We went to the Morrison because of all the good reviews that we found online, and they were all true. The most amazing thing was the fact that they were running a happy hour on the weekend for my believe 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock, $6 appetizers and $6 drinks. Along with the Cinco de Mayo menu. They tried to see our party of 10 in a back booth with 2 extra chairs. Somebody made the call and realize that that was not the best situation for us and relocated us to a table in the middle the restaurant, with the ease of moving a group of friends, they said we thought a better table for you guys will just move you, this was a great, move and they were well tipped for. Our waitstaff and by staff treated us like friends. I would deftly come back to the Morrison again

It's a different experience when you walk in with a child on your arms as people are very observant of how you bring a kid into a "bar". Well we enjoy of having the attention of guest alike making gestures of joy of seeing our little one. Great service. Very attentive and brought even a balloon for our little ones distraction. It can real loud with games playing and all the chatter at the bar and the folks laughing and enjoying the game. Food doesn't fall short of the place and the desert to top the evening off as the best Bread Pudding in LA! Try it you must.

A very nice place for lunch with good food and excellent beer selections. Nice portions, too. But best of all, the service is great, which makes for a fun time. On this visit our server, Roger, was exceptional. He explained our menu options patiently, served our drinks and then our food promptly. He brought me some mustard that I requested. And my friend some extra sliced tomatoes that she asked. Without us asking brought us boxes and a bag for them at the end of our meal.

Great service, Great burgers, Great Happy Hour. Cool Place, lil dark which is fine.. Lots of sports on TV.

Great for brunch, Lunch or Dinner. Great service. Great place just to hang and enjoy a drink or bite to eat. Was Voted #7 best place to eat a couple years ago. Best bread pudding you will find.

The best thing for me about dining at The Morrison on Los Feliz, is that your dog can join you on the patio! That's right, and there is even a doggy menu, so everyone has a chance to snack! I was there for the Happy Hour (because I'm thrifty!) I selected the Happy Hour sliders and they were very good, and my canine companion was served the "Where's the Beef" from the doggie menu, complete with a fresh bowl of water. While we waited for our food to arrive, we had a chance to talk, and in her case, sniff other patrons who were enjoying the patio, too. Overall, a thumbs up..or should I say... paws up afternoon! Service was excellent, also.

I would return here often! After a visit to the Griffith Observatory we visited The Morrison and had a wonderful lunch. Hostess and waitress were top notch and menu had something for everyone. We are from the south and The Morrison had the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had - and that’s saying something. Bacon jam on a classic burger with a pint for me hit the spot. The Bread Pudding to wrap up things was a home run. If I was local - I’d probably be here all the time.

Friends and I went to eat here before seeing a concert at the Greek. The happy hour food was good, especially the sliders. The only drawback is that don't discount the drinks. Maybe a buck off for happy hour? Anyway, the food is good, a little pricey if not eating specials, but the quality makes it a decent value. The highlight was the amazing bread pudding! Served fresh and hot and oh so good! I would come back just for that, and I probably will! Speaking of the Greek earlier, this gastropub is only half a mile from the Greek shuttle location. So, a great preconcert place. It does have limited parking and it gets very crowded, always a good indication of the place, so if you can get there before five, not so bad.

and we noticed a new restaurant had opened. Well, we were going to do a salad bar somewhere but decided to try the new place. There's a nice parking lot right next to the restaurant, so it is quite convenient. We walk in - and it is dark, quiet, tasteful ... we are offered our choice of tables. We look at the menu - and practically nothing is familiar! We've wandered into a Scottish restaurant - the first of our experience. Neither of us drinks beer but I ordered the Cava (a Spanish "champagne" that I remember fondly from Barcelona). I would have ordered scotch, because I love it, but since I'm supposed to keep away from gluten, and I wanted to order whatever was in the food preparation, I had to forego. For an appetizer Joey tries the cock-a-leeky soup (chicken soup) and I try the soft scotch egg (medium boiled egg wrapped in venison sausage and then breaded, with a smear of horseradish mustard on the side). We both enjoyed our choices, so we looked forward to our entrees (Joey's was hangar steak with chive mash potatoes, mine was essentially fish and chips). I really enjoyed my fries - skinny, crisp, with a malt aioli. The fish was battered cod - the batter was crisp, the cod was melt-in-your-mouth. The only problem with the cod was that there were 3 big pieces and I could only finish two. Since I had mentioned I was trying to keep away from gluten, the wonderful waitress brought us a lovely bowl of fresh blueberries, strawberries and blood oranges with Greek yogurt for dipping for our dessert. A delightful and fresh ending to clear our palates. I look forward to trying other menu items.

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We hadn’t planned on eating there, it was just convenient. We were seated right away and the place was fairly full. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was excellent! It’s definitely a step up from your average pub food. Not to mention they have quite the eclectic selection of beers. The whole experience was a pleasant surprise. A great place for lunch and/or a drink if you’re in area or cruising down I-5. It’s close to Griffith Park too. Cheers!

We brought my friends dog so we sat on the patio outside which is reserved for pets, they even have a doggy menu!! Apparently they're famous for their burgers but we had all just gotten back from the wine country ,and decided to order salads. The salads are enormous ,and more than enough to split ,which of course we didn't do!!! We ordered the brussels sprouts appetizer which I usually shun ,but these were delicious and I re-created them when I got home. They had a happy hour special and I think plan on celebrating memorial day all month ,the inside atmosphere was lively and their bar area is huge!!

The Morrison has a great atmosphere. I have been there many time and they have a wide variety of comfort foods. It is almost as if it is a sports bar mixed with a classic Irish pub. It tends to be very loud there with good food. I recommend going there with a group or a large party and order many appetizers. The price is medium and I believe to be worth it's price. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of parking, but a block away there is plenty of street parking. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a night out with your friends.

Good times at The Morrison! Great bar/bistro setting decorated for Halloween. We had a great time and a great server, Nick. Great guy, very helpful. Arrived around 5pm, happy hour menu has some great food and beverage values, small plates and apps. Reasonably priced. Great variety/selection. Bar is loud but still able to have a conversation. Great Halloween decorations: ghosts on swings, flying witches. On-site free parking (small lot). Great place for a break. Thanks, Nick!

This is a wonderful Irish pub with friendly service, huge selection of single malt whisky. I personally enjoyed happy hour special triple cheese Mac and cheese

What a great find! The burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. Big, juicy onion rings with the perfect coating. Service was very fast. Even though they were very crowded, we received our burgers in only 5 minutes. A bit pricey. The biggest negative was the parking lot. It is very small, and can be difficult to get turned around.

Found this place for dinner near the Greek Theatre and it didn't disappoint! Excellent food and fast service! Happy Hour til 7pm was an unexpected bonus!

Move over Tam O'Shanter! There's a new Scotch-Irish Pub in town and it's right across the street! After another disappointing St. Patrick's Day at the Tam (insisted by my tradition-minded mother), we couldn't help notice the eye-appealing Morrison recently-opened across the street. Billed as a Scottish gastropub, the Morrison is an upscale restaurant , the creation of Charles Lew, the owner of Stout hailing from the Highlands. We stopped in for Sunday Brunch yesterday (partly to avoid the long lines at the over-subscribed restaurants on Hillhurst Avenue). What a liked most about the place is the New York sexy black and chrome interior, which might come off as dark and claustrophobic, were it not for the floor-to-ceiling doors that open onto Los Feliz Boulevard and the open seating arrangement. I opted for the cod and chips, which were lightly battered and flavorful; some of the other offerings including a variety of Scottish eats including scotch egg with venison sausage, salmon offered with treacle blini in a trio of pate, smoked, and cured with Scotch, corned beef, and a ham-laced "rarebit" sandwich. The Morrison, located at 3179 Los Feliz Blvd. Atwater Village; 323-467-7227.

I really liked this place alot. Really well-put-together gastropub-type atmosphere. Clean and modern looking aesthetic. The beer choices are fantastic, and during Happy Hour you great this amazing selection for $5...all the ones on tap at least! That is a super deal considering some of the excellent craft choices. Food is really good as well. Really good! High quality for sure. Unfortunately, the blonde haired waitress we had was very snarly, smug and unfriendly. She also took a very long time to move things along with the meal. Our food took a long time to get to us and by the time it got there it was cool to warm. Fries served at that temperature are not my cup of tea. When we asked her if she minded bringing us some hot fries, she rolled her eyes at us and seemed really put out. We didn't ask to do the same with the burgers, which were the same temp as well. We dealt with it. She was unfriendly when I asked for water even though my glass had been empty for over 30 minutes. I am not going to let her rudeness cloud my interest in returning though. Everyone else was very nice. Just try and avoid her if you are about to be brought to her table/section. Definitely worth your time and money to come to Morrison!

Our first time here. The food is fabulous!! We ordered the Bacon Bourbonator Burger, the Cobb Salad and for dessert we had the bread pudding. Everything was delicious. The drinks, Sweet Caroline and the German beer was also great, thanks to the bartenders. Everyone was happy and friendly from the owner, the hostess, the servers. No wonder the customers were happy! And no doubt to the cooks as well, because the food is top-notch. All kinds of people babies to older ones, like my Great-Aunt. My great-aunt's words: Fantastic! I love the sincerity. The crew had riendly smiles that reached their eyes. A special shout out to our server Kurtis who is AWESOME and on top of his game with EVERYTHING. Also to the chap that assisted me with my Aunt. Thanks Mark and to everyone there. We'll be back😃

There are a lot of reasons why The Morrison is the #7 rated restaurant on Yelp in the U.S. Service is A+. Drinks are delicious - A+. The food is the farthest thing from bar food. I'm in love with the Boulevard Salad, and the tacos are CRAZY good. Best tacos I've had in Los Angeles. The chicken is SO moist and juicy. They're also great about accommodating allergies. The vibe is incredible ... good for people of any age. My 24 year old son has gone with me, and my friends my age love it. The Morrison also has a great brunch menu on the weekends, and happy hour goes from 3p to 7p, every day.

While in Glendale, The Morrison is a place to visit. The restaurant offers ample parking, with additional street parking nearby. When you walk into the restaurant you will find a place accentuated with dark wood, a place where you can spend countless hours with friends enjoying your meal and drinks. The service is standard, nothing to highlight, but the real star at this place is the food. First and foremost, be wary, portions are large. An entree and a shared side is more than enough for a person. We tried multiple burgers and sides during our visit, and all of them were good, just missing something to be extraordinary but nevertheless good. Overall, if you are looking to grab a burger or a drink while in the Glendale area, The Morrison is a great option.

We live down the street, heard rave reviews about their burgers so we finally made the time to get there. VERY disappointed. Everyone of our burgers were way overcooked and salty. Sent them back but not much better when returned. Hard to reconcile how all the reviews were so good but the food was so bad?... and the Tap Beer was WARM! Only ONE item we ordered was good - the Mac n Cheese... Staff was friendly and that not nothing. Especially so close to Glendale where so many in the service industry, and customer service in general, seemed to be just over having in patience for customers.

Found this place by chance while playing tourist. Very quiet lunch hour, bar style, clean, a little dark, but food was good, menu had good variety. Mango cheesecake was phenominal, to die for, I want the recipe!!! Prices good, only complaint was I couldn't vary from the entrée and how it was presented on the menu in the way I needed to because of dietary restrictions. so that was a disappointment. but hey, after the cheesecake, I didn't care :)

Lovely little find! Headed off to a Show at the GREEK and fell upon this Gem of a Gastropub! Reservations are a must on Friday and Saturday! They were very accommodating when we were stuck in traffic. We were able to get in right away! We mentioned we were going to the GREEK and our food came out so fast our head was spinning!! The Happy Hour is a killer deal and perfect for dinner before the performance. We ordered sliders, salad, sweet potato fries, two cocktails and of course the infamous Bread pudding with Whiskey bourbon carmel sauce!! Yes,yes and yes I did! We ate it All!! Two of us where out of there in time for the show and my bill was less than $60 with tip!! TIP of the day: go early for parking ease! The service was exceptional...If you like busy pubs this is a place for you, if you want quiet, I'd suggest a to go bag and find a park bench and enjoy!!!

Not crazy special by any means. A decent selection of beers and if you don't like burgers than don't go here cause that's pretty much it. Good sweet potato fires but ok everything else

Stopped in because of Yelp review. Lunch happy hour at 1:30 pm HUGE portion of yummy fish and chips $15 and a spicy chicken sandwich with a hefty side salad $10. Easy parking is always a plus in LA.

Daniel and I joined Nic, Rebeca , Annett, and Nancy for a great may 5th celebration. The place was busy and decorated beautifully. The ladies all received mini fascinator syle sombreros, the men faux moustaches and beads. The staff were in full swing and kept us supplied with great drink specials , and the brunch style menu was excellent. Kudos to Mark the owner and Brian for making it a day to remember , I am still savouring the bread pudding thanks Brian see you soon Gerry

We live in Georgia and stopped here for lunch while we were on vacation. My husband and son both got burgers and said they were amazing. I got the chicken aioli sandwich and onion rings. The chicken had the best seasoning I've ever tasted. I don't want to eat another chicken sandwich unless its from here! Also, the onion rings were huge and so crispy! The service was great and the food was fantastic. I love this place! I wish there was one in GA...hint hint ;)

Great happy hour menu for drinks and food. Mac n cheese was great, onion rings impressive, and sliders were delish....they're on the smaller side, even for sliders, and ooooh, there's only two 😞! Morrison mules were really good, and a wide beer selection. Bartenders were attentive and fast. Can't wait to go there again before an event at the Greek!

Excellent service and super fun atmosphere. The food came quickly and everything was delicious. The best part to the night hands down was the bread pudding, best I've ever had, seriously AMAZING!!!!!!! I've been craving it every night since i was there :)

Handsome companion 😍 Great food the burgués and the desserts Probamos la Morrison burguér y la bacon

This is the second time we have eaten at The Morrison. It is in a neighborhood where there are other dining establishments that we also like -- for different reasons. It is a true pub, very British in it's decor but with a menu that is not something you would generally see in England. They have an array of burgers that are favorites with my husband but I like the Shroomer. It is a grilled generous Portabello mushroom with fig jam, onion, and blue cheese on a wonderful soft bun. With sweet potato fries it is more than I can eat. The chicken wings are a great way to start the meal. The menu items suggest the best beer to enjoy with your meal but they also have excellent mixed drinks that are a favorite with other members of our group (who seem to know what a good mixed drink is like).

Fantastic happy hour 7 days a week 4-7pm. The Nacho serving is gigantic, easily serving two (but my wife at em all, which is a very rare thing) . Sadly, the generous portion made (delicious) potatoe skins look tiny. Then: you must try the sliders - possibly the best I ever had (and I had a lot).

If you are going to Griffith Park this is a great place to refuel, only a couple of miles from the park. It has an amazing happy hour, excellent food, and the staff was amazing! The prices are more than fare. If you are looking for fancy, pass on by, however, if you are looking for a great LA neighborhood experience at a fun place, go on in!

Group of 6.....everyone loved their burger. Best onion rings ever. Bread pudding to die for. We will definitely be back.

Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, is good there - only the parking lot is small and crammed. They have a pretty good beer selection on tap. Good whiskey selection. Their burgers a fabulous and their staff is professional, pleasant and knowledgable. But the BEST is the Bread Pudding! If you don't order anything else, you MUST have the pudding.

Went for lunch with associates on Friday. Had no problem getting a table. Everyone was extremely happy with their food choices. BUT, although the main course was very good, the Bread Pudding is out of this world good. It is cooked in portion sizes (2 - 3 diners can eat from one portion) so everyone gets the crispy outside bites. It has a wonderful butterscotch flavor and then is served with an even tastier sauce on the side. This is not soggy like so many bread puddings. You must try The Morrison and save room for dessert.

I came here on a Saturday for brunch with some friends. We had a couple dogs so opted for the patio. I had the vegetable frittata which was pretty good. It comes with creme fraiche which adds some extra flavor but I preferred some extra spice so I added hot sauce to it and it was perfect. It came with a side salad which was also very fresh and perfectly dressed. All in all, had a good time here.

An authentic scottish tavern with great service beautifully presented dishes from venison wrapped scotch eggs, cockie leekie soup, scotch salmon, outstanding meat pie , flat steak perfectly seasoned ,beet salad to name a few . We had 25 in our party from age 12 to 81, so had a chance to sample almost the whole menu, down to the outstanding bread pudding. We were delighted with everything and the manager Brian and his staff out did themselves. We will be back and will ride our horses over from Burbank tie up and enjoy many a lunch in our new found treasure The Morrison

We knew the food was going to be good at the #7 restaurant/gastro-pub in the US of A. We were still not ready to receive the kind service that delivered these edibles to us. We felt like we were eating at Alex's dining room table and he was a host competing for the prize of best tailgating party for the big game. Known for their burgers which were divine, the simple side of grilled chicken we received with my daughter's nachos was exceptional. Most chickens are a forgettable source of protein tolerated for their low costs, yet this filet elevated the bird to Eagle Scout or California Condor status instantly. If I am ever in this neighborhood again, hungry or not, I will be visiting The Morrison and our new amigo Alex. Guaranteed to serve up a good time...ENJOY!!

This place has a down to earth, neighborhood vibe that one can truly appreciate here in LA. The minute you walked in you got a warm, comforting vibe. The service was great and the crowd low key, but not divy. The manager was super sweet and wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and sent over some desserts. The bread pudding is yummy and quite an orgasmic spectacle, though too sweet for my taste. The burger was better than average, with a glistening bun, though I'd love it to have more beef flavor-something hard to do with lean grass fed meat. I'll definitely be back for the good vibe experience and a burger I probably can count on to be consistent.

We were driving by after hours of hiking in Griffith Park, and were of course starving. We saw a sign for burgers, beer, and they have a parking lot. Done! Awesome happy hour specials, friendly servers, and the food is fantastic!! Wish I lived in town so I could go back again and again.

The atmosphere, staff, drinks and food here are absolutely awesome! Get the filet burger with the bread pudding, and your life will be complete. Totally an amazing find!

Of course the owner is not on the menu. You don't order a burger and a side of owner - which makes Marc, the owner very special. He takes time to make sure the food, the service and the diners' experiences are first rate. We sent back the tangerine sorbet. We'd had two delicious burgers, a mound of sweet potato fries and huge onion rings. The sorbet seemed to take forever and no one seemed to bothered about it - so we sent it back. Not good enough for owner Marc who wanted to know why ... to improve customer service. He could have let it slide; we were sorry we ever heard of tangerine sorbet... But in the end, we understood Marc's insistence on high standards and appreciated how far he would go to improve a customer's dining experience. We'd been there before and definitely will be back. Nicely done.

First visit to Morrison, picked because of all the great reviews and it lived up to them all. Burgers, onion rings, and bread pudding all amazing! Also love all the choices of beers.

Found this place o yelp and chose to eat a late dinner after a long day a Universal Studios. The place is family friendly and has large portions. Our waiter was the best!

Very underwhelming experience and some of the worst value I've ever had at a restaurant. Had the burger they call "The One" and the menu says: “THE ONE” BURGER $25 AMERICAN KOBE beef patty, shallots, aioli, truffle oil, truffle peelings, butter lettuce, port salut cheese, grilled mushrooms, side of fries. The burger I received was extremely flavorless. I did not find any truffle peelings or even any truffle flavor. The worst $25 dollars I have ever spent in a restaurant. Also had a $9 beer that was served in a small glass, and turned out to be overly sweet. I mentioned this to the server who didn't seem to care. For one burger and one beer I got a bill for $40. Ugh. I don't understand the hype here on yelp.

Great service and delicious food. Limited to burgers during the day but they are the most unique and delicious combinations. Excellent taste and huge selection of beers. The bread pudding is AMAZING!

My favorite is the bread pudding with the Jammeson ice cream Very friendly staff and service! Get your balloon for your birthday visit!

Friends and I stopped by after visiting the observatory and man am I glad we did. We stumbled upon their happy hour which was awesome. Ordered around the table - mac and cheese, sliders, wedge salad, prime rib burger, buffalo wings - everything was great with the exception of the wedge salad which was only ok and the buffalo wings were were AMAZING - and I'm a total wing connoisseur / snob - these were perfect. perfect heat, perfect texture / crisp. AWESOME wings. Beers and margaritas were all good and great price at happy hour. The atmosphere - quirky, but fun. Sports bar meets insane valentines decor while we were there. The service - probably the worst note of our visit. We had to flag our waitress down pretty abruptly for drinks a few times and to get our bill but I'm going to try to excuse it on the fact that we were there at an odd time (around 3pm) and she seemed swamped. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

This place is overall an enjoyable restaurant with atmosphere and good food. I'd been here once before and noted that they didn't seem to have any Pale Ales, only India Pale Ales (much more alcoholly). I think that's an oversight, as I do like hoppy beers, just not always the ones on steroids. Nevertheless, the wife and I stopped in for a quick bite to share before going to an event, and we didn't even look at the menu, we just went on the the the restaurant's bragging rights of being chosen "best burger" or something, so we said, "bring us your winning burger and a flight of IPA's." The burger turned out to be quite tasty, the accompanying fries were an nice crispy texture, but I'm guessing they were double fried to get that (which means double the calories). Anyway, we split the burger, shared the fries, tasted the little pours of various tapped beers and asked for the check. This was financially an eye-opener, as the burger alone was 25 bucks! When we asked for their burger, we didn't know they had half a dozen that were at least $10 cheaper, we were just served the most expensive one. I'm glad they didn't have one dipped in gold! The server should have apprised us. But then the check also had an additional up-charge, some sort of extra fee to pay the employees more. I had heard of these, like in Canada, but first time I had ever encountered this. I asked about it and was told that the menu mentioned it. I didn't look at the menu, I just ordered straight from the server. So this was weird. I already paid more for this burger than I normally would for a steak, and yet they aren't making enough money to pay their employees??? I don't like this at all. While I wouldn't wish to slight a server their tip amount, I am inclined to do so since they or the busboy gets this additional money just added on to my bill. I actually had a conversation with one of the owners who told me on another occasion that there wasn't much profit in the restaurant business, yet he was rich and owned several. I am not rich, and I need to watch my money. This was just a big surprise. Anyway, I understand there is a debate going on about these weird charges, so I'll leave the opinions regarding them to you. And I don't think I'll ever just say, "bring me" without first asking "how much."

Opened Dec 12- our first visit 8/4/13: they want to please !! and did so with excellent Happy Hamburgers: cook em like we like em. Very attentive staff

Before we even had a chance to order, some young punk kid worker told me to move my car. I have no problem moving my car if I parked in a spot where I wasn’t supposed to. He didn’t ask nicely - the opposite - told me “there’s cones bro” and “you’re causing all this commotion”. There’s a nice way to ask, but this kid was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I took my family and left immediately. When I told the waiter what happened, he said, “I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t stay here either.” Super disappointed with our first and last experience here. Such a disappointment- especially after driving for hours on the freeway to visit. I called later to talk to a manager, and the teenager receptionist handed the phone to this rude kid who continued to belittle himself with his rude behavior… clowns are running the show at this place. Go somewhere else where they will treat their customers with respect and dignity.

We went for lunch on a Wednesday during the holidays and were very happy with our experience. For their Whiskey Wednesday special this Scottish style pub was serving a wonderful Irish whiskey for 1/3 of the normal price. Of course we had to try it and were happy that we did. Three of us shared several dishes. The Bacon Bourbonater Burger, truly medium rare, was one of the best burgers I've tasted anywhere, with bacon, blue cheese and bacon onion jam. Fish and chips, Ditto. We also had the fried brussels, which had a perfect, well seasoned char and hazelnuts to top it off. After we stuffed ourselves like sausages, the man in charge offered us a chance to try their chef's award winning Butterscotch Bread Pudding. How could we refuse? You need to be sitting down to eat this delight because it is so delicious that the first bite makes you weak in the knees. Thank you! We will continue to go back until we've tried everything on the menu.

Fairly new sports/bar/restaurant that has a great selection of beers, wines, and drinks, along with excellent food. Monday night is fried chicken night, i don't ordinarily like to eat "fried" anything but made an exception for this and glad I did. It was great tasting fried chicken, not too greasy and just the right amount of delicious crusty coating. We usually get the burgers as they are huge and good, but glad we did the Monday night special. Always great food and the absolutely best bread pudding to be found anywhere. My wife loves bread pudding, I hate it but she made me try her order and we get it every time we go. I love it now - just THIS bread pudding, not other bread pudding. You will truly enjoy your experience at this place.

Good place for beer and burgers. Not a beer drinker so I settled for burger. Not bad, a little expensive for my taste but worth it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Can be crowded during a Friday.

We cane here for my husband birthday. Very nice staff and manager. Attentive and drinks are generous. Came here for the bread pudding amazing!! Travels from Valencia worth the drive.

I went here for brunch with a large group of family and friends, and everyone had a great time. The burgers are enormous and the servers are cool. We had to wait a very long time for our entrees, but the server was apologetic and at least the drinks were flowing. We were treated to the most delicious ice cream bars I've ever had: animal cracker, apple pie, and cookies and cream. A sweet end to a really fun experience. Thanks Morrison!

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time and cautiously had small expectations seeing that it is mostly a bar. We were surprised to find nice large booths and great food especially the butterscotch whiskey ice cream bread pudding! Large selection of beers and friendly service. Can reserve on Open Table

What can I sat about this place that hasn't been said. They have great drinks from a variety of beers to interesting cocktails. The atmosphere and ambience is pretty good with a mixture of different people. The service is excellent and the servers are always friendly. This place serves pretty good burgers but the crowning achievement of the Morrison is the bread pudding which is hands down the best bread pudding I have ever tasted in my life especially when topped with the vanilla ice cream and bourbon sauce.

This is a cool place with a cool vibe. Happy Hour is a good deal for drinks and apps... Regular prices are a little steep (especially the apps- very small for $$$) Great service! I tried their signature morrison gimlet ( i love gin! ) and it was really strong on the cucumber.. I probably wont order one again. But if you LOVE gin and LOVE cucumber, go for it!

We went to see a concert at a Greek and went here to eat. The food was great especially the onion rings. The menu is a little pricey but the quality makes it worth it! The bread pudding was great and the ambiance is great. I will be back here.

We had company lunch there today, everyone in our party agreed that the place is awesome, with nice menu selection, their burgers are big hit, and the bread pudding is a must to seal the deal.

I have passed this restaurant many times and seen the Yelp sign that said it was one of the best 100 places to eat in the US. So we had to try it. It was very good. The burgers are a half pound, cooked just as you ask them to be and served on a brioche bun. We also had what they called a Gourmet NY Pretzel as an appetizer ad could have stopped there it was huge. The pretzel come with three different dipping sauces ... mustard, ranch and a caramel sauce (which is much better than it sounds). As I pointed out I had a Guinness, but there is a large selection of beers and a very large selection of whiskies and scotch. These range in price from a Teeling Limited for $8 - up to $350 for Pappy Van Winkle 23. I must go back for the whisky, but sorry not for the Pappy. If you can, save room for a good selection of desserts. My wife and daughter both really enjoyed the bread pudding. There is also a dog friendly patio.

We don’t live in LA but have somehow managed to make it the Morrison several times the last three months and every visit has been top notch. We had a birthday dinner with a group of 13 people two days before Christmas and the staff did an amazing job accommodating our group. We’ve also eaten on the patio on a relatively cool evening and it was perfectly warm with the heat lamps. Be advised though, that the patio is skinny and doesn’t really work for more than just two people at a table. At least not very comfortably. Speaking of small, the parking lot is ridiculously tiny. Be prepared to find street parking and walk. But it’s not that difficult. The food is delicious! Our big group ordered one each of all the apps and shared them family style. By the time my food arrived I was stuffed! The wait staff has been terrific each visit, no complaints at all. If I lived anywhere near Morrison, I would go to happy hour at least once a week. Enjoy.

Great happy hour, wings are great, drinks are fun, love the mac and cheese and truffle fries, love the service. Really nice and fun people work here!!

I'm a big gastropub fan, and this place is great! I've been here a few times before for drinks and burgers and I've always enjoyed it. So, I decided to take friends here for my birthday this year. The Morrison staff was really outstanding! I arrived without a reservation, with 14 friends. Still, the staff immediately arranged tables for us. They were very attentive with food and drink orders. The manager provided three FREE orders of their fantastic butterscotch bread pudding and a Happy Birthday balloon. I could not have been happier. And honestly, it was the best bread pudding I've ever had. I've never seen a gastropub work so hard to provide customer satisfaction. My tip didn't seem nearly enough to show my appreciation. I highly recommend stopping by this place!

We stopped by this new neighborhood restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the decor, food and service. Booths were roomy, bar was gorgeous with lots of unusual beer and cocktail selections, and, though crowded, we were easily able to converse without shouting. Our food was delicious with very light, not greasy, cod and chips, and a brisket-filled meat pie. The staff was friendly, available and knowledgable. We will be back.

Not a good value. Not even a fair value. And, not well executed. Stopped by Saturday night for a drink and snack. Ordered as a beverage "Blood From A Stone". Supposed to be Irish Whiskey (undetectable), chocolate bitters (also undetectable), and fresh blood orange juice. What I got had the flavor of HiC, overly sweet. Also ordered "hand cut twice fries". Assumed by the name that "twice fries" meant twice fried, e.g. crispy. No. Sorry, but you get better done fries at McDonalds. P.S. Despite the fact that the fries needed to be... fried, they still made it to our table before the drinks.

In a previous life, this place was a sushi restaurant - and after a disastrous change of ownership it became a horrible sushi restaurant. When the doors closed, we anticipated another less than impressive place taking over, but surprise! We were proved wrong. The Morrison is a great casual gathering spot with a decent selection of beer, wine and cocktails. The food menu is quite meat heavy but there is an occasional green vegetable thrown in and the wait staff will accommodate customization without a grimace on their face. On a busy night the noise doesn't make it the place to have a quiet dinner - don't let that turn you off. Pay a visit - I'm certain it won't be your last.

This was a very nice place to grab a cold beer and good food after a long day. They have a broad food and drink menu. The ambiance in the restaurant is quite cool. We were traveling from out of town and found this place and we are glad we did.

Some say this is the best burger in the Silver Lakes area. For me, it's a strong contender but not quite the best. Though you will not at all regret ordering one! The selling point is the good burgers with great fries (get the ones with cheese) and great happy hour specials. A good Moscow Mule for example, for just five bucks.

Mmmmmm. When your burger comes with an eye fillet steak inside of it you know you are onto a winner. Service was excellent and he even let me sample a heap of beers to decide what I wanted.

Morrison it's an awesome place to hand out with friends or other couples. Great ambient, amazing beer selection and the burgers and pretzels are exquisite. My favorite is the burger with fillet mignon on top - never disappointed. Almost forgot, the service it's excellent, always on top of things.

Was just googling for a great place for beer and food and found this place. We went at happy hour time so our food and drinks were really cheap. Food was amazing and drinks too. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Great atmosphere and the food was awesome. A nicely done faux English Pub/modern type interior and great Christmas decorations whilst we were there last week. We three had the Morrison house burger, the Kale salad (huge serving!) and a regular burger. Rudy our server was a nice young guy (music producer in the making- all the best Mate) and Mark the co-owner gave us a massive tasting plate of their house ice creams. We also ordered the Bread Pudding (we Aussies/Brits call it Bread and Butter Pudding). Go just for that. It was unreal. Very reasonably priced night. Mix of families, couples and singles at the bar. NFL was showing on the screens but only added to the fun atmosphere. Atwater Village is not super convenient for those without a car but you should consider staying at Silverlake/Los Feliz which are cooler areas and fairly close to Atwater Village. I hope this was useful.

This is a Yelp Top 10 restaurant located in a great spot in upcoming Atwater Village. It's easy to spot off the street and has their own parking including additional space on the street. The bar design is pretty expected with some nice booths and a lot of dark wood and leather. What sets this place apart is the superb food and service. We shared the fish and chips which were spot on. Her been and my cocktail were an excellent accompaniment. Best of all, the manager wandered over and offered a free bread pudding for desert that he said was rated as the best in the city. Let me tell you, he wasn't lying. Best I've ever had. Came with this flavored whiskey that I could drink all night. Will definitely return.

Eating at the Morrison was on our list because one of the young ladies with us has the same last name, which got her attention from the owner and us a free plate of warm chocolate chip cookies! We were there for happy hour. Some selections were great, others not so much. The three "loaded" potato skins were disappointing. They should be taken off the menu. Hubby said the 2 sliders were good, and an order of mac and cheese allowed all 4 of us to have a good size serving. The best thing ordered were the nachos! Comes in a big bowl and allows people to scoop conveniently. Seemed like every table had ordered one! Bread pudding is a must -- delish!! The chocolate cake with ice cream is a real chocoholic's dream! We passed the desserts around and everyone was happy! Tip: try to park on the side street. Parking lot is a nightmare. It comes to a dead end and you have to back up and out while other cars are waiting.

We arrived just after 5 and were seated immediately. As time passed it became quite crowded with the happy hour crowd. A bit loud, but it's a pub! I ordered from the main menu; Lani ordered from the happy hour menu. We were both very happy with our meals. I had the special Filet burger and Morrison fries. The burger had fabulous flavor - a burger patty with a thin Filet on top, all on an English muffin. Lani had the sliders and Mac'n cheese - she was quite pleased. Lani agreed to share dessert, so we dove into their famous butterscotch bread pudding ala mode. Yummy!!!

A fun gastropub in Atwater Basin with lots of burger options. French fries that taste like bbq potatoes chips. The onion rings are outrageously huge and delicious. The deserts are decadent. Lots of people hanging out drinking beer and enjoying a variety of sporting events in big screen TV’s. It can get loud, but in a fun sorta way versus bad acoustics that give you a headache. The Morrison’s claim to fame being the #7 highest ranked Restraunt on YELP seems a bit over-rated it says something sad about YELP. Anyway - definitely a fun place to grab a burger and a beer!

This pub food is amazing. Fish and chips were HUGE and tasted great, served with tartare and malt vinegar for the real British taste. The bread and butter pudding is a must and we couldn't contain ourselves so the photo is the after photo :-)

butterscotch bread pudding is amazing! Very friendly service...enjoyed the coffee and large birthday balloon which was a surprise! Easy parking and by the way, the burgers are awesome

I know I was supposed to order the bread pudding, heaping fries, brew and meat, but I just did a hike and I wanted something "healthy." I am a big veggie burger critic, and I am giving this one 5 stars. It's so good. If someone says this place is expensive, ignore it. You come here for quality. Service was on the slow----er side, but that's ok. They were busy. Definitely going to be back and try the rest of this goodness. Parking here is no fun.

I took my wife, daughter and her boyfriend to Morrison for drinks before dinner. Super beer choice and good strong craft drinks. Had nachos. Mark stopped by and insisted we try their bread pudding. We shared it btwn 4 of us. Wow. We didn't watch any baseball, but multiple TVs are around the bar. They have a small parking lot. I'd recommend Morrison.

We recently went to the morrison on two seperate occassions, a week apart. Yes, it is good enough to go back again within a week. The menu is fairly simple with a variety of burgers, a chicken sandwich, fish&chips, and a couple of vegetarian options. They have a large beer and whiskey list, a few less choices for cocktails. The Morrison Mule was the best of the three we sampled. The sides are large and ordered seperately. The french fries were tasty, but the onion rings were divine! I had the bacon burger the first time and the chicken sandwich the second time. Both were great. The bread pudding really is something to enjoy and savor. Highly reccommend it.

This is a Scottish Pub that serves upscale Burgers along with Pub style eats. They also have a wide selection of Beer & Whiskey

Some friends and I stopped in for lunch and had a good meal. The burgers were cooked well and were creative. Quite tasty. This is a bar and burger joint for sure as the menu is limited. Only one or two sandwiches besides burgers, a couple salads and some sides and appetizers. The problem is that for $17 average burger price that’s all you get. I get it that you are in LA, but really no sides for that much! You could get fries for another $5. So $21 in without drinks. Not to mention some burgers were as much as $25. On top of that the service was not the best and we were left waiting for drinks a couple times. In summary good burgers but they are pricey and ok service, I’ve had better for less. I wouldn’t discourage folks from trying it themselves but I will likely try out other burger joints before returning. Not overly impressed.

Came here for an early dinner before attending the Los Angeles Zoo Holiday lights event at the Griffith Park Zoo. My daughter just looked for some place close to the zoo. Well, this was a great find! The parking is difficult, but we did eventually get parked. The servers were all wonderful, helpful, and full of holiday cheer. Always a great start to a meal. We ordered beer and wine with help from our server and everybody was happy with their choice. We ordered some things from the Happy Hour menu and a couple of burgers and a chicken sandwich from the regular menu. Everything was wonderfully prepared and delicious. Love the fries as they were very crispy. We also ordered the Churros and ice cream dessert to share with the table and that was very good. Definitely will be looking for an excuse to be in that neighborhood again!

Wow. A friend took me to the Morrison for lunch & I was blown away. Quiet, clean, great ambiance. Lunch specials include a burger & beer for the same price as you'd normally get just a burger. And the burgers? Top notch. Really, really good. The booths are spacious, clean, & private - great for having a conversation you don't want everyone in the world to hear. If you're in the area, go to the Morrison. I will be back.

This place is great. Friendly servers, great bartenders from beer to THE BEST ICE TEA, delicious food at very reasonable price. Best of all THE BEST ONION RINGS!!

Great food and great drinks. Happy hour goes to 7. I especially recommend the nachos. Bread pudding is great, but my group really liked the rocky road brownie even more. The atmosphere was lively and fun, service was outstanding and the owner was a really nice guy.

This location has had @ least 5 restaurants since 1973--all but original breakfast/lunch restaurant failed. Ate here w/amiga about a week ago. Stylish, trendy w/moderate dress--ideal for Atwater/Los Feliz crowd. Hostess was quick funny & not hovering. Server Jessie was VERY good. Knew menu & bar cold. Knew what to recommend. He is a keeper. Appetizer-salmon trio, miniscule & moderately good---meh Had meat pie-crust great filling great Amiga salmon also great-----GOOD Bread pudding-cannot leave without it--VERY GOOD Prices reasonable-------no brainer a gotta go again

Found this place while searching for something to eat in the place that I was staying. The restaurant was decorated super fun for Halloween. We were immediately seated but it took a while to get our drinks and order food (our waiter changed without notice.) The food came fast and hot. I wish my turkey burger had more meat than bread, but it was seasoned nicely. For most burgers on the menu, they don't come with fries. Which means you're paying an additional 8+ dollars for sides. This place is a little pricey for a alehouse.

So we did some research on open table and found The Morrison. We decided to head over for dinner. Our server Paul was super friendly and made great suggestions for most of our meal. Must say the special of the day, Rack of ribs is a MUST TRY and bring a hearty appetite as it's definitely more than enough for 2 people. The bread pudding was just as good the next day if you can't finish after the large dinner

The decor and ambiance is casual, warm, and friendly and the service was great. The food, which for us included the Bacon Bourbonator, classic sliders, nachos, and bread pudding dessert, were all well made and delicious.

OK, most places are going to be noisy during happy hour. It was a full crowd and so noisy you could hardly hear across the table. I only point this out as a warning to those who want to carry on a conversation. However, my main concern was how our food arrived. Two of our party of four received their meals in a very timely manner. It took a little longer for the 3rd meal, and way too long for the 4th meal. Whatever happened to receiving all meals at a table at the same time? It wasn't even close. Our server did an excellent job of communicating with us, but you can only apologize so many times before it's meaningless, and there was no break in price for my friend's late meal. Good food, fun place. Don't go if you want to talk, and I'm sure, by the other reviews, our meals arriving at different times was unusual. But I can't give them full marks this visit. I would try it one more time.

I have been to this place several times. They have a GREAT happy hour. Very good deals on apps and beers. You can sit with your dog on the patio and they will bring treats and water. They even have a doggie menu. Michael is an amazing server. I always have a wonderful experience here.

A burger is $14 and fries are $6. Add a drink & you're heading for $30. The food was average and not worth that price. I'd rather go to a mom & pop burger joint & get the same thing for a lot less.

I've passed this place for years and have recently been reading very positive things about it so I stopped by on Valentine's day for lunch. I had a delicious burger and my companion had the fish and chips. Both were very good and the fish and chips was a very large portion. It's a little pricey, the burger was $15 and didn't come with fries. Instead it came with some very tasty pickled cucumber slices and pickled red onions. That's a nice touch but we all expect fries and at that point a burger and fries is $21. That may be how the world is turning but it does seem like a premium price, although the burger would have been considered premium. Anyway, a very comfortable place with very friendly service.

We were visiting SoCal and met up with some friends at this pub. We chose it because it had good reviews. Well, those reviews were spot on! The Bacon Bourbonator burger was incredible! The drink list for craft beers and whiskey/Scotch was amazing! The atmosphere was fun, a bit loud, but fun. If you are watching the game, you won't miss any of it if nature calls (there are speakers in the bathroom). Parking is limited so you might have to park down the street.
Great Atmosphere
My son has been telling me about this restaurant for years. On our recent visit from Georgia, my grandson and I visited. The hamburger was outstanding as weir as the fries. He is 4, and had the chicken strips, also very good. The atmosphere is right up my alley. Dark wood, the layout is well done and the staff are very friendly. I look forward to trying other selections on the menu in future visits. They all looked delicious as I observed the servers carrying trays of food to other tables. We had a late lunch, no crowds, no wait. Had a good time!
