Good Food, the rest NOT so great

By 06241959 |

Food was excellent. Both of us are vegetarians and there were a lot of choices. Even a vegan dessert. Both our salads were excellent. Nice size. Not overly dressed. Excellent flavor. Wife had a glass of wine. Pretty small pour. Bad.. Hostess did not seem to care much about her job. Took my name, took us to the table and left the menus. No “Hello” nothing. Waiter was not much better. Indifferent at best. My wife and I are always polite to staff. “Please and thank you” not one “your welcome” “thanks for your business” nothing. Our table was terrible. Next to a door where people were coming and going from a private party. It was like eating in an airport terminal. I would not recommend. This was a one time visit for us. Too many good restaurants in Dallas

Excellent service!

By BostonHunter4 |

The only reason I'm taking the time to write this review is because we had the best server. We surprised the restaurant with a large party of people, and they were very accommodating. We were seated in the patio (again, our fault for surprising the restaurant with a large party) on a hot day, but the staff moved umbrellas and brought us cool drinks to make us more comfortable. They could have acted annoyed- we were a large group with several little kids- but they did the opposite and were kind, friendly and accommodating. Food was good, too, and I loved the cocktails. I would definitely return!

Slow service. Nice vibe.

By Randall D |

The service took awfully long and it didn’t seem as busy. I loved the ambience of the space but the people just wasn’t considerate. Not checking on us or anything. & It took forever just to get water and to order. Nonetheless, the food was pretty good once we got it. Very expensive for small portions though. Lobster bread was my fav.

Menu creativity

By Canada62 |

We had excellent service and the wait staff was very helpful with suggestions from both the cocktail and dinner menu. The cocktails did not disappoint and the Old Fashion was top shelf. The menu offered interesting pairings and the Korean skirt steak was fantastic and the salad with butternut squash was very satisfying and enjoyed all the textures and flavors. Definitely will return.

Love this Place!

By wwfrench |

Great new bar and restaurant downtown with incredible patios up and downstairs ! Fun bar scene with great drinks and delicious food ! I love the atmosphere of this place !! Lots of indoor / outdoor seating! We had the short rib potstickers and they were AMAZING!!! The guacamole was also delicious and the margaritas were top notch!!

St. Henry was nice for a holiday drink

By Nate080411 |

We are big fans of holiday bars and gave St. Henry a try. I would recommend a reservation because they can get busy and they are relatively fancy. They collect a donation for a local charity which is nice. They have an elegantly decorated upstairs bar and rooftop bar for the holiday with fun themed drinks. I would say that they are on the upscale side of holiday bars. Their drinks were good, but I would recommend just the one here if you are looking for a more aggressive holiday bar.

Worth It!

By Precious89 |

I had a pleasant visit to The Henry. I attended a birthday brunch there in October. The brunch was held in a private banquet room with wait staff assigned to the room. The room was enclosed by windows and a balcony guests could access, giving us panoramic views of the Dallas skyline. On to the food. The appetizer I enjoyed the most was the prime rib pot stickers and the hot honey chicken sandwich for the main entree. Both were delicious and filling. Although the restaurant is located in a busy section of uptown, you couldn’t ask for better Instagram worthy photos. I have told others about my experience and plan to dine there again.

Amazing Rooftop Bar

By Sheryl K |

This has become our Sunday Funday location. Love the rooftop bar. Food selection and drinks in the bar are great, and the view is amazing. Even when it's hot out, it's not so hot to be at the bar.

Great place for breakfast/ brunch

By Tara L |

Nice atmosphere. Staff worked really hard to give us a nice experience and were friendly, even with kids in the trendy restaurant. Coffee was delicious as was the food. Get the chocolate croissant, really good. I had a california scramble and thought it was great. Others had more traditional eggs and bacon. We were really pleased with the whole experience, food, Atmosphere and service.

Excellent

Great uptown location with an awesome bar upstairs. Food and service were outstanding. The pretzel fondue, potstickers and short ribs are a must

Great food and atmosphere

We had salmon toast and oats for breakfast. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Good cappuccinos. Very lively atmosphere.

Lunch in Dallas

By Gary |

Must stop for lunch in Dallas! Great service, ambiance, food quality and location. Old Fashioned’s darn good as well. 5 stars!

Beautiful uptown location

By Bink |

Beautiful uptown location with convenient valet parking. Fun happy hour and dinner crowd at the bar - including some nice energetic (and chatty) retirees from one of the high-rises next door. We loved the Parmesan Truffle Fries with garlic and aioli and the the short rib pot-stickers came higly recommend and did not disappoint. Great craft cocktails and nice selection of vino. Great visit!

Great Bar

By Donna G |

We stopped in for early cocktails. Beautiful place. We sat in the bar area, comfortable lounge chairs. Drinks and appetizer (chicken nachos)were good. Service staff was very attentive and friendly. Great place to unwind.

Great Breakfast, But for the Greeter/Reception Person

By CharlieinTexas |

Five star food and mostly five star service. Alas, the greeter/woman at the reception area on Saturday gets a zero for having no customer service orientation, being a poor communicator, and detracting from this excellent restaurant venue’s vibe. Why? We showed up for breakfast, party of 5, perhaps 85+% of the tables open. She told us they were fully booked since we didn’t have a reservation. Stepped outside and made a reservation for 4 of us in 5 minutes on Open Table. Nice fellow just inside, clearly management, was helpful on our return and when we told him we were turned away by the woman behind him as “we are fully booked,” he said it must have been a misunderstanding. No misunderstanding, just gross incompetence and no customer service savvy. Had a fantastic breakfast which was delivered to all of us outside, our seating preference. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, croissants and coffee were all superb. Kaly (I think) and her associate (see photo) were friendly, helpful, and made a great meal better. Fellows that brought out our food were great too, eager to please and well-trained. Great menu. Excellent restaurant venue … 3rd or 4th time here and will be back next time in Dallas.

One of my favorite restaurants

By wwfrench |

One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas! Great atmosphere and great addition to downtown ! They have an upstairs and downstairs with different vibes ! Wonderful indoor / outdoor spaces and serve breakfast , lunch and dinner! Great place to grab dinner before the Mavs or Stars game! Food is delicious and cocktails are excellent !!

Cute venue! Great Girls Lunch Stop!

By texmex2 |

So glad we found this place! Parking was surprisingly easy in nearby lot off Cedar Springs. Nice ambiance! Friendly waitress. Only reason a 4 star As pretty limited menu. Truffle fries outstanding! Great salads. Chicken sandwich was noteworthy too.

Great Brunch

By Kendallasbrazil |

Liv provided us with great service. Food was great and wine list ok Brunch was better than expected Upstairs was much better than downstairs

Great service and great food

By TrevorDierdorff |

My wife and I flew into Dallas and our Uber driver took us to the hotel to drop our luggage and then took us to the Henry. He recommended it because it was new, and had been receiving great reviews. There were probably five people scrambling to get tables bussed to accommodate us quickly. I was really impressed with her attentiveness. Brunch was excellent. I had the chicken fried chicken, and my wife had smashed avocado toast. We will be back!

Nice Vibe

By Shelli M |

We stopped in for late brunch on a Saturday. The place was definitely busy. The menu offers several unique items or variations on traditional items. Three of us dined and had: avocado toast, rotisserie chicken salad, and eggs with bacon. All entrees were tasty. Latte was well made, as well as Bloody Mary. The atmosphere is hip and this is a terrific location. We liked the valet parking, food and service - we will return in the future.

Best meal! Great Ambiance

By TravelBug |

The food was amazing. Great balance of flavours. Something for everyone. Beautiful presentation. Great patio atmosphere for the dinner with fireplace that added a nice ambiance. It was a perfect meal. We had and enjoyed the potstickers, the crispy rice and tuna, and the pretzels for appetizers and I had the scallops with gnocchi dinner. That was the highlight for me. Well balanced flavours.

Wonderful new hot spot

By ronl910 |

Twice in one day

By 842JohnF |

We went here for breakfast and liked it so much we went back for dinner in the evening for a special meal as it was the last day of our Texan holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed my visits. The ambience was great as were the friendly staff and the food I thought was excellent. If I lived in Dallas I would visit regularly.

Highly recommended

By Carter W |

Excellent place to visit for a date night or an intimate dinner with friends. Food is amazing, service is fantastic, and the atmosphere and aesthetics are on point. 10/10 would recommend.

Huge disappointment

By Carole |

Well. What can I say ? Kaitlyn and Molly were SO great at the hostess stand. ... They were the best part of our meal... Really nice setting but the dining area is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. The appetizer of short rib dumpling came out and was just tepid. Very average . The server, I can’t remember his name because he wasn’t memorable.... Suggested we split a salad, since we weren’t that hungry and we were going to get an entrée and a dessert. The house salad was saturated with lemon vinaigrette which to me was super creamy and I thought a vinaigrette was supposed to be transparent if the word creamy was not on the menu....??? It was bagged lettuce which was slightly brown and the croutons were stale.... We ordered the skirt steak, distinctly said medium well as my boyfriend doesn’t like medium rare and of course it came out medium rare and was extremely chewy. It was on a bed of several things which I cannot even describe, so we ordered a side of garlic smashed potatoes which were very good and warm which is nice since most mash potatoes come out cold at restaurants. Everything we ate was such a huge disappointment we didn’t even order dessert. The atmosphere is very cute and the outside is very nice with striped awnings, It’s a shame the food is so average at best I was so hoping for much more. Management really needs to work on all angles of this place we were not impressed. We would never go back.

Great new addition to downtown!!!

By Runtoseetheworld |

What a happy hour this was!!! Go upstairs for a beautiful terrace situated in the shade at this time of day. Plenty of bar seating or comfortable couches. The $6 cocktails are excellent. Our appetites were satisfied after sharing a few of the bar bites- I strongly recommend the wagyu burger and the short rib potstickers. Service was great.

Nice...but...not great

By CliveWatkins |

The reviews-as of this writing are spotty. I don’t know if I agree with very much of them. It is indeed a nice new place, the whole project with all those new restaurants is a nice addition to the area. I think that’s great if y0u live near there. The food was just okay, small portions to me, and not very ‘oh wow" enough for me to go there. The bar upstairs is a good hang, vibrant crowd and a great outdoor open patio. I felt it was a young atmosphere overall, so the reviews I believe will reflect an age skew. It’s food, not fine dining, and a great bar. Service to me was good, I think the prices were a little high for what you get. That whole area will be most likely a young midtown crowd IMO, but it’s worth a try to judge for yourself. The have free valet, but I’d Uber to not drive in that part of downtown in dinner hours.

Stunning new space with food to match

By Anthony |

We had breakfast in this new and impeccably appointed new restaurant. We stumbled on it yesterday and had great lattes & croissants; because they were outstanding we decided to come back the next day for breakfast. Although we wanted to have a sit down breakfast, they don’t start brunch until 10:30. You simply order (UK pub style), get an order number for your table and they bring your food. The smashed avocado toast was very good; would be even better if it was a bit more seasoned (a dash of salt and a squeeze of lemon) and if the bread were crisped up a bit more. Otherwise a very promising dish. The French toast was really nice with apples, whipped cream etc and worth a try if your a fan. The Açaí bowl was really fresh and had a nice amount of fresh strawberries, blueberries & banana. The base came out a bit on the frozen side but not bad at all. Lastly, they make a very credible cappuccino & latte at The Henry which in my view is the anchor of any breakfast. I’ll be back!

Great rooftop Bar

By ronl910 |

The Henry has fantastic food and service. I suggest a reservation as it’s always busy unless you go during the off peak times. We have been several times and tried many menu items. We haven’t been disappointed! The Rooftop Bar is awesome. Now that the weather is cooling off it will be crowded.

Wonderful place for girls brunch!

By 83lovetotravel |

Went ti Henry’s for my birthday celebration with my girl gang and we absolutely loved it. We ordered all vegiterean dishes from the their menu and everything was delicious. The French toast, harvest bowl, cauliflower hummus, warm burrata, avocado toast, Brussels sprouts were all delish. Leave room for dessert as their warm croissant bread pudding is the best. Was not a big fan of key lime tart brûlée and their mimosa and coffee( even though we ordered warm, it was cold by the time it was served). Make reservations ahead of time as this is a super popular place.

Birthday celebration at the Henry

By TDebra |

We had a lovely time at the Henry with my family to celebrate our son's birthday! The atmosphere was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the cocktails. The food and service were fantastic, making the celebration even more special!

Underwhelmed.

By DalTexTraveler |

This place is packed and VERY loud…hard to have a conversation even at a table of 4. Mimosas were good.Quiche was good but nothing about the food made me want to return. Skip the valet and you can park in the garage for free.

A fine business lunch option in Uptown Dallas

By Randy Thompson |

Met a former colleague for lunch at the Henry in mid-March. It's still a relatively new place but they've clearly got all the kinks worked out. The Henry has a varied menu, lot's of great options for all kinds of pallets. I had a variation on a French Dip sandwich, but with turkey instead of beef. It was really great. And the cole slaw I had with it was also really good. My friend had the tuna poke bowl and said it was terrific. Our waiter was friendly, quick with a smile, knew the menu, and showed up right when we needed him to take our order, top off our drinks, etc. In all, a great experience and I will be back. Oh, and they have valet parking, so just pull up, hand over the keys, and off you go.

Great brunch

By kimtI1779ZF |

We went to The Henry for brunch on a Sunday. Was able to get a table in front patio. Great atmosphere and the food was fabulous. I’m sure the other dining time are awesome as well. Loved our meal and will return. The chicken fried chicken brunch item was to die for and literally the best piece of fried chicken breast I have ever tasted. A+ from our family

Exceptional service and fun atmosphere

By Sparky8188 |

The Henry is a great spot to dine with your friends for a weekend brunch. They have rooftop, outdoor and indoor seating. Their menu offers something for everyone. The assistant GM, Les, who was working when we dined was exceptionally friendly and welcoming to our family! He's the type of guy genuinely wants you to have a great experience and it shows. The wait staff was attentive and the food was yummy. Give it a go next time you are looking for a fun spot to dine with friends and family!

Yukky

By Matt Bird |

The Henry restaurant looks nice but that’s where it ends - the food was poor - I left at the end of the evening feeling yukky

Cute place, lacks accommodations

By Lonnie boo |

My cousin and I decided to try this place. It was a nicely designed, cute and very modern. However the prices are so ASTRONOMICALLY overblown. The food was ok, the drinks too, there was no reason for all or more drinks to be $14.00 it's ridiculous. However we sat downstairs for brunch, and went upstairs for drinks. We were greeted by a waitress by the name of Sarah, she was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable but I felt soo sorry for her as well as the other waitress staff. I understand the restaurant wanting to be upscale but STOCKINGS in a Texas Summer😳😟 that's cruel and just inconsiderate. I'm sure you all can come up with a more suitable dress code and not torture these young ladies by making them wear STOCKINGS IN 100° weather OUTSIDE. Please ask your management to reconsider. We were told our ticket would be validated only to get to the parking garage and have to pay to get out. Smh pay for overpriced food, and drinks, PAY to park, and feel bad for ladies in stockings Outside in 100° weather. It was unfortunate to see so many tables sharing food as it's too expensive to enjoy. So you're forced to choose between eating (sharing) or getting 1 drink. Smh Never again!

Excellent brunch

By Doug D |

First time visit - know their sister restaurants from Scottsdale. Split the chicken fried chicken - excellent tender chicken over a biscuit topped with eggs. Large enough to split. Açaí bowel was excellent. Great Bloody Mary cart with infused vodkas (one bacon, one poblano) - both very very good. Service was outstanding from hostess, to server, to cart! Great experience and very nice environment.

Great spot for night out with friends

By Kevin B |

The scallops were fantastic and the warm butter cake was very good. Exquisite espresso martini. Everything else was solid but a bit pricey. Great service and atmosphere though. And easy parking considering location.

Service is awful

By Delmar06 |

I’ve been a few times to The Henry for Happy Hour over the last few months. Each time was fine and the menu is great. We sat upstairs at the bar which has a great terrace. I visited recently in two separate occasions- one for Sunday Brunch and again a Friday night for drinks/apps. Both of these times were AWFUL. Overcrowded, dirty bar and restaurant (bathroom was a disaster on the 2nd floor with no paper towels), and extremely slow service. My friends and I were lucky enough to secure a table at the bar lounge in the upper level. It was hot out so we sat inside - BIG mistake! No AC or ventilation and it was packed. We waited almost 20 mins for a waitress to bring our beers - when I finally flagged her down and asked if she had forgotten about us she said “someone usually runs my drinks for me”. Our table was actually never cleaned from the previous guests - disgusting. We ordered pretzels and fondue and had to send back the cheese as it was cold and already hardening. This place is seriously understaffed and poorly managed. How on earth would you not have AC on during a summer night - and if it was a maintenance issue, why not open the doors and windows at the bar for a breeze? We left soon after realizing this place had lost their way. I would only think about coming back again on a Monday afternoon for happy hour when it’s 1/4 the crowd and the team can actually handle their operation.

Two Nights in a Row

By Buffalo51 |

My husband and I were staying at the Fairmont Hotel and wanted a cocktail before dinner. The bar there was packed with people attending a conference and very loud. We asked the concierge where else we should go for a drink and he recommended The Henry. It was an easy walk on a beautiful Thursday evening. We arrived and the downstairs bar, upstairs bar and upstairs patio were very busy. We were given a nice table on the downstairs patio which was very pleasant. Our server, Edgar, was excellent — attentive and efficient. We had two cocktails before we had to leave for our dinner reservation elsewhere. We told Edgar we would be back the next evening for dinner and he offered to make a reservation for us which he did. We hoped we could sit in Edgar’s section on Friday evening, but he was assigned other duties. We were seated a little early and the hostess accommodated our request to push two tables together so we could sit side by side on a banquette so we could talk to one another. We knew we would not be able to hear each other across the table. Our server last night was Nicholas. He was very nice and a lot of fun. He consulted with us on the menu and helped us select our choices. My husband is a vegetarian and he ordered the pretzel and cheese fondue for an appetizer. The portion was huge so I was able to enjoy it too. I ordered the short rib potstickers (recommended by Nicholas) which were very, very good. We wanted to save room for dessert so we had salads for dinner. My husband had grilled halloumi and I had the asparagus Caesar salad. Both were large portions and very fresh. Not too heavily dressed . . . just right. Both Edgar and Nicholas recommended the bread pudding and that is what my husband ordered for dessert and he liked it. I had the peanut butter moelleux and it was divine! The dark chocolate cake was dense but not dry and it was like a lava cake where when I cut into it, delicious peanut butter sauce flowed out. It was served with salted caramel ice cream. You cannot go wrong ordering either of these desserts! Yes, as other reviewers mentioned, The Henry has a little younger vibe but we are older and we truly enjoyed ourselves there. Edgar and Nicholas are exactly the kind of employees that make a good dining experience a great dining experience.

Modern setting, tasty food

By Travellover6128 |

We had a late night drinks and snacks at this new restaurant, We had the pot stickers and the pretzels, which were both good. Drink pours were generous, although expensive, service was very attentive and friendly. Would happily visit for dinner.

Nice atmosphere and food.

By Axel C |

Nice atmosphere and food. Had dinner with the family while visiting Dallas. Great location. Limited menu but worked well for us, as it catered to all our different preferences: from the Korean skirt steak and burger to salads and Mac n cheese. Potstickers were delicious. Nice drinks too. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Meh....not a great experience

By marsmadness |

We had been to The Henry for their soft opening a few months ago, and had a great experience. We decided to take our friends here for a casual Sunday afternoon late lunch/early dinner and wanted to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. We made a reservation for 4 pm and arrived about 3:50. When we asked the hostess to be seated on the upstairs patio she told us it as open seating, but they only offered a limited food menu on that patio. We asked if the lower level patio had the full menu, and she assured us it did, so we asked to be seated there. We were seated fairly quickly, and our waiter came by to introduce himself and drop off the drink and food menus. He left and as we reviewed the food menu it was VERY limited... 4 or 5 sandwiches, a few salads, and some appetizers. We really wanted to be outside so we didn’t complain. It took about 15 minutes for another waiter to come by and take our drink orders, evidentially it was shift change so we never saw the first guy again. Service continued to be extremely slow. We basically had to flag down the staff to get anything. When our food arrived only 3 of the four of us were served. After about 5 minutes of waiting to see ANYONE from the staff our waiter finally came by and asked how our food was. When we responded “incomplete” he seemed to be totally confused and didn’t recognize that only three of us had food in front of us. We finally had to spell it out for him and he went to track down the missing food. After all that the food was very average, and definitely not worth the wait. Maybe we should have sat inside, and we would have if we had known the menu and service would be so poor on the patio.

Delicious food and drinks

By Brendan S |

The Henry claims - somewhat tongue-in-cheek - that it is a neighborhood restaurant. It's actually on the fancy and upscale side. The Old Fashioned was terrific. The steak - while not exceptional, was a nice size and juicy and properly cooked, and I loved the parmesan truffle fries.

Spend you money elsewhere

By Christina E |

I was so excited about this place as it was my first time here, And my close friends were in for us to attend the hockey game together. The waitress named Taylor was so flat and dismissive to begin with that it had me wonder "well heck we just got here so we couldn't have made you mad yet." She never brought our second round of cocktails. We ordered medium-well burgers and they came back to us burnt; I could taste the burnt around the edges of the patty. She barely checked in on us. Then she brings us the bill without the courtesy of asking if it was separate. Luckily one of my friends works in accounting and we managed to fairly separate the bill. I told Taylor she should afford the table the courtesy of asking next time. She said ok and walked away w/o taking out payments. Then she brought us our individual bill. She totally overcharged us and placed items ordered in the wrong tab. We had to leave for the game so we just paid the overcharge, left a minor tip and left. I know that I'll Never Again visit this place, and will certainly advise against it to all my season pass holder friends.

So good we came back the next day!

By MumsyM |

Service, decor, vibes and flavours so good we went two nights in a row. We went on our own (couple) and had after dinner drinks on the roof terrace and brought our daughters back the next day. Everything we ate was incredible. Steak, all the sides, burger, mac and cheese, the beef popsickle appetiser and desserts all excellent. We ate EVERYTHING. The waiting staff were so friendly. Really made our last night in Texas super memorable.

Great staff, wonderful patio, good vibe

By Alan B |

Our first experience at this restaurant was less than perfect. We had problems with our orders and the waiter just didn't seem to be able to understand us. The food was interesting and the location is great. So,after much discussion we decided to give it a second try. World of difference. The seating was comfortable and the restaurant, while full, was able to keep things moving at a relaxed pace. Our server, Chris, was excellent and we appreciated that he had a good knowledge of the wines available. The noise level is typical for a Dallas restaurant, but we were able to have conversation without a problem. Love the pretzel appetizer. All of the dishes were well prepared. The tuna was really good and fresh. The dish that it came with had a Thai twist to it. There was a little spice to it but only a problem if you just hate any spice at all. There is a good selection on the menu for a wide range of tastes and appetites. After enjoying the dinner we went upstairs to the outdoor patio and had more wine while enjoying the space and the interesting views. The manager, Les, is a pleasant and interesting person who clearly enjoys his work. Given the amount of people there on a Saturday night I would definitely recommend reservations. We will be back.

Excellent and gluten free options awesome!

By HRoseOk |

Excellent! And gluten free options abound! Had a great evening with Billy our server. We enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup (great) (gf), the chilled grilled shrimp (gf) were amazing! Next up was the Braised short rib, (gf) was excellent taste and we sided it with a shared Brussels sprouts which were delicious! (Gf) then to top off we tried the peanut butter molten cake! Going out to eat with gluten issues is hard and this place made everything delicious! The ambiance was great a. A+ evening!

Don’t let the looks fool you! 1 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

By KM |

The shell of this establishment is beautiful BUT beyond that… That’s it. My husband and I just left The Henry we were seated pretty fast BUT after that is where it went downhill. Waited over 10-12 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence at the table. I don’t know our waitress name because she never gave it. We ordered the Truffle Brie toast as appetizer it was a few pieces of the toast were burnt however the flavor is the only reason this gets 2 stars along with the decor. I ordered Flower Child scramble which tasted burnt but was luke warm not hot. Our French toast were burnt (zoom in on pic) taste burnt as well and it took an additional 10 minutes to get syrup-so it was basically cold. My husband had the egg white omelette and he said it was okay the reason for 2 stars as well. I had a watered down ginger ale $9.50 and hubby a glass of cranberry juice $9.00 as well. Our waitress was merely non existent- had to stop 2 other waitresses to get a glass of water. While the food looked okay it was not good to me at all. When a manager came by and asked was the food good…I just looked at her AND GUESS what? she walked off didn’t even inquire or ask for clarity… as I type this I’m changing rating to one star because I forgot about that. $97 plus $20 tip= A WASTE OF MONEY…. Of course we tipped because that’s who WE ARE-but I left a note. We WILL NOT BE BACK!! Why didn’t we just leave because we were tired as we got up early to drive to a friends early church service and knew we had a longer ride back home as we don’t live in the area. 1 out of 10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Gorgeous restaurant with fine food

By Kion |

Went for a dinner with a group of friends. The interior was cozy, but the upstairs patio definitely stole the show with its stellar views of Dallas. The menu was relatively limited, and the sides were certainly not stellar, but overall a good experience. Be warned though: the Mac and cheese lacks any cheese flavor at all.

Nice Surprise

By sjpwildcat |

Came here after a restaurant I wanted to go to ended up being closed based on my Uber drivers recommendation. Was a nice surprise. Cool atmosphere. Was hopping. Nice and fairly elaborate drink menu. Parmesan fries were delicious. Also has the Korean beef which was perfectly prepared. Service was so so but food was great Will put on my place of return visits

Lots of fun

By Eddie NYC |

This is the first restaurant my friend took me to when I moved to Dallas from the city, and I’ll tell you that I was pretty happy. To see a place like this with it’s wonderful vibe, great staff, and good food, just made my day. I look forward to trying more dishes here.

Not upscale at all

By Stay296608 |

We dined at The Henry Saturday night as a party of 5 adults. This was our second time. Our experience was so disappointing! Service was not great at all. We specifically asked our server to not have our entrees served until apps were done. That did not happen. My husbands meal was cold. Ordered wine for dinner, it was brought to our table after we finished our meals. The table behind us was a group of 5. They were only having drinks. Their discussion was so inappropriate and loud. I did mention it to the waitress and she laughed it off. It ruined our entire night. I did speak to two managers after we paid. Not sure why I had to tell the same story two times?? Very unhappy with their response, actually found it insulting. We will not be returning to The Henry any time soon, and I do not recommend it when there are so many fabulous restaurants in Dallas. This appears to have become a lower level dining establishment. Very unfortunate that we chose it for a special night!!

Elegant place, that’s it.

By SouthwoodTruck |

Stopped for brunch while in Dallas. Sat outside as there was long wait inside. They accommodated us nice and adjusted the umbrellas to keep us out of the sun. The place is elegant and very cool. The waiter was knowledgeable and courteous. The food was good. It took very long time to get us the drinks, then it took one hour to get the food and no one said sorry, forget about drinks on the house. I would consider them for a second time if I wasn’t paying. Sorry they missed the mark.

Nice Environment, A bit stuck up

By Swimmer777 |

If you are looking for a bit stuck up, this is the place. The environment is nice indeed. The waiters were nice too, but had that "I work at an expensive restaurant" tone to them. The food portions are small at best. The cost should be more from 3 $$$ to 4 $$$$, and most likely this is why people came in, had an appetizer and in less than an hour they left. Groups around us on a week night consisted of solos and couples. All in an out. The decor was very nice, the cloth napkins too, so these little touches made a difference! It wasn't super cold as some other places are so very enjoyable.

Beautiful but a breakfast work in process

By Martin D |

We came for breakfast because we wanted to test it before we left town. Probably a mistake. Our partners in this venture had been for dinner and raved! Breakfast was a weak spot that day. It is fast casual at Bfast with counter order and table service. While the orders went in at the same time, they came out very very separately. Two of the four were 15 minutes later and we had to ask to be sure they were coming. In fact, the place was so empty that finding a server was not easy. There was noone coming around with coffee or water refils, noone asked if we wanted anything else, the toast order was cold, etc etc etc. We think there is potential, but if you aren't going to do breakfast right................... don't do it.

Don’t go.!

This was the worst experience. The service was extremely slow. The greenhouse was nothing like the atmosphere of the restaurant. I ordered steak to be cooked medium and arrived crawling! After requesting it be cooked additionally they said they would cook a new piece. I should have known that it would take forever however it never came at all and I had to just request that it be taken off the bill. It was not taken off the bill . This led to a fourth discussion. Simply would never return..

Great place...great service BUT ...over 10 times now watched as reception was short handed..entitled..slow... Who hires feir front reception??? They are more interested in chatting and move very inefficiently.. We live next door ..its why we dont come as much. N Italia next door is far superior service

Ambiance perfect Food is Average

The ambiance and setting on the patio is amazing and decor is perfect. The staff is very helpful and kind. Brunch sounded perfect but lacked in taste. I still would recommend this restaurant and would give it a second chance.

Couldn't keep away...

In town for a conference this foodie haven is conveniently located and accommodates lunch and dinner crowds easily. We especially loved the vegetarian and vegan options -- lots to choose from. The wine selections are pretty extensive and we enjoyed two lunches and one dinner at "The Henry"... I highly recommend this as a must visit when in Dallas.

Overpriced. no Free valet or parking.

The place offers no free parking or valet. They do not validate parking. Menu did not have a huge selection was stuck with just the burger.

They went the extra mile

I’m allergic to a key ingredient in many dishes so it’s hard for me to eat out without asking for modifications. So I had them remove the sauce from my sandwich. Our waiter informed the chef and they mixed me my own special spread for my sandwich. It was delicious and very much appreciated. Enjoyed my brunch so much more because of this!

I went here with a team from work. The food was good and the service was fine. I had the tuna and a cocktail.

Exceptional experience overall! Checkout process still under review

Happy Hour On Friday

By Patrice N |

Everything about the Henry is great! Wonderful atmosphere, great service, great food, amazing food. I love this place for a good happy hour on Friday. The view from the rooftop is great. There's a great lively vibe upstairs both indoor and outdoor during happy hour. This is the perfect place to grab drinks and snacks with your friends. Also a great place to mingle and meet other young professionals. I recommend the Henry for happy hour on a Friday, cute date night, or girls night out.

Good atmosphere and good food

We went 6 friends to dinner one night and the place did not disappoint us. The decor is nice, although for my taste the tables are too close, which makes it a little uncomfortable. Regarding the menu, it is suitable for all tastes. We order to share the pretzel with provolone, truffled potatoes and spectacular gyozas. As main ones we ordered several all american burgers, tuna braised with curried rice and shrimp tacos, all spectacular. From drinking we order several apperol of different flavors and beers. The bill was the most expensive we paid in Dallas, but come on, Polanco level.

Sunday brunch at The Henry

By Arturo_arzola |

The restaurant itself is modern, urban aesthetic. Perfect place for a Sunday brunch and mimosa. I would recommend trying the Parmesan French fries to start paired with the Strawberry French toast. The ambiance and music pairs well with the food. Great service as well.

Avoid this place. The manager reinforces why you should stay away

We had a large group for a birthday dinner. The service was poor at best. We had 8 people and they spaced out delivery of the entrees by up to 10 minutes. One steak was returned because it was ordered medium well and showed up rare. Second try thru forgot to put it on the grill. The manager said what should we do about it. The answer is to avoid.

Delicious

I had great service and food, I really enjoyed the spicy fried chicken sandwich I had for lunch. The truffle fries were interesting even though I'm not sure I enjoy truffle-infused fries. My waiter took good care of me.

Terrific Venue

Terrific venue. Nice menu, great scene and excellent service. Has indoor and outdoor seating plus an upstairs for more space and more fun. Right in the heart of Dallas! Enjoy
