Really great hamburger paired with Stone IPA and a glass of Pinot Grigio , expertly served by Delos. A quick afternoon lunch in a very elegant setting at surprisingly reasonable prices. Great experience.

We were visiting Seattle and wanted to spend time with friends at an upscale and somewhat quiet location. The Capital Grille was excellent! From the valet parking and onwards, everything about the place reflects class and service above and beyond. Our server, Amber, was fantastic. She was extremely attentive and she made the evening perfect. Our party ordered different items from throughout the menu and there was nothing that was not excellent. The French Onion soup was extraordinary. The ribeye was phenomenal. I will return the next time we come back to Seattle.

This is a very popular establishment so to get a table it's a good idea to book. However they do have bar stool seating at the bar where you can also eat and these are available on a walk in basis (more comfortable than you might think). The waiters are very attentive but are also pretty good at upselling! The food was delicious BUT extremely expensive. We didn't have starters tho my friend's salad came before our steaks. We didn't have dessert and we had 3 cocktails between us. Our meal came to over $240. Yes we had steak but we shared fries and asparagus (which was more than enough) so I do feel it was overpriced.

We dropped in for an early pre-show dinner without reservations. We were asked about our plans to follow and seated quickly. We ate a delightful combination of salads, seafood cocktails and crab-lobster cakes. Everything, including table service, was perfect. The solid chunks of fresh crab were amazing.

Soooooo many options for food. The place was great. Big servings. The staff were really friendly. Has such a great experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like we were the most important diners in the room. We were seated immediately. Our server, Amber, was outstanding. When I asked where the restroom was she led me there. She was very attentive and pleasant during our entire meal. There was an Italian gentleman that was also very attentive and personable (we didn’t get his name). Given that this was New Years Eve and that it was very busy, the staff and meal were outstanding. The crab cocktail was delicious with much more crab than we had anticipated. The wedge salad was excellent. The wagu and Gorgonzola steaks were to die for, cooked perfectly! We have never had a bad experience and this latest was probably the best we’ve had. Thank you for a memorable New Year’s Eve!!

Just me at this fabulous place with Matthew as my server. He was dressed to the place, professional, energetic and knowledgeable of the wine list and meals to offer immediate wonderful suggestions. The service was at the right pace to enjoy each course which I attribute to Matthew. I had a great martini and a wonderful half bottle of wine with oysters and an Oscar filet. Don’t look at the check, enjoy.

I took my wife here for dinner for her birthday because I wanted an upscale restaurant, which it was. It was a bit more pricey than I expected but the service and food quality made up for it. They made the evening more special by scattering glitter on the table, providing a birthday card, and a delicious birthday dessert. I highly recommend this place for a fancy night out.

Capital grille is favorite restaurant in Seattle. The food is delicious and they’re know for the steaks. We had the wagyu beef burger and the dry-age prime steak. These were excellent The service is exceptional. The overall atmosphere and location make it great place for formal and semi-formal occasions. You’ve got to make room for deserts. The molten chocolate cake is big enough to share. The creme bulee was awesome

Solid steak joint downtown. Room is dark and feels upscale. Service was excellent, drinks good and steaks were perfect. Price point is $50-75 for steak and potatoes. All else is ala carte. Only disappointment was calamari appetizer, it was ok, nothing special, just fried up and on a plate. Expected something more high end. Overall a good steak in a cool spot.

Ok, who gets a professional wine expert as a waiter? We did! Jon was amazing! He knew his wine, knew his steaks, knew his city and was awesome in between! The prawn cocktail was perfect. If you love them, try this new fave. My steak was perfect! We will be back!!

My husband and I went to dinner here for our Anniversary while on vacation in Seattle. I must say that the customer service here is fantastic. Our waitress gave us a sample of scallops to try as an appetizer and a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary. My husband and I usually are not a fan of cheese cake, but we both agreed that it was the best that we had ever had. Everyone was extremely friendly and kind, we will definitely be back.

Went for the Wagyu burger and wine special. The food was excellent and the service great. the atmosphere may be a little stuffy for some but it's classic and i enjoyed it. We will be back .

Dena is one of the most friendly and customer oriented waitresses the restaurant has. She is very attentive and looks after guests very well. The service she provides is excellent. She made me feel at home this morning!

Excellent meal in an emblematic US restaurant. Antonio's service was efficient and very friendly. Price consistent with the quality offered.

I went there on a Monday evening and was seated quickly, it surprisingly busy and I was seated by the middle of the restaurant. The ambiance is great and the location is a hop skip and a jump from my hotel. The steak was awesome and make sure you ask for the bread! It’s to die for.

The ambience of this classy steak house shouts of solid quality. It is situated in a central position in Seattle. Everyone, tourist or local, enjoys a pleasant welcome. We did not book ahead and were lucky to get a booth close to the busy kitchen pass which was interesting to observe. Excellent steak and efficient, friendly service from Rob (thanks for finding the English mustard!).

We have frequented Capital Grille in other cities. This one has the quality food and service once at the table. However prior to that the hostess kind of gave my wife a snobby look because we weren’t the typical business person that their other guests were. June 3, 11:35 am.

We were with another couple in Seattle and were looking for a great steakhouse. The Capital Grille was located within walking distance of our hotel. We arrived a bit ahead of our reservation time but we were seated promptly. Servers were informative and helpful and friendly. Plan to make an evening out of dining as there were long breaks between bread, cocktails and main course. Not inattentive but just slower than I expect or enjoy. We split a salad and main course as we had snacked earlier and were not super hungry. Items were brought to the table split which was great! Steak was ordered medium and it came to the table with very little pink. Overall, good meal with great atmosphere and good service.

The service at this restaurant is outstanding. I dined here as part of a large group, and we were given a semi-private dining room. We had a limited-option menu but there were still excellent dishes to choose from. The atmosphere was upscale and refined with an attractive decor. I enjoyed the Filet Mignon steak, which was very good. I highly recommend the Capitol Grille in Seattle.

Service and choice of dishes Very tasteful cuisine Wine recommendations The cozy and not ostentatious setting A restaurant not to be missed in Seattle

The ribeye was excellent. We were a large party and we were served at the same time with perfectly cooked food

We went for a birthday dinner. We were seated at a table near the kitchen which was a bit loud for the quiet dinner we were hoping for. We asked to be moved and the hosts were very accommodating. After a short wait, they moved us to a very nice quiet table. The food was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We were very well taken care of. Will definitely be back

Party of seven-too many for a decent conversation in a loud steakhouse. We had a round table and you couldn’t even hear the server if he was across from you 😢. Steak was tasty.

Very nice restaurant for special occasions. For our anniversary they put rose pedals on the table, a nice card and a special desert. Service and steaks were great.

It is so nice to know when you dine at the Capital Grille you will have great food and service no matter where you go in the U.S. The Seattle location is located in the heart of the city and had an excellent staff. I had the Scallops services with asparagus It was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant for business dinners.

I went to this restaurant with my co-workers to have lunch, and were greeted by a very friendly manager who then escorted us to our table. Everyone else beside the manager was also very friendly, and greeted us when they saw us. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu As far as the main food we came here for is concerned, the NY strip steaks were excellent; they were perfectly seasoned and cooked to the requested level of doneness. I also enjoyed calamari for appetizer. My co-workers and I were very happy with our meal, and I would love to keep coming back

Nice place Excellent service although we did feel a little rushed towards the end. Steaks were fantastic and superbly cooked Good wine list Desserts ok £187 got us 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 2 bottles of water, 1 grappa Waiter was a good chap

Great meal waiter was knowledgeable about the menu directing us through specials for the night and kept the drinks flowing

I had a delicious meal at the Capital Grille restaurant with colleagues. The waiter was an absolute legend and recommended the fillet steak with lobster tails that was cooked perfectly and accompanied with an excellent Malbec. My colleague had the tomahawk steak that looked delicious. Cocktails were ridiculously good here as well. No question one of the best restaurants in the area!

Great service and food. I went with a bunch of colleagues, and there was too much gristle in one of the filet mignons, and they replaced it right away no questions asked. Also had some decent vegetarian options!

My and my wife had a lovely dinner with 12 friends and it was a special treat. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. It´s bit expensive but well worth it.

Our friends recommended and it did not disappoint. The porcini rubbed rib eye was amazing, server Jon Filey was excellent . A little dark for those of a certain age to read the menu. Old school; at it’s best

My daughter had gone to a Captial Grille in Pittsburgh and wanted to try this one in Seattle based on reviews. We were not disappointed. Our server Amber was wonderful. We were seated closer to the kitchen than my daughter would have liked, but we found it quieter than the main dining area. My daughter ordered an excellent cabernet to start our evening. The bread basket was wonderful (I ate way too much of the bread). We shared an heirloom tomato and burrata salad, which was split for us by the kitchen. My daughter had the filet mignon and I had the sliced filet mignon with onions and mushrooms. As sides we chose the mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. We were too full for dessert but wanted coffee after dinner. Amber brought us a small sample plate of dessert (she said she knew we said we were full but wanted us to taste the chocolate cake. Wonderful! We would definitely go back.

We wanted a nice meal for our last evening at our 3 week long holiday,we`re so happy we ended up with this restaurant! We had tuna tartar for starter, then swordfish for main and dessert was chocolate cake and apple pastry. We had a nice bottle of white wine for the food, and had a drink for the dessert. Our waiter was very nice and professional. We loved the whole experience :D

This is a chain restaurant, you can probably find one near you. I made the mistake of eating here when visiting Seattle last weekend. Overpriced, pretentious, mediocre food. I wish I had eaten at a more authentic restaurant. Service was terribly slow too.

It is a restaurant that I have been going for years in several cities in the United States, and I have always done very well, this time the Ribeye was with a lot of hides, they spent cooking for a lot, the only good thing was the Service that is spectacular and very professional

As always, Capital Grille did not disappoint. From the pleasantries, to the ambience, to my knowledgeable Server Christopher Vagn Clarke, I am beyond satisfied. Thank you Chris for being so intentional, and attentive about wine and food selections. It made my experience worth a return trip.

We come here for our anniversary every year. It is very romantic. The rib eye steaks are perfection. Be sure to try the oysters too. Exceptional wine list. Friendly but unobtrusive wait staff. Highly recommend this place especially for a romantic dinner evening.

Excellent evening. Previously enjoyed Capital Grille in Austin so knew this would be great. Jessica and Nico took care of us. Manager Steve Smith stopped by. As did a nice man who had left New Orleans after Katrina and been in the service industry for 30 years. The evening was so sweet. Rose petals on table. Happy anniversary card which Jessica signed for us with the date. Choose champagne and a cocktail along with tenderloin with lobster with spouse choosing ribeye. We overindulged with several side dishes. The lobster bisque was heavenly. The steaks were cooked to medium rare perfection. The lobster was tender. All the sides were fabulous. The dessert at the end was Lovely treat. We were so full but dived right in. Even got a take home box. As for the ambiance. It was old school classic charm and represented Seattle and the love of hunting and seafood. Football was on in the bar which was good distance away from us but something my hubby could see. All the staff were friendly and courteous. I loved the dark paneling, rich wood feel and care being given to various details. I should have checked out the bar more. We were a tad early because of Uber drop off but the staff were un phased. I truly had a nice sweet evening with my hubby which I had been looking forward to for several weeks. Thank you.

Very good typical steakhouse restaurant. Traditional atmosphere and decor. Refined cuisine. Friendly staff. Reservation required.

I like darker restaurants so the atmosphere here suited my tastes. My son and I enjoyed celebrating his 21st birthday here. We both had signature cocktails, calamari & steak tartare for appetizers and then our main courses of filet and rib eye with truffle fries. Everything was great but unfortunately we were barely able to finish our appetizers so we took our steaks home to enjoy the next day. Excellent experience but as others had mentioned a bit pricey. How does it compare to other steak houses in the area? I would choose The Met or El Gaucho but this was definitely a great experience.

Antonio my server was great. Very friendly, restaurant elegant and food outstanding. I had the Filet Mignon and Antonio included mashed potatoes on the house. A very great meal at a great restaurant. Highly recommend.

Excellent dinner. Steak and other dishes were delicious, service excellent, and ambiance perfect. Really enjoyable experience.

We booked this through open table when another reservation fell through and I'm glad we did. Capital Grille is just what I've come to expect in so many other cities. CG-Seattle did not disappoint, as the service was very engaging and the food was just fantastic.

Me and my partner went to The Capitol Grille for Valentines day for fifth wedding anniversary and from the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant we felt very special. They sat us at our table which had a special card signed by their staff and had rose pedals on the table. Our server was amazing. She knew her wines and food and made great recommendations. I had the Bone in rib eye cooked too perfection and my partner had the seared tenderloin with lobster tail. Both amazing and the food was excellent. After dinner they brought us a special dessert for our anniversary compliments of the restaurant. That was amazing as well. Unfortunately my amex declined and I went out to get cash but we were gonna be late for our plane so we ran for the airport for our anniversary vacation to Hawaii. My apologies goes out to the poor server who felt stiffed and the restaurant who probably felt that way as well. I will more then compensate for the inconvenience upon our arrival as my amex was frauded so im waiting for the replacement card. Arrangements have been made. But overall an amazing restaurant and experience.

Sat at the bar and the service was exemplary as usual. Drinks were just right and porcini rubbed rib eye on point!

Fabulous spot in Seattle and walking distance from the Westin. Definitely recommend the calamari, tuna tartar, and the fillet steak

Great Service and maybe too much service...When a waiter hands you his business card..but he WAS awesome. Be prepared to face a steep bill. I had a cocktail plus a glass of wine (off the cheaper menu), sea scallops and with tip I paid $100.00 plus $10 valet parking. I was surprised how busy they were at these prices but there must be lots of expense account people out there. Very convenient location if you are going to any event at Benaroya Hall. I will go back but not often and next time I will try the bar menu which looks a little cheaper. The scallops with asparagus and a puree..were perfection!

Visiting a capital grille is a must on any trip. The service and food are always perfect. It is nice to know there is a favorite here in seattle

Our server was amazing; great knowledge of the menu and gluten-free options. The staff was kind and very friendly to our 9 and 12 year olds. We enjoyed mouthwatering steaks and drinks, and topped it all off with creme brûlée.

Wife’s Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful with perfectly sized cuts. Tenderloin was a perfect medium as ordered. Burger likewise a perfect medium and quite flavorful. Top notch service and fair prices.

This is a great restaurant for a special evening out or if you are just looking to have a great meal. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is delicious. Great lounge area too if you are just stopping in for a cocktail before heading elsewhere. This was our second visit in our four day visit to Seattle. Sadly no pics from our dinner the prior evening but the citrus glazed salmon was cooked to perfection and was just so good. My husband had a filet and also was delicious and cooked perfectly. The crab cocktail is AMAZING and great value for $20! Loved it so much we came back the next evening for another and a martini. The hand stuffed blue cheese olives are a must! Crepe Brûlée was creamy and lovely. The Capital Grille is now a new must stop for us when in Seattle.

The food here is fantastic, well thought out menu, really nice atmosphere, enjoyed selecting wine off the wine list. Service was great, will return!

Just across the road from the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, the Capital Grille exceeded our expectations. It was our final evening in Seattle and we wanted somewhere special and local to our hotel. The ambience and atmosphere on a Friday evening was great, it was busy and the lights were dim and this added to the experience. We decided to sit in one of the booths and this was very comfortable and a little more private than the round tables at the front of the restaurant. We were delighted by the service and our waiter offered, he gave us useful insights into the menu and wine list. I recommend the beef tenderloin and my Husband had the rib eye steak with the bone in. Both were cooked to perfection and were so tasty and moist we didn’t require an additional sauce. The main course came with a generous portion of creamed spinach or green beans plus a scrumptious baked potato. We are used to UK portion sizes and in Seattle the portion sizes are way bigger than at home. I’d say, no need to order extra side dishes unless you are extra hungry. We absolutely fell in love with the local Columbia wine. The bill was high, however we didn’t mind as the experience and food were excellent. Capital Grille was a perfect end to our time in Seattle.

It’s hard to find restaurants that accommodate a table for 8 on a Friday night when you decide to host dinner Friday morning. But The Capital Grille saved the day. We got a table for 730pm. We all started with various appetizers and salads. I opted for the 6 piece oysters. They were absolutely delicious. For my main course I ordered the lamb chops and I got 4 pieces cooked to perfection with a side of sautéed green beans. My lamb was cooked medium well just the way I liked it. I finished off with creme brûlée for dessert and that too was delicious. The other people in my party ordered onion soup, Caesars salad, shrimp appetizers and steaks. Everyone were impressed with their orders. The restaurant had very good lighting and it was easy to carry a conversation. This restaurant was a big hit for my group. I highly recommend this place.

Had dinner at the Capital Grill and we were not disappointed. We had dinner in Phoenix at the Capital Grill and decided to do the same in Seattle. The meals were varied between the beef choices and chicken dishes. All were excellent. Service was superb. Wine list was varied and very good. The restaurant was full but the noise level was better (lower) than expected. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. We will return.

Great for a client appreciation dinner. The ambiance, service, and food all contributed to a sophisticated and memorable experience. My clients were visibly impressed and satisfied. This restaurant is great for cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships. I wouldn't hesitate to bring future clients here. One of my clients, however, felt the vegetarian menu was limited, so we will be dining somewhere else.

My wife and I have been going to Capital Grille for many years and we are never disappointed. Great ambience, service and food. We are never disappointed.

The lobster mac and cheese is delicious! French onion soup is very good. Was given a large assortment of breads and butter with my to go order.

We were a three generation family group and everyone came away pleased. When we arrived the restaurant was already quite busy, and noisy, but we were placed in a smaller room off the main area, so we could enjoy conversation. Every person in the group commented that their food was perfectly prepared and served. We were particularly impressed that for each course all the plates arrived and were served simultaneously. I had a succulent veal chop, my husband, who was the guest of honour chose the sliced beef filet, several people had steaks of one kind or another, and everyone enjoyed the meal. The service was attentive and unobtrusive. Thank you, Capital Grille!

My husband and I ate at the Capital Grill last Saturday night after missing our flight and spending the night at the Fairmont Olympic The food was excellent as well as our waiter The restaurant doesn't have a blender but our waiter asked the bartender to make me a Pina Colada by crushing ice It was an absolutely great drink and I really appreciated his effort in getting my drink made. We both had Filets clam chowder and dessert and our bill was just over $200 Expensive but great and they are very busy so make a reservation

We were seated promptly for our reservation with drinks in hand in minutes. I had the smallest steak on the menu and it was slightly over cooked but still delicious. French onion soup is delicious and the crock could be a full meal. My husband had the lamb and it was a huge portion. The cook on each rack was very different which was a bit odd. crab was outstanding. Brussel sprouts were very good along with the creme brûlée. Highly recommend!

The meal was incredibly good. We had the lobster mac n cheese, the 10 oz filet mignon & the garlic mashed potatoes. The steaks were perfectly cooked & the lobster mac & cheese was SO GOOD. Great atmosphere & the service was spot on. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Seattle.

I took my daughter and her boyfriend here for dinner. What can I say? It's The Capital Grille. They have perfected the art of fine dining. Is it inexpensive? No, not by a long shot, so it's not a place you'll go every week. But, for any type of special occasion, it's simply unsurpassed. The food is prepared perfectly and the staff, from servers to busboys to hostesses, define professionalism. If there's a finer dining experience in Seattle, I haven't heard of it.

Excellent attention, super good food, everything impeccable highly recommended, meats very well cooked to the point ordered

When I visit Seattle, I always dine at the Capital Grille. Often it’s alone, but this time I was able to share the incredible experience with dear friends. The tuna steak, porcini steak and lamb chops were outstanding, as was our server, Jon! The cheesecake and crème brûlée and port were a grand finish to the Devine culinary experience and memories were made!

This was my second time to Seattle and the last time I was here I ate at some fabulous restaurants but didn't try The Capital Grille. I went to Purple which is across the street. I decided to reserve The Capital Grille this time. They did not disappoint. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and from the moment we walked in the service was exceptional. They sat us at our table and to our surprise the table was decorated with some confetti and a birthday card waiting. They brought us complimentary champagne that was really good. Our waiter was very attentive and always made sure we were ok. He did well with recommending wine and entrees. For appetizers we go the crab cakes and truffle fries. For dinner entrees I got the salmon and my boyfriend got the filet mignon. Everything was amazing and delicious. At the end we received a complimentary birthday desert which was a tiramisu cheesecake and flourless chocolate espresso cake. To die for!! We will definitely be back in the future!!

Randomly cancelled a reservation we made a month in advance for a family celebration in less then 48 hours notice and with no explanation.

Great waitress and hostess. Just enough attention. Lobster bisque was a special at lunch, but should be on the everyday menu. Lobster salad was also good, but next time I would ask for something other than an entire bed of arugula. My hubby had the ribeye sandwich. The generous portion of steak make the sandwich just too big with the roll. The meat was great so he just pulled it out and used a fork and knife. You absolutely must have the cheesecake. It had a perfectly flamed brûlée topping, delicious graham crust, and was the lightest cheesecake you will ever taste. It came with a generous serving of fresh berries in a very tasty raspberry sauce. Also, my Old Fashioned was perfectly made. The restaurant itself has a lovely wooden decor and is spotless. Can't wait to return.

This is the third time I have hosted a small (10-12 people) dinner meeting in one of their private dining rooms. All three have been excellent experiences. I love the round table set up and the opportunity to have group discussions where everyone can speak and hear without shouting. I don't use A/V as I am allergic to PowerPoint, so can't comment about that. And btw: The service is wonderful and the food is great. Highly recommend for your next business dinner.

Great restaurant serving stunning food. Get there early and have a great cocktail at the bar and join the many interesting conversations. The menu is fabulous and bursting with great steaks that are all cooked to perfection. I had crab cocktail to start...delicious, followed by a fabulous New York Strip accompanied by amazing Brussels sprouts! The service is impeccable! We had a Birthday in the group and a lovely desert arrived....very thoughtful and classy. Make sure you book a table and don’t miss Steak Heaven!

Their attention to detail is just great. They decorated the table for my sister's birthday and wrote a card. It was really sweet. They also made a personalized dessert. We ordered the crab cakes, a ceasar salad, filet mignon, new york steak with Kona seasoning and shallot sauce, sea bass and the salmon. Everything was amazing and would reorder with the exception of the salmon. This a perfect place to go for a special occasion. Only of the only places tp get a steak that I feel is actually worth the splurge.

My wife and I arrived in seattle and through trip advisor picked this place for dinnner. The setting was very nice, a fine dining style. Which confused me as i assumed it was a grille steak house style place. Our waiter was very good, recommendations for food and drinks where on point. Food was good, my wife got a steak and i got the salmon. Salmon was tasty, nice crisp skin with good seasoning, Was very nice. If i was to say anything it would be that it was borderline dry. Poss 2 minutes over cooked. Guess that depends on the individual though. My wife enjoyed her steak. Overall experience was nice and pleasant. Just a touch on the upper end for price i feel and not sure the food alone justifys that. Food portion sizes where a good size so you where not left feeling hungry or done over by any means.

First time here, but have been in a number of others across the US. What I like about Capital Grilles, is the consistency from city to city. Whilst its not cheap, you always get a good meal, served with charm and grace. Seattle is just the same.

We've ordered take-out for Mother's Day and Father's Day and are eagerly awaiting our next excuse to celebrate with Capital Grille. For starters, the food was absolutely delicious, both meals. Also to say it was plentiful is to understate it. Both meals were available in service for 2 or 4. We got Mother's Day for 2 and had our son over to dine on our deck with us, as well as a meal for the 2 of us (so it fed 5). For Father's Day, we ordered for 4 - the bone-in rib eye, mashed potatoes, blue cheese dressed salad, asparagus, rolls, cheese cake and we added the lobster mac and cheese (mmm). Yes it is expensive. But, it served 3 of us on night one (our son included, on our deck), and we invited our neighbors (on our deck, social distanced, and they are careful like us. First time we've had non-family at our house since our stay-at-home started.) for night 2, feeding 3 (I only made new rolls). Day 4, my husband and I had more of the beef, and on day 5, I made a meat pie which finished it off and was extraordinary. The food is outstanding. It comes partially cooked but completely prepared, with all the spices on already or in little containers easy to put on. So, it takes a little time to heat up (You get directions) and the house fills with the smells. Honestly, while I'm a good cook, I'd say these are some of the best meals we've had during our "Stay at home" time. And truly, best of all, we felt like we were celebrating with a special dinner, and elevated from our current routine. Thank you Capital Grille Seattle!!!

First food stop in Seattle. The food was good. I had the Haddock and Losbster Mac n Cheese. Spouse had the aged steak. I guess I expected the food to be good especially for the price, but our server was the star. Thanks T’Shovie you really out shined the food.

We had a 6:30pm reservation on Thanksgiving that we had made a month ahead of time. The restaurant even confirmed it several days before Thanksgiving. We arrived on time but my first inkling of trouble was finding the restaurant overflowing with standing patrons waiting for a table. The restaurant was packed and had all the earmarks of a super-spreader event. It was obvious that the restaurant had overbooked the tables and had arranged seating with no thought to social distancing. When I checked in the hostess asked us for our vaccination cards but totally ignored me and mine when I showed it to her, then asked me to show it again, without apology. Then we were directed to stand by "the lamp" again without apology. 10 minutes later it was obvious we were looking at another 20 minutes before seating. Still no apology and just the statement that we could be "sat" soon. At that point we realized that we were not going to have an enjoyable dining experience. We left and actually had a quiet and memorable dinner back at the Fairmont bar.

It was surprisingly hard to find a place that serves a variety of steaks along with seafood on our visit to downtown Seattle. Ended up here. Over $200 for 3 cocktails, no wine, Brussels sprouts, roasted beet and goat cheese salad, the Gorgonzola crusted NY Strip and a halibut special. These were all good as was service, but really not worth the cost. Oh, and a coconut cream pie which was little more than whipped cream on a chewy flat crust sprinkled with toasted coconut flakes that did not leave a memorable impression.

Sooo glad that they are open for lunch again. My husband and I were in town for the Mariners opening day games and stopped in for lunch. My husband ordered the Cobb salad with steak. I ordered the lobster salad. Both meals and servings were excellent. I highly recommend the Capital Grill. We have never had a bad meal or bad experience!

Absolutely fantastic, still cannot believe that the company that owns this also owns Olive Garden. Waaaaay exceeded my expectations. Joel R. was our server and was perfect.

If you are looking for an extraordinary experience (and happen to be celebrating a birthday), look no further than the Capital Grille Seattle. Our evening will go down as one of my top five birthday dinner experiences (and I'm now 63!). First, there was a phone call to confirm details...Then a warm welcome as we were led to a cozy booth sprinkled with tiny stars. But the evening really took off when Maddie Osborn arrived at the table. Maddie has a graciousness that immediately charmed us! She was able to interject her flawless and professional service with not only humor but also great knowledge of the menu. We pretty much followed all her recommendations ( Crab Cocktail, Wedge Salad, Bone-In New York Steak, Brussel Sprouts and Roasted Mushrooms). Everything was flavorful and delicious! When it came time for dessert, Maddie send out a couple glasses of bubbles to go with our Chocolate Cake and Cheesecake (beatify presented on a large platter. I will truly remember this evening always. Congratulations to Managing Partner Josh Westcott for creating an environment that inspires the best in everyone. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary meal at The Capital Grille. Our waiter, Rod, was exceptional and all staff were gracious and helpful. A card, table scatter, champagne, and dessert were all provided as part of our celebration. Food and wine were excellent. I have a severe food allergy and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Expensive but well worth it.

It is not typical Seattle, like the Metropolitan Grill, looks like all CG. But service and food is great. Gerat steak, great potatoes, I love the peppercorn style they can prepare your steak. I liked also the wine list with some good Washington wines by the glass. But I miss the spinach salat and in winter the Brussels sprout salad.

My wife, daughter and I were in Seattle for a family get together. There were 8 of us having dinner. Our server Matthew was great, one of the things I especially liked was waiting for all of us to finish a course before clearing. The steaks, sides, desserts and wine were all great, and go here for a memorable meal!

We had a great meal here on our last night in Seattle, food and service spot on. Absolutely worth a visit.

Hubby and I went into the bar, Carl was great! Wonderful charm. We have enjoyed dinner in the past, but tonight we were just passing through for a drink. Can't wait to return

The meal was very good. Our service was just okay. Arrived just a few minutes early, but were not seated right away although there were many empty tables. Valet parking saw our car parked right outside the restaurant right where we left it for $10....oh well. If you like steak, this is a good choice, but our server did not have the personality that you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber.

Great food, and a Seattle staple forever. A bit on the pricey side, but that will provide you with consistently great food and excellent service in the heart of downtown.

Long time resident of the area and eaten at all steakhouses in area locally owned and franchise some now no longer in business. This one is impressive.Made reservations for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Greeted at check in with " Welcome and Happy Anniversary " Our server Joel was excellent and personal. The food was amazing from the Lobster Crab Cakes to the Lamb cutlets and Sliced Serloin all cooked to perfection. The evening topped off with a specially prepared desert with champagne. We think we have now found our new spot to celebrate those special moments. We will be back!

Exceptional location for family and friends. Yummy hamburgers and fries. Easy to find. Exceptional customer service.

The reception is great and very attentive. When I was seated, the server was quick to provide menu and get my orders. The food was well prepared and delicious.

The restaurant is part of a larger chain, but does a nice job of creating local restaurant feel. Comfortable like a Chicago style steak house atmosphere and very good food. Both steak and seafood options are all done right and service it 4-5 star. Highly recommend for a business lunch or a nice evening dinner.

The food was fresh, delicious and well prepared. The cheesecake for dessert was absolutely the best ever tasted. The service was impeccable. Our waiter knew the menu and all the ingredients. His recommendations were awesome. The atmosphere of The Capital Grille,1301 4th Avenue in Seattle WA was super if dining or simply having a drink at the well stocked bar.

To start we had oysters, they were from Vancouver and small, that’s the kind you want cause they are sweeter. The steak and lamb was yummy, done perfectly. The sauce that came with the lamb really brought out the flavor of the meat. If you like cream spinach you’ll want to try this side dish as well. Our waiter Rod was friendly and was very attentive.

This is our first visit to Seattle, and we have tried to book the very best restaurants. The Capital Grille is the first restaurant we visited, and their Filet Mignon with some sort of butter on it just didn’t taste nice. My wife’s seabass was also very disappointing and didn’t taste of anything. The best part of the dinner was the bread and the Whispring Angel. We have visited very many cities in the USA over the years and are rarely disappointed. The service was good. They also have an excellent manager in Steve Smith. Only other tables seem to be enjoying their dinner. We chose steak with a butter and Seabas with a miso sauce recommended by our server. If I returned, I would order a steak plain. I think we were just unlucky.

The food and service are amazing. Great place to celebrate a special occasion or to entertain a good client. Try the Dungeness Crab cocktail.....outstanding! Eferen, our waiter, was fantastic.

The food is great. The place is very clean and everything is well-done I will definitely come back next visit

Everything is amazing about this restaurant! The food is delicious. The service is attentive. Order the French 75 drink it's the best one I've had in the states. Perfection. We eat here once a year when traveling thru Seattle. I've never been disappointed!

We selected this restaurant based on the menu and we were not disappointed. This restaurant is allergy friendly and our server was able to check on questions asked by the allergic person in the party. We loved the selection and the fact that it was a gluten free place so there was no chance of cross contamination. The food, by the way, was excellent. We enjoyed the fish and chips, though it was a very generous portion so we ended up splitting it. The desserts were heavenly. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Just three of us went for a quick dinner, sat at the bar. Crab cakes, crab cocktail and salmon were ordered. All were fabulous, fresh seafood in Seattle, coming from the midwest we probably appreciate it more than those used to having that freshness. Even though we were at the bar, we were well taken care of.

Excellent service. Clam chowder reminded me of Boston. Steak was perfect medium rare and well aged. Will do it again next time I'm passing through Seatle

Our experience was stellar! We took our newly moved in UDUB student here for a congratulatory dinner. The steak and lobster was cooked to perfection, the lobster mac and cheese was amazing and the calamari was delicious. Couples, business or families (with non picky eaters) would enjoy The Capital Grille. It is pricy, but you get excellent table service, chefs who know what they’re doing and an upscale atmosphere that was comfortable and inviting.

I’ve never paid so much on a dinner for 2 in my entire life, but absolutely no regrets at all. Service was superb, with a variety of great food choices and a wide selection of wine that one cannot resist. French onion soup was really tasty, along with the main course of filet and a butterflied lobster tail. The restaurant was full of life and good laughs, people enjoying themselves. It’s been a plan for quite a while to visit, and I loved every moment of it and left very satisfied. Ultimately a Seattle must, go and you’ll see that this high-end restaurant is second to no other restaurant in town.

The food is fantastic! Bursting with flavor throughout. Lunch before shopping and had a hard time selecting as everything sounded great!

If you look up 'impeccable' in the dictionary there should be a photo and description of The Capital Grille in Seattle. It truly is "faultless". From the greeting to the dessert there was nothing to improve. My dry aged steak was cooked to perfection, and my partners lobster bisque was creamy heaven. Finishing off our meal with Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake with fresh raspberries combined rich and fresh - delicious. It was amusing to identify Seattle luminaries with the decor of over-sized portraits. Usually I have suggestions on how to improve a restaurant but everything was beyond criticism. Highly recommended.

Wow what a fantastic restaurant! We dined here twice on our trip to Seattle as the first experience was so good that we had to return. The decor is excellent, the service first class and the food out of this world. Definitely a brilliant place to head to for fine food in Seattle . Do book in advance .

Overall it was a great meal and the service was good. Caesar Salad 3/5 - pretty disappointing for this type of restaurant Asparagus 5/5 - great lemon taste Filet Mignon 5/5 - what you would expect from a restaurant like this

We ended up here on our recommendation. What an experience....., everything was exquisite. The service and meals are at the top level. When we get back to Seattle, we'll definitely come again.

We recently had a great lunch at Capital Grill. The price fix lunch includes soup or salad (field greens salad one of the best ever) and choice of entree. My wife had the cream of mushroom soup, salad for me and then we split the filet sliders (cooked to perfection). Did I mention they make a fantastic Perfect Manhattan? We have dined at Capital Grill's in New York, Washington D.C.and Miami. Seattle goes right to the top.

A beautiful restaurant with ambiance to spare. We were seated promptly, the service was impeccable, the food was perfectly cooked and delicious! It was a gorgeous experience from the moment we stepped inside to the last sip of coffee. A varied menu with lots of options, friendly informed staff and great sourced products. We will definitely be back!

I wish I could transport this restaurant to Florida. It was one of the Best Capital Grills we have ever been to. The food and service were beyond amazing. If I could it would be rated more than 5 Stars Great evening thank you

Lovely restaurant and the most succulent and tasty steak I have ever had. The lighting is a bit dim but that’s part of the design.

We were looking for dinner on a Thursday night before seeing Mama Mia. Picked this one based on location. Glad we made a reservation online driving in as we were seated quickly in spite of lots of walk-ins waiting at the bar. The waiter was clearly none too thrilled when we split an entree (not wanting to return leftovers to the car.) After 20 minutes of envying everyone else’s bread basket I ordered a drink and that did the trick; he asked if we’d like bread while waiting. The steak was excellent, creamed spinach very bland. He brought us lobster Mac n cheese, which we did not order, but we did ask about it earlier so probably an honest mistake. (It was good, but we did end up with leftovers to check at the theatre.) Hubby, who is tall, noticed a thick layer of dust on the high shelf next to our booth. On the whole, a good, if pricey, Seattle dinner.

This is a restaurant you go to when you have a special occasion or want to treat yourself to an incredible meal. Our waiter was wonderful and made the experience that much better. We were celebrating my friends divorce being finalized and they rolled out the red carpet for us. The salmon was divine along with their salad! We splurged on a wonderful bottle of wine and enjoyed. The scene was vibrant and celebratory in the restaurant. It’s my second time dining here -before it was lunch. The dinner scene was definitely hopping. It was great fun and with the expense.

We love to go to the Grille before going to the symphony as it is only one block away. The ambience is very classy and the food is excellent. Everything we had there was really great, their bone on tenderloin is fantastic when they have it available. It would be great to have the menu change a bit more often, the apps selection could be better. They have the wine list and drinks on an iPad, which I am not a big fan of. A traditional list on paper is better. Service is always great and they time the meal perfectly for the time we have to leave. I can really recommend the Grille for any occasion. We went there for my daughter's birthday last time and we had such a good time!

This is one of those chains that strive to stay consistently good in each restaurant. The service was superb. We felt welcomed and not rushed. Steaks were cooked to perfection and delicious. You can never go wrong with the Capital Grille.

The service was extraordinary, the setting is fine and nothing more. Cooking is not the best I've ever tasted. I was recommended and confirmed what I already knew by comments from my friends and colleagues at Chaine du Rottisseirs. Pretty regular food, falling into mediocrity and I hope this comment will take it on the bright side because I will never make a comment that could harm any establishment. My comments when they are not to regulate upwards is because actually and very objectively I opine in the best of the lides so that in those areas of opportunity that open, they take them to improve as possible or enormous desirable for diners. We ordered squid and they weren't well, very oily and then we ordered Chilean sea bass and quite regular and a little bit below regular. Too bad those facilities leave the main thing that falls into the mediocre. Hopefully, and I mean that, they will strive to improve the kitchen to make it a place of reference. I will return to see and verify what is written here or if we put it in a u. Excellent restaurant which is where it should be. Otherwise, the quality of the staff, care, service and treatment are exceptional. Hopefully they take it for what it is: a 100% constructive criticism

I had never heard of this upscale chain before - as someone else made the reservations. I was pleasantly surprised - good food, generous portions, diverse menu, full bar, and reasonable wine list. Service not too intrusive and atmosphere was not pretentious-trying too hard. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. Oddly it closes earlier than I would have expeced (10pm I think), but maybe that is just what they do in the us ...

We’re pretty jaded when it comes to fine dining in Seattle and more places have disappointed than pleased us. Capital Grille was the exception. For a dual Thanksgiving Dinner/Birthday Celebration for our finicky 23 year old they blew us all away. First the pre-dining experience was exceptional. We called to make sure they carried hard cider, about the only celebratory drink our son enjoys and they did not. However, unlike our horrible experience last year encountering the same problem at Ruth Chris in Seattle (which told us it was impossible for them to provide and illegal for us to bring in) Capital Grille asked the kind of ciders he most enjoyed and promised to supply one. Three of us ordered the spectacular Thanksgiving dinner and our birthday boy ordered the Ribeye. He said it was fantastic. The service was off the charts. The table featured a personal birthday card and message to our son, glitter decor and several staff came by to wish him a Happy Birthday. Shortly after we arrived, they delivered his favorite cider to the table, and one more later on. A beautiful dessert sampler of three small treats adorned a plate with a lit candle and a Happy Birthday message. This is now on our list of best places to fine dine in Seattle. Bravo!

I really like a nice swanky restaurant with delicious food - but you have to feel comfortable dressed up or down to enjoy it. The Capital Grille really fits the bill. We were a bit dressed up having just seen the matinee of Mamma Mia at the 5th Avenue Theater (Lots of fun!) but next to us was another theater goer in a t-shirt and tiara, a mother and her daughters sat in the other side and entering patrons were in nice jeans and winter jackets. The greeting was warm and the waitstaff was super attentive. An electronic drink menu was offered with a wide wine selection and cocktails so how about a couple of Capitol Cosmos? Then we started with a Crab cocktail and two salads but you could have had the daily special of a lobster bisque as well. Hungry we tried entrees of Ribeye -which was sooo tender, Salmon with citrus and almonds as well as a tasty Chicken dish. The menu was wide ranging, side were available and it was all perfectly cooked. Drinks kept flowing and sodas were quickly refilled. Out of over a dozen choices we finished with two deserts of Berries and vanilla cream and a Creme Brûlée. The prices are a little higher for a swanky restaurant but the wonderful food, attentive staff and overall feeling of comfort was more than well worth it. If you are looking for a classy, comfortable dining experience in the heart of Seattle you must try the Capital Grille.

Every year my husband will take me out for a nice dinner for my Birthday and Anniversary. So for our 27th wedding anniversary we had dinner at Capital Grille. From valet parking, to the hostess, to our waiter Drew it was an all around excellent experience. They put a little heart shaped confetti on the table and a hand written note signed by staff. They gave us a complimentary dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. I was already so full from the fantastic Filet Mignon, Creamed Corn and Sauté Spinach but it was a courteous gesture and by the way DELICIOUS. So what do I love: Staff is on top of things, attentive and have a way of making you feel valued as a guest in this fine dining establishment. The special touches like the hand written note and dessert. We have been to a number of high end steak houses and restaurants and no one does this. This is why we keep coming back, they appreciate our business and make us feel special when we're celebrating an occasion with them and even when we dine there and we're not celebrating. The entire staff presents well very professional. They are knowledgeable, the staff is well experienced in their trade. They check in with you to ensure everything is okay including the hostess. The food is fantastic! The creamed corn was a hit with us. Prosecco was perfect. What I don't love: Nothing. Every bit of my experience each and every time is amazing, Capital Grille never disappoints. Please don't change, we love you just the way you are!

Good food and great selection of wine. The place was elegant but not stuffy. Staff was attentive and provided great recommendations. Great steaks. A bit pricey but good for a special occasion.

Once a year we travel to Seattle to enjoy a weekend with our best friends, we met at the Olympic Hotel for drinks and music. We decide to take a walk and look for somewhere to eat, I spotted the Capital Grille and we went in they said 20 minute wait so we went to the bar before we could get our drink they came and seated us in the best table in the house ( 5min). The worlds best waitress (Amber) arrived at our table to give us the best service and dinner we have ever had in Seattle really all the staff were wonderful and went way over the top to make our night one to remember. During our dinner Amber asked if we were celebrating anything and as would have it we all have March Birthdays and we always celebrate them on that weekend. When dinner was over Amber and the staff showed up at of table with a plate with treats, candles and Happy Birthday written in Chocolate. We will always remember this night ! Thank you Amber.

You can't go wrong with this brand in any city. Never disappoints. Great for business dinners or if you need to unwind at the bar after a long travel day.

Read the reviews, it's how we stumbled across this gem. Rib eye was bang on, juicy and tender. The sides were perfect and plentiful for 2 people to share.

I friend and I had lunch while working in Seattle. From the moment to enter the restaurant to the minute you step out, the service is absolutely amazing! Extremely professional staff, very knowledgeable also. We had the New York and the Ribeye sandwich, both couldn't have been prepared better, wonderful! Massive wine list and a full bar. I will be back for sure!

Hubby and I met our Florida friends here for dinner. A lovely, cozy restaurant. We chose our cocktails from a menu that included many and varied offerings.Hubby chose a Moscow Mule, his new favorite, and pronounced it very good. I chose the Cosmopolitan, and it had a lovely "kick". Hubby ordered the Wedge Salad, and I had the Caesar Salad, and had requested "light on the dressing", and it was perfect! Hubby ordered the Halibut, served with vegetables. He said the portion was rather small for the price. I ordered the Filet, rare, of course, and it was delicious! My filet came with a baked potato, which was really small compared to what other restaurants offer. I wanted it "fully dressed", and it came with a side of sour cream and bacon bits. I would have preferred butter but didn't ask, and that was my fault. However the bacon bits were really gross. Instead of crispy bits there were chunks that were barely cooked. Yuck! For dessert we ordered and shared the Coconut Cream Pie.The crust was incredible! Our server was Lauren - very attentive. We will be back!

We chose to go here on our last night of our holiday for our Wedding Anniversary as a treat, and we were not dissapointed. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown to a seat at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready as we were early. Beautiful relaxed bar area and the whole restaurant was very nice. The waiter went through the menu with us and brought out water and bread to our table while we waited for our drinks. We shared a starter that was delicious and we chose steak which was amazing and one of the best I have ever had. Too full really for desert but we could not resist as they all looked so tempting again to share one, and we were not disappointed. There was a slight problem with drinks not arriving which was an oversight and the waiter was very appologetic giving us the drinks on the house!! An overall lovely experience and great end to our holiday and celebrating our Wedding Anniversary.

We were looking for a place to eat before going to the theater. My guest had heard of the Capital Grill and heard it was a good place to eat. It was fantastic from start to finish. The waitstaff was exceptional, the food was absolutely wonderful too. We didn’t have a reservation but didn’t have to wait too long before a table opened up. Don’t miss it!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The cocktails, wine, and appetizers were great! I was a bit disappointed in the entree (steak). It was undercooked for my taste and what I asked for but I didn't want them to make a whole new one. Also, the ambiance is definitely lacking. Crowded, loud and mostly tables as opposed to booths. In the middle of the city which is convenient, but no view.

Our Waiter Matthew was fabulous. His attention to details really made our meal memorable; from keeping time for us to make the 8 PM show, promptly bringing each course, comping my Wife with an exquisite chocolate torte and the tastiest cheesecake ever for her birthday, and handing us his personal business card so we could request him as our waiter again. Thank you, Matthew!

My daughter and I visited this restaurant while in Seattle on vacation. The standard of the meal was exceptional and was only enhanced by the amazing service we were given by Rod, who ensured we were looked after during our meal. I would recommend the Lobster and Dungness Crab Cakes as a starter....they were delicious. Everything we ate was amazing. Thanks Rod!

We popped across the street from our hotel to this restaurant in a haze of jet-lag and enjoyed the quality of food and service. It is on the expensive end of the scale but the food and service are exemplary. We had a slight problem with what we were served and the waiting staff and Manager could not have been more helpful and apologetic.

5 of us went to the Capital Grill for my birthday. We are all from Alaska so I researched restaurants and decides to give this a try. So glad I did! From the minute we got there we were treated with exceptional service. From a birthday card and confetti at our table to a complimentary appetizer and glass of champagne for everyone, and a dessert for me!. Food was outstanding. I had the tenderloin with poached lobster tails. Absolutely incredible. This time was a night I will remember. Worth every penny and we will be back again!

Aram served us and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Fantastic fresh food, nice decor and simply outstanding service. It was the first dinner of our 6 week wedding / honeymoon and they added those extra touches that make you feel special. Thanks again

Having been to many locations in this chain including the 1st in New England, I knew what to expect regarding price and experience. Decided to have a nice last night dinner with family (party of 5) and anticipated another excellent experience. Sadly it started off poorly at bar with a $100 bill for 4 martinis. One was made with too much vermouth so we sent it back for a replacement but we’re still charged. Then, when we arrived at our table (very nice by the window) we were greeted by a waiter who although professional, seemed more interested in driving up our bill than providing quality service. Once he realized my sister was only getting a salad and my wife a few appetizers, we never saw him again. Random staff and the manager filled in. The remaining three of us had great food (steak & chicken), wine and conversation. Final bill around $600. So in the end, review is mixed as I expect much more from a place with this pedigree and price point.

I was here for a dinner with business associates. My first time there. Nice ambience, waitstaff very professional. I felt the only downside of this place are the table we sat at for 4 people there was not very much room to put our drinks, plates, appetizers, bread basket, butter, etc. I got their signature aged porcini-dusted rib eye steak, which was perfectly cooked (medium-rare for me, but they'll cook it however you like your steaks). It was just delicious and very ample size steak. Got two more meals out of it and smiled with every bite of it, remembering what a great meal I had. I got mine with side of green beans, which were good. We got prosciouto wrapped asparagus and fried calamari appetizers - both were delicious. We all had wine (you can get by the glass or buy a bottle). So not a cheap dinner - I'm guessing it costs about $100 per person by the time we left. So this is a treat to come here and especially since I was being treated to dinner. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Oh, and by the way - there IS a parking structure right around the other side of the building. I didn't see it and was parked about 6 blocks away... next time I'll know!

First time at this restaurant and the food was exceptional. The service was great ... thanks Andy! The location in downtown Seattle was good, right across the street from our hotel, otherwise parking may be an issue.

Staff are great, and don't hold back making good recommendations. The prices are at the upper end but the quality is there. Wine list is extensive, both by the glass and bottle.

Having had a late and large lunch, I really wasn't ready for dinner at The Capital Grille, so I stopped just for a drink and small plate. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the banter with the bartender. This will be a full stop on my next visit to Seattle.

Feels like a typical American steakhouse, with the dark interior, the muffled sounds, the decor. The staff has a good routine, well trained, very nice. The sommelier shows up with an iPad to discuss wines. While totally a technology freak, I think for a place like this it would be more classy to have a good old printed on paper wine list.... The selection of meats is ok, not tremendous, but there were some interesting seasonal variations (at least the menu was still on paper!). Ordered my cut "medium", but have to say it was well on the dry side. May be a one time blip in the kitchen. Should come back for a second try. Prices are rather high, but probably in line with local market conditions.

We 4 went there to celebrate our birthdays (for 3 of us on near-by dates). The server was very helpful starting with the wine list and continuing through to dessert. I had the NY steak med-rare and it was perfect! My wife had the chicken which was served with a sauce and it too was very good. I am glad she shared a bit with me. This restaurant is a bit pricey but i am happy to pay more to get a very good dining experience. This was it! We will go back to Capital Grill.

We had a large group and had a very nice meal. The appetizers are good. Everyone enjoyed their steak. The service was very good.

Capital Grille is always consistent, always fantastic. We had a great wedge salad, then ahi tuna and a filet mignon, finally creme brûlée- all fantastic, all worth getting again.

I have an outstanding steak here. I also enjoyed the waiter who, though quite talkative, was extremely knowledgable and friendly.

A couple’s dinner at The Capital Grille was truly memorable. They were greeted by an elegant ambiance that set the tone for a romantic evening. Both opted for the dry-aged steaks, and they were blown away by the flavor and tenderness. The couple enjoyed pairing their meals with a fine wine from an extensive list, which enhanced the experience. The attentive service made them feel special, allowing them to relax and savor every bite. Overall, their night at The Capital Grille was a delightful culinary experience, perfect for celebrating their relationship!

We dined here earlier this evening. The food was incredible. Our waiter Delos was very knowledgeable and professional and the customer service was excellent. I had the porcini rubbed Ribeye which was out of this world. The portion was huge and was cooked to perfection as were the accompaniments. A little pricey but worth every penny in my opinion. What a delicious meal!

My brother wanted a memorable dining experience for his birthday, so he invited the entire family and some close friends to celebrate at The Capital Grille. He couldn't have picked a better spot, as the entire experience from beginning to end, the food, service, and atmosphere, were top-notch in every regard. We had booked a private room in back, with 15 or so of us seated around a large table, and throughout the evening we were well-taken care of by our servers and other employees. The food I ordered was superb, one of the best meals I've ever eaten in a restaurant. I ordered my favorite cut of beef, the New York Strip, and I've never had it better prepared than at the Capital Grille. To accompany it I had the Brussels sprouts with lardons, garlic mashed potatoes, and to finish things up an apple crostada. Everything was so good, there were no misses in service, and the talk and sharing around the table made for a very memorable evening.

Very extensive young wine list. The steaks were done perfectly. One of the best I have every had. Old world, dark wood, quiet.

Our server Ruben was very attentive, not overbearing. Food came out exactly as ordered. My mashed potatoes were not hot and the manager, Destiny, brought us a plethora of desserts complimentary for the flub up!! Super nice staff and atmosphere very nice!!

Don't bother. Like I said, just another boring and pretentious steakhouse. A so-so wine program with the usual Wine Spectator over-blown red wines but rarely anything of interest for the informed wine fan. The food is slightly above average if not quite expensive. But if you're a business person on a fat expense account and don't have time to figure out where the cool places are to eat in Seattle (and there plenty) then you'll be OK here

The service was excellent. We got there a bit early and they were able to seat us rather than having to sit in the bar. The food was good and they have a great wine selection.

It had been about a year since my last visit to the Capital Grille and had always been a good experience. This was the same, great food selections, relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Our lunch selection was the lobster salad with citrus vinaigrette, absolutely perfect. Large pieces of fresh lobster on a bed of mixed greens with avocado, orange slices, a mix of cherry tomatoes and the wonderful dressing. Only 570 calories and very filling, an excellent preparation. Capital Grille has maintained their quality since they opened in Seattle. A traditional steak and seafood restaurant for a very good meal and experience. Local secret: ask for the lobster bisque with sherry. It’s not on the menu so only long time customers know to order it.

Very upscale dining experience, The front and back of the house staff was professional and friendly. Our server was super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The menu items are expensive and a la carte, but my wife and I ended up splitting both the main course and salad, and there was so much of each that you'd never know we split it. We had the steak au poivre and it was easily the best steak au poivre I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked to medium rare, and it was a big NY Strip. Half was easily enough. I also ordered a french onion soup, and it was truly awesome. Perfectly melted cheese and awesome broth. If you're looking for that perfect special occasion dinner in downtown Seattle, this is the place.

We were celebrating my wife birthday ! Our main waitress Omar was very professional and polite. Appetizers, steak was cook to perfection with spinach and potatoes sides. They offer dessert as complementary that include chocolate mouse and cheesecake with fresh fruits. We order an excellent Cabernet. This restaurant is adécuate for celebrations, meetings or families with children. Photo of our celebration included! Enjoy this magnificent restaurant and until the next one!

We had the best dinner - fabulous. The must get dishes: lobster & Dungeness crab cakes, lobster bisque, sliced filet, miso butter seabass, and the cheesecake. Service was excellent (thanks Antonio). They have validated $5 parking. Restaurant less than 2 blocks from the 5th Ave Theater.

My wife and I went for a celebratory dinner and were not disappointed. The service was warm, friendly and on point. The steak and the Ahi were great, but the Parmesan dressing on the salad was incredible. We went back two days later for some salad, lite bites, and cocktails. Drew at the bar was great. He was the most friendly and personable bartender we encountered in our multiple bar visits during our vacation. Great job Capital Grille!

We were staying at Fairmount and went across the street to watch Thursday night football the day we arrived. The bar staff was very professional and we enjoyed watching Cleveland win its first game with other sympathetic fans. Came Back for dinner Friday Dungeness crab cocktail and filet mignon cooked to perfection and service impeccable. Been to Capitol Grille in DC for lunch so expected the same great experience and not disappointed.

This is a fantastic steak and seafood restaurant walking distance to the waterfront, Pike Place Market as well as the Sheraton Grand where we stayed. I came here with 8 other work colleagues for a recognition dinner and it was amazing. We had several orders of amazing calamari for the table and some artisan cocktails for appetizers - the Stoli Doli drink was excellent and fun. For dinner I had the filet mignon special Oscar style with crab and asparagus and it was just perfectly done. The steak and the sides (lobster mac and cheese to die for) were spectacular! I also want to recognize Rod for being amazing. He was our lead server and he and his team were amazing. Our team has a few characters and Rod was on his game keeping us laughing, giving great recommendations for food and really made the night special. Thank you Rod - we cant wait to come back!!

We have visited the Capital Grille in Ft Worth, Texas previously. We were returning from visiting and spending most of the day on Bainbridge Island. Upon returning to Seattle we were looking for a restaurant for dinner. As we turned the corner, we passed the Capital Grille, went around the block and returned. It was approximately 7PM. My Brother in law jumped out, went inside to see if they could take us w/o a reservation. Lo and Behold! Yes, they could. We piled out and were taken to a booth for 4. Our drink orders were taken followed by our dinner orders. The drinks were delivered swiftly with hardly any wait. The ladies' bottle of wine arrived and was to their satisfaction. We had a variety of dishes, steak, pork, salads, items to share, vegetables, and other items which I don't recall immediately. All were prepared and cooked to perfection. We shared a couple of interesting desserts, with after dinner coffee. If you want dinner without a reservation absolutely necessary, do try The Capital Grille. It is best to have a reservation, but sometimes you can get away without one. They have an extensive wine list as well as a well stocked bar. Seafood, steaks, vegan items, all good and all satisfying. The Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They can make recommendations if you are unsure what you want to eat and can help you with making your decision.

Very disappointing food. Steak okay but not a lot of favor. Fish also not great. For the price I’d skip. Liked the bar tender. Had great wine great and brandy.

We were greeted by a professional, friendly, and efficient gentleman who took the time to insure we had just the experience we were looking for. We wanted a booth for a more intimate dinner and waited at the bar while one was prepared for us. The bartender served me a perfect martini while we waited. Our table was ready before we finished our drinks. The table was perfect, on the outer edge of the restaurant so we were able to enjoy each other’s company. Our waiter took some time once again to get to know our expectations and then made some recommendations. We had the lobster and crab cakes fo an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the tenderloin topped with lobster tail. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and delicious. The lobster was also done really well. We also had the lobster Mac-n-Cheese which was the highlight of our meal. The service from beginning to end was perfect and I definitely recommend this restaurant for someone looking for a quality meal and impeccable service.

Went here the other night for a family celebration. Every thing was spot on! Andy the server could offer a clinic on how to take care of diners. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and the sides were amazing. Not cheap but worth it.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had!
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and we indulged in the amazing seafood they had on the menu. He’s from New England and said the meal was as good as anything he’s had at home. The lobster Mac and cheese was the best we’ve ever had! And don’t skip dessert - the flourless chocolate cake is a must!
