The food was great, the drinks were even better, and the atmosphere was amazing and effortlessly classy. I’ve been here a few times and It never disappoints.

We were a little concerned about some of the reviews we had seen in other places for this restaurant, but we had an excellent experience. The valet met us immediately, and whisked our car away with a smile. We were greeted by the owner at the entrance and shown to a great table near the pianist for the evening, David Slater. Our menus arrived quickly, and bread was served while we chatted with Mr. Slater. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the salmon. The french onion soup was a bit different than the usual beefy-broth version I've had other places, but it was delicious and unique. My steak was cooked as ordered and quite tender and flavorful. My wife said the salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the brussels sprouts were some of the best she'd ever had. The desserts were not on a par with the rest of the meal, but they were good. The other diners seemed to be enjoying their meals, and at least a couple asked for and received boxes to take home leftovers. It took a little longer than expected to get our check, but we didn't mind the wait as the atmosphere was pleasant and the music was excellent. Overall we had a great experience and would love to return for another special occasion.

We (wisely) dined here for our wedding anniversary and could not have been happier. 5 courses of exquisitely cooked food in an amazing high-end atmosphere. The Violinist was amazing and Valet was flawless as well. One of the top restaurants in a city with literally 10,000+ options. Worth every penny - 5 stars!

We went on Sunday evening ., Labor Day weekend, very attentive service, high quality food and warm environment.

I was in Dallas on a business trip and stopped in Old Warsaw for a quiet dinner with a business associate. It was an interesting experience. The food was of good quality and the service was very attentive. It's a dark space, with an old school feel. Wine list had many reasonably priced options. Cheers!

Very sad what this has become. Absolutely do not go. We got there and apparently the valet didn’t show that night so we parked underground garage that has no signage to get to restaurant other than that the elevator was only for residents. So that’s the first red flag. Walk inside and there’s a group of 10-12 businessmen probably staying at nearby hotel who seem perplexed as there is no host/hostess, no server, no manager and no bartender to be found. We walk and stand around for a minute before two ladies come and ask if we want a table for two. Sure. There is quite literally no one other patron at any table at all. She apologizes and said a lot of people including hosts, servers, bartenders, etc didn’t show up to work. I asked if any cooks did and she laughs as she I’m not sure she fully understood what I was saying. I get up and walk around to scope things out and the kitchen was dark, the door to the mens room was wide open and there was no one working other than the two ladies who seemed like maybe water filler/table runner types. I left without ordering. I’m not even sure this place is actually open anymore. Very sad as it had used to mean something.

This was a very strange experience. You drive up, they take your car, and you have to walk across the open air salsa or Tejano Disco area to reach the restaurant door. The nightclub and the restaurant share bathrooms which are located in the nightclub. Some of the restaurant patrons wore jeans and t-shirts, some wore prom tuxedos, 2 wore baseball caps, and two of us had on jackets. Being post-pandemic, the restaurant has to accept whoever walks in the door. But the ambiance of the Old Warsaw that you may be familiar with is gone. The kitchen is on their A game, with only minor missteps... mostly very good to excellent. The wait staff was untrained, the tablecloth at our table had multiple stains and it stayed that way, and we were never sure who our actual waiter was. We frequently had to flag different people down to get something brought to the table. Gone is a maitre 'd in tux, along with the four to five star table service. But there is still a piano player on Saturday night's playing The Familiar American Songbook, Sinatra, etc. I never felt relaxed. The meal was quite good, but the experience as a whole with the thumping Tejano music occassionally fighting with "Fly me to the Moon" on piano made for sufficient discomfort that we won't be back until the restaurant moves again.

First time to try the Old Warsaw, loved the atmosphere and location. Yes it is a small place, quaint. The food was delicious and the drinks were good. I ordered a glass of the house wine and didn't care for it so the waiter brought me something else, it was good. 2 couples, 4 people we took advantage of their special 3 course menu for $98 a couple. My steak and lobster were delicious, my husband had the sea bass also delicious. Other couple had filet and lobster and the rid eye. Everyone enjoyed the food. Would have like to had the cherries jubilee or banana foster but not available on the weekend. And the restaurant was a little too warm, other than that everything was great!

We came as a Meetup group of 21 foodies and most of us were disappointed both by the service and the quality of cooking! The Old Warsaw is famous of it's Beef-Wellington and as a Brit, I know my BW's! Sorry, to have to point out the obvious, but a BW is generally a steak, spread all over with patè and covered 100% in a puff pastry. I ordered mine Med-rare and it came cooked to perfection...BUT, a tiny smear of patè and almost raw pastry encrusting it...Disappointed, as many of us were. My Wife order the 22oz Bone in rib-eye, medium rare. First one over cooked. Second one blue asked for it just to retired for 5 mins, instead, they replaced a perfectly good steak with a third steak... not even close to looking as good as the second! THREE TRIES IN A STEAK HOUSE!! Not even so much as an apology for delaying my Wife's meal for almost 30mins! To add insult to injury our waiter actually tried to argue with my wife about the cook on the steak (Sackable offense in my book!!) This basically pissed my Wife off to were she had basically lost her appetite (after looking forward to visiting Old Warsaw for over 2 weeks!!) This is just wrong, especially when we were spending $70pp + tax + tip...drinks extra! ...And there was 21 of us at this table! TWENTY-ONE x $70PP + TAX + TIPS!!!! Then I discover that many people were OVERCHARGED for TIPS...like 30% for tips!! We are a group that eat often and well, this is GUARANTEED on our blacklist now...$2000+ PER VISIT LOST FROM US FOREVER! Having read reviews, looks like we are not alone in our views!

We started going to Old Warsaw 38 years ago. But boy has it gone very far downhill since they moved to their new location 9 years ago. We will not return. Our worst fine dining experience ever. I’m not sure how they stay in business. The owner is very awkward to say the least. Not caring at all about his customers. Hard to get any attention at all. Slow night, only 3 other tables seated in the two hours we were in there. So the owner was the waiter. He pushed the wine list at us immediately. (That’s evidentally where they make their major profit - off of expensive bottles.) We said we’re not sure yet, we had just sat down. So he walks away in a huff, taking the wine and cocktails list with him. We eventually got his attention 10-15 minutes later to get the drinks menu to order cocktails. Drinks were great. The appetizers were wonderful. Greek salad. Crab cakes. But meal went way downhill after that. In 40 years of traveling & dining, this was absolutely the worst steak ever. Prime ribeye. Not just typical marbling, but it over 50% fat? I didn’t realize when the steak arrived, since the table lighting was very dark, and the steak was covered in mushrooms, onions, dark sauce etc. Masking its appearance. It was truly inedible. I ate 3 bites where I could find steak meat - and huge clobs of fat. He’s using a very bad suppler for his meat. Shame on him. We’d been there for two hours already so I didn’t take the time to send the steak back for a redo. I should have. But it was our anniversary, and I didn’t want the commotion in front of my wife on her special night. Her salmon was very salted. Not good. (Maybe it was not fresh and he was hiding the taste. I don’t know.) Had tiramisu and strawberry shortcake for dessert. So dry (old?) that both it were inedible. So we left, never to return again. Read the other reviews about Old Warsaw. I should have read reviews beforehand - and then not wasting money and time here on our anniversary.

We are here last night and it was horrible. Very little English is spoken by the staff, there was one crappy wine list that actually had Beringer White Zin on it ! There was only one wine list that they had to get back to give to the other tables. The fish was NOT fresh and had been frozen, the escargot was out of a crock pot. We ordered it and it was delivered to the table within 30 seconds. It was terrible. Just an old gal, way past her prime. Don’t go here…you’ve been warned !

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at the old Warsaw the staff was attentive but not overbearing. My prime filet was cooked to perfection. My girlfriend really liked her Sea Bass. I would definitely recommend this place and I will head back soon.

Well, this was a major disappointment! A Saturday night with a large group in this "classic" restaurant, and from 6:30 to nearly 10 we were pretty much the only diners. The place looks classic and old world. Nice old rugs on the floor and comfy seats. Waiters all dressed up. The whole shebang. We were all seated and ordering drinks. Decent, but not great drinks. We ordered our meals. All we were offered was the prix fixe menu. On the bottom of that menu was a comment about how you could sub out anything from the à la carte menu. I had to ask 3 times to see that other menu, by the way. So I did sub out the appetizer...but with a bit a grief. The waiter seemed surprised that they offered it. He asked to see where it was written. He was still put out. He wouldn't allow the woman next to me to sub, but someone else argued and he "allowed" it. I had the goose liver pâté, which was pretty good for something that may have come from the supermarket. I was a bit taken aback by the addition of simple green grapes on the dish. I was forced to share the toasts with the woman next to me who ordered the smoked salmon. We ran out of toasts before we were done. My hubby ordered the avocado and lump crab appetizer, which actually was rather good. Hubby ordered the beef Wellington, and I the 22oz bone-in ribeye. Let me say, I had been looking forward to this meal for weeks. The Wellington was good and bad. The meat was perfectly cooked and tasted good, but the pastry was about a minute past raw. It would've had a soggy bottom, if it had had one at all. Barely any pâté on it. But my steak...oh man. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well. I asked for them to take it back and I got attitude. I was asked, "well, what did you order?", "medium rare", "what is this?", "....not medium rare?". He took it back. I tried to eat my undercooked fries and overcooked Brussels sprouts. 15 minutes later I got another one. Gorgeous and huge...and raw. The argument ensued. They took it back. Another 15 minutes past. Everyone else was done eating. I had lost my appetite. I got yet another steak - the crowd cheered and did a drumroll while I sliced into it - it was perfectly cooked aaaand I ate 3 bites. It tasted fine, but at this point I was done. Dessert: I got the crème brûlée, hubby the grand marnier soufflé. Mine inexplicably had a pastry crust. A nice crust, but not really a crème brûlée, especially since there was no actual brûlée sugar at all. So let's call it a custard tart, because that's what it was. At least mine was cooked. Someone else's was nearly liquid. The soufflé was eggier than expected, but nice enough....but ours was cooked. Another friend had a liquified one. Checks came, and they had hand-written "suggested" tips at the bottom. Tips added to the taxed amount, by the way. Ours was a suggested 25%, others were suggested 30% or more. Some people didn't get bills. Some got two. Just cherries on the top of a ridiculously bad cake. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that we were told at the get-go that cherries jubilee and bananas foster were not on the menu that evening just in case anyone wanted those - and several did. The food alone is reason for me never to return. But oh, that service....something akin to horrific due to their attitudes. What a disaster of a place!

We visited The Old Warsaw today and really enjoyed our experience. We ordered two steaks, a salad, beef tartare, and dessert — everything was delicious. The staff were very friendly and even told us a bit about the restaurant’s history, which made the visit even more special.

I have eaten at at Old Warsaw for many years. During the smoking years each time a cigarette was finished the ashtray was replaced. Water glasses were never empty. We sat at tables next to past and present goveners, Congressmen and celebrities. The dress code was jacket and tie. The piano and violin was a romantic and romantic normality. Taking friends there was never a disappointment. Some friends and I went to the new location last week. What a disappointment. No violin. The owner met us in a t shirt. Two women stood at the bar. I could not figure out what there purpose was because neither one of them could get a mixed drink made correctly. The clientele has dropped below red lobster. The last couple that came in looked like a pimp bringing his home. He never took his hat off. We left after appetizers. Instead of moving they should have just closed and let the legend die gracefully.

Horrible service for a holiday event.. They also did not refund our deposit and fighting to get that back. They tell you to contact a Cindi and send a text for a receipt but Cindi never answers the phone.

We're relatively young but love the old school menu and atmosphere. One of the very few places in DFW where you can get classics like Beef Wellington and Lobster Thermidor with a side of caviar. Live entertainment, usually a pianist, is a plus. Over the top service and quality and not very busy most nights.

I have lived in DFW for 26 yrs and never have been...Now I know why. Came here as our normal standby for events, Trulucks, was filled on reservations...730 reso, seated at 8..20 mins for the drink order (so we ordered the apps right than)...The apps were delivered on time (which was the only thing).salads were warmish and then entries were cold (and the steak was 2 levels undercooked)...The only part of the wait staff that was any good was the women giving refills. The waitstaff did not listen to anything and got numerous items wrong and delivered every course to the wrong person (were 4, 2 adults and 2 Teenagers)..I have to assume at one point this was a great place, but that time is gone.

Came last night with my family as this is one of our favorite steakhouses in Dallas. So flavorful and juicy, never disappoints. Accompanied with great bread and garlic butter on the side. The ambiance is a feeling you won’t find anywhere else. We LOVED the new menu, lots of choices and it was just so fun! We already know we’ll be back, but you should be here tonight!!

One time was our goto spot for anniversaries and big family milestone events. Now its moved next door and the ambiance is gone. It needs a complete makeover to bring back the glory it once was! Food still good but not quite as good. Maybe because Saied wasn't there and he is a big part of the experience.

A truly enjoyable lunch (we had skipped our lunch at work to come eat here) experience on late afternoon weekday. this restaurant delivers on all fronts -- from the beautiful restaurant space, welcoming service, and the entire menu. All the dishes came out beautifully prepared and plated. Would definitely return.

Elegant, upscale, classy , first class restaurant . We’ve been going there since 1997 and it’s always wonderful. The meals are really delicious. The portions are large enough. They are not huge like I lower class places.

Our Job hosted our company Christmas Party at Old War, the menu selections were great but the quality of some of the food selections was very poor. The service was also poor, the servers were not very friendly they seemed to be under staffed and service was rushed.

I have heard of this place nearly all my life and didn't think I would ever go there but they had a special. Unfortunately, I was disappointed especially with the service. They seemed to have one waiter for the whole room and then "underlings" who passed out the food but didn't know what we ordered. We had to ask three times to get our coffee and our dessert was almost gone by the time we got it. And to top it off the coffee tasted bitter and I couldn't even drink it. We shared a dover sole with shrimp which was pretty good and the lobster bisque was good but I thought they would be mouth watering. My dessert souffle looked pretty but tasted like runny eggs. I never went to the old location and I guess I really missed out.

Please do not support or sponsor this restaurant. Not sure how this place is even in business still the owner is the biggest RACIST in the world and if there is any high turn over rate I understand why. This man was creepy as on many levels, I had birthday reservation for this place. After he called me literally 5 times to confirm a booking for 15 and that we understood it was one ticket no split check. For the 5th time I’ve confirmed we understand. Why this man cancel my reservation a hour before my dinner. Like literally some of my party was already there waiting at the bar. This the most unprofessional place and I can’t wait til it close down. He is definitely not for us, it almost gave RACIST please support other and better steakhouses cause sir you and the old Warsaw not it. I’ll never attempt to comeback to this place EVER…

Stepping into the Old Warsaw feels like stepping into another time—you can almost picture Ross Perot eating at the table next door. The servers were attentive, the space was quiet, and the food was decadent. We especially loved the fried goat cheese.

My Family and I went to the old Warsaw restaurant Saturday night. The restaurant is lovely with white table clothes and black linen napkins. The wait staff does a good job making you and your companions feel welcomed and appreciated. I’m a huge fan of crabcakes and try them wherever I go. The crabcake I had at the old Warsaw restaurant was one of the best ever. The Crabcake had a nice crust on the outside, the ratio of crab meat to fillers was perfect and the sauce that it sat was creamy with a bit of spice altogether very flavorful. I had I tenderloin steak that melted in your mouth. The steak was perfectly done and well seasoned. It set in the middle of a brown mushroom sauce on the plate. I really enjoyed the mushrooms but didn’t care much for the sauce and wish they would’ve told me ahead of time that my steak would be in a sauce. The rest of my party love the sauce so perhaps it was just me. Other members of the party had the shrimp cocktail and the shrimp are huge and tender and flavorful. All the other members also had steak and everyone commented that their steak was tender and perfectly cooked including the bone in ribeye. I was a little disappointed in the size of the vegetables as they are not quite big enough to share but they are a little bigger than for just one person, guess I’m just used to Del Frisco‘s and expected the sides to be bigger. The warm rolls that were set on the table were delicious with a hint of rosemary in them as well. We had several desserts such as the bananas Foster, the chocolate mousse cake, and the apple pie,. The desserts were good but none of them were outstanding. Would I go back, absolutely! The meal itself was wonderful and the steaks are beyond compare. Enjoy!

We wanted a special place. Our son had proposed to his wife 15 years ago, and wanted to recall the event. We also wanted to be spoiled with a fantastic meal and service.

Old Warsaw was not what we had expected. It was certainly over rated and was over priced for the food we had. The desserts were certainly overrated.

I heard many compliments about this restaurant from friends. I decided to finally enjoy the experience myself. The staff was very attentive and professional throughout our stay. Our server, Santiago, presented our menus and offered a variety of cocktails. He was on time with refills and presented our appetizers, entrees and desserts in a timely manner. Extremely on point with making our experience comfortable and romantic. The manager, Ali, surprised my girl with a white rose towards the end of the meal with complimentary champagne being our first time there. I tend to enjoy a variety of 4 and 5 star restaurants, but felt a true experience here. The old genuine polish art and aesthetic displayed why this place has been here since 1941. I definitely will come here again to enjoy true ambiance in a 5 star restaurant. They offer free valet and have outside seating great for lunch. Good for business meetings and small or large groups. Pricing was reasonable for the quality of food and drinks offered. Thank you for a memorable moment. ENJOY!

Went for our anniversary and there were some good moments. Pacing of the meal was off with heavily dressed salad and baked Brie (menu said goat cheese) arriving at the same time. Lobster Thermidor was very good and my husband liked the Dover Sole. The soufflés were just ok.

My husband and I dined here for our 49th wedding anniversary which was mentioned when making reservations. Never acknowledged during dinner. Wait staff not friendly or very attentive. We were seated near entrance to kitchen. Traffic back and forth. We could hear music from restaurant and different music from kitchen! Sea Bass and Beef Wellington were mediocre. Pecan pie was tasteless as was the Grand Marnier Soufflé. The pluses were the valet guys, the pianist, and the attractive interior. We dined here years ago and loved it. Just nothing like it once was, and that's sad.

Just had a delicious dinner at Old Warsaw. I had the fillet mignon with mushrooms. I always have my beef well done and it was still incredibly tender and juicy. The sautéed mushrooms were wonderful! Wine and service were great. My friends had the beef Wellington and lobster Thermidor which they enjoyed immensely. Ambience was calming and pretty. A really wonderful dining experience!

I went to The Old Warsaw with a friend has been there often and had been telling me how good it was. The crab cake was excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection. I splurged on the delicious cheesecake and got a bigger piece than I could finish. The violinist was not there but the pianist was and he is among the best around and I found The Old Warsaw to be a really pleasant overall dining experience. I will go back!

This place was horrible! I only booked it because they offered cherries jubilee. I ordered dinner and was told they didnt have flambee that night! The filet mignon had no flavor. The outdoor patio looked nothing like the pics and looked like it had not been used in about 5 years.

There are so many great things to say about The Old Warsaw: First the venue is beautiful. The deep colors and woods make you feel like you are in someone's home. (Plus, it looks great in photos.) The "banquet hall" is spacious and can easily accommodate parties up to 120 people. The food! Our guests raved about the food; it was delicious and really added another layer of comfort and extravagance to our reception. The onsite coordinator, Monique, is fabulous. She met with us several times to make sure that our wedding was exactly the way we wanted it to be. On the day of, she made sure that the day went like clockwork. She truly went out of her way to ensure that our day was memorable and stress-free.

The Old Warsaw is a beautiful, unique, and affordable place to host a wedding (or big event!) Monique, the Events Director, was fantastic throughout the entire process - from the initial viewing to the special guest accommodations, she always replied promptly, is genuinely sweet, and created a vision better than we could have imagined. Our guests loved the food, and the outdoor space is by far the most stunning area, with a gazebo and great space for dancing or mingling. The staff was nice and everything went smoothly the entire evening. The location, in the heart of Uptown, is easy to get to and perfect if guests want to go out after. The owner was abrasive to some family members and a few friends before and after the wedding, which was not appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend the venue for it's beauty, affordability, and the chance to work with Monique, who will make planning the event fun and easy!

Food was really good and was presented well. The atmosphere was great and the decor was nice. The staff did a great job with service. We were very happy with the experience.

My husband took me here (original location) on our first date 10 years ago. Everything was perfect. The service the the food just everything about that visit was 5 star. We have gone back for almost all of our wedding anniversaries. Well last night we went to celebrate our 9th anniversary and we will be finding a new place starting next year. When we got there the vallet was nowhere to be found. We stood in the drive and my husband walked down to the sidewalk to make sure we were at the correct place. Finally they came to get the car and walk us in. We go there for certain menus items and the food is not the same at all. I might have to give up escargot forever, because they USED to be the only place that made it the way I liked it, but not anymore. Texture was fine but the sauce was not right. I felt rushed through the appetizer and salad. The Caesar salad had a strange taste it it. No hint of anchovy or garlic at all (theirs used to be my favorite also). I understand steaks being chared but this had a full on burnt taste and the lobster was tough. Once we got through with the main course, and I guess the sherbert to cleanse your pallet is a thing of the past. We ordered desert, my husband usually gets the Soufflé but it was so hot inside we were starting to sweat that he decided to go with the bananas foster with me; there was no way we were going to spend an extra 45 minutes for his to be made. Well the started to make the bananas foster off to the side and the guy at one point picked up the butter from the pan and held it up to his nose then took the pan to the back. He came back out and was going to start again, but my husband stopped him and asked what was wrong the first time. He first said the butter was bad, then mumbled something about cheese. Well we told them never mind just get the check please. We paid then my husband had to get up and pull the table out for me so I could properly get out of the booth. The piano is extremely loud and the tables are so close and crowded that the romance the old location gave off is gone. No more violinist which used to play " unclaimed melody" for us each time we came with no request from us. It was as if he remembered our first date and he played that at our table.I work at a florist and over the years I've recommended this place to many of the men that come in getting flowers for the first date. Now I feel horrible hoping that none of them listened. Well as I said already, we will be looking for a new romantic, formal attire, place to go next year. Oh and don't both to order the tiramisu as we got a piece to bring home. It is not true tiramisu just a slightly flavored cake like what you get at Kroger. Very disappointing.

Anticipated dinner for a week to celebrate my birthday. Poor service, actually no service. We were there an hour and a half and never received our meal. Started with a n appetizer, then we ordered salads and soup. I never received the soup until we asked again. When I did receive it, the soup was cold and watery. I ordered a white wine and they insisted I take the pink, sweet wine. When we left, the owner yelled at me and pointed his finger at me. I was worried about his very sweet daughter that worked there. She was so apologetic and tearful regarding our poor experience.

To food was quite tasty! We had everything from the lobster bisque to the filet mignon! The sides from the green beans to the Mac and cheese were very good as well! The desserts left to be desired however. But this is kind of where the good things about this nostalgic place stop! Not to mention they had a big screen TV in the bar area showing a sporting event! Not exactly what goes along with such an establishment. The service was odd to say the least. The server was very socially awkward and his delivery was lacking. We were celebrating a birthday which was noted on the reservation and no acknowledgment of that what so ever! Also, they really try to over market their bottles of wine selection. The three "recommended" California wines by the bottle were on "special" from 139 dollars down to 69 dollars! Those prices are outrageous considering California wine doesn't cost that much at all! Plus they did not offer or seem to have a wine list when asked. If you're looking for a more special restaurant experience I'd say go elsewhere!

An amazing evening at The Old Warsaw restaurant, delicious food, great wine and a superior service is what we got at a great value. strongly suggest this long standing corner stone of Dallas uptown.

We walked in empty should have been a sign expensive for meal and quality . Our son ended up getting sick afterwards disappointing to spend that much money and not be pleased. Won't go back

This is a terrific restaurant food was great, the service friendly, attentive and non-intrusive. We started with a wonderful lobster bisque and the Boston Salad. Both were great. For entrees we ordered the 22oz Prime Bone-in Ribeye with mushrooms and Brussels sprouts fairly priced the steak was flavorful, cooked perfectly, medium rare with this peppercorn sauce I will dream about and The Lobster Thermidor with asparagus and baked potato. The lobster was perfectly cooked. The ambiance of the place was magical and I love the live music. Great selection of wines, whiskey and cocktails. Dessert was delicious we order cherries jubilee and the Grand Marnier Soufflé. I will definitely recommend Old Warsaw is the perfect place for an intimate dinner, anniversary or date night.

I made reservations here for my husbands birthday. I had seen some bad reviews but thought we could give it a try because we were on a search for beef wellington. It started out strange with the valet parking situation. It's a very tight one way space and the attendant appeared out of no where....no uniform....no nametag, just random. We followed the signs into a sad looking entry way with tired furniture, but were still hopeful. The atmosphere was similar to a funeral home to say the least. We were finally greeted by a hostess who also became our bartender and eventually took our order. Tried to be positive because we were celebrating a birthday but this place is a downer. The other four couples dining that evening didn't look too thrilled either. The food was just okay. Presentation was dull, lifeless and sloppy! The guy who delivered our food never spoke and mixed up our steaks. We didn't realize this until halfway through. Check dropped off with no offer of desserts or coffee and seemed bothered that we ordered a piece of cake that was tasteless and not even grocery store quality. The caser salad could not be done tableside because the guy that does that didn't show up for work! Obviously par for the course. Such a disappointment from this establishment. First visit - Last visit!

The serve prime beef, cooked to perfection. You don't find this kind of quality food in most restaurants. We took advantage of their advertised 3 course dinners for $98.00 per couple. For appetizers we had lobster Mac and cheese and lump crabmeat on avocado. Main course was a 12 oz ribeye and an 8 oz filet mignon. Dessert was strawberry cake. They also had some seafood choices and other goodies. Highly recommend this restaurant! It's pricey but worth it. Look for opportunities on Social Living, Groupon, Dallas Morning News Guide, etc.

The appetizers and the pianist earned the two stars, but the rest of the food and the service were lacking. We don't drink so I ordered iced tea which I had to request a second time. My husband's steak was ordered medium well but arrived plenty pink inside. His loaded baked potato was cold since everything loaded in it was cold. I took a chance ordering something I've never had before with the Beef Wellington and I enjoyed it; however, three pieces of asparagus seems a bit stingy since I ordered from the $70 menu which is the top-end 3 course meal menu and I somehow doubt if I had ordered a side of asparagus that I would have only received 3 pieces. Finally, the Strawberry Crepes Suzette for two dessert prepared at our table wasn't very pretty or yummy so I'd say it's a high priced dessert you should avoid.

This place is amazing, I also had my wedding here with the love of my life. It has a lot of sentimental value for us. The pianist is world renowned and the food is amazing. It's a great place for a quiet romantic dinner with great service.. Highly recommended!

The Old Warsaw seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" that has its share of both great and awful reviews. If you haven't been in a while, I recommend giving it another try. It had been at least ten years since we were there last, and I remember the food being good but the wait staff being stuffy and unfriendly and trying to upsell us on the wine. However, when my husband asked where I'd like to go for a special Independence Day Eve dinner, I chose the Old Warsaw, after reading countless menus, because it was the only place in DFW I could find that had escargot, lobster thermidor, AND bananas foster. That is my dream meal. I wasn't disappointed. Our reservation was for 5:00 pm and we got there about 10 minutes early. The parking lot guy (more on that later) held the doors for us and delivered us into the restaurant, which was empty, and we were seated immediately. Everyone was more than friendly. We had the place to ourselves for at least 45 minutes. We ordered drinks and they were not at all stingy on the pours. Service was, as is European style, not rushed at all but not slow. We nibbled on the basket of bread (which was very good) until the appetizers arrived. My husband had both the paté and the goat cheese. I tried some of the cheese and it was yummy. But my escargot went above and beyond. The snails themselves were tender, not at all rubbery, and the sauce sent it over the top. Definitely the best escargot I've had (and I order it almost everywhere that offers it). The lobster thermidor also exceeded my expectations. It wasn't huge but I was glad, since I wanted to save room for the bananas foster. The lobster was tender and succulent and had just the right mix of lobster and mushrooms in the delicious cream sauce. I savored every bite. My husband had the ribeye, which he devoured so it must have been pretty good, too. The bananas foster was listed as being for two. I could have eaten the whole thing but am glad I didn't have that option as I'd have been as stuffed as the lobster shell. The dessert was prepared flambé style, tableside and it was the perfect wrapup to one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Even the coffee afterward was just right - strong but not too strong, and very flavorful. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, marred only by the difficulty of getting out of the parking facility due to some vehicles that were blocking the narrow drive. It took a while for the parking attendant (I won't call him a valet as he didn't park our car, merely directed us where to park) to maneuver them so we could get out. This caused my husband - who was driving - some frustration. I'm not sure how they could fix it, given the location and design of the facility. My recommendation for customers is to take an Uber, have a friend drop you off, or stay at a hotel that's within walking distance (these options would also allow you to have as many drinks as you want without worrying about it).

How is this place still in business?! The flavorless food, the non-existent service, and the lack of customer appreciation was aggressive. The person who claimed to be the manager was absolutely awful to us when we calmly let him know that we’d were absolutely not happy with our experience. There were no apologies or attempts to make us happy. I also paid the full bill, including desserts we never saw. Please, please do NOT go here!

In general, good atmosphere. My wife ordered salmon, which was burned. When shown to the waiter and manager, their only answer was to comp one of the desserts. That did not adequately satisfy the poor entree meal. We will not return.

The food was great and the ambiance very nice with piano music background. The decor stopped me from giving it a 5 star as it’s very outdated and feels like you’re sitting in the lobby and it was just thrown there at last minute. Staff was good until it got busy and then it dropped a little. The valet service was interesting. Some guy in jeans comes out of nowhere to park your car. A little weird but it works for them.

My partner and I unfortunately decided to celebrate an anniversary here. Big mistake! We ordered the lobster and steak, iced tea, and desert. We never left our table - both of us sat until done and then we thanked the staff and left. Dinner was OK with steak a little tough. They were not at all pleased that we don't drink and ordered tea with dinner (I compensate well for us not ordering wine). So where's the problem? Ali Heidari decided that he would make a very inappropriate comment, about us, to a business acquaintance of ours. Yeah Ali, we know many people in our business. Yeah Ali, I own and live in uptown and tell everyone what you did! Now to spare the owner any trouble in typing out a canned apologetic response, don't bother, as I'm the guy who came to your restaurant a couple of days later to confront you in person! We had nothing to hide nor did anything wrong so I was eager to hear from YOU! I then took you outside and sat with you awaiting an explanation. What I got from Ali Heidari was total BS exculpatory language that had nothing to do with our upset. Not to mention his bloodshot eyes caused by his heightened blood pressure when I corralled him and said we had to talk. Figuring this was his spineless approach to his royal screwup, I up and left. No apology from him or staff! To this day we have no idea why he would do such a thing against us. Well, the staff was compensated with their $60 gratuity and unfortunately the rest of our bill went to help sustain this miserable and tired place. On the day, I'm most proud to announce that I've steered more people away from this poorly run attempt at fine dining. Ali, your unsurprisingly dishonest Facebook 5 star menu rating should look more like your increasingly dropping Google 4 star rating, 3.5 Trip advisor rating, and Yelp 3.5 star rating as it's misleading and inaccurate but not surprising considering who I met when I sat with you. FORGET ALI HEIDARI AND THIS PLACE !!!

Our experience tonight, for my son's birthday, was the worst imaginable. Our dinner started with the weird valet experience where the owner of the restaurant is in street clothes parking cars. I was hesitant to hand over my keys!! It took a very long time for anyone to come to our table once we were seated. We finally asked for menus and eventually got them. After ordering, we waited for an incredibly long time for our food. I finally asked when we would get our food and the waiter very rudely and abruptly said, "You will get your food when it is ready". One of our party had to finally leave without eating after we sat there for 1 1/2 hours! While we were eating, we smelled what seemed like sewage. It was actually the steak of the diners behind us. They were there celebrating a birthday also and one of them was served a steak so spoiled that it smelled like sewage. The diners from that table approached us and asked how our dining experience had been. They were incredibly disappointed and were appalled by the meat that was served. The waitstaff couldn't have been more rude, slow, and disinterested. I can't say enough about what a joke this restaurant is. I am not sure how it stays open. We will never go back. The food was ok, but not worth the price. Horrible, almost comical experience. NEVER AGAIN!!

Amazing food, amazing environment, super friendly service! 10/10 recommend!! Amazing steaks, drinks, and desserts!!! -LT

My Mother really wanted to go back to Old Warsaw for her birthday since it had been redone. She loved it. The food was good, but service was slow. They seemed to disappear for extended periods of time. The new location/building is very nice. You do have to valet park.

The Old Warsaw is sadly a shadow of its former self. Service and food are hit or miss. It has become a transactional convention/tourist restaurant. Us locals just don't go to Old Warsaw for our special events anymore. We just don't want to gamble that making a memory ends up a nightmare. For those who look for the violinist we were told he was retired and not replaced. The valet was the only one that gave us good service

Had a reservation and waited about 10 minutes because first nobody was seating people and then they didn't have the table set up. Poor drinks. Mediocre service. High prices for very average food. Seems to depend on a long-time clientele. Was very sorry we spent the money for a special time and really felt it was wasted.

My husband I went here for a date night. The staff was attentive but subtle. The atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy. Had a nice meal and were able to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy each other’s company. Can’t ask for a better night than that.

I had made a dinner reservation via email 2 months ahead for our 40th wedding anniversary. I let them know the occasion and how special it was for me. I confirmed it the day before by phone. Our adult children came in from out of state looking forward to a lovely dinner. The limo dropped us off and no tables were available. We waited an hour and still no tables for 7 were available. It was so embarrassing standing there waiting. We had to leave at 9 as it was getting late. We went north to III Forks where we were treated wonderfully. Do not make plans there ever.

We have been here many times...At one time it Was " The Restaurant " in Dallas....There we 6 of us.... for a celebration ...I had Sea Bass with Sea Scallops ... but I would not have known by the presentation ...Most was wild rice.. and what was on top was overcooked , tasteless.. Scallops looked liked small mushrooms .. Others Steak with Crab Meat and Steak with Lobster... Steak tasted fine Baked potatoes were overcooked Dry ...There was not one thing that was served with a nice presentation .....and it really made me very sad,,and for the money spent...It was not and I repeat not what we should have been served ...Desserts ..another story Pecan Pie was so awful... Creme Brulee was not Creme Brulee ....again not a pretty sight..I so wish... with what we spent there ...It would have been that excitement it once was.....

Been a few years, and the difference was disappointing. The food was certainly good, but not great. The atmosphere was good, but not great. The service was tooooo snooty. Overall, they, in my opinion, haven't maintained their position in the Dallas market. And, I really missed the violinist. Just to staid for my taste.

Went to this nice little place with another couple, my first time there. Service was exceptional (shout out to Estephane) and the food was delicious and tasty. Atmosphere was very nice and had a live piano player. Only thing, it got a little loud at times, although the music was great. I will definitely go back my next time to Dallas!

We recently visited Old Warsaw Restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Very old fashioned service and accommodating and attentive to our every need. Old world service and very proper. The food was wonderful. My husband had a lobster/crabmeat appetizer that had a delicious and fresh taste. The steak with lobster was very good, but extremely rich and filling! Overall, good experience. It was nice to enjoy some elegant old fashioned dinning and enjoy the lost art of fine dinning.

Interior is dark and masculine. Wait staff was attentive, personable, and prompt. Varied menu, either a la cart, or either of two fixed price course offerings. Frankly, we don't eat red meat very often, but it was the best steak...very tender, flavorful, and done perfectly. The fixed price came with appetizer and dessert...all selections were very good. Wasn't crowded in a Wednesday night...piano was a nice touch. The wine recommendation was excellent! All in all, very nice, pleasant dining experience...and I appreciated it wasn't bright and loud as are many places.

Old Warsaw has been a Dallas landmark since 1948. Its new home in Uptown across from the Crescent on Maple Ave. is a warm and inviting environment. We were warmly greeted shown to corner table in the Dining Room off the Bar next to a fireplace. We felt secluded yet part of the scene. My wife and I opted for the Prix Fixe Menu #1 which offers great variety and value at $50 per 3 course meal. I asked our waiter about any wine specials and he directed me a surprising Stag's Leap Chardonnay for only $30. The wine was a nice complement to my Escargot appetizer as well as the Gulf Snapper Entree. My wife enjoyed her Lobster Tail with Crab starter and her 8 oz. Filet Mignon. We both ordered the Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert. We are definitely adding Old Warsaw onto our Dining Favorites list.

This place is unique, the owner Ali is hands on and a real character life you would find in a movie. The food and drinks are great but the best part was the ridiculously talented pianist.

If you are looking for a quite place just to get away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas, this is your place. It is an older crowd but my husband and I loved the quite setting. We found the food to be excellent and service too.

We came on a weekend. We all ordered steaks and they were delicious. I really enjoyed the piano player. He played a lot of classics. This guy can play anything. Overall we had a really good time. We’ll be back.

My in-laws made a dinner reservation for 7 pm on a Sunday. It was our first time and we didn’t know what to expect. We parked at a nearby garage, not realizing there was free parking under the restaurant, and made our way past a bar in front. Upon entering The Old Warsaw, the music softened to a tasteful selection of smooth jazz and the abundance of antique wood created an old-world atmosphere. Our group ordered three different meals from Menu 1 along with a bottle of red wine to share. Everything tasted delicious, but my favorite appetizer was smoked salmon, favorite entree was beef stroganoff, and favorite dessert was apple pie. The kitchen really knew what they were doing with the savory and creamy elements like mushrooms and sauces. Al, the owner, made sure that we were well taken care of, and my in-laws are strongly considering hosting a rehearsal dinner here. New and trendy fine dining establishments in the area may be drawing more of the young urban crowd, but I would recommend giving this place a try if you’re interested in something more traditional and romantic.

If you visit Dallas, You cannot miss this place! My 1st time here and will surely be back. The atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious and service was great!!! Will stay in Dallas for 3 weeks so we will definitely be back before we head back to Arkansas.

Dinner and service were both amazing! The crab cake just melted in your mouth and the steak was cooked to perfection and medium rare just the way I like it also can’t forget the rosemary potatoes! Desert was delicious key lime pie ! Definitely will be back.

We dined early, as seniors often do and were greeted warmly by Natchely, who seated us promptly and proceeded to offer fine, not overdone, service; additionally, our assistant waiter was attentive to our every need when Natchely was otherwise occupied. WE enjoyed a special menu option and were very pleased with the presentation and taste of our appetizers and entrees. With such good-sized portions we opted to take our desserts with us and enjoyed them at a later date. We did not peruse the general menu but overheard other guests make a variety of selections.

We hadn't been here in years and we brought our family here to celebrate my sons 23rd birthday! Couldn't have been better service, excellent food, and amazing pianist! We will be back soon. Such a great atmosphere too.

This place absolutely blew my mind! The food tasted delicious and there was no delay in getting it out to my family and I. The service was great, the staff was very kind and attentive. Definitely going back!!

We took our largest client to dinner, impressive from start to finish! Excellent French style service, excellent food and excellent atmosphere! When in Dallas don't miss it!!

37 years ago we went to Old Warsaw for our first anniversary. Last night we went back to celebrate our anniversary. It had moved a block down the street. It looked similar to the way we remembered. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient but not overbearing. Food was excellent and at a good value. 3 course meal options available. I had bone in ribeye. My wife had filet with lobster. Excellent meal. Good portions. Valet parking. We will go back.

My wife and I had dinner at Old Warsaw recently to celebrate her birthday. We had dined at the old location and thoroughly enjoyed it. She particularly liked the small touches but it doesn't seem that same level of service or ambiance has moved with the restaurant. She was looking forward to receiving a rose or at least an acknowledgement of the occasion however neither was forthcoming. I was looking forward to the violinist (the volume of the piano player hampered conversation). It seems the old violinist had retired an no one has been hired to replace him. On the other hand the food was good; we both went with steaks and sides. They were prepared to our order and souffles were delicious. Does it compare to the old location? Sadly, no. Does it shine above Morton's or Capital Grill (both a short walk away? Again, no. Old Warsaw has dropped a couple of notches so we will cross this one off our list for future celebrations.

We were not offered valet, told to park ourselves although they offer complimentary valet. We were given the wrong menus (we went on new years eve) they take our menus and several minutes later they bring us one different menu and one of the same ones they just took back. Wait staff did not communicate and service was slow and servers all looked like they hated being there, my food was not correct, everything was taking so long, I didn't want to send it back. There was not very many customers in the restaurant. I heard the customer behind me ask who he needed to give his valet ticket to! So, as we were leaving, I asked the man standing outside why were not offered valet and he said that he did offer us valet, just some people don't want to because of the virus, I told him I understood but he did not give us that option, he argued with me and was very unprofessional, after reading other reviews and seeing the picture of the owner, he was indeed the "valet". I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

The place needs an update. Our table was about 2 feet from the piano which was a bit uncomfortable. The piano player was fine but too loud where we were sitting. There were 5 of us and everyone's food was poor. The mashed potatoes that came with the filets tasted like instant potatoes. The filets were all over cooked. The lobster bisque was watery. The wait staff could not understand English when asked questions. The experience was just bad at a high cost of food. I definitely will never return.

We went to the Old Warsaw for a 91st birthday celebration for my mother in law and it truly was the perfect fit for that occasion. The food was wonderful, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is relaxing and entertaining at the same time. The valet was wonderful and gave each of us ladies a rose at the end of our evening. We will be sure to visit again upon our return to Dallas. We loved this restaurant.

I had not been there in 10 years. I had a delicious sea bass plate. I had a good salad first. My husband had the pate and a soft shell crab entree. He said it was delicious.

Second time we’ve been here for a birthday dinner. FANTASTIC service, GREAT food, UNBEATABLE value. Truly a forgotten Dallas hidden gem. Not near busy enough for how much we love it. Perfect celebration dinner or date night, could also see it as a great business dinner location. Very classic upscale vibe, without the upscale sticker shock.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary and Valentine's Day, we made our reservation for 6:00 PM, arrived on time and were seated after a short wait at the unattended hostess station. Seems like they only staffed one hostess on potentially the busiest night of the year. We each ordered a cocktail, a Cosmopolitan for her and a Vodka Gibson for myself. The same hostess that seated us and took our drink order came back about 5 minutes later with my wife's drink and news that they had no cocktail onions and could not make a Gibson. I ordered a Vodka Martini, then waited an additional 10 minutes for it to arrive. Both drinks were somewhat watered down. The menu was fixed this evening, $70 each. We ordered a Caprese Salad and an escargot appetizer. The salad was good, the escargot I would not order again. Instead of being served in the traditional manner, in shells with drawn garlic butter, they arrived in a small chafing dish in an overly rich cream sauce that was seasoned with nutmeg(?). The main entrees were lamb rib chops, with sweet potatoes and a vegetable medley, the medley was missing and mashed potatoes were in its place. An 8 oz. prime filet, was supposed to be with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetable medley, again the medley was missing. Not wanting to delay the process any longer we pressed on. Wine was ordered with our main course, a $34 bottle of Pinot Noir, that I know I can purchase at my local Total Wine shop for around $8. Dessert was included so we ordered two different cakes, each unremarkable, somewhat dry and tasteless, I doubt they were made in-house. A very unremarkable dining experience. With so many choices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I doubt if we will ever return.

The new location is the same as the old. Dark.. Dank.. Lacking personality, however, the food is solid. Good steaks and seafood. We were there recently at 7:00 on a Sunday night and were the only people in the restaurant when we got there and at 8:30 when we left there were 2 people at the bar. I'm not sure how they are going to survive serving 1 table of 4 for an entire evening. The service is solid. We all had the 3 course option and all were wonderful. (GREAT dessert soufflé and scallops)

Spent the evening last night at Old Warsaw and experienced the worst service ever in Dallas. People came after us and were served their meals and we were still waiting for our entrees. My sea bass was very good but my husband was served a piece of shoe leather. It was so tough. We sent it back and said we would like a credit for the meal which they failed to do. They provided a $15.00 credit to our bill. It was a joke!

So we joined friends for their anniversary - had a Thursday night special. My first trip. At 7:00 p.m., there were maybe 5 customers in the entire restaurant area, and all but a small part was dark. The front doorman (who seemed to be based in the small streetside bar) was in jeans and tennis shoes. The place had a bit of a funky odor. NOT what I expected. The decor was very nice and well appointed. The Wine list was great for French wines perhaps, but nothing to write home about for American wines, and not nearly enough information about each wine to allow for an informed selection. Pianist was good and fairly fun, but he didn't really seem to want to be there. The food was fine, and properly cooked. Service was acceptable. Overall, this storied venue was fairly ordinary to disappointing. I was expecting an A+ and got perhaps a C+. Perhaps they are between managers? None the less, it was worth the visit, if only to cross it off of the list.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at this Old School Bastion of Continental Cuisine. It was special and intimate. Service was attentive and professional. Our 3 Course Prix Fixe Dinners started with Lobster and Crab Meat, followed by Dover Sole for Two. Both tasted fresh, and high quality. We lingered over the meal with a fine bottle of Kim Crawford, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Very reasonably priced. We selected Cherries Jubilee instead of one of our favorites - Grand Marnier Suffle. No complaints, no regrets.

Ali made our 30th wedding anniversary very special! Between Ali and the piano player everyone worked so hard to make it an unforgettable evening. The restaurant is elegant with old world charm, and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend you give them a visit.

This place is very immaculate and spares no detail - food is amazing and vibes are on point. Great team and wonderful ambiance. Great for any occasion.

I can't speak for everyone but my experience was outstanding. I brought a first time date here in hopes to impress her and lets just say we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and I didn't have any complaints with the service. I recommend the Cesar salad and filet stuff with lobster.

Made reservation through Open Table. The restaurant had closed at least an hour prior to the scheduled time! Doors were locked and patio furniture dismantled. I had driven straight from the airport to dine and missed the opportunity to go to a few of the other restaurants that were still open! Clearly, there is something wrong with their processes. Owner/Manager heard me pulling at door and eventually came out. He stated he did not have my information “on his tablet”. He was kind enough to offer me a ride to my hotel but after a cancelled flight and a closed restaurant ...I was not having it. If you go, call and confirm they will be open. I get the feeling they really don’t respect their advertised hours.

I’ve been a steady customer for years, usually at the drive-through. The Quality of the sandwiches is analogous to those found in a high caliber Deli—with everything fresh, everyday. Thank you Dominick for maintaining your high standards, and hiring superior staff. The whole team is exceptional—Jackie & Evie deserve acknowledgement for their standout performance.

These great reviews are lies!! Do NOT trust these reviews. This restaurant is horrible - Everything about it from the moment you walk in you know something is wrong. On a Saturday night at 8:30 there were only 3 tables in the restaurant. We should have walked out then. If you think a steak from the grocery store is remarkable then you might be happy -until you see the bill. The courses went from tragic to absolutely offensive. The service is shameful - took 30 min to receive a beverage. The team has not been trained in upscale dinning. The waiter could not make a menu recommendation and does not know anything about how the food is prepared or the ingredients. PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE BOGUS REVIEWS of grandeur. The original Old Warsaw is gone and this place is an insult to the original. We could have gone anyplace but we fell for these damn reviews. . DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

While quite the place in Dllas in the past, this one is way past its prime. Hope that they breath new life into it as it was one of the greats.

We chose this iconic Dallas restaurant to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and what an evening! We had a little trouble finding the entrance, but once we were there, Ali took care of us by parking our car and ushering us into a beautiful restaurant. It was a slow Sunday night but our server was so helpful, patient, and attentive. The food was exquisite and the ambience was extremely intimate and romantic. We chose well! After our dinner we walked through the Kennedy Bar where many were enjoying a more relaxed area with a great TV and bar area. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion! We definitely plan to return.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Old Warsaw. I ordered the Old Warsaw salad and a perfectly cooked ribeye — absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the escargot and a ribeye as well, both prepared beautifully. The service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Our first trip back since Covid and our evening was PERFECT. Thank you, everyone who took such good care of us. The Prix-Fixe Menu is a bargain: hubby had prime filet and I had one of the two best Beef Wellingtons I have had in my life. Sides were perfect also. This is such a romantic place. There was a lovely family group celebrating a special event there. It is wonderful.

We hadn't been back to this restaurant in probably 40 yrs. although it was one of our all-time best memories from when we were young and visiting Dallas. It was so elegant back then and we were afraid it wouldn't live up to our long ago remembrances. Totally wrong. When we went before a stylish older lady delighted us with wonderful classical pieces on the grand piano. Now it a very talented gentleman who we couldn't stump with any request we gave him. The food and service is just the same high quality and maybe even better. We were so glad we took a chance and returned for a totally magnificent experience. We won't wait so long before the next visit.

The worst experience my wife and I ever have had was at The Old Warsaw. We go out to eat at Cap Grille, Bobs and other nice steakhouses often and wanted to try something different so we thought to give this place a try on our Anniversary. Big mistake. It was poor service from the start. Our waiter would not keep a job at Denny’s. Our filets were brought out and my wife and I both ordered medium rare. Hers was cooked correctly, mine was very medium and the meat was chalky and grainy and chewy like beef jerky. I kindly let the waiter know and he started debating with me on the cook of the steak. It is not rocket science to know the difference. He finally took it back and then he returns telling me the cook said that it was medium rare. I have eaten medium rare for my entire life and this was not it. I told him to tell the cook to please make a correct one. He begrudging left to pass my message along. At this point, I asked a hostess to please send a manager to me and she said she would. My new steak arrives and it is cooked correctly along with my baked potato. Our waiter just delivered it and it off and left. I thought he was going to grab the butter, cheese, chive and sour cream server which is served by waitstaff with one spoon so if you want butter, sour cream and chives they use the same spoon and transfer the toppings into each other and then go to another table with the same toppings server. In other words, there was sour cream in the bacon, chives in the butter upon presentation. My waiter did not come back for a good 10 minutes and I asked him would he bring me the toppings for my (cold now) potato. I also asked for his manager and he tells me there is not one. One person says there is one, one person says there is not one. Shortly after this, the hostess came to our table and said that she spoke to the manager (he is the owner come to find out) and he was next door in the adjoining bar and I could come to him! We were shocked. I have never been told that a manager won’t come to our table. It was almost amusing at this point how bad this was. I decided to go and speak to him mainly bc I was curious of who could be this bad at service. I am escorted to the bar next door called The Kennedy where he was doing credit slips for the evening. The “manager/owner” on premises of a $70-100 per head restaurant was dressed in a pair of jorts and a t-shirt. Again, this nosedive of an experience just kept getting better. I was waiting to be told “you’re on candid camera.” He saw me and just continued for a few minutes without saying a word. Not even “I will be right with you.” Once he found time he turns around and stands up and asks me if I like my steak medium rare to which I responded that that had already been established. He then angrily tells me that my steak was medium rare. He starts walking toward the kitchen and tells me to come with him so he can show me. I tell him I am not going to be given lessons by him about how a steak is cooked and to give me my check so we can just leave his restaurant of horror. We refused the dessert that was included in our 3 course meal and paid our bill in full. I do not care what his reply to this post is; read through more reviews and Al the owner is mentioned many times along with his rudeness. His restaurant’s service and food directly reflect his poor management as well as his lack of concern to provide a good customer experience and product. I would be embarrassed to work there and represent the experience he provides. Looking at the reviews, many people have a terrible experience here and many have had a bad run-Ins with the owner like we did. We all can’t be wrong. I implore you to go anywhere but here if you want a good meal and good service. I have never posted a negative review here about any business but this experience had to be shared to all those that may have a special evening or that have saved to treat someone you love to a great experience. There is a good chance you will be leaving very disappointed.

We come for the fixed price dinners and the food and service are always impeccable. The young lady behind the bar made the best apple martinis we've ever had.

Arrived 715 over 45 min for appetizer and another 30 for Entre...food was ok, service was terrible, had the escargo..wasn't even cleaned...sauce was same as crabcake... others had steak was ok...based on quality, service, and Price...it was a 0....Houston's, Del Frisco, Ruth Chris, Al Bernaise...10 times better, We won't return

Our family stayed at the cresent hotel and we strolled across Old Warsaw Steak house , our family enjoys fine dining that’s not a chain restaurant, the ambiance is really nice, the service was excellent, the steak was cooked perfectly ! The lambchops and beef Wellington was DELICIOUS! Our family had a great time here I would recommend.

Went here 38 years ago for our first anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Decided to return last year and were very happy we did. We now have decided to make it an annual anniversary destination. The atmosphere is amazing. Old world decor and ambiance. Impeccable service. Really special setting for a special event or occasion. The 3 course $99 couple specials are amazing value. Surf and turf, steak or sea bass offer outstanding value. All cooked and season to perfection. Highest recommendation for Old Warsaw. Atmosphere, service, cuisine and value! Not the stodgy place you might expect for a Dallas icon.

Despite being long time residents of DFW, had always wanted to dine here. My wife and I and another couple finally made the decision and acted on it. The food, service and room presence was special and worth of mention. Another wonderful note was the piano player on the grand piano making the perfect background for conversation and enjoyment. Recently moved to this location and loved the decor, rich hardwood beams and art. Service was impeccable. Menu provided numerous options ala carte or 3 different price fixe options, 50/77/98 Additionally, on the first two, if what you want is not on the list but is on the ala carte, you can substitute. So we all selected off the 50 list (app/entree/dessert) App's ranged from smoked salmon, capers, cream cheese, onions egg yolk, French Onion Soup, Baked cheese, and Escargots. All were stellar and perfectly prepared. Entrees- Filet Mignon, baked potato (all trimmings served) ; Red Snapper with crawfish cream sauce, Duck , and Rib Eye and lobster tail. Desserts- Chocolate souffle, Key Lime pie, Dark Chocolate Mousse cake Evening was one we all enjoyed and to be remembered, Definitely worth checking out all aspects and the new location. Also has outdoor dining which could be another great opportunity and different experience. Another noteworthy option is the dark and cozy bar adjacent in the same house/building. I say go for it. As we were leaving the owner manager walked us out to valet, was engaging fun and worth going by just to meet him.

This is the first poor review I have ever written about any business. I know how hard it is to run a successful business so I give every place the benefit of the doubt. What can I say, this place really disappointed us. My wife and I have known about this place for years, and in years past we always heard good things, so we decided to treat some friends to dinner here for Christmas. Big Mistake. From start to finish it was poor to say the least. Lobster bisque had to be sent back because it was cold. We all ordered our steaks medium to medium rare, what we got ranged from raw to well done, no consistency whatsoever to the way the steaks were cooked. Sides, all cold? We are not picky diners and I can't remember the last time I had to send something back but frankly EVERYTHING they served needed to be sent back. It is ridiculous that any place would send out food that was barely even warm. The sides were a joke and the waiter's suggestions were less than helpful. He recommended mushrooms instead of brussel spouts, OK great I love mushrooms, except when we got the steaks they were already covered in mushrooms, no need for side of those. Lobster mac and cheese, Stoufers with a hunk of overcooked lobster. Garlic mashed potatoes, sorry, just lumpy mashed potatoes, not even a hint of garlic. Just writing this review is more trouble than this place deserves now that I reflect back. Wish we would have done some research before wasting our money. Obviously will not be back but will go out of my way to make sure friends don't waste their time or money here either.

We went ironically, as we knew this restaurant as an old stalwart of Dallas, almost to a fault and to its detriment. To our relative surprise, the food was excellent, the wine was good, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The classics are well executed, and worthy of attention. The restaurant feels from another time, but in a charming and earnest way, not in a tired or dated way. It’s certainly best enjoyed in a certain kind of mood, but it’s somewhere we will return to enjoy good upscale dining in a unique and entertaining atmosphere.

Amazing food. Vibe was vibing and the piano player was great! Drinks were strong. Opted for the prix-fixation menu which I felt was a great deal!

Sad experience. Family made a group reservation, well in advance, for 13 people. Upon our arrival OW had not made arrangements for us and the staff was not interested in doing so. We left on principle.

this place is awesome from the moment you walk into the place. It feels like your taken back to a bygone era of classic people, dinner and drinks. the Hostess was very friendly and so were the waiters. The food was very awesome, we had the filet mignon and the pork cutlet stuffed with crab. It was a very beautiful evening they had piano music going as well. Good job guys, excellent food and service!

We had a sumptuous dinner for forty friends and family to celebrate my cousins Nifty Fifty birthday and everyone was very happy about the food and the elegant dinning room we where allocated in! Grand fireplace, beautiful chandelier, very nice table setting( my cousin did the decor for the five tables) and great staff. The bar was just fine and the piano music was wonderful!

Visited the Old Warsaw tonight, food was soo delicious. I got lobster thermidor with the French green beans, and then had a chocolate mousse cake! I was already half way into the lobster, and all the plating was beautiful! (Despite the picture of my partially eaten entree haha). Everyone in my group of 4 very much enjoyed their food too. I have to come back to try their steaks; my friend said the flavor was to die for. The service was great, we never felt rushed or bothered during our experience here, and the bartender also made some really great drinks. I had the best Manhattan of my life. The wine list is also great, you can find some fantastic wines, that are cheaper than probably anywhere else; ask for their wine list! The pianist is so pleasant, and very knowledgeable of music. There is a complementary valet service which is so cool, it’s hard to find in uptown Dallas, haha. I loved the pace of Old Warsaw, I really felt I was in the right place for fine dining. If you enjoy uniqueness, you will love Old Warsaw. No complaints, thank you for a wonderful night! I will definitely be back to try more out!

The Kennedy Room is a small classy bar decorated like an English pub complete with fireplace and overstuffed chairs. The drinks were quite good and the small staff (2) gave excellent service. It's a quiet and comfortable place to relax. You also can order food from the Old Warsaw next door.

A very nice restaurant so don't expect to get in and out in an hour. Our service was excellent. We started with a salad, then had the 8 ounce fillet with a loaded baked potato and finished with bananas foster. Everything was very good.

For years I had been invited to pharmaceutical dinners at the Old Warsaw but never had the time. Today I went to celebrate Valentine's Day with my family who gets together once a month to socialize. Apparently, in the past, valet parking was complimentary. but when I got there, I was hit with a $10 charge to park. It was no big deal as most places in the area charge to park. I thought the food was pretty good, but the deserts had been apparently prepared much earlier in the day or the day before and were crusty, but not in a good way. They have a set menu with a set price of $75 but have a reasonable number of options to choose from. The men's room was out of paper towels and my wife informed me that there was no hot water in the women's room. As we were eating, I noticed a man who was repeatedly in the way of other customers who were trying to move about the facility and seemed to care little about it. After a while, I realized that he apparently worked there. The atmosphere was not rushed, and we eventually had to ask for the check. The guy that I mentioned earlier brought it to us and when I asked if it could be split, he said that he would split it evenly amongst the four couples that were at our table. I realize that it is a pain to, do but if IHOP can do it, you would think it would be no problem for someone who would be receiving a significant tip. I was not thrilled with his answer, but I explained that the bill was not itemized so I had no way of knowing how to compensate my other family members so I would need an itemized bill. Not to mention, I like to know what I was charged for each item so that if I return in the future, I have a better idea of what to expect. Unfortunately, he said that he would not. I asked to speak to the manager, and he stated that he was the manager. I expressed my feelings that he has a poor way of running a business. Each party paid an equal portion and we compensated with other members of the family who did not consume as many extras as we did but it was all done based on no actual data. I do not typically read reviews before I go to a restaurant, but I was curious to see if anyone else experienced a similar issue. I found that the present owner is not the same as it was when it was a quality restaurant, and he is known to be a bit of a jerk. Apparently, he has a hard time keeping staff and the business is suffering. Hopefully others will find this review helpful and take their business to one of the thousands of good, upscale restaurants in the Dallas area.

The food was excellent and the service very good. While the restaurant was not at all crowded on a Sunday evening, the ambiance lovely.

My wife and I were members of a Mother's day gathering for lunch, eight adults and two children. Even with a tabled group this size, the service was excellent from cocktails to desert. With different combinations ordered around the table , courses were served timely and all were pleased with their dishes. My crab cake appetizer, then pan seared flounder, followed by fruit/apricot tart desert was excellent.

I visited the old location, the menu that is offered is good it is just not exceptional for the price that you would pay. I think you can get a better experience in a different restaurant, the menu is not unique then you would find the same dishes in a different place for sure

Very romantic place. Wood paneling everywhere. There was live music on Friday, the night we went. Try the lobster thermidor. I also had the avacado crab salad, also very fresh. Good negronis and old fashioned cocktails too. And we had Cherries Jubilee and a Soufle. Yummy!

Went midweek for a combo birthday/promotion dinner. While somewhat empty, this gave the servers more time to make this a special occasion. Chateaubriand was outstanding as was the wine. Took advantage of great half price wine-one of the best chardonnays have had in years. Service was outstanding. Piano player great-my wife loved his style and songs. Old style restaurant that is perfect for special dinner/night out.

I’ve been coming to the Old Warsaw for years and truly believe it is one of the best restaurants in Dallas! My favorite entree is the Sea Bass with vegetables. On occasion I splurge and get a dessert, which they knock deserts out of the park. Check out the cheesecake!

My husband and I celebrated Christmas Day having brunch at Old Warsaw! It was delightful. The dining room was quiet enough that you could enjoy at conversation. The service was outstanding. The food and choices were lovely. It was a price fix menu, with two choices....and we selected Menu II, and it did not disappoint us. The portions were very good. Everything we ordered was correct, and came to the table while it was still hot from the kitchen. The waiter, Santiago, was attentive, but did not rush us to order. We enjoyed mimosa's, and then had our "starters." The beef wellington was outstanding. We have been going to Old Warsaw for many years. Have celebrated birthdays, and have attended the Christmas Brunch. A very special place. Don't worry about parking, the valet takes good care of your car, as parking in the downtown area is sparse. My advice is "try it, and you will like it."

It had been a while since being at the original location. Their new location is literally about next door to where they were. The setting is intimate and has that "old world" feel. Nice touch with a live piano player setting the mood. The food was amazing as one would expect from the Old Warsaw! I had the filet with creamed spinach and a loaded baked potato. Very tender filet and the creamed spinach literally melted in my mouth! We also had French onion soup which was very nice. For dessert, we had pecan pie and tres leches cake. The pie was one of the best anywhere. This is a wonderful place for that romantic dinner or any special occasion where you want to impress you companion(s).

We have been going to Old Warsaw on our anniversary for many years. Service is good but food not so much. Lobster was very tough. Cake tasted like it was bought at a grocery store. Soufflé was tasteless. Not worth the pricey cost. Entertainment was excellent. Very disappointed this year.

Visited Old Warsaw during Restaurant Week in Dallas. Located only 3 doors from the previous location so easy to find. Food wonderful, service "on point", and atmosphere as expected (feeling of Europe). We especially liked the salmon and steak - afterwards walked a few feet to "laid back" bar attached to the restaurant. Fun!! Watched football games and visited with fellow diners! Would recommend a try plus they have outdoor bar and dining area.

Good food, nice wait staff. Ladies got a rose after the meal. Piano player throughout dinner. I enjoyed his selections.

We had an amazing evening! Our first time to eat here but definitely not the last. It was the perfect dinner experience in every way. If you have not tried it, you are missing out on a true dinner experience.

We first ate here for our second anniversary in 1999 and it was superb. We went again about 5 years ago and had another great experience. We live out of state now and visited tonight while back in town. Tonight was a terrible experience. The bass from the bar outside was loud and could be heard over the inside sound system. We felt ignored much of the time starting when we walked through the door. I ordered a cosmopolitan. It tasted like straight alcohol with a splash of cranberry for color. The bottom had an olive. I’ve had many cherries in Cosmos, but never an olive in a (supposedly) sweet drink. I ordered menu 2 and it clearly said that you could substitute anything from menu one or the a la carte menu so I asked for creamed spinach instead of asparagus. My plate arrived with asparagus. I told the server (different from our waiter) that I had creamed spinach. He argued with me and said it did not come with spinach. I was so stunned at his abruptness that I didn’t continue to make a scene. We asked for a wine menu. He quickly brought a menu and it was ten minutes before someone picked it up and didn’t ask us what we wanted. It appeared that there was only wine by the bottle and not by the glass. It didn’t matter at that point, because we had finished the meal and decided not to order anything. My sea bass was good, the crepe brûlée was mediocre. My husband has allergies to certain kinds of fish. It appears that he possibly was served fish other than what was on the menu because we made it about 6 miles away from the restaurant before he had to pull over and get sick. Tonight ruined what good memories we have of past dining at this restaurant.
Current Review of Old Warsaw
Just wanted to send in a current review for old Warsaw. I have wanted to try old Warsaw for quite some time. After looking at the reviews on yelp, I was very hesitant to try this restaurant out, but most of the reviews were 1 to 3 years old. I was persuaded by some close friends to at least give it a try. I am so glad We did. We had one of the best Dining experiences that I have had in a long time. I have traveled to Europe many times, and have experienced exceptional service at some great restaurants overseas. This is what I have come to expect from fine dining. Old Warsaw had a great ambience, the restaurant staff was very attentive and attuned to how we wanted to be served. We wanted a nice relaxing evening without being rushed. The piano player was magnificent and could literally play any piano song that you might like from “Moon River” to “The Piano Man” The value was exceptional. I love personal attention from owners or managers at restaurants. The owner Al came up to us and introduced himself to us to ask us how our dining experience was. I have to say our dining experience was exceptional and not at all like the reviews that we saw on yelp. I would give this restaurant 4.5 stars out of 5. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a great dining experience. I personally will be coming back another time to celebrate another special occasion Thank You to Al and his staff for a fantastic and special night. Truley a very enjoyable and memorable event.
