The food and service are outstanding along with the cocktails. It’s little expensive but to be expected for the service it provides.

We did return because it was excellent the first time. Ditto this time. I had the filet mignon again with double broccolini. No salt on the table but I didn’t need any. I had the Pinot Noir again. Had the Caesar salad. Oscar had the cervice and duck salad, he loved them both. Oscar had couple of old fashions and enjoyed himself. Jess had porchetta. Dawn had the filet mignon and kept some for a sandwich at home the next day. Love the vibe and decor. We will return in one of our next trips to San Diego.

Came here with daughter back in April for spring break. We came back four nights in a row for many reasons. The hospitality and service are absolutely impeccable!! The quality of steak and oysters alone have put every other fine restaurant in San Diego to shame! The restaurant and staff have elevated themselves far above any "competition"! We just ate last night as I flew in to pick my daughter up for the summer, and we will be back every single time we are in town!! Gehrig did a phenomenal job and we will happy to him again as well! It was a pleasure to be recognized at the door when we walked in for our reservation by the stellar management and host staff upon arrival! Our experiences have been so amazing every time I tell my friends and post all over my social media! Again the staff is on a far higher level than Eddie Vs and Del Frisco's to name a couple. If you want an astronomical dining experience visit The Remy!!! Can't wait to come back in July!!

Have driven by here time and time again and based on reviews we’ve read, decided to dine here for our anniversary. Mighty glad we did. It was an excellent experience! Our service was first rate and the steaks we ordered were outstanding. This eatery has gone into our top five favorite restaurants in San Diego. We will definitely be dining here again.

First time diner at this restaurant which has been open about eight months. It is a new, updated remodel of previous restaurant. Atmosphere cool and inviting. Well lit and decorated. The service was impeccable with friendly staff who did not hover or rush us. Lunch menu small however enough variety to have choices. Both diners had the spinach salad, one with steak as the protein and the other with shrimp. Both were good with a flavorful salad dressing. Cheesecake was our dessert choice and it did not disappoint. There is a large wine and specialty cocktail list. The restaurant has ample parking and I easily accessible as there aren’t any steps. Certainly will return. .

I DIDN’T EXPECT THIS BEHAVIOR IN 2024! My husband and I went to The Remi today for the first time for what I had hoped would be a romantic dinner. When we checked in at the host stand and let them know that it was our first time to the Remy. The host and hostess asked us whether we wanted to sit for dinner or go to the bar area for happy hour which had 15 minutes left. I told them that we were interested in dinner. The response was “why not do both?” So upon their suggestion, we went to the bar area first and I ordered a glass of wine. The bartender was friendly and nice. A nice member of the wait staff were nearby where we were sitting, telling another staff member that they were bored. I smiled and said “you won’t be for long, we will be joining you soon for dinner.” After about 20 minutes, the bar area had less than 5 people left in the bar area. I went back to the host counter to let them know that we were ready to be seated for dinner. It was shortly after 5 pm. They said they had no table for us. The bar was empty. The parking lot was half full. We were a party of two. They said they had no table for us. They did give us the option of ordering our 50+ dollar a plate Filet Mignon in the corner of the empty bar, but we would not be seated in the dining room. I explained what we were told earlier. This manager didn’t apologize and didn’t care. I told him that we would not be back and we left. We are professionals in our 50s who were nicely dressed for a fancy steak house dinner and did nothing to deserve this. I didn’t expect this type of treatment in the year 2024.

Our 3rd time at The Remy. An unhurried evening, spent close to 4 hours. Cocktails, conversation, followed by, AGAIN, an exceptional meal. Last season our group had its annual Holiday Party and it was an exceptional evening Staff have always been attentive, courteous, and not hovering! If you have a mind to dress for dinner The Remy is a good place for that. The building is the old Hungry Hunter, a classic San Diego steak house. The Remy remodel is inspired, capturing what it once was, the old school hunting glide, but with its own reimagined character!

Nice, quiet upstairs (so many restaurants these days are very loud and it hard to hold a conversation). Feels like a classy supper club or country club. Excellent Filet Mignon and Pinot Noir. Three of us shared a tuna appetizer (3 pieces), yummy. Reasonable pricing on the steak. I will definitely come here again the next time I'm in San Diego.
Great service, delicious food
My new fave. My husband and I just left this restaurant with full bellies and smiles on our faces. We loved our waiter (Gehrig, like the baseball player!) He recommended the steak, the steak sauce, the soup du jour and dessert. We ordered it all and it was all delicious. Great service , great food, lovely atmosphere too. We'll be back!
