The steaks were great. The pricing was kind of high but it was worth it in the end. My wife was pleased with her food and that made me happy.

Chris was outstanding!! We celebrated my husbands 51st birthday and my in-laws 53rd anniversary. She made us all feel special with roses 🌹 personalized notes and wonderful advice on food and 🥃 🍸 Thank you Chris 😘

A few years ago my wife was just recovering from battling a serious illness that had kept her home for over a year. We spent our anniversary the year before at home uncertain if she would ever recovery. She did but it was a slow process. Although still weak next year we decided to celebrate our anniversary at the Capitol Grill... however the night we choose was much busier than normal, our 7:30 reservation was pushed to past 9pm..no one fault , people were just staying longer than expected. My wife was still weak and we had to leave before we were able to dine. Not a huge deal and again no one's fault. Two days later I get a survey on our experience, I responded with our tale. Within an hour my phone just blew up with upper management folks asking what they could do to make this right. I explained that I held them not in the least responsible, but they insisted on treating my wife and I and another couple to dinner. It was a fabulous meal as have been every meal we have had there in the last decade.Food and service here are top notch , customer service is world class. 5 Stars!

Everything from the atmosphere, the service, the food and the drinks were great. My wife was extremely pleased. Steaks were cooked to perfection.

The place was clean. Wait staff friendly. I liked the roof top experience. The food was out fast and very good. The drinks we're reasonable priced. Could have been a little cheaper but at normal pricing based on other similar restaurants.i will definitely go again.

Valet parking makes access easy. The conveniently located elevator takes guests up to the restaurant, where they are greeted upon entering and offered a seat at the bar or taken to a table. It’s and old-style restaurant environment with all the modern services. The service is “traditional”, but not stuffy. Highly recommend lunch reservations. The appetizers are delicious and the entrées are exquisitely prepared and presented; simply elegant.

“The Girls” have been friends for 40 years going to dinner for each birthday and our annual Christmas night out for dinner so we have been to a lot of dinners. Sometimes repeating at a really good restaurant. When one suggested going back to dine at the Capital Grille we thought great, we had a great time there before. However, unlike our experience at the Perimeter location— a nice atmosphere, not too crowded, excellent service & good food— our dining experience at the Capital Grille on E. Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead was far below acceptable. We waited almost 45 minutes past our reservation to be seated. Then we waited a long time to be waited on & our orders taken. The waiter didn’t think to let us know that the salmon came with green beans when we proceeded to all order salmon along with “shareable” sides of mashed potatoes AND asparagus. Terrible service from our arrival and we won’t be going back— at least not to this location ever again.

Took a chance on this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews, and as usual, the reviews were correct. My husband had the chef’s suggestion of sliced filet with a fig something or other, and it was a top 5 steak experience! I had the seared scallops .... terrific and more than I could eat. Portions are not lacking. Lovely selection of hot light and dark breads. We also enjoyed a flight of 7 wines which added a higher level to the entire experience. The service was incredible.. from our server, who was perfect to the sous chef and manager who stopped by to greet us and to make sure we were happy with our selections. Major kudos for caring!! Will definitely go back.

This is our once a year treat as we celebrate our anniversary. Wonderful doesn't describe the delicious food and Professional Services this location provided. We as already were treated to dessert as always, and will be back in one year to time. Perfection Mr. Kenneth, thank you!

Great overall quality, nice local in great central location in Atlanta shopping district. Great meat but you can also eat fish. Impeccable service.

Came to the Capital Grill with a group on a business trip. Fantastic service everyone was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Tracy at the bar makes a killer cocktail and the food was to die for. I had the filet with onions mushrooms in a fog reduction and it was like eating butter it was so tender. The brussel sprouts were fantastic, I literally kept the server dish beside me hidden from everyone else LOL. I would highly recommend and hope to return one day!

I had an unforgettable experience at The Capital Grille in Atlanta. From the moment we arrived, the staff was hospitable and welcoming. Our reservations were ready, and we were served immediately. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the food choices were excellent. Our server, Deee, was exceptional. She took her time to explain the menu choices and even shared her favorite selections with us, which we tried and loved. The Executive Chef Benito also came over to share a couple other recommendations. Omar assisted us with a few entrees and offered great service and conversation. The Manager Shari came by to check on our dining experience and offered excellent conversation along with an invitation to return. The food was incredibly delicious and every bite was delightful. The entire experience was amazing, and I rate it an A++++. The Capital Grille is unmatched if you're looking for a genuine fine-dining experience. I highly recommend it! Great job to this awesome team for the excellent service.

Had an amazing meal there. Wonderful potato leek soup, melt in your mouth steak, amazing flourless chocolate cake. Server very friendly and helpful. Pricey but worth it. Use valet parking.

You won't get better service or a better prepared steak anywhere. Excellent wine selection and a solid menu.

I've been here several times, but this is noteworthy. A friend from out of town who maintains a Kosher diet was visiting and we selected Capital Grill for our meal, certain they would have something. There was nothing Kosher on the menu, however the Chef went out of his was and prepared the perfect meal. Everything was prepared on foil, plastic tableware was even provided. First class restaurant.

If you’re looking for a special place to celebrate a special day, this is it. Beautiful ambiance, great food, excellent service.

We had a delicious business meal and talk today that was tarnished by an unhappy employee (Dione) that decided to not bring the COO of our medical practice (who normally likes to mingle instead of sitting at the doctors table) a drink and slammed or tossed every dish/utensil at her through out the entire meal. The host of the business meal and our COO were baffled with her treatment and were trying to figure out if Dione/the server was rubbed the wrong way when we made inqueries to insure that all of our staff were able to submit their drink and meal requests. Instead of persisting, our COO just went out to the bar, ordered and paid there for her own drink. We have been coming to this Capital Grille for decades and are saddened to see such a decline in customer service.

I've been here for several anniversaries and other nice dinners. They always deliver. We had a big family dinner to celebrate in-laws 40th anniversary, and the service was stellar. Stoli Doli's always for the win....

This is our go to place for a celebratory meal, especially steak. We have tried most of the recommended steak houses in Atlanta and none have rivaled this restaurant.

The title says it all. Everything was superb and fresh. They can even make you crave raw kale, after you've had their kale salad!

My friend and I celebrated our joint birthday here and we were treated sooooo special! My first time in the restaurant and I was totally delighted by the staff and the FOOD IS DELICIOUS! Of course my husband ordered the largest steak on the menu (I ate some of his) and I ordered the sides (family style). We tasted to our hearts content. Be prepared for a large bill at the end of the night but I believe they earned every penny. Thank you Capital Grille...I won't forget the night. During the photo taking session I received my first photo bomb!

Attention to detail was the order of the day! My guest and I arrived for a special celebratory lunch. The table was subtly decorated for the occasion. Our server, Roselle, was top-notch! She was quite personable. It was evident that she reviewed the special notes, that I sent w/ my reservation. (She weaved them into our greeting with no effort.)My guest said that the petite filet mignon was cooked to perfection. I was pleased with my lobster and crab burger. Plenty of lump lobster and crab meat to be found! (I prefer the Maine lobster roll.) We complemented our meals with truffle fries and Sam's potatoes. We ended our meal with flourless chocolate espresso cake and the signature cheesecake. Excellent!

Everything about the Capital Grille was fantastic. From the staff to the food. Our waiter was excellent. He paid attention to every detail and was attentive but not annoying. The food was also excellent. You definitely get what you pay for. Honestly, even if the food wasn't as good as it was, we still would have had an amazing time because you just don't get service like that anywhere. It was well worth it. We will definitely be back. It was an amazing experience.

Food was delightful. They have good steaks, and potatoes and onions. We had beans for a side order and the menu has good variety . Order steaks less done than normal.

Exceptional and attentive service from Valet to dessert! Waiter was professional and spot on from beginning to end. The food was prepared perfectly and our experience there lasted over 2 hours. The time flew by and I cannot wait to return!

This is absolutely a 'special occasion' type of place. Since we had a special occasion to celebrate, we booked a reservation about a week in advance, for a Saturday evening. Our nav-app directed us into the Shops of Buckhead where the valet picks up your car (you don't get a choice). We then had to walk a couple of blocks to the restaurant itself. It might be possible to drop the car off closer (?). At the end of the night, there appeared to be multiple pick-up places for the cars also (and they charge you $10 at that point). You take an elevator up to the restaurant, located on the 8th floor. The interior is all dark wood, with the sort of club/lodge aspect that you might expect with an old-school chophouse. They seemed pretty focused on reservation times; part of that may be that they are pretty busy. We were seated by our reservation time. The wait staff are all uniformed and very professional. We were seated in a booth, though if you have a choice or can request something, a window seat would definitely be preferable. There are good views south to the downtown Atlanta skyline. They have laminated regular menus plus a tablet-based drink menu. Our party of 4 split getting steak and fish. We split 2 salads and also split one side-dish (mashed potatoes) for the table, which was adequate. We were skipping dessert (partly due to being quite full from the meal and also that we had a birthday cake waiting at home). However, they brought a small complimentary birthday plate with 2 sampler mini-cakes, which was nice. Everyone seemed to like their dishes. My steak was very good, as were the pear salad and the side. Given the prices, I would not come here regularly, but you get what you pay for. This is definitely a good choice if you are planning a special night out, though.

We had a family dinner ranging from 85 year old to a 3 year old and were able to find something for everyone.

We had an excellent experience at the Capital Grille in Buckhead Saturday night. There were 6 of us and every one of us enjoyed our food. Appetizers of oysters and also the calamari were delicious. We all enjoyed our entrees. The wine list was extensive. We enjoyed our dinner in a private room that was very comfortable. Our server, Melissa, was just perfect. She was friendly, professional, and took care of our every need, even before we knew them. Capital Grille has a star with her. The next time we are in Atlanta, this will be our first place to eat.

Out for a celebratory evening, we gave Capital Grille a go. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the calamari per our servers suggestion. It was good but just a typical calamari appetizer . I also tried the lobster bisque soup. It was good but could have had more meat. My husband and I both ordered steaks. They were cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth tender. Flavoring was on spot. We ordered the brussel sprouts and lobster Mac and cheese as sides. We chose wisely. They gave us to small deserts, as it was a birthday celebration. We left happy and with leftovers. There are so many great restaurants in Atlanta, and this is one to put on the list to try.

Had a long meeting at the restaurant. The crab and lobster cakes was a great starters the ribeye steak with au Gratin potatoes was for sure beyond a winner. Finished with a crème Brûlée with fresh berries. Outstanding food with very good service.

I have been to the Capital Grill several times for dinner presentations in a group session. I always get the Bone-in NY Strip Steak. It comes with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak has a special coffee topping and is incredible. The mashed potatoes are smooth with no lumps and the green beans are thin and tender. Both are very tasty. Cost is around $29. We also got chocolate cheese cake for desert. It is too rich to eat at one sitting, so I get it to go. The steak is about 14 oz. so I box up half of it to go as well.

We celebrated my husband’s 40th at Capital Grille and it was the best night ever! Our table was decorated by the staff (thrilling our kids to no end). From our appetizers (shrimp for him, the burrata salad for me) to our filets and desserts, this meal was fantastic and the service could not have been any better.

It was my wife's birthday. We celebrated with lunch at Capital Grille. The atmosphere is very nice. The service is excellent. Our server Daniel was wonderful. The table was set up with rose pedals, hearts & a birthday card. Our meal was excellent. My wife had the lobster salad ($29), & clam chowder ($10). The soup was amazing & there was lots of lobster 🦞 in here salad. I had the parmesan crusted salmon which came with choice of either a salad or cup of clam chowder ($22). The salmon was excellent as well. We were served a complimentary dessert which was absolutely delicious.

It is very good. It is also very expensive. This is a business or special occasion spot. Surrounded by other fine steakhouses, it doesn’t tower above the others but you won’t be disappointed. Food is fresh, nice wine list, service is on point. The good thing is that whichever location you visit, you know what to expect. Nice little bar for a predinner cocktail.

My son is autistic and refuses to wear jeans so he had on Nike sport shorts. The dress attire is strict but they still sat us in the front of the restaurant and still served us after I explained the situation. They were very friendly, the waitress was amazing, and the food tasted great.

Someone gave me a gift card to dine here,but because they never have an A score,I have never booked a reservation or anything...I guess I will find out one day hopefully. Please get your inspection score up to an A,so I can try your food..and also give you a decent rating

Went here for a birthday party. Food was great, staff was very attentive. Overall, a great experience.

Came to celebrate anniversary. Table was decorated for us which was nice. Service was good, however one of the plates we were given for appetizers was scratched and worn, not exactly what they should be using for table service. Our server gave us a dessert menu and we ordered a dessert then she brought a complimentary dessert and champagne, why didn't she mention that before we ordered something! So we brought home the dessert we ordered.

We dined at the Dunwoodie location. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. We were greeted with a note thanking us for celebrating my husband’s birthday at Capital Grille and confetti on the table. My husband ordered the ribeye and I ordered the lamb. We started with the heirloom salad and had the brussels sprouts with our meal. They brought a complimentary dessert for my husband’s birthday. It was as beautiful as it was delicious! In a time when customer service seems to not exist, this experience exceeded expectations! Josh, our server took good care of us! I am a stickler for customer service, and Capital Grulle did not disappoint!

I was there for a banquet meal and the food was great. Its not often you still get a great steak, cooked the way you like it, in a crowd of people. The wine list is nice as well.

You know the saying that you always remember a place better than it actually is? Well Capital Grille didn’t disappoint at all! Our waiter, Daniel was amazing and took very good care of us! My niece had gotten sick as we entered and battled feeling sick while we were there. Daniel was so thoughtful to bring her a little dessert to help her feel better (her happiness at that dessert is the picture). Our steaks were amazing, my sister’s sea bass was huge and she savored every bite. My mom also very much enjoyed her chicken. My truffle parm fries were AMAZING! We wanted to get dessert, but had to pass because of my niece. I definitely want to visit again! It is still the best place I’ve ever eaten at!

Never really stray too far from the staples but this porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye was fantastic. My wife had the Veal Chop and other than it being way too large it was quite good as well. Definitely coming back.

My go to supper is always the bone in NY Steak and Truffle fries. Never have we in 5 years been disappointed in a meal at this spectacular venue. The service is so welcoming and efficient. Always a favorite!

We had the best anniversary dinner here thanks to our waiter, Daniel. The food, desserts and everything was amazing! This is our favorite celebration place and it never dissapoints. We will be coming back, as soon as possible. We highly recommend this place.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but this restaurant was phenomenal! Our waitress was top notch and took good care of us. She answered any questions with a smile and was always taking our plates and silverware when we was done. The food was great. I had the New York strip and it was cooked just how I like my steak. My fiancée had the mint and honey lamb chops and she said they was amazing. We also had calamari for an appetizer and it didn’t disappoint. Now the side of mashed potatoes we ordered was the best potatoes we have ever had in our life. They was so flavorful. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake and it was also amazing! The staff did wonderful by putting our leftovers in containers and in a bag for us. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the Atlanta area again.

I had a special dinner there with friends. The service was excellent. The prices were high.The restaurant was beautiful. The food was good, not great. I did not like the seasoning on the expensive steak at all. I probably would not go back.

This Capital Grille was my favorite and I took customers tonight to share a Christmas dinner. Out of three steaks, all 3 were overcooked. The shrimp appetizer was over-cooked. Not expected and to top it, 3 initial servers until one settled in and was inexperienced. Many choices and this was my go-to. Very disappointed and hope they get better. Restaurant was not crowded on Thursday before Christmas may be a telling sign! Very suprised at the service and food preparation.

You can't go wrong at this fine dining place. The service is impeccable and the dining room is lovely. We like sitting at the bar where the food and service are just as good. Not a cheap date but try it.

I have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and had the privilege of being taken there by my wife and kids for my birthday recently. The best word for the dinner was “exceptional.” The food, the wine, the service, the atmosphere were all excellent.

We celebrated Valentine's Day with great food, wine and red roses. Lobster bisque to start and then filets and New York steaks. All prepared perfectly. We each added a lobster tail and it was one of the sweetest we have ever had. and for Dessert we shared an order of Flowerless Chocolate Espresso Cake and Creme Brulee'. Thank you Brian, Sabrina and Jojo, for a wonderful dining experience.

This was my first time at The Capital Grille. I had heard many nice things about it, so my wife and I thought we would give it a try. First off, the atmosphere was very nice. I was kind of surprised at how some of the other patrons were dressed (jeans, tshirts, hoodies, etc.) because I thought this was a more upscale restaurant. The food was very good, but for what we got, I thought it was pretty expensive. My wife had the bone-in filet, salad, smashed potatoes and three glasses of wine. I had the dry-aged New York strip, truffle fries, and sweet tea. Since it was our anniversary, dessert was provided for us. Before tip, the bill came to $225.00. Again, the food was very good, but we can get food just as good in Chattanooga for about $80.00 less. I do want to give a special thank you to our server, Nicole. She had a rose waiting for my wife and a card for the two of us. We never had to wait for anything, but she was never intrusive. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, but this restaurant is best saved for special occasions.

Great experience. Superb service. Food was excellent. Drinks 🍸 weren't watered down. One of the better restaurants in Atlanta. Missed my picture of the Chilean Sea Bass. Must visit if you're in Buckhead.

I've had the pleasure of eating at the Capital Grille on at least three occasions. The food was good and tasty. The nachos were so good as well as the grill chicken salad.

All I can say is 🤧🤭🌈😲🥰🤩😭🥺🥺..... My flurry of emotions with how Capital Grille made our special Day even more special. They did sooo many wonderful things for us and paid attention to every little detail. The food and drinks were sooo freakin’good it’s truly unexplainable!!!! Thank you Capital Grille for raising the bar and being exceptional!!! Lastly, our server Chelsea is the absolute best. She and the wait staff are truly the reason why Capital Grille exceeds expectations!!

My family came here for my birthday, and we had the most pleasant experience. The food was scrumptious! The servers attended to our needs and were very accommodating with our baby. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Steaks were amazing but the server tried way too hard to suggest most expensive items from the menu. Wine/drinks in general very over priced. Atmosphere was excellent and service would have been excellent if he wasn't so pushy.

Had reservations yet waited 2 hours to be seated. Food was bland and green beans were not cooked. The Manager passed our table several times and never asked once how was dinner, which ran around $150.00 for two people. Horrible experience, so I will not be going back.

This was possibly the best dining experience I have ever had. My son got the lamb and I had a steak, both of which were cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding and the wine smooth! I felt spoiled. It was pricey but worth every dime as it was an amazing experience I will never forget!

Food is always on point. I usually order the lobster avocado salad and lobster bisque soup. But i mean I’m sure it would be pretty hard to screw up a salad and soup.......Service is nice too. The restaurants itself it’s outdated and is well overdue for a remodel.

We had the best meal we have had in a long time 2 weeks ago at Capital Grill in Buckhead. The Veal chop was mouthwatering. I usually eat a Filet but this time choose the Veal. If you haven’t been to this restaurant you MUST try it. Our server was Daniel and he took very good care of us. I have been to this Capital Grill on many occasions and always get the best service. Try it.

The steak was melt in your mouth good! The wine recommendation was perfect with the meal. Our waiter was very informative and had awesome suggestions. The lobster Mac and cheese was fabulous!

One of the best restaurant chain I have ever been! Top passionately served, full tasting steak tartar and fantastic filet mignon: great selection of wine from the best italian vineyards, amazing creme brule asdessert The second night (in a row) I prefered fish: wow, what a tuna tartar avocado/mango as appetizer and fantastic swordfish as main course. Mash potatoes and creamy spinach to share: everything fine and delicious as the Italian white wine. Price accordingly, because top quality must be paid! See u soon and go on like this!

Celebrated my adult son's birthday at Capital Grille. The food and customer service were both 10+. We all look forward to returning!

better than most chain restaurants and more costly as well, Not a "once in your lifetime" experience but worth trying

We dined here for the first time in many years. The service was excellent. The food was good, not great, but good. However, the atmosphere was horrible. There is entirely too much light in the restaurant. In addition to the overhead light there is a wall that divides the booths. Sitting on this wall are multiple lamps that provides harsh unfiltered LED light. The light itself was not only horrible, the entire time we had to look through the bottom of the lamp and see the unfiltered light bulb. Who wants to see that, especially since the lamps are so unnecessary. This is the reason lamps are never placed higher than your seating. Because of the lighting situation we will most likely never return. There are many nice steak houses with appropriate lighting to go to in the same area.

Denise was are server who went above and beyond for my little sister's birthday party! She made sure our private room was set and our food came out in a timely manner! We had a preset dinner menu and it was perfect! I loved the lobster crab cakes and calamari for appetizers. Then I ate the field green salad with white ginger peach decaf hot tea. And for my main entrees I ordered the filet mignon and green beans with tomatoes. Everything was decadent! This restaurant has consistently given our family and friends superb service over the years and that's what keeps us coming back!!! #EatHERE ~Ashli H.❤❤❤❤❤

I have been several times. My most memorable was Valentines Day. We actually went the day before and beat the crowd. We got extra special treatment with champagne and a rose. We did not have to rush, our waiter was very accommodating and of course as always the food was delicious. You can never go wrong with Capital Grill.

The Capital Grille continues to impress! From the atmosphere to the menu and cocktails this place always seems to be just about perfect. It has such a private club feel to it as if it were exclusive to the few but everyone is welcomed. Even our server, Shari, made sure our night was great. Although Capital Grille is on the mid-upper price scale it is certainly well worth it. We had two different cuts of steaks and a few side dishes. The temperatures were perfect and it was seasoned very nicely. My Old Fashioned is well made too. I would recommend this spot for a romantic evening or even for a casual drink with friends but come early. It does get busy during the later hours and upwards of an hour wait can be expected.

Free valet parking. Very nice place especially for a date night. Bartenders are very friendly. Great drinks!! Don’t forget to check out the huge wine cellar!!! Best calamari in town!!!

We drove into Atlanta for the evening to catch a show and really wanted to have a nice dinner before we went. what a GEM. This establishment holds nothing back from top rated service and items for indulgence. Upon our arrival and being seated the table was prepared with a rose, a card and pizazz for our anniversary. Our server Denyse Gomez was amazingly engaged and interested . She aske about our plans for the evening so she can manage to get us fed and out the door to make it to the show. From the drinks and wines selections to the food there is nothing spared for top shelf cuisine and service. We are frequently travelers internationally and this has to be in our top 5 Dining establishments globally. Prepare to be treated to another class of dining experience, especially if you have been to "other high end steak/chop houses". The Captial Grille and its staff are leaps and bounds ahead of the curve. you will not be disappointed. Thanks again to them and especially Denyse for making our evening great.

Background: - we decided to go to the capital grille after disappointing treatment by the manager of Nikolai’s rooftop at the Hilton, Atlanta. Pros: - food was excellent! Ordered the fillet mignon (well done) with lobster mac and cheese and mash. We finished everything on our plate. - the steak came back well done, not burnt or dry as is usually the case when ordering well done steak. - service was also excellent. We were lucky enough to be served by Melissa. Cons - nothing I can think of! Would highly recommend.

A great experience in a unique 8th-floor setting in the trendy Buckhead area. Roselle offered impeccable service, pointing out the specials of the day along with wine selections. She was nearby for every need but not hovering. Management was also very welcoming. And the food was superb. The soup of the day, lobster bisque, had huge chunks of the seafood. My entree, scallops with asparagus and parsnip puree, was out of this world, and my companion's dry-aged New York strip was prepared perfectly. For dishes to share we had lobster mac 'n' cheese and French green beans with heirloom tomatoes, both magnificent. Darden, the corporate parent, really has a gold mine with their Capital Grille restaurants. I've tried them at several locations. You can't go wrong.

OK, a little pricey but you get your moneys worth. Try the Lobster Mac & Cheese for an appetizer. I like the tuna. It is good stuff and they do it just right. If you want to enhance a great night out, ask for Melissa Hefferman to be your server. She knows her stuff and will treat you right.

This is one of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to. From the moment they greet you till you leave, everyone is incredibly friendly and professional. The manager also passes by the tables and genuinely makes sure everything is ok. Our server -Roselle- was amazing. Everything we ordered was perfect : soups, salads, starters, sides, and of course the steaks. The truffle rub is a very unique and impressive must try. We even ordered Mac n cheese for our children and it was excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful and the decor very classy. Beautiful view of Atlanta’s skyline. Pricey as expected but well worth it. Perfect place.

Visited the Capital Grille for a special Anniversary dinner at the end of August and had a delightful dinner. The Kona New York Strip was delicious and satisfying. The best part was the caramelized brussel sprouts with bacon! The sprouts were a very rich and unique side dish which my husband and I enjoyed. A definite "must try". The service was not what I had expected though. I felt that our waiter did not go the extra mile to talk about the menu items. Something that I've grown to expect from fine steakhouses. I have to say that I've visited all the top steakhouses in the Atlanta Metro area and Capital Grille was good but not the best in my opinion. In my book, Bones is still #1 overall for food, service, and attention to detail.

My husband made a same day reservation here for my birthday because my favorite restaurant was closed. We arrived right on time and was immediately seated. Although the restaurant looked formal, there didn’t seem to be a dress code because I saw everything from formal suits and dresses to jeans and khaki shorts with sandals. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. My husband told them it was my birthday but I don’t think our waiter was told because there was no mention nor anything special even though we saw 3 other tables get free deserts and decorated tables. We ordered the calamari and crab cakes for an appetizer. Both were very good, we ate every piece. We both had steaks for dinner. We ordered medium well but they were more medium. I didn’t mind because I didn’t want to send my steak back but my husband thought his was too pink and for a $50 steak wanted it cooked the way he wanted it. We also had the lobster Mac and cheese which was AMAZING!! I wish they had a surf and turf option because I would’ve liked to taste their lobster but they do not. Overall great place and I’ll be back. I took a star off for my just ok margarita, no mention of my birthday and the very bloody steak.

My wife and I have eaten here probably 10 times. The food and service are always impeccable. I can't say enough good things. You will be so happy you chose to go. Everything we have eaten here is to die for.

This is a great place with great food and the best waiters that you can find. The waiters explain all the different dishes that they have available in addition to the list of wines. Once the food arrives, you will be surprised by the presentation of the dish and then you will enjoy the great taste. Definitely a great choice.

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary and my 80th birthday with a great dinner at The Capital Grille. As usual the drinks, food and service were exceptional. We have never been disappointed with anything and highly recommend The Grille for any occasion !

We had a small business lunch here last week. Nothing flashy or ornate, just solid service, excellent food, and lots of class. I had an iceberg wedge with ribeye steak sandwich. The wedge was good. The steak was enough to eat as a steak without the bread. Dessert sampler topped the meal perfectly. Sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. The only issue is finding the place. Easy to find if you know where you are going but I heard several complain it wasn't well marked. Look for Valet Parking sign and then take the elevator up 18 floors.

I called to book a private event. The hostess sent me to the website to inquire. I thought that was a bit impersonal for having called to speak with someone. I received a very generic copy and pasted email response. The email came from an email that did not accept replies so I couldn't even ask the coordinator any questions. Where I have enjoyed dining at the CG, I will not be having my private event with them.

Date Night for my wife and me, restaurant was basically filled to capacity so sound level was a little higher than we prefer but not to the point of being aggravating. Food was as always very good, I had the 10 oz filet perfectly cooked and my wife had Lump Crab Cocktail, Caesar Salad, Glass of Wine etc. No surprises here just very good and as always on the expensive side, but hey we keep coming back so that should tell you something.

This restaurant is the best The Capital Grille I've been to. Upscale dining with amazing food and fantastic service. The tuna tartare is wonderful. The filet with the Kona rub (added) was perfectly prepared and delicious (cooked medium). The cheesecake was delightful (light and creamy). Good wine list and cocktail list. You cannot go wrong. We went for my wife's birthday and took my sons with us. Great food! great Service! The service started as we walked in the door.Every person welcomed us and asked how they could help. We had told them we were coming in for her birthday and they made the table just a little special to recognize it. The steaks were phenomenal. Cooked exactly as we ordered. Walking into The Capital Grille feels like entering a time machine to the 1980s – dark wood, portraits of important-looking strangers, and prices that make your eyes water. My $80 ribeye arrived overcooked despite my medium request, and the server seemed more annoyed than apologetic when I mentioned it. The alcohol list particularly infuriated me – most were marked up 200-300% above retail prices. I recognized a $60 bottle being sold for $120. Their signature ‘dry aging’ process supposedly justifies the hefty price tags, but I’ve had juicier, more flavorful steaks at local independent spots for half the cost. What you’re really paying for is the privilege of telling people you ate at Capital Grille, horrible quality wirh outrageous pricing.

My friends took me there for my 78th birthday! Absolutely wonderful! They started us out with a complimentary champagne toast and gave each one of us ladies a long stem rose. The food is very very very good.

Stepping into Capital Grill where the lighting is a perfect compliment to the white tablecloths. Servers here take care of you like you are their only focus. Make sure to ask them about favorites and specials. Save room for all the courses even if you have to share. This place nationwide never disappoints and Atlanta is on top.

We had a 6:45 pm dinner reservation for bar seating and arrived early. This seemed to be an inconvenience to our server and we were treated accordingly all evening. The appetizer of tuna tartare was excellent but drink service was rather slow. When my date ordered her steak as Rare+ the waitress tilted her head like a dog with you make a funny noise and said "I've never heard of that." We had to ask for her drink to be refilled and it's a good thing I didn't want a second drink because not only did mine sit empty for 20 minutes I was never asked if I'd like another. Her steak arrived less than rare; my dinner was good (tenderloin medallions and lobster). We brought her dinner back home and cooked it some more and it was good.

Capital Grill is my go-to for business lunches. The attention to detail is great and environment is very conducive for a business conversation. It is also a great spot for my wife and I when we want to get away and have someone else serve a perfectly prepared steak.

We come to Atlanta every year or so, and when in town we like to try something new. Of course we have our favorites ( Bones, Bacchanalia, and Jeni's for ice cream ).But we always try something new. This trip it was The Capital Grille. This place oozes class. It is what Morton's used to be (before several corporate sellouts). The interior of this restaurant is done in a dark and classy wood, and the tables are far enough apart to enjoy your own meal.The staff is professionally dressed and polite. I had the Bone in Kona New York steak. It was served medium rare. It was tender and tasty. We shared a Pear and Gorgonzola salad, and brussel sprouts. Both were also excellent. We look forward to making this one of our go to spots when we come to Atlanta next.

My family celebrates many special occasions here and the restaurant always surpasses our expectations. The food is exceptional and priced comparably to high-end steakhouses in Atlanta. You don't come here with small children looking for a bargain. I'm told by other family members that the wine list is fabulous. My husband and I have gone there for Anniversary and Birthday dinners. It is excellent and the quality has not changed through the years.

Taste of the food was awesome. I had the calamari for starters and it is the best I have ever had. They served us a palate cleanser before we ordered our main meals and it tasted great. Our server was top notched. We had the chocolate mousse and cheese cake for desert. Undoubtedly one of the best places that I have eaten at since living in Atlanta. It gets a full 5 stars from me and my colleagues.

My wife & I were celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary. The minute we walked in we were greeted & wished a happy anniversary. When we arrived at our table there were rose pedals on the table & graffiti hearts along with an anniversary card. We ordered the Lobster bisque, which was a special. It was absolutely delicious. We each had the 2 pound whole Maine lobster ($60). It was steamed & was fantastic. We took more than a half lobster home. Our server, Nicole, was great. Her service was impeccable. They gave us a free dessert that was cheese cake & a chocolate cake. Yummy. We were made to feel so special. This was a perfect anniversary meal.

Very good restaurant to have business meetings on weekdays. Server Theo was very good and diligent. After reading so many raves about lobster Mac & Cheese, I jump right at it, but was disappointed. Luckily others had burgers that really worth something . I could stick with steaks or burgers if you want to get the restaurants best

When we first arrived, I was pleased to see that we were seated in a private space. However, the private space meant that we were mostly neglected for the duration of our meal. Things that I normally would not mind start to matter a lot when your total bill is over $500 for a party of 5 (dishes left on the table, water not being filled, no opportunity to order a second drink, etc.) And, the creamed corn was way oversold. It is pleasant (freshly grilled corn), but not outstanding. The "special" of fried shrimp needs some work. It had the coating of a frozen fried shrimp, not what is expected from a fine restaurant like The Capital Grille.

I went here last year during restaurant week, I was shocked at the pricing and actually really had better steaks at the franchises. My steak was medium well but way under cooked, not seasoned or presented in a way that made sense for the pricing. Over rated in my book!!!!

Very good meal, great starter, French Onion Soup, was recommended by waitress and it was a good choice, main and wine were also great. But the service that was stand out, waitress had a good understanding of all the wines on offer. It’s a top class place and I would be ready to go again, in fact I might just return tonight.

We ordered dinner menu at lunch time because I wanted to treat my guest best, but the Bone-in ribeye was completely burnt and bitter. The lamb chop tasted burnt and bitter too. Restaurant cooked Bone-in ribeye again. It was still bitter and black. My guest only had a very small slice and put it aside. It was embarrass to complain and everyone would be unhappy if we complained again. So it is not a good choice to invite your important guess to this restaurant.

Complimentary desert and champagne for our anniversary was unexpected. Highly recommend! Francis, our server was excellent also. He knew every dish on the menu and was very helpful. Never left us unattended. Also had a great personality. I must warn you that this restaurant is quite expensive, but worth it!

My brother in law needed to wear a hat to keep the top of his head warm in the cold restaurant. Only after we ordered did the staff tell us about a no hats policy. This was communicated in a rude fashion. We stayed because we had elderly family with us. Staying was a mistake because the food was at best fair at 5 star prices. My advice is go to a nice family restaurant instead for a better experience and better food at half the price

Been to dozens of Cap Grilles and never been treated this bad. Decided randomly to drop in for a late lunch/early dinner after an afternoon of errands. I realize we were not dressed that great but we still graciously waited an hour for the bar to "become available," as most of the tables sat empty. The hostesses seated several others in jeans and sneakers and tee shirts, including a woman in sweat pants and a sweatshirt. Saw lots of servers strolling around as tables sat empty. I understand a dress code, but right at 5 pm on a Sunday in an empty restaurant during Covid when OTHERS casually dressed get favored by the hostess? Have some objectivity or maybe don't give that kind of discretion to inexperienced hostesses who let business walk away. We just wanted to give you our money and grab a quick bite to eat. That is bad practice and clear favoritism. Come on Cap Grille~ aren't you a tad too good to be acting like that?

We hand an engagement party for our daughter, her fiancé and about 25 family and friends In a private room. The service was immaculate, as well as the food presentation and the attention to detail. There were several options for steaks and other entrees and multiple sides, appetizers, and desserts,. All was handles in a most impressive way by the staff. I can’t say how much everyone enjoyed themselves and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us in these trying times. Jimmy

We visited the Capital Grill prior to the holidays on a slow Thursday night. Had visited this location two years ago and had one of the best dinners ever. I travel all over the country and eat at great restaurants and this HAD been one of the best. It obviously has changed. First of all, our server seemed to be preoccupied, or lacked the attention to detail to service her customers properly. She was slow to stop bye the table and keep the meal moving at a normal pace. Our appetizers were okay, but once we received our salads, the main course had arrived before we had even finished. We both ordered steaks that were overcooked. The side of brussel sprouts were soggy and not crisp. Not good I had heard, after the fact, that the head chef has left and moved on. You can tell there has been a change and hopefully the ship will be righted.

If you want impeccable service along with great food and go here. The lobster mac & cheese is to die for! the best I ever had !

Business dinner so limited choices but all fairly good and huge portions. The standouts were the steamed seafood app and the chocolate flourless cake. Both were heavenly. Also the calamari was delicious. On the just meh list were sadly the lamb chops (which were recommended to me over the filet when I told the waiter I was having a hard time deciding), lobster bisque and Caesar (both way under seasoned), sea bass (overcooked). All sides were good not great. Service was top notch. Thoroughly impressed.

Lobster Mac and cheese was phenomenal. Steaks are the best quality as expected. If you get the peppercorn rub, I'd request a light rub. It was a little overpowering and I love peppercorn. Truffle fries were just ok. Would rate 4.5 if that was an option.

Well, I was supposed to be celebrating a friends birthday. Seeing as how I traveled some 8,000 miles to see her, you would have thought she would not forget to show up at our favorite place... but she did. So, alone, I sat. At the bar. Just me and Tracy, the bartender. Well, and a few more self-important people. Nevertheless... I started off with the classic Stoli Doli and decided I’d have a good time on my own. Tracy can MIX! The signature drink I think they have is actually the lemon drop martini. Tracy was touched by the angels of mercy and goodness and peace on earth when she mixed that! I was just quietly sniggling to myself, enjoying a fresh Ceasar salad and delicious bread when that liquid courage made me order a bunch of food to go. Yes, I could have eaten it there, but I was not that courageous. And I had another friend that adored CG and I thought I would share. So... lamb chops, mashed potatoes, asparagus and lobster mac x 2 that Chef Adam must have put his foot in! OMG. It was TOO MUCH GOOD! That man can cook! Yaaaassssss! The flavors were perfect, even when I ate some of the food the next day. I’m tempted to return again before I leave the country because this really is my happy place. Thank you Tracy and Adam. The service and food were delightful.

Went to Capital Grille for Thanksgiving Dinner this year with my husband and our son! It was crowded, to say the least, but the overall atmosphere was festive and inviting! We were treated with the utmost patronage and care. And although there was a wait to be seated, we were certainly not overlooked. Rather, we felt the staff was doing their very best to manage the large crowd. Then there was the food! Exquisite might be a good word here. We didn't spare the expense this day and tried several extra sides with our turkey dinner. Everything was delicious! Service over-the-top! Capital Grill has my vote!!

After studying the reviews across multiple sites, I decided this was the place for my wife's birthday and made reservations at the Dunwoody location. Best. Decision. Ever. Every aspect of the meal was amazing. We started with the lobster bisque and it was unreal. It had huge chunks of lobster and a full claw. My wife had the tenderloin with lobster tail for dinner and I had the filet with the gorganzola crust. Her tenderloin was a perfect medium rare and my filet was an absolute perfect rare. McKendrick's filets taste like a salt cube. The cuts of meat we had at the Capital Grille were seasoned perfectly. The half portion a la carte sides (perfectly cooked asparagus and creamed spinach) were a nice touch. The cheesecake dessert was also fantastic. If you have room left try their cheesecake for sure. Ramon was our server and I suggest you request him when you make your reservation. He is a fantastic professional and is probably the best server I've ever had. We'll definitely be back. And for the people leaving reviews complaining about $50 medium well or well done steak not being cooked right, do yourself and favor and get your steak from a place where you can throw peanut shells on floor.

We went to Capital Grille for a special wine dinner. It was our first time. It was a group experience, and those are different from individual experiences. Service was more than adequate, but not great. I ordered a strip steak, and it was not very good. My husband loved his salmon. He would go back. For the price, I would not. I enjoyed the evening, but it was not because of the food.

The food is good. But it's not melt-in-your-mouth good. It's not consistently good. It's not write home to your momma good. The service is....good. They're younger, so not that polished. They're bright, but sometimes overbearing. They know their food, but don't have a comparative palette. It's not that I wouldn't eat there again, but there are a TON of better places to eat in Buckhead for around the same money.

The food and service are top-notch here! Our server's name was Kenneth & he was extremely attentive and kind. I started off with the butternut squash soup. One of the chefs specials, the South African Lobster was something our server suggested and everyone added to their meal. It was my first time having fried lobster tail and it was amazing. Rotisserie chicken with potatoes was the other part of my main course. For dessert I had an apple tostada, without ice cream. Everything was prepared with such love and care. I have dinned at many Capital Grille's and this one is as good as it gets. Business dinner with 5 others and everyone loved it. We all had a couple drinks in the bar before dinner and the drinks and service were top notch. All of the appetizers were great. Everyone loved their dinners, I especially loved my bone in fillet. Superb food and great service, allows them to be kind of expensive but worth it. I will continue to dine at this chain. I have probably been to 8 or 9 locations and always great.
