Love the beef as sandwich on pita or plate. Don't waste your time on chicken. French fries are excellent. Falafel are good but lost all credibility when I say them pull out a big bag from the freezer to dump in the fryer.

Visited the place on the evening of Saturday 9th December 2017. I was really looking forward to trying this place out as every city we have travelled to here in the States seems to have this fast food place but I've not tried it out. The place inside seems fine but I was really disappointed with my Combo sandwich ... It was cold and tasteless. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Halal guys is over hyped up.

What a surprise to find it here! More options than the original one in NYC and good as well ! Combo platter is always our choice

There was a lot of hype for this place, especially when it first opened up. A lot of people told me they loved it. I decided to order a combo plate that had chicken and gyro, along with the famed white sauce and spicy sauce. After careful consideration of price and taste and value, I felt like the price wasn't worth it. It was a good amount of food, nevertheless, I felt $12 for just the food with no drink, wasn't a good deal. The chicken was basic, but the gyro is actually pretty good. The spicy sauce wasn't good, because it wouldn't allow you to feel the flavor of the food. Unfortunately, the hype wasn't all up there but if I ever decided to come again, I'd probably just stick to the white sauce and gyro plates.

The food was good and pretty cheap as the plate was 10 dollars and the gyro 8. The beef was very good and would definitely recommend as it is a tasty dish. However the red sauce is very hot so beware

The quality of meat was really good. It would have been better if I was warned in advanced that the hot sauce gets REALLY spicy. It's the type of spicy that gets annoying to the point that I stopped eating my food. Overall, it was good. Meat was really tender and service was fast. Plus this location is right next to Brass Monkey. It's perfect spot to sober up after a night out of drinking with friends.

If you're after a quick bite this is the place for you! Food is great, service is great and the place is clean. Love Halal Guys!

Despite it being crowded in a busy area they can move the line pretty quick. The food is great , the hot sauce is absolutely sensational. I wish I could get a large platter container full of nothing but the hot sauce.

I wanted to find a place in walking distance from the hotel. They put the hot sauce on the side (it’s really HOT and I’m from Texas) the white sauce was great, everything was amazing. I wish I could take this place home.

This is the closest location to LA Downtown ( a new one is still not operational on 7th and Grand). Great late night eat but the hot sauce has to be used with caution.. It will burn your insides! Combo plate is my choice!

For all muslims whom are looking for Halal food, this restaurant serve couple of meals and sandwiches with indoor seatings. Price are very good and staff too helpful

Halal guys restaurant very nice and good services.. I like there rice with chicken and spicy little bit. You can get your food quick

Still the same great food found in NYC at a cart (and later a restaurant), this franchise location hit the right notes with its limited but quality menu. Gyros, platters and the like, budget friendly pricing and the mysterious white and red sauces make an appearance in this vaguely industrial space with seating for about 60. We didn't miss that long line at the NYC food cart (often 20 or more) and enjoyed. Quibble: offer sour cream or mayo for those who don't want the traditional sauces. On street metered parking; less than a mile from Beverly Hills.

I tried this place today, heard a lot about it all over the town, and this was my first time. I had the combo sandwich (chicken and gyro), it was not bad at all, the portion was more than enough (couldn't finish it), and had some fries with it which was fresh. All to all, good value for money

Fast. Fast. Fast. and delicious. The Halal Guys. A massive serving of amazing spit-fired meats over rice...but the true stars are the sauces. White (pumped up mayo type of delicious), BBQ (sweet Memphis style yummy) and hot (super hot-careful!)...I always get a combo plate with liberal helpings of white and BBQ sauces. Scoop it all together on their delicious pita and you will savour every bite!!

Great for a quick meal. Excellent service, quick preparation of food and filling portion sizes. Watch out for the chilli sauce though....very very hot, even for an Indian...

I visited for my first time tonight and i was very pleased. Reasonably priced, i only spent $8 on my gyro sandwich(half chicken, half beef). Fast service and the cashier explained the menu kindly. The gyro was my definition of perfect, except that the white sauce isn't quite yogurt. But it did taste good and they said it was dairy free, which some may like. I want to come back and try the falafel.

While traveling to the area on business, I stopped by The Halal Guys for lunch. Service was friendly and fast. I had the beef and chicken gyro sandwich with everything, plus a side of falafels. It all tasted great, was more than enough food, and came in under $12. Very satisfied.

Good. Liked the place. Serves good gyros. Being a muslim, I earnestly hope its Halal Its open till 4 so anyone carving for food can get it delivered to their place through Uber

We had Halal guys in our list for New York. We didn't know that they had a branch in Los Angeles as well. Food was good with limited menu. It is true Arabic food.

I want to start off first by saying the food here is sooooooo good. Now to order the food via phone or Uber eats etc is a problem. If u want to call them u get all types of voice mails and press this and that. The service is ok but be careful when you get your food in those aluminum pans. They are not always closed properly. Lastly when you go there to order food. The parking is hard to find. I would eat here more if it wasn’t so dramatic to get food.

It is very delicious food and has very simple menu ... Try the chicken or the beef ... With rice ...with either red or white souses The rice is awesome and very tasty At night you will see a lot of drunk people as it is close to clubs ... There is different branches around LA ... Cheap and healthy food ....

Ordered for delivery one night after a long 14 hour flight and was looking forward to the meal. We ordered the chicken platter and also the combo chicken and falafel platter. Food arrived after about an hour - stone cold, and chicken was MISSING from both platters.. sides were also added that we specifically requested not to have in the platter. Receipt was in the bag with the order, so not sure how they could have gotten it so wrong. Absolutely terrible, don’t bother ordering from this place

Having never tried the new york outposts, i was told that this was one did not compare. We came around 11, and got the chicken plate. The flavors overall were good, however our rice was cold which was obviously not how its meant to be served. When we asked the waitress if they had chilli, she told us they didnt which shocked us when she afterwards gave the customers after us a few packets of chilli without asking. When being confronted, she pretended that the dish doesnt come with chilli which was clearly a lie. Did not understand her behaviour which completely soured our experience.

Generous portion of chicken/beef platter. Enough for 1.5 person. Delicious food and staff was really friendly and nice.

Went here for lunch the other day with a group of people. I had the platter (chicken and beef). Being my first time I asked for the sauces on the side. (garlic (white), spicy (red)). Next time i go i will let them put the sauce on because both were good. You order the red by stripes and unless you are hardcore only start with one stripe. This stuff is dynamite but tasty. Looking forward to second visit

Its a good restuarant for halal eaters the plater quantity is enough for 2 persons so check first then order

The food was amazing, I ordered the chicken and gyro platter, which was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the gyro meat was flavorful and tender. The rice was fluffy and well-seasoned, and the sauce was the perfect complement to the dish.

I've had THG at their first location in California in Costa Mesa...thankfully, I went during dinner to grab takeout and there was hardly a line. Most of the hype is gone thankfully. The food was what I expected, decent chops and what not at a fair price just at $10 for a full plate. Is this mindblowing? No way, but a great spot to grab a meal if you're in the area. This location works well because I got off the bus and was able to transfer to the Metro Purple line after I picked up my food.

$ Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 (easy to find) Cleanliness: 5 Selection: 5 I had the small combo platter, with two strips of the red sauce - Whoaaa was it hot! I remember the first time I had it in NYC (better in NYC) The rice was softer, the rice here was a little hard and i'm a big rice eater! It's still delicious, my hubby got 4 stripes of red sauce and I knew he was hurting, but didn’t admit it, lol. I’ll be back when I’m in town.

Went here because of the super enthusiasm of my friends. It is always crowded but somehow I managed to get lucky and only wait like 15 minutes. I ordered a platter. The taste is good but man, it is greasy. Wow, everything is so oily. There is so much oil that I can run my car with it. Price is decent, portions are good. They messed up my order but that was ok. I saw how tired the employees were. Really, two of them were really passing out so I just let it go. Overall, ok food but no need to wait for so long. Just go when there is less people. Plus, there are other places to eat around Wilshire.

By now a lot has been said about the Halal Guys. I actually got to taste the original in New York and it was well worth the downpour we got stuck in. Now the LA version is a bit different. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, the line moves at a good pace, and the famous white sauce is still there. But there's just something about the New York version that's "tastier". I can't quite but my finger on it, is it because the New York version is on a food cart and somehow it's prepared differently? The chicken and gyro is just tastier in New York whereas the LA version is simply "good". Not the good that will make you go out of your way to get it, but good in that way where you're satisfied but your mind isn't blown like the way it is in New York.

Reached Los Angeles very late at night and search for some halal food place and surprised to find Halal Guys there. Same unique taste and open till late at night :)

Blessing to have a halal place to eat in this area. Well maintained restaurant with very professional and courteous staff. Food was nice as we tried chicken and lamb gyro with rice, one specialty was there sauces which are quite different. Kids really enjoyed the freshly prepared chips. Location is quite ideal with a parking lot at the back of the restaurant. Highly recommended for halal food in LA.

We enjoyed eating here. Close to the hotel so nice for in room dining. We would go back again and wished there was one in Arizona

Had the platter with lettuce, rice, and two meats. The sauces add a punch to the meal, and it's reasonable priced. Let me warn you the hot sauce is hootttt!!!!

We arrived here very hungry and step in since the restaurant looked very inviting. We ordered for some rice and 3 types of different dishes (non-veg). Whatever displayed looked very tempting was the taste wasn’t that tasty as it looked. Otherwise the staff were friendly and service was quick. We stayed just few blocks away from the place but stayed away as our first visit was disappointing

The place was around the corner from our hotel, went in for dinner but food wasn’t as good as it looked. The rice was hard and oily so was everything that we ordered..oily. Otherwise Service was quick and staffs were very nice. We didn’t go again

Fast. Simple. Delicious. There's a place you must try if Mediterranean/Middle Eastern flavors make you happy. Halal Guys. A massive serving of amazing spit fired meats over rice...but the true stars are the sauces. White (pumped up mayo type of delicious), BBQ (sweet Memphis style yummy) and hot (super hot-careful!)...I always get a combo plate with liberal helpings of white and BBQ sauces. Scoop it all together on their delicious pita and you will savor every bite!!
