By MOHAMMED ABU HAJAR |

Hummus Bar & Grill was amazing, today it was the first day they open after Corona Virus, so they have rules applied for all customers to wear masks at the entrance and while moving inside the restaurant and the checkout each customer temperature, Any way Hummus here is amazing I ordered Huumus with beef with Zatar Bread and Mix Grill Kebab and Chicken with Majadara and Salad ( It weird they call it Israeli Salad) the food was amazing the door lady was rude when i asked her permission to video my experience

Best hummus in LA

By Shayna G |

This is hands down the best hummus I've had in my life. And that's including Israel! You can't pass up the mushroom hummus, it's pure ambrosia.

Excellent Hummus Bar & Grill and Good Food !!

By Locksmith L |

Excellent Hummus Bar & Grill and Good Food, Delicious Israeli food in The saan fernando valley amazing oncce again, I would recommed this to anyone who likes israeli food....

Really delicious and fresh Israeli food!

By Cheryl M |

This little gem of a place was selected by an Israeli friend for a group dinner, and it was the best Israeli food I have ever had. The selection of hummus is amazing -- the ones with mushrooms and with pine nuts were astonishingly good. The bread is beyond fabulous, and the shawarma meat dishes were perfectly, perfectly cooked. There were so many delectable side dishes and a great main menu. Highly, highly recommend this place! Ample parking, too.

Come in on an empty stomach

By Travel2andFr0m |

This was the 2nd. time I've visited this restaurant and it was as good as the 1st.! This place has the best Middle Eastern food I've had in the US (and I frequent these types of restaurants). The home made laffa (flat big pita bred) are superb, the hummus is excellent and the meats are even better. Fast and good service and the prices are fair as well. Highly recommend and can't wait to visit them again...

Very good food

By jazzSt_Louis |

I haven't been this pleasantly surprised in a while. I loved the presentation on the table and the way food was served. Loved it. Loved every single dish. Plan to go back. Huge portions, worth the money. Delicious food.

traditional Israeli cuisine

By The_Hobes |

I have eaten here several dozen times and the food has consistently been very good, so is the service. I go early (5:30 or 6 PM) because it gets packed later, VERY popular with Israeli immigrants. the menu includes many "Mediterranean" dishes besides Israeli cuisine including Moroccan and Lebanese. it is always very clean and service is good. it can be very noisy when it is full, the patrons are not soft-spoken. the menu is broad enough that even people who have never been to Israel can easily find something to suit themselves.

Best hummus and shawarma in the valley

By specialk23 |

I love this place. I don't often end up in the valley for dinner. But whenever I do I come here. Hummus is outstanding. As good as some of the best in Israel. Shawarma is also fantastic. Salads can be a little average. But comes for the salad. I totally recommend this place if you like Israeli.

Mushroom hummus .... love

By Creeping_Death_LA |

I was invited by my cousin for lunch, she highly recommends this restaurant. The young staff are super friendly and not one had an attitude. We ordered two different plates of food but what really shined through was the mushroom hummus with a large piece of soft warm pita bread. One order of food with a side dish could've fed both of us.

Falafel in the valley

By markinRB |

I met a friend for lunch here during the week. At around 12:30 we had no problem getting a table. By 1:00 it was pretty full. The hummus, mushroom hummus, and picked items were all quite tasty. I was in the mood for a falafel sandwich - not on the menu! Still, you can order one (it is a secret menu item).

Delicious, interesting and welcoming

By SalMillen |

This blonde North Carolina visitor was definitely a fish out of water. The staff could not have been more welcoming. I sat at the bar and was served complimentary peppers and a cabbage/cauliflower slaw. I ordered a kale, mint, parsley salad, etc w a peanut dressing. It was sizable and so delicious I almost finished it. Loved the authenticity of the place and the easy camaraderie of the staff. There was a large piece of meat on a rotisserie they were carving from. Lamb?

Best israeli food in the valley

By Royka79 |

Love this place... Make sure to try all the little salads... so so delicious and as close as you can to israeli food ...

Great food!

By Misty K |

We were driving by and found the reviews of The Hummus Bar and Grill. We decided to give it a shot. WOW... the staff is very friendly and their recommendations are terrific. They really know their menu and help to find what you would like. I love the Chicken and the Filet. The red cabbage and the steamed veggies are so good. The hummus with mushrooms are to die for. We have been to this place twice now and each time we love it.

YUM!

By Debby S |

Had the best meal here on a recent visit. This is my 2nd time here & it's a destination for me every time I visit LA. The food is great & I feel like I am back in Israel from the moment I walk in. They have a lot of new items on the menu which our waiter told us about. We shared the fantastic hummus with ground meat & pine nuts. I had an amazing new dish of ground lamb/beef kabobs which was prepared in an amazing broth of steamed vegetables. It was delicious & had a great kick to it. My daughter had her favorite chicken skewers. For dessert we had Moroccan sfinge which was absolutely amazing. These are traditional Moroccan deep fried sugar coated donuts. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back!

Great place

By Lior Koskas |

We visited the place for the first time with 2 Families on a Friday night. Selection of very tasting salads were immediately put on a table with constant refill every time one is finished. Service is typical Israeli - friendly and welcoming with a funny side. Main courses also sizeable and tasty. Highly recommended.

Delicious meal

By krinyo1 |

I went with my whole family and 'yes' the food was great. My teenage boys loved the steak kabob that was delicious and full of flavor. But the best part were the 2 waiters we had. They were so attentive and respectful. I told all my coworkers in our ICU to go there.

What a hidden treasure

By csimmamps |

In a strip mall in an inconspicuous place there is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I have ever eaten at, their hummus is fantastic and they have a wide variety of delectable Israeli dishes

Amazing Mushroom Hummus

By AnnieP7 |

Love this place. Came here with coworkers and found the food amazing. The mushroom hummus is the best I've ever had. I've tried several items on the menu and have never been disappointed.

Surprise find

By Rezmataz |

Ok, so I️ am trying to go less meet. Quick check on TA recommended this place. I️ truly enjoyed the food. It was delicious. I️ loves the freshly baked bread and even though I️ did not try the kebab that they were slicing( I️ will do that next time) I️ wanted to have it! I️ will go back next time I️ am in LA. They should open one up in Boston or Cambridge. Great service too

great food in the valley

By doolang |

We were so pleased to discover the HB&G on TA while driving up to Santa Barbara. We ate outdoors and had good service, enjoying a lunch of nicely presented appetizers and wonderful laffa bread. Hopefully we'll be able to come again!

Pleasantly Surprised at the Great Food Here

By Jeannie D |

I have passed this place hundreds of time and today I decided to eat here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chicken Swarma was excellent with a huge portion. I got the grilled broccoli which was also delicious. The humus was also excellent. Their pita bread is very unusual and freshly baked and yummy, but was white.

A new experience made for a great time

By Ray G |

My wife and I were taken to this place by our dear friends for a new experience and WOW ! I have never had Jewish food before and I gotta tell you I'm a big fan now . Fantastic food and our waitress Liraz ( I hope I spelled her name right ) was so accommodating and knowledgeable not to mention friendly along with the rest of the staff made for for a fantastic dinning experience . Great food cool staff thanks guy's you hit this one out of the park.

Almost Like Israel

By PlatinumHoney |

Except for the fact that the wait staff isn’t surly, it’s almost like being in an Israel cafe...started with the plentiful array of salads (babaghanoush, egg, fennel, Turkish, spicy eggplant pieces, chopped liver [ok that one’s different], and more), reminiscent of the style and flavors of Israeli starters with keep ‘em coming large warm pitas. Hummus with pine nuts and mushrooms, excellent. Enjoyed a leisurely time without being rushed. Beer and wine, good, too. Then had a ribeye marinated kebab and lamb kebab. These were not as great as expected. While cooked as ordered, it wasn’t served hot (and the server’s admonition to beware the skewer wasn’t necessary, as the skewer wasn’t even hot); lacked that char and grill flavor, but was fine. Choice of sides. Grilled veggies not very good — just a bowl of sweet potato and over cooked broccoli) and basmati rice cooked perfectly and flavorful. There’s a large menu with lots to choose from, so definitely would return and sample some other offerings. It was busy, but the volume of voices wasn’t such that we couldn’t hear each other talk.

The best hummus!

By The Dave |

First time based upon the #1 spot on the list. We weren’t let down. Great service with very attentive staff and they were busy during lunch. The hummus was creaming with a great nuttiness flavor, the traditional pickles and vegetables, then the pita araya, schwarma and chicken breast kabob were all awesome. The schwarma portion and two sides can easily feed two. I wish you were closer to us but we will be back.

Selection

By Benny M |

Great service and good variety of middle eastern food with flavors and creativity, they make their own pita brea Need some improve design wise a little out dated

Freshest Middle eastern food around

By Chris W |

Beautiful salads and freshly made bread provide a great fresh platform for this middle eastern experience. Great exposure for first timers to try a bunch of great dishes. You will be back for more!

Tel Aviv West

By zogmeister |

A Groupon tucked safely in my fist, we descended mid-afternoon at the Tarzana outlet to find people eating there already. Efficient, friendly staff filled our take-out order to a tee and off we went. NIce, creamy hummus (could stand a tad more garlic, but oh well), well-seasoned kebobs, ultra fresh pita cooked to order, OK Isreali salad, terrific felafel. Gei I say.

Mediocre

By ISR_TR |

They are supposed to be "The Original Taste of Middle Eastern Food". At least that's what they say about themselves. The hummus was good. So was the falafel. The rest of the food had an "almost but not like the original" flavor. The lamb skewer didn't taste like lamb at all. The restaurant was very crowded, both inside and outside, and if it was up to me I would place more waiters there, because we had to wait quite a while for the food.

need to feel like you are in israel but in the heart of the valley

By MrCaliAdvisor |

great Israeli Food, amazing hummus and nice atmosphere. I recommend the falafel, the kebabs or the fish. You will not be disappointed

Great home made bread and Salads, whole bunch of them!

By Barry684 |

I have eaten there few time, my lover girl and I. The salads are many, and most f them are delicious .hummus ,you have to order, but Baba ghanouge, eggplant in oil or in sesame seeds tehina. There is the corn salad with a touch of Mayonaise. There is the egg salad with fantastic, Turkish salad, which kind of spicy and tasty at the same time. The bread is an excellent old fashioned Arabic bread that is usually made by hand and baked in a stone oven wit natural wood, which I am sure this resturant adopted from the Palestinian villages, being an Israeli resturant . As they also adopted few of the middle eastern tradition of other teams specially the great Kenafa dessert which is awesome and comes hot to your table with rose water sugar syrup. But, you have to make sure that you have left some room for that. Also one of the great adoptions is the popular Arabic breads with Zaater and olive oil freshly baked. Even though Israelis claim ownership of the Palestinians/ arabic/ middle eastern food, it's a mix from the region with specific ownership to it being just Israeli, as this restaurant is. The grilled chicken also is great, and we eat one of the tastiest fish that we had lately . This last time the eggplant tehina was not right, and I brought it to there attention, but it's the only time.

Great Israeli food!

Great Israeli food! We enjoyed the Hummus and other salads as well as the meat skewers and Schnitzels. Great for families.

Great Mediterranean food

By JimH_Tarheel |

Went to Hummus on a recommendation from a family member. Friendly waitstaff, great food and offer meat and vegetarian dishes. Their fresh baked nan bread and varieties of hummus were awesome.

I had the hummus with tahini and olive oil... it was the best I've ever tasted! And the shawarma wasn't too shabby...

By Storyteller58345 |

I had the hummus with tahini and olive oil... it was the best I've ever tasted! And the shawarma wasn't too shabby either., but the potatoes that went with it were a little dry.

Food to make you miss Israel

By Ejal B |

Very good Israelite food and good prices. The location is good with lots of parking. A restaurant where you will always hear someone speaking in Hebrew. Forsure:-)

Tasty

By 43judy |

Tasty food and nice service. Plenty of parking. Recommend using their take out service. My grandaughter loved the chicken skewer. Rice w. vegetables was very good. Not a place for conversation because of noise.

Incredibly Delicious and worth the extra price

By AnastaciaM7 |

Had a Groupon, so I decided to try it and well worth it. Other reviewers raved about the Pine Nut Hummus and they were right! Best Hummus ever. My son got the Romanian Beef Kafta, very tasty and unique, I got the Portobello Mushrooms, delicious. Everything was exceptional, and they even have ample free underground parking, a rarity on Ventura Blvd. Great service and atmosphere, a little pricey but well worth it. The pita bread is also soft and tasty and made fresh.

The hummus in the valley

By MrCaliAdvisor |

Feel like a taste of Tel Aviv in the valley ? The hummus bar offers great hummus and grilled Mediterranean food that you will enjoy !

Better than the rest

By TravelerVII |

There are a lot of Israeli restaurants on the boulevard but this place is tops. Don't order to much because it will be wasted. Start out with the hummus and chopped beef. So good it's a meal in itself and we always share for the 4 or 6 of us. Snitzel is great but si much other things to choose. The Israeli salad is a meal in itself. Chopped fresh tomatoes, onions and a mint dressing. If I stopped there, it's enough to eat. Never had room for delicious looking desserts.

Best Hummus in LA !

By Nesher1 |

Great food and service. The food is fresh and delicious . Try the Romanian kobbab. Also great "Turkisk coffe "

Yum

By mspitzer18 |

This place might just have the best hummus in town. Considering the name of the business...would not he shocked. The service is on point. The parking is a bit tricky but there is under ground. My staple meal is the chicken swarma. Never had a complaint. Their hummus with mushroom is devine

Excellent food and Service

By Varda S |

If you willing to drive a bit -this is the right place, the Hummus is sooooo good, all the other salads are very tasty, portions are huge, The variety of meat is wide, Best Mediterranean food in the neighborhood

Dinner

By shcorporation |

We ordered a Romanian kebab and aJerusalem mix that both were great. Unfortunately the service was awful. Nobody came to serve us but when bill was ready they came to ask about the service to make me pay the good tip. Need to change the service You will get much better service on Fast food restaurant

Go with a friend! Tasty food thats fit for sharing.

By Dyonisusdaughter |

As usual I was out and about on my own and on my way to acupuncture so popped in for lunch. Very friendly staff and the food was good. I got the chicken thigh and lamb skewers and it came with a bunch of little dishes to start and I got hummus and vegetable rice for my sides. This was enough for at least two people. The lamb though I asked for med/rare was well done but the flavor was god. The chicken was excellent and I loved the veggie rice. The humus was delicious, very smooth and creamy with great flavor. There are a bunch of things I want to try on the menu, just need to go back with friends.

great Hummus

By Heliow |

Nice place, I think they will soon be a chain of reastaurants, it so good food with great price. Want to eat again.

Smooth and Creamy Hummus

By melobeam |

The Skinny: Parking- underground Decor- minimalist Restroom- clean Service- friendly Food- tasty My friend and I came here for lunch on a Wednesday and it wasn't very busy. We were seated immediately and they bring out 3 small dishes as an appetizer. Pickles, pickled cabbage, and salsa. I loved the crispness of the cabbage but the salsa was kind of bland. We ordered the marinated chicken skewer which has 5 pc of perfectly cooked chicken that is actually very good. I ordered the french fries and my friend had the steamed veggies (broccoli and sweet potato). There is also a cucumber and tomato salad that is very refreshing. We ordered the pine nut hummus which is very creamy and smooth. The pita was huge and also very good. Overall not bad!

Good Hummus!

By CMM_1963 |

The Hummus Bar offers lots of good Middle Eastern fare. The hummus is good. Not as good as in Israel, but better than most. A nice Israeli vibe and if you're missing the sound of the Hebrew language, this is the place to go. The wine selection is not great , especially if you're looking for Israeli wine, which is surprising. Worth the visit overall.

Love the appetizers

By zogmeister |

Combo appetiser plate, that terrific bread and a couple of skewers of chicken livers or kefteh kabob a la carte, you’re in business.

Great Middle Eastern Food - Tarzana, CA location

By BonTheTraveler |

If you like Middle eastern food and a busy, friendly atmosphere, this is your place! Come hungry. The assortment of small salads is a must and watching the guy make the lavash bread in the front is a fun way to pass the time if you have to wait for your table (which you will if you come at busy times). Good food, buzzing atmosphere, and friendly service. You'll feel like you're in Israel!

Best Hummus In Town

By Eden4K |

Love this place. The food is excellent and plentiful. Service is very friendly and good. I come here often with my family to enjoy Israeli food, though it's very noisy.

Great with friends and family

By Stu S |

Like a cafe on the streets of Tel Aviv! Great Middle Eastern food, both kosher and not kosher meat with plenty of vegetarian options. We went with four friends who all know Israeli food first hand and we all agreed this was the real deal. Great laffa that keeps coming to the table, but don't fill up cause the the rest of the meal (no matter what you order) is going to be huge and so delicious!

Interesting and good food.

By stephensmom |

First: Oh the hummus! I have traveled and whole bunch and they have the best hummus ever! The other dishes we had were good, but if you go there, please get the hummus. It was a bit loud, but it was a Friday night. Will definitely return.

Best Hummus in LA

By Mark O |

My family loves this place. Sometimes we drive an hour each way just to have authentic Israeli food!! It has many Israeli salads, great Turkish coffee and deserts.

Medicore Mediterranean Food

By carryon504 |

After reading other reviews we decided to try this place. The plain hummus is bland and needs more tahini and garlic. The mushroom hummus that others rave about was better but not exciting. The homemade pita was good, but our first piece was cool and hard, since it had been sitting out for a while. Make sure to ask for fresh, warm pita if it is cold when it arrives. The sweetbread skewers were tough, chewy and not edible. The chicken and lamb skewers were dry and unremarkable. The server was nice and replaced the sweetbreads with chicken, which was at least edible, though bland. Possibly the Jewish/Israeli entrees are better but unfortunately we did not try them so can't comment on this. Since we chose this restaurant when visiting L.A. and others said is was the "best hummus in L.A.," I can only assume that L.A. doesn't specialize in Mediterranean food. Next time you are in New Orleans, try Shaya, the best Israeli/Mediterranean restaurant in the country!

House hummus, fantastic

By travelgal219 |

The house hummus was fantastic, but the rest of the meal was just so-so. Staff was efficient, although not super friendly. Fun atmosphere and might try again to give it another chance.

I Don't Know How to Rate This Place Anymore

By CITravelfan |

I normally don't write reviews on restaurants, and I'll do so only if anything unusual occurred. Such is the case with The Hummus Bar and Grill in Tarzana, California. This restaurant has absolutely the BEST-tasting Israeli food I've ever had and service is also great, and continues to be so. That's why it's always crowded. We have been here over a dozen times this year because it has been such a great favorite - UNTIL NOW. We went to take our boss out on boss' day, and ordered their assortment of appetizers and chicken kabob - all amazingly delicious (we were in 7th heaven). Later in the day at the office, however, all of us but 2 of us who went got sick. The person we gave leftovers to also got sick. My stomach stayed upset throughout the evening, but after I took probiotics and had some sleep, I was OK. Other people, though, were a different story. They couldn't come to work for a few days and they couldn't hold any food down because their stomachs were so upset. They also came down with fevers. The 2 people who did not get sick did not eat the red cabbage salad - so this item may be the culprit. My boss reported this incident to the Department of Public Health, and we were told that they would schedule an inspection. So now I don't know how to rate this place. We love the food - but we're reluctant to go again because of our last experience.

Great middle eastern fare in the San Fernando Valley

By maadiman47 |

Visiting relatives in the LA area who recommended this restaurant and I am glad they did. It is good to come with a group because then you can sample a wide set of choices on the menu. The salads were super tasty; the laffa bread was absolutely delicious and the hummus options were extensive and quite innovative. For an entree try the house schnitzel which was absolutely awesome. Overall, a great middle eastern/mediterranean menu with deliciously fresh food!

Even better than home

By E_P_the_one |

I am a hummus fan, I think I have visited many hummus restaurants and I also make my one, This place has one of the best hummuses I known.

excellent Israeli food place

By nabramson48 |

The Shawarma here is killer. I also love the hummus of cores. its a good place to take your family. The meat is fresh and its gooood!! do yourself a favor and check this place out, you will like it. Took my wife and kids here, sat outside and really enjoyed the environment.

Really great food here!

By MooshLA |

Really good, fresh Israeli (Mediterranean) food. Starting with the fresh fresh fresh giant pita - so good and so plentiful! They have the best hummus options, including my all tie favorite (and often go-to) mushroom hummus. So good! Every salad I've ordered has been fresh, high quality, and flavorful. I've had fish entrees here, and each has been very tasty. The staff are attentive and informed - some aren't as personable, but that's OK. The pricing is fair, and the outdoor seating is A+. It can get 'sceney' at times, but that's fun. Easy and free parking in their lot. It's a nice Tarzana restaurant worth visiting. I happen to frequent it.

Oy So Noisy but Delicious

By 385eileenz |

Met a friend for dinner who somehow managed to get the three of us a table on a Sunday evening around 6 p.m. The place was so crowded that those without a table were crammed into the small waiting area as outside it was a warm, humid evening. A huge round pita is brought to the table rather than a basket of bread and a large bowl of hummus which was delicious. I ordered the chicken skewer which comes with Israeli salad (diced chunks of cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.) and could only finish half of each so the rest came home with me for another meal. The two guys ordered a tofu version of something spicy and both liked their selections. My only complaint was the incredibly loud conversations everywhere around us and saw at least two families at large tables with 3-6 children milling around while their parents spoke loudly to their friends at adjacent tables. Ate there with one of my grandgirls last year at a quiet time and enjoyed the food then also. If not there at a quiet time, I would do take out if I wanted their food.

Reasonable & Good

By Love vacation time |

The two of us sat on the patio which was pleasant on a warm night......traffic noise included free!!!! We enjoyed a side salad of Babaganush and a chicken breast skewer with french fries and slaw. All of this for $21.36.....plenty of food for the two of us. Service was exceptionally pleasant......Server Romit.

Fantastic dinner

By Debby S |

Loved this restaurant. Came here with my daughter to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing. My daughter has been here often & raved about the food. She was so right. We had the hummus with pine nuts & chicken skewers with all the fixings. Felt like I was in Israel! The atmosphere was laid back and fun. The place was packed which speaks volumes to its popularity. I will come back here when visiting LA.

Upbeat vibe, really good Mediterranean food, charming staff

By 0591TimS |

We returned to Hummus Bar and Grill having visited previously several years ago. The menu has grown as have the portion sizes. Inside the ambiance is modern and relaxed with both dining rooms wrapping around a bar. We chose to take a table outside on the sidewalk in the shade from the canopy and were very comfortable. A most charming waitress helped us with our selections and looked after us very well. We chose Shawarma plates, one with hummus and salad, the other with french fries and vegetables. The food was all delicious but far too much - we could have shared one Shawarma plate and been satisfied. We took more than half our food home in boxes. Our server helped us pack it away. Good value. We highly recommend this spot for lunch.

What happened to the reliable Hummus Bar & Grill?

By David B |

We have been somewhat infrequent customers of The Hummus Bar and Grill. Many years ago, we were weekly patrons, when it was a small restaurant with a limited menu, very personable, very clean, and delicious food. We get there about 4-5 times a year and were last there about 6-9 months ago. Sad to report that it appears that it may be under new management or new ownership. There was no warm greeting, most of the wait staff looked bored and or bothered. They made little if any effort to engage with the customers. The restaurant in the bar area does not look clean. The area near the sink, the coffee and latte machine looked like it needed a good wiping down, a dirty towel sat very close to where the coffee machine was. The glass door on the refrigerator unit below the coffee was loaded with finger and hand prints. Dirty dishes were stacked on a bin within easy reach and eyesight of bar patrons....pretty unappetizing. The walls behind the sink in the bar looked like they needed repair and repainting. The men's room also did not look clean. We came to the restaurant on a Sunday after it had just opened for service. Bathroom sink was filthy as did the grout on the countertop in there. Floor looked dirty too as did the walls. The room needs to be painted and more attention paid to making it look spotless. There is a saying that if the bathroom does not look clean, it may be a clue about how one would find the conditions in the kitchen. I cannot help but wonder if that was not the case here. I sat at the bar. I opted for a falafel sandwich. The falafel was overly salted, the falafel itself bordered on tasting and looking burnt. Perhaps the frying oil was compromised? Or was it just my recollection of how great the falafel there was every other time I came in and how really bad it was this time. Complimentary pickles and green olives were nice but the pickles are now much smaller than they used to be. The pickled cabbage and peppers was okay. Service was pleasant and kind, but the whole experience left me feeling like I did not want to stick around to try dessert. I just wanted to pay and leave.

Huge hummus

By Nany M |

Amazing Hummus, great price. Authentic Lebanese food. Huge portions. The staff wants to be very quickly, sometimes we need more time to choose!

Best Choice

By Lisa V |

With the exception of elegance, this is the best choice for dinner if you’re anywhere near this location. Vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters, they have it all with over the top Taste sensations. Do not not get the “salad.” Share with your group as the appetizer or as your meal. The savory egg plant is my definite favorite and I do not like eggplant taste sensations. Do not not get the “salad.“ Share with your group as the appetizer or as your meal. The savory eggplant is my definite favorite and I do not even like eggplant! Great atmosphere. Beautiful, high-quality real food to nurture your body and delight your taste buds.

Great Middle Eastern food

By PJoRanan |

Best Israeli restaurant in the valley. Kabobs are excellent; For vegetarians or vegans, the grilled portobello mushrooms are to die for. Service is excellent. The large hot homemade pita you get as you sit down is scrumptous with hummous...try it...you'll love it...

Top notch Middle-Eastern / Israeli food

By SDCA312 |

Have been eating at the Hummus Bar & Grill for few years now and always had a great experience. Everything is very well prepared to perfection. The bread and humus are excellent and so are the skewers. Many patrons travel far just to eat here, I would highly recommend it and would definitely come back.

Great place to eat

By Tim4511 |

Enjoyed Israeli food. The service was good. Enjoyed the Knafi which I haven't been able to find since I was in Israel. The Israeli cumber/tomatoe salad wasn't the best though.

Israeli style yummies

By zogmeister |

Delicious, well-prepared and authentic Israeli/Middle Eastern food, like great kebobs, beef and/or chicken, terrific hummus and felafel, fresh-from-the oven pita bread with a pleasant smear of charcoal, plentiful Israeli salad; basically, all you could ask for. They even have alcohol-free beer that I remember from my year studying in Israel. Servings are large so consider sharing an order, unless you want to take home serious left overs, of course.
