Worst Experience Ever!

By Debbie H |

My siblings and other family members went to this restaurant on the 4th of July. In short, we will never go again. We were a party of 13 and we were told our wait would be 45 minutes for an inside table which we specifically requested. We waited an hour before my brother went to check where we were on the list. Granted, the restaurant was busy. Shortly thereafter, the hostess said our table was ready and began to lead our party outside. Someone in the party informed her that we requested an inside table. Not loud, not demanding, simply made a statement. At that point the General Manager walked by and stated with entirely too much attitude, I am the GM. What is the problem here? We explained our situation and she immediately got very loud and said "Look, I can't help if people are nursing their food and don't want to leave!" Someone in the party attempted to talk to her, only to her, and she became even louder saying she couldn't make people leave. A couple of people then told the server we would just take the outside table and started walking that way. She immediately said "better yet, you can take your money and leave!" We were shocked by this but she repeated it several times as one person went to inform the members of our party that she told us to leave. My niece returned after our party left to ask for her information to file a complaint and I followed her back inside. She then asked the GM for her name and she replied " my name is ?? and I'm not afraid of you complaining because I'm the GM and no one can tell me who can eat here. She said just leave and have a nice day because i have already called security. It was said very loudly, extremely nasty, and she definitely got the attention of everyone waiting to be seated. Wow was all I could think. I have never heard any management staff at any restaurant be so nasty to a patron. As we walked away, two servers came by and apologized to us and letting us know she had been acting like a B all day! Even the servers were upset. She is a bully and an embarrassment to the owner of this establishment. But we did take our money elsewhere and had a wonderful meal. Needless to say, this place deserves zero stars!

Very Nice Seafood

By Richard4188 |

This restaurant is located on the Seattle waterfront at pier 57, which is a popular area very close to the Seattle Aquarium and Pike Place Market. The Fisherman's Restaurant is located at the end of the pier close to the Great Wheel. We arrived about 1 PM and were advised there was a 15 minute wait for a table. This restaurant will text you when your table is ready. We had gone outside to wait on a bench when the hostess came out and said that a table had become available earlier than expected and they are ready to seat us. A pleasant surprise that gave us a nice start to the meal. We both ordered grilled seafood entrees. My wife had the Frilled Alaskan King Salmon while I had the Columbia River King Salmon. Both of our entrees were perfectly cooked to medium rare, flaky, tender and delicious. They were accompanied by a rice pilaf and very tender baby asparagus. Service was attentave and friendly.

Gorgeous Views

One of my husband's favorite restaurants. We were the first clients this day and were seated near the full-length windows overlooking the waterfront. Our waiter, Jared, was nice and took care of our order. We ordered 1/2 doz shucked oysters. 6 oysters for $19. I feel that they were overpriced. 2 of the oysters barely filled a teaspoon. My husband got the prawns and chips, and I ordered Fisherman's fish and chips. All were delicious, crispy and flavorful. While we were eating, another couple got seated behind us and also had ordered the oysters. She also made a comment that the oysters were kind of small.

Great place to eat when on the waterfront

By David T |

We exited the ferris wheel at lunchtime, and this place was very convenient. We asked for an outside table and were told it would take about 20 minutes for one to become available. However we were invited to have a drink whilst we waited. True to their word, within about 20 minutes, my wife received a message telling us our table was ready. We had a very attentive server who was friendly and efficient. The food was superb, and the atmosphere was buzzing.

Don't skip this restaurant

By tazangel36 |

My teenager picked this as we drove past. They're either an oracle, or magic! We shared the prawn feast for 2, and each bite was better than the last! Fresh, hot, perfectly seasoned clam chowder; steamed mussels and clams that were perfectly cooked; house-nade ranch on fresh salads; and the main attraction: skewered prawns with a delicious rub, crispy coconut shrimp with a fantastic sweet chili sauce, scampi loaded with parmigianna... my kid even tried the steamed broccolini!

Not impressed at all

By Jaime S |

Only one person enjoyed there food everyone else said is was bland or not good. And for the price we payed it should have been. Spectacular

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and terrific location

Great selection of freshly caught seafood. Excellent service. Food was fantastic! Situated right on water area. Can sit inside or outside.

Typical Tourist Spot

By Beckyone |

This restaurant is located on the waterfront. The outside seating was nice and our server (Casey) was prompt and friendly. She made us feel welcome and was very helpful with the menu. I had the classic Cesar salad with salmon. The salad was so so (mostly iceberg lettuce) and the salmon did not taste fresh. The serving was large enough for 2 meals. The dressing was definitely not the authentic Cesar dressing I expect when paying $14 for a salad. The salmon was $9 extra. I make better at home for a lot less. My sister had the grilled salmon with rice and veggies. I really liked the atmosphere, but don't go here expecting a great meal, just a touristy one.

Stopped for lunch

By Cheryl R |

We stopped in for lunch and we were lucky enough to get window seating. We could see the ferry coming and going and it is right next to the Ferris wheel. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the sriracha shrimp app, blue mermaid drink, King Crab and bacon sandwich, prawns and chips and captain’s plates to share. The views and location are amazing and the service/food was very good. Highly recommend.

Good Drinks

By John379 |

Stopped in for a couple drinks while walking around the piers. Katie was the bartender and she was great, drinks were nice, not overly expensive.

Overpriced and underwhelming

By mrhodes42 |

Drinks were ok at best… ordered the calamari and was very disappointed. Looked like a partial order of over breaded scrap pieces. No imagination at all. For $18? Gimme a break. We weren’t interested in being let down further so we paid the bill and went elsewhere.

Self Service Sunset

By sunfunrelaxSanDiego |

Went for happy hour today, they let us sit on patio with the fantastic views but there was no food or beverage service, we bussed our own table. This worn sole , a neglected restaurant lacking in service and management. A big disappointment!

Seattle must try ...

By Shpeety |

A perfect pairing of the freshest seafood , simple/classic/mouthwatering tasty preparation, and breathtaking views of the waterfront. Service was impecable/friendly and knowledgeable of both menu and city attractions.

Nice quiet lunch great view

By RJSBailie |

Had lunch today sat outside on deck facing the water. Cool breeze but warm. waitress was friendly and very helpful. Good menu and prices. Husband had fish n chips. I had salad with salmon & pork belly. Very fresh. Large meals. Clean and tidy. Would eat here again.

Nice

By nurse1980 |

A nicely situated restaurant. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Food reasonable but batter on fish quite thick and claggy. Nice to sit in the waters edge as the view is amazing.

So So

By Sid J |

So going against my better judgement we stopped in here for lunch. I usually avoid tourist spots and I should have not eaten here. There was no crowd and it took and hour after ordering to get food that was bland and not worth the money. $19 for fish tacos. Our server was very pleasant

Beautiful water views from outside tables.

By Gayle B |

Close to our hotel (Pioneer Square) and right on the water. Moderately priced, fun decor and atmosphere. Our table stuck to seafood choices and were not disappointed. Chowder was delicious and that was my dinner. Thick, creamy, and full of clams. Halibut fish and chips had 2 pieces of fish, so not enough to share. Fried oysters were good as well. Service was great .

Excellent chowder

By Jonny M |

We went in here for a bote to eat after a walk. Oh my god, what a bowl of chowder that is. We ordered a bowl to try with the mains. I wish I ordered 2 bowls of it for myslef. It was the best in town. We tried lots of different ones but nothing came close to this meal we had here. I would definately eat here again. Waiter was very professionam and knew his stuff. Well done.

Not so great if someone in your party doesn't like seafood.

By Michelle M |

Nice view, servers are attentive....but if you don't like seafood you will have a hard time finding a good meal. My husband ordered crab and clam chowder and was in heaven. I on the other hand do not like seafood, except shrimp. So I ordered the shrimp cocktail which was delicious....sweet and succulent. I also ordered the filet mignon with mash potatoes and grilled asparagus. The steak had no seasoning...not even salt and pepper. It was tough for a tenderloin, the mash potatoes we flavorless and the asparagus was over cooked and burnt on the tips. I was very happy to see my husband enjoying his dinner, but a seafood restaurant really needs to take a little pride in the other dishes they offer for those who don't eat fish.

Ilokano and Cavitenā trace

By MARIFE A |

The waiter was cool and very honest, his name is Kevin. When you ask him about the menu. His very familiar and good recommendation. Also his quick and letting you know that your order is coming in 2 minutes. We came today not too busy and I was surprised the prize for 2 . $36.00 We ordered a Seafood Cioppino. He also mentioned that summer won’t be like this cause it’s busy and more tourists. Great service from Kevin.l, great service. and great food. The Seattle Great wheel was next to it.

Great Views with OK Food

By deskclerk102 |

Had dinner here while visiting the waterfront area, and found the food to be OK. The waterfront location with outdoor seating is the main attraction. Halibut fish and chips was fine, but not great. Fish was a bit over-fried, and the fries were nothing unusual. Fish tacos were fried in the same way, and didn’t have much in way of seasoning - only mayo slaw added. It wasn’t bad - but I wouldn’t order either again. Wait staff was friendly, and the location is great (right next to the Ferris wheel).

What a Disgrace

By Lucas R |

Discovered an entire shattered acrylic fingernail from one of the employees while eating my soup, with broken bits of nail and the taste of acetone left in my mouth, they still had the audacity to make us pay for the meal before we left. Disgusting people and managers at this establishment.

Disappointed

By Alex P |

For $26 salad and $17 appetizer you would expect to be something really good. But both plates were tasteless. I end up spending $50 for a crappy food. Service wasn’t friendly. I don’t recommend this place at all.

A great experience

By Miguel A |

Excellent view and fresh fish. We were a group and shared some menus that were very abundant, followed waiter's advice. Dishes are really big, not high cuisine but very good quality. You have a wonderfull view of the bay, nice experience

Cute place to eat by the ferris wheel

By southerncaligirl72 |

Lovely location for a restaurant located right on the water and next to the ferris wheel. We sat outside on the patio. Our waitress was very friendly & we had good service. We ordered the Manhattan red chowder, sourdough bread, mixed greens salad & halibut tacos. All were very good.

Good food

By Pamela D |

Food was good. Bartender Lara was very nice and attentive. Would definitely go back. Saw a lot of dishes that looked very good.

under the big wheel

By imthecounselor |

Indoor and out door seating under the big ferris wheel on the waterfront. Great views from both inside and outside. Busy bar with typically priced tourist area drinks. Food good but nothing to write home about and typically over priced for Seattle tourist areas. Service okay. Coffee $3 Steamed Mussels $15 plentiful, quite bland, several not opened King Crab & Bacon on Sour Dough Sandwich $19 crab salad filling / not chunks - tasty but hardly worth the cost

Okay Seafood, But Have Had Better

By Neal J |

First off, I come from New England, so seafood is something my wife and I love, seek out and enjoy. We, with all honestly, have little understanding when an area that is located on or near the ocean doesn't serve absolutely the very best seafood. We were recently traveling in the area and tried this place simply because they had a good crowd. What was good: Our server was very attentive. He took very good care of us. The location and view of the Kitsap Peninsula and Puget Sound make the time spent even better. The food, I honestly say they could do better. Seafood should be nothing by the best when you are located like this place is. My stuffed cod was okay at best. I tasted okay but it was barely warm. The taste was good but I prefer my food hot. My wife's Cesar Salad was okay (her words). It took us a long time to get our food. I know they were busy but the best places never make you wait long. You can find better places in my mind. I just don't know where at this time.

Location lovely, food not so much

By Sheila M |

This was such a disappointing meal as the menu promised more than delivered. Over salted beef rib, tough lobster . A chelate brownie that needed a knife to cut it and a bottle of wine already opened and some wine already out of it! We knew when the seal was already broken this to be true. The fish and chips were good but chips were Luke warm. Servers all too busy to come and ask how the meal is until it’s too late. People sat waiting for long periods of time to order. Maybe covid has affected staffing levels, but quality of food is poor from our experience. Location on seafront next to ferris shell is lovely but we did not have a great experience Provided feedback to the restaurant and they ignored it.

An unexpected great find

By Hugh D |

We saw Fisherman’s down below, while riding “The Seattle Great Wheel”, so we stopped for lunch. It was a good call; we had a great time. This restaurant has been there a long time, on Pier 57 along the Seattle waterfront, in a funky amusement type building with restaurants, arcades, shops, etc. It has downstairs and upstairs seating, as well as a patio, all with great views of the bay. This is seafood at its best, if you are not a seafood fan, the choices are limited. We shared a Dungeness Crab cocktail (how could we not being so close to Dungeness Bay), house salad (cold and crisp) and fresh grilled halibut – magnificent. A nice selection of wines, good after meal coffees and service. The crab cocktail was pricey but you got a LOT of crab. Next time we are in Seattle this will be one of our stops! They do take reservations.

Great view, great food. Excellent service

By Jenn |

Great food. Excellent service. Sitting on the patio was very nice in September. The dungeness crab dip was excellent. The crab and shrimp Louie salad was the best I’ve ever had. Husband had the salmon. The creamed spinach was also amazing

Food and service is below average

By Elizabeth073 |

This place will always be busy due to its location on the water next to the big wheel. The service was slow, the tables were plastic, and the food was way over salted and a bit gross. Don’t be lazy like me and walk a little farther to a good restaurant.

Great View, Mediocre Food

By Lydia H |

Great view of the waterfront, but the food is disappointing. Our bucket of mussels had very little flavor, the sourdough was tough, my salmon on the Caesar salad was overdone, and the chowder was just ok. Very much a tourist trap!

We stopped by for an afternoon drink at the bar. Katie was friendly and fast. It's got great views right on the water. I would recommend it.

To do for the view...

By Thierry K |

Restaurant with beautiful terrace overlooking the bay. Many Americans come to eat there. Very family-friendly. Proper meal and quick service.

Excellent food and service despite busy summer day!

By Sheri F |

We ate here on a Saturday in August, roughly 3pm. It was a madhouse: the pier, the restaurant, everything was packed with people. And yet, we were seated immediately (other nearby restaurants were quoting 45 minute waits) given one of the better tables with a perfect, unobstructed view of the water, and our server was both personable and effective. A full restaurant on a Saturday afternoon at peak hours and we still ate in a timely fashion and everyone's dishes were amazing (the bucket of steamed mussels were so tender and plentiful!). I highly recommend this restaurant, if not for the wonderful sea-fare, then at least for the competent service and view.

Average food

By Sandy M |

Three of us had the fish and chips, and it was very greasy and mostly batter. I don’t recommend ordering this from the menu.

Beneath the Great Wheel

By LJW1005 |

The food was good not great but it was a fun place to sit outside and have a drink. Our waitress was on the spot and attentive. She remembered all of our drinks on the second round which was surprising with the place being packed at lunch. Great views and relaxing!

Eat elsewhere then get on the Wheel

By 665KimC |

We had The special Fisherman’s dinner on the great wheel last night. The service and setting were lovely. The food was awful. Not too strong a word. The salmon was horribly over cooked. It should be illegal for your chef to destroy such a noble fish. It may be the worst restaurant salmon ever served to us in Seattle. The Pot de Creme was served in its uncooked raw runny state. It had clearly not been baked. The vegetables were completely tasteless. For the nearly $400 we spent we came away hungry and disappointed.

Great place for food and atmosphere

By Travelwise207 |

Right on the seafront by the wheel, this restaurant offers great food at fairly reasonable prices. The crab was excellent as was the clam chowder. Great fun place, outdoor seating if you like. Recommend.

Highly recommend the Fisherman’s Restaursnt

By PandS_63 |

My wife and I went to the Fisherman’s Restaurant for dinner on our first night in Seattle. We were struggling to decide on between the many seafood restaurants in the area. We are very glad that we choose wisely. We had oysters on the half shell and coconut shrimp for appetizers. Both were excellent. The oysters were fresh and tasty and were shucked skillfully with no shell fragments. The shrimp was freshly fried in a great coconut coating and served with a spicy sweet sauce that perfectly complimented the richness of the coconut shrimp. For the main course, we had the crab boil. It included Snow, King, and Dungeness crab. All three were cooked to the correct temperature and full of meat. The stand out was actually the Dungeness, having the most flavor. Our waiter was very friendly and informative, without being obtrusive. And we had a beautiful view of the sunset from our table. Overall a very nice dining experience. We recommend the Fisherman’s Restaurant.

Pleasant but overpriced

By Gareth C |

Very pleasant restaurant with good service. I would say it was overpriced though, portions were small. What really takes the mick is the 4% surcharge on everything. Why put prices in a menu and then have a surcharge in small print?

Great Fish and Chips

By Ronald C |

Very friendly staff and Great fresh fish. Nice value for the meals with fresh sour dough bread. You can sit inside or out.

Great view - average food

By LizBroxburn |

Great views of Puget Sound and the ferris wheel. That’s the only good thing to say about it. Food & service distinctly average. My husband had clam chowder as a starter & described it as bland. Before he was halfway through his bowlful our main courses had arrived! His salmon was overcooked & looked like it had been cooked & kept warm for a while. My halibut in batter was freshly cooked but the fries with it were lukewarm. I ordered ice cream for myself, my husband twice said he didn’t want dessert. They brought 2 portions. We sent one back. Staff just shrugged. Our advice - enjoy the view from the benches outside & eat elsewhere.

Nice View, Good Food

By Jeanie J |

This is an overall mixed review. We sat at the bar for quite some time before I flagged down the bartender and asked for service, Then both bartenders had an attitude. The crab dip was really good even with the overload of garlic. The view and atmosphere were great, so I’d go back, but I wouldn’t have any expectation of good service.

Nice Views & Decent Food

By TravelSinceRetired |

This restaurant is located right next to the Seattle Great Wheel. The outdoor seating (provided its a nice day weather wise) is very nice & recommended). My wife had the Fisherman's Fish & Chips -- she said it was ok but somewhat on the greasy side. I had the Smoked Salmon BLT & it was delicious! Service was very good (thank you, Hilda!).

Touristy but worth a visit

By taitaihk |

This is a popular restaurant situated right next to the Ferris wheel with lovely views looking out over the harbour. It was our first evening and we didn’t have a dinner reservation but got a table outside on the terrace and were served pretty quickly even though it was very busy. We both had grilled fish, perfectly cooked and nice and hot. There’s also a good selection of wine.

Great location, poor food

By Curmo |

The location is great - underneath the big wheel and right on the waterfront. Our waiter was pleasant and chatty but our meals were a massive disappointment. My halibut cut was overcooked, dry and small. It came with dried out rice and a handful of undercooked asparagus tips. My wife’s crab cakes were tasteless. Our dessert never arrived and our bill was incorrectly calculated. One to be avoided as there are plenty of better choices nearby.

Great location

By Anjay1 |

My husband and I stopped here for the view of the water and happy hour. I had the stuffed mushrooms and they were delicious. The drinks were good too.

Seafood

By Sharonholzum |

We ate dinner here because it had a water view. We had the stuffed fish that was very good. Even though they were busy, we didn't have to wait long and the service was great.

Awesome Views, Decent Food

By TheBeardedGentleman |

This place seems to have been around for a while with their decor, merch, and setup. The service was great. Beer selection was severely lacking and our entrees were above average but nothing to savor. The views were the best part!

Good fish and ambiance

By AustinAggie98 |

We had a lovely Saturday evening on our last night visiting Seattle, earring outside. Great views, great views and good service. No complaints! (And the clam chowder was the best we’ve ever had!!)

Great stop after visiting aquarium

By Jessica M |

My hubby said fish and calamari was overcooked by a minute. One large piece was fine. Fries were good. He got the Captain’s plate. Hot chocolate was done to perfection. Mimosas was excellent. Clam chowder was soothing and filling the seating was fine. Sunny day so at window. Not crowded but you can tell in summer it is probably packed. Neat ambiance. Could watch patrons exit Farris wheel. We were guessing who was happier or had good time based on their faces. By looks of it a lot were happy

Service is slow and server has an attitude.

By guyscholar |

Talk about poor service. The server sadly has an attitude and service is so slow. The food is alright but the service is a deterrent.

My Annual Fresh Seafood Treat

By PaulDeeming |

I visit Seattle annually to staff a camp, and I never miss a chance to get my fresh seafood fix at Fisherman's Wharf on the Seattle waterfront! Located on the pier beneath the Big Wheel (ferris wheel), it is a great place to get fresh caught seafood and if you're there in the evening, to see the sunset over Elliot Bay (equally as beautiful is when there is a fog shrouding the distant mountains). Their food menu, beers an wines are delicious. I usually get shrimp or crab, but this time I ordered the crusted sole (stuffed with a mixture of shrimp, crab, cream cheese and garlic). Heaven! Along with a good ale beer and a cup of clam chowder, it was scrumptious! My only regret was not having the room for a dessert. Seating is either outside on the pier (popular) or inside. I note only one thing. Apparently you have to ask for their sour dough bread to be served (used to be automatic). Ask for it!

Great viewing spot on the outside deck!

By pnicoletti2018 |

My wife and I enjoyed a fairly priced bottle of Pinot Gris and appetizers on an idyllic Saturday evening! The service was excellent, and our waiter, Brian, was very informative. The hostess (Manager) went out of her way to find us a table that had great views of Puget Sound! We shared the Northwest Fish platter which samples Salmon, Smoked Cod and Albacore all for $20! It is delicious... served with lightly pickled veggies, and the best tartar sauce I’ve ever tasted! The clam chowder was also a hit!

Frozen not fresh

By Mark S |

Don’t eat here. The service is excellent. The food is not. I was so disappointed in the food quality for a restaurant advertised as fresh seafood. This is a cattle call place for the masses. Not what is advertised

I’m here to serve you but wish I was elsewhere….

By SmartMark |

Location good. Menu as you would expect. Greeting on arrival - very officious. Bartender doing a remarkable job on her own. Taken to our table and we were introduced to Devon, who would be “looking after you guys tonight “. Asked how he was he quickly said that he’d had enough of the stairs and it wouldn’t be long before he finished. The food was all we were looking for. We ordered a bottle of chilled Sauvignon and it arrived with no wine cooler. We requested a wine cooler and Devon returned with a bucket that would have held 2 dozen beers. “It’s all there was” he said as he put it on the table. He obviously expected the bottle of wine to make its own way into the aforementioned ice bucket. His looking after us suddenly remembered we would have liked some chilled water. He returned with a jug but kindly topped up two other tables before arriving at ours and shrugged his shoulders saying “well I guess I ran out as I got to you guys.” Fortunately the iced water in the bucket allowed us to clean our hands as our crab claws were not the easiest thing to consume without getting sauce etc over our hands. To summarise the restaurant does what you would want it to but avoid Devon if he is your server.

Bread bowls for the win!

By AA |

We had the clam chowder bread bowl and the fisherman’s stew bread bowl. The clam chowder had great taste just needed more substance and less soup. The fisherman’s stew was all substance and little liquid soup. But both tasted excellent. Would definitely return and order the same thing.

Great Food & Excellent Views

By Love2TravelUS |

It was cold when we visited so we couldn't set outside, but we sat at a table by the window and the views are unbelievable. The food is very tasty, we enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert, all was fresh and tasty. The service was very attentive and prices were reasonable. We visited this location several years ago and it didn't disappoint this time, we will definitely return.

Decent food no long lines

By Luvtravel5760 |

Everything on the waterfront was packed. Food here was decent...good fish selection. I had salmon and my husband had cioppino. His was excellent, mine was so-so. Fish was a little dry. Pretty high priced as is everything in Seattle. This is right under the Ferris wheel. Pretty view at night.

Great views, good halibut, service is slow

By QuantumMover |

Beautiful views, outside dining available, large menu. We had halibut and chips which was delicious. Halibut was fresh, perfectly cooked. Portions were decent sized but not overkill. Fries were good and there were 4-6 pieces of halibut for around $35. The service was slow, it took 15 mins to get our change when paying our bill. But, the food was good and the views were incredible so we did not mind.

Great location, wonderful food!

By Alfred R |

We visited today for lunch and had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the ambiance was second to none!

Nice stop for lunch

By kentonbear |

Great views right on the waterfront. Food was good, they even split a lunch plate in 2 for us as we didn’t want to order 2 full plates. Service was good.

TLDR: don’t waste your time and money here. Go anywhere else.

By Brittanie P |

This is a tourist trap. Overpriced food and very poor service. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was essentially vodka and water; the oysters were pathetically small for $18; and the rice was so over cooked, it was inedible. Additionally, the drink was sent back, but not removed from the bill. Ninety minutes and $75 later, and I’m eating Subway to supplement my poor dinner at The Fisherman’s Restaurant. Come for the views- not the service or the food. PS- there are benches you can sit on for free and bring your own meal. That is the much better choice, in my opinion.

Do NOT eat here!

By billya8989 |

Seven people at the table. Only people who ate more than 1/3 of their order were two ridiculously over weight poor people. Burger was bad, "fresh halibut" might have been fresh in 2010. Clam chowder was okay if you like a few clams with your salt. Shrimp was way overcooked. If you just want a beer and access to a TV for a game it is okay but otherwise AVOID it.

Dreadful

By Anneanne |

Just finished dinner, clam chowder good, main meal brought out before we finished chowder so was not hot to eat. 2 main meals of prawns over cooked, couldn’t cut breaded prawns with a knife. They didn’t have wine we ordered said the one they brought was similar price, it was $15 dearer that is not similar to me. Couldn’t recommend the restaurant.

Clam Chowder was tasty

By nmhy27del |

Although the clam chowder was tasty and the service was good, I wouldn’t go back. Nothing about the experience stood out as outstanding. I liked the beer in the frosty mug too.

Good food with a view

By Anne F |

We enjoyed a delicious lunch of fisherman’s chowder, salad and king crab sandwich. Everything was wonderful including the service. Nice view of the water when dining inside or out.

First Visit

By Nancy M |

The four of us had a okay dinner - it was a little expensive for what you got. Fish and chips was delivered with only two pieces of fish - for $26, Chips were not hot nor crispy. The cost of the meal did not satisfy two growing teenagers. Only real positive was that our waiter (Sean) was excellent.

All good here

By luvtotravelmd |

We had the pleasure of having an excellent dinner. The servers were attentive and the food delicious. Delightful setting and would recommend.

Not what we expected -_-

By Ytsirhc Y |

We paid $54.00 for 6 pieces of cold shrimp, 6 oysters, and with “no” sides. Not even french fries. My sister’s kids meal had more food than the adult meal we ordered. Needless to say we were pissed. We either misread the menu, or we seriously got ripped off. Way over priced.

Greasy, batter laden fish that had been frozen too long - try another option!

By lm4125 |

The waterfront location and views were the high points of this lunch. I ordered the halibut fish & chips and he ordered the cod fish & chips. There was only a little bit of fish in each of the greasy batter laden soggy lumps surrounded by a few fries that tasted like they had been in the freezer for a year or more. Both of our meals were barely edible, and I wish we would have stopped at another restaurant on the waterfront. Live and learn. If you try this restaurant, I hope you have better luck than we did.

If you are on the Waterfront and want to sit and. Eat

By WashingtonDayTripper |

This is a great friendly staffed place to either take a break on your tour of the waterfront or a great place to end it with a seafood dinner and drinks. The seafood is fresh and the drinks as welcome treat!

Pretty Hiod

By newyorker1953 |

Went with a party of 6 on a Saturday afternoon with no reservations and we were seated promptly on the outside deck. Nice view of the water and The Great Wheel. Good service even considering they were very busy. Fish and chips was good with 2 decent sized pieces of fish. Free mud pie desert for the birthday girl (very good) A bit expensive but not bad for a restaurant in a tourist area.

Overpriced low quality food

By N L W |

Highly doubt this was fresh seafood. Haddock was tough, no flavor and only warm. Partner had the shrimp and they too tasted and appeared to be frozen. Great location if only the food matched. Not worth the money.

Seafood Delight

By Eric S |

It seems improbable that at the center of a touristy area, in the shadow of the great wheel, a really good restaurant could reside...but this place was surprisingly good. The wait staff was super friendly and provided great service. The ahi tuna was probably the best I've had in the United States, and I've tried it anywhere it's served. They do salmon right too, and unless you've had salmon from the northwest you've not really had salmon. Overall a great experience and I'm so glad we gave it a chance.

Must have Salmon BLT!

By Therese B |

We had a group of 6 for lunch. Waited about 30 minutes for a table. Everyone enjoyed their food - but the hit was the Salmon BLT sandwich. Salads were also good. A little pricey, but great atmosphere and service.

Nice sea food with a view

By Mne |

We stated gere with the family on the iutside patio. We had excellent service with Santiago, and the food was delicious. If you are reserving a table for outside, be sure to ask for a table not too close to the ferris wheel as the motor is a bit noisy.

Awful customer service

By Ariel B |

Really overpriced for the quality of the food. This is a tourist trap. We were treated horribly and the waiter never checked on us. We had just gotten off the Seattle Great Wheel, which was an awesome experience, and decided to give this restaurant a try given that it was right next to the wheel. I hate sharing bad reviews, but for how much this place costs, people need to know. So many other better quality options in Seattle for the same price.

Very average

By Darla B |

This restaurant was recommended to us by our concierge as a high end restaurant , a big disappointment! The service was slow and hard to catch the server's eye when we needed more water, extra napkins and coffee. The food came cold while the ice tea was warm.. The prices were high as well . Must say the roasted corn was very tasty as the salmon and the location is beautiful.

Superb Ambiance

By Marty Bielicki |

Located along Seattle’s famous waterfront, next to the Great “Ferris” Wheel, Fisherman’s Restaurant offers iconic views of Puget Sound. Many of the seats upstairs and downstairs have superb views of the waterfront. There is no question that you are paying for the ambiance at Fisherman’s. As for food, it is a “hit or miss” on what you order. My daughter liked her Salmon Salad. I ordered a “special of the day,” Beef Stroganoff. The meat had no taste and the dish was far from what it was advertised to be. I broke my number one rule, never order a meat dish at a seafood restaurant. The Seafood Pomodoro looked good. For prawns, clams and mussels a lunch dish was $32. I just could not justify spending that much for lunch. A number of dishes had similar pricing. If you found this review “helpful” in any way, please press “LIKE” to let me know.

Good location, average food

By Anne S |

Great location on the waterfront, but the food was at best average and the waitress poor. The price felt like we were paying for the location, not the food quality.

Nice place

By David C |

Nice view, clean friendly place with good choices on the menu. Perfect after the huddle and bustle of the pike place market. Had grilled chicken and halibut tacos

Good views, great oysters!

By Troy W |

The view is good, but the seafood is average. The pricing isn't bad for the food, but it is definitely a tourist place. However, the oysters were great!

Nice views and fresh food

By AGuerin02 |

We had a late lunch here after a long day of travel. The food was fresh and delicious. The clam chowder was excellent and that says a lot considering we are from New England.

Yummy!

By Kimberly W |

Really great service. Food was good a little over-priced but the patio was gorgeous and looks out onto the water. I would definitely eat here again.

Great service

By Mykey T |

Eat there first week of August, great service and best calm chowder ever. Bucket of muscles, with sourdough bread, so good.

Cute place with great views

By wilsonoldie |

I stopped in here for a quick lunch while shopping at the nearby Pike Place Market. The staff were very friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is located right on the waterfront so I was able to watch the ferry boats while I ate.

Favorite Chowder

By bajathecat |

I always order the clam chowder when I go to Fisherman's. Really good clam to potato ratio. On this visit, I also ordered the crab cakes. Not a fan of the crab cakes. Way too much breading. Not an impressive wine list.

Good Food, Beautiful views, great service

By Christine R |

Today we googled and searched for something to eat after spending hours at Pikes Market Place and had made our way down to the waterfront. We had reservations about this place at first but decided to give it a try since we were so close. What a great choice. I’m sure it’s not the locals favorite spot and yes it draws in the tourists but that’s okay. Our waiter Brent was excellent and made our experience here so worth it and even gave us tourists some tips on local things to see and try once he found out we were from Texas. The clam chowder was delicious and we tried the crab dip, it was also delicious. My husband ordered a hamburger and when they brought it out it was huge. I had the Fish & Chips and they were good. Brent asked if we would trust him to pick a dessert for us so we did, it was some sort of Expresso ice cream cake, I think it was called mud pie not sure since we never even saw the menu for it cause we trusted Brent, IT WAS DELICIOUS!! We were so happy we took the chance on this place our experience was fantastic.

Good food, good views

By Crustybucket |

We went here for dinner after spending our day exploring Seattle. It was a tossup deciding where to dine, as there were several nearby that also had good reviews. I'm glad we stopped. The place was not full at all, (probably due to the fact we were dining a bit on the early side), but filled up as we were dining. Our meal started with clam chowder, 1/2 doz of oysters, (me) stuffed sole for my wife, and steelhead (me), and a chocolate dessert (wife). The chowder was very good, the oysters were great, and the entrees were cooked extremely well. One complaint was the rice pilaf was overly dry. The vegetable, (broccoli) was seasoned with a spice mixture, crisp tender, and quite tasty. Total bill, Including tip, was just under $100.

Nice view, but food was not good

By Lisa M |

Very greasy and poor quality food made this lunch stop a dud. I ordered halibut fish & chips and he ordered cod fish & chips. The fish tasted like it was old or had been frozen too long before serving. The batter was like a brown greasy sponge that we both had to peel off in order to get a few bites of tasteless fish with a dry but mushy texture.

Great for happy hour

By CaliforniaDreamin401 |

Awesome oyster shooter and $3 fish chowder. Limited happy hour drink specials but enough to make our group of 4 happy. Had a deck with water views but no waiter service on the patio (we were there in mid Aug). I would go back just for the shooters and chowder!!!

early dinner

good location next the great wheel. service was good but food service was a bit slow. good location with focus on seafood from the local area. great chowder.. worth it..

Great Pkace & Great Location

By ecgentry62 |

After going to the Pike Market we walked down by the piers, went in to the Fisherman's seafood restaurant & were defiantly not disappointed. We had a nice table outside looking out over the pier & bay. The food was great as well as the service. I would recommend.

Stick a fork in this place

By Tony F |

I gave it a 2 because our waiter was great... OVER price, and below-average food. On our first night in Seattle and we wasted 110.00 for 2 people. PLUS they add 3% surcharge on top of everything else, NOTHING is mentioned on the menu about this. The decor has seen better days, I had the steam clams, the average size of the clams was less than the size of a quarter. Hubby got Fish and Chips (Alaska halibut) $25... NOT worth it.

Tourist trap

By Michelle A |

My family and I were visiting Seattle before a cruise and were hungry when visiting Seattle’s waterfront. Naturally, you would think to yourself this must be the place to eat seafood (hence the name and location next to the water). I normally don’t write bad reviews but my first impressions wasn’t a good one. First the dishes weren’t cleaned properly. I saw food particles still on glasses and cutlery. Second, we asked for an outside table. But they put my dad (who is in a wheelchair) directly in the sun. When we asked to switch, it wasn’t still in a good spot. Our server wasn’t also very helpful. We needed refills on this hot day and we saw only two tables in his section. But we saw other parties (particularly of a certain privileged race) getting served properly and quickly than our table. To top it off, the food wasn’t what you would expect next to a waterfront with such a high price tag. So to sum it up; If you’re a tourist. This is a tourist trap. You’re better off finding quality food at pikes Market. To the managers please check your staff. I didn’t want to complain since i was already tired and the heat would’ve not made my suggestions received properly.

Pricey but worth it

By ConfederateMike |

Celebrated our son’s birthday here. I tried the 3-course special with steelhead trout and it was delicious. My son’s choice was filet mignon - excellent choice also. Whatever you do get the mud pie for dessert. It was outstanding.

Disappointing!

By Corrib |

We had walked in along the seafront passing numerous seafood restaurants, and radomly chose this one. Admittedly great position and ambiance, but afraid the food let it down somewhat.

Spur of the moment

By Laura S |

Our first visit to Seattle. We didn’t have a reservation but four of us were seated outside for a delicious seafood dinner and some cold local draft beer. The waiter was attentive and informative about the menu. Gave us east coasters a great impression of the city!

Great location does not mean good food.

By Cathy D |

Extremely expensive food but low quality. The clam chowder was too peppery, not creamy and almost all potato. Salma on was tasteless and dry. The clams were overcooked and all soothing at the bottom of the bucket. Each clam shell was empty.

Nice place

By Martha E |

Great food, huge desserts, so if you order a dessert make sure your sharing with at least 3 people. My husband and I shared the mud pie and we could have easily shared with a 3rd person. I had the halibut with rice pilaf and asparagus. It was fantastic.

Location!

By Morgan F |

Great location! Attentive service as well as good selection of local beer. Menu is awesome, full of great options, even vegetarian!

Nice location

By Keith N |

Food was good but not worth the price you pay. The clam chowder had a weird taste. The service was great. Our server was very helpful with things todo and he help us out with knowing how to get to Sacco Park.

Pricey and a little cramped - but the views were fabulous

By seacolumbus |

Turned up at 2:30pm on June 23 wanting a light lunch. In the outside ground floor dining area, a strip of 4 tables had been separated off for people not wanting a full menu or just wanted drinks and these were a bit tight on each other. It was right next to the exit gates of the ferris wheel, but this did not unduly impact us. We had a shrimp taco and a crab cocktail - both of which were fresh and served promptly. The food is expensive, but you pay for vista which was wonderful on such a sunny day.

Lovely visit

By 229explor229 |

Food was fantastic! Loved the chowder dish as well as the spicy seafood options!! The location looks over the harbour which was great considering the temp was over 30c!!! Staff were amazing!

Disappointing Service and Food was not worth the Price

By DP_42_Towel |

I'd never been here before, but I was playing tour guide to family friends from out of the area, and this place won out for three reasons: * They wanted seafood. * We wanted to ride the wheel. * The were able to accommodate our party of 10. I wanted to give a good review, especially with how well things started. The hostess quoted a max of 45 mins wait, and they got us in in just under 30 mins. Nice! Plastic chairs and tables? Oh well. The view was fantastic, and we were all impressed with the view of the water, and the ships coming in and out. The waitress came by within 10 minutes and got everyone's order, and she offered to bring the kid's food first. Also nice! And when the kid's meals came out shortly after, we were thinking, "This is going to be a good service experience." That's when the wheels came off ... We were enjoying the beautiful weather, the lovely view, and chatting ... when my oldest daughter said, "Hasn't it been a while since the waitress has been here?" I told her that I was sure the waitress would be back soon, but I glanced at my watch to check the time. 46 minutes. That's how long it was from THAT time to when our food came out (so who knows how long it actually was, but it was easily an hour). The younger kids were way past the point of being squirrely by the time we got our food. We were way past hungry by the time we began eating ... and found the food to be cold! And not cold as in, "Oh, this isn't as hot as I'd like it" kind of cold. I'm talking cold like, "This seems like they had it in the refrigerator a minute before it arrived! Grilled salmon and other hot entrees shouldn't be like that! 42 minutes. That's how long we waited after asking the waitress for the check. And that's not counting how long we had been waiting before I went downstairs to talk to the hostess and ask for our waitress--or anyone--to come because our waitress never came back to check on us, ask if we needed anything, etc. She was just gone! So yes, you read this right, we were at the restaurant just shy of 3 hours this last Saturday! Not coming back again, and I strongly suggest walking by to any one of the other incredible places with the same beautiful view!

Lovely Lunch

By Ninette B |

We ate outside next to the waterfront and our server was VERY knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the FRESHEST fish they had. Definitely worth the stop and the price. We enjoy quieter more laid back eating establishments and this was just wonderful.

Don’t EAT Here!

By Tom Davenport |

Worst fish and chips I have ever had. Service was just OK. Long John Silver would have been better and a lot less expensive. My wife had clam chowder in a bread bowl and it was OK but not great. Expected much better at the Seattle wharf.

Delicious Seafood Experience

By JDSoui |

Had a late lunch downtown and the ambiance and service was attentive. Jared did a nice job with order and continuing to check in to see if everything was fine. The crab dip was delicious as was the fish and chips. The clam chowder in the bread bowl was phenomenal. The views and a pleasant day with quality food made it a nice dining experience.

All good for lunch

By jerseymariner |

After a ride on the wheel we sat outside here for some lunch. Had a few apps and a couple of beers recommended by our server. Everything came out fast and was well presented. The beers were as described and ice cold. Overall a nice experience in a comfortable setting.

Not worth the good location

By 614emilyn |

We were hoping for a decent dinner on the water with a good view for our last meal on our trip. The service was poor and the food was mediocre.

Great location!

By 46oceangirl |

We were in Seattle for 1 day/night before heading on a cruise. We stopped here after visiting pike market. It’s on the waterfront right by the Ferris wheel. It was Friday afternoon, mid day. We came here as the weather was absolutely beautiful. Sat outside. We ordered drinks upstairs by the bar and st outside in the designated spot overlooking the sound. Service was excellent. Generous pour of wine. Lots of,people, were having lunch and the food looked amazing. We were only here for drinks. We’d go back for drinks.

Excellent clam chowder and Halibut fish and chips!

By Kurt J |

This is the one place we went to twice during our trip to Seattle. We had the same thing each time: clam chowder and Halibut fish & chips. Both were excellent!

Best in Seattle

By Jennifer N |

Fantastic! Location was great, right on the water and next to the Wheel. Prices are a bit high but all the restaurants in this area are the same. Stopped in for lunch my husband had chowder, salad and oysters (they were really fresh). I had the Prawn skewers, the meal was great. Two days later we went back for dinner. Ordered a lot of appetizers, chowder, calamari and a bucket of mussels. Staff was very attentive. Wished we lived closer as we would be there a lot.

I can't recommend this location

By 50statestraveler |

We were excited to eat at The Fisherman's as we are from Southern California and visit the location in San Clemente frequently. Unfortunately this location was a let down. It has a great location on the pier right next to the giant ferris wheel. We got there early and were seated promptly on the patio. As many restaurants, they were understaffed. It took a long time before our server approached us. 45 minutes before we received our cocktails and even longer before we received our food. Our cocktails were delicious but the Jumbo Prawns were horrible! First of all they were not Jumbo (refer to my picture) , secondly they were mushy and the cocktail sauce was extremely watery. I can not recommend them at this location. The sourdough bread did not taste like sourdough. It was dry and flavorless. My salad, however; was delicious. It has a great location but I won't be returning.

Crab crab crab love it

By Stacy S |

We went because we wanted Seafood and had a coupon for a free appetizer. I had the crab boil and it was delicious. Like a low country boil but with 3 different types of crab. Highly recommend. Crab dip and sourdough bread Is good too. Great views of the water and boats going by.

THE FISHERMAN'S RESTAURANT

By mike s |

Good quality cocktails and beers. The lady bartender was very friendly Clam Chowder was good in fact one of the best we had in Seattle.

expensive

By Bill K |

We came here because the crab pot was too long of a wait and we had tickets for a bay cruise to attend (could not wait). The food was good but IMO it's possible to get just as good at a much better value. No wonder there was no wait.

Just what we wanted and needed!!

By Diane N |

Stopped over in Seattle on way to Whidby and remembered the clam chowder in a bread bowl. Had come here many times in the past so was delighted that it was still open. Enjoyed some waterfront doing and drinks. Waitress was amazing!! Seafood was fresh and delicious!!

Worst meal Ive had in Seattle

By Greatlostbear |

I expected a lot more from this place, given it's location and surrounding restaurants. I had the clam chowder it was ok, nothing spectacular. The bread was old and not fresh. I ordered a smoked salmon salad. It's flavor wasn't completely terrible but it was full of the ends of the lettuce which are hard and inedible. The chairs and tables outside are something to work on too. The chairs are a cheap plastic and the table s covered in a cheap and dirty covering. Overall this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not return. I do not recommend this place.

How can you change someone's reservation day of and not even have the courtesy to call

By Diane S |

We made a reservation months ago and had to pay in advance. The day of our reservation after we were already in Seattle with the birthday girl and her best friend we received an email changing our reservation to next weekend. When I responded to the email that that did not work for us I got back a confirmation for next weekend. I have called, left messages and no one responds, only automated responses with the new reservation that does not work for us.

Waitress issue. Helpful Manager

By Bliss2312 |

So, we had a meal at The Fisherman’s Restaurant. All was mainly fine, apart from at the end of the meal when we had paid, my Mum in Law was left on her own at the table, and the waitress came up to her and said she should have charged us more as we were a party of 7 (but, 3 of which were toddlers). We had left a tip, in line with local practice, but the waitress demanded that my Mum in Law pay another $20. The manager was unaware of this practice, when asked, and said she would take it up with the waitress immediately. Very helpful Manager, very poor waitress.

AMAZING Crab Dip and Salmon

By kirby |

This was a final stop on our trip and it didn’t disappoint! Our server was attentive without being intrusive and the food was delicious. I would DEFINITELY recommend the crab dip appetizer and the crab Mac and cheese. We also got the special salmon dish that was just caught the day before and it didn’t disappoint. Would absolutely eat here if we returned on vacation.

Loved It!

By Scott N |

We stopped around 3:00 on a Wednesday and were pressed for time. We had the house smoked salmon and it was fantastic. The service was over the top and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. If I ever have to be in Seattle again I will eat here.

Just Going Through the Motions

By Joel H |

We ate dinner here during a quick 2-day trip to Seattle with some friends. It was not a good experience. Sure, the location is great and the atmosphere is upbeat but our collective impression was that these guys are just going through the motions. The food took forever to come (over 70 minutes) and when it did it was definitely not worth the wait. The staff seemed largely unconcerned and even showed some attitude, saying things like "the food is taking longer than expected but it's a nice night right?" The bartender was rude too, brushing us off by saying "just hang on we'll get to you." We got the sense they are used to dealing with tourists with their bars set low. We asked for the manager to come to our table but he never showed up. Not even close to good enough.

Amazing Sunset View

By 31travel06 |

The food was so good. we started with a crab dip and chips...got to see the sunset going down and ordered a seafood pasta. Our waitress was on point. It did take a long time to get any of food but, it was made to order and came to our table hot and fresh! You can't closer to water front than this. It is right by the "Big Wheel". You can see it going around while you dine. We did walk and explore Seattle all day and man no better way to see an amazing sunset and unwind.

Excellent food and view

By JGW33782 |

First of all there is indoor and outdoor seating and there is an upstairs and downstairs inside. There are two bars, one at each floor. If you sit outside you will get a good view of the bay.

Exclent seafood with a view but prices above average

By Alona S |

Indeed a cosy place with amazing location close to Pike Market and next to Seattle Wheel. You can sit and relax while tasting seafood with a glass of local beer or wine. Democratic dress code and interior. The portions are big, seafood is fresh and very tasty, services are provided pretty fast. A good place for sharing dishes with your friends/family. We ordered Fisherman's feast (crab&shrimps) and despite were 4 persons the amount of food was more than enough. We picked up chowders, clams&mussels, big green salad, shrips with rice and crab (you can chose different dishes and share). The prices are above average in comparison with Europe (but actually almost the same as in other seafood restaurants in Seattle) but the experience was definitely worth it!

Food just OK & extra Surcharge

By bobo |

Right next to the Ferris Wheel & was wonderful outside on a warm evening, but the food was jsut OK. Our salmon came practicly uncooked, raw inside. They took it back but we had a long wait until it returned cooked. Ridiculous 2.5% surcharge Added to the bill not including the tip. Just not worth it!

Excellent

By Tanya B |

So first of all when I came to review this restaurant I am SURPRISED to see it only have 3.5… it was excellent! It is casual dining on the water with outdoor seating. We came for lunch. The best clam chowder!!!! We each had something different. Crab cakes and crab dip appetizer yum! I had the fish & chips, another had halibut & chips, another salmon salad, and another the wagyu burger. We all loved our meals. If I lived here I would visit frequently…

Mediocre Food with Terrible Wait Staff

By Jason B |

We had some time to kill before taking the ferry back.......we stopped here to grab something to eat (2 drinks, Ceasar Salad and Crab/Bacon Sandwich) the salad came out with a clump of dry fish with hardly any dressing and the sandwich was meh...the waiter only came to the table twice at the beginning and the end(when we called for the bill)...during our time at the establishment we heard 4 or 5 other table complaining about the food and service. Yuck spend your money someplace else!

Very enjoyable

By Gail O |

We sat outside under the revolving ferris wheel watching the ferries and enjoying the general ambience. We had clam chowder which was hot and extremely tasty, cobb salads which were huge and burgers with chips which were greatly enjoyed. The service was attentive and friendly. It was not cheap but you do not expect it to be when the site is a premium one on the water. I would not wish to sit inside as it seemed a bit stuffy but the outside area would be hard to beat and each table has its own gas heater for extra comfort.

Our trip back from Alaska

By Bryan C |

We spent the day in Seattle on our way back home from Alaska the food at the fisherman’s restaurant was great .It also has a great view of the water

Touristic

By BeachStone2C |

The restaurant has great views being right at the see front, and this the best part of the place. My steelhead was pretty good, quite small portion though. Wait was long, there seems to be more tables to served than there is staff for them. Service I felt was cursory at times.

Very good

By msgtp |

Taylor was a great server and his service/friendliness really made our lunch. The cioppino is fantastic, but the crab sandwich was very salty. Overall a nice lunch spot close to the giant Ferris wheel.

Terrible service and cold and expensive food

By Vuctoria C |

Terrible service, the expectation for an expensive restaurant is to get good service and excellent food They took a while to take the order They took a while to bring the food! The food arrived cold They never took away our dirty dishes (we did it) The waiter was rude and when calling the manager he was worse, more rude Don't go it's a tourist trap Save your money or spend at another restaurant that meets your expectations of food and service for what you pay!

Easy to get a table, slow service

By larrygirlie |

We had a group of 5 adults and 4 kids. Pretty standard for an out of town family outing. Got a large table in the open air seating, pretty quickly. Ordered pretty quickly. Ran out of bread and drinks pretty quickly......and waited.....however, the food was pretty good. We had the lunch menu and ordered a variety, and everyone was satisfied, no complaints!

Avoid .... if you like good food!

By donfambhx |

What a shame - stunning views and great location but the food is awful. They advertise fresh fish - it tasted like frozen fish - high prices for poor quality. We ate salmon, rainbow trout and oysters and they were all disgusting. We would never go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Typical tourist trap.

Excellent

By Paula L |

We loved the place! Delicious food, great soup, delicious salmon, and spectacular people's attention!

So disappointed with the service and the food

By Birdie980 |

This restaurant was recommended, so was looking forward to the experience. We were sat straight away at a table of our choice as we were early. The waitress was informative when she gave us our menus. She returned to take our drinks order and then returned with our drinks to take our food order. We ordered a bottle of wine and intended to have a long lunch..... We ordered our appetisers and mains... the appetisers came out, we both had the Clam Chowder, it was ok but no the best we had tasted. Within 3 minutes of our appetisers arriving our mains meal arrived ... we hadn't even had three mouthful's of soup... we asked the waiter if he could take back the food and keep it warm he took it away ... 2 minutes later another waitress came out with the food... we asked her the same question she was irritated to say the least. Then a few minutes later the original waitress came back with the food ..literally as we finished our last mouthful of our appetiser .... The wine was left on the table even though we were told there would be a wine cooler for it but it did not arrive. Our mains were really awful, small portions, my cod were 2 pieces about 4" x 2" x 1/2 thick with fries and coleslaw and the fries were worse than a third rate take away. For the price we paid we felt it was extortionate. The staff are all very young and to be honest have no clue how to serve in a restaurant, which is obviously down to lack of training. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. A bad experience all round

Will definitely go back

By scott |

Spectacular spot for lunch or dinner. We tried several appetizers and all were delicious our favorite, at the recommendation of our waiter, was the Clam Chowder! So delicious, best we've ever had. The staff was very accommodating as we kept changing tables to try and get out of the rain, before finally giving up and moving inside. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Views!

By jamie m |

Fresh seafood, oysters, lobster 🦞 you name it. Indoor, outdoor seating, sunsets, on the water. Next to the The Wheel for beautiful views of the Seattle skyline. Upscale, and yet still casual. You will BE cracking your own crab lol 🦀 that said. Oysters were fresh, different varieties depending on season. Friendly hostesses and they take reservations. Lot of construction going on in front of them. That said it’s a little hard to find because of it. So leave a tad early.

Great value

By Rae Jean W |

Great place to enjoy the views. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for sitting outside on the water under the Ferris wheel!!! We were very happy!! My king salmon verde tacos were so good I forgot to take the pic before 1 was gone!!

Good seafood meal

By GerryBaron06 |

We picked this place because it looked like it could be a good meal and the line was not long. We had the Spicy Coconut Shrimp and a cup of the Fisherman's Chowder. The Chowder was quite good and full of seafood. The Shrimp appetizer had a bit of a bite but not too bad. We had the dinner portion of Halibut & Chips which was delicious. The Pomegranate Rum Runner was a tasty drink to accompany the meal.

Good meal

By APinkLady |

Good food in a lovely location, we visited on a hot day so got to sit outside on the patio. The chowder bread bowl was very good.

Average at best tourist trap

By TravelTaco |

The outdoor seating on a beautiful sunny day is only the reason I went there. I got one rotten raw oyster which I had to taste and spit out, 1 bad out of 3. I complained, and got another one without one apology and without any extra service to correct a bad situation. The oyster fork was even bent out of shape. The servers are too busy to care. So, recommend for drinks only if you want to sit near the bay, and you might get the right drinks. We didn’t, ugh!

NIce pub

By NauticalDreamer3010 |

After a long walking tour we arrived at this fine waterfront place just on happy hour. We were shown to a table outside where we ordered some beers and light food. The beer was cold and delicious and the fried oysters were a true delight. The service was very good too.

Wonderful meal.

By Lisa Ann W |

I highly recommend the Chowder! A bowl of the chowder with the bread is a full meal. The Chowder is rich, and full of flavor. It is full of crab. We also split the Crab boil. The King Crab was amazing! The decor of the restaurant is very comfortable and the view of the water adds an especially nice environment.

Great experience

By RoyceAnne S |

My wife had the halibut flash and chips. I had the platter. The food was great, the portions were very large, and the prices were reasonable. We sat “inside” which had a great view of the harbor. Our waiter was friendly and professional and the food came promptly. I highly recommend this place.

Good food

By Chris B |

Overall we had a very good meal. Fish and chips were very good, Crab and shrimp meal was excellent. Great views, eccentric waiter who was forgetful but overall pleasant.

Absolutely horrible!!

By Katrina C |

We went in for a dinner before a concert, we were seated at a table outside on the patio in the direct sunlight. My father who is 73 didn’t want to sick in the heat so we asked to switch, the restaurant wasn’t even close to being full. The very rude hostess said we would have to wait in the entrance for 35 minutes if we wanted to switch but a whole I believe was the manager said just switch them she very rudely told us to just move then. We were then told that we couldn’t sit at the table and they moved us inside which was fine and we were very polite to what seemed like a friendly server, this was not the case, her name was Star. She then told us there were other restaurants and we could go to one of them if we wanted to, which seemed very odd. We waited at the table for about 10 to 15 minutes before she came to take our order. Then another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks, my dad asked for a glass for his beer, waited 10 minutes, she never came back. By this point we’d been there an hour and hadn’t even gotten an appetizer. We noticed the table that we were kicked out of was sat with another group and the already had food. By this point we were livid and running out of time before we had to leave. We had to find the server who never came back to the table and asked for the bill for drinks and that we would not be eating there. She just said ok. I don’t believe she had even rung in any of our food, I have never in my life been treated so poorly at a restaurant! What was supposed to be a special family dinner turned into an absolute nightmare. I am disgusted by the way the staff treated us all but especially my senior father.

GREAT FOOD AND A GREAT VIEW!

Great service and great food. We ate outside and had an excellent view of the water. Our server was very kind and prompt. We ordered the crab dip and a spicy tuna roll, both were delicious.

Good food and service

We had a day out on the Puget and Aquarium and called on this place for a lunch and beer. My only grip was we were told there was a half hour wait, which we said we were ok with then we were told if we wanted to sit inside we could be seated right away? This confused me a bit? Apart from this the food and service was good. Plenty of menu options with a pier/boat type feel. Nice water views even from inside.

Do not go there!

Very disappointed in everything from start to finish. The location was terrible, the food was awful and the service was nonexistent. Our server never checked back on us once after receiving our meal. Part of our meal was cold. I will say the clam chowder was hot and good! The rest of the meal was overpriced for the quality. Would not recommend.

Eh

Cocktails are subpar. Everything is out dated and sad. 50 empty tables outside only for guest eating here. No one is eating here… all tables are empty and I can’t sit outside with my drink unless I order what “by the looks of this place” hasn’t passed a health department inspection in years.

Good but expensive

This place was great, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. It is a bit expensive. We sat outside and you could watch the harbor cruise boats going in and out. Really nice.

Just okay

Had dinner here. Location is great; view of the bay beautiful. Comfortable indoor or outdoor seating. Service is ok, a bit impersonal. Nice selection of dishes. Prices are mid range. However the food itself was just okay. Not bad, but not exciting. Would probably look elsewhere given the opportunity to return to Seattle.

Great Place

Stopped for lunch and went back for happy hour. Great views of the bay, inside and outside. Next to the Great Wheel.

Very good food

Great food. Very nice atmosphere. Had a rain drop, a drink. That was very good. It's right on the wharf, overlooking Puget sound.

Next to the Ferris Wheel

Tourist restaurant by the Ferris Wheel along the waterfront. Good service, nice view. Indoor and outdoor seating. They have heaters for outdoors if it’s chilly. Mostly a seafood menu. The Mac and Cheese is very good. A little pricey.

Late Night Bite

By Mitch B |

We came in late at night, after flying across country for a cruise the next day. The food was surprisingly good, the atmosphere was lively and the server was very friendly. We all had the halibut fish and chips, and the food was good, but it could have been warmer when they served it. The fish was better than the fries which were cold when they arrived.

Excellent Seafood

Very nice place for local seafood. We had the crab dip which was delicious. Good selection of local beers. My husband thought the fish tacos were a little dry but the fish & chips were good. Good atmosphere and quick service.
