Honor Bar has never let us down on quality of food or service. Unfortunately, today must have been an off day for everyone except the kitchen staff. Service beginning with the host was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Table side water was the only beverage refilled, iced tea was empty after the appetizer and never attended to. Waitstaff was generally unenthused and just efficient enough to bring food to the table when ready. At the end of the meal to go boxes were made but a bag was not provided until asked for. This is never the norm at this restaurant and very much unexpected. Food was outstanding as always.

I like the change here. Very comfortable and "club" feel, this is cozy inside and on the patio. Great for a break or destination, it’s a nice stop to catch a breath and visit with friends. Not a huge menu, but some typical fare...good...and nice wine list by the glass. I’m glad it’s here, you will enjoy how lay back it can be.

Went here for the first time on a Friday night expecting a wait but were seated promptly on the patio. (Also, there was plenty of self-parking available). The service was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We had the BEST food...chips and guacamole, ribs and a chicken sandwich. The ribs had the perfect amount of bark, were falling off of the bone tender and the mustard bbq was amazing. The crispy chicken sanwich was the best sandwich I've ever had. It's totally unassuming on the menu but it's seriously AMAZING. Overall, we had a wonderful meal here and will definitely come back next time we're in town.

I gave 3 stars because they completely tried to rush out meal to turn the table quickly. Like 3 ppl tried to grab my plate when I was still eating and literally put the bill down when they did pick up our plates. And even worse too our drinks away (water and iced tea) at the same time! What!!!! I was so thirsty and I don’t think 1 hour and 15 minute lunch is to long. Not to mention I was seeing my step mother for the first time since covid and celebrating her birthday!!! The food was good but will mot return bc this is the 3rd time this has happened!

Great service, food, and ambiance. Scot our server was exceptionally attentive and professional. You must try the trout dip and the jumbo shrimp! Phenomenol, I was very impressed. Lovely atmosphere while visiting Dallas. Enjoy.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. We arrived right at 5 because we heard Honor Bar was so popular. We tried the deviled eggs and brussel sprouts. Both were amazing. For dinner I had the Macho salad which was filled with tender chicken and homemade croutons. My first bite was fresh delicious goat cheese. Yum. My husband had the burger. It was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor. Yes, I had some of the burger and fries. Paige was a great server and everyone on the staff was attentive and personable. Definitely not a place for kids though.

Fun new Houston's venue! Love this Highland Park location. Wonderful outside seating.... the food is interesting. Great cocktail menu. The Casper is a really crisp vodka cocktail !

True to its mission statement, items are a la carte and limited—more a watering hole than a full dining or fast food experience. That said, it’s a very intimate experience and staff is wonderfully informative and accommodating. My companion loved the tuna and sauce. I would love the fish sandwich if not smothered in breading. The only good thing about breading is that after I peel it all away fish is nicely moist. Slaw here is not as tasty as at other Hillstone restaurants I have been to—too much liquid and not enough tartness. I am sure this restaurant with lovely outdoor patio be a hit it its affluent neighborhood.

Nice patio with heaters and a very pretty fireplace. small bar but adequate while waiting on a table. the food is very good and the menu diverse. friendly staff that provides quality service. as a Hillstone restaurant the consistency is the same as you receive at Houston's or the White House in Aspen. we like it.

Four of us plus a three week old baby and a tiny service dog had a great lunch at Honor Bar. Just a fun environment in a great location and great food. Could not have been happier. Yay Hillstone's!

I had dinner with 3 friends this week at the Honor Bar. All in all a good visit. This is part of Houstons/ Hillstones and you can see and feel the connection, from the menu to the decor. We had good service and good food. Two of us had the burger , one had the flank steak and one had the tuna tartare. All were good. This is a Highland Park hot spot so a bit difficult to get into. It's a good spot for people watching.

As I pulled into the Highland Park Village in my modest rental car, I felt like I was pulling into a scene from Gossip Girl, beautiful people everywhere, with nothing but Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, and the like in the parking lot. I met a friend for dinner, and have to say, though I kept waiting for a uniformed guard to tap me on the shoulder and tell me "Sorry sir, you don't belong here, please remove yourself and your trashy rental car from the lot before we do it for you", the atmosphere was wonderful, the service was spot on, and the food was terrific. I had the beef ribs, with a to die for mustard sauce that I would happily have eaten as soup. Pricy, of course, but not outrageous. The Village is definitely worth a visit, even if just to look at Hermes $23400 magazine rack.

After multiple visits, I can say that the place delivers a consistent good service and excellent food. The menu is small but to the point. The place is what you want to make out of it, from "nice casual" to slightly upscale. However the prices are on the high side for the most part. It has limited seating for big groups which in a way it's kind of nice.

A casual place to grab a salad or a sandwich. You can get a drink if that's your desire. Their kale warm chicken salad hits the spot. It a big portion. Easily big enough for 2. The place can get loud but fun to meet friends and relax.

It was a cold night with 20 degree F temps, making the pleasant patio seating rather unappealing, but nevertheless people were actually dining outside out of frustration I can only guess(see below about ridiculous wait for seating). According to our waitress, the warmers and small fireplace were not touching the cold air. We arrived just before 6 pm on a Saturday, knowing that the new popular restaurant would be packed with a wait...we gave our name and headed for the bar, where there was standing room only, 3 deep. The cocktails were fine, and wine pours relatively generous...but if you are looking for mixology, this is not the place. Still using the old fashioned bright red maraschinos...but thank goodness no umbrellas!. After 2 hours....yes TWO hour wait, we were finally seated in the EEEEntsy BITSY dining room...seating about 75 -80 people. It is a warm and inviting space, as most Hillstone restaurants are. The menu is as tiny as the space. Your options are a handful of sandwiches, apps, salads, and 2 mains (ribs and tenderloin). This was our second try with this restaurant. On 2 visits we sampled smoked trout app, boiled shrimp app, hamburger, fries, fired chicken sandwich, ribs and tenderloin. The only memorable items were the shrimp and trout. The smoked trout was not smoky, but still tasty. The shrimp was simply delicious, four large served. The sandwiches come piled high, mostly with cole slaw that masks the minimal flavor of the beef and chicken. I can honestly say that the fried chicken sandwich at Shake Shack is more flavorful at a fraction of the price. Cole slaw on a hamburger, really? The ribs arrived luke warm, tender with an average sauce. Fries dry without any salt, and none on the table. We were surprised that our meal was comped when we asked for the bill, as we only asked that the ribs be warmed, without further complaint. A reasonable but what will be an unsuccessful attempt by management to get us to return. It takes monumental not mediocre food to get me to wait 2 hours for a meal.

I have been coming to this restaurant several times a month for 5 years with my kids, relatives and friends. It was my favorite place. I really love the ahi tuna salad and it was the best in this restaurant. I always ordered it. A few weeks ago I had an incident with the manager. I was sitting in the patio with my friend and kids. And my sister came up to me. It was Sunday, 3 pm, the restaurant was not full. There were many tables and chairs available. People who was sitting next to us offered they free chair for my sister to sit next to us. After the manager came and said that their policy does not allow more than 4 people to be seated at a table. I politely asked to seat my sister for a maximum of 20 minutes until we finish eating and pay. The manager was very impolite and did not want us to listen. I said that I hoped for a better treatment of regular customer. A few days later we came again with a friend and children for dinner. I had my cough medicine in a small glass. Same manager grabbed glass from me just said give it to me. I was shocked!!!!We waited for food over hour. My ahi tuna salad was low quality and much less than usually. I asked the waiter to return the salad. He called the same manager who did not agree with my opinion and did not want to return the order. The manager suggested me not to go to the restaurant if I am not satisfied with their ahi tuna salad. I was very surprised to hear that. I returned food for the first time in 5 years!!!!! She said that I am constantly unhappy! Wow! What a liar! After dinner, we ask our waiter why the manager is very rude and not polite to us. To which the waiter replied: because last time you left a small tip. Tipping is the client's choice to leave or not Also, last time we did not like the attitude of this manager to us. So we left a small tip. Then couple days later we I came back with my friend for lunch again and customer service said we cant service you, because you was complain to the manager!!!!! Whats go on with my favorite bar!!!! I'm only was complain once about food!!!!!

We were very surprised that we could get a reservation on Valentines, but with short notice, we got in. Atmosphere is nice, quaint, warm. Very small though. Menu is very limited. I had the filet, my husband had the chicken sandwich. Sides were all very limited as well. Sandwich was big enough for 2, but comes ala carte. Filet was burnt (not charred, burnt) on the outside and under cooked on the inside. I ordered medium and it was BLEEDING. Glad we tried it, but not going to add it to our list of go to places.

Stopped in to eat at the bar during a business trip and had a great experience. Service was prompt, friendly and informative without being intrusive. The rotisserie chicken was really well done and I’m still looking for their rice recipe! Good selection of wines by the glass as well. I don’t come to Dallas often but this is a define stop when I get back.

This new respite in the swanky and venerable Highland Park Village is a feather in its cap. A beautiful bistro that conjures a Rocky Mountain apres ski hang out or a Pacific Coast landmark, this is a wonderful hideaway for drinks, snacks or meal for a special date. Pricey and limited menu but the smoked trout spread and toasts is a must starter. Specialty cocktails plus extensive bar.

While visiting Highland Park with co-workers we stopped in for drinks later in the day, but well before diner service. The hostess appeared friendly, but was quite snobby and wasn’t very interested in assisting us. We ended up finding a spot in the bar, where we enjoyed some pretty nice cocktails, but once we were done with the first round, she asked us if we were done and told us diner service was beginning, prompting us to leave. During our stay at this table, another service came over to help us and we were going to order appetizers, but she saw this and promptly said something to the server, ushering her away. The venue is cozy and nice with a pretty good cocktail menu and the food looked great too. But the service from this hostess was pretty bad. We commented to each other that she clearly judged us upon entering, as we weren’t as “pretty” as many of the patrons se probably expects there. Definitely wouldn’t return.

Cheftain our third visit to this property and we are always as pleasantly surprised with good service and excellent jets on offer. Our friends who live in Dallas are regular guests. Dishes offered, presentation, tastes, services all come together for an excellent to share

We were turned away and not allowed to have lunch here because my sister was wearing sweatpants. They were clean designer clothes . We were incensed and she was humiliated that they would not seat us. Don’t patronize this establishment!

We are big fans of the Houston's restaurant concepts (R&D, Houston's and Hillstone). Honor Bar is the newest of the brand. Although I was not "blown away" with my first visit, this place will be a hugh success because of it's Highland Park Village location and small number of tables. They don't take reservations and I'm guessing you will have an hour + wait at prime dining time around lunch and dinner. We waited 75 minutes at 6:30 on Friday. They have a nice bar but it was 2-3 layers deep when we arrived! Wine selections were OK-offering several wines on tap (Really!) The menu is pretty limited--predominantly sandwiches and salads. No daily specials. Minor annoyance was charging extra for fries with sandwiches since the other concepts don't charge. Our food was prepared well and nicely presented by the always well trained Houston's staff. If you want a much better dinning experience, go to Hillstone on Preston Road. They take reservations and have a more extensive menu selection. No wines on tap there!!!!

Have always loved the restaurant (even with it's addiction to "presentation" and refusing to chop a Shrimp Louie) but the change now is significant. They have renamed the Beef dip to a prime rib sandwich and do not offer au jus or the ability to request it. Upon asking, the answer was that they added jack cheese and therefore removed the au jus. Really? A much drier sandwich that now is in the blah category.

We had a spectacular late lunch at this architecturally delightful establishment. Enjoyed the trio of dips. Each was delicious on its own. Shared the Kale and Chicken salad which was more than enough split. Don't walk past this place. Stop in for a wonderful experience.

Our friends have been here many times and brought us along this time. We were thrilled at the food and the service. They had shrimp Louie salad and we had the macho salad. Both were excellent.

Planned to go with friends to Honor Bar on Sunday for dinner. My husband and I got there early and sat at the inside bar so we could put our name on the list for dinner as no reservations are taken. We ordered a lovely bottle of champagne at 630pm and proceeded to wait for our friends to arrive at 7pm. Not many people there so felt our 7pm meeting time would be fine and I was really looking forward to having a lovely meal since we had only had drinks there but no dinner. Our party arrived and the 5 of us were seated at 7pm so all was looking good. Then, when we started to order, Everything we ordered, was unavailable. They finally stated they were out of bread, shrimp, eggs and bacon. They did have bread but not the kind to be used on the pork sandwich and the shrimp they had was for shrimp cocktail. There was no flexibility or trying to make things work with food available. And, if they were so lacking in supplies, they should have informed us at first or not served dinner that night. Totally unacceptable in this level of restaurant. We paid our bar tab and left to walk across the street for a totally wonderful and memorable meal at another restaurant-Cafe Pacific. I was really looking forward to having dinner at Honor Bar but as the name implies-it a bar! The one star is for the bar chatter, bartenders and the champagne which we enjoyed. Lesson learned.

The Honor Bar has an attractive outdoor patio with a large oak tree towering above and an attractive bar and dining area inside. There is a very nice upscale atmosphere, but you are paying for Highland Park Village when they charge $7 for a Miller Lite and the cheapest wine to be found is $12. The guacamole with chips were good,as was the service, but due to the high prices for what you get, we probably wouldn't visit to often. It's one of those places where you can easily afford, but don't want to afford and wonder what their monthly rents are. I think a lot of the diners want to be seen frequenting the restaurant.

I have been here several times now and each time there are several things that are always consistent. The food AND the service. I have had the Chicken sandwich and the burger both have been fabulous. I also love that they do not mark up the wines an outrageous amount. The only downside is you might have to wait a while for a table.

We landed at the Honor Bar just by chance after walking around Highland Park Village. It was an extremely pleasant afternoon and we requested outdoor seating. We shared the Burrata on toast and loved it. The flavors were fresh and delicious. My friend got the Macho salad and declared it one of the best she’s ever had . The dressing set off the ingredients and the dates were an awesome surprise! I ordered the pan seared ahi tuna salad. The flavors of the tuna with mango, avocado, cilantro and almond vinaigrette was fabulous. The portions were perfect for a late lunch/early dinner.

I’ve been here a few times and wouldn’t order anything again. Also they need to learn the difference in a a cappuccino and an espresso. Service was good.

Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. Nice outdoor area despite close proximity to parking lot. Small menu but nice variety. Food was very good. Nice wine selection

Ambiance is perfect low key and good lighting and food is incredible. We ordered crab cake salad and macho salad of the day as well as the Bruschetta. We will definitely be back.

The Honor Bar is located in the Highland Park Village and I have been eyeing this place for a while. We walked up with no reservation for a late lunch, so it was around a 20-30 minute wait. The patio was completely full and it would have been over an hour wait so we went with dining inside which has nice booth seating. I really didn't know what to expect with the food, and reading through the menu I started to get a bit concerned with all of the salads on offer. The overall menu is a bit limited and I was really at a loss on what to order - other than the fries of course. We saw a lot of good reviews on the Honor Burger so got one of those, French Fries and an Old Fashioned while I mulled over the menu for a bit longer. Finally needed the help of our server, because who else would know best about what's good here. Tossing up between the Ahi Tuna Tartare and the Ahi Tuna with Shiitake Ponzu, which one has more flavour, she recommended the Ahi Tuna with Shiitake Ponzu, so went with that and hoped for the best. French Fries ($5) - Delicious, has some nice seasoning too and got extra of that. Very crispy and yum. The sauce which comes with it is really good too. Honor Burger ($18) - Honestly completely blown away with this. The Yelp pics deceived me and made it look like a healthy sandwich, but it's a proper burger and this was one of the most tastiest burgers I've tried. The meat was perfectly cooked and all the ingredients went together so well. This was truly amazing. Ahi Tuna with Shiitake Ponzu ($27) - I was really expecting to be quite upset with this. $27 for a salad basically, I thought. But I was so wrong. The Tuna was delicious and perfectly seared and the real treat - the salad!! Can you believe it, the kale salad was divine. And it was so filling! I thought I'd still be hungry after this, but no - really, really good - an awesome recommendation from our server. Old Fashioned ($15) - So, so - not the best Old Fashioned. Quantity 5/5 - Very filling - but I actually finished it all without getting it to go - which was a first. Probably more on the lines of - it was that good I was willing to over do it. Ambience 4/5 - Dim lit, cozy - very date night. The patio looks great too but recommend making a reservation beforehand. Service 5/5 - I know there's a lot of comments on here about poor service, but guess we were lucky because our server was amazing, friendly and very helpful. Spice - 0/5 - yes no spice, but still good. Taste 5/5 - Super yum! Loved everything we tried. The meat in the burger was top quality and everything was made to perfection!! Drinks 3/5 - Only tried the Old Fashioned. Had a lovely time here and will definitely be back for the burger and (eek) kale salad. Overall ambience is nice too and a great place to just chill out - definite weekend spot.

If its crowded and the hostess estimates 20 mins. Don't believe them. If the bar is full, then leave. Waited over an hour. Left. What a waste of time.

We sat outside and we're served a delicious cheeseburger with homemade coleslaw (cabbage, parsley and an outstanding dressing) a world apart from the usually soggy mess... The house salad with pecan had a delusions suble dressing. Very impressed.

My friend and I stopped by for a late light lunch and glass of wine. Both wines were extraordinary and reasonably priced. The atmosphere outside on the patio was delightful for people watching - the waitstaff was excellent! We had a waitress whose smile lit up the world as she served. Our food was terrific and we checked out the inside atmosphere and it is comfy and fun! Go - check it out!

Unbelievably huge bar with great drinks. Great food good atmosphere really would recommend to all my friends to come here. When you come here you really really have to order the Brussels sprouts they are phenomenal

I popped in here last week late lunchtime for a glass of wine on a recommendation & i really enjoyed this place. Clearly a very popular spot to dine at, with a superb atmosphere. Even late lunch on a Monday there was a wait for those wanting a table. Always a good sign. I opted to sit at the bar where i ordered a glass of wine. The service was excellent & very friendly. It’s essential to feel welcomed when sitting alone at a bar. The cabernet sauvignon was of course good. Everyone around me at the bar was indeed enjoying their bar meals & the menu looked good. I will be going back & taking my Husband for dinner. A very friendly location with nice decor, great staff & excellent atmosphere.

Second visit to this property. We were there for the first time in 2018 and back with our friends in Dallas we returned with pleasure. The setting is cozy and the service pleasant. We all had a different dish and everyone enjoyed it. It was good and fresh.

This place has it. Great food good location great drinks. Friendly staff enjoy the chicken sandwich. Not just any ordinary samwich. Like many of their dishes a twist and touch in the combinations that make them delicious. I can't tell you I. This review to spoil it. Start your culinary adventure by ordering drinks. Move to the appetizer the. Go for the main. You won't be disappointed. The great thing is just about everythinhpg on the menu is good. I habe ran through most of it with friends and family on multiple visits. It's that good you WILL go back.

We made plans to go to the movies but thought a lil' 'linner' (that time of the day when you get hungry between lunch and dinner) was exactly what we needed before the show. Had heard about Honor before but hadn't tried it yet, and what an epic win it was. Let's start with perfect weather. Fast and courteous service. Delightful and knowledgeable servers, fast service, yumilicious food and drinks, and of course, beautiful people everywhere. Our first dining experience of 2017 couldn't have been better, we even got to say hello to our sweet Barbara Buzzell and dear Kenny Goss. We shall return!

Cute little place. Very limited menu. Slow service, but friendly. I was expecting more as it is one of the new places people are talking about.

If you have children you might want to avoid going to Honor Bar in Highland Park Village. We live walking distance to HPV and my wife loves taking our 14 month son to the village for lunch. All the restaurants in HPV are extremely kid friendly and go over the top to accommodate them with the EXCEPTION of HONOR BAR!!!!! In fact Honor Bar and their managers go out of their way to make sure you know that your children are not wanted there. Just the other day my wife went there at 11:30 am asked if she could be seated on the patio. The extremely rude host " Susan " asked how many? My wife said 2 and a half. Susan asked what's the half?? My wife responded with my baby!!! Susan immediately said we don't have high chairs, my wife said that's not a problem he will sit in his stroller, Susan then proceeded to tell my wife it would be an hour and thirty min wait for a table when there were 3 open table on the patio and one person waiting in front of my wife. I wish this was the first time this has happened but it's not. This is the third occasions. My wife decided to go across the street to MiCocina who happily seated her and my son on the patio immediately!! I decided to go over to Honor bar to have a little discussion with this lady. When I approached her I asked if I could speak to her!! She responded in her crappy attitude voice and said ABOUT WHAT!!! Who do these people think they are. Do they not realize HPV is built on families ? I will never step foot in Horror Bar again ! Didn't know until yesterday that there are restaurants like HONOR BAR that DISCRIMINATE against women with babies!! I will be taking my business to MiCocina , Bistro 31, Union Pizza and Byrd Bakery's and I suggest any other parents with small children do the same and avoid the nasty people at Honor Bar!!

Hostess was incredibly rude! I had a reservation but was greeted with a “How can I help you” off put smirk. It pained her to have to “honor” my reservation. Attached is photo of honor burger. Bun was stale & rock hard!

First time to visit. Don't take reservations so we waited at the bar with limited seating & space. Ordered an expresso martini. Bartender said 'we don't have those' (?) No explanation, no suggestion for something else - she just stared at me. Finally I said 'give me a minute'. Friends she had not been very amiable to them either. Once seated I asked our waiter & he said they don't stock Kahlua. Shared 5 appetizers that were good & 1 macho salad that was VERY good. Surprise was an order of deviled eggs gets you 3. Waiter was attentive. Restaurant is somewhat crowded & loud.

The patio is always nice, subject to weather. The deviled eggs and trout dip are great appetizers. The wine list is very good. All items on the main menu are always winners.

Honor Bar is a great little restaurant and bar in Highland Park. The salad I enjoyed was wonderful and plentiful and the service was first rate. I didn't get to enjoy wine, but looked at their list and it is first rate. I will be back and highly recommend.

My wife and I went here for dinner it was absolutely fabulous she had the chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts and I had the other burger and fries and it was phenomenal

Enjoy the macho salad but overall, the food is ok but not exceptional... Great location to hang out with friends

Super energy, the staff was courteous and warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Limited menu at the bar but great cocktails, highly recommend you block a table in advance if you would like to dine. Visited the place twice during my stay in Dallas, Had a fantastic time

Very poor service and very dirty- staffs are not very friendly- hair in my food and our waitress did not look clean at all.

Food or outside seating didn't disappoint. However I had a very slow inattentive server unlike the one taking care of the table next to me. Great Shopping district. Have patience

I’ve only been here for a couple of dining’s and happy hours but I’ve always had an amazing experience. One particular evening a manager named Julian introduced himself at our table. He personally made sure we were so well taken care of. The service has always been impeccable. Fast forward to Mother’s days we decided to try it for brunch. Again Honor Bar far exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing, the drinks were tantalizing, and the service was attentive. It was a perfect experience for my mother. I can’t wait to come back.

I had not been here since it had changed from Patricio's and upon walking in we actually loved what they had done with the décor and ambience. However, it sort of stopped there sadly. My friends live within walking distance but had been out of town and we had eaten dinner earlier somewhere else and had been to the sweet little theatre in the village and wanted to go somewhere for liqueur coffee and dessert afterwards. Firstly they only have ONE (yes, I did say that) dessert! It is lemon méringue pie which we presumed, as it was the only dessert on the menu, would be extraordinary, It was good but not exceptional. The liqueur coffee arrived in just a regular old coffee cup, no presentation whatsoever it was awful. We quickly ate and left. Upon entering I had thought I would like to come back and try it for dinner one night, but not sure I would bother.

Went with friends. Trying to cut hidden sugars out of my foods, very difficult to eat there. Everything I asked about had added sugars. I ended up with a hamburger, hold the cole slaw(lots of sugar). The location will be a success but if you are trying to watch your sugar intake, go elsewhere. Our server was less than friendly when I inquired about dietary restrictions. Much better to go across the parking lot to Mi Cocina.

Great little patio. The food and service is always good. Prices are also fair. Great small venue in Higland Park Village.

We were told this was a great restaurant and that is the truth. Excellent staff with prompt friendly service. My wife and I both ordered the “Macho Salad” which was creative and very good. If you are in the Highland Park area make sure to eat here.

Went here 3 dales ago for my birthday, though a table was empty outside the waiter said someone else was sitting there (must have been ghosts). We were seated quickly and we had a good table. Our order was taken after about a 10 minute wait, food and drinks came soon afterwards. Nice ambiance and a nice group of people. We felt it was a tad on the small side and friends have told us it gets to be Grand Central Station at rush hour during peak periods. Service was great however the food was just so-so. The hamburger was kind of "icky" and I should have ordered a salad instead. Wine (Merlot) was also so so, had something of a cheap bite to it. Patrizios was much better though much louder due to the acoustics. We'll be back but we don't know when.

Rudest manager - Daniel - the tall guy with glasses - I have ever come across. But apparently after reading multiple reviews we were not alone in our experience of dealing with him. Shockingly rude, ZERO customer service. Refused to serve dinner and threw five 40 year old mothers out of the restaurant after they waited over an hour for a table. Plenty of empty tables on a Tuesday night. they had somehow seated a party of two at one of the 3 tables that could “accommodate” 5. Came to our own agreement with these nice young girls who had finished their meal 30 minutes earlier and were just sitting talking to offer them our fire pit chairs and buy them a drink. They were thrilled to be getting a cozy seat and freee drink so the table would finally free up for us. Well Daniel did not like that we had better management skills than him and as soon as we sat down he immediately came over and asked us to leave. It is unfortunate that Hillstone has a terrible manager running such a great location. He clearly can’t manage it because many empty tables and no creativity on how to accommodate everybody. Needs to be replaced and taken off his high horse.

Terrible, tried to order 3 plates in the menu they were all sold out with no other options in the menu for us

We went for a date night. $7 Miller Lite draft. The wine was reasonable. No Crown Royal so I tried TX Burbon. Ok but $14 for a single. Basic pour nothing extra. The service was great and the staff were very friendly. The chicken sandwich and the burger come with coleslaw on the burger and sandwich. Both were good but not great.

The generous pours of wine and delicious food make this one of our favorite places. You can't go wrong with either lunch, dinner or just sitting on the patio drinking a glass of wine (and the pours here are GENEROUS!).

Another birthday celebration! I love the outdoor seating as well as the interior of the restaurant. Unfortunately, our booth was at the end corner of the bar area, which I didn't really favor, and as a group of 6 ladies, it was a little tight seating. The lunch food menu was fine, maybe a bit limited, but I loved my shrimp salad. The fries were top notch, but the chicken sandwiches, although big in size were somewhat oily. What mattered the most was that our birthday friend was happy! Our waitress was very personable. I would love to visit again for dinner to sit at the patio.

The Honor Bar is the perfect addition to Highland Park Village. Inside and out this new venue is filled with charm. Ding's Crispy Chicken Sandwich is a must try! I can't wait to go back for lunch on the patio.

The food is excellent, several repeat visits proofed the point. The service staff is attentive and professional. As a popular place, it is not a screaming variety and one can enjoy your very conversation at your own table. Outside seating is available and much preferred by many. Our choice is mostly for the inside. The bar is also an excellent spot to have a bite to eat.

This restaurant/bar is located in one of the most exclusive outdoor “malls” in Dallas. One will find the highest end stores here, as well as some good eating options. Our friends are regulars and their favorite foods that they ordered during our visit are the trout dip, the omelet, and the crab cake. My daughter had a salad (made vegan by the absence of cheese) and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I had to disassemble the sandwich to make it fit in my mouth. I tasted everyone’s dish and would call the food good but nothing exceptional. The service was outstanding and the outdoor seating charming, though cramped.

My recent visit to Honor Bar was disgusting. We arrived with friends, hoping to enjoy some drinks on their patio. Although the staff informed us that patio service was unavailable due to potential rain, they allowed self-service, which seemed manageable. The main issue began with the general manager, whose behavior was both unprofessional and unwelcoming. From the start, she made us feel uncomfortable and kept a negative watch on us. At one point, she insisted that our well-behaved toy poodles, who were peacefully sleeping on our laps, be put on leashes. The situation worsened when she accused us of being too loud and demanded that we leave. When my partner tried to address the matter calmly, she immediately escalated the situation, telling us to leave and not to worry about paying for our drinks. She even called the police and informed the valet staff that she believed we were unfit to drive, a totally baseless accusation. We observed other patrons appearing extremely intoxicated without facing any issues, which made us feel targeted. Despite having only three glasses of wine over several hours, we were treated unfairly and it seemed to be because we are part of the LGBT community. Ironically, we had just enjoyed a lovely lunch at R+D Kitchen, another Hillstone Group restaurant, prior to our visit to Honor Bar. This experience has completely soured our opinion of the entire Hillstone Group. The general manager's inability to communicate effectively and her eagerness to go out of her way to create conflict were appalling. We will not dine at a Hillstone Group restaurant again due to this experience. Additionally, the food at Honor Bar is not really that great, with very limited options for vegetarians and vegans. It's basically just Chili's for rich people. Avoid Honor Bar if you value respectful and professional service.

I hesitate to share the details of the amazingly delicious Honor burger! It is a perfect blend of ground chuck, cheese and tomato topped with a slaw dropped down from heaven. This entree was so outstanding that I almost returned to eat the same burger the next day! (crazy good food)

The nastiest service staff we have ever experienced. I am shocked at the management (tall guy with glasses), who walks around sizing up the patrons. If you don't match his expectations, he will belittle you. Our family was dressed nicely, sat quietly, and arrived from a college graduation. Unbelievable. At some point, he will do this to the wrong patron and finally get fired. For now, he thinks he is the king of Honor Bar. Snickering about us as we sat there. We felt like we were in high school and the mean girls were coming. Weirdest experience ever and not something you would anticipate at a simple dinner (the food is good, but this is not a high-end restaurant). Honor Bar is not a pleasant place to dine, but a pretend want-to-be club run by a manager with a chip on his shoulder who hates his job.

Just landed in Dallas and was driving by the area and stopped to find some food. The Honor Bar had the perfect atmosphere for our Saturday lunch. We ate out on the patio, I had the Shrimp Louis, my wife had the Macho Salad - both were very good. They also had a nice beer menu, not great, but serviceable. I had the Golden Opportunity. A nice refreshing Kolsch. I would come back next time we are in the area.

This is definitely a meet market and a place to see and be seen. Despite this, they provide very good food and drink at a reasonable price. A tad noisy but still better than their sister establishment, R+D Kitchen. The staff is very friendly and provide excellent service.

Great patio in Highland Park Village. This little neighborhood gem enjoys good food, diverse wine list and great service. You must arrive early if you want patio seating as it’s small.

It was my habit to go to this restaurant . Aways ordered their center cut filet which was fabulous. so that is what we did. asked our waiter for the center cut filet for 4 people. which makes a good ticket for a waiter. not cheap skates for sure. We received instead the cheapest cut of meat there is. a flank steak and was charged $42.00 per flank steak. When I complained they said the waiter didn't know. (He should know especially its their only steak.). We asked for Tanqueray drink and they substituted Tanqueray 10 without consulting us and when we complained we were told we didn't know what we were talking about. They argued about it and they could not have been more wrong. I have started 7 restaurants , 2 were fine dining French restaurants. I'm not finished. so disgusted with the meat they brought I asked them take it back and I would have a hamburger. WHAT COULD GO WRONG? after only one bite I found a long hair not my color in my hamburger. They took that back. I lost my appetite. My husband was drinking a drink and he was not finished and a waiter just swooped in and took it without asking. They said they did have that center cut filet but at one of their other restaurants. So they knew? Regulars who order the same thing every time they come don't read the menu. even then the waiter had to say simply we have no center cut filet. how easy is that.?Its not a sin to not know but its bad to make a regular feel like its their fault. No consideration was given us for their mistakes. One free drink? a single dessert . the smallest thing would have helped but instead we were just customers that were wrong. And we paid for 3 flank steaks at $42.00 a piece. Soooo disappointed.

From extraordinary tartar appetizers and more to exceptionally prepared entrees this place is a welcomed addition to Dallas. The bartenders are very friendly and the environment is quaint yet elegant and cozy. My son had a burger which was also amazing. 70% beef 30% brisket. Unique all the way around. Photos attached of entrees!

My friends and I had a really good experience, sitting on the outdoor patio of this dog-friendly restaurant in a very ritzy area of Dallas. Service was excellent, professional and prompt. We had several bottles of champagne and bottles of beer. Their tuna tartar, shrimp cocktail (enormous shrimp), deviled eggs, guacamole and hummus, and tres leches cake were excellent. The ambiance and people watching were great. It is a very popular bar, even on the Thursday night that we went. It's a "happining place" and I will go back.

This place is overrated and has terrible service. The waiters here were gossiping about my friends and I have NEVER had that happen anywhere... They were rolling their eyes at us and were not a terrible group... Overall, I would have given this restaurant a 0 if I could have!

Outstanding food and service. Yes, its part of the Hillstone chain but they do what they do well. Standouts are the Chicken Sandwich, Macho Salad, and of course the Cheeseburger. Cocktails are expensive, around $15, but good strong pours. If you're looking for a place in Highland Park Village to sit and watch the rich and privileged of Dallas.... this is your place.

Located in Highland Park Village. It is a really good place for lunch. It’s location makes it upscale so be prepared for such in the pricing. They do take reservations but won’t seat you until your entire group is present. They have a full bar but not really much space to wait. There is an outdoor patio with some seating for dining. Indoor tables are pleasant. The burger is really quite good.

On 11/2, your receptionist told us to wait wait 20 minutes while 3 tables were open outside. She said she has other folks ahead of us with incomplete parties but she still has to wait on them to be complete!!! what kind of logic is that???? Walked over to Mi Cocina and was served immediately. Discriminatory attitude!!!

So sorry to have to write this negative review. HOWEVER... Although I have been a fan of this place in this past, I must let everyone know you should definitely avoid this place going forward. Here's why: I arrived at 11:10 am for a lunch appointment and secured a table on the patio due to COVID- concerns. I am over 60 and have underlying health issues (as does my health colleague). While there, we saw not one, but two people stroll into and stay inside the restaurant with attire that the restaurant specifically outlines on its website as off-limits (backward baseball caps, athletic wear, flip-flops, etc.). We asked the servers about it and they said, "Well, we ask people not to do that, but..." Ah, I see. You ASK people to do it, but you don't really enforce your rules. But it gets better. After this (mind you, we are in polo shirts and dress slacks) I am approached by restaurant personnel when we leave -- 4.5 hours after I arrived. "Sir, do you need an Uber? We're happy to call you a ride." "Um, I had 3 small drinks over 4.5 hours and you think I need a ride? SERIOUSLY? I was a breach baby when I was born, which causes me to walk funny (my feet pronate unlike other people's). Really? Is THAT what this is about?" "We show you had 4 drinks." "Um, my colleague accidentally knocked both our drinks over shortly after you served them, and you kindly replenished them. The reality is, I've had 3 drinks in 4.5 hours. Less than one drink per hour. And, I expect you to know that. And yet, you don't? SERIOUSLY?" (Do you see any typos in this post, which I am making immediately after I returned home from this incident? Does this post appear to be one made by someone who is meaningfully inebriated? I am 65, and have never had one DUI in my entire life). This is the same restaurant group that refused to allow their servers to wear protective masks, until those servers went berserk and social media demanded they be allowed to protect themselves. And the restaurant group eventually (under social media pressure) relented. I sort of overlooked that incident until today, Truly, this place is a nanny/authoritarian state. Wow, I cannot believe how I was treated and I STRONGLY encourage people to stay away from this place, given my treatment there. Sad but true. People strolling in, violating their web-site dress code, but I am treated like a law-violator when they are the ones who are unable to discern I had 3 drinks, in 4.5 hours rather than 4. WOW. Stay away!
Delicious!
We stopped in for a late lunch and we're not disappointed! The service was excellent and the food amazing! We had the chicken sandwich and it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had -- the freshly baked bread made it so good! One of our party had the burger and also loved that. We ended our meal with their only dessert the Tres Leches cake -- we loves that too. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The prices reflect all of it, so don't be surprised when you get the bill. But it was a great meal and we will go back!
