Three times in 5 days!

By Erin B |

As traveling vegans staying at the Excalibur we ate here often during our Las Vegas trip. It was a short drive/cab away. The first night I really wanted the chicken and waffles but they were out... so I had the Nashville chicken & gravy which was delicious! The next night I wanted the jalepeno poppers but they were out... so I had a club sandwich. Damn so tasty! The next time we came for lunch I got the lobster melt which was good, but not great, pretty greasy. Other members of my party got the spicy chicken sandwich, Reuben, Chicago hot dog, etc... All meals well received. It was really warm in the restaurant the last time we ate there, but overall the atmosphere is nice. Service is average. Do recommend eating here in Vegas though!!

Strip Mall Gem

By orr333 |

Had to find vegan/vegetarian friendly places for my sister and husband. One of them has severe GFO needs as well. This was a last minute add to our weekend and upon seeing it in the strip mall, I feared we made a mistake. But, inside is a different experience. I loved it as it had meat options to go with the large Vegan/Vegetarian options. Everyone at the table was super happy! Fish tacos are really good - not the best I have had but quite good. The burger at our table was stellar. For the vegetarian side, they loved their food. The only shortcoming was the drink menu. One ordered a pina colada that was undrinkable filled with shavings of coconut. Full bar but limited whiskey selection and server had no knowledge of the makings of the list by offering scotch when our guest asked for a blended or Canadian whiskey. Overall, great experience and proximity to the Sphere make it a great dinner spot ahead of a night at the venue with a short uber ride away from the strip.

Good food, a bit pricey, beautifully presented, huge portions

By jinxminx |

We saw this won a lot of best of Las Vegas awards and thought we would check it out. Warning: the portions are huge. It seemed expensive until we saw how much food they give you. Well - it is still kind of expensive - $8 for a glass of orange juice. They have waffles with a ton of different toppings, which is fun. The french toast is kind of like a cross between pancakes and french toast, there's that much batter on them. The biscuits and gravy had a more normal portion size but we still could have probably shared just two dishes between the three of us. I was a little disappointed in the kombucha - the menu says local and other kombucha is available, ask your server. She just said they had pineapple peach and then when she brought it, it was just a bottle of Kevita, which is not even a brand I would usually buy. They would have done better to pour it in a glass so I didn't know, lol. The food is definitely good and the presentation is excellent - one of my companions said my three waffle stack with fruit on it looked like a cake. Oddly, they had a large TV playing a rural network with stories/ads about honeybees, drainage equipment, guns, etc., which seemed like a strange choice for Vegas. It is pretty big so it doesn't have a true diner vibe, it's a little more impersonal than that.

Worst experience ever.

By Brad H |

Worst experience I've ever had at a business. I ordered takeout, and ended up sitting there for an hour because "its not ready yet". Turns out, they let a GrubHub driver take it "30 minutes ago". It's fine, mistakes happen. But the owner (husband) just kind of said "don't know what to tell you". Ummm, I don't know, how about "so sorry about that, i can get another order in for you right now". Nope. Not this guy. He's too spoiled or lazy (or both) to be bothered with providing the product/service that his customer has already paid for. I (the customer) have inconvenienced him by showing up to his restaurant to pick up the food I've purchased. Never experienced this before at any business, let alone a vegan business. The owner (husband) behaved like a spoiled trust fund kid. Like he could care less. WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD, AT ANY BUSINESS. PERIOD. I wouldn't go back to this place if it was next door to my house.

Cauliflower wings, chicken

By RescuedVegan |

Cauliflower wings, chicken poppers with spicy sriracha mayo, ranch dressing, hangover fries and a side of mac and cheese..... nice healthy lunch! Ok, so we love this place so much, we beeline for it when we visit Vegas. Best meal so far! Just go.........

Wonderful service and fantastic vegan selection!

By Michael@somewhere |

Wonderful service and fantastic environment absolutely incredible menu selection that I think would be impossible to disappoint. Only regret that I didn’t learn about it sooner I would’ve come back several times in the visit.

Great food, a little pricey

By SeattleReebs |

Inflation is a real thing, and restaurants have to make a living. But $20 for a bhan mi sandwich is a LOT. The fries were only $3, which surprised me. I would have thought they would have been more. The food was fresh and hot, even when I got take out and took it back to my hotel, a 15 min walk away. The bhan mi was unique, with really nice charred grilled tofu (not fried like I usually see) and lots of fresh veggies. I may have balked at the price when I paid it, but I felt it was worth it after eating.

Best Vegan Meal Ever!!!

My husband and I loved our dinner at the Modern Vegan. We ordered the popcorn chicken, BBQ mac and cheese and Louisiana Fried Chicken. These were very tasty and fulfilling, excellent portion sizes.

Food good but they don’t answer phone or confirm door dash orders

By Kayla |

Food is good but they don’t answer the phone or respond to door dash orders which is strange. It’s a shame because they could be making more money if they were more attentive to customer service.

The emperor has no clothes

By Woodnsoul |

Three of us went to an early lunch/brunch on Saturday. The place was reasonably busy, but not excessively so. The waitress was truly awesome. She worked hard to accommodate every need. The food - well - that’s why one star... Our son ordered the Gyro and fries - the gyro was literally inedible. It couldn’t be cut or chewed, or ?? Our waitress took it back to the kitchen, embarrassed at the condition. Not even an apology from the kitchen... I ordered their “signature” dish - Chik’n & Waffles. The Chick’n was grossly overdone and the waffle raw in the middle. We won’t be going back there. I would recommend somewhere else. It simply isn’t worth the money and the owner/kitchen staff don’t care. It’s obvious.

Best Vegan Restaurant EVER!

By Jabaar Dugan |

Over 100 items, ridiculous choices, and awesome people. My lady and I had a blast. Awesome food choices, awesome drinks, and don't get me started on dessert! You'll totally fall in love with #TMV even if you're NOT vegan.

Nearly perfect.

By Jessica S |

Upon arrival, we suspect the place has closed down. Yes, there was a big sign but windows were dim and no welcome sign of any sort (also two doors, unclear of which door to use) once we convince ourselves that it was still in business and decided which door to try we were thrilled of our findings. A chic, intimate dining place. The full plant based menu was huge and diverse. Here’s where things went a little rough. We ordered fried Mac and cheese balls .... deeeelish!! And bbq cauliflower “wingz”. I asked for ranch as blue cheese disgusts me. When we dug in, it was evident that the cauliflower has first been tossed in buffalo. I then quickly realized I had been given blue cheese and not ranch. We were on a bit of a time crunch so I didn’t say anything but noticed several orders around us had come out incorrectly and servers were forgetting prep options and sides etc. our server didn’t write any of our order and didn’t parrot it back. Otherwise service was good and food was delish. If we lived in the area we would def give this place another go.

Must go

By HappyFamily12345 |

Amazing food. Incredible service. Buffalo cauliflower was awesome! Everything we ordered was great. The service was amazing. Our server Nicole went above and beyond to make sure the food and cocktails were made to our specific requests. Will definitely recommend this place.

OK Food, So So Service

By ElleLaJolla |

After dropping off some friends at the airport, the six of us decided to eat at The Modern Vegan after one person in our group had read good reviews about the place. Four of us were vegetarian or vegan, the other two omnivores who were willing to try vegan food. The restaurant was in a strip mall, and a little tricky to get to if you followed Google Maps because of the one-way streets. The area is a little sketchy, but the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance. We sat in an alcove-like space near the entrance with a lot of privacy. The menu was extensive. I had tried to read it beforehand online, but it was a terrible website with pages that kept shifting and photos of the menu that were too blurry to read. My husband had the Thailand salad, which was OK with the teriyaki-grilled tofu, mixed greens, onions, carrots and mango. He also ordered a beet dish, which he shared with the rest of us because it was so big. I ordered three sides: a rainbow salad, sautéed mushrooms and sautéed cauliflower. The rainbow salad was unremarkable but obviously healthy, the mushrooms soggy, and the cauliflower quite good. The rest of our group ordered dishes with fake chicken and said they were good, although the omnivores were not as impressed and later admitted that they would have rather had a real steak and potato. For dessert we all shared the skillet of apple crumble with ice cream. I frankly thought this was the best thing on the menu, and we all happily finished it off. Service could have been better. The three waitresses that worked our table appeared to be inexperienced, and one waitress had just started that day, and had to keep going back to the kitchen to ask what the ingredients in certain dishes were. We also had to keep asking them to bring more water, which they should have been doing all along without having to be reminded. Since we were a group of six, gratuities were already included in the total bill, a practice that I always find a bit disturbing.

Growing Pains - Hope they grow up soon!

The Modern Vegan could be a hidden gem... but they need a lot of grooming on customer service. My husband and I walked into the restaurant this morning only four tables were occupied. Does the hostess receive training from restaurant school that says, “let’s put everyone on top of another party”? I asked the hostess if we could have the table by the second door. The response from her was, she is not able to seat anyone at that table, is in front of the door. If I remember correctly, you can’t block a fire exit. Maybe they should move it before the next fire inspection from Clark County Fire Department. I know that they are not big fans of exits being blocked. The food is good, presentation is great, and the portions are humongous. My only recommendation is to make sure that you have all your ingredients for your menu prior to opening. Especially if you are closed for two days. The bowls are great, very tasty, but would have liked to have had the pineapple. The eggs benedict is good – kudos on the hollandaise sauce and the potatoes. I think that the grilled tofu would be better if it was extra firm and seasoned with some black salt. The tofu was a little limp and texturally not very appetizing. What really threw the review to a low score was the response from the server. I asked if I could have a small tasting of the mushroom/sausage gravy, I am very particular about my gravy and I didn’t want to order something that I wouldn’t like. Big mistake! I was told they couldn’t do that. Really? I know that the owner is the chef as well, you should be proud of your food and if a customer is asking for a sampling of something simple as gravy, let them have it. If you are so worried that is going to break you, charge them for a tasting. If the gravy is as good as the server said, you would have a committed customer. Until you learn how to play with the big boys, I believe that I will still have breakfast at VegeNation, where they have mastered the level of customer service.

Totally Unique!

By CMK702 |

Never having eaten vegan, it was a unique experience! Had the avocado appetizer, gyro entre, and can't remember what dessert, but it was all very tasty. The server, Missy was incredibly patient and helpful explaining everything. It's great to know there's a nice vegan place to recommend folk in town! I want to return, just to try other items from the menu!

Taco Tuesday

By Richard M |

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had was at TMV on taco Tuesday. We had fajitas, and a tostada. Both were packed with flavor! Also ordered a churro stuffed French toast, absolute amazing (Not pictured)! Highly recommend giving it a try, we will be back for taco Tuesday soon.

Love this place

By Sherpa20750563190 |

This place is a bit pricey but so worth it! Fresh food that is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Melissa who served me was fantastic, friendly whilst remaining professional. I am a FA so travel all over and this is probably the best comfort food vegan place I have visited 10/10 looking forward to eating here again. Thank you.

Excellent waffles

By veggies123 |

We chose this place after searching Google maps for vegan restaurants in Las Vegas. We stopped by for breakfast and ordered iced tea, tacos and the peanut butter & chocolate waffles. The portions were very generous, and both meals were delicious! We really happy with the waffles (even though we couldn't finish them all). The staff were friendly and attentive, and we definitely plan to return one day. The menu is varied and the place seemed very popular. Great atmosphere and great food!

Great vegan option

By AZ-Traveler85253 |

Was so good we left the hotel the second day just to have brunch there. Portions are HUGE- so if you are a light eater, split an entrée. Food looks amazing coming out- it isn’t just thrown in a plate. Food comes out in order of arrival, so just be aware of its busy you might wait. Worth the wait.

Excellent food

By Tanu K |

This place is amazing. Tons of options and we liked it so much that we ate there four times on our trip.

One of the best vegan places in Vegas

By Michelle W |

Found this place online- so glad we did. One of the most extensive vegan menus I’ve ever seen. Food was served in huge portions, and was insanely great. From breakfast to lunch to desserts- everything was good. Staff was amazing too- giving suggestions and helping with the menu. A must try in Vegas.

Mac Attack

By FunSizeMy |

Recommend? Yes. I got the popcorn chick’n, lobster roll, and mac attack. Popcorn chick’n - Crunchy on the outside with a spicy creamy sauce. Lobster roll - It’s creamy with celery, heart of palm, onions, dill and some acidity. Flavor wise it is more like a tuna salad which I really like. Mac Attack - This is their version of Big Mac, but like on steroids. Lol. It’s huge. I don’t think you’re supposed to be able to finish it in one sitting. I haven’t had a Big Mac in so long and this was so good. That double patty with the shredded lettuce, onions, and dressing. God it was good. It’s only available on Thursdays.

The Modern Vegan

By TerrasTravels |

My Vegan friend was in town and so we went to check this place out. As someone who is not Vegan at all I tried the chicken and waffles (all plant based so yes it was vegan) and I absolutely loved it!!! I would totally go back! It was so tasty and delicious I didn’t even notice it was Vegan! So good! Em Ian e is great as well it’s so cute and they do serve smoothies and alcoholic beverages as well. My vegan friend had the BBQ Mac and Cheese and looked so delicious! I don’t know how they do this! But everything on the menu is plant-based even when you look at it you think wait there’s no way. But it totally is! I thought it was so good and at the end of the meal I didn’t feel all heavy and gross which is a plus! Maybe I’ll turn vegan! Hahaha! I will definitely be back! This is also a great stop in between the airport and the strip! Customer service was also great as well! Alex was our waiter and he was really fun and knowledgeable and had many suggestions for us!

Awesome food and people.

By Jeanne F |

2nd visit, love the food here. Very big menu, can be difficult to choose. This time we split the corndog starter which was delicious. I had the cowboy burger with fries, so amazing! Hubbie had the pulled pork on pretzel bun with fries, a bit messy to eat but he said it was really good. Bright and clean atmosphere. It's a bit off strip, but a short uber. We did have an issue with our uber pickup after though. Uber would not let me use modern vegan as a pick up location, very strange since that is where we were dropped off??? We ended up taking a short walk to a Hyatt across the street and getting picked up there. Just an FYI.

There are many other Vegan options in Vegas!!

By Jennyess2015 |

This is the worst vegan restaurant I’ve been to in Vegas. In fact, it’s the worst vegan restaurant that I’ve been to in Vegas, LA, SF, Portland, Chicago, NYC and D.C. Do not be fooled by their huge menu. Yes, the pictures of their food look enticing, but when actually given a chance to try them, boy was it a huge disappointment! Their mac and cheese was very bland and lacked a cheesy kick. Their queso was served lukewarm with a few beans, corn and peppers sprinkled on top. The server was super confused when I asked “what is the base of the queso?” Had to switch up my language and ask “What is the queso made of?” She said it’s made of their own ingredients that they make it in the kitchen. Cool, good to know. After a few moments, she offered to ASK someone who knew. It didn’t matter anyway since that queso was served almost cold and was so sweet! The best part of the queso dip were the store bought tortilla chips it came with. This place is obviously understaffed by the slow service and harried servers running around. It took forever to get a hold of our server to ask for our check and when we did, they gave us the wrong bill with someone else’s credit card already in the bill holder. It seems like we spent about 25 min just trying to get our correct bill and get out of there. Luckily there are many other vegan options in Vegas!

Good vegan options

A place to bring your non-vegan friends to experience the “wow this is vegan” meal. The menu leans more on the unhealthy side, although is delicious and worth the occasional splurge.

Cute restaurant, delicious food, big servings

By Sarah B |

Delicious food but slow service. Very large portions. I highly recommend the "crabcake" benedict with asparagus served on a bed of mashed potatoes. The fried dessert chimichanga was good but we were too full to really appreciate it and we couldn't take a to go box because we were going dancing afterwards. The decor is really cute and trendy. The servers didn't come by enough and the food took awhile to come out, and we were advised to hold the dessert order until after we ate so it would be hot and crisp. We asked for the order to be put in right when our food came out but it still took quite awhile to come out, which I feel like could have been executed a bit better, but then again maybe it was just because we were rushed to get to our show that we were feeling a little frustrated.

Tasty!

By LoganMcConaughy |

Absolutely recommend. Some of the best vegan food I've had at that affordable price point, generous portions. We ended up going twice during our stay and both times the waiters and hosts were pleasant and engaging while not hovering. Free lot parking when we were there and more than enough spaces during dinnertime.

Delicious, large portions

By Joanne M |

Love that there was a vegan restaurant close to the strip. It's not walking distance and you should take a car to get there. Service was quick and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food. My only complaint is that the portions are too big! 🤣 I wanted to try everything, but the portions feed more than one person. We ended up wasting a lot because we couldn't finish a single meal!

Wow! What a fabulous menu filled with so many plant based options!

By Dana W |

Wow! The menu is unbelievable… so many options from breakfast, to international dishes, wraps & burgers. ALL plant based menu and prepared with care and style!

Amazingly delicious!!!!

By Jacks590 |

First let me say that I am not vegan...not even vegetarian! My niece is vegan & she suggested we go to TMV. I couldn’t believe how delicious everything was!!! We ordered poutine for the table and I had gyros. Oh my!!! I would eat there every day for every meal. The flavors are out of this world!!!

Excellent Food at Fair prices.

By PaTwid |

We visited here while on Vacation & were pleasantly please. Ordered: Mac & cheese, fried chicken w/ potato & gravy (can’t remember the name), American chz burger w/ fries, key lime pie. I was not a fan of the Mac & chz it had a smoky taste that overpowered it. Burger was a hit. Chickn was yummy (I got the gravy on the side). Key Lime Cheesecake was epic. Only downside? It was salty, really salty. Also lots of earth balance in my mashed potato masked the potato taste. Pro; lots of choices! I saw the chickn & waffles at the next table & was bummed that I didn’t get it. I was disappointed that I didn’t have time to come back on our short trip....It was that good. Helpful Hint: Uber didn’t recognize the address so you’ll need to use lyft & kind of keep your eyes peeled.

Terrible customer service, particularly from the manager of The Modern Vegan

By B L |

My phoned-in takeout order from The Modern Vegan's online menu included a "Rancho", containing as its primary ingredient "two breaded chicken cutlets". After getting the order back to my room, it was discovered that the (extraordinarily expensive) sandwich only included one chicken patty. Upon phoning TMV to ask for either a partial refund, or the "missing" second patty described in the online menu, the woman on the phone said that the menu had changed recently, and the information on the website was wrong. So basically she was telling me "tough luck, stupid customer, to expect to receive what you had ordered". After a bit of back and forth, the woman said that staffers couldn't do anything to remedy the situation, only the manager could. So, I asked her to phone her manager, who was not currently on site. After a long delay, a male staff member came on the phone and told me that the manager ("Lily") was not going to do anything. After more back and forth, he suggested that I could come in the next day and speak to "Lily" in person. I instead phoned the restaurant the next day, and spoke to a male staff member who asked what I was calling about. I told him the facts, and he relayed back to me that "Lily" was in the kitchen because they were short staffed, and she wasn't willing to talk to me. And she also wasn't going to do anything to make the situation right. I told the staffer that at the very least I would like my 20% tip refunded. He said that I should contest the charge with my credit card company. Then he hung up on me, so I called him back, and after a brief exchange, he hung up again. Great customer service, NOT, from management on down! Within 48 hours of my original phone call, the online menu had coincidentally been updated to no longer say that the "Rancho" contains two patties. In other words, a "bait and switch" had (probably not intentionally) been pulled on me, but rather than showing appreciation for alerting TMV to the error on their website by providing a partial refund, I was basically told to get lost. This was a very bad experience that could have been easily remedied, but due to an extremely unprofessional manager who obviously cares nothing about customer relations, it has led to this warning to other customers to double-check whether what is described on the TMV menu is actually what they are receiving. And based on various other social media reviews, it'd also be wise to double-check their bills to make sure the numbers add up.

Best Vegas vegan restaurant

By Latarah0825 |

OMG this was bar far the best vegan food my husband and ai have had in months. First the inside so very pretty and great decor although the area could fool you but please don't judge by the location. I ordered the chic n waffles and I almost melts away at fist taste. I hadn't had the taste of chicken in so long and this absolutely would have followed me if I didn't know it was vegan. My husband had the Louisiana fried chicken with slaw that was amazing and mashed potatoes that was amazing as well. They had so many options on their menu that it was very hard to narrow down but out waitress told us we picked 2 of their best sellers so we're were very please. If you are vegan and in Las Vegas on vacation I beg of you to try this restaurant and even if you aren't vegan still try it you will LOVE it I promise.

My wife wanted something to eat this morning that was more substantial than a banana, she got it here.,The menu is 100% plant based and vegan. She had chicken and waffles , and I had Louisiana style fried chicken , served with mash potatoes and vegan coleslaw. Both we very good , but bear in mind the servings are massive.Nice to have a place to go that caters to Vegans or people with allergies that have problems at other restaurants.Good job TMV.

Disgustingly Overpriced Old Food

By Indiangurl Q |

I recently visited 'The Modern Vegan", I was really excited to try this spot after reading some of the reviews but, all that changed after I was served OLD FOOD. I couldn't believe it. Just look at the pictures. I do not recommend. Eat at your own risk!

OMG - It was soooooo good.

By PBABD |

If you're looking for truly healthy and well prepared vegan food at a reasonable price this is the place. We went there on Saturday for brunch as we couldn't find anything healthy to eat on the strip. It was a $6 Uber ride and we're so glad we went there even though it's not in the prettiest part of town, but safe especially as there were many young families too. It's a very simple and clean venue in a small strip mall. The food was fabulous. I enjoy large portions and I was very pleased as I left quite full. They've only been open for about 6 months and you can tell they've come a long way. Even with the place being packed the service was excellent and friendly. I would highly recommend TMV. I can't wait to go back and try other menu choices.

Service leaves a lot to be desired

By Gaea W |

Let me start by saying my huge like is that there is free parking and at they dinner always seems to have parking. I've been a few times. First time slightly busy took 5 minutes for someone to even come and seat me. Then 10 minutes for someone to come to my table. Food was unseasoned but plentiful. I read reviews after I got home and felt like it was a one off. Next visit, less crowded still took almost 5 minutes for someone to come and seat me. They were standing around talking. Another 5 minutes for someone to come to my table just to say they'd be back to take my order. After receiving my food no contact until they brought the bill. Food was more seasoned but still not restaurant worthy. Next 2 visits, food was noticeably better tasting, new cook. How are fries cold but the rest of the meal hot? Service still poor. It took slightly less than 5 minutes to be seated (4) but I was ready order by the time someone came to my table. I wish I could attribute poor service to 1 person, but I've had different staff every time I've come in. None of them very good. Do you not like serving single people? Are groups of two or more only worth your time? If my money is no good just say so. You're actually losing money by giving such poor service. I have wanted to order more to go but why order more when it's clear you don't want me there. I think I'll hold off and either find vegan - friendly buffets or eat the parking costs and get generic food. If you ever want to know how places will treat you, go solo. The treatment I get going alone is vastly different than going with even 1 person. I've spent as much as a table of 2 or 3 at places and tipped better. (this is according to servers at different establishments)

Lack of team work

By Gin |

My bf and I were in town visiting before our half marathon last weekend and this place was easy to find. When we came through the door it took about 10 minutes for someone to notice and seat us. My bf ordered a beyond beef burger and I ordered the breakfast burrito. Our waiter was pretty great but we could tell that this place doesn’t use team work. There were times throughout our meal that we would need something white our waiter would be busy and the other waitress would walk pass with her head down, careful to not make eye contact with us so that she wouldn’t have to help us. She was dressed minimally so maybe she was only going to tend to the tables that were mostly men. Which is what she did. Anyway, our food was good but just wish we could of had more attentive service. Our waiter did the best he could. When you work in a place like this you have to have good team working skills or the place will fall apart. I also had left overs, I had only eaten one half of my wrap. I asked for it to be re-wrapped before I left because it wasn’t wrapped well to begin with. The waiter brought it back in a to-go box but it hadn’t been re-wrapped at all. Just dumped in a to-go box.

Wonderful food!

By Cancungurl |

I was elated to find such an extensive vegan menu and surprised at both the quality and service of such a busy spot. We tried the biscuits and gravy with mashed potatoes and they were on point. The mushroom gravy was amazing- -the biscuits and potatoes tasted like grandma’s recipe! The gyro was fresh with an excellent sauce and pita pocket, the jalapeño poppers were delicious, and the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had! Definitely one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever tried and my only complaint is that I have to travel 500 miles to try the extensive offerings this restaurant has to offer. Can’t wait to come back!

The best vegan in town!

By RebeccaN1 |

The best vegan menu in town! My husband had the penne with sausage and I had the beef stroganoff with fettuccine; both were tasty. The I love God chocolate brownie dessert was delicious!!! Will be back when in town.

Most amazing menu ever!

This place was amazing! Entirely plant based and everything was amazing! Much better than we can find near us in California. Try it! Will definitely visit when we return.

Vegan dining with lots of gluten free options

By SeattleReebs |

Took a gluten free teen and a vegan spouse here and everyone was happy. Seriously great for that reason alone. The food was above average cafe food, with lots and lots and lots of options. The service was friendly, and fast. Can't really go wrong with this place.

Amazing!

By Batch |

So we visited las vegas and were looking for a vegan place to eat . TMV has it all from milkshakes to amazing burgers, all vegan . I absolutely loved the food potions and so many options we actually visited in 2022 in August. The staff were so friendly and would go out there way to help you . The location is a bit out the way but Absolutely worth it . We will be back !!!!!!!

An absolutely delicious place to dine!

By Irini G |

This is the best restaurant serving absolutely divine and delicious gourmet plant based foods. We took some family there who love meat, and they loved the food and the atmosphere. Carlos at TMV was so friendly and helpful and made our night special. What an incredible place to eat! We went 4 times and we were delighted. Thank you Carlos and thank you TMV!!!!

Love it, but...

By Chip N |

I have had some great food here with just a few exceptions. The only issues I’ve experienced are two concerning underdone (not fully cooked/heated) battered dishes. One was the deep fried macaroni & cheese, the other was corn dogs. In both instances, the food had a marvelous taste but they were not fully cooked. It’s unpleasant to bite into something that is icy cold in the center or to get the taste of raw batter in an underdone corn dog. Regardless of those two issues, the overwhelming number of positive visits to the Modern Vegan vastly outweigh these two small issues.

Delicious and Exciting Vegan Food

By ADifferentStation |

Fabulous food and a good vibe. Admittedly the facade looks rather ordinary, but this merely proves to never judge a book by its cover. We stopped off for lunch and were amazed at the extensive menu. The sandwiches we had were delicious. In particular, the Reuben sandwich was obscenely good. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only regret is that we only ate here once during our stay in Las Vegas. Can't wait to go back...

Great food and service. Menu is almost too big - server had to come back a few times before we could decide. Also a LOT of food - I would say the potatoes added to the v'eggs Benny and the chick'n waffles weren't necessary as there was already plenty of food. That being said it was delicious!

great meal!

Nice place, love that we could order anything on the menu. tried the buffalo chicken sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. both very good. service was very good, staff were helpful. Modern decor.

Great food just need to lower their prices

By jenna l |

Been a few times good food. Service can be hit or miss. Prices are high, the Mac attack burger is over $20! I paid $5 for bottle of tea. Places really need to offer better prices for vegan food.

Just fine

By dtlvtbl |

I don't want to say this restaurant is either fantastic or terrible, it's just "middle of the road". I dined at about midnight, so they had already switched to their late night menu, which is a bit sparse, and is reminiscent of bar food. Lots of fried food, mostly sandwiches. The atmosphere really didn't do it for me. It's clean if not a bit sterile, but far too bright, and the way the service is run is more akin to a cafeteria then a sit-down dining experience. That was the real weak point for me. The food I ate was tasty, but again, no really shining moments. I can only see myself coming back if I'm really hungry late night if I was out in that part of town clubbing. Great hours as they are open until 5am on the weekends. I work nights, so this is a real bonus for me.

The food is good, and there's many selections . . .

By SkiptotheLOUmydarlin |

The menu is large - many, many options. The food is extremely edible. I am not a vegan, not even a vegetarian - but some of my friends are. We were visiting the Las Vegas area and found this gem. We liked it so much, we went there 3 times - in 3 days! I had the Frenchie - 3 large pieces of french toast smothered in fruit. The first time it was perfect - just a little syrup, which is how I like it. When we wend back, I ordered it again and it was swimming in syrup - so you might want to ask for the syrup on the side. Still good, I just don't care for soggy syrupy french toast. I also tried the avocado toast - twice. 3 large pieces, one with tomato with avocado drizzle, asparagus with drizzle, and one with perfectly sliced avocado. Again, the first order was perfection! The second time we went back, while it tasted good, but was not presented as well as the first order and the toppings weren't as generous. I also had the sweet potato fries, which were MANY, very good and satisfying. I wish I had take photos, but I never seem to think about it.

Nice night out

By Loren L |

The atmosphere was very nice. The selection was wide and various types of dishes. Service was right on. I had STUFFED PORTOBELLO STEAK Portobello steak topped with our lobster mix and melted mozzarella. Served with sautéed seasonal vegetables and asparagus, drizzled with pesto. The pesto was delicious. The lobster mix didn't have much of taste. Over all the dish was good. I would go back and try another dish.

Great Vegan Restaurant!

What a find! Varied menu, reasonable prices, friendly staff. An added plus—- beer, wine and cocktails. The Cauliflower Wings are a must have! Our server, Kristen, was great.

TMV Was So Farkin Good

By JColk |

The Modern Vegan's marathon menu and amazing take on Vegan Junkfood makes for the best vegan experience I have had in Sin City thus far. What it lacks in originality it makes-up in triple with its fantastic presentation and flavor. We were able to delight ourselves in two breakfast dishes, both waffle related, and were psyched about each. I would not consider this healthy food by any stretch of the imagination - what we had was glorious vegan junkfood in its finest form. The menu is HUGE with tons of options from all over the meal spectrum. Feeling like breakfast? They've got it. Smoothies? They've got it. Bar food? They've got it. It's a schmorgishboard of insanely delicious options, I was completely overwhelmed. It took us a while to decide what to order. The restaurant is located within an isolated strip mall, not far from the Hard Rock Casino, nearby a 711 and a few other random shops. The inside is nothing too fancy, very bright and modern which may be offputting for some, but we found the decor very clean and inviting. There was a modern looking bar with tvs on in the background. We were able to get seated right away for breakfast on a Sunday morning - awesome! I ordered the "Todd", which was a waffle with bananas, peanut butter and chocolate. While it left me with a bit of a sugar high, it was absolutely delicious and I cleaned my plate with ease. This is very sugary but not overly sweet (not certain how to explain this), and the feeling of the sugar entering your system will maybe be overwhelming in comparison to the taste. I was extremely satisfied. My girlfriend ordered Chickn' and Waffles and we were honestly almost disturbed by how authentic the chicken tasted -- in a good way. In the end, we wished we had more room in our bellys to sample more of the extensive menu. We were only in Vegas for a weekend, but if the hours had worked out, we would have returned for a second meal - it was that good!

So-so food, poor customer service

By Scott N |

I do my best to support plant-based eateries, but this one was a HUGE miss. They left the salad dressing off my salad and subbed Diet Pepsi for Diet Coke without notifying me ahead of time, so I chatted with grubhub about the issue. Lavanda called the restaurant on my behalf and was told that I needed to request salad dressing separately. Um, 1. the salad description listed salad dressing as being included, and 2. that's insane. So I choked down my dry salad with soda I don't like after nice Lavanda was lied to. 3 stars for so-so food, -3 stars for 2 problems with the order and terrible customer service.

Absolutely Delicious!

By TWE |

Fantastic restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff. The only negative point is the look from outside...looks very dark and with windows covered. I thought the restaurnt was closed at first but once you are inside looks very clean and bright.

Awesome food but service needs improvement

By jenna l |

First off the food is amazing. Tasty and large portions. However the three different servers we had (why three I don’t know), were not particularly friendly or attentive. It was my birthday and when mentioned we got no reply. Aside from this, we also were not topped up regularly with water or asked if we needed anything else after our food was brought. My husband specifically brought me here for a special birthday lunch and though the food was very good, it would have been nice to have friendly, consistent, attentive service. We felt more like numbers or cash than customers sadly. :(

Buffalo Mac N Cheese

By Shakyra Amee |

This place has a great vibe and awesome customer service! A little pricey but most meals well worth it. This go around I got the buffalo Mac n cheese skillet. Pretty tasty but the Mac n cheese was a tad bit bland. The flavor of the buffalo sauce is good not too spicy and rich in flavor. Overall after i added a little bit of seasoning to the Mac n cheese I was in heaven. Love this spot!

Generous serving size!? Amazing..

By Orla |

I had a great experience and so glad I've discovered this place! Close to strip 👌🏻 Open space, so good for small and large groups. Seating area if there's a wait. Large serving sized meals, which is unheard of for vegan food. Large menu which is overwhelming for the first time in life! Staff are sweet and welcoming. Meals aren't a cop out to vegan options. They actually recreate meals like fried chicken which you wouldn't be able to have otherwise. So it's a real treat to order a real meal that you would love to order anywhere else if you could! Very happy! I plan to try everything on their menu....

GOOD A** FOOD - NO FLESH:)

By Freereinfr |

Whether you’re vegan, you’re slowly transitioning away from flesh foods OR you just NEED a guaranteed , FEEL GOOD meal to recharge/restore, we alllll can meet up at TMV and hash it out over delicious flavors, within a calming yet bright and refreshing atmosphere. Over my two week stay in Vegas i pulled up to TMV 4 or 5 times! Lol. My favorite dishes: Buffalo Chick’n Cheese Dip (#1), Sweet Potato Fries (the best ive had in my life!!), Spicy Crispy Chick’n Sandwich, Fried Jumbo Shrimp (taste very authentic but better bc no shrimp poop is involved :) , The Buffalo (another spicy chicken sandwich:), and the BBQ Brisket Mac N Cheese was very solid!!!!! i ordered their top shelf Cadillac Margarita countless times! (Just a good marg…. If you know a good marg.) Dude i miss this place so much now I’m back in VA. TMV is walking distance from the NEW Virgin Hotel (the famous old hard rock, check my review on the Virgin) and only about a 5-10 min drive from anywhere else on the strip. heads up! They will kindly ask you to wait outside in line if a table is not readily available for you to be seated. My longest wait was about 15 mins, no complaints, it was totally worth it:D friendly staff, good vibes, a MUST on your Vegas Restaurant Bucket List ! thank you TMV, ill be back :D

All vegan! So delicious. They

All vegan! So delicious. They have a variety of choices and actual food. Large portions. I had the Alfredo with veggies and “chicken”. Lots of garlic!!

Most imaginative vegan menu ever

By Veganguy |

Sometimes being a vegan is more rewarding than one could imagine and today’s lunch was the perfect example. Google their menu and you will be hopping on a plane to Vegas if you’re not already here. My very patient and informative server was called Scott. He helped me as I agonized over the menu and made very good suggestions and points of clarification on the myriad offers. As I later said to Yvette, the general manager, there are too many items from which to choose. After a few hours of deliberations and consultations I finally woke Scott and ordered the asparagus skillet. Lucky me because it was mouth watering and huge. I really had to stop myself sampling as I looked at all the passing dishes on their way to other tables. After a suitable after-meal nap I had the apple crumble called (Don’t Stop). I loved it but only ate about half. Wow was it tantalizing and flavourful. Yvette stopped by to ask about my experience, it was a pleasure to meet and speak with her about the restaurant and all things vegan. I envy all of the very fortunate Las Vegans this regular experience. Be aware that they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays. That cost me two Uber rides to find out but I’m very happy that I returned. This is a great reason to come back to Vegas, if only TMV had an adjoining Airbnb!

All yummy vegan foods

By sabineishere |

we stayed in Vegas for a week and since we didn't have a kitchen in our hotel room we pretty much ate at TMV every day. We didn't mind though. The food was always well prepared with many options and large portions. The service can be slow at times but otherwise this was a restaurant we appreciated and loved. Wished we had a place like this in our town. The mashed potatoes - yummy! waffels - yummy! Why people have to add cow milk or eggs to these types of dishes is beyond me. No doubt even non vegans will love the food!

Lovely food, great concept, brilliant place for vegans and none vegans who would like to try

By Lily l |

We ordered take away first then we decided another day that we will visit the restaurant ...it’s a modern bright concept food is delicious I highly recommend it as got so much choice . The only bit of down fall was when we were there staff talk way to much with each other while costumers waiting to order .

Huge menu, great all vegan food!

By Chuck H |

I visited this place with friends on a Wednesday evening in late October. It was easy to get to via ride share. There was no waiting for a table. The menu had MANY choices. The server was friendly and very helpful. We didn't wait too long for our meals to arrive. We tried "chicken" and waffles, a whopper 2.0 special, and Louisiana fried "chicken". It was all great, and portions were huge. The only downside was prices. I had a burger, fries, and a margarita; with the included 20% tip my bill was like $42. That's too much, even in Vegas.

Strip Mall Diamond in the Ruff

What a great surprise! A very extensive all vegan menu and wonderful food! Try the Philly Cheesesteak. Just amazing! We’ll definitely be back for more!

AMAZING MENU

By christina marie J |

So menu options! The servers were very friendly and the food came out fast. We ubered there twice from the Strip to eat there because it was so dang good! We tried the mac n chz baseballs, biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, fish tacos (yum) and a dessert! All were amazing!

Must Try

By Bill S |

Let me first say I am not a vegan but wanted to give this new restaurant a try. So glad I did. The food was very interesting and the portions were over the top. Service was good and servers were extremely friendly. Took a lot of time explaining the menu. I have no doubt this restaurant will have a successful run, well worth the stop. Will be back!!!!

Soggy cold food for $100

By Michael O |

Hello, When we visit family in LV we always go to MV and it has been good. Due to illness we opted to order for delivery. What a disappointment. The food was delivered 30 minutes later than promised. The food was cold and soggy. The club sandwich fell apart in a mass of soggy bread-threw it away. The chicken sandwich bread was so soggy we threw the bread away and additionally, we asked no mayo and it had a lot which contributed to the soggy mass. Both regular and sweet potato fries were soggy and cold. The bowl was also cold. Most of this was thrown away after paying over $100 for the food. So disappointing.

Server created own tip and signed my receipt.

By Doreen M |

Buyer beware! I placed a to-go order over the phone and the employee, Brayan, taking the order said I needed to provide my credit card payment over the phone. When I picked up the order I asked to sign my purchase slip. Brayan said he misplaced it and not to worry about it. When I got home and checked my credit card purchases, I discovered the charge was $10.00 more than had been communicated. I contacted management and Lele sent me a copy of my receipt which had been signed by the employee with the $10.00 tip added. She then had the employee call me with a story he had come up with about me approving a double tip and stated that I was “lying”. I am appalled by the way management handled the situation and the fact that this employee is taking advantage of their customers. I had to dispute the $10.00 with my credit card company since restaurant management offered zero solutions. Please be aware of fraudulent charges when visiting this restaurant!

Best vegan food in Vegas

By Juipi |

THE BEST VEGAN FOOD IN VEGAS! As simple as that! The portions are big and the food is delicious! Excellent service, and they have a lot of gluten free options. Our server Scott was very helpful and on top of everything. So far we tried the skillets, the pasta, the falafel, onion rings, Philly cheesecake and everything was so good. The trio cheesecake is really good too! If you are in vegas you have to stop and enjoy their food.

You don’t have to be vegan to eat here!

By sally m |

Amazingly delicious food and beverage. It is all vegan and all delicious. Don’t let the word vegan stop you. You can have a fantastic meal without meat and dairy.

Just okay

By Vanessa C |

I had the fried chicken and mash potatoes. It was really smothered chicken and mash potatoes. It was seasoned well and came with a side of coleslaw (which was dry). I big portion. My friends had mac and cheese (which was not good), the brisket and mac and cheese bowl (the brisket tasted really good). The fruit punch was not good. They did a good job trying to make vegan food look like regular food, but they need to work on the overall taste.

Great!

By Robert W |

The food was great. The service fast and polite. From outside it looked like it was closed, but inside it looks modern 👍 We got big portions. Totally recommend!

LOVE MODERN VEGAN

By Shelley B |

My husband and I absolutely adore this restaurant! We've been vegan and vegetarian for years and have always found it very difficult to find things to eat at the hotels in Vegas. So finding The Modern Vegan has been life changing! At least in Las Vegas! Great food, a big menu, good service and we will be back!

Exzellent while pricy vegan restaurant

By Vieltraveller |

Excellent vegan restaurant with very friendly staff. The menu seems expensive but the portions are huge and are at least enough for two - or a second dinner when taking the left overs home.

Great food not just for vegans

By helenarw2018 |

They had a variety of foods from smoothie bowls and salads to beyond meat and vegan lobster, really great and soooo delicious! The portions were generous and filling. A very friendly service as well. 5 stars and we will come back!

Breakfast, brunch or lunch

By Bcr8tve |

5 stars based on the delicious food I had and what I watched walk by. Very flavorful, big varierty and nicely presented in big square plates. Ambience is loud, hard surfaces everywhere and the music is up a few notches. Bar with $20 bottomless mimosas waitress said pretty much all day. Servings are big enough to share. 3 stars on the bathroom floors that were yucky as well as the little hall to the kitchen which I walked down by mistake. From the curb the restaurant looks closed with black Windows but inside is pretty mixed crowd, families, couples, friends, solo locals and travellers. I will be back.

Horrible service

By Gau |

Hi foodies , Usually it does not happen that u visit a restaurant and come out hungry !! But this is what exactly happened during our visit ! The server we had was so over confident with her phenomenal memory that she did not care to write down our order NOR did she properly enter it in her computer neither did she correspond it to the cooks inside !! all we ate was a basic quickly dumped salad from a plastic bag !! (pre made from the grocery store), a burnt desert for heavens sake a decently grilled potato dish. we ordered 6 dishes not including drinks , and only 3 came on the table with only ONE that was decent and edible !! her name was Lindsay . DO NOT ORDER FROM HER IF SHE IS UR SERVER . food seems great on the Menu unless it is served right and tastes right it is not GREAT !!

Had 2 meals here and wish we had the time for more

By AJ |

We first became aware of TMV via instagram and found out that it wasn't far from where we were staying in Vegas. We had 2 mammoth meals here. Both were awesome and of epic proportions. The staff are super friendly but seem a little stretched at times. We were planning on coming back but didn't realise that TMV was shut on a Monday and Tuesday until it was too late. Until next time.

Great Vegan Food!!

By LindaVegas1955 |

I am not vegan but both my daughters are. This is the BEST stand-alone vegan restaurant in Las Vegas. The menu is huge! I ordered the Eggless salad sandwich and it was just like the real thing. Their prices are reasonable. It is very busy on the weekend but the staff is friendly and accommodating. We met Gia, the owner, and she is creative and personable. Her restaurant is a hidden gem. I highly recommend you check it out!

Top Notch A*

By RescuedVegan |

Nothing compared to this restaurant on our six week US road trip. This place is the best we’ve ever eaten at. It deserves to be top rated. Food was amazing, we couldn’t finish the portions. Clean, welcoming, and the Menu is so extensive, it almost overface’s you as you want to spend a week in Vegas, just to try everything!! We had hot wings, to die for ( but nothing did! ) Please come to England. Soon!

amazing food & lovely staff!

By Sophie |

planned to visit here after researching vegan food in vegas. its location is a bit of a drive from the strip, think we paid around $12 dollars in a taxi from the luxor. when we arrived we thought it was closed as the windows are blacked out but once inside its lovely, bright and very clean. our waiter was amazing and so friendly - i’m annoyed i didn’t catch his name! he was really helpful suggesting dishes as the menu was overwhelming (not a bad thing!) i had the frenchie which was french toast with a mountain of bananas, strawberries, walnuts, apple & blueberries and my partner had the gyro burger (see photos) couldn’t fault the food it was incredible and the portions are huge. would recommend to anyone and would definitely visit again!

Best Vegan Chicken Sandwich!

By Rubiosworld |

By far the best vegan chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! All worth the $17 for the sandwich and fires, no complaints here. The waiters are extremely helpful on guiding you through the many choices they offer as well. If you are vegan or not you MUST swing by this place on your visit in Vegas.

Vegans... Eat here

By Josh B |

This hip Vegan restaurant is 100% plant based and a Vegans dream! The menu is HUGE and the staff is super friendly!

Absolutely Wonderful

By Bobbie McKeefry |

The food and service was amazing!! Even someone not vegan would love this restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but the portions are huge! They are taking extra precautions with COVID-19 so we felt it was very safe. They had a wide menu and daily special.

Lunch

By SavannahB |

My husband and I are from Alaska, so finding an all vegan restaurant with actually diverse options was amazing! This place has a very classy/fancy vibe with a huuuuge menu with anything you could imagine and more. The portions are enormous so you can easily get your lunch and dinner to go with 1 order. Everything tasted spectacular and the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive.

Great Vegan restaurant

By Kim T |

This restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere. We were not rushed to order. The staff was helpful with recommendations and answering our questions. The food was very tasty. We had the loaded nachos and was very filling. The pad Thai noodle was amazingly delicious. The El guapo burger was stacked high with various items and was easier to eat with a fork and knife. The sweet potato fries weren’t soggy or greasy-they were cooked just right. We were too full for dessert, but the variety was appealing.

Pricey

By zulia66 |

A little pricey, however the ‘monkey business’ dessert was awesome. Never knew non dairy ice cream could be so good. Water without ice when its 108 degrees outside, not cool.

Oh my! Highly recommend and I'm not even a vegan

By Nancy_Ottawa |

This was a new experience for me. I eat anything, and love good food. The is definitely the type of restaurant you can take a mixed group and everyone will find a choice as the menu is big – almost too big. The waffles and fried chicken did not disappoint - the fried “chicken” batter was crispy and packed with flavour, impossible to tell it wasn’t a meat product, the waffles light & fluffly with a generous dousing of maple syrup (could easily be shareable as the serving was huge). I also tasted the Reuben, which I thought was super, again packed with flavour, but the rest of our party took a pass as they didn’t care for the sauerkraut. The Buffalo Burger was another hit. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Vegan Dining in Las Vegas near UNLV

By Lin V |

I had to try this new place in Las Vegas. It is very near the UNLV campus, and frankly, the menu was so big, I think I would probably have to go here 50 times before I could try Everything. What caught My eye immediately was Florentine with mashed potatoes. I am a sucker for mashed potatoes. This dish was beautiful, beautifully presented, great blend of flavors, appetizing in every way, and extremely filling. I had intended to get dessert but forget that. The mashed potatoes were creamy, mashed with skin on, and they had a great flavor from the combination of the other vegetables in this dish. No, I did not lick the plate... The decor is beautiful clean, black and white, a metaphor for what our food choices should be. Black and white, food is either healthy or it isn't. The background music is what you would expect for a college location, and the big screen TVs all around displayed adorable animal pictures. And added bonus, free coffee refills! I completely enjoyed this experience and have every intention to return.

CELIAC avoid this restaurant

By paola1 |

Last night I went to this restaurant because my diet is Plant Based and I am also Celiac. Their menu has plenty of Gluten Free options. I went super excited to try their food. I ordered two appetizers, Their Breakfast Potato and Loaded Nachos, both marked with GF. When the appetizers arrived, I wanted to order Burger (they do offer gluten free bun) with fries. Their fries also marked with GF on the menu but because of past bad experiences with “fries” I asked if they fry something with gluten in the same fryer. Since the waitress was new, he could not answer the question, so he went to the Chef to ask. In the meantime, I ended up eating 2 nachos. The waitress returned and said that their fries are not gluten free since the fried something with gluten in the same fryer. Therefore, also the Nachos and the breakfast potatoes are not gluten free. Too late for me!!!! I was confused because on the menu the nachos and the breakfast potatoes were marked GF, and I could not see any warning on their menu about cross contamination. I told him to please call the chef so she can explain me better what my options are and to provide me with answers why they mark it GF when it is NOT!!! Well, the waitress came with another person that claimed she is a “dietitian” and both apologize on behalf of the chef because the chef was "too busy". The person said that the do have 2 separate fryers but sometimes they just use one fryer to fry all their food. The Chef did not come out to say nothing!!! And when I got the bill, I was in shock to see that they did not even give discount for their mistake. I did not want to create a scene in the restaurant because we were with other guests. I just kept my self-calm and decided to just write this review. They definitely knew they were doing something wrong marking GF on their food when it is not!!!! It is 5:42am I couldn’t sleep the whole night, end up vomiting and having severe stomach pain. I wrote this review not to put their food down, the food was delicious. This restaurant should not mark their food GLUTEN FREE when in reality they don’t use the dedicated gluten free fryer. This show lack of education!!! So, if you are Celiac, DO NOT go to this restaurant!!!!

Gem in Vegas for Vegan Enthusiasts

By MooreVegasFood |

This place, although kind of sucked off and not in an obvious space, is a gem in Las Vegas for vegan food enthusiasts. For starters, I got the chickpea crab cakes. They were amazing and I suggest anyone who eats here to get them! I also got the bbq brisket Mac n cheese, which most people LOVE when they order. I didn’t care for the cheese at all but the bbq sauce was good. I tried my friend’s waffles and they were amazing. I cant wait to go back to try the burgers!

Great ambiance, service and incredibly vegan delights!

By kdarth1 |

Our experience at TMV was incredible both times we visited during our stay in Las Vegas. The vegan comfort food was second to none. Absolutely incredibly flavors, textures, and presentation. The service was friendly and helpful. It was worth the slightly higher cost for the outstanding meal. Worth every penny, and simply amazing!

Garbage

By Fukumoney F |

Ordered biscuits and gravy waffles and chicken. Strawberry and Oreo milkshake. And mac & cheese. That sh@! was like $80. The biscuits were disgusting. It look like slop. The mac & cheese taste like water down I have no idea what it taste like. The waffle was f@&$ing weird the syrup was sticky and gooey what the f@&K. The waffle was good. The chicken it was fair. And the milkshakes are great. So out of all that to milkshakes is what fills me up

Best vegan restaurant in Las Vegas

By Carly C |

Wow unbelievable! I am not even vegan and this food was sublime. The chicken and waffles was the best I ever had. Doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not, go eat at Modern Vegan, you will not be disappointed.

This is Vegan?!

By Cynthia Y |

I guess this place is known for it's chicken and waffle and a lot of the tables ordered it but I had the Veggs Florentine, that was excellent! Two of my friends are devout Vegans and my one other friend came for the ride but loved her order too! Our server was excellent and knowledgeable, you know she loves the food there also! We are planning to visit for lunch one more time before we leave Vegas...I have to say my food journey in Vegas was a success!

Expensive... But excellent.

By GWC1990 |

The meal that you have here will be expensive, there's no getting around that, but it'll be delicious. We were a party of three, ordering two burgers and a mac & cheese. We were all very impressed and really enjoyed our food. Beware, you'll not know until the bill comes, but they charge you extra for condiments. Honestly, adding dollars to your bill for ketchup and mayo given the price of the mains just feels a bit underhand. The service leaves a lot to be desired too. We all wanted to pay for our own meals but the server outright refused. Why not make it easy to take our money? As a group of friends travelling with bank accounts in different currencies, it made settling up for our meal massively inconvenient.

Amazing food

By Jeff V |

Incredible food and friendly service. My family loved everything. For starters we had fried mozzarella balls and jalapeño poppers. The sauce that came with both was delicious. For entrees, the biggest hits were the chicken and waffles on mashed potatoes and the buffalo chicken sandwich. They are vegan wizards.

Amazing breakfast

By Ashleigh2391 |

I had waffles and my husband had a breakfast burrito the portions were huge and great value for money! Delicious food and lovely staff

Impressive Vegan Restaurant

By billyhockey |

The Modern Vegan has a huge menu! We visited the restaurant at the end of our trip to Las Vegas and wish that we had visited at the beginning, so that we could have returned, again and again, for more. I tried the Penne Primavera which was delicious. If I have a complaint, it is that there was too much! It felt like the meal had been super-sized; despite my best effort, I was not able to eat it all. Our server was easygoing and amiable, able to answer all of our questions about the menu, and make good recommendations (including with respect to the craft beer). This restaurant was our favourite on our trip to Las Vegas.

Pleading plant-based menu

By TEW |

During a quick weekend I had dinner here two separate night. The variety of food options and drink are great. The fast casual dining area is minimalist and modern. I appreciate the automated bathrooms. I highly recommend eating here. You can't go wrong. Food is timely and tasty.

Brunch

By J Q |

Travis is an awesome waiter! No doubt, im sure it got overwhelming when the place gets slammed he has no back up :( I ordered the biscuits & gravy $25 add crispy chicken filet/ beyond sausage patty for an extra $5. my food came out and i was wondering where was my crispy chicken. (At this point about 50 people have arrived) i ask the waiter where’s my crispy chicken and he told me I didn’t order it, i told him yes i did i told u i would like the crispy chicken cause I don’t like beyond patties….like who orders biscuits and gravy (all carbs) with no crispy chicken filet, let alone why would it be an option to add on for $5 more dollars? it should be a whole meal. anyways i told him i would like the crispy chicken and it took forever to come out. look at my bill and it said $9 charge for crispy chicken. Asked the waiter hey it said $5 add on for the filet why was i charged $9 for it??? He said u didn’t order it with the biscuits and gravy. You ordered it later as a side!? I was just mind blown..you got slammed i get it but to tell me I didn’t order something lol not cool. i had 1 drink biscuits and gravy (which looked like clumpy gelatin, gross) and my order was $80 some.

Food portions huge!

By CBee2424 |

Maybe because we've only been later at night when the restaurant is not busy, but we've always had really fantastic service here. The waiters are always attentive, keep refilling our waters, ask if we want additional drinks or need anything, etc. They were also helpful in letting us know about cross contamination due to a member of our group having certain food allergies. The food is a little expensive, but the portions are huge and the menu is extensive.

Great Vegan option in Las Vegas

By Arie K |

My daughter and I really enjoyed our recent brunch at The Modern Vegan. Though the recipe is not readable on line (they need to fix this), there is something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken with Waffles and the Philly Steak.

Good vegan spot in Vegas

By Talli86 |

This place serves up pretty good vegan food at reasonable prices. We ate the popcorn Chicken for starter and then I had the Pad Thai and my Partner has the Chicken pretzel burger. My partner enjoyed his burger and I really enjoyed my Pad Thai, I couldn’t finish it the portion size was huge! The menu is large so there is something for everyone. It’s a bit of a way from the strip so be prepared to take a taxi.

100% vegan food with a huge selection. Many items are "comfort food" like mac and cheese. They also serve beer and mixed drinks. Prices are reasonable and it's not far off the south end of the strip. Our only complaint was that we were not in Vegas long enough to try more of the dishes!

Delicious, varied menu

By Sam_UK_9 |

We came for breakfast and we were overwhelmed with the extensive menu with offerings which you rarely see in vegan restaurants. The food and service were great. Will definitely visit again if I’m in Vegas.

Yummy chik'n & waffles

By cmoy2015 |

Hubby found this great began place. Has A LOT of choices. I had the chik'n & waffles. It comes with mashed potatoes which I didn't eat. I think mashed potatoes is a bit much for the dish. Others may love it. We are actually going back for dinner.

What a gem for starving vegans in Vegas! ;)

I found quite challenging to eat out when vegan in Las Vegas. This restaurant was just what we needed! Had the most delicious food, generous portion, and exceptional desserts. The choices are endless, it's a paradise for a hungry vegan! We were served by Carlos, a lovely man who was so wonderful to talk to, he helped us decide what to go for. Overall a great experience and I would happily eat there everyday if my schedule allowed. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Good Vegan Food (that anyone would enjoy)

We were happy to find this killer vegan restaurant just a few-minutes drive off the strip...it's located in an unassuming strip mall right by UNLV and I hope it stays around because I'll come here every time I'm in town. The menu is massive--I mean really, really extensive and can suit any desire. I had the buffalo cauliflower and "chicken" popcorn and both were crazy good. Excellent side sauces. My man had the tofu pinwheel and it was just so-so, but his "pulled pork" burger on a pretzel bun was great (best bun ever, he says). He wants to come back and try the "cheese steak" because he feels like they understand "meat" textures here. Next time, I want to try their "chicken soup" and one of their salads--and I definitely want to have one if not both of their interesting avo toast options. Very creative takes on a staple. The staff was extremely friendly and upbeat and several people were servicing our table, so we never needed to ask for or wait for anything. The food came out quickly, the taste were exceptional, and the ambience was modern, yet casual, so I think it's a great place to take people who are committed vegans, transitioning into vegetarianism, or full-blown meat eaters.

Fantastic vegan menu, fun vibe, terrific service

By TedSLC |

We chose Modern Vegan because it's one of the few all-vegan restaurants open for breakfast. We were glad we did! There were so many amazing choices on the menu, but I wound up getting the chik'n and waffles, and my wife got the v'eggs benny. Both were delicious and the portions HUGE. Service was friendly, attentive, and prompt, and the restaurant had a fun vibe and modern decor. We will most certainly go back on our next trip to Vegas.

Worth the side trip

Strip food can be “excessive”. The menu here includes a surprisingly broad array of tasty and, presumably, healthy items.

Amazing food

This is the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. Excellent service, practically zero wait time, huuuuge portions, and amazing food. Best chicken I've ever had, best pasta too. Make sure to plan for at least 2 meals here, you won't be able to sample enough in one day. Convenient location if you're staying at Virgin. Otherwise, rent a car or Uber. My only suggestion would be to offer a half portion size option. Tourists don't have microwaves at our hotels; mini fridges and microwaves must be illegal in the entire city of Las Vegas or something bc I had to throw away perfectly good food several times over the course of my trip. It ENRAGES me to throw away food, so I appreciate any restaurant that offers a smaller, lunch sized portion that I can actually finish in one sitting. I know it's Babylon but we can at least pretend to not be gluttonous and wasteful. Soap box aside, I wish they would expand this restaurant nationwide. Everyone would love it, the food wasn't too niche and the menu is very approachable. Highly recommend!

I can’t wait to go back!!

It’s sad how the word ‘vegan’ will turn some people away, but it shouldn’t! TMV is one of Las Vegas’ best restaurants! Their coffee alone is worth the trip off the strip to find them! Then the menu... it’s amazing! As you read through it, it doesn’t read like a non-vegan would expect! The options are extensive and every one sounds like an incredible dish! I have eaten here 4 times now, dragging every person I can find along w me! They’re all new fans as well. If you’re vegan, this is the place for you. If you’re a vegetarian, this is the place for you! If you’re a carnivore, this is still the place for you! Try it! You’ll be happy you did! xo

Great Vegan Food

By DrShaunW |

My wife and I visited during our trip to Las Vegas. We are vegan and having a plant based restaurant near our hotel was amazing. The food was so good that we returned several times during our trip!

The best meal I've had in a long while!

By Jedimindtricks |

We went for lunch and had the chicken and waffles and a breakfast (can't remember its name) - holy crap, they were good...like, ridiculously good. So good, we went back the same night for dinner and had the corn dogs, mac n cheese and spaghetti and meatballs - also all delicious. I'm kind of glad I don't live in Vegas or I'd end up obese, cause I wouldn't be able to stop go to TMV and eating. Definitely will be back on my next visit.

AMAZING

This place is amazing! Don’t let the outside appearance fool you. My entire family enjoyed their meal and only 2 out of 7 of us are vegan/vegetarian.

vegan comfort food

By MihirMeghani |

This is a plant based comfort food restaurant off the strip in a shopping center. The portions are very big. Service was good & fast.

Portions are unreal

By Love2Travel66 |

Happy to support Vegan restaurant in Las Vegas but the portions are good for at least two people if not four. Tried the chicken waffles and Eggs Benny - both came on pile of mashed potatoes which alone could have been a meal. Food was good but I’d rather pay less for smaller portions and not have to waste food.

Vegan in Vegas!

By J M |

Amazing food and excellent service! We couldn't have asked for more with Alex, literally everything was taken care of before we could ask... but we did have to double check that the menu was all plant based because it is unbelievable. The Ruben was cooked tender, meaty, and full of flavor. The French toast bacon grilled cheese was the perfect combination of sweet & savory. And we feel sorry for anyone who doesn't get the Buffalo chik'n cheese dip! Do yourself a favor and go to The Modern Vegan, hope you get Alex, and enjoy some of the best food in Vegas PERIOD.

Cool decor, wonderful food.

Really good vegan food. Bit pricey. We went very late at night, but the author agreed to whip up something from the main menu rather than the snack menu.

Best fake meat ever!!

By Kinder B |

The best fake grilled chicken ever! Not sure how they did but tasted so meat like. Also had the gyros which was so tasty with he sauce being so creamy. We also had the lobster roll, which was nice but other things we got are a must try!! Good service and friendly staff. Would love to explore more of the menu!

Excellent food in pleasant environment

By 20_times_ATW |

My number 2 choice of vegan restaurants in Las Vegas. The furniture is like a cafe, but the service is good and the food is excellent. Don't be put off by the menu which lists kinds of meats and fish. Our waitress assured us that everything is vegan. I went with colleagues and we had the salad bowl, the beef strogonoff, and the penne. For desserts we had ice cream and chocolate mousse. All was good. The place is easy to find and close to the airport, so a good stop before your flight. The negative aspect was that we were provided plastic straws for our drinks, which I refused.

Very, very good vegetarian food PERIOD ❣️☺️

My husband and I just came back from Las Vegas for a quick anniversary vacation and was staying on the strip. We were not able to find anything with substance and taste on the strip except for $30 impossible burgers. We decided to venture out and researched vegan restaurants well we came across this amazing eatery. The first time my husband and I went to the restaurant ( and may I say the Decour is charming, and modern… And everyone who works there or just oh so helpful and knowledgeable everything on the menu. ) getting back to the food ... We had chicken and waffles ... OMG... it was just sheer perfection! The combination of everything on my plate from the maple syrup all the way to the crunchy bread it chicken breast in between the waffles and homemade mashed potatoes! Again, this is just your head and we knew we were coming back… So on our way home to Los Angeles we stopped off and got a Gyro and Philly cheesesteak sandwich to go. A must try the Gyro was out of this world and my husband just learned his cheesesteak ... this vegan restaurant is definitely a beautiful jewel in this beautiful oasis we called Las Vegas ,😉💙

Simply amazing vegan food!!!

By Paul D |

The food here is amazing! 100% vegan although you will find that hard to believe, the menu is massive, and everything is on there. The quality and presentation of the food is excellent. Thanks to staff member Carlos who is a nice guy. It is so good we went twice, both times excellent. Highly recommended! I am amazed by the (thankfully few) ridiculous negative comments made by other reviewers, so I feel I should put these right. You do not get charged for condiments, how ridiculous. Prices are not high, by UK standards anyway. The price for a burger and fries is exactly the same as what you would pay for the same in a UK gastro pub. It is certainly not expensive by US standards. I think it's great value, as the quality is so good. Personally I prefer the 'dark meat' dishes rather than the 'chicken' or 'fish'.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Las Vegas

By Max |

I went there with a couple of friends. The food is really good. Everyone really enjoyed it. Also my non vegan friends. If you visit Las Vegas and want to have good food, you really should consider visiting this place.
