Chicken Sandwich!!!!

By Denise B |

The Salt and pepper martini is divine. And the chicken sandwich might be the best I’ve ever had….lovely staff, nice relaxed feel. I enjoyed my table for one!

Fantastic Finch!

By Pamela H |

Fantastic food, ambiance & service! Highly recommend choosing The Finch! Roasted brussels sprouts were amazing, both the salmon salad, and the salmon over steam califlower were absolutely phenomenal . Johnathon recommended the calamari, and it was so tender and tasty! If you go request Johnathon!! he was the perfect mixture of recommending amazing things, but serving us well once we made our decisions… It was so good. Our whole group went back the next day.

Tasty but need more

Not your typical brunch menu . Offered about 5 different egg combinations of poached but our eggs were soft boiled . No omelette station

Solid 4. Great service

By Carole |

We walked in on a Thursday night and did not have a reservation, but they did see us which was very nice . The decor is very pretty very fresh and modern . I wasn’t super hungry, but my husband was . I got the wedge salad, which was fantastic. It was a little bit watery with a little too much stressing, but the flavor was nice. It was crisp and the bacon was crispy. I love the fact that it had blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles. . My husband had the French dip and subbed the fries for a nice small house salad . The meat was nice and pink and the center, but a little bit crispy on the outside which kind of screamed jersey Mike’s …. The server was fantastic. I don’t remember her name. All in all a really nice restaurant and I would go back.. On a note for management -the staff were all dressed in black, but we found it odd that the first person you saw at The Front was dressed in blue jeans and a sleeveless blouse… it would’ve been nice to see a bit of consistency in that and she was a great and really nice woman, but we figured with this caliber Restaurant she should have dressed as the servers were dressed. It would look a little bit more upscale. Price for the food quality was really great .

WARNING: 3% secret fee added to ticket!

WARNING: 3% secret fee added to ticket! Service was great. Burger was delicious. Breakfast tacos were just okay. The deal breaker was the surprise 3% “commodity fee” added to the ticket without notice. The public needs to protest this new trend and let restaurants know we will not tolerate their nickel and dime fees. Completely ridiculous! Just make your menu price’s reflective of what you need to be profitable. We will NOT be back due to sneaky fees. 👋

Really good food; cute atmosphere

If the weather is nice, I recommend sitting outside in the patio…you will just have to ignore the traffic on Mockingbird. Food was delicious…I was here for work and grabbed the chicken bites and brussel sprouts appetizers. Both were amazing and I would highly recommend!

Nice spot to eat

By Sara H |

Nice atmosphere and service by our waiter Food a bit costly for size of entree as did not fill up the males in our group. Tasty but not enough to be honest on the plate Slow service on the ordering and delivery especially on the drinks side, maybe a bit short staffed

The worst restaurant in Dallas

By M L |

The interior design of the space is nice and a couple of cocktails were well mixed. Other than that, there is not a single redeeming thing about this “restaurant.” Dinner party of 4 - one dish was a basic tasteless pasta, two fish dishes were badly overcooked, and the fourth dish was ice cold. We sent one of the fish dishes back because it actually smelled bad, and they brought a replacement entree and tried to charge us for both. When they agreed to take off one of the items, they actually tried to charge us for the higher priced entree. And they were too clueless to even understand how offensive that is. Oh, and they charged for sparking water we had ordered but was out of stock. And they charged us for an appetizer that we didn’t eat. If you want to try this place, get here soon because it is not destined to be open for long.

Excellent New Restaurant

A great new restaurant at Mockingbird Station. Nice patio or inside dinning. My wife had the French dip sandwich which she loved! My salmon and cauliflower rice was excellent (why would someone with a normal diet want white rice and risk T2-DM?). John was very attentive and one could tell that he’s vested in the restaurant’s success—he admires the management which is a good sign for retaining staff. We plan to go back and try the Happy Hour!

Incredible food and service! We ate here 2 nights in a row!

Outstanding food and epic service! I stayed at The Highland hotel across the street for a business conference. My coworker and I ate at The Finch for dinner two nights in a row because we loved it so much! Our server, Jonathan, was exceptional! He made recommendations for appetizers and entrees, and he steered us in the best direction! We had the calamari appetizer, and it was incredible—not chewy like bad calamari. It was the best we had ever eaten! My friend and I had salmon—me, the salmon and beet salad, my friend, the pan-seared salmon with crispy Brussel sprouts (instead of carrots). All of these were exceptional! We loved it so much that we ordered the same items our second evening dining there! I highly recommend!

Bait and Switch

The manager of this place assured us we would have a table, when we arrived, they had none. With no place to go, we had to sit on the patio and eat dinner in a wind tunnel. This place is a scam of a restaurant. They won’t make it in Dallas. Never again.

My experience

By Mario D |

The spot is decent as far as looks wise, but the portion of food???????? Oh man, they think everyone has a granny size appetite. I'm 6'3" 200lbs. I was there for one of my friend's birthday so I wasn't going to complain. I had to order like three entrees like it was a whole buffet. I'M in pretty good shape at that. I spent about $70 on myself just doing so. Its best to eat some light before you go. You really can eat heavy if you want to before you go really. I had the steak & eggs for brunch when I went and when the food came out. It looked like I had 3 bites of steak the size of a mini snicker with an egg hiding under some leaves they threw on top from one of the trees inside the place. I had chicken & waffles after that just to try to get full. The tenders were decent size, but the waffle OMG. The waffle was in a small shape of the state of Texas. Like how is it small, I thought everything was bigger in Texas. Overall, it's a decent little spot to take your granny or if you have a girlfriend that nibbles on food to. My waiter was cool though, but she knew that place was not for me before even ordering lol. I just got full off mimosas after that.

Lacking Warm Cordiality

By RonnyC2723 |

I’m intrigued by the restaurant’s clever name which was inspired by the beloved fictional character Atticus Finch. Whereas Mr. Finch exuded warmth and tenderness, this restaurant exudes a cold, arrogant nature. Servers are all in a hurry and appears bored, perhaps wishing they were somewhere else. This restaurant is far too bright and has horrible acoustics. I could not even hear a fork drop. The menu was good, but the servings appeared glooped onto the plate. Our server explained that the added service charge is to pay for things like napkins and carry-out boxes. Oh brother! We were served our food and quickly left, leaving behind the desire to not return.

Wonderful brunch experience on a beautiful patio!!

By Camper42320702887 |

Had a wonderful experience, Started with an appetizer come at the delicious, cowboy queso. And the friends in my group had the French dip sandwich, the Finch salad ,chicken and waffles and the roasted chicken. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious. Very appropriate portions. We also split 2 carafes of the Mimosas. The celebration was on!!!. Then we split the donut holes and the cookie dessert. It was amazing!! The manager Anthony came by 2 check on us a few times and we had an absolutely wonderful staff or server, Kamora. Thank you for a wonderful brunch experience.!!

Fantastic Finch tucked inside Mockingbird Station!

We were in Dallas to speak at the USA Film Festival - and looking for a decent dining experience close to the Beeman Hotel. We were frankly stunned that we found such a truly stellar dining experience within a block! Ambiance & design were fantastic. Our server Corey was a consummate professional- delivering above & beyond service. Food was off the charts delicious- awesome presentation. Oysters were terrific - as were cocktails, entrees & dessert. Manager Steve came over & made sure we we're happy - genuine commitment to 5-star customer service. Highly recommend!

Mediocre Overpriced Food

New Years Eve

By shannon r |

We had a terrible New Years Eve experience at The Finch. While waiting 25 minutes to be seated, (despite have a reservation) we were told to stand around the crowded bar and get a drink. There were multiple tables that would fit us, so I finally asked the hostess why we weren't being seated. She was the much younger host and extremely rude. She said the kitchen was crowded so we could sit but could only order drinks as she rolled her eyes and sighed at me. I asked to be seated as we would at least have somewhere to sit finally. We chose to have the pre-set meal that you were supposed to have a choice of 2 options for each of the 4 courses. Multiple times options were taken away. This was a major issue as multiple people in our group couldn't eat seafood and that's the only option left. They brought espresso martinis in wine glasses with lesser portions, they ran out of FORKS for us to eat dinner with, and they spilled food on my friend's blouse. NOTHING was offered to compensate. For the money we paid, this was an absolutely terrible experience. To not be prepared for a pre-set menu OR your guests that had a reservation. Our waitress was the only good thing about this experience. She did her best with what the restaurant provided her and was great throughout.

Overrated Highland Park

By Gwendolyn H |

Good reception when we walked in. The restaurant itself was very nice. I ordered the chicken fried chicken Eeeeyuuuukkkk. It had fat on it the mashed potatoes were soupy Brussels were delicious. Be careful of what you order oh one other thing your entre is meat and potatoes only no veggies. So in order to get a green vegetable you have to pay $10 or more for that.
