Love it. Great place to meet. Popular spot. I recommend that you make a stop here. When you think of breakfast what are the 3 key items top of mind? 1) Bacon; 2) Eggs; 3) Some potatoes or flour based item. They nailed points number #2 & #3. Common on FLYING BISCUIT CAFE! You nailed everything except the skimpy bacon. Ouch! Note. No photos. Fix the bacon dilemma then you'll have my LOVE 4Life The Flying Biscuits!

I finally made it to the heralded Flying Biscuit for breakfast. This restaurant has great service and even better grits. I would absolutely eat here again!!

We love visiting The Flying Biscuit when we are having our cars repaired. The multigrain pancakes are a must. Everything on the menu is fantastic!

Brought to this cafe as a favorite of our host and totally enjoyed the experience! The food was plentiful, tasty and our server Spencer was attentive and pleasant! Have never been a fan of “grits” but if I had known how “dreamy” theirs were I would have ordered my own bowl!!!

Went for breakfast and found this restaurant below average. Ordered the bacon/eggs/potatoes and biscuit for $9.99. They serve the food on a small plate with everything crowded together. My scrambled eggs were cooked a bit too much. The bacon was so overcooked it crumbled in many pieces when you ate it. I sent my potatoes back because they were not hot. The server replaced them with hot ones off the grill, The best part of my $9.99 breakfast was the biscuit with apple butter. With coffee I paid $13.85 for what I feel is a $7.99 breakfast excluding coffee, at other restaurants similar to the Flying Biscuit. Doubt I will go back.

Visited on a Sunday morning and it was great! Had about a 20 minute wait and food was a little slow but service was good and food was worth the wait! Good biscuits, bacon was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed!

The food was excellent. I had the High Flyer. It comes with a pancake, a biscuit, grits, chicken sausage, and eggs.

The hostess was very welcoming & nice. The wait was not long. The server was very friendly and attentive. The place had unique fun decor. The food was good although I prefer egg harbor but I'd definitely come back. I liked that there was healthy options. Everything was cooked to perfection. No complaints

We went to the Flying Biscuit twice on our recent visit to Atlanta. Both meals were outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service on both days we visited were awesome. You can walk from your hotel or park in the parking garage. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validated as it gives you 2 hours free parking. I would recommend the Flying Biscuit to anyone.

Service was decent. We didn't have to wait to be seated at 930 am on a Thursday. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was trendy. Lots of gluten free, organic choices. Apple butter, turkey bacon, chicken sausage was good. Biscuits, grits were so-so. They were already out of french toast by the time we ordered. Oatmeal pancakes tasted like plain oatmeal with not enough water and left sitting on a plate for an hour. It was a little bit of a letdown after reading such great reviews.

On a recent trip, we stopped in for breakfast at the flying biscuit. We had heard good things about it from some locals. My gut told me to leave when I saw the menu, but I stayed and ordered the bacon and egg biscuit. I swapped grits for potatoes. When the food came, my order was wrong as I had grits as the side, but they quickly corrected it. The plate came as the individual ingredients not a biscuit with egg and bacon on it. The eggs and potatoes needed salt. The biscuit was the best part as it was light and fluffy. Overall, nothing was very flavorful.

Very cute but dangerous place!!! lol 😂 everything is SO good!!!! Strawberry cream cheese stuffed French toast, hangover breakfast (even though he’s not hungover lol 😂 says it’s SO delicious!!!! Waitress is very nice n sweet! Flying Biscuit Cafe #flyingbiscuit #NashvilleFoodies #RestaurantReview #NashvilleBlogger #TravelBlogger

This is such a great breakfast place! We came here a few years back on a trip to Atlanta and we loved our breakfast here. The service was great and the food was excellent overall; the eggs, grits, sausage gravy, home fries, and biscuits were delicious and the meal was very affordable. I hope this place is just as good as it was and we would definitely come back on our next trip to Atlanta!

We have loved Flying Biscuit for years and always stop when we are in ATL. I am so disappointed that they have stopped making the actual "flying biscuits" and started serving what seems to be a frozen Pillsbury biscuit! They've gone from butter on the tables to whipped margarine. Everything else was ok, but not great like it has been in the past. We own a restaurant ourselves so this is the kind of info I'd like to know! Bring back the quality and we will be back!

Excellent service, amazing food with excellent vegan options. I got the tofu scramble wrap. It came with grits and a biscuit. Out of curiosity, I also ordered the dusted potatoes. Delightful. So much food we ended up sharing. A great Mother's Day breakfast with my family!

The French Toast was fantastic with 2 delicious sauces to pour on top. I am quite a snob about orange juice and the one here is quite good - fresh squeezed, a bit of pulp, and very sweet. The cheesey grits were good and so was the biscuit. I heard people raving about the moon potatoes (basically they are diced potatoes) and I thought they were just ok.

Found this gem after another member of our party mentioned as a “must try.” Been coming to Atlanta for years and this was my first time here. Wow, what a menu!! Tried the Egg-Stravaganza and wasn’t disappointed. Colorful, whimsical and welcoming decor. Grits are amazing! Breakfast all day and many, many options. Show up hungry... lots of good breakfast items it’s so hard to choose. Parking is a bit of a headache but don’t let the deter you.

We visited on a Sunday morning and they were super busy. Took awhile to seat us and even longer wait for our food to arrive. However, our server was the best waitress we had all weekend and once the food did arrive it did not disappoint. Looking forward to returning so I can try some more menu items!!

Staff was so friendly and kind. Excellent breakfast. Grits are to die for. Pancakes were perfect. Highly recommend.

French toast was amazing. The portions are large and it is worth the wait. Biscuits are a must with the jam.

My French friend wanted to try a "real Southern breakfast," so I brought her here. To put it mildly, we were NOT disappointed. Portions are big, and everything is delicious, but the very best part was the service. I so wish I had paid attention to our server's name, because I would love to give her a personal shout out for being wonderful, but everyone working was super friendly. This place really embodies that famous Southern hospitality (and I'm FROM the South!) -- warm and welcoming, but still giving you enough space to enjoy yourself. I can't wait for my dance workshop to come around again so I can come back!

Come hungry …. Big portions! Per the webpage, it is a Southern Inspired Breakfast Restaurant with lots of regionally inspired dishes. We loved the big biscuits!

We LOVED this restaurant. Bright and loud and fun. The service was terrific on each of our 3 breakfast visits. But... The food is so indescribably good. The biscuits are amazing, and everything we tried was fantastic. The Eggs Benedict were a real standout. I've eaten more Eggs Benedict in my time than...., well, Benedict and these were far and away the best and most interesting. Starting with the fantastic biscuit in lieu of an english muffin, then their special bacon, then a layer of - wait for it - Pimento Cheese! Then the eggs - perfectly cooked - and finally a fabulous Hollandaise sauce. Sounds funky, is funky - but FANTASTIC. After the first visit, I immediately ordered both of their cookbooks, and have enjoyed the results tremendously. I cannot wait to return. Bravo Flying Biscuit! Bravo.

Our adult son took us here: Known for it's biscuits, it did not disappoint. We all had some kind of egg dish. I got the grits as a side. Hands down, the best grits I have EVER had. Creamy and delicious. Our waitress said she never liked grits until she had them there. And the biscuit was good too.

They have the best grits ever! I have no idea what is in them but they are amazing. The service was great and the prices were moderate. I also noticed there were a lots of gluten free, organic choices. Even though this place is named flying biscuit, it makes you think the biscuit are great, however they were not . The top and bottom was very hard, seemed stale each time( we ate there twice ). We only ate the middle of the biscuit. Overall this place I recommend , especially the grits.

We stopped for lunch based on other reviews and was happy we did. Fast, friendly service and the egg sandwich we had was delicious!

Walked over with family from Grand Hyatt. It's like 50yards from the door. Busy restaurant, clean, food was served fast and was all prepared to order. Service was great everyone enjoyed their meals. Portions were just right. Great experience and will definitely return.

Great home made food ! Service was excellent and the food is so so much better !! Fast food but home made taste ... Love it

I love their French toast and Egg White Salmon scramble. If you want a hearty, healthy breakfast-this is the perfect place!

This is a good place to eat a nice, southern breakfast. Service was fast and nice. My only complaint is about their operation hours; sure it opens really early, but I would have liked to have it as an option for early dinner and they close at 3:00!!!

Lousy coffee, crappy pancakes and the worst syrup and fruit stuff ever. Don’t know where all the great reviews come from, maybe people are comparing this place to a Waffle House.

Good classic breakfast food southern style. Every time I've gone it's been packed had to wait at least 40 minutes food is normally delivered within 20. That's not a negative that's just reality this particular restaurant is busy because it's good and it's simple

We were in town for a weekend getaway and I heard great things about this place; it didn't disappoint. Delicious breakfast, grits were on point as was everything else. I would come back again and again.

We loved this place! We ate here 3 times over our weekend in the area! The service was OFF THE CHART!!! The iced chai tea was yummy, sweet tea (yes please) , DREAMY grits was a perfect name, the pancakes were delicious... and then the decision to have oatmeal pancake or buttermilk??? French toast was off the charts.... chicken gravy and biscuits was incredible.... I loved the apple butter too... the atmosphere was fun and upbeat, even bought a shirt❤️In my opinion- this is a must do when in the Buckhead area!!

The food in this place is great, fresh, modern, with a taste of home, Jacksonville, fl needs a flying biscuit.

Love this place. My second visit, as I go once a year for a yearly event in Atlanta. Always good service and exceptionally good food. Looking forward to next year for breakfast!

Good food. Good service. The chicken sausage is really good. I got the eggstravaganza. Everything was good.

Biscuits and the fresh jam are delicious as well as the Southern Scramble with collard greens. Cheese grits are stone ground and very tasty.

Busy but friendly and comfortable. Thee best Grits I've had!!! I went home and looked up the recipe. Wonderful breakfast with a lovely Mimosa on the side. Very nice and friendly atmosphere as well.

I was in town visiting for a high school reunion. I came in town a day earlier so I could spend time with friends. When looking on Trip advisor for a place for lunch this place came up with good reviews and it was in walking distance. I remembered the original one in little five points I think it was and was happy to see them expand so we decided to try it out. It was about 12 on a Saturday and the place was crowded. Waited about 20 mins. There was a sign that stated they sold beer however, I never saw anything on the menu or on the counter/ bar. We had 3 people ask for our drinks, then it seemed like no on knew who had the table. It took then another 10mins or so to take our order, but again it wasn't a waitress, she just happen to walk by and said she would take our order. She tried to memorize it but that didn't turn out to well. As I asked for light lettuce and tomato on the tacos and it didn't come out that way. It took over 30 mins to get our check and we were done eating just sitting waiting. All those people stopped by earlier to get drinks and order were now no where to be found. They would walk by but no body would stop. Food was good though.

The Flying Biscuit Cafe has both table and counter seating. I sat at the counter. Unfortunately, every time the door opened a blast of cold air came in. An issue I have with many Atlanta restaurants. The menu here offers a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. Breakfast is served all day. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict and it was dreadful. The worst I've ever eaten. Everything from the Hollandaise Sauce to the Canadian bacon was bad. If you're a breakfast place and you can't make a proper Eggs Benedict you shouldn't serve it. Grits came with the meal, why I don't know. No other item was offered. The only positive, was that the service was friendly. A disappointing breakfast.

Wonderful place....excellent grits and collards (and they're are meatless which is great for vegetarians). And the biscuits and homemade jam is wonderful. I can see why they are all over the place.

Service was great . The only thing hot on both our plates were the grits. The grits are very good ! But my eggs, French toast, sausage were all cold. My husbands gravy and biscuits were not hot and he felt like the biscuits were a tad stale. Overall sadly disappointed especially when we were told to try it.

This place was phenomenal, from the food to our waitress at the counter top bar. She was real friendly and quick with taking care of everybody sitting there. The biscuits and turkey gravy melted in our mouths. We will be back when in this area.

I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely revisit when in Atlanta. A good selection of fresh eats

Okay I have never been a grits person but holy moly, these were amazing. Their cranberry apple butter was amazing too. Best breakfast spot. You have to go!

Menu looked great, excited about this place. Service was very laid back, sat with empty water glasses for 15-20 minutes. That was after we told waitress we needed fill ups. Food was very tasty. Well presented. Took it quite a long time to get from kitchen to table, but it was a bit busy and food was fresh. We will go back when it's less busy to get better svc.

This place is wonderful! I'm not big on eating grits from many places but this knocked my socks off! I do wish they gave a bigger serving of them. There was virtually no wait time. The drinks were pricy almost the same cost of a meal. It was walking distance from our hotel, so that was a plus!

Yummy turkey "hash" was actually stringy delicious turkey tucked under two "medium" cooked eggs laid atop the best breakfast potatoes. I NEVER eat hash browns, home fries or any other type of breakfast potato but I enjoyed every morsel of these herbed perfectly cooked cubes. Biscuit was fluffy and the cranberry apple butter was a delicious complement. Grits were to die for. Service was friendly. Only negative was the confusion caused by the fact that we were meeting someone and apparently there are two Flying Biscuits in Buckhead. It would be nice if they were referred to with distinctive names on their website and on Trip Advisor.

There was a total of 6 of us , and place was busy but not packed easy laid back fun restaurant service was a little slow at first but after warming up the waiter with conversation it became better food was good pancakes were good biscuits are great with apple butter must have all in all good place for breakfast and valet was free they validate... all six ate with no complaints which is rare in my family .....lol

Yes, they are a chain in Atlanta but it was SOOO GOOD. I was looking for some good biscuits and grits and they had it. Their basic breakfast with the chicken sausage filled me up. Yes, the grits were SEASONED properly! Hard to find at many restaurants. I will go back when I return to Atlanta.

Visit the flying biscuit for breakfast every time I'm in Atlanta. Friendly staff, excellent food, and amazing biscuits!

We were in a rush and this place is next to the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead where we were staying. It was a delight. Everything was great tasting and the service was superb.

Friendly staff. Clean. Excellent ambiance. Large, tasty portions. Vegetarian options. I love the Flying Biscuit! I can see it's a popular place. During my 3 day stay in Atlanta, I had breakfast there every day.

The food is good , love the biscuits and the grits. But the service is Very spotty between mediocre most of the time and then we get a good server every third time. We have been there when it is not crowed and still had to wait to even asked if we want coffee. The place is close by so want it to succeed but not if the service does not get better

Staying in The Grand Hyatt in Buckhead and wanted basically a brunch. This restaurant was literally right outside our door. The food was delicious. I loved the decor and the service was great! This was a great find and we will definitely be back!

Found this breakfast spot close to Grand Hyatt. Great food. Service very attentive Despite just steps from hotel did not see Flying Biscuit due to poor signage. Would recommend way to let potential clients know that heavenly food is close by.

My husband favorite breakfast in Atlanta. The pancakes are delicious but our favorite is the chicken sausage gravy biscuit with scrambled eggs!

I visited here while passing thru town based on Trip Advisor reviews. It lived up to the great comments! Around noon on a Friday, it wasn't packed but pretty full. I sat at the counter after an invite from the friendly hostess/server. Had to try the namesake biscuit with house made apple cranberry butter. It was fluffy and wonderful. I also had the Breakfast Bowl that included the 'creamy dreamy grits' (which also lived up to their name), traditional pork bacon substituted for the turkey bacon, oven fried green tomato, a fried egg, and topped with salsa. Very tasty!! Although the salsa was a bit lacking for this Texas gal. The waitress kept my tea glass filled and was very friendly to all. It was a great experience!

Great brunch and breakfast cafe. Great for families. A children's favorite. Pancakes and eggs a must.

I really enjoyed the food served here. Some good classics as well as some Southern style classics. The service was really good and the staff attentive.

The Flying Biscuit is just right for an early morning breakfast to start a busy day. The biscuit is the star of the menu, serving as tasty side to all breakfast dishes. A western omelet the first morning and the traditional two eggs over with bacon and hash browns on the second were very good -- tasty and cooked to order -- both with biscuits topped with butter and honey and good coffee. Pretty good wait staff. Moderately priced meals served in a room full of interestingly decorated walls.

It was good. It’s not your standard fast food breakfast it, feels like home cooking. The biscuits was a little dry but it was still good. They had this raspberry sauce that was so good it can go on anything and take the taste meter up another level. I will for sure go here again.

Whenever I come visit my daughter in college we always try new spots. This came highly recommended. The day we went is was rainy and they were packed. They had us wait in the bakery until a table was available. We only waited a few minutes. There must have been short staffed because there was 1 guy serving as host and seating people and getting people from the bakery. He handled it well. We were served promptly. The grits are dangerously good. Due to food allergies I couldn't eat the entire serving but I definitely wanted to. We will be back.

Great breakfast place! Best service I have had in the area during my trip. Awesome pimento cheese and biscuits!

I normally eat at the Piedmont location when I visit Atlanta but I decided to give this spot a try. I was so happy with the food and service here I might have to make this my go to location. The only issue I had was that it was 4 of us and the table we were dining at was a little bit uncomfortable because the tables are a little close. This was not a major issue though and did not prevent us from enjoying the food not one bit. The grits are the best... I love em and the biscuits ... I'm making myself hungry writing this review.

Everything about this visit was meh. Sat outside and server took 10+ minutes to come see us. She said she was busy. A server should never tell guests that they are busy. I ordered a burger and it was meh. The grilled mac and cheese sounds interesting but its anything but. Can’t imagine with all the options around here I will go back.

Oh now that they have franchised the fun has gone. The food tasted warmed over and a little stale. Like franchises whose food isn't prepared onsite but prepared, frozen, and shipped over. Oh and that service that didn't care. Server didn't greet us enthusiastically, was monotone, didn't check to see if we needed anything, and left dirty plates on table to fester until after we left. The great food and fun are gone from what was once a unique new concept, but if you need a reliable place that's not busy for a meal, and you are in terminus, I'd recommend it. Oh and they validate parking.

The Flying Biscuit has been in the metro Atlanta area for several years that I am aware of and I have had the opportunity to go to several different locations. I must say that for a chain all of these are good food at a decent price. This location is not any different. Good food at a decent price.

This was not a Denny's. They had a creative menu which had a large number of healthy choices. I had the Clifton Omelet and my wife had the Cali Dreamer. Both were outstanding! The service was great. We would go again.

The best breakfast in Atlanta. Great Buckhead location and the food is always top notch. The best grits I've ever had!

A little high on carbo-heavy items, nevertheless The Flying Biscuit Cafe offers very good food, a creative menu, good coffee, juices and also the usual breakfast/lunch items. The restaurant atmosphere gives one the sense of an island. The waitstaff service was good.

I broke one of my cardinal rules of travel by coming here all three days we were in town, because of the grits. They really are the best I’ve ever had. The place gets four stars for the grits and biscuits-everything else is three stars. First morning I had the Southern Style Biscuit Benedict. It was a little colder than lukewarm. The waitress graciously took it back to heat it, and explained that this dish’s temperature is inconsistent because it is made with cold pimiento cheese. When it came back, the cheese was totally melted and hot, but the eggs were still lukewarm in places. I would not recommend this. The second morning I tried the Breakfast Bowl-“Two oven-fried green tomatoes, crisp turkey bacon and two eggs over medium served atop a bowl of our award-winning creamy dreamy grits and topped with a warm homemade red salsa.” Get the salsa and tomatoes on the side. The tomato breading was soggy from the moisture of the other ingredients, and the salsa tasted like pureed tomatoes. Ask for a bottle of hot sauce instead. The last morning I had the Bacon and Eggs Breakfast, which was the best of the three mornings. They substituted pork bacon for the turkey. The first and third mornings, the service was excellent. Both waitresses were friendly and attentive. The waiter on the second day never checked back to see how things were, and I had to get butter from an empty table myself. Overall, I recommend.

First time visitor. Food was great - biscuits are nice and fluffy. We did visit on a Saturday morning, and there was a wait, but only approx 20 min. And you can order drinks and pastries to go while you wait. Service was good, or food did take a really long time, partly due to several groups and large families there, but our waitress handled it reasonably well and did comp our drinks. Overall, good experience.

We ate here for breakfast during our stay at The Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. I ordered the Southern Style Eggs Benedict, which was a biscuit, homemade pimento cheese, bacon, poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce- so rich and perfect! And their grits are the best! My husband had the pancakes and bacon which he said were great as well. They offer breakfast all day, plus have a yummy looking lunch menu. We'll be back for sure!

The three of us was seated immediately. Rene was our server and she was courteous and efficient. The water for our two teas wasn't hot enough and she fixed the problem right away. Two of us ordered bacon and eggs and one ordered the waffle breakfast. Orders came out fast and tasted really good. The biscuits were very good too. There was plenty of free parking . We would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant.

Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed and chill. It was a great spot for a cheaper but good breakfast or lunch. The food was delicious and the biscuits were amazing! Great coffee beverages also available.

The namesake restaurant was good but the chicken sausage patties were hard as bricks. The service was great and coffee was kept full. Eggs were not scrambled light enough but that may be regulated. The place is in a food court but you do not get that feeling.

Had Brunch with a friend. I had a grilled chicken salad with spinach, walnuts, cranberries, feta cheese with raspberry vinaigrette. It came with the most delicate biscuit - it probably could float through the air - and a wonderful jam. It was Yummy. The servicer was JT. He was attentive but not a bother. The food was served quickly. I was so busy eating my brunch I really did not pay attention to the egg dish and grits my friend was eating.

Great Service, Great price, and better food. First time eating at Flying biscuit, got there right before the crowd at 9:30 am.

A friend recommended this restaurant and it was even better than what she described. My family truly enjoyed it. Everything was tasty and the best was kids ate free Monday thru Friday. We were there during the week, so this was our breakfast spot each day. They have the BEST grits. I have no idea what they put in them, but they were the best I have ever had...and I am picky about my grits. The atmosphere was kind of eclectic, but that's what made it so cool. Everyone was friendly and very willing to help and make sure you had what you needed. The biscuits stole the show along with the cranberry apple butter that is served with it. My goodness...absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for anyone who can appreciate a good biscuit!!!!

I stopped in had shrimp n grits, the shrimp is blackened and spicy, comes with a biscuit and apple butter, nice decor, fast service, interesting menu items, I will try the oatmeal pancakes on my next visit.

We had a large group on Sunday morning but they worked hard to get us all seated. Overall food was good and waitress was very nice and efficient. One order of pancakes was cold, they didn't eat them so they took them off the menu. Small bar where you can sit first come first serve. I got the Piedmont omelette. Very good. Others in group got scramble eggs and bacon, grits (excellent), French toast and pancakes. Other than the cold pancakes very nice experience.

I've never been a fan of grits but the words dreamy creamy grits intrigued me and they did not disappoint. Delicious! Great breakfast, service and prices

I've read many reviews on TA that say Flying Biscuit is the best breakfast in the city. Well, I've only had 1 breakfast in Atlanta and if that statement is true that Atlanta has the worst breakfast in the country. Not that FB is bad. It's just very average. As in, nothing special. As in, if this is the best, the rest must be pretty awful. Don't buy the hype!

We were happy to find this location of the Flying Biscuit in Buckhead. I hadn't been to one in years and looked forward to enjoying breakfast. I have April Moon's cookbook and am a big fan. It was not as good as I remember. Service was slow. My coffee didn't come until the end of the meal. The omelet was heavy. Not sure I would return to this location.

On the Weekends- even if you have to wait to be seated... it's Worth it and the Service is Outstanding! Aside from Paellas- Shrimp and Grits is one of my Absolute Favorite "Comfort Food" So if it is on the Menu- that's what i will have. The Flying Biscuit's version of this dish is to Die For!!! I believe they are prepared with milk and white cheddar- but whatever is in it- it's GOOD A side of their famous biscuits with that house fruit jam takes any meal over the Top. My second Runner Up- and just as Good as any of their other offerings is their Southern Scramble- it has Collard Greens mixed into it Y'all!!!

You can’t visit Atlanta without having breakfast at least one time at the Flying Biscuit! We have made this a “must do” every year when we stay in Atlanta for the holidays. The Flying Biscuit Buckhead- Terminus Building is conveniently located by several area hotels. We walked right across a side street directly to this location. Everything at the Flying Biscuit has always been perfect! From the hostess greeting to the outstanding melt in mouth biscuits! Our server Austin was extremely upbeat, friendly and made sure our entire experience was top notch. Right off the bat we ordered a dozen biscuits with Cranberry Apple Butter. DELISH! Our meals included some menu favorites such as “The High Flyer “ (2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancake), “Hollywood Omelette” (3 egg whites, spinach, mushrooms and white cheddar cheese, topped with tomato coulis), “Shrimp and Grits”(white cheddar grits, HUGE blackened shrimp, roasted red pepper tomato sauce), and the “Chicken Chorizo Hash” (chicken chorizo, moon dusted potatoes, red and green peppers, onions and cheddar cheese topped with two over medium eggs, tomatillo salsa and cilantro). Every dish was outstanding and the portions were huge! Austin gave us plenty of “to-go” containers for our left overs along with drink refills in to-go cups as well. We definitely are looking forward to our visit again next year!!!

We came for breakfast. Waiter was wonder and the food amazing. Make sure to try the grits, best ever. Biscuitscare great too.

Had a wonderful meal at the Flying Biscuit. There was about 40 minute wait but it as worth it for our part of five. Our food selections ranged from shrimp and grits to burgers and omelets. Everyone was happy with their selection. The best part was our server Alvin. He was great, took excellent care of us and always kept our drinks.

We were told not to miss this spot if we could possibly get there. Outside the side door of the hotel, and we were there. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. We three all had something different, and all entrees were delicious. This is a Do-not-miss.

This was close to my hotel so being lazy I strolled over. Looking at the menu I knew this must be a hippie owned type restaurant with moon dusted potatoes? The type where they hug & pet the chickens just before they kill'em and eat them. Turkey hash? I love hash, but turkey hash? So being an adventurous chubby dude eater I said "go for it", and throw in a couple eggs too. Ok here is the surprise part, it was absolutely delicious! I was stunned. If you were blindfolded you think you were eating a grandma's super tender pot-roast. The turkey soaked up all the spices and flavor, so much in fact my mouth is watering writing this. The staff was funny and attentive and in good spirits. Will definitely return and it will be to eat that turkey hash with its moon dusted potatoes.

Menu said 'Fresh OJ' so both me and my partner ordered a glass. It was decidedly NOT fresh squeezed. The menu should say either 'Fresh Squeezed OJ' or just 'Orange Juice'. Other than the misleading label on the menu - everything was great.

This restaurant was VERY busy on a Sunday morning, suggesting good food, which is what I found in the Eggstravaganza breakfast. I do think that the biscuit and grits don't live up to the hype... they are good, but not "best ever".

I had the tofu scramble and it was very delicious! The biscuit was obviously delicious as well! Steps away from the Grand Hyatt Buckhead, it was a very convenient.

The biscuits are too heavy to fly out the door, I’ll share my Aunts truly light, tasty & fluffy biscuits recipe. The menu remind me of a struggling college student who experiment on a tight budget, mish mosh b’cosh. Sweet tea is Southern & hits the spot. The host, server & manager are very professional & friendly. Prices are fair & affordable. Ladies bathroom need cleaning & renovating with more CLEAN stalls. Cute tourist trap.

If you are hear on the weekend be prepared to wait, but they move fast and the food is worth the wait!

Great breakfast as usual. We always eat at this Flying Biscuit when we're in Atlanta. Great food and wonderful grits. You HAVE to get the grits. Staff is friendly and there is plenty of parking especially on the weekends.

We had a group of 7 for lunch. We didn't have to wait long. Service was good. I had the Turkey Hash. It was AMAZING and filling. The portion was more than enough. No one in our group had any complaints about the food. If you're in the area, you should stop by and try it out. Check the hours first, they were closing at 4p when we went

My friend and I chose this restaurant due to proximity to Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead (1 block). We highly recommend it for a great breakfast, service and southern ambience. Lots to choose from on menu. Biscuits are "true country" (my father from Appalachia used to make). We agreed it's best breakfast we've ever had friends' multiple road trips. We definitely will return when in Buckhead.

My guest ordered grits and eggs, bacon and a biscuit. We also tried the sausage, bacon and cheese omelette. Delicious! I had the oven baked chicken (flat, breaded chicken breast), mac & cheese, and spicy collar greens. Food was very good. I would definitely visit the spot again when I’m in the area.

I'm a big fan of breakfast and for a chain restaurant, this place does breakfast right! You cannot pass on the delicious, creamy grits, they are heaven sent!I went with the High Flyer Breakfast which is a generous amount of food. The biscuits were on point- fluffy and light. Oatmeal pancakes- healthy and delicious with a to die for peach compote on top. A premium cup of joe to wash it all down with. Mmm I will be back here for sure!

The perfect way to start our morning. Restaurant is bright and cheerful - as are the servers, especially Ellie. Ordered the Flying Biscuit breakfast which arrived quickly. The first bite of grits was heavenly. The biscuit with the cranberry apple butter was incredible. Sausage and eggs perfectly prepared. Had heard this place had the best breakfast in the area and I would agree. Amazing!

If you are looking for a nice clean restaurant with great details and food this is the place to be. The chicken sausage was amazing and they had some sort of honey sauce. Not sure what it really was but it was phenomenal!

So I've heard about the Flying Biscuit Cafe and heard about it and I am not sure what all the fuss is about. We went, didn't have to wait in line because we got there at like 9:30am or so. The table was sticky, ick. I had pancakes and a side of bacon- it was good. It wasn't the most amazing thing I've ever had though. Two of my friends got the half order of french toast- they didn't love it and it was not a lot of food- they both had to order something else after it came out. So, it was good. It was typical breakfast food. If this place has a wait and there is another breakfast place nearby, try the other place. Don't think you HAVE to eat here or you will miss out. It is just a typical breakfast place.

Had a great brunch here at this popular spot. So many great things on the menu it was hard to choose. The food was delicious, service was friendly, and price was reasonable. I would eat here again.

I've been there twice and got sick both times. That was enough for me. If you go I hope you have better luck.

We had to wait a bit to get in on a Sunday morning, so it's popular but we didn't find anything very special. We had to wait quite a while for our food, and it was average--and a very limited menu.

Our family of 9 this past Sat morning did NOT enjoy our breakfast. It was very busy, which is fine; but service and food quality was poor. Waited 40 minutes to receive our food; waitress spilled hot coffee on one of us & server was quite indifferent; never wiped the wet floor after being asked twice so we wouldn't slip & fall. Pancakes were almost burned on one side with only the good side on top...took forever for syrup, butter and refill for water & coffee not an option. Need to eliminate 2-3 tables to open up the aisles enough so customers & staff can accommodate guests without bumping into everyone & no room for highchair! No customer service with only 4 servers....poorly managed & understaffed to handle busy weekend mornings at 9 AM!!!

Was greeted right after I stepped into the establishment. The atmosphere and the décor of the building was great. Had their basic breakfast which was the eggs, sausage, biscuit with apple butter and they are known for their creamy grits. The meal was very good and tasty as was the service. Would most likely have breakfast here on my way out. Enjoyed it very much.

They have several locations, but the food is always great, and the service is as well. The biscuits are huge and the food is fresh. If you're in Atlanta, you HAVE to check this place out!

Went during off hours (4pm on a Sunday). Still busy! Absolutely loved the biscuits, the grits, and the omelette w/ collards. Food was prepared and seasoned very well. Fun space. Nothing fancy, but delicious.

I found this place through Travel Advisor and it is great! The wall painting are fun and the hospitality was great. Now lets get to the food. I had the Biscuit Chicken Pot Pie. It was the most delicious chick pot pie I have ever had. My husband ordered the Turkey pot roast with smashed potatoes, that were out of the world, and green beans, with a side of spicy greens. The pot roast melted in your mouth, the potatoes and the greens were so very delicious. There was a small container of apple butter on the side of his plate that was so good I ate it right off the knife. We each ate half our ordered meal then swapped meals. I can't tell you which was best, because they were both so good. We were told next time to try the smothered oven fried chicken. I hope we get to go back before we have to go home. Oh yeah! They also have breakfast all day. This place is so worth going to.

This restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. The food was awesome. And the service was great. Our group had biscuit/gravy, healthy omelettes, flat iron steak and eggs and French toast. All of which was outstanding! We would highly recommend this place for breakfast

After reading all of the reviews, was looking forward to trying this well-known spot. Handy to my hotel next-door and in a hurry on this busy Sunday morning, decided to order an item from the "Grab and Go" posted menu. Order an egg and cheese biscuit with coffee. It took 20 minutes for my order and I thought the biscuit itself was just average - should have been really hot and fresh on a busy AM. Would not rush back but if we went back, might try something else.

Went here with some friends. We loved the atmosphere! The food was really good, too. I give it 4 stars because none of us cared for the grits and the biscuits had an aftertaste in my mouth a few hours after I ate one. Great place, though, and I'd go back in a minute!

Heard about this place and could not wait to try as we do not have these in the Norht East. Went for lunch twice on 2 seperate occasions. First time sat in for lunch and had breakfast. It was good. You can't really mess up breakfast. Especially loved the biscuits and the variety of the menu. On my second visit I ordered a salad to go. It was interesting. Had homefries tosted in my salad with a biscuit on the side. Not as healthy as I was going for but good nonetheles. Will probably stick to breakfast if I'm ever in the area again.

We arrived on Friday morning for breakfast. Once we arrived with our party of 12, no one greeted or acknowledged us. for 15 minutes. Finally, someone asked to speak with the manager and was told that our group was too large to accommodate. We went elsewhere.

First off, the interior was so cool. Like how bright, colorful and warm it was on the inside. Flowers and everything on everything, I love it. I had the Southern Scramble with grits and added some moon roasted potatoes on the side and I must say, it was SOOOOOOOOOO good! I was really impressed, eggs cooked perfectly, the greens were great, I never had anything like that and I'm glad I picked it. The biscuit was delicious and that cranberry apple butter was tasty, I liked that a lot. The grits was OMG, I creamy and just right. The potatoes were also delicious and seasoned just right. I will definitely have breakfast with them again, it was worth it!

Fantastic breakfast place. In Atlanta for business. Love this place. Great atmosphere. The timing of the food and service were extremely exceptional

I ran into this restaurant to get breakfast and a juice smoothie. I saw a Sheree from the Real House wives of Atlanta having a working breakfast. She was down to earth and friendly. I asked if I could take her picture and she suggested that we take a picture together. I was shocked because I was thinking about the character and not her as individual. The food was delicious. The apple butter tasted like it was homemade. I also ad a green juice of kale and cucumber that was delicious.

My Family and I wanted to try something new for breakfast. WE decided to go to the flying biscuit to see what it was about. Whoever the chef was back in the kitchen on 19 Mar 22 at approximately 1100 KNOWS how to cook some damn good breakfast. My wife and I were a bit skeptical at first but once we tried their Pancake Tacos and Southern Scramble eggs.....That joker was on point!!!!! we didn't eat again until later on in the evening. My daughter ate all the pancakes. Our Server Aliyah (I hope I spell this correctly) was absolutely amazing and truly attentive to our table. She brought the right level of professionalism and attention to detail a lot of these establishments need. Thank you Flying Biscuit for serving some great food and having some awesome co-workers who represent the establishment well. I Highly recommend this place.

Ok let me first say I did have intentions of trying the famous flying biscuits, But I'm a lover of French toast and feel the need to continue my search for the best. With that being said, I had the French toast and it was amazing! I highly recommend it if you're a French toast snob!

The food is good, service is good, restaurant is good. Good food with a good atmosphere and that equals a great time. Good prices too!

My grandson loved this visit. The bright colors and the large pancake was a hit for him. Also, this was in a nice location. It was so nice I left my car door open an no one Disturbed a thing!! Overall nice restaurant and good price.

The same amazing menu including fluffy and tender biscuits without the Sunday long wait for a table. This Flying Biscuit location at the Terminus building area of Buckhead is a bit out of the beaten path on weekends when the nearby office buildings are not open. Thus you can avoid the usual crowd in a Sunday morning.

On Sunday morning at 9:30, there was a small line that moved fast. The menus was extensive and priced for this type of restaurant. The food was served slightly warm, not hot. The coffee cups were always full. The cheese grits were great!! I recommend this restaurant highly. It is worth the tip.

Party of three on a busy Saturday. We had a pleasant 25 minute wait. Seated and waited on immediately. The three of us all tried new things and enjoyed immensely. My favorite was the blackened shrimp salad. Everything was so fresh and delicious.

A great restaurant for families with kids. Fun, child-friendly atmosphere with food they'll love! My kids even loved visiting the bathroom because of all the fun murals painted all over the walls. I wasn't a big fan of the oatmeal pancake - it was dense. I think I'll stick with traditional buttermilk pancakes on future visits - I would prefer the light fluffy texture that I think pancakes are supposed to have. However, I loved everything else we ordered, especially the heavenly peach compote, the "creamy dreamy" grits, and the amazing "moon dust" seasoning on the oven roasted potatoes.

I was in town with family for the weekend and my son-in-law discovered this eatery one morning, so on Sunday the four of us ventured there for breakfast (served all day btw). There is a great variety on the menu, friendly service, quick service and delicious food. If you're in to oatmeal, they serve a healthy portion with fresh fruit (strawberries and fresh blueberries) for $5. All menu prices were quite reasonable and the biscuits? - well you have to have one, they are delicious. This is a great spot for a traditional breakfast (with a healthy twist too in chicken sausage and turkey bacon as well as the pork varieties) and it definitely won't break the bank. Highly recommend!!

While staying at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead we walked next door to the Flying Biscuit and glad we did. Full of color decor and very friendly service we enjoyed one of the best breakfast we've had in Atlanta. The Oatmeal Pancakes with Peach Compote were delicious also had a side of their Chicken Sausage, very tasty. If you love grits their's are creamy and delicious. Avoid the rust and arrive before 10am on the weekend.

Every time we visit Atlanta, we make sure to eat breakfast or brunch at the Flying Biscuit. Waits are long but worth it on weekends. Biscuits and grits are a must eat. Take out available also.

We had only eaten at Flying Biscuit (another location) years ago. The same aspects I found limiting then are still in place. First, let me say that I had a good breakfast here at a reasonable price with good service. However... If you are running a breakfast place in Atlanta, please...please...consider serving actual bacon! What is it with turkey bacon and chicken sausage? Really? I just cannot quite get over that, and I don't even eat sausage. I will confess to being a picky eater in my youth, but much less so today. My wife, OTOH, was never picky at any point. However, both of us struggled with the menu to find something we wanted to eat. My wife discussed what she wanted with the waitress and they (graciously) agreed to fix some eggs/biscuit/toast combo for her. I just got the Acai Super Bowl, or some such. It wasn't bad; sort of a smoothie-done-as-soup. I wouldn't fix it at home or ask other breakfast places to make it, though. I believe there is a Flying Biscuit franchise in the city I live in now, but I have no desire to check them out.

The Flying Biscuit is a popular place in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. You might have to wait awhile if you arrive at a busy time such as breakfast, but we got a table almost immediately, the waitress was very attentive, the food arrived much sooner than I had anticipated, and it was good! Definitely would go back more often, but we live 350 miles away :-(

Heard great things, however, as good as the Flying Biscuit is, it is not great. The food was prepared well, the grits with the white cheddar cheese is top shelf. Omelet was plentiful. The chicken sausage patties are very good. The service though, was fantastic. Good coffee.

Wow. What great food! The menu is so mouthwatering I had a hard time choosing my meal. I can't believe this is a chain restaurant in Georgia. The food is outstanding. I cannot wait to go back.

While visiting Atlanta for business, I wanted to try some home style Southern cooking and this place seemed to fit the bill. The decor is cute, festive and colorful with kitschy touches, but not too overboard. The real focus is on the food - lots of southern style favorites teamed with really good biscuits, house made jams and butter. Also, the aforementioned "creamy, dreamy grits." They are really good, just as advertised. I had a nice eggs scramble with greens, ham and cheese - very good. Along with great coffee. Served with biscuit and grits, this was a VERY hearty breakfast. Nice crowd with quite a few regulars and friendly wait staff. Will visit again next time I am in Atlanta

This restaurant probably works better for someone who loves grits and biscuits, the two house specialties. I ordered the eggs benedict with pimento cheese on biscuits and I did not like it at all. The cheese was way too spicy and the biscuits did not work with the dish. Everyone around me had grits in some form and the pancakes looked good. It was packed on a Saturday morning the staff was stretched a bit particularly at the counter where the woman working it also had to deal with the phone and take out customers. If you love a good Southern breakfast, this looks to be the place. If not, find somewhere else.

Scrambled eggs too moist... French toast definitely not worth getting here (ihop or Dennys are by far better with French toast!) Biscuits were good just not as warm as they should be when they come to your table. Wasn't terrible, but wasn't incredible either.

My son and I had the most amazing breakfast on Sunday. I got the Piedmont omelette with hash browns, their signature grits, and a biscuit. Everything was wonderful. The cranberry apple butter for the biscuit was so good that I bought a jar for each of us. Mackenzie was our server and she was excellent. Highly recommended!

The rather stuck up waitress took my order from memory, not writing it down. And guess what... got it wrong. Walked off before I could tell her and never once came back to the table. Potatoes and pancake were cold.

Definite surprise as o have never heard of it before. Fast and friendly. Had the Turkey Hash, side of bacon, and side of grits. The turkey was amazing, came with eggs and potatoes.

This place is known for their grits. My first visit and very impressed. Will return and hope some of the readers visit and try their menu for yourself. Was greeted with a smile and the greetings of the day. Had the basic start of the days meal; bacon, eggs, toast, tea, water and the grits. They have a full menu but I was there for their breakfast. I tell ya, you have to try it for yourself. You will enjoy.

A few steps above fast food (breakfast). A solid option for something new. Primarily healthy options (turkey bacon, chicken gravy). Personally had the Crab Cakes Benedict and it was just alright. Biscuits were really good as were the potatoes. The staff was awesome and we had a great server.

We sat at the bar and really enjoyed watching the kitchen cranking out delicious food. We also struck up more than one conversation with servers moving in and out of the bar area as they got beverages. After that we enjoyed a thoroughly delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this as a breakfast stop. The grits are killer good but so were the home fries. You win either way.

- fly in honey - French toast made with rye bread??? WTF! Yuck! - potatoes taste like rubber Huge disappointment given the rating. If you can get the basic stuff right why order the other stuff?

We arrived in Atlanta at 9:00 am on the Thursday before the Big South Volleyball tournament. It was too early to do anything...'cept have breakfast! I had my girls check their phones for the best breakfast in Atlanta. We were lead to The Flying Biscuit. There was something for everyone on the menu. The service was excellent! The food was unbelievable! My girls wanted to go back everyday. If it weren't for our crazy wave schedule we would have. We live in FL....may have to make the trek up to Gainesville to try the Flying Biscuit up there!

We ate here twice in two days. Their biscuits and grits were HEAVENLY! They were probably the best I've ever had. I also got the oatmeal pancake with peaches on it. It was very good too. The service was phenomenal the first day but a bit lackluster the second. Overall, a great restaurant. It was very busy and is a fun atmosphere.

The food was good. The service was as good as it coulbe be for how busy the restaurant was. It felt like a Waffle House. My food was honestly no better than a Waffle House...
Great southern brunch!
Biscuits are to die for, with gravy, jam or butter!! The gravy is really really good too. Coffee, eggs and service fast and friendly. Probably a little warm inside but the place was full. We'll be back as soon as we can!!
