Quality and Service Does not Match the Price

By Alan K |

I went to the restaurant a few times as it was in the hotel I was staying. The bartenders are hit and miss, had one great one, one was ok, and one spent more time on her phone then with the customers. The food is VERY expensive. $15 for a burger at lunch, $40 for a steak (after 7pm) with no sides, they are $7 each. The food I did have was very bland.

Great food

Great menu! Tried several items and they were all great. Customer service was great and the Bar staff was superb.

Terrible

By DNStravfan |

This is the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant! Don’t go and want to have anything quick. They got our orders wrong. The entire group seemed New and clueless. Very very disappointing on all levels. Won’t return.

excellent restaurant

Had drinks in the bar while waiting on guests in the hotel to come down. Bartender was great made a very nice drink. Offered a good laugh with prompt service.

Average and Ovepriced

By Bill F |

Visited tonight for the first time and will be the last. $16 for a very small and watered down martini is unconscionable. Adding insult to injury is $51 for a 14 ounce filet which was neither tasty or very tender and just thrown at me by a member of the serving team with no comment. Only saving grace was the lamb chops which my wife indicate were decent, We both concluded however that we have had much better for far less money. Live and learn and imho the Palm in Buckhead in way overrated.

Terrible service

By Robbie L |

8/29/21 One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in years:( Westin hotel staff highly recommended Sunday brunch. So we showed up just before 11am. We stood at the host stand for several minutes before the hotel manager came over and asked if we had seen any restaurant staff. Finally a server came and told us it would be just a minute. The restaurant was clean and the ambulance was quite pleasant. We were seated and waited and waited for our server to arrive. She asked if we know what we wanted. So we decided to start with something to drink. Coffee and water, Sunday morning and all. We waited and waited some. My wife asked has the server passed by probably 10 minutes or so, if we could have our drinks to which she replied “of course”. Few more minutes the waitress returns to inform us they were out of an item that we didn’t even order. My food arrived, we some of it. Had to wait 10 more minutes for my wife’s food; which was a fruit plate! Never feed the man before the lad and certainly don’t make her wait; and it’s fruit!!! Some of her order Denver came either. Maybe the Plam management expects their male patrons to eat before the ladies receive their meal, but where I come from(Atlanta food industry) this is beyond rude. So need less to say my meal was cold. We were charged for the missing items, we waited over an hour for an eggs Benedict and a fruit plate, waited at host stand, waited for drink, waited for meal, missing items, waited on check, overcharged. We were one of 3 tables the entire time. This is a management problem and shame on her. Sorry concern for the restaurant, her employees, her guests, and the organization as a whole. Will not be back.

Not what it used to be

By spaintravelerAtlanta |

The Palm is in the lobby of the newly renovated Westin Hotel. We were meeting friends that were staying at the hotel. My husband and I sat at the bar until our friends arrived. We ordered wine and were overcharged for the wines. The restaurant was vibrant with more people at the bar than at the tables. During the entire evening only about 5 tables were taken by diners. The service was great. A nice bread basket was brought to the table with a variety of breads. I ordered a kale salad which was delicious with mustard dressing, shaved parmesan cheese and cranberries. The "Monday" salad was tasteless and looked like it was made last Monday....just a plate of chopped iceberg lettuce for a very hefty price. The appetizer crab cake was delicious and comes with 2 small side dishes of coleslaw. The chicken parmesan is quite large but not that great. The sea bass came to the table reeking of 3-day old fish but tasted ok....not much flavor... The Palm is not what it used to be......it's very very expensive....and not very good.

Great staff

By Dan L |

The Palm had great food, included perfectly prepared steaks. The best part, however was the customer service. I have rarely been treated as if I my presence was sincerely appreciated. Located in the Westin Bulkhead hotel, although there were many restaurants nearby, the quality of the food and level of customer service made it unnecessary to go elsewhere.

Good Place For Steak

By michael p |

I have had their great steaks from their original New York location to a dozen others. The Atlanta location lives up to the quality you expect from this restaurant. Everything is done right from the food to the service.

Wow that fillet was tender

By Julie K |

First, let me say it is expensive. When the prices are really high I raise my expectations. They didn't disappoint. Be sure to have your parking ticket validated. Otherwise, you will pay enough to park to buy a dinner at many restaurants....but not enough for The Palm.

Worst experience ever

By Angela K |

The restaurant was more than 40 minutes late for a pickup order at almost 10;00pm and when I questioned them, the manager hung up on me because he didn’t like my tone or language. I admit, I used one curse word, but after 40+ minutes, anyone would have been irate. He proceeded to hang up on me 5 times and told me not to call back and that I could call his manager tomorrow. Do NOT waste your time or money on this place - it’s disappointing as it used to be one of my favorite places to eat.

Great all the way around

By davidmicc |

Below When things go right from start to finish there isn’t much to say. From being greeted professionally and friendly from the beginning to great wait service, quality ingredients cooked perfectly. That is what it’s all about. Very rare in our world unfortunately but here the traditional way of treating customers still is strong. Congratulations

Not that good !!! All hype

By dj a |

Been sitting here at the palm for 50 mins b4 my sons food came in which I ordered when we first got our table. Server wasn’t bad. I ordered the 22 oz bone in rib eye med well with Oscar topping . Steak came out bleeding all over my plate. Sent it back after 2 bites. They returned my steak with out any crab meat or asparagus. So once I tell them that it’s missing they bring me a plate of cold crab meat maybe a fork full. With that said the steak was mostly fat. Oh well I tried to give this place a shot after seeing it on Tv but it didn’t work. Also please note this restaurant is in a hotel lobby.

Dinner with Family

By RJR411 |

Since The Palm left Tampa, we have missed one of our favorite steak restaurants. As always, the food was great but the service was disappointing. We were seated in a quiet part of the restaurant which was great for talking but not great for service. On several occasions I had to get up and search for my server. Our 36 ounce steak for 3 that we ordered medium, came to our table between raw and rare so we had to send it back. Our order of mashed potatoes never arrived so we had to cancel it. Our bill arrived with the potato order included and I had to ask to have it removed. Bottom line: great food, very poor service, especially for a first class restaurant like The Palm.

Great steaks and lobster

We were staying at the Westin Buckhead and had the pleasure to dine here one night. Very fresh and delicious food. Service was very attentive. It was a very pleasurable dinner experience.

Am I at the airport?

By HitonHead1 |

There are numerous high end steakhouses in Atlanta to get a first rate prime steak, great service and ambience. Unfortunately, this isn’t one of them. I ate at the bar, which is serviced by 3 bartenders. 2 that try to be efficient and a blonde woman who is beyond hapless. Their overall attitude would remind you of people you would think are working at an airport bar with a captured audience. I had to flag the bartender down to get a drink, again to get a menu and yet again to place an order. What happened to the days when a bartender had to have a personality to work in “the front of the house”? The bar sits in the middle of the Westin Hotel lobby, which partially explains the airport service, but they still charge high end steakhouse prices. Started with a martini. The dizzy blonde asked me 3 times if I wanted blue cheese olives or plain olives, except she asked me like this...”blue cheese olives right”. No, I said. The food: Started with a chopped salad. Obviously pre made in a bowl to scoop out to order. Oily and soggy. More reminiscent of a crappy vegetable stew actually. Except tasteless. Gee, I think I’ll order a glass of wine! Time to flag the bartender down for a wine by the glass menu..... twice. Steak: NY Strip. pretty good, not great. Ordered asparagus as well, but 5 minutes later, no sign of that. Shockingly, I had to flag the bartender down again to get it. 5 minutes later, here comes the cold asparagus that apparently couldn’t survive the heat lamp. I don’t care how tired you might be or even if you just lost a limb. Limp into an Uber and find a better option.

Worst Servise Ever!!

By George D |

We had a 7:30 reservation last Monday 2/6/23. When we got there they said we don't have a table for you and wouldn't commit to a time. After several trips up to the hostess stand the manager finally showed up. No apolgy or anything. We were promptly seated at 9:30, two hours late. This restaurant is horribly run. It should be avoided, there plenty of good restaurants in the are who care about their customers.

Great Place to Eat

By rvkris |

We are staying here for a meeting, and went to this restaurant the first night. The service was very good, and the food was excellent. This hotel and restaurant is located in the heart of an upscale shopping and business district. If you are staying here in the hotel it is a must-eat experience because of the convenience and quality of food. I was impressed.

6 years and he loves me still.

By Linda M K |

The service the food the staff the manager and the valet WOW! The best anniversary a girl could ask for. This place was a night to remember.

Not worth the price

By AsliDesi |

I thought that it was too pricey. Also, I was offered eating at the bar, rather than sit down in the restaurant, however, was still charged the same amount as I would have done for a sit down meal. Don't get me wrong, the food was not bad, but not that good to pay the amount on menu nor did the ambiance demand that sort of price,

Not up to their own standards

By T M |

Having dined here before at lunch and dinner, I was definitely looking forward to a business dinner here last week. I was so disappointed , caesar salad arrived without dressing, the mashed potatoes were so salty as to be inedible. My filet was ordered medium rare it arrived medium. Doubt I'll be back.

Great service and Great Annual 4-lb Lobster Dinner

By Saundra D |

Be sure to check out The Palm Restaurant for their Summer Lobster at The Palm dinner for two for a total of $99! It's from July 15th through August 15th. You get your choice of great salad choices or lobster bisque as an appetizer, you'll split a 4-lb lobster, and then you get our choice of a family style potato or vegetable! The wait staff will crack the claws at the table and the whole lobster arrives split down the middle! They have signature cocktails (not included). I've never had a bad experience and this is my 4th year in a row!

Not the best

By BermudaGolfer72 |

After several decades of memorable experiences I think the brand has lost it’s position. The Lobster is still the best but priced to match and the rest is nothing special anymore The attention to the white table cloth experience is no longer there

Consistently great food.

By smfargo1 |

I travel to all the top tier locations and I finding a great meal at an exjpensive price is never too hard. I know when I go to the Palm that I am going to get hosed, but iIalso know the food will be excellent. I took my family and freinds there last Saturday night and we had a wonderful meal. The waiter was a pro and the bartendar made a killer dirty martini. Drank wayyyyy to many that night.

Good dry-aged steak but needs polishing

By Mick B |

The good points: colossal crab appetizer was fresh; steak done too perfection; St. Francis zinfandel decanted; pleasant waiter; chef came to table. Where to polish: steak overly salty (so people drink more); key lime pie missed twang of freshness because of spice blend (Christmas lime pie?). The bill is hefty but standard for this category of steak restaurants.

Late lunch

By Alan S |

4 people Late lunch on a Friday Bottle of champagne with a calamari, bacon wrapped scallops and carpaccio to start all very good. Dinner was a 3 and 4 lb crabmeat stuffed lobster. Excellent! Other 2 meals were veal Parmesan described as best they had ever had. Their spinach and potato dishes as sides. Also great Our waiter and his helpers all very professional and unobtrusive. Overall a nice experience no disappointments

Great Food. Great Atmosphere.

By jackiem07 |

In recent times, The Palm has become one of my favorite dining spots in Atlanta. The menu selection provides a nice range of steak, seafood and other delicious delights that's sure to please. We enjoy dining in the bar area and meeting others sitting next to us. The bartenders are pleasant, and serve really nice cocktails. Overall, a great place to dine.

Sneaky Good Italian; Steak

By PaulGozzo |

This joint is located near my office and some of the hotels I stay at when in town; W, Intercontinental, Grandy Hyatt and it is attached to The Westin. I’m writing this review because in an area stacke with a ton of very good and great restaurants, this one continues to come through clutch even for a solo meal. Additionally, while Palm estaurants are known for steaks obviously, and characatures, of course, this one has very good Italian. And by, “Italian”, I mean the food as well as the wine list! I highly recommend trying their Chicken Parmesan, although I assume the veal part is equally good. This particular Chicken Parmigiana rivals any “Italian” restaurant’s which works well for a former meat first guy who has lost that adaptation. As an added bonus, the staff here is ALWAYS terrific. So, I highly recommend The Palm in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia.

A Palm by any other name...

By mcdedrick |

Would still be delicious. The Palm Atlanta is no exception to the rule. This upper end Steakhouse chain consistently delivers delicious food, great atmosphere and stellar service. The shrimp cocktail is out of this world. The tenderloin steaks. Mmmmm. And if you’re lucky they may have king crab. If not, they always have lobster. I completely forgot the cocktails and plentiful wine list. This meal was so good I wished I was able to go there more than once. Thanks for a wonderful night full of good food and Atlanta hospitality.

I Love It

Good lunch

By alexandercB6535RK |

We were there for lunch everything was good the drinks was excellent The appetizer we ordered was delicious but only one thing went wrong on my order I told the waitress that I would like to have my steak medium well cooked and he brought it to me over cook it took them 15 minutes to bring it right from that moment my lunch was bad.👎🏿

Amazing quality

By Adriana L |

We stayed in the Westin Buckhead Atlanta for 2 nights, and we had the opportunity to have dinner and breakfast. The breakfast was very good, and the dinner was amazing. The quality of the meat was really the best I had this time in USA, it was not required to make effort with the knife to cut it. I had a wine from Argentina, a Malbec with fit perfectly with such good meat. The service and the ambiente was also perfect.

Wonderful Meal

By Sara C |

We ate here on a Saturday night. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the food was wonderful. When I asked about a salad that used to be a regular menu item the server immediately knew which one I was referring to and said the chef would be happy to accommodate my request.

What a place to eat!!

By Mark M |

This place is an excellent place to dine and relax! The atmosphere is amazing and food is out of this world! The staff was very professional and polite. They interacted with the group of us and ensured we all had a great experience. I very much enjoyed the bone-in ribeye. The filet and lobster tail that most of the other group had looked delicious as well.

Date night

By George M |

Excellent date night, wife and I had planned this event with another couple, however at the last minute our friends had to cancel. I'd just say they really missed out. The host and our server provided superior service which added immensely to the ambience. The food was great (steak and lobster). I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Prefect Steaks!

By rwhames |

Our visit was for a family birthday celebration. The service and the food were excellent, but the prices are not for the faith of heart. The filet was one of the best I have ever had. Excellent choices of salads and appetizers. Shrimp coctail were excellent jumbo size with great cocktail sauce. Also had the crabcake which was great as well, with a nice cole slaw garnish with a vinegar cream dressing. You can't get better food than this, but prepare to spend a minimum of $ 100 per person with appetizers and drinks. Great for special occasions...........

Was in our hotel so VERY convenient

By Lots_of_Baggage |

Ate 2 lunches here over the holidays. Both offered a relaxing environment, friendly and professional waitstaff, and a great meal. Dine with confidence.

Nice happy hour

By Noreen S |

Enjoyed the substantial bar menu offered for happy hour. A cheeseburger and oyster made a lovely light dinner.

Delicious, Huge Portions, A++ Staff

By Southern Traveler |

Not fine dining, but definitely high end. If you want to experience a fantastic meal with phenomenal service The Palm Atlanta is a MUST. Make reservations, just in case, you do not want to miss the steak, lobster, or dessert here. My family prefers to dine here on special occasions. Located in the Westin Buckhead. Valet parking is probably your best option. Enjoy! I always do!

Amazing steak

By Marco A |

When I travel to Atlanta I always stay in Westin Buckhead for 2 reasons: walking distance to Lenox Mall and few minutes from several good restaurants. The Palm is one of my favorites restaurants. Located @ Westin Hotel this place has a nice ambient, good service and fantastic steaks. The restaurant is not cheap, but you gonna get great food.

Overpriced Mediocrity

By newyorkdoll4 |

The original Palm in New York was my favorite all the many years we lived in Manhattan. Have lived in Atlanta for a number of years and have watched the Atlanta Palm decline year over y ear. Just had my annual holiday lunch with my husband and it is the last time we will go there. Service was terrible. Had to wait to for drinks. Had to ask to order an other drink. Had to ask for a wine list. Ha do t ask for my water to be refilled. Service was beyond slow. Food was good, not great. The onions in the half and half were not really crispy. They were undercooked. the restaurant was so not busy, yet service was awful. What a shame.

Best steak house on Peachtree Rd in Buckhead

By Chinapjs |

There are a number of very good steakhouses in Buckhead some of them literally an easy stroll from each other. For my money, The Palm is the best. I've eaten at its more famous version in Washington DC (which is crowded with lobbiests and other powerbroker a but I enjoy the Atlanta version better. More laid back and family friendly. And the service is made to please. If you want something not on the menu and they have the ingredients they will make it for you. I sister favors the lobster which is certainly excellent. My wife and K the fillet mignon. Save room for dessert though.

Bar scene lively

By drmader |

Had crab cake and calamari app w a nice Pinot..came w 2 associates for a drink after all day conference in hotel.. This fit the bill for that activity. Nice american steak house vibe..nice bar, well decorated and plenty of selection. Great bar tender.. Hard to get water .. Lots of great dining in this city so plenty of competition.

Amazed & confused

By PaulRenderson |

A holiday dinner among colleagues was a dinner not worth celebrating. What the hell has happened to this traditional great steakhouse? For decades I have been a loyal patron of The Palm's outstanding service and fantastic culinary experiences. I was asked by my colleagues to choose a restaurant in the area that would make our dinner and exceptional experience while we enjoyed the company of each other. I chose The Palm for all the reasons listed above. "Disappointing" and "mediocre" are words that aptly describe our total dining experience. Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi would turn in their graves if they knew how their once honored and respected cuisine had taken a turn for the worst. Before the guests arrived, I gave the waiter my debit card to use to purchase a bottle of $140 champagne for toasting the dinner as a surprise for the guests. I had to instruct him when to place the champagne flutes on the table. His clumsy handling of the bottle when opening, told me he was not in his element. He also held on to my debit card and did not return with it until later. Because of my love for The Palm and my many frequent visits over the last 50 years, I began to tell the guests the story behind its tradition. The waiter stood by the table and insisted on interrupting me when he wanted to interject his editorializing comments. Rude? When he was asked about a few of the items, he stuck to his script and spoke over the guests as they asked him questions about the menu. We all ordered appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts! The appetizers were good, but did not wow us. They were so over-priced, even at The Palm standards of pricing. Two of the guests ordered the NY Steak for two, requiring the waiter to carve the steak tableside. We all could have fallen asleep at the rate of this waiter's carving technique. Our food got cold watching this fiasco. We were at least 5-6 minutes into the entrée when the waiter advised us that our sides were taken by another water to a different table. His words were, "Someone stole your sides. The Chef apologizes and is making you some more." It is hardly the Chef's fault! Where is management? At 6:30pm on a Sunday evening, there were only about 16 people in the restaurant! When the sides were finally served, the creamed spinach tasted warmed-over and the au gratin potatoes were not the famous three-cheese potatoes that have made The Palm famous over the years - blah with an overwhelming amount of cheddar cheese that disguised the flavor that we expected. Dessert was next. The key lime pie had hardly any flavor and was such a small portion, one needed a magnifying glass to find it on the plate! The Crème Brule was this course's biggest disappointment. It was egg & crème soup! Someone had rushed this item in the oven and taken it out too soon and tried to hide the fact by torching the sugar on top a little thicker. Sure, when it was brought to the waiter's attention, it was removed from the bill. So what? we looked forward to that dish and were very disappointed. Throughout the meal, our waiter disappeared between courses. Some of us would have ordered other libations if we could have had a more attentive server. Management hung out at the podium having personal conversations with other waiters who lingered with little to do. The crowning blow was the delivery of the check. Without permission or direction, the waiter put the entire bill on my debit card without even asking who wanted to see the final check! He also did this without anyone examining the check to see if it was correct! So a $1,000 charge went through my checking account without my permission! When I brought this to the attention of the Manager, he apologized. I told him to run an immediate credit make through so checks would not bounce because of his incompetent waiter. He said he would take care of it. The next morning, I am still short in my checking account. What the hell is happening at The Palm? So when you go, just assume you have a rookie water that needs an explanation for everything you want. Make sure you don't give him a credit card without inspecting the bill. Make sure you return any item that is NOT up to the quality that you expect from this once great restaurant. I will never go back to the Atlanta Palm. Their standards do not meet those shared by other locations in the company. If you are ever in Vegas or LOs Angeles, don't miss the experience at The Palm in these cities. Management there knows how to run a restaurant. As Donald Trump would say, "What a disaster!"

Better than Ever

By Jeff F |

The recent renovation to the Palm - in the Westin Bulkhead lobby is quite nice -- a pleasant change from the old one -- which took just a bit of getting used to -- about the amount of time it takes for Mandy to make a Bourbon Old Fashioned. The new GM is one of their best -- Andrei is well know at the Palm, remembers almost all of the guests and makes the place run like a swiss watch. Michael, the asst GM - also on point. The Food is "the Palm" - doesn't change much -- always reliable - top notch quality - served with outstanding service from many wait staff who have been there for well over a decade or more. The Bar has expanded - and accommodates the many large groups who book into the Westin. Got to be an improvement for the restaurant from the prior configuration. Several private dining rooms -- nice open atmosphere - and still a classy steak house in a town (Buckhead) surrounded by many fine steak restaurants. The Palm is more than solid choice while on the road -- it has become a favorite that I return to often. The staff is simply the best -- and Food is great -- and if you like Palm restaurants -- will never be disappointed.

Business Luncheon

Amanda in events and Jimmy the server were spot on 5 Star for my business luncheon. My clients really enjoyed the food and also the tempo of the service. Fantastic place to have a meeting.

Palm is a consistently good steakhouse. Our service was great. Great steaks, and veal chops made up our orders - our sides were all excellent - the lobster Mac and cheese and au gratin potatoes were very good.

Best value in Atlanta on live Maine lobster

By Edward P |

Service and food were top notch as usual. Atlanta's best value on live Maine lobster. My only issue was I do not believe they recorded my 837 Club Card, and it was a relatively large tab.

I hate missing the kickoff

By halfmetaljacket |

Had reservations for 4pm on Super Bowl Sunday. The waiter brought drinks and bread and disappeared. It took a half hour to get our order taken. (Young lady who covered was great; but too late.)......Veal Marsala excellent, crispy calimari good, $39 sirloin poor (chewy and stringy).......$100+pp is poor value for uneven quality and a disappearing waiter. And.....I hate missing the kickoff.

Delicious

By Melissa R |

Due to COVID-19 the restaurant was not crowded mid afternoon which was perfect for me. The food was delicious. We had the steak and sea bass and both were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sides are a la carte but large enough to share. It is pricey but it's a nice restaurant in Buckhead, so it was expected.

A cut above!

By GSD671 |

Recently dined here to celebrate a birthday. Service was off the chart. Our waiter, Michael, made the whole experience memorable. Food was excellent, as expected. There are a lot of high end steakhouses in the area, The Palm is definitely worth your time.

Birthday Dinner

Palm Atlanta is a very special restaurant. The manager Andrei always makes you feel like your occasion is the most important to his team at the Palm. The Palm Atlanta is an Italian Steakhouse that offers the best chicken and veal parmigiana in the city. The steak selection will rival any steakhouse in Atlanta. The staff has been trained to treat each guest, each occasion and each event like you are only people in their establishment. When I watch my wife enjoy her filet and potatoes it’s worth every penny. Ask for Jimmy L. or Jeffrey C. to make your experience special. Booth 36 is the best seat in the house.

Fantastic Ribeye and service

By trevelyon |

Went with a group of 12 last night. One of the best Ribeyes I've ever eaten and my comrades shared the same opinion. John the server was great. Wine was reasonable priced for bottles and the steaks were just fantastic. Going again before I leave Atlanta.

Adore the veal parmigiana

By SushiSusie |

I can't help but order it but the steak is also amazing as I've sampled my husband's on two occasions and heard the accolades from my friends this trip. The chef is accommodating and will always prepare a side of fettuccini or linguine Alfredo with the parm, upon request. For an upscale restaurant, I always enjoy it but I can't give it a five because not every last detail is consistently a five. The Brussels at $13 (all sides are family style but I can't wrap my brain around one price fits all), had the a part of the "trunk" on them and not much flavor. The mashed potatoes were salty and so was my and my Alfredo for the first time. Though I appreciate the accommodation, this time it was salty with way too much Parmesan. I couldn't eat because I mixed it in with the marinara from my veal. Everyone raved about the desserts and the portions were plentiful and as always that veal parm is consistently good. The service too I need to mention is also consistently good. I wish I had gotten a picture of the bone-in steaks because those are amazing in taste and preparation, but I do have one of the huge serving of chocolate cake and the donut holes which I heard ravings about as well.

My new favorite place to dine.

I absolutely love this place. The food and the staff are absolutely amazing and I can't forget about the drinks. The atmosphere is very cool and laid back. Thanks Julie.

Convenient location in the Westin Buckhead

By Thecip |

Stopped in for Apps and Beer. Bartenders were great and the app portions were impressive. Higher end crowd not really a jeans and t-shirt place though I was wearing jeans and a polo at the bar. Not too bad priced for a couple beers and apps but enjoyed my time and went back a few times.

Delicious Steakhouse

By Daniel Freire |

The Palm is famous for itself, with history going back to NY city. This was my first time at the Palm, and I have to say it was worthy every minute. Wine list was very good. From the bar we moved to a table where service was extremely prime. Appetizers list was wide, but the carpaccio was fantastic. Could have asked another one as it was delicious. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Siders in family size could be shared in between all of us. A very good option for sure. Highly recommended !

Good Food. Exactly what you expect.

By WAOM |

Our group of eight had a delightful dinner in a semi private dining area. The service was attentive and our food was prepared nicely. Appetizers included an interesting riff off of crab cakes. Most people ordered large, good looking steaks. My fish was prepared perfectly and the portion sizes for everything were extra large. When you dine at The Palm you expect a great meal. This dinner delivered just that!

Great Meal, Great Service, Great Steaks

By DallasDoc |

We were in town visiting our daughter during parents visiting weekend for her college. Took her to the Palm restaurant for a well needed steak meal. The table, ambiance and service were excellent. Steaks were excellent as were the appetizers and sides. Desert was wonderful. The desserts topped it off well. This was not the best place to consider if you are on a diet, however. All in all, a very good meal.

Another excellent experience at the Atlanta Palm

By Joseph A H |

My wife and I took a friend to the Atlanta Palm for his first experience and it was excellent as it was our first time some twenty plus years ago. We had a good table, a great waiter who we have known for many years and the Summer Special menu. We ordered our normal surf and turf to showcase to our friend why we go to the Palm along with salads and a side. Everything was exactly as it should be. Excellent. We finished off with a slice of carrot cake and coffee. The 837 membership makes coming to the Palm even more rewarding. We will be back again soon.

Awesome dinner

By SimplyBob |

Terrific meal and matching service. Mike was attentive and personable. My wife's lamb chops were spectacular. My 14 oz filet was cooked to perfection. The goat cheese whipped potatoes were a great side item. Round Pond Cabernet was an excellent pairing for these entrees.

Great location with good grilled steaks.

By daniel s |

I often stay at the Westin and enjoy this restaurant. It is very "old styled" in that most of the servers have been there for quite awhile and oftentimes remember your name. The service given is to notch. The steaks are aged and cooked to perfection. i love the surf and turf.

My husband and I wanted to take our 2 adult son's to The Palm for their first time. We were celebrating my youngest son's birthday. Felicia took great care of us and really made Matthew's Birthday Dinner Special. Thank you!

Wonderful Evening

By Brandon G |

Our dinner started with complimentary champagne for our 10 year anniversary. We had the lobster bisque as a starter, and it was wonderful. My wife and I both had steaks and we split the 3 lb lobster. My wife's filet was delicious, and so was my NY Strip. The lobster claws were delicious. We closed out the meal with carrot cake and a cappuccino, and both were top notch.

Fine dining in the Westin Hotel

By madamson5 |

Since I had dinner plans for the same night, ate lighter than would be expected at this very high-end steak in Buckhead area. Enjoyed an excellent kale salad and a delicious red bean & chorizo soup. White tablecloths & high-priced entrees - but otherwise not your typical dark steakhouse feel because it is very open & bright - literally in the lobby of the Westin.

Spoil yourself at lunch

By David E |

This was my first time here since the remodeling and the first time for lunch. The expansion is really nice and I imagine is great for the after work crowd. I was here for lunch and as I have done at quite a few The Palms, I had the power lunch. This time I had ceased salad, the skirt steak a la Chirassco and cheesecake. The steak was awesome. Cooked perfectly rare with a really fresh Chirassco sauce on the side. The cheesecake is to die for as usual but as usual, you need to take it with you or you will not get out of your chair. I sat at the bar, had a wonderful bartender/waitress and will make sure I stop by again when in Atlanta.

Delicious food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere

By HeatherM11 |

Relaxed, friendly and service-focused dinner at the bar at The Palm. Nice, helpful staff; excellent menu, from soups and salads through dessert, and all-around great experience.

Mother’s Day lunch-thank you Oliver!!!!

By Drew K |

We had an amazing experience for Mother’s Day. The food was great and we were fortunate to have our favorite server, Oliver, available for our experience. He made every effort to meet our needs and was even able to accommodate our Nana’s 10am request for lobster. We hope to be back very soon! Thanks again Oliver and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Top tier service and extremely well prepared food!

By JH1092013 |

From the time we were seated until we finished our meal the service was outstanding! To be clear, this is an expensive restaurant and you expect service to be tip top. This restaurant does not disappoint and they exceeded our expectations. Our waiter was Don and he did an excellent job taking care of us during our dining experience. More impressive was Melissa the Palm Concierge that came by check on our service, our meal and our experience. Her attention to detail and wonderful conversation made the dining experience over the top. Thank you Palm for a great experience, we will definitely be coming back!

Pleasant but disappointing food and high prices

By ParisMartel |

This restaurant is very attractive, a very pleasant place to dine and the service is excellent. However, we found the food to be mediocre, not at all worthy of the exorbitantly high prices - even with the copious servings. Not many wines by the glass and the prices for these are also very high, at least they are good.

This restaurant lives up to its reputaion as having consistently good food

By adalbert3 |

I was staying in the hotel and had just arrived in town via plane and did not have my usual energy for trying some of the new hot spots in town. In addition, even though I have always liked The Palm at a few of their other locations, since I am not an Atlanta resident, I usually like to go to a restaurant you can only find in Atlanta, and not a chain. Most of my buddies go to The Palm for a great steak, and normally they are very pleased. I was not feeling it for steak, so I was not sure how happy I would be with my restaurant choice. I had the tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella--which as expected was fresh and hearty. However, I could not have been more pleased with my Chicken Parmigiana---it was extremely moist, very flavorful and frankly one of the better chicken parmigianas I have had in a very long time. The service at the restaurant was good, and I left a very satisfied customer.

Valentine’s Day dinner

By M.H. |

Husband and I decided to have this year dinner at The Palm Atlanta. I will start by saying the customer service was the only reason I decided to give 2 stars! Everyone was welcoming and provided fast service. As dinner arrived the food was very mediocre, small portioned for the rate. We left still hungry! I don’t mind paying for good eats but this place was far from that. Very mediocre dry, bland tuna steak and my Husband lamb chops were over cooked. We didn’t complain made the best of the night & decided we wouldn’t return to this restaurant again. Next morning my husband wakes up to see his card was charged twice for the dinner. He called to make restaurant aware of the situation and finally spoke with Michael a general manager who provided no care of how inconvenient it is to double charge someone $400 plus dollars for dinner. He stated it looks like the second charge was voided and will fall off. This place is a total joke! Avoid Atlanta is full of good eats and The Palm Atlanta, is just not one of them.

Excellent Chicken Parm

By Hollymc3 |

Ate here after a long day of traveling. The chicken parm was excellent. The only downside was having to order the "sides" separately

Two Fine Nights

By George M |

Had the pleasure of dining at the Palm two nights. Both meals were exquisitely prepared and customer service practiced the best in Southern Hospitality.

Fading Legend, Fading Fast

By jack770 |

Essentially, this steakhouse, so long touted as iconic, suffers from what seems to be extremely poor management, and in various forms. From my seat at the bar, where I dined, I was able to witness and overhear inappropriate complaints from staff and an actual argument. The food was all right, nothing more, and I noticed as well bartenders making drinks for themselves. All in all, sloppy and unprofessional, especially given the pricing.

Birthdays and Lobsters

By BTtravels |

We have enjoyed The Palm for many years and more than one location. About 10 years ago, we started the tradition of celebrating my husband's birthday at The Palm and partaking in their summer lobster fest special. When we returned this year, we were taken aback by the remodeling. No longer can you enjoy the old charm The Palm is known for, rather they are uncharacteristically now a very open floor plan with no intimate seating and did away with most of their famous cartoon art work. The dining space seems about half of what it once was, with what looked like a couple of large rooms closed off (and dark, not being used). Their bar is now the Westin hotel lobby bar, opened into the lobby. This new look made the restaurant very loud (it was extremely difficult to hear the wait staff and each other). Also, the new bar set up encouraged a very informal atmosphere where a lot of patrons dressed in shorts and flip flops, a departure from the old time ambiance. The food was okay. We felt rushed through part of our meal and yet there were long waits for other things. Their timing was way off. The lobster was good, but the side dishes were lacking. There was no lobster in their lobster mac and cheese. Their Brussels sprouts were greasey. We ordered one of their drink specials and found it to be bland and mostly (disproportionately) ice. I don't think The Palm will survive much longer. I attribute the remodeling choice an attempt to compete with the new successful restaurants that are dominating the screen now. I no longer feel the food and service are worth the expense.

Fine Quality & Atmosphere

By ReddiTugo |

Great Valet service from Westin. Enjoyed lunch in booth. Salad, NY Strip Steak, Cheese Cake + Coffee. Excellent service & food. Relaxed friendly place—no rush. Famous faces cover the walls, especially that one up there of my pal Gina! I’ll be back.

We Love The Palm

By PonyMimi |

We live in Dallas and are so sad our Palm has closed. While on our summer road trip we decided to treat ourselves to a fabulous Palm dinner here in Atlanta. The Palm never disappoints!

Buckhead Steak

By 880deniset |

Our trip was motivated to it being connected to the Westin which we were staying at. We were seated quickly and our waitress dispatched to take our orders. My crab cake was the best I have ever tasted. No fillers pure crab meat. The slaw was the perfect accompaniment to balance that rich crab cake. Not to be outdone the calamari was pretty tasty and was ample in size for an appetizer. Our brussel sprout side dish was a bit mushy but all in all a successful meal

Not ever again

By Greenjeanpa9 |

I was out with my family whom I hadn’t seen for sometime since the pandemic and I just wanted a nice night out to enjoy everyone. It is why I didn’t make a big complaint about the way my food came because I didn’t want to ruin the evening. By half way through my meal every was surprised why I hadn’t eaten much. I couldn’t hold it back from my family and I explained it was burned. I turned the meat over and it was burn to a char. I was surprised that it got out of the kitchen but I guess with all the cheese and sauce made it easy to get by the chef in charge. Everyone was upset and finished with there meals everyone lost there taste for dessert and we just left. I know I should had spoken up earlier but when you try to make a nice night you really don’t want anything to mess it up. This wasn’t my first trip to the Palm but I am certain it will be my last. My advice to those that are going or paying a lot of money for a meal. Price does not determine quality.

Thanksgiving Dinner 2017

By A C |

Ambiance is great if you like fine dining. Good wine selection. The menu lists seafood, chicken and steak, including a variety of salads. The food is good, the portions are decent and prices are high. My dinner bill for 7 people was about $423.00 (including tax).

They ran out of lobster on my birthday- Disappointed

By Cee50 |

Looked forward to having the 3 lb lobster that is talked about so much. When we arrived and were told "sorry, no lobster tonight" I was so let down. It was only a little after 6:30 or so. Whatever we wound up ordering was some lonely consolation. Want to try again, will call first to ask -Do you have lobsters today?

Best Restaurant in Atlanta

Great dinner spot in a great location

By Susan A |

We made dinner reservations to celebrate my birthday. We had a lovely booth and found a Birthday card signed by all the staff waiting for me. What a special touch! Our server April was a delight and very attentive and engaging. We had the 8oz filet and Seared Sesame Tuna that were delicious. We shared the wild mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes. They served the most amazing tiramisu for a birthday wish -The Palm restaurant never disappoints! I was a frequent guest at the Chicago location until they sadly closed and will always seek out The Palm when I travel.

The Palm Atlanta

By Carrington G |

I stayed at the beautiful Westin Buckhead which houses this restaurant. We checked in and assumed the restaurant would be a great as the hotel. Our waiter was super nice, but there seemed to be confusion as multiple people would come back to back asking the same question. I ordered simple pancakes and the rest of the group ordered more complex orders. My food did not arrive until everyone else was finished. My fiancé ordered French toast, and rather than bringing my pancakes they brought out another French toast. The pancakes were soggy when they finally came. Another member of the party ordered a side of sausage with his order and even that has an issue, they only gave him one piece. The restaurant looks great but the issue is with the service.

Overnight in town dinner

By FrankTastic_Traveler |

It's was just alright, glad to taste that the food keep the standards of the other Palms we have visit but the service was rather sad, it was fast food restaurant service. It took forever to get a bottle of sparkling water. Other tables got even bread before we could get water. Want to believe that waiter was trying to be efficient and bring cocktails, wine and water all at once...NO! don't do that. Finally drinks came... As expected, all together and at once, guess what? No bread. We have to call somebody to please bring it. Nice appetizers and nice main courses, again, service wasn't good. Advice, avoid the tables close to he bar. That's a are very loud area. We will return just because they deserve a second chance.

Great Steak and Lobster

By atm900 |

We dined at The Palm restaurant in Buckhead (Atlanta, GA), and it was our 3rd time dining in this location. It was nice to have some new appetizers on the menu, like the coconut crusted scallops, which were superb. We have always enjoyed the broiled lobster, which is one of the main reasons why we choose to dine here, and it did not disappoint either. It is always succulent, buttery, and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the bone-in rib eye, medium rare. It was served medium rare as requested, and seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of searing. It practically melted in my mouth. Our waiter timed things perfectly and recommended an excellent wine as well to pair with the steak. The atmosphere was energetic (it was a Saturday night), yet it was not loud, and we could easily talk with out having to shout. We can't wait to come back!

Try the Tomahawk steak and Lobster Ravioli

By bhlraven1916 |

What a great evening. We celebrated my daughter’s 33 birthday in grand fashion at the Palm!!! The drinks are great!!! Not watered down and the right blend of alcohol and mix. For appetizers we had crab cakes, lobster ravioli, lobster bisque, Caesar salad. You have to try the lobster ravioli, definitely a hit. The side dishes we had mac and cheese, asparagus, mashed potatoes, and wild mushrooms. All the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Great flavor and the right amount of seasoning. The main courses we had Seared Scallops, Filet Mignon, Tomahawk Steak, Shrimp sauté, and Prime NY strip. Everyone loved their dish. The steaks were tender and juicy. If you get the tomahawk, come with an appetite. Y’all remember the Flinstones?? They have valet parking that’s included. Make sure to take your ticket and get it stamped or you’ll have to pay. The service was impeccable. Ask for Jimmy Logan!!! Best service since being in Atlanta and that’s over 100 restaurants my family and I have dined at. Top notch restaurant and I will definitely go back.

Great Lunch

By 870Paul |

Met my Son for lunch as we always enjoy our meals here. I had the 3 course Power Lunch.....choice of couple salads/soup.... several choices for main entre and a couple of deserts to pick from.........and all for $26 bucks if I recall

An engaging evening

By Kpin66 |

Attended an engagement party at the Palm....Cocktails were delicious, as was the dinner of Atlantic salmon fillet, green beans, mashed potatoes, and New York style cheesecake for dessert....The atmosphere could not have been better!

Always awesome

By lauriec451 |

Our favorite dining spot in Atlanta. The food is always delicious and the service is fantastic. We love their steaks...always tender and juicy. The creamed spinach is best in Atlanta. And for a splurge try the crispy onion rings. Always ask to sit in Jimmy Logan's station. He remembers everyone and what they like to order. He is the best.

Where to dine to close the 'Deal"

By Al S |

Palm in Buckhead provides a great dining platform for business lunch plus a romantic location for dinner. Service is always impeccable and GM Andrei Caciula always drops by to kibbitz and make sure your getting taken care of.

PALM

By lobels |

Your always guaranteed a great meal at the Palm. They have locations all thru out the USA. This location is inside a hotel which changes things up a bit. The biggest difference from this location versus other cities seems to be the wait staff which is much younger then in other places. Food was excellent with the exception of the overly fatty bacon. If it was my choice, I would eliminate it from the menu and go with the traditional tried and true or find another supplier or make the cut a little thicker and less fatty before it leaves the kitchen.

My First experience at the Palm

By MT |

I went to the Palm on Feb 13th to avoid the crowd at 2pm. Wanted to have great steak & lobster before the superbowl game. Told the it was my first time in. Server came over gave us time to review menu. Ordered steak 1 well and other medium with garlic mash potatoes and 4lb lobster with 2 glasses of red wine. Pouring the wine some spilled on white cloth 👀. Was told only had 5 lb lobster and up so got the 5lb. Steak came out and was med rare and one well opposite order. They Apologized gave shrimp cocktail comp. Send steak came out one was correct and mine was rare oh can you bring out the mash potatoes oh sorry. Chef came out Apologized. Wanted to cook for 3rd time but was time leave. I only had 2 shrimp and over $350 dinner. Yaaaaaaaa I could have went to longhorns, apple bees, or even local bar and had steak cooked correctly the first time.

Outstanding food and service in the heart of Atlanta

By J K |

The Palm in Atlanta offers an exceptional dining experience. The food is outstanding — I ordered the Bolognese, it was expertly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service is equally impressive, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who make you feel well taken care of throughout your meal. The restaurant’s atmosphere and location add to the overall experience — elegant, comfortable, and ideal for both business and personal dining. Will definitely be stopping back on my next Atlanta trip.

Delicious Summer special.

By trainstar5 |

I've dined here last year and the lobsters are so delicious. The Summer lobster special, 3lb split lobster for two with mashed potatoes, broccoli & a salad. So good. Although you can't dine in at the moment, they have curbside pickup. Fantastic, I'm very happy because this is one of my favorite restaurants.

Birthday lunch

By Cynthia B |

I have been to the Palm in NYC and was so happy to see one in Atlanta because I loved it. We did the 3 course meal and it was amazing and I can't wait to go back! The portions were huge and so reasonably priced. We did the 3 course meal for $26 and I got two nice pierced of filet mignon cooked perfectly. Our waitress Kelly was amazing and so incredibly sweet. The man that was clearing dishes and helping out was so nice too. We really enjoyed our experience and was so happy to see people that actually were nice and enjoyed their job. Thank you so much! We will be back! The Andersons

Save room for the cinnamon doughnut balls

By jbains |

This was my first trip to the Palm but won’t be my last. We met there after shopping at Lennox Centre so we needed to relax. The wine list was good and while the bourbon list was short it had Angel’s Envy and that’s what counts. We shared the Ahi Tuna appetizer and a 4lb Nova Scotia lobster that was perfect. Robert assured us the warm cinnamon doughnut balls with strawberry drizzle were low fat so we indulged. I think he may have lied but all Is forgiven as his service was exemplary.

An awful experience

By Delegal |

I have eaten here many times and usually had very good experiences. This was the exception and bad enough to make me not want to return. The only good part was the bread and the water girl. As for the bad: the host was less than welcoming and aloof. We told him we were escaping the hurricane. He responded without cracking a smile that he certainly hoped we didn't bring it with us and walked off. The lobster bisque had a few flakes of lobster meat and was the thickness of water. Waiters that don't write down the order often get it wrong and this one was no exception. He was pleasant enough, but forgot the bernaise sauce. The steak was closer to 6 oz instead of the 9 oz ordered and was cold by time the bernaise sauce came out. To make matters even worse, the waiter had body odor so bad that it was nauseating every time he approached the table. And don't bother to fill out the customer service card. It's been two weeks and I never heard anything back.

New Years Eve Dinner

By 870Paul |

The Palm is one of our favorite dinning spots. This evening was REALLY busy as we expected. Jimmy, our waiter (and the best), kept things going best he could. From what we could tell, his bussing help did not help him as they should have. The Sea Bass was as good as ever and my better half's NY strip was perfect. Our other guests enjoyed their steak and pasta dishes. Carrot Cake best in ATL.............Andrei attentive as always .

Fantastic food and sservice

By kmr858 |

My husband and I reseved a room for our wedding reception. The service was above and beyond. The wait staff was kind and anticipatory. The food was fantastic, there were 12 of us, all ordering a variety of items. Steaks (prepared to perfection), chicken, pasta (even prepared mac and cheese for my 2 yr old grandson, salads and of course the carrot cake. All delicious.

The place for steak and lobster

By Brent V |

One of the best restaurants in the area. Nice wine list. Great steaks, seafood, side dishes. Desert is to die for..........Key lime Pie, Donut holes with dipping sauce. Service is top notice. Never had my water glass get low.

A good experience...

By CobaltConnection |

Our first time here. Our group was staying at the Westin. When I called the hostess for reservations, and told her we were staying at the Westin, she said we had to enter from Peachtree Street, not knowing that The Palm was part of the Westin lobby. Bizarre. Service from Robbie was excellent. Food was very good.

A lot of tasty food

By WorldTravelerKJ70 |

Upscale atmosphere, good food in large quantities, served by great staff. Had the chicken parmesan and there was enough food to feed a family of 4.

Great lunch

By Charles |

Staying at hotel, the Palm located in the Westin Atlanta Buckhead. Enjoyed lunch terrific service. Ordered the Power Lunch which included three courses w options. The Caesar salad, broiled scallops and flourless chocolate cake were delicious. Waiter as well as manager were welcoming, courteous and professional.

Don’t be fooled...The Palm doesn’t rise above the rest

By JamesC458 |

Another “hash-house diner” disguised as a high end restaurant. Only most diners have friendly, professional staff, appropriate seating for your size group, and great tasting food. Sadly the Palm has none of this and it’s amazing how much they expect you to pay for such poor performance...it’s just a shame! This restaurant is clearly resting on its laurels from long ago. Today you’ll find they are only going through the motions...and barely able to pull it off. Even after we had to send our first meal choice back because it was inedible, our second choice wasn’t much better. Instead of apologizing upon learning of my dissatisfaction that the cod we ordered did not taste fresh, our waiter chose to criticize me and make inappropriate excuses for the rubbery texture of the fish served. The “chopped” salad was pulverized into mush and smeared on to a dish. A totally unappetizing presentation that I have never experienced before. We didn’t even consider trying a dessert. Poorly prepared food, cramped seating, surly waitstaff, sky-high prices...I’ll dine anywhere else. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone when there are so many better choices nearby.

Food and service

By Kimberly R |

Greasy food, poor service. What happened to the palm?? It use to be upscale. The staff use to be looking good and knowledgeable about wines and food. It’s not like that anymore.

That'll be the first year of your college tuition, please.

By S S |

Stayed overnight at the Westin, decided to try it since it's in the Lobby area. Be careful ladies, if you're wearing heels the floor is slippery! I guess they're known for their great steaks *shrugs*, but I didn't want red meat, so I opted for the jumbo crab cakes. Can't really go wrong there, it was your typical crab cake that came with literally a 1/3 cup of coleslaw - AND THAT'S IT!!! All for the whopping price tag of $38.00. Wait, what? Unnecessary! LOL. My date had fish. I think it was the King Fish, but not sure. That was tasty, but also tiny with a few corn kernels they called corn relish underneath the fish. THAT'S IT! LOLOL. All for the whopping price of $43.00. Man, I tell ya.....Buckhead's prices are ridiculous! Our server was cool and the ambiance was nice though.

Good steakhouse

By Taker269 |

Dinner of four friends ended up with 2 Cesar salad, one shrimp cocktail, one fillet mignon 3 steaks medium done, 1 kea lime pie and a bottle of red wine. That was a very good dinner. We skipped the lobster special but that was very tempting to refuse but we did. Server was very good and attended.

Exceptional

By Kelly M |

I ordered the 8-ounce filet mignon. They also had a 10-ounce filet mignon. The filet was seasoned with a coarse sea salt and garlic rub. It was an exceptionally prepared steak. Definitely the best that I've had in a very long time and the best that I could find in Atlanta Georgia. You pay for you're entree, and then you pay for any sides you want added to your entree. It allows you to make your dinner as large or small as you would like. Exceptional service and beautiful restaurant. This is a must for quality everything!

Never a disappointment

By xlr8tin |

A glass of wine, a basket of bread, an order of half and half, with a west coast Gi Gi salad, and a medium filet....Masterpiece! You can't go wrong with The Palm. Great food and service every time. Situated conveniently inside the Westin Buckhead.

Let down

By Chini A |

Took business partners out for dinner. It took 1 hour to get our dinner. One of the dishes was cold. Other food was good. Service was very poor.

Under Seasoned & Waste of Money

By gabriella |

I have been to fine dining restaurants before, but this restaurant left me very disappointed. Our waiter said that he recommended some of the best steak dishes that they had on their menu and that’s what we ordered. When the food came out it looked and smelled good, but it was extremely under seasoned. It also had this burnt taste to it. However, we did order a crab cake for the appetizer and that was amazing !!! But our bill came out to be $200. In my opinion, this dinner was not worth $200. I would have been more satisfied with Chick-Fil-A. Not to mention that when we requested straws, our waiter handed us the paper straws with his hand. There was not cover or anything on the straws. This is during the time where COVID-19 is going around. I mean what was he thinking ???? I was extremely dissatisfied with this whole restaurant. Service: was just okay Food: Terrible Price: Not Worth It Save your money and go to Ruth Chris and enjoy well seasoned food with amazing customer service.

Excellent Upscale Dining

By Elgin C |

A client gave me a gift card to the Palm Restaurant, but the nearest in Florida was more than an hour away. Simce we were traveling to Atlanta, we decided to visit that location. The Palm typifies upscale dining from the exceptional service we received from our waiter Renny, to his support team who made sure we had everything we needed. We started with bacon wrapped scallops, which were outstanding. For the entree my wife had the veal parm and I had a 16 oz ribeye. Everything was cooked to perfection and Renny suggested a Malbec that will definitely be added to our personal wine list. Great experience all around!!

Service so bad it makes you think you are on Candid Camera

By Bill M. |

So, we pull up and there is no place to self park and no valet. Then we go into the restaurant and are seated and no one brings us a menu for 15 minutes (had to go find the menus myself). Then the waitress comes over with a scowl and asks if we are ready to order (no welcome, no greeting, no happiness whatsoever), and then we order and the appetizers come out fairly quickly, but the main courses take 30 minutes AFTER the appetizers were cleared away, and then we couldn't get ketchup for our side order of french fries despite asking 3 different people for the ketchup. And the place was 75% empty. Had to flag down the waitress from across the room to get the check (she never stopped by to ask how our food was). And then when we went outside to leave the valet was not there and we couldn't find our car. Why would you go to this place? Service so bad it makes you think you are on some sort of candid camera show that studies how much a person will endure before leaving.

Like Family

Lovely lunch and beverages with my new Bride. Our server Crystele was amazing!!! She made us feel like feel like family!!!

Great meal and evening.

By Lee C |

Certainly not inexpensive but one of my top three places to eat regardless of cost. You can count on exceptional service and food. Valet parking and easy access in Buckhead in The Westin next to Lenox Sq. I've eaten here an average of 8-12 times a year and have never been disappointed. The recent renovation is very nice but it cost me my location on the wall. Steak or 3-7 pound steamed lobster with a side of Lyonnaise potatoes w extra onion and extra well done. Italian dishes are excellent. The crab cocktail is pricey but exceptional. Treat yourself.

Never disapoints

By Thomas G |

My second visit to the Atlanta Palm. It has been redone and enlarged since my last visit so it is larger and less intimate but nevertheless comfortable. Service was prompt and very pleasant. Upon showing my 837 card I was recognized as a regular. The food including my usual NY strip was excellent and came without delay. The manager came by to check on things. The Palm is not cheap nor should it be. It is worth what you pay. I have been to maybe a dozen Palms around the world and have never been disappointed.

Lobster done right!

By Vinolvr29 |

My mother and I learned about the lobster dinner and we are SO glad that we did. The lobster was plentiful, succulent and very reasonably priced. The sides were good, but not as good as the main event! It was so good that I returned the following weekend with my husband. I'm already looking forward to next year!

Dinning

Food was prepared beautifully. Seasoned to perfection. Cooked exactly to order. Wait staff was attentive and professional. I was dinning alone and thoughly enjoyed the experience.

The Palm in Atlanta

By Kim D |

My husband and I have early dinners on the weekend at The Palm in Atlanta quite often. This past weekend we decided to invite our son and daughter to join us to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. Since our daughter was coming home for her birthday weekend, we also invited her to bring 3 of her girlfriends as well. The gentleman, and the gentleman he was training, made our daughter feel SO very special by surprising her with a champagne toast to celebrate her special day, as well as a “birthday” desert. When I made the reservation I had no idea that they were going to do these so very special things for our daughter. This is one of the many reasons why The Palm in Atlanta is second to non as it is for Atlanta restaurants in our book. The service and hospitality is like no other, and the food is always superb! Thank you for helping us to make our daughter’s day special!

Great Experience

By Trailblazing |

The food and wait staff was exceptional. I had steak and it was very good. Good wine selection. Definitely would recommend for business meetings.

Hotel Dining...

By DaisyDot24 |

I have been to many Palms and this one did not deliver. First of all it is in the hotel lobby and as such there is a lot of hotel bar traffic which make the restaurant very noisy. It felt more like an average hotel restaurant than a high end steakhouse. The appetizers were all good, nothing special but good. The service was the main problem, it took about an hour between appetizers and the delivery of our entrees. Then our desserts came at three different times. It was odd, we would get one, then about 5 to 10 minutes later the next persons would show up. I also expect more from the service in a high end steakhouse, they should clear the table, sweep the crumbs away, place silverware in the appropriate place, etc. Overall disappointing for the price and The Palm reputation.

Good meal at a high price in a noisy environment

By joylama |

The Palm is located in the lobby of the Westin hotel. The restaurant is very lively, bordering on to loud. Members of our group sampled a wide array of dishes with no complaints. Food was well prepared and servers were prompt and courteous but hard to flag down. Prices were high making this a good expense account restaurant. We were staying at s neighboring hotel so I can't comment on parking.

Business Dinner

This Restaurant is a Classic Italian Steak House, our Waiter was just outstanding and always smiling.

Great late night

By MSP |

We stopped here late after arriving. The bartender, Chad was quite perfectly the best server/bartender we exprienced during our 4 day stay in Buckhead. We ordered the lobster, crab cake and fries. Each item was cooked perfectly and delicious. Great food with even better service.

Classic Steak and Lobster

By SoBelle27 |

The Palm is about as classic a steak and lobster restaurant as you can get. Great service, cool drinks, delicious food. The new renovation has opened the space up nicely and the bar scene is lively business casual. That being said, there are other steak places in Atlanta that take dining up just the slightest notch. BUT - you can never go wrong here and it's always consistent so have fun!

Chicken Parm

By Expert Traveler |

Dined at the bar. Enjoyed the chicken Parm. It was big enough to split with a friend. The wine was good. Enjoyed a Pinot Noir. Service was good.

Night at the Palm

By alanhelfman |

Frequently go to the palms in New York and the quality of food here was just as good. Service was excellent and the layout of the restaurant was much better. Tables are spread out instead of being on top of each other. Somewhat pricey but that's the palm. Definitely recommend it when they have their summer lobster promotion

Delectable dining and superior service

By Susan R |

The Palm at The Westin is an excellent dining destination for steaks, seafood and much more. Portions are extremely generous and sides are made to share. The staff is expertly trained in answering questions and suggesting dining options. The freshest salad options, Prime aged beef, Italian dishes and delectable desserts. All of the wait staff was cordial and worked to keep our glasses filled and see to our needs.

Unlike other Palms, not in a good way

By Fritz |

I love Palm restaurants in many cities, this is not one I love. It is not well appointed, it is in the lobby of a hotel, immediately adjacent the noisy lobby bar. At other Palms I have had wonderful food and service, not here. My lobster came out missing a claw, really? And our service was horrific, it took forever and there was zero attention to detail like one might expect at a high quality restaurant. There was one very busy waitress, no assistants and no one who cared. We had three deserts delivered 10 minutes apart each, how do you even do that?

Over rated

By Mary W |

The food was horrible and over priced . Our bill was 624 .And it was even worth 100. The salad was to wet the crab cakes had no taste the waiter was slow. Just a bad over all experience. Don't believe the hype. And what made it so bad it was my granddaughter 18th birthday. Mary Weathers Lawrenceville GA.

Wonderful Evening

By Susan N |

We dined here last weekend and had a great time as usual. I just wanted to write this review to complement the staff. Everyone we encountered from the bartenders to the servers was great. Our waitperson was phenomenal! He made several recommendations both on and off the menu and everything he told us about was perfect. He was not pushy or trying to up sale us he just did a great job. We also enjoyed talking to all the other servers working in the area. We were watching football during dinner and they were all watching the game as well. Wonderful food and exceptional service! We will be back soon.

Good Service, Fresh Food!

By Freemind01 |

Located in the Westin Hotel in Buckhead, the Palm restaurant in Atlanta, according to its website is a is a 90 year old restaurant with its first location in NY. We visited the Palm while on a short stay at the hotel. The atmosphere is not romantic like I expected, but it was quite different. The restaurant walls are adorned with caricature drawings of local celebrities. I was a little disappointed that the entrees didn’t come with sides. For example, the “Italian Chilean Sea Bass corn relish” is literally the fish on a bed of corn relish. If you visit hungry you will need to order a side dish. The sides are quite large so can be shared. The restaurant also offer private dining menu which can be customized. The food was fresh and the service was good.

Solid Burger!!!

By Mr. Oke |

Usually I don’t eat at restaurants in or attached to a hotel but I was feeling a bit lazy from traveling. Certainly wasn’t disappointed nor hungry after. Burger was nice and thick and was pretty damn good.

Well, it's The Palm.

By cowbulls |

The Palm at The Westin is an excellent dining destination for steaks, seafood, and much more. The portions are substantial, and the sides are made for family-style sharing. The staff is expertly trained in answering questions and suggesting dining options. While there are many superb dining options such as fresh salad choices, prime-aged beef, and Italian dishes, the star of the show is the lobster. The desserts are also decadent.

Late night dinner

By dreamingparadise |

We decided to stay in Atlanta overnight and The Palm was an easy choice as it was so close to the hotel. We had filets, 3 cheese au gratin, wine, and a couple of cocktails. Everything was perfect. The service as was expected - top notch. The only thing was that we self parked, and the parking was a bit confusing as most spots say reserved or have a number. We fou nd out, that on weekends, you can park anywhere. We will definitely be back.

An Average Evening

By Jingle |

I was not overly impressed with this restaurant! In my opinion, the entire experience was certainly better than average, but not by much! The food quality was very good and the Wait Staff most adequate! Perhaps it was just one of those nights!

The Steak and Eggs Breakfast YUM

By Linda M |

I had breakfast at The Palm my first morning there. And it was absolutely delicious! Usually when I order my eggs over hard, I get over easy, The Palm did it right which made me very happy.

Better than other Palms

By jadon06 |

Very nice restaurant located in Westin Hotel. Easy and good service for valet parking. Interior is better and more open and not as dark as most Palm restaurants so good from that perspective. Menu is typical Palm fare and always good. Tuna appetizer is excellent if you like sashimi style. As always expensive so good to go on expense account.

Nice Dinner

By Mamjensen |

We ate here with a large group of business associates. The food was quite good but the experience took too long. The whole thing lasted 3 hours when 2 would have done. Our server was very nice. The tiramisu at the end was frozen so that could have been better

Successful Business Event

By Kevin S |

We had a business dinner last week for a group of 40. Food was very good, and service was outstanding. The Palm staff was very accomodating given that nailing down the number of participants was a challenge. Would recommend the Palm to anyone looking to host a similar event.

Valentines Dinner Date - Lobster and Steak!

By MarcDfromATL |

My wife and I went here for Valentines dinner... It was the first time I had been back since they redid the bar... I will say it took me a minute to get my bearings - you used to go back into a separate bar "room" that felt kind of private and separate from the hotel. It now feels more like a hotel bar - you can see the lobby while sitting at the bar. It's not bad - just very different than before... I was so accustomed to the previous layout - I am not sure I warmed to this new one very well. I personally liked the separate bar and being closed off from the traffic of the hotel lobby. Our waitress was very good - attentive and just the right amount of "chatter"... we ordered the lobster and steak (filet and bone in rib-eye)... it was very good but I will say we prefer the lobster and filet at Hal's to the one we had here. The lobster was a bit dry. I had a scallop appetizer that was fantastic. We shared a chocolate cake that was very rich - and pretty Da_n good! We did not have any cocktails or wine - so apologies - can not comment on that... but unless they have changed things - the cocktails should be spot on! Overall a nice experience - but not necessarily one that we are dying to repeat in the near future. Nothing really wrong or bad about it - just kind of average. Perhaps this was why I was able to get a reservation on the Saturday night of Valentines day two days before.

We Love The Palm Atlanta.

By Jill S |

Fresh food, beautifully served. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The lobster is fantastic, the veal and chicken parmigiana is delicious and the veal chop is amazing. The service is attentive. The staff are our friends as well as our family. What more could you ask for

What a great evening

By jdteeth |

Held out Emory 40th reunion for some friends from my fraternity. The people at the Palm took great care of us. We had around 32 people there. Everyone enjoyed their food. And the kitchen and servers handled the large group perfectly. Choosing the Palm really made this reunion that much better.

Husband's 50th Dinner Party

By Shalonda G |

I decided to give my husband a surprise party for his birthday and The Palm was the perfect venue for it. We used one of their private rooms; and although it was the day after Valentine's Day, they accommodated us with no problem. I did not have to worry about adhering to a minimum balance or extra fee for them slicing my husband's cake. Establishments should understand that you can get more from the customers when you do not nickel and dime them with little fees here and there. Amanda, the Sales Manager, was so attentive to every detail for me and provided insight to help me make the best decisions for what I was envisioning. I did not have to worry about a thing. The food was amazing and my guests told me multiple waiters were always in the room making sure my guests had everything they needed before my husband and I arrived. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant again.

Sorry Service for Overpriced Greasy Food

By mbarker4 |

Arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 pm were waited on promptly and appetizers arrive in a timely manner. After that it was a disaster. I had the wedge salad and husband had oysters. Salary was greasy oysters were okay. Our waiter never returned. Had to ask a waitress for our food and we finally received it at 8:00pm. When the food was placed on our table is wasn’t even warm. This tells me my waiter wasn’t attending to our table. Restaurant was not busy. So for $200 my 47th Anniversary was ruined. Will not be back. Yes I complained and was asked what do you want me to do. Poor customer service. Do Not Eat Here!

Lovely dinner

By DEBRUNY |

Needing to spend a night Atlanta for an early appointment the next day, my wife and I decided to stay at the Westin Buckhead so that we could dine at The Palm restaurant which is located at that property. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine at the bar which is basically part of the hotel's lobby. We were then greeted by a charming older gentleman who seated us where we chose to be (not a booth) and it turned out he was going to be our server and not only the host greeting us.To start with my wife chose the "Clams Oreganata" which arrived piping hot, they were rich and delicious and brought back memories of N.Y.C. and Long Island where these are a staple of many American steakhouses and seafood eateries. I had just ordered a simple small "Caesar Salad" to keep room for the big steak I had ordered to follow. The Ceasar was only average, the dressing was very very light and the Parmesan could have been Parmigiano Regiano shavings instead of what was served. Same for the croutons, not buttery, not especially good, as I mentioned a very average Caesar Salad! The second dishes were then delivered, my wife had selected the "Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes" according to her they were absolutely delicious. Almost too much crab if that's possible. No, this dish was sensational. My steak arrived, I had chosen a 16 oz. aged "Rib-Eye" ordered it rare. The meat was delicious, seasoned and cooked appropriately with some butter and parsley flakes. A great choice. We had also ordered a side which was "Three-cheese Potatoes au Gratin. This side was not at all good. Basically stale overcooked scalloped potatoes smothered with square cheese with an orange rim, barely melted, the potatoes not even warm enough. I do not recommend this side. All in all I give this meal a 4 out of five. The server was charming although a bit pushy with mineral water ($9) and the larger order of wine by the glass 9 oz. instead of also offering the available 6 oz. We would have ordered 9 oz. but we like to be given the choice. I have experienced nicer Steakhouses in the past, Halls Chophouse in Charleston S.C. is largely superior for the same price. When you spend $250 for dinner for two without deserts nor an expensive bottle of wine, your expectations are high as they should.

What a nice surprise!

By londonkid |

I was not expecting much from The Palm, but what a nice surprise. The drinks were excellent, the service was excellent and the bar food was excellent. As we were not dressed for the restaurant we ate at the bar and it was very enjoyable and prices were very fair.

TERRIBLE service, decent food

By GeorgiaBlondeGirl |

First, we were seated an hour and a half after our reservation time. It took a very long time for the waiter to take our drink and appetizer order once we were seated. The waiter was not all that friendly either. The food was good once we got it. The steaks were good quality and tasted okay. I do not recommend paying in cash. One of our party paid in cash and as we were leaving, they stopped him saying he didn't pay. They made him pay again. He paid several hundred dollars for a steak and some wine.

OKAY AT BEST

By MrMrsJLW |

My husband and I visited Christmas Eve for an early dinner. First the hostess attempts to seat us on an almost closet sized room with two kids in the booth behind us that clearly had way too much sugar. NOPE. Mind you, at the time, there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. AKA, PLENTY of room to seat a couple comfortably elsewhere. We are reseated and promptly greeted by our waiter. Calamari was subpar. First try it wasn’t cooked enough so we asked for it to be cooked longer. Instead of the chef preparing a new batch, they literally just refried our order. It was under seasoned and so was the red tomato sauce on the side. DO NOT ORDER! Entrees and sides came and were decent. Crab cakes were good and the veal chop was good yet a bit under seasoned as well. Onion straws were good and mushrooms were okay. Experience was just okay. Could have been better for the amount of money they require.

Hit or Miss

By V. Lewis |

The food is hit or miss and the drinks are overpriced. They have a great wedge salad! But I wish they would be more consistent with how they make it and the presentation. I ordered a baked potato one night and it was the saddest baked potato I've ever been served at a restaurant. it looked microwaved, not baked. No salt crust, just a limp potato. Luckily I didn't pay for it, otherwise I would have been more upset about it than I was. I ordered a gin martini but they were out of the gin I requested. The bartender, who was very nice, offered a comparable gin. It wasn't comparable at all. It had floral notes which makes for a disgusting gin martini with olives. If you want a real steak restaurant, visit New York Prime, Bones, or Hal's and skip this chain. If you're super hungry after a late check-in at the Westin, it will do.

Food great, service not so good

By Angie T |

I was disappointed that when I arrived for breakfast about 9am, and although there were only about 4 tables seated, and there appeared to be 3 waitresses, I had to wait to place my order. The hostess greeted me with a big friendly smile and seated me promptly. However, I apparently drew the grumpy waitress....all around me the other two were engaging their tables in conversation and being very attentive. My waitress was certainly not interested in making my morning experience warm and welcoming! My food was good and served very hot, however, I only had a choice of white, wheat or an english muffin for breakfast bread....room service indicated there was a much wider selection including whole grain, sourdough, etc. I did like that they had one gentleman who was delegated to keep the coffee coming and he was attentive. So I guess it is the luck of the draw....if it wasn't for the grumpy waitress it would have been a 5 star experience.

Excellent food and staff

By Alisa B |

We enjoyed breakfast here two days and it was quick, healthy and delicious. I unfortunately did not get an opportunity to try the steak and lobster but it certainly did smell delicious.

Amazing service!

By Heather C |

From Breakfast to Dinner the service and the food was absolutely amazing! Shawn and Kat went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. We so enjoyed hearing the history of the restraunt and how it began. Their attention to detail and making sure we were out of there on time for our concert was surely appreciated. We have traveled to Atlanta for many years, and this by far was the best service we have ever received! The food was delicious and the service just topped the cake. Well done on making your customers feel like royalty!

An excellent choice for a business meal

By Jack P |

The service and the atmosphere are very conductive for a business dinner. Menu selections are very good and served with a flair. Try the chocolate cake for desert.

Bartenders rocked!

By j g |

Was a long day, was a guest at the hotel and just really wanted to have a couple drinks, a quick bite to eat and go to bed.... Bartenders were so friendly and interactive I ended up having many drinks and stayed longer than had originally planned. Definitely will go back :)

Best meal in Atlanta in a long time

By Chinapjs |

The food is very, very good. Better then an excellent meal I had in The Palm a year ago in New York. And that restaurant is the original. My wife and sister had the lobster. Fantastic. I had the veal on the bone veal parmigiana. It was superb. Try the calamari friction to start and finish with the New York cheesecake flown in from NYC. Might try the fried donuts too they were sinfull. Great service and reasonable wine cost.

Disappointing

By hollyh614 |

I hate to say but it was very disappointing. It was expensive and very loud! The service was great. I had the lobster bisque. It was spicy and not creamy. I did t like the flavor. I ordered the special sea bass with lobster truffle mashed potatoes. The fish was good; the potatoes were hard and not so good! My husband ordered a 4 lb lobster for $99. Not very much meat except in the claws. I was told the brussels sprouts were crispy, they were not! The only saving grace was dessert...the carrot cake was delicious as was the cheese cake. There are a lot of excellent restaurants in Atlanta. This is not one!!
