After arriving at the Hollywood Historic Hotel after a long day of driving, we decided to go to the recommended adjoining restaurant. We only wanted a light meal and we shared the caesar salad and the calamari, both were tasty. We also ordered two cocktails, the 'teas knees' was especially nice. The bar had a great atmosphere and also had a stunning 1920's feel. Just what we were looking for.

The Edmon is mostly a great bar to meet and greet people. The menu is limited but has some interesting and tasty menu items. It was a good place to relax after a busy touristy day AND it was attached to our BOUTIQUE HISTORIC HOLLYWOOD HOTEL which made it very convenient.

Very nice restaurant/venue, has a beautiful open bar! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good food

Nice place, but the hours stink - 6pm till 1am, only serving food until 11pm - not good hours (especially early end of food service) if you're in town for a show. It would also be nice if they were open earlier so you may stop in for a cold beer or cocktail after a long drive to get there

I had my first visit last Saturday. Super chill vibe, unobtrusive waitstaff. First the wine came (superb). And then the food came (my GOD). And then dessert came (near death experience: I saw the light). Such a gorgeous fin-de-siècle atmosphere and I don't believe I saw a single screen in the entire establishment, making this a true sanctuary from the media-saturated existence we live in. Revisit civility. Enjoy the sanctuary that is the Edmon.

We were staying at the Hollywood Historic Hotel and this was, effectively, the hotel bar. I'm not sure that everyone in the place were residents which speaks volumes when you consider that there's no real reason to visit the area unless you are actually staying in the hotel. Not the cheapest, but the beer was cold and the food was good. Just wish they opened earlier and, in particular, opened on a Sunday!

We were staying at the Hollywood Hostoric and the Edmon is their bar and restaurant. Firstly the bar- it looks super stylish with Art Deco Fittings. Happy hour 5-7. Service good. Bartender friendly. Then we decided to eat in. Offered a table outside which looked lovely with lights and candies on tables. Food and service were excellent. Good really tasty and good price. Nice atmosphere. Really really tasty food.

G'day, this place was truly awesome! With such brilliant ambiance and gorgeous decor, we fell in love with the place straight away. The bar area is great for pre or post dinner drinks. Our server made me really really amazing cocktails that I think I am addicted to and his personality and friendliness was really WO derful. We chose to have dinner first and our waitress hostess (Naomi I think was her name) was sweet and energetic and professional and lovely from the moment we were seated. Now for the meals. It was truly exciting to see a little taste of our home on the menu so I couldn't pass up the Tasmanian Trout and it was gorgeous! Perfectly cooked with an awesome crispy skin, sitting on a beautifully flavoured aborio rice. My partner had the burger. A dish that remix died us that no-one does burgers like Americans! His burger was wonderful as it was filled with flavour and included a plate full of chips and of course the all-american side-a pickle. So, from walking thru the door, to saying thanks to barman at the end of our night, this place was remarkable and wonderful and we would recommend it to all and any. Wonderful, wonderful evening-Thanks guys!

Very cool new neighborhood spot. Well worth commuting to for a drink, date, meeting friends/neighbors or just dinner by yourself. Service was very good on my first visit. Friendly, knowledgeable wait staff and bartenders. Slick, sexy décor and lighting.. Perfect for a slip-in/regroup/cocktail/nosh. I know the guest of the hotel are very happy. Now they have The EdmonLA and Bucca in walking distance. Welcome EdmonLA, just what we wanted...good options. See you soon.

We stayed at the Hollywood Historic Hotel next door, and Edmon was recommended by all the desk clerks. There aren't many eateries in the area, so we decided to give it a try. My husband was satisfied with his ($17) burger. I ordered a cheese plate and found it disappointing. A trendy board with a large dollop of blue cheese, and 2 hunks of hard cheese came with a basket of bread.

Pity this restaurant wasn't open earlier or on Sundays - the food was excellent, although the beer & wines were very expensive. All staff were attentive & courteous. Not the type of place to take children as the menu didn't cater for younger guests.

While staying at the Hollywood Historic Hotel, we went to the Edmon a few times. We enjoyed the small plates that we had including calamari, peppers and various salads. The restaurant/bar was beautiful and seemed very popular for happy hour. The staff was very friendly and courteous. One drawback was the inconvenience of going to the bar to place our drink and food orders.

I stoped at the Edmon many evenings during my trip in LA and loved it all the time. Fernando the Barman was really nice and attentive and making great cocktails. Definitely recommends this place with a great atmosphere and decoration

Classy yet relaxed restaurant, meal good ok priced and good selection of drinks. Friendly prompt service. Good selection of drinks, lovely grant old decor

Great looking bar, friendly staff and a nice vibe. We were staying at the hotel so a fine place to unwind after a busy day……..,.

My husband I were staying in the hotel attached to this restaurant. We were unable to try it until our last evening as it only opens at 5pm and is closed on Sundays. We went for a quick drink and appetizer during their happy hour before a concert and were glad we did. It is beautifully decorated and has a very inviting atmosphere. We had meatball sliders and spinach dip. The service was quick and the music fabulous. It is definitely worth a visit!

We have been here for drinks and a meal 2 nights in a row and it is great. Lovely setting, excellent selection of drinks and great food. If you are staying at The Hollywood Historic Hotel you get 10% of your bill.

Stopped in for drinks. No waitress for table service. You have to order at the bar. Drinks were mostly ice. Decor was beautiful and the place was filled. Only dinner served

Beautiful place to have dinner or aperitif, attached to the Hollywood Historic Hotel. The dishes are delicious and well cared for. Excellent cocktails. From 4 to 7 pm there is happy hour. Portions in line with the European standard

The food was pretty great for bar, there was a DJ even on a Tuesday, we enjoyed the grilled romain salad, calamari was scrumptious, oxtail nachos were ok, but the cake was delicious. Amazing art deco ambience with all the Hollywood vibes.

Well this was very unexpected. Staying at the adjoining hotel and being told they did a good burger with something vegetarian on offer. The salad/starter was extremely tasty although looking quite simple and my veggie pasta and also my husband's fish couldn't be faulted. All was so full of flavour and quite delicious. The service too couldn't be faulted.

We loved the 1920's fell of this hotel bar. Great band on a Saturday night along with excellent cocktails. It was fun to watch the bartender mix a variety of craft cocktails. She was a master.

Since I was staying at the hotel and it was late, I went to "The Edmon" for dinner. The place is amazing and I loved the décor. Service was excellent. I did find it too noisy and it is a little pricey. I was alone and probably would have enjoyed it more if I was with a group of people.

Attached to the Historic Hotel and really made the stay at the hotel so much better. Beautiful venue, great food, i had mushroom pasta with butternut squash, the sauce was so nice. Great drinks, happy hour 4-7 and have live music some nights. Friendly staff.

This restaurant/bar is attached to the Hollywood Historic Hotel, and recommended by the hotel's concierge, especially for its burgers. I wasn't too impressed with my burger - just average. But, the service was outstanding and very friendly. I didn't recognise any of the wines on the list, so the barman gave me some tastes, then climbed up a ladder to a top shelf to fetch a bottle he thought I'd enjoy. He was correct. While dining, I was able to enjoy the decor and the recorded music - a very pleasant place.

Great place to eat and drink, staff so friendly and helpful, the food and cocktails were brilliant Next to the Hollywood historic hotel which was very handy as they do absolutely nothing

I was staying in the Historic Hollywood Hotel so decided to take advantage of the happy hour at the Edmon. Chose the Ginger Margarita and calamri & salad. All very tasty and good value in happy hour. The staff were attentive and friendly.

Great service, and also great if you're staying at the Hollywood Historic Hotel, it even has its own entrance. Good food, well presented, nice location, ambient lighting and great decor.

Delicious food, great cocktails, friendly service, art deco-ish ambiance, conversation- friendly sound level.... what more can you ask??? We will definitely return !!!

We dined here the first night we stayed next door at the Hollywood Historic Hotel. Good atmosphere, food and imaginative cocktails. We went back for a drink another night. Liked the fact that it was a 21 plus establishment and the noise level was low. Happy hour menu is excellent.

We arrived at happy hour and had an old fashioned to start. It was delicious we followed it with a shot of very fine whiskey. My husband and I had chorizo sliders, fried goat cheese balls, and duck tacos. All were exceptional! My daughter had the house Burger which she said was delicious. The french fries were addictive. For dessert we had the olive oil cake and the chocolate cake both were very delicious in very different ways. Both portions were very large for a dessert. I do suggest sharing. The decor is stunning. Overall a lovely evening

I read this is a gorgeous bar in a historic hotel in Los Angeles (near Paramount Studios, mid-city) that was refurbished and reopened several years ago. The look of the bar didn't disappoint. See photo. We had been told by hotel clerk that the happy hour is M-Sat, so I was disappointed that it's only M-F, since I did call and ask specific question. The staff ought to be better informed. Still, they had a very nice small plates menu. I read on TA that one guest recommended calamari and it was in a delicate batter served with two slightly spicy dips. Very good, My favorite dish was burnt eggplant dip, fried chickpeas, with four pieces of garlic-butter sourdough; beautiful presentation and a bargain at $9. We also shared a grilled gem caesar, avocado, pepitas salad that again was very tasty and beautifully presented. Several nice beers on draft. My companion had an Absolut Citron martini, actually two, because she thought them perfectly made and chilled. Btw, my companion is a trained chef and she really was impressed by our small plates. I'm Dinging it a 5th star because we had to keep going to the bar, that ran a tab, with our orders. The hostess brought our food to us and was very pleasant. We paid at the bar. For the price point: our drinks and food came to $68 without tip. The bar was full on Saturday by 7 p.m.; tables empty but the hostess could double as food server, to take order and get tab paid. Perhaps over time, they will add this. It was lame to keep popping up to the bar and standing around to pay.

I hadn't seen it before, but the bartender told me that the floor to ceiling renovation touched everything save for one brick wall separating the bar/restaurant from the hotel. Lovely art deco bar. There are special drinks and a reduced price appetizer menu from 5-7. Loved the ginger margarita, and hubby said his martini was perfectly prepared.

We stayed at the Historic Hollywood Hotel and ate at the Edmon. The staff serving us were friendly and drink service was quick same as for our meal. It was a casual friendly place.

Great decor and ambiance. Very attentive staff. Great food and very cool music selections. Good location on Melrose. Open until 11pm on weeknights. Highly recommend!

My husband and I visited this restaurant in February of 2018. It is connected to the Hollywood Historic Hotel and there is a door from the hotel lobby to the restaurant. The restaurant was like stepping back in time. Not having researched the restaurant and starving from a day out in the town, my husband and I were completely underdressed for this restaurant. Had I known, this would have been a restaurant I would have loved to dress up for. The décor was ABSOLUTELY stunning. Late 1920's / early 1930's art deco style. The restaurant was classy. They had a Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and may only be open for dinner. The Happy Hour menu offered a wide variety of food choices (I'm sorry to say we didn't look at the drink menu). The restaurant is a bit pricey, but an absolute steal compared to what we would have been willing to paid for. My husband had a classic burger meal (between $15 and $18; I can't recall exactly how much) and I had the Happy Hour calamari appetizer ($9). We ordered a soft drink and water. We also had a brownie sundae for dessert. The total for our meal came out to approximately $42 not including tip. The ambiance alone was worth the price of our impromptu date night. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect for a couples dinner, and the staff were extremely friendly. It was getting pretty busy by the time we left and it looks like a place where visitors and locals alike frequent. HIGHLY recommend at least once for a date night for the experience.
Good value, great service, excellent atmosphere
This bar and restaurant is accessed through the lobby of the Hollywood Historic Hotel, which is very convenient for hotel guests, as well as having it's own street access. The food is nicely presented, well priced and there’s a good selection to cater for all tastes. When I first walked in, I felt I had stumbled onto the Great Gatsby set which is in keeping with the hotel décor and atmosphere. The staff are really happy and friendly and don’t mind stopping to have chat if they are not too busy with other customers. The only negative comment I would mention is that you can’t book the cost of the meal to your room, but overall, if we ever visited LA again, I would definitely make a point of having a meal and a few drinks at The Edmon
