Love this place - may see Mike Madon

Plan to wait, but it’s definitely word it. Portions are huge. Food is delicious. Server was funny and friendly.

I had a huge omelet with spinach, tomatoes, cheeses and four eggs. I took the buttermilk pancakes home because the restaurant doesn't have real maple syrup. Good friendly service.

The food was superb and super size plate for event price, the enviorment was warm and friendly as was all the staff. Most definitely must try if your in that neck of the woods

Apple pancake - that is all!!! Been to AN OPH in some part of the country or another many many times and keep going back to this monstrosity of a pancake that weighs as much as me. Last time was in San Diego and it didn't go so well (see that review if you like). Was hesitant to try as thought they maybe changed recipe for this but lo and behold it was AWESOME! Server kept the coffee flowing too. In all fairness you should try the choc chip pancakes too and one of the oven baked omelets. If you go with 2 or more, get some of everything and share.

We always take our out of town guests here for breakfast. The portions are texas-sized (which means they are HUGE) and really delicious. They are great with little kids too.

I dine at this restaurant often. I ran into a woman by the name of "Amy" at Wal-Mart who I had seen working at this location. Everytime i saw her in this location she was always smiling and working hard. Where i have seen the management standing around not doing anything several times. When I saw her I asked her why I had not seen her and she stated she had been terminated. I asked her what happened and to make a long story short she said she was not sure as to the reason because she thought everything was going great and that she also had to let the manager, who refers to her associates as "ninjas" another word for the N-word, know that she was there to do a good job without being harrassed. She said she was working at the location of of Northwest Highway and one day upper management sent her home and she never returned. What got my attention was that she was told by a Kim Meyer that the manager at Northwest Highway was hard to get along with and that she was the golden child and could do no wrong. She also stated Kim Meyer told her the manager at Northwest highway had run ins with 3 other female management trainees. 1 being white and the other 2 Hispanic. I paused and that is when I got to thinking, whites and Hispanics can have a problem with this manager, but a black woman gets terminated with no warning and with out being heard. I do not want to spend money at an establishment where the standards for blacks are different from those of other races. This woman's story touched me. I will not be dining here anymore.

Big servings. Eggs and pancakes galore. Come hungry!

Best, fresh OJ !!

My husband and I had brunch at this restarunt being that it was the day after New Year's Day it was very busy we had to wait about 20 mins before we were seated. The food was good but average and the price was fair. I enjoyed the coffee more then anything, I had the Egg Benedicts and my Husband had sausage and eggs my Husband and felt that it was nothing spectacular about the food other then the presentation, we felt that it would have tasted better if we cooked this meal at home.

The food was average, not lick-your-plate-clean good. The parking was terrible and the restaurant was incredibly loud. It was hard to hear the other person at your table. Prices were reasonable and food was ready extremely fast!

Been in Dallas all my life & never tried this spot until today. Breakfast with the hubby, good fresh tasting food. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon, iy came with 3 pancakes, I was only able to eat half of the burrito. The Hubs had the 2×2×3 with canadian bacon, he enjoyed it. We will return for the lunch menu

We have been searching for brunch options and found this in August. We really enjoyed pancakes and some good bacon for a change!

Good service and very good food - omlettes and pancakes

Eaten at several locations - but the Lemmon Street location the most! My husband and I splurged on the Apple Dutch baby and Regular Dutch baby, fresh orange and excellent coffee!! Busy spot -- breakfast spot -- never visited when there wasn't a short wait -- we feel like it is worth it!! Great server and will visit again next time in town!

Great place to get a good plate of pancakes and hot coffee. Grandchildren enjoyed the food. We enjoyed the customer service it was quick the food was good and hot.

I love the traditional breakfast foods, but also love the Swedish pancakes with the lingonberries and the Dutch Baby. They have thick, sweet and delicious bacon and rich coffees.

Wonderful Breakfast! Our family had the eggs, pancakes, egg white omelette, bacon, sausage, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and everything was delicious! This will be a place we stop to eat again when we are in Dallas! Thank you for a delicious meal!

Can't beat this eatery for first meal of the day. Food is so clean you cold say it came from a surgery table. Pancakes, eggs, coffee....all good. Service is always great. Good stop!

I've always told everyone that the best Eggs Benedict were at the Original Pancake House. I just loved them when I was living in Dallas. Having moved and not been to this restaurant for a number of years, I was so looking forward to experiencing them again, and it was the whole reason we went there for brunch. Much to my dismay, the meal was rather delayed in being served. My son's patty melt was hot and pretty good, but my and my husband's long-anticipated Eggs Benedict were room temperature. By the time they had cooled off this much, the sauce looked like & tasted as if someone had just opened a can of Bernaise sauce and poured it over the eggs. What a disappointment. Won't make the same mistake again. I just hate it when you recommend a restaurant to someone and it turns out to be a total bust.

Best bacon in town! Thick and soooo yummy! The service is fabulous! Ask for Laurie she is the best server I've had in a long time!

Just stopped in before a hospital visit to my daughter and was very impressed with the FRESH SQUEEZED Orange juice and thick bacon and the Huevos Ranchero was tasty too. They use soft warm corn tortillas. Yum. Friendly service by Genesis.

Less crowded on weekdays than weekends, but still worth the wait if there is one. The new location on Belt Line in Dallas is a big surprise with an integrated coffee bar and much more room than any Starbuck's. I find a way to make it at least once a month.

good if you can get in always a LONG line

The wait wasn't that bad, the servvice is exemplary & the pricing is low.... what more could you ask for?! My eggs migas were just right - so much I filled up before finishing! The kids loved the hot chocolate & hubby & I wanted to steal the little one's chocolate chip pancakes!

Sunday morning is an extremely busy day, we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table. The service from beginning until the checkout was really good. We had breakfast, hot and right on point! The atmosphere is friendly and busy. I will return soon.

Excellent service! We had one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had in my 60 years of eating out. Big menu. Good food. Reasonable pricing. Will be back!

My first experience with The Original Pancake House was in Clayton, MO and everything was great. While in Dallas I decided to visit again however this visit was much diffeeent. Besides the reataurant being extremely loud, service was very mediocre. I ordered an omelette and the wrong one was brought out. While waiting for butter & syrup for my pancakes my mom found hair on her plate. The waitress was clueless and brought over the manager who delivered a bill for $32. We were traveling and said we didn't have time to wait for a new omelette and meal for my mom. We ended up paying for coffee and one piece of bacon. Another manager was so embarrassed by the whole situation that he gave us a card for a free entree, but we'll never use it. I think I this issue may be the problem because like I said, I had a great experience at another location previously.

This was a nice little place to get a good breakfast. They are very big portions like four egg omelette but the biscuits for biscuits and gravy or just biscuits by themselves or simply delectable.

I went to my first OPH while living in Cleveland, OH and was excited when a location opened in Grapevine. Great food, but a very, very busy place on Sunday mornings. Bring your appetite and your patience. You may need to wait awhile for a seat.

Food sucks, but you see lots of local politicians in there in the morning. McDonalds has much better pancakes.

Good, old-fashioned breakfast food.

Fun place to eat giant breakfast! Lots of variety of pancakes and waffles that taste great.

Found this place near where I am staying on a visit to Dallas. What a treat! The OJ was fresh and tasty, the coffee hot and full bodied and near perfection when the real cream was added. The pancakes were delicious and the bacon was the best I've ever had. It was thick and meaty like bacon should be. If you want a great breakfast with fresh, tasty food at a reasonable price, this is it.

My first time in Dallas and I was looking for a good place to take breakfast, and this is it!!! Great corned beef & eggs, excellent coffee (It's from Costa Rica!!) and very good service!! Highly recommended!

When the orange juice arrived on a doily and on a saucer, I knew a fabulous experience was about to unfold. It did. The Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection. Stole a few bites of hubby's pancakes. They were fluffy and evenly browned. The manager and wait staff were all courteous and efficient.

good pancakes, but Bread winners is a better location and food

The servers were adequate. The coffee was horrible buy I guess it might have been me because my colleagues drank more than 1 cup. I ordered eggs benedict and I can say it was "so so". All in all I would go back to the waffle house next time. I can say I tried another place outside of routine.

Went for the apple cinnamon pancakes and they did not disappoint. Wife had the regular buttermilk pancakes and they were also excellent. Great bacon and fresh squeezed orange juice completed a great breakfast. Very busy on Sunday but we were seated promptly. Good service and a nice family atmosphere.

I was in the rare mood for blueberry pancakes this morning, my dad's were incredible, so I ended up here. I waited a few minutes to be sat, no worries. The hostess was a little flustered for a 10 minute wait. I sat at a wobbly table and ordered coffee and fresh oj, delicious. I ordered what they call a french rolled omelet (?) Made with 4 eggs, way too big. It came with 3 pancakes which I modified with blueberries. I Also got the potatoes and link sausage. I'm sorry to say that EVERYTHING was subpar. Every table around me had long ticket times or food issues. It's not that the food was bad, it was bland, no seasoning, the potatoes were undercooked, and the links were skinny and dry. The pancakes were the same, bland, even with all the blueberries. While my server was polite enough, he was very young and pretty inattentive. Had to wait 7-8 minutes both times I needed a coffee refill, that's without flagging anyone down. Super disappointed since these things are supposed to be their specialties, especially pancakes! I know every place has off days, but there's too many good spots right here. Won't be back.

Went for a late breakfast at the Pancake House....the waiting list was long....took about 45 minutes to get a table. After we got our initial drinks...saw very little of the waitress. Took another 45 minutes to get the food without being asked if our drinks needed refilled. Apparently the kitchen was getting slammed according to the waitress. My poached eggs on the Benedict were cold and hard...the hash browns mediocre. Due to the popularity of this place...guessing this was a aberration.......however I would not wait this long again to find out.

The food was delicious! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. It didn't take them long to bring our food out and it was HOT! Love it, will go back again.

Didn't try anything out the ordinary, eggs, bacon and pancakes - they were really good and service was excellent. I saw an apple pancake meal that looked like it could feed at least two people. The bacon is thick sliced and I mean it was really thick sliced. If someone gets a meal with 4-6 pieces there is ample for two folks to eat. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Original Pancake house is a very popular breakfast/brunch place in uptown. They have tons of different breakfast/brunch options-everyone will be able to find something that they like. Portions are reasonable, some breakfasts (eggs) are bigger than others. I've never had a bad meal there...just a long wait before a great meal.

There's no doubt this is a great breakfast. The bacon and pancakes get high marks and their service is on the spot. Try some of their pulpy, fresh squeezed orange juice. I really have no complaints and only good things to say. So, go, and bring an appetite.

Try the apple pancakes!

Not just a great place for specialty pancakes but a great place for lunch items. I meet here monthly for a veterans in business meeting. They have a meeting room at this location where 40 to 50 veterans have an opportunity to not only network but have lunch and be served by an amazing wait staff, they have the best club sandwich that is served with buttered toasted bread with a generous portion of turkey and ham with the right amount of smoked bacon and fresh cut fries. The lunch menu has a variety of options for everyone’s taste bud with great prices.

Big portions Excellent food and very good service So many people that you have to wait but is worth it Excellent for families

I have eaten there twice, both times the food quality was very poor. The last time it was simply inedible. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this place.

Met at entry by sullen woman who asked booth or table, not hello, etc. We answered TABLE. She went to a BOOTH dropped menus and before we got there she had made her way to back of dining area. Did not wait for us or show us to seating. They need a change in personnel up front. Thanks to an observant and pleasant waiter we were seated correctly. All went well with breakfast thanks to him. Food is not so good as to return or recommend this place. Lots of good friendly places to start the day. Wait service 5 star; other 1 star so average is 3 star thanks to grumpy.

They really do have the best eggs benedict here. I really think they have the best breakfast of any place I have ever eaten.

Very impressed with the quality and quantity of food, and the price. The Eggs Benedict were superb and the cherry crepes, delicious. Loved the nice touch of the lace paper doily underneath the fresh squeezed orange juice. Service was a little slow, as we must have arrived during a shift change. But once we did get a server, she was just wonderful, bringing us extra plates and a great attitude.

The food was good, we walked in at 8am with little to no wait on a Saturday. The food was great and the portions were above average. The service could have been better in my opinion but overall I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Every time I come to the states I always make a point of getting pancakes at least once. I found the original pancake house on here and even though it was a 40 minute walk I knew I had to come here. The walk was a very hot one as I think it was 29° at 6am but it was so worth it. When the waiter asked me whether I wanted 3 or 6 pancakes there was only ever going to be one answer. These were so nice and would highly recommend it to anyone that visits Dallas.

I believe everyone should have a go to breakfast place that can make their favs "just right!" This is MY place. My "personal" one is on Midway and NWHy. But by reputation I bet they are all excellent! Fav item to order: Two by Two by Two!! Go check it out....!

While we were on vacation in Dallas we ate at this fantastic pancake house and had wonderful crepes, pancakes and waffles. The kids loved the food and the balloon lady:)

The next day after a long flight from Australia, this was our choice for breakfast based on reviews we had read no tripadvisor. We were not disappointed! When we arrived, it was quite late for breakfast (around mid day!), and there were people there waiting for a table...we were told a 20 minute wait, but ended up being seated after 5 minutes :-) The service was efficient and friendly. The food was really nice, and plenty of it. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. We would definitely visit again!

Always ask for them to crisp up your corned beef hash...it is delish here. And the German lemon pancake is divine. Parking is a challenge but well worth circling a few times to land a spot.

What a wonderful restaurant. The service and the meal was terrific. Bacon was extra crispy as well as the avocado toast was delicious.

Lifestyle Omelet

It is the American Dream, a lot of food for a low price....And the food and service were very good. I had the banana pancakes, 4 (1/2 order) are enough for any adult. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. My friend had their breakfast burrito with chocolate chip pancakes on the side, both of which he said were delicious. The chocolate pancakes were a bit too chocolaty for me though. Our server was very nice and helpful. We did go on a Sunday morning at 9:15 am and we JUST beat the rush. if you go any later you will have to wait!

Valued priced for excellent breakfasts. Excellent service and coffee.

First time visiting and it just was not what we expected. Waiter never came to take our order. We had to ask for service. I ordered large orange juice & my husband order coffee w/ a large glass of milk. Never got the milk. After having our breakfast and our plates were collected. Our Dutch Baby came. He brought us plates but no silverware. Wow... Just not a great day for us to go.

Tried this out FIRST in Chi Town but was pleasantly surprised we had one in the DFW area. Go early! You might get better service than we did. Still enjoyed my breakfast...yummy

It was very crowded when we arrived, which we expected so we waited the half hour and played around outside until they called us in. We were seated and about 15 minutes later our waiter appeared and we ordered food and drink. About half an hour later our water came and our son's milk came. About 5 minutes after that the food came. The omelets were huge and nice and cheesy. The pancakes were... sour. My husband loved the pancakes and said they must be real buttermilk pancakes and that is what I must think is sour. I guess I don't like real buttermilk pancakes but the syrup was good. My husband wants to get a whole stack of pancakes next time. I want to try the bacon. It looked SOOO good as it passed by multiple times. We didn't get a drink refill until our drinks were empty for a while. However, the manager was walking around talking to people which was nice. The other patrons were friendly as well and we struck up a conversation with the lady at the table next to us. We will be back and I encourage others to give it a shot as well. Don't let the wait deter you, be ready to make it part of the experience and have a good time.

Great place if you're looking to have Breakfast. Their pancakes are great, but there are other items on the menu that are also worth trying, such as the French toast. Their staff and very friendly and helpful, so if you're a tourist just like me you will feel welcome.

This is a great Dallas restaurant with consistently quality food and a lovely location and ambiance. I highly recomend this restaurant for their Pancakes and their corn beef hash.

The only place where I will eat he pancakes. The omlettes are huge & yummy

Yummie!

I have heard so much of this place and was looking for a good breakfast. Service was slow, even for more coffee while one of our orders was slightly burnt but served nonetheless. Felt bad at not accepting it but then a manager came over and agreed with me. 30 minutes later breakfast served but my partner had finished his breakfast before it got cold. Not what I expected.

I have been in here several times for lunch with colleagues, and breakfast with friends. Similar to a diner, prices are decent. The bacon is crispy and not thin like Ihop/Denny's, and I love the blueberry pancakes.

We try to always eat at The Orginal Pancake House when in Dallas. Great traditional breakfasts with fresh squeezed OJ (yum)! Love "The Dutch Boy", Buttermilk pancakes, Omelettes & crepes. Thick sliced bacon, honey smoked ham OMG! Service can be a bit slow because this place is SO POPULAR! It is always slammed, so call ahead to put your name on the waiting list and don't be late, as there will be about a dozen people waiting. It's worth the wait, but why wait when you can call ahead. Has lunch items too!

I have been eating at OPH's around the country for over 50 years. This Dallas franchise is as good as they come. My wife and I will split their 49er's (excellent chewy thin pancakes) with a side of bacon. The standards of this chain was very high and the food without exception - excellent. Just order the pancakes - my other favorites are the Dutch Baby, Swedish, and their signature meal - the Apple Pancake. As I suggested, the portions are large so do not hesitate to split. Enjoy

First, of all you can charge your car up while you are there. Second, employees are super nice! Third, coffee is special. and last but not least - Original and Special food! YUM!

Breakfast heaven for folks who know how to eat! I'm a big fan of breakfast and always look at the chance to eat Chez Pancake as a real treat. Sooo many types of pancakes. And real flapjacks!

While our visit started terribly with a misunderstanding about our place on the waiting list, it ended well. The manager could not have been more gracious, and the food was plentiful and delicious. Despite the rocky start, I would definitely return.

We went here for an office breakfast. Each person ordered something different; from apple pancakes, pumpkin pancakes, eggs, omelettes, bacon platters...everything looked and tasted great! The service was fast. This place was easy to stop in for a quick breakfast or a group outing.

One of my favorite breakfast restaurants, but the portions are not huge, and the extras add up. New menu has removed some favorites, but it's still a solid breakfast spot. Usually very crowded. Be prepared to wait a bit.

We live on the outskirts of the suburbs, and had to come into Dallas for some errands and decided to try out something different. The breakfast was what you would expect, menu is very cut and dry. Not a ton of frills. My husband ordered the omelette; I got migas, and we shared pancakes. The food was great, service was good, and the prices weren't bad.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on our anniversary. The food and service were both good . I had the French toast on sourdough that was very good. My wife had scrambled eggs with ham and it came with 3 pancakes, a large breakfast. Atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

We were originally heading for a Waffle House when we passed here, and decided to turn round and head back as it was located in a pleasant area, and looked like a nice place for breakfast. We obviously arrived at just the right time, as we were seated immediately (no booths though), when we left there was probably 10+ people waiting for tables. My wife went for the pancakes topped with pecans (she did ask for Banana pancakes - but they missed this). Were still very good and she could not manage them all. I went for biscuits and gravy which came with pancakes. All very good - we had fresh orange juices and coffee. Nothing to complain about - was a great breakfast served in a timely fashion

First time going and I’m glad we did. Their orange juice is fresh squeezed and their cuts of bacon are massive! I had the pancakes and they were very tasty. Would absolutely come back.

Excellent service top notch and the food was just incredible. Portions were huge and as to be expected. Delicious. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area.

Stopped in one day when out early for some breakfast. In Texas the coffee is $2.50 a cup and not that good. A simple meal of 1 egg + bacon (they always add pancakes) and coffee cost me close to $15 with tip.. My last visit ever!

Great breakfast! I had the wild berry crepes with the sweet and spicy bacon. The crepe was delicious with perfectly ripe berries and not too much mascarpone. The bacon was good, although I’d probably just go with the basic next time. Hubby ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. He doesn’t care for pancakes usually but craves these ones; they are always light and fluffy with a bit of sweetness to them. Our hostess provided phenomenal service. I wish I could remember her name (I believe it was Ruth). She helped my husband figure out how to order exactly what he was looking for, even though it wasn’t a menu combination. After we finished eating I got up to the bathroom, having literally come straight from an outpatient knee surgery. She was so kind as to open the bathroom door for me and wait in the bathroom, making sure the stall was clean for me and that I was able to wash my hands and manage my crutches.

We have visited this restaurant on two different trips to TX and will be back for sure. The staff are all so kind and helpful and the portion are big and food is great. It's a great value price wise for the amount of food.

Barry Russ is a great guy: Cheerful, ebullient, knowledgable, patient. Plus, he runs a great restaurant in a small but busy corner of Uptown Dallas. If I've ever eaten a tastier pecan waffle or a side of bacon that came with it, or a better piece of french toast (sourdough), then I don't remember where or when. And the coffee? Puts Starbuck's to shame by the length of the Lake Washington channel I used to swim, back in the day when I was doing a Fellowship at UW Seattle. So, if you happen to be doing business or just running around the Big D, stop in at the OPH. You don't even have to ask Barry what's good on the menu: All of it is.

First time to visit. The blueberry pancakes were excellent. My wife had the cherry crepes, which she said were perfect. Large portions.

Bacon pancakes is what i ordered. It was ok. We went on a Sunday had to wait an hour (which if food is great u expect it). Best thing on we ordered was the hashbrowns. Think I should have ordered reg. Pancakes

I'm a Dallas local and it's one of the most popular in town. Large menu, original specialties, great service and wonderful food. Very crowded on Sat and Sun mornings so get there early. Worth the wait!

Our first rainy morning in Dallas treated us with a cozy and pleasant restaurant named the Original Pancake House. For 8 am on Saturday it was very busy. But, we were seated right away and started with a cup of refreshing Latin American coffee blend. As expected, the menu choices were plentiful and we (it was 3 of us) all ordered quite different breakfasts. One was called Two by Two by Two, consisting of eggs, links and pancakes. Another was luscious hash browns with scrambled eggs, and mine was the Cherry Kijafa crepes filled with cherries and covered with syrup and sugar powder. Plentiful portions satisfied our appetites, and we all decided that it was a "perfect breakfast" for a long day of fun activities in Dallas.

this is an old original location, excellent breakfast. Pancakes and waffles are house special. easy to find, Lemmon Avenue near the Uptown area.

It was as delicious! Omg! The bacon! Everything was great. Kids cleaned their plates. I will certainly be going back!

Outstanding in every respect. Food, ambiance, service, cost. Joi B was a fantastic server. I was this place was nearer to home!

best place for brunch! i keep going back for their fresh OJ and pancakes

OPH is good, always good, but a tad pricey.

Visited this charming diner 3 times on our latest trip, found on line and was in easy walking distance of our hotel on akard street. The service was good and the food was excellent, and well prepared. If you are looking for a good start to your day head here.

best place for unique cakes. fresh squeesd juces. big portions. very friendly staff with frequent table visits. this is a place to take out of town visitors for special treat.

Can't thank Edward S. enough for bringing out my credit card as I was pulling out of the parking lot. Food was excellent, cooked perfectly and clean, well-maintained property. But it was the service and kind, quick thinking staff that will be bringing me back.

Love to have breakfast at all hours. Food is great and always delivered to your table still warm.

Great breakfast and short wait time. We enjoyed the variety on the menu of food choices. The food was delicious and worth every penny. Not to expensive, just right!

Only problem was the long wait to get a table, over 45 minutes. Poor system of notification due to loud noise in waiting area and could not hear the announcements, Suggest they get a buzzer system. Waitress was very friendly, the blue berry pancakes were good and the omelet was hugh and more then we could eat together. Coffee could have been warmer.

It is one of my personal five favorite places to eat breakfast in Dallas. Great food and nice portions. Can't go wrong with anything you order.

I have eaten at several of their locations - Plano, Midway & NW Hwy, and most of the time at Lemmon. The food here for breakfast is excellent. It is crowded on the weekends so we go mostly during the week. We have never had a bad meal here. There is something for everyone. If you have infants, you can ask for "baby cakes" which are tiny pancakes that a baby can eat with his/her hands and they will bring them out right away so little ones do not have to wait. You can substitute specialty pancakes for the buttermilk that come with the egg/omelet dishes. Sometimes there is a small additional charge. Like your bacon crispy? Just request it that way. There is a wonderful German pancake which has apples in it and is baked, and a Dutch Baby which is an egg pancake baked in the oven and served with powdered sugar and lots of fresh lemons. These take at least 15 minutes so it is a good idea to order right away. Sometimes they have these already cooking and will bring samples to the tables. There are waffles and crepes, and specialty pancakes such as chocolate chip and swedish served with ligonberries. Drinks are refilled quickly. What more could one ask for??

I was in Dallas visiting and wanted to try a good breakfast spot. Everytime I typed in breakfast in Dallas this place came up. I had the breakfast burrito which is great and it came with three pancakes. I ordered a bacon, buttermilk and blue berry pancake which were great. I would come back.

I love this place! It's my favorite "go to" breakfast spot when I'm in town. The coffee is probably the best around and the food is mouth watering. I've never had an issue with the food but be prepared to wait for a table if it's a weekend, it can get busy!

Good for breakfast, like it better than IHOP or Denny's:) Always a wait each time we go, but it's worth it.

Love the pancakes and omelettes. Almost always great service. Be sure to get a coffee to go before you leave! You can even buy a bag of their coffee to take home.

A bit of a wait mid-morning during the holiday period, but the quality and value of the food was so good we returned the next day

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Been to other locations and all were great. The service here was terrible. Our water was empty the entire meal. Our server dropped our check when she brought our food, and never returned. I asked her when she was at the table next to us if we could get more water and also some ketchup for the potatoes. By the time all of us were done, a bus boy came over with more water and ketchup. It was a bummer since I really love the original pancake house.

We arrived and there was a long line...and they got us in so quickly. They have gluten free pancakes folks...you have to order some kind of pancake...try the dutch baby or the one covered with apples. The coffee isn't bad either.

Visiting Dallas and found the restaurant by chance while walking around the area. The food was great and price reasonable. I had the fresh banana pancakes and they were delicious. Well worth stopping in for a bite.

We often meet people for breakfast here because it is nearby. When my husbands brother and his wife came to town, we took them here.

We were concerned about the wait, but customers were seated promptly. The pancakes were delicious, the orange juice fresh squeezed, and the service was great... will definitely be back in the next trip to Dallas. And this time I'll go for the Crepes... they looked AWESOME!

A crowd standing outside a restaurant and no available parking is normally a good sign of a neighborhood favorite and this time it was right on the dot! We waited 15 minutes for a table on a Saturday but once we got inside the food came quickly. The service was average, I think our server was over booked (too many tables) but we still got a smile and refills. My husband got an omlet and it was huge! I got the chocolate chip pancakes and was not disappointed. All in all this place is a must for breakfast when visiting Dallas.

Me my wife and my baby went to this place 2 times while we were visiting Dallas, I have to say this place is really good, attention was awesome and the food better, we will be back for more !

A must eat at place when in Texas! Portions are like everything else in Texas huge!! Staff is beyond friendly and service is always fast! My wife and I love coming here on Sunday mornings .. Pancakes and coffee.

The service was slow. Waiting for our orders slower. The plates looked boring and bland. Food was average tasting. The floors were way too slippery that day and someone could have really hurt themselves, eventho it was a rainy Sunday. It was actually dangerous walking to the bathroom, I was not the only customer to say so. One thing I would do, if I ever went there again, is order the crepes. That seems to be where the Kitchen Staff puts their talent to work. Otherwise skip everything else.

Went to OPH today for breakfast. I had french toast, eggs and sausage and my guest had eggs, bacon and pancakes. The restaurant was very dirty and needs a lot of work pealing wall paper, holes in wall etc. Our food took forever to come out but Jose our waiter was excellent, refilled our coffee and water continues made sure we were okay and very response to our needs during our long wait and after food was served. Pancakes were Fantastic, French toast was very odd prepared and tasted strange. eggs were okay sausage was okay and bacon I was told was cold. I would come back here again for Jose great service and the pancakes. I would not order the french toast again.

It's hard for me to give a breakfast place a 4 rating but if you are comparing breakfasts, it is deserved. Waits are to be expected if you go on weekends. Service can be spotty. We sit in the same area now with a waitstaff that is very good. I don't eat eggs but others do and really like the 'full' breakfasts.
Great breakfast place. Best bacon you will eat. Expect a wait on weekends
