This place was very cozy. We really enjoyed ourselves and our server was funny and welcoming. Drinks and food on point/excellent.

This is my new favorite sushi place not named Umi and its close to home in Brookhaven. Two of us went and we got three sushi rolls each because honestly we are used to them being small in so many other places. Not here! We were stuffed. Starters: Calamari They were amazing. Lightly battered, seasoned and fried. Served with a teriyaki type and sauce and a wasabi creamy sauce. Look I don't really like wasabi, but this sauce was so good! Sushi: Chanel Replica.. The mango and creamy wasabi really add some great flavor to this roll. This one was my favorite. Korean BBQ... I don't remember the name of this one and it isn't on the online menu, but it looked freaking delicious. Between the presentation and the faces of yummy feelings my partner was making I hope they keep this around. The #selfie.. This was at its best when I took the lettuce off of it. It added an unneeded flavor profile to the roll. Yami Zaki (sic) this one isn't on their online menu.. I hope it's still there when you visit because I could eat 3 of these. Double decker.. This is big, bold and delicious. The Volcano.. Your mouth may catch fire, but it'll be delicious fire. TFC... A play on the KFC name. I don't eat chicken, but my partner is STILL talking about how good this was. We had some of their seasonal cocktails and they were fantastically made with great balance. Makes me excited for what they bring out for summer. This restaurant will be on my frequent visit list.

Everything on their menu was fresh and delicious. Lots of eclectic items. Be sure to ask about the UN sushi roll - it’s not on the menu, but is a combination of lobster tempura and wagyu beef. Absolutely incredible. The cocktails are delicious and the patio is great to enjoy when the weather is nice!

The food was absolutely awful. I had chirashi sushi for $30. The fish seemed to be OK but it was served on a platter/bowl, the rice was squished and flattened and some sort of awful powder was sprinkled on top. It tasted a little smoky. I have no clue as to why anyone would add that to the rice. Next up, dessert. Green tea creme brulee. Just looking at this thing would make you want to toss your cookies. First, someone had made the creme brulee earlier and stuck it in the cooler so the burnt sugar on the top was soggy. Some frozen raspberries were added. But, and this was so awful it was almost wondrous, the creamy stuff was pea green. Yep...pea green. That's something you have to work on to make it that disgusting. Kind of reminded one of the remains of a sinus infection. All this disgusting food for $50. No bargain. I will never, ever go back.

No wait, great service and great food! A bit pricey but it was delicious. I would definitely eat here again.

Delicious experience from start to finish. Sat at the bar and ordered the sampler to let the Itamae do his magic. Copious amount of food which was a value for the $45. Miso soup was good, but not great. Spicy tuna roll was almost too spicy but very good. The sashimi and nigiri were the stars as they should be in this restaurant:l. Will definitely be back!

First trip here was for a granddaughter's reward dinner for being rated best behaved in first grade! Our granddaughter likes sushi and chose this spot which is Korean operated but features traditional sushi items with a Korean twist. The staff was helpful and attentive and all items arrived as ordered and in an orderly progression. We tried various rolls including one that featured soft-shell crab and another featuring Korean short rib meat. The poke salad was great as was the miso soup. We will return.

The service was excellent. The Las Vegas roll was delicious! Shrimp tempura roll was very good and priced very reasonably.

The 'Signature' sushi dishes are incredible! Great mix of unique ingredients in each of the rolls - tempura, mango, avocado, and more. The wok-stirred edamame with garlic parmesan and herbs is a must-have, and the brussel sprouts with yuzu sauce was truly a delight.

The food was great no doubt but what made our experience was the at-ease, comfortable, attentive and brutally honest server...He actually kept asking us during each course what we liked as if he was taking note for a poll he was taking.

My wife took me here for our anniversary dinner, we just moved to Atlanta at the time and we have our favorite sushi place In Chicago but this one for some reason seems appealing and we were right, This review is mostly about the service, the food and drinks were great but we came across our selections by the waitress advice, I think her name was Ashley and she was training another waitress also named Ashley, well they did a super great job! she advice us on great roll selections and drinks, she let my wife try 3 different wines before ordering and she was very attentive and polite without being overwhelming or intrusive... over all we have a great anniversary dinner at The One...

we went to their sister restaurant and saw alot of the saw combinations, but did not realize it till leaving for the first time, and the server had a Katana t-shirt on. Their combinations for rolls are varied enough to keep us coming back week after week. I also love the tofu and mushroom hot pot. we have had any roll on the menu if it DOES NOT have cream cheese. so we have hit about 3/4 of the menu in 3 visits.

My wife and I checked this place out on our short trip to Atlanta. We loved the food (fried rice and 2 different sushi rolls) but what made a good meal a great meal was the awesome service! Not only did our regular waiter do a fantastic job with us but we were doted on by other staff members as well (not smothery...just cheerful and helpful). Our waiter introduced us to Hitachino Nest Beer that was awesome (clean and citrusy) check one out (not cheap though)!! This restaurant is in a neat neighborhood...many people were out having fun and eating at this restaurant and a few others that are close by. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Totally disappointed about the ratings so far on TripAdvisor. Probably the freshest sushi in Atlanta, and I'm no newbie. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Service has never been poor. Fish is always flown in within a few days. Can't say that about most places in land-locked Atlanta. Try it; you won't be disappointed.

Oh my... Husband picked this restaurant. It was definitely a great choice. Pink Lady was a delicious drink (for me). Our smoked duck appetizer was tender and seasoned perfectly. We both picked sushi apps, and thoroughly enjoyed them as well. Then followed it with a shared shrimp fried rice, which taste better than I could've imagined. And lastly since I we finished it off with the brownie and ice cream dessert. Will be returning

Very creative sushi that is well made. Busy place, but the staff still managed to be friendly. If you are tired of the same old sushi then this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

From our server to the managers checking in on us..the service was amazing. The variety and diversity of the menu stood out as well. You do not just have to eat sushi. The drinks were amazing as well.

Enjoyed great Sushi at this place as I traveled to see a play at the Strand Theater. Waitresses were very nice and observant of our table. I appreciated the attention given to us. I have no complaints and will visit again. Be careful-upon entrance those are some heavy, beautiful doors to open.

I love the pot sticker appetizer, the tuna jalapeño shots and of course all of the sushi. Every meal I've had here has been great. I prefer the patio seating but the atmosphere is nice inside as well.

The roll selection was not great and the portions are very small, especially for the prices. This really wasn't anything special and very expensive for what you get.

the sex and the city roll is one of the best rolls I have had in Atlanta! I love this place! Its a great place to go with friends or on a date!

Seriously, best sushi I have ever eaten! We got sushi carry out from here back in 2013 and it was so good that 3 years later on our next trip to Atlanta we made it a point to go back. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. Our waiter was nice and very helpful with suggestions. We got the Double Decker, The One Volcano Roll, and a Philadelphia Roll. All were amazing!

Had a very enjoyable dinner here. The food was excellent and service really good. It is a casual place with no tablecloths, hence the prices are not too high. The appetizers and the sushi were really excellent and the portions were very good size. Will definitely come here again

Maybe I'm spoiled, but when I go to what I think is a traditional sushi restaurant, I expect a nice cut of fresh fish on top of appropriately flavored sushi rice that takes me two bites to finish. This restaurant has some very nicely flavored sushi bites, with fresh fish on top. However, the rice is missing the sushi vinegar flavor and the size of one nigiri is half the size I've seen and eaten elsewhere. The way I figure I'm paying twice as much for these little pieces of sushi. There is also a large number of sushi pieces and rolls that feature cream cheese. Nooooooo! Too American, for me, anyway. I don't want fillers, I don't want tuna salad called 'spicey tuna' in a sushi roll; I want a solid lump of fresh fish, authentic Japanese seasonings, and well flavored rice. The are definite pluses for The ONE Sushi +: The decor is modern, with hand fabricated wildly abstract lighting, art and decor; The yellowtail shooters are delicious - shot glasses with thin slices of hamachi, a kick of sriracha and other well balanced spices and ingredients. Attentive, energetic servers Interesting mixed drinks

We visited The One on a Tuesday night and it was busy but not crowded. We were able to enjoy our conversation. Service was great and the food was very good. Will definitely return.

I was surprised at the quality of the sushi. The service was very good, but the sushi was just OK. It was nicely presented, but not terribly tasty. We had four rolls among the three of us, and all were disappointed. The salads were good, the sushi not so good.

My husband and I had a date night at this restaurant and we loved it! Our server, Anna, was one of the best we ever had at any restaurant. She went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and made some great suggestions for food since it was our first time. We are sushi lovers and have a hard time finding a good sushi place and felt like we found a great place for our future sushi cravings. The drinks were great and the food was so fresh and had a great taste! The restaurant is small and quaint and the vibe is really nice and fun. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a good place for a date night or a fun out with friends.

The hosts and waitress were very cordial. The doors are so very hard to open so have your muscles ready. The mule drinks are awesome (Tennessee/Georgia). Double Decker sushi rolls are superb. A revisit is a must.

We came on a Wednesday night with a last minute reservation via Open Table. We decided to try out this new place in our neighborhood and use the Scoutmob. The interior is super cool and trendy and I loved the art. However, the acoustics are terrible and I found it super hard to hear hubby over the restaurant noise. Mercy. Service was terrible - multiple items forgotten and tables served way before us (even though we arrived well before them and they weren't busy). The tables around us also experienced the same mix-ups so I know it just wasn't us. The sushi was okay, but it isn't on par with the other amazing sushi restaurants within a 5 mile radius of the restaurant. Impossible-to-hear acoustics + slow service + okay sushi = a "meh, I've experienced better..." two star rating....

This is NOT your typical sushi.Trendy (this entire neighborhood is), a bit pricey but the creative deliciousness on a plate is worth every penny. We shared several dishes and nothing was bad!

I have gone for dinner three times and the sushi really is "fun" and unusual. What made it special was the fun attitude of our waiter. The menu included everything from traditional sushi to pork belly kimchi buns. Definitey on our list of "regular" go to places.

For the money you pay you want really good sushi. Probably the worst I have had anywhere. Location just hands this place business.

The food was delicious and fresh. The server was very helpful in making suggestions as this was my first time dining here. The only notable shortcoming was that my water was not refilled in a timely manner.

I'm not an advanced sushi eater. I order just the basics. So I couldn't tell you if this is a creative place or not. But I can tell you that the sushi I've had has always been amazing. I love the spicy Picante roll. And they did some kind of tuna/jalepeno appetizer that's fantastic. I always sit at the bar and the service is always exceptional. They have an outside patio area as well.

Very quiet place. Sat at the bar. Joanna our waitress/bartender was extremely helpful on our third trip to eat sushi. The Double Decker roll was perfect. Best fried rice I've ever had. The Brussels sprouts and asparagus apps were very good with excellent dipping sauces. Very glad we came. Wonderful atmosphere. Not loud.

Wow! Fantastic find for us! Delicious food! Fast preparation! And the best server I have had at any restaurant any where!! Ask for Sam! You will not be disappointed! And the asparagus fries are a fantastic way to start any meal!

My wife and I went here on a recommendation of a friend and I can tell you if you love sushi this is a gem tucked away in Brookhaven. From their exotic drinks to some awesome appetizers we knew our forthcoming sushi rolls would be top notch. We started with the Taiwanese Fried Rice which I could have eaten three more orders of it was that good. Their yellowtail jalapeño shots were killer and Spicy Tuna on the Rocks was outstanding. Do not leave without getting the One Volcano which they use lump crabmeat - no imitation here. If you want great sushi do not miss One Sushi +.

Arsa smoked this beautiful toro sashimi for us tonight. Heavenly Fish!! Delicious Slow Braised rib appetizer to start. They fall off the bone. Cheers!

One of my favorite things is a Yellowtail Jalapeno dish and they presented it in such a cool way! They have a lot of other fun roll combos and everything was delicious and super fresh! Totally worth a trip...their lychee martini is also quite tasty!

WE were disappointed that the items which we ordered were not as good as at or first visit. Definitely not consistent preparations.

The Best Sushi We have ever had!!! To be honest we have tried a few times sushi in different places but never liked it until we gave it a try at The One Sushi +. The sushi is always fresh and taste great! Their appetizers are awesome. The service is exceptional! Great atmosphere! It looks like that owner thought about everything there- from the glasses to the deserts that are amazing! We recommend it period!

Coming from Miami, where sushi places are on nearly every block, I'm kind of hard to impress, but this place gets a real WOW! Try the jalapeño shots! I could have made them my dinner…. Also, every roll we ordered (and I think we ordered most of them throughout the evening) was amazing. They believe in big flavors here! Presentation was beautiful, service was excellent, and the vibe was very cool (as you would expect for the area.) However, note that this is not going to have the typical, well worn, japanese fare. You will not find a California roll here, and I think that's a good thing.

My wife and I wanted to try some sushi in Atlanta and we have this place a try. Loved it!!! We especially liked the Chanel Replica roll and the green tea crime brûlée. Though the place was really busy in a Sunday night, the service was fantastic. The servers were highly attentive and amazing at the timing of our various plates/orders. The menu was unique, prices were right, and service was fantastic.

Our first visit and we will be back. Great sushi with some creativity and original small plates and very fresh. Glad to have discovered this restaurant and in our neighborhood. Brookhaven is hot!

We are sushi snobs; not big fans of all you can eat, rolls, rolls and more rolls, quality fish is what its all about! This restaurant has nice quality sushi & sashimi and creative rolls. A wonderful find! Great to see our niece and nephew as well. Please follow us on IG @travelwinefoodie

We had the Eggplant fries, Taiwanese fried rice, edamame with garlic Parmesan cheese, bang bang shrimp, bulgogi beef sushi. Beef sushi was our fave. Will definitely come again and try more sushi offerings. Nice date place. Our server was very helpful to us being first timers, and attentive throughout the evening. Very good experience overall.
Creative Sushi Menu tucked away in Brookhaven!
This is a really nice sushi restaurant right on the corner of Dresden and Caldwell. It is not too big and not too small - just the right size. You can sit at the bar and eat or grab a table... The sushi is really good! I love the creativity in their menu - definitely not the same old sushi em you might see over and over. They have really created some inventive and delicious options. Their tiger shrimp is amazing! Try the Sex and the City, the Double Decker, the One Volcano and the Chanel Replica... all delicious!! Also the Avocado salad app is really good! Another nice surprise is the unique way they serve the iced tea - order one and you will see! They also serve a "smoking" cocktail... name? And one of the best Old Fashioned in town!
