Wow has this place gone downhill.

By J H |

We went for a pre-theater dinner and barely made the show though we arrived two hours before and made it clear we had to leave at a certain time. We ended up just taking a bit or two of dessert and rushing out. Our waiter was a nice guy but both our drink orders were wrong as was our food order. He explained that they didn't have a real bartender just a server making drinks. He did comp one of the drinks but we were finished with the first course before we got the right drinks. No manager ever checked on us and a bored hostess at the front desk didn't look up from her phone as she said have a nice night. It just seemed like a tired, corporate place with no one that cared. We won't be back and that is too bad since we used to enjoy dinner here.

Go for the experience, not for the food

By Vagabond121 |

The food was average, but the service was very good. The cheese course was a good starter, especially with the Italian meats. They were worth the extra cost. The salad and entree were so-so. The chocolate was delicious. This is a good choice for a special experience, but if you're looking for gourmet food, another place would be better. Having said that, my 9 year old granddaughter loved it!

Anniversary Dinner in ATL

By Vicks M |

My boyfriend surprised me with a reservation here for our 2 year anniversary (I have always wanted to come to The Melting Pot) and it was everything I expected it to be! We were visiting Atlanta from Florida for the weekend and this was definitely the cherry on the cake for us! Chris was our server and he was very knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail since it was our first time there. Will definitely be visiting The Melting Pot here in Orlando and hopefully back in Atlanta soon. Thanks!!

Love at first bite!

By Mzbingm |

My husband and I love the Melting Pot, midtown. It's dear to us as one of our first dates was here. Our server at the time was so charismatic that we believe his help, recommendations, and great service helped make an already amazing night better. The food, atmosphere, and service are a perfect combination for a wonderful night out!

Dinner and a Show!

By PKornicer |

Wonderful experience! Won tickets to see Rent and stopped by Melting Pot beforehand. Delicious! The manager was so sweet when we walked in! She had us seated before our reservation and made sure we had no issues with our promotional certificate. Had to ask the server for a few items but overall great job :)

Turned Away for Dessert on my Birthday BC I didn’t Order All 4 Courses

By scubalauren213 |

Be warned: the Midtown location staff and managers can only be defined as pure laziness. A couple weeks ago, my husband made a reservation for my birthday (2/13/2023 - today). He informed the person taking the reservation over the phone we would only be having dessert. They said that was fine but that they still needed a credit card to hold the reservation because it was Valentine’s Day week and that if we cancelled within 24h he would be charged $50 per person. We showed up 5 minutes early at 8:40p but weren’t seated until 9pm. It honestly wasn’t that busy and, like everywhere else in the city, they were probably understaffed. When we tried to order just dessert, the server told us they could not accommodate just dessert and that we’d have to order the only thing on the menu which was a four-course meal. I asked for the manager (yes, I know, like a Karen), and she it was obvious she didn’t care what I had to say and informed me that “the system wasn’t set up to receive only dessert” 🙄 I informed her we had been coming to this Melting Pot every year for five years to get dessert on my birthday and this was the first time I have ever heard of not being able to order anything but one.single.menu.option and that there was nothing they could do to accommodate us. You would think we should have gotten $50 per person from them since they couldn’t accommodate us……but I guess it only works in their favor. Thankfully, the Kennesaw location was more than happy to accommodate us. The Midtown location has really gone downhill. Needless to say, they lost loyal customers with us today and all the events we usually bring to this location every year (my birthday, our anniversary, friends birthdays - at least 4-5x a year usually a full four course meal). I do NOT recommend this location for your special night out. Do yourself a favor and take your business to an establishment where your business is actually a priority and the staff and managers aren’t so lazy.

Soooooo good!

By mungopammy |

We made a reservation for 5:15pm but we finished our tours early and went ahead at 4pm. They allowed us to go ahead and dine. The staff there is wonderful. They constantly checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. And the food was delicious! This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first time. Thanks again!

Fun way to eat

By Phyllis W |

Took my honey for Father's Day. He really enjoyed it. Great way to experience eating. Our wait staff was really good and attentive. Options for cheese fondu, cooking/dipping fruits, veggies and meat. And of course, chocolate dipping for dessert. Would do it again.

Giving Fon, it's due.

I have been going to Melting Pot all over the country for well over 30 years and have never been disappointed. The Atlanta Melting Pot is no exception. This is THE place to bring someone special for a birthday, anniversary or just a romantic dinner. A great place to take a business client or visiting family member. The atmosphere is intimate, the food is stellar and the cocktails superb. When I first started going Melting Pot there were few choices in cheeses and everything was cooked in oil, now there are several choices of cheese fondues and alternatives to oil, there are also more dessert choices and then there are the cocktails, I recommend the Ying and Yang a chocolate/white chocolate martini. Be prepared to spend some time, I've never gotten out of there in under an hour or more but the time is well spent relaxing, enjoying good food please put away the cellphone and talk to each other this is the place to enjoy conversation with your dinner. I proposed to my wife at a Melting Pot thirty years ago, the marriage didn't last but my memory of a great meal did!

ONE OF THE BEST MELTING POTS

By skycam1 |

We have been to several Melting Pots across the United States and found most to be nothing out of the ordinary. This one is different because of the food and server. The food was impressive and Alex was even more impressive. We enjoy fondue and usually look for that style cooking for something special. As I said, Melting Pot is not where we usually go because of several non impressive past visits, so if we go to Melting Pot, it was because nothing else was available. This Melting Pot is worth going out of your way for.

Great Atmosphere

By Linda G |

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly, helpful staff. The food was great and the waiter even explained how we could defray the cost. I LOVE CHOCOLATE, so the last course of the meals was my favorite!

Galentine's Night

By Tink |

I won a Facebook contest for Galentine's Ladies Night Out. Intimate ambience, delicious food, and excellent, knowledgeable service. We had an amazing time.

It's not just dinner, it's an experience!

By Haley M |

I have been coming to the Melting Pot after seeing shows at the Fabulous Fox Theatre for about three years now. It has become a loved tradition of mine and I am always very pleased with the friendly service, classy atmosphere, and DELICIOUS fondue! I plan to enjoy the Melting Pot Midtown again, and again for years to come!

Memorable Meal

By k1986esl |

Our family ate here before attending a play nearby at The Fox. I suggest planning for at least an hour and a half for your meal. Our daughters (11 and 12) had never been to a Melting Pot before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had the four-course meal and found it to be too much food - I would suggest not getting the salad course. While our girls had no problem cooking their food, there was a family with younger children sitting near us, who seemed to have quite a struggle. We had a great server who guided us through our meal and even brought an unexpected "birthday" dessert plate for our youngest daughter. It was expensive, but well worth it. It is not an everyday place to eat, but great for a memorable meal.

Great First Experience!

By Melissa L |

I have always wanted to visit a melting pot and finally had the opportunity to do so in Atlanta! We did the four course experience. Cheese - We had the Spinach artichoke and it was ok. I am a big fan of spinach artichoke dips and it felt like this was missing some flavor. Salad - I enjoyed the house salad and my husband enjoyed the wedge. Main Course - I had picked three buffalo chicken, teriyaki sirloin and filet and cooked it in the standard broth. All were delicious. My husband enjoyed some of mine as well as potstickers, shrimp and duck. He didn't care for the duck that much but enjoyed the others. Dessert - Banana Foster... So. Freaking. Delicious. Oh my gosh. Yum yum yum! It was a great experience and we will definitely be back. But honestly I could skip the first three choices and go straight to dessert. It was THAT good!

Quick drink and appetizer

By pameatlanta |

We needed a quick stop before a show at the Fox. Everything else was packed so this was an option. Four of use each had a drink and split a cheese appetizer - they come in portions so we had 3 portions. It was a few bites for each of us. The tab was $70. It's pricy but convenient. We didn't do the whole 4 course meal experience.

Fun Evening

By JimP |

We had not been to a Melting Pot in a number of years, After this evening I have to wonder why. The food was great, atmosphere relaxing and service superb. The cheese fondue choices were better than I remember. Great place to enjoy conversation with the meal since fondue forces you to slow down and enjoy the meal. We definitely need to go to The Melting Pot more often.

Different Experience

By Carmello40 |

I did like the restaurant it was a great experience its a bit costly but worth the experience and I would suggest it to others.

Expensive Way To Cook Your Own Food

By Nancy H |

My fiance and I got a dinner and a show deal with the Fox Theater that is within walking distance of the restaurant. We paid ahead of time for the dinner and tickets to the show. We figured we'd have a quick meal and then have plenty of time to walk over to the theater. However, our meal lasted 2 1/2 hours due to the very slow service we received. Every time we finished part of the meal, we waited 15-20min for the waitress to bring out the next item. They had even opened early to accommodate the dinner/show guests. Instead of leisurely walking to the Fox, we had to rush over as quickly as possible. I get the concept of The Melting Pot but it seemed way too expensive for what it was, especially when it comes to the entree portion. You're provided with small pieces of a few different types of meat and you end up boiling it all yourself. Maybe this experience is better suited for a group of people rather than just two.

Weekend getaway

By Jenni C |

The last time I dined in a Melting Pot, it was 2005 in Philadelphia. Excited to see that there was one in Atlanta, eager to introduce my 8-year old to the fun of fondue. This Atlanta location did not disappoint. It's an appropriately pricy dinner and worth the cost for a 4-course meal, something we'll keep for special occasions. The restaurant was clean, staff was attentive and friendly.

One of our favorite places.

By thiawroane |

Dinner was nice. The cheese fondue was yummy. Some of the steak bites were chewy, but the thin slices and marinated bites were delicious. Chocolate was too sweet but otherwise tasty. There were plenty of veggies, breads, fruits and cakes. Service was great!

This is One of the Better Melting Pots

By KarenBSF |

We have been to several Melting Pot Restaurants and this is one of the better ones. There was very good service, a good selection, and plenty to eat. They are not stingy with the bread (for cheese fondue) like some of the others. The chocolate fondue for dessert is a must. One word of caution. Our GPS took us to the wrong Peachtree Street so make sure you look at the map to make sure you are going to the correct street.

What a great way to close out 2015 and welcome 2016!

By Tonya P |

As a frequent Melting Potter over the course of the past several years, I've never taken the time to sit down and review one of my favorite restaurants. My last experience, on NYE, compelled me to give props to a fabulous experience and a job well done. One of the many things that keeps bringing my man and I back to the MP is the variety of the dishes and the number of different combinations you can experience. You could literally eat here a hundred times and have a different combination of cheese, salad, entrees, and dessert each time. NYE was no exception, and as I was searching for a place to book a reservation before we rang the New Year in, I was excited to find out that The Melting Pot had a "special" NYE menu and one in which we have never had. A quick phone call to the Midtown location and our seats were reserved. The day before NYE I received a voicemail on my phone confirming our reservation (which was expected, but always a good reassurance on such a busy night) and they also reminded me of the "special" NYE menu. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were greeted by both the manager and host and then we proceeded to the bar to get a quick drink to pass the time. Moments later, the host came to the bar to let us know that our table was ready. Kudos for a) it being ready before our scheduled arrival time and b) coming to get us rather than us having to go up there. We were promptly seated and greeted by our server. The NYE menu consisted of two cheese fondues that we had never experienced before. The first that caught our eye was the Lobster Cheese that consisted of lobster and crab bisque with a few cheese blends. Yum! We also opted for the Italian meats to use as dippers in addition to the standard fare of veggies, fruit, and breads. My only reservation about the NYE menu was my fear that my favorite salad, the Caesar, would be omitted in favor of something else. Much to surprise it was still there and the pine nuts make this salad delish! The two entrees were fairly similar with a few differences between the two. Since there were two of us dining, we figured we couldn't go wrong with ordering one of each. One of the entrees featured a lobster tail and filet and the other featured a beef sirloin and a bbq pork medallion. Both entrees came with shrimp, a chicken dish, and teriyaki sirloin. As customary, our server was extremely polite and helpful in explaining the cooking directions for each dish. Even though we go to The Melting Pot 3-4x a year, a quick refresher course in the cooking times comes in handy. I'm typically not a huge lobster tail fan, but my husband's came out wonderfully. Even though we couldn't move at this point from being utterly full, what is a trip to The Melting Pot without dessert? Our thinking is that it's no trip at all, so we opted for the Rocky Road which contained a combination of chocolates and marshmallow creme with pecans. It was unbelievably good and complimented our meal to a T. Our trip to The Melting Pot on NYE was like most others with the added bonus of a customized menu to celebrate the occasion. When I say like most others, that's a great thing because the staff and food are consistently exceed our expectations and we never leave disappointed. That, in my mind, is the trademark of an excellent restaurant and operation.

Excellent Melting Pot location

By Melanie C |

We love the Melting Pot and always try to stop when one is nearby (we do not live near one). This location is excellent and all of the staff was extremely pleasant. Our server (Brandon) was very knowledgeable about the menu and options. The manager helped me to locate a hard-to-find local beer that I was looking for to bring home to my husband. This location opens at 4:00 (on Saturday at least) and we went at that time and it worked out great for us! I do believe we may always try to go at 4:00 now. Also, for those of you who love the Creme Brûlée desert like we do, they have it at this location!!!

First Time

By Katheb1 |

Valentines weekend. The food was good but expensive. They need to invest in secure parking lot for their patrons upon leaving several cars were broken into a couple in our party was one of them. A car was stolen and personal property. The police were nonchalant like this was a regular issue and even stated it more of them than us. The corner lot took our money but didn’t give receipts and didn’t care. Beware. Be careful where you park.

Good, but portions are too small

By Aristides D. Abadía (Billy) |

It has a great ambient and is centrally located in Peachtree Ave. Midtown Atlanta. We arrived at 9:00pm and they were closing the restaurant at 10:00pm on a thursday. When we order meat to be a side order on the Fondues, they told Us that the kitchen will not be able to accomplish the meats because they were close to 10:00pm. We were not satisfied with this and order two Fondues for three of Us. I really came out of there hungry and although we order more Fondue, portions were too small. If you don't go for the 4 entries in the menu, for sure you're gonna be hungry. Service was average. I recommend you to make reservations.

Delicious cheese!

My husband and I always come here for anniversaries and birthdays! There is a booth in the corner where we can sit side by side and enjoy an amazing meal. This place is our absolute favorite! Thanks for many great visits with many more to come!

Happy New Year!

By iteachrebs |

Kicking off New Year's Eve at The Melting Pot was awesome! Our go-to location has always been Kennesaw but our first trip to the Midtown location was outstanding. Our server was more than patient with our group of five adults and a rather boisterous toddler (the pretzel bread recommendation was spot on!) and made the 'newbies' in our group feel right at ease with fondue-ing it. The New Year's Eve menu was great - we have our favorites that we always get but, this visit, we had to mix it up. We loved it! Winning the Melting Pot - Atlanta Area New Year's Eve Night Out Facebook contest gave us the opportunity to take along a couple of family members who had not previously had The Melting Pot Experience. They are enthusiastic converts who will be making their own reservations back in Virginia!

Great as always

A huge (and expensive) disappointment - Check what you will receive for $450!

By cdgATL |

ENGLISH: A huge disappointment. We ate at the location in Buford GA. The waitress's attention was good. There were 5 of us and the booths were terribly uncomfortable. My wife and I ordered the Bigger Night Out combo which includes a lobster tail, my kids ordered the Complete Dinner for Two. In the first round they brought us a tray with pieces of bread (at least 1 day old), 4 cherry tomatoes, a few pieces of raw cauliflower, 4 baby carrots, half an apple cut into squares. The little cheese they served us (which was very delicious) was not even enough to eat that small tray. The second round was a salad that was average, nothing spectacular. In the Third round, they brought us meat, shrimp, two ravioli and the lobster tail, which we had to cook ourselves Korean Barbecue style. (Here there was no cheese or fondue to spread any of that, just some sauces in small containers that depending on your taste, you may or may not like) The lobster tail (only one for the two people) was hard to chew and difficult to enjoy. In the end we ordered the Yin & Yang chocolate fondue with dark chocolate and white chocolate. The dark chocolate was good but the white was horrible, it looked like hot hydrogenated oil. They accompanied this with some fruits and sweets that were "okay" At the end of the day, the account was $445.97 with the 20% tip (minimum tip required) which makes this an extremely overrated experience. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING of what they served us stood out or reached the level of expectation that you could have in a restaurant of this category (at least in price). The meat course is comparable, as I said, to a mediocre Korean Barbecue that would have cost $20 dollars per person. If you are like me who enjoys cheese, YOU WILL BE DISSATISFIED WANTING MORE! . I don't think we'll go again. . No creo que volvamos a ir.

Bananas Foster is the Bomb!

By Connie A |

I took my sister for the first time on Sunday. We went as a group. We had plenty of wine choices. We had the new bacon jalapeño cheese and spinach artichoke. I had steak lovers in mojo and a house salad. The Italian dressing was delicious! Then we had flaming turtle and bananas foster with some premium dippers! It was overwhelmingly excellent! Our waiter was the best!

Great time... very expensive!

By Amanda H |

We had a great time here, and I would give it 5 stars, but there are 2 things keeping me from it: 1. the set up is confusing, and despite the thorough explanation, I wasn't in the mood to make so many decisions about my lunch experience, and 2. it is so very expensive. Don't get me wrong, we love fine dining and will pay a pretty penny for outstanding food, but to me, what we got does not correspond with the pricing. The meals were good, but it is a lot of work to cook your own food over fondue pots and then pay high prices to do so. Here's what I would do if we visit again: stick with a small party, opt to eat the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue, and cut out everything else. You'd get the experience that you're after, minus the hassle of cooking your own entrees, and you'd come out a lot cheaper (or at least more reasonable).

Perfect place for an engagement dinner.

By Melanie E |

One of the best experiences of dining out that we have had in a very long time! Everything was amazing from the service to the food! We were there to celebrate the engagement of my husband's daughter and I couldn't have been happier with everything. I made it extra special by ordering flowers, balloons, a box of chocolate wafers and champagne. They were out of the champagne I ordered, so they upgraded our champagne without any extra cost. Then to make things more special, they brought out chocolate covered strawberries for the couple.

Good Service; Awful Food; Very Expensive

By Kokeeta W |

This will probably go down as my least favorite restaurant of all times. We had a four course dinner for roughly about $99.00 per couple. (That was a special) The first course was a melted cheese dip with bread pieces and raw vegetables. The cheese was clumpy but had a OK taste. The second course was a salad. It was very nice on presentation, but again just OK. The entree was the worst. They gave us a plate of raw meats and we had to cook it in a boiling pot of wine broth. My lobster tails and shrimp looked awful after putting them in the boiling liquid. Even the dumplings looked very unappetizing. The highlight of the evening was definitely the dessert. I had the white chocolate and I asked for them to add pralines. It was very delicious with the pound cake. If I would suggest anything it would definitely be to go for dessert only. The cost is about $20.00 and you will enjoy it. I'm sure others may enjoy this, but it was definitely not for me.

Great Experience!

By mrm0008 |

This was out first time at a Melting Pot and it was wonderful! Our server was so helpful explaining everything to us! And the FOOD, amazing! We spent 2.5 hours cooking and eating, but when we left it felt like 15 minutes. It's really a dining experience!

Fabulous experience

By Leah C |

Celebrated my mother's birthday at The Melting Pot and once again the experience exceeded our expectations. The food is so fresh and delicious! The terriyaki sauce is delicious on everything and we can never get enough of the mushrooms stuffed with the green goddess sauce. And the Original chocolate fondue is so delicious with the fresh fruit and the brownie, pound cake and cheesecake bites. It is just one delicious bite after another. Simply wonderful from start to finish!!!

Fun Experience and Good Food

By ah64fish |

We hadn't been to a Melting Pot in over 8 years, since we're foodies and there are just so many choices now. We decided to go for Valentine's Day and had a great time. It's what we remembered with some added or upgraded items. It's also a ton of food. If you go on V-Day, it's a prefix menu that literally gives you everything with a $69 level and a $79 level that has lobster and filet mignon. Even with all the great food in ATL, we're glad we stopped back in!

Awesome

Wonderful dining experience. Food was excellent and FUN. Great Wait Staff. Expensive but worth it for the occasional special night out. Plan for at least two hours. Easy walk to and from The Fox and The Georgian Terrace.

ALWAYS A GREATTTT EXPERIENCE

By Crystal N |

It's been many years since we've previously been to the Melting Pot and we kept saying we were gonna go back. I'm so glad we did cause we greatly enjoyed our experience! It's a bit pricey but worth it for the quality and amount of food, to include great service, nice atmosphere, and everything in between. We did the 'make your own' pick 4 items and got three meats and one vegetable. We also got the salad and chocolate to go along with our meal. We picked the alpine cheese, vegetable broth for our base, and tried the turtle chocolate with our desert. Between the three of us, we chose filet mignon, Cajun filet, ahi tuna, salmon, andouille sausage, teriyaki sirloin, and Cajun shrimp. I'd definitely recommend to others and keep coming back time and time again!

Special Date Night

We have been to several Melting Pots and this one didn't disappoint. The food and service were great. They even brought us a special plate of extra dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Only wish this location was a little more romantic on the inside.

Dinner 12/11/2021

By Krystal P |

I brought my staff to the Melting Pot for our Christmas party before we went to the Fox theater to see the Grinch. While we were waiting a homeless man walked in and the owner / manager immediately began to scream at him to leave. He said I am just here to see my friend - pointing to the hostess. I just want some mints. The owner said no you can have one mint but then you to need to leave - you don’t belong here. He politely left and wished her a merry Christmas. We were all very shocked and embarrassed by the whole situation and could not believe how horribly the manager was towards this person. She really made herself look like a terrible person. If we hadn’t had to go to the Fox at 7 - we would have left. I don’t think I will be back to the restaurant because of the way they treat people.

Fantastic dinner!

I recently visited The Melting Pot with my husband. We came to celebrate my birthday and I had no idea how much fun it would be. The staff was excellent and explain everything about the menu. I loved the food and atmosphere. If you are looking for a night out The Melting Pot is the place to go!

We've eaten at this restaurant several times and it's always excellent! From the time you walk in the door and smell all the fondue until you roll back out the door, full! The service, food and atmosphere are all one of a kind and have never disappointed! The more different varieties of fondue you try, the more favorites you will have! Only downfall is choosing which delicious one's to eat! A must do if in the Atlanta area!

Fantastic experience!

By Lynn805 |

My son and I went for dinner just before going to a play at the Fox Theatre. We enjoyed everything about our experience, from the ambience to the food and service. The broth we chose for our meat dish was delicious, and there was moer than enough food in one order for my son and I to share. The dessert fondue comes with an assortment of enticing chocolates to pick from, and is served with a variety of fun foods to dip. Mike, our waiter, was aware we had a show to go to and he was very prompt with our food and bill. He was also friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu despite being new. The manager went above and beyond to help us make it to our show when we had a bit of a glitch in our plans. I would definitely make a point of returning.

Terrible Birthday

By HJ-Bomb |

I made these reservations for my birthday and for my mom as she flew in to ATL that day and I hadn’t seen her in 1 yr. The restaurant knew this, my husband even got up multiple times from our table to ask about the bday balloon package that they offered and I never received. Dishes were rarely bused off table between courses and waiter was hard to find. I was embarrassed by the service that I got up myself to find the manager. Instead hostess told the assistant manager, told her the problem, she said she was aware of some issues because earlier she had spoke to my husband. Assistant manager Never came to our table, as we were leaving I asked for the assistant manager but she had already gone home for the night. I never got my birthday balloons, my guests were irritated, I was sad and embarrassed..honestly I wish I had never decided to dine here. I hate this happened because I really was a fan of this restaurant chain.

Great Parents Night Out

By Kendra B |

We had a lovely time at The Melting Pot and going to the Fox Theatre right after. They are walking distance from each other, so it is easy for parking. This was the perfect date night for us new parents, who don't get out a lot!

Great experience!

By Paul G |

The melting pot is our favorite place to go! We have visited for our anniversary and just for a night out. No matter why you are going they always give the best personal service. You can't find this kind of dining anywhere. Great place to eat!

Entertaining and Delicious

By Billy M |

The last time I went to a Melting Pot was easily 20 years ago so I was up for a "new" adventure. Pre-show dinner with my girl. we were seated promptly but only after having to seek out the hostess. We thought we had a nice quiet table since this was a romantic evening but that illusion was shattered when we realized we were along the pathway to the restrooms. It wasn't too bad until the small children (unaccompanied) came through like a travelling circus and all the noise associated with it. It was too late to request a change of seating so we endured. The meal was really good. our waiter was very patient about explaining things to us and took great care. The New Orleans style was fantastic and the chocolate was amazing although I was not too partial to the marshmallows. we will be back but with a better game plan on where to sit.

1st experience and we loved it

By leppete |

This was the first experience at a melting pot, or fondue-resturant for either me or my wife. We went with friends who make the 3 hour drive a few times each year to dine here. The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. All of the staff, and especially our server Chris, were first-rate. We really enjoyed the food and the experience as a whole. Will definitely be returning in the future!!

Average Food, Premium Price

By Ken E |

I haven't been to a Melting Pot in 20 years until I visited the mid-town location a couple of weeks ago for a birthday. The food wasn't bad, I just didn't think it was worth $119.00 for 2 people that we paid. Also, you have to pay for parking. Service was good, I did feel slightly rushed. Maybe it was because the server talked so fast.

PERFECT!!

By lisawinslett |

The night was perfect...staff awesome...restaurant top notch!!! It was a special birthday...and turned out to be more than I anticipated. I'm Going Back!!!

Christmas Girls Night Out

By Janell J |

Terrible. Waitress wasn’t friendly and overcharged us even though I showed a screenshot of the price. Food portions were very small. Cheese was bland…no flavor at all. She was supposed to bring my friend some gluten free things and never did. Strawberries were frozen solid. Chocolate was lukewarm at best. We were literally starving when we left and had to eat again after our show.

Added fees

By GennaMoe |

My daughter chose the Melting Pot for her birthday dinner. The food and service were awesome. We had 7 adults and 2 children 6 & 7 yrs old. Everybody ordered a meal, except for the 6 year old. When we received the bill, there was 2 extra charges for each child. One was around 16.00 each for the cheeses. And, the other was for around 13.00 for each child for the chocolate. Then, there were a lot of extra charges for different sauces that we were unaware if. The wine was higher than what was listed on the menu. I believe they got us for about a 100 extra with the extra fees, the taxes and the built-in tip. I thought it was ridiculous. I questioned the waiter. He said is it okay? Did you enjoy it? I said yes, the food was great. But, do I have any other choice? He just smiled. He said he had to bring extras for the kids. We did not ask him to do this and were unaware of it. And, to beat all, he took about half if "the extras" back out with the trash. There was no way we could eat it all. I am not happy with this. We will not be back. Family of 7 and 2 small kids-dinner 468.00

MUST GO

By Tisa H |

Must go, That experience is amazing unforgettable . food was excellent ,fresh. My server was big Mike and he knew each and everything that he brought out to the table. And prepared right in front of us, if you are looking for a place to go with a new experience, this is the place YOU MUST GO HERE …..

You have to go and experience this unique restaurant!

By Susan A |

I absolutely love coming to The Melting Pot. I would say it is terrific for special occasions (which it is) but in our house The Melting Pot is our favorite restaurant any day. Fabulous for dates, perfect for groups (sharing!), and the best place to go to put down the cell phones and dig in. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is cozy and the fondue is to die for. Velvety, robust cheese fondue, juicy meat and seafood. To finish, rich chocolate fondue with creative dipping choices. You have to go! Now! (Hint: don't forget chocolate dipped strawberries to take for later)

A Wonderful Valentine filled with adventure

By gtjrpj |

My husband planned a early dinner for us this past Saturday for Valentine's Day. It was our first visit. Our waitress Sidney, was very friendly and helpful. The Valentine menu consisted of two choices of each course. We started with a spinach and artichoke dip. They provided an assortment of breads, chips and raw veggies for that particular dip. I ordered the wine special; they paired each dish with a different glass of wine. The next course was a delicious strawberry, almond salad, yum! And, yes they even had a wine that was paired with the salad. The main course was filet mignon, shrimp, lobster, sirloin, chicken, potatoes, pasta, and mushrooms dipped/cooked in an awesome fondue broth, that was prepared at our table...and yes, with another glass of wine. All of our food was raw and we cooked it in the fondue pots that are on the table. Most items cooked in about 2 minutes. I like the idea because everything you ate was freshly cooked and hot. The dipping sauces were fantastic. Be sure to mix the curry sauce with the teriyaki sauce, yum! The manager suggested that one. Finally, dessert, we chose the strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries, bananas, pineapple, and marshmallows. So very delightful... all dipped in white chocolate. And, of course a glass of dessert wine. We left full, but not stuffed, and happy. The overall experience was great. The parking is directly across the street for a 5 spot, because you are dining at The Melting Pot. Cheapest parking I've ever seen near the Fox Theater. I believe this was an expensive dinner; but, I cannot say how expensive because I did not see the bill. I would recommend this to anyone. My new spot.

Amazing

I don't like to eat alone but this was amazing and the staff was great. Very welcoming and gave me a great seat.

Service could've been better

By Faith A |

I chose this location to celebrate my Sweetheart's birthday and our anniversary based on an excellent experience with the one in Columbus, Ohio. The service here could've definitely been better. We had to repeatedly ask for things and wait long periods of time to get it. The food meant our expectations. Overall everyone was pleasant and acknowledged our special occasions. It was a very nice ambiance for our special occasion. For the level of money spent at this place, service should be better though.

Great for bringing families together!

By Wendi Camp |

I brought my 9 year old to Atlanta and wanted to give her a "fancy" experience! We went to the Melting Pot, and she LOVED the atmosphere! She felt so grown up cooking her own food and having a nicely dressed waiter coming to our table. We loved the food and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for our "fancy" night out. The service was also phenomenal. My husband and I plan to come back for our 15 year anniversary this month. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Subpar for chain name

By Aaron |

Tried to be 4* restaurant with McDonald’s level staff. Only one member of the service team acted professional; the rest (from the front desk to servers) were extremely casual, loud, and overheard talking about various customers. Hostess literally “hay girl”d a customer in the lobby. Food portions: downsizing is the thing. The salad looked like a good start for building a salad; 5 forks and it’s gone. When the menu says GF, but the server 1. Doesn’t know what GF means, 2. Repeatedly forgets the beer for the cheese fondue (yes, they offered gf beer), the wine for the main dish, etc, you know something is off. The charcuterie board was one of the lightest in substance that I have seen at any melting pot. Music: top 10 greatest hits of rock/country/R&B at a loud level isn’t the ambience the Melting Pot brand usually doesn’t go for. Made it impossible to have a quiet, relaxing conversation. Might explain why the staff had to be loud and could be heard talking about guests on the opposite side of the establishment. Have been to multiple melting pot locations, and the ATL location was the worst one, bar none. It honestly does not live up to the Melting Pot reputation.

Worst Melting Pot visit ever

By Andrew T |

Don't know if it was the waitress or just the site. Waitress failed to bring the strawberries that were ordered. Service was slow throughout the evening even though they knew we had a visit at the Fox theater. Waitress was training another individual very poorly. Took forever to just get a bill. Should have walked!

Perfect for a romantic evening

By Sgt C |

My wife and I love the Melting Pot. Take some time and enjoy a long slow meal in a private setting with the one you love.

So much fun, and so good!

By BrooksnMonica |

There were six of us, and we got the complete meal for two (times three). My favorite appetizer was dipping the apples into the Wisconsin Cheese, but dipping any of the breads, fruits or veggies into that, or the Spinach/Artichoke...well, it was all amazing. Then the really good salads came out, but I was looking forward to more fondue fun. Cooking our own steak in the Mojo was so good, but I think that possibly my favorite was stuffing a large mushroom cap with Green Goddess and then covering it in batter and bread crumbs and frying it in the oil. Just thinking about that....yum. But wait, then comes the best part - the dessert. We got plates full of good (bananas, pineapple, strawberries) and evil (marshmallows, rice crispy treats, brownies, etc.), and then we dipped that into our two chocolate fondues: dark chocolate and the flaming turtle. It was a super great night. Our server was as fantastic as the food and the atmosphere. For us it's kinda pricy, but this was a special celebration, and well worth it.

Dinner and Show- Midtown Melting Pot

By Misty A |

We love doing the dinner and show tickets with the Midtown location. We make it a family event to get dressed up , enjoy dinner, and a show at the Fox. This year we did the Grinch Musical and it was so fun to have the Grinch show up at the restaurant. He never broke character- he was really, really good. We very much enjoyed his antics!

Double Date Contest Night Out

By HFerris |

I love the Melting Pot; especially the Midtown Atlanta location. Our food was wonderful and our waiter was very nice, only negative he was slow and was not attentive to us like I am accustom to with this location. Because this has only happened this one particular time I will def still return and highly recommend it.

First time was wonderful

By 498aron |

We were first timers to the Melting Pot. One thing I always look for is how busy they are - and they were packed - every booth full and it was a Tuesday night. Our service was excellent, We were immediately seated as we had a reservation (that doesn't matter occasionally as you know). Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the process. She took our drink order and returned promptly. We had the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Fondue. They make it at your table. I recommend this one. our entree was the Steak lovers plate - it was a nice variety of very tender, high quality cuts or filet, sirloin and rib-eye. We chose the iron skillet method which was perfect as we (my date) cook our steaks to a different temperature. We had the Banana foster for dessert - perfect. My only down side to the entire experience was the sauces furnished with the steaks - I'm not one to put additives on my steak but I wanted to taste them and was not very impressed with the selection. Other than that - 5 from me.

Great Pre-Show Dinner

By Wes H |

We decided to splurge a little before a show at the Fox Theatre and this location is right down the street (closer than some of the parking lots, actually). The food was delicious and we left stuffed. Our waitress disappeared for a while, but showed up just in time with the check so we could make the curtain for our show. It always feels a little overpriced to me, and we had wanted to share an entree portion, but we each got charged for one, so if you want to share, communicate that clearly. But it was a great start to a night out.

Great dessert

By livelife h |

The customer service was good. The dessert was delicious. The salad was good. The cheese fondue and the entrww was just ok

It's hard to go wrong with fondue.

By David W |

At least if it's done well, and the Melting Pot in midtown delivers. The staff at this location are friendly and helpful. I tip my hat to Liz, our wait staff, who did an excellent job with making sound recommendations, keeping on top of our drinks, and providing exceptional service. The manager also made sure to make the rounds, checking with each table to make sure that everyone was happy with their experience. For me, the service is what makes or breaks a meal, and the Melting Pot delivers. Note that this location is relatively near the Fox Theater, so it lends itself towards making for a excellent location to grab a meal before or after attending a show.

My son's 29th birthday

We love The Melting Pot. Love the 4 course meal. Great food, excellent service. Great location near The Fox theater on Peachtree St. You have to try the chocolate fondue, it is awesome. Highly recomended...

Great B-day dinner

By Patrick H. |

We had a great time! Chloe was super nice, and the food was delicious! Our table was really private and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Always great to do fondue at the Melting Pot

Perfect for dates!

By Kree253 |

Everything is exquisite! I loved having control and many options to choose from. Our drinks were even little works of art. They truly give you an experience to remember. There's nothing like it! The atmosphere was intimate and made our date very romantic! They also do a special birthday dessert for you! 100% recommended!

Dip Baby Dip!!!

By latoport |

My hubby and I have dined at the Melting Pot a couple of times and we enjoyed both visits. The atmosphere is so pleasurable. The second time was our anniversary and during casual conversation, we told our waitress that we were out for a quick celebration, then back home to the kids. Before we left, she suprised us with a rose, a card that everyone on staff signed, along with a gift certificate for a free chocolate fondue the next time we visit. I thought that was soooo thoughtful and sweet as we were not expecting anything like that. Since then I've brought my girlfriends for a fun girls night out, and as usual, we had much fun! Next visit, we're bringing the kids!! Oh boy!! LOL!

Good Date Nigh Spot

If you want to try something a little different, The Melting Pot is great. Splurge and go for the triple option that includes meats, cheeses, and chocolates. They also have an impressive top shelf bar offering.

Cheese R Us

By CA Advice |

I was revisiting places on Yelp. I need to clue you trippers in on this joint! A little bit of history: My first paycheck job fifty years ago was as a dishwasher at the original Melting Pot, across the street from UC Berkeley. Man, has it gone upscale! As a Yelper the first thing I did was check in. And a gift popped up - six chocolate covered strawberries. Who doesn't like choc covered berries?? I am mentioning this because the owner doesn't believe that people still Yelp. So when you go, and get your strawberries, mention that Sande told ya to!! LOL So back to our evening: Absolutely magical. The room was beautiful and private, so our contingent could be as rowdy as we wanted. The drinks were first rate. I am not a coffee drinker but those who enjoyed the Billionaire's Coffee raved about it. We opted for the Bigger Night Out, which basically gave us everything. My choice of salad was the California (since I hail from). It was delightful. I love when restaurants serve fresh ingredients. The candied pecans made the salad as far as I'm concerned. Our cheese fondue was the Wisconsin Cheddar. Full bodied, while the apple pieces lent a nice opposing tartness. But first let me mention that we chose both a cast iron grill & coq au vin as our cooking apparatuses. The accompanying sauces were perfect. The entree Land & Sea with an added lobster tail almost made the meal. I say almost because we still had to make room for chocolate fondue. It did not disappoint We ordered both milk as well as dark chocolate. Flaming Turtle / Yin and Yang. Yummy! I would be remiss if I didn't mention that they also have both vegan cheese, gluten free bread on request and vegan chocolate. You just can't go wrong with this joint. You have come a long way Melting Pot. Good on ya. I give it two snaps up, a heel click and glitter.

Completely wonderful staff!

By Ashley D |

The staff was completely wonderful! I took a group of very deserving children for my neighborhood. This whole experience blew their minds, they were not used to being waited on at all. Our waiter was super friendly, my kids felt like they wanted to go see about their money so they can come back again. They thought somebody would look at them funny because they weren't dress really fancy but they felt wonderful when I left. Hopefully we can come back soon maybe during the holidays!

OK experience, extremely poor service

By mpn7d |

We were looking for an upscale dinner experience but were surprised with a subpar server and an okay meal. From out wait at an empty restaurant, the server basically reading the menu to us but not knowing the answer to extremely basic questions, and extremely long wait times in between checking on us we will never be back to this location. Thing as simple as asking us to point at the beer we ordered on the menu so they could find it on their mobile POS was rather telling. We were there for almost 3 hours - I get fondue obviously takes a while, but couples that came in after us were long gone by the time we got out of there. After every course we had to awkwardly wait like 15 minutes for our server to come check on us. Once it finally came time to pay and we provided the card it was rather off-putting that she popped the card in the POS and handed it to us and said tip is included and 25% was preselected. Do not waste your time.

Better than Expected

By Sharron H |

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I knew the menu would be fondue, however I did not expect to have so much fun cooking my own food. I was with friends I had not seen in a long time, so preparing our own food gave us a chance to savor the visit. It is definitely something I would do again.

The Melting Pot

By wardditt |

We steeped out of our regular type of restaurant and choose this to experience a different type of menu. We were expecting a Swiss menu only to find out their menu went far and above. Our waiter walked us through the meal from appetizers to deserts and throughly explained each course when ordered and brought to our table for us to cook our meals. We also told the cooking times from vegetables to meats. As we imagined it was a very enjoyable dinner and lasted almost 3 hours. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a different type of dining experience!

Mixed bag. Good fondues. Poor savory dippers. Dull, dingy and poorly lit inside with dust inside and unclean windows.

By Lakshmi A |

This was our second time at this branch of Melting Pot. I did not want to review after just one time. Their cheese fondue itself is very good but the dippers for the cheese were very ordinary - the bread, for example, felt stale and ordinary - better bread is definitely warranted. The chocolate fondue is excellent and so are its dippers - exquisite. However, the restaurant itself looks dilapidated - their glass fronts were not clean on both occasions ; the front desk people are not particularly friendly. However, the wait staff is excellent and solicitous - but they were not too knowledgeable on the various options. The interiors were dull, dingy and tired looking, with unclean windows and dust inside everywhere. I understand mood lighting but the lighting here was invoking sleep - felt more like a night lamp. As we sat waiting for the food, we wondered if the food would be of good quality - one associates interiors with the food too, especially when one is new to the establishment. With the price it commands, we expected more. Other restaurants in the same area at this price point or even less, are far better appointed inside.

Awesome - love The Melting Pot!

By April G |

My husband and I visited the Duluth location for my birthday in 2014. It was a very enjoyable experience! I received a birthday card signed by all the employees and the customer service was outstanding. Our server was very helpful with the menu options, which was great especially since my husband is gluten free. The food was excellent, especially the cheese and chocolate fondues! And the cocktails we had were delicious. I would recommend The Melting Pot in a heartbeat, especially for special occasions. Great place! We haven't had the opportunity to return yet, but haven't forgotten about it - hoping to make it for our second anniversary this summer!

10 yr annv. Early Bird special

By Matt N |

The wife and I enjoyed a romantic dinner at the melting pot this weekend. Had great service and loved the new mint chocolate dessert. We did everything else pretty much default. This location isn't as private feeling as the one in Kennesaw but still we had a great time.

Awesome experience

By Penny W |

We chose to have the 4 course dinner. Starting with cheese fondue that was delicious. Next we had salad and main course we had steak chicken and pork. All was very tender and flavorful. To finish the meal we had chocolate smores fondue. Fabulous meal!!

Great After -Theatre Dinner

By Lois F |

We had a wonderful dinner at The Melting Pot. The waitstaff are very professional and explained the menus and fondues exceptionally well. all food was delicious. Excellent filet and lobster...great California salad...we had the Bananas Foster White Chocolate for our dessert course and weren't disappointed. All food items throughout the meal were very fresh! Delightful experience!!

Anniversary dinner

By Amy H |

This was the first time we had ever eaten at the Melting Pot and for a special occasion it was totally worth the high prices! The setting was perfect for a romantic dinner. We stuck to the most classic choices for both the cheese fondue appetizer and the main course and loved it. For dessert we chose the yin and yang white and milk chocolate option and it was spot on!

Didn't meet expectations

By Cheryl A I |

This was a surprise evening for me. I didn't know for sure what the concert/evening had in store except we were beginning at the Melting Pot. But when we announced our arrival the manager behind the counter immediately asked if we need to eat in time to go to the performance at The Fox. Our daughter and her husband were caught slightly off-guard and tried to recover. So the surprise was blown. They might consider asking a more generic question about a show or performance. Then the wine my daughter and I had - hers red, mine white - was not fresh. The food was good but not stellar. The service was very good. I don't think I'll bother to go again. There are too many other spots that are more consistent.

A disappointment

By audionote |

The food was mediocre and since you're cooking your own food it seems like this is just a setup to squeeze the most amount of money out of all customers...our bill without salad or desert for 3 people was $153.90 and they expect you to tip a minimum of 20% up to 30% our waitress Sasha thought she should ask what we all did for a living and also tried to be overly personal and then pushed a Charity donation on us. She rolled her eyes at me in the hallway way after I have her a $25.00 tip on the $153.90 bill !! Will never go back to this place again!! For $50.00 a piece you could go to a number of better places!!

Goopy pleasure!!!

By Zak99 |

We went in this place like a couple kids at a mall food court lookin to chill like it was our birthday and found out all the tables had stoves on em!!! They slapped a pot of chocolate down in front of us and gave us a pile of junk to dip in it and we was slurping and slinging that stuff like it was gonna run away from us!!! They prolly had to mop the walls around our table after we left!!! Go to this place! Even if it ain't your birthday! It'll BE your birthday when they get done with you!!! Happy birthday!!!

Once is good enough.

By PrettyInPink18 |

I've only been here on one occasion, and I don't plan to go back. However, if you haven't been-please go...just so you can say you have been. This is a restaurant you go to to revel in the experience only-not for the food. It's cozy enough for a romantic date, but be clear...you will be hungry upon leaving. You get small servings of uncooked food, and you are expected to cook the food in a pot of grease(oil) that's placed on a stovetop in the middle of your table. You put the petite food on a long steel spork and hold in the grease for a spell or you can just throw it in the pan and let it "cook". Then you can eat it when you "think" it's done. The food will never turn brown as cooked food usually do, so hopefully you'll hit the jackpot. There are rules, too. Rule #1. Don't touch the pot-it's hot! So glad they told me that, because as an adult, I didn't understand the concept that a boiling pot is hot. Rule #2: Don't eat directly off of the spork-thingy. They said it would contaminant the grease. Ok, so who takes the hot fork out of the hot grease, and wraps their lips around the entire thing? Most people take the food off with their teeth. I guess this is good advice for a group of hepatitis diners, who are all sitting at the same table. Just my opinion. On my visit, the server was not patient at all. I thought that to be unfair, considering the menu is confusing. Well... not my worry anymore, because I shall never return.

Do not eat here if you're going to a show at the Fox

By Kaitlin B |

If you are planning to go see a show at the Fox Theater, don't choose this restaurant. We had reservations, arrived early, placed our order by 5:30, and were not brought our main course until 7:10. When we explained we couldn't stay and eat because we absolutely had to leave for the Fox Theater by 7:15 to make our 7:30 show (something we mentioned in our reservation and the second we were seated and every time the server dropped by to give us refills and apologize for the kitchen being backed up), they took 15 minutes to bring us our check. We spent that 15 minutes stressing the hell out, contemplating walking, and trying to flag down every staff member who passed by. Nothing worked, and we missed the first portion of the show. The Melting Pot had been, prior to this, my favorite restaurant. I don't live near one, so it's a rare and special treat. The Broadway was one I'd been waiting to come to Atlanta for years. We came from 2 hours away. We had friends and family there from out of town. We'd budgeted and scrimped and saved to make this night happen, and when I called the restaurant the next day, they said I should have asked for a manager on my way out because they could have done something about it then, but since it was LAST night, there wasn't really anything they could do. Here's the thing. I didn't ask them to DO anything. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, I'm not trying to get a refund on my appetizers or asking to be comped for the tickets, I just wanted to make the manager or corporate or whoever aware of how the situation was handled so the next person doesn't miss part of the show. I know short staffing intentionally is the new trend in management, and people need to speak up. It's not right that my waiter busted his ass off that night and lost a table because they didn't have enough people to handle a fairly predictable crowd. (They ran a promotion based on the show for heaven's sake. It required reservations so they knew exactly how many people they needed to be prepared for.) It's not right that whoever was running the kitchen was so overwhelmed that a course which requires the customers to cook the food for themselves was backed up by 90 minutes. And it's not fair that we missed a chunk of our show because there wasn't a protocol in place for handling the problem they created with a combination of marketing to draw people in and short staffing to maximize profit. If you want to make it to your show on time, get dinner somewhere else.

Good and Bad

By bedfordfallsgal |

I've been aware of The Melting Pot for some time and wanted to try its unique concept of fondue based dining. To start, the staff, waiters, décor, floorplan, cleanliness, and access to parking was excellent. (However, as far as parking, keep in mind parking requires a fee. Pay for the longer parking times because dining is slow and spaced out. Example-Six dollars was two hours and seven dollars was all day. Pay the seven. I paid for six and came to within twenty five minutes of my close-out time. The restaurant was slow, when we arrived. Better to be safe than sorry.) Right off, I felt I was going to be in for a relaxing dining experience. However, my relaxation was immediately affected by the bizarre and loud background music. I didn't think it paired well with the atmosphere or laid-back mood of the setting. My dining companion and I chose the four course meal. The cheddar cheese fondue with bread, green apples, and raw vegetables, for dipping, was excellent. The salad was also delicious with a great salad dressing. For the entrée, we chose the Steak Lovers. This was where things started to break down with the food. I was absolutely stunned to find that raw cuts, raw vegetables, and broth/sauces, were brought to the table and that the patron was expected to cook each piece, in the pot or on fondue sticks, in the fondue pot broth/sauce. I'd expected them to present cooked pieces and that I would dip the cooked pieces in fondue or sauces. This was a massive turn-off because of the price of the meal. The cheapest four course dinner was well over thirty dollars and higher. For that, I want to be fully waited on during the meal. The last course was the dessert and we went with Full Chocolate. With this, chocolate is in the fondue pot, and you dip various sugary confections and fruits into the chocolate. I, personally, felt it was too much sweet. I would have preferred more fruits instead of brownies, Rice Crispies, etc. One interesting point to note is that this restaurant is within walking distance to the Fox Theatre. So, if you are wanting something nearby, you may like to know it's there. Would I recommend it? Yes, it's a good one time experience for something unique. However, as one who has eaten in New York City, London, etc., this isn't something I would feel a need to repeat. Next time, I will eat at the Cheesecake Factory in Buckhead. I've been there multiple times.

Tried Once More After 5 Years

By M J |

Yeah, first we received an email telling us that Friendsgiving was on Mondays. I went to make a reservation for our nearest and most trusted Melting Pot in Duluth but theirs specifically said Wed. Wed don't work for our schedule so we decided to try the ATL once more (as our first two experiences downtown were awful when we lived down there). So I went on THEIR website and apparently should have taken a screenshot, it said Mondays but of course on Monday when we were there for the deal it no longer stated Mondays. Not only did I read it but two of my friends just to make sure. We showed up and after going through our waiter, the manager and then the GM (good heavens can no one make a decision at this place?) they said, nope sorry you can't prove it. So yeah the rest of the visit was tempered with that disappointment. Then they didn't have most the things every other Melting Pot we've been to across the US from Seattle down to Georgia could not/ would not make. It was SO disappointing but I really should've expected it. It was exactly as it was when we lived downtown about 5 years ago. They do not stretch themselves for the customer at all at this location. I have been to Melting pots for the last 20years almost monthly. I will make sure EVERY I speak to chooses, Duluth or Savannah because this is hands down THE WORST Melting Pot I've EVER been to in any state we've ever lived in.

Thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

Have eaten here a number of times-mostly holidays with family. Relaxing atmosphere. Excellent combinations and mixtures of foods for table cooking- right down to the desserts! S'mores is a favorite!

Need new management

By randrforever |

Had dinner at the Melting Pot Apr 2nd. Dirty exterior windows was the first clue it might not be ideal. Hostess slouching against the wall when we came in was 2nd. While a carpet sweeper leaned against the wall as we were seated, it didn't looked like it had been used in awhile. Waiter was friendly but obviously hadn't been properly trained. He told us he'd worked there for 2 weeks. He turned the pot on when we sat down so that by the time we got the cheese fondue there was insufficient water left to heat it. A new pot solved that. He recorked the red wine after pouring a glass. Not his fault, just not trained. Served salad and cheese fondue at the same time. I would have preferred one before the other but wasn't asked. Dropped the dessert menu on the table when we'd barely started dinner. These are simple customer service issues he should have been taught on his first shift. Oh ya, no toilet paper in ladies washroom. Obviously been awhile since anyone took a cleanser in there. The food actually was not bad. If they could solve the cleanliness and training issues it could be a nice night out.

The plates were very small, but delicious. Just enough selection to fill you up, but not over stuffed.

Don't leave without trying a Ying Yang

By Laurie W |

I have been to the Atlanta Melting Pot about 5 times and every time I fall in love more. I absolutely love the food and the chocolate fondue and so hard to decide which chocolate to get, it is amazing but I highly recommend the Ying Yang drink!! The first time I had one I knew I would dream about that drink and I do :-) . I love going with friends and having such a great time and enjoying the experience of cooking my own food. I'm ready to go for my 6th time. I LOVE the Melting Pot

Perfect for date night

The melting pot continues to be a favorite spot for a romantic night out. The cheese and chocolate are always delicious and the pace of the meal allows you to relax and unwind. A perfect night out

dont get the fox theater deal

By chrisjn72 |

we've gotten the fox theater/ melting pot dinner deal twice now...you get show tickets and dinner...however the restaurant while holding up their end of the deal treat us as second class citizens... those with the deal are sat in the very back near the restrooms and those dinning without the deal are sat upfront... staff was terrible, constantly having to be reminded of our drink orders and then they still bring the wrong drinks (happened four times with the same server) it was as if they just did not care...and then when the bill came we found out why...seem as we missed the fine print of the deal...the not included in the deal automatic 18% gratuity...she was going to get a decent tip no matter what. i have no other explanation than that for the sorry service we received.

We LOVE the Melting Pot - Atlanta

By Kimberli W |

My husband and I began going to the Melting Pot at the Town Center location several years ago for our monthly overnight date nights. We’ve continued going and have begun taking our children on family dates as well. We have also visited the downtown location on a few occasions while purchasing the dinner and a show at the Fox Theater. We’ve also gotten my parents to go with us a few times now as well. Finally, this past year I began bringing my girlfriends for Girls Night Out celebrations. I am probably your number one fan, and I’m proud of it!!! I mean, you can’t go wrong with melted cheese and yummy chocolate (with some serious meat in between). 😁 I’m actually looking for the Cirque and dinner reservation site as I type this. Thank you for always having a wait staff that is incredible and food that is even more amazing! I’m a lifetime Melting Pot lover! ❤️ #lovethemeltingpot #sweetlyrewarded #fondue #meltingpotatl

Evening Out

By Fun_Traveler45 |

We enjoy the Melting Pot and have been dining with them for years. We always get the same items, the Traditional Swiss Cheese, the California Salad, I get the teriyaki sirloin, my husband the filet, and my kids get a variety of items they like. They have changed the Swiss cheese receipe and it is not as good but is not bad. They have a new menu that offers more options to build our own meals which we all enjoy and can finally skip the duck that no one likes. For this visit I had the sirloin and added a lobster tail. It came covered in papriki which I am allergic to and they quickly replaced it for me. We ordered the dark chocolate for dessert with the flaming liquor to roast marshmellows. It was all wonderful except the service. While we ate the table beside us sat empty where the guests had already left yet dirty dishes remained for the entire hour and a half we were there. We had to search several times to find a server because our drinks were empty and the servers were just gone. The service always seems to struggle while we sit with empty glasses and servers missing for huge gaps of time. We love the food and will continue to eat there for our special occasions we just wish the servers could get more help or something so that we don't feel we are always looking around trying to find someone to get us a drink or more sauce, or to clean off a table! To spend the money you do to eat there you expect better service!

Great Experience

By Tamara B |

Our family went to The Melting Pot for my Birthday and had a great time. Our server was excellent and took the time to explain everything to us - we were first timers to the fondue experience. A little pricey but well worth it.

Slow paced service but delicious!

By Connie A |

Disappointed! Our waitress did not check on us often or bring the food timely. The food was delicious. The bartender was excellent!

Great place for Date Night!

By The Church of Chuck YouTube Channel |

My wife and I celebrated my birthday here yesterday (05/33/2019) and it was a great experience! This was our first visit at this location. We have been to other Melting Pots and have LOVED them, and this locations is just as good! My wife made reservations the night before and ordered the romance package that included balloons and chocolates at our table upon arrival, a champagne toast with keepsake glasses, and a package of their signature chocolate dipped strawberries. A Wonderful experience and the entire staff was very friendly! The food here is incredible! Great quality food. We had the 4 course meal and every course just got better ad better! We started with the Classic Alpine Cheese fondue, which included white bakery style bread, honey wheat bread, pretzel bread, carrots, cauliflower, tomato, and granny smith apples. Everything paired very well with the cheese and was delicious! We both selected the California for our salad dish, and it is our favorite salad at The Melting Pot! Mixed greens with tomatoes, Gorgonzola cheese, candied pecans, and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The bitterness of the Gorgonzola and the sweet of the dressing is truly amazing! We chose the create your own entree (pick 4) and got the shrimp, ahi tuna, herb-crusted chicken breast, and Teriyaki marinated sirloin. Every single piece of meat was incredible! Well seasoned and flavorful. Our favorite sauces are the curry sauce, plum sauce, and green goddess. We finished with our champagne toast and our dessert fondue, which is one of the BEST desserts I have EVER had! We ordered the Cookies and Cream Marshmallow Dream fondue, and it is to die for! Dark chocolate with marshmallow cream and Oreo pieces flambeed table side. So rich, creamy, and delicious! It included rice crispy treats, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, chocolate covered marshmallows, pound cake, brownies, and blondes! OMG was it amazing!!!! A truly one of a kind dining experience with great hospitality and amazing food! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Birthday Celebration

I was a bit hesitant about eating here only because I love to eat and I thought I wouldn't be full but boy was I wrong. Every course was amazing. The zesty cheddar fondue was so good. Who knew apples, melted cheese, and bacon could taste so good. The meats were delicious and the white chocolate fondue was absolutely amazing. Our waitress LaKia was nothing but helpful and treated us well! The manager Bonnie was a delight as well. She was able to give us an even better chocolate fondue when they were out of our original order. Thank you so much Melting Pot!!!

A great place to eat and talk

There’s something about playing with ones food that makes for conversation. Two couples had a delicious meal and caught up on family stuff and current events. Our waitress was courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. We always enjoy fondu.

Typical Melting Pot Deliciousness

By myzygy |

Just down the street from Fox Theater, the Melting Pot is a leisurely dinner experience. We never felt rushed, nor did time lag. This was a great 2 hour dining experience shared with friends. Excellent service.

Very nice restaurant.

By Juan L |

Very nice restaurant. The servers were very helpful in explaining the menu options. Make sure you a lot yourself plenty of time if you get the 4-course meal. We almost missed our show at the Fox and we allotted 2 hours.

Service needs improvement

By bernieChicago_IL |

Was seated promptly. Waited a good bit before we had a server. She wasn't very organized. Never asked if we needed more drinks (refills). Circled around infrequently. When she lowered our tray of food, her face touched our fruit. I asked for a replacement. Never got it. Food was fine, service was definitely lacking. Spoke with manager, she wasn’t very apologetic or phased by our feedback. Guess they don’t need our business!

Great Pre-Theater Dinner

By Aubrey A |

My family and I made reservations here prior to catching a show at a nearby theater. The service was great, though we had to remind them that we were not in a hurry and had made reservations knowing how long dinner takes (our waiter was in a rush at the beginning of the meal). They were great about accommodating my dad's shellfish allergy. The food was excellent! This was my second time at this particular location (over the past 5 years), and it has been great service, atmosphere, and food every time. I will definitely return!

Fabulous restaurant!!!

By Leah C |

This is my favorite restaurant in the world to eat! I have eaten at other Melting Pot restaurants but I love this one best! Excellent customer service, the food is amazing and we love cooking our food and relaxing during a wonderful meal! If I could eat there once a week, I would! It is not cheap but it is worth every penny every time! I am a true fondue fanatic!!!!

Late lunch

By Roving544825 |

This Melting Pot was OK but as far as the waiter we had we felt a Lil rushed. The food we cooked was OK but once we got to the dessert our chocolate was cold he didn't warm it up only when he made it up! The overall experience was OK but not five stars!!!

Wonderful Anniversary

By Beth P |

I always pick The Melting Pot for our special occasions. This was our 10th anniversary & we invited out friends to join us. The food was AMAZING as usual and so was the service. We enjoyed loaded potato cheese, meats of all kinds— yummy lobster— and the chocolate was sinful. Thank you Kennesaw Melting Pot for another fabulous anniversary! The service, the food, and the atmosphere is always top notch. I can’t wait to come back. #ILoveTheMeltingPot

Special night with family

By Steve M |

We went on holiday weekend and parking was great, street side less than a block away. Made reservations and was seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter - Harry was very good. Service was a little slow. The food was great, the chocolate fondue was a hit. I had the lettuce wedge, best one I’ve had in years. The California salad was good as well. The pot stickers are worth having, although most of us are carnivores and had meat. The meat was well seasoned and tender.

Atrocious service

By LindaRisden |

Then food is the only thing why we would consider coming back. Went for our daughter's birthday and was very disappointed. We were given no utensils, nor napkins, the waitress took our drink order and then came back for our dinner order without bringing any drinks, which we ended up waiting a while for. We called over the manager who came back with the utensils and never returned to the table to verify everything was ok. The waitress then started the cheese fondue and put it in all one pot when there were 4 of us, and 2 of us had reach over the table to access the one pot. I asked for ice to refresh my drink, which I never received. The whole experience was terrible and recommend the district manager or franchise owner look into better training of staff.

Good food, Good fun

By MysticMtnHideaway |

This is more than eating dinner. The fondue and dinner is fun and yummy. Great for a couple, and fun for a group. It is a must experience.

Not worth the money

By christyb828 |

There were 8 of us, they set us at a big booth with only one way out, this was such a hassle when ppl needed to be excused. Our waiter was helpful but also disappeared on us for quite awhile. I understand it gets busy, but for 8 ladies, I think we were very easy going and patient. I had the 4 course dinner. I enjoyed the cheese and especially the chocolate dessert. The meat, that you just drop down in the broth you pick...not so much. I think they should cook that part of the meal and bring it to you and let you munch and take your time with the cheese and chocolate part.

Love fondue

By mbrr22 |

You mix and match your dinners. Great to share with others. Desserts were interesting and tasty. Probably not for a single eater.

Fabulous fondue!

By nicolecovington777 |

Our waitress was great and the food was, as my 9 year old says, "Amazing". We ordered the Wisconsin Trio cheese fondue and we loved it! Surprisingly, we loved apples dipped in it! They make it in front of you. We had salads next and we all had different ones (Kalifornia, Caesar, and something I can't remember) and they were all great. Then we had the main courses. We got the Coq Au Vin broth and everything was fabulous cooked in it. We tried a bit of everything: filet, shrimp, buffalo chicken, duck, pork loin, Teriyaki steak, etc. and we liked the filet, duck, and pork loin most although all were great. The duck and pork loin surprised us...it went so perfectly with the broth and had a really unique and wonderful flavor. Then we got the Smores chocolate fondue for dessert. They pour rum on it and set it on fire to toast the marshmallows so it was entertaining and delicious. They brought so much stuff to dip in it and it was all delicious but the brownies and fruit (strawberries, pineapples and bananas) were my favorite. One person with us liked the rice krispie treats dipped in it best. We enjoyed it so much that we bought their cookbook on the way out so we can dust off my old fondue pot and put it to use. Also, make sure to make a reservation. We showed up at 5:40pm on a Sunday night thinking there wouldn't be a problem and almost didn't get a table. They told us they were full until 7 with reservations and we asked if we could just wait 15 min. and see if any reservations don't show. I'm so glad we got in!

Great time

By rcacres |

We had such fun the first time we went, we wanted to share the experience with others. Didn't realize we were there for over 2 hours just enjoying the experience. Chris our waiter was informative and attentive. Food choices excellent and optional wine pairings for each course hit the spot.

Wonderful Leisurely Anniversary Dinner

Had not been to a Melting Pot in years. The experience here was top-notch. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We ordered the four course dinner and loved every course, from the Alpine Cheese fondue appetizer to the Dark Chocolate dessert.

Amazing dinner and experience! Staff is incredible and the quality of the meats, vegetables and desserts are top of the line. Definitely adding to the favorites list.

Very good for a pre-theater dinner

By RMWOLF |

The Melting Pot is very good as a pre-theater dinner location. The food was very good and the staff - service was even better. We each selected a 4 course dinner that included a three-cheese fondue. .Had a bottle of reasonably priced wine and we couldn't have been happier with the total experience. I would strongly suggest reservation as they do get busy on show nights.

Would not recommend this location.

By Themakingofthemiller |

This was a special trip for my daughters. It was a terrible experience. We ordered the big night out, service was terrible, server was confrontational, and we did not have time to eat the meat course due to the server's timing. We arrived for our 5:30 reservation and at 7pm, we had only received the cheese course and two wilted salads. Please go to the Duluth location if you must. Our check was $100 ... Varsity would have been better! Compliments to the valet man! He was amazing.

Wonderful!

By Member29325 |

The Melting Pot has become a favorite spot for me and my wife, and this Midtown location is no exception. It fulfilled all expectations! Parker provided great service with a fresh sense of humor, and the food was excellent as is customary with this chain. Highly recommended!

Best dinner night out in a while!!

By Red R |

The evening was perfect in every way! The ambiance was perfect; we had a quiet, enjoyable evening. The service (Liz was AWESOME) and the food was most excellent! The house teriyaki and gorgonzola sauces are to DIE FOR!! Yummy is just not the word to do this establishment justice for the food! We can't wait to go again!

Nice way to spend an evening with friends.

By SafariYoga |

This is a great option for meeting a friend for dinner as the format forces you to slow down and really enjoy the meal. We had a delightful time talking as we made our way through the courses. Our waiter did a great job of recommending the appropriate amount of food to order for the three of us. As it was, even with only two orders, we still had a small amount remain uneaten as portions were generous.

Fun and close to the Fox

By Liz L |

Delicious. You can finish in one hour to get to a play but recommend planning 1.5 hours so you can enjoy the experience. A huge amount of food. An entree is usually 4 different varieties of meat. I have found that they will substitute one of the items - like I don't like sausage and bring you more shrimp instead. Service is always fun and friendly. Good wine and you can order the large pour because you are walking to the theatre :)

Worst melting pot visit we've ever had

By AroundTheGlobe69 |

First let me say that my daughter and I love The Melting Pot. It's not fine dining but it's always a first choice for birthdays! And hubby goes along despite the fact that he's a true foodie. So we've eaten at many melting pots across several states. This one is the worst one we've ever eaten at. The first two courses were brought out on top of each other so you didn't have time to finish. The cheese course tasted out of balance. Then my daughter's chicken had a bad smell so she spit out several bites and ate some of mine. The waitress seemed oblivious to the fact that she picked up my daughter's plate with only a few bites taken. They tried to overcharge us on wine, charging us initially for a more expensive wine. Then our favorite dessert, white chocolate with amaretto---- she didn't light the pot to burn off the alcohol so it never truly heated/melted and never mixed well. Inconsistent cooking. A real disappointment for my 50th birthday for sure!!!!!

First Time

By JRHolm |

My husband took me Saturday night before we went to a show at the Fox. The food was good. Our service was good and I am looking forward to going back for another special occasion. My only suggestion is to read the menu carefully. We had never been and ordered the 4 course, steak lovers. We didn't pay attention to the types of meat. That is the only thing I would change.

Not My First Choice for Dining in Atlanta

By The_Midtowner |

Let's face it, we don't dine at fondue restaurants for the amazing food. We dine there for the experience. If cooking your own dinner in a cheesy cauldron is your idea of a great dining experience, then this is the place for you! The ventilation isn't all that great, and you do leave here smelling a little bit like your dinner. You'll find it's the standard tourist trap, so not generally a great place for any real intimate or special dining experience. It's also extremely expensive for what you get. But it's still fun to share the experience with friends. The dessert options are the best - hard to say no to a pot of dipping chocolate.

A MUST-TRY RESTAURANT!!

By foodiewithapassport |

The food was to die for especially the cheese and chocolate fondues. Our whole family and some friends greatly enjoyed the dinner. The service was very good and everyone was friendly. The overall experience was fantastic, like getting to watch them make the fondues in front of you, getting to cook your own meat and just being able to choose which fondues you want from a list of 20. I mean it when I say everyone must try this place at least one time before they die, you will not regret it!!

Fondue to go?

By canacht |

My cousin is visiting and we love the melting pot! I have been to this location multiple times and had good experiences in the past. It's a fun location and the food is always delicious. Our waitress Kari (not sure about the spelling) was very bubbly, but seemed rushed. We ordered a four course meal (cheddar cheese, Caesar salad, mojo broth, and dark pure chocolate desert). During the cheese course I brought the last bite of food to my mouth, as she took the plate out from under me. She was attentive during the service which I greatly appreciated, checking on us very frequently to see if we were happy. The chocolate was delivered and the check followed a few minutes after. We paid as we finished the last course like we were in a diner, not quite fine dining. We're still eating as she returned the credit card to be signed. Then she wished us good night. I was waiting to ask for a small box, but didn't see her. After about 20 minutes I got up and asked another waiter, who gave me a dirty to go box. It had some food residue in it, almost like Tupperware after it goes through the dishwasher without being rinsed first. So I got up and asked another waiter for a clean box. He scoffed at me slightly giving me a another box, (after waiting 15 more minutes) I thanked him- he ignored me. I gave 4/5 because I love the food. Great service would have made it 5/5. I will most likely just start going to the Kennesaw location.

Inferior experience

By Kgzipp |

Dined here recently with a large group. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived yet we waited for nearly ten minutes to be greeted by host. I have been to other locations and they did a good job of explaining the experience. This location did not at all so there was a lot of confusion from guests who had never been there. The server set the fondue pots wrong and left us to stir cheese that wasn't melting for ten minutes before realizing his mistake. On top of that service was extremely slow it was 2 hours between ordering and getting dessert. It's a poor representation of the brand and management needs todo a better job of training and staffing

A great day and a great memory...

By Michelle Y |

My daughter and I purchased the Beauty and the Beast Dinner and Show Package from The Melting Pot. What a great combination!!! My daughter and I really enjoyed the show, did not have to worry about parking (The Melting Pot provided $5 valet parking for the duration of the dinner and show- beyond reasonable for parking downtown), and had a nice, relaxing dinner with plenty of time to catch up with each other, laugh, and enjoy delicious food! The dinner package included three courses: cheese (with bread and vegetables), main dish (variety of meats and vegetables), and chocolate (fruit, pound cake, brownies, and more!) fondue. We were even asked if we liked all of the selections so we could opt for substitutes. Our seats at the show were fantastic. A great day and a great memory...

Melting Pot

By pat l |

I went here with friends because they wanted to go. Fondue is ok, but not the be all and end all. The food was good. I thought there was a lot for each person, but the price was steep so I expected a lot. We shared one meal between 3 of us, but we'd already been to a business reception so we had some appetizers before we arrived. The food was good - no complaints at all there. We did have a little bit of issue with the donenesss of the meat using our servers recommended cooking time. Raw chicken is pretty bad so we carefully checked in the low light and cooked it more.

Great food and service !

By Heavensangel2387 |

It was so much fun to go on a double date! It is a perfect, romantic setting. The service was great and the food was delicious! There were a lot more ideas to dip in cheese, chocolate, etc. Than I thought possible! Cannot wait to go back soon!!

Fun girls night out

By Sarah K |

I was lucky enough to win dinner for myself and 3 friends through a Facebook promo. I frequently visit the Roswell location (Matt is an excellent server there!) and always have excellent service and food, this time I went to the midtown location. The service was good (Parker was very fun!)and food was great as always. There are always great specials running, which is probably why I always suggest it for a fun night out. Thank you melting pot for a fun girls night and of course I would be happy to let you treat me to dinner or just chocolate again!! :)

A wonderful experience

By Jennyrg |

We completely enjoyed our four course meal tonight! The service was professional and informative. Each course was presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Anything you order will be yummy.

Hate it

By acappy300 |

I hate it when you are seated at a restaurant and then ignored as if you are invisible. We were seated, the restaurant was not busy. After 6 minutes (we were promptly seated for our 6:00 reservation and left at 6:06). 6 minutes might not seem likes like a lot of time but it is when 3 times the wait staff walks by and says and do nothing. I asked the hostess about service and she apologized and stated that she would help us. What type of service would we expect if the hostess helped us in addition to her ongoing responsibities? We left. This phenomenon has happened to frequently to a lot of people either before, during, after dinner - why?

Fabulous Fondue!

By Parisfuess |

The Melting Pot is a long time favorite of our family for celebrations and has always been an amazing experience. Last night was no exception.... Once again a fabulous meal and awesome service! We had a wonderful meal at the Mid Town location to celebrate our daughter's arrival for the holidays. The food and service were outstanding. If you are looking for a great place for a romantic dinner, Girl's Night Out, or fun with the family, look no further! The Melting Pot is the perfect choice!

Best time and great waiter!

By kathy r |

We had a ton of food and great time with a unique place with fondue! The waiter was exceptional and really knew his stuff! Ask for Brandon, he is friendly, knowledgable, and on the ball! Can't wait to come back! Great experience!!! Oh and the turtle chocolate was awesome!!!

Fun place

By Samina A |

Fondue is always fun, especially with friends and loved ones. The customer service is ok, not excellent, But overall no big complaints. Some of the vegetables tasted a little stale like they were from the previous day or something. We had to ask for a replacement. Their cake was a little stale too.

Overrated, over priced

By Kymberly H |

Went in with students late on Tuesday night. Forgot how expensive. Our waiter was friendly, but judged us for not ordering entree or more expensive selections. We just had 2 cheese and salads, the students were reluctant to order chocolate even though I encouraged them because it took so long. Have been here before, more of a couple or few friends place than a business dinner. The restaurant was deserted, but still took forever to get cheese fondue to table, not to mention salads.

Amazing clean friendly

By Heatherryanmorse |

My husband and I ate here for his birthday dinner! The staff was very helpful to us when we had to move our reservation time due to unforeseen time crunch. They were very friendly and remembered his birthday at the end of the meal. The food was amazing and even the bathroom was very clean!

A new experience for us

By ReidsonTour |

We really enjoyed our first fondue meal - we didn't realise the waiting staff make up the fondues you choose at the table. We liked the cheese and chocolate the best. Out waitress was nice and friendly, although we did feel the courses came a bit too quickly. It felt a bit rushed.
