Friendly staff, good food what more could you ask for. They dry aged strip is good but, I have had better. I don't think they age them for very long as there is no strong flavor.

At last, a trip back to the CG....and not with a prebooked party as I was on my last trip/ review in December when I had the filet mignon....which is the best I have had..... For me, the defining judge of any steakhouse is the quality of their rib-eye steak and how it is prepared. The Capital has it down.....well marbled ...proper thickness....minimal amount of “added” seasoning....and grilled to perfection....medium rare! Heavenly! It’s certainly large enough for two at 24oz....and I would encourage the CG to mention it as such........... Now for the pie......I have traveled the front roads, middle roads and backroads of the Tejas and Okie land....in search of the best home baked coconut cream pie. Believe me when I say there are many good pies out there but also many more bad ones etc.....so many commercial pies that are passed of as “home baked” The Capital Grille...now has the top spot for a truly outstanding home baked coconut cream pie! ( hint they could toast the coconut on top a bit more...) The best I have had in ages....and many, many miles....of searching! If you are at the CH please save room for the pie! It is simply the best!

The food, the ambience, and the service at Capital Grille are impeccable. You won't be disappointed. Try the coconut cream pie for dessert. It is amazing.

A group of 7 of us ate here on Christmas Eve. Of course, we had reservations. Of course, it was packed. People were still walking in and begging for a seat. Our service was outstanding. The food was even better...absolutely, delicious! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the seafood was very fresh. The place is expensive, however worth every penny.

My husband and I visited this Capital Grille location on valentine's day and loved the entire experience! The atmosphere, level of service and food are ALL fantastic. Worth every penny. The staff are very well versed on the menu and make excellent suggestions for first timers. The lobster mac-and-cheese is a must. We'll be visiting again next time we're in Dallas. In the meantime, we'll continue to visit our local Capital Grille to get our seafood fix. :)

Three of us took a friend to the Capital Grille at the Crescent Court on Maple for a late lunch. I normally do not book a lunch so close to end of service time but we had no choice due to three different schedules-so a 2:15pm reservation it was. We were greeted as if it was 12:00-no rush no worries. Everything we ordered from the house cocktail to the spicy calamari appetizer to the trout special to the coconut cream pie-EVERYTHING we ordered and tasted was outstanding. Rare to write those words. We even had a no rush lunch which lasted for over 2 hours. Cannot thank the staff enough for letting us linger and visit as it made out get together even better. HIghly reccommend!

We have eaten here many times. Their steaks are really excellent. We really like the filet but all stakes are above average. Their seafood is also excellent. Their wine selection is above average. The service is way above average. This is great for a really great meal, special occasions and business meetings.

Please be very careful before you accept outdoor dining in the Crescent Court Capital Grill Dallas location. My husband and I ,along with about 50 other people ,were confronted with an angry mob of BLM protesters. Everyone was left on their own to seek safety. They did open a door to a construction room to allow people to escape. Meal ruined! DON’ GO......NOT SAFE

Living in New Orleans spoils you travelling abroad spoils you too the pride of unique, spectacular, and mouth watering food is literally on every corner. It may be a dive bar, a bistro, or a cafe. Party of 6, we had a 2 New York Strip, 3 Filets, Tender loin and African Lobster tails, Spinach Bacon salad, Shrimp cocktail, Calamari, Lobster bisque, a few desserts as well. The steak was good all of the food was good, but none of it was "OMG< this is unbelievable!! Sooooooo GOOOOOOOD". The service was very good imo very timely, genuine, and not pretentious at all. One person at our table said "This steak puts Ruth's Chris to shame!!" We all agreed "Yes, its good!!", but compared to the steak and lamb in Ireland we just had a few weeks back this is not as good. Some may think I'm crazy, but we went to Pappadeaux 2 weeks ago my first time (ambience sucks super loud) in regards to the food OVERALL my wife and I thought was better, more flavorful, and more diverse than Capital Grille! Good experience, great service, nice location, the food wasn't anything to gush over as they say.

Met friends and family for a late dinner. We're quickly seated by an attentive and courteous staff. Our party of eight started with the pan fried calamari, lobster and crab cakes and the Grand Plateau. The appetizers were excellent! The Grand Plateau consisted of lump crab, Maine lobster, shrimp cocktail and oysters on the half shell. All well prepared and fresh. Probably should have stopped right there. A table of eight and we learned we only ordered three different entrees; roasted chicken, orange glazed salmon and the dry aged NY strip au poivre with courvoisier cream. Sides included roast wild mushrooms, Sam's mashed potatoes and soy glazed roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon. While portions were 2-3 times what any normal person would eat the execution was not so impressive. The salmon was overlooked and dry. The orange glaze was extremely citrusy and over-powered the dish for me. My husband said the chicken was overlooked as well. The Brussels sprouts were nearly burned and the soy glazed saturated them making them soggy and way too sweet for me. There are too many restaurants who serve better food at a far lower price point than this. I wouldn't recommend it and we won't be back.

Incredible hospitality! Joseph and Julien were attentive, friendly, and professional. They learned that we were celebrating my birthday and delivered several surprises to make the evening extra special. I also have several food allergies, which they accommodated seamlessly and without any issues. I will definitely be back!

For some reason the Capital Grill in uptown is much better than the one at Legacy in Plano. The food is better! I personally love their dry aged beef, delicious

Absolutely amazing!!!! The food was exceptional but the service my boyfriend and I received from Daniel was phenomenal!!! We could not have asked for a better overall experience, by far one of the best restaurants not only in Dallas but one of the best restaurants I have been to across the entire country throughout my travels. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great evening, with the perfect dining experience, as long as you do not mind spending a little bit of money; I will pay for quality and great service and not think twice about it myself.

What a place!! We went here for my birthday, and there could not have been a better place to spend it!! Service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, the atmosphere was cozy-elegant! I was thrilled!! We chose an appetizer to share for the table (there were 3 of us) - the fried Calamari. It was lightly breaded and fried and just spicy enough with the cherry peppers!!, Two of us split a wedge salad - it was huge! They split it in the back so we each had our own plate. The Bleu Cheese dressing was the best I have ever had, and the "bacon" was actually pork belly - perfection!! We each got our own entrees - Bone In Ribeye, Surf & Turf, and Filet Oscar (which wasn't on the menu, but is evidently a staple because it wasn't a problem!) All three steaks were perfectly cooked, flavorful and juicy!! They brought me their Birthday Dessert, that we all shared - flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee cheesecake, with fresh fruits. Incredible!! I was stuffed!! With the Generous Pour, the wine kept coming!! What an evening!!

If there is a Capital Grill where we are traveling, we always go. They are always great food, service and drinks.

Okay, here’s a review following your specifications: Absolutely phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was perfect. The steak was cooked exactly as I requested, and the service was impeccable. A truly top-notch dining experience.

I’ve eaten here many times, plus the Plano branch of the same restaurant. It’s a fantastic atmosphere, from the pull up outside, the welcome, the service, the food it’s the whole luxurious and flavoursome package. The calamari and peppers is the best I’ve had and it’s a go too appetiser for me and my friends. Aged Kona steaks in coffee and brandy sauce with the most indulgent dauphinoise potato’s... you’re going to leave full, satisfied and glad that in the face of all the choices on offer you went to Capitol Grille! Say hi from me when you visit and have the calamari!

Dinner on a Monday and we loved this place. We were there late and it wasn't at all crowded. We had the thick bacon that was a bit too fatty for me, a caprese salad that was delicious and I had a filet and my friend had fish. Shared a creme brulee for dessert. We loved everything except the bacon. Our servers were excellent as were the drinks. Pricey but worth it.

Business dinner there last month and it was outstanding. The food is great, service was excellent and its just a nice place to go.

The food isn't special, but it is very good. The service is always good. It is a great place for tasting type meals.

We reserved a table for 7 for some friends visiting from Italy. The staff went above and beyond to make them feel at home. They even had a waiter that spoke Italian for us. The food is always great. Highly recommended.

Absolutely top shelf our server was just brilliant the food quality was top shelf nothing could be faulted we liked it that much we ate here the following night as well.. Top top job…❤️❤️❤️

The quality of the meat is not good for Dallas, although the service, interiors and wine selection are decent. If you're looking for the best steakhouse , then this is not the case.

This is one of the old few old school restaurants left in Dallas. Very quite, great service, and outstanding meal.

NFC Championship on in the bar at a great place to eat so where do you want to have dinner? The bar of course to watch the game. Fairly empty when we got there as it was early but by the end a nice crowd of people. Bartender was extremely attentive on both drinks and timing food. A perfectly cooked filet doesn't hurt either. Just a great way to finish up the day.

I am a fan of Capital Grille -- but my first visit to this location will be my only one. Sitting alone at the bar, I had to ask for a drink and dinner menu -- even though I told the bartender I'd like to have my meal there. Everything was slow and forced. Nothing was offered and had to be requested. Bartender taking my order didn't talk or smile -- other server acted as if guests there were radioactive. Steak was overcooked. Paid bill and left -- not one person offered thanks or "enjoy your evening." Lots of places in Dallas to get good steaks. No need to dine where the business isn't appreciated.

When ever I travel to a big city Capital Grille is always on my list. Never have I had a bad meal or experience. The quality and level of service is always top notch. Birthdays here are elegant and exquisite. Food is always extraordinary. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Enjoyed a delicious bread basket, lobster bisque, steak, shrimp, creme brulee. Knowledgeable wine steward with a great wine selection.Yummy Bohemian drink from the bar, attentive staff.

We ate here as part of a business meal and it was wonderful. The restaurant was quite busy but the experience was good. It helped to have a reservation. The food was great...enjoyed a very tender and well-prepared steak, creamed spinach, along with the fried calamari for an appetizer. The service was timely and good. Would eat here again.

Monday, March 7, 2022 Ate at the bar and enjoyed two delicious Stoli Dolis. The bartenders were professional, friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Oysters were delicious; steak cooked to the precise temperature I ordered; french fries were great. Capital Grille consistently offers great service and food. CHEERS

There isn't much more to say. Appetizers are very good and generous. Favorites are the calamari and burrata and tomatoes. The tuna entree is among the best anyone has had. Steaks are solid and cooked specifically to your liking. Truffle fries...yummy. And the service is very professional. This is our go-to for special occasions. Never disappointed and we continue to return.

The Capital Grill , Dallas Texas is a wonderful experience Best Steak and Sea Food. Good mixed drinks and Desert Wonderful Night. Services are also great. Please give them a try while in Dallas.

The Capital Grille has been around a long time. I have dined here dozens of times and the service and food are always excellent. I have literally never had a bad experience or food here.

Great business lunch. Good service, good environment to talk and be heard without screaming in a very busy restaurant. The Lobster roll was filled with tender lobster, not overdressed with mayo on a wonderful roll. The chips served with were good, but the lobster roll was plenty on its own. Again, good attentive service that enabled us to eat and get finished in a timely manner.

Couples can expect special service in this 5 star eating establishment. For over 20 years my husband and I have enjoyed celebrating special occasions such as our anniversary at the Capital Grille restaurant on Crescent Ct, Downtown Dallas, Texas. We have our favorite foods which include French onion soup, au gratin potatoes and a filet for me, and the fresh seafood chef's special for my husband. The atmosphere is where guests feel comfortable in dressed up dark jeans, casual, business or formal attire. Please call ahead and let them know you are coming and what you are celebrating and they will have a wonderful table set for you with a couple of nice surprises. Enjoy!

We were in a group of 30 following graduation at SMU.... Of course arrangements had been made.....far in advance....but was a bit disappointed when we had to wait @ 20mintues in a very cramped entrance/bar area... However once we were seated....the service, food and wine was great. I wanted to have a rib-eye to compare it with Knife, Berns in Tampa and Cattlemen’s in OKC ...but we had a fixed menu so I took the filet mignon It was great! I can say, as far as filet mignon’s go, it is the best I have every had. ....I will be back to try a rib-eye.....!

Great service provided by Douglas W. Our food was well prepared and served timely. Will continue to visit Capital Grille based off the consistency I have experienced for nearly 10 years.

I have eaten at the Capital Grille a times in Dallas. this was the worst ever. I had a reservation for 6 and confirmed the reservation the day before when they called to confirm. When We arrived they said reservation for 6 and I I stated yes. We were lead to a very small table and the people said sorry we thought there were only 5. they sat up another place. then proceeded to tell me this was a table for 8 people. there was no way 8 could have sat at this table and was very crowded with 6. I ordered two bottles of nice expensive wine. I tasted the wine and then the waiter opened the secont bottle and decanted it into the same before pouring the wine. Then he sat a half bottle of wine on the table and said, " it wont all fit, so here is the rest of the second bottle. Hopefully the second bottle was good or it would have ruined the first. I have never seen this before at any restaurant. He then put the decanted wine between two other tables next to the heads of the people at that table. We could not get he wine unless we disturbed the other people. He started taking our order and when he was finished he asked two people if they wanted anything to order. They responded that you already took our order. My steak was good with good flavor ( filet) do not order the ribeye steak, it tasted like salt and was tough. I'm not sure if they soaked it in salt to try to make it more tender. (it did not work) At the prices of the steak it should have been better. I was very disappointed in the service and quality of the meal. Other times I have been here it was good, so maybe it was a very off night for the chef and wait staff.

This may be one of our favorite date night restaurants in DFW. The ambiance is that dimly lit, quiet, elegant atmosphere. The food and service are phenomenal. The night we went we ran into Moe from Storage Wars Texas (one of my sons favorite shows). I was nervous asking for a photo but once we did his wife was so excited and took the photo for us. She was there celebrating her birthday and said we made her birthday dinner. I cannot recommend this place enough. Especially for a special occasion. Beautiful, classy, yet still Texas (I wore jeans and a blouse). Love it!

I really didn’t understand the fuss about this place. It was dark, dingy and so so noisy!! Food was ok - mega over priced. Service was good and friendly.

Love This place, great services, Professional all the way, I had the Rid eye last time there, it was primed and ready to be eaten. Gets busy after 6pm, Enjoy.

As a restaurant manager myself, I tend to be a little critical when dining at other restaurants. That being said, I treated some of my servers for dinner last night and the service, food and experience were amazing! Our server Catherine was friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to take care of us. She had great menu suggestions and after her presentation, we decided to leave it in her hands regarding what to order. Catherine did not disappoint!! Everything that she ordered for us was amazing and perfectly paired. We started out with the shellfish platter as an appetizer and for the main entrees, we ordered the delicious and tender Kobe steak, porterhouse, lamb chops and 2 succulent lobster tails accompanied by a wonderful bottle of Brown Gaps Crown Pinot Noir along with various family style side dishes rounded out our dinner. Would definitely recommend to all!! Thank you again Catherine, Chef and your team for taking such wonderful care of our group.

Had a 75 th bday private party April 2018. I cannot rave enough.. the best food, service, atmosphere and event planner.

Food was fantastic. Very large entree portions. Most steak servings are plenty for 2 to share, especially if you order appetizers and a couple of family style sides. Among the top restaurants in Dallas.

Great steakhouse with delicious choices. I had the burata and arugula salad and it was delicious !! Several people at the table had the lobster bisque and said it was delicious !! For my entree , I had the sliced filet and it was cooked perfectly! On the table we had some great sides... the Brussel sprouts were yummy, the lobster Mac and cheese was great as were the gratin potatos The swordfish and salmon dishes got rave reviews at our table too!

Fabuous meal from the wine to the dessert. You get what you pay for here. It is expensive but well worth the extra money if you are looking for a quality meal. The service is great and the selection is nice. Superb restaurant!

We recently utilized the Capital Grille bar for a business meeting. The staff was friendly and efficient. The facility was what it always is: simple elegance. I did not dine this time, but their food is historically excellent for my taste and fairly priced. Their drink selection is well thought and consistent with the atmosphere. I had a Woodford Double-Oaked in this warm and welcoming location. It's a go-to in uptown !!!

I have had dinner at Capitol grille several times. Never a disappointment. Food, service, facility atmosphere. A,ways great. The service is always incredible and I have never had a disappointing meal at the Capitol grille.

The food and atmosphere were good. We had several guest and had excellent service and the food was wonderful.

I have gone to the Capital Grille in Dallas for many years. It, hands down, beats all the competition big name steak houses in the nation. From appetizers to first courses, second courses, deserts and wine, there is no comparison. My favorite is the porcini rubbed ribeye. Their tuna entree is excellent for non-meat lovers. Try the mashed potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, asparagus with lemon or hollandaise sauce, and the wedge salad (big enough to share). The wine list is extensive and something for everyone's taste. Ambiance and service are impeccable. I always request Felipe who goes above and beyond to make your dining an excellent experience. I most recently had the pleasure of being waited on by Shay who was very engaging and professional. I am a fairly frequent customer going to Capital Grille for all special occasions during the year. I cant wait till the next visit.

This is my third Capital Grille that I have been in (Boston and Orlando prior to this one) and this restaurant in Dallas did not disappoint. This was another outstanding meal! The service was excellent. Our waiter was Denton, and he did a great job. From offering suggestions on wine, to our main courses, to the single malt scotch after dinner, he did an awesome job all the way through. The kitchen crew also delivered. Our meals were really, really good. The Capital Grille is not inexpensive. If you are looking for a "dining experience" as opposed to "going out to get something to eat", put the Capital Grille on your list! PS - the porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye was amazing!

the seafood tray was AWESOME for an appetizer for 2. However, really? You ran out of "small forks" and we had to get the lobster meat out of the claws with full sized forks? Little things like that kept me from the 5 star rating above. the simple salad of greens and heirloom tomatoes was sooo awesome and the roasted mushrooms were top noth

Fantastic experience. From appetizers all the way to dessert, all selections were terrific. Service was great. Attentive and personal. Enjoy!!

Good food and ambience were great, but completely over shadowed by parking ramp. Got ticket validated in restaurant. Machine ate ticket and had to backup cars behind me to get out of exit traffic. Finally, someone who said they worked there said he could let us out for $6. It was intimidating and scary. Won't go back!

Our first visit to the CG was several years ago on our anniversary. The server did a great job of helping us celebrate by placing confetti on our table, taking our picture and placing it in a folder, and bringing us a piece of flourless chocolate cake! We continue to frequent this beautiful restaurant for the extraordinary service and outstanding food. We love the Sam's mashed potatoes. Our steak last night was tender and delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was heavenly!

Having enjoyed a lovely dinner at Capital Grill in FTW this spring we were looking forward to dining here at the Dallas location and we stayed at the Crescent Court to be close. We were not disappointed! We began with the Tuna Tartar and it was terrific. Followed but the French onion soup, again absolutely lovely. As we are, like, so old and eat so little we shared the seared tenderloin with lobster tails. Perfect for two old-timers. A three or so ounce tenderloin each topped with a small lobster tail. Both cooked to perfection. The sauce was absolutely primo. The current Duckhorn Generous Pour is nuts. Do it. Now, before it goes away. The service, the food, the wine, the ambiance... all spectacular. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

I had a reservation for 8:15 on Friday 3/22. We ordered the porterhouse to share with some soups sides and drinks. As the waiter predicted we did love the lobster macaroni and cheese. Everything was great except for the steak which is the reason we went. I ordered the steak medium well and it was served over cooked in both our opinions. The steak was definitely well done because if it had been cooked anymore it would not have been edible. A friend of mine once told me that Chef's always under cook their steaks just in case the customer is not happy because they could always cook it a little bit more ...they do not want steaks to be sent back and thrown out and try as best as possible never to overcook. I guess this Chef did not subscribe to that theory. Well we were both very hungry and did not want to wait for a new new steak to be cooked again so we didn't complain. So overall I was pretty disappointed and it hurt worse when I walked around the area and saw Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Morton's Steakhouse. I was staying in the hotel Crescent Court so I figured why not try the restaurant in the hotel.

3 of us had dinner here Saturday, we were impressed with food, the service and the ambiance! The steak was so delicious, the lobster bisque was very tasty, my onion soup was excellent too. Side order potions were generous and very well cooked, wine list was huge and we were able to find very affordable wine to share a bottle among 3 of us! All in all , we enjoyed an excellent dinner experience here!

Went here on 2-15-2020 at 20:30 to celebrate Valentines Day due to having to work on the 14th. Reservation was honored and we were seated after about a :10 minute wait. Restaurant appeared to be at max capacity. We had asked for a Spanish speaking waiter and Julio filled the bill. Drink orders were promptly taken. and food orders shorty followed. A nice evening with no hiccups. This is certainly not a place to drink as our bill for two tots of Frogs Leap Merlot came to $40.00. Total price for 4 people came to $361.56 including 20% tip.

Room is typical dark steak house style Crab cocktail 6/10 no flavor Ceasar salad 6/10 bad croutons canned style Cesar. Cheese may have been cut 4hrs before service. Lettuce very boring and soggy Ny strip 8/10 very good beware medium rare is almost blue. Bread service 8/10 warm and good flavor Wine by the glass 7/10. Good but really expensive. Staff 10/10. I don't think the staff could do anything else to make sure you enjoy yourself. Alex did a great job as our waiter. I can't recommend because the food is very expensive and mostly misses.

After another stop at North Park Mall, we had reservations at Capital Grille – and they did not disappoint! Om: We’ve been to the one in Plano, and it is still on our list of five favorite steakhouses in the DFW area, so we made reservations at the one in Dallas – not only to have some food, but also a bit of a pre-celebration for Nom’s birthday!!! Happy birthday Nom! • Service – The waiter was fine, but seemed a bit surly most of the night. When we go to a high end steakhouse, a certain level of service is expected, including being pleasant and helpful throughout the night. It’s like be met the bare minimum of that, never around quite enough, and certainly not overly friendly. That aside, it’s great that management put a birthday card on the table and sprinkled it with confetti. It’s the only steakhouse that we’ve been to that put in something “extra” for these types of occasions. • Ambiance – Very much a traditional steakhouse, dimly lit with lots of dark wood around, very similar to the Plano location. I happen to enjoy the look and the feel that this gives off. Also a bit of holiday décor around, nice to see. • Food – Very consistent with the Plano location, and that’s a good thing! My filet was cooked evenly throughout, tender and juicy, very easy to cut. The star of the meal at Capital Grille continues to be their scrumptious macaroni & cheese, the BEST that we’ve ever had from any type of restaurant! It’s everything that you want in this – texture, pasta, right amount of cheese, it’s just the epitome of what we want in this dish! I also had the white cheddar potato soup which was great, and the side of truffle fries was also something I would order again. Even the bread at the beginning of the meal was better than most other places because they have a few different types. • Value – Pretty much what you would expect from a high end steakhouse. Dinner for two, no drinks, is going to cost you north of $100, so just know before you go! Overall, this Capital Grille is consistent with the Plano location, and that’s a good thing! Steak is one of the five best that I’ve had and their macaroni & cheese side is a favorite of ours. We would have no issues going back to this location! Nom: Capital Grill is in my top 5 steakhouses, now I know why they brag about being a steak house. I went off the reservation and ordered a chicken dish and let’s just say that if that had been my first trip I would not have been impressed at all. Let me rewind a bit. This location is absolutely beautiful and should not be missed if you are near downtown. Lovely. Our waiter however was not. Not lovely at all, he didn’t seem exactly annoyed by us, but I would say he was indifferent to our business at best. My handsome love had called ahead since it was so close to my birthday and the table was decorated very nicely and he made me feel very special! I decided that I would try the chicken this particular night and that was a bit of a mistake. The chicken was dry and flavorless, you know I can’t even remember what came with the chicken? Potatoes maybe? Yes not memorable. I had leftovers and the next day they were even more dry it seemed and I ate them cold. Ok, well they did redeem themselves with dessert, two types, a cheese cake and a chocolate mousse cake. You know what the best part of the whole night was? Being there with my handsome forever love!!!

We were hosting a corporate dinner for 20 people and called around to several Dallas area restaurants. Almost all wanted us to use a private room, with a limited preset menu and a food & beverage minimum. The Capital Grille took our group with no restrictions and did an AWESOME job. The food, service and ambience were outstanding! Oh, and the wine list is awesome, much better than the nearby Ocean Prime. Cheers!

We took a group of 6, and I must say, I am super pleased. From the excellent service at every turn, to the portions of food. WOW. Appies were perfect, we had so many, all were terrific, to the entrees, which were generous in portions. I had bone in rib eye. Perfect. My wife had swordfish, best! All our guests devoured their meals. The service level here is what others should emulate. (If they can) Not intrusive ever, very helpful and attentive. Our best dining experience in Dallas.

The Capital Grille at Crescent Court is our favorite Steakhouse. We celebrate all major family events there, and have never experienced less than great service. It is also a wonderful romantic spot as well. Not only great steaks but excellent seafood prepared and served. Servers are knowledgeable and helpful in pairing steaks and wine, and are efficient and personable without being intrusive. There have been times when service or food may be less than expected, but never fail to bring it to the attention of the server or manager. They will more than make it up to you. In this, we are always satisfied and remain loyal. This is an excellent steak and seafood restaurant.

The steaks were high quality and perfectly cooked. The porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye was superb. Also, a very good espresso/cappuccino/latte to follow the meal.

New Year’s Even dinner, and it was great. The place screams “fine dining” with its elegant decoration, it felt very cozy. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, everything cooked to perfection and with great presentation. The bar is located separate from the main dining area so you don't have that "bar noise". A reservation is recommended because even though the restaurant is big it does get packed. Valet parking available (no cost). Capital Grille in Costa Mesa, CA and now Dallas, TX, wonderful. If the review was helpful, please vote.

If you're alone or maybe two, I'll suggest sitting at the bar. Ari the bartender is the greatest conversationalist, right on with drink suggestions to accompany dinner and just a real nice guy. Watch out, you might become a regular. The place is on the expensive side but worth every penny. The NY strips are melt in your mouth. I prefer the aged only, no rubs or sauces. Also, the chef knows the difference between med and med rare.

Great Steaks, cooked just right and very tender,, wonderful crab and lobster cake appetizer, very good salads, sides and desserts, perfect for a special night out, Scott the manager made sure everything was special.

We alwats have dinner here as it one of our favourites. We each ordered something different and loved every bite. Some tips: opt for the sides of veggies- they showed the chef's skills better. Also- order something special not the plain ole filets. Friendly staff and great service everytime.

In Dallas for 3 days last week. Stayed at the Crescent Court. Had dinner at the Capital Grille. We were the guests of our hosts. What a wonderful restaurant. Great choices from wonderful steaks to luscious seafood. My husband and I enjoyed the rib in New York Strip. Thick and very flavorful. We also enjoyed the creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms as sides. For starters we had the spinach salad with a sweet ad sour bacon dressing. I had a dirty martini and my husband a chocolate martini. Both very delicious. The coconut cream pie is to die for. The portions are very ample.

Love going to the capital grille both here in Dallas as well as other locations across the country. Always very consistent steaks and not sure if "generous pour" is offered year round, but it's a very cost effective way to have several well known brand wines with your dinner. Check it out.

Best steak I’ve ever had! This restaurant located next to the Crescent hotel in Dallas, was phenomenal. The atmosphere was elegant, but not uncomfortable. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. We had an assortment of appetizers which included steak tartare, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail. I ordered bone in ribeye with a dry rub that was out of this world. So tender you could cut it with a fork. Cooked to perfection and the dry rub was incredible. The steak was huge. If not the best I’ve ever had it was a close second!!!

Had a nice business dinner. Steak was great along with drinks, truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. Great service. Used the valet parking...very convenient.

Capital Grille in the Crescent Hotel is the first CG in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area. We now have a CG in Plano and one in Ft. Worth. Both are fine restaurants but I enjoy the uptown location because the Crescent Hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels in the U.S. We dined here on Friday, Dec. 26th. Heather started with the field greens salad and I had the clam chowder. Both were very good. We then shared a half bottle of chardonnay and the cast iron skillet shrimp, olive oil, garlic, croutons, cherry tomatoes, and a touch of cream, and the beef tenderloin sliders with mushrooms, and truffle fries. It was a perfect Friday lunch. Service was superb!

KW and I met due to a chance meeting at a Capital Grill in the Boston area. After trying to eat at Old Warsaw across the street we decided to go to a place where we knew and can expect the standard to be well executed. As always the food and service did not disappoint. The bartender, even though nearing the end of his shift was as if he just started his day - a true pro in my view. The steaks are perfectly cooked as was the asparagus. The wine selection is always a great by the glass!!! You can't go wrong eating here.

Three of us were visiting Dallas for one day of business meetings, and I was really looking forward to Texmex, but my meeting colleagues from Dallas booked this place instead - so glad they did! The locals always know! I had the NY strip, which was just perfectly done, really a perfect steak. And both of my travel companions had excellent food as well. The service was first-rate, and the ambiance was understated elegance. Prices were fair. Really a first-rate experience, I would recommend it highly.

My husband & I decided to try this place during lunchtime for Restaurant Week and wow is all that we can say! We both ordered filets and they were cooked to perfection! We started with a wedge salad and the blue cheese dressing was to die for! Dessert for me was their flourless cappuccino choc cake and it was simply dreamy! Rich, creamy and full of choc-mocha yumminess! We will definitely return & their attention to detail and hospitality was spot-on!

We got to eat here twice while we were in Dallas. This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. I had the salmon two different ways, and both were wonderful. My husband had the filet and he said it was the best he had had. The creamed spinach is really good, too.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday while traveling on business so this was a nice treat. As one of our traditions, we always take our left overs and feed a homeless person. When our server found this out, he packaged up five extra hot side dishes, a completely new bread basket and to go flatware. They made our dinner a special time to celebrate and also went so far over to help us with a little impromptu community outreach.

Good food. The main recommendation is the meat. It was a Friday evening and there was good atmosphere.

We recently dined here after a play in Dallas. Service was very attentive and the food was very good. Portions were quite plentiful and we had food to take home. The cocktail and wine list was very mice. The bread basket and flavored butter was very good. All the soups (French Onion, clam chowder, and lobster bisque) were delicious. The shrimp cocktail consisted of several huge shrimp. The lobster & crab cake appetizer was very tasty and had a side or corn relish. The ribeye steak, tuna tartare, and scallops were all excellent entree choices. The warm chocolate cake and coconut pie were most enjoyable desserts. Our meal was very good - very expensive - but enjoyable. I am not certain that the cost of the meal is warranted, but we did enjoy it. This is a great restaurant for special occasions.

Great atmosphere and food. The salmon, tuna steaks, and mushrooms were fantastic. There are several gluten free options.

They have a private room for large parties. Ask to stay away from this room unless your in the room otherwise you will have to watch all their food go in and out of the room. The wait staff was outstanding. Quality of items was top notch. Drinks are perfect too. Bathrooms were clean and nice. The bar had many seats to stay and eat too. Restaurant was dimmed so bring your reading glasses. Valet parking was onsite. Parking was close by too.

I love their steaks and lobster bisque. The fresh bread is a great compliment. The service and attention to detail are superb.

This is a high-priced "expense account" restaurant that hits all the right notes. Service is on point, atmosphere is "clubby" and very attractive, food was worth the price. I had lobster bisque and salmon (perfectly cooked). Well worth $30 for a light lunch.

I went with a friend for dinner and everything about the restaurant I loved , amazing service and great food . I just loved it and had a great evening. A must go.

One can almost envision J. R. and Sue Ellen Ewing (of 70s TV Dallas fame) eating here. Very up scale, very swanky, very genteel. I'm not sure what I was doing there other than having been invited by a client. I had fillet mignon and it was excellent. I was also taken with the brussel sprouts -- with a lovely caramelized glaze -- and the mushrooms. (By the way, the sides, roughly $7.00 to $8.00 each, are enough to share with three or four people.) I was also very pleased with the caprese salad, particularly with the 15 year aged balsamic vinegar. Our waiter, Steve, was a total professional. He picked up on our names from our conversation with each other, knew the menu backwards and forwards, and was invisible at the right times and present exactly when he needed to be. It was a wonderful experience, but I'm glad I wasn't paying the bill. Entrees start at around $45 and go up from there. But I'm really glad I was invited and that I had the experience.

We celebrated 19 years of marriage with an excellent lunch at the Capital Grille in Dallas. Steven was a perfect provider as our waiter. His recommendations and read of our style was superb. My wife dined on a shrimp risotto salad and I had the swordfish with lump crab and mashed potatoes. The sauces accompanying the dish were superb. We finished with a sugar crusted cheesecake which to quote our server Steven, “it’s like cheesecake and creme brûlée had a baby” and it was just as delicious. The cocktails are especially creative and recommended. Thank you for a perfect afternoon meal Capital Grille; we will return!

We chose the Capital Grille to celebrate New Years Eve. Even though it is a steakhouse, there were plenty of options for the seafood eaters in our family. We were delighted with our server, Vilena, who managed to be very attentive on such a busy night. She and her assistant wait staff made the evening memorable for our family. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service fantastic.

We had not visited in quite some time and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! The steaks were perfection. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese side! This service was a bit slow. We kept having to try to flag down any serving to help with ordering and an additional sauce request.

And, I mean that as a complement (though excluding their TV screen in the bar - that's like everybody staring at their smartphone). Professional service steaks made to perfection where black and blue is a real and practiced concept. The wines are good the sides are enjoyable and in this location the old club style environment retains some of the old flair patina one should look for and impossible to find in their franchised locations across the country. Very expensive.

Slipped into the bar for a quick lunch. Bar area is real nice and good selection of items to choose from. We had the garlic shrimp appetizer. We split the lobster and crab sandwich. I’m dying to try the cheeseburger.

From the front desk to Steven, my favorite waitperson, to quality, perfectly prepared food, to desserts, this place is a consistent winner.

This place was great! I showed up without a reservation so I could catch a sunset and a good meal from the 27th floor. I was politely greeted and promptly seated next to a window. The bread board was amazing. I didn’t have a lot of money for food so I ordered a salad and a crab cake and both were very tasty and uniquely done. I’m definitely coming back here to split a tomahawk steak with my wife!

We recently dined at The Capital Grille and had a wonderful meal. Stevie, our waiter, was spot on with his recommendations. They have a world class wine list and the cocktails were very generous. We saved room for desert and we tried a few with the coconut creme pie being our favorite!

Being from out of State, I don't get to eat here often, but this is my second visit, and I was not disappointed at all. I had the filet, and cheesecake for dessert. Superb quality and service, and although I like my steak medium-well, it was not dry or tough; delicious flavor and fork-tender, with no need for additional sauce. Courteous and unobtrusive service with a smile. I will return!

We had a large party business lunch here and couldn’t have had a better experience. Service was outstanding. Every course was delicious - salad, beef tenderloin (others had salmon and chicken too), sides of creamy mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, and cheesecake and chocolate espresso cake. Not one dish was disappointing. The atmosphere was a little “clubby” but comfortable and refined. Will definitely visit again.

We planned a birthday dinner 2 weeks in advance. I called twice to alert them including the name of the honoree, the nearby hotel concierge called and I personally visited the restaurant the day before to confirm the celebration. When we arrived they were not aware that we were celebrating a birthday! The food is good but it should be because it is expensive. The service was attentive. The value was not there especially since the communication was so bad. When I spoke with the manager , she did send some comps. There are many other choices of high end restaurants in this exclusive area. Good luck if it is a special occasion.

My husband and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary here tonight and it was absolutely perfect! We walked up to the table and it was already decorated with little hearts, a red rose and a card saying "happy anniversary!" Awesome start to the night. Our server, Denton, was phenomenal. My husband and I had the calamari appetizer, lobster bisque soup and fields green salad. He had the gorgonzola and black truffle steak and I had the porcini rubbed balsamic steak. SO DELICIOUS! They took a picture of us and they printed out for us as well as an anniversary dessert. My husband and I live in the Arlington area but we will definitely be making another trip to dallas to dine at this location!

This was one of our best meals ever. Lobster Mac N Cheese, Seared Tuna, Fried Calamari with peppers, Seared tenderloin and lobster, it was all cooked to perfection. The wait staff was attentive and they have valet parking. Highly recommended.

Excellent! The entire staff is fabulous and the food is above and beyond. We cannot be more grateful for the attention to detail and willingness to accommodate special requests! Thank you.

Great surf and turf...lobster were large. The server was great. Only problem....3 identical plates were ordered and they got confused on meat temperature...we had to figure it out. However they were great at taking care of the special 4 person event.

A dinner was arranged for us by a business partner at this restaurant. It was impressive and exceptional ! The atmosphere was good. The food especially the steaks were fantastic. The dessert was something that you should not missed even after the heavy main course. Wine was good. The waitor was also very helpful and informative though I couldn't remember his name and misplaced his name card. Thank him.

Food is good. Ambiance is good. Wait staff is good.... but nothing to knock your socks off. We have eaten here probably 10 times through the years and every time I leave feeeling the same way. There is nothing special.... fine if you're in the area but if I had a choice, I'd skip it for many more lucious choices.

great steak house. seafood is also very good. the wine list is diverse. easy to get to there and the valet parking is nice. they even have wine lockers (waiting list) for the serious wine lover.

From the start we felt pushed like they wanted to turn our table. We were a party of 7 and 3 of our steaks were so over cooked we did not eat them. The scalloped potatoes were not very good either. The calamari was as amazing as always and the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. Going back to Bob’s for steak.

Been here many times for business lunches and cocktail hours. Same category as Perry's, Ruth's Chris, etc. The services is always spot on and the food is very good.

Best steak ever. Great service i went there to celebrate a birthday they were really interested in helping with everything for this occasion to be special for the birthday girl. The food was terrific the best steak ever. Really good. The prices are a little bit high but your eating at a 5star restaurant so its fair. Wine variety its hige they have tons of wines to choose from

Capital Grille is replete with excellent food, service and elegance, and located in the fashionable Uptown district of Dallas. Their food is consistently delicious, fresh and appetizing. I can't speak for all Capital Grilles--only Dallas and Denver--but both have the same high standards.

The food is decent but not really for the price you have to pay for it, there are plenty of other places you can go to IMO. The lamb chops are pretty decent but they are expensive

Absolutely stunning! Best service and food I have had in a while. Highly recommend the calamari and the coconut cream pie. Service was top notch

My boss and I enjoyed a late Easter meal while in town for a conference. The good was superb - you won't regret the Brussels sprouts - but the service was extraordinary! I give them all the stars possible.

We ate here for Thanksgiving dinner at noon. We chose to eat the traditional TG dinner with turkey, dressing, potatoes, vegetable and dessert. The restaurant was packed full. In spite of that the service was very good and the food was good considering the number of people being served that day. Our waiter was Felipe and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. He was very attentive in spite of being very busy. The restaurant manager checked on us which is always a nice touch. The traditional dinner was very reasonably priced.

Outstanding experience in setting up for the private event, the service that evening and the food was delicious. We hosted a group of approximately 40 people for cocktails and appetizers followed by dinner with a selection of 4 wines. The staff was really easy to work with. Trevarius - hope Iv spelled it correctly- was so gracious to work with and made sure the room was set up perfectly. Everyone raved about the food- no matter which entree they selected. Will definitely return and will host there again should the opportunity arise. Well done Uptown Capital Grille!

Because of positive experiences at The Capital Grille in Boston, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Phoenix, Chicago, Houston, Austin, New York, and District of Columbia, we made reservations at The Capital Grille at Crescent Court in Dallas. As usual, the ambiance was refined, the service impeccable, and the food delicious and beautifully presented. Because we were celebrating a birthday, the friendly wait staff went out of their way to make this a special occasion, with complimentary champagne and a beautifully presented dessert. You just can’t beat The Capital Grille, regardless of the location.

Here for a valentine dinner with 10 couples. The food was excellent and a good wine menu. Never seen tomahawk veal before so I had to try it and split with my wife. Cooked to perfection with great crust. I would recommend it to anyone. There were plenty of other offerings that our friends ordered and all looked great.

Great meet! A great restaurant with some awesome grilled meet. Good environment and really nice for a couple dinners. Recommend.

Capital Grille certainly is known for providing a consistent level of service and food, and Dallas delivered on that. Steaks cooked as ordered, and service for our table of 10 was very good. Great wine selections as well. Located very close to Crescent Court Hotel. No complaints here!

I went with my husband for a late anniversary celebration and we had a wonderful time! The team did a great job personalizing their interactions with us and even took a photo of us and gave it to us at the end of the meal with all of their signatures. Very sweet. The food was wonderful as always! My husband loves a very large steak and it was cooked to perfection. I'm not a fan of lobster normally, but even I absolutely loved the lobster mac n cheese. Everything was lovely from start to finish. Thank you!

Our waiter Denton was very personable and professional. We had the Lobster bisque, The Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Rib-eye and Seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails all of which were incredible. Great place for a quite elegant evening. Everyone went to great lengths to ensure my wife had a special happy birthday. Loved it!

We normally frequent another steakhouse located very close to The Capital Grill, but wanted to give it a try. As with all other area steakhouses, it is expensive, but not out of line. They have a very good wine list with plenty of choices under $80. The complimentary bread basket was excellent! We had a crab and a shrimp cocktail, mushrooms, lobster mac and cheese, filet with butter poached lobster tails and a strip steak au poivre with cognac sauce. Everything was delicious. Our server, Katherine, was wonderful. The manager even stopped by our table to welcome us as "first-timers." This will not be our last visit.

We have dined here before. It's great. Obviously we have gone to several locations in several cities. This one was unique. We stopped by for happy hour. Great selection of small meals and drinks at really great prices. Try the crunchy lobster, and the classic pot pie which is a smaller version at the bar side. The drinks were great. The waiter and staff were amazing! T.V's had the sports events going. Over all we were beyond satisfied. The entire staff is attentive and presume your needs well ahead of time. A+

We had a wonderful dinner on a Thursday night. We split a white wine with our app - shrimp in a cast iron skillet, delicious and certainly large enough to split. Our entrees were a 10 oz filet and a 14 oz NY strip au poive with cognac sauce, both cooked to a perfect medium rare, tender and tasty. We each had a glass of red wine with them. Our sides were sauted mushrooms and sauted spinach with garlic. Our dessert order, coconut cream pie and cheesecake, were ordered to-go and when we tasted them at home they were scrumptous. We ended up with enough leftovers for at least one and maybe two more meals. The ambience is like a dark English manor house with classic art. It can be noisy at times but not so much that you can't hold a conversation. Service, both at the bar and in the dining room, is friendly and efficient. Our server, Carley, is a gem. She took such good care of us. Complimentary valet service is provided. This restaurant is a good choice for a special occasion or for just when you want to treat yourself to a fine meal.

Just an awesome steakhouse! The food is outstanding and the service is topnotch!! I enjoyed it so much! I highly recommend it!

One of the best places we have eaten in Dallas. Sea Bass was really good! Service was amazing. Will return on our next visit.

It’s a very perfect place to join it in Dallas , it had a lot of grilled beef with very delicious way not like ordinary, you must visit it and enjoy the eat there .

The wait staff provided us with a steak option that was not on the menu. We decided to order that. Great steak, no doubt. But, the wait staff failed to indicate what the price was per ounce! It was $20/oz - so, for my wife's 5 ounce steak and my 8 ounce steak, we paid $260. If told, we would have chosen the filet for $45 per steak. I left a restaurant review in response to the email I receive from them. Based on the low review, they indicated (through the system) that they would contact me. No contact yet.

First of all let me preface this review by saying that for 20 years this has been my family's go to restaurant for special occasions. Then after my son moved downtown Dallas we go probably twice a month and its always been a great place to dine. Well my son a I went last Friday night to celebrate my birthday and it was, simply put, an awful evening. We always sit at the bar and as usual we were well taken care of by the bartender. We had two or three drinks and then ordered dinner. I ordered my steak medium rare and when it came out it was over-done, so I sent it back. It can happen that a steak gets over-done but that's when it really started because I then noticed we never got the salad we ordered. Oh well. Then my second steak came out and it was raw, yes raw. It was ice cold inside and so the chef was obviously mad and for spite, this is what he did. I sent it back and said I didn't want another. I don't know where Capital Grille's standards have gone but this chef if terrible and really needs to lose his job. We probably will not be back for awhile.

The food is great, the staff is great and the atmosphere is great!! The wine selection is very good, also.

Love sitting with my hubbie at the bar especially if there is a game on. An elegant way to watch the game while enjoying high quality wine and excellent food (steaks of course, but I prefer the fish). Service superb as well.

Quick service. Good food. Lobster bisque is pretty good. Walk from the Crescent Hotel. Not inexpensive.

Very nice atmosphere, very rustic and great food. Seafood plate. Have private rooms. Their steak and their lobster mac n cheese is the bomb.

We are fortunate to visit the Dallas and Fort Worth locations several times year. We stopped going to Del Frisco's (Ft. Worth) , our previous favorites, after some bad experiences with food and service quality on consecutive visits. The Capital Grille restaurants are pricey, but the food and service have been consistently excellent at the Dallas and Fort Worth locations over the past few years, and so worth the price when very high-quality dining is desired. On our last visit (Feb, 2024), the lamb and lobster were perfectly prepared and delicious, as were the lobster bisque and cold seafood appetizers. Service was great as well. We spent nearly $500 for food, drinks and tip for two diners, and it was well worth it. We would rate Ruth's Chris second place and then Riatta, but this is our go to for steaks, lobster, and lamb.

Other than our great waiter the food was terrible! The salad looked like it was days old. The waiter had recommended the Seabass it was in a sauce that was so bad I couldn't even eat it and fish was raw in the middle. Desserts were pretty good, but Overpriced for bad food. Not like it used to be Really went downhill. We won't be back.

This is first class all the way as you would expect. Service is impeccable and the food is always delicious. Went here for a meal while on a business trip. Sat at the bar which was fantastic and my bartender/server was great. Capital grille never disappoints.

Love this intimate, dark amazingly cool restaurant / bar. Awesome staff, wonderful service and the best truffle fries you have ever tasted. go for drink and plan to stay for dinner! Not cheap but you feel as if you got your money's worth. Upscale and fun place to people watch too.

This is my second time eating here and both times have been phenomenal. Food and service are outstanding. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Be willing to pay around $100-$150 a person.

The Capital Grille is a staple for us and we've enjoyed it in various cities we've lived in or traveled through. CG's Dallas location did not disappoint and is now one of our favorites. The bar is a must stop before dinner or you can enjoy your dinner there, too. The service at the bar and in the restaurant is always outstanding and the steaks and seafood always exceptional.

My family and I celebrated a birthday in the Capital Grille's private dining room in January 2017. The food was fantastic and the service by our waiter, Nathan, was absolutely perfect. Nathan was there when we needed him, full of useful suggestions, and made sure that everything went just as we would have expected and hoped. The whole experience from inquiring about and reserving the private room to the moment we left was outstanding.

Fried calamari before a tasty fillet mignon, all this drinking a very good red wine ,unfortunately I do not remember the name.

My wife’s 35th birthday was tonight - we’re on a holiday across America from Australia, and have no knowledge of cuisine in Dallas (other than BBQ). My only objectives tonight were a) find a good lamb meal, and b) have it be in a restaurant where she will be well looked after. Not only did this restaurant deliver in spades, we can both honestly say this was our best culinary experience to date. The food was perfect - my wife’s lamb was the best we’ve tasted, and we eat it often. My filet (Oscar) was a journey; as you progressed from the edge to the bone, the perfectly cooked meat got creamier and creamier, until it melted perfectly with the béarnaise and crab. Don’t be put off by ordering the mashed potato to accompany either dish; it is herbed, and will add a fantastic counterpoint to the respective meats. Relaxed and friendly staff, expert guidance through both the food and wine menus - with perfect recommendations - and an amazing response to my request that my wife be made to feel special on her birthday. As a family oriented lady spending her birthday away from her family, your words were really appreciated (as was the decor!) I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough to anyone, be it an occasion or a treat. If the prices make you take pause, I promise you that they will be considered well earned after your meal. Compliments to all involved at the Grille; and special thanks to Clint, who apart from his sound knowledge of the restaurant from top to bottom, was also an all-round great guy who made us feel exceptionally welcome. The best service we’ve ever had - thank you so much.

Nice environment. Excellent cocktails. The tartare is sufficient and as for the meat, it is difficult to have it cooked rare but excellent quality

We had originally made a reservation with Perrys but ended up coming here. I must say it was well worth it. Our waiter was so lovely and attentive, all our food came out at the same time and was so succulent. It has an old money feel to it, not as vibrant as Perrys but they do make you feel special. I would definitely eat there again.

Yes, it is a higher priced restaurant, but If you're wanting a fantastic meal experience and want to spend just a little more money, definitely try it. The steaks and meats are just out of this world, and they have a pretty extensive menu for non steak eaters and seafood lovers too. Great wines, Fantastic service, and the atmosphere is just elegant.

Wonderful dining experience. I've had steaks all over Texas and the world and the bone in filet is the best ever. Period.

We ate a lovely girls night dinner here. We each ordered something different and loved every bite. Some tips: skip the cheesy sides and opt for the veggies- they showed the chef's skills better. Also- order something special not the plain ole filet. THIS is where the best taste was. It is all great.

Great place to have steaks in Dallas. The steak is perfection and the service is impeccable. Had their black tie margarita drink which is superb. I also ordered a ribeye which was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and tender all the way through. It’s quite savory especially paired with red wine. The service is just exceptional. The server was very attentive and we couldn’t be more pleased. Quality food and exceptional service from the moment you walk in the door. Worth the dining experience.

I treated my husband to a special birthday dinner this year. I looked at several steakhouses and finally decided on the Capital Grille. It was perfect. They prepared the table ahead of time for his birthday. The service was impeccable. Not only was our waiter excellent, but both the manager and assistant manager stopped by the table to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. The food was amazing. We started the the lobster bisque which had huge chunks of lobster, then had spinach salad with warm bacon dressing (I actually like a bit more of the dressing on my salad). The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were delightful. I have to admit it was one of the best meals out I have had. We were completely surprised when a dessert plate came with Happy Birthday written on it and two small desserts. The creme brulee cheesecake is one of the best desserts I have ever had. We will be planning more of our special occasion dinners at the Capital Grille.

Celebrating both a birthday and anniversary. Room is first class, old traditional. Service, just short of flawless, kitchen...perfectly done traditional....way above when it comes to elevating a special event to a new and better level.

We enjoyed excellent dinner and received impeccable service. Cold seafood plate, lamb chops, wedge salad, and vegetables are must eat on the menu. Ice cream--their homemade--was the best ever and I know my ice cream. Recommend without hesitation!

We are Capital Grille fans, having been to a number of locations across the country, including two in NYC and Fort Worth. The Dallas location at the Crescent is our favorite by far-always consistent in quality of food and service. We had an anniversary dinner there this weekend and it didn't disappoint. Our table was in a quiet corner in the wine room; perfect for an anniversary. The drinks are always generous and stout. Claire was our server and was outstanding, polished yet friendly-we split an appetizer and salad and had the filet, cooked perfectly as always. She surprised us with a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream for our anniversary. It was a leisurely two hour meal before a performance at the Winspear. This location will never disappoint you.

Service is lasting a bit much but food was tasty and the burgers surprising. The hummer bisque was very good. Good place for business lunch

Our family of four dined at The Capital Grill while staying at the Hotel Crescent. Each of us enjoyed an excellent meal. What set our dinner apart from any other was the first-class service.

Today I made reservations for 9pm at Capital Grille - Dallas. I received a call this afternoon to confirm we were still coming at 9pm (standard procedure, no problem with that) but then the caller said “well our kitchen closes at 9pm, could you come sooner? We’ve made plans, the reservation was available at 9pm, you called to confirm and then you say come earlier. This restaurant’s experience is declining as newer restaurants are opening and they cant keep up.

I have dined at many capital grills and this one had excellent service and good food like all the others. A great GO TO spot for travelers from out of town.

The Capital Grille delivers a consistently excellent dining experience. Although known primarily for the steaks, The Capital Grille does offer several other fish, poultry and meat options. The dining room is inviting, intimately lit, with a gentleman's club environment; white table clothes, with proper cutlery and stemware. It's the warm, gracious perfection of the hostess noticing when you are seated that you have on dark clothes, and expertly changes the white linen napkin to a black linen napkin in one gentle motion. You will notice a lot of patrons ask for specific waitstaff as there are a lot of regular repeat patrons; and there is a reason. The staff is warm, professional and very personable trained to make sure each guest has an excellent experience. The steaks are among the best in town, in a town known for excellent steak houses. If you feel decadent, the Lobster Mac & Cheese is outstanding. You can always count on The Capital Grille Uptown for an excellent experience for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!

I was in Dallas for work, so I needed to grab a great dinner right by my hotel. I ate at the bar three nights. The food is just delicious, and the bartenders are friendly and efficient.

Excellent steaks, delicious sides and some of the best desserts ever created! The atmosphere is perfect for a special evening entertaining clients.

We had a great birthday dinner. Steak and lamb for meat eaters, fish for the pescatarians and yummy veggies for everyone. The sorbet was so creamy and delicious! 6 people with cocktails and wine came at a high price; but for special occasions the price and calories are worth it!

His quality American Restaurant that delivered on all fronts! Wine list had plenty of choice by the glass, menu was extensive and the flavour of the steak chosen was excellent! Pricing was up there but quality doesn’t come cheap! The service matched the standard of the Restaurant

I know as review it is subjective. I love the place. I am no longer able to eat steak in any other place than there. The decor is pretty old- fashioned but you can forget about it, easy when they start bringing you the food. The side dishes are okay, but the meat. The meat is out of this world, it is marinated and even the next day taste amazing. If you want to go to a restaurant and do it just because you want to try great food. This is your place, by the way the bread is also delicious

Have been here multiple times with both work and personal and it has always been great both atmosphere, food, and service. I enjoy the lunch specials while on work functions and they have also always done a great job with larger corporate groups for dinner. My wife and I also enjoy coming here by ourselves to enjoy a nice quick dinner. Warm and comfortable!

Had a great business dinner at the Dallas Capital Grille. As usual, excellent service. While I haven’t been at this particular location, I’ve been frequently to the Scottsdale location and the dinner in Dallas was delicious and consistent with my expectations.

I dined alone on a Saturday night. The greeting was cordial and pleasant and when I declined a table right by the entrance (Europeans have an aversion to being in the front), was graciously taken further back. Service was warm. I chose crab and lobster cakes followed by a pepper steak with a Courvoisier sauce. The former was excellent but the latter was, well an ordinary steak au poivre with a very little brandy sauce. My side order of spinach had far too much pepper but was replaced speedily. I scraped the surplus peppercorns off the steak and could have done with a lot more sauce. It should have come with the steak in a generous jug on the side. Maybe it would have if I had asked for it. I doubt it because there was a shortage of jugs. I had asked for my Glemorangie malt to be served without ice and with water on the side. The water came in a small, possibly aluminium, teapot with a lid. Ugh. What was lacking was pizzazz. If when I sat down I had been offered a glass of house Prosecco with some cassis - a very inexpensive type of Kir Royale - or a bowl of salted nuts to go with my choice of cocktail, that might have made a difference. Maybe some nice flowers. Instead, I was entertained by looking at the table opposite, a young couple apparently celebrating both their birthdays with their loving and beautifully behaved four children. So it was a good evening. But it would have been better with a glass of cheap wine and a couple of jugs.
Great business dinner location
Entertained a group of seven for a business dinner at The Captial Grille in Dallas. Very inviting atmosphere with a good bar. My only down comment is the lighting and esthetics of the bar are a touch cold and antiseptic. Whereas the staff and decor are warm and inviting throughout the rest of the restaurant. Good menu, great win list. Everything prepared to perfection. Exceptional valet service.
