Nice View, Subpar Food...Food Temps Need Improvement!

By Annabelle4595 |

We ate here as a group of 9 celebrating a special occasion. The view was nice, overlooking downtown Atlanta. Our server/staff were nice and attentive. The food however, was nothing special and they really need to work on the food temperatures. My brother and I each had steak. It was very small and COLD. I had the creamed spinach...cold, not even lukewarm. My brother, husband and son had the lobster mac n cheese, also cold. We waited a decent amount of time for our food, you would think it would be hot. For the amount they charge, I'd expect MUCH more. Overall, I would not return to The Commerce Club

Nice

I really can't speak for the restaurant, but we had a Marine Corps reunion here this weekend and it was a very nice place...maybe a tad too nice for us. Haha Everyone I came in contact with was very polite, and the food we had, buffet style, was awesome. I would've lived to get some better views from the windows but it was rainy and foggy. Wife andi were gonna take a picture together on our way in the building...security type guy told us we were not allowed...which I thought was strange.

The Views! The Views! The Views!

Dining at The Commerce Club is an experience!!! I took two business associates out for dinner and they were blown away. The service was good but the food was perfection! The front desk person and gentleman host were part of the experience too. Both were very informative and conversational. Above all else though, the views from the 49th floor are spectacular. We spent 10 minutes taking pictures to add to our memorable experience. Make sure to try the homemade ice cream with cookies!!! It's not your regular dessert.

Great Business Lunch

By Knurt |

We had a quick break from a day of meetings and lunched at the Commerce Club. Unfortunately, fog prevented taking advantage of the views from the 49th floor. There was good energy about the establishment. We were settled in, water served and orders taken very quickly. Salads all round and mine was the nicoise, nicely presented and the tuna seared just right. All too soon we had to leave.

The perfect business luncheon

By elephanttrkker |

Everything was top notched. Even when my salad came out with dressing that I had not ordered, it was just minutes before I had the item as requested. The perfect venue for a business lunch. Lirs if attention and class.

The service was fantastic and welcoming. I had a very good lunch with the soup of the day and a crab cake.

The Commerce Club is Consistent Classy and a Connoisseurs Playground

By dalentinar |

The Commerce Club is a place of class from the point of entry! The check in process is very welcoming and the food and service are above average. The food displays are anything but typical, because they serve to please and they score a very high mark for their efforts. I have had the pleasure of hosting a both a Birthday Celebration and Mother's Day brunch at this restaurant and I am eager to return.

Wedding Reception

Went to a wedding reception at the commerce club. We stayed at the Ritz which is connected and it was very convenient. The view from the club was fantastic and the food was great!

What a view!

If you can score a table by a window you will be treated to an outstanding view of the city. Their signature crawfish and corn chowder is not to be missed. Worth every penny and I ate every drop.

Best Burgers in Town

By Garry M |

I had the best cheese burger here for lunch anywhere and it has been a long time. We had a business meeting here so it was on the 49th floor in the board room. Great views of downtown.

Classy elegance, persnickety service and delectable food

By MsSeriousAtl |

The perfect location of this venue is, refreshingly, matched by the excellent atmosphere, food and service. The portions are generous and I cannot think of one food choice that would not be worthwhile. The coffee is brewed fresh all day for a boost of energy after even the most boring business lunch. The views of Atlanta from the 49th floor that the Club occupies are another welcome distraction for the most sleep-inducing conversations. This is not a budget eatery for certain. However, you certainly get what you pay for.

Old fashioned service

I recently had the privilege of dining here on the 49th floor. You can't fault anything about the Club, its that good. I took some close friends here as a thank you and they were suitably impressed. One member of the party traveled on a mobile scooter and this didn't present any difficulty for the Club The service was from another era gracious and professional, all to rare in todays world. The club is furnished in the most tasteful manner and alot of thought has gone into the menu selection. Thank you Everett for a wonderful lunch

Great view and staff

The view from the top is great, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the food was OK though the presentation and service makes up for it.

Wedding reception

By pupspals |

We attended a wedding reception here, so my perspective is as a guest. But I thought they did a wonderful job and the presentation was lovely, and the food was outstanding!! The wedding couple had arranged a large dinner buffet, along with appetizers in the bar before hand. Lovely views of the Atlanta skyline. Staff friendly and accommodating. Did I mention the food??? Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! Kudos!

Great Place To Seal The Deal

The food was great and the view outstanding on a clear sunny day. Everything was perfect and the conversation was almost as good.

Get the lobster and ask for Demarcus

By soldieroflite |

Hussan greeted us at the desk. And he was very pleasant and wonderful. He sat us next to the window with a beautiful view of the city. Demarcus came over afterwards and took great care of us. The bread came out first which was bland but the butter was good. We got the deviled eggs and the crab cake appetizer. Juanita also helped Demarcus. She was a pleasure too. The crab cake was excellent. Then came the lobster tails which I haven't had a lobster tail that good in a long time. It was soooo good. And the filet mignon was good along with the mashed potatoes and asparagus. The dessert was good too. My wife commented on the raspberry cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes she's had in a long time. The pecan tart was good. The ice cream was soo good. Glad we came.

Good Food and Excellent Views

The food at the Commerce Club was surprisingly updated as I expected it to be standard club food. The views are nice from the top of the building.

Very Lively Nightspot

By Steven K |

We are members of a sister-club in Boston and were staying nearby. They had live music and dancing early on a Friday night, which was fun. Very nice vibe in the lounge for what could easily be a stuffy experience.

Excellent dining experience. Guests are valued and treated with utmost care.

Commerce Club is the absolute best dining experience in Atlanta. It is my preferred venue for strategically important business lunches.

Not the quality we expected

By Terri S |

We ate at the Commerce Club in the ClubCorp system on our Signature Gold benefit. We were really disappointed. The food sounded good on the menu but was average at best. The items as they arrived, in two cases, were nothing like the descriptions on the menu. When we questioned the waitress about the various problems as they occurred, she got more and more irritated. She then made herself scarce and the serving assistant took over. She was also unhappy with us or just a poor server because we did not just serve our food, she tossed it in our direction, she dropped it on the table or she slid it across the table. She also actually pulled plates from our hands as we tried to tell her we were not finished. A very hostile atmosphere. The view was great. The place is quite pretty. If we had not actually tried to eat there, I would be writing a better review. This is an expensive place. We did not feel we got our money's worth in any way. I can think of no circumstance under which we would try this again.

Breathtaking view

By Pedro T |

This is one of Atlanta's hidden gems for business and power lunches. Excellent service and a great fine dinning atmosphere compliments the awesome North Atlanta skyline view. The menu contains a good variety of items from soups, salads, entrees, and desserts. It is pricey but worth the visit especially at daytime.

First Night In Atlanta

Our friends from Bryan treated us to cocktails and a great dinner here. The food was wonderful and the service attentive.

Super, for a Wedding

By Allen L |

We had the opportunity to attend Botha wedding ceremony/reception and a next morning burch at the Commerce Club. Everything was special. The rooms were well appointed for the ceremony, bar service, appetizers, and dinner/dancing. The food was excellent and served in perfect style. We feasted on lamb chops, shrimp and cheeses before dinner, and enjoyed a fish and steak duet for the main course. The brunch included lox, eggs, usages, omelets, waffles, and many other items. Liquor flowedthoughout. Wait staff took care of everything. The venue is located on top of a large office building with incredible views of the city. One could not ask for more. We know our hosts did not stint. If you want to enjoy a top shelf event, plan to have it here.
