Great Seafood Flavor

By Parrotplace33 |

I was somewhat a skeptic being from Louisiana but this place was amazing. More than worth the price. The fried oyster tacos are delicious and the combo boiled seafood platter was outstanding. I will bring customers back for dinner

Outstanding Gulf Seafood and More

By Robert P |

Looking for a place close to my hotel that I could walk to I happened upon The Crawfish Pot. As a solo I sat at the bar and did notice the place was almost full in the early afternoon. I felt right. I started with oysters on the half shell and then had boiled snow crab in a special house mix and it was delicious. People around me had boiled crayfish, boiled blue crab, boiled shrimp and a special mixture of all combined with corn and potato. I didn't notice that anyone ordered the fried menu items but if they are anything like the boiled it has to be good. They serve only beer which, for me, is a point off, but I did enjoy a beer with meal. Yes, they have take out. I took some gumbo and Cajun turkey neck back for a snack. Excellent. Great service and good prices.

Great Seafood in Houston

Everything I had to eat was cooked to perfection and taste great. The staff was just fantastic. I will definitely eat there again.

Awesome local spot

Like to get dirty while eating? This is the place and it's sooooo worth it. Service isn't the best but the food is.

Don't let the looks fool you!

Needed a place to eat dinner on our stop over before flying out of Hobby Airport in Houston. Right down the street from our Hotel. Ordered Po'boy crawfish. Excellent bread and great sauce. They added onion rings that were thin and light, excellent. If you need a place for lunch or dinner near Hobby Airport, don't forget about this place!

Awesome Cajun Seafood

By Jim B |

Tried the Snow Crab legs and they were awesome. Ordered the medium spice level and it was great!! The fried crawfish were a waste and the fried shrimp were nothing to write home about. Stick with the boiled stuff. Very good food and the staff was over accommodating. Hidden gem.

Get your cajun

Can't go wrong. Seafood in bag throw in some spices. Yummy. The service was good but seems a little disjointed. Prices are appropriate

Great family place.

By Tcook8 |

We went to this place on a Saturday night and it was great!! We first got two dozen raw oysters and they were great. We then ordered the special fried oysters, fried shrimp, catfish and crawfish. Place was a little noisy but that added to the energy. Our waitress was Abby. She is new but very accommodating.

Great!

I was here on business and wanted to try fresh crawfish (I'm from Utah so we don't get that there). We got the fresh oysters and crawfish and it all exceeded my expectations! I'm thinking about a trip to Houston again just to bring my wife to this place!!!

Saucey crawfish

By Trinh V |

I've come to a realization that, as for most restaurants that are "Asian owned" or in an Asian Market shopping center you're going to get mediocre service. Service is key when you're going out to eat but the real important topic is the food, am I right? Crawfish Pot and Oyster Bar is located off Gulf Frwy in the Hong Kong 5 supermarket shopping center. Parking is not an issue! The lot is quite large so you shouldn't have a problem parking. Me and my girls (3) went on a night where the Rockets were playing so it was BUSY. We had to wait about an hour because I'm not even sure if this place takes reservations. As soon as we sat down it took about 5-7 min for our server to come greet us. We had multiple servers walk by and didn't offer us waters or anything. We had to specifically wait for our server because no one else seemed to pay attention to us. When our server did arrive she was super kind. She tried to be attentive as she could be. It was a busy night I mean come on the Rockets killed GSW! If you want gloves the plastic clear ones are free and the blue nylon gloves are .50 cents for a pair. If you don't want to get your hands dirty and don't mind spending the .50 cents then I highly suggest getting the gloves. It doesn't seep through like the clear ones do. Food: -St Charles Oysters (3.5/5): They tasted like popcorn chicken to me. I am a huge fan of fries oysters but in my opinion I felt like these were too fried and super crunchy. If you aren't a fan of oysters, I would just try this because it truly doesn't taste like oysters. -Cajun Fries (4/5): Can't really mess up fries! Comes out hot! Doesn't really taste like Cajun fries to me though. -Garlic butter Crawfish 3 lbs (4/5): DELISH! I got the Hot and I do not regret it at all! The hot was just perfect. I wasn't wiping my nose every second but it was hot enough where I am still sniffling here and there. It does not come with corn or potatoes and you have to ask them to toss it in your crawfish because the corn and potatoes come out plain. Weird if you ask me because MOST places will toss your corn and potatoes in your crawfish batch. Great crawfish. Kind of small though

What a great find!

By waynenjanice T |

Great poor boys that came with onion straws and Cajun fries or sweet potato fries for $8.99. Good service and was close to our airport hotel.

Worst service ever! Don't go here!

By bamf37 |

The whole experience from the time I walked in to when I walked out was ridiculous. I wondered how they stay in business. As I watched group after group get up and leave because they were ignored, I wondered why I was still there. But the menu looked good so I was patient. I had ordered 3 beers and when I went to order my 4th I was lied to, and told they were out. Then when I choose another from their selection, then waitress then told me "you know that will be your fourth beer".(after I had 2 appetizers, and a pound of shrimp). I've never felt insulted like that before at a restaurant. I would have understood if I had maybe 5-6 beers. And keep in mind I'm not a small guy, and was eating the whole time. I then canceled my order and left. My best advice is just avoid this place. There has to be good seafood in the area without the hassle!

Oh So Good

By Dorothy D |

My husband loves seafood, so we were lucky to find this restaurant within walking distance of our hotel near Hobby Airport. He loves shrimp and I love oysters, so we ordered the Deux Platter. He got crawfish and shrimp and I got oysters and shrimp. OMG! It was probably Top 10 on our list of best meals ever. The onion strings - to die for, the sweet potato fries - perfect. And the shrimp were huge and sweet. My oysters were juicy and breaded to perfection. Wish I had been able to stuff dessert in because I’m sure it would have been just as good as everything else. Service was super fast and friendly. Wish I could go back tonight!

Best Crawfish around!

By Marlene M |

This place was recommended to us! Glad we went! It was the best crawfish ever! Their house sauce is awesome and gives crawfish and shrimp a really good flavor! Must try!!

A good pick

By ALLEN K |

We were seated right away and were impressed by the size of the shrimp at the table next to us. Menu consisted of local seafood sold by the pound, sandwiches and dinners. The food and service was very good. By the time we left the place was packed and people were waiting outside and this was a Wednesday evening.

Just go try it!

By Sapphirina |

I'm going to keep this short! Husband and I stayed at a nearby hotel and walked over fo this place for Crawfish Boil. So glad we did! All their sauces are delicious but you must try their house special!! We also had their garlic sauce and it was divine! Also ordered their salad, which was your average salad. Fried rice was a huge portion, so I recommend sharing. Service was uber friendly and they were patient with waiting for me to finish while they were closing up the restaurant. I didn't feel rushed at all. I loved this place. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Crawfish appeared very popular.

By H L |

We had just driven into Houston late this evening and tried to find something quick and reasonable near our hotel, but not fast food. We found this restaurant within a five minute drive from the hotel via TripAdvisor. The Mall looked very quiet at 8pm with every shop seemingly closed, but there were more than a dozen cars parked outside this restaurant and we decided to go in, even though it did not looked much from the outside. It was full inside, luckily no waiting for a table for two. Looking around, every table seemed to have customers enjoying bowls of crawfish or crabs. It did looked time consuming to have crawfish this night so we opt for the large seafood platter to share. The wait for our food was only ten minutes. Service was excellent. Our fried catfish, oysters, crawfish, shrimps and sweet potato fries, huge serving tasted very fresh and good. Price for our dinner was very reasonable and good value. We would visit this restaurant again if in the area.

Worth Every Minutes Wait Here!

By GotmyBagsReady |

Visited this restaurant during Spring Break. It was late and people where still waiting which normally is a good sign that it's worth ones time. I had read some reviews that stated that you can get turned away if it gets to late. We got ther abou 10:10 and where in jeopardy of this rule. Thankfully it was my Birthday and the young Gentleman Hostess was so sweet and accommodating to my Fiancé and myself. He said its your Birthday let me get you a seat at the Bar now; because someone was getting ready to leave. So didn't have to wait at all. So this was our 1st time here since we live in Fort Worth. We has the hungry platter I think it's called. Never less we were blown away with how fresh and delicious all of seafood was with the recommended "House Sauce" I cannot wait to go back to Houston just so I can go back to this Restaurant. I enjoyed my Birthday Meal.. Two thumbs up!

Great Crawfish!

By 144tinah |

We arrived at just the right time.. We did not have to wait long to get into the restaurant. Service was very slow.. Our food came but my grandbabies food wasn't showing up! We kept getting excuses. Finally everyone got their food. Food was excellent! We received 10% off entire check due to the mix up.

Good food excellent service

By Bob H |

From the outside its nothing special but once you open the door its a real surprise. a big oval bar and the whole place id bigger than you expect. I went twice in May and the food and service were great both times. I had oysters on the shell and they were fresh and shucked right at the bar, I also had Crawfish for the first time ever, they were good. Both times the place was busy and looked like everyone was having fun and no evidence of anyone being unhappy with food or service.

Good introduction to crawfish eating

By LariAnn |

If you've never had crawfish before, this is a good place to start. Be prepared to get a little messy as this is finger food work. If you don't want it too spicy, select garlic as your seasoning.

Auper Cajun-Asian fusion

By David R |

This is super Cajun-Asian fusion. Saints gear and Chinese lanterns for decor. So they have Cajun fried fish and shellfish, but also Cajun seafood fried rice, Cajun egg rolls. This time of year (Lent into May), the star is big stainless bowls of buds (crawfish) with traditional boiled corn and red potatoes. Rolls of brown paper toweling spindled on each table. And raw oysters, big ones, with cocktail sauce and horse radish sauce and lime. I had a half dozen followed by Cajun turkey neck (simmered in the crawfish boil till the meat almost falls off the neck bones, and served in a big bowl of the boil, a la . . . Vietnamese). So hot and tasty! The wait staff are young and professional and having fun. They are as diverse as the clients--Latinx, Asian, white, black, and mixed. It’s like the sauces on every table: Siracha, Tabasco, Couloula, and Heinz katsup. Love the food and the energy of this place. Also, try saying Cajun-asian fusion 10 times fast.

Misleading Name for Restaurant

By PamRoad |

This place should be called Hunan Garden and Seafood. The asian influence was very strong in the menu choices and food taste. Which is fine if you are going out for Asian cuisine. Not good if you want southern seafood. So the food rating would be poor based on expectations and taste. The restaurant setting is poor. The tables are too close together and the noise level is so high that conversation is almost impossible. The service is even worse than the food and the setting. Our waiter was not attentive, did not get our order correct and then had to be reminded to correct the bill. Not good. With all the great seafood restaurants in the Houston area, there is NO EXCUSE to ever go to this one.

Awsome

By Inspire720844 |

Best crawfish i'v ever eaten! Do try the house sause! We tried 5pounds of cajun first, then we got a taste of the house sause and got 15 pounds of that :D Really good! We will be back!

Horrible Management. Not worth the time

By Erica R |

The cajun crawfish was nasty, and when i told the manager he was so rude and refused to fix the situation.

An unexpected Treat

By Southern Sunshine |

We were staying in a hotel nearby. This restaurant was recommended by Tripadvisor, and deservedly so! Excellent steamed seafood, friendly staff, and a fun experience. It's crowded and chaotic, and my elderly parents, my kid, and I all had a great meal.

Better than I thought

By Maps260955 |

The Chicken & Sausage Gumbo was authentic & delicious! The Dos Platter was more than I thought. I chose catfish & shrimp. My catfish was SEA👏🏾SONED👏🏾. Those sweet chili wings were 🔥 🔥 I was lightweight upset that I had to share my order with my daughter. 🙃 Usually in Cali we have to almost beg for condiments AND pay extra. Not here!! I had tartar sauce, ketchup, ranch dressing and a side of rice. The only thing missing was hot sauce. 😅

Accident wonderful find

By DC5SWA |

This place was an absolute wonderful find. On our way out the next morning for our vacation to Cozumel we needed to stay the night in Houston by Hobby Airport. Both tired and hungry we wanted something close ....this place did not disappoint, some of the best crawfish etc I’ve ever had. My husband was in love with the sauce on top of the boil , just wonderful. I definitely recommend.

GREAT Louisiana Seafood

By Vincent M |

You could argue that there are four distinct types of regional eateries in South Louisiana: Creole restaurants, Cajun restaurants, po'boy shops and seafood joints. They blend together of course. A classic Louisiana seafood joint is strong on the iconic boiled crawfish, along with boiled shrimp and crabs; and will have platters of fried oysters, shrimp, and catfish. Expect to find oyster, shrimp and catfish po'boys at them; but roast beef and gator sausage po'boys would be unexpected. Expect them to have a gumbo or two; if it's chicken-and-sausage gumbo, it may well be the only thing on the menu that doesn't have seafood in it, outside of deep-fried chicken wings. Do NOT expect to find upscale Creole seafood dishes such as crabmeat Sardou or oysters Rockefeller; odds are against them having even a shrimp Remoulade. Seafood joints aren't ritzy; they're down-to-earth, back-bayou, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-dig-right-in affairs. No table linen. No cloth napkins—probably a big roll of brown paper in the center of the table. And all that pretty much describes Houston's Crawfish Pot N Oyster Bar to a T. One cultural bit of trivia that Yankees, Californians and other such etrangers probably are unaware of, is that New Orleans has a very substantial Vietnamese population. Pre-Katrina, Vietnamese were easily the largest recent immigrant group in the Big Easy. There's another large Viet community in Houston, and a lot of personal interaction between those two communities. When it comes to seafood, Vietnamese definitely know their business, as do Cajuns. Fact is, because of their history and proximity to water, the Vietnamese and the Cajuns are probably the two populations that know MORE about both French cooking techniques AND seafood than anyone else on Earth. (Admittedly Marseilles fishermen do come in a close third). So it should not be surprising that a Vietnamese-American run Cajun seafood restaurant in Houston is VERY good indeed. (Actually, there are other good ones on the far west side of Houston, where the bulk of the VietnaTexese live). The fried food platters are quite authentic. You get to choose one, two, or three types of seafood on them, and they come with Cajun fries (or sweet potato fries) and very good fried shoestring onions (see photo). You can eat at the wrap-around bar or at a table—all indoors, no patio, but good AC. I liked this place so much that I returned twice in the next four days. I talked two business associates into trying it, one of them a Cajun who’s addicted to boiled crawfish—they each ordered a couple of pounds. You order by the pound, specify the heat level, etc. They loved ‘em. I took a pass. I’m old school—I eat crawfish in crawfish season, which is springtime, not October. We did ask how they happened to have any out of season. They swore that these had been captured in season and flash-frozen. I’ve bought frozen crawfish for etouffee; you can get it in any decent supermarket in south Louisiana, but it’s crawfish meat frozen after shelling. Didn’t know they also froze ‘em shell and all. Kind of reminds me of when a Colorado visitor to my cousin Boudreau in Bayou Teche made the unpardonably faux pas of asking Bou how he had got such fresh-tasting venison when deer season had ended months earlier. The Pot does have a vast amount of ice sitting behind the bar, stuffed with oysters and such, waiting patiently to be shucked (see photo). The usual suspect condiments—Tabasco sauce, shakers full of cayenne pepper, crackers—are all over, though they also have bottles of Mexican hot sauce as a tip o’ the hat to the neighborhood locals (see photo). Beer: what’s a classic South Louisiana crawfish joint without beer? Well, out of business probably. Here they’ve not only got beer, but they’ve got three different types on tap—and having any draft beer at a crawfish joint would make it exceptional. No Cajun Abita Amber and no Viet biere Saigon, but since you’re in Texas, one of the drafts is Shiner bock. Plus which, they’ve got plenty of good TVs scattered around, so this place is a good option if football’s on. I’d say, waste no time getting to the Crawfish Pot; it’s really good, and really authentic! To get there, head south on I-45 (assuming you’re starting from north of Hobby Airport), take the Airport-College off-ramp, but don’t go to either the airport or to college. Just stay on the southbound feeder road, cross Airport, go just past that gas station right on the corner, and turn right, into a gigantic parking lot—Hong Kong Market will be dead ahead on the far side of the lot, but your destination, the Crawfish Pot, will be the very first establishment on your right as you pull in. You can’t miss the sign (see photo). Another tip: if she’s working that night, try to get Huong as your waitress—not sure if that spelling’s right, but if she’s there, and you say “hung” they’ll know who you’re talking about. That’s another classic feature to a either a South Louisiana or a Vietnamese restaurant—really nice waitresses. Take no chances; ask for her by name! If any friendly waitress who’s over-age and over-weight says “oh, me Huong,” she’s trying to sucker you. She ain't Huong.

REALLY GOOD CAJIN FOOD.......BUT THE HARD DRIVING MUSIC WAS MUCH TOO LOUD!

By Bud B |

REALLY GOOD CAJIN FOOD.......BUT THE HARD DRIVING MUSIC WAS MUCH TOO LOUD! Again, the food was GREAT! My waitress was very good and paid attention. But the darned Disco or Night Club type music was MUCH TOO LOUD! The two young Managers were much more interested in impressing the waitress' than taking care of their customers!!

Very bad service!

By Nance |

Food was good but service was awful. Waited 20 min for our server to get out drinks. We got our crawfish before the beer. Waiter never checked on us, didn't even bring us the check. We went to the hostess and asked where could we pay? Not returning.

Good food

By Patrick S |

First time eating there, came down from Austin area to eat some good crab. good food spicy shrimp. Service was good. Will come back next time in Houston.

Asian Cajun

By NavyMike89 |

Stopped here for lunch while in Houston. I must say it was a very eclectic place. The menu has all the Cajun staples you would expect but they also have a mix of Asian dishes that you would get at a Chinese restaurant. That also makes for some very interesting combinations that I wanted to try. The portions were plenty. The food was very good and the cost was cheap. If you roll it all up it's a Asian Cajun Sportsbar. It was cool.

Good New Orleans style po'boys!

By dpez48 |

We stopped in on a Wednesday night, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, and there was a lot of it. Service was prompt and the servers were friendly. Most people were eating boiled seafood, but we opted for the po'boys, which were excellent. Recommended.

Great Seafood near Houston Hobby

By Joey |

Had the pleasure of dining here this evening. Appetizer of crab poppers. Entree of a Delicious fresh seafood platter -- deep fried and served with onion straws and Cajun fries. Good atmosphere and located near Houston Hobby. Excellent table service provided by Javier, a local student working his way through college.

Good food and good prices

By hubbs76 |

Was staying nearby for work and was craving seafood. This place hit the spot. The gumbo was average, but the crawfish were excellent. Beer selection was also reasonably priced. I'd go back.

If you Love Oysters on the half shell this is your kind of Place !!

By kerryleecook |

Family of 5 on Sat. @ 7 PM loved the food, not the service attendants !!!! There was no wait when we went but there was a line out the door @ 8:30 PM :( $5 doz oysters on the half shell were worth going. Some had St. Charles Fried Oysters and they were OK. Wife had fried Catfish and it was the best, after the raw oysters, of course. The waitress was great but the other staff were HORRIBLE. We asked 4 diff people if we could get some forks and finally had to go to the hostess and she provided. Really, support staff ???? How can customers eat Hot food w/out so come on Now !!!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, POORLY ORGANIZED

By abbydoe |

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Waited two hours outside the restaurant last night to be told we were next to be seated. As we waited patiently..time came around to 10:44PM- the host comes out and informs everyone waiting that they will no longer be taking any tables and if you want to place an order to go you could do so. THEN once going in to place order to-go to only be told the kitchen closed at 10:45PM and no more orders would be taken. How hard was it to make an announcement half an hour earlier at least to avoid wasting any more of customers time?! POOR SERVICE. NO COMMUNICATION. NOT ORGANIZED. NO HAND SOAP IN RESTROOMS, GROSS. ONLY DAMP NAPKINS TO DRY YOUR HANDS. WONT BE RETURNING.

The Name says it all!

By MikeSr1414 |

We stayed in Houston for 2 days and decided to try the Crawfish Pot for dinner. This will be mixed but I hope it helps. We had a party of 10 which posed a challenge to get set for, so we split into 2 groups and had back to back booths. Nobody in our group minded, we had a good time. Cris was our waitress, she did very good keeping up with us. The quality of the food was very good. I had the trio, which contained catfish, shrimp and crawfish. Taste and seasoning was very good. Catfish could have been better, the breading/coating was 3 times the size of the filet and soon as you touched it, fell off the filet. Not altogether bad, the filet itself still tasted good! Nobody else complained about their dinner. Here comes the bad, the kitchen is in total disarray and really brings a good experience bad. Although Cris took our order, someone from the kitchen delivers it, so appetizers went to wrong table. Dinner entrees did not all come at same time. My Uncle's entree was delivered as most of us finished ours, kitchen forgot to cook his. My suggestion, this place needs someone to work on Quality Control. The food tastes real good, but if it goes to wrong table or does not make it to the customer, what does it matter? Before You ask, no, this was not during an extreme busy time, there were still empty tables and nobody was waiting to be seated.

Good food

Good food. Nice variety. Staff service needs a little improvement but not too bad. Overall a good place.

Good Crawfish

By jordansbulls |

Went here the Sunday before Memorial Day and the crawfish was very good. It had good flavor and the service was good.

Crawfish are TOP Notch... Service is another story..

By Crawfish-mania |

Listen, there's a lot of good Vietnamese crawfish around town but closer to the south side, this is the best you are going to get. BUT BUT BUT come with a generous open mind about the staff. I don't know what it is but they are not very good. Not to be mean but the crawfish is so good that I try to tolerate the service. Those who frequent here will know exactly what I am talking about it's bizarre how bad the service really is, yet we come back because the crawfish...IS THAT GOOD! dammit...Management, spend time and really get some training with your staff and you will triple your income. Good GOD DO SOMETHING!!!! So if you want to enjoy, come KNOWING that your waitstaff is at best mediocre.

delicious seafood at an affordable price

By WNDenver2011 |

Stayed over night nearby hotel and saw the reviews for the bar....the food is excellent for the price....had 1 lb. of hugh cajun shrimp, blue crab, crab wontons , sausage and corn. They forgot to bring me the sausage and corn til I reminded them after I was done with the meal but that was not a big problem. The service was excellent....if overnighting by Houston Hobby Airport, give this place a try and you wont be dissapointed!

Seafood platter with house sauce. Great taste, big size, enough for 2-3 people (my size). Yummmo, the seafood fried rice is delicious too. Happy tummy

Absolutely delicious

By JerriAnnD |

Stayed one night at hotel near Houston-Hobby airport. This was one of the top rated restaurants nearby on TripAdvisor. Hubby and I ate 3 pounds of boiled crawfish with the house sauce (butter, Cajun, lemon and garlic). Wow!!! Perfectly cooked and beyond yummy. We also had an order of hot and crispy Cajun fries. With two beers, the total was $43!!! We sat at the counter. The place was packed on a Wednesday night at 8pm. Very casual atmosphere.

Wow!!!

By BuddSales |

Staying at Marriott nearby Hobby Airport. Crawfish Pot was a great find. Oysters, Crawfish, Gumbo... All very good and very reasonable. Service was very efficient and friendly. Not fancy, just very good! I'll go back every time nearby. In fact prices drop when Rockets tip off... Didn't tell them we are Mavs fans....

Very nice find, recommend you try.

By Gary S |

Just finished dinner here. I was quite pleased. Was served by Rebecca. She was really good. She was very nice and when we told her this was our first time, she went through the entire menu describing all the items. Asked about the crawfish that we saw was being served at many of the tables. Rebecca brought some over for us to sample and included a lesson on how to eat them. They were good but to much work for us to order. We had some appetizers including the cajun eggrolls, crab puffs, string onions and gumbo. Followed that with a dozen oysters on the half shell. All were excellent. Had some of the fried donuts (not sure what they were called) ,also really good. Quick service even though they were busy. Very fair prices. $30 for the both of us including a beer. Would definately return on our next trip to Houston and recommend.

Terrible Mother’s Day Experience – 0 Stars if I Could

By OnAir40595637327 |

We came to celebrate four mothers and had one of the worst dining experiences ever. The female manager on duty was extremely rude, clearly overwhelmed, and took her frustration out on us. Instead of defusing issues, she argued and made everything worse. Her negative energy trickled down to the staff, who seemed stressed and uncoordinated. Due to a name mix-up, they sat us early by mistake, then rudely made us move—with no server assigned to our new table. After waiting over an hour and a half (with an 80-year-old in our group!), we still couldn’t even get a glass of water. Someone finally told us they only had seven clean cups for our table of nine—unbelievable. We left and went to Mambos nearby, where we were treated wonderfully and even got $10 off per mother. Leadership matters, and this place desperately needs better management and structure.

Not Bad But Not Amazing

By kidflemingo |

I was staying neat by and decided to try this place because of the reviews. Overall it was ok but I was hoping for better, but to be fair it was not crawfish season. I ordered one pound of crawfish and one pound of shrimp with corn and sausage. The corn was soft and the sausage was bland. The crawfish and shrimp had ok flavor. I would like to go back and try everything when its fresh. The guy beside me had some fried crawfish and it looked amazing.

Great Spot by Hobby Airport

By Jay M |

Crawfish check, Oysters check... This is a great place with great food. Be patient with the initial service, but once they find you they are on point! Get some crawfish and some oysters get a beer and enjoy.

Good quick place to eat, inexpensive, close to airport

Was served timely, food came out hot and seasoned well. Staff was quick to follow up. good atmosphere for a bite after work.

Heck Yes!!

By LeAnn D |

I ordered the trio plate, selecting the shrimp, crawfish, oysters, snd sweet potatoe fries. They were fast texting me when my ordered was hot and ready for pick up! The fantastic food was cooked perfectly, crisp, along with tasting fresh and delicious! I loved the fried shrimp being plump and extra-large!

I had no problems with service. The food was fresh and hot. I had shrimp and crawfish. If you love seafood, you must visit and try. I will definitely back.

Not Great

By HappyPenny |

We were a little disappointed by our meal here. The food was okay (kind of a weird mix of Cajun and Asian), and the prices are okay, but the dining atmosphere was really unpleasant. The tables were placed incredibly close together, and the obnoxious music on the speakers was blaring WAY too loud. This made dinner conversation pretty much impossible. To top off the negative impression, the employees weren't friendly or helpful. We ordered an appetizer to enjoy before our meal. After a loooooong wait, our server brought the appetizer to our table at the exact same time that he brought the entrees. We let him know that he brought it too late, we didn't want the appetizer with our food, please cancel that order. He seemed fine with that, but didn't remove the appetizer from the bill. He did remove the charge when we asked, but his whole attitude (the entire night) seemed bored and annoyed. We didn't get the feeling that customers are important here. We won't be eating here again.

Great food

By Rick P |

Very nice little place. Food was very good, had boudan egg rolls, shrimp and catfish all very good. Will stop in again if I am on this side of town

Like and love

By TravelorBecky |

I really liked the crawfish, medium spicy! I wish they'd been larger but was satisfied but not full after eating one pound. So, I ordered a snow crab cluster. It was very fleshy and absolutely delicious! All that was missing was some horseradish which the waitress forgot to bring. Loved it anyway! Will be back.

Crawfish was Good

If you are hungry and don't mind getting messy this is the place for you. The Crawfish was very tasty and filling. With a good beer to make it all taste better. I would eat here again.

We went for a late lunch and only had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated. There were still plenty of diners at the restaurant. I ordered the boiled crawfish and also a boiled blue crab. I ordered the traditional seasonings and medium for spice. It was plenty spicy so I am glad I went with medium. The blue crab did not have a real lot of meat on it. The crawfish were very tasty, but were not the easiest to eat. They did not slip out of the shell very easy. Thankfully they had some tools to assist.

We loved this place. Oysters were great and they had good selection of beer. Atmosphere was fun and the service was great!

Excellent Asian-Cajun Fusion Crawfish

By Eric |

This was my first visit, but certainly notify last. Great raw oysters followed by several orders of boiled crawfish. The crawfish was done Southeast Asian style in that it was boiled then finished in the sauce and heat of your choice. Served with melted butter, lemon, corn and red potatoes. Tip - order pounds of crawfish as you go so that they are always hot.

Good oysters at a good price

By JS-VA |

Was not interested in driving 10 miles in pouring rain, so I looked around the hotel and found this place. Really good oysters at the end of June says volumes about how they are supplied. Excellent waiter and quick service. Fried onion strings were great. Only thing wrong with the fried oysters is there could have been more. But then, I did leave food on the plate which is unusual. I may go back tonight and have a dozen oysters for dessert after my scheduled business dinner. Place is now on my "go to" list.

Pretty Good Seafood Spot

By Debbie K |

This is a pretty good seafood restaurant not far from Hobby Airport. The service is OK, the ambiance is relatively pleasant and the fare is good. My colleague and I decided to give this place a try as we were staying fairly close at the Marriott South. The location was not easy to find as it was in a strip plaza off Gulf Freeway facing away from the direction of traffic. It took us a couple of times around to figure out where it was. The key thing we should have realized was the need to turn right into the strip plaza after crossing Airport Blvd. The strip plaza in which it was located looked a little dodgy as it did not seem busy and the pavement at the entry was overdue in terms of repairs. But the storefront for the restaurant was reasonably nice. The interior upon walking in was laid out with a large bar area extending out from the far wall with the restaurant seating arranged in a U-pattern around the bar. There were plenty of booths and tables and the décor was nice enough with a seafaring theme as well as some hints of football thrown in. The TV at the bar, in fact, had the Monday Night game on and it was nice to track what was happening. We were seated quickly and our server attended to us right away. On the positive side, she was pleasant and friendly. However, she seemed to be a little distracted with other chores and it was hard at times to get her attention. We, in fact, were wondering at one point if she had left work. We got our initial order in a reasonably timely fashion but there was an order of Gumbo she forgot to bring us and we could not find her until after our meal was almost over. She did end up giving it to us free, however, so that was at least some recompense. We started with the calamari which was pretty good. For my main, I ordered the 1 lb boiled shrimp with a spicy sauce and my colleague had the shrimp poboy. We were both reasonably impressed with our food. The sauce used for the shrimp had a bit of a kick which was a good taste for me. The prices were fairly reasonable for the quality of the fare. Our bill with one soft drink (I had water to drink) was just under $38 before tip. After tip, it came to about $22 per person which I thought was a pretty good deal. Overall, this place is a decent spot for seafood. The quality of the fare is good and the prices are reasonable. The service was not as good as I would have liked but I get the feeling that it is usually better.
