This is our go-to special occasion/romantic dinner restaurant. It's pretty expensive (at least if you do the four course meal) but totally worth it. I can't even decide which type of fondue I like the most--cheese, broth, and chocolate are all equally amazing. The variety makes it great. You get to try tons of dipping items with all three types of fondue and tasty sauces with the entrées. The price stops us from coming here frequently, but I never get tired of eating here. It's just so dang good.

This was our third time to this restaurant and we brought friends who had never had a fondue experience. Needless to say they were impressed and had a wonderful time. We introduced them to the classic fondue experience. We had the stuffed potato cheese fondue, the regular fondue entree fare and, of course, the s'mores chocolate fondue for dessert. Everything was perfect other than the waitress knocked my water class over spilling the contents in my guest's lap. We all just laughed about it and continued to enjoy the evening. As usual, the food was excellent and since we cooked our own, the preparation was wonderful. The quantities of the various meats and vegetables is just right, but if you feel you need more veggies, just ask and they will gladly bring more.........we did. My one disappointment on this night was the lack of valet parking. The lot is very small, holding only about ten cars. The parking lot is not part of the restaurant and charges $3 per hour. I would always recommend at least allowing 3 hours to enjoy the full experience. As we left, I noticed a lot less than a block away for significantly less, so I suggest asking the restaurant people for parking suggestions.

We went to celebrate a family birthday which has been somewhat of a tradition over the last few years. Saturday night but not busy as it was Seafair weekend. Lengthy wait after seated for initial service (beverages) then to order our entree. Waiter admitted he was "overwhelmed" that evening and upon ordering and mentioning we would be using a Groupon were told "that's a problem" as our selection wasn't available when using a Groupon. I responded that we would forget about using Groupon as it was a birthday (later reading the Groupon fine print there were no such restrictions). Service didn't improve even after bringing it to the attention of a manager. Prices are still spendy yet the 3 course meal has been "toned down". There are plenty of other choices in Seattle for an event celebration - or even just a weekend dinner out - that offer better service, value, and anmbiance than this chain restaurant. Won't be back.

Overall it was ok, all the meat tasted the same after dipping. We had the appetizer cheese course with cheddar cheese that was good. My wife loved the apple bits in cheese. Fondue for the main course was okay but the different meats tasted the same. Dark chocolate fondue for dessert was good and asked for more fruit and less cake and marshmallows. Service was ok at best, seemed like she could have cared less to be there. other table made same comments on slow drinks...

For something "different" this would be the place to go. For cooking one's own food, I think it's on the pricey side. Eat there when you have copious time to kill. There's valet parking.

Overall, I had a good time at the Melting Pot in Seattle. The food was great and the service was fine. My girlfriend and I went with the full four course meal, which was a lot of food. Desert was delicious. The restaurant is a little pricey, but we knew that before we stepped through the door. Also, it takes time if you go for the full four courses. We were in there for approximately two hours. But once again, we knew that would be the case before getting there. If you are looking for a neat eating experience to share with others, the Melting Pot is a good choice. FYI, parking on nearby streets is free after 6 pm.

We recently had dinner with friends at the Melting Pot pre-concert. Food is good, a bit average but the experience is fun. Bar staff were not friendly, and bar service was slow, and drinks were stingy for the price. Overall it's a treat to do this place once every few years or so but service may be slipping.

Omg it was so awsome my favorite course is the choclate it is just awsome even the thought the price is high it is worth it U will have to go sometime :).

I have tried many types of fondues there and in my opinion, the bests are alpine cheese and pure milk chocolate!!! the service is very good, they are not a fast food, so go with time. They will prepare the meal at your table. Very good and yummy!

Friends and family ...fun /relaxing/ yummy dinner! The waiter was great! We had a nice 4 course dinner. Dessert was AMAZING!! Several cheeses/meats/sauces/veggies...and then the dessert w/fruit/cake/brownies/etc dipped into amazing choices of chocolate ~ Cheers for a great dinner & dessert!

This is a place to come to bring a friend you haven't seen in awhile. You will never be hurried out of this restaurant. You can chat catch up on the last 20 years or whatever while cooking your dinner over a fondue pot. The cheese fondue of course is a must and the dessert of course should not be missed. I always try and get the promotion via a Groupon to help with the defray the cost of the meal because it is a bit pricey without a special promotional price. . I love bringing my friends here to have a nice leisurely dinner while catching up on our lives. I have never had a guest not like it here either. The seating is high booths which give you alot of privacy to carry on private conversations or a the feel of a intimate romantic dinner too for a special couple celebration. The parking is a bit tricky but there is valet parking which is well worth it.

Came into town for Garth Brooks concert, was able to reserve a private table for our group that evening, very close to our hotel. Be prepared for an dinner experience ! By that I mean, this isn't a place you want to go to if you only have an hour. Its a great place to sit down, relax, have great conversation and eat a great meal. Prices are spendy, but you get ALOT of food ! Our waiter was "Lucky" and he was fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable and so kind. Our group each chose an entree so you got cheese fondue, salad, entree meal and dessert. The ceasar salad I got with mine was fantastic. I wasn't a fan of the particular cheese fondue our group chose, but that's just my personal taste. Next time I will try the one with not as strong cheese. For my main entree I got the "French Quarter" and it was amazing! As if all of that wasn't enough, dessert arrived.. we chose the Flaming Turtle chocolate fondue, SO GOOD. Will for sure be back with my hubby .. I love the fact that this restaurant encourages you to slow down .. to savor the food and the moments. Truly an experience that you don't get to have alot these days with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

My second time to a melting pot. It was as good as the first. Our server was very nice and the manager stopped to check on us. I love the ambiance and the food.

We got reservations for a 5 Course meal for New Year's Eve. You could optionally wear 1920's clothing. We got there early for our 6 pm reservations. The food was great, the pace was perfect, the portions were great, the drinks were on point. We had a great time. We would come here again.

Ok, so we were looking for an experience, it was my daughters 16th birthday. The cheese is pretty good, dessert was awesome. Entree, would never have again. So my suggestion, start the night here possibly with appetizer or end it with dessert. Now the poor rating comes from our service. Absolutely horrible! She disappeared all the time, was totally going through the motions, no personality, in a place like this where you are interacting so much with your customer, you've got to have the personality for it, by the way they were very very slow this night, being on a Tuesday, finally had to flag a server down that was obviously working his tables for our tab after waiting a good 15-20 minutes after we were well done with dessert. Plan on a 2-2.5 hour dinner. Would never recommend for younger kids. Overall, it's over rated.

My daughter and I stopped in with no reservation, for a late dessert after a long day. The service was awesome, the yin and yang chocolate fondue was so delicious and decadent, and did I mention the service was excellent? My reviews tend to reflect high expectations of customer care with few actually getting the job done well, and our server acted as if we were a high dollar ticket. Yes, I would go back...wait, yes I will go back. I hope they never get rid of the cheesecake or the marshmallows. Why are those so good in that chocolate???

Server was very nice and informative. Do not go if you are thirsty. Took over 20 minutes to get our first drink. When we ordered some wine with our dinner it arrived when we were almost done. We are two middle aged women, we asked the bartender if he would call a cab. There was no one at the bar at 10 pm on a Friday night. He pointed to the street and told us we could find a cab.

We had the appetizer cheese course with cheddar cheese and it was wonderful. I loved the apple bits in cheese. Fondue for the main course was okay but really all the various meat comes out tasting the same. Dark chocolate fondue for dessert was great but I would ask for more fruit and less cake and marshmallows.

If you've never been, you should know before you go that there is one pot for the whole table, so the table has to agree on certain things, such as what kind of cheese, what kind of sauce and what kind of dessert. Everyone can then pick their own kind of meal. It's a great place to talk and get to know someone, as you're cooking your own meal piece by piece.

Love the food. Fresh, yummy. Great bartender. Truly a unique dinning experience. Waitress was a little dingy, but she was cute.

It's a very appealing venue with polished, professional service and high-quality cuisine. There were seven of us (including three teens) at dinner, and everyone enjoyed the fun of dipping the cheese and dessert courses. The main course, by contrast, was a little tedious. Remembering the contents of each of the three separate cooking broths, and the cooking times for the various meats and seafood was ... well, it was tedious. In the end, it was a great experience and we are glad we went -- but I don't know whether we'd go again. As others have noted, it is really expensive.

This was our first time going to any Melting Pot and we purchased a Living Social deal to experience the Melting Pot. We tried to book our reservation several weeks in advance at all local locations, but was put on hold for 10+minutes or hung up on. Once I was able to get in touch with someone, I was told something different at all locations. One location would honor the voucher while another location stated that it is rendered useless once passed the expiration date. The Seattle location host made a statement in which shifted the blame to me for not booking it as soon as possible (mind you this is during a very hectic holiday season and I booked as soon as I could). I was able to find out that over 10,000 vouchers were sold to ALL Melting Pot locations for a very short amount of time to realistically accommodate all vouchers and for people to not lose out on this deal. I definitely think these deals were oversold and overbooked for patrons. I had not choice but to book at a much farther location (in Seattle while I live in South Tacoma) because staff members at all locations were disjointed where Seattle would honor the original price paid for it (not the original deal of $90 value) but Tacoma would not honor it at all. For us to have not experienced the deal at all and especially on our FIRST time to visit Melting Pot EVER, it really made me disappointed that we were not accommodated nor treated like the regular patrons we should (since we were redeeming a "Living Social" voucher). We still paid A LOT of money out of pocket when we were at a time to not able to truly afford it. I can say we honestly enjoyed the awesome food you guys offered, but were horrified how we were treated and cheated (while trying to redeem this voucher) out of something that we both were so looking forward to. I really want to visit your restaurant again and am hesitating to because of the whole ordeal we went through.

We had a blast at The Melting Pot! 3 couples, two pots, and a million drips accross the table.... definitely coming back for the delicious food and fun.

I had never been to a fondue restaurant before so this was a truly unique experience. Our waitress was wonderful. we chose the full four-course meal, which took a couple hours but was an enjoyable experience throughout. The food wasn't spectacular but it was very good. Definitely expensive but worth it in my opinion.

A fondue restaurant. Running from traditional cheese, meat, seafood and vegetables to fruit and sweets chocolate fondue. Good bar service and Sam did a great job as a server. Make a reservation in order not to wait.

Good food but expensive but worth the experience and waiter did a great job hosting, And the manager came around here and there to show his support on 2 birthdays!

Husband, both sons, and I went here to celebrate my birthday. Sons had the land and sea entres. Husband and I had steak lovers. We picked the cheese fondue with artichokes. The guys picked the Caesar salad and I picked the salad with the avocado. For dessert, we had the dark chocolate turtle. It was fabulous. Husband had a sweet tea cocktail. I had a basil and cucumber mojito. Both drinks were awesome. It was easy to park. The service was great. The bathrooms were clean. We love the Melting Pot.

Very expensive rip off establishment where the food is mediocre at best and the experience is national chain.

We have always wanted to eat at a Melting Pot restaurant. Most larger cities have one. We found the one in Seattle and decided to go there. We were at the Space Needle and found out that the Melting Pot was just a few blocks away so we walked. They are very much a Reservation place but we got there right at 5 pm so it wasen't a problem. The cheese fondue was delicious and the dessert course was delicious. I was not as thrilled with the entree course. You have a base and you end up cooking your own pork, lobster, steak, veggies etc... I was not a fan of that part. I guess I would have liked to have it cooked and dip it into something. I did really love the cheese part though. It is also pretty spendy but since we were on the company dime it was ok to try once.

The meal started out with our waiter interrupting us repeatedly and or not hearing that we were very familiar and did not need the dissertation on the food. Finally we ordered, and after ordering a pomegranite martini the bartender actually came out and questioned whether I wanted a cosmo instead... No I ordered a martini. That was just the start sadly. Our waiter was so busy the manager had to make our cheese and due to having forgotten the garlic and having to go back for it, the wine had evaporated so he was going to skip some of the cheese because there was not enough liquid for all of it (didnt we pay for all of it?) Ok then. We said just add more brandy and give us the cheese which he did. He also added cracked pepper without asking and while we both like cracked pepper, traditional cheese fondu does not have cracked pepper IN the cheese. We had not yet finished the cheese when our salad was rushed at us early enough to make me ask the waiter to please slow down on our meal. (Uh oh...) Eventually the broth was brought out and set on our table and was heating up when the waiter for the table next to us placed his platter of their desert on the bar dividing the tables rather than using a fold out holder. I knew what was coming next. Sadly, he took something off one side and the whole tray went flying onto our table and the floor. A new broth was brought to replace it after they cleaned up the mess. The manager did check with us and make sure we weren't hurt, that did not make up for the experience which was why we went. After an eternity our cooking style was ready and our main course brought out. By this time we were just ready to leave but we had ordered the entire meal and had to sit (me personally all wet from the spill) through the remainder. After finishing our meal it took another eon beofre the desert menu was brought out and again the waiter did not seem to want to listen that we knew already what we wanted. After finishing desert, we AGAIN waited for the bill (beyond ridiculous now) which we had a gift card and a 25.00 bonus coupon. He must have figured we didnt want the balance on our card because he never returned. Finally we figured he just wasnt coming back and left. A most disappointing experience. To top it off, when changing the dishware to little white plates from the former little silver platters, they also reduced the portions quite a bit which was even more disappointing. Wow. Bring it back up to par people. This is an EXPENSIVE restaurant which we drive an hour to visit only to get what we got.

The food as always is great there, though expensive as always. The service though is poorer than normal. I prefer the melting pot in Tacoma better. At least there the waitress doesn't forget about you and the hostess greets you when you come and leave as well. Melting pot Seattle forgets you and not really good service.

I was not happy with my visit. I should have read other reviews outside of TA. If you really want to go, then go and I hope it works for you. I should have known something was up when the place is half empty.

My lone venture in fondue dining was here. I'm still wanting to go back, but I want to figure out a way not to eat myself sick like last time. It's surprisingly great.

I highly recommend their happy hour over sit down dinner, but their sit down booths are nice too. They have incredible cocktails as well, I love their yin/yang martinis. While the food used for dipping food is somewhat average, the fondue blends (cheese, chocolate, etc.) themselves are quite nice though volume of fondue is low. It's not worth the cost to just dip your food in hot oil - go for the cheese. It's a fun experience, but is a bit overpriced for the amount of food that you get. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND utilizing their valet services so you're not only guaranteed parking, but you don't have to worry about holding up the line. The Seattle location is difficult to navigate to if you haven't been to the area before and finding street parking will be impossible around there. The Bellevue location has a better parking situation. Service is always excellent at both locations, food has good flavor. The only reason not 5 stars is the price and portion size.

So driving down from Vancouver to Seattle to drop someone at the airport we had heard about the Melting Pot. We are cheese lovers and thought what better place to have dinner, cheese, steak, etc. Made a reservation for 5 people at the Seattle Location. The waiter explained how it all works but after 15 minutes we still had no idea what was about to happen. We ordered two cheese fondues. You have two burners on the table and he made the fondue for us. Basically they bring you the following to dip into the cheese: Stale bread, carrots, raw potatoes, cherry tomatoes and celery. 5 people ate the fondue in two minutes and had to fish out the still raw potatoes that fell off the fork. Then came the main course, the waiter told us that the portions were big enough to share!! We ordered two three course meals. One with steak, chicken and shrimp. The other duck, pork and chicken. What a joke, literally four tiny pieces of steak, four shrimp and three pieces of chicken for $31.00 US. And the best part they are all RAW and you have to again cook them yourself in new pots filled with some kind of soup already made in the kitchen. But don't worry the waiter tells you to make sure you cook it well or you can get sick from raw meats What a joke five people ate in ten minutes and we were still starving at the end. We declined the chocolate fondue as I am sure it was maybe a Hershey Kiss per person. This place is a joke and a rip-off. If I need to cook myself I rather stay home.

I have come here for both the dinner and the happy hour. both are AMAZING! I came here most recently for their 5,5,7 happy hour promotion. ($5 a person for a cheese pot, $5 salad, $5 beer or wine and $7 for dessert). A word of advice though, when you come for happy hour, order everything upfront and have them bring the check. that way they can't try to charge you full price while you're ordering at the happy hour prices (didn't order dessert until 7 mins after happy hour ended and the price jumped up to $17 for chocolate!!!) a pricey mistake. I ordered the spinach and artichoke cheese, with a caprese salad, Elysian Men's room red on tap, and the flaming turtle for dessert. The Mens room red goes PHENOMENALLY with the spinach and artichoke cheese! a heavenly combination, i highly recommend trying it.

We went to this establishment for the first time on a Saturday with reservations for 4:30. Our server was excellent (this definitely makes a difference), very friendly, personable, and walked us through the menu (which is daunting). The meal was very good and we were stuffed well before the dessert. A couple of comments I've noticed in other reviews speak to the wait, price, and meal. In terms of wait, get a reservation! Don't just walk in and expect to be immediately seated and served. Our server had three tables and he was constantly hustling back and forth and our meal took two hours from start to finish. Price is on par with the service, ambiance, and selection of entree. The meal presentation was excellent and quite tasty after a good soak in the pot. Overall it was a very nice dining experience and we plan to go again.

The portions of food were tiny. The cocktails were almost mocktails. They were very weak. It’s disrespectful of customers to serve weak drinks. Thank goodness our server was a delight. She was funny, she joked, she made the experience worth it. It will be a very long time before we go here again. I will say the location is convenient and in a great neighborhood.

I went to The Melting Pot for the very first time and found it to be delightful. I went on a Groupon deal, which was nice and cost-effective. I had purchased a dinner for two coupon, and it was just lovely. We had a great waiter (Matt) who was training someone new that evening. Everything was explained to us and I liked the choices we had to chose from. We started our evening with a lovely glass of wine (they have a nice selection of wines and beers and cocktails). We got our choice of 1 of 4 salads to start. The entrees can be cooked in any of 4 or 5 choices of cooking liquid - broth, wine, oil, etc... I opted for the oil because that is what I've had at a similar place I went to years ago. Then we had a choice of several meats (beef, poultry, seafood or vegetarian options) and it comes with a side of veges for cooking. Our stuff came with 2 kinds of dipping batters (I used the tempura a few times, but most of the time I put my meat in "naked" - no batter - just straight into the oil). It also came with 5 or 6 sauces to dip your cooked food in. Then we had chocolate fondue for dessert, but you also have several choices for that as well. Since dark and milk chocolate keep me up at night, we opted for a white chocolate option (bananas foster), which was delicious. They bring you several little bites to dip in this as well - brownie bites, marshmallows, rice krispy treats, and fruit (pineapple tidbits, bananas, strawberries). We had the option of a cheese fondue course, but believe me, we had PLENTY of food! Everything was very good. There is a nice ambience in the restaurant, clean and nicely decorated. Wait staff and hostess friendly. All in all, a very good experience. I would definitely come back and bring a friend or date.

We were attending a show at Key Arena and coming from Woodinville arrived a bit too early ... so went in search of a place to acquire a libation. The establishment is located off of Mercer street with the entrance on the alley --- thus we found the small 7-10 seat bar area empty ... whereas other establishments on Mercer were all full with lines ... A sleeper.

The atmosphere is very warm and calming. The lighting is low, there are a lot of rich earthy tones decorating the place. The waiter was very calm and friendly, very professional. The food was excellent, very tasteful and well prepared.

the atmosphere is fun, but not enough vegetables for cheese fondue, service agreement was limiting and frustrating to guests who had to figure out their bill.

Finally made it to the Melting Pot after wanting to try this place for years. I was a little worried after reading many negative reviews. I can see that with the labor intensive set up of the meals, the wait staff can make or break the experience. I am glad that we gave the place a chance because the experience was overall very good. Our waitress was attentive and explained how to order and what the options were. I was glad I had read enough reviews to know we could ask for more bread or veggies with the cheese fondue. This was not mentioned in advance but when I asked for more bread she returned with it quickly & then offered us more veggies as well. We ordered the swiss fondue, it was delicious and fun to watch her make it tableside. The bread was not stale - it seemed just right for the fondue. If it were soft like wonderbread it would not work very well for dipping. There was a dark whole grain type bread as well as french bread. The veggies were fresh, with the exception of some discoloring on the cauliflower. The only disappointment of the night was the salad. Some of the greens were fine looking but about half on the plate looked wilted. It was a very small salad for $7 or $8. Next time I will skip it because it really wasn't worth it. The 2 of us who ordered salad shared with the one who didn't. He may have taken the lions share of the best greens from the 2 plates, but there's still no excuse for a restaurant to serve salad that looks like it should have been thrown out days ago. The entrees - there were 3 at the table and 2 ordered a 3 choice combo. This was perfect, we still wound up with way too much food. Odd though that a lot of shrimp came with that choice but only a few tiny slices of andouille sausage. My brother ordered the filet mignon & raved about how it was as tender as butter. Our waitress gave us very clear instructions which items cooked for 90 seconds and which to cook for 2 minutes. Also the importance of avoiding cross contamination with raw food - I could see how important these instructions are because who wants to get food poisoning! My son & brother ordered the entree course, I had a piece of shrimp & a mushroom potsticker. I was already starting to get way too full after just the cheese fondue. I did want to save room for dessert - I was the only 1 of the 3 at the table to order it. It was a very generous tray of fruit and sweets like marshmallows, rice crispy treat pieces, cheesecake, brownie bits & pound cake that was served, even with just 1 order. I wonder if the waitress may have given us extra? Ordered the dark chocolate fondue and it was quite good. Even with 3 of us sharing one order we still left some. No complaints about freshness of the fruit - the strawberries & bananas were perfect. Also the apple slices that came with the cheese fondue. I have never been so full in my life, but it was excellent. I can't imagine the capacity of some who write reviews & complain that the food was skimpy. It was expensive but delicious and worth it, for a special occasion. I would definitely recommend this place and also return. I think next time though I will only order the cheese and dessert fondue. It's nice to go with a few people to share - and to order fewer dishes or entrees than diners. Also a way to keep the expense to a dull roar. We used 2 living social coupons totaling $90 (never able to get in while the deal was offered, so at least they still honored face value of the coupon) and with the tip it was still nearly $60 over for 3 of us.

always a huge fan of this chain

My husband and I took our daughter (16) here. Upon walking in the door my daughter took one look at the menu and exclaimed "Mom we can't eat here! This is way too expensive!" My husband and I are total foodies and when we can sneak away we are always trying different upscale places so we thought this was pretty funny. We explained to her that this is the kind of places we like to eat when we go out. Her reservations soon vanished when the cheese course came out. We ordered "The big night out" for two because the server told us that it would be more than enough food for the three of us and she was right. We had so much fun and the food was fabulous! On the way out my daughter said "This is my new favorite! I can't believe you guys do this without me!" With drinks and salad the bill was $120 before tip which some may feel is too much but I absolutely felt that it was worth every penny. I can't wait to go back!

My poor niece, she planned this dinner party for months. When her limo dropped her and some friends at the front door of the Melting Pot in Seattle, she had no idea that her 40th birthday party had just took a turn for the worse. She and her friends arrived a little early to make sure everything was ready to go. She had made reservations months in advance as this dinner was such a big deal to her and she wanted to make sure that this would be a night to remember. When she was told her table wasn't ready, they took a seat at the bar only to find out that they would not service her party until they moved to the table so they wouldn't have to transfer their checks. Ok, that's weird. Shortly after they were finally seated at the table me my husband arrived. After listening to everyone complain about not receiving their drink orders I decided to go to the bar and get my own glass of wine, the bartender was nice and started pouring my wine. That’s when the manager and a waitress walked up and started searching for a bottle of fireball. After 10 minutes or so of endless searching by all three staff, I was still waiting for my glass of wine and to get cashed out. The waitress was begging the manager to just get something else so she could continue her service. I found out later that the fireball order came from our table and he ended up with a whiskey and coke. Let's take a moment to break down the meal that we would eat over the next hour or so. Several small pieces of bread - $5.00 max. A smaller portion of small vegetable chunks - $10.00 max, the potatoes included in the vegie mix tasted dirty. The melted cheese we had for dipping the bread and vegies - $15.00 max. Next were the meat hunks; teriyaki chunks, plain beef, and also some of us had a little lobster - $60.00 max for all meat for all of us. There were some dipping sauces and we used oil and beef broth (yuk) to cook our meat. For a party of 10, I would say the food probably cost them about $100.00. Our bill was over $1,000.00. Although, we did order drinks and 2 cheap bottles of wine. The manager later said (I will get to that in a moment) that you are really paying for the experience. This is the experience we received from our waitress: She first addressed our party; well, since 5 people cancelled, this is this is your menu (was she mad about losing out on her 18% mandatory gratuity for 5 people?) She didn't seem friendly the rest of the night. When we were paying our bill, I asked her to split it between the 5 parties, she didn't remember what each person ordered (restaurants now-a-days have quick bill generator software) and so it took another 45 minutes for us to get out of there. My niece of course wrote a letter to their corporate office just to let them know of her disappointing 40th birthday. The Seattle manager did call her but she asked me if I would call them back on her behalf. The manager I spoke with was very cordial and explained that they hired him because they were aware of the continuing complaints and downhill trend they were experiencing. He asked for my email address and said that he would treat my niece and me to an endless buffet, on the house, if we would come in and try it again (although, would you really eat at a restaurant where you just complained about the staff?). He told me we would receive complementary coupons the next day in an email. I have not heard from him since nor have I received any emails. I also want to note that when we arrived for this dinner, there was one other party of 2-4 people in the entire restaurant, when we left the restaurant there were maybe 3 other parties in total.

The meal we had here was so bad it was comical. If anything, we were incredibly entertained by how terrible the food and service was. Our waiter seemed to care a little bit at the beginning of our meal, but as it progressed, he checked in on us less and less. We were hardly provided with water, which we desperately needed because the fondues sauces were so salty. The cheese course came with stale bread and dry precut vegetables that came out of a plastic bag, The waiter offered me gluten free bread, but came back with cheap chips that look like they were brought in an employee's lunch box and not at all intended to go with dinner. When it came to our main course, our waiter dropped off our Cajun fondue and left it boiling for a good 45 minutes. As we sat their getting salty facials, we kept wondering where he was with the food that was intended to be our main course. I got out of the booth and finally found him. When I asked him where he had been, he said that he was in a team meeting. In the end, we ended up paying over $200 for 3 people. It was a terrible value and I question how this chain is still in operation. I would never, ever go here again.

We went to the Melting Pot in search of a nice romantic fondue-based dinner. We were not disappointed. The quality of the food was excellent. Our waitress was exceptional and answered all of our questions well. The prices are very competitive. We will be back!

Delicious four course meal. Come hungry. Meal starts with a cheese fondue selection for the table. Served with bread, apples and veggies. We had the Wisconsin selection and we were very happy with it. Next, each person selects their own salad. I had Caesar and found it to be good. Next... each person selected up to three meats. I loved the rubbed pork best. My husband's favorite was the filet mignon. Flavoring is selected for the table. We had the mojo seasoning. No complaints. Many dipping sauces are served. Fun trying them all. Lastly... a chocolate fondue for the table is selected. We chose the peanut butter chocolate with no regrets. The chocolate is served with a variety of items to dip. I liked the pineapple best. My husband's favorite was the strawberries. Allow two hours to enjoy your meal You can't hurry through this one. It will cost plenty so take the extra time to enjoy.

The "4 Course" is the only way to go! The most difficult part is to not fill up until you reach the entree. Bring your adult friends for a memorable dinner... and ask for Mark! A once in a lifetime experience!

We were 2 people. First we ordered a cheese fondue for like $11 and it was nice. Then we ordered a chocolate fondue (~ $11. Pure Chocolate fondue). I asked him if he could get a mix of milk and dark chocolate and he said yes. I When he bought it to the table, chocolate was very less. So I asked the waiter "could you get some extra chocolate?". "sure I will" was his reply. After 15min or so, he just bought a whole new chocolate fondue. WTF. And when he got the cheque, he charged me for FOUR chocolate fondues. He says because I asked him to mix milk and dark, that counts as two chocolate fondues. And "extra chocolate request" got me charged for another two chocolate fondues. I feel cheated. I ended up paying almost $52 where while I felt I ordered just one cheese and one chocolate fondue which would be around $24. When I asked the waiter about wrong bill, he says "prices displayed in the menu is PER PERSON". PS: When I ask for some extra chocolate, it is pure common sense to ask me if the waiter intends to get another plate of Chocolate fondue. BE VERY CAREFUL GUYS. PLS ASK THE PRICES BEFORE HAND.

Arrived at Melting Pot on a Thursday night at 10pm and finished at midnight. We were probably the only couple in the restaurant but at no time, did we feel rushed and our server, Louis, was accommodating throughout. He's the only reason I rated the restaurant higher. Fiance and I both had the 4 course experience. Traditional Swiss fondue with apples and bread was excellent. California and Spinach salads were ok. For the spinach salad, I felt like I got more bacon bits than actual salad. Had the Bourguignonne booking style with the Seafood Trio and Land and Sea options. You don't get a lot of the meats and we couldn't really taste any marinade on the meats or chicken. We knew it was a deep-fried style but the batter just didn't stick on and we reluctantly trudged through this course and regret picking this cooking style. Dessert was cookies 'n' cream which was good but extremely sweet. First time to Melting Pot and I'd probably only return if they had specials or promotions for their cheese fondues. Otherwise, I'd probably spend my money elsewhere.

The food was good. We always get the surf and turf. We try to get there late so that way parking is free and it is not crowded.

Visited with my grown-son. We thought it sounded interesting but were disappointed. We were made to feel un-welcome as we didn't have a reservation, they grudgingly sat us in a dark booth. The food was only so-so despite their attempts to serve with flourish and certainly not worth the prices. We can say we tried it, but I won't be back.

Came here with my boyfriend to share his first melting pot experience ! It was amazing !!!!!we had great food and got the special lovers meal and I ordered the cupids kiss ! I think are servers name was Carrie or Karen she was blonde I asked for her name last night but I forgot ! It was an amazing experience .

This was a great dining experience. You get to be interactive with your food and dip, cook, and eat everything. The staff is great and explain all the choices on the menu. Valet parking saves on the stuggle to find a place to park. A must visit in Seattle.

I made a reservation days before hand for our anniversary. I did not mind that it took 3 and a half hours to eat dinner, but the fact that 2 hours of that was us waiting to see someone so that we could ask for help, that was the problem. Costumer service people! When we arrived they were not ready for us, we were seated 15 min after our reservation time but that’s not to bad. We sat at our table for 30 minutes before we finally asked someone walking by if we could have some water. We got our starter about an hour and 15 minutes after being seated. Half way through, what should be called “ our dinning experience” the lights get turned all the way up. We wait another 30 minutes to see someone walk by and ask if they can turn the lights back down, we are then told another party asked to have it up so there is nothing they can do. At this point we had not seen our server in some time and we were ready to leave, but had not received our desert. We ordered the almond chocolate fondue and the cheese cake add on. We did not get to order with our server because he seemed very busy and not interested in helping us to say the least, so we asked a nice girl walking by and she took the order for us. 35 min later our waiter brings some chocolate fondue while apologizing he puts the fondue on and proceeds to tell us they did not have the almonds for it but does not offer to have us change the order???? Then starts apologizing again because they only have half of the add on we asked for, but yet again continued to give us the half they did have. At this point I thought it could not get any worse and I asked for my check. Now this just topped it off... when I received our check we had a 20% gratuity add on... FOR A TWO TOP that received close to no service?! And an addition 3% surcharge. So not only am I paying for half the food I did not receive ( the desert add on) but I am also paying for the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Unfortunately I do not have one good thing to say about this experience. We will never be going back.

I've been to the Melting Pot in Seattle and Bellevue. Both locations are very nice. The full dinner is rather expensive, but you can go for the chocolate only. They give you fruit, cake, marshmellows and cookies. I love the white and dark chocolate mix. YUMMY!

Took a friend out for her birthday. We had both been before but it had been awhile. As other reviewers have stated, it is all about the experience and the fun. The cheese and the dessert courses are the best. Keep in mind that with it being fonue, basically the main course is boiled bits of meats and veggies. The sauces are great and really enhance what is cooked, but again, it is boiled bits of meat. Not that exciting. Plan lots of time because it is a placce that you will want to linger and enjoy. We were there almost 2 hours. It is spendy but worth it for the experience. They automatically add 18.5% gatuity onto the bill. I really hate that.

Avoid eating at the Melting Pot at all cost, surcharging you 3% on top of their already over priced menu. The Owner is contributing to anti Livable Wage efforts in Seattle/Washington. Seems to have enough money to give to politicians, but not hard working employees!

This was not typical of The Melting Pot and our whole family was disappointed. We went to celebrate our 15th anniversary with our two teenagers. It was Sunday night, 5 pm and not crowded when we arrived. We had made reservations and were on time. We sat down and had to ask that the music be turned down a bit as it was blaring. After ordering, the waiter came to make the fondue. The burner wasn't hot enough and it took an unusually long time to melt the cheese and when he finally decided it was done, it was still lukewarm. Our salads came and we continued with the cheese fondue. We had not finished either when the waiter came back with the broth for the main course, shoved the cheese off the burner and put the broth on instead... We clearly weren't ready and it made those on the end of the table have to reach past the broth to the cheese.. to make things worse, he then disappeared for an eternity. When he finally returned with the remaining ingredients for the cooking style, he mixed them in with none of the usual Melting Pot flourish and then proceeded to put the potatos into the broth without even asking. He once again disappeared and we sat waiting for additional sauces (the food was finally eaten without them even though he did eventually bring some out) At some point during this part of the meal he came and asked what desert we wanted. as he slapped the desert menu into my daughter's hand. I asked "can we at least finish the dinner first?" and mentioned I was really feeling rushed and had felt that way through the majority of the meal. Well he showed me. We sat there without anything to drink, dinner complete, in the middle of all the dirty dishes. When he did come back to get the desert order, he left us sitting with the dirty dishes. The desert chocolate was then relatiely cold when we got it. I have only had one bad experience prior at The Melting Pot and that was due to parents with bad manners bringing in a screaming baby, not due to the establishment or the service. I was completely appalled by the service we got which in turn made what otherwise would have been a good tasting meal, cold, lacking sauces, and basically unacceptable. I would have told a manager, but none happened by (also unusual) and I wasn't going to seek one out. I recommend asking for any server besides Michael. If you are going to pay 270.00 for a dinner, it should definitely come with great service. Again, we eat here for many special occassions a year and have had only 1 por experience prior. This was not typical...

This was a birthday dinner for my wife with our best friends. We used a groupon coupon for 4 and always worry how the they view groupons. We were treated great and of course the food was super! Service was some of the best we have had in a long long long time we even got a tour of their wine cellar from the manager Ryan. He noticed us drooling all over the glass (lol) and spent a long time telling us all about it.. was an unexpected treat. Cant wait to go back !!

Restaurant was quiet, not usually a great sign. Food was ok, but we ran out of cheese in the melting pot! We had dessert - chocolate which was better. But it’s not cheap, meal plus a drink each was $100. Tap beer was off!

The food was great, as was the experience. This is similar to Kobe's steakhouse - it's a production, and you need to take your time to enjoy the food and the company you're with.

Sinful yet so good

We were looking for a quick good dessert and this place delivered! We got the s'mores fondu and man was it good!!

Very nice place, although it is a little dark inside, but some might like that. It has the ring of a 1970's restaurant. Overall, it is a lively, fun, delicious experience. We had the Swiss Fondue to begin with and then went with the Surf and Turf combination with chicken broth, and it was outstanding. The little sauces you get really bring out the best of the various flavors of the food. Watch out though, the little poker things you put the food on get really HOT! Nothing bad to say about this place, at all.

We happened upon this restaurant when we were joining several friends at the Keys on Main venue which no longer serves food. Hidden down an alleyway behind two other restaurants this was an extraordinary find. A large, attractively designed and decorated restaurant with a nice bistro/bar section (in which we were seated) with large windows (with unfortunately no view) and a fireplace and nice background music - we loved this place. (However, they could turn off the television in the lounge - nobody was looking at it and it detracted from the ambience). We shared a cheese fondue ( surprised) and two glasses of pinot noir - all a great price - with great service and great conversation (ours). Highly recommend it as a comfortable, quiet, and romantic neighborhood spot. A great find.

I have been to this same chain restaurant in Maui and its was OK. This time the food was so much better and the waiter with his presentation was a lot of fun. Would go back for sure

Our server tried to add bottles onto our tab. :(

The staff and service was great. The food was pretty good but I've had much better for the money. This place is spendy for the portions that you get however I guess if you want to pay for a 4 course meal you'll get to enjoy all 4 courses because of the small portion size. Overall I'm glad that I had the experience but I wouldn't pay the price to go back. Oh, also they don't validate parking so you have to pay $10 to valet.

bad, weird

Third trip to the Melting Pot. Quality of food and atmosphere is tough to beat, although we waited 2.75 hours for our dinner, the salads and appetizers kept us from flipping tables out of hunger. It is an experience, dont go if your in a hurry or wanting to eat anytime soon on busy Fri/Sat nights......

I don't know where to start. First course was cheese with stale breads and old vegetables. Then the fondue is over. We were totally confused by the entree but turns out you get to boil your bits of raw vegetables in vegetable broth. For $31. Especially great because I'm a vegetarian and had to share this boiling stock with someone cooking raw meat. Dessert was nice. We had two (warm, weak) drinks each and the bill was over $200. Most overpriced, underwhelming restaurant experience of my entire life. I genuinely hate myself for going here.

Never been to Portland. Never heard of Melting Pot before. Never had fondue in a restaurant before. Made reservations, walked in the rain, went down a stairway as if descending into a pot. Warm place, low lighting, felt cozy. All the staff appeared to be in their early 20's. The menu was exceedingly complicated. We finally just went with the recommendation for the 4-course meal though it was pricey and we didn't really need so much food. But I thought of the beggar who'd stopped us on the way there asking if we had. He was a large, healthy young beggar. So if he stopped us again he'd be singing hallelujah about the leftovers. The meal was fatigueing. The waitress we spent so much time with lacked any special talent with people. She wasn't annoying, but her frequent presence added no value. Already I was tired from a long day traveling and the time difference was 2 hours. So by the time we got to the chocolate it was nearly midnight my time. We packed up all the extra food. Got lost walking back to the hotel, so missed the beggar's corner. The leftovers made a good brunch the next day.

Best waiter, great food, awesome desert! Had a great time for daughter's 16th Birthday. Fondue was top notch, cheese was amazing, meats were terrific. Just had a really great time. yes, it took 3 hours, but it is supposed to!

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner there. Ordered the fixed menu ... good food, a great ice breaker for the folks there. Service was "ok"

We went here after the Nutcracjer and it was just about to close. We almost turned away but a really nice server welcomed us in and even let us have extra fruits and whatnot for desert seeing as they were just gonna be thrown away. He was super funny and the place was really clean, I love the environment there:) I really want to go back

Service was uneven. Waited 20 minutes to be seated even with a reservation and another 20 to see a server, who then told we should have come 1/2 hour earlier to get to nearby concert in time(!). Once service commenced it was excellent, but abbreviated. Then, halfway throough meal, service ceased to exist again (?). and we had to waive down a waiter. Food was good but overrated. $150+ to cook my own dinner? We ere very willing to spend some $$$ for a good meal with good service. Bar and service there was excellent. Would recommend just a cocktail and appetizer before concert.

Fun place for a date. The food and service were fine, though the prices were rather high for the quality of the food.

Excellent place to eat, lots of variety of items to eat. Lil pricey but delicious. It is worth it.

Didn't know a reservation for a Sunday night was required, but we were still able to sit in the bar and order off of that menu. No meats or fancier stuff but got the basics and salads. The hosts weren't the most enthusiastic but the bartender made up for it, good service from him, and they have Manny's on tap, it just makes any kind of dinner experience better. I'll go there again, maybe not next time I'm in Seattle and I'll remember to make a reservation.........

Took my 9-year-old here for a special treat dinner while my husband was out of town on an extended business trip. We started with cheddar cheese fondue, which we both felt was our least favorite course. We don't usually eat so much cheese at once and it was a bit overwhelming. They are generous with the bread provided for dipping and we ate some of it plain, along with some of the fresh veggies & apples, when we'd had enough of the cheese. For the entree course, she did chicken while I did lobster & beef. She really liked the chicken and tried & liked my lobster. As you might imagine, the dessert course was the big hit. My daughter was in heaven with all the items presented for dipping in the chocolate! We both felt overly full at the end, even though we ate over the course of 2 hours. We decided that if we went again, we would skip the cheese fondue and just do entree and dessert. Service was excellent--very attentive and pleasant. It was definitely a wonderful treat!

i've always really enjoyed eating at the melting pot, my wallet on the other hand... the place is a bit expensive, but it's delicious and so fun! from the cheese at the beginning of the meal to the best part (the chocolate at the end), it's a real treat to have such an interactive meal. i only go here for special occasions though, since it can be quite pricey, especially with a big group. it would be worth it, though, to come just for the chocolate fondue.

First time at the Melting Pot. The service very attentive and friendly the restaurant had quite a dated feel. We went with the Alpine cheese fondue with gluten and non gluten breads and both had 3 picks from the dinner meat fish fondue selection and selected coq au vin cooking style. Everything good and meats, shrimp, and ahi tuna very tasty. The groupon saved us a great deal on what would have been a slightly surprisingly expensive meal $183 without the groupon $79 with. Decent bottle of Italian Toscana wine at $38. To be honest wouldn’t go without a groupon for this reason but a fun experience nevertheless.

We went to The Melting Pot for a cheddar cheese appetizer and drinks prior to going to a concert at the Key Arena. I love that this restaurant is within walking distance of the Key Arena. I requested more vegetables and fruit (rather than bread) because of my gluten sensitivity. Our server was very kind and provided excellent service. The cheese fondue was very good as were our drinks. So glad we found this place. Will return next time we are in Seattle. Looking forward to trying the chocolate fondue next time!

The food was just OK, but the bill was huge. If you are looking for a somewhat eccentric place with ordinary food served fondu-style, then this is it - I wouldnt recommend it, however. There are much better places in the same area for the same or less.

Interesting but a bit over priced.

Ok, so it is expensive, but it is fun. I went there for a girls night out with my daughter who is four years old. She liked the apples with the cheese fondue. very yummy. The location is great, we walked to the Ballet after eating and they allowed us to leave our car there. Valet parking was 7 dollars, we were parked there for 5 hours, cheap for Seattle! I had a Blackberry margarita, delicious.

The food here is simply out of this world. Cooking the meats and vegetables yourself at your table with a variety of boiling broths leaves only you to blame if its over or undercooked! DON'T MISS THE CHOCOLATE FONDUE DESSERT!!! Great for herbivores, omnivores or chocovores!

The Melting Pot is so much more than what I expected. It is located in lower Queen Anne Hill and is much bigger on the inside than looks from the outside. It is intimate and cozy with great ambient lighting and has private tables as well as bigger tables for larger parties. What you notice first is a warming trivet in the center of your table that they put the fondue pots on to keep them warm. Yes I said pots! Our three course meal started with the broth course, moving on to the cheese course and finishing with the chocolate course. Each course is served with a variety of foods unique to it's fondue. You also pick from a "flavor" themed menu that has specific spices that flavor each fondue specifically. It is a one of it's kind experience. It is a little pricey costing around $125/person so plan accordingly and it does take a few hours to enjoy your meal. This experience is not for anyone who is in a hurry or on a budget.

I went here with some friends to experience what we only see in TV. Staff were great, courteous and helpful.

Look it was not terrible just pretty average. It had a run down under invested feel our server tried his best. It appears from the menu you have to have the 4 courses whether you like or not. I thought for what we got and the overall experience it was over priced. I will not being rushing back.

It started with the yummy Ying Yang Martini. So, if you are on a diet, then this is not the place for you. If you are a lover of cheese, seafood or meat and chocolate, then this is the place for you. There were five us of celebrating a work accomplishment. We had terrific service. We like the atmosphere at the Seattle store better than Bellevue or Tacoma, but the food is the same. In Seattle, there is more privacy between the booths than the other stores and a more quiet environment. This is not a cheap place. It is not a quick eat place. We enjoyed our time, but it took us 3 hours to complete our meal. The store was not packed so we were able to take as much time as we wanted to enjoy the celebration, but it always takes awhile to get through the multiple courses. Pricey, but it has always be an enjoyable time regardless of the store we have visited.

I have been to the Melting Pot in about 6 - 8 different cities and this was one of the most plain Melting Pots I have been to decorum wise. A lot of Melting Pots have more unique flair and a feeling of Wow, I can't find this anywhere else! I also was not as impressed by the wine cellar as I have been at others. That said the food was still stellar and I enjoyed the Mojo sauce. The dessert is always fantastic and is reason alone to stop by! Our waitress was nice and attentive but not as engaging as some I have had at the Melting Pot. Part of the experience for me is the more personal service you usually see at Melting Pots. Another downer for us was that our table was close enough to the bar that the roar and rumble of the blender was a constant for us. I might go back as it is certainly fun to eat and is a nice relaxing dinner that is well paced. Final note, usually always smart to make a reservation even if you know it won't be too busy as it helps the staff prep to make your visit even better.

I love fondue. It's important to start by saying that. For years, I had heard about this place, and hadn't managed to get over and try it. Finally, after living in the city for 14 years, I tried The Melting Pot. It may honestly have been the worst dining experience I have ever had in this city. We wanted to have dinner and some drinks. Although the restaurant was not even half full, they told us we could not have a table without a reservation, but we could sit in the bar. This is annoying, but it would have been fine if the rest of the experience were even passable. I'll keep this brief. The service was rude, slow, and acted as if they wished we hadn't come in. The bar side was not particularly crowded, but not empty either. About half the tables were taken. The server was spending a lot of time not serving anybody, and this ignoring occurred straight up through the end of our meal, where we had to ask a different bartender to have her bring our check, since she'd abandoned the table for over 15 minutes. The food was horrible. We ordered a cheese fondue that supposedly came with bread, apples, and some veggies. The bread was not even enough to use for half the small dish of fondue that we ordered. The veggies were not fresh. The apple managed to be "kept fresh" because they doused it in more lemon juice than I have ever seen an apple drowned in. And worst of all, the cheese fondue truly tasted like it contained all of the ingredients in fondue, EXCEPT CHEESE. There's nothing I can recommend about this experience. If you're thinking of going here, look for a recipe for fondue instead. Go to Whole Foods. Buy the ingredients, and a bottle of wine. Go home. Make it yourself, and stare at a blank wall. It will be a better experience.

I've been to the Seattle Melting Pot at least 15150 times. The food is almost always great. The fondues are very good, not too thick. The salads are almost always small and over simple. The main course is always fun -I love cooking my food the way I want it and I love their sauces. Of course, no trip is complete without chocolate fondue! A must. Your experience is almost always dependent on your server - and they are usually pretty good.

This place is neat. Great staff, great food and great atmosphere. However you pay for it. It's well worth it to try it out but there are definately a lot more places you get a better bang for your buck. But still awesome.

Before this visit, I had never been to The Melting Pot. I knew a little of what to expect, though. I had the 4 course experience with the cheddar cheese, salad, land and sea with the vegetable broth and the smores desert. I felt like I got mainly veggies with a little meat. The food was good but I'm not 100% sure I got my money's worth. The staff were wonderful. I did have to wait about 10 min even though I had a reservation. No big deal in my book but worth noting. It is a good place to go for a special occasion but make sure to make reservations. I did see people turned away since the wait was long.

Delicious food and cool ambiance. We went there and had a blast. Good food and drinks but pretty pricey.

This is a deliciously fun step back in time. The ambiance is such that one expects the Rat Pack to appear suddenly at the bar. Dark woods, old music make a really nice start to one's experience. The food, while a bit pricey, is delicious and I've never had a bad server experience. Fun to have fondue and eat tasty food!!! The Melting Pot is up high on our anniversary/couples night out list!

We came here on the spur of the moment on a Friday evening as my nephew said it was wonderful. I had never experienced "fondue dining" before and he said it was worth it. Waited almost 2 hours (wandered around Queen Anne for most of the time) before we got in about 9 PM. Not used to eating so late but the flow of traffic told me at this hour that this must be good. We had excellent service, the food was top notch and the atmosphere very good. I would definitely recommend this place but only with reservations at any hour --- even late!

I have only been to the Melting Pot once but I was very impressed. I was surprised that they actually prepare the fondue sauces right at your table in front of you with fresh ingredients. The experience of the Melting Pot is just so much fun - it's great to do for a special occasion or with friends. The turtle dessert was just spectacular. Be forewarned, though, this is not a cheap dinner by any means!

Our server (Ryan) was absolutely awesome! We have had great service at other restaurants but Ryan ranks up there with the best of them! He was friendly, attentive but most of all, Ryan has the perfect personality for this type of restaurant environment. He was great. Aside from the service, the food was really good as well. We have been here before so we knew all about the atmosphere but the experience and fun that we enjoyed (again) just makes us want to go back again. Make sure you have reservations because we tried walking in one evening and they turned us away. Not because we didn't have a reservation; because they didn't have enough staff on shift that night.

I brought my mother and son here for a fun experience following a ballet performance. It was a fun way to end our day. We went all out and tried a little bit of everything. The food was average and the price was HIGH. I’m glad we gave it a try, but if you want the fondue experience without the inflated cost, I would recommend going only for desert.

We go to the melting pot as a family and order the 4 course fondue. We had cheese to start, and a classic course of steak, shrimp, chicken and pork. We had S’mores with Dr chocolate for dessert. It was delicious, and our server was very attentive, and the manager came over to say hello. Extra sauces , and dipping selections were delivered quickly . Thank you Melting Pot, you never disappoint .

We did an endless fondue deal (Granted it wasnt, only endless entrees) we didnt get to pick what was in the entree, which half of it, we really didnt eat. And after we asked for another round of the meat we did eat and another bowl of vegetables, our broth evaporated from waiting so long and all the bits and scraps in the bottom just burned and was horrible to listen to and smell. We saw our waiter maybe 4 times in 3+ hours... there was a lot of sitting there with our tumbs in places. The food was nothing to write home about either, the cheese fondue ( we did the cheddar) was good but the bread was stale and the bowl of vegetables was small enough for a 3 year old, not two adults. The 'Filet mignon' that we received, tasted more like chuck roast with zero flavor, the chicken was supposedly lemon and herb crusted, tasted more like a poached chicken nugget. We just were not impressed at any of it. The bartender we had while we waited for our reservation time was rude and didnt seem interested in waiting on us at all but everyone around us, he was at their tables regularly. All in all, we wont go back and wont recommend it. The only reason I rated 2 stars is because the few times we did actually see our server, he was polite and friendly.

Our daughter and son in law celebrated their wedding with a small reception in the private room of the restaurant recently. Our service was wonderful, attentive and thoughtful. The food was very good. The activity of the fondue was a fun part of the evening and the attendees really enjoyed it. It was pricey but for all you get, not overly so. Why only a good rating? About 10 days prior to the event, we were informed that other diners would be seated in the private room with us that my daughter had reserved months before. After several conversations with management, the situation was resolved. However, not before the manager made some comments that, in my opinion, were not very professional. If it wasn't not for this situation, I would recommend this restaurant more highly. It created unnecessary stress during a time that was already somewhat stressful.

We have been to this melting pot location several times - this time was not a very fun experience. Twice employees called my husband "My father" it was kind of embarrassing and annoying after we told them that he was my husband. Also, our server was not friendly at all...he had no personality and only refilled our water when we asked, and when he refilled them he filled my husbands and left mine empty...my husband had to ask for mine to be filled. It seemed like he didn't like his job or wanted to be somewhere else. The food was good....but the experience was pretty poor this time.

Yes, this place is a little higher end, but, this is an "experience"!! You will be there for a long time, so, make sure you plan for that! There are several courses, and it is really a fun time! Very nice atmosphere too!

I've been to this Seattle location MANY times over the last 25+ years. It has always been a memorable experience. We're big fondue fans, we own a fondue pot and even have the Melting Pot cookbook. I didn't care that it was a three hour dinner, or that it was expensive, because I had come to expect that. However this restaurant is getting a little tired and the portions are ridiculously small. Example: The four of us had the fiesta cheese fondue. The waitress arrived with about on cup of shredded cheese and one cup each of vegetables and bread cubes. The vegetables (broccoli and cauliflower) would be best described as molecular. They were almost too small for the forks which, of course, are very small. Now this was service for four people. I'd hate to see what service for one person would look like? Three fondue courses, same results. It can't be labor costs people, because the customer does all the cooking! Some prep cooks and some wait staff and that about covers it. Cut up the meat, check. Cut up the veggies, check. Cut up the cheesecake, check. Open the plastic bags of various other dessert items, check. How hard is that, and why is it that this place has gotten so cheap? Overall the restaurant felt a little 'grungy' and not in a grunge-rock sort of way. ;-) Example: The railings leading down the stairs felt as though they hadn't been cleaned since we were last there a year ago. ************PARKING: Wow, I almost forgot! We arrived in the rain and attempted to give our car keys to the valet. He told us that we had to walk across the driveway and use the pay-to-park machine AND oh yeah, it doesn't work so scan the the code and download the parking app on your smartphone, link it to a credit card and pay to park that way. REALLY? I'm about to spend $300 at your restaurant and I have to stand in the rain and download an app? WTF people????!!!! OH YEAH, and the next day I saw the parking charge. It came to over $11 AND it had a $.30 CONVENIENCE FEE!!!!!!! As if standing in the rain before I shell out $300 for a dinner that would not satisfy four gerbils is CONVENIENT!!!!!! In years' past we would walk out of this restaurant stuffed and satisfied and eager to go back. Now I'm wondering who else does fondue? When I find a new fondue restaurant I will post it here, and Citysearch, and Facebook, and Twitter, and Open Table.........

Overpriced, not compensated for the horrible experience we had. The wires underneath the table started sparking and could have caused a fire or injured someone, we called the manager out and she was rude and didnt seem to care a bit about our experience. We were not moved from the table even though one of the pots didnt work, and everyone in our party was very dissapointed. Other than the cheese the rest of the food was awful, the meats didnt seem very fresh, and for the price you pay it is not worth it. I would never suggest this place to anyone....unless perhaps you hate them.

If you are choosing between the Bellevue and Seattle Melting Pot restaurants. In my recent experiences with both, the service and atmosphere at the Seattle location was significantly better. The food on par with each other. The food is as always relatively good and the 4 course menu by far the best option cost and food wise! Just make sure you have a big appetite going into it!

Thought this place was pretty interesting. We actually sat up at the bar, and ate their. Talked to the bartender for a couple hours, and watched him prepare our cheese & chocolate fondue. Great service, great food, interesting atmosphere, probably should at least try it out!

Great place for a group. Love to go with a couple of friends. I was surprised that the quality of the food is fairly good.

Decided to relax and dine here before heading to the airport to fly home... my wife and I arrived when they opened (we were the second folks through the door at 4:00 pm) and found out they were booked solid for dinner due to Sir Paul McCartney performing at Key Bank Arena just a few blocks away. Despite that bit of news, we were offered seats at the bar, where we were lucky enough to be taken care of by Austin. He gave us nothing but top-notch attention, lively conversation, and good advice... not only with menu and drink items, but on quick local visits nearby for good Seattle photo ops! I will tell you this, if you like the idea of fondue and the pace and freedom that this sort of dining is, then come to The Melting Pot to relax and enjoy. The food is delicious, and is served with flair, style, and promptness! But the dining experience was amazingly good as well... every one of the folks I interacted with who were there to help take care of you seemed to genuinely like being there. And they have my thanks!

If I could rate this place on experience alone I would rate it a 4. Fondue in itself is an exciting experience. The preparation they do in front of you, being hands on with cooking your own food and not having to clean up afterwards is worth going here just once. The meats are good, but not great, not amazing. Honestly the dessert is the highlight as far as food is concerned. They spike the chocolate with liquor and the quality of chocolate is nummy! If you're looking for an interactive date night and want something different check it out. If you're looking for a romantic night with great food, I'd check out a couple other places I've reviewed first.

We have a family tradition of fondue on Christmas Eve so never before have we eaten it in a restaurant. The only truly negative comment I have is in reference to the review I read (I don't remember where though) that called it romantic....not so much. However the service was good (we were well cared for by Edgar and the manager Pat). The food was tasty and it's certainly a nice was to pass the evening. Is it something I would do all the time, probably not but it's a nice change of pace.

First I will say the food and the fun we had at our table interacting with each other over the fondue was excellent. Negatives are no parking, 2 different surcharges added in to our bill totaling 7%, service was hit and miss . When our server was at our table he did an awesome job, but felt like he should have checked on refills and clearing the table more. Tipping I felt was strange they make $15 an hour plus the 7% surcharge and still want you to tip 15-20%. Which in my case meant my server was making $31 an hour for just 1 table. I would go to The Melting Pot again, just not this one.

Our servers Mandy and Paulina were great, seated us promptly and had our drinks in about 5 minutes. We had dinner for 2 and we were very pleased , it’s not cheap but a great dinner and worth the splurge and experience.

Pricey but very good! Great for a date or a group. Not so great for small children, hot pots and fires all over the place. Maybe 5 years and up. Nice, private booths.

Went there for a birthday dinner. First experience at having a meal such as this. Food was quite good and the service was excellent. Although the evening was enjoyable considering what we had ordered the price was a bit high. I guess we expected more for our dollar.

Very nice staff we had reservations for 830 and thought the restaurant closed at 10 but it closed at 9pm. However the staff was EXTREMELY nice and the food was good the restaurant was clean and fbe food cooking experience was very interesting and fun. Especially as a date or with a group of friends.

From the cheese fondu first, to the meats and vegetables, and finally the chocolate dipping fondu to end the meal, this is a dining experience, as much as a meal. Allow 2 hours. Service can be slow, but it allows for lots of conversation.

We haven't been to the Melting Pot in a very long time, and one evening had a hankering from some ooey gooey cheese. So, we went to the Melting Pot on a whim. They were very accommodating with our unscheduled "out of the blue" arrival. Our waiter was amazing and had great suggestions of pairings. Overall, it was an excellent experience and we will definitely be back.

We used to go to the Melting Pot on special occasions before we had kids. It was a good special occasion spot but a bit pricey. But is has been about ten years since we ate there. We were staying on Queen Anne, celebrating my wife's birthday. On a whim, I made reservations for the Melting Pot to make the occasion special. It wasn't. First the receptionist barely looked up when we arrived. He wasn't friendly or welcoming. Strike one. Although we had reservations, we still had to wait a bit though there didn't appear to be many customers. We were seated but weren't given any water and there was no silverware. It took awhile for the server to arrive. In the meantime, we tried deciphering the confusing menu, especially the kid's menu. The Melting Pot isn't kid friendly. Ours are 9 and 11 and the options are limited, basically smaller portions of the adult menu. The server finally showed up. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday. He wished her a happy birthday, but that was it. He never mentioned it again. No birthday candle in the dessert fondue or anything. We ordered a four-course meal that included a bottle of wine. It was $50 per adult. Then we tried getting the server to explain what the kid options were. Could they share our cheese fondue and dessert? He could never give us a straight answer and we ended up just getting the entree fondue for them that was basically two small plates of raw chicken. The server brought the first course: Cheese fondue with bread and a small bowl of sad looking vegetables. We still didn't have any silverware. Eventually the server returned and noticed we didn't have fondue forks. The salads came. They were fine. Then the main course. Most of it was brought by the server's assistant. In the past we recalled the server's explaining the cooking methods. This server was obviously not interested in spending much time at our table. Finally we got the dessert. It was mainly pound cake and marshmellows. The server slipped us a bill that included a mysterious surcharge (apparently for the kids sharing our cheese and dessert course). That was it. The food was mediocre. The service was mediocre. The prices were high-end for a low-end experience. Not going back.

I had been planning to visit this restaurant for a few months on an up[coming business trip. We arrived and sat in the bar area for a little happy hour action. We ordered two fondues and and a few different meats to be dipped. The service was horrific. I think we saw our waiter once in the hour and a half we spent in the restaurant and not once did he ask us if we needed anything. The fondue was cold and all in all was not a pleasant experience. We ended up deciding as a group not to continue with dinner at this location and happily walked to another local establishment. The manager was on his game however. As a member of our group proceeded to inform the front desk of his issue with our meal the manager quickly stepped in and escorted us away from the entrance as to not make a seen as others entered the resturant. He then procedded to applogise for our issues and informed us that he had a few servers call out that nigh. He then comped us our meal. All in all they did right by us, but i would have much rather had a pleasant meal than our money back.

The atmosphere and service was good. I went to Bellevue location, took me 45 minutes to find a place to park. Parking too limited. Food was ok not good and the portions were small compared to the price. You cook your own meat in a flavored broth, so basically it's boiled meat. We did the 4 course meal, very expensive considering the small portions. I feel they should have charged less than half of what they charge.

My husband and I love the melting pot and the casual 'take your time' atmosphere. He had some wine, and I had sparkling lemonade that was refreshing. We opted for a special dinner menu they were featuring and had a lot of fun throughout the whole process. As a couple we were seated at a one burner table, while directly beside us there was a party of four also using a one burner table. They probably should have asked for a two burner setting, as they spent a lot of time arguing over which cheese selection would work for all of them. Just know what you are getting into in advance, and you will have a great experience! The service was wonderful with the table being bussed frequently to clear used dishes and keeping our waters filled. Fun night!

We went to the Melting Pot as a birthday celebration and before going to a musical in Seattle. If you are seeing a show after dinner you need to make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to eat, at least two hours is needed! Since reservations were made ahead of time and the restaurant was told we were celebrating a birthday, the hostess, the waitress and even the manager came by with birthday wishes! The manager on duty was excellent as well. The server did tell us that you could get half price appetizers and desserts during happy hour in the bar...great tip if you just want to stop in for a little while!

My family visit Seattle maybe once or twice and year and The Melting Pot is the restaurant that the kids always want to go to. The food is excellent and plentiful especially when participating in their 4 course menu. The service is also excellent, with some very friendly staff. Can't recommend it enough!

If you're in the mood for fondue, this is the place! Keep in mind that fondue necessarily means that you cook your own food so I don't think the reviews complaining about the high prices given that you have to cook your own food are fair. The wine list is both impressive and extensive allowing you to carefully make a choice depending on your preferences and your budget. You can order a single type of fondue, for example, a cheese fondue appetizer or a chocolate dessert fondue, or you can opt for a choice that allows you to custom-select an appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. Their house-made salad dressings are really good. You will always leave stuffed and smelling of fondue, but very satisfied. If you opt for the full deal (appetizers through dessert), you should plan on spending at least two hours here. We've been here several times over the years and we've never had bad service so I'm not sure what happened to the other reviewers who claim that they had bad service. Maybe we've always been lucky.

We were able to obtain a groupon for a visit and really enjoyed our experience. We were a bit early for our reservation but were seated quickly and were served very efficiently. The Groupon allowed us a cheese fondue, salad and three meat entree. We ended up ordering a dessert as well. The manager greeted us when we arrived and checked on us a couple of times during our time there. Our server was attentive and provided great service. I would definitely go again!!

Very nice atmosphere. Service was excellent. But I probably won't do this again. Food was not that good, sauces were salty. If I wanted to cook my own food I would of stay at the house. But if you are down for a good experience and something different. I would recommend this place. But for taste of food and quality......stay home.

I get it, fondue is fine and the pace of the meal is slow. But to go 20-30 minutes without a server checking your table between courses is too much. More water? Another drink perhaps. The food is tasty and plentiful, but the overall experience is odd - a weird space inside, dark and not cheery. There was no evidence of a manager in charge and while our server was friendly, we felt ignored much of the time. We joked with the table next to us about who would wait longer (different server, also made them wait forever). It was Sunday evening, not very busy. Finally the $200+ tab for 3 people was comical. I wouldn’t go back.

I went to this restaurant on the recommendations from friends that it is a must try. I was not at all impressed and would not go back. The veggies that came with the cheese fondue were from a bag and not very fresh. The strawberries weren’t very fresh either. The meat was ok but nothing great. For the price I expected better quality food. Other than the first drinks we ordered our server forgot every one after. I ordered the wine flight and had to remind her each course for my glass of wine and it still took forever to come.

First course was pretty good, we had the cheddar cheese fondu. Next was salad and both mine and my husbands salads came out with rotten lettuce and very large wedges of cabbage. We did not get the air of professionalism from the waitstaff and didn't feel comfortable sending it back. Dinner was less then mediocre. We had Pacific Rim in the Coq Au Vin broth. Neither my hubby nor I could taste the so called marinade on the meat and the broth was average. Dessert was okay, did not care for the raw marshmallows and whole piece of cheese cake for dipping. Waitstaff didn't seem knowledgeable in recommending pairings for food and broth, and told us you can't over cook the meat in it! WRONG! Unless you enjoy rubbery meat, you can overcook it. The sides that came with dinner were basic veggies and not very many. For the price we expected way more, and just like most places now a days, it let us down.... Save your money and just buy your own fondu pot!

Foundue with fresh ingredients, good service and nice atmosphere. We tried cheese, meat and chocolate foundues. They were all delicious. The table has its own cook top to heat the bowls, its very fancy! I'd come back!

Visited this place yesterday, since we did not have reservation and were a little late they allowed us only to sit in bar area. Tried 2 of their cheese fondue and a chocolate fondue. Cheese fondues were ok, chocolate one was good. As we were in bar are with no heating stove on the table, the cheese got cold and thickened. Suggest that you should reserve a table to go to this restaurant.

Great date night place as almost every table is a booth and semi-private. Plan on coming hungry and spending time to enjoy the experience. You have plenty of time to converse while you dip tasty bites in your cheese fondue starter. Then on to a simple but refreshing salad before the main entrée which you cook yourself in middle of the table. Don't forget the amazing variety of chocolate fondue choices at the end. Try one of the speciality cocktails to start the meal. Remember to take your time and enjoy your date night.

Just try the duck...you'll be happy. The whole air of the place is fun, the more the merrier really. Its fun to cook everything on your own and it is absolutely delicious. When you get to dessert, chocolate dipped pineapple and cheesecake...dear god...its heaven

My hubby, sisters and brother in laws all went to this restaurant for a fun relaxing evening. Myself and my sisters have been to the Melting Pot before, however it was a dozen years ago so very vague memories of the experience. This time, it was wonderful to have all 3 of us couples to go and enjoy it. The ambiance of this restaurant was beautiful and fun. The only con I have found was we had a reservation at 7pm. Show up at 6:50 to check in, they didn't seat us until 7:40pm. That was not enough time for us to eat our 4 course meal so instead we went straight to the main course and then dessert (we had a comedy show to be at by 9pm). By the end of the night, with only having some options for the main course with some dessert - we were all still hungry. That being said, IF we were not rushed - we know we wouldn't have been hungry after. The waiting 40 minutes definitely didn't help our case though. On a positive note, our waiters (Louis and Arnold) were EXTREMELY friendly and talkative and knew our time frame so they made it their personal mission for us to still receive our food in a timely manner. I give them both mad props! They were wonderful! All in all, it was a fantastic time, we just needed longer time. I would give yourself 2+ hours to eat and enjoy. Lesson learned for next time :)

2 words, BEST EXPERIENCE. The wine was tasty and tangy, a perfect place for a small get-together with friends, or a fancy dinner for 2. Whatever the occasion, The Melting Pot is a great place to eat. I would extremely recommend the 4-cource meal, (only for two or more guests), It is completely affordable and holds many courses. Course 1 is a delightful cheese fondue given with fresh vegetables and tangy fruit, plus a big chunk of warm bread. The next course brings delightful salads or soup, and the 3rd has juicy meats of all kinds, weather it's seafood or sweet beef, pork, or chicken, the best meats are here, and finally the best of all, the dessert!! Chocolate, marshmallow, or peanut butter, you will receive the best desserts you have ever tasted. The Melting Pot's service is to die for, the waiter/waitresses always smile and wave when you walk in and are very patient when you order. If you want food, head down to the melting pot for some real food.

We visited here because of my son's rehearsal dinner. Valet parking is not expensive and is quick. If you are in a hurry you don't want to come here simply because you have several courses. You have fondue, cooking oils for the meat, and a dessert course. You do the cooking. It doesn't look like much but it is. A very unique experience. I can't complain about the price as we didn't spend near what we thought. Give it a go!

The restaurant has very private booths and dinner a lengthy but enjoyable process. The first course is a cheese fondue, the second are the entrees and the third is chocolate. It was a great place to connect with family over a long meal that plays out slowly, it would be great for a long romantic date. It is exspensive, a family of 4 with drinks was $300+tip. If I went again I might skip the cheese or just drop in for chocolate fondue after the ballet or opera.

Taste wise, My wife makes cheese fondue significantly better! The social aspect of the restaurant is winner. You usually spend >1hr if you go for the three course meal. and you'll be happily chatting it up with your dinner companions. The nature of waiting for your food to cook in anticipation makes you more chatty. With respect to the food: The salad is stupid, nothing exceptional and I remember it being expensive. Save your calories for the cheese. I go to a fondue restaurant for the melted cheese and the cheese course goes pretty quickly and its not amazing. I normally like Cheddar fondues however here I think their swiss is better. The meat course is fun because you usually have a bunch of meats, so you get to experiment more than if you did this at home. The meat course is most fun if you have a group so you get two broths. I honestly don't remember the desert so it couldn't have been that spectacular. Overall the best fondue I've had was at some random resturant in Vancouver that was acting as the Swiss House during the Olympics, I think it was cheaper too.

I had never been to the Melting Pot but had heard great things. Easy valet parking for $10. Décor was very nice and nice patio to wait for our table We used the groupon coupon and the waiter was very knowledgeable about this promotion. We did order the cheese fondue that wasn't included in the special but we wanted to try. The Wisconsin Trio was delicious....bread, apples, meat and pickles! to dip. The California salad was a amazing. The others were good ,but nothing special. Main course to cook in your choice of "broths" included shrimp, pork, chicken and beef along with a mushroom stuffed pasta. All was good, but it got a little tedious and we finally cooked it all together and brought the leftovers home. Desert Fondue was milk chocolate with strawberries, bananas, rice krispie treats, marshmallows, sponge cake and brownies to dip. They even brought my mother and daughter who were celebrating birthdays a special little cake with a candle and chocolate covered strawberries. All were incredible. Our waiter was excellent and his explanations and tips made the dinner more enjoyable. it did feel like there was some lags in the dinner, but the service at the table made the experience special. Next time I think we will order just the cheese and desert fondue. There is a lot of food and I find I do like someone else to actually cook my food when I go our for dinner.

Great atmosphere, awesome service and superb food! Nice leisurely dinner. We had the cheddar fondue, wedge salad, lobster and steak fondue and chocolate/Bailey's fondue. It was all fabulous. Our server was friendly and always there when we needed him, but not intrusive. We were there for a celebration and he brought each of us a complimentary glass of champagne. The only downside is that is on the expensive side. I realize that it is a unique experience and that, in itself, makes it more expensive. But I still feel it is a bit overpriced. Everything else was excellent. Everyone should try it at least once!!

My companion and I had dinner here last night and enjoyed the experience. Everyone greeted us with a friendly warm smile, starting with the parking valet. My only complaint was the lighting was so dim we couldn't read the menu. Menu was well laid out and easy to read after being instructed by our friendly server. Don't be in a hurry here but then again why should you be? We enjoyed all the food but it is an expensive outing and one you can't do too often. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the booths make it a fairly private dinning experience. The only other complaint would be no parking beyond the valet service.

Oh this was fun! The staff was friendly, fast, and funny! We had reservations and got right in. We had never been there before so the staff explained each option, and as they delivered each course took the time to give some cooking tips. It was wonderful!

The staff is as good as it gets. Food good and plentiful. Room arrangement good for small party of 8. Covered parking a few feet from front door a plus fof Sr.s

This was my first visit with my wife and her friend to try a Swiss style cheese fondue with a chocolate fondue for desert. For both cheese and chocolate, you have about 5 different blends to choose from. Then the waiter will mix everything together on the spot in the hotpot, spicing it to taste. We got the "Classic Alpine" cheese fondue, the charcuterie plate and the "Raspberry dark chocolate" fondue for desert. We loved the taste of the fondues, well balanced, not too strong. The charcuterie plate arrived late, after we finished the cheese fondue. This was due to backlog in the kitchen - on a Tuesday night? Price is about 10 - 15$ per person for the fondues with a good portion size (not too small or big). The charcuterie plate was not needed after all, the 2 fondues were more than enough for us. Note: As it was the 3 of us, we (had to) share a single fondue family style, which was not a problem for us. If you go in even numbers, you will have a single hotplate per 2 guests. Keep this in mind if you have different food expectations in the group.

I enjoy the fun, playfulness of having to cook my own food, but it sure is expensive! This is the type of plave I can only afford once a year at the most. But, I will bow that the servings are generous and almost overwhelming. Don't fill up on the salad because you're going to need room for the other 3 courses.

I like fondues. It's a meal that is meant for sharing and drinking around a pot of melting cheese. 4 adults. We started off with a drink at the bar while everyone got there. The bartender, manager and wait staff were all very nice and chatted us up. Looks like all of the tables are booths, which makes sense with the fondue. There is basically a stove top on the middle of your table. Think Korean BBQ for Euro Cheese food. We did the $45 per person set menu which comes with your choice of cheese but everyone has to agree as there is only one pot. Followed by a salad and then a broth that you cook meats and shrimp. The cheese was good but we ran out before the veggies and bread. A travesty in most cultures. The salads were really bad. The caesar had no garlic nor anchovies. It is basically like ranch with a few springs of romaine. The broth which was basically is a shabu shabu was ok. Meat cooks in 3 to 4 mins. Overall, fun because we can eat together by poking things with a long fork and sticking it in a pot of cheese or broth. But for the money, could do better.

An out of the ordinary dining experience - albeit a bit on the spendy side. An easy walk from Seattle Center - can easily miss it if you don't see the sign.

Fun dinner with family and friends Kind of expensive for dinner but a fun venue that allows time for visiting. We had 2 different cheese fondues, dinner, and dessert. Our waitress was new but did a great job

I planned a surprise visit to Seattle to see my daughter and meet her boyfriend. Her boyfriend made reservations at the Lower Queen Anne's Melting Pot. I called to see if they could help me surprise her. The manager Patrick was ready and willing to go all out to help me surprise my daughter. Since my daughter didn't know I had flown all the way across the country just to see her and meet her beau, I really wanted to make it memorable. He went so far as to set me up as a server to "serve" her table. When they arrived and were seated, Patrick came to get me from my hiding place and agreed to video the encounter. Needless to say, she was very surprised. Once we all settled in, we ordered and enjoyed a very wonderful Wisconsin Cheese fondu with all of the tasty breads, meats, veggies and the like. After we finished that, we decided we needed dessert too and ordered the Milk Chocolate DeLeche. It was a tremendous finish to a very exciting and memorable evening. The staff couldn't be more helpful and enjoyed helping me make the night special. I will definitely come back to this restaurant again!!!

Went there the other night with some girlfriends for ladies night. The service was slow like they didn't have enough staff working. The food was not as good as the last time we had gone and prices are high. All in all, we will pick somewhere else next time.

You need time for this experience and although we had two hours there was not quite enough, even though we only had fondue and an entree as our burner was slow and fizzled out. The server assigned to us wasn't as attentive as needed to be for our situation but when we spoke to the manager, he was over the top helpful. Not only was he sincere in his efforts to solve the issue, he made us want to come back, and we did the next night but at a different table. The food was quite good and it was a fun experience, mostly, the second time around when everything worked property.

We met some friends for happy hour here. Four of us shared the WI four cheese fondue. their wine selection with happy hour was good, several reds and whites. local and a really good malbec from Argentina. The location and actual facility were very cool. I loved the layout of the bar area, Service from the bartender was mediocre, he seemed to be more in tune with the hostess than the two tables that were in the place.

Lovely special dinner with my family. The husband and two sons ordered Cesar salad and I ordered their strawberry almond salad for an appetizer. We chose cheddar cheese fondue with bread, apples, an vegetables. Then coq au vin style broth with steak and chicken. Then, for dessert, dark chocolate fondue. We loved the whole meal.

Went as a group of 4 for a birthday dinner last weekend. I found a Groupon for a 3 course meal for a party of 4 for $116. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I made an online reservation through opentable.com. That made it so convenient and I was pleased with the follow up by The Melting Pot. they called to confirm the reservation and asked if I wanted any add-ons for the birthday girl. I thought it was a nice option. We had a busy day on Saturday, but ended up arriving at least a half hour prior to our reserved time. They got us seated early and the table was prepped with balloons and flowers as promised. I would say that the salad was totally unnecessary. We were focused on enjoying the fondue. We ordered the Wisconsin cheese fondue. The server prepared it at our table and was so good at explaining the ingredients and amounts, that I'm pretty sure I can recreate it at home. He was a really nice guy and engaged in friendly conversation. The cheese fondue was our favorite part. The menu is a little confusing as it gives you many choices of different combinations. Throw in the desires of four people, and it was hard to figure out what to order for the table. We ended up choosing the Coq-Au-vin fondue for our main course. This was probably a mistake as it is a wine based fondue. The potstickers, teriyaki beef and herbed chicken didn't go well with this option. The main course was just so-so. It being a birthday celebration, we opted for chocolate fondue for dessert. The dipper selection was on point with mini brownies, rice Krispie treats, banana, strawberry and dusted marshmallows. They presented the bday girl with a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries and a hand written bday note in chocolate on the plate. We also had signature cocktails, but they were nothing to write home about and also added a significant amount to our bill. All said and done, the tab came to almost $300. The Groupon was deducted from that amount. Do not go here if you are on a budget (or a diet). Yes, the parking is cramped, but its not a deal breaker. Over all, it was an enjoyable experience.

We came in Sat night without a reservation so we waited in the bar for a while (make reservations!) But we loved the staff, and food was great. Will be back.

We have visited different "Melting Pot" locations and the food is always great! We love everything: the cheese fondue, the salads, the main course (especially the "mojo" broth) and last but not least the chocolate fondue for dessert. It is a great restaurant for a special occasion! Our server was friendly and attentive regarding our needs. I just gave four points because our table was not really clean as we arrived and our server dropped some vegetables next to our table while serving the cheese fondue and the stayed there for the rest of our dinner.
Great food and lots of it!
Just got home from a very enjoyable dinner here, and I cannot remember being so full! There were 3 of us and two ordered off the special wine menu (silver level) where it was $50 for the meal plus wine. I separately ordered a fondue for one and we all shared. We started off with the cheese fondue (Traditional Alpine and Monterey Jack) Both were great, and when first served didn't seem like a lot however these could have been an meal in themselves. The apple served with the cheese was a little strange but besides that great fondues. Salads were nice. The meat fondues were amazing, with a great variety of meat. My favorite out of the two fondues was the coq au vin, it has a really nice taste to it and the complimentary sauces for the cooked meat were tasty too. Then finally we had chocolate fondue! Had dark chocolate and milk chocolate and both were amazing. Could not finish it all however! The ambiance was nice, you are isolated in a booth so it is good for a romantic dinner as you can't really see or hear other diners. This was a little disconcerting at first but you soon got used to the quiet. Maybe play some background music though? All in all a good experience and would go again
