Came here for Saturday night dinner. First thing to know is to make a reservation. As far as parking, there is a small lot across the street where you can park. The cost is $20 on weekends. The food was good. For a Brazilian Rodizio-style steakhouse, the salad and side items(garlic rice & mashed potatoes) were really good. The service was okay, as our reservation was closer to the last hour of the restaurant being open. The meats were plentiful, but some of them I did have to ask the servers for a couple of times. Also, noticed that certain meats came around much more frequently. But the drinks were good. I had a mango caipirinha & my wife had a mojito, which she enjoyed. Maybe I'd come back, but this was just a standard Bgazilian steakhouse to me...not a standout.

Love it!! Went for dinner with my family, food was awesome and staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend to others.

Knowing we were visiting Seattle for a few days, we saw a Groupon for The Grill From Ipanema and decided to purchase. So glad we did! The salad buffet was spectacular; couldn't imagine anything else we would want. Grilled vegetables, pasta dishes, you name it; it was there. Once you were sated (and we tried to restrict our intake so we would have plenty of room for meat!), you turn your card to green and the charming group of servers begin coming to your table to offer an array of grilled meats that would satisfy even my carniverous son-in-law! We ate a huge variety of cuts of chicken, steak, pork and thought we were too stuffed to eat another morsel, when our waiter asked if there was anything we had missed. I jokingly said Lamb and bam! there it was at the table. The wine list was not huge, but very reasonable and we ordered a local wine and it was so enjoyable. Would have loved to have tried dessert, but there is only so much two stomachs can hold! Also thrilled that we had a somewhat long walk home! Would highly recommend -- service was great, the layout and accoustics make conversation easy and the food was consistently great.

Calling this place a Churrascaria is a travesty to a REAL traditional one. The vibe itself was unpleasant enough, and the staff wasn’t any different. The salad bar was small and unappetizing, looked like it was picked over without refreshing it. Inattentive main server, ridiculously expensive prices for low quality meat and service. Speaking of the main course, the meats were slowly rotating, claiming 17 varieties? I felt like it was maybe 7-8 different meats unfortunately, with some not-so throughly cooked and bloody meats. Small and sad shrimp that tasted rubbery and stale. The highest priced wine in a glass was low quality as well, unbelievable. This restaurant is not worth the visit, stay away…

Great atmosphere, food terrific, drinks outstanding. Staff is engaging and knowledgeable. Really fun experience. Pricey.

At this Brazilian restaurant, we expected a variety of meats (and caramelized pineapple!) to be offered, but the Grill from Ipanema meats came quickly and often. What we didn't expect was the four tables groaning with salads and side dishes! Do try the Brazilian lemonade - it's fantastic!!

This place was ok, good food and variety of meats. What I don't understand is how the price is equal to a Fogo de Chao when the quality and quantity of the food and cuts of meat, especially the salad bar, is not on the same level. Don't get me wrong, the food and staff is great (especially the meat guys), but the price left me with a bad after taste. Also, as soon as you arrive they provide some fried cinnamon plantains, which were awesome by the way, and some "salgadinhos de queijo" (cheese balls) that were cold. I would rather see some pao de queijo instead, which are way better and a staple at other Brazilian Steakhouses. Once again, i had a good meal, but it cold have been better for the price.

The vast array of choices keeps the meal interesting. The salad bar was very good with a variety of choices, something for everybody. Very accommodating staff.

Our first time at a Brazilian bbq. Host was very friendly and even let us know there was a groupon available. Great service from all the meat servers and the bus boy was very prompt with clearing plates and refilling water! Most meats were delicious with the peppered sirloin steak taking the gold medal! The salad bar also had many choices. Have already recommended to others.

Meat is really good. There is a good variety. The salad bar is amazing. It might be one of the best salad bars in Seattle. Don't forget to try the Brazilian black bean plates!

Went there with hubby, granddaughter and her boyfriend. Restaurant is nicely decorated, you go there for the meat, no menus, nice selection at the salad bar to accompany your meat. They were serving 18 different kind of meat , i do not know if I saw 18 but we had plenty, lamb, sausage, shrimp, chicken ribs any kind of beef cut, the meat was delicious, loved the pineapple If I lived in Seattle that would be one I would go back too

Need reservations for Saturday evening. Restaurant opened at 5 PM and was full by 5:30. Selection of grilled meat was excellent as was the salad bar. Had several servings of grilled pineapple. Wine selection was good. Another table were served ribs; but, they were not offered to our table.

The owner of this restaurant also owns the Buenos Aires Grill down the street. The beef is tasty, and there is a fixed price for all you can eat. The problem is you wind up eating too much. Live drink and be merry, for tomorrow we diet!

Servers rotate 18 different meats out for you to try and there is also a medium sized salad bar if you want something lighter. The lamb was a favorite at our table. Perfect place to go if you want to get the meat sweats.

We arrived at 5:00 and got a table without issue. We had a few drinks caipirinha - yeah! The salad bar was great. The meat selection kept coming. The pecana was the best. Dessert was great. 5 people, $ 330!

We went there for a B-day party. the food was OK. service was acceptable. the price is too high. It was interesting to go and check it out since never been there before but probably won't go back again.

As a Brazilian I know and enjoy very much “Churrascarias”, and I travel all around the world as a Airline Pilot, and this one deserve a 5 stars! Very good meat quality and the staff are well trained and very helpful. I really recommend and I’ll come back for sure!

I love to eat at Brazillian Steakhouses. I have no problem with the cost. Besides all the meat options there is a salad bar. I ate few plates of salad and fresh fruit. I sampled all the meats offered but one. We had a groupon but I would eat here again without it. The food was amazing and the customer service was top notch. If you are a vegetarian, you may want to go elsewhere. If you believe in meat you are in for a treat. There is shrimp, beef, bison, pork, lamb and chicken.

The place is really nice. The meat was very good and the staff was excellent. If you like meat you should consider going there.

Its our first time on a Brazilian steakhouse! The Rodizio dinner is where they give you a small circular card with red on one side and green on the other side. You will have to flip it to green if you want more meat coming or red to stop. The staff are nice. They have live music from a very talented person. Meats are good quality. They have different cuts of meat from sirloin, pepper steak, garlic steak, lamb, buffalo, shrimp, pineapple, sausage, bacon and pork, and lots more. They have a salad and fruit bar as well. We didn't get any from the salad bar. It was really good and you have to come with an appetite. It was the most expensive "buffet" (you can consider it buffet, eat all you can meat) but you just stay on your table and the meat will come to you. I probably will come back here for special occasions only and also if I have a groupon or coupon, coz even with my discount it is still expensive but I think worth the experience once in while.

In our ongoing quest to try new dining experiences, I took my lovely bride of 44 years of marriage to The Grill From Ipanema. Groupon had a special discount which made it a bit more affordable for this senior couple. The dining experience was awesome. All the meats we tried were stellar in flavor and well-prepared. The buffet was generously appointed with plenty of new dining experiences. But the nice part was the green dot/red dot signaling method for the meat server with regards of when we were ready to try the next meat being offered. We were given our own tempo for when we wanted to eat and for how long we wanted to stay. We truly enjoyed our dining experience. What put a damper onto the experience was the lack of parking around the restaurant. The Belltown area of Seattle has limited parking availability and costs for parking is the price of a decent meal for one person anywhere outside the downtown Seattle area. As much as we enjoyed the food, we sadly must say that it stretches our budget far beyond what we consider "affordable."

If you're a serious meat-eater, this is a place you should try. They do Brazilian rodizio--grilled meat, all kinds of it, brought around on skewers and sliced off for you at your table. Chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, sausage, bison, all different cuts of beef, rare to well-done, whatever you want, any and all of them. They keep bringing it until you say, no more, but if you finish that and you still have room, they'll bring some more. They also have a buffet table with salads, fruits, cold cuts, and other sides. You can get just the cold table, but if you're not fond of grilled meats, the Grill From Ipanema would have a lot less to recommend it. People who like good meat, simply prepared, and lots of it, should love it. The dining room is nice enough, not quiet and intimate but certainly a place where you can have a conversation across the table. They have a little bit of a view of the bay, between buildings, but it's not really a major feature. The website says they have live music some nights, but they didn't while we were there. The service isn't the usual style--one server takes your drink and dessert orders, but in between a lot of different ones will come around with skewers of various meats, and you serve yourself at the buffet. It works pretty well. They're a few blocks north of Pike Place Market in Belltown, which is a popular area with lots of restaurants and bars. If you drive, you might get lucky and find street parking, but if not, there's a pay lot across the street.

Where we live, we don't have any Rodizio options available so we went to The Grill From Ipanema twice during our stay in Seattle. Once for dinner on a Friday night for a date night and once for lunch Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. Dinner had 17 cuts of meat and lunch had 10. The filet mignon was the best cut of meat for dinner. It was the first one they brought out and we only got it once. The rest of the meats were decent but for $52/person for dinner, $32 for lunch, it's hard to say it was worth the price. The salad bar is available at a lower rate without the meat but there isn't a ton of Brazilian variety at the salad bar. We had 6 people for lunch on Sunday and I didn't like that we were sat in a booth, which is extremely inconvenient for 6 people trying to access the salad bar and restrooms, etc especially when tables were available. We got to a ton of Rodizio places in Boston for a fraction of the price and more variety. I wouldn't say that we regret going to The Grill From Ipanema, but I don't believe the food is worthy of the price. It seemed like a lot of diners were there with Groupons which did help the cost, but not by much. We still paid $65 for dinner after the $30 Groupon so $95 for dinner for 2 and we paid $40 (after 18% auto included gratuity) for lunch after the $20 Groupon so $65 for lunch for 2.

This Brazilian Steakhouse is along First Avenue in Belltown. It is spacious with a fixed price for all you can eat of beef, pork, plus a variety of fruits, vegetables, salads. The only challenge-to pull yourself away from the table

Took a walk and found this place. Great atmosphere and food. Having been to several Brazilian steakhouses I found the cheese bread sub-par as they were very textured and not that appetizing. The meats were cooked well as were the shrimp. The pineapple could have been done a little more also but overall a good experience.

This is the second time we've been here. The first time, we had horrible service. So we were a bit nervous to try it again. We were not disappointed. The "salad bar" which is really a "meal bar" had a huge variety of foods from cheeses to salads, to stew and soups and lots of veggies. That alone would fill anyone up. We also ordered the meat (Rodizio). We were constantly being fed - everything from sirloin to pork and chicken. They only had one seafood - shrimp. We ate as much as we could. They also give you a plate of special bread and fried bananas. We were very happy with the service and the constant choice and supply of meats. Our waiter was Connor and he was excellent. He kept us all happy and he was very attentive and friendly. We would definitely go here again. Be warned - it is not cheap. The "salad bar" is $30 alone. The "salad bar" + Rodizio is $50. Plus drinks. They have a decent wine list.

Lots of variety of quality meat and salad. Beef pork fish chicken prawns. All taste so good. But the restaurant is expensive.

Great server!!! Host needed some work. But the floor staff was awesome! The food was awesome! The meat was great!!

I know that the salads are only a supporting actor, but the chicken salad was killer. The real star is the never-ending rotation of skewers and the choices you care to partake in. Cannot imaging leaving hungry.

The Brazilian food need more improvements. Since I had tried Novilhos Brazilian food I was not impressed with the food here.

This place is a good option when craving rodizio. My only complaint is that they do not offer any other items or options a la carte.

This is a typical Brazilian "all you can eat" steakhouse with servers who come to your table with various meats on a skewer in addition to a buffet with both hot and cold dishes. The buffet has an abundance of choices, some of the selections were: meat and cheese tray, fruit tray, rice pudding, baked apples, caprese salad, potato salad, chicken salad, three different green salads, mushrooms, eggplant and peppers, salmon, two soups and some traditional Brazilian hot dishes. The meat offerings were all good: sausage, ribs, steak, Parmesan pork (my favorite), bacon wrapped steak, chicken as well as grilled pineapple. The server also brought out cheese bread and deep fried bananas. We had the flan for dessert and enjoyed it very much. Service was excellent, food was plentiful. Great location with partial water views of Puget Sound. Fun, enjoyable dining experience.

It was an interesting dining experience. I enjoyed the salad bar a lot more than the meat they served because most were kind of too salty. The pepper steak was good. Filet mignon was so and so. The leg of lamb was a bit chewy. However, the Caipirinha was delicious and their desserts are recommended too.

My husband and I are meat lovers! There... you can't eat perfectly cooked, tender and juicy meat! It was really delicious, mouth watering and unimaginable gourmand! The service is excellent! We went there with our children (5 and 3 years old). The attendant took us to a very cozy corner with sofa, as one of our son was sleeping... They were very friendly and attentive. It's a buffet with all you can eat meat that sliced on your plate... Churrascaria style... They will keep slice the meat on your plate, until you give the red-card sign to stop! If you feel like it, you can flip the card to green again when you are ready to have more. Free for children less than 5 years old. To my surprise, our children, who are normally so difficult to eat meat, wanted to try and they ate them! Which mean the meat was so good!

You'll probably spend more than you might like to here but the food is good and even during the busy dinner hours the service is good too. The salads are good but don't waste any valuable meat space there. Good place for the dedicated carnivore looking for a meat fix.

Every time we go, the food is wonderfully delicious. Besides the meat, the side bar is so full of veggies, fruits and salads. The service is excellent and you never run out of food to eat if you do not get enough of a certain meat, just ask and they will bring it around again. This is the all you can eat for one price.

One of the many meats come to your table places, but there are other options. The salad bar is outstanding and includes enough meats, seafood etc to provide a complete meal

The food just kept coming and it was all very good! The wait staff was attentive, but not hovering at the table.

Love the happy hour drinks!! Great local place. Happy hour 3-6pm Sat. Night... live music!! Alberto makes great drinks.. Gostosa, Goiaba are my favorite drinks. $6...

The dinner was fantastic! The salad bar has to be one of the largest and well stocked of any top end restaurant anywhere with something literally for everyone. The meats just kept coming during dinner and there wasn't a single bad one in the bunch. For someone who is a meat connoisseur look no further....this place is absolutely incredible! A MUST EAT kind of place!!!

We were looking for a brazilian restaurant in downtown Seattle and we tried this one. The food was very good, especially the meat of which you have a wide choice. The salads offer variety of choice as well. Service has been rapid and efficient but the place is very simple and basic and you should set your expectations accordingly (no table cloth, lights from high ceiling and not particularly warm, etc.....) Plenty of honest good food in a basic setting.

I found this place on groupon, called to make reservations as instructed. No one answered the phone so I left a message. I never received a follow up call so I made a reservation via OpenTable. Come the night of my reservation, we are seated, briefly explained on the operations of their Dinner buffet. After ordering our first round of drinks, we never saw our waitress again. It was not until my company went to the restroom and flagged her down on the way that we were able to order more drinks. At the very start of the night I addressed the fact that I had a groupon. The waitress acknowledge with a head nod and made no other mention about. So now we are trying to pay the bill our cards are charged the full amount without the Groupon (not surprised, but not super annoying). She assures us that the charged had been voided and we should see a refund on our bank statements, it typically takes 3-5 business days for that to reflect (it is day 4 so I will not complain). The next day I receive n email from OpenTable saying that my reservation was canceled. I assumed this was a mistake, I called the restaurant, no answer, left another message. Still no response. After calling 5 times and leaving three voicemails, I am extremely surprised at how such a great restaurant can have such poor customer service. The food was again delicious, however due to the service I will not return to this establishment, or recommend it. However with all this trouble I have found other restaurants with similar food and I hope the experience will be a more pleasant one somewhere else.

Drinks were pretty good. Service was quite slow. Steak appetizer was so tough we were only able to eat about a quarter of it. Chicken was very dry and nearly flavorless. Shrimp were very small and extremely tough. The only dish that was passable was the sausage appetizer. Will not return and would never recommend

Brazilian restaurant is a great experience, especially if you are looking for various meats with great flavor. We got full so fast, so much better to pay the lunch price vs.. dinner price. The bread things (I dont know what it was) were super amazing. There are salad bar options - dont get too full with the salad.

I made a reservation for a nice NYE dinner for my husband and me and our two children. What was supposed to be a special dinner to start our getaway, turned out to be the worst part of the trip! We waited an hour for a drink and they never brought out another until we asked for the check. We were without any meat, just a salad bar for most of the time there and when they did come to us with meat it was the same 3 types of meat. I asked to speak to the manager and explained this to him but he just said that they were busy. I wish we had picked another place. That was an expensive dinner for the quality of food we could have had a place half the price!

Meat, meat and more meat. Beef, chicken, pork, turkey, bison, sausage, bacon, and the infamous grilled pineapple all served at your table hot and off of the skewer. The salad bar compliments the meats with good quality side dishes. Groupon introduced to this restaurant and I'm happy they did.

Wow. Truly horrendous experience. If i say 2 of the 4 of our party spat out the chicken and the pineapple was the best thing about this ‘meat’ restaurant that should tell u all. The meat was really poor quality and mostly completely over cooked. The service was a mixture of sour and in your face. Only when it was clear that we were not going to eat anything else did the ‘special meats’ arrive out. Zero love and attention given to the food or the customers. Dreadful

The quality of the food was decent, Service was good but not all of the meats made it to our table. For the price, desert should be included. Discount coupons are available to make the value a bit better. Accessibility is bad. Parking is horrendous on weekends and evenings in this area. You can end up paying just as much for parking as for your meal!

Sometimes when you see a restaurant that routinely advertises on Groupon you might think that they have a hard getting customers. Not the case here. I have dined here many times over the years and always feel as though the product far exceeds the expenditure. Terrific salad bar and the cuts of meat are delightful. Terrific place to bring out of town guests to and then go to Pike Place.

We go here for special occasions and this last time for a friends birthday was above and beyond! Our service was phenomenal and the food as always was perfect and came out perfectly cooked the entire time!

I am writing this review to warn others about the unacceptable and aggressive behavior we experienced at The Grill from Ipanema in Seattle. After receiving little to no service during our visit; dirty plates piling up, no guidance on how the rodizio works, and a server who barely acknowledged us; we politely raised concerns about being forced to pay a 20% service charge, despite their own policy stating it only applies to parties of six or more. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, the owner insulted me directly, calling me a “son of a bitch,” and aggressively ripped the check out of my hand. This behavior was witnessed by others in the restaurant and left us feeling shocked and unsafe. We were stunned, what was supposed to be a casual dinner turned into an intimidating and hostile encounter. This is not simply poor customer service-this crosses the line into verbal abuse and physical aggression, and it should not be tolerated by any business, especially in the hospitality industry. I strongly encourage anyone considering visiting this restaurant to be extremely cautious, especially if you intend to use a Groupon or dare to speak up when service is not met. We will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau and recommend that others do the same to prevent future guests from experiencing what we did. We are also considering additional actions given the seriousness of what happened This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and must be stopped.

My husband and I took our oldest daughter out for a birthday dinner at The Grill from Ipanema. The whole family agreed we would have preferred to dine somewhere else. Service was very slow and sparse to say the least. We had the option of grilled pineapple 3 times before any meat came by. Service for the meat was really slow; we all got full off of the salad bar, which for $50 per person did NOT make us happy. My husband and I both ordered a cup of coffee after dinner and both cups were ice cold! The waitress asked if we wanted to wait while they brew a fresh batch and that was our last straw, we were ready to leave. This is really unfortunate as we were all excited to experience a Brazilian Steakhouse, but this has turned us off from trying again.

I went a Saturday night for dinner, after eating from the buffet I waited so long for the first server to bring the meat skewer (chicken), after waiting about 10 more minutes a second server arrived with another variety of chicken< I asked for meat (picanha) and arrived about half and hour later and was cool. I thought that because was Saturday and was dinner which is more expensive the experience would be better. I won't come back, I prefer Fogo da Chao or Novilhos because they have the servers running with the meat more frequently. I need to say that the atmosphere was good.

Nice concept but doesn't work. The meats were nicely presented and grilled over charcoal. Two problems, seasoning was so salty we found several only edible after scraping off the seasonings and disappointed that tri-tip and bacon wrapped beef and pork were repeatedly offered; but the more expensive meats like filet, ribeye, lamb, buffalo either never offered (even after asking) or only once. The pineapple as others commented was delicious. With dozens of restaurants nearby would suggest going elsewhere especially at a bit over $60 a person. 😔

Celebrated a milestone. Our server was excellent. The food, Rodizio was good and in ample supply. Gauchos were attentive and served us in a timely basis. The salad bar had lots of choices. Dessert, pava de maracuja was good. We had the featured drink, Caipirinha-Goiaba,with guava juice. It was great. I recommend going for lunch. You can get a feel for the food offerings and save a little money. This is a restaurant that you go to if you like to eat meat. They have moved. GPS took us to the old location which is approximately 15 mins or so from the new location. Double check and make sure that you go to the correct location, 2313 !st St.

This was the best rodizio dinner I have ever had. The service was top notch - the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and the meats were coming so fast you could hardly keep up! Everything was delicious but the parmesan pork and the grilled pineapple we're my personal favorites. The salad/side bar had many more options than I have ever seen, and it was a great addition. Not to mention, this is a great location - not far from the market. PLUS we had a Groupon so we got a pretty good discount. I would definitely recommend!!

It was our first experience to a Brazilian steakhouse (we purchased a Groupon) and had a fun experience. When you walk in there is a buffet of salad, fruit, and sides that will come with your rodizio dinner, but I suggest you don't waste your stomach space on this. Ipanema boasts 16 different meats which they bring around until you indicate you are full. The selection tonight included sirloin, filet mignon, sausage, bacon wrapped steak and turkey, bison, buffalo, lamb, parmesan pork, garlic steak, and steak infused with cheese. As you are finishing up your meat, they bring around grilled pineapple, so be sure to save room for that. Service was good, our waiter was very attentive and the pace the meat was brought to our table was just right. My only suggestion is that I wish they provided a sheet in the menu that told me what kinds of meat would be served that night, so I could be sure to try them all.

What a let down the quality of food has gone down greatly the top quality of meats are no longer here at this restaurant. We have come to this restaurant many times in past years and the food was great. This was my bday dinner out of all the restaurants in Seattle I picked here and what a total let down.

Dined here some time ago and overall I thought it wasn't that great of an experience, but neither was it dismal. The staff were quite attentive and were always bringing cuts of meat around. However I will say that the overall price for the buffet is quite exorbitant - I was charged $75 (without any beverage)....quite overpriced! The buffet selection was one of the sparsest I have ever come across in a rodizio! There could have been a larger selection e.g. there were no heart-of-palm salad, or avocado sides. None of the buffet items contained any shrimp/prawn which was a let down. Seafood side dishes are an integral part of the rodizio dining experience. There was black beans and rice. Least authentic Brazilian churrascaria to date! Don't think I will be wasting my money again to come here!

This place is over priced they come out with thin slices of meat then they don't come back I was there with 6 other people 20% tip on your bill they never asked us how our food was or came around to ask us if we needed more to drink I don't see how this place is ever in business they don't even know what kind of cuts of meat they are bringing out it is a waste all around eat somewhere else don't waste your time or money I don't see how people can give 5 stars they must be employees or family members

Not the greatest Brazilian I've been too... but very good. My wife has dietary restrictions and they kindly let her have a soup and desert at no charge while the rest of us pigged out. Every thing was wonderful, well cooked, although Im not so sure about the chicken dishes.

We had a reservation tonight, Valentine's Day at 6:45. When we arrived there was a line of people who also had reservations. They overbooked and were not prepared for this evening. We ended up waiting in line but decided to leave after standing for over 30 minutes. What an awful experience on a day that was supposed to be special for my girlfriend and I. Shame on you!!!

Oh yes, this is a good place to eat and experience. One of the highlights of our three week holiday in the USA. You control what you eat and when you eat very good quality well cooked food at a decent price. I will try to add pictures at a later date.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. We got a groupon and paid for dinner with that and then some. The manager was so mortified by how long the wait was he gave us a free drink for next time we came in, but never came back in. Be careful to review the places before you buy a groupon or livingsocial certificate because some companies are dying and rely on sites like those to stay afloat. Word of mouth used to mean a lot. I hope it still does.

My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for the last few years every time we come to Seattle. The food and service are very good. However here are a couple of observations since our last visit. The salad bar is not as good as it use to be. Perhaps it is because we visited midweek. The selection in the salad bar is not as good. For example we noticed there was an asparagus plate that they took away around 7:30pm but they never replenished. They used to also have a very nice mixed mushroom dish at the salad bar. This time it was only white mushrooms. We also noticed this time they have toned down all of the flavour of the meats. The meats use to be much better seasoned. We were often adding salt to the meat this time. Perhaps they are adjusting to the local clientele. They have added some nice options such as bacon wrapped beef and 3 different types of beef / pork ribs. The lamb is also very good. A parking tip is to find street parking if possible. Last year we came it was pouring rain and we ended up just parking in the lot across the street for convenience. However street parking is much less expensive at $1 per hour. Across the street there is a parking attendant who helps you punch in your parking space number. What you don't realize is that he has already selected the most expensive 12 hour overnight option before you notice it - $14!

Let's start with the small buffet table.. it has some desserts/ fruits, salad, some side dishes and sauces such as chimi churi. it feels like you've seen a bigger buffet table elsewhere... but let's talk about the meat- the real reason you come here: They are quite tasty, with a lot of variation between the meat cuts.. Overall, not the best churasco, but it is as solid as they come. PS. This place is perfect for large gatherings because they have a big space to accommodate everyone!!!!!

Excellent meats,(House Sirloin was the best) served fresh, you pick what and how much you want to eat. Salad and soup bar was good. Desserts were excellent, service was spot on and in constant motion. Pricey - $60 per person for food only but a great way to try a variety of meats to see what you really like.

I have been to the Grill from Ipanema a few times with a groupon. At first it was a fun experience and all the servers were very friendly, so we could justify the cost as a fun night out. However this last time we weren't able to leave with feeling that it was a night well spent. When we walked in the door, we weren't greeted by the hostesses. We waited for the two to finish their discussion about what they were going to do over the weekend, and she didn't even say hello, just asked us our name for the reservation. When we were seated our server seemed nice enough, and we started to get food. The food we were provided was pretty fatty, and it wasn't the same quality we had other times. When we finished, my husband asked a busser if she would take his plate, and she rolled her eyes and sighed as if it was a huge inconvenience. Once we got the bill, we left with this feeling that we disrupted everyone who worked at the restaurant. When we got home we discussed that we didn't think we would return.

Went for dinner with another couple. The service was very good. Our waitress explained everything. The cocktails were large and good. The salad bar was extensive, fresh and good. The meats were excellent. The servers kept bringing the meats. It was pleasant. Now why I probably will never go back. We had a table next to the windows at the back of the restaurant. As we were settling in to our seats, the other couple remarked about the rats in the dumpster that the window looks down on. Sure enough there were several rats climbing in and out of the open dumpster and on the chain link fence. I looked later and they were gone. But they were back before we left. I don’t know if it was their dumpster. Regardless, it was behind their building and it should have been closed. I assume they have a rodent mitigation plan. But?? Should I have mentioned it? Suggested they close the dumpster? Left the restaurant? I don’t know. I didn’t want to spoil the dinner of others in the restaurant who were unaware. If I had done any of this, certainly others would have become aware. It is concerning if management was unaware of the situation and even more concerning if they knew and didn’t have staff close the dumpster no matter who it belonged to.

Visited here last week with some friends while visiting Seattle for a week. Having been to lots of this style of restaurant in both the US and Europe, the choice of meats (and prawns) here was amongst the best we have had and the quality was great. The salad bar was a little lacking in variety but overall a great restaurant with good wine and a nice relaxed atmosphere!

Recommend reservations, at least on the weekends. Paid parking available directly across from restaurant. Got a table exactly on time. Restaurant was clean. Bathrooms ok. Salad bar was fresh with selections that paired nicely with the meats. Multiple selection were great, beef, turkey, lamb, chicken, pork, shrimp, and pineapple. Different varieties of each. Flan was rich and delicious. Mojito was delicious and the live music was entertaining. Less than 10 min drive from Seattle ferry. Be prepared to drop some money. $70 a person with an adult drink not counting desert and tip. Great night out and delicious food. Our table near the north window did not seem to get many stops by the “passadores” in the beginning but, make no mistake we got our fill.

So much meat and all delicious. Really great experience. You walk in, sit down, and then can immediately get some great salad from their salad/appetizer bar. They give you a circle that is red for stop on one side and green for go on the other. When flipped to green, they bring you a new slice of meat every five minutes. So many delicious cuts and all cooked perfectly. We had so much beef, pork and turkey that we didn’t need dessert. It also helped that they brought deep fried bananas and cheese balls. So good!

This is the second Brazilian restaurant my husband and I have been to (the other in Colorado). It was a nice restaurant, good salad bar, great meat, really nice waiter, and overall good experience. It's pricey ($50 per person) but the food is amazing! The drinks we had were really good as well, I had the strawberry lemonade and it is the best one I've ever had!

We went to Seattle for a short 2 day mini vacation. The hotel we stayed at had a guide to eat pamphlet. And we chose this place. The service was great! One price all you can eat, but not buffet style. A very nice restaurant! They bring every choice of meat you can think of to your table. Pork, beef, buffalo, chicken, turkey, shrimp! Pricey but well worth it! Thanks so much for the great dinner! Tina from Idaho

There is a lovely salad bar, return as often as you like to refill your plate but leave room for the BBQ food cooked on skewers, Steak,Turkey, Chicken, Pork, Bison, Sausages in various forms and delicious grilled pineapple. This is brought to your table while you have the green sign on the table - flip it to red if you need a rest.

We were moving around !st Avenue to found a place to eat. All of them had 1 hr waiting time, so we decided to enter here. We were very pleased to get a table by the window and start eating. In Brazilian Rodizios, First you have tha salad bar; dont grab too much of it... then you have to know the cuts of meat. They will bring first the average ones (so you fill up), and at the end the good ones (like Picanha), so you will have less. This is the way around this type of restaurants. We ate a lot and food was very good.... and suprise to have this type of restaurant in Seattle. If you like to eat a lot of good meat, and have some brazilian drinks, this is the place... with brasilian music on the background!!

Stopped here for dinner and we were not disappointed. The salad bar was pretty good but don't visit it to often, you need to leave plenty of room for the star of the show, the meats. All the cuts were served tasted wonderful. If you like meat this is the place for you.

I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time, so when I had a Groupon available, I was on it! They advertise all of these different kinds of meat, but we got the same sirloin cuts several times, of course the chicken and pork sausage were readily available all the time, but we had to ask to get filet and never saw rib eye... You would get a small 2-3” strip of meat then wait for 10 minutes for another strip. The staff was amazing though!

All-you-can-eat salad buffet bar and grilled meats! and pretty good view of Puguet sound...and my personal favorite, grilled pineapple which was very worth waiting for.....

OMG! We wanted to go to someplace new to celebrate our son's birthday. His girlfriend found Ipanema and we are sure glad she did. This place really is an experience, not just a meal. We each ordered the Rodizio, which at $55 per person was out of our normal comfort zone; however, it was so worth it! It includes unlimited amounts of 19 types of beef, lamb, fish, shrimp, chicken, and pork that is served by Brazilian men with giant skewers. Each guest is given a pair of tongs. As the server cuts the pieces for you, you grasp the top of the piece and hold it with your tongs until the server has finished cutting it. What an idea! There is a coaster on each table. When you want the server to stop at your table with more meat, you display the green side and when you need a break, you flip the coaster to the red side. Genius! The Rodizio also comes with unlimited salad bar which included things beyond salad, such as fruit, breads, soup, potatoes, and veggies. Most of our party had the black beer to drink which was also very good. All of the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Try it, you'll love it!

Went here expecting the traditional Brazilian steakhouse, and it was with the one set price, get over 15 choices of meats served table side and a cold buffet. However, the rest failed! You would think a restaurant with windows facing Puget Sound would have a great atmosphere, but no; and service was not the best nor was the cleanliness. Most of the staff didn't seem to want to be there, in fact when we asked one guy "How long have you worked here?" his answer was "TOO LONG!" The tables are just plain black and the staff never wiped the table after drippings fell on it time after time (two other Brazilian restaurants I've been to had white table cloths and no problem with drippings). The buffet looked like it was dredged thru and not cared for, and the general atmosphere was mediocre at best, Especially for $50.00 per person plus drinks! If you want a good experience, I recommend trying another Brazilian restaurant...any other.

So, we love Brazilian steakhouses, and we know they are typically pricy. But this one used to be so much better. We used to go here a lot in the past, but it just hasn't been the same. The place feels claustrophobic as they crammed way too many tables. Going to the salad bar or the restrooms feels like solving a maze among the tables. It just doesn't have the atmosphere to support the price. If you are going there with a large group, try to get the table in the alcove on the far right. It's the best table in the restaurant. It is a repurposed heavy door and the woodworking is great. It also feels quite private. You can sit up to 8 people there I believe. If that's not an option, try to get a booth. There are only 3 or 4 available. The food is what you'd expect from a Brazilian steakhouse. A decent selection of meats. Salad bar was also satisfactory, but they really didn't refill the salads fast enough. Overall, decent food, but way overpriced for what it is. Novilhos is a much better place to go if you're in the mood for Brazilian.

We went for lunch on a Sunday using a coupon. The salad bar offered a variety of choices, including cold salads, fruit and hot side dishes such as rice, potatoes and soup. Waiters come around with meat on skewers and you can take as much as you can eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would only go there with a coupon as it is fairly pricey.

The food is excellent and lots of it. A terrific salad bar. Do not over fill here!. A unique dining experience. Enjoy the various meats and fish they bring to your table.. We also tried the bar set up and the food was good. Only thing I should have asked for was my meat to be more cooked.

Very disappointing experience. Expensive and very underwhelming. Salmon and prawns massively overcooked inedible. The rest of the meat was not pleasant. the most expensive cut of meat was only brought out once! My suggestion would be that you actually employ people that can cook meat properly. The restaurant has no atmosphere and is overlooking waste ground. Really wouldn’t waste your money going here

I went here with my 12 year old son when we were on a bit of a road trip. We had not really eaten all day, so I wanted to get a good feed this night and I wasn't disappointed. We had a great feed and it was my son's first time at a Churascurria - he loved the "all you can eat meet" with the green/red token to order more. The only thing I'd say was that it was probably a bit expensive for a 12 year old - he cost the same as me.

great food, buffet stile all you can eat and to your table meat rounds 30 for lunch50 for dinner per person. worth it for people with good appetite.

Went without a reservation, hostess seated us at a tiny table despite many other tables free. Had a Groupon worth $60, still paid $77 not including tip ( we had a glass of wine, a cocktail, no dessert). Rodizio dinner os $52 pp. Were there for an hour, only various cuts of mostly tough beef eat were served. Salad bar was OK. Too expensive for what was offered. Overall disappointing!

My wife and I try to get here whenever we are near Belltown, if for no other reason, then it is my favorite drink menu in Belltown. The staff is great (particularly Alberto at the bar, who is true delight), the food is terrific, but the drinks (especially if you love cachaca) are what brings us back over and over.

Close to Pike Place Very good 18 kinds of meat and chicken all you can eat, they serve you. The all you can eat salad bar was just ok. Have had much better salad bars elsewhere. Got out of there 130$ USD Once in awhile treat yourself.

The Grill From Ipanema is a very nice restaurant with reasonable prices the Meat selection is big and taste is good. the staff were very nice. only problem was that is some places in the restaurant the AC is low so it can be a little bit hot.

Food excellent! Waiter unfortunately not so. Might think about charge 20% on service from the beginning then the waiter would have to do something towards that!! He only came to our table once at the beginning and at the end to cash in. Although we had been in the restaurant for ~2hrs and would have liked some more to drink. Unfortunately this ruined our stay a lil! Nevertheless food was excellent as was the rest of the staff.

I've eaten here several times and I am always impressed by the food (read: meat, meat, meat) service, quality of beverages, and their awesome salad bar. Go early and go hungry, you will not be disappointed.

Good food, but not amazing. Service okay, but in the 5 or so times I've been here it's never been great. Used Groupon, still quite spendy. Unless you get lucky, it'll cost more than $10 just to park. Tonight A/C was not working and it was MISERABLY hot in there, one fan in entire place that I could see. With sun setting and all those windows it was horrendous. Hostess barely smiled, seemed pretty checked-out. We dropped a LOT of money. Sad.

Having eaten at many such Brazilian style barbecues we headed for this restaurant having read all the reviews. It surpassed our expectations. The salad bar may not be the largest we have ever seen but it was still very adequate and well stocked. When we moved on to the meat course the choice was probably the largest we have ever had with the quality right up there with the best. Provolone stuffed beef, Parmesan Pork and Cinnamon Pineapple were amongst the family favourites. The kids were well entertained and were converted to a Brazilian soft drink which they loved. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great

The restaurant itself is large and roomy and has big windows looking out towards the water. Right now there is demolition equipment right below the windows but that is soon to be gone since the road it is sitting on is to be demolished in just a few months. There is a pretty comprehensive salad bar as you walk in and you could make a meal from all by itself. In fact it is possible to just have the salad bar alone and it has its own separate price if you do not want the sliced meat. The prime reason we went is to get the sliced meat (beef, pork, sausages, and chicken) brought to the table on kabobs by waiters periodically. On weekends the menu for meats is different for lunch than in the evening meals. I understand that for evening meals they have more exotic meats besides the beef and pork such as ostrich, snake? , alligator?, etc. The waiter brings a red colored and green colored deckle for signaling the kabob waiters if you want the another slice of meat from the next kabob (green for yes, red for no). If the red side is visible then the waiter will walk right on by so you won't be bothered if you don't want them to. Don't worry they will keep coming by with meat as long as you want and you can go back to the salad bar again if you want. I have to say that they have an extensive drinks menu also both with alcohol and without. I had the Brazilian Black beer which is very smooth and had a very pleasing taste, but there were easily a dozen other beers to choose from. I can not comment on the other drinks available but there was wine, and other mixed drinks on the menu. Dessert was available but it was extra priced but I did not have room for it. There were 3 other adults and I, we had full meals with drinks (2 rounds each) and the bill was a little over $200 which is for me an expensive lunch but I think it was worth it since my family don't have meals together very often. We were there for a bit over 2 hours and were never pressured to speed up our meal, in fact the original waiter encouraged us to take breaks if we needed to between Kabobs. Overall I enjoyed the meal and the experience. If it had not been for the miserable part of driving in downtown Seattle; my wife and I would go back to this restaurant more often or even try the exotic meats for an evening meal. If you happen to be staying in a hotel in Seattle, give this place a try but be sure to come hungery

We had been traveling for a little over 2 weeks and the family had a craving for Brazilian food (wife is Brazilian and we love meat). On our last night this was voted as the choice. I had very low expectations - they were fulfilled. Salad bar ok, no actual green salad which is strange for this style of restaurant. Feijoada was not that great, meats were plentiful and not all that good. The beef ribs were dry - that is hard to do Brazilian style! Had to ask 3x for the meat servers to bring Picanha, they would walk around the tables - have had much better service elsewhere - very inattentive. When finally they got around to serving the Picanha - they dropped a little blood on my wife's wrap - the waiter called to another staff member to cover this up so she wouldn't see it - in Portuguese - my wife busted him on that one. They did not offer to clean or any other compensation. More than anything else this soured our experience Drink selection was very good - we enjoyed the Beleza - a caipirinha with basil - very well done. Did not drink wine but the selection looked adequate. We should have eaten seafood.

Huge portions half price off menu. More so than other HH. CHEESY bread was to die for..and the steak. Only downside was way too much garlic..it was on everything we ordered. So much so..you taste it for day...hey guys..it doesnt Have to be on Every item..drinks were great..could use more Of a beer selection.

Absolutely amazing. My husband and I loved everything. The service was great, and the meats were fabulous. There are so many options. There is also a salad bar with many options. I highly recommend this place. We will go again!

The food just kept on coming. Numerous steaks of many different types, spiced in different ways, all juicy and tender. Decore is modern and attractive. The service excellent. One warning: a website not run by the restaurant had the wrong price. The actual price we paid was $54.00

A very good restaurant, authentic Brazilian food. Clean, courtiers staff with good knowledge of what they are serving. Been here couple of times now. 1. Good salad 2. Good cold meats 3. Food excellent 4. Awesome grill service 5. Great flavor meat 6. Good spits 7. Nice ambience

This was our second time dining at The Grill. We arrived on time for our reservation (highly recommend you make one) and were seated immediately. Waiter took our drink orders and told us to dish up from the salad bar. I try not to take much at the salad bar, because I want to pig out on the meats, but oh man, the salads and other choices are so tempting, not to mention, delicious! Once you are ready, you turn your card to 'green' and off you go. The variety and abundance of meat choices will satisfy the biggest carnivore in your group. We always leave stuffed and content. We had a great bottle of pinot from Oregon. At $40 a bottle, a wonderful bargain. Look for the Groupon to make this expensive night out a little easier on the wallet. I highly recommend this restaurant. Both times here have been 5 star experiences.

But I suppose you don't come here for the salad bar. All the Meats were delicious. Only criticism is that they came out with some other stuff after some came out twice.

I'll assume that everyone knows how Brazilian steakhouses work, and won't review that part. My date and I had a great experience here. The waitstaff were friendly, making recommendations and telling jokes throughout our visit. By the time we were done we felt like regulars despite this being our first visit. The meat was excellent and there was good variety. When one particular dish (the shrimp) didn't make it to our table, we asked about it. Within a few minutes, a server had two large skewers of shrimp for us to choose from. We liberally used the red/green card and paced ourselves. The entire meal was almost two hours. Highly recommended and I will be back.

I had heard "rumors" about Brazilian food, so I was interested in trying the Grill from Ipanema. While we weren't sure what to expect, we decided to go for lunch and were pleasantly surprised from the start. The salad bar was amazing. I'm not usually one who could make a meal on a salad bar, but with this salad bar you certainly could make it your whole meal. So pace yourself, or you won't have room for the meat. Among our favorite dishes were the corn chowder, fried bananas, cheese bread (in little bite sizes and gluten free) and the grilled pineapple with cinnamon. Our server was not as attentive as we would have liked, and we had to ask several times to get some things that we had requested. But otherwise it was a very pleasant experience, with good, flavorful food. This restaurant is on the "spendy" side, but I imagine we will be back to try the dinner sometime.

I rarely rate restaurants poor, but I was forced to with this place. Even though we have never been to The Grill From Ipanema, we have been to a couple of other Brazilian restaurants, and this one wasn't as good as it should or could have been especially for the price. The positive: The salad bar had some nice options and everything was orderly. The negative: There were a lot of repeats of the meat offered, so we didn't see the full selection that they advertise there is. The service started out well but dwindled to almost nonexistent after some time as in 15 to 20 minutes between someone coming to the table to offer us meat. In the bar area where we had to sit due to lack of seating, the temperature of the room was very warm. My family and I would never come back here.

We reserved online after reading other positive reviews. Promptly seated upon arrival. Plenty of drink choices., 17 different meat skewers and grilled Pineapple. Everything we tried was amazing. Well staffed and always had something coming around to try. Had to flip over ready for more card to stop and catch-up a couple times. Our server Lazar made sure we had a perfect night!!

Went here on a Groupon while visiting Seattle. Good food, nice wait staff. No shortage in the variety of food gracing our table. Chef likes black pepper. Nice ambiance. Good for a large crowd, lots of space.

I could describe but it’s really not worth it . Just don’t bother plenty of other places to eat better value and better service . Very expensive salad because that’s about all that was worth eating

The quality of Rodizio dining can vary significantly, with this grill ranking at the top! The salad bar is far above standard selections, and maintained constantly. The gauchos are constantly working the room ensuring your experience is marked with offering ALL their grilled selections a minimum of a couple times during your visit. One of the best Brazilian Rodizio grills!

I love the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience. Maybe I was extra hungry but my memory of the place is happiness. I hope they will consider adding gizzards and chicken hearts. Otherwise the overall dining was great.

OMG! On a business trip with 20 team members on a Thursday night in downtown Seattle. So I have eaten at all the chain Brazilian restaurants. This is local. The different: the meat was the best. 17 different meats. The pork and the rib eye was the best. They did a very good job of feeding us all and kept the meat coming and coming and coming. The salad bar was traditional and quite authentic. The only bad thing was the shrimp was serve red last. Can you blame them????

Great service and good deal for all you can eat steak with a great variety at the salad bar. The lunch has an awesome pricing but dinner is a little bit more expensive. With the purchase of groupon, you get an excellent deal when going there for dinner. I go to this restaurant almost every couple months because they are consistent with both their food and service :)

Tourists from Calgary Alberta (Canada.)Very impressed. Food was great. Ingredient lists at food buffet was very helpful for those with allergies and gluten issues. Servers were very helpful and knowledgeable about food. Great family experience!

Went there with a family of four, we have been to many Brazilian steakhouses before. First the Buffett, empty... except from 10 kinds of veggies and salads , plain rice and beans The meats dry and tasteless The service non existent The bill exorbitant..

1st restaurant we stopped in Seattle, so good we came a second time. We are from the bar menu for times since both times we got there either lunch had finished or dinner hadn't begun. Steak was so tasty and the sausage the next day was great. The relaxed ambiance the restaurant has, well all in all The Grill From Ipanema does not disappoint.

It is all the meat you could want. Many choices & variety of meats. Roasted right there & it just keeps coming. The salad bar rounded out the meal. A bit pricey but worth it every once in a while.

This is a typical Brazilian Steakhouse experience. Great if you are starving or can eat a lot, but pricey if you are going to just eat a normal sized portion. There is an excellent salad bar with many options and of course, the meat. The host will give you a green and red disc. Put it on your table green side up and the roving meat carvers will stop and ask if you'd like whatever cut of meat they are carrying. The meat was not heavily seasoned or marinated

We didn't want to pay the ridiculous price for the buffet so we opted to sit jn the bar area and order from the menu. We ordered 4 appetizers rather than a meal and that was a great decision. We got huge portions, food was excellent as was the service. The drinks were also great. Good good on a budget, just eat at the bar.

We had a very good dinner at the Grill from Impanema. We had several cuts of beef, leg of lamb and Parmesan pork. The pork was a bit dry but everything else was excellent. The salad bar was well stocked with a wide selection of tasty items. Our only complaint was with respect to beverage service. After he took our wine order, it took a long time for the server to return and tell us our choice was out of stock. We ordered a second label and he brought us the wrong wine. Other than that, the service was very good and we felt well attended to.

I am torn by this review. I wanted to write a review only becaise I enjoyed the food and most of the atmosphere and my family LOVES Brazillian steakhouses. BUT we were all caught off guard when a tiny dog of some breed was let in the establishment. Where we are from people eat out and dogs stay home and it honestly soured our whole experience. We are a blended family and overall not dog lovers but we do not hate them either. My daughter has a dog, my wife grew up with a family dog, the house we vacationed at for the week has a family dog, we just don’t experience dogs in restaurants in our community so beware if you visit and are not a fan of pets where you eat.

We had the Rodizio dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the range of meats and more importantly the quality of the buffet of salads that were part of the package. Servers were also excellent and came round repeatedly to offer a selection of meats and grilled pineapple as long as the "green" card was visible. Dessert was not included but I doubt if many customers have the room to imbibe after...a small plate of appies - fried plantain and fried cheese - were brought out at the start as well. Having the owner come around to check with guests at their tables was a very nice touch as well! We will gladly return.

Large variety and choices at salad bar and meats that are passed around generously. I especially loved the rice and the chicken salad. Good service and plenty to eat.

We dined there to celebrate our son’s new home. We were very pleasantly surprised that they allowed us to let our corgi sit under the booth during dinner. Thank you! I don’t eat meat so I made a very substantial and delicious meal out of the many delicious salads at the salad bar. My son and husband enjoyed the huge variety of meats that were brought to the table by the waiters. Our meal exceeded our expectations for our happy celebration. We would definitely go again.

We had such a great time coming here for Valentine's Day. The food and atmosphere were excellent. We loved the live music and laughed our heart out. I try to come here once or twice and year because of the food and excellent service.

I love a good Brazilian Steak House and this place delivered! the grilled pineapple was amazing! The salad bar had a fantastic spread with great fruits and salads!

We had a great time at The Grill From Ipanema. I had read reviews, so we were careful not to fill up on the salad bar. Still we would like to have had some extra room to put a few more bites of steak! The salad bar was very good. I don't know what all the stuff was that was on the salad bar, but it was all pretty good. We just ate a little salad so we could eat more steak. The service was great, no complaints. Once we flipped our card over to indicate we were finished with salad, the meat started to arrive. There are young men walking around with skewers with different kinds of meat. They ask you if you want any of what they are serving, and if so, slice off a thin layer or two onto your plate, then move on to the next table. They have 17 different kinds of meat, most of which are beef. We started with Sirloin, then moved on to Rib Eye, then Filet Minon, Cheese Steak, Garlic Steak, and Pepper Steak. The guys came around with a couple of Turkey options which we passed on, and there was some sausages which we passed on as well. We waited for the Rib Eye to come around again, had some more of that, then asked our waitress to have them bring us some more Filet Minon. Within 5 minutes, the Filet showed up, and we had some more of that! At that point we were just to stuffed to eat another bite. While we were eating, they did bring us some Cheese Bread and something else, but we weren't very interested in anything but steak! Obviously, we didn't try any of the desserts. The dinner is expensive, about $50 per person, then we had a bottle of red wine (another $35), then add tax (another $13), then a tip. It's not something we could afford to do very often, but I'd say it's something everyone should try at least one time. I think our favorites were the Filet Minon, and the Pepper Steak. Don't forget, you can ask for specific types of meat if you find one that you particularly like. I would definitely go back there, but it's something we would only do maybe once a year because of the cost. Figure around $130-$160 for two people. I have seen Groupons for this place, but only for lunch.

NOTE: We chose the Grill from Ipanema based on the assessment of a Brazilian friend who reviewed menus online for rodizios in Seattle -- he said that the Grill was the most "authentic" he saw.* -- The food is good but the staff makes it all an incredible experience. I am personally not an avid meat-eater, but my two companions are and both gave a thumbs-up. And I could *make do* with the "outside" part of the meat -- more medium to well-done, as opposed to the rare slices, preferred by my two friends. We had a caipirinha (a must, if you drink) in the bar first -- great way to start, as the bartender is a terrific guy. The salad bar could keep any vegetarian entertained, but that's not the point of the restaurant, of course. We sampled lamb, chicken, shrimp, pork, bison, and several cuts of beef. Didn't get a taste of the pork chop, alas, but it looked good. We were fortunate to get a window table, and it was interesting to see where we were -- right above the tunnel exit to 99. We were there at mid-summer, so it was still completely daylight at 7PM. But it would be fun to -- OK, I'll admit it -- gorge up on tasty meats mid-winter, too. Great people-watching, as there was a huge variety in age and ethnicity. We'll definitely go back. * One last note: Brazilian friend, mentioned earlier, said the true test of a rodizio is if they have copine, (sorry - not sure of the spelling) which is meat taken from the hump of a Brahma bull. The Grill from Ipanema does not offer that, and we asked why. The waiter said that that is where animals are given shots, and the restaurant would not use that meat. Good enough for us.

Good selection of chilled fruits and vegetables. But the star is the meats. They kept the freshly cooked meats coming fast all evening. Good variety and well prepared.

The experience starts at the entrance, where this girl hangs uninterested in a chair to "welcome" the "guests". She guides you to a table and never asks if you agree with it. Then the waiter had forgotten what drinks we ordered. Speaking of the waiter: it was like he was on some stimulating substance, judging by his hastily moves and panicky eyes. At some point, in the middle of our dinner, he drops the check on the table and after 10 minutes he asks if we want to pay by card. We told him we never asked for the check and find it odd that we are presented with it in the middle of our dinner. He does apologize for all his mishaps, but we can't escape the feeling of being served by Manuel (I am form Barcelona) form Foulty Towers. Anyway, further disappointments were the guys serving the meats at the table. They just don't seem to enjoy their job. Than the saladbar was just not diverse at all, very minimal. We could not find sauces for the meat, like garlic or cocktail or ketchup. Finally, the nastiest surprise was the price of this dinner: 150 bucks for 2, drinks and desserts not included... At the end my wife wanted to pay a visit to the restroom, but sadly declined. It was just too dirty. Speaking of dirty, the floor is sticky all-over, due to the servants who spill meat juices every night. The floor never gets a good mopping, so it seems. So sad, especially after a very pleasant and positive experience we had in a similar restaurant in Hyannis.

Very disappointing, very expensive, terrible food, no atmosphere. You need to find chefs that can cook meat properly!!!!

We went there and ordered steak. It had like 20 hairs on it. When we told the waiter about our issue he blamed my friend who doesnt even have the same hair color as the hair in the steak. The waiter also started to insult us by saying we were being disrespectful. He then gave us a new steak which also had hairs. When receiving the bill, we had to pay for both steaks. Also, they charged us more than what the menu said. On top of that the service was horrible and the waiters were spitting in our faces and food when talking. -10/10 experience, never coming back, and would never recommend this restaurant.

Greeted by the most Amazing Server, Melissa! She made the experience worth every penny and more! Attentive, funny, and even offered and took several photos of our family celebration so we had the memories. Honestly I have never felt so cared for by a server in my 60 years eating out. The drinks were very slow to come out from the bar. The restaurant was busy, but they only had one bartender so order another round as soon as you get your first round if you plan on having more than one drink. The meats were delicious and plentiful. 16 different meats and the grilled pineapple are just mouthwatering. The salad bar is so fresh and delicious! The Groucho’s don’t talk much, but do carve great meat. Definitely worth the visit. And make sure you sit in Melissa’s section! You will leave full, happy and laughing!

Visiting our son out here and decided to check this place out. Its pretty consistent with the one we have in Denver but the price is a but more steep. The meats really are tasty and the salad bar nicely done. If you want dessert, there's an additional cost. Overall, a good choice for a night out if you have the money.

This a fantastic place to go esp if you are really hungry! They have servers walking around with 18 different kinds of meat! The salad bar has at least 30 things including salmon! I am Gluten free and this place is for me! I could have 14 of the 18 meats and probably 85% of the salad bar including gluten free soup! A special shout out to Connor and Patrick! They could write a book on excellent customer service! The manager was fantastic and I will probably spell his name wrong but I think it was Ricado ( sorry ) > He came to our table and personally took me over to the salad bar and showed me the Gluten free items! Thank You!!!

What can you say; excellent service, great meat choices (that are cooked properly) and a wide selection from the salad bar. Ate until i could eat no more, and left with a full stomach. All the win!!!

The primary reason to try this restaurant was hearing about the 20+ types of meat, poultry and shrimp served at one's table, hoping it might have been similar to a couple of steak houses we dined at in Buenos Aires, After being seated, our waiter explained how each item would be brought around to your table. A small circular sign with red on one side and green on the other indicating if you were interested in more items to try or not would tell the server if they should stop at your table. They offer a salad bar with numerous items along with mashed potatoes and a steamed vegetable. The waiter suggested having the salad bar first then moving on to the main course(s). Each time a new selection was presented, one could choose to have a small piece/portion of the item, probably less than an ounce in size if that. Unlike a typical restaurant where your complete meal is served at once, we found that we had to eat the vegetables and potatoes while still warm, and have the meat items by themselves when they were presented. We found the place unique but not one we would return to as we enjoy having a complete meal served warm. Very expensive for what you get. Our bill for the two of us came to $129.92 which was $55 each for the Rodizio dinner and $4 each for ice tea.

My husband and I dined here recently for the first time and we loved it! The food, service, ambiance....all wonderful. As we'd never dined in this type of restaurant before, we appreciated the instructions we received from our waiter on using the red/green coaster to indicate stop or go. This tells the servers to either keep bringing skewers of meat or to stop. The first dish that came was garlic shrimp, cooked to perfection. I don't think we tried all 17 meats, but we had at least a dozen. All were seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. On the table were small bread balls stuffed with melted cheese and fried bananas coated with sugar and cinnamon. Be sure to save room for the salad bar, which is massive and offers both hot and cold dishes including rice, soup, and both grilled and steamed veggies. There's also a meat platter and a cheese plate as well as, all kinds of fresh fruit. Go hungry and relish every bite!

Just an OK Churrascaria. Meat selection was good, but nothing blew me away. Also the salad/appetizer bar was pretty small compared to most I've been to. Not sure of it being a Tuesday night played a part in the mediocrity?

I was not sure what to expect from the name nor have I ever been to a Brazilian Restaurant before. My best friend took me to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday and we were not disappointed. They have a variety of food choices at the buffet which were all yummy, to say the least. When you went back to your table a server came to share one of a varieties of meats which they cut directly from the slab, as much as you wanted. You could choose when you wanted more by a simple flip of a red card over to the green (go) side. I couldn't eat any more wonderful meats (which I must have had at least 7 different types) but then the server came by with roasted pineapple. Oh my, what a treat. You need to try this restaurant to believe it!

We love Brazilian Steak houses and this one did not disappoint. The salad bar was fresh and had lots of delicious salads and fruit to choose from. The meat. We tried everything, lamb, bacon wrapped turkey, sausage, tri-tip steak, fillet, pork ribs, beef ribs, garlic steak (my favourite) Parmesan crusted pork, Prime Rib and I'm sure I forgot something! It was all tender and full of flavour! They have a delicious chimichurri sauce for the meat but it really didn't "need" anything. I asked our waiter to suggest a cocktail and he brought me something full of limes that made my taste buds sing! I'm sorry I could pronounce the name of it, so I can't tell you what it was! We purchased a Groupon for our visit and we will be back on our next trip to Seattle!

Food is great and I loved the way that the waiters came in all the time, with new variations. there is all kind of meat, from sausages to the best beef. The meat has very high quality and was very tasteful.

Happened upon this place after the pub across the street was packed for a college game. Saturday night and we were seated right away but not because it was quiet. They have a lot seating and service is very quick since you go through the salad bar and they continuously stop by with various grilled meats to chose from. We had peppered steak, garlic steak, tritip, shrimp, pork chop, bacon wrapped filet, and we passed on the lamb because of personal preference. It is all you can eat and so we just had a very small piece of each meat so we could try it all. Salad bar had a lot of choices and the rice and beans were fantastic!

The salad side bar was amazing and the 19 different types of meat were incredible. Staff is amazing, they were bringing meats faster than we could eat them and there were 45 of us

We wanted to have a steak and salad and went in into this restaurant. Inside it turned out to be that the restaurant generally offers Rodizio only. Since we were not that hungry we left again, but the chef offered us to serve us the food from the bar menu, which was exactly what we wanted. The steak was very tasteful and so were the burgers. The cider and the Brazilian beer and soda also tasted very well. Finally the service was great. All in all a perfect dinner.

Came here on a Wednesday night during the holiday month. Place was surprisingly quiet. Sat us down right way. Lots of meat starting rolling. Had ham and sausage and some meat cut, gobble down with the delicious salad from the bar. More meat cut arrived. WOW, can't keep up. Then the BBQ pineapple. Deeliciousss. Hint: start slow on the meat, then go for the gusto. Good times!

Come hungry. They have a huge salad bar and the strolling waiters have maybe 20 skewers of meats and sausages, all ranging from good to very good. And you can eat without feeling like the staff is eyeballing you. Maybe that is why you see some pretty big folks here (not a majority by any means). Check for Groupons and save.

Very good Brazilian steakhouse and not a shortage of delicious meats brought to the table. Good salad bar, with the usual fruits and vegetables being offered. Most of what I had, I liked. Probably the only complaint that I had was that most of the steak offered was on the rare side. If you do like it rare, this would not be a problem. I thought the service was very good, very attentive.

Decided to try out a Brazilian style steakhouse. This was a first time for 6 of 7 people. We enjoyed it very much. The "gauchos" are super friendly. The waiters are very attentive. The meat is delicious! Really enjoyed the turkey wrapped in bacon and the chicken. The fillet mingon was melt in your mouth kind of meat. I would definitely have more of their sirloin and pepper steak, and pass on the beef rib. The atmosphere is fantastic. Nice and quiet and there was live music on Friday. We are definitely going again at some point. There is paid parking right across the street, so even parking in busy Belltown is easy.

We booked in advanced and arrived at around 6 to beat the crowds. The salad bar was extensive and very tasty. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. The selection of superbly roasted, mouth watering, skewered meats was a carnivore's delight.

They have plenty of room to accommodate large groups of people. The selection of meat is fantastic, love the salad bar. My favorite was the caipirina and coconut flan.

The service was great. The desserts were not worth saving room for but the food was top of the line. The prices were premium. Groupon is a must.

After reading numerous positive reviews for this restaurant I had high expectations. While the experience wasn't bad, it definitely wasn't the experience I had hoped for. First,I will enumerate the positives. We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly and attentive. The decor and atmosphere were reasonably good. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. The salad bar offered an okay number of options but nothing exceptional. My biggest disappointment was the beef. It was tough and ligamentous to the point where I had to spit some of it out.I tied several different cuts and all were tough. Additionally, some cuts were so salty, they were difficult to eat. Overall, this was about the worst beef I've ever had in a restaurant. It was definitely the worst I've ever had at that price. Perhaps the pork and sausage were better, but I didn't try them as I went there specifically to enjoy the beef.

I cannot get enough of this restaurant and visit multiple times a year. The service is amazing and the owner is charming. My favorite part of the rodizio is the grilled pineapple with cinnamon. When I was leaving after my first visit to the restaurant, the owner asked us how everything was. I replied the service and food were all amazing, but I didn't see the pineapple come around. He asked me to wait a moment and brought me a plate of grilled pineapple within 30 seconds! I enjoyed every bite and have since never left without having some pineapple. The meats are grilled perfectly and the flavors are bold and succulent. Make sure you don't fill up on the salad buffet. It is also very delicious and can be completely filling and enjoyable for any vegetarians you bring along.

Well, inspired by some relatively good reviews on TA and looking for some good meat and fries, we entered Ipanema without a reservation. Luckily there were a few tables free. Within seconds, the (very salty) meat was put on our table and we could start eating. No menu, no explanation and most importantly no price mentioned. Turned out to be “all you can eat” for 55 dollars excluding taxes and forced gratuity. After protesting, an unpleasant conversation with the manager and af few bites, we left with a “bargained” bill of 194 dollars for four persons. We were just asked to “pay” 35 dollars for the salad bar us drinks, taxes and gratuity. Did we just gain 100 dollars or did we loose them? Not sure but in any case: be ware of the Brazilian tourist trap...! We were grilled at Ipanema... a Seattle unworthy experience...!

On a recent trip to Seattle with a friend, we decided to stop in here for lunch. Its cheaper than their dinner prices if you want the same experience on a budget. The meat was very good. Generous is the only way to describe the portions you might allow yourself. There was also a large variety from the grill as well as the salad bar. My only complaint is that I've had much better salad bar fare from other Brazilian Restaurants. They provided a nice experience, but I think I would try another location in Seattle before coming here again.

I love Ipanema for it's food and for the experience you get here. It is very happening, the service is super friendly, they really do make you feel at home. Although there is a salad bar with great vegetarian options, you come here for the MEAT. So be ready to indulge and come hungry! The grilled meat selection is superb, you won't be able to resist any of it. They even have a grilled pineapple! It is a bit pricey for an average person, but the price is worth it for a special occasion. It's impossible to leave this place hungry! Try the traditional Brazilian cocktail made from cane sugar liquor, it's very good and gives you a good buzz.

This place was wonderful between the 17 different cuts of meat and seafood products the salad bar was small but the choices were amazing. the best thing is the roasted pineapple was out of this world. i strongly suggest making a reservation as this place fills up quick and they do not rush you at all

Our family enjoyed our dinner experience, and it was one of the highlights of our Seattle trip. Although the price is a bit high ($52 adults/$15 kids), the quality of food and drinks were top-notch. The salad bar had a great variety of fresh, tasty choices to complement the main attraction - the 18 different types of meat that come around on a skewer to your table every few minutes. Our girls (ages 5 and 7) really enjoyed trying all the different types of meat. There was also grilled pineapple (with cinnamon), deep fried banana, rice pudding, and a variety of fresh fruit to top off the dinner. I had one of the best caipirinha's I've ever had, and the service was very attentive to every detail. Highly recommended dinner experience for couples, groups, or families with well behaved kids.

Once a week I go off my vegan diet and get down and carnivorously dirty. I saw the Groupon for this place and thought I would give it a try. The servers come around with 17 choices on skewers and you take what they cut: from ribeye, to filet to sirloin with many, many meat, poultry and sausage choices. Tasty and quality meats are used. The decor is attractive, the serve staff attentive and you can eat here with a vegan. There is a huge salad bar with multiple veggie, seafood and other choices.

For me I really enjoyed the service so that’s saving grace for this place. The food just was not up to what I have come to expect from a Brazilian stake house. The salad bar was not even close to other places I’ve been, Texas De Brazil and Flame both in the OKC area. This is not to say the food is not good because it is, it’s just not nearly as good as the other places I’ve been.

First of all, we loved the Service! The gauchos (servers) were friendly, fun and (for the most part) Brazilian. The meats were very, very good which is at the center of the Rodizio experience. The only thing that was not quite up to par, was the Mesa de Frios (cold table) that was missing a number of Brazilian dishes we would normally expect, like Salpicão (chicken & potato salad). We've also had much better Pão de Queijo (cheese bread). But everything else was very good - including one of my personal favorites, Feijoada (pork & black bean stew over rice). And the Caipirinha I had was delicious. So, on balance, it was a wonderful experience and we will probably go back there the next time we visit Seattle.

Have always liked Brazilian food - both the idea of getting to taste multiple types of yummy steaks / meats and the fun of flipping your card back and forth to say if you want more meat or you are done. But this place was a miss for us. The meat was way too salty (unfortunately on almost all skewers). Also the meat was unusually rare on the inside portion!! Red, Red, Red, all the way; even for someone who likes their steak on the rare side. Salad bar was also very minimal and some of the vegetables did not seem as fresh. Overall, for the price we paid, this place did not meet our expectation.

Ribs, Bacon-wrapped Sirloin, Sausages... you name it! And who could say no to the sweet, mouth-watering, grilled pineapple? Complete with all you can eat meat (cooked to perfection), a full salad bar (with amazing options there as well), and fun gauchos (the waiters). Just flip your "coin" from green to red if you need a break... or flip to green to keep it coming!
Rough start that lead to a great meal
When we first arrived it was a bit unclear how everything all worked and it took a bit of time for our server to get to us,but after that, it was smooth sailing. The salad bar had LOTS of options and the meats were AMAZING. The servers with the meats were polite, often offering more than one piece of something, especially if it was something we had me tioned liking before. I even asked about the pepper steak (my favorite) and they brought one out and to me first for my "special request". Overall GREAT experience that left me full and satisfied. Check out Groupon before you go!
