Delicious food. Great menu selections. Good wine list. Flavorful robust and pretty dishes. Service was over the top. Pizza crust was nice and crispy.

We stumbled upon The Purple Garlic when we were heading to see a relative in San Antonio. It was amazing! The service was great and the food was delicious!!!! Would definitely visit again.

Visited there for lunch and had the Greek salad and the Pizza Roll Husband had the eggplant parmesan. We both loved the salad. The pizza roll was delicious and husband about licked his plate clean. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. The decor of the place is great and we would definitely go back. We did not purchase the cinnamon rolls but saw them from a distance and they looked amazing!

We have been going to the Purple Garlic on Austin Hwy for years and have always loved it! They opened this location recently and we were dying to try it. It’s different inside than the other location, it’s kinda like a small Italian cafe found in Italy:) The wife had Eggplant Parmigiana, said it was one of the best she ever had:) I had the standby Spaghetti and Meatballs, the red sauce is so dang good and my wife said the same, you probably won’t be disappointed with any of the menu items, it’s a cute place for date night or dinner with the family (no kids area like the Austin Hwy location) we will definitely be back, oh, it get really crowded on the weekend nights:) ,

If you like garlic, this is the place! Roasted garlic appetizer is great, as is the spinach-garlic salad. Portions are generous, service is wonderful. Atmosphere quaint and rustic.

Hard to imagine a proprietor refusing to sell waiting customers a glass of wine because staff was busy! Told us to wait until we got a table! If she had enough time to talk to us at the bar.. she had enough time to pour! We should have walked because after 15 minutes we were seated at a rickety cheap metal patio table at end of bar. So unstable it had to be held against the wall to keep from swaying. Average food with minimum amount of protein on plate.

Visited for a very late lunch. My favorite part was the atmosphere. A small Italian bistro. Good jazz playing in the background. Prices very reasonable. I had the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Very tasty. Bread was good too. Kat my server was very personable and kept my drink glass full. I will be back.

Happy Hour worthless. Waitress forgot item ordered. Eggplant dish a disaster. There are better places. Cute inside though.

Outstanding food and service at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken piccata and enjoyed every bite. The breading wasn’t too heavy and the capers and lemon butter were very flavorful. My daughter ordered the pesto pizza and my wife had the soup and Greek salad. Highly recommend!
Check Wine prices to not get ripped off
When seated I asked for a wine list and the waitress said "We don't have one and are still working out what wines we will stock". I ordered the house red (which is horrible) and the wife ordered Chianti. She had the penne pesto which she enjoyed and I had the chicken piccata which tasted OK but the chicken was overcooked and dried out. The big surprise was the bill. $7/glass for the house red wine and $13/glass for Banfi Chianti which retails for $14 for a BOTTLE!
