Even without the charming patio this would be a great place. With the over the top patio and it’s clientele, it’s even better. Good variety, good food, and terrific service make this a must!

Actually ate here for breakfast several times as well as dinner. The breakfast was nice, they have a buffet and the wait staff was friendly. The dinner hostess had a bad attitude of superiority though the wait staff was friendly. Limited menu. The food is so so...you had better like kale because it is in just about everything. The kale salad was too soggy with sour dressing, and the half chicken was just a burnt chicken breast. My husband did like the ahi at least. Oh, and the table wobbled.

Don't come to this restaurant if you want to be seated at the time you made your reservation. They apparently do a terrible job of managing their tables and reservations and this has been true of almost every time I have visited this place. I need to stop coming back because it's clearly never going together improve.

Went for breakfast. Interior design is so beautiful! $19 breakfast buffet (coffee, OJ, tea included) and $15 for short rib eggs Benedict. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and service was good. They automatically charge a 12% service charge which goes to front-of-house staff.

I enjoyed my experience at the Front Yard. We had the Tandoori Chicken Sandwich and the Short Rib burger Patty Melt. They were delicious and the chicken sandwich included prosciutto bacon and smashed avocados YUM. However, THE FRIES were AMAZING and ADDICTIVE. Cassandra was a delightful server.

Last night, Sunday, my girlfriend and I went to the bar at The Front Yard Restaurant in Studio City. Adrian the bartender was nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!! He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and most important, personable. He gave us great drink ideas and he was right on. Professionals like Adrian is what will keep us coming back. Bartending, in my opinion, is a customer service job, and Adrian has it nailed. We'll be back and i encourage you to go see Adrian too.

Amazing brunch, reservations are highly recommended for brunch, but weekday breakfast was also great! Pretty great selection of local craft beers at the bar.

We were seated quickly outside as per our request. Orders were taken promptly for the drinks. Kids had pizza and I had Mary’s Half chicken it was so tasty, my husband had the burger which he really enjoyed. I tried the strawberry field cocktail and could have had 10 more it was so tasty. All in all with drinks it came to just over $100. Be careful they add a 12% service charge. They did however let us know but this is a pet hate of mine. Would we go again? Yes

We ate here two nights while staying at the Garland. The food was excellent both times and wonderful service. I would definitely eat here again if in the area.

I really enjoyed breakfasts here on two occasions and while a guest at The Garland. Delicious foods and good vibes!

There is Napoli, Roma, Firenze, Milano, Sicilian. If the boot of Italy got up and danced, it would be The Branzino.

Dinner far exceeded my expectations. I came here with family members from Chicago who are big foodies, and I suggested the Front Yard because they were staying at the Garland Hotel (this is a hotel restaurant). Our server was warm, welcoming, efficient and never obtrusive. We sampled a variety of of items, including the grilled shrimp with jalapeno grits; grilled octopus with green mussels, cherry tomatoes and feta (believe it or not, the combination worked very well), divers scallops, baby beets salad; figs and prosciutto flatbread, tuna tartare, pork chops, and other dishes. Not one was a miss. The food here is creative and sophisticated, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. I live in the neighborhood and am thrilled this restaurant opened. I will certainly be back with other family members and friends.

Recommended through one of the holiday discussion sites we decided to try this restaurant. Ordering a drink at the bar took a while as all the seats around it were occupied. There's a good selection of drinks and I chose one of the beers and my girlfriend picked the Riesling, both were very good. We were seated fairly soon after and the server was super friendly and helpful. We had the hummus appetizer which was delicious, my girlfriend had the TFY burger which was delicious and I went for the flat iron steak medium rare which came more rare than expected but the server dealt with that quickly and efficiently., both meals came with fries which were also delicious. Clare had a second riesling while I tried the Maple in the Rye cocktail which was super good. Great place and a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

This is one of the best restaurants we have visited in the North Hollywood area. It has a wonderful outdoor patio, bar area and casual dining. The menu is varied and includes a lot of fantastic, creative chef choices. We visited for breakfast, lunch and dinner while visiting the hotel next door and loved every meal. Service was perfect.

Really fun restaurant with a great vibe. We had the breakfast buffet. Service was excellent. Locals and guests alike here.

We were disappointed with this restaurant, the staff were miserable, the starter charcuterie board had honey which leaked on the table which wasn’t cleaned before the main course was plonked on top of it. I had chicken with tinned tomatoes poured over it and I know what tinned tomatoes taste like. Replacement beers took 15 minutes to arrive. We spoke to a couple in the bar down the road afterwards who sat near us and they thought the whole experience was poor too.

GREAT spot to dine while staying at the hotel. Food was amazing and the cocktails rocked. Really great vibe all the way around.

I am a bit of a 'foodie' and I enjoy restaurants that serve food out of the ordinary. The Front Yard does not disappoint. The chef offers his own twist on most items on the menu and they are unique and flavorful. I recommend the Front Yard to anyone who enjoys good food in a great atmosphere coupled with excellent service. You won't be disappointed!

Loved our breakfasts at the The Front Yard. We were guests of the hotel. Nice choice of either the buffet or a la carte. We loved the a la carte entrees. The short rib Eggs Benedict was awesome! Also great kids choices and a nice buffet.

I will definitely be going back to this restaurant. The food was delicious and we had the best table on the patio, right near the fireplace. The service was good too.

Por mucho the best place to have a beautiful and perfect breakfast/brunch, the music and the menu was the perfect combination, inside or outside the location has a lot to make your entire meal a comfortable and lovely experience, but I like more the open spaces so, I recommend you the terrace, closer to the fireplace 😍

The food is fantastic and the outdoor seating around a fireplace was very nice. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day as well.

Firstly I must say that the waiter Travis is the best around, attentive and goes above and beyond to make your meal the best. From the caramelised sprouts to the 28oz rib eye to the beers outlet experience was out of this world. Very clean, the right delay between meals and at a great price!! Lovely dining experience 5stars James

A colorful and comfortable venue. The menu is diverse and the food selections are creative and tasty. I thought that the service was especially good and the wait staff was caring and friendly.

I'm just beginning to dine out again - with a great deal of caution - since restaurants have been permitted to allow dining in. And I have to say The Front Yard takes extraordinary precautions for your safety. The owner met us in the parking lot and explained the terms: wearing a mask, getting your temperature taken, no cash, etc. And the tables on the patio are distanced from each other. I was there for a mid-week lunch with a friend, so the restaurant was not particularly busy. I started with a craft cocktail called "Cucumber Press": gin, lime juice, cilantro, aloe simple syrup, citrus, and prickly pear. Very refreshing. For my entree, I opted for the Blackened Shrimp Tacos and my friend ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. We both enjoyed our meal - and we were both glad we followed the waiter's recommendation to have the adobo fries as our side. We devoured them! I understand the restaurant has a terrific weekend brunch. I look forward to trying it!

Although attached to The Garland, he Front Yard stands on its own with what appeared to be a very large nightly clientele of non-hotel guests. It has a very fun, energetic buzz to it. The food was fantastic and the kitchen was happy to accommodate food allergies. I would highly recommend this restaurant and don't let the fact that it's attached to a hotel dissuade you.

After business meeting, a group of us headed to the Front Yard and had an amazing time. Loved the atmosphere and the appetizers were delicious.

Food was well-prepared. Patio in evening was biggest draw, very nice. Service was acceptable. I'd eat here again for the ambiance.

Breakfast buffet was simple but enough selection. A la carte was delicious. Lunch was very good value with large serves. Rose served all day USD $20 - great value!

We ate at the Front Yard for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our two-day stay in Hollywood. The food was great and the Banana Bread French Toast is to die for. The service was extremely attentive and joyful. Cassy, Taylor, and Chelsea really made us feel at home and were superb at customer service.

The Front Yard is the restaurant associated with The Garland Hotel in Toluca Lake. There is both indoor and patio seating, which is pleasant. We were there for breakfast. The portions are large. I had an omelette, which was a bit on the dry side. The two of us shared a fruit plate, which was ordinary. There is an optional buffet priced at $19. The bill came to $55 for two, which I feel is excessive for breakfast. And yes, they add a 12% service charge (without telling you beforehand). I don't mind the add on for a tip, but they should advise you so you don't double tip. We had to flag down another waitress to find our own to get our check, after waiting a respectful length of time. The menu is inventive, but a bit limited.

Most restaurants that are attached to a hotel are kinda blah . The Front Yard was a pleasant surprise. I think it was mostly locals in this busy restaurant...which says a lot to me . The service was friendly and attentive. My picky teen loved her flatbread and ate a kale salad and actually liked it . I would recommend reservations especially for brunch and dinner .

I've dined here twice for dinner and The Front Yard hit the spot every. Single. Time! The ambience is quite nice and you have a choice for indoor/outdoor seating! The Menu is elaborate with many choices to please everyone ( I think) The service is great as well. The waiters are nice and very accommodating. I always appreciate it when waiters actually KNOW the menu and can recommend dishes based off your food preference. If you want to dine at a nice scenic restaurant with good vibes! Front Yard is the place! Apologies for the pic captions I forgot the name of the drink and main dish!

I made reservations on open table for brunch for my wife and I and couldn’t have planned a better meal! The food and surroundings were awesome. Highly recommended.

I loved nearly every dish I had here - the food is pricey, because it is a hotel restaurant, but I think it was worth it. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly. I ate both at the bar and at tables, and had a great experience every time.

This restaurant serves a wonderful variety of dishes. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is in a nice location. It has a breakfast buffet which has a large selection of things to eat, and a good menu which has a reasonable amount on it. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and bar which serves lots of alcoholic as well as a couple of soft drinks. It serves salads, burgers, flatbreads and more. It serves vegetarian and gluten-free meals too making it available to all the public. I highly recommend the burgers and flatbreads which we amazing!

I came to this restaurant with my colleagues and we were absolutely amazed at how delicious the food is. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth every penny. I’ll be sure to visit again!

First timers, we had a great time and enjoyed the buffet for Easter brunch. Servers were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back for lunch, dinner or maybe just drinks. Comfortable lounge area and nice outdoor patio.

We stayed at the Garland for a business trip and ended up having our meals at the Front Yard. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We ate dinner the first night and liked it so much we had two more dinners. The starters are great. The oven roasted olives, the shrimp and grits, the spaghetti squash, the Peruvian scallops...all delicious. The fig and prosciutto flatbread incredible. The wines were great as was the waitstaff. You will be glad you chose to dine here!

The service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the volume didn't understand the waiters well. The food was good but not exceptional. Price performance did not quite fit here.

Very pleasant setting; unusual menu offerings. Service was good. the cost was reasonable. The food itself? I liked my mushroom flatbread but my wife was not crazy about hers. The other couple seemed satisfied.

Good eats with a "mod" vibe. Tasty and well presented the food makes the pallet happy! The decor has a 50/70 vibe that conjures innocent and pleasant days gone by feel. Recommend for anytime with friends and family!

Pleasantly surprised how good this hotel bar and restaurant was. The surroundings were great and full of character and the service was excellent. The food portions were very generous- my partner and I shared the crumbed chicken (sharing plate) and we couldnt eat it all. The meal was tasty, but a little dry. It definitely needed the sauce and we had to ask for more. Would recommend.

I want to take a moment to express our gratitude to the staff at The Front Yard, beginning with Victoria, who made the initial arrangements for our large family gathering in its Tangerine Room. During the lunch, the servers, Sonia and LaToya, and the bartender, Adam, were extraordinarily attentive and kind. The food was delicious and the setting beautiful. So many guests commented on what a warm and unique family event it was, due to this stellar combination of excellence. So appreciated!

Spent a week in Los Angeles with my wife and son doing the tourist thing and happened across the Front Yard one night as a dinner option. Very pleasantly surprised by the all aspects of the experience. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere has a great eclectic retro vibe to it and the food was fantastic. Much of their outdoor seating is very casual. Our “table” was two outdoor couches with a coffee table in the center. Loved the vibe. The menu selection was great and what I would consider reasonable for the quality and ambiance. If you are in the area, definitely grab a reservation and check this place out. You will not be disappointed. I don’t give 5 stars out because that to me indicates perfection but this place was pretty great.

Quick, friendly service!! Our party of 4 ordered off of the menu. Each dish was beautifully presented and everyone was pleased with their breakfast. The buffet with all of its options was a temptation. We were glad we had a reservation.

This little restaurant on the grounds of The Garland hotel is just what you never knew you wanted or needed. Even if you aren't staying at the hotel, you should check this out for great drinks, friendly atmosphere, meeting up with friends or making new ones, and the occasional celeb sighting. (The Brady Bunch house is a few blocks away if you're into that!)

Seems like a lot of times the restaurants that are in or next to a hotel are disappointing but not The Front Yard. Good wine and craft beer selection. Fun appetizers and a killer burger. Some fun desserts too--try the cookie ice cream sandwich!

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. We ate here as a family of 4 & it was wonderful. The waiter was lovely & couldn't do enough for us & the food was spot on! Highly recommend eating here.

While not the cheapest dining option, we all had utterly delicious and awesome food! The peach prosciutto flatbread was to die for! Don't turn down the grit cakes.

Top class service, the burger is to die for as is the steak and eggs which the wife had. The restaurant was really busy so it worth booking. So impressed we have booked in for tomorrow.

We went for the Christmas buffet. Although we arrived a little early, we still had to wait quite a bit past our reservation time, but we did not complain as everyone was very friendly (and it was a holiday and busy). All of the food was cold - the mashed potatoes were cold and completely flavorless (tasted like instant) and the “brioche stuffing” was the worst stuffing I’ve ever had in my life. Numerous people commented on it actually. The deserts were awful too - they were very clearly store-brought, pre-made/frozen deserts that they had simply thawed. Worst of all, this restaurant unlawfully charged far more on my card than it should have. Upon receiving our check, there was already an 18% service charge added. I asked our waitress if this was her tip. She said yes. Meanwhile, the restaurant went ahead and charged an additional 18% - completely without my consent or signature. So, we ended up paying a nearly 40% tip on a meal that was a buffet. All the waitress did was bring drinks once. I always tip well, but charging us 40% for a tip without authorization at a buffet is completely unacceptable and unethical. I used an Amex gift card for the meal and no longer have the receipt, otherwise I would fight the charge. Avoid this place at all costs.

This place is so wonderful we ate almost every meal here while staying at nearby hotel. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. the food and staff are simply amazing. the wine list is fabulous. It is very laid back. Definitely try Sunday brunch.

The Front Yard provided us quick service with delicious food. We loved their take on Californian food. The wait staff was very quick and kind.

We only had breakfast here as we were staying at the hotel. There was a niuce selection and we liked the setting. The cool vibe music made us feel like we were in old time California about to hit the hippy trail which we loved. The food was delicious but at nearly $100 for the 4 of us we couldn't justify this sort of money for breakfast.

Front Yard is a great place for laid back outdoor dining. Had brunch there and enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. None of the dishes blew me away, but they were good and I love that they take reservations on Open Table.

Great food, service and cocktails. We dined here twice and got the fried chicken twice as it was so good. We also had breakfast here. Highly recommend. Nice retro setting and nice staff. Make a reservation for dinner as it gets busy.

good food, fair prices, good happy hour. 10pm to close appy hour as well. breakfast buffet was good.

Although limited in choices, the breakfast brunch was very good as well as the service. Loved the Lox and bagels.

Great Flat Iron Steaks and very well looked after - including us looking for some decent vegetables off menu and having a nut allergy (which the US is worse at dealing with than the UK we found) to contend with. Lovely vibe too!

Came here for brunch and the food was great and the place has a cool eclectic vibe. The breakfast cocktails are almost comically small and weak, but still delicious. Probably would be better off with the bottomless mimosas, but we were wary of mimosas with brandy and bitters. Parking situation is great, free for 3 hours in the hotel parking lot with validation from the restaurant.

NOT a good place to go if you have dietary restrictions. I went for brunch with some friends and the restaurant is lovely, but their menu is very limited for someone like me who cannot eat peppers or anything spicy (because of a medical condition). I asked our server if they had regular hollandaise instead of jalapeno hollandaise for their Carnitas Benny and the answer was no, so I asked if they can make the Short Rib Hash without the fresnos and bell peppers, to which the answer was also no. I ended up ordering the Shrimp N Grits without the fresnos, but when it was brought out, there were obviously peppers on the dish (which I now think was from the piperade, a word I had never heard before that I honestly think I should have been warned about by the server after trying to order 2 other dishes without peppers). When I pointed this out to the runner, they tried to tell me there were no peppers on it, and I immediately pointed to a chunk of pepper on top. Our server noticed and came to grab it immediately, saying "no it shouldn't have peppers" and taking it back to the kitchen. The server returned and said that the chef wasn't willing to make the dish without any peppers so I would have to order something different yet again. I understand that it changes the flavor of the dish and the chef doesn't want to get a bad review from someone saying the food wasn't good when it wasn't prepared the way the chef intended, but I've worked with chefs who refuse to modify dishes - even for dietary restrictions - and that is an EGO problem. Frustrated (and without a menu), I ordered the Nutella Stuffed French Toast, which the person next to me was eating. I had been looking forward to ordering one of their pop tarts after a savory meal, but that went out the window. The French Toast was fine, but not worth returning for. One of my friends in the group is vegan and also struggled to find options she wanted. The pitcher brunch drinks were great and 2 small-ish watcher jugs were left on our table for us to refill our glasses from, but we ran out and our server didn't bring more. The server seemed pretty over us and wasn't very friendly from the beginning. Again, the atmosphere is lovely, and I'm sure the food is great for people who can eat all of it, but I won't be returning. Our server also told us that they couldn't do separate checks, which is just lazy IMO, as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years. I was able to do the math for our group and give the specific amounts to charge each card, but the guests shouldn't have to do that when I know from experience how easy it is to do separate checks.

The Front Yard was such a convenient restaurant to eat breakfast before a full day at Universal Studios. While they do offer a fantastic brunch for a very reasonable price, we opted to get some coffee and bagels to-go in order to get to Universal Studios when they opened. The restaurant staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and helped us to get in and out quickly. We did return for dinner the next night and were very happy with our cocktails and appetizers. The kids meal was ok, but not very big so my kids were still hungry. The decor is very warm and friendly and The Front Yard was the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

The setting is nice, the staff also .. but the Caesar salad had only the name....too much salad and not the other essential ingredients in this recipe..... fortunately my husband had a burger I could eat half of it ...

This restaurant is located on the Garland Hotel grounds. This entire establishment has got it going on with customer service. The food was great and they’ve taken great measures to make their customers as comfortable as possible w/the virus. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is quality; used by guests of the adjoining hotel and locals alike. Very busy most days. Food quality was very good.

We eat here a lot. Last time we did the breakfast buffet instead of ordering and loved it. Last meal here I had the short ribs... so yummy.

Small but excellent menu of tasty dishes. Thrilled they were able to accommodate my needs as a celiac. The service was very friendly and helpful, they helped move our table when we found the AC to be too cold. Great seating both inside, outside and at the bar. Frequented the Front Yard multiple times during our stay at the Garland.

Sometimes I just want a relaxing environment at dinner and this place had it in spades! There were plenty of people. The place is spacious and well designed. The host was friendly and professional and we were seated outside as requested. It was a warm night (which I don’t get many of in SF) and the atmosphere was festive with lots of string lights. Our server was excellent and he quickly got us drinks and water. We started with the chorizo deviled eggs and oven roasted olives. Then we both got the Flatiron steak and the baby greens salad. The steak was perfectly cooked to our exact specifications. We enjoyed the steak so much it was silent for several minutes. To top it off we shared the Butterscotch pudding and chocolate cake. Life is meant to be enjoyed- especially on vacation. I could not have been happier- my cousin was thrilled as well. Can’t wait to go back!

Went back to this restaurant daily staying at The Garland! Highly recommend all their cocktails, but ask for a spicy margarita and it’s amazing (not on the menu)! Loved all our food here. Not the quickest or most attentive service, but that seemed to be a common theme in LA. Beautifully decorated!

Took my daughter for dinner for her birthday. The atmosphere and outdoor patio are very nice. The menu is very limited, we had a difficult time trying to select an entrée. They are also overpriced and at the end of the meal, they present you will the bill that includes a 12% fee which they don't tell you ahead of time. The waiter also encouraged us to leave more. It ended up being $90 for the two of us which I think is a lot. My daughter had one glass of wine, I had water. And her meal was the lemon risotto. Really? No meat or protein came with it except a fried egg. They are going to have to step it up a notch to charge those prices. I guess it's just another yuppy restaurant. I don't think I'll be going back.

It was my husbands birthday and I wanted a nice restaurant to have a surprise dinner for him with our friends. The Front Yard had good reviews online for both their food and ambiance, so I booked it and spoke to a staff member 5 days ahead of time to discuss a little birthday cake/candle experience. They said absolutely no problem. We arrived and I will agree that their food was very tasty and the outdoor patio was tranquil and enjoyable. Their service, however, was not good. Before we ate dinner I confirmed with the manager that the birthday dessert and candles were all set. Unfortunately our waiter, Carlos, was inattentive, and the food took a really long time to get served. He totally dropped the ball and they did absolutely nothing for my husbands birthday! SO DISAPPOINTING!! My husbands birthday experience was a let down! When I told the manager he said sorry, but that was it. And Carlos had the nerve to tell us that 18% tip was added to our bill ( we had 6 people) but anything more would be appreciated. Are you kidding me?! If The Front Yard improved customer service, they would get 4 stars. But as it stands, 3 is generous.

The Front Yard is associated with the Garland Hotel. I live locally and really enjoy this spot. I've been several times for drinks and dinner. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is great. A bit on the pricey side since it's part of the hotel. My recent visit was on a busy Saturday night with two friends. We did not have reservations and decided to wait anyway. We were told it would be 45 minutes but in fact were seated within 10 minutes. We started with appetizers - grilled octopus - which my friends raved about, and a selection of oven roasted Italian olives that we all raved about. Then we went the Wedge Salad which they cut in 3 pieces for us. Devine. Next, a wild mushroom flatbread, also delicious. Thin crust, amazing cheese and flavorful mushrooms. More than enough for 3 to share. Finally, the brussel sprouts mac and cheese was recommended and we went for it. No pasta. Just roasted brussel sprouts, bacon and a light cheese sauce. It was light and flavorful. A must try. The bar serves up lots of trendy concoctions. I stick with champagne and my pals loved their Blackberry Sage Shrub cocktails. The Front Yard is conveniently located about 5 minutes from Universal City and Burbank so there's a lot of local entertainment types who frequent the place.

Went for last night meal as we were hotel guests. Specifically had to ask for wild mushroom flatbread to be reheated as was luke warm at best. Allegedly reheated the flatbread but it came back out as cold as it went in. Asked for reheating a second time and still not hot - do Americans eat cold flatbreads? All in all poor vegetarian choices and not worth the money. Husband’s food and starters were okay.

Sunday morning at 9:00 quiet and not crowded, the service was slow beyond reason and wrong in terms of getting the order correct. Our server pleasant enough took so long to bring our drink order one of the guests thought that we had ordered and were waiting for food. Once food was ordered the wait was longer. I'll restate not crowded at all. One of orders was incorrect, the waitress admitted it was on her, but didn't make us feel any better about the error. I don't think I heard an "I'm sorry" just an explanation. We were seated immediately and the valet service was prompt. The location is great and the ambiance lovely. Plan to spend time there.

Went here last night for a drink with a colleague. We each got a cocktail and two appetizers to share. There were plenty of open tables so we didn't feel bad that we stayed and chatted about an hour. The cheddar biscuits and deviled eggs were delicious but when the server gave us the bill he let us know that there is an 12% service charge to eat there. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. WILL NEVER RETURN. How unprofessional. We walked out of there extremely annoyed

We ate here for dinner one evening while staying at the Garland and also several morning for quick to-go breakfast options. The food is excellent and the customer service was great! Our waitress, also originally from TX, was fantastic. The ambience is great whether sitting inside or outside. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are staying at the hotel or just looking for a great restaurant near Burbank.

This was my first time to the front yard & it definitely won’t be my last! We ate from their New Years menu, a prime rib eye & Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. Beyond the food the staff was phenomenal! Jaime at the bar, Taylor our server, & Joseph the manager were all amazing. You can tell everything trickles down the chain. Nothing is lacking. Do yourself a favor & come have a meal here!

Ate on 3 of our 5 night stay as not many other restaurants nearby. The food is excellent. I had the burger twice as it was so good. Ask how you would like it cooked I said pink and sure enough it was. My wife had it medium and it was. It came with a large portion of chips( fries) which were really good. It is in a lovely setting and really well appointed. Staff attentive. All in all I would so recommend this. Also had the flatbed starter $4 which was also good.

The restaurant is lovely but our experience was totally spoiled by the extortionate bar prices we were charged 9 dollars plus tax plus service charge for the tiniest beer I’ve ever seen not even a half pint I’m sure 25 dollars for a wine and again tiny beer the food was good and service appeared good but the young man after we got the bill for one hundred and 13 dollars with tax and service charge already added proceeded to tell us the service charge was shared between all staff so he would appreciate an additional tip for his self . The price wouldn’t have appeared so bad if the portion size had been reasonable .i would only go to this restaurant if you are prepared to drink with chapped lips .we only had two drinks and sharing meal .the water was free .i must say though the place is beautiful with warm and friendly atmosphere I hope the place takes notice because it’s a shame that the price spoiled our time here .

Breaky Review Me and my husband were staying at The Garland which is the accompanying hotel. We had the buffet breaky many times while we stayed here because it was the cheapest option. I would say although it says buffet option on the breakfast menu, the buffet it self is very hidden away unless you ask "where is the buffet" as it's not in plain sight. I'm British and a chef so might be a little picky, I only had the bacon and French toast and syrup which was to die for and proper American start to my day 😍 also I had continental items. Husband tried most other things chicken sausage which he didn't like and scrambled egg which was a little bland. other than that every thing was great. buffet was only $19 and coffee and juice included. Dinner Review We had dinner a few times and was nice, I'm pregnant at the moment so had to be super careful what I ate. One night I had steak and chips which was nice and done exactly how I wanted it because I couldn't have it pink at all. Husband had the pasta Bolognese he said it was nice but he was a bit jet lagged to enjoy it. One other night we came on a Thursday it was incredibly busy possibly due to functions not sure. We were sat with in 10 to 15 mins and then got our food with I'm 10 to 15 mins also. I had steak again but a different steak was a fillet with quails egg and tender stem broccoli. Steak was amazing well done but amazingly tender. I must say I didn't really understand much on the menu. I think they should have in plain English what it is underneath, I know they just trying to sound fancy but also it's embarrassing for us non natives to ask 😂🤣😅 still 5 stars beautiful decor and friendly kind staff always willing to help

Really enjoy this place. It's close enough I can walk to it. Yes, the patio seating is nice. It's a bit upscale so some people might feel under dressed in track suits. Make a reservation. The portions are not huge. You want a cafe, might go down the street to Vivian's for breakfast.

Food was average but was not average prices. Ate here first night and for 2 persons was over $100 for just a main course that as said was average.

The food was phenomenal. The waiter Frankie was beyond phenomenal! The restaurant was beautiful! The PROBLEM is the restaurant stated they are very dog friendly!! NOT! We ordered our 4 legged family member aka very well behaved chocolate lab a hamburger. The manager Steven aka JERK!! And said beyond rudely if you give one bite more I will kick you out!! He didn’t say could you not feed het, which we didn’t know!!! If you love you 4 legged family Don’t come here!!!! Bb

I loved my unique green humus just wish they would’ve given me more things to dip in it for the price it really didn’t come with many veggies or Pita bites for dipping. My husband said the flat bread was ok kind of small for the price. The atmosphere is very fun & relaxing. We were visiting from out of town & met up with friends who live in our same town & happened to travel here on the same dates so that was interesting timing & very fun. Delicious strawberry shortcake!!!

The food is fantastic but for some reason when it's cold and raining they open every window possible so your food gets ice cold really fast. By the time the coffee goes in your ice cold cup it's more like iced coffee. If you go for the food get them to warm up your cup first and ask for a table as far from the windows as you can. I think the manager doesn't understand the concept of warm food or that customers don't like eating with their coats and scarves and gloves on. Turn up the heat and shut the windows when it's cold out.

We were staying next door at The Garland hotel with the family for a week whilst visiting LA and came here on & off each day, covering Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. All of them were really great, nice food and fabulous service.

Went here as we were staying at The Garland. I actually personally preferred their breakfast to their dinner offering! The breakfast is a wide selection buffet (if you choose to do this - there is a more 'selective menu' too) and I thought it was brilliant. Dinner was nice but a little disappointing. My scallops were cold, my short rib beef was HUGE with almost too much beef and the butterscotch dessert was really sickly. However, my wife really enjoyed hers, the service was absolutely brilliant and we would definitely return. If you get the chance to stay at the hotel, DO IT. It is utterly brilliant.

My first visit to The Front Yard was a pleasant surprise. Outdoor seating areas are inviting, including a fireplace for evenings, and a few large screen TVs for sports fans. Varied seating can accommodate small groups or couples who want a little privacy. I couldn't pinpoint the decor, but it has some mid-century modern elements. The design and lighting are overall very appealing. I started with a refreshing mocktail and deviled eggs. Both were very good. Loved my Southern fried chicken sandwich, though my daughter-in-law found her burger a bit too salty. After lunch we walked around a bit and saw an inviting outdoor courtyard and a nicely appointed meeting room. Both would be lovely for a reception or other gathering. I am looking forward to returning for cocktails and dinner.

I've been here for breakfast, happy hour, and dinner all on separate occasions, and while the food is exquisite, it was the staff that brought me back for more. The food is mouth watering, even if you have issues with gluten. The layout, aesthetic, and overall dining experience is comfortable, elegant, and relaxed. But above all, the staff is remarkable. Brigitte, Sonia, and Britni were lovely, providing amazing insights to any questions I could conjure. These wonderful three displayed a refreshingly enthusiastic excitement. When I eventually requested to speak with the manager to inform them of his superb staff, I was pleasantly surprised to see the gentleman who eagerly brought drinks and asked how my dining experience was for all of my meals. Kenneth is an incredible manager, and I'm quite grateful he knows how wonderful his employees are.

As a Californian, the term “California Cuisine” generally generates an eye roll, but the restaurant expertly personified all that is good about eating in California: fresh, clean flavor profiles, fresh, locally sourced ingredients, interesting dishes. Get an outside table if you can.

Had breakfast buffet 3 mornings and dinner 1 night during our stay. Food was fresh, buffet attended to, and offered many options. Dinner was delicious, presented beautifully and had unique options. Picky teenager had Mary's Chicken, I had Carrot Risotto. We both cleaned our plate. Waiter offered suggestions, answered question, and made sure my wine choice was in stock before placing the order. Great service all around.

My husband and I were staying at the Garland and visited the Front Yard for the breakfast buffet. Great value and selection, with very friendly and helpful waiting staff.

Not our first time... but it will be our last. Our Group left with a Very Sour Taste... The lack of Business Etiquette from Stephen Brown Senior Food & Beverage Manager was awful...he could not handle a minor issue..his response, attitude and demeanor was "less than professional". Extremely Disappointed !!!! We will take our business elsewhere.

Very good breakfast buffet with a great selection of hot and cold foods. The service wasn't too good though, seemed like none of the servers wanted to check and see if we wanted drinks....which we did! For the cost of the buffet I expected better than that.

Great oasis ! Visited after a tiring walk and found it a very relaxing happy hour spot. Great food with something for everyone on the food menu and friendly relaxed service!

Well, I've written about this great place after going there for breakfast a couple of times, and once after going there for lunch, now I finally got around to going there for dinner. Not to be missed. The "Front Yard" is a wonderful place and I recommend it to everyone I know. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great experience at The Front Yard. We didn’t have reservations and only waited about 20 minutes for a table at the bar. The three of us shared the beet salad and deviled eggs - a perfect appetizer proportion. For dinner, we shared a flat bread pizza, chicken w corn pudding and tagliatelle bolognese and all were very well prepared.

Enjoyed the breakfast all 3 mornings while staying at the hotel and the Thanksgiving buffet one night. Great food selection, high quality, nice wine and cocktail selection

We stayed at the Garland Hotel. We ate at the restaurant for four meals. Lunch was great I had one of the flat bread fig and Prosciutto and it was delish. My husband tried the Royal with Cheese. He was not dissapointed. Great selection of cocktails, wine and craft beer. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful as well. Service was perfect too. I would define back!!

This place is a must see and eat place. The food is amazing and the service is good too. The atmosphere is what seals the deal it is so perfect and relaxing. Just a very nice place to spend a evening taking it all in!

We stayed at the Garland Hotel and after a day at universal studios we didn’t want to move far, this restaurant is on the property but doesn’t feel like a hotel restaurant. Excellent service and good food - tagliatelle bolognese to be recommended. Nice twinkly atmosphere with the tree lights and open fires. when we arrived people were being turned away or an hour wait for a table so best to book

Beautiful setting. Attentive service. Delicious food. Reasonable for the quality of ingredients & the diversity of the menu. Wish we had more time here.

I came across a reference to this restaurant in the LA Weekly and it sounded great. My partner and went there for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed. The atmosphere, the staff, the food and the cost were all terrific. The brunch items each have their own little flair to make them anything but standard. Those bottomless mimosas certainly were wonderful! This is going to be a regular place to go on our favorites list from now on.

Called in for breakfast, and what a delight. Went for the $19 buffet, and what value for money. Loads to choose from, something for everyone. Ambience out of this world, and the place is immaculate. Daughter had pancakes, and what a pile she got, kept her quiet for a while. Overall fantastic value for monety, in great surroundings, the breakfast will set you up for the day.Staff super friendly, served by Alicia who is a credit to the place. At night the place is lit up like a Christmas tree....

Message to the manager Thomas: Carlos F was a great server and went to trouble to ensure our meal and drinks were super. The drinks were not chilled but he found an answer! Credit to you.

I originally wanted to try one of the restaurants I'd researched before our trip but my kids were complaining of being hungry so I caved and went to the hotel restaurant The Front Yard as the quickest option prior to a day at Universal Studios. What a great breakfast and such a surprise! The french toast, American, and buffet were all great and I didn't really break the bank by eating at the hotel. Thank you!

lovely place, warm atmosphere, great food ... overall a wonderful experience. We enjoyed our dinner very much, will definitely come back if returning to LA

Great ambiance, very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food!!! This place is part of the Garland Hotel and much better place than we expected. Great outdoor and indoor dining, buffet offered during breakfast. Dog friendly.

The onsite restaurant at The Garland hotel, The Front Yard, is VERY pricey but the food is exceptional. We had deviled eggs (even better than mine!), brussel sprouts, halibut, biscuits with honey butter (amazing but unfortunately only served at night). All were terrific. Breakfast was great too with the best Chorizo I've ever had. Sunday Brunch is $59 per person, so we, of course, cancelled those reservations. Unfortunately they won't serve breakfast for over an hour before Sunday brunch, so if you don't want to pay $140+ for 2 people for brunch, either go well before 10 a.m. or plan on eating elsewhere on Sunday (which is what we did).

Very good, had the prosciutto and pear flatbread, my friend had the devil eggs, my other friend had the burger. Our waitress was great and the food was really good. Very nice outside patio and the weather was great.

Outstanding service. The food and beverage selection was plentiful and did not disappoint. I would recommend it. Seating inside and out.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at The Front Yard. Everything we ordered, brussels sprouts, flat iron steak & tagliatelle pasta was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed sharing their strawberry shortcake for dessert! The restaurant also has a great breakfast menu. We decided the buffet for the price was the best deal. So many items to choose from and everything was really good. It was really nice to also eat in a restaurant where you do not feel rushed and you can just enjoy your meal and the company you are with.

Great place for a nice dinner, Bar area was nice and good CA wines. Did the craft beer tasting and it was great. The warm olives were amazing. Friendly staff.

We arrived at the restaurant straight from flight, the restaurant is designed in the 80s style, if it is up-to-date food delicious and efficient and fast service, reasonable prices. We ate the hamburger made exactly as we requested and mushroom pizza.

... and the menu is very good (especially for a 'hotel restaurant). If I lived in the area, I would come here just to hang out and eat!

My Husband and I stayed at the beautiful boutique Garland Hotel this last weekend. We were tired when we checked in. We noticed the hotel had a cool looking Spanish style restaurant. We thought we would try it out, The kind gentlemen at the front desk quickly made a reservation for us. So glad he got us in. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The service and food was superb!! Definitely exceeded our expectations. And Josh at the bar made me the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. We were so impressed by the food and service, we returned for breakfast the next morning before heading out that day. We will definitely go again.

We visited this restaurant after a day at Harry Potter’s Wizarding World with our 6 yo twins. The service was friendly and efficient and our meal was tasty. I also really enjoyed the look/feel of the restaurant; we were seated in a pleasant covered patio with an open skylight, outdoors but protected from the breeze— a very pleasant setting for a pleasant meal. We did not see a kids menu online but they do have one— it was great to have an inexpensive option for them while we sampled the grown up food and cocktails. I liked everything I ate but was especially impressed by the spaghetti squash with pepitas pesto, and the drink I had— I don’t see it now on the online menu— that had rye, walnut liqueur, and (I think) maple bitters. Both things I am going to try to recreate at home! Our meal did cost ~$200 for four but it was money well spent as the quality of food was overall high and the atmosphere was good. Four stars because the kale Caesar was under salted— easily remedied— and my husband found his hamachi tartare “just ok.”

We stayed at the Garland on March 23 and March 24 and ate at The Front Yard restaurant on the 24th. My wife has a dairy allergy and we made sure to tell our server. He went to check with the chef about what we could eat and the item that my wife had initially selected was not dairy free so we decided to split a burger but with no cheese. The waiter, who was aware of her allergy took her order and, after a while, returned with the food. It was immediately clear, however, that the burger had cheese on it so we returned it. The waiter apologized and sent it back. A new burger was brought out and being very hungry by this time, we foolishly did not check it, trusting that the server and staff were aware or what non-dairy meant. We found out about four hours later that the burger (or the fries) contained something that was dairy (a butter wash, perhaps, or maybe the cheese was removed from the first burger and we were served the same burger). Normally, I would not consider the latter to even have been an option but as the evening wore on after we returned the first burger our waiter became increasingly disinterested in us. At the beginning of the evening, while we were discussing the allergy issue, the waiter let us know that the restaurant was trying new offerings so when the evening wrapped up, my wife told him that she did not care for the fries as they had a peculiar taste; her intention was merely to offer feedback as a customer but his response was a terse: "Well what do you want me to do about that"? The tone does not come across when writing but it was very out of line. Anyway, whatever it was that caused the allergic reaction, it was clear given the timing that the food that we had at the The Front Yard was the culprit. Within hours, my wife was VERY ill. It was not life threatening but she was sick all night and it essentially wiped the entire next day of our vacation out as she recovered. This was incredibly disappointing given the reviews for the restaurant. We understand that things happen sometimes, but when allergies are a concern, the utmost care should be taken to minimize them.

With a varied menu to suit a range of tastes, the meal was exquisite and well presented. It was a wonderful location for a special meal because of the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant had excellent service. The personnel made sure that every dining demand was satisfied in a timely and polite manner by being attentive, kind, and efficient. I had a wonderful meal at the restaurant.

This place is popular so make reservations in advance! The food and ambiance are incredible. You won't be disappointed.

Staying at the Garland hotel next door, we had breakfast twice and dinner once. There was sufficient variety and both the breakfast and dinner were tasty. The staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly Davina and Sonia. Thanks guys.

Busy, big, noisy restaurant that's actually part of a hotel. We were a bit cold as even the indoor seating is next to open windows (I guess due to covid, but rather excessive!) but otherwise this was a terrific meal. The food was excellent - brussels salad and cheese biscuits were so good we almost passed on the mains. But bolognaise pasta and squash salad were both delicious so we managed to force them down! Great value. Service was a bit hit and mis

Went here with all adult family members. Great atmosphere and no pressure to finish quickly which made the experience much more enjoyable. Very good and friendly service. Tasty food, but a bit expensive, but perhaps in line with other LA spots. Bottomless mimosas were great and reasonably priced. We would return if in the area again.

Decided to take a drive over from the Westside where my business engagement and hotel was based on reading about this place in a travel magazine and was happy I did. Great restaurant atmosphere and good food. I’ll definitely be back - even if I have to drive back to Marina Del Rey in the end :). Has this really cool LA vibe.

We couldn’t get a reservation and opted to sit at the bar-that ended up being the best thing to happen! Anthony was amazing and the entire bar staff was above par! Great atmosphere, amazing service, charismatic personality, just awesome!!! 5/5 highly recommend!!!

Agree with most of the comments about the good food. The grilled octopus, the scallops, flatbreads, etc. Was a bit surprised by the nearly $17 for a Grey Goose martini, though it was a good one. Happy to pay the auto 15% service charge, even bumped it up a tad. But the surprise was this killer LA photo of Jimi. Be sure to look for it.

The food was always delicious. The menu for the resort all comes from this restaurant but varies depending on where you order from (room service, pool or the restaurant)

Great service, quality and selection of food very good, pricey but worth it. Really lovely outdoor patio too.

Dohanna was our server, excellent from start to finish, the meal and the service. My husband had the flat iron steak with chimichurrie and substituted the fingerling smashed potatoes. I had the halibut special with a mustard seed topping, garlic ponzu and charred shisito peppers. He and I both agreed best meals we’ve had in awhile. Atmosphere great. Unexpected location by a hotel, and parking a little challenging but would definitely come again when in town. We live in SC and have not had a meal like this there, and we have a lot of choices with Savannah nearby, and Hilton Head.

We came here for dinner on our first night of our honeymoon to America, as it was part of our hotel. We both ordered the TFY burger, which was nice but nothing special. You can select how you want your patty to be cooked. The fries had a herb/paprika seasoning on them, but I was still left underwhelmed. They needed something more.... even just simple salt. We felt for what we got plus the 15% tax it became a very expensive meal that wasn't worth the price.

We stayed at the Garland for 1 night and had all 3 meals here. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I love how they have adopted a 12% VAT in the bill automatically for the front of house staff, which is great for us who come from country's that are not accustom to tipping.

Jack and Alicia made sure we had the absolute best time at my best friends bridal shower! Highly recommend this place the staff is beyond amazing and I can't even believe how special they made the entire experience!!!

Nice ambiance and the service was good. Problem was the food was just average. Service was good and the drinks were fine.

Nearly didn’t consider this restaurant due to fact that ‘hotel’ restaurants are usually under whelming , but The Front yard was an exception. The front of house lady kindly squeezed us in, even though they were very busy with locals and hotel guests and we were not disappointed. Delicious Californian cuisine under twinkling lights . Friendly server made helpful recommendations too . Would recommend .

We ate here 2 nights. Food was good and good range of options. We went early the first night and ate off of the bar menu, which had plenty of food for the whole family.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant - it's beautiful. And, there is lots of seating, so we didn't have to wait long even though we didn't have reservations. Of course, it was a Monday night so that had something to do with it. We shared a table full of appetizers and they were all good. The brussels sprouts were recommended by someone on Yelp and by our waiter and were very good. We also loved the mushroom flatbread, but it is very rich. Risotto and shrimp was okay, but the risotto was a little overcooked, I though. Shrimp was delicious. All in all, I would go back. Be aware they do add a 15% service fee and leave a space for an added gratuity. Our waiter made sure we were well aware of the ability to add to the established fee - which we did.

really one of the best places we ate in two weeks of a trip make sure you have the breakfast. stuff your face and make it last !

Stayed at the Garland and dined here once - beautifully decorated quaint little restaurant and also very popular it seems. Reservations particularly for the evening is highly recommended. Wonderful welcoming staff and great service. Sat at the bar for a burger and some drinks - cooked to perfection, tasty and came within minutes it felt like. Servers always attentive making sure everything is ok and re-filling your drinks as soon as empty. Comfortable dining experience. Coming from the UK, some may say this restaurant is overpriced. However, everything in Hollywood will be in comparison. Rest assured however, you will be paying for quality!

We were looking for a spot to celebrate a birthday -- fun, lively, and with seating outside (not just because of Covid but also to take advantage of the beautiful weather) -- and The Front Yard delivered. Cocktails inside at the bar was fun, but it was definitely loud and elbow-to-elbow, so we were glad to be seated in the patio with the fireplace and pretty lights. Our server was awesome: even though she was busy, she always made a point to stop by and check in. We enjoyed the food, the drinks, and definitely the ambiance!

We're staying at the Garland Hotel, so eating in The Front Yard was definitely on our list of things to do. It didn't disappoint. The food was fantastic and the staff were great. The 12 minute biscuits are worth the wait. The bacon and cheese biscuits were especially tasty. Great choice of wines too. Pretty pricey but well worth it. Great experience in a beautiful restaurant!

The buffet was delicious and varied. There were plenty of options for everyone. This was included in our conference, so I can't speak to the costs.

Jack was at the front when we arrived wuth our elderly grandfsther 2 minutes before openong on christmas. He sent us to wait out and after qe explaine qe had an elderly habdicapped gentleman with us he expressed he didn’t care. Steve Skorupa dhould run a tighter ship, shameful.

Everything we tried was delicious. From kids meals to adult. From main dishes to chorizo Mac and cheese. The buffet was ok but the breakfast menu were next level. Thanks.

Came here on. Tuesday night. Wasn’t busy but we were told to wait at the bar. No problem we ordered drinks and about 10 min later we were seated on the patio. Atmosphere- A+. This place is inviting and comfortable. Little white lights on the patio wrapped in gorgeous trees. The color palette is warm . Service- C. Our waiter described the appetizers and gave a few recommendations. He wasn’t attentive after that. We felt ignored most of the night. The place wasn’t that busy. Food- D- F. The best thing we ordered was the cheese biscuits . They were absolutely delicious. $17 for 2 . 😕 Chorizo deviled eggs - nice presentation but didn’t taste anything like chorizo. Pear& goat cheese - the goat cheese was the driest most tasteless goat cheese I’ve ever tasted. Chalk like/ no flavor/ dry and bad. Wedge salad- a few pieces of lettuce , couldn’t even tell you what the dressing was. It was a weak presentation. Chorizo Mac n Cheese- skip it! It’s no big deal tasted like boxed mac n cheese with chunks of chorizo sausage/salami. Bolognese- salty and pasta was way over cooked. The meat was tender. This place is also expensive especially for the quality of food you are served. Definitely disappointed in the meal.

Simply the most wonderful patio restaurant in Los Angeles! This picture perfect, Sunset Magazine dream of an indoor-outdoor restaurant serves amazing cuisine from sunrise to sunset. The Front Yard is a rare combination of setting, cuisine, and staff coming together to create something very special and welcoming. All the staff is attentive, warm, genuine and makes you feel like you’re special - a very rare find these days. Our server Sonia was amazing and gracious. The food is fresh, California inspired, cuisine with just the right special touches and personal interpretations. The setting is also a huge part of why we love this place! It’s a fluid flow from a 60s-70s inspired interior to a California patio compete with an adobe-like brick fireplace and umbrella covered garden deck under the shade of giant elm trees. Few restaurants in LA deliver the heart and soul of the city - but this is one of those rare places.

Being that we were only at this hotel for 5 nights only used this restaurant for breakfast, which was excellent.

The restaurant had a breakfast buffet and menu items. Both were outstanding! My daughter, my wife and I all loved it!

My family and I ate here 4 mornings in a row and the breakfast buffet was terrific - loved the chicken sausage and scrambled eggs with spinach in particular! I also met friends for dinner and the grilled octopus was great, as was the service every time that we visited The Front Yard. Check it out!

Good food and service, friendly staff and comfortable seating. As this was in our hotel and there were no others nearby, it was convenient too.

We stayed at the Garland for a few nights. Ate breakfast in the Front Yard twice. The first time we had the buffet. All the “hot” food displayed was only just warm. Poor choice of eggs. Waitress very good but on being told the food was not hot said she would report it. No apology etc from management or staff.

Just an FYII, the parking is a little haphazard as the front drive is small. A friend made reservations and was hoping for something intimate. The seating and the restaurant were very busy and there was no real sense of intimacy, unfortunately. As things start to ‘reopen’ in the Los Angeles area, we could see how people are looking forward to dining out again. Also realizing that there is currently a shortage of restaurant staff, one would still hope that the experience is worth the time and effort. For starters, we shared the ‘Wood Oven Roasted Olives’. They were fantastic !! Served with a type of flatbread, they were the perfect complement to the champagne we had ordered. My new partner ordered the ‘Seared Rare Ahi’ and I chose the ‘Tagliatelle Bolognese’. Both of these entrees were very good – especially impressed with the Bolognese. The service, however, was really not that great. When I dine out I expect for the waitstaff to check on our table regularly. It makes the meal so much better. We have dined at some of the best restaurants in the world, and have come to expect a lot, but also realizing that there are differing standards depending on the prices / type of restaurant. Whenever I have a pasta dish, I like to have a glass of red wine. I should have ordered this right up front. When you have to ask the bussers to get the waitresses attention, it really irks me. The tip, consequently, goes down because of this fact. My advice: check on your tables on a regular basis and things will run smoother and your customers will be happier. Not sure if we will return, but I can recommend the food.

Had a great visit here while in L.A. food was excellent and I loved the atmosphere! Great service. The deviled eggs were so good!

I have been here many many times before & loved it before. And couldn't wait to go back. I was so excited Today to finally go there with a few of us girls to fianlly see each other to catch up and to relax. But our experiance was hotible this time. They discrimated us because we were Middle Eastern. The manager accused us & were falsely treated for something we didn't do. Then the security threatened us then the manger told us that we want you to girls to pay and leave. When we got back to sitting after taking few pictures our waitress brought the check and told us she was told to give it to us to pay & leave. When we had asked to speak to the manage the waitress said that the manager refused to come to speak to us. What is the managers job? If not to come and take care of us paying customers, I have never her of or seen a manager refusing to speak to customers. The poor waitress was even surpised why the manager didn't come out to speak to us. Instead the security guy was sent to us. Was a racist restaurant. I will take my money and our next girls get together to somewhere else to enjoy our time and we don't have to be worried of being profiled. It was very uncomfortable. If there was a zero star I would give a negative 0. I hope the manager gets fired for being racist. Shame on you for this day and time to still be treated like this. Shame...

Service was great! It was very busy, every table was taken, and we didn't wait for anything. Reservations are a good idea. We asked for a regular 4 top table because they also have comfortable couch seating as well.

Easter Brunch was horrible. I don't think a possum would eat this food. Server was very attentive, good, manager was kind. Food embarrassingly bad. The nerve to charge $60.00 for such an atrocious, that’s right … atrocious meal. Had I been the server, I’d have been embarrassed to serve the food we were given. Management should be ashamed of the menu offered. It wasn’t just a matter of taste. It was down-right horribly appalling. The cook should be ashamed of themself. Disgusting. I can’t even believe they serve this slop. Dessert was even worse!!!

This place is gorgeous inside. Someone carefully paired all the furnishings and captured this post mid- century vibe that adds to ambiance. Drinks are well-curated. Good beer and wine choices. Everything we had off the menu was prepared as imagined. Perfect for a special dinner/ date night.

I recently went here while visiting Universal Studios. The restaurant is connected to a hotel. it has a fun & swanky vibe to it. It has great lighting in the evening. We sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Veryyyyy friendly wait staff! I got a blackberry vodka drink of some sort - it was deeeeelicious! (sorry I forgot the name of it) I went there for the jalapeno grits & shrimp. That was the only disappointing thing we had that evening. They were more like stiff mashed potatoes vs. grits and rather salty but the restaurant was great in taking them back without question. Now onto everyyyyyyyyything else we had! We couldn't decide so decided to order a bunch of appetizers & tapas for dinner. The best: the octopus & 7 minute biscuits! Those 2 items will make me return there every time I am in L.A.! They were sooooooooooo good! The octopus was tender & delicious and the biscuits were to die for (and I am not typically a biscuit fan). So good! We also got chorizo deviled eggs & the chorizo & burrata flatbread. Both were good but that octopus was divine! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. They also brought over a cake pop for a birthday treat (which was super chocolaty & fudgy - mmmm)! I will definitely return next time I am in the area.

The staff were the highlight of our first visit to The Front Yard. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The Brunch featured a good selection and the food was very good. The drink menu is also tasty. Overall we will keep The Front Yard on our list of places to go back to when we are visiting in LA.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There were many options for the whole family. Service was great and our waitress even went to the back to see if there was a different yogurt flavor for our son. The restaurant is very classy. It was a great way to start our day.

This is my favorite place to eat in the LA area! The food is awesome and the service is excellent! I love that the staff who work there have been there for awhile! I have been coming here since 2010 and some of the staff have been there a long time! I also love how you are greeted by the hostesses and the manager walks around to make sure everything is good. The servers are also Awesome especially my favorite server Sonia and the Staff who sets and cleans the tables!!!!!!

Staying at the hotel and saw they had a happy hour offer so enquired about a table for 5 for an early tea with the kids. Happy hour ran till 5.30pm but was told we needed to get a table for 5pm so tables could be cleared for the evening bookings - fair enough. This was at 4.48pm, so left to get the kids out of the pool and returned just after 5pm. Was told that because it was 5.04pm we could only eat at a coffee table despite the restaurant being empty. If we wanted a table we would have to pay full price at the pool bar. Really poor customer service. Went to the pool bar and ordered food there I the end and was honestly the worst food we have had during our 2 week trip. Would not recommend. A shame as the hotel is great but this put a real negative view on our stay here. Would I stay here again? Maybe…. Would I eat here again…. Definitely not. I’d advise others to stay elsewhere, worst customer service I’ve experienced for a while.

Good for breakfast but very over priced for dinner. We stayed in the hotel and went 2 nights with the hope the 2nd night would be better - it wasn’t. The service staff are very nice but the food is over priced. We had cold soup and cold fries on night 1 and a long wait for the main. On night 2 the main came whilst we still had starters. It was fried chicken and mac and cheese. Franky not as good as KFC but meal was over $200 for the 2 of us. It’s a nice location and good ambience but has the feel of a restaurant where the management are living off a high rating and don’t care. Enjoy for breakfast go elsewhere for dinner.

Stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Very unique and diverse menu. Was pleasantly surprised, however; a little pricey.
Kale Salad! So good!
You can't go wrong with the Kale Salad and an Iced Tea for lunch! Both are outstanding! I had the pleasure of enjoying this restaurant for its cocktails and social hour - it was outstanding!
