This is right next to the Hollywood Roosevelt so we went there 3 times. Each time the order was wrong, but the coffee was great and there was a little area overlooking the walk of fame; fun to sit there.

Had breakfast there twice on our last visit, sitting outside and interacting with the locals. The bagels and cream cheese are very good.

Stop by to have a good coffee and a friendly atmosphere. Good service, good price.

I'm a coffee lover from New Orleans where there are some pretty great coffee houses and delicious local coffees. I became addicted to the frozen coffee at The Coffee Bean.

I was not familiar with the menu of Coffee Bean but employees were patient, and knowledgeable about choices. They were open early, and I was able to get some tea for a reasonable price while staying across the street at The Hollywood Roosevelt.

I'm am a tea drinker and am a huge fan of the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf chain as well as their online purchasing. I order most of my tea from them and look forward to stopping by a store and getting a tea when possible. I wish they were as ubiquitous as the Starbucks chain...the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is better.

In London we do not have this delicious flavour, as coffee is as different as it gets. I'd rather have this chain than Starbucks take over the world - just for the hazelnut frapp. I am wondering if this is just a L.A thing because I haven't seen it anywhere else I have visited in the states? MAKE SURE IF IN L.A YOU GO THERE - for anything but mainly for the hazelnut frapp.

Starbucks who? For a chain, it somehow still feels like a local spot. Chai and espresso drinks dont taste mass produced and packaged. This is the only "coffe chain" I've ever found that brews their own chai tea from leaves instead of taking the shortcut of pouring a pre-mixed concentrated syrup. It's makes a world of difference! At first I thought my Cali friends were a little bit crazy for being so loyal to this chain and driving out of our way (and past other coffee shops) to find one of their shops, but it took only 2 visits before I was hooked and now look forward to finding them as soon as I land on the West Coast.

A good place to go for a quick breakfast. All the usual selections, a very busy and noisy place but good reasonable food with excellent service.

Convenient location at 6922 Hollywood Blvd an Orange , Wonderful drinks . I like the frozen drinks in particular. The Pure Chocolate is my favorite and the peach..

a relief from starbucks but not by price. still up there for a cup of joe but nice change. people are nice and clean

We don't have this chain in Europe so thought we'd give it a go. Makes a change from the other 'usual' coffee chains and we weren't disappointed. Good coffee, lots of them all over the place, so we used them quite a lot during our trip.

We Aussies are rather fussy about our coffee, here was where I as able to find one to my taste....Friendly, fast service. Definitely the place to pop in to. Their chocolate chip cookie not bad either.

Situated directly across from our hotel, it would have been awesome if I fell in love with this place. Instead, it was just ok. First of all the barista wanted to get into a debate with me about the difference between a latte and a flat white. I wasn't biting. Then it took a tad too long for my coffee to be served. I had asked for it warm so it should have been a little quicker than usual if anything. Instead, it was about 10 minutes. And piping hot. And didn't taste too great. I wouldn't recommend against this establishment, I just wouldn't list it as my go to. sorry :(

Love the Coffee Bean! I'm from Minnesota and the only location is at the Mall of America so it's quite a hassle if you wanna get coffee there. I do love it more than Starbucks! Highly recommend stopping in and getting some different than the typical Starbucks or Caribou

Right off the bat I have to mention the customer service by Rebekah. Attaching a photo of the fantastic oatmeal she made. It was a work of art, seriously. If you do go for oatmeal, shes the one to make it for you. They did have issues the past couple of weeks. Today the registers would not accept credit cards, but they were polite and respectful towards the customers. Earlier in the week the registers would not accept the gift cards, which was not great for me, but they were polite about it. A go to coffee stop for us for sure... Check out the oatmeal pic.

Coffee was good, with Starbucks at every corner I’m glad I gave this place a try. It was really good. Prices were competitive but slightly less. They use sugar free powder instead of syrup, I liked it. One thing I can say is that the cashier wasn’t friendly at all. The girls making the coffee were.

Really handy and quality stuff. Staff are pleasant and speedy. Good for a quick bite. The cheapest cup of tea.

Great service, great coffee and right in the hub of it all. Yet they keep it real, lots to see as you sip your caffeine down.

We spent a fine evening shopping around the City Walk and refreshed ourselves here at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf with tasty coffees and organic juices. It's a nice place to sit and refresh after shopping.

This is god coffee against good price. Besides the coffee, the choice is limited in food. Staff is friendky. .

While in America, I always have my coffee in the different Starbucks around the country, but I can guarantee you that The Coffee Bean is also amazing and have wonderful kind of bagels and ice coffee.

Got a large hot chocolate, bagel and cream cheese for $7.11, which is pretty good for the LAX airport. Plus it was tasty, fresh, and quick.

My daughter worked there, has excellent choices of drinks food and tea, coffee and gift or home use purchases. OG is better tasting and healthier.

Right outside Madam Tussauds. Great cappuccinoat a good price.

We just popped in for a tea and the atmosphere was engaging and warm. We relaxed outside the restaurant while we enjoyed the beautiful weather. We would gladly return to this place and spend another relaxing moment.

When traveling with Cubans coffee is extremely important! This coffee was so good we had to find additional locations to stop at along the trip! While chocolate mocha with a shot of espresso was the go too.

Had to eat breakfast twice here as the food was excellent, and budget wonderful. We were trying to eat healthy and not disappointing.

Had some time to kill waiting to get in the audience for an episode of Jimmy Kimmel. I remembered passing this on the way there so walked back around. I am so glad I did! I got an Earl Grey Tea Latte and it was sooo delicious! I was in town on vacation so had never been to this chain. This location was so much fun. There was a Charlie Chaplin and an Elvis outside drinking their coffee, only in Hollywood!

I am a former Starbucks employee and I am LoyaL ToO ThE coffee company. Then one day We had ThE Coffee BeaN and I knew that Starbucks cannot even compared to the rich creamy flavor of this delicious coffee. We DefinatELY SuGGesT HaVInG ThE CoffeE BeaN:). awesome:). Thanks:).

I got a vanilla latte, chocolate croissant, and a cheese/jalapeno bagel.the coffee was incredible, the croissant was really good, just what you’d expect. The bagel however was REALLY greasy… too greasy to eat. Overall it was a really good experience. I didn’t want to deduct a star for the bagel bc maybe it just wasn’t for me. 5 stars!

The girls working there are great. Coffee is very good, better than that liberal cesspool, Starbucks. Food is vg too. They treat me like a celebrity there...well, because I am!

The Coffee Bean is for me a very good alternative for the famous Starbucks. The quality of the coffee is very good and there are less clients so, its my coffee shop!

Open early, this joint serves an excellent cup of Joe. Friendly service and all coffee choices available.

My favourite US coffee chain - a must visit every time I'm in LA. Great atmosphere, always lots of creatives hanging out, even spotted a few celebrities at this location!

Went there for coffee in July 2014. Me and my wife have quite the history with The Coffee Bean & Tea Lea: We met on a blind date in one of their branches in Israel in 2006, so coming back to any The Coffee Bean & Tea Lea is always exciting for us! They have made a mistake with my wife's coffee order, yet fixed it once we complained. Overall - a great place to have coffee but I still prefer Starbucks.

We stopped in here for cold drinks recently, and this was a welcome oasis from the heatwave. The line was long, but it moved quickly, and our drinks also came out quickly. My iced chai and my husband’s iced hazelnut latte were both good. There’s some seating, and there are restrooms available.

A good plan to take the cool and leave with an iced coffee! Ideally located on Hollywood Boulevard! Great decor.

This location is on crossroads - area is buzzing. Once you step inside you reduce stress while getting nourished. Good stop for lunch and they even serve on a plate with silverware.

If like me you are a 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day person, and you are hard at work hoofing up and down the strip then this place will get you out of a bind. Dont get turned off if you arrive to find a long line, it just means that the coffee is worth the wait and the line does move rather quickly. Also having free WiFi is like I said so convenient.

Had a coffee with coconut milk. Ah..... Nice options and a clean space. Fair prices. Service was quick.

I wish I had a Coffee Bean back home, the people, service and Coffee was outstanding. I was actually able to have a conversation while enjoying my coffee. City Walk is a interesting place.

I Stopped next door to get gas and ran over to the Coffee Bean. The service was amazing! As was the Coffee!

No disrespect to national chains, but everything here is just a trifle above average compared with other coffee chains in L.A.

I lived within walking distance and chilled there for hours on many days. Great for people watching, spotting the occasional celebrity and d-lister. The baristas are great! They know people by name!

Awesome staff awesome drinks what is not to love. I especially love their blended drinks much like Starbucks fraps but even better. Such unique drinks and tasty too!! I came to this location several times whenever I was on Hollywood Blvd. I love the wooden bar outside perfect for seeing the colourful characters in Hollywood! Check it out!

We use to drink hot chocolate or coffee from Starbucks and looking for that store. We have seen lot of shops for The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and finally decided to go there and had coffee. It's so tasty and fresh as we enjoyed a lot.

On Hollywood blvd. and serves English tea! We love just chilling here and sometimes get to see a celebrity too! Did I mention staff are really friendly too!

I didn't realise when visiting from Australia that I would have so much difficulty getting half decent coffee. I tried starbucks multiple times and found theirs disgusting. The Coffee Bean was the best alternative I could find and was far superior :D

The iced coffee was good, but I asked for "light ice" and it was full to the top with ice. It also took a lot longer than I would have expected, since I was the only one in line. Maybe they were training a new person. I realized later that there is a Starbucks across the street...I should have gone there.

Friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and delicious coffee - what more could you want? :) Love that they have liquid sweetener available as well as the sweetener granulated packets. Just a nice touch. Great coffee. Less busy than Starbucks which was great!

Went there every day during a recent stay in town, line moved very quickly, good service always busy in the morning as for some strange reason there really are not a lot of coffee shops near by? (go figure) They have pastries, sandwiches, frozen drinks as well and pretty reasonable prices, enjoy

Work next door - over here all the time. Got a cup given as present yesterday for being a regular...yet I go over this morning to get my usual and their card system is down. Do you think they would give me my less than $3.00 cup of tea or tell me to pay next time since I'm there all the time? Nope...sorry system isn't working. I don't take cash over only my phone and I use my app. If they really valued my business, they wouldn't give me a cup - they would take care of me when their system is down with a cup of tea. Get with it guys!

Iced latte was really good, great selection of teas. Comfortable and relaxing in the store. Worth a visit

great cup of coffee without that burnt after taste like you know where. The beans are roasted properly. Internet access is always nice. clean and comfortable. Kahwa Cofee in St. Petersburg Florida is still the best.

Kind of like Starbucks: strong but not very flavorful. Better coffee shops are in the neighborhood, but this one is very convenient.

This place has the look and feel of a starbucks, prices are similar if not slightly better. The taste of the coffee here is the best i've had. The Ice Blended Mocha is great. Make it "ultimate" which adds chocolate covered espresso beans to it. Love this place!

A large cup of coffee is was $2.29 with tax which isn't overly-expensive in today's market. I wish I would have discovered this place earlier during my trip to L.A.

Frozen drinks are always delicious! Courteous service! Wish Dallas had a Coffee Bean as this beats Starbucks' Frozen coffee drinks!

I have been to this store several times over several years and it's always great food, great coffee and great service.

Coffee good but service slow. Waiting forever- it seems- to get your order completed. Some employees were friendly but others were not and appeared to be more willing to serve the under 30 crowd. Atmosphere created a feeling of not wanting to return.Went to Starbucks instead.

Just average. Wouldn't return. Toilets in need of a good clean (ironically there's a closed for cleaning sign on door to deter certain people which seems unfair) Staff friendly.

What a lovely Coffee Shop with staff to match, they were so helpful and gave us a great start to our days in Los Angeles.

Great coffee for the US! Nice staff, who were always very busy but always friendly, had a coffee there everyday that we stayed across the road at the Hollywood Roosevelt

Competent coffee shop with fast service. Option for non-dairy milk to add to coffee. Right on Hollywood Blvd across from the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

I had a terrible blister on my right heel, but at the same time, craved coffee! The family run business was so helpful, finding me band-aids, etc. The Coffee was super too :)

Finally somewhere in LA that can make a good coffee. Great service, the coffee was edible. The server helped me order what I needed to get the coffee I wanted. I recommend to coffee lovers. You just need to order a double shot.

Depending on the time of the day there may be lines, but overall this is similar to Starbucks experience. They have their own menu for drinks and food (light food). The waiting time was as long and they have decent seating area. The staff is friendly and somewhat welcoming, the quality of the drinks are good. This is a great stop to get a refreshment/use the bathroom/snack before continuing your scavenger hunt for the celebrity star you are looking for.

Very good service, nice decoration, good drinks. Good snack selection. I really wanted to have my espresso served in a ceramic cup but everything is served in paper cups wich is very "starbucksed"

Great place to sit and people watch with free wifi. Serve juice and always able to get english tea. Nice to sit outside and watch the world go by.

We stopped in several times because they were located right next to our hotel. We weren't sure what to expect since we have never been to one before. The staff was very friendly (even at 6 am!) and very helpful. The pastries and coffee were delicious!

Place was clean. Coffee was blah. Service was courteous. Better than a Starbucks, not as good as a Dunkin Donuts, in my opinion.

This cafe was very close to where we were staying so we decided to give it a go. I must say, compared with other coffee shops in the Hollywood area this would have to be one of the best. I would recommend dropping in for you daily cup of coffee

As an Australian I don't expect much from American coffee chains but I do expect to get what I pay for. This particular morning stop in for coffee did not go well. There were 4 people waiting when we arrived and 2 more in front of us ordering so that's essentially 6 coffees they needed to make before ours. There were 4 staff members working and none of them seemed to know how to make coffee. The girl on the register had to keep showing the one trying to make coffee what to do. For every coffee. People just kept piling in the door to order and no coffees or teas were being made. Eventually they got out the 6 orders ahead of ours (only 3 containing hot drinks), after a 15 minute wait since we had been there. Then I watched them make my latte which consisted of the hopeless coffee girl burn the milk, superheating it to a million degrees in the process (a latte should never be served that hot) and then pour it into the cup that had the coffee in it, milk only. She then used a spoon to pile the foam on top (latte shouldn't have the fluffy foam). It looked like dirty bath water topped with bubbles and it tasted like burnt milk. Very burnt. Didn't have time to complain due to the hopeless girl now being about 12 orders behind and no one else helping her catch up and my tour bus leaving in 5 minutes.

The Service: Efficient. Friendly. The Food: I love green tea and they have so many varieties of green tea! Love it~ Coconut Pineapple muffin - Very moist and can really taste small pieces of pineapple inside the muffin. Lots of shredded coconut on top.

I would possibly rate it better than average, it was good but does not garner a "very good" rating for sure. It was conveniently located, right next to the Roosevelt Hotel and since we had an early start to the day, we decided to go there for breakfast. The egg spinach cheddar sandwich was good, the donuts (Rainbow sprinkle & Old Fashioned) were very average. The cappuccinos were not bad either. Service was efficient. Bathroom was under repair - did not affect us since we were staying right next door at Roosevelt but its good to have an accessible bathroom at all restaurants/ cafes.

My coffee was not good and I did not drink it ,my partners was just average,a very busy little coffee shop

Stopped for a coffee, took 20 minutes to get, but was great tasting coffee, would reccomend over starbucks!!

Wow, we were warned about American coffee and had low expectations, but damn. We were hoping this place might be a step above the horrendous Starbuck infestation but sadly it is just as bad. The store is nice, the staff were super friendly and for the local market I'm sure it is just fine. If however you're from a part of the world that serves real coffee and were hoping for something that doesn't taste like burnt watery tar, keep looking. I rarely call any form of caffeine this, but the double espresso was basically undrinkable. The face it made my wife pull was almost worth the experience though! Haha! Aussies, Europeans, steer clear!

Really nice to use wifi!! Hot chocolate and cookie was very delicious. Would definitely come back again.

Very happy to stop in and enjoy an iced coffee on a 90 degree day in Hollywood! Friendly staff, great iced coffee and reasonable prices. A welcome sight after being screwed over on theme park priced food and drinks all day long. The place is clean and comfortable and has a hometown feel. Nice way to end a very busy day. And if you need to send postcards home, there's a mail box right across the street.

I made the mistake of asking how many calories were in the tea because it tasted so good. I choked when I was told 250. I really enjoyed it, though. Grilled Cheese and Spinach on a roll was also very good.

The site manager treats tourist clients very badly. Told me I went in there just to use the bathroom Then he refused to attend me. To not spoil my trip I did not argue and left

So I am a proud esoresso coffee snob, and apparently we New Zealanders are spoilt as we enjoy some of the nicest gourmet coffees in the world. USA is sadly lacking in decent espresso coffee, BUT we were able to find something close at the Coffee Bean chain so that's worht a good mention to fellow espresso snobs...a life essential isn't it? Thanks so much Coffee Bean

Like this shop on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and orange. Good coffee and service. Excellent for a coffee stop before going back to your hotel..

Open early, which helps for the east coast traveler.

Their iced coffee is just hot coffee over ice, but it's hard to find real cold brewed coffee anyway. They had a nice selection of bean flavored coffees which is great. You get the flavor without the icky syrups.

Service was quick and efficiant, but done with a smile. My order was correct and it was delicious!

Actually in was at the air port lax. Got coffee in the morning just before flight. Hot tasty and quick service.

Found this coffee shop very disappointing. First off, our order was messed up. Then the employee who made the coffee was very rude to us. When we finally got both of the espresso's we ordered, they were revolting! Like burnt toast mixed with drip coffee, yuk!

Good coffee and very good chocolate cake. Open late on Sat night.

I wasn't so impressed with the coffee, but the people are nice and the shop is cute. The coffee is, well, Coffee Bean coffee.

Great coffee, great service, we came back every day just to get our fix of coffee. Very friendly staff..

Had excellent coffee at another of the stores in this Chain - so this was the place to chose along Hollywood Blvd. Excellent location on this busy, bustling and lively place. Loved it.

Enjoyed a ice coffee on a hot day, service was good, price OK. Good alternative to Starbucks, and being in an AC-ed place was very welcome this day.

My first visit to this franchise was a a really enjoyable one. The server was so friendly and polite with a really great attitude, the barista was also really nice and they appeared to enjoy what they were doing. I had a hazelnut latte and blueberry scone. The drink was really nice and as a frequent coffee shop drinker, I was impressed. My sister had a latte and lemon cake and said it was also great. The reason this review was not a five is because there was food on display which was not actually available (typical that this is what we wanted). Also the toilets were out of order which was not the best. I would highly recommend this coffee shop, especially the staff who really were great.

This is a great little place with coffee, drinks, breakfast items, sandwiches, etc. Prices are great considering the area.

I’m not the biggest coffee drinker but every time I walked past I would find myself buying another coffee. great service and plenty of variety

good coffee shop with sweets and items for a quick fix but it's tiny so there are very few tables available especially since it's located ON Hollywood Blvd. If you get your coffee and items to go you will be fins. Place is always crowded so be patient bc it's not an in and out kind of place, you will have to wait for your coffee.

We found a small The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf store on the corner of Hollywood Blvd, opposite Madame Tussaud’s, just in the nick of time when we made an early morning visit to the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Sunday July 30 2023. We hadn’t heard of The Coffee Bean before, but later learnt that it had been founded in Southern California in 1963 and now had over 310 stores across 14 states. Seating was sparse but we managed to find two stools in the small enclosed outside area. This gave us a brilliant spot to sit and relax and enjoy the comings and goings on Hollywood Blvd. We got to see many of the ‘famous’ costumed characters arriving for this day of working the crowds. Spider-Man, who we christened Snidey-Man, jumped out on us and gave us a playful fright. He then proceeded to walk over the pedestrian crossing while the red man was on and as Mucky Mouse watched on aghast. Before this, an unhoused man asked us for a coffee. We declined but kindly gave him a bottle of strawberry Smart Water as it was already very hot at 10 a.m. He didn’t drink it, however, and tipped it out and washed his hands and face with it. Strawberry flavor! Service was quick and we enjoyed: 🍔Ham, Egg & Cheese Brioche sandwich $5.95, toasted and served hot. 🥪Bacon, Egg and Cheese Muffin $5.50 🥤Iced Vanilla Latte $5.45 ☕️Cafe Latte $4.65 😢Tax $1.09 💰Total = $22.64 This was pricey for a small breakfast, but it was worth every cent, and the sandwiches did indeed fill us up until our late lunch/early dinner at 4 p.m. Both drinks were very enjoyable and we were impressed with the portion size. What a brilliant start to the day.

We came by for a quick cuppa. They were very friendly and appeared to have a good knowledge of what was on the menu. We sat outside with our coffee. Not a massive amount of room but it was nice to people watch from where we sat.

i had to get a quick breakfast from here and i wish their pastries were good. i can't even recall if my tea latte was good and i'm a cbtl regular can't help but compare to other locations. a good spot to people watch though.

Had an iced mocha drink to keep me going as I was getting sleepy while doing the touristy thing. Great tasting!

Only coffee shop I'll go to. Much better option than Starbucks. The rewards system is stupid but the service is always great.

Hard trying to find good coffee in the US sorry guys but I don't put sugar in my coffee but there I have to add three sachets This was good though and so was the hot chocolate

I really found it hard to find a good coffee in the USA. I am not knocking them over there but I found coffee to be weak in taste, but this coffee shop was outstanding. It was by far the best coffee I had in the USA. Well done really enjoyed it.

My partner and I were holidaying in the west coast of USA from Australia. We needed a cold drop coffee when we first arrived in America....we found this franchise to be excellent...free wifi and a large cold drip on the most perfectly small ice cubes....our only regret was that we didn't buy one of the travel mugs and that we didn't sample the nitrogen treated cold brew coffee. Great service.

5pm walking by, grabbed hot English breakfast tea and hazelnut latte. Lovely atmosphere, friendly team. They are open Christmas Day!

Messing up an order is completely human and forgivable, if you make an effort to make it good again. Well, the guys here didn't, and to top it off they were arrogant about it as well. I'm never never setting foot in here again.

Pretty average , watered down, chain store coffee but a good place to duck into to cool down or get some respite from the craziness of Hollywood blvd

After a morning of meetings just wanted a changes tea latte and a muffin. Walked in placed my order and had my items within minutes.

I am not addicted to coffee, but my daughters and husband are. So, I've been to The Coffee Bean. I'm not sure how they would rate it, as they are the connoisseurs of fine coffee, but I enjoy the coffee here and the service is usually very nice too.

Stopped over here during our visit of Hollywood Boulevard, and it turned out that this became our best experience in Hollywood. Relaxing environment, friendly staff, close to the famous steps of Dolby Theatre.

They have the best ice blended mocha--maybe in the world. Definitely worth trying if you like this sort of thing.

This by far beats other coffee places. The coffee beans they use are superb and not bitter. Teas are wonderful too. They will not disappoint you.

We felt like some hot chocolate and they had two choices, Mexican hot chocolate, or their regular hot chocolate. We had the regular and it was delicious, made with foaming Hot milk and their own powder mix. One of the best I've had.

Good coffee with a good choice of breakfast and all day snacks. Staff were friendly and gave good service.
Great coffee! And Hollywood Elvis sat with us and had coffee!
Great place and location! Very clean and inviting. We love the outside area that you can sit at and people watch!
