Great place to go before going to piedmont park! This place has reasonable prices and great service!

My family and I visited The Nook during Memorial Day weekend. There was a Jazz Festival all weekend. We were able to get into the restaurant extremely quickly due to the on-point and well-orchestrated parking of the Valet attendant. The Black Bean Sliders and Oyster Rockafella were excellent, the salmon and chicken wing dings were good, and the shrimp and grits was okay. The outside coverered area was a great spot to eat. Kudos to the Valet attendant for working his magic for us during an extremely busy time!

The Nook undersells itself by claiming that it serves 'bar food" or "tavern food". Certainly, there are such items on the menu, and their popularity may well be the reason for the commercial success of the Nook. However, they are many other offerings which go beyond traditional bar food that all the loud sports teams, who have made the Nook their local, crave. Their burgers and salads are innovative and tasty. This is not fine dining, but it is not forgettable bar food, either. Their drink menu is also very interesting: Skip the so-called fishbowls of alcohol and concentrate on the craft beers, and you won't be disappointed. Whenever I order food here, and it is often, I think that someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Whenever I see the drinks list, I know it has been put together by someone who loves beer. Aren't there minuses? Yes, two big ones: Their parking is very limited so you might not be able to park easily. Walking is recommended. And if you happen to be there when the sports teams stop by, all excited and boisterous, the noise level inside becomes unbearable. Head outside, I'd say, except that if you are unlucky, that may be awfully loud also. Lunch is usually a quiet and pleasant affair, especially in the spring and fall months, when the patio comes into its own.

Slow, slow, slow, left without eating after waiting for 30 minutes for a stinking hot dog. Drink my beer drink a Coke and paid with cash and left. Would not recommend. This is the only place I've ever done a critique on when I listed as terrible. You've been warned

If you are looking for something with a twist, then this is your place. A speciality tater tot menu that will make any tater tot lover jealous! Restaurant is in a nice location with a pretty park. It was too cool for us to sit outside, but would definitely try that next time. Inside was a little dark and would have preferred the outside sun - plus it's near a park which is nice. Service was good and our food was interesting and tasty. A unique section!

Jen Free was are bar person who did a magnificent job. The Mac Daddy Totacho were great. Music was good for the environment. Will be back.

We stopped here for a Sunday dinner waiting for the Light in the Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I had the Sparty burger which is relatively new to the menu. It was excellent! The Brussel sprouts were very good. My wife had the Caprese salad which was very good. This restaurant lives up to its billing.

We went mid-afternoon this past Saturday and were very pleased with the staff being fully masked, cleaning the tables between patrons, removing and cleaning condiments, using little packets of salt and pepper rather than shakers, etc. There were a couple people who insisted on standing in the middle of the outdoor restaurant area, and one of the staff made them move to a table as they weren't following the distancing protocols. We didn't have a lot to eat - the nacho tachos were fantastic, and the beer and wine selection was good. Service was steller. Bonus was having volume on the MSU Spartan football game. Go Green!

Went here after a nice walk around piedmont park. Great shaded outside seating. The food was amazing, and they had GREAT drinks! I will be coming here again when I am back in the area.

Visiting family that lives in Ansley Park and I was walking to Piedmont Park and stumbled on the Nook. My friend and I decided to stop in for brunch and we were not disappointed. Started with mimosas and tater tots then we both got different breakfast dishes. Loved the tater tots! I loved how many restaurants in Atlanta had tater tots on their menus! I am from Florida and we do not have that! I will definitely be back next time I am in town. Just told a friend who recently moved to Atlanta to go by and grab a bite to eat. The casual atmosphere was great. I enjoyed sitting out on the patio and the manager's pimp costume. I went back to the restaurant group I work for and told my general manager he needs to step up his clothing game.

Underwhelmed... great college, young crowd. Ordered chicken and waffles... got soft waffles, over cooked cold chicken with super nice waiters and broken heater outside. Not impressed... might have been a bad day to visit... will try again. However... I will wait till next month.. great location across from park. Food health rating posted 85B... no bueno...

Located right across the street from the 14th street Piedmont Park entrance. Stopped in after a walk to try their famous Bloody Mary and it was very impressive! Although I didn't order any food off the menu (had bacon, steak and a hard boiled egg on my bloody) it all look very interesting and different than most pub fare. Everything coming out around me looked good and everyone seemed happy. I sat outside, it was a warm day, but the little shade and fan kept me comfortable. Service was great. Would go back for sure!

I don't even know where to start the food wasn't good came out cold and our server was not attentive. I would honestly think twice about coming here. I hope if you do you have a better experience

Located across Piedmont Park, one of the managers of a rental property I was looking at suggested I have lunch here while deciding on my new home. I had to go home right away, but came back the following week while moving some things into my new apartment. I decided to have dinner and a beer. MJ, the bartender was friendly and attentive - probably the best part of the place next to the amazing gluttonous food like the loaded totchos (tater tots loaded with nacho toppings) and the macaroni and cheese stuffed burger. I have yet to try their fishbowl size cocktails! Be prepared for long service if the restaurant gets full.

Went for Sunday brunch. Got there apprx 2:35 (brunch is over at 3). Took awhile for our waitress came over to our table. We were ready to order our drinks & food right away since we waited already a bit. We order a appetizer & mimosa. We got both in a reasonable amount of time. But than we waited & waited. Finally after we had been there now a hour, some other very nice waitress asked us if we wanted to order more or anything. We were like yea, we ordered brunch & are still waiting on that. The very nice waitress pointed out the manager. When manager walked by we stopped. Told her we have been here a hour & still waiting on our brunch food. The manager was rude and said brunch is over. We said we ordered before brunch ended and have been waiting! Than our waitress finally came over. Tried to say brunch is their busiest time (half the restaurant had cleared out by this point & most the tables on the porch had been there way before us) so that's why it's taken your food so long. And it will be out in a bit. We are just done with this place by that point. Asked for our tab. When the waitress brought our tab, she was like I only charged you for our drinks & appetizer. I was like yes that's all you should since we never got our meal & we don't feel like waiting around any longer!! So I can't really say how the food is there since we really didn't eat there & our experience was terrible. Our waitress & the manager never apologized. I won't ever go back! The hostesses & other waitress were very friendly though.

service was wonderful, staff great. Food was expensive for what it was. Kids didn't like it, but its wasn't really "kid" food. One kid did like her burger but it was 15$ burger. Black bean burger from the long time vegetarian was a little mushy, would have preferred more firm but thats just me. Learning experience was not to park in garage around the corner, three hours (went to park after) was 21$.

Came here for brunch, fell in love with the Bloody Marys and stayed most of the afternoon. Great atmosphere and service too. The Cajun Shrimp and sausage Tatchos were amazing. Spicy chicken and waffles were perfection. You have to try this when you're in the ATL.

Had the stuffed biscuits, and was not too impressed... was difficult to try and remember what was in the biscuits, as was not obvious when looking at it. I regret not going for the Totchos perhaps..

In town for business and myself and my colleagues strolled to this place. It was nothing special, but it had a great outdoor patio that attracted dates, park goers and people like us. The fish bowl drink looked incredibly dangerous if I weren't there for business. The burgers were good; tots were standard and the setting very nice. I would recommend trying it if you're in the area. The area adds to the appeal.

Ok, it's a pub that serves food but still a fun place to hang out with friends after spending some time in Atlanta. The place is directly across from Piedmont Park. Nice outdoor seating -- inside is very dated. Most of us had burgers or salads. Simple but good. Tator tots were nothing special but something many people go there for. Good food but in no rush to go back

Saw nephew's new apartment (Vireo - fabulous!) and walked down the street to have a late lunch. Ample sandwiches, tater tots (they are called something else), generous drinks. Ate outside as it was a nice afternoon in ATL. Recommend you go if you are in the Piedmont Park area.

This place has a great outdoor patio area and a decent drink menu. The place was really loud (trivia night) and the service was very slow. It took forever to get our food and it was just ok. Many better options in Midtown. Thought this was gonna be a fun place for some comfort food, but we honestly waited so long for our food and then the check to come, over 2 hours spent there. Wouldn't rush to come back here.

Travis gave the best service. He was five star! The food was just typical bar food nothing extra. We were seated on the patio and it looked very unkept.

Not the best place for family dining. We were in town for one night here in Atlanta. We wanted good food and looked it up. My husband came across The Nook, we were excited because of the high reviews. When we arrived it looked busy. We had to wait for 40 min which is not too bad because of how busy the restaurant seemed to be, even though we could visibly see tables open. As we waited in front of the side entrance ( it’s a side entrance ...pretty much an ally way and extremely gross) one of the employee had to throw hot soapy water to clean out the area because it was filled with vomit and urine. Hindsight we should have left but we didn’t we still had our focus on the reviews and food. When I ordered a drink ( one of their signature drinks) it tasted like dirty rags I could not drink it at all. I could not drink it after ONE SIP! We received our food. We ordered the shrimp and grits burger and the southern comfort burger and the fajita totchos. The shrimp grits burger was okay not that great to even be an award winning burger. The Nook southern comfort burger was Horrible. I had never tasted something so vile. It tasted like burnt cigarettes ( I am not being sarcastic, I am being totally serious). The Fajita totchos were okay. The only thing great about this place was a bowl of Mac and cheese we got as a side. The music was great. The atmosphere is a bunch of young adults hanging out and drinking. They have big fish bowl drinks, so each table with 4 or 5 people drinking from a single fishbowl full of liquor, is probably why whoever thinks this place is good because they can do this. I would NEVER come back to this restaurant. It’s not about the wait times as I saw in other reviews, it’s because of how disgusting the food and drinks were.

A short walk from our hotel, the W Midtown and located next to the park. Food and cocktails were excellent, just hard to give it a five when entree was just warm, like waiting on the other order to be ready.

Casual dining with live background music, located off Piedmont Park. Lots of menu choices, indoor and outdoor seating in a pub like atmosphere. This is a great place to met up with friends to enjoy a cheap and cheerful meal and a drink.

There are many bar food favorites on the menu, but with a twist. The all time favorite tater tots topped with many choices to bring them a bit upscale were a big hit. I had the blackened chicken wrap with spinach and basil sauce. The chicken had no flavor, the basil sauce overwhelmed the sandwich. One of our group had the Reuben and said it was very tasty. The atmosphere is fun. We sat outside to people watch. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The parking is bad, but there is a valet who is friendly and efficient.

From start to end simply the best. I called in and spoke with Holli which was a pleasant experience ina and of itself then upon arrival that was paired with her attentiveness and energy. She was great (bartender and phenomenal mixer)! My family and I were seated.. and then we met Bianca! She was so positive, so upbeat, and made us feel as though we were the only ones there as she was going between my group of 4 and 6 to 8 other tables with more. Just perfect. On the way out after we dined on our perfectly prepared and presented brunch, we met Inga the manager. She was side by side with the entire staff making sure everyone was was enjoying their experience. Great place to visit.

Omg their totchos are amazing, please try them. And you must go to The Nook with friends and share a punchbowl to accompany your totchos, you will have a great time!

We love the great food and drink at the Nook! We go once a week as part of our outdoor exercise routine during the lockdown. We appreciate the challenges faced by restaurants and small businesses during this questionable lockdown. We appreciate the Nook for being open for take out and using the cautions outlined by the CDC. Please keep up the great service and great food!!!

Everything was great. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were almoat as good as Mary Mac's. Everyone loved their burgers. Only bad thing was the Mac n cheese, just had no taste. Parking is a pain but hey, it's Atlanta. Better off finding a spot on a side street or parking garage. Outside is a great patio to sit and people watch, inside is nice too but can get a little loud.

The location is just outside Piedmont Park; if visiting there then this is a good casual atmosphere restaurant. The food is typical pub fare.

Nice enough sort of place but the food was quite poor. My chilli was almost cold and was returned to the kitchen twice without much success. If there was any chilli in the dish, I couldn't taste it. I like my chilli quite thick in texture; this was watery. The manager tried to resolve these issues but the waiters didn't seem to care much. One of them said " the dish feels hot enough". My friend pointed out that I was eating the chilli, not the dish!! My companions enjoyed their salads.

The restaurant has a fun, laid back atmosphere. The food very good. I loved the burger! Wow! The prices are reasonable too.

We've been going to The Nook for years and have always enjoyed it. Took our family for brunch today, and it has completely gone downhill. Took 15 minutes to be greeted by the server. Another 20 minutes before our drinks were brought. The bloody mary's were bitter and watered down. My husband brought ours back to the bar to be remade freshly AND THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US FOR FOUR. In fact the jerk-manager claimed she watched us drink all four, when her own bar tender poured the first two out. The manager was incredibly rude. And I've put my time in as a restaurant worker. I understand when you're in the weeds or the kitchen is behind. But I also understand service. We left shocked to have been treated so nastily when we were incredibly patient about the poor service throughout and just didn't want to pay for drinks we didn't drink. Additionally the manager refused to give us information on her leadership. Wouldn't tell us her name so she couldn't be reported. They were rude throughout. To loyal customers. Loyal no more. We won't be coming back. With management like that, you'll be losing more customers than just us.

Great food. Although service was very slow. Overall good experience, make sure you take advantage of reduced parking rates at the parking garage at 13th and Juniper. Nook will give you a sticker for you parking ticket. KC

Sunday brunch at The Nook was really exceptional. Our party had everything from Salmon omelet, to veggie omelet to Chicken Wrap and a grilled chicken sandwich which were all great. Sweet potato fries were a bit soggy but still tasty and the Mimosas were flowing. Our server was very attentive and always kept an eye out for anything needed.

We were so excited to go to this restaurant. They specialize in tater tot everything. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything we could order. Not sure if this was a one-time-deal but don't go to this place when they open. They were not prepared for business.

We were out in the park looking for something for a late lunch. We ordered the wings and the sandwich "Salmon B.T.L." The sandwich BTL was excellent! I rarely had such a delicious burger or sandwich with salmon!

First of all, their fishbowl drinks are great for a group! The arnold palmer was quite tasty. This is a great place for drinks and a snack or full blown dinner. Tater tot appetizers are wonderful with perfect tots and various toppings. The sweet potato fries are some of the best I have ever had. I had the shrimp and grits and it was wonderful - they also offer a shrimp and grits burger but I went with the traditional entree. They offer outside dining on the porch or inside. It can be loud inside but as the weather cools the porch is prime - although the flies can be a little pesky. The staff was pleasant and efficient, a pleasure to deal with. The pricing was not bad - a great option around the park and not a bad walk from mid town over by GaTech.

Tots were overrated- they got nothing on Orida. Dry, no toppings, definitely NOT “loaded.” Horrible horrible service. Literally had to grab waiter to both get our check and to give him our credit card. Silver lining? Nice patio, sausage/Gouda grit side dish was great.

We stopped here today for drinks and an appetizer after walking a couple of miles in the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Piedmont Park. At first we were seated inside, but the music was at ear-splitting levels so we asked to be moved. They moved us right away to a table on the patio. Our server came over promptly and we asked for waters as well as putting in an order for 2 Crackaritas (similar to a margarita). We got our waters after a couple of minutes, and the Crackaritas after maybe 10+ minutes. We also put in an order for the Loaded Potatchos, with bacon, sour cream, scallions, shredded cheese and cheese sauce. The Crackaritas have a strange taste like they are missing something such as sour mix. I also think the agave syrup doesn’t do them any favors. The Loaded Potatchos came out fast, maybe 10 minutes. They were good but the server delivering them didn’t know what table they went to so she walked around with them for a couple of minutes. They cooled a little bit (they get soggy fast with the cheese sauce). The bacon on them was badly burned but they still tasted really pretty good. I got a second drink when another server came by the table: The Great Northern Mule, made with an Indigo Gin. The combination of gin and ginger beer is odd, but the drink was refreshing.

I'd been to the Nook when visiting before about 6 yrs ago...soooooooo glad to be back! The menu has everything from calamari with peppers and a delicious dipping sauce, to deep fried Twinkies and delicious signature drinks. Directly across the street is Piedmont Park, sitting on the patio is great for people watching and ambiance. Spring for the valet parking, it's very hard to find a place to park anywhere near without walking a few blocks. Service was great, atmosphere is mellow but still fun. If you're in the area, swing in and leave happy!

This is a fantastic local bar/pub to stop at after exploring Piedmont Park/Midtown/Botanical Garden. They have a large patio overlooking the entrance to Piedmont Park, and we spent an hour or two having drinks and playing dice after a long day at the Botanical Garden. The staff are so much fun. They're known for their Totchos (tater-tot nachos) and have a few different "varieties". My friends loved the Redneck Totchos. We all shared the hummus which was fantastic, and I enjoyed the Duley Salad. I love some good bar food, and The Nook doesn't disappoint!

The Nook is in our neighborhood, less than two blocks away. We've gone to this location, long before it was The Nook, for many years. We want to like it. We try. But it's over because this is our third visit during which things just haven't been acceptable. On a nice evening, there were tables available outside and no line. But those tables weren't available. This has happened before; I'm still not sure why we cannot sit at those tables. We sat inside. I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan, which was inexplicably served on the rocks. I asked for it up, as it should be, and it was returned in the right glass, but small and sweet (still $9); that's not a Manhattan. My friend ordered a Stoli; they don't have Stoli any more. My husband ordered their signature "totchos"; they were soggy and greasy. (They're usually irresistibly crunchy.) And so we won't return. The service is always well-meaning, but not professional. The food is no longer reliable. What had been a go-to neighborhood place has lost its charm. We can walk to ten other places in just a few extra minutes, and that's what we'll do.

My husband and I went here for a light bite before a concert. We had just walked in Piedmont Park and stopping here made sense. The only available table at around 6 pm was in the bar. It was crowded around the bar itself but we had a table tucked back against the wall. It was loud. We ordered the Giving Totchos ($10). I ordered the $5 Ketel 1 martini up, he ordered a Scofflaw ($3). Our server acted like it was a waste of time to take our order. She came back to deliver the Totchos, to check on us (as she walked by), and to drop off the check. Brusque. The Totchos were good. They looked attractive, tasted good, and were hot. We were enjoying ourselves until a singles club came in. There was no place for them to sit; they just walked in without the host. They didn't want to stand at the bar so they stood right night to our table. Ummm yeah, not good for us. We left as soon as we could.

Really enjoyed Sunday brunch outside on the deck. Food and drinks were excellent and their Bloody Mary is to die for! Almost a meal in itself!

Wait staff was very friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. The mimosas were delicious. Wish we had tried the tots, they looked amazing.

They claim to be the Home of the Totchos! OMG! These are a version of nachos with tater tots as the nacho chips. So incredibly tasty. They have several versions based on different toppings ranging from traditional nacho toppings to Redneck with pulled pork to a loaded baked potato version. The Macho Totcho is a 5 lb challenge. I can’t imagine!!! One order is shareable. And the prices are so reasonable. My wife had one if their stuffed burgers. Wow! I’ll get one of those on my next visit!!

We arrived at this restaurant by chance following a visit to the botanical garden which is right next door. Really nice, good advice from the waitress and we spoke with the person in charge of the kitchen. The Totchos specialty is good. a plate for 2 is good because it's a big plate. Friendly setting thank you for everything

We were in town for 4 days and found time to visit The Nook twice for lunch. They had a great weekday lunch special. The lunch special was about $10 and there were approximately 10 options. They have a very nice outdoor porch which is mostly shaded. The service was good, and the beer selection was also great. We got out of there for under $35 including alcohol. Great deal!

You can do so much better than here. The food was just carbohydrate on a plate in a gargantuan portion. If you need just to re-fuel then it would be OK but if you are looking for a quality meal then give it a miss.

We went out for a long walk through Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and stopped here for a snack. We both ordered gin & tonics, which were great. We also ordered the Loaded PoTotchos: tater tots with cheese sauce, sour cream, scallions, shredded cheese, and bacon bits. Probably not the healthiest thing to eat, but OH so delicious! Good service and we got to sit in a booth in the bar area.

I had dinner here whilst on business. The food was good and tasty with reasonable portion sizes. The plate it was served on was chipped on both sides, perhaps they need to invest in some new ones? The service was good and friendly and I will go back again if In the area.

It's my go to, love all the bartenders, but Mike, Wendy, and Jacob have become almost like family. They know what I want before I sit, haha. For food, I recommend the lamb burger with tots or sweet potato fries. It's the best. Medium Rare. Thank me, later. Also the shrimp and grits. It's like a grit cake, it's amazing. They also have a shrimp and grits stuffed burger. Again, thank me later.

I struggled to like this place. It is close to where I live and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately the quality of the food is just that great. It is fine for a quick bite and to watch a game but I am not sure why it gets more then a 3 star rating by anyone. It is simply a hole in the wall bar with some average food. Nothing wrong with that, but know what to expect when you visit.

Nice cozy place to dine. Parking is difficult but staff was friendly and helpful. My food was wrong but waiter was apologic and very accomodating. The cheese grits were amazing and tator tots was tasty. Great view. I will definitely go back.

I went for lunch and got to try some tasty buffalo tots. We also had the wings which were decent but I'd recommend the tots over it as they had a lot of different kinds to chose from. Besides the food the staff was friendly and even after it started to fill up we got pretty good service.

Staying in Midtown for a birthday celebration we came upon The Nook. Our bartender Sarah was delightful (and did a great job on her first day). The beer menu is plentiful and the outdoor patio is lovely. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous patio, great food and excellent staff! Scratch kitchen, all of the sauces are made in house. Try the stuffed burgers!

Came in town for business from Seattle. Matthew from the Loews Atlanta Hotel mentioned to me the Tots at The Nook, so I had to try them. By far some of the best food and laid back atmosphere I have ever enjoyed.

Wow!! What a great surprise. This place is great. We had a great meal, really tasty and healthy food. I was surprised to learn 100% of their food and sauces are prepared from scratch, no canned stuff at all. The Duley chicken salad was delicious. Local-ito is their version of Mojito and we downed several, really tasty. Nice cocktail menu and huge beer list. Craig was our server and he was excellent, super friendly and fast. Jasmine the manager stopped by our table twice to make sure we were enjoying everything. We will be back for sure!!

A group of work friends (15 of us) went here for dinner. Staff extremely accommodating for our large group even though we called and made the reservation the day of! Jordan was an INCREDIBLE server. The tatchos are definitely worth trying! Buffalo chicken and the queso ones were my favorites! They also have healthier options such as salmon & black bean burgers. I had the nook wrap with chicken and if I could do it again I would have tried the black bean burger instead.Overall, a solid restaurant to try bar food in the midtown area. Side note, they have valet parking, trivia on Wednesday, and Karaoke on Thursday!

Excellent dinner, I had 6 family members in my party. All entre's were excellent. Service was good, I highly recommend the Nook.

I had never eaten a tater-tot before arriving accidentally at The Nook. Our waitress told us that that's what they were known for so we ordered up two big bowls. Man, they were good! Tater-tots are what all good potatoes should aspire to becoming. Oh and the staff were all really nice, too!

We stopped in because of the bloody Mary's but instead had the PeachTea drink - really refreshing, also had the sliders and tator tots - Cajun style. Everything tasted great and the service was super friendly everyone from the busboy to the manager took a moment to say hello! Nothing fancy but a great place to eat good food and feel like you made new friends.

We stumbled upon The Nook by accident after Googling "Best Bloody Mary in Atalanta." Just so happens The Nook was ranked pretty high and was right around the corner from our Airbnb. SOOOO happy we did not miss this gem! My husband and I travel a lot. We have been to the east coast, west coast and all over sunny Florida. We never leave a vacation without trying at least 1 Bloody Mary, so our expectations are always high. The Nook did not disappoint! The Bloody Mary was one of the best I have ever had. I actually felt guilty admitting this, as if I was cheating on my original favorite in Florida. The huge Bloody Mary was stocked full of all the goodies, in a giant 32ounce glass made with house mix, that was thick and spicy! On top of that, we ordered the local hot dog with peanut butter. Sounded gross at first, but it was supposedly what The Nook was known for, and we figured we have to try something different while we are here. Again, it did not disappoint and was surprisingly good. I couldn't believe the flavors complimented each other so nicely. A big, beefy, juicy hot dog with bacon, peanut butter, and a pickle. Yummy! To top it off, the dog was served with Tator Tots!!! The service was also fantastic! Southern hospitality. Friendly, and attentive servers. This was our first time in Atlanta, and we were only there for Super Bowl Weekend, but The Nook makes me want to plan another visit there soon!

Another excellent experience at The Nook, my favorite patio spot in midtown. The service was awesome and the lamb burger is the best!

Ate lunch here on a busy Saturday. The host staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The outside area is enclosed with plastic that can be raised or lowered, and that day it was down as the weather was cool and very windy. Our server was nice but very slow and he did get one of our orders wrong. We opted not to send it back based on the length of time it took to get our food. We ordered some of their tots as that is what they are know for. We got the nacho ones. They were good not overly topped with toppings, but enough to make them tasty but remaining crisp. We also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was good but could have had a larger piece of chicken as you had more bun than meat. Their sweet potato fries are good. Our son got the waffle and chicken and he liked it but the waffle was made from cornbread so it was very thick and feeling This place is in a very popular location so it does remain busy. They have valet parking but it fills up so they also do parking tickets validation stickers if you park in the public parking garage on 13th street which keeps the parking cost down. We enjoyed our food and would go back. Just do not be in a hurry when you go

I had the great vegetarian sandwich with tots. I love tots and eat them several mornings a week with scrambled eggs. This was a tasty meal. The background music made it slightly difficult to carry on a conversation. The service was attentive and courteous.

Good for drinks and a casual meal. Inside looks ok but outside has the ambiance , was excellent on a warm summer nite, while nightly drink specials are a good deal . Looks like a good place to catch a sports game but nothing happening when we were there. Service pleasant but a bit disorganised . I would definitely come by here again for a drink or an easy meal !

Wow amazing cool experience in Atlanta. Try the Totchos. Everything is good! And so is the service. Skip the normal breakfast place and come to this Atlanta gem!

There are mnay posts about the Tater Tots but thet are only frozen Tater Tots with some stuff thrown on top. I have has better at a fast food place. wont waste my money on this place again

The servers were all very friendly, and the food was good, I had the Black Bean Burger and Tots, I would absolutely recommend it.

Such a fun place. Eating on the patio is my favorite. And they have tater tots and adult beverage fish bowls. A pretty yummy Bloody Mary too! Parking a bit challenging, and quite a few tables on the patio reserved for larger parties, but other than that, super fun!

My husband decided to visit on a rainy Saturday morning. It was cold and we wanted comfort. The interior was cozy and inviting. Both of us ordered the grits bowl with grilled chicken- Molly's Chicken and grits. The flavors started at the top of the bowl and winded in and out of ever grain of grits. No one spoonful came to our mouth without something flavorful. From mushrooms, to cheese, to peppers. The grits were smooth and silky as a good bowl of grits should be. Mounts of food. We were in heaven!!! Only one suggestion: warm the bowls before putting the hot food it in to preserve temperatures. We will go again because we really want to taste the tots.

Saw a few reviews and will tell u we are a young late 40's couple. The mix of guests were of all ages. The guy playing the guitar made it relaxing and enjoyable. It can get very crowded inside, but we chose outside and it was a cool crisp sunset. They have heaters, fans, etc for whatever temp there is, some T.V's outside and a nice view across from the Piedmont Park. We planned on leaving the area for dinner and happened to walk by and check it out. Service was great, somewhat slow but the atmosphere was worth the slow service, Food was pretty good and the selection of food and drinks is perfect. Would definitely go there again and bring the family.

If you decide to eat inside the music is really loud and our party of 6 could not talk to each other. I would recommend a seat on the patios. First time here and love the concept of the Totchos. Who doesn’t like tater tots with toppings. I had the Buffalo Totchos and they were excellent. My niece had the Fajita Totchos but not as much meat as my chicken but still great. My daughter went for the cheese steak sub with a side of huge onion rings and they were great too! I would give this place five stars if the music wasn’t so loud and our nook we sat in for 6 people was bigger.

The conceit from our hotel sent us to The Nook, I wish she had took note of our age. We are 52 and certainly not opposed to young adults, we have three of our own. We were BY FAR the oldest people in this overcrowded restaurant with a long wait. Seated, the music was so loud we had to lean into each other to have a conversation. It was obviously a very popular place with the twenty something crowd and they were loud and proud! The "Big-to-do". We're appetizers of tater tots, you select your topping. They were tater tots with cheese on top. To be fair there were other "special" toppings, still just tater tots! One burger with...you guessed it, tater tots, one club sandwich with fabulous sweet potatoe fries! Their sweet tea was a true Georgia delight. The manager seemed to work very hard to facilitate the control of this chaos. He was very kind to us and made sure we had drinks, I think he had mercy on us since we were obviously not in our element. I cannot rate this restaurant/bar badly, if I were twenty to thirty, this might be just what I was looking for.

We visited this place after the Atlanta Botanical Gardens based on the reviews. Things we learned: 1 - It's cheaper to leave your car parked at ABG and walk than to use the only slightly closer public parking deck. 2 - Totchos ARE good. But they are pricey. 3 - This is really more of an adult place. Yes, there were some kids besides ours, but it was very noisy and crowded with twenty-somethings watching the sports games. A few pics of our meals are below. They were fine. The totchos didn't last for a pic.

Burgers are great but not enough variety. Food was good! Burgers are cooked to request. Important to note that. Next to Piedmont Park. Eat and walk!

It starts when you let Q valet your car for $2 please add a tip to that. The wait staff is wonderful. There is music playing people chatting and sports on TV but this is not a sports bar. It is a gathering hang out with friend, eat with the family or have a date place. The food selections include everything from egg white salmon omelets to hot dogs with peanut butter, bacon and chips on top. Try the Best Bloody Mary if you have someone to share it with or a ride home. My secret is to add a generous splash of Dr. Pepper to cut the bitterness In A Bloody Mary. This is a great place and deserves 5 stars from beginning to end.

The staff is all very friendly but service is mediocre. It was a pleasant night to sit in the outdoor patio so we didn't really get upset when no one noticed our arrival (and finally someone asked if we'd been helped then sent our waitress over), my substitution request was not accepted, my order came out wrong and our food was served before we had any utensils (we had to flag our waitress down). The menu has a great variety of salads burgers and wraps, along with their signature Tatchos (tater tots smothered in a variety of toppings.) It's an easy place to sit and talk. I would go again, without expecting too much.

Cool atmosphere, the service was great, she had lots of suggestions. The bacon Mac n cheese is really good. The redneck totchos are great! The stuffed burgers are awesome! You probably couldn't go wrong with anything here! Thanks trip advisor for another great find!

Such a fun place and having fun sitting at the bar , with a great bartender, who knows his business. Had a marvelous Quesadea loaded....and quite a large serving...Right across from the park....Wonderful!!!

My co-worker want to go there for her congratulatory lunch since she was promoted and having to move away. The restaurant was full but there wasn't anyone on the patio. We had a party of five so we didn't have a large party. We ordered and waited an hour and no food. We asked the waiter how much longer it would be and he said it was next. We had to tell him to bag it up since too so long. We also said we would go ahead an pay to make it faster. We than waited fifteen move mins and we then asked if we could get a discount since this isn't good service. We were told by the waiter they were at normal ticket times. We asked for the manager who said we wouldn't have to pay for anything. We told him we already paid and he said he couldn't do anything. He then looked at the tickets and said if your waiter hasn't closed our tickets he could take care of it. We also still didn't have any food yet. After he took the tickets our food arrived after an hour and a half. He returned and we were very upset to see he only gave us a 10% discount. To end it all after we returned to the office two of my co-workers had food that wasn't cooked properly. Our co-worker we took out had a salmon wrap and the salmon only had a sear on the outside and was raw in the middle. The other meal was a charred lamb burger. Most of my reviews are good but I feel the service was so disappointing that I needed to post this review. My co-workers also sent emails and never received any response.

We went to the Nook for brunch one morning and had to wait quite a while. It wasn't that big of a deal because we grabbed some bloody marys and hung around the bar until our table was ready. We got their massive bloody mary with all the crazy toppings on top and our entire table enjoyed it. Also, their Totchos are DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend them!

Ok! Came here for Father's Day and complete bust! Service poor and as a public safety person no more discounts!!!! That really don't matter. Food was ok at best. Don't mind paid for good food but really over priced. Last time for this guy! Your better off going to BK!!!!

Went for brunch on a Saturday and was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had. I wish I could remember our waiters name to call him out on terrible he was. We had a table for two, were sat right away as it was not busy. We ended up being there for over 45 mins before our food came. Our server never brought our appetizer we ordered and was unapologetic. If I wanted service I LITERALLY had to flag him down to get him to come over to our table. He never once asked if we needed anything or how we we're doing. The food was average at best. I could understand poor service if the place was beyond busy but it wasn't.

My wife, myself and the best beagle ever decided to celebrate our dogs birthday with a trip to Piedmont Park and a lunch. My wife did her due diligence and researched dog friendly restaurants in the area around the park; multiple sites showed the Nook as dog friendly on the covered patio (other people had written about positive experiences with their dogs). We live 45" away, so the Nook is not around the corner, parking is far and few in between and expensive in garages. We arrived at the Nook, and my wife went to check with the host to advise him that we have a dog. The hostess/manager? advised her that they were not dog friendly and was dismissive in his demeanor toward her. Further, when my wife showed him the number of web sites that posted the restaurant, his only response was that he needed to request that those sites come down. He could have made an apology and offered one time seating, or coupon for later use, anything. This guy came off as a complete a-whole, and now we are happy not to have given them our business. By the way we had awesome, pet friendly service at Ted's in Cumming, Ga.

Had a few good appetizers and several great drinks! Great casual spot by the park. Try the back porch martini... Pecan moonshine and peach vodka;)

Went for the Bloody Mary on recommendation and was not disappointed. Never seen anything like it and it tasted great. Should have shared 1 between us but if you're going for it, go for it! Didn't need the salmon omelette but that was delicious too. As were the tater tots. Overall a great brunch in a relaxed atmosphere, overlooking the park with friendly service.

Great little place along the side of Piedmont park. There seem to be very few watering holes around here, so after a long walk this was a great little find. The lighting is low and atmospheric, the staff were friendly and inviting... and the beer was cold. Didn't try the food, but that seemed to be going down well with all the other guests.

The Nook is directly across from Piedmont Park and has a great open air patio section to enjoy views of the park and foot traffic. Not a fancy place but great for casual drinks and food - went yesterday after walking through the Dogwood Festival at the park and it was the perfect end to a great day outdoors. For drinks, i had the red sangria and thought it was really refreshing and tasted food. If you are feeling adventuresome they have fishbowl drink specials that look fun for sharing. For food I got the Peachtree which was grilled chicken with blue cheese crumbles, cheese etc. It was good but seemed like more bread than chicken - the hamburger looks really good so I’d get that next time. If you like tater tots they have an an entire section of various toppings. Service can be slow but I didn’t mind because we were enjoying the vibe.

I hardly ever write reviews!! A place has to be practically horrendous for me to do so. I must say...am stunned. Waited 40 minutes for drinks, went to the bar to tell my server we had been waiting, she said it’s the bartender! We are also busy.! When I tried to explain that we had been waiting 40 minutes to order food as well, she said to me, “ it ain’t been no 40 minutes!!!! She snapped back at me and said that if I did not like it, then to leave. 😳Meanwhile, the bartender was giving someone long hugs, looked over and laughed when I tried to address our wait and literally turned around and ignored me. I could not believe the experience here at the Nook. What has happened to this place? It was NOT busy! It was 8:30 pm on a Tuesday. We decided to leave, no drinks, no food, and waisted so much time there. Horrible!!! Stay away from this place!

Server was excellent and very friendly. Our food was very good and atmosphere was chilled. Would recommend for sure and would visit again

We have been to The Nook several times and have never been disappointed. Absolutely love the outside dining area - open air with numerous televisions - perfect spot to watch a game. Great bar selections and meal choices - love the Philly Sandwich with au jus and the hamburger - to die for!! The tater tot concoction appetizer is fun and delicious. The drinks are awesome and the environment is fun - very poplar locale - parking is tough but they offer valet.

Great spot for a early dinner on sunday evening. Food was good, drinks good looks more like a drinking spot but don't let that fool you the food is really good service good though could use a little more attention but don't let that detour you. GET THE TOTS!

Was excited to experience the hype while visiting, ordered; but waited over an hour and 20 minutes for app food with 4 tables served ahead. Server was good but it was a basic order of tots w/ gravy regardless of a “scratch” kitchen.

Since we (6 people) were staying at a hotel on 14th street, we were told by the staff that the Nook was close by and could walk to the restaurant. We arrived at 6:30, seated promptly and ordered drinks and a few appetizers. The drinks came, and appetizers soon after. We sat and had a good conversation and a few of us ordered more drinks. Our dinner order was taken and was delivered to the table in a reasonable amount of time. All the food was very good, cooked properly and it all tasted very good. The burgers were great, the salmon was fresh and the tater tots (a restaurant specialty) were great. Warm atmosphere, large outdoor terrace with tv's in every corner. Service was great and I would definitely go back to the Nook.

If I wasn't looking forward to one of their "totchos" and if I hadn't walked 15 minutes in 95 degree heat plus humidity I would have walked away as soon as I open the door and was greeted by blaring music. Place was still packed on a Saturday at 2 in the afternoon, so I sat at the bar rather than waiting for a table. The bar tender took his time even acknowledging me, then I was overlooked while he was kibitzing with a group of guys. My order, once it was taken shouted into the bartender's ear, came quickly but was disappointing. I order the chicken nacho totcho. The amount of chicken was scant and it was missing the cheese sauce. I decided it wasn't worth trying to get the bartender 's attention. It took long minutes to get him to bring me silverware. I felt I paid $10 for a pile of tater tots that I could have gotten at the grocery store.

Dinner with about 20 others. Ordered multiple appetizers including the oysters. All were great. Then ordered dinner. Service was from an extremely polite wait staff.

Went for a late lunch with my after flying in to Atlanta today. The place wasn't very busy so thought we'd get in and out quickly. Nope - took a while to order food then kitchen was slow. The buffalo sliders were ok and so was the grilled turkey sandwich. Nothing special. Pricing was decent for lunch - about $10 each (plus drinks)

We went here as a large group and we all loved it! The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. We all loved the food, even the kids!! I would definitely add this onto your list of places to eat in ATL.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and they were pretty busy. There is very limited parking. All staff were super nice. At first the fish bowl seemed a little pricey and only 1/2 full but it was very strong and definitely had to be shared. The tots were amazing. We mainly just wanted to try a fish bowl and hang out until going to cirque du soliel and never felt rushed despite them being busy

Visiting Atlanta for the first time in years and while looking for a cozy brunch spot in midtown, we found the perfect spot - the Nook. Friendly with the best combination of location, patio, service, Bloody Mary and possibly my favorite ingredient - the music. A vibrant, welcoming atmosphere while we dined across from the park. It just doesn't get much better.

I got seated very quickly on the patio which has a great atmosphere and vibe. My friend was about 25 mins late but my server was super cool about it as it wasn't during peak hours. We got the Punch Drunk Love fishbowl (strawberry lemonade w/ vodka) and it was DELICIOUS!! I am trying to be healthy and chose the turkey burger and to my surprise I loved it and didn't regret not ordering beef. Fun place and great location. Walk off your alcohol in Piedmont Park directly across the street :)

Nice atmosphere. Great variety of delicious food. Breakfast lunch and dinners good night time atmospheres. Booze and breakfast! Great combo :)

Went to a birthday celebration brunch at The Nook. Nice variety of choices for entrees including eggs, sandwiches, salads and of course pitchers of Mimosa's. Service was excellent. Server was attentive and not a long wait for our order to be taken or for the food to arrive. Restaurant has more seating than it appears from the street and there is ample outside seating as well. Parking is at a minimum but they do offer valet service.

I went here with some family and had an ok experience. We ordered the totchos, and some entrees off the breakfast menu. There wasn't anything special about the food. It was just ok. There weren't interesting ingredients or flavors. We went here on a Sunday when it opened so it wasn't crowded. There was a lot of seating but as it got closer to the afternoon, it was getting busy. I ordered their gigantic bloody mary and it was ok. The items they put in their bloody weren't that great. If you want ok bar food or breakfast to cure a hangover, this is the spot for you. If you're a foodie, don't bother coming here.

This restaurant is fun. For a sunny Sunday afternoon it was great to have a couple of beers and the famous Toncho's with some classic rock we were trying not to sing along to playing in the background. Large portions. Nice outdoor area, although there was a long wait to sit outside. Staff were very friendly.

We stopped in for a drink or two on a Friday night, they have a great patio that looks out onto Piedmont Park. If you love tater tots, this place is for you... stop in and try the famous Totchos. The two we tried, the buffalo chicken totchos and the Redneck Totchos, were so good! It's not a fancy place, but good service and great place to have a drink (or a fishbowl!)...and totchos, don't forget the totchos.

Ate lunch here while attending a business conference at the W. There only seemed to be one server for the whole place. Salmon burger was juicy and delicious though!

Staff is very friendly and attentive! Average neighborhood pub feel with a indoor/outdoor seating. The outdoor patio looks into Piedmont Park. Great drink selections. I had a couple Mules (the Nook version)...although flavorful, they were served in a glass, not in a copper/tin cup. May've been psychological, but seemed to make it taste different, but still good. Seems like a good place to watch sports, plenty of outdoor TV's...looks like they support Mich St, which is fine with me...but, roll with The Tide!

Easy place to grab drinks on a first or second date and get to know someone. Different things going on nightly so check their social media but it's right on the park and an easy watering hole to get to if you're in the city. It's also a somewhat quieter scene then Tenth Street (if you don't know what I'm getting at take a walk around Tenth and Piedmont).

My friends and I had dinner here recently and it was nice, the server was adequate but it was nothing special. I ordered the bourbon salmon which was excellent but the Brussel sprouts were tasteless and the green beans were just ok. One of my companions ordered the ahi tuna salad and she enjoyed it however my other companion ordered the regular burger and it was forgettable. I will not be back simply because there are better places to eat in that same area.

A great local spot with amazing totchos, which are just nachos with tater tots as the base. Also good fishbowl if that’s your style for sweet liquor drinks...

Shout out to my boys Chuck and Dustin, the bartenders at the coolest sports bar/ breakfast place in Midtown! Such a fun environment, I will def be back next time im in town! I recommend this place to everyone the food is great and the staff really seems to enjoy working there!

Great place across from Piedmont Park. Solid menu, higher quality than bar food. Great drinks. Always great service and friendly atmosphere.

After passing by this place a few Sundays after playing kickball at Piedmont Park, we decided to try this place. The staff is attentive and the menu looked promising... both are facades! The staff is inattentive - I guess it being early evening on a Sunday, it's their time to play on their phones and play tag with each other. Items on the menu read a good game but when it was time to put up, they should settle to shut up. I had the Prime Rib Smoked Dip and she had the Piedmont Pork. The prime rib was very dry. It reminded me of thick cut roast beef lunch meat. She said the pork was bland but did enjoy the apple and blue cheese slaw. I would have given this place a 2+ but it's not an option. I settled for 3* vs 2* because I'm in a good mood today and the service was ok WHEN they stopped by the table... but it should be closer to 2* vs the 3* I gave.

Parking is an absolute nightmare, but their valet parking is reasonable and the valet himself couldn't have been nicer so its certainly the way to go. The location is cute and quirky, but the music is waaaaay too loud and makes conversations kind of difficult. It would be great to hang out with a bunch of friends or to watch the game, but its not a 'date night' kind of place. The patrons are a pretty eclectic mix of ages, races, and genders - so all are welcome and comfortable. I had the local lemonade, which was pretty fantastic. The food was . . . not very good. The loaded totchos were good in a 'bar food' kind of way, but the entrees were just . . .not. I think I took three bites of my meatloaf before I gave up. I might go again under different circumstances, but I'd be hesitant. Its got great potential and a killer location right by the park, just needs some tweaks to make it work.

We went here after seeing it on MVF. I wanted to order the challenge plate and share however my better half did not. So I ordered the redneck tots (pulled pork and BBQ sauce with cheese) and she ordered the buffalo tots (like the chicken wings). Both were good and halfway through we traded. Only draw back was something didn’t sit right with me so I wasn’t feeling good that evening. Even with that, I would order it all again.

I first heard of the Nook on Atlanta Eats. What an all around great atmosphere-location and menu. There are enough flat screens which allows for sports fans and intimate gatherings to co-exists. The food was delicious, filling and economical. We had a blast with our waitress Montana! We didn't get to experience the infamous fish bowl; we'll be back!! Parking can be tricky, but not so much with $3 valet.

Tater tot nachos served many different ways and all are fantastic! We came here after a concert and it was the perfect food to end an incredible night. Service was great and so was the atmosphere.

Great casual place in ATL Midtown, across from Piedmont Park. We walked there after a day at the Botanical Gardens. Our server was very attentive, perhaps one of the best server experiences we have had post-pandemic. He shared with us other great places to enjoy while we were in town. The patio was very clean, and heated for a nice cool evening. The food is bar-style and did not disappoint. We did not leave hungry at all! It is as great a place to grab a drink after a game in the park, as it is to bring your family.

Makes me feel like a true ATLien. Will be back again. Great service and good and amazing totchos. Not to mention the legendary fishbowls...

Good bar/restaurant with a number of local brews on tap and in bottles. Heard about the totchos, came, ordered, conquered. The brisquet 'chos were great, as were the cheese + bacon ones. It's good drunk food, even if you're not that drunk. Service, as always when in Atlanta, was friendly and attentive.

We always return to The Nook each time we visit Atlanta. Great patio, great food and beer/drinks, and always a great time! I love the tater tots and fish bowl drinks!!!

Went here for lunch after a day walking around Piedmont Park, The waitstaff was friendly, service could have been better when my water was brought to me it had an old rusty washer in the bottom of it! After I drank from the cup I noticed it at the bottom, when my waitress finally came I had to flag her down, she just stated "where did that come from" and came me another cup of water, I probably need to go see a doctor after consuming that! I ordered the rueben sandwich which tasted really stiff like low end slices of beef. Overall my experience wasnt good enough to want to come back to this place!

Everything that the Nook serves is wonderful! I always get the loaded tater tots for an app. The club sandwich is my favorite, but the burgers to the mac& cheese is wonderful. The ultimate is the fried Oreos and the fried Twinkie's which I highly suggest you keep room for! The bar serves a fish bowl which is fun to share with two or three of your friends! You will not ever regret going here!!

We were taking a walk through the park and happened upon this awesome little place!! The bar was fun and the food was awesome! Lots of TVs for sports fans! They even had live music! A guy with guitar singing awesome 70s and 80s music! I felt like I was at an après ski bar! They have a decadent specialty called Tatchos which are tater tots with nacho toppings! They are amazing! We had so much fun and will definitely go back when we are back in Atlanta!

Casual eatery. Students like the big bowls of alcohol. My salad was amazing. Buffalo to his, nook wrap and nook wrap were all great. Our server was friendly, warm and helpful. Would go again. Owner is clearly a Michigan State fan. Unfortunately they lost that night. Fun time!

The hot food was not particularly hot and the cold food was not particularly cold. Granted they were swamped on a Saturday afternoon (they host the Mich St football TV watching crowd) but service was a bit scattered and somewhat "off". The food is good and fun just not as good as I remember. The house salad was excellent; the wings were very good; and our friend proclaimed the Reuben "tasty" but the well remembered "totchos" have taken a decided slip since past visits. The folks are still about as friendly and outgoing as they can be and we will probably return when in the area but I just hope they are not a victim of their own success.

I had eaten here before and enjoyed myself. Visited here with friends on a Saturday morning after doing a charity run in Piedmont Park. It's conveniently located right outside of the park. We got there just as they opened and asked to be seated outside. They have heaters and blankets for cooler days. I ordered the salmon omelette. Looked like it was only made with two eggs and was pretty flat and dry. I ordered the fruit cup with it and asked specifically what fruits were in it. I requested NO honeydew. The waitress brought it out and it was a small cup and half of it was honeydew. She took it back and brought me something else. I tried the sweet potato fries. They were okay. Service as just okay. I don't think I'll go back there when there are lots of other restaurants around.

We decided on The Nook because of its convenience to our hotel. It's directly across Piedmont Road from the park just past 14th Street. Glad we did!!! Looking for some fuel the night before the Peachtree Road Race, we walked in and were seated immediately. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, spinach, cheeseburger, and of course - the tots - were all hot and full of flavor. Beer was cold, water glass never empty, wait staff ready when you are. We also had the fried Oreo's, yes, fried Oreo's! Served with vanilla ice cream - Ohhh mama!!! It was good! We will plan a trip to Piedmont Park in the fall with some friends, with a definite stop here for dinner. Highly recommend.

Nothing horrible, nothing great. Food good, not great. Empty tables when we walked up. At least 1/2 the tables, took them 10 minutes to seat us. Then another 15 minutes before we got a chance to order. Staff nice, but slow. Food was good. Totchos had toppings, but sparse. Nothing reached any of tots underneath nor enough to get to them. So basically a huge pile of tater tots. But, they were good tots. Parking tough. But I don't know why, we all enjoyed ourselves. When we ordered. Food was quick. Drinks always kept filled. Great atmosphere.

Inattentive waiter, poor food quality, bartender made the wrong drink, we did not get our entire food order. A total waste of our time.

The atmosphere was nice and employees pleasant. We had read about the totchos so specifically went there for the totchos nachos. It is a very thin layer of cheese sauce on bottom of plate with tater tots on top, then gator tops have perfectly square chicken pieces on them ( canned chicken I think), with flavorless pick de Gallo and three slices of raw jalapeños on top. The waitress brought my husband the wrong beer, it was in a bottle labeled, then got him the correct one, but don’t expect it to be served in a glass. Cans and bottles are served in the can or bottle they come in.

As a AC Hotel employee here in Midtown, I try to experience nearby restaurants so that I can recommend them to my guests checking in at our hotel. Although The Nook is located blocks from my hotel, I had never been. Today I finally went with some friends. The service was amazing but the food was mediocre. The waffles I ordered were hard as rocks. I've had better waffles at The Motel 6. But I will definitely give this place another chance. It's such a GREAT vibe and extremely nice restaurant, but the food doesn't match the atmosphere.

While visiting Atlanta with friends, we were recommended The Nook for lunch. Located directly across from Piedmont Park in downtown Atlanta, The Nook was a pleasant surprise that became a highlight of our trip. Based on other reviews, we obviously need to recommend the totchos as a must while you are here. While the base of totchos is literally tater tots, the toppings you can place on them make a new, unique take on a pedestrian food. The drink menu is fun and exciting as well! A surprise appetizer was the sliders – you could choose from 5-6 different sliders to purchase 4. They were unique and different, something unexpected and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend! As a note, parking is limited even with valet parking. Come shortly after opening for the best availability for parking or take public transportation and walk.

We found this restaurant near Piedmont park in midtown Atlanta. We were staying at the W so it was the closest restaurant with a covered outside seating. The service seems to be attentive depending on your server. We came there on a Sunday morning right after 11:20am so they were just getting started as we walked in. As we approached we entered and the door person gave us a big smile and welcomed us. She told us to sit where we like so we went to the patio. We walked through and sat at one of the sections with the high bar chairs near the T.V. right near the sidewalk. Great view of the park! We must have gotten a server that partied his night away until the early morning hours because he looked as if he had a hangover! He acted as if we were supposed to know the Bloody Mary special is made with tequila instead of vodka when we asked questions .No worries we ordered the classic vodka Bloody Mary and it was good. I got the chicken and waffles, and my wife got tator tots. They seem to put just about anything you want over any tots! We had to ask another server for some silverware after we got our drinks, because our server disappeared. My waffles were more like pancakes because they were so limp without any crunch what so ever..it came with a breaded chicken breast cut up. Let's just say this is a pub that serves hangover food!! Our server finally got out of his daze about the time I said if he doesn't come check on us his tip will reflect the service for sure. He came around right after I said that and I gave him a 20% tip and we went on with our day. Thank you to the employees of the Nook for having quick seating, and good classic Bloody Mary's!

Great little spot. Very limited parking. Loved the food. The service was fairly slow but that wouldn't keep me from coming back.

This is a great place to go with friends and enjoy the sights and sounds of Piedmont Park while enjoying great food. It is a gathering place for all types of people including regulars and tourists and patrons can enjoy a great outdoor seating area.

If you go by The Nook, the Tater Tots are a must have. The have dozens of incarnations of tots, including totcho's (tots like nacho's) and buffalo tots! For a laid back gathering in a perfect park-side location, the Nook is a great spot in Midtown.

Before we even arrived in downtown Atlanta we already had been told that " The NOOK " is Atlanta's best kept secret . Our visit was late afternoon just an hour or so before you cannot get a seat even if you had a $ 100 bill . I ordered a Double Premium Angus Burger on a bed of sauteed onions , topped with Corned Beef , swiss cheese , + Sauer Kraut , homemade sparty sauce and my Lady ordered a Lamb Burger covered with warm feta cheese , Spinach, tomato , and Red Onion and Cucumber Raita on a Challah Bun . . These monster sandwiches were only $ 12 and $ 15 . The mixed drinks are reasonable and well priced . Its a Super place to visit and meet others .

Just across from Piedmont Park; great fun to visit. Ordered the Totchos (nachos but with tater tots) which were terrific! Shared the brunch migas, and the chicken and grits. Migas were tasty though not like any others we've had. Chicken and grits were a disappointment. Needy some some or more flavoring. Didn't even finish.

If you are look for unique burgers then this is your place. Love the location. Right across from peidmont park. Nice outdoor area. Good bar area. Great place.

Nice outdoor seating across from Piedmont park, comfy bar area and table seating inside. Live entertainment can be a bit loud, so not the best place for conversation, but a fun vibe. Great selection of beer. Didn't try one of the fish bowl drinks, but they looked amazing. Gotta have the totshos - all options are superb! The pulled pork BBQ stuffed burger (that's right, a mound of shredded pork stuffed inside a grilled burger) was glutenous, but tasty. Save room for the humongous banana split - there were five of us and we all had plenty...although I think my favorite was the fried oreos - yum! Not a great place for weight-watchers, although the hummus plate was substantive and a good choice as a dinner entree in preparation for dessert. There is some valet parking on hand, so drive up first before looking for neighborhood parking and ask if they can squeeze you in (then remember to tip nicely for the accommodations).

We came here with our dogs since they have dog-friendly outdoor seating. The food was very good including the special, which was a chicken with penne pasta. Others in our group ordered the Cajun Pasta and the Piedmont Pork Sandwich. We enjoyed the food and proximity to Piedmont Park but we did get bit by mosquitoes during dinner.

Near the park so makes a great stop for a drink. Anything beyond drinks will be inconsistent and could be wrong. Service is horrible and inattentive. With so many options in the area for great food, go somewhere else

The food here is pretty good, last time I had a shrimp & grits burger, which was both interesting and good. The service is ok, but every time I've been here it's been varying forms of loud. And their beer and wine selections could be better. Having said that, I'd still go back.

In a dim-lit corner of this dubious place, A restaurant stands, a paradox of grace. The food is abysmal, a culinary blight, Each dish a disaster, every bite a fight. A scent of marijuana mingles in the air, With gasoline's tang, a nose-clogging affair. Service is horrendous, slow and absurd, Orders forgotten, voices unheard. Yet amidst the chaos, a flicker of delight, The Braves game glows in the neon light. Fans gather round, ignoring the plight, United in cheers, through the dreary night.

Not impressed. Wait was 30 mins plus. Staff was kind. The only reason i gave a decent review was the staff.

Came for the tots. Husband had the Southern Stuffed burger. Food was good. Ambiance is casual and comfortable. The service is attentive, but not overly so. Pople were nice.

The tater tot dishes were the initial draw to this restaurant, and it was very good (the redneck one). But after spending some time on the patio, the atmosphere made it a fun evening. Look forward to going back.

The food was great and since I was there on a Sunday the mimosas were only $3 so that was great too! My server was pretty inattentive but the upside was that after a while her co-workers noticed and started to stop by to help me too so by the end it didn't have too big of an impact overall. I think my server stopped by 2 -3 times is all but then there were also 3 different employees who helped me when she wasn't around. Oh and just a heads up they don't do any substitutions to their menu items. This didn't affect me but might be something to be aware of.

The burgers are great but even better is the infamous fish bowl it will have you happily running around Piedmont Park... Service is always great!

The best Tachos ever. Every experience there was pleasantly delicious. A great place for all your favourite comfort foods.

We have lived near Piedmont Park for years and have frequented the location called The Nook since before it was The Nook. For three consecutive visits in the past two months, my wife and I have noticed the food sliding in quality. Soggy tots, watery salsa, and generally unenthusiastic staff more concerned with turning the tables than providing memorable service. I suppose The Nook will survive on its location and fishbowl cocktails. We will look elsewhere for more sophisticated and appreciative surroundings.

I've been here a few times with friends and loved it every time. The buffalo tachos and The Peachtree are amazing. They also have fried Oreos with ice cream that make the perfect dessert! Def recommend this place!

They have specialty tatter-tot dishes.. idk what more you need to know about. It's culinary adventure

We walked here from our hotel in Midtown - nice easy walk. The service was excellent. We ordered salsa and chips and they were just OK but the "tatochos" were delicious and very filling. I had the "local lemonade" to drink which was very tasty.

So yum! A group of 7 of us went and we split a mango mojito fishbowl and it was so good! Definitely would get two next time! We split the buffalo chicken tatchos, taco tatchos, and the Cajun tatchos. The Cajun was my favorite! So good! Would definitely go again

The food here was great! I had the pork chops and my friend had an order of onion rings since he wasn't very hungry. The onion rings were gigantic! The pork chops came with green beans and mashed potatoes, all very generous portions. The chops themselves were incredibly well seasoned. The waiter remarked that the kitchen didn't have any chops prepared so they just threw them together because I'd told him I was starving. Super convenient location, too!
Lots Of Tots
Picked The Nook for our Ladies Quarterly Lunch Date. We went today, Saturday 7/18 around 12:45 and there was a 45 minute wait. So definitely try to get there before noon. They serve the brunch menu until 1:45, so we made it just in time to still order some breakfast items. I had the Loaded Pototchos, which although very tasty it was a little much for a meal. My friends ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, Salmon Omelette, and the French Toast. They all raved about their food with the exception of the French Toast. It was a little burnt on the bottom and the burnt taste overpowered everything else. I love that their Brunch menu is not just for Sundays. I would definitely go back.
