The Parthenon was chosen since we were out of town staying in Union Square. My husband and I went on a Monday night and most tables were occupied. We skipped cocktails and wine, and since we were not tremendously hungry decided to split an appetizer and entree. The pita bread and tomato tapenade, spanakopita, and pomegranate souvlaki were all perfectly seasoned. The spanakopita had a nice flaky crust. The souvlaki yogurt sauce was delicious. Our service was personable and the service was fast.

The food quality was excellent, but the food portions was TINY. It gets a high rating on TripAdvisor – – I’m very surprised cause there is no value.

We popped in here because it was right beside our hotel and we were hungry and exhausted from a long trip. We ordered greek salad, keftedes (appetizer portion of small beef rolls), tzatziki and greek fries. They brought a basket of fresh, hot pita triangles and a tiny bowl of dipping sauce (greek salsa?) that was delicious. The greek salad was huge! We couldn't finish it. The beef rolls were delicious (I had one bite but hubby inhaled the rest). Greek fries were so good. Topped with feta and came with a bowl of ketchup (but I dipped them in the tzatziki). I asked for a few pitas for the tzatziki because it didn't come with any (my only complaint) and they brought another basket with the greek salsa. We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday and it was pretty empty but by the time we left it was full. Great servers. Very attentive.

Welcoming staff, prompt service and hands-down THE best Greek food I have had in a very long time. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Feta, olives and pita were..chef’s kiss!

On holiday wanted a nice meal sadly couldn't say our experience was good my starter was Spanakopitia which was pastry with nil filling my husband had clams which were just okay .Mains was a chicken Souvlaki and beef Souvlaki which was overcooked and both tasteless ,the wine was lovely, sadly we paid bill minus a tip and really wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food .ps was extremely noisy.

The food is FANTASTIC! We started with hummus and melitzanosalata with pita bread. If you like eggplant, please try the melitzanosalata. Next was the the Roka salad, with feta cheese and beets. The ambiance is adorable and the staff is attentive. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed eating here.

Great Greek restaurant with friendly staff and great service. Food was authentic amazing and reasonably priced. Lovely clean and stylish.

Excellent authentic Greek food. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Mid-price range but great value as nothing is left.

I was visiting from out of town and by luck found this restaurant - and I was so glad I did. It has a very nice interior, great lighting, perfect ambient noise level, just the right interior size. For food, I had the arugula salad and lamb chops, both were great and prepared perfectly. The staff were awesome, friendly, attentive, but not too much, so a really good balance. Anyway, this was easily the best Greek restaurant I've been to in a looooong time. Would definitely go back.

Our group of 5 came to The Parthenon during a conference. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere quite welcoming to weary travelers. Great wine list with multiple options (Greek and others) by the glass. Appetizers and pita were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Highly recommend the pomegranate souvlaki. The portions were generous. Overall wonderful experience.

Came here on our 1st night in San Francisco as it was near our hotel. We were so impressed we came back 3 nights later to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. Food a service were exceptional and great value for money. Across the two nights the best of the best were the octopus and calamari appetisers and the lamb chops and seafood pasta mains. Only been open a month or so but is highly likely to survive based on what we have experienced

Excellent food and service, so good we went back again during our holiday. You need to book as it is so popular and rightly so.

We had a wonderful traditional Feta Cheese Cream Sauce pasta here. The Baklava was served in an innovative way and was delicious. Good wines. Good service, reasonable prices. Make a reservation!

In my experience, Greek restaurants in the US come, as a rule, in two categories: (i) fancy and expensive and (ii) mediocre at best. Thankfully, exceptions to the rule exist and this place is one of them. Great food, no fuss, friendly service and, my pet peeve in San Francisco, no unexpected surcharges / fees / mandates on the bill. Just tax and tip, like in the good old days. I cannot comment on the wine list (since I had to abstain after too much alcohol the night before).

This has a traditional Greek menu with other Mediterranean influences. I had the avgolemono soup and Greek salad. Both were excellent. The soup was thickened with yogurt rather than egg which was a nice twist. They have an excellent wine list reasonably priced. The staff are from all over, including Uzbekistan and Turkey. They all seem unfailingly pleasant and eager to please. I recommend this little place unqualifiedly.

What an unforgettable meal! The service was fantastic—everyone was so friendly and made us feel right at home. I cant wait to return this wonderful restaurant
Meh .. but would try again
It was very busy and we had to sit at the bar .. we probably should’ve come back at another time - the appies and cocktails were delicious but our mains were cold and that was disappointing. I might try again but with a reservation. The service was as good as could be expected with as busy as they were.
