Great Irish Fare

By Frank C |

Scottish Eggs and Rueben appetizers, best. Great selection of Beers. Sports Bar feel, yet give you that Irish feeling. Mike S, our server , was great, helped with selection of Beers and food. Place was pretty busy for off time and day. Favorite for Locals, also. Area was clean, enjoyed all the wood work and "Bar" decorations. Televisions throughout, also, for Sports or Golf. Friendly People!

Great place for a beer and happy hour bites

By Neil G |

I was welcomed warmly and told to seat myself, so I did at a table with a view of 3 tv screens. Ordered off the happy hour menu - a Killian red and an appetizer- corned beef and cabbage presented like an egg role. Excellent finger food

Worth a wee crafty visit

By Ryan J |

Called in for a pint of Guinness which turned out to be pretty decent, especially compared to some of the others we had in the states. Not sure I’d try any of the blended beer options. Nice atmosphere and plenty of choice for drinks. It wasn’t very busy but apparently it gets busier as the kitchen stays open late. Food wise we only had chips (fries) as we’d already eaten but they were pretty good! Barman (Vince?) was good craic. Would I recommend? Yes, it’s worth a visit if in Dallas. Would I go again? Yea.

Delicious meal

By Bethagee |

We had a great meal and some tasty beers as well. I ordered the shepherds pie and Irish bred pudding. So very very tasty!! They also had a good beer selection.

Great wings and burgers

By TexasGirl1869 |

This place was recommended to us by our shuttle driver from our hotel. The wings are excellent! We also ordered burgers. The place was reserved on the inside so we sat on the patio. The view was nice, unfortunately, I'm not to keen on dogs sitting near me while I eat. The place is dog friendly for people with pets. The bangers and mash are also excellent. Pricing is not that bad!

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!

By Janet v |

Such an awesome Irish pub!!! It has all the charm, warmth and ambiance one would expect without the old, ragged feel some pubs have. This place is crisp and clean! We had the Irish stew, which is apparently a winter special. It was superb to say the least. The server was also really friendly and helpful.

Great happy hour specials!

By Tony G |

Very small "pub" with inside and outside seating. If you want a Scotch, bourbon, or whiskey, they have a fantastic selection. Beer is great, too, especially during happy hour. Service was quick. Great vibe if you're from a smaller town.

I drank the beer

By skyhook41 |

I stopped by for a wee bit of beef mid afternoon. Didn't eat there but the food I saw served look fabulous. They have hot wings too and the beer was cold

Good Dallas bar

By Leandro S |

Good bar, located in downtown dallas, good amount of beer at affordable price, wine too! The wings were good too, fun spot to watch a game

Good times!

By Jonathan’s |

This is a wonderful little place to sit and have a drink. Frank will take care of you. It’s fun to visit and make new friends.

Great Pub in Downtown

By tenisheat2016 |

This a a great spot in an old historic building in Downtown Dallas. They have a great happy hour menu with drink specials. The food and service is great.

Very good & tasty

By tmitch6 |

Excellent service. Friendly staff. The burger was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Great stop for beer and a bite to eat. Great 80s music selection. It was my go to place for eating in and take out a second night. Recommend.

Early evening meal

By Katie B |

Just arrived in Dallas, after long journey, and wanted somewhere within close walking distance of hotel. The Crafty Irishman fitted the bill. Small by American standards, but, any bigger would detract from the superb atmosphere within the pub. Varied selection food on menu. Service was good and efficient.

Cool place

By Sandra Z |

Visited this Irish Pub in downtown Dallas on Sunday night. It's a really cool place with a very good drinks selection. They have a great beer & whiskey deal for $8. Haven't tried the food so can't say anything about that. I would return in the future.

Great food and beer!

By drurybunch |

Best egg salad sandwich I have ever had. Will definitely visit again when in Dallas. Does get very loud however because it is open

Nice atmosphere, good service, beer and food

By Sky_Trekkies |

Visited The Crafty Irishman afterwork by myself. I was allowed to pick my own table. The service was prompt and courteous. Ordered the Drunken Mussels (on the Happy Hours menu) and The Irish Lamb Stew. Highly recommend these two dishes! Check out their Happy Hours menu on the table!

Fun and Delicious!

By Diane G |

We didn't know we liked Irish food until we went to the Crafty Irishman, when visiting from Austin. The Dublin Coddle (a stew) and the cabbage-wrapped eggrolls were delicious. Plus our waiter was super friendly and efficient. It was definitely a good find!

Good food but loud as hell

By bradwQ8517VI |

I went here for dinner the one night I was in Dallas recently. It was very quaint and I liked it, very crowded though and loud as hell. If you're looking for a little more quiet, I would suggest sitting outdoors. The food was good and the beer was ice cold. Definitely will be back.

Great Irish pub and grub

By Laurie_jayne1 |

Stopped in here for a late lunch with my husband and it was very enjoyable. He had the emerald old fashioned and I had the gun powder cocktail which is like a sweet gin and tonic. We tried the drunken mussels to start which were so good! They are served with a crunchy bread to dip ina sauce that was so good my husband asked for a spoon to eat it like a soup! Then he had the BLTS sandwich which he ready enjoyed and I had the Castletown sandwich which is corned beef served on a pretzel bun and it was great. Of course my hubby had to have a guiness before we left which we both shared and enjoyed. Would definately recommend a stop by.

Great Irish food

By drlisas |

On a damp, cloudy Saturday afternoon, we popped in for a late lunch at the advice of the valet at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Only a block from our hotel, we were treated to two ample portions of delicious, hearty, comfort food. I had a bowl of steaming hot Irish stew which was full of tender chunks of lamb, and my very picky-eater friend had the fish and chips. Based on her empty basket a few minutes later, it was delicious. The valet was right, this is a great place to catch a football game and have a reasonably priced meal.

Terrific Irish Breakfast

By tartan3673 |

Stopped by for breakfast at dinner time and enjoyed every bite. Had the full Irish Breakfast and it was tasty. Finished up with some of the best tasting bread pudding I have ever had and a big cup of coffee. Service was good and the price is fair for the meals offered. I sat outside in the patio area and enjoyed the excellent weather and blue sky while sipping a solid ale.

Best Fish & Chips in years !!!!!

By clopezs |

The BEST Fish & Chips I’ve had in years !!!! An my Guinness was above expectations !!!! Wow, wow, wowwwwww !!! I’m so happy I trusted (once more) Trip Advisor. If you’re in Downtown Dallas do not miss this tiny place !!!! Fantastic !!!!

Downtown Irish bar

By SpongeKA |

We stopped in for dinner/drinks later in the night and overall it was a positive experience. I would come back, but i'm not sure it was great enough to come here over anything else in the area. A single plate of nachos was enough to fill both me and my wife up, so we ended up with just that and a few drinks. The nachos were great, imagine them loaded down with every topping available, but with kettle chips instead of tortilla chips so they held their crunch. The service was just kind of okay. We never really went wanting for anything, but our server just wasn't overly friendly and seemed like he didn't want to be there.

Fun Place

By Maria C |

We really enjoyed our time at the Crafty Irishman. Our server, Whitney, was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the Corned Beef, Irish Stew, and Shepherd's Pie. The beer selection makes everyone happy.

Great Pub with awesome service!

By Kim H |

Stopped in here after receiving a recommendation from my hotel I was staying at in Downtown Dallas this week. Derek and another young man behind the bar were very friendly and gave great service! I ordered the Earl's Holiday and their food was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and will definitely be back next trip!

Give it a try

By kimhgb |

Good food. Great service! Richard served our whole group quickly and made excellent recommendations.

Good Irish Pub

By Pdemp1 |

The Crafty Irishman is a nice little place if you are looking for an Irish pub for the night. Great selection of whiskeys, scotch, and other liquors. And of course a wide beer selection. Food was great. The only downside is this place is small.

Got the craic

By js22222 |

On the ball service and great beer. Positive atmosphere. Awesome 80s soundtrack. We sat outside for the street feel. A big mug of WIN!

Warm Irish Welcome

By marcia1956 |

Found a warm welcome in this Irish Bar, especially from Tiffany, Britney, Derek Anna and Caleb! Called in for a drink one afternoon and liked it so much went back again and had lunch before we flew home. The food is great and so is the welcome you get in this great little bar! Would certainly recommend you give it a visit!

Good food, good service

By Loud1Canberra |

This place was recommended by a local as having a good kitchen. We were looking for something reasonably familiar after a long flight across the Pacific. The server was keen (it was her first week) and our drinks arrived quickly. The food was plentiful and tasty with the servings generous as is the American way. The Irish Nachos and Drunken Mussels did the trick and our hunger was ssated. The prices were reasonable.

great, easy restaurant

By Jim E |

hot food, cold beer and fast service. all that you could want from a new irish bar in a downtown area. I would recommend the sausage mac and cheese any day!

Great Reuben

By Angela H |

My husband would likely add one more star because he really enjoyed his Reuben and he has had a lot of Reubens. My shepherd’s pie was good but not the best I’ve had.

Purple hair waitress

By C9945JZwilliamc |

Food was good and came fast. The waitress needs to learn some people skills. Worst attitude I have ever seen in someone in the food industry.

Late lunch on Sunday

By lexntex |

My girl friends and I were in town for a conference and needed a late lunch and we stumbled on the Crafty Irishman. The food was amazing. I ordered the Monte Cristo which was on special it was perfectly cook and the flavor was great. We also order the Gaelic Mac and cheese it was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I am going back to get more before I leave Dallas! It’s a small place but fun to sit outside and spend a few hours on a lazy Sunday eating and drinking with friends.

Very cool place

By 942kristah |

We enjoyed this place. Stayed for almost 2 hours! Great beer selection and great food! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable!

Great Fish & Chips!

By Cathy G |

Excellent fish and chips and the best coleslaw I think I have ever had! Chandler was a great server. Highly recommend, only here for a visit, or I would go again!

Wow! New Favorite

By GeneseoSupremo |

Right around the corner from my hotel and in a great area for walking, I went to The Crafty a couple nights while in town this week. What a great menu! The Irish Stew was awesome. The Monte Christo, fish and chips and bacon wrapped wings were just some of the other great items. It’s comfortable inside with a good pub feel and has a great outdoor seating area. Large selection of whiskey, craft beer and the best Guinness in North Texas. (As Derrick says...). Great friendly staff too, can’t wait to go back.

Love this place

By Gail C |

This is a typical Irish bar, the staff were amazing, the food was good and the beers great. The best thing was this bar had a great atmosphere so much so I went back several times

Great Happy Hour on a Irish Pub

By Ron M |

If you want to enjoy great whisky on a Wednesday at 6pm for half of the price this is your place. Great service, good appetizers like Scotch eggs, cabbage rolls, and some good burgers options. Plenty of beers and of course nice Guinness if you are not a whisky / single malt fan. Walking distance from most downtown hotels, very nice atmosphere.

Nice friendly pub

By McHalesNavy |

Stopped in for a quick bite and stayed for a while. I had the Jameson burger with a fried egg and a couple of Guinness. It's always nice to drink at a place that knows how to pull a Guinness.

Good Spot for beer

By Fred918_Owasso |

Stopped in for a beer and some quick eats. Good place, friendly bartenders and food was tasty. Scotch eggs and HH nachos were good.

A great Irish Bar in Downtown Dallas!

By James Scott |

I was staying in downtown Dallas and happened to see this place as I was walking by. It was right after work and full of the typical after 5 PM crowd. It has a loud, happy vibe that is also expected when visiting an Irish Bar. The Bartenders were very friendly and liked to engage in some conversation to make me feel at home. I had a few appetizers and a few pints and walked away very satisfied.

Nice pub with a good selection of drinks

By St_Matty |

This was a nice pub to visit. Good choice of beers and the bartender was very good. Has seating outside if you want to but was a bit cold while we were there.

Post Fan Expo 2017 Experience

By Texican73 |

I was up in Dallas to attend the Fan Expo 2017 and ended up finding this pub in the downtown area. It's a small place, but the environment was very nice. Unfortunately it was a little busy and loud that Saturday evening but still it was a good stop for some dinner and a few beers. I had the Jameson Burger that night and it was a very good hamburger. I didn't get any appetizers but the selection of food on the menu sounded very good. I really hope to make another trip up to Dallas, so I can stop by this little place again. Also, the waitress Payton we had was super nice and made sure we were taken care of good that evening. A+ service

Nice Find

By Denise |

Great offers on food & drink before 7pm. Staff were really very friendly and helpful for selecting order. Enjoyable setting and tasteful food. Would return when back in Dallas..

The Frindliest Staff and Patrons Plus Great Food and Drink

By JRJ645 |

I was in town for a convention and decided to try several restaurants on main street. After a long day I walked into The crafty Irishman. There was one seat left at the bar and a tight squeeze, but everyone moved a little to make room for me. Almost immediately friendly patrons on each side of me struck up conversations. The next night I came in for more draft beer and a huge helping of Irish stew. I wished I found this place first, because of the several restaurants I tried this was the best.

Fantastic pub in Downtown

By Brandon S |

Amazing pub. Great cocktails, super friendly staff, and their burgers were really good. Like really good. Most Irish pubs do a great job, but this one is a notch above.

Fun place!

By Kristi R |

Staff was really cool! Beer selection is great. Mussels were delicious! The atmosphere is great, a lot of friendly patrons.

Great food

By Greg P |

I was in Dallas on business and stopped in for an early dinner. I order the Castletown sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The wait staff is very friendly and quick with a smile. I have been back and enjoyed a burger and their homemade brown bread ice cream is amazing. I would recommend The Crafty Irishman if in Dallas.

Cool local Irish Pub!

By Slick12 |

Great place for conversation and good drinks. Good service and would stop by again when visiting Dallas!

Good Food

By gman0119 |

First time there, so not sure what to expect. We got a Drunken Mussel entree and a Dublin Double Burger. Tried the Scotch Egg appetizer. Egg was great, Mussels were very good. Burger was good, but they didn't cook the egg on it very long, and when I picked the burger up, yolk spewed out onto my shirt and in my lap. The burger was also so thick, with 2 meat patties, the egg and other things, that I couldn't bite it, so I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Meat was under seasoned, but still pretty good. Kind of expensive. $16.50 for the burger and $16 for the mussels.

Wide selection of beer and Irish Whiskey

By MCH |

If your looking for drink and some good pub fare in downtown Dallas, I recommend a stop a The Crafty Irishman. My family of five had a late lunch here after a visit to the Dallas World Aquarium. I had the corned beef stack, which I thought was amazing. My wife had a sandwich, which she enjoyed. My oldest child went for the double hamburger with a scotch egg, and was well pleased. The middle child went for Irish Nachos. He didn't enjoy them, but everyone else at the table did. My picky child did not like her chicken strips, but she is very hard to please. The atmosphere was enjoyable. The whiskey selection is incredible, and they had a pretty good selection of beers on tap as well.

Sooooo good

By HTJ312 |

Stopped in for a pint of Guinness and fish and chips. So effing good. The portion was huge and the Guinness as good as what I’ve had in Ireland, and that’s a feat in and of itself!! Atmosphere is great. Really enjoyed just sitting back and drinking my pint. My server was super chill and very attentive. Would HIGHLY recommend if you’re in Dallas.

Good

By 232tmg |

Who doesn't love a good Irish Pub and especially one with an outdoor patio? I thought we found a gem, but nothing about this cool little pub stands out above the others. The patio was great, unfortunately the service was not so great! We all like the fresh air, but if you don't want a dry glass, park your ass at the bar. I made the mistake of wandering off the beaten path and attempting to try the Black Velvet, obviously this is exactly what it says on the menu, Guiness + Champagne. I can only imagine there is some sort of cool backstory to its creation, at least I hope so! I would not call this a blended beer; it is a mixed drink and not a good one! The spicy cheese curds are great and do yourself a favor, use the ranch dressing, these are spicy little cheese curds. The burgers are great, you can't go wrong with a burger here, unless you're looking for something medium rare. Cheers!

Great Irish Establishment!

By rltaylor |

What a great find! We were thrilled to find this gem. The food was absolutely delicious and our server, Jessica, was such a a delight. She knew the menu very well and was very helpful.

Worth a visit

By Geno of Brisbane |

Staff were great and food reasonably priced. Hits the spot. Plenty of options in this part of Dallas. Love it

Excellent food, extraordinary service.

By Jennb5500 |

The Scotch Eggs were fabulous. The fish and chips really good. The pub curry was not to my personal taste but that was an ordering mistake and the staff was quick to rectify the issue. Amazingly friendly atmosphere. A whiskey and beer menu to satisfy any palate. Amazing place with an exceptional staff. Love it.

Great Food and Fun

By Craig C |

We loved the food. Scotch egg and drowned mussels. Our server was outstanding! Our table was a little wobbly, she noticed and leveled it before we said a word. Best happy hour in down town Dallas.

A MUST when visiting downtown.

By 1tpro |

A MUST when visiting downtown. Great drinks & good food. It’s our first destination every trip to Dallas. Last trip we had Houston as our bartender and he was great. Ask for him if you stop by, he’s got great Irish whiskey & scotch recommendations. They always know their menu. You will never regret going!

An amazing find down the road

By crazybocrazy |

An amazing find down the road from my hotel. I only wish I had a bigger party to try food off of everyone’s plate. (Yes I am that friend) I chose the fish and chips and it was the biggest piece of cod I have ever seen in one piece. Great service great food and they played great music!

Excellent Place!

By Kayleigh Johnson |

Wonderful place! We were in Dallas for our honeymoon and were staying nearby. We decided to drop by on our first night there and loved it so much that we went back two more nights! Delicious food, fantastic service, and great drinks. The Manhattan Project Irishman Red Ale is a must-have if you like beer... and maybe even if you don't. This will be our go-to place any time we're in Dallas.

Very crowded on St. Patrick's day

By Beth |

There were people everywhere waiting for a seat. When we got ours we ordered Fish and Chips and a Reuben on a Pretzel bun. It was great. The atmosphere was great and the manager kept the waitresses hopping. For a small pub, it was crazy busy.

Great place to have a beer in downtown Dallas

By Kevin M |

Great for lunch and happy hour. Excellent beer and whiskey selection/prices. Great grilled cheese and the fish & chips. Comfortable atmosphere with attentive service.

Opens late, great service, great food

By Eric P |

This place has decent price for food and drink. Service is super friendly and tentative. I like it so much that kept coming back during my week long stay in Dallas.

Everything an US Irish bar should be

By bluechippm |

Lovely location in central Dallas. We attended on a busy evening without a reservation but were shown quickly to a vacant table. Nice buzz about the place with plenty of sports shown on the TVs. Service was quick an pleasant and food and drink very nice. Try the Scotch Eggs to start as a sharer and then the Corned Beef or Chicken Curry with rice and chips LOVELY👍

best restaurant in dallas

By nancy harlan |

this is a 5 star , best restaurant in Dallas, the Staff is friendly , the food is amazing, even live Irish music! the Guinness is poured per Irish regulations. It does not get much better than this!

Nice pub

By Michele L |

Small but fun. Typical pub feel. Small bar. Several choices for seating. Good selection of bar food. Had beer and a pretzel. Two pretzels served with beer cheese and spicy mustard. Warm - good texture and flavor. Friendly service. Tastings offered. Only drawback - single seater for restroom. Can be a wait. Not good when drinking beer. 🤪

Great Public House Right in the Middle of Dallas

By Deborah G |

I stopped by The Crafty Irishman for lunch on the recommendation of one of the valets at the Hotel Indigo. I am so glad that I did. From the moment I sat down at the bar I was treated like a local. The bartender, Maria, helped me decide on the fish and chips for my meal and poured a perfect Black and Tan. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and cheery. My only wish is that I had had more time to spend here. The food and drink specials looked great. I will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem.

The Mussels were outstanding!

By danielle r |

Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink. Bar was very cute and stylish. We shared the Mussels.. They were amazing! Prices were reasonable and drinks were good.

Amazing Comfort Food, Great Bar Service

By Randi L |

Love when food is made to order per request! Wonderful menu and Michaela ROCKED our Service! Beautiful Bar with Great drink cominations. Happy Hour 2-7p

Happy Hour

By Graeme017 |

Went at 3.00pm for HH and we sat inside. The drinks menu for HH is fairly limited unfortunately,I went with the Irish red beer and my wife had a chardonnay. What was nice was the food on offer, the cabbage rolls and boneless wings were very tasty. My wife switched to a margarita and it was so weak you'd think it was alcohol free and tried the Irish mule and it was not good either. So hamstrung by this HH list we both returned to beer and wine next. Once again the food saved the day with super tasty Irish nachos.

Just like Dublin

By Traveler5957 |

We came into town for a convention and The Crafty Irishman was recommended by our hotel staff. We travel to Ireland/N. Ireland every year or so.....the food we had at this restaurant was spot on. Splurge and get the bread pudding....warm and tasty. Their staff were friendly and took their time with you. No rushing at all. We’ll probably hit this place again before we leave town.

Dinner and Drinks Stop

By Mhargo |

I was staying downtown and saw them on trip decided to check them out. Always looking for a good pint when I'm on the road and hopefully a well made fish & chips. Thankfully I found both @ The Crafty. Visited on a Tuesday night and they were consistently busy with full tables outside and in. One knock, the bar is small. Traveling alone, I prefer the bar and it was cramped quarters. Seats maybe 6. Staff was great, attentive and pleasant. All while getting slammed, not easy to pull off. From what I learned they're new in town and the location has seen a few swing and misses, hope they stick. They should. Would recommend, and return.

Sorry, never again

By David C |

Ok, you can see from my other posted reviews, I am a fairly generous giver of 3,4,5 stars, and I think this is my first 1 star rating. But, in Dallas, this was just plain Awful. I ordered the fish and chips, which - let’s be serious - if an Irish pub can’t make this they should hang it up. I’ve ordered this throughout Ireland, England, NYC, and numerous other Irish branded pubs. Perhaps it was just a very bad night, but I swear both the fish and the chips were the generic grocery store frozen package fare - AND undercooked. Wow, I don’t send meals back, but in hindsight I should have. Yes, they are Irish, the Guinness was perfect. Just stick to liquid refreshment. Sorry, maybe you’ll have better luck and the this particular night the chef, manager and owner all called out sick, and you can ignore this this review as a one off.

Comfy spot for a late night drink

By divefan |

The bar at hotel was closed, so we went here for a night cap. Friendly service, good drinks, and not too loud.

A bit like tv programme Restaurant Stakeout

By Huddersfield40 |

Went here for a few drinks and a bite to eat whilst staying in Dallas. Food was ok but the service of the 2 waitresses was shocking. One waitress was folding cutlery into napkins whilst on her phone, our waitress told us she only got paid $2 per hour and she would be better off getting pregnant, all the time she was talking to us she was looking at herself and adjusting her hair in the mirror at the end of the table!! My suggestion would be to avoid telling your customers this info, start working a bit harder and work your way up to promotion like most of us hard workers out there!!!!

Authentic

By ray b |

Excellent selection of beer and spirits. Friendly staff. Looks like a real Irish pub. Snug. Food available. Server kept me topped up with water as I was perspiring a tad.

Nice little patio

By roseraeann |

Great place to sit on the patio and enjoy some drinks. Wait staff was attentive, drinks were yummy and bathroom was clean.

Wonderful experience!

By Cathy B |

After flying from Connecticut, my husband and I didn't want a fancy lunch. Just something tasty and filling. This place hit the spot. It's not a large place but definitely has the vibe of a Irish pub. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food really good. We had spicy cheese curds (unbelievable) along with chicken wings (bone in and boneless). The servings were generous. The chicken tenders moist and HUGE! My husband devoured his chicken wings are rated them top notch. I bet this place would be fun on a Saturday night.

When Irish Eyes are Smiling

By avgjoey |

Great Place to eat in downtown Dallas. Uncle Jack's Shepherd Pie was great and came with salad and bread. An original dessert HOMEMADE BROWN BREAD ICE CREAM was different but was very good. Service was fantastic! Prices are more than reasonable. Great environment, typical pub!

Good Irish Pub

By DecoWorldTraveler |

Loved it! Reminds me of Dublin drinking black and tan. The Guinness was excellent! Good was yummy as well - the fish and chips and wings! Good friendly service! Cozy and fun chill place!

Wonderful

By Tigaudi |

Great selection of beers and whiskey's. We stopped here several times for a night cap as it was low key and quiet. Easy to chat while enjoying a pint and a nice whiskey. Didn't try the food, but it looked wonderful!

Great music, drinks and food!

By TravelingEGH |

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and tasty drink after a long day at a conference. My colleague and I sat at the bar. We were greeted by a witty bartender. I selected a pear cider that did not disappoint. We enjoyed listening to live music while we waited for our food. The crab dip did not disappoint and my colleague enjoyed the fish and chips. Stop by on a Monday if you can as the fish and chips are buy one get one free!

Great food

By Chucknldn |

My wife and I were here for lunch killing time to get into our BnB. Food was great, service was excellent. Our lunch was so good we went back for supper with a sales rep and was also great. The Shepard’s Pie is very good.

Great Irish Food in Downtown Dallas

By TimG1754 |

While staying in the downtown area I chose this restaurant for a quick and easy dining option.....and it didn’t disappoint in the least!! The wait staff is very solid and the menu is diverse enough to give you plenty of choices. I had the “Traditional Corned Beef”entree dish; and, while it was a little bit over cooked, it was very tasty.....and a great portion to boot!! You cannot go wrong with this dining choice

Not Really That Good or Bad

By GrooviGirl |

Service was iffy, food was iffy, sat outside. Basically just not so much. We went here because it was pretty much the only thing open.

Great short stop

By Mark S |

Fortunately they were open on memorial night for a quick fish and chip dinner. Great that they have Guinness on tap. Fun lively vibe. Overall the fish and chips was good but not great but the service made up for it as well as the Guinness.

Good Stuff

By WarwickTraveler29 |

Great food great drink what’s not to like? Go at happy hour and get the boneless chicken treats with buffalo sauce celery carrots bleu cheese Have a Guinness or glass of French wine Cheers!

Whisky fans rejoice!

By janers512 |

This place is excellent. Good vibe, good food and drinks and the bartenders are super friendly. Come for Whiskey Wednesdays, you'll get half off any whiskey over $10 a shot! Totally worth it

Try "The Quiet Man"

By Ventura Hwy |

We weren't disappointed. In fact, we were delighted that for our visit (evening, May 24, 2019), the pub was relatively uncrowded. The fellow who served us was knowledgeable, and recommended "The Quiet Man" when we asked for Irish Whiskey suggestions. (We also asked for a peaty Irish Whiskey, which delivered...as much as one can without really competing with Laphroaig 10-year.) Delighted with "The Quiet Man" recommendation - and enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere.

Dallas Gem

By frank t |

Little irish gem in down town Dallas. Huge range of whiskey and good beers on tap. Food menu pleased very much and was so delicious I’d have the corned beef and cabbage rolls every time. Thank you also Chelsea and Hayleigh for waiting on us all day.

Everything is 5 star

By Melony B |

Everything about this place is 5 star. Tommy and Austin were the best bartenders. The food was all made from scratch. We had several different things from the menu throughout the night. We started with corned beef and cabbage rolls. AMAZING!!!! Then we had a pretzel. Super good with a couple of different dipping sauces. Then we had fish and chips. Very traditional Irish dish. Fish was fried perfectly. Not greasy. Finished the night with the most delish brown bread ice cream. OMGOODNESS. This was the best thing ever. It's a MUST if you go. Next the drinks. Well they didn't disappoint at all. Tommy and Austin were so fun recommending great drink options.

Great find on the streets of downtown Dallas

By c0ltrace |

Found this Irish bar while walking around the streets of Downtown Dallas. What a find! Great Irish themed food, friendly service and good beer. I only have good things to say about this pub, A must if you are in Downtown looking for food. I dined there 3 times in my weeks stay. First Class!

Awesome

By Christy D |

Awesome place. We ended up coming here twice during our visit. The first was for happy hour and appetizers. Derek took great care of us. Our second visit was for dinner. The Cashel burger and Fish and Chips were delicious. Cheese curds were delicious as well. Ashley took good care of us even though she was super busy. Great place.

Great place!!!

Great please for a few pints of Guinness and some bar food , scotch eggs is a good choice for appetizers . Food is ok It's bar food , but the good rating is for the beer and the service . Burgers looked good.

Good food, fun atmosphere

A fun pub, with good food, and excellent service. We were there during Happy Hour, and so enjoyed a discount on drinks and some food items.

First stop on a dowtown bar hop

By BWK62 |

In town for a meeting at the Comerica building and noticed the bar. Stopped in for a bit, had a couple of drinks and took advantage of the happy hour app specials. Ended up hanging out for a while waiting for a friend. Adam and Jimmy did a great job suggesting food and beers (the Community IPA was great). Will definitely stop in again on my next trip to Dallas.

great bar ,great food.

By paul194194 |

Just the bar you need for a exceptional welcome and great food, especially the full Irish breakfast . A pint or two of Guinness there will also make the occasion !

Great spot for drinks

By babyboy7 |

My son and I sat in here for two hours Thursday evening. I drank three different really enjoyable stouts. My son drink a few local beers. He enjoyed them as well. We didn’t eat, just drank. The bartender was top notch, a real pleasure to talk to and helped when we weren’t familiar with a particular beer. Highly recommend this place.

Awful fish & chips for an Irish pub!

By Mom808 |

For an Irish pub they have horrible fish & chips. The fish batter was almost burnt & the French fries were very soggy. The tartar sauce tasted odd, maybe fruity or some other flavor. Service was very slow, but it wasn’t the fault of the nice servers. They were working extremely hard because the pub was short staffed. I’d give them 5 stars for the servers being friendly and hustling, but the food was so bad it deserved only one star. One of the employees at our hotel highly recommended the Crafty Irishman - she must go there for the beer. We should have eaten at the Rodeo Bar at the Adolphus Hotel again because the food was VERY good there!

Great little late night stop

By TheaTX |

Stopped in here after a great meal at a steakhouse downtown. Great prices and great service. The Irish bar atmosphere was homey and comfortable, and they were very accomadating with "virgin" drinks for my 16 year old.

Excellent

By dhalifax |

Service - superb Food - amazing. especially the burgers which were huge and reasonably priced Vibe - Excellent Overall - go there. it is great.

Crazy good

By Boo913 |

I had my first Scott egg and it was eggcellent! The fish and chips best I’ve ever tasted! The ale was tasty and topped it all off! Very enjoyable time!

Great place - dont pass up on it!

By jimbH4916WB |

First night in Dallas after long haul flight. wanted a nearby relaxed place meal. Hotel recommended The Crafty Irishman. A couple of hundred yards walk. What a gem! Great place . nice & relaxed staff. Good beer & good food. The place is quite small & can be noisy but that all adds to the atmosphere!

Good bar fare

By BobC1510 |

Ate several nights at the Crafty Irishman while in Dallas. Great service and good food. Recommend the bangers and mash and fish and chips. All really well done. Great bar.

World Cup Food n Excitement

By Christ C |

Got there for a late lunch just in time for Happy Hour (food & drink) and second half of England vs. Croatia. Atmosphere was spectacular, and do was the Drunken Mussels dish.

Great bunch of people

By MrStogy |

Had to visit an Irish bar, they did not disappoint. The bartender and gang took a group photo to send back to Bushmill Northern Ireland ( Bush house) friends! Food was very good.

Great character, friendly staff and barman

By AlcesterMartyn |

We only ate the Irish Nachos ( potato chips instead of nachos) but found them excellent as an appetiser with a flight of 4 draught IPA's. A great place to try local draught beers...I recommend the Mosaic.

Best meal of the week

By Diane W |

Unfortunately we eat at this bar on the last night of our holiday, it was the best food we had eaten all week. We sat outside on a very hot evening. The food was excellent, Shane our server was very friendly and efficient, we had excellent service. Definitely worth a visit.

Great Happy Hour

By serwin99 |

Stopped in on s Friday afternoon before heading to a concert. Happy Hour specials were awesome. Had the duck wings which were great and a first for me. Also tried the Shepherds pie with kettle chips. One of the best I have had. Waiter was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back

Server was great. Owner was nor

By Laura N |

We came here tonight for a girls night. Our server Matthew was awesome. Engaging, fun and go with the flow. Alan (owner?) was not so much. We were ridiculed for our drink choice. And publicity humiliated when a water spilled. Food was good but overall very disappointed. Sad because this was a cute place with good food and an engaging atmosphere

Friendly bunch eh! Good pub.

By Kurtis J. Samchee |

Friendly bunch eh! Good pub vibes for late night divers. We came for the food and it superseded exceptions within the realm of late-night food options. May the roof above us never fall in, and may we friends beneath it never fall out! Arrr!

Best value in town!

By tawonda83 |

A seriously unique menu to choose from, plenty of beverage options, and my meal (drink included) was less than twenty bucks! Loved the atmosphere and the service. If I ever travel back to Dallas, I will definitely come back here!

Would Not Go Back

By Carolynne M |

Food and service were okay; would not go back. Burger bun was either stale or over-done, gave up trying to eat it.

On point!

By McGoo8 |

We were scouting around for somewhere to eat and drink in downtown Dallas. We choose this place because it was appealing from the street and I'm glad we did! The service was prompt and informative (there was a wide selection of craft and imported beers) and the whole place had a nice cosy, relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the warm pretzel with cheese dipping sauce and hubby ordered the hamburger. All food was delicious, quickly gobbled up and washed down with a bevy. A fab way to wind down after a day of sightseeing. Recommended!

Surprisingly Great

By einzweidrei |

We went here because it had decent reviews and it was close to our hotel. The food actually ended up being great and our server was great too. I even liked the different kind of pretzels they had as an appetizer. Interesting dishes the are surprisingly good at an Irish pub!

Awesome Irish Pub

By jdog99 |

Great food, cool vibe and good drink. Also pretty good service too. What more could you want? Nothing is the answer!

Road trip stopover

By Lorna M |

The service was wonderful, the staff were efficient and friendly. The fish and chips were the best I’ve ever eaten! My husband agreed.

Great pub in the heart of downtown Dallas

By John |

Was in Dallas for a wedding and visited twice with a group of 10. Very good food and great choice of drinks, all at sensible prices. Staff very attentive and helpful. Show many different sports, we watched the F1 Grand Prix from Austin. A must if you are in the area.

Nice Pub with good selection of beers

By STMoly |

Irish pub which opens from 3 pm to 2 pm. Pretty small but nice and friendly place. Very good selection of beers. Food usual American fare with Irish offerings. Wings excellent as was the shepherd's pie. Service reasonable. Worth visiting and I would go back again.

No Thanks!

By Pedro P |

Less than stellar service (to be generous). Noisy, low-class crowd. I guess this is what passes for an authentic pub and may well suffice based on your desires and expectations. If my wife and I and another couple were to dine before catching a show at the Majestic some evening, this would NOT be on our short list of potential places to go.

Amazing good food - nice atmosphere

By 898frank |

I visited this Irish pub twice while visiting a conference in Dallas. I am usually a bit wary of 'original Irish food' in an American pub, but this was the exception to what you often get. I had both the fish and chips and an Irish stew and they were excellent. Also a very nice selection of draft beers, including red ale. It can get busy here and there is a reason for that. The service is professional and friendly.

Nice Irish pub!

By maxpaste |

This is a great bar that we visited for a snack and drink. They have some seating along the street which we nice. Drink and food menu was good!

Good Food average prices

By edestrada2016 |

Group of six came in for a drink and appetizer. We had six drinks (4 craft drafts, 1 wine, & 1 mix drink) and 2 appitizers. The bill with tip was $83... which I think is about average during happy hour. Food was good (fried avocado & artichoke dip) but not enough baguettes. Just average experience for me and too high a price for the experience.

Great little Irish Pub

By TrustedAgent |

Great little find - awesome Irish themed food and drink. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my meal. The menu is comprehensive and there are plenty of beer and drink selections. Food was delicious and served promptly.

Food was excellant but

By Sasnak6 |

Food was excellant but it was packed, and the heaters were not on outside we got one working and sat outside after 2 young men were very rude and demand a table that a disabled vet wanted to sit inside then they didn't order but the server was great and the food was hot

Good Local Pub

By tadjr |

I stopped in here on Mardi Gras, otherwise known as Tuesday, when I was in Dallas for a meeting. It was rather busy and I was advised to sit wherever I wanted. I was greeted a few minutes later with a menu and a drink order. I decided to try the Shepherds Pie that came with a house salad and brown bread. It was very good with a little spicy kick. The meal was very large for the price and I think it was a good value.

great nights out

By smithy69uk |

was in the crafty a few times on recent trip to dallas atmosphere was friendly and staff very efficient was drinking pints harp at $7 a go had a burger there and was probably the best I had in quite some time...they also do a full breakfast there that looked excellent too nice friendly local crowd which was good as I was a solo traveller highly recommended and look forward to a few more pints there again

Darned Good Find!

By Jonathan R |

In Dallas for the first time and was recommended by the folks at the Residence Inn Marriott a few blocks away. Easy to find and it turned out to be a little tiny place, but what a cool spot! Great selection of beers and whiskey, scotches and bourbons and a super menu. Started with their great cheese board that had a selection of cheeses, meets and chutneys then made the "mistake" of also ordering grilled cheese sandwiches! Too much good food! We enjoyed it and hope to come back and be able to spend more time. Super service too. I wish I knew her name. She was exceptional. She was a young black girl and she took great care of us.

Good food

By Elizabeth N |

We went here for dinner whilst in Dallas. The food was very good, great atmosphere and all reasonably priced.

Double check your credit card!!

By Jessica F |

Beware of bartender who will write in a large tip for himself! I visited the crafty Irishman on January 22 for happy hour and we had three happy hour beers and the bartender wrote himself a nice big tip on our card. I have called and spoke to multiple people over the last month with each ensuring me they will refund me or call back the next day and I have never heard back. The first person even pulled my receipt and acknowledged that this happened and they would make sure this was handled with the bartender. Ultimately, I had to dispute the transaction with my credit card company since I never received my refund and I will not be returning to the crafty irishman. Please double check your credit card statement if you eat here!

Great food - walking distance from the Convention Center

By backgammom |

Both my friend and I order the corned beef sandwich on a pretzel bun: mine with cabbage and mustard; hers with cheese and 1000 island; both were incredibly yummy sandwiches. I got the sweet potato fries and she got the regular ones: we agreed that the sweet potato fries were better, but again both were good. The food was worth every penny. Nice decor and music too. Thank you for an end of an already wonderful day.
