Ordered family birthday dinner for pick-up. Everything was perfect, the order was ready on time, the order was complete, the food was hot and delicious! The tomato soup and grilled cheese combo is the bomb! Perfect birthday food!

I am not typically a fan of tomato soup and grilled cheese - but Couch Tomato's is out of this world! I keep ordering it because I can't get enough! They also have very good pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches. I've always had a great experience from delicious food to inviting servers!

Best gluten-free hamburger/sandwich rolls. If they have "sold out" on the on-line menu, then you may have better luck making a call. Also the vegan coconut desert cake/cookie is out of this world!

I took a client to lunch here as she likes to eat healthy and is a foodie, so still wants taste and clever recipes. They delivered on all the above, and I looked good for suggesting this place! We sat on the 3rd floor in the Bistro, which has wait service. Dishes we loved were Goat Cheese Salad and Short Rib Pizza. Amazing! With soft drinks and lots of leftovers, lunch for two with tip was only $40. Not bad for business, and we could have easily eaten well for about half that by sharing. I was also happy to see they have gluten-free pizza crust, which was tasty for gluten-free, but not as delicious as the regular crust.

I was visiting Philadelphia for the weekend and wanted to try something new that delivered. The Couch Tomato delivered in more ways than one! We ordered the kicken chicken sandwich and it was great but the bbq pizza was some of the best pizza I've ever had. My wife got the lemonade and she was impressed with it as well. They use local and organic ingredients too! It was reasonably priced and the delivery was really quick. Overall, I highly recommend to anyone in the philly area!

I ordered the Burrata and tomato pasta and it was amazing! so creamy and rich! I also ordered the beer flight which was equally as good.

I was on a winning streak! Amazing pizza after amazing pizza, yet consistently cool - never hot or even warm. And while on the expensive side, it was our go to. But something happened, something very bad and no good. My last pizza was disgraceful. I wouldn’t serve that to a rabid raccoon. They served me the trash. Half the pizza was burnt and the mushrooms were unrecognizable pieces of leather, not meant for consumption. In my mind, if I pulled it out of the oven it would’ve gone in the trash. There is literally no way I could put in a box and give it to a human for consumption. It literally smelled burnt. I’m offended.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. For a store so small and simple, you'd think they'd be supportive and easygoing with their staff right, yet that couldn't be further from the truth. The so called leaders and supervisors fail to properly train employees but still criticize them and even lie about things they never did. Hearing how a former staff member was treated here by their own manager Josh was honestly sickening. Calling someone 'unprofessional' for being too friendly is ridiculous. If anything, that kind of energy makes the store more welcoming. And on top of that, not allowing employees to take proper food breaks or check their phone for family emergencies is unacceptable. Late paychecks, rude comments, and unprofessional conversations about hardworking employees seem to be the norm here. If you're still reading this, take it as your sign: don't support a business that can't even respect the people who keep it running. Your money is better spent somewhere that values both its customers and its staff.

Couch Tomato is a gem. Fresh ingredients, vegan and vegetarian options, friendly service. We've dined in, done take-out, and ordered delivery and every time the food is consistently delicious. If you need gluten-free pizza crust, theirs is outstanding, which is hard to find! The vegan poppyseed dressing is delicious, and their salad choices are excellent. In addition to the menu items they've created, you can also do build-your-own for pizzas and salads.

My husband and I used to dine here frequently, they changed their menu last year and I was reluctant to go, but we did in February. They had a menu item "Edamame Dumplings", they were clearly labeled "gluten free". After seeing them and tasting one, I knew they could not be gluten free and I asked the waitress to check what the ingredients were. Then she came out very apologetic saying they are very sorry, the pasta sheets are NOT gluten free! This item was on their menu for MONTHS and was listed as gluten free when it never was. This was not a mistake of it being made incorrectly, it was never meant to be gluten free. The couch tomato is careless with their gluten free and that affected my health for months. A restaurant should NOT offer gluten free if they do not have the dedication or education to do so. The couch tomato has since changed their menu to reflect that this item is not gluten free but I will NEVER EVER dine here ever again.

We have couch tomato all the time because it’s just simply good. Sometimes multiple times a week. Definitely a crowd pleasing place if you’re showing someone around yunk

I have been to the Couch Tomato multiple times. Both in the bistro and upstairs restaurant area. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They have really great appetizers. Their pizza is flavorful and there are a lot of unique flavors/ingredients to try from. The best part is that they have gluten-free pizza and apps and are very accommodating in this respect. While their pizza and sliders are delicious my favorite thing is their cheesy bread and I usually add pepperoni. When I come here I don't feel like I compromise value and delicious taste because I have to be gluten-free. Also, almost forgot to mention our waiter/waitress each time have been so sweet and patient.

Great restaurant for a leisurely girls lunch. Wagyu burger and chicken salad sandwich were out of this world. Loved the sweet potato fries with the special sauce. They even gave us a complimentary sample of their tomato soup!! Can’t wait to go back ❤️

Been going there for years and I have literally never ordered anything off their menu that I haven’t liked. Just a great place.

Absolutely the best go-to in Manyunk, perfect for lunch or dinner. All ingredients are fresh and most are local. I always get the sanwiches because I order from them so much, but the salads and pizza are well worth the price. Everything is filling. The wings though are some of the best ever. They may seem pricy, but trust me, they are worth it.

This was my first time here and I thought there would only be pizza options at this place but there was a lot of different food options! I had the fanciest Grilled Cheese sandwich I’ve ever tasted and it was good! Coupled with Tomato soup, it was a perfect lunch.

I was hosting a party last night and a friend recommended ordering pizza from Couch Tomato in Manayunk. We got 3 pizzas, 2 were plain. It came to $90!! And what’s worse is that the pizza was awful. Added $14 for “charges” which I don’t understand. I guess delivery? When the pizza arrived, one of them looked like the box was shook violently. I’ll never order pizza from here again. There are too many other options in the area, this is no competition.

And again and again... I love visiting new cities and stumbling upon places that I will miss when I leave. This little gem provided the most delicious and satisfying lunch. My son and I both loved our choices. He had the baja sandwich and I had a vegan burger. We shared fries and I also had a house salad, which I saved for dinner. I cannot recommend this place enough. Even with takeout during COVID, it was delicious.

4 friends had different meals, all were delicious. That's all you can ask. We'll be back the next time we go to the Mann.

A couple friends and I visited and it was so yummy! We sat upstairs where there was high table stool seating. Very casual cute. The wait service was very attentive and kind. The food was really good! I wouldn't say the most amazing but it was really good. I would definitely would recommend to friends as well as I'll definitely be going back soon!

The Couch Tomato Café catered our meeting at work. They served Pizza and a salad called, "Food Pyramid" It was so delicious! And that salad was out of this world! It had greens, strawberries, and candied pecans, plus other things. It was so good. All the food at the Couch Tomato are fresh wholesome ingredients. There are many other options that are gluten free too! In the past few weeks I've been ordering from this establishment, trying other things on the menu. Everything I've ordered to date, has been very delicious. And I always pick up my online orders myself. I get nothing but respect and kindness from the workers. Please, just try something on the menu and you will be hooked! They have a forever customer in me!!

This is our second visit to The Couch Tomato Cafe' & Bistro. We ate an early dinner here on a Saturday afternoon. Whenever we go we try something different but it is hard top pass up the pizza which is a house specialty. It's not a cheap pizzeria like many in Philadelphia, the atmosphere is sophisticated and the food high lever.

Just moved to the neighborhood, and Couch Tomato has become my go-to spot for a healthy, tasty meal! I am vegan and I like that there are many great plant-based options including tofu on salads and vegan cheeses on pizza.

We were amazed to find a place that offered delicious pizzas made with dairy-free cheese! My wife and son are dairy free, and the margherita pizza with vegan cheese was absolutely as tasty and authentic a pizza as I've had anywhere (with or without dairy). Thrilled to have found this local gem.

If I had only 1 word to describe the pizza's at Couch Tomato, I'd use Phenomenal! I had the Buffalo Chicken pizza and it is bursting with flavor. It is one my absolute favorites! As a resident of Manayunk, this is one of my favorite restaurants! Highly recommend!

The Couch Tomato is a great go-to for fresh and locally sourced ingredients. My favorite would have to be the Food Pyramid salad, packed with cucumbers, candied walnuts, strawberries, chicken and choice of greens. Like almost every restaurant, they did experience staffing challenges over the past 2 years which resulted in some visits being less that outstanding. My last few visits have proven they seem to be back on track with more or better trained staff. I think a key factor in my 5 star review is when they get it wrong, they are responsive and do everything they can to make it right. That's sorely missing with a lot of businesses. If you're considering a "chain", definitely instead try Couch Tomato. They also have locations in West Chester and a new one in Conshohocken.

I've eaten here a few times with family and friends. Definitely one of the top eateries in the area. The food is fresh, delicious and inexpensive. In the few times I've been here, myself and my friends/ family have had many items on the menu and we've NEVER been disappointed. My friends continue to talk about how great the food is AND they've taken their family and friends there after our visit. Seriously, delish food!!

I recently enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Pizza at Couch Tomato. The house ancho-agave sauce is a must-have for delicious sweet and spicy heat and the sliced celery on top sounds strange at first but adds a really nice crunch. This has been my go-to order for the past few months and I love it. The service in the restaurant is always friendly and pleasant, too. Life in Manayunk is tastier thanks to Couch Tomato!

By far the best pizza I've had. The sauce has such a better taste than most pizza places, and the pizza is always cooked perfectly. You'll pay for the quality, but it's definitely worth it - every time.

My boyfriend and I always go to The Couch Tomato Cafe, but we decided to try the Bistro for Restaurant Week. We loved the Bistro just as much as we love the Cafe! The atmosphere was awesome. You wouldn’t even know the Cafe was downstairs! The staff were great and so was the decor. Best part was the food! The pizza soup rules and so does everything else (just like the cafe). Definitely make a trip if you get the chance.

This is avery nice restaurants with good food; however, I did not like the layout and the seating arrangements. The food is very fresh and good and service pleasant and welcoming.

We came with a small group of friends for dinner. We got some pizzas, pasta, and salad. We sat in their upstairs space which was nice and cozy. Everything was very delicious.

This is a fun place for college students. Sitting upstairs was nice! The food tasted fresh but the garlic bread was disappointing :/ because it was just bread with Meh garlic sauce on the side. But my pizza was great and it offers many full vegan options for my friends!

The Couch Tomato does a good job of including lots of vegetarian options! The upstairs restaurant is dimly lit and beautiful at night making for a romantic date spot. My favorite on their menu are the personal specialty pizzas and the tomato soup! I've been to the downstairs bistro for lunch before and it's a nice and casual spot.

The Couch Tomato is our favorite restaurant in Manayunk (and now Conshohocken too)! I am gluten free and there are so many options for me - the gluten free sandwiches and the gluten free pizza are the best I have EVER had. The gluten free buffalo chicken pizza is so good it will have you double checking to make sure you got the gluten free kind haha. If you are gluten free, you know this is hard to come by! We love to go to the restaurant to sit down but their take-out is just as good!! I have never had a complaint about this place. Anytime we don't want to cook, we get Couch Tomato and any time we have family visiting we bring them to Couch Tomato!

The tomato soup rocks my socks. I need to try other foods but it's such a classic! The grilled cheese I got with it was a bit too cheesy for me, but that's more personal preference. My gluten-free friend says their gf pizza is great as well!!

I love The Couch Tomato especially the soup and grilled cheese special which is my go-to. The tomato basil soup is so delicious. I frequent a lot here and so does my family. They did miss up an order, but was quick to rectify the problem and also gave me a coupon for my next order. The only issue I have is regarding using my coupon on the online app. It doesn't automatically come off and asks you to fill up the gift card before using it. I'm unsure if anyone else had this issue. Nevertheless, I will very much so still make this my first spot as a treat for local and delicious lunch. The staff is friendly and my food is always ready. What keeps me coming back here is their salads. I’m not a huge salad person to be honest, but they do salads right. Most places give you lots a lettuce and very little toppings, but they give you so much variety! I never knew a salad could be so good. Everything tastes so fresh; the lettuce is crisp, never wilting, the avocado is green, never browning, you can tell everything is prepared when you order it. They’re food makes you feel good too! You never feel sluggish or bloated. Get that Anchor Cobb salad and you can thank me later!!

The food is out of this world with ample options for folks with dietary or restrictions by choice including dairy free and gluten free choices available every day. Our table ordered personal size pizzas which are larger than you might expect. Salads are fresh! Several iced tea choices which are all unsweetened. Nice cocktail menu as well!

I seriously love everything about The Couch Tomato Cafe! They have the best food and everything is always so fresh, on top of that they have great service. Definitely would recommend it!

Great food, timely service, highly recommend!! I get take out from here all the time! I usually get the holy chipotle salad, and the grilled cheese and tomato bisque combo!

My boyfriend and I love this place. We would go every day if we could. The happy hour menu is amazing. Our favorite sandwiches are Bada Bing and Chickaletta. Nothing beats the toasted focaccia!!

I went and got take out from here and had a great experience. Food came out fast and was still warm once I brought it home. I ordered the chicken cutlet with sundried tomato sauce and prosciutto and it’s my favorite.

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Philadelphia. I have dined in and picked up takeout. The food is consistently excellent, especially the signature grilled cheese and soup combination. Easily the most comforting and decadent combination of soup and sandwich out there. When dining in, there is a nice bistro area where service is top notch. When getting takeout, the food stays delicious as well. A must-visit restaurant when coming to Manayunk's main street.

Fantastic food, right in the heart of Main Street in Manayunk. The tomato soup shooters were delicious, and the Cajun shrimp salad was even better. Will definitely be returning here!

My favorite place to get weeknight takeout or have a casual lunch with friends! Great options for everyone and I love their gluten free hoagie rolls for the sandwiches. I’ve always gotten great service whether dining in or takeout.

We were in a hurry so decided to grab a bowl. Wanted to to order the $10.99 Kin-O-Ahh bowl off the menu but could not find it as a choice on the electronic ordering pad. Trying to recreate it on the ordering pad brought the price up to $14.99. So I asked the kid at the register to order it for us. What we got was a bowl full of romaine lettuce and admittedly tasty chicken. Missing were most of the other ingredients specified on the description: specifically quinoa and feta cheese. The portion was big enough for us to share and the chicken was tasty. They have outside picnic tables but they were pretty dirty. We have some great bowl restaurants in Palm Beach County. Couch Tomato's version was a total disappointment.

Warm and cozy environment, staff was helpful to our inability to choose from the pizza selection (all are wonderful) and the pizza is my favorite in Philly- that's saying something, Philly has a lot of pizza. Highly recommend this place for whatever- dates, family get togethers, or, as I often do, ordering pizza delivery as a self-treat.

This cozy bistro has a great lunch menu. Personal pizza choices are varied and unusual (and very very tasty). Other menu items looked good, too. Make sure you try the pear and fig pizza with Gorgonzola --it is out of this world.

Best Cheesy Bread! Highly recommend! Order it with the tomato soup! Also has great salads and good happy hour specials!

This place is great! Being a vegan with non-vegan friends, I love that their menu has one side that is plant based and one side that is not. The vegan calamari was amazing, the texture was perfect and that sauce on the side! Yum. I can’t wait to get some more.

I am an absolute fan of the Couch Tomato. As a kid growing up my mom used to make us grilled cheese and Campbell's tomato soup. After having that soup for multiple years I officially became team Chicken Noodle. Never to touch, try, smell, sniff tomato soup ever again was a life's goal. Lo and behold, while at the Couch Tomato on a Thursday night, I was given a sample of the Creamy tomato basil soup. The flavors of this soup are absolutely incredible. That's not the only thing to love there but it is what I relished on my last 2 visits. The atmosphere, along with the nicest wait staff are what makes me return. I chose the Couch Tomato as my finale restaurant for Manayunk's Stroll the Street; that speaks volumes for me.

Since moving into the area this has been our go to place for dinner and lunch and we love it so much that we have taken family here when they come to visit. Our family loves it here. The service was great, the waitresses we had were very kind and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. They give you a sampler of their tomato soup while you wait for your food which was so rich and creamy. Their salad and pizzas are really good. My favorite is the Cajun Shrimp salad which is always used with fresh ingredients and a homemade dressing. I've also had their pizzas which are filling and come in either wheat, white or gluten free dough. Overall this is a great place for both lunch and dinner and you won't be disappointed.

I came here for the first time ever for ny birthday dinner. SUCH good food and a great atmosphere. They're also very attentive to food allergies and special dietary needs. I'm on Whole30 and the salmon salad was perfect. I recommend the cheese plate as well!

The Couch Tomato offers meal choices unlike any that I've seen elsewhere. Healthy options, vegetarian options, gluten free options, and beat of all everything was delicious.

We recently moved from center city so we were really spoiled with our food options, but we've found a perfect place for us. I am pretty picky with my food, especially my salads and pizza; it has to be fresh with a lot of flavor, which is exactly what you get at Couch Tomato. You also get a good portion size for the price. I love that you can make your own salad, and that they use local produce. I would highly recommend stopping by this place!

The Couch Tomato is one of my go-to restaurants as a resident of Manayunk, with visits almost becoming a weekly tradition at this point. The tomato soup and grilled cheese combo is the best, and the atmosphere is lovely.

Love The Couch Tomato. We have been coming here for about 5 years now. We mostly do takeout and the food is excellent. They are known for their pizza but the cheesey breadsticks are the true winner. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love the couch tomato. It is a great break from the dining room at Westchester. I always go with my friends and when my friends come up to visit. They also make for great healthy pictures on my fitness page. I will never stop going to the couch tomato.

I always enjoy whatever I get at the cafe or the bistro. I especially like the lunch options. The food is fresh, healthy and there's always something interesting to choose from. There are some nice cocktails as well. I come a few times a year and it's always a good experience. Will be back for sure! I've also had the catering at work a few times and it's great and they always provide extra focaccia :)

We found this gem of a restaurant on Trip Advisor and Yelp. The reviews were wonderful and a real plus:they offer valet parking. It was the perfect half way spot to meet a friend from NJ for lunch. We both enjoyed our meals very much. I had the soup and salad. They were both outstanding. My friend had the lobster sandwich and salad. We were warmly greated and the service was excellent. It’s a must visit. You won’t be disappointed!

Even after my first visit, the Couch Tomato was automatically added to my list of favorites! They have a great atmosphere and a variety of menu options that are all delicious. I got the pesto pasta, which was incredible, and my friends got pizzas and burgers. Everyone loved their meal and we can't wait to go back!
