Neat library looking atmosphere.

By Douglas B |

We stayed at the nomad hotel and opted to eat at the restaurant there before we walked across the street to the George Strait concert. The service was great we told them we were going to the concert and the made sure we were served and out on time. The place was a nice looking motif had a library look with two stories of books. We were disappointed in the flavor of the New York strip. Had a little French flare which maybe a style I don't like but if you like French food might be great.

NoWay I’m coming back.

By Epidog |

Was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant with my wife. Food was excellent as expected however the prices definitely do not match the portion size. $64 for a less than 1lb lobster thermidor is a complete ripoff compared to other fine dining restaurants we have tried. My wife had the duck entree and at $43 I would’ve at least expected a duck breast not 1/4 of one. Forget the duck confit that was a part of the dish- 2 pieces the size of your thumb. We don’t mind paying $$$ for food and have dined at many 5* and 3 Michelin star restaurants in the world but the value is definitely not here. Service was even worse. Only saw our waitress 2X the whole night - taking our order and asking how was our entree was. We had more attention from the busboy. And so we gave him a great tip and not so much to our waitress. If it wasn’t for him I would’ve given this restaurant 1*. The only lifeline that is saving this restaurant is it’s location within a hotel of the same name. Knowing the average Vegas diner’s expectations this restaurant would probably be gone within a year. Plus lots of empty tables on a NYE weekend which is probably the busiest time of the year. I wonder why? Save your money and go elsewhere. * note that my email request to the restaurant for a response has been ignored.*

This was a birthday dinner for a friend and it did not dissapoint

Top quality service and food. This is a fantastic place to celebrate or to have a nice romantic date for two!

Great food and fun atmosphere

By mark48tennis |

On a recent visit to Nomad restaurant, I was very impressed with the quality of the food, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service. Between the appetizers, entrees, and dessert, everything was perfect. I optioned for the branzino and my wife for pasta, and both dishes were served fresh and served hot. Definitely try the truffle baked potato as an extra -well worth it and quite rich in taste. As for service it was attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself is very interesting with over 20,000 books surrounding you. Well worth the price-check it out!

Great atmosphere, superb food

We were really surprised about such a beautiful hidden place. The restaurant in a style of an old library looks a bit like a scene from a Harry Potter movie. Food was absolutely excellent, service was amazing. Highly recommend this plave.

Disappointed

By Stuart M |

A restaurant in a beautiful setting in a beautiful hotel did not display the level of service one would expect from such a distinguished property. One can tell immediately if the employees enjoy working in an organization by their facial expressions and body language. These service people were without smiles on their faces and lacked in pleasant personalities. When speaking to the table it was as if they were reciting from a manuscript. Service was slow. Prices were high. Food was good but not great. It took forever to get our check. Came with high expectations because we had just stayed at the Nomad Hotel the week before and everything was great. We left the restaurant very disappointed.

Great Food !!!!

By MS0WENS |

We went to the Bar side and had a night to remember! Great service and food from the start We had the Hamanchi ceviche to start followed by the Burger and the fried chicken wow who would have thought something so simple could be so great !!! Looking forward to when you open in London !!!

Uninspiring with over-loud music

By ewankirk |

Went for a pre show dinner. I’ve been to NoMad in NYC as a hotel guest and diner a number of times and this Las Vegas outpost is not the same thing. The restaurant was basically empty and we were seated at a table for two between practically the only other people in the restaurant. The tables are way too close together. The music is twice as loud as it should be and inappropriate for a restaurant. Who wants to eat with Billy Joel (!) at a volume which makes conversation difficult? The menu was uninspiring and when the food arrived it was uninspired. We had two starters each and the food was more than $100. Which is a lot for a shrimp cocktail, a crab cake (limp and greasy) and two small salads as mains. The wine list is equally overpriced and underwhelming. A bottle of cheapish Chablis was $90. It’s hard to find classy dining in Las Vegas but if you want that, don’t go here.

Needs Help

By Terry S |

Nomad Library aesthetics are nice. Ordered 2 drinks one was a whiskey sour, waiter asked if the egg in it was ok I said yes. A bit later he came back didn't have whiskey I asked for, no problem I ordered a different one. My husband got his drink I did not. Food comes out still no drink, waiter comes over says bartender went for an egg .... can I get you something else? I didn't ask for the egg you stated it was how you make the drink. You can make whiskey sour without an egg. I skipped drink altogether. Truffle fries were under cooked. Gem salad and tuna tartare were very good.

I’d wander somewhere else.

By mcdedrick |

Well, like a reviewer before me, I really wanted to like this restaurant. We were staying at NoMad and decided to try the food at the restaurant. We had decided in advance that we wanted to try the signature chicken dish with four Graz and truffle. (95$ for two). There was plenty of food but I didn’t taste any fois gras and there was only a slight hint of truffle on the chicken skin. A problem if you don’t eat skin. So for the amount we spent on it while it was tasty, definitely did not live up to its promise. The service we had no problem with. It was pleasant and efficient. The atmosphere is unique and pretty cool. Bottom line. The food for us didn’t live up to its cost.

Luxury & a Burger!

By Margaret H |

Nomad Library Bar has an Old World Charm. Feels like you’re in a high-end Private Club; dark luxury with excellent tunes. We loved it. It has a nice menu with just enough options, albeit a bit pricey. I paid $26 for the absolute best burger I’ve ever had in my life. We’ll go back for sure.

Less than the sum of its parts

I had a business dinner here. I started with the Bocuse soup that was chicken soup with foie gras and puff pastry on top and the pasta with sausage and truffle. Everything was very expensive and even though the combos sounded good they just didn't work.

Dinner and Drinks with friends

By LVRealtor89052 |

We picked NoMad for a friend's birthday before the Knights game. The atmosphere is fantastic. The service was slow and the food is just okay with a hefty price tag. After the game we went to the bar and ordered drinks. The bartender started to make them and left them sitting. We had to ask another bartender almost 10 min later to finish the drinks sitting on the rail.

Look but don’t eat

By Tahoe Jill |

Cool setting but downhill from there. The library buildout is incredible and makes you feel like you’re at Hogwarts. But the food is average at best, the service is so-so (except for the hostess who was very warm), and the volume that they play the music at-and the type of music-just doesn’t go with the place. We wanted to leave when we first got there due to the music and wish we did after eating and getting the bill.

Terrific setting

By Garytripping |

The library setting is a class act to start with and followed by first class service and food presentation. Well deserving of getting rated as excellent. Wine list is not for the feint of heart but a small selection of reasonably priced choices can be found. Overall, we had a very good experience!

Great atmosphere and excellent food

By mark48tennis |

Our expectations were exceeded on a recent visit to the Nomad Library for dinner. The atmosphere is very chill, with booths and tables surrounded by two stories of books-like you are dining in a library. The service was excellent, attentive and yet not bothersome. Food was well prepared with a variety of good dishes from Lobster Mac n Cheese to Truffle Gnocchi and the special fried chicken. If I had one suggestion it would be for a better wine selection by the glass, but otherwise you cannot go wrong. Enjoy!

Romanced by NoMad

By kbass0001 |

What an incredible experience. NoMad Library has a visually stunning dining area that delivers a luxurious yet romantic ambiance. Our appetizer, fried artichoke, was the best example of the dish I have ever tasted while our Cioppino and Chilean Seabass entrees were savory, delicate and merged flawlessly with each dish's accompanying ingredients. The service staff was knowledgeable, attentive and added to an already wonderful atmosphere. Nomad Library is truly a five-star dining destination.

Book-Lover’s Dream w/ Excellent Food & Cocktails

By Karen G |

I feel like this restaurant is underrated. It was my first time dining here, and I was amazed by how beautiful and elegant the interior is. I especially love the library aesthetic. At first, I thought the books were just for decoration, but our server assured me they were real. When I picked one up, it was surprisingly heavy, which made me appreciate the decor even more. I’ve always been fascinated by books and that whole aesthetic it’s just so beautiful to me. For the food, I ordered the oysters, which were fresh and light, and the baby kale salad. Let me tell you, I eat a lot of salads, and this one definitely stood out. It was delicious, and the dressing complemented it perfectly. The yellowtail crudo was also light and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered the Hangar Steak with chimichurri, and he truly enjoyed it, rating it excellent. The cocktails? Phenomenal. The service? Even better. The staff was incredibly attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I have to say I think I’ve found my new favorite restaurant.

Save your $

By Sandra D |

NoMad left me mad 😡Ridiculously expensive, food was mediocre and we left hungry. I tried to fill up on bread, but their pastry puff bread was so salty, it was just weird. The branzino was small, thin and plated by itself! Unattractive and unfilling. My daughters salmon was small, also plated solo, but was a little more palatable. Heirloom tomato & burata cheese was ok, but served after our meal because they forgot to bring it out 🤦🏻‍♀️ Restaurant is very dark, cool retro study/library look, music didn’t match ambiance. I liked the 70’s, 80’s music playing, but it did not match intimate, dark atmosphere. With all the great restaurants in Vegas, I say skip this one!

Bravo

By swtrip2 |

I almost didn't make a reservation here because of some of the negative reviews. But this place is a winner. All of the servers were friendly and helpful. The food is uniformly tasty and the venue is elegant. The chicken for two is delicious. We needed to make a show and they efficiently brought all the food on time. Well played, Nomad!

Poor quality food

By Jim c |

It’s an absolutely beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately the food did not stand up to our expectations. It was served faster than a McDonald’s serves a hamburger. The steak was OK at best. The lobster was terrible. My first drink came right away. I was done eating by the time I was able to get my second drink. I don’t mind paying high prices for good food, but this is not good food.

Almost any other nice restaurant in Vegas is probably a better choice

By a_degenerate_gambler |

We ate dinner here for my husband's birthday. It was expensive, service was fair, and I didn't really like any of the food at all. They charged for soda and bread refills. The bill for 4 of us (and one only got a salad) was ~$500 and they charged for soda and bread refills. Really? The sides were not great, the fries tasted weird, the specialty cocktail options were boring, and my filet was simply not good. There are dozens of fine dining options in Vegas, and this rates as one of the lowest I've tried. We will definitely not be back.

Don't Miss This Spot

This Place is Excellent for pre or post concert/ event cocktails & appetizer! I saw M5LV @ Dolby Live Sat 3.31 and had flown in from IN earlier. Concert was Over the Top incredible but left me starving! The seafood appetizer with scallops & shrimp was excellent! My cocktail was delicious followed by a glass of Chalk Hill Chardonnay. My bf joined me when his flight got in! He had the exact same thing as I did & loved it as well..not to mention, there is an Amazingly talented pianist/vocalist who crushes IT! Dead ringer voice of Adele!! Definitely will go back. Laid back relaxing vibe with excellent service!!

Superb meal.

By travelindoc2018 |

They served popovers (in lieu of bread) with butter to begin with, while we enjoyed our drinks. It was a little strange in that they did not provide us with any silverware at that point, rather, one butter knife on the butter for us to share and two small plates. We started with the oysters Madison, ordering the combo of hot and cold. The cold were in a vinegar mignonette and the hot were broiled with breadcrumbs. The oysters were the smallest I have seen, perhaps less than a ½ inch total, but the cold ones were delicious. The hot ones were overwhelmed by the breadcrumbs, so that you did not actually taste the oysters. This was followed by their signature dish: The Nomad Roast Chicken for two. While we would normally not order chicken out, this had such raves we did. It was brought out before it was carved up, looking beautifully browned, and crisp skin with a bouquet of thyme (I think) sticking up between its legs. It was stuffed with foie gras, black truffle & brioche; a dark meat friccasse, and had some spring vegetables and mustard-brown butter vinaigrette small salad on the side. It was just amazing. Very tasty and succulent. We finished off with their cherry cheese cake and their milk and honey dish. Both very delightful and light. Service was excellent and very attentive throughout the meal. The setting is unique, as if you eating inside an extremely large library room with 25,000(!) books covering every inch of the walls and a second level above.

A Pleasant Experience

By apritche80210 |

I'd read about the NoMad opening in Vegas, and we decided to go, not knowing anything about the original in NYC, or what to expect. The setting, upon walking in, is unlike anything you're likely to see when you go out to dinner: all four walls, from floor to ceiling, lined with books. Some tables snuggle right up to the cases, while others look out at them from the middle of the room. Wherever you sit, though, the books form a warm and welcome focal point. The wait staff was kind and attentive, offering honest opinions about the food, while being professional and courteous, and giving us time to really enjoy what we ordered without hustling us. We had the house spciality chicken, the cavatelli (altered slightly to accomodate the vegetarian in the group), and the salmon, all of which were profoundly satisfying. If you get the chance, order the Baked Potato Dumont as an add-on, because I promise it'll be unlike any baked potato you've ever tried. Leave room for dessert, and get the Milk and Honey, the flavors of which were deep, subtle, and memorable. We were also pleasantly surprised by the final bill, which, while pricey, was about half what we'd spent the night before on a meal only half of us found enjoyable. The only complaint I had would be reserved for the music, which was loud and felt out of place. Something a little less dancy, maybe, and a little more 40s/jazzy, might have been more appropriate and less obtrusive. But, apart from that, I have nothing but praise to offer for this amazing dining experience.

the BEST!

By Sarah T |

We had an amazing experience at NoMad. Daniel was incredible and really knows his stuff; from the drinks he brought us to start, to the wine he later paired with our dinner!!! He spoiled us and made us feel like VIPs. We will definitely go back next time we are in Vegas.

Don’t eat there

By 173robt |

The setting is amazing, however the food and service are well below par for the cost. Wouldn’t waste time eating in there again, but the bar area looked nice for a drink

NoMad=NoWay

By GoodFoodIsWhatIsGood |

So much wrong, and not much right. Sadly this review will not be good. First-drinks and a glass off wine is extremely expensive before dinner. A gladdest of white wine cost $22.00. With the prices this high, this place better be outstanding. IT IS NOT!! The restaurant itself is nice space, a dark library. Too bad the music is loud (My childhood tells me it should be quieter) but the music does not match the environment. The seat quite uncomfortable, but worse, the restaurant wants to be very high end, make the there seating and table high end. IT IS NOT!! The food is a bit above average, there is much better food around LV. You will probably be shocked by the price, and if the food matched the cost it would be ok. It did not. Uncomfortable seats, loud music and not the best service, and then the food is average to good. Sorry-I would spend my money somewhere else. Service was spotty and we waited a long time between a shared steak tartar app and the dinner. Nobody came by to say anything. The extremely pricey wine list was ok, but the list was not very large and few bottles around a fair price. $200/bottle of red is not the average price. You will see. The desert came and the carrot cake was so disappointing it was shocking. But it ended the meal as it began, not impressive but the check reminded me of this high cost. If you really want a high price dinner, please go elsewhere. My guess you will agree with this review.

Wonderful restaurant experience

A wonderful restaurant experience. Incredible setting under all those books. Daniel our waiter was fantastic. We loved it

Excellent experience and will be back.

By Nancy S |

The fried artichokes were amazing. Please do not miss out on those. My sea bass was absolutely incredible. My husbands NY strip steak was only decent. The mac and cheese is also another one to not miss - it was fantastic. The ambiance is spectacular. We will definitely return and both get the sea bass next time!

The most unique restaurant interior

By MrPKI |

It is pricey and limited space, but worth every penny for the unique experience and aura inside the library. It is a real library and you can actually touch and look at the books. They have some unique cocktails and I can see how this could be a great business meeting location as well to close deals!

Go for drinks, pass the food

By Valerie |

Went in for a late night bite. Hostess at the front seemed annoyed and made it a point to let us know that NoMad was a ‘chill’ bar and not wild. Kind of a funny comment but we brushed it off. We ordered drinks and they came promptly. The espresso martini was delicious. For food we ordered the chicken bites and hot dog (topped with truffles and bacon wrapped. They were under whelming and wouldn’t order again.

Disappointing

By David S |

Four couples, my wife and I included, had dinner at NoMad's the evening of 3/3/20. The drinks were good, the salads were good, the main courses were just average and two in our group who had the steak said it was the worse steak they had ever eaten. Another couple had the roasted chicken for two(supposedly their specialty) at $90+ dollars and were not impressed. The desserts were okay. At the end of the meal, we threw in 4 credit cards and said to split it evenly. We have traveled together alot and never asked the waiter to split our the meals by couple. We simply ask to split the bill evenly to make it easier on the waiter. Well...the waiter plops a credit card machine in front of me and shows me what to do in order to split bill 4 ways and then leaves it to each of us to run our card. In short...Ridiculous! We have NEVER had this happen ANYWHERE but here at NoMad's that night. I don't know it the waiter is just plain lazy or what. I considered cutting the tip in half, but I didn't and gave him an 18% tip which he did not deserve. Everything in our group thought this was very unprofessional on his part. During this same trip, we ate at Tao's, Bochon's and Skarpettos and the waiter split the bill evenly for us at each of these restaurants, with no problem. My recommendation to travelers after this experience is to avoid NoMad's. Sorry, just call them like I see them and experience them. Should have called the manager over, but did not want to make a scene. Who knows, the manger may have supported the wait staff and made us run our own cards on their credit card machine.

Very tasty

We had a business dinner in the Nomad restaurant. The food was very tasty and staff were pleasant and funny! Great experience!

Pretentious; Phony; Unqualified Sommelier

By Seattletraveler829 |

The best part of this site is the ambience with old bookshelves holding 25,000 books---if you like old dark libraries. It is not as nice as the LA Athletic Club but still very appealing to bibliophiles. The menu is limited; all items are ala carte (fine but $18+ for macaroni and cheese??). The waitress seemed phony and the worst was the sommelier who was condescending ignorant re: decanting wine to breathe, but worst of all he poured a new bottle of wine into old wine glasses that still contained wine from the first bottle!! We were speechless and should have said something. All wines are $$$-$$$$$$ with a 300-500% markup minimum. We asked his opinion about a $350 wine we chose, and he barely grunted out his reply "it's okay; this one would be better ($1550). He shattered the pretense of this place as fine dining. If you want truly excellent food, service and wines, take your money to Michael's at the Southpoint. This is a truly fine dining establishment! Gaetano's in Henderson is another outstanding restaurant with people who know wines and liquors. Save yourself from superficial at Nomad Library.

A delicious time!

By NotAllWhoWander1416 |

A fantastic restaurant inside a library, what’s a bibliophile not to love? The ambiance was great, with stacks of books and excellent lighting. The drinks were great, and the cocktail menu had a nice variety of both boozy and non alcoholic drinks. For an appetizer I had the burrata, served with delicious bread, sweet figs and salty prosciutto. I had the scallops as a meal, and they were cooked with a great crust served in a delicious sauce. I can’t leave out the incredible waiter we had. Daniel was charming, personable, had answers to all of our questions and was able to offer several suggestions based on what we were interested in. He absolutely elevated the experience my partner and I had here.

Best dinner … Beautiful restaurant

By Jessica S |

Wow! The restaurant is gorgeous, service was exceptional and our meal was delicious! Upscale secret library with great lighting to create a fun ambiance! Popovers and Lobster Mac & cheese… you must!

Perfect meal

By SactoGal |

Absolutely a perfect meal. Quiet too. Excellent service. Thankfully the portions were perfect for a hotel wherein you are not going to take home a doggy bag. I could have eaten more of everything, but in the end my three courses were just the right amount and I'd change nothing. Spot on chef.

A real gem!

By MigDriver |

We like to go to the NoMad library when we are in Las Vegas - the big draw being the wine cellar and the meat-centric menu. They are a central cellar for high-end wines for MGM properties in Las Vegas (according to a general manager we talked to on a previous visit) and always has an incredible selection. If you don’t mind talking your time with the list you can always find something amazing for a (Las Vegas) reasonable price. Don’t expect any insightful help making your pick though (See below about the sommelier). The food is a solid 4.5 out of 5. Always ‘elevated’ to a reasonable degree and reasonably priced (for Las Vegas). Service is good, although it seems like the waitstaff has too many tables to cover per person. There is always someone who stands out on the staff - this time it was Eric, who was always there at the right moment, and had a remarkably great attitude. The biggest disappointment continues to be the sommelier. He’s been at NoMad for our last 2 visits and is simply incompetent. Which I don’t say lightly. I wouldn’t usually be so hard on a sommelier. These days (especially in Las Vegas - for reasons I don’t completely understand) diners can’t assume that somms will know much about the list. But! This somm is actually ‘dangerous’ because (in his quest to sound knowledgeable, I think) both times he’s served us he has tried to steer us to other wines of very different styles - that he said he heard another diner say they liked - that aren’t nearly as good (or targeted at our food selections) as what I’ve selected. To have a cellar like this and such a clown for a sommelier is a real shame. And I think it hurts sales of the more expensive wines.

Disaster avoided

By Renee P |

We had reservations for 4, got seated on time and loved the library atmosphere, comfy booth with great ambiance. Drink order with salads to start, which is when it went off the rails. Drinks came, delicious and creative. Salads never showed up!Before you know it, the entrees were served? Oops, oh well , I guess we skip that course? Only problem was that my steak was well done , not medium rare. At this point we are not very happy, as you can imagine. The manager, Christian Dinello stepped in and made it all better! New steak done to perfection, a glass of Pinot for my wait, and comped a round of drinks for the table! He apologized profusely, and handled a bad situation expertly! We left happy and grateful for his attention to our dilemma. Thank you Christian, we will be back!

Dinner by the book

By mukilteomike |

The library is a wonderful setting for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately, pop music was blasting away, completely battling the vibe. We went on Monday and got the roasted chicken dinner for two. Truffles, Foie gras, brioche, apples, sweet potatoes, all stuffed into the chicken or gracing the plate. Phenomenal. It's the best chicken I've ever had. Half price wine was a nice addition and the French Pinot paired perfectly.

Hugely disappointing

By RyguyC |

Service was slow, the waiter didn't ask once whether we were enjoying our meal (probably they know better than to ask in this place), they forgot to bring our bread (and didn't bother to bring it even after they realized), they charged us $69 for the filet when it is listed at $65 on the menu, I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it arrived well done (it was also butterfly cut - what kind of mcdonalds cook butterflies a filet?), the $10 virgin cocktail was literally a glass full of ice with a quarter cup of beverage, and the bolonese was luke warm and bland. I know it's vegas and everything is overpriced, but for $150 our meal was a total ripoff. The ambiance is the only reason to visit, but don't bother getting food, just go for drinks.

Spectacular Meal

By GPaCalgary |

We were here for a wedding. The pre-meal bar service was extremely professional. The service during the meal was above reproach. The food was fabulous. What more could we have asked for? The prices here are fairly high, but based on our experience, they are well worth it.

Fantastic all the way around! Highly recommend!

By traveljunk9972 |

Food, service and atmosphere were superb. Absolutely the best. The decor makes it look like you are eating inside an old, huge, library. 5 Star service was impeccable. Allow yourself 2 hours to fully enjoy the experience.

NoMad definitely brings a great dining experience from beginning to end.

By Steff A |

With $$$ restaurants on the Vegas Strip, my expectation is a memorable dining experience that goes beyond the cuisine...NoMad delivers... NoMad Ambiance & Service: The open room dining area is absolutely gorgeous. Designed to appear like a two level library/study in a massive mansion complete with thousands of books adorning the walls. Dark brown wood and burgundy red is the color theme in the walls, booths, and chairs to give a classy vibe. The three tiered chandeliers are attractive and the dim lighting makes for an intimate experience. The service was $$$ level with a head server and their assistants checking on the table frequently. Drinks were always fresh and the appetizers and intricately prepared main courses came out of the chicken timely. NoMad Cuisine: The Nomad roast chicken for two is a signature dish and I understand why: "stuffed with foie gras, black truffle & brioche; dark meat friccasse & sauce suprême" these are a few of my favorite things. Delicious and rich in flavor. The kanpachi ceviche and foie gras torchon were flavorful starters. The creamed kale with the extra egg was my favorite side dish. I sampled my friend's pastas and that cavatelli was delish, love that truffle. The milk and honey dessert dish was pleasing to the eye and taste buds and is popular for a reason. Lastly, of course they serve the boutique Elyx vodka in one of their signature cocktails for two the "coq-tail" The Elyx vodka is best served in copper drinking vessels and this copper rooster is great for social media posts. The cocktail itself was refreshing and divine. Too easy to get a quick buzz. It's made for two but I took it down myself because I was feeling extra. Overall, this is a new go to resto on my list when I want to get dressed up and open up the credit card. NoMad definitely brings a great dining experience from beginning to end. Social Media friendly af, great service and savory cuisine will bring me back. Enjoy! =)

Spectacular setting - the bar and the huge buddha

By SyracuseSicilyiIsAMust |

Booked in advance which turned out to be a good idea. The place was fully booked. I have been to many countries and eaten fine Asian food. NoMad was fully competitive to Hong Kong restaurants. Service was excellent and we enjoyed a fine family evening. Can recommend. Price level also within normal reach - not over priced

Beautiful

By AR-BRAY |

We went here for a birthday celebration. I love the theme of the restaurant. I'm a huge book lover and it just made so relaxing and cozy. The food was very good. And the cotton candy dessert was adorable. The staff is very attentive and kind

Disappointed given expectations

By Philip W |

Very disappointing considering the overall reviews this restaurant garners. We were expecting an exceptional evening but what we got was mediocre at best, and given the price point, less than acceptable. We were 2 couples, and both ordered the “house specialty” of prime rib ($150.00 per couple). What we each got was 2 very thin slices of roast beef and a cup of goo - which was purportedly mashed potatoes. We did add a vegetable that was good. The service was efficient though perfunctory. The restaurant setting is actually wonderful and very welcoming - floor to ceiling books, hence the name - but the food doesn’t match the ambiance. We had much better dining experiences in Vegas.

Great food. Great aesthetic.

Great food and ambiance. Would only suggest a little less salt in the nomad chicken. Had it in New York, do not remember it being so salty. Thanks.

Cannot wait to go back

By AandN08 |

Right off the bat, I love the atmosphere here. The decor is awesome and the staff were all outstanding! One of my friends has a long list of allergies and is a bit of a light weight... and the servers not only went out of their way to figure out some tasty options for them.. but they also had the bartender mix up special drinks for them to try that would not effect his allergies nor push him over the edge alcohol wise. Our server, Daniel, was spectacular. He was the perfect balance of being attentive but not intrusive. In addition he was personable and had a great sense of humour. I have no doubt that if I had showed up and just asked for them to make all my decisions for food and drink, I would pleasantly satisfied. Because we knew were going to a steak house the following night we went for the chicken. This was probably the best chicken I have ever had... normally I would not even consider getting chicken at a restaurant... but boy am I glad we did. The chicken is for two, but honestly could have easily fed four... It was so tasty and juicy and even tasted great cold the next day! I am still thinking about that dish. The drinks were also very tasty, pricey.. but hello Vegas... We had a very long meal here... I am surprised they did not try to get rid of us sooner...we never felt rushed or like we had out stayed our welcome. The only downside was dessert. We got some coffee related one (I cannot remember what it was called) and a chocolate cake type one... they were both only 'ok' But we did not come here for dessert. I will for sure be making this a normal spot for future Vegas visits.

Overpriced Subpar Food in a Beautiful Environment that Might Trigger Allergies

By Adam P |

I think the title of this review says it all. The food at The Nomad Library was subpar at best. The only dish that stood out was the side of Lobster Macaroni and Cheese. The restaurant is beautiful, but immediately after entering my dust allergy took hold. The bread was interesting, but the rest of the meal including the Oysters Rockefeller, Filet and Pork Chops were not great. The Lobster Mac was good, not great. Overall there are much better options in Las Vegas. This was definitely a one-time trip and is not something I would recommend.

Saw this place on IG and it looked like something out of a movie that we had to try. Came in on a Saturday night, and it was surprisingly not super busy (about 20% of tables were empty around 9pm). PROS • the library setting is very cool and authentic looking • even though there is music playing, it's quite easy to hear each other speak • we were seated in about 5 mins (we had a reso and recommend you make one) • complimentary bread is delicious • most of the staff were quite pleasant, professional, and attentive • tuna tartar is made at your table and is quite delicious • quite accessible to walk to if you valet (you don't have to walk 10 mins through a hotel or casino) CONS • overall everyone serving us was great, but our actual server didn't seem super attentive. • the wait time between dishes or drinks can be brutal. For instance, it took 10+ mins to get our drinks and 20+ mins just to get our dessert. This was at about 10:25pm and the restaurant was probably 50% empty. • cocktails are good, but they pile an obscene amount of ice on top which makes it impossible to even stir your drink • some of the apps and sides were pretty decent (tuna tartar, fruits de mer, mac and cheese), but the mains were bland (gnocchi and NY steak) Overall, it's probably a good place to come with a bunch of friends before going to a nearby show, but we probably won't return for dinner.

This is the way it's supposed to be...

The room sets the tone - a sumptuous library, vaulted ceilings, retro lighting. Charming! Oysters can be hit & miss, but not here - the mignonette - superb! Scallops with a hint of lemongrass was marvelously delicate. Paired with Roero Arneis - show stopping! Then Lady Gaga Jazz. Good on ya, NoMad!

Concert weekend

By Don-Clara M |

The food was excellent along with the great service and attention. No complaints happy to have had a great experience.

Classy date night

By shubsens |

We had never been and went one night and it has great atmosphere and a great place for a date night. We shared the fried chicken and had a couple of drinks while live music was being played. We would go back when back in vegas.

Great restaurant in Vegas!

By Casey Lynn |

This restaurant is set in a library. The food is amazing and the bar scene is also great. The restaruant is loud, (when we were there) but you are sill able to have a great conversation. I will definitely come back. Service was only ok but the atmosphere was one of a kind!

Finally my Second Home and to-go Restaurant right near by

By Franz K |

I have to admit I will be biased with this Restaurant as it is the 3rd Location now they opened and I am deeply in love with the two other locations. So it is the 4th day since the Nomad Restaurant opened in Las Vegas at MGM Park after intensive renovation. Walking inside, to the left you find the more vibrant Nomad Bar and to the right, the Nomad Library Restaurant. Nice welcoming and with my request having a cocktail at the bar first, I was shown a smaller bar inside the Restaurant. That is a nice touch as it is not as busy as the bars at the other two locations. So some of the "known" drinks, like the Sippy Cup made me feel at home right away. Some of the newer drinks I guess cater more to the Las Vegas clientele. So far so good, right in time for our reservation the hostess picked us up and guided us to our table! I think with this lay out there is nothing like good or bad seats in the restaurant. Menu for the most part looks familiar to the other two locations. New is the Martini trolley to prepare Cocktails table side! Nice touch! New is also the Steak Tartare prepared table side. I guess it shows the affiliation with Eleven Madison Park. Simply spectacular was the Crudo of Hamachi. Screaming with freshness and flavor served with Little Gem Salad Leaves, just perfect. And of course the Chicken, a must. However, here in Vegas it is served not as a two-part course like at the other locations. Wish they would adapt this here too in the near future. Also Popovers instead the home made and changing flavored bread are the only two points of criticism. Desserts are like any other location simply good! Service was friendly and effective and the interactions with the Management and guests make you feel at home from the beginning! Over all I am very pleased and happy to have the Nomad Restaurant here in Vegas and I am eager what they invent in creativity each time we come back as we experienced in NY and LA over the years!

A massive food vs expectation nightmare

By 2Apostles |

Perhaps I had expected too much. I thought that Daniel Humm was involved in this operation, if he is, then I would respectfully suggest he gets more involved. I hate criticising waiting staff and so I won’t, it’s not their fault that this place is all wrong. But, the food is dreadful. Just dreadful. This is Weatherspoons standard at Ramsay pricing and not very good at all. Less than ripe tomatoes with the burrata and the worst fish stew I have had anywhere in the world. Literally. Just bad. Undercooked. Poor sauce. Just dreadful. I am lucky that I got my favourite vineyard wine. And that has made this okay. But please, don’t come here for the food.

5 star all the way

Dinner at Nomad is an experience. From start to finish the service is top notch, the food is creative and amazing. Great for business or a romantic dinner - don’t miss this one.

Awesome Atmosphere

By Hardrocker8888 |

I originally had a reservation just for myself. But my friends wanted to join me. They were able to change my reservation last minute to accommodate my friends. The entrance was awesome when we walked in the dining area. They staff were friendly. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs. I ordered the scallops and baked potatoes. I enjoyed them both. I would definitely eat here again when I am back in town.

Almost a great Restaurant

By deansaafdn |

This is a great ( although somewhat overpriced ) restaurant in terms of service and atmosphere but the food is good but not as good as comparable restaurants . It is also quite pricey - their signature dish Roast Chicken for two ( stuffed w fois gras ) is $96 . Drinks were fabulous

Wonderful 21st birthday dinner

By Lawrence R |

We went to the Library at Nomad for our daughters 21st birthday and it was amazing. The bartender made her a special drink in a tiki . <y son and other daighter had the american wagu for two. My wife and the birthday girl had some vegiterrian sides and I had a modified seabass. Since I don't do shell fish they prepared it differently. All of the food was excellent, however, what really set it apart was the excellent service. Out server was Daniel and he may have been the best waiter that we ever had. If not the best certainly in the top 5 or 10. The food wasn't cheap but for the Las Vegas strip I thought it was very reasonable.

Best meal I've ever had

By Kara J |

Had an absolutely amazing three course meal here. Our waiter was Daniel, who was amazing. He gave us great recommendations for cocktails, answered all our questions about the menu, and was just a joy to meet. We split the burrata (fresh and creamy), I had the filet (so tender and LOVED the bone marrow crust), my partner had the scallops (fork tender and perfectly cooked), and we split the "coffee" dessert (perfect blend of flavors and textures). Just a wonderful meal! I would absolutely return!

NoMad Vegas Style

By Thomas K |

NoMad is within the former Montecarlo now MGM Palace. It is a spectacular restaurant set within a huge 3 story library. Despite its huge size, it is very cozy. Try the signature chicken and the array of desserts. its an elegant place, the only downside are other patrons who don't respect a minimum dress code, are loud and disrespectful. Bravo to the staff and managers.

Perfect place for a romantic dinner

By TampaDocFoodie |

The Nomad did not disappoint. The place is gorgeous. Easily one of the most beautiful and romantic restaurants in Vegas. I was having dinner with my significant other and we were appreciating the ambiance when we found out the people at the table next to us were having a drama-filled evening. We mentioned it to our waitress and were promptly moved to a much better table. The general manager came over to apologize and to make sure we were pleased with the new table (we were). We had an incredibly friendly waiter who took great care of us. Service was on point the entire evening. Food was extraordinary, even though the menu is kind of limited. I started with a Gazpacho soup that was easily the best one I've had. My partner had a beet salad that she loved. For a main entree I had the aged bone-in sirloin which was outstanding. So tender I hardly needed the knife. Perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. We did not try any desserts as we were too full, but the ones we saw at adjoining tables looked great. All in all, a fantastic dinner at The Nomad Restaurant. I have never been to the original in NYC but can't wait to try it now.

Valentine's day wonder!

By Curious446526 |

Happy Valentine's day! NoMad Library is adorable! Love the ambiance. Our server was great! Food was good, though there were a couple dishes that were "experimental" rather than flavorful. Overall, a great time and experience.

Apparently a "reservation" is not what you think it is...

By Matt C |

This is not a traditional review because unfortunately I never even got to go to the restaurant. My wife and I have visited the Park MGM a few times but have never been to the Library. She very much wanted to check it out, so for the trip we just completed I made sure to get us a reservation. My reservation was made a couple of months in advance as I do like to plan ahead make the most of our time. Well, a few days before we were to leave for our trip the restaurant contacted me by text and let me know that "due to a private party we will not be able to honor your reservation". I was pretty insulted by this - I made my reservation months in advance but apparently someone else was more important than my wife and I. I am not really sure what the point of a reservation is if it is only honored when it is convenient? To top things off - I responded to their message with my frustration (politely mind you) and got no response back from them at all. That was adding injury to insult in my opinion, don't even bother responding when one of your patrons is upset because you screwed up. I'm almost 60 years old and I've NEVER had anyplace ever tell me "sorry, we've decided to accommodate someone else instead of you". I guess I've always just assumed that this wasn't the kind of thing anyone would do? I guess I was wrong.

It was an experience

By Michele |

Great atmosphere, dinner, and service. I had the Fisherman Stew and my daughter had the Fillet. Crusty bread can with the stew and you could cut the fillet with a fork.

Good food, well presented but pricey.

By Floyd B |

My wife and I had dinner at the NoMad Restaurant during our recent trip to Las Vegas. The decor is a library with book-lined walls. The room is not quiet and the musical choices seemed more fitting of a trendy room with modern decor. The food was well prepared, well presented and tasty but given the price I was not blown away. I have had equally good cuisine for less money. The wine list is extensive, with many good choices and a sommelier to assist. The wait staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The courses could have been served at a more leisurely pace but we didn't feel overly rushed. Overall there are many establishments in Las Vegas we have preferred and we're not likely to return. Nevertheless the quality of the meal was enough to earn my 4 stars. (Though we didn't try them, there are old school choices like lobster thermidor and baked Alaska on the menu. Don't see those dishes often any more).

Probably a one-time visit

By Heather |

I started with the caprese salad which was delicious, then had the crab carbanara which had a good flavor and fair amount of crab, but I agree with other reviewers, the food came out warm, not hot. The island time drink was more floral than I thought it would be and the limited drink menu was disappointing. The server and gentleman who refilled water glasses were both nice and polite, however the server was not very attentive. This is certainly not a place for a quick meal.

Nomad Bar Las Vegas

By BobsieStar |

The Nomad brings an upscale experience to what is a very good mid range resort at the Park MGM. Only the bar was open at the time of the visit, so kind of made it my home for the next few days. Great cocktail selection and bar snacks serve red by vert attentive and friendly bartenders... The decor is elegant, warm and inviting, very dark and moody but comfy. It’s a welcome change from other places on the strip and a premium experience. A great collaboration and can’t wait to try the full service restaurant and the rooms at the nomad on my next visit!

Tasty Eats, Fun Vibe

By Boskk69 |

We dined here before a show, and the waiter, who was fantastic, confirmed when we needed to get going, and managed to that. The bread, fluffy with some cheese baked in, was delightful, and the wifey and I shared a truffle baked potato which was exquisite. My wife is gluten free, and when they brought out the tater, realized their error, made one GF, and added some truffles. :) The seafood tower was fun and different, highlighted by a crab salad and a whipped lobster tarragon fluff. The library setting was a lot of fun. All in all, highly recommended.

One of the Best Library Rooms

By TempleBob |

We chose NoMad based on our Concierge's recommendation. We had a big day of touring and wanted something close. NoMad was a fine dining experience. A signature dish is the roasted chicken for two along with Ridiculous Mac and Cheese. A whole chicken prepared to melt in your mouth. I typically will not order chicken out, but this was something to experience. Service was fantastic.

Worth trying it once with unique ambience and setting

By Geminican |

The ambience/decor/design is what sets this restaurant apart. It's a Harry Potter like restaurant. Worth trying it once if you like this type of setting. You are free to read books on the shelf as long as you put it back. The food is comparable to most fine dining's. You can ask them to make suggestions. The service was good just like most fine dining's. Order whatever you like from the menu, you won't go wrong with these types of restaurants. The only drawback is the lightning, on the darker side to create the desired ambience for this restaurant. I personally prefer brighter places. If you don't mind this, this can be a great choice on the Strip for fine dining, and a good alternative against restaurants ran by celebrity chefs.

Amazing food and great service

By Fenton M |

I went to NoMad on a night that they were busy and it was okay, but not great. Little misses that took away from the evening, but nothing drastic. As a former restaurant owner, I’d have liked to have known, so I wrote to them. I wasn’t looking for anything, I just wanted them to be aware. Brandon Laterveer the manager, was AMAZING. He invited me back as his guest. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he insisted. My wife and I went back and Brandon greeted us, made sure the service and food was impeccable. It was an amazing experience and what Brandon did speaks volumes of who and what NoMad is. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an incredible meal with terrific service in a really nice setting. Have the Ridiculous Mac & Cheese for sure.

Amazing ambience and food for a special occasion

By Lior N |

Can't recommend Nomad Library enough! It is definitely pricey but it is so unique and delicious that it is well worth it for a special occasion. The service was impeccable, food was special and delicious, and ambience is unbeatable.

Amazing place, service and food

By Musiclover526 |

WOW, what a lovely dining experience! The huge library setting was so romantic and just beautiful! The service was exceptional, we lacked for nothing and were constantly checked on without being invaded by being over checked. The food was absolutely amazing, my husband had the scallops and I had the Sea Bass. Both were perfectly cooked and the sauces were outstanding, So glad we tried this and will happily go back any time!

Awesome

By Rodolphe D |

We had dinner in this restaurant. First of all the room is just amazing ! Real huge library with more than 20000 books. Then it was the new menu for spring and we have tested /tasted the roast chicken with foie gras truffle and vegetables that was amazing ! The baked potato and salad as well. Really try this new restaurant !!!

Wonderful Vegas re-interpretation of the NYC Original...at a price...

By LHOVancouver |

Good reproduction of food and ambiance of the NYC hotel/Restaurant. Chef Humm should be pleased. But pricey even for the Strip. Staff friendly. Try the Bar for a cheaper Menu. See review. Steak and Duck are the standouts. Easy booking on Opentable. Good luck and enjoy

No Fuss, No Muss

By NikkoHenderson_NV |

We were expecting a lot out of NOMAD given its reputation in LA and New York and its Eleven Madison pedigree. It was a real hot and cold experience. The room was a beautiful two story library with excellent lighting but the music was way too loud. Our server was friendly and attentive, but the sommelier's MO was too sell the most expensive bottle of wine with minimal education or understanding your customer's taste preferences. The food, while mostly very good, lacked the sophistication and innovation of its pedigree although you could see peeps of a higher influence. Overall, the dining experience and food was very good but I'm not sure they justify the price. And turn the music down!

Disappointed and Hungry

By Imaeyen N |

Beautiful library. Other than that we had an unfortunately awful experience. The table we requested wasn't available. We waited 15 minutes for drinks. And, we left hungry (before a concert) after being there for an hour and fifteen minutes with our food nowhere in sight. Server kept telling us it was coming. The manager finally came over and told us he forgot to enter our food order on time. Extremely disappointed.

Underwhelming experience

By Laughman1984 |

Ambience is great but the service and food were very mediocre. Think Golden Corral meets Red Lobster. Our server was fine out of the gate when the place was dead and then as soon as business picked up he was all but non existent. We had steak and salmon which were fine but not spectacular. Salad was underwhelming, shrimp cocktail was basically shrimp cocktail so you can't screw that up. We were there for a birthday and they completely blew off doing anything for that after they were notified on the reservation and told to the hostess once again after our arrival. Like I said the atmosphere is great, but paying over $200 with tip was not worth it. Many other places in Las Vegas are infinitely better. This was chain restaurant quality.

We wanted to really love this place

By GDH |

We love NoMad in NY and really wanted to love this place. We did love the food. It was fantastic. The service, however, was lacking. Our wine and water glasses remained empty. The dessert was so late in coming we asked the server to just bring the check without it. Not great for a supposedly first class restaurant. Food - 5 stars, service - 2 stars.

Vegetarians and people with an ounce of heart beware of the horrific suckling pig dish

By Viva Las Vegas |

Looks cool but that's where the positives end. Drinks are ridiculous- expensive and 95% ice. Service was so slow and our waitress seemed miserable to be there. Seats were uncomfortable. The worst was literally losing my appetite over the suckling pig menu item. Can't get that image out of your head. Disgusting! Won't be back.

Hidden Gem

By Laurie |

Fabulous. The atmosphere was fantastic. It’s dark and romantic with wall to wall books. The food was excellent. I had the scallops , husband had the filet, we had the wedge salad. All very good. My husband had a great drink called gentleman’s (can’t remember the rest) . We are headed to the magic show in the library next.

GREAT ROOM - MEDIOCRE FOOD

By Carolyn C |

Like most Vegas outposts of famous New York names ,this pales in comparison to the New York original on food and service execution. For those without the reference point of the New York experience, it’s a great atmosphere with OK food. Still recommend the signature chicken for two roasted with foie gras under the skin.Good list of signature cocktails.

Not great for solo diners

By Dorset_Solo_traveller |

I was staying at the NoMad Hotel and this was the main hotel restaurant so I booked online before I left home, having read online that bookings were essential across Vegas. I also checked the menus that were available online, but I believe they changed after I booked. I am sure that I had seen a lobster starter on the menu when I checked. The first thing to note is that this is not a great restaurant for solo travellers, or people travelling in anything other than couples. This is because so many of the appetisers and main courses (the ones that sound the tastiest sadly) are only available for couples. The one I would have liked the most was the tuna tartare and the serving of this was theatrical - it is prepared from a trolley table-side. The two women sharing it said it was incredible. The other starter options for two were the seafood platter and the oysters with caviar. From the main courses there is a roast chicken or Wagyu beef for sharing, and I would have loved the roast chicken. The meals available in single portions were not as appealing to me, two pasta options, sea bass or four meat options. There were no desserts on the menu or on the website but when I asked the waiter said there were, so I decided to choose the foie gras starter as my main course followed by a dessert. When the dessert menu arrived there were three choices, a baked Alaska prepared table-side, a milk chocolate mousse, and the option I chose, vanilla ice cream with coffee granita. Both my choices were good, the foie gras arrived with a pear compote to cut through the richness of the foie gras, however I had also ordered a citrusy cocktail which did this nicely. The ice cream was also very good, but quite a large portion. I would not eat here solo again, or recommend anyone else travelling solo to eat here. And as the menu in NoMad Bar was limited to bar snack type foods, you would be better going to one of the restaurants in ParkMGM if you are looking to eat in the hotel.

Great place

By Michelle731 |

The NoMad bar is one of my favorites in the country. The ambiance is simply wonderful. The service was perfect. They have a nice food and drink selection with signature cocktails.

Hidden Treasure!

By kmauve |

Nomad was such a unique find in flash Las Vegas. Hidden in the back of NewYork New York casino, this incredible restaurant hides behind giant doors which opens up to a grand library. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling books line the entire restaurant with rich leather and wood tables filling the floor space. We were greeted by a sweet hostess who brought us to our table; a love book, roses and hand written note celebrating our anniversary. Our waitress was knowledgable and super friendly. Having conversation with us rather than just telling us what's on the menu. The drink menu is extensive and their dinner menu is well varied. We shared the seafood tower (delicious and a good mix of everything) and their signature truffle stuffed roast chicken dish with a side of brussel sprouts. All incredible! Full of flavour, cooked to perfection and just the right amount. They surprised us with a house-spun orange creamsicle cotton candy which we devoured in minutes. A wonderful, romantic evening thanks to NoMad.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent food!

By DomCanada |

Loved our meal here! Went before seeing Gaga's show and this is one of the most beautiful/instagramable restaurants I've ever visited. And the quality of the food matches the interior. We especially enjoyed the Fruits de Mer seafood tower which has all of the raw bar options in bite size amounts - outstanding!

Go to the bar side instead...

By CaliAngie |

We were very much looking forward to this meal. We'd heard rave reviews about the food. I have to assume perhaps the NY location is better. The food here was good but not spectacular. Service was great. The beef was a bit "grey" tasting. The ceviche had great flavor, but the lettuce variety they used actually overpowered(I know that sounds odd, but if you tasted it, you would understand) the taste of the ceviche (so we ate it without the lettuce) The pasta dish was probably our favorite. I look forward to trying out the NY location for a comparison and will try the chicken since many say that is their best dish. I later saw the menu for the bar side and I think it might be easier for resi and trying out a few more dishes.

What a decor ;-)

By Nolofinwe |

Fantastic place to celebrate my 65 birthday. The decor is magic and we had a waiter who was wonderful. The food was very good, not excellent though but very good. Wine was perfect chosen from our waiter/maître D. My dream to be locked down there with all these books and nice food 😎. The only minus point is we don’t think music is necessary there. First a bit too loud and if, then some easy listening or piano but not pop music. Pity

Flawless, heartfelt service

By Maria S |

Visiting from Singapore so we saved the NoMad for our one special blowout. We were also celebrating our anniversary which we indicated in our reservation confirmation. They went above and beyond to make the evening memorable for us. First, we were always greeted by name. Second, they left us a deck of playing cards on the table and had us choose a spirit bard and three mood cards which the bar team would interpret into a cocktail. Such fun!!! Food portions were sizeable and satisfying. A special shout-out to Andre who was so genuine and fun and took care of us. Everything was just spectacular.

Fabulous meal, and ambiance!!

By bkr82 |

My wife and I celebrated my 40th birthday with dinner here. The ambiance is really cool, almost like a movie set. We had three delicious soft cocktails (one ginger ale, two fruity). The popovers were so delicious. I had the file mignon which was excellent. My wife enjoyed her meal and is a vegetarian. We also enjoyed the baked alaska dessert. The service was top-notch. Our server had a vast knowledge of the menu and was readily able to recommend vegetarian options for my wife. We had reservations at 5 pm right when they opened up, which was wonderful. I'm so glad we dined here and for my special birthday dinner we were both so pleased!

Don't go for the chicken anymore

By LynnSchak |

I agree about the chicken. We had it last year and it was amazing. This year, meh. I had no idea someone could trademark a recipe, and this version just is not it. However, the hamacki beet salad is still delicious.

Good food, great ambiance

By Traveler4124 |

The food was good, but the atmosphere was excellent. We always have at least one “higher-end” meal per Vegas trip, and we were staying at NoMad, so we figured we would have dinner with them as well. We had a reservation and were seated promptly in a half booth in a cozy corner. The service was excellent to start. Our server was quite friendly, and very helpful navigating the wine list and menu. We settled quickly on their signature dish, the roasted chicken for two. As advertised, this dish takes a little extra time, but it was well worth it and we would highly recommend it. It was after our meal where things went downhill a bit. Our waiter disappeared for quite a long stretch after we were clearly finished, leaving us stuck at the table for a good 10-15 minutes waiting on the check. In all, we had an excellent meal in a beautiful setting and would definitely recommend the restaurant. Given all of the other fine dining options in Las Vegas, however, I don’t see us returning soon.

One of the best

By Julia O |

A soaring, clubby room stuffed with real books & bookshelves, heavy on charm & traditional restaurant service & values, NoMad is an appealing, comforting addition to the Las Vegas restaurant scene. Just steps from its valet parking at the NoMad hotel, contained in the Park MGM (which, despite its name, is not just a garage), the NoMad itself exudes a quiet, sophisticated charm & the restaurant reinforces that. Tables are quietly over staffed (head waiter & many assistants), sommelier is forthright & perfectly opiniated; signature dishes are presented with flair and not too much presumption. Soundtrack of 60s hits sets a soft undertone so there’s a chance of a real conversation. Hot/cold oyster presentation was so good, despite the fact that the unusual wooden, round serving vessel, full of hot rocks and ice, pained the waiter’s biceps (must have weighed 4 pounds.) Baked Alaska has added pear inside & out for flair & surprise. Mixed grilled mushrooms was a quality, earthy side; less so, the 1/2 baked potato with heavy truffle oil & parm. The signature roasted chicken was well done, but honestly better without the extras stuffed under the skin. At the NoMad bar across the hall, unusual signature cocktails, about $17 each, were enjoyable & expertly mixed; staff there friendly & charming as well. Food was available for those wanting to make just one stop. Dinner could be under $100 for two or far, far more; the pineapple cotton candy was gratis for a birthday celebration. No view. Comfy velvet & leather seating. The Vegas restaurant scene is crowded, but this could merit regular visits for the oysters & more exploration of the intriguing menu.

Before the concert

By Tonyb0628 |

Me and my wife visited this place before the Aerosmith concert. Service was good! Oysters were great! But then my pork chop came out completely RAW! They tried too accommodate us but we had too leave for concert! HUNGRY!! Probably won’t return

Great food at high prices

By SF88 |

Amazing bar tenders creating avant garde cocktails: some we tried were good others were medicinal in a effort to be 'out there'. Great crab cakes, appetizers and salads, but the wine list was crazy: at $80 for an average Sauvignon Blanc, this is clearly a place where salesguys go when on business expenses. Even some white wines were $400 plus (and I'm not talking Chateau Yquem). I'd be inclined to return if there was a better range in the wine list.

Great Dinner!

By Longhorn1 |

We went to Nomad Library for an early dinner before a concert at T-Mobile. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but we had a great experience. The food, atmosphere and service there was amazing. By far one of our best meals in Vegas! During COVID they are serving a more limited menu, but there were enough options for us. We had the fried artichoke, brussel sprouts, baked potato and chicken. Everything we had was really good. I would probably not order the brussel sprouts again, but I would definitely order everything else again. Joel, our waiter, was very good. He was engaging and happy to make strong recommendations for us. All those we encountered helped us to feel welcome. The library room you eat in looks massive, but feels like a cool space.

Stunning room, service to match.

By Michael U |

Equal or better than the Bar in terms of geniality, Will Guidara's Make It Nice ethos evident from podium to paying the check, it was after a quick description of artwork in the lobby that a curved leather booth was offered, posh cushioning and supple surface offering comfort for the next two hours that began promptly with complimentary Gruyere Cheese Popovers served with a ramekin of salted Butter. Again sticking to signatures for the evening’s back-nine, a captain plus several servers and bussers making sure guests are never for want, it was perhaps twenty minutes after seating that Duck Liver marbled with Cherries arrived, flavors reminiscent of Eleven Madison Park 2008 rekindled by peerless technique and sweetness balanced cleverly with a brushstroke of lightly-salted Mustard Seeds. Waiting another forty minutes for NoMad’s infamous Chicken, a dish $18 more expensive in 2019 than when first tasted seven years prior, fans and first-timers alike will be hard-pressed to name a more “Restaurant-worthy” piece of Poultry than this version perfumed by Truffles and Foie Gras, the fact that Legs and Thighs also arrive complete an added bonus while a Salad of Beans and Bitter Greens serves well in its role as a palate cleanser between bites. Further impressed by Side Dishes, small in portion but far more fairly priced than those at Bavette’s or other Sin City Steakhouses, it was after devouring every bite of Creamy Corn and heavily truffled Potato that Dessert menus were presented, Milk & Honey still a standout nearly a decade after its invention thanks to the nostalgic remembrance of Honey Nut Cheerios while Carrot Cake and “Cherry” also both dabble in reconstruction with the former tangy more so than sweet and the latter a bit dry in terms of the Cake but otherwise enjoyable with no two bites the same.

Close but missing the mark

By etakss |

Beautiful room. Way too noisy. It is a library but has nightclub type music which makes everyone shout. Music choice is distracting from the setting. Food was mxed - butternut soup was great, scallops and branzino well cooked but a bit bland, mac and cheese was terrible-it was dry and had some burnt pieces like it had been made the day before and then overheated. Of all things the cream spinach was the star. Service is really bad. The staff is nice but slow and not attentive. We waited over an hour between our appetizers and main course. They have a '2 hour' limit for the table but we had barely gotten our main course by 2 hours. Food is over priced but that is Vegas. Tip- turn down your music so that fits the setting.

Excellent Food and Atmosphere!

By ah64fish |

Everything about this meal was great with the exception of the sommelier. It’s the only thing that kept me from giving it a 5, but I would go back. I’ll give them a mulligan and chalk it up to one person having an off day. The Waygu prime rib for 2 was on point!

Disappointing Main Course

We were here with 2 other couples. We all come to Vegas a lot. We all agreed HANDS DOWN that Nomad restaurant and especially the bar was our WORST Vegas experience ever. First of all we waited on our food for over an hour and it was so below average that it was ridiculous . Two of us had the duck which was totally over cooked and over salted with no other flavor except salt salt salt. Other folks got the scallops which were just OK, nothing remarkable, and our last friend had the salmon which arrived 20 minutes after the rest of us already had our food so that was pointless. And he said it was nothing special anyway. The WORST part though was the service. Horrible, rude, inattentive wait staff who were among the most unprofessional we have ever encountered. I’d love for Management to reach out to me personally if they actually give a damn because seriously our group of 6 will NEVER be back to Nomad due to the unprofessional service and wait staff. There are 100s of better restaurants with better service in Vegas so save your time and money and SKIP Nomad altogether. And by the way, if you ask to speak to a manager they literally send over a 12 year old smart ass who has no clue what he’s doing and no true grasp of the Hospitality business. It was bizarre.

Excellent.

By baconrocks |

Excellent experience. Friendly and professional service. Prompt also. The food was so clean, full of flavour and enjoyable. The scallops, the lamb and the filet were all brilliant entrées. The filet was “the best I have ever tasted”. The decor of the restaurant is exceptional and with a trip in itself. Highly recommend. Almost a destination worthy place.

Absolutely terrible service. WAY BETTER OPTIONS IN VEGAS!!

By Steve R |

The bar in the Nomad Library needs to exercise better hiring practices. One of the bartenders there could quite possibly be the WORST bartender in Las Vegas. When you cannot identify customers as they arrive at your bar and serve accordingly, you are in the wrong role. Considering the sheer small size of this bar, one should be able to identify walk up customers as they arrive. If you are simply serving whoever you can see in front of you, rather than identifying who is arriving and when, you are failing, plain and simple. One should not need to wait 20+ minutes while you continuously ignore others than have waited patiently. With SO MANY options in Vegas, this one is definitely one to steer clear of unless they start getting better talent working for them.

All about the books...

By Alyssa E |

The only reason that this gets three stars is because of the books! As continuous Vegas visitors we have our set usual restaurants but wanted to try somewhere new. Hearing all the rave reviews here and being a book lover we were psyched to go for dinner. Unfortunately were sadly disappointed. It was suggested by our server to get the chicken for two, we also ordered the side creamed kale. The chicken presentation was beautiful but the taste was over seasoned and too salty. The creamed kale was okay but over-seasoned with citrus. We didn't go for dessert there we actually opted to go to eat-ly instead. I would advise to go for a drink and eat in eat-ly instead!

Utterly disappointed in the chicken.

By Warmwinds |

I had been dreaming about the famous chicken ever since hearing about it in New York. The foie gras, the truffles, the presentation.... I just want everyone to be aware that they change the incarnations in Las Vegas every few months, and while I am also aware that the original recipe is dead (I think not allowed for trademark reasons), the newest menu has the foie gras and truffles listed as ingredients, so I was hopeful. There was no grand presentation....the cut up chicken is just served in a cast iron skillet with the rice with chorizo and peas underneath. We could not discern ANY foie or truffle taste, so asked our server - she said it is pulverized and mixed with the breadcrumbs under the skin. Totally lost. Now, I want everyone to pay attention to what I just described about the chicken....chicken with saffron rice mixed with chorizo and peas....now what does that sound like? We wish we had been smart enough to figure it out beforehand, but it tasted exactly like....paella. $120 paella. Now you decide if that's what you want to do. We were totally disappointed. The place is lovely. We just wished we had ordered something else.

NOMAD HOTEL IS AMAZING, BUT BREAKFAST AT RESTAURANT WAS NOT

By Vegas Rewards |

I was excited to be invited to stay at the new Nomad Hotel inside the Park MGM. Monte Carlo was always one of my favorite places to gamble. I've been learning how to get FREE room, food shows and drinks and I wrote a free E book about how I do it. We had a $50 free food credit so we used it at the Nomad restaurant and sadly I was a little disappointed with the meal. It was breakfast which we were told was amazing, but the eggs were not hot and the potatoes were a little burned and crispy. I'm not the kind to demand new food or anything so I just ate some and I will only go try again for a dinner. My partner loved the breakfast burrito so that's positive. I have to say that Primrose inside of Park MGM (very close to Nomad) is SO much better for breakfast. The room is awesome and great vibe so I am only speaking about the food. Overall Nomad is a great place to stay and will be going back many times!

Fantastic Meal and Ambiance

By George J |

We had a wonderful meal and returned to enjoy the Jazz show. The menu was simple and delicious. The roasted chicken was to die for. Brian Newman"After Dark" show was amazing. It may have been the night but the audience was full of outstanding musicians whom he called up to play different songs. Can't wait to return and to also try to the hotel.

Overpriced and Underwhelming

By mikesesq |

The ambiance was nice and Service Personnel were excellent at the Bar where I had dinner. The food was mediocre at best and extremely overpriced for the quality. A $30 glass of below average Sonoma Cabernet was served in a tiny glass designed for Chardonnay, and the pour was minuscule. Save your hard earned money and skip this place altogether!

Hogwarts Library, maybe?

By XtinaDunham |

Celebrated our anniversary at The Nomad Restaurant. We had 10:30pm reservations on a Saturday night and were seated promptly, although the restaurant was practically empty by then. The space is spectacular with two stories of floor to ceiling shelves of books. It almost felt like we were at a Hogwarts Library. I think our server said more than 25,000 books were on display, some of them from Rockefeller’s own private collection. We actually pulled a couple out, just to make sure they weren’t “Cragled” on. Sure enough, they weren’t! The only thing I remember about dinner was the puffy bread (delicious!).

No Miss NoMad

By ll123blue |

NoMad is a great restaurant, serving uniquely prepared foods in an impressive classic environment and with extraordinarily knowledgeable staff. The dining room is breathtaking. It is one large two-story library filled with thousands of real classic hardcover books (don’t try to pull out a book or walk up the spiral staircase to the upper level or you will face the consequences.) The chandelier and candlelight illumination is a bit dim, but it is quite romantic. The menu is not inexpensive but worth every penny. I came here with my two adult sons and we shared our dinner dishes. We began with the Madison oysters (3 chilled with mignonette dressing and 3 broiled with breadcrumbs). Both types of oysters were perfectly prepared and delicious. We then had Cavatelli Pasta prepared with black truffle, ricotta, sausage & parmesan cheese. I think this was the best version of this traditional and simple dish I had ever eaten. We also shared a 32 ounce, 80-day dry aged ribeye steak, served with shallot-herb butter an sauce au poivre. All three of us, who are definitely carnivores, were blown away with the quality and taste of this steak. There is a wide ranging drink and wine menu. Service was excellent at all stages from the maître d', to the waiters to the table crew. I would highly recommend anyone staying on the Strip in Las Vegas to try to schedule at least one dinner at the NoMad restaurant.

Terrific place except for the food

By Roger K |

Sat at the Bar on a Tuesday evening and ordered dinner. The En Maison drink was very tasty. Bartender was very efficient and my courses came out promptly in order. The Decor here is unique, terrific ambiance. Shrimp cocktail was pretty good quality and the Giannini salad was delicious. My entree, the Lobster Thermido was pricey and almost horrible. The tail part was not bad but very small, body parts had all kinds of crud in the shell and not edible. Baked potato had cheese melted over it but really was less than average. Chocolate Mousse had no flavor and came with tasteless cookies. Sort of disappointing for me. I have eaten at most of the Restaurants in Vegas as this was my 92nd trip to town. Was expecting more. My bill was $152.63 not including tip.

Great Food & Atmosphere

We came to Nomad for our 50th. Anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. Tasty food with first class service for all staff members.

Quaint setting

Such a unique setting! 20,000 books and exquisite cuisine! The chicken fir two withe foie gras stuffed crispy skin over wild rice was memorable!

I’m speechless

By Shonta |

As a world traveler, I’m not always caught by surprise and in utter shock by the fact that I wish I lived in Vegas to have access to Nomad Library ;). My GOD can I just express my gratitude for the effort, stance, the passion that it clearly took to take my palate into another world of beauty. Yes, this experience was metaphysical in a profound way that I wish I had left over food to store in my luggage to take back to Philly. I actually moved to Philly after coming on a business trip and eating the food which I now live around for 23 years. You guys at the library ROCKED it. I must say Joel is 1 of a kind. He had such a great unsuspecting sense of humor, professionalism and dedicated experience it’s easy to trust him and his recommendations. They clearly have a team approach. The enthusiasm of other staff we interacted with incl the lovely man who served the Tuna Tartar shared his story and made our food with love + happiness. Then the water was never empty at the table, he too smiled, and Chef Phillip was dynamic. I could sense the pride and joy he may be feeling to see a room of happy people making memories, “one bite at a time!” I know you are a reason to return as a destination alone! I see why staff at nomad hotel recommended you all.

Beautiful restaurant, great service

By Zelda |

A lovely atmosphere with soft lighting, live lounge music, and thousands of vintage books! Food was very good and the staff were excellent.

Breathtaking Décor, Incredible Menu. 11 out of 10

By Milena Hrebacka |

Walking into the NoMad Restaurant literally takes your breath away. I stood speechless as I absorbed the dusky beauty of their floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall library décor (all real books) inspired by Beauty and the Beast library. The service staff made us feel right at home, spoke to us with high regard and were honest about their recommendations on the menu and the drinks. Our party ordered the filet mignon, side baked potato, asparagus dish and the pasta starter. Everything was superb. This was the best meal of my life (so far ;) and the asparagus literally had us rolling in our chairs HA! The drinks were very nicely designed, delicious and made for great pictures. Try the Zombie for Two, served in a skull with gold straws and a pineapple topper. Highly, highly recommend.

Great Evening!

By SFGlen |

When we booked a table at the Nomad Library, we figured this would be one of those “gimmick” restaurants with clever décor and mediocre food. Boy. Were we wrong. You enter the room through thick velvet drapes and are presented with a beautiful, dignified “gentlemen’s club library” vibe, with high ceilings, heavy leather furniture, classic woodwork and real bound books – 25,000 of them, we were told. Lighting is dramatic and the impact is immediate, warm and cozy. Wonderful. One subtle standout, by the way, is that seating is well spaced. You don’t feel crammed into the room. Everyone is well spread out, as you would expect in a formal, classic club. The food? It could not have been better. The Heirloom Tomato Salad, served with Mozzarella and a Green Gazpacho dressing, was spectacular – and how excited do you usually get over a salad? My salmon was wonderful too and my partner’s filet was done to perfection. The Chocolate Decadence desert was almost too beautiful to eat but . . . well, it didn’t last long. We’re also going to rave about the service. Our table team was pleasant, efficient, helpful and personable, without being overly intrusive, and even asked if we had any food allergies or were on a timetable because of a show. The meal was perfectly paced, too, and one minor mix-up on the steak temperature was corrected so quickly that we were actually surprised. (The manager even stopped by to apologize for the small error, which was completely unnecessary but nicely done). What a great and memorable evening!

Wedding Reception

By Kimberly |

Our daughter's wedding reception was held here in the cellar- the private dining room. The whole experience was wonderful! From the booking to the actual dinner. Booking was done through the website for the restaurant. Filled out a form and was contacted very quickly. Janay helped us get info about the menu, times available and sent photos of the space. There is a 4k minimum for the room but we met that easily with 23 people. The actual restaurant max sized party is 16 I believe. Since we had 23 we booked the private cellar room. Which was perfect! The room is very private and so we could laugh and talk etc without disturbing any other people in the main dining area. The room decor is very nice. Dark blue walls and wine bottles almost to the ceiling on each end made for a nice ambiance. The table is a long oval and the chairs were comfy. It has a double door entry that they kept closed most of the night. The staff was amazing! And very efficient. They would come in so quietly and bring in plates and take away plates - you almost didnt know they were there. They served quickly and kept up on the water or drinks. You pick all your menu prior to the date. We had as appetizers the heirloom tomato/mozzarella salad and the tuna tartare with toasted bread. These are both served family style but there was plenty for all of us. Both were outstanding. The tomato and mozzarella were balanced nicely with the balsamic and were very fresh. The tuna was also outstanding. The spice balance was perfect. Dinner was a choice of filet, mushroom risotto and a chicken dish. All 3 were raved about around the table. In fact people were sharing the chicken around because it was absolutely wonderful. The filet was one of the best that I have had. Really almost didnt need a knife. It was so tender and everyone's was cooked perfectly. It come with a side of broccoli rabe. Desert was chocolate gelato and a salted caramel tart. Serving size was nice and small - but wow so yummy!!! At the end of desert they offered coffee and tea service. It was nice because they offered that we could take photos in the main restaurant after our dinner was over. We all thought it was a fabulous place to have eaten and spent time with friends and family.

FIVE STARS and More...best in Vegas.

By Harold B |

This is a restaurant that has it all....great atmosphere...a knowledgable staff on every level from wait staff to sommelier and even the bus boy,Andre, stood out...Our Sommelier Christian, was so knowledgable not only about wine...he knew everything about the menu and more...We did engage in conversation with the staff and they were so great...OH and yes....the ceviche was outstanding...our Roast Chicken for two was perfectly prepared and so tasty. ONCE AGAIN this is 5 stars plus...If in Vegas head down to the PARK MGM / NOMAD HOTEL and dine at NOMAD.........you will love it.

Great meal & Nomad Library

By Brian F |

We had a fantastic meal and experience at the Nomad Library last night. Our server, Daniel, was incredible and he took care of us and ensured we were satisfied with everything. Extra care was taken for my wife’s gluten allergy and Daniel communicated with both ourselves and the kitchen to ensure we were pleased. The bread/popover blew my mind. I usually wouldn’t eat much bread before a meal but I had 3 of them. Cocktails were great. We had the zombie for 2 which is served in a skull (not a real skull… a real skull would leak ;)). The fried artichokes were prepared for us and were delicious. We had the prime rib for 2 and it was also great. The potatoes were out of this world. Overall we were very happy with the meal, the environment and the quality of the experience. Thanks to Daniel and the kitchen staff for making it memorable!

Odd experience

By Girzone |

We had 530 reservations but restaurant did not open until 545. Atmosphere was beautiful and our waitress was great. However, service by all staff members fell apart as the evening progressed. And food is not that great.

Inedible.

By Julie P |

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the chicken for two was so salty it was inedible. Yes, the atmosphere was interesting, but I honestly wouldn't pay $10 for that meal, much less pay $120 for half a roast chicken that was just plain bad, plus a cup of smashed potatoes and a cup of greens. I did tell our server and he apologized and took about $50 off our bill, which was nice - we didn't ask for that - but I would never go back to this place. I'm not a picky eater, and don't like to leave bad reviews, but there is no way around this one.

Terrible Service

By Jjac66 |

My wife and I were here with 2 other couples. All 6 of us come to Vegas a lot and we try to stick to the high end restaurants and bars. Nomad is NOT in that category. The bar staff and management were among some of the worst we have experienced in Vegas or anywhere for that matter. Untrained, rude, inexperienced and unprofessional. We will never go back to Nomad. It was a terrible experience all around.

Beautiful setting

By MNRSF |

We went to the Nomad with our kids to celebrate our daughter's 13th birthday. The interior is stunning, just a gorgeous setting that feels like you're walking into a movie. Menu is very limited with very few options. Appetizers were just ok, but entrees were great - the roast chicken is their star dish, and it didn't disappoint. Four rather than five stars - server was not warm, and service in general felt very impersonal; also, I had noted that it was our daughter's birthday on the reservation, and while other tables received a complimentary cotton candy and good wishes for anniversaries and birthdays, we unfortunately did not.

It is serene....and delicious!

By DennisG50 |

Serene is not a word often associated with Las Vegas but the setting in the Nomad restaurant is just that. Surrounded by 25.000 beautifully bound books that cover the high walls the mood is set. The service was seamless. The much appreciated (but rarely seen) perfectly baked popovers were a great bread service opener. The scallops were beautifully presented with baby veggies and melted in your mouth. The marrow crusted filet was perfectly cooked. And the spring pasta offering was green and delicious! Large and well represented wine list completes the serenity. Highly recommended and we will definitely return during our next LV visit.

Dinner before the show at T-Mobile Area.

By Ron G |

We went to Eataly for a pre-show meal but faced crowds and long waits. Wandering through the Park MGM casinos, we stumbled upon NoMad and found seating immediately. Sitting at a high table with high seats and benches, we found it to be very comfortable. The Server was also friendly and attentive. After we enjoyed cocktails, we shared a Ceasar Salad and then had their dry aged beef burger and their pork chop. Food was good, especially the moist, but not under cooked chop. All very satisfying but slightly overpriced.

Just ok

By CarnivoreGunter_TX |

Small menu with limited sides. Even when the place is half empty the service is spotty at best. I’ve about decided that you will not get good service anywhere in Vegas.

Awesome interior.

By LostInTime |

The inside of the restaurant was pretty amazing. It looks like you are eating in the library of an old castle in Europe. The menu was quite limited. I had the prime rib which was just ok. It was pretty plain. The waiter was not the most detailed person in the world and brought the salad and main meal at the same time. Then said that I asked for them that way, which I did not. Overall great interior, average food, and not great service.

Nothing good

By pubmitz |

Went to Nomad to try the supposedly superb roasted chicken. Horrible service. Drinks took so long to get there, on both orders. The chicken was tasteless and over cooked. Stay away.

Disappointing

By Juliet W |

The restaurant was beautiful and we was super excited, the menu sounded lovely but unfortunately the food was vile and for the money we payed was really disappointing We was told the restaurant was fine dining but it definitely wasn’t We had shrimp and chicken (Henry the 8th style) And I’m not one to complain or even write reviews I just don’t want people to be in the situation as us.

Very Disappointing

By ancorme |

Cool atmosphere, but the food is extremely overpriced and lacking in quality and options. Expensive cocktails that were 50% ice and garnish, paired with a rude server were the icing on the cake. Will not return. Trust me, as a frequenter of Vegas, there are so many better options.

Tasty

By Waltj-Seattle |

We ate at the Nomad restaurant for breakfast. The menu has a few options but not a lot. Some of the options are shareable size plates so when you order and not a huge eater think about sharing. We had the pancakes and a side of bacon and a side of potatoes and it filled up my wife and myself. I usually like to add ketchup to my potatoes but the potatoes were so tasty I left them as is. The pancakes had fresh blueberries and very yummy. Service was excellent and the staff attends to your service needs as the coffee and water glasses and cups were never empty. They actually have some outside seating but it wasn’t open for eating during our visit. You also can seat and eat at the bar if you wish. Nomad and The Park MGM does not have a buffet but the restaurant choices will fill you up.

Hit or Miss!

By B J |

-- Interior, as others have pointed out, is really nice :) -- Sea Bass was outstanding! -- Filet was great! -- Seafood tower -- SERIOUSLY, how can the same chef who made the other outstanding dishes even serve the "seafood tower"??!?! It's SO bad. Combinations that are horrible & don't work, in a culinary sense. (Not based upon personal preference... based upon the culinary sense.) And for the seafood tower, outrageously expensive. SO -- as the title suggests, this place is hit or miss. Our server was good, but not very personable. A bit pushy, but in a passive aggressive way. Nothing that "sounds bad on paper" or that you can put your thumb on. But, just something that you can definitely feel. Just didn't feel "the love." I'd say give this place a try, but know what you are getting into. We might go back if we are in the area, but probably only for the sea bass and filet. SKIP on the "raw seafood" as it's subpar & disappointing.

One hell of a bar

By Joel T |

What an amazing bar with an incredible ambiance to get a perfect craft cocktail. We had so much fun here trying new drinks and enjoying the dark, sexy library environment. Stephanie at the Bar is without doubt the most knowledgeable bar tender I have ever met. She took the time to explain to me and my 3 (brand new 21 year old cousins) the history of certain cocktails and Alcohol types. We were absolutely blown away with her suggestions and off the menu cocktails she was making us. Never had a “Scotch Dumpling” or “Scotch Old Fashion with rum” or “Scotch Mule” with spicy ginger and wow were they excellent. Also a big thumbs up to the perfect ” Penicillin” she made for me. None of us could believe we were getting these amazing craft cocktails and a full on history lesson, like I felt like this should have been a tour/excursion we had to pay extra for. Literally I can not wait to go back, Thanks again Stephanie for being so funny, professional and making out night out one we are all still talking about.

Misleading menu information

By Elaine0401 |

Very seldom do I walk out of a restaurant but I did here. I was very excited about eating here since my group had reservations for Cher. I had looked up the menu online and knew what I wanted to order. When we got there a different menu was featured outside the door. We regrouped and decided what everyone wanted. However when seated a third menu was given to us and the entree we had chosen was not on the menu. Prices were high, the restaurant opened late and the hostess staff were not the most pleasant. We were kept waiting with only a few chairs available. We came at 5:30 so many, many tables were open but yet we had to stand after waiting for the staff to open the place. (past 5:30) The different menu was the last straw.

Great start, weak finish

By JARME |

Beautiful restaurant, looks like the coolest library you have ever seen. Interesting cocktail and wine menus. Initially the service was terrific, then got progressively weaker. I had to flag down someone to have our server bring the check. The appetizers were pretty good, entrees and dessert, not so much.

Ultra chic library concept.

By John C H Kim |

Daniel Humm is an amazing chef and cares about the details, Eleven Madison was an amazing experience. I love what he has done with Nomad by creating an elevated comfort food menu. It's like Sunday dinner with the family, but having a Michelin chef prepare it. Every dish was on point and seasoned to perfection. Don't get me started about the wine list, it was excellent and the sommelier was super helpful in selecting us amazing bottles that did not break the bank, but delivered the right flavor profile for our various courses. I'll try the NYC branch next time I'm there.

Fantastic Experience

By morningglory1 |

One of my tests of a bar is to throw the bartender a drink and see if they know how to make it. It's not that I want to mock them--it's just that sometimes you just want that certain drink. In this case, I asked for a Singapore Sling, and viola! made precisely how it ought to be made. Sitting at the bar, I watched as both bartenders did a fantastic job slinging up a variety of beautiful concoctions. And both were friendly, positive, and enjoyable to talk to. Yes, drinks are expensive. But this is not your everyday bar--it's a place to go when you want to treat yourself. Favorite upscale bar that I've been to.

BEST NY STRIP STEAK I EVER had!

By Erica D |

Late night STEAK crave after JANET Jackson show: To my surprise, a NY STRIP STEAK appeared that melted in my mouth, with flavors through out; I also ordered a side fries, while the presentation was lovely, the Fries were too salty. Service quality from the moment I entered remained 5 STAR: Thank YOU TEAM ZACHARY; I'M looking forward to returning.

Under the Radar beauty with food prone to impress

By Michael U |

Now nearly five years since opening, Chef Daniel Humm and partner Will Guidara divested from the project and locations in New York as well as Los Angeles shuttered, NoMaD continues to perform well in Sin City thanks to the boutique hotel’s proximity to T-Mobile Arena plus a dedicated clientele. Opened when Eleven Madison Park was hot off its award as the “World’s Best Restaurant,” décor still striking and service improved under the guidance of Nick Servedio, NoMaD Library offers Dinner from 5:00pm until 10:00pm Thursday through Sunday. Surely an expensive project, though menus prove inaccurate to those listed online, it is thanks to a knowledgeable and well-informed staff that decisions come easy whether one chooses to revisit classics or indulge in seasonal additions. Designed as a looming library with low lighting, as luxurious a space as any in town, it was after a quick description of artwork in the lobby that a curved leather booth was offered, posh cushioning offering comfort for the next two hours that began promptly with complimentary Popovers served adjacent a ramekin of salted Butter. Utilizing a captain plus several servers and bussers who make sure guests are never for want it was perhaps twenty minutes after seating that Duck Liver marbled with Fruit arrived, memories of Manhattan in 2008 rekindled by peerless technique while a Burrata Caprese with Peaches also performs admirably. Next offered a tableside show of Tartare, Yellowfin Tuna tinged with spice glistening atop crispy Rye, NoMad now makes three Pastas in-house daily including one infused with Black Garlic served alongside Asparagus. Squash and Peas. Waiting another thirty minutes for NoMad’s infamous Chicken, “No Diggity” bumping subtly overhead, fans and first-timers alike will be hard-pressed to name a more “Restaurant-worthy” piece of Poultry than this version perfumed by Truffles and Foie Gras while tender Scallops given the “Peas and Carrots” treatment are prepared precisely as they ought to be. Further impressed by Side Dishes, small in portion but more fairly priced than those at Bavette’s or other Sin City Steakhouses, it was after devouring every bite of Broccolini and a heavily truffled Potato that Dessert menus were presented, Milk & Honey still present but upstaged by flaming Baked Alaska and $50 Tiramisu that is shattered with a hammer to yield bitter-sweet brilliance in an array of textures.
