Came for a late afternoon snack. Charcuterie board of house made treats was decadent. Cheese plate was overflowing and had amazing choices (a truffled, ash washed rind cheese and a Spanish aged cow’s milk cheese.) Honeycomb, lavosh, marconas, raisins presented attached to their grape stems. A salad with very wild peppery arugula. Lovely. Waiter brought a small crudités plate to start (on the house) and macarons with raspberry gelée with the check. All was lovely.

Loved the eclectic menu. The oxtail ravioli is an absolutely awesome dish. They have a good beer selection and some tasty appetizers.

Ok, this steak house is fantastic! I visited knife with some colleagues. Wow! Started off with several of the appetizers. The bacon is amazing. Who knew there was so many types of bacon. They each had a distinct flavor. The steaks were so good! Cooked to perfection with lots of different choices. The sides were also fantastic! I recommend the spinach, mac and cheese and onion rings. The ambiance is ok but the food quality totally makes up for it. The service was very good. Totally recommend!

Spent way too much money last week at Knife. Service pretty good, tartare pretty good- ordered the ribeye, wife had the pork chop. Ribeye decent--but who can mess that up? Pork Chop overcooked and dry. if you are looking to spend too much money for dinner and drinks--try Pappas Brothers instead. Knife reviews seem a bit inflated, certainly after you pay the bill...

I made a reservation through Resy to have an early dinner here. Only a countertop was available, so we had dinner earlier and got a standard table. It was easy to find. We got dropped off, so I'm unsure about parking. We were greeted and shown to our seats right away upon walking in. The restaurant didn't complete the two hours we were there, so I'm not sure why the countertop was the only available seat when making a reservation. Regarding the dress code on the website and text about it, that was not the case when we arrived at the restaurant or even after we saw other guests arrive, which is okay. But I'm just saying. Moving on, our server, Alberto, was very nice. Beneficial and made suggestions on the menu, even drinks. The food was delicious, and the drinks were pretty good. The only issue I kept having was the flies, followed by mosquitoes, which made it a bit uncomfortable, at least for me.

Great outdoor space and staff. Meat of course is incredible but I was disappointed by the sides and the overall menu

It is difficult as a business traveler to eat by yourself sometimes. Weather breakfast or dinner Knife makes you feel like a welcomed friend. The food is so good that I have yet to have to pick up the salt or pepper shaker . If you are there for dinner ask for Michael - he is a pro, makes the best suggestions and really makes you feel at home. Thanks Knife for making business travel feel good !

You are going to pay a hefty price for your meal. But it will be an amazing dinner. Knife was the location of a big family dinner while visiting Dallas. I have family members that know the owner well. Pricey - yes? We spent about $220 for just 4 of us. Worth it - most definitely yes! The aged steaks are to die for!

The service, wine, and salads were great....over all the place is good. But for me the noise level is too high...Tuen down the music please. Their rib-eye steak ...24oz....was tooo big. This was the small ribeye. Next size was 32oz... For me the steak was over seasoned...to much pepper and salt. It was however cooked to perfection at a true medium rare state. My suggestion, to reduce waste and save on doggy bags, is to offer smaller steaks or suggestions of sharing....

Ate in the restaurant and stayed in the hotel. The arrogant chef decided to throw a party last night outside in the courtyard three floors behind me and hired a DJ who played very loud house music until 1am. Thanks a lot. Have to catch an early flight home. Personally he is a bit conceded for his mediocre food. Had a better steak at Ruth's Chris. He needs to get over himself.

Service was great! Food was delicious... hard to decide what to order, portions were big and they offered so many options.

Sorry to be the spoiler Nice place We sat in the patio which was very nice Bacon tasting was ok Yellow tail starter was nice We took the 32 oz dry aged ribeye which was highly recommended but I make better steaks at home Steak tartar wasn't good Sides were great and chocolate coffee desert was really good

Went here and was seated at the kitchen so I could get “dinner and a show”. I had the “pleasure” of hearing the staff in the open kitchen curse, talk about impregnating someone, and about lesbian encounters that one of the female cooks had. HIGHLY inappropriate if you are going to have an open kitchen with paying customers right there. As for the food- steak was average. The bacon topped Macaroni and Cheese side- for $12 I should have passed. Served in a small container, questionable if there was even bacon on it. For the price- skip and go somewhere else. If you decide to eat here, get a burger (which doesn’t come with fries that’s and extra $7) and sit far away from the open kitchen.

Top notch restaurant in the Highland. The service was professional-attentive but not intrusive. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Salads were crisp and well seasoned. We split the risotto and it was near perfection.

We took our daughter here for her birthday dinner & were not disappointed. Enjoyed a cocktail from their well stocked bar while eating our salad & avocado fries. If you like avocado, order these! They are delicious. Our entrees were two burgers & two strip steaks. My daughter & husband enjoyed their burgers. Although, the fries were over cooked....hard shells with no potato inside. Our son-in-law & I ordered the strip steaks. Mine was the best I've ever had. Delicious texture, seasoning & cooked perfectly. We ordered the green vegetable which was roasted cauliflower & Brussels sprouts. These were very good. We also had the mac & cheese side dish, & also very good. Normally we skip dessert, but since we were celebrating a birthday we ordered the chocolate dessert & the strawberry dessert. The chef also sent out a beautiful strawberry cake with a sugar happy birthday sign. These were all delicate, and delicious. Then after the check was taken care of, we were surprised when a small plate of sweet treats and a wrapped muffin arrived for each of us! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special celebration or event.

Double date one weekday evening. Made an easy reservation on Open Table. Great service throughout the evening. We went family style and split a dry aged sirloin and short rib between the four of us. They were awesome! Preferred the short rib over the sirloin, but barely. Good quantity for four with 3 sides. Sides were all good as well, especially the salsa verde fries! For sauces, get the Au Poivre. Skip the chimichurri....basically colored water. It was a nice early holiday dinner and highly recommend a visit!

This place is a little precious and curated for my taste but the food was absolutely excellent as was the service. My husband and I split a large fillet and had sides of onion rings and creamed spinach. Really the best meal we've had in a very long time.

Although I'm not from Dallas, I have eaten at this restaurant several times. It is a contemporary steakhouse that serves excellent food. The steaks are seasoned well and seared over high heat to create a crusty exterior that is tasty and seals in the cut's juices. Side dishes and appetizers are also very good. The restaurant is on the street level of the Highland Hotel at Highway 75 and Mockingbird Lane. This restaurant is very popular beyond just those that stay at the hotel, so you will need to make advance reservations even if you are staying in the hotel. But don't despair; even without reservations, you may be able to sit at the chef's table, have an excellent meal, and be entertained at the same time. Parking is by valet parking, which will be comped for those dining at Knife. If you want a steak with a contemporary flair, this is a great place.

I agree with many of the reviews. Has a HOTEL atmosphere, so not typical high end place. The tables and overall look is nice but not a place I would go for a special occasion. BUT and here it the big BUT, The food was great. Burger was WOW, tomato salad was amazing had it as appetizer, the bacon tasting was great, the steak rib in bone was cooked perfect, so you give some up for this. The wine list is average, and 2 bottles I picked they did not have, so they may need so help in this area. SHAME the entire package is not their but the food is a 5 STAR

Invited by a vendor to meet for a weekday happy hour. Not crowded at all. It's in the lobby of The Highland Hotel and within walking distance of SMU. You must have the bacon flight with bacon jam! Bacon from around the world. Only 5 slices but still plenty to share. Atmosphere is business-y and could lean toward romantic if the night is right. Cool kitchen where you can watch them prepare your dinner.

My husband and I were in Dallas for a wedding and Knife Dallas was conveniently located in our hotel - Highland Park Hilton. Our waitress went over the menu and explained that they had a particular 17 ounce ribeye bone-in steak , a "left over piece", from an earlier order that had been aged for over forty five days. When my husband decided to go with that piece, our waitress immediately reserved it for him for our dinner. I chose to go with a six ounce filet. For our appetizer, we went with the Bacon Sampler - out of this world and served with bacon & onion jam. We split a Wedge Salad, a recommendation from our waitress, and we barely put a dent in it. Our sides with our entrees included Avocado Fries, Roasted Okra, Tomatoes, and Bacon, Creamed Spinach, and Butternut Squash with a brown sugar glaze. Yes, we were starving and the portions were huge. Those steaks were out of this world!! Cooked to perfection, medium rare for both of us, with a perfect crisp outer char. My husband was thrilled with his ribeye and I thoroughly enjoyed my filet. The show stopper for our meal was the side order of Avocado Fries with chipotle mayonnaise!!! I took one bite and just started laughing because they were so ridiculously and insanely delicious! Knife Dallas is definitely a cut above other steak houses that I've experienced including Flemings, Ruth's Chris, and Perry's. Yes, put this on your bucket list!!

Ok it’s not Capitol Grill or Bobs. But pretty darn good. Sides are good but more variety needed. Same goes for desserts. Service nice. Slow though not that busy. I would go back but wouldn’t be my first choice for great beef. However remodeled hotel very nice!!!

I'm not gonna lie, having just moved to Dallas, we first actually heard of this place months ago while watching some random Texas Road Trip Food Show that I can't even recall the name of and even Google couldn't help me. I'm not gonna lie, we were only here b/c we were buying a dresser at West Elm, .01 miles away, and I'm not gonna lie, I thought we would just end up at Torchy's. But, in all honesty, this was the best un-planned or planned meal we've had in a long long time! (and we know how to have good meals....) My secret to life is low expectations. With low expectations, pleasantries are celebratation worthy surprises and disappointments aren't shocking let downs. This has worked well for me all my life, except when it comes to fine dining. You can't help it, they really sell themselves by giving you high expectations to being with, and, with Knife's constant magazine write-ups and brand new, fancy Michelin star rating, even while I was planning on Torchy's, when we walked into Knife, the expectations rose way up.... I was worried. I've been let down this way before. I'm not gonna lie, this was just great! Flawless really. The atmosphere is classy while not overly stuffy, Michael, our server, was friendly and informative while not overbearing and the food just top freaking notch!! It's a shame that this morning the scale gave me the lowest number I've had in a while...... and then we came here. To be honest, I was really just going to get a salad. (no lie!) We started with their complimentary veggie and Green Goddess dressing that I new was on my right path with a Goddess dressing the best I've ever had..... But then the lamb meatball appetizer looked too good to pass up and was AMAZING!! Tender and full of flavor, it was the perfect accompaniment to the bread assortment we were offered (see also; not salad. And I ate it...) The salads looked really great though so I made my mind up on the garden version with an eight minute egg...but then ended up ordering the oxtail ravioli and OMG!!!! Perfectly portioned rich pillows of meat nestled in a cream sauce...which was not a salad. My husband (who could give an F about a scale b/c his metabolism reigns supreme) ordered one of their "Old School" steaks (b/c I'm a sucker for hot broilers and had to have just one taste of the charred steak...((not salad)).) and it was incredible!! It was just what you'd expect from a "starred" steakhouse steak. We sat at the counter and had fun watching them prepare the Flinstone sized version of cuts that went into the scorching hot broiler that I need in my life but will never have. We, of course, followed this all up with dessert that also wasn't a salad but kept the meal consistent in it's taste and presentation perfection. It wasn't too big and was light enough for me to not beat myself up over too much for. Sometimes expectations can equal their outcome, they certainly did here! And, while this is fine dining with its very own fancy Star, we've paid the same dinner tab at far lesser meals with far less amazing service than what we got at Knife. I'll skip the scale tomorrow...no regrets. We will be back! And, let's be honest, I wouldn't have gotten a salad at Torchy's either.

And missing How are connecting flight in Dallas Texas we looked up the best steakhouse in town and they told us to go to the knife. The food from the drinks to the appetisers to the actual steaks were amazing full of flavour, and exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to come back to this restaurant and try the other dishes!

Amazing food, great service, can fit any budget. Dry aged meat which is an exceptional experience led by Chef John Tesar.

We usually eat at the bar when we stay at The Highland. The re-branded restaurant is top notch. Food is great. Atmosphere is great. Bar staff makes the experience though. Go see Kendall, Gabe, Charles and Parker. They will take great care of you at the bar. If you eat in the restaurant instead of at the bar, make sure you ask for Chantelle for your server. She knows her stuff and is fun on top of it. Great place to be captive on a business trip.

I submitted an email over a week ago to plan for a birthday party of 12. Never heard anything, so i called the restaurant and spoke with a young lady who repeatedly told me i had to go online and submit a party request. After informing her twice that i had already done so, at her request i read the confirmation # i was sent immediately after sending my request. Her response after that was that the coordinator only comes in once a week…. Needless to say i started shopping for another restaurant. No biggie, reviews say the food is “Just Ok” anyways.

I don't know if it was what I ordered or my expectations coming into the dinner. I didn't get a big steak, which was potentially the problem. The service was ok (attentive waiter, other issues though), although I could've used without the constant bread service, while the plating took way too long considering our server said the entree would be out in two minutes, which was more like 8 minutes after an already healthy wait. In any case, I enjoyed the starter veggie tasting, my salad was good, but my skirt steak and fries were subpar. My colleague enjoyed his tuna tartar and burger, but I've had better cooked skirt steaks where the char wasn't overdone and the fries were to my liking. Please Michael Symon bring back the old Lola - the skirt steak and frites crushed it. The fries here were almost oily. In the end, I may try again, but I either need to get a big steak, or try a burger or pasta.

My wife and I decided to try Knife last night for dinner. The place looks nice and the food was good but I don't feel like it is worth the price or the hype. We tried the bacon sliced, they were delicious but not really worth the price for 5 slices of bacon. We also had the yellowtail, which was very nice. For the main, we tried the 45 day dry aged Akaushi Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly but I did not get the strong flavor from it that I was expecting from a dry aged steak. The mushroom side dish and the avocado fries were also great but nothing spectacular. The best part of the meal had to be the service from the Somm and also the Chocolate & coffee dessert. The overall service seemed to be hit or miss. Our waitress was great, but the person that was passing out bread and also refilling water never came to our table or some of the others. She seems to only be looking at some tables and ignoring others. I really wanted to like this restaurant after hearing a lot of good reviews for it but I do not thinking that their prices are fair for what they are serving. I expect a lot more from a meal that costs this much.

This had to be the best french toast I have ever had. The place is so sharp! Service amazing, food good and staff seemed to love working there. Try it!

Fantastic steaks. Fantastic burger. Good service. Chef has promised increased focus on fish after doing more fish at other restaurants outside Dallas, so I'll be glad to see that. The pepper crusted tuna is nearly inedible. Very thin slice of fish. A crusting of peppers that seems nearly as thick and is like a hard shell of melted peppercorns on the fish. I like a lot of coarse black pepper on tuna, but this seems almost like all pepper and no fish. Couldn't finish it.

One of our business partners took my team out for dinner here recently! I had never even heard of the restaurant when he told me he had made a reservation for us. Six courses later we were so stuffed and happy we could barely get up and walk out! We started at the bar for drinks before we went in and they have an amazing drink menu. Everyone had something different and new and several of us passed them around and tried each other’s cocktails. The wine was flowing as dinner started and I was hooked as soon as they brought out the bacon sampler. I’ll only report on the main course which was the 45 day dry aged 32 ounce bone in rib eye. My wife and I split this due to its size and all the other food that was part of the meal. When I tasted that medium rare masterpiece I wanted to get up and go hug the chef. The experience was fantastic. The service was phenomenal. The food was mouth watering. The wine was perfect! And someone else was paying. You can’t get better than this! Definitely will return here!

We went to get the 240 day aged steak that we saw on TV and they won't have it available until at least August. We started with the bacon tasting and that was AMAZING! If you love bacon, get it for sure! Then we got the 60 day aged Ribeye and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked Medium Rare. I prefer more medium but it was still so yummy. The mashed potatoes were so good I would have drank them with a straw but had to share. Ugh The pasta was also delicious as a side but was too much even for 4 people. The sommelier wasn't so helpful and she told us she wasn't "allowed to order wine from the Southern Hemisphere". Strange. I can't wait to go back and get the 240 day aged steak!

Three of us had a business meeting over breakfast at Knife. The food was good, but the menu was limited and most items were meat oriented. Two of us has eggs, bacon (they were out of sausage) and toast. All good, just limited in selection. The third had an off-menu bowl of fruit which was very good, and fresh. Very good service and a quiet atmosphere for discussion

Was told The Knife had great burgers and thought since we were in Dallas we should try a burger. The burger was very good but to be honest I was disappointed that it was served on a regular hamburger roll that appeared to be what we used to buy in the grocery store years ago. I thought for the price the roll would have been baked in house or would be a special roll. Service was very good though.

Okay, so I am a Top Chef Uber Fan, and with Tesar currently on Top Chef Charleston, I pretty much forced my friends to be a part of my obsession. When you myopically form an opinion about a Chef because of a television show, you have to see if the restaurant experience and food stand up to the hype. Overall, yes...Knife is a very good restaurant. Very high end for the guest. I would expect that form Tesar. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and nouveau elegant. We had a very nice booth space. (PLEASE NOTE: it wobbled...yes, it wobbled when leaned on by staff or when cutting the steak) Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with what was going on with the menu. It needed much explaining since it was very minimal in style. We were told many good things to do for options. The sommelier was great...had a spectacular Tesar story, and we really appreciated his suave elegance. We did the 32 ounce aged Ribeye, and it was melt in your mouth wonderful. I mean seriously...it is aged to perfection and the rub was just a party of flavor. In addition, I had to do the Penne with Truffle...Tesar will know why!! And, yes...that was an amazing dish! I would take Truffle everywhere with me. On the downside...my friend had the Tuna Steak. Just not good. I think that seafood options should just not happen. It wasn't that good according to friend, and she felt that the carrots were the best part of her dinner. My other guest got the Pimento Burger...she removed the bread...said it was too much and really was not completely satisfied. So, for the two guests who did not go with the Steak options, they seemed more disappointed. The portions were the bigger than anything Dallas style...so, yes...you can share. My overall feeling is I am very happy that I made it to this restaurant, and I can see Tesar's style from having a rocking sous chef (yes, she was a young woman who rocked that line!!!), and yes let the food talk. Tesar knows he is good...my only suggestion might be remove the seafood, and have the menu set up for family style so folks understand the sharing experience.

We had brunch here with a group of 14 celebrating a birthday. The menu was set with no prices listed. Everyone got a fruit bowl and a selection of 5 entrees. BLT, 2 eggs with toast, potatoes and bacon, French toast, salad with egg or burger. We saw all entrees at our table. I was not impressed with anything. The portions were like a child's plate! The eggs are at IHOP are better quality. There were 7 potato cubes and undercooked bacon. The BLT was pathetic. The salad was a small garden salad. The French toast was a thick slab of bread with a few berries on top -very difficult to eat. The service was mediocre. Then the bill came ...$37 a plate! You've got to be kidding! $80 breakfast for 2! Out of curiosity I asked to see the dinner menu. The same burger was $12, I paid $15 for a bowl of fruit and coffee. I will never go back or recommend. Too many great brunch choices in Dallas that you won't leave hungry.

Disclosure: I'm not a huge steak fan, so that left limited entree choices. My friends had the steaks though and raved. I had the yellow fin with grapefruit and avocado and LOVED it. Our service was a 10! the wine list was great. The bread choices great. The wedge salad divine. Be prepared to spend $$$ if you choose the best cuts of steak. Great atmosphere. I stayed in the hotel for business and was glad I tried the restaurant.

Decided to try this place at the last minute on a late Friday night. The filet knocked my socks off. Typical steak house prices but the servers were attentive and the food was excellent. I have been to numerous steak houses across the country and this one fits the bill in terms of quality, service, and decor. Would recommend.

Went here on a Saturday night. Good crowd. Really good service. I read the reviews and reviewed the menu before booking. I was prepared that it would be expensive, and it is. Our server was very good. Straight shooter, and pretty dead on with her opinions and recommendations. She recommended that we share the large bone-in cuts. The steaks were all cooked perfectly. Some chewy sections, but I expect that with the local raised beef. The bacon appetizer was awesome. Good sides, especially the grilled carrots. They provided a few extra treats with our desserts. A nice touch. Just a good experience.

Chose Knife as a place to celebrate Father's Day this year. Solid overall, with highlights being pleasant and attentive service and a true devotion to everything that is meat. Excellent food overall, we split the dry aged sirloin for two, which was enough for three or four. Onion rings were amazing and the roasted asparagus was the only disappointment, being a bit over cooked. Wine choices were deep, with a focus on higher priced offerings, but we were able to find a nice Oregon Pinot Noir at a reasonable price.

Their food and their service are excellent. They offer unique meat selections but anything is done exceptionally well. The service is on par as well. It is expensive however; might be an excellent place for anniversary or special date night. They do accommodate large groups exceptionally well if you are looking for a great environment to meet with clients.

This restaurant was recommended and it definitely met my expectations. Our server, Katy was very attentive. When I booked the reservation I mentioned it was our 50th anniversary and it was so sweet- they brought us a glass of champagne. Our steak was delicious, and my cosmopolitan was perfect. We were staying at the Hilton Highland Dallas Hotel, which is where it is located- very convenient.

Gabe and Charles took great care of me! Made my experience very welcoming and fun. I will definitely be back to see them!!

Believe it or not, I saw a FaceBook add that features an appetizer that Knife promoted that includes 5 specialty kinds of bacon. Since I think bacon should be used as a global ambassador for peace and harmony, I decided to take my wife here and enjoy a fancy meal. Because we are ‘cultured like yogurt,’ we walked in underdressed to this 5 star restaurant after a few hours at an art fair in Richardson, but no worries. We were graciously greeted and seated at a comfortable table. The Uber professional server brought a complimentary veggie tray with a tasty green goddess dip to begin the gastro-delight we were about to embark on. My wife surrendered menu choices to me and so I ordered the Bacon Tasting and the Cheese Assortment to get us started. The Bacon Tasting was outstanding. There was a bacon jam that had amazing brown sugar and bourbon flavoring that we spread on rosemary bread. Next, we shared 5 excellent pieces of assorted bacons: one from Spain, Tennessee, Maryland and two from Wisconsin. They all had different flavors (applewood smoked, cherrywood smoked, etc) and were delightful and not overly heavy. The cheese plate featured flatbreads with crusted cheeses, then salted almonds, vine ripened raisins, fresh honey, an actual honeycomb, and two delightful cheeses (one soft and one hard). The grand finale was that I ordered the 44 Farms Bone-In Ribeye (24oz) with a side of asparagus and the vegetarian collard greens. The steak was cooked to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. Beautifully seasoned, it was quite literally the best steak I’ve had in my life (and if eating steak was a career opportunity, I’d be in the Major Leagues!). The collard greens were a little bit bland and greasy, but acceptable. My wife said (and I agreed) that the asparagus was the best we’ve ever had as well. The tender stalks were topped with a light, but incredible lemon butter sauce and just took our breath away. We couldn’t fit any more into our guts, so we didn’t get any dessert. However, our server hooked us up with a couple macaroons anyway which just completely sent us into orbit. Total tab, including tip for this gastric-orgasm was $172. I’d do that once a month for that kind of incredible dining experience. If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you know what this means.....GET HERE!

Had an excellent breakfast at Knife Tuesday morning. Seating was quick, waitress pleasant and service good and attentive. I had pancakes and sausage. The sausage was crumbly, I was told before hand they were having difficulty with it. As a result it was over cooked. My wife had French Toast. It was very good. Bottom line is I thought it pricey as we spent $46 for breakfast.

Had a very nice dinner celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. The food was good, but there seemed to be some confusion as to what our table believed cream spinach was and the kitchen. My steak was cooked perfectly, the mushrooms, pomme purée, macaroni and cheese, and even the spinach was very nice as sides. The salad we had for an appetizer left a lot to be desired; but the bacon sampler was delicious. Overall a really good meal, and the staff was very attentive.

We ate there for breakfast before heading to the airport. A bowl of oatmeal was $12 which I thought was a little high, but it did come with apples and maple syrup. My fiance had their breakfast sandwich with sausage instead of bacon, which ended up being a huge slab of sausage with egg on a hamburger bun. Not quite what he expected - he ended up pulling it a part and eating the part separate with a fork. The food did taste good and the service was good.

If you don't plan to eat meat -- especially beef -- probably not your kind of place. Food was served with skill by well-informed staff. Entrees were true to descriptions. To our surprise, sides were particularly tasty. Loved the okra! While not in the thick of things, trip to Knife is recommended for excellent steak house experience.

We had breakfast here since we were staying at the hotel. The service was very good and fast. The food was typical breakfast fare offerings. It was above average. They were accommodating to my special requests.

We ate an early dinner shortly after 5 PM. As we enjoyed a fabulous meal. Our server was exceptional not only attentive care but great know of the menu and portions. My wife loved the fried avocado 🥑 side dish we had as an appetizer. We split the 24 oz bone 🍖 in ribeye 🥩. Prepared to medium perfection! Delicious. 😃👍🏼 Desserts were excellent, like Wow excellent!

We stayed at the Highland and we could smell the delicious wood smoke from the Knife in the lobby. I was surprised that some of the newer cuts of steak only cost $25-30 while older traditional cuts were more. I had the 10oz Wagyu beef cut and it was perfectly charbroiled over live coals. My wife had the pasta bolognese which she also liked. The service is excellent and the staff offers good advice on meat selections. If you like your steaks cooked over wood fires you'll love this place all in an attractive modern atmosphere.

I was staying at the Hilton Highland Curio Hotel for 3 days and had breakfast there twice. I had the omelette both days and asked for Salsa instead of Tabasco and the salsa they brought was excellent. It was a light brown, creamy, smokey and spicy salsa. I could have handled it if it had been spicier, but I'm sure they make it so most people can handle it. The price for the 2-egg omelette was too high, but I was glad it was only a 2-egg omelette, as it was the perfect amount of food. I had a voucher for $18.00, so that made the total bill quite affordable. I ate dinner the first night at the bar, ordering from the Knife menu and although they had a handful of appetizers, the entree's were huge and all of the sides were family size "a la carte" style, which is way too much food for me. I ordered the Pepper Crusted Tuna Steak with 3 Salsa's and I was pleased to see that one of the salsa's was the one I had at breakfast. The tuna and salsa's were delicious, although the steak was a bit thin. I was hoping for a 1/2" to 1" thick piece, as it was about a 1/4" thick. they had steak tartar, tuna tartar, meatballs and a few other appetizers, but it would have been nice to have been able to buy a smaller steak and a couple of 1/2 orders of sides. I would love to have tried one of their dry aged steaks. I will go back, but I will take someone with me to help eat it all.

We ordered burgers on a Sunday as they have been ranked as a top burger in Dallas by many parties over the years. One burger, ordered medium, came out perfect and dripping with juices. The other, also ordered medium, came out bone dry and almost well done. Waitress forgot two side orders and condiments requested. They came and checked on us about once every 25 minutes, or essentially once long after the food came and once when we summonsed them for a check.

We had a late dinner on a Friday night and although we were hoping we could squeeze in a little early for our reservation, it was worth the wait. We had drinks and snacks at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly. They offered great recommendations and had good service. Once seated our waitress was very attentive. We had the bacon sampler and I highly recommend it. It was sooooo good. We also had the short rib and the pimento cheese burger. I love a good burger and this absolutely did not disappoint. We didn't get any sides, but they all looked amazing. We were stuffed and were hoping to try dessert but couldn't make it happen. I love that they send you away with a muffin though, so fun!

Rarely do I rate any restaurant 5 stars, but the meal, service and extra attention to detail was exceptional. The Sommelier, Ben was more than knowledgeable on all of the wines I was interested in. I ordered a wine that was no longer available, and Ben made a better quality recommendation available with no upcharge. The rest of the meal from the carrots, 110 day aged Sirloin, pork belly and desert. Along with the exceptional wine service, the server provided excellent and timely service. Definitely on the rotation for business dinners.

I checked in today and was told the restaurant Knife was open until 11 pm. We ate elsewhere because the reviews were so bad about the staff and service. Returned from dinner at 1057 pm and went to the restaurant to have dessert. The bar and restaurant were full of people eating and drinking. The hostess said the restaurant closed 3 minutes ago?? It was 1057pm. (She meant it was closing in 3 minutes). I won’t stay at this hotel or try to eat at this place ever again. I was planning to eat breakfast there but we will go elsewhere. Worst service ever (as all the reviews I read told me).

Javier's is great for party .. it is large and boisterous fun and busy with a cigar bar on premise. The food is great also .. be sure to make reservation ab try in eat in the main bar area

Visiting Dallas for a couple of nights to attend a concert and have some fun, i made reservations for dinner at Knife because it seemed to be the nicest, nonchain restaurant in walking distance of a comedy club where we had tickets for an 8pm show. Knife is a high end restaurant featuring various steaks, with what it deems new style cuts and old school cuts. It is one of those restaurants where the lighting is a little too low. The tables are a bit too long - not made for cozy conversations- but this leaves ample room for dishes, which is really the point. Before getting to the food, I have to commend Tiffany in reservations. They were efficient and helpful in trying to accommodate my timetable when I mentioned we were attending a show later that evening. Now for the food. Upon being seated and served with water (sparkling, flat, or tap) and given menus, a waiter cane out with a tray of crudités (cucumber, celery, baby radish, carrots, and endive) and dip, which reminded me of a green goddess dressing. It was a nice touch and light, refreshing start. We ordered drinks, prosecco for me and a Hemingway cocktail for my husband. The appetizers, which are meat centric (tartars, bacon tasting) did not appeal to us, so we opted for salads, which can be ordered in half portions. I got the wedge and loved the creamy, rich blue cheese dressing over the crisp lettuce. My husband got the garden salad, which he says was the favorite part of his meal. We chose bread from the breadbasket that a waiter brings around - rosemary for me and sourdough for my hubby. On to entrees, I selected the petite fillet (6oz) with Bearnaise, and husband ordered a 14 ounce ribeye. He said it was too salty, and it was definitely too big. Many items on the menu could and should be shared. My fillet was perfectly cooked medium rare and melt in the mouth tender with a nice flavor. The bearnaise was rich and creamy with noticeable but not overpowering tarragon flavor. Our waiter recommended that sauce for the fillet. He was right. The frites (fries) that came with the ribeye were my favorite side dish and were delicious dipped in a little bearnaise. We also had creamed spinach and the sautéed wild mushrooms. Both were just okay. The spinach was more sautéed than creamed, in my opinion. It was a lot of food! We passed on dessert, but the waiter came out with plates bearing mini dessert samples - a mango gelee square, a tiny biscotti, a tiny macaron. and a mint. This was another nice touch and the sweets were just the thing to end the meal. After paying our bill, we were given each a pumpkin spice muffin to go. This and the other extras mentioned make Knife a cut above other similar high end steakhouse restaurants I've been to. My fillet and salad were perfect and that with the pleasing staff and overall experience is why I rate this four stars. My husband would give it three, but he's not writing the review.

Found this restaurant in looking for great steak near my hotel. Food was great - unexpected was the fresh veggie appetizer and I enjoyed the olive bread. Steak was perfectly cooked, great cut, tender filet. Side portions are more than one can eat alone, will skip next time and just enjoy the salad. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Knife was recently voted amongst the top 10 steak houses in the US. I’m not sure I’d go that far but the menu is decent, the food good and the service is very good. There’s a lively bar and raw bar in addition to a large dining room. I would have liked to have seen a larger variety of meat cuts in the menu, they do have several non-beef items. Good wine list.

We decide to try this place off dallas toll way. First to get there at 5:00. Several bread offered but but not great. Ordered bone marrow. Was mixed with cheese. Did not taste marrow. Sent it back. Not good and it cost $24. Ordered the10 oz filet. Almost verge of being tough. Very little flavor $48. Not going back. May not be in business long.

I’ll start by saying the service could have been a little better, but that’s the only negative thing I have to say. Our steaks were PHENOMENAL. We were in heaven from the first bite. The steaks take a bit to cook, but were so worth the wait. We also ordered pommes purée, creamed spinach, and the cacio e Pepe as a dish to share. Everything was so delicious and cooked perfectly.

My husband and I took some friends for lunch today and we got so disappointed. They didn't have any hot sides. Their fryer was broken. The menu was so limited. After "trying" to order a decent meal the waitress said the only thing we could have was a steak or a burger but the only side dish would be a salad. The heat was turned off since there were people there doing some repairs in the restaurant and I was freezing during my "lunch". Very disappointed. The manager should let us know about all the issues before we were seated . We would have gone to a different restaurant and would try Knife in a different day. Now we probably won't be coming back. And the worse thing is we payed the full price as if things were running as they were supposed to be.

We eat at this restaurant every time we visit Dallas - and quite frankly, love everything about it - the service, the FOOD, and most especially the desserts - they are simply to die for - and so creative. The steaks are amazing, and the bacon sampler a must try. Don't let the fact that this restaurant is in a hotel deter you - it's one of our favorites

Got great service from Gabriele, he was very hospitable and friendly and made my experience great! Will definitely be back to see him

Great service. Great atmosphere. Loved the food. We sat at the shelf stable two nights in a row and thoroughly enjoyed watching the food and eating the food. The third meal we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The pimento burger was very unique and delicious for lunch. The pan seared steak was the best steak I've had in years! The avocado fries were so delicious I've been craving them for three days after! I am disappointed I cannot find them anywhere in a local restaurant. The dinner meals are large and great for sharing for 2. I would recommend picking your meat and then sharing two sides. They bring you a dessert sample for no additional charge and it is just enough.

I have been here 3x in the last 2 months. After a pool day, for Easter and then Mother's Day. Had the same server for the first two and couldn't wait to come back! Comp veggies arrive quickly and the service and food were outstanding. Cute little cookies and brownies with that labeled mint after dinner really caps off the experience. Fast forward to yesterday when we tried to take my sons mother for Mother's Day lunch… After waiting 10+ minutes and receiving no waters I went inside and asked for a manager who to my surprise exhibited an air of contempt in correcting me when I mentioned "We usually have veggies and drinks by now and it's been over 10 minutes with no water service", he didn't apologize only pointing out the veggies don't come with lunch service. Our food took another 40 minutes and the water glasses were empty most of the time. Happy Mother's Day to you too buddy! I'd like to think that this was a one time thing except it was an all-around staff effort to ignore the family on the patio.

eating in the bar was fun, except they seemed to be understaffed for the diners in the bar area. The stools dont have back rests, so it makes a long evening uncomfortable. The food was amazing! We'll be back!

D Magazine has called Knife the Best Steakhouse in Dallas...it is certainly Top 5. In a city of great steak joints that's saying a lot. My wife and I had a gift card we were dying to try so last Sunday we drove over to the Highland Hotel for Dinner at Knife. The restaurant is attractive with a utilitarian flair, because it serves the Hotel for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Knife is all about quality cuts of Meat and the way they are seasoned, prepared and presented. We started with a Bacon Tasting - 5 strips of crisp, savory bacons from the US and Spain. Each strip was distinct and delicious. We then tried the Yellow Tail Tuna slices with Grapefruit and Avocado. Velvety, fresh and clean-tasting. My wife ordered the Skirt Steak and I had the 6 Oz. Petite Filet. Both were perfectly prepared and seasoned. We ordered sides of Mushrooms and Onion Rings. We paired this feast with an Equinox Syrah from France. Service was friendly and sure footed. No missteps on this trip. Chef John Tesar has achieved a beautiful blend of warmth, sophistication, delicious food and service. One of Dallas' Best.

Had a fabulous experience for my “late in life” graduation. Top 10 restaurant, dining experiences in my life. Service was outstanding, Jeff our server did everything he could to make this a great experience. The sommelier was also very attentive and a wealth of knowledge. I really liked the fact that this restaurant truly has something for everyone. (Food and price wise). You could get a great burger for less than $20 or you could get a fabulously dry aged steak to share with someone for those with a bigger budget. All of the sides were spot on as were the appetizers and steaks. Their wine selection is phenomenal as is their pricing on the wines. They’re yellowfin appetizer was absolutely the best! They truly made me and my family feel very special and we were able to have an experience that all of us will remember for a long time. Thanks again to Jeff and the sommelier whose name I can’t recall. We will be back the next time I’m in Dallas.

My wife and I had dinner here with friends and had an overall great experience. The service was wonderful, with a nicely paced meal. We shared several appetizers, all of which were great. The steaks were cooked perfectly as well. The atmosphere was modern in a Texas way. We would consider returning here in the future when visiting Texas!!

At the recommendation from our wonderful waiter we ordered the 45 day aged Akaushi ribeye at the chef recommended temp of medium rare- it was absolutely the most amazing steak either of us have ever eaten! The smashed marble potatoes were the perfect side to compliment it & the bottle of champagne was wonderful. Knife made our date night perfect & we will be back!

The first time we ate at Knife, we had not made a reservation so we were happy to be at the bar, eating from the bar menu. Loved the atmosphere and the food was yummy. On this trip, we made our reservations ahead of time and were so glad we did! Not only was the food beautiful, the flavors were different and interesting (avocado fries!), the salads were generous, the sides were hearty (mac and cheese to die for!) and my husband said his steak was "just right." High praise from him! The service (Manny!) was impeccable...just the right amount of attention. The little details were superb. Can't wait to go back.

Dined at Knife and so enjoyed a filet and wedge salad. Steak was cooked just like I requested!! Service was excellent too! I was a solo diner so I was seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Was entertaining watching them cook the steaks, sides, etc. Didn't have to wait long at all either to be seated or served. Will eat here again!!

Celebrated my husband's birthday at the Knife. Outstanding service and food. We were surprised by the many offers of bread and rolls, the relish tray and the dessert sampling at the end. My husband also received cake for his birthday. Steaks were great - came with frites. My husband and his friend also enjoyed the bacon sampler. When they remarked that they had one of the types of bacon before, our server went back to the kitchen and brought out an additional sample of one of the other kinds. We could not have been happier with the food and the service.

Ate here to celebrate my dad's birthday which is on Christmas eve. Everything was good and our server was great. It wasn't the best steak I've ever had but it was good, we had a great time and the prices were reasonable. The truffle fries are yummy! Love that they have a bread basket and also a complimentary crudites platter before the meal. Would have loved to have seen a zinfandel by the glass on the menu.

We did a walk-by and the restaurant was busy (a good sign) on a Saturday night. I'm a beer drinker, but wanted something different so I ordered the Old Fashoned drink. It was excellent. The Bar staff was definitely made up of pros. Got to the menu and it had a good selection of food with Steak as the main event. I love ribeye, so I ordered the 45 Day aged Ribeye with carrots as a side. We received a vegetable starter platter with a few juicy radishes, carrots, and other tidbits which was nice as I did not want any bread. The presentation of the steak was awesome. Double bone, cooked to Med Rare, perfectly. My Uncle told me the Filet he ordered was excellent. The Mashed potatoes (Pommes puree) was tasty and my the carrots were crispy and creamy. I ate the whole steak and even tore into the rib sections for the most tender parts. I'm a big fan of good side dishes and would like to just order a bunch of their sides as they seemed to be awesome. A new group of people sat next to us and saw my ribeye and ordered it. It looked (and was) that good. My uncle ordered the Bearnaise sauce on the side for his filet. Very creamy and tangy as expected. All in all a nice experience. You don't have to break the bank to go here, but aiming to spend some $$$ is a good plan.

$165 aged steak was awful! Except one fish tuna tartare every dish was bad. Even server noticed and manager was no where ! Ambience is of poor quality . Service was great ! Read all last few months reviews - same as mine ! Something is going wrong here ! Cheff John teaser should publicly apologize and take responsibility! Avoid this restaurant!

The service was attentive and well timed but our waiter misled us about serving sizes (causing us to over order) and he was going to let a 7 year old order a large steak until I asked about a children’s menu. We felt he was trying to drive up the bill. The restaurant could use a little spiffing up. The banquette we were seated at had cracked seats and the carpet in the bar was terribly stained. That being said the steaks are exceptional: flavorful, cooked to perfection and they offer several delicious sauces. While this is a steakhouse the oysters were amazing (with a perfectly spiced cocktail sauce) and the tuna tartare was fresh and perfectly chopped with nice accomplishments. Know before you go: you can order a half portion of any salad, the tuna tartare serves two, the onion rings are the best I’ve ever tasted, prepare to valet because parking is impossible and if you live north go to the Legacy location

The food and service were extraordinary! The staff members were friendly and attentive, and provided an amazing dining experience! The food was phenomenal! We loved the bacon sampler - I had no idea that there are so many flavors of bacon in the world! The raw tuna appetizer was a massive surprise - I never dreamed I would like it - but the flavors that evolve as you enjoy it are amazing! Of course the steaks were superb along with the avocado fries, spinach and mushrooms. The black truffle pasta was a huge hit - we could not get over the rich flavor! Dessert was awesome - we had the chocolate coffee dessert and the ginger creme brulee. This was absolutely our best meal and dining experience EVER!!!

Have been to knife multiple times. They know how to cook piece of meat. Though they charge a pretty penny for their Uber aged steaks, they are incredible. As one who has had the 240d aged ribeye, I would recommend skipping it. It is an incredible steak, but for 180$ it isn't worth it. The akaushi ribeye (30-60d aged I believe) and the 60d aged strip are both as good and less than half the price. The service tends to be good though the ambiance is less than Ideal being a restaurant establishment. Would I return? Certainly. But I would be more likely to stick to the culotte and bacon tasting rather than the Uber aged cuts.

Awesome Experience, and Awesome Bart-ending staff, Geo is like a Mix-ologist.....his drinks are PHEENOMINAL

We had a really good experience here, the steaks are phenomenal and our service was top notch, we really liked all the dishes we had. Definitely not cheap but worth the experience.

This was our second visit to our local Knife at the Highland Hotel. Again, it was good. Not great, as Tesar would tout. I had the pimento [sic] burger. It was good. Our neighbor had the pork belly. It was good. The service was good. Nothing was great. I get a better burger for half the price elsewhere in Dallas, so I think we will relegate Knife to special occasions when we want more pretense. Knife is good, but should be better.

I was expecting more from Knife based on review in D Magazine. We have visited most of the Dallas Steakhouses and I put this one middle of the pack. I think being in a hotel it looses some ambience. 10oz Filet presentation was boring and had okay flavor, not good or great. Well made Old Fashion and the MAC and Cheese was delicious. Overall good service. Appeared to have good COVID corrective actions. Just needed a more memorable steak.

Stayed at the Highland and ate here a few times. The food is very tasty. Definitely try the calamari and the deserts are so good. The setting is nice and romantic and staff are very efficient

We went here for hamburgers. They were excellent! The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very attentive. I did get a walnut salad that was very sour. When I explained it to the waitress they took it off the menu and replaced it with a different salad. The bar looked inviting. Tonight was not the night to sit at the bar and have a few drinks but I will be back to check it out!!

Nice restaurant. They pride themselves on their service and attention to detail. Any questions we had were answered right away along with fantastic food recommendations. The sommelier also suggested some fabulous wines to go with our meal. We really enjoyed our time at Knife.

Delicious dinner! Our waiter was great and the food was outstanding. Gather you $$$ and enjoy! Not quiet and romantic spot if that is what you want ... go for the food and experience. Cocktails are awesome as well. Would not recommend taking children here.

It started with the waiter who was very knowledgable of every item. Top 3 best steaks and the sides were #1 best ever. When you get them all right you deserve a #1. I am a foodie and feel that when you can get the entree and the sides to perfection then you deserve 5 stars. The waiter and sommelier made our special night perfect !! The wine was amazing along with the dessert.

Had an excellent evening in the lounge at The Reserve. The food was flavorful, the cocktails were exceptionally well-crafted, and the atmosphere was stylish yet comfortable. The service made the night truly memorable as Charles, Mary, Gabe, and Parker combined polished, relaxed service with a genuinely warm, personable touch. A fantastic spot for great drinks, delicious food, and a team that genuinely elevates the experience.

Put up with the hour and a half to get our food Steak was over cooked. Never said a word. But when they charged me $41 for a Manhattan I became up set. The manager instead of resolving the issue he became confrontational. Instead of immediately trying to resolve the issue he argued his position. Not a place to dine

So first let me say this really is a nice restaurant. As many have noted the service is very attentive but not smothering. We had an 8:15 reservation and were seated promptly. Fun cocktail list and lots of good reasonably priced wine. Comfortable seating. So on to the food. They bring crudités with green goddess dressing as a start. For some, it will be the last vegetable they consume at dinner. Being the adventurous group we were, we started with signature cocktails and the bacon sampler. I mean where else would such a thing grace a menu? So it was good, but after a while bacon is bacon. One sampler was enough for 4 of us. So on the the entrees. We split two steaks. The ladies opted to share the large filet, which was a good move. The boys were talked into an "off the menu" sirloin that came in it at $125 instead of the $100 one on the menu. On the bone. 32 ozs, if I remember correctly. Also ordered the much hyped onion rings, creamed spinach and the waiter recommended roasted okra. Thoughts? The steaks were prepared exactly to order and seared properly. Ladies loved the filet with a side of Bearnaise. The sirloin was way over glorified by our waiter. I have had better for far less money. It was honestly just another slab of beef. Thank God we had extra Bearnaise sauce to liven it up. Simply cooking a steak properly does not make a mediocre piece of beef taste substantially better. The other waiter pushed item, the roasted okra was just not good. It tasted like nothing but bacon, and without that it would have been downright awful. Onion rings? Pass. No better than you get at any chain restaurant. The creamed spinach was very good though. Not heavy on the cream which made it light and enjoyable. We ended with the Chocolate and Coffee dessert, which we split and was quite tasty. We got out for around $450 with tip as we split steaks and found a reasonably priced Bordeaux style blend. I for one would not return here anytime soon. It is after all located in a hotel and they provide food all day long for guests. As such, they are not entirely focused on the dinner menu. Our waiter, bless his heart, pushed us to a couple things we simply would not have ordered otherwise and would have been happier without. Had we ordered 4 entrees instead of two, the bill would have pushed $550-$575. Sorry, but I expect sensational food at that price and this was not that. I have spoken to others who have eaten here and they feel no reason to return either.

Ate here for dinner with the two of us; excellent service and very attentive. Not a large place with an entrance from The Highland Hotel and from outside on Mockingbird Lane. Best known and widest selection for beef, the melt in your mouth kind. Fish probably good here but makes no sense to me to have fish in a steakhouse in Dallas. We had french onion soup (thicker, sweeter, red onion, quite good), small Beef Check Burger and fries, small petite filet done perfectly. Would highly recommend, not for every week but certainly every month or for special occasions.

Knife is a great place tucked in the Highland Hotel. It has a cool retro vibe, great service and a great menu offering. Our party shared the tuna tartare, avocado fries, wedge salads and truffle pasta and the 90 day aged ribeye. Honestly the only thing I did not like was the steak. I know, but it just wasn’t my thing. We ordered medium rare but I thought it was chewy and nothing special. Would definitely come back here but might try seafood next time.

Much better choices. Today was our 30th anniversary and I made 7:00 reservations a few weeks ago. We arrived on time and were advised (by the worst hostess tandem ever) our table wasn’t quite ready. While we were waiting, WHILE WE WERE WAITING, two people were seated and then three. Waited twenty minutes past our reservation. They comped champagne and an appetizer. Apparently no specials. Food was ok, I guess. My wife had to send her steak back; mine was fine. Appetizers were fine. Dessert was fine. Our server did a very nice job. So, all in all, a disappointment from the start. Food was ok, but there are waaaay better places. Service at the table was good. The two hostesses were absolutely horrible and got the evening off to a bad start, which had a negative effect on our anniversary dinner. Won’t go back.

Enjoyed Knife many times for breakfast (where I thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast sandwich and drip coffee on a daily basis), and once for a quick dinner. A solid restaurant for a hotel, with a nice ambiance and dedicated staff to ensure an enjoyable experience.

We had Sunday brunch here after reading they had one of the best burgers in Dallas. I ended up getting the filet and it was one of the best I have ever had. Unbelievably tender and flavorful, even if a tad overcooked from the rare plus I ordered. The burger was very good as well and I also had a bite of the cuban which was really good. We started with the bacon tasting and avocado fries, both good, but would skip next time. Also had a breakfast potato hash that wasn't that great and service was a little sub par, thus the 4 stars versus 5. Had I been judging just the filet, 5 stars no doubt.

Wonderful cuts of meat obviously. But don't forget about the appetizers and sides! The Bacon sampler/tasting is amazing. Hamachi appetizer is wonderful as are the pasta dishes. Wine list is average.

When I went to The Reserve, Charles, Gabe, and Mary were the best. They were so hospitable. The food was so good. I ordered the standard and it was amazing. I will definitely be back.

Sometimes bar diners are overlooked. Not at Knife. Our steaks arrive properly cooked and sizzling hot. Portions of the sides are very large.

Went with a group and I expect the prices to be high at a restaurant inside a hotel but this was a little much. I’m looking at past pics of the bacon appetizer which they’re famous for, YIKES! It’s like half as much and it was $18. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. We were just surprised at the high prices, even when we expected to pay $100/person. Plan on $200 a person with drinks, apps, main course, and some desserts.

Loved the food here! I got the burger, i cant remember the name, but it has meat American cheese & red onion, that’s s it... one of the BEST burgers I’ve ever had! Really nice bar, first class all the way!! Can’t wait to go back!!

We dined for breakfast and it was a really nice experience. My wife absolutely loved the French Toast. Service was great too!

We visited Knife Dallas with a few friends for a date night, it did not disappoint! They have a modern/classic menu focusing on steaks but with options for non-Red meat eaters. The appetizer selection and steak list is quite impressive while not being overwhelming. And compared to other large cities we have visited the menu was quite economic. 100% recommend you do a dinner at Knife Dallas.

The atmosphere was awesome! Mary and Gabe were amazing and made amazing drinks. I will have to bring more people next time! I loved it!

The Breakfast was Great and the staff was great in taking care of my hungerness. I love the outdoor patio

Had a reservation elsewhere, but an unplanned trip to the ER quashed it. Returned to our hotel and thought we’d eat here. Even on a Monday night it was packed. Delicious cocktails, tomato bisque, and pasta with truffles.

If you are getting reimbursed or wanting to take out a second mortgage for dinner, then Knife is utopia. Dead cow is taken to new price heights, while wine mark-up is "you gotta be kiddin." So I guess you are thinking that service must be exquisite? Not so, our lone server for our party of ten struggled valiantly ... but it was a damned good thing were weren't in any hurry. Yes the atmosphere is chic, and yes all the patrons had nice manners. But you get a better bang for the buck at so many other places where reservations are easier and the food is better.

My party had burgers and a reuben for lunch. Frig was out; no salads. Food was very good; salsa verde fries were great. A/C I think was not working either; muggy inside. Server did not come for about ten minutes. Iced tea had little ice; waited 20 min to get more ice. Server was hard to find for anything. Management needs to train servers so that service matches the food and ambiance.

I believe I was overcharged on a bottle of wine. I phoned the restaurant to request review of my ticket, but never received a callback. The wine was listed for 246.00 The restaurant added a 50.00 tip (20%) for merely delivering & decanting the bottle. The tax was 57.97. It is the tax I wish to ask about. I wish they would return my call. It’s been a week. Keith Lawyer Call me, pls.

If you are looking to enjoy a Texas steakhouse experience that has been elevated a few notches above the norm, this is where you need to go. Drinks were expertly prepared, and the wine list is extensive and excellent. The table shared the bacon tasting and the ham tasting for appetizers. Naturally, the Iberico offering was the best part of each. I've enjoyed Iberico ham before, so that was not a surprise, but I hadn't tasted Iberico bacon previously - wow. The fat just melts in your mouth but the meat is crispy so that the slice toes the line between traditional bacon and a cube of perfectly prepared pork belly. Of course, you're here for the steak. The 32 oz dry aged Akaushi bone-in ribeye was plenty to share along with some accompaniments. The preparation was simple and focused on enhancing the natural flavor of the dry aged beef, rather than covering it up with too many spices or sauces. The black truffle garganelli (which can be ordered as a half portion if you want to treat it as a side dish) is an absolute must-order dish. The earthiness of black truffles pairs works to complement the steak, but I would also recommend the dish for someone not interested in eating beef. Overall a stupendous experience and a required stop for anyone seeking top-notch beef in Dallas, Texas.

Came in for a steak...left happy Was in the in the mood for a good steak and wasn’t in the looking to put down a months rent, so after a little research Knife seemed like the perfect place to accomplish that goal. I decided to go ‘New School’ and went with the 10oz Flat Iron & the creamed spinach. The steak was seasoned fantastically, very juicy, and cooked exactly as requested. The spinach I was given was enough to feed a family of 4 (but considering the price I wasn’t mad about the portion size given). An prior to my food arriving I was offered a complimentary dish of crudités and a selection of fresh baked breads. The service staff here is great and are very attentive, I never felt like I had to search for my server and I also didn’t feel like I was being hovered over the entire time either. Pro Tip: MAKE A RESERVATION! I got lucky and was able to sit down as a walk-in, but the area by the bar is first come first served.

Excellent food and service all around. Our party was pretty pleased with the quality of food and seasoning of all the dishes we ordered. Service was on point and definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner (that's what we had)

We had dinner on a Friday evening, the restaurant is in a Hotel, ( Highland ) and it has very very busy. That being said. There where five of us for a birthday party, we where sat at a half moon shaped booth close to the kitchen area, but that was not the whole problem.I missed almost all the conversation because,of the roar of noise of alot of people in a smaller type place. My take is this, if you like to pay for a high end meal ( food was very good ) but dont want to visit with your guests, this is the place for you.

Was there for a lunch with a large group. From the set menu, I tried wedge salad with blue cheese, black truffle pasta, shared sides of French fries and spinach in cream sauce and dessert called chocolate & coffee. They were all great tasting. Others had the magic hamburger and cream of tomato soup which were also very good. Most importantly, the service was wonderful. We all enjoyed it very much!

This was a great way to end our trip - undoubtedly the best culinary experience of our US trip. The service was highly attentive, friendly but unobtrusive. I enjoyed soup of the day but the steak was cooked perfectly. The mash side was incredibly smooth and creamy. The dessert was a deconstructed banana panna cotta. I cannot recommend Knife too highly

Great service and nice variety on menu. Eggs Benedict was served with grilled potatoes and the espresso was served hot! Great location to MSU.

We ordered our food from our room to pick up as they had a super packed restaurant for "adhereing to covid standars." Once our food was ordered, it was super cold, soggy, and missing items from the order. We called to inform them of the issue and the comment we got was "not my problem" from their hostess. And to get silverware at the bar was like pulling teeth. And thats Christmas Dinner......? Not going to be returning to this place.

What a delightful alternative to the standard steakhouse! We had the tuna tartare, heirloom tomato salad and yellowtail appetizers to start followed by the aged Aukashi ribeye, whole fish and about half of the sides on the menu. The seafood dishes were perfect in every way and the ribeye could not have been more delicious. We were a party of three and over-ordered so we skipped dessert. We could have easily served four people. Everything was amazing! It was a pricey meal, but delicious!

I think the steak here is the best - the sommelier is really great and they have nice cocktail and wine choices. The truffle garganelli is outstanding. I'd love to see them change up the menu a bit as I have been here so many times that I've exhausted everything on it. The only thing that is not good is the creamed spinach.

We were going to an exhibition at the Meadows Museum and decided to take lunch at Knife - which is nearby. Their Lunch Menu features a number of Dinner items which makes it pricey. However, our Tuna Tartare @ $24 was outstanding - my wife had water but I ordered a Lemonade which was deliciously tangy and refreshing. Our Server Kathy guided us toward Knife's burgers - my wife went for the Magic Burger and I choose the Pimento Cheese Burger. Both were messy but satisfying with a side of Salsa Verde Fries. It had been quiet for a Friday afternoon, but as we called for our check, patrons started to mosey in. We had found some free limited parking around the back of the building along US 75, but now every spot was taken. It's a good thing when things come together.

31st anniversary. Salmon for her - filet for me. Started with a wedge salad - a very unique presentation and very good. Also had gargarelle pasta with black truffle sauce. Never have really understood the appeal of truffles and guess I still dont but it was tasty.

In the mix of Dallas steakhouses I’ve heard great things about knife. It has been ranked highly in a number of articles. First, service was slow. From drinks to food, slow. More importantly the food was average at best. I took recommendations from our waitress. The not to miss bacon appetizer, 5 pieces of bacon for $15,00. Skip it. Slight variance in taste, none of it any better than bacon you get anywhere else. I ordered the filet with steak frites. The ordered medium, was on the verge of bloody. The “frites” were not as good as better burger joints. Four of us in my party, all underwhelmed. Lacks atmosphere. Way overpriced. You will get a better meal at Nick and Sams, Al’s, Bob’s, or Del any night of the week.

I had added on the reservation that only had counter seating available that we would have preferred a table but we were seated at the counter with plenty of tables available. Next we ordered drinks - one of their featured and a dirty martini. The drinks were the best. Then we tried ordering appetizers but were told we had to order the complete meal all at once. Alberto offered to bring the manager over to explain but we went ahead and ordered. Not sure if this is asked of all customers. This has never been my experience in all Dallas steakhouses. We ordered the bone marrow with caviar and lamb meatballs and two of their 32oz 60 day aged steaks in bone from different farms cooked medium with the Mac and cheese, braised carrots and salsa verde fries. Overall food was phenomenal but as a result of some of the experience probably won’t return. For dessert it was like a deconstructed bananas flambé. Extensive wine list. Service was good - had to ask for bread which appeared they were rationing. So had to ask directly for the biscuits. A little pricey for the experience but it was worth it because of the steaks.

Had a late night dinner at Knife. Was dropped off by a Lyft and was surprised that this was located in a hotel. My boyfriend and I shared a bottle of wine and enjoyed a steak for 2 that was not on the menu. Highly recommend getting one of their pasta dishes as a side instead of one of the traditional sides. We had some sort of truffle pasta and then the creamed spinach which I thought was excellent. Only thing I thought was odd was that they asked to see my ID as they opened our bottle of wine. Not the best steak I ever had but the food was good and I would definitely go back if I had the chance.

We had date night at the Knife this weekend. It was pretty good. Better than your standard chain steakhouse but definitely not as good as my favorite steakhouses. Loved the dressing in the complimentary cold veggie appetizer. Tuna tar tar was ok. I prefer it with a little Asian sauce. Bacon sampler was fine. That was really for Hubs. I was full before we ordered so we got flank steak and Mac and Cheese to share. Both were ok. I really liked the seasoning and char on the steak. I loved the seating, the noise level was fine and I liked you didn’t have to whisper. As others noted parking was a beast but they did have complimentary valet. But we didn’t have cash and had to pay fees to use the ATM. Workable but a hassle. I wish the sever had just given us $5 that I could add to the tip. Around 1045 the servers really started making a huge racket to set up for the next day. Not very date night acceptable. At 1050 our server didn’t offer us another glass of wine or dessert or anything. He brought the check and was like good night. Hubs went to the bar to get us a glass of wine and I paid the bill. I thought that was 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 He could have offered it at 1030 or so if time was an issue. Anyway I have a huge wish list of restaurants to try and was able to check this one off and that’s pretty much all. It won’t be a repeat place or somewhere we seek out when we are downtown.

Our dinner and evening at Knife was perfect for my birthday! The restaurant is small, not overly stuffy but also just trendy enough with a dressy casual feel on a Friday evening. We started with drinks and then enjoyed the delicious yellow tail with grapefruit and avocado. The flavor pairing was exceptional. We shared the bone-in rib eye for two, seared medium rare. If you like tasty steak that's smooth like butter, it's for you. The steak for two is served already sliced which makes it easy to share. We enjoyed our side of roasted okra and also the heirloom tomatoes although the tomatoes were probably not needed since the okra was also prepared with tomatoes. The Onion Rings were an evening favorite with an exceptionally light and crispy batter. My favorite Cakebread was not on the menu, so the sommelier helped us choose another California Cabernet from Rutherford - Agave Vineyard's Jack Quinn. The Almond Panna Cotta was a great dessert recommendation by the friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. We highly recommend Knife and also advise calling at least two weeks early to insure that your preferred seating time is available for a weekend.

We were visiting Dallas and decided to give this Top Chef's restaurant a try. They were able to fit us in with a last minute reservation. The prices are a little high, but the aged beef was excellent. We had the bone in rib eye and it lived up to our expectations. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Overall I would definitely visit again.

Our office went for lunch and we were treated like royalty. The food was delicious. Wait staff was attentive and offered excellent suggestions.

Great drinks and attentive staff. I will be back. Chantel, Charles, Gabe, Parker are great! Everybody should be here!!

Excellent atmosphere and food. The 60 day and 90 day aged steaks were amazing. Definitely will come back!

I was in Dallas for business and was able to enjoy a fantastic lunch at knife. We ordered the 10-oz Filet and the meat was buttery, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I have enjoyed many good steaks but the meat here is amazing. The roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts is a great side dish and went really well with our steaks. The french fries were good but nothing special. I will definitely be back and would go out of my way to have another meal at this great steakhouse.

Having arrived earlier than expected for my reservation at The Highland Dallas, I decided to treat myself to breakfast while waiting for my room to be prepared. I have a conflicted relationship with hotel restaurants. On the one hand, it is convenient to know that there is a food option available when you do not want to or (as in a recent visit to Dublin during a big snowstorm) cannot leave the hotel. But I despise the "we've got you now" attitude that is demonstrated by inflated prices and lackluster food. Add a "celebrity" chef to that and sometimes I wish I had packed a sandwich. But with no sandwich to my name and no desire to venture out in search of food, I entered Knife. I was greeted and seated within two minutes of presenting myself by a nice young man. I grabbed a New York Times that was available on a side table which I found very convenient. The nice young man was replaced by a surly older man who grunted at me as I was reading my paper. I think he was offering breakfast beverages but by his annoyed facial expression he could have easily have been offering hemlock. I declined whatever he was offering and went back to my newspaper having already reviewed the limited breakfast menu. My server, Kathy arrived. I was in desperate need of coffee, I inquired about getting a cappuccino with almond milk. She assured me that it was not a problem and went off. She returned about 10 minutes later - this isn't Starbucks - with a deliciously hot cappuccino. If this was a sign of what was to come, I would have to re-think my relationship with hotel restaurants. I ordered the french toast with sausage patties. I specifically requested that the french toast not be over-soaked with egg and cooked well to ensure that it was not mushy. Kathy checked with the kitchen, they gave her an OK and I settled in with a newspaper. I do not care for undercooked eggs. When I order eggs I order them cooked well. To the point that metal shavings might be a part of the meal because they had to be chiseled out of the pan. So imagine my surprise when I was presented with french toast - let's just call it texas toast, the French want nothing to do with this mess - that required a spoon and a straw in order to slurp it up of the plate. To make matters worse, I had two tepid boulders doing duty as sausage patties. So there I sat with my egg bread abomination, room temperature sausage and an empty coffee cup. It would also appear that my table was relocated to the Bermuda Triangle because I sat with my 3/4 full plate pushed to the other side of the table and my disappointment for over 30 minutes without being approached once. Not even the surly man with the water pitcher. When my table suddenly reappeared on the radar, Kathy and the surly man came over to clear my dishes. And here is a textbook example of how to lose a tip. If you ask a diner who clearly has never missed a meal about their food and they say "disappointing" - do not resume robot mode and ask if they would like something else to top off their meal. You have just picked up a plate with more than half the food on it after you disappeared for over 30 minutes. Take note - the original mission has failed. Fix it. There were several opportunities where this experience could have been turned around but instead it became a master class in watching the dollars of a potential repeat customer (I was staying at the hotel) walk out the door every morning and evening in search of food prepared properly and served elegantly.

Have just enjoyed a long lunch at Knife and it was sensational. The bacon tasting plate was amazing, the beef cheek burger was all sorts of gelatinous goodness and the pimento cheese (made in house) burger was delicious. The wines are, unfortunately, on the expensive side, which would be the only negative. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon!

Food very good, very expensive. Sides are enough for 3 or 4 people. Service was great until another large party was seated. Then waiters were busy with them and had trouble getting coffee an dessert.

The food was great and the service was excellent until the “manager” decided to be a mask Natzi. I spent $500 there, the girls were on the patio. So after paying the check I went the 20’ to tell them we were ready to go. Ben approached me a told me that I must wear a mask whenever I leave the table. I told him I was not going to do so. He said that he was going to refuse service and he called security. Security came. I told him that they have completely ruined an otherwise fantastic evening. It’s too bad that such an upscale place like this has such bad management.

We went for a friends birthday and had a great time. The bartender made a special birthday drink for the table. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Food came out a little slow but it was delicious, drinks were tasty and dessert was literally the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second visit, and will be our last. The first time everything was delicious. This time the four steaks were awful. At $110 each it is not unreasonable to expect a tender steak done to perfection, but each steak was tough and not cooked as ordered. We paid our ticket (over $1000) and vowed to never return. I have had much better steak at a fraction of the price.

Steaks were mediocre. Best ever onion rings. Choose the pretzel bread. Steer clear of the watercress salad because the dressing was super sour. Awesome Almond creme dessert.

We have visited knife in the past, and enjoyed good food but poor service during a between hours lunch. We decided to give it another try for lunch, and this time we felt much better about the experience. I would highly recommend the pimento cheese burger. I mean, really! Also, the fries were amazing. I never thought I would "review" a burger and fries, but this dish was off the charts. Fresh and farm-to-table flair. I don't think their service will ever be above average, but the food is worth it.

We had a group event here. Appetizer platters includes their decadent bacon sampler, beef tartar, tuna tartar meat and cheese tray. The Blue Cheese was killer. Three courses served family style. Aged Tomahawk ribeye, chicken and lamb with sides. Chicken was moist and smooth. Ribeye had a great sear and flavor. Lamb was buttery... no lamb game flavor or need for mint sauce to hide it.

Good cocktails drinks and excellent gourmet food. Friendly bartenders and great waiters. You should try it!

I had stopped here for a brief meeting. While there, the food smelled amazing so I decided to have dinner there. I sat at the bar as I didn't think I'd be there long. The bar staff is amazing; welcoming, funny, eager to make your visit a memorable event. I ordered a Knife Old Fashioned and watched the bartender create an amazing drink for me. I told him I loved citrus with Bourban and the notes of citrus were perfect. I kept inhaling from my glass long after the drink was done. For dinner I ordered an Argula salad and again, the bartender was helpful with advising me that it was very large and I might want only a half as I also ordered the Sriracha Pork Belly. Both were delicious! For dessert I had the Almond Panna Cotta which was really good. Was a great experience, I would highly recommend that if you are alone you sit at the bar, you will get fantastic service and you won't feel alone, you'll feel like you are having a meal with friends.

What an outstanding spot! Came on a business trip and this will be my regular spot. Charles was legit, Gabe knew exactly what was up. Kendall was super responsive. And when I came back the next night, Mary picked right up. You will feel right at home!

Excellent bone in dry aged ribeye. My husband, daughter and I shared the 36 oz. steak in addition to a half order of the delicious truffle pasta followed by a dessert with Nutella. Delicious.

I actually feel bad for John Tesar. He has the most amazing steaks, burgers, and even pastas being plated here but somehow can't find one decent hostess, server, or manager to stay. There is one exception, if you eat at the bar or patio you can bypass the always idiotic hostess and useless waitstaff and Solie will take good care of you. Thats it. Everyone else literally are brain dead with no sense of common customer service. Yesterday was a great example. I walked by at 445 and the place is empty and I said "I need a reservation for 4 at 5pm" now 95% of all hostesses would say- "great! under what name" NOPE this one says "let me see if thats available" hahahaha an empty steakhouse on a Wednesday and she's gonna let me know. ok..fast fwd 15 mins and we are getting seated (with a 3 week old infant)- I ask "could we have this corner booth that way we can secure the child car seat " - of course not -"THAT EXACT TABLE IS RESERVED." Would I like a kids seat:( for my sleeping baby that can't hold her head up because she ws just born) no, it wasn't we ate until 6 and it was never seated. I could go on and on like my father asked what else he could have with the Salmon since he doesn't like peas. his server replied "thats it. thats what it comes with" Its too bad the food is always AMAZING and theres such a nice patio area. I will keep punishing myself because I love the taste and location...

Food and drinks great and staff provide amazing service. Very elegant ambiance. I love the drinks And all the cocktails

When you go out you need a shower as you smell like a barbecue! Very depressing atmosphere, mediocre food and service! Dallas has much better to offer!

Stopped in here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch after watching Chef Tesar on Top Chef. I sat at the bar, and Tony behind the bar was awesome!!! All I can say is, this place did not disappoint. The Ozersky burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It was so simple but like a flavor explosion! I started off with a wedge salad which was delicious. Tony recommended a dessert (which I now cannot recall) and paired it with a delicious red wine. Bonus: I got to meet Chef while I was there. Will definitely be back for dinner next time I'm in town!

I was at Knife on 6/26/21 from 6-8 p.m. First, I would like to say that the food was good. Although we had great difficulty with the manager and hostess. My sister was staying at the hotel because our father had passed away the day before. We had gotten in for an early dinner, and then our food took 45 to 50 minutes to arrive at our table. After we ate the manager came over to tell us that we needed to leave the table and move to the lobby area. Basically, we were kicked out of the restaurant. You never know what's going on in people's personal lives and nobody should ever be kicked out of a restaurant for sitting there to talk. We would have been out of there 45 minutes before.

Charles, Gabe, Mary, and Parker have made my last five weeks here truly remarkable! The service is exceptional, and they make you feel like you’re at home. They’re always friendly and efficient, even when the bar is packed. If you’re ever in the area, make sure to visit them.

Great drinks! The ambience was great and my espresso martini was soooooooo frothy. Love this place! Mary was great! Awesome service.

Very good steaks. Both steaks we ordered were cooked perfectly. The bone in ribeye is large although perhaps matched by the size of the price tag. The skirt steak was exceptionally tender which was a little surprising given the cut. The okra side was amazingly good and I generally don't like okra at all. The decor isn't that great. It feels sort of like the dining area of a Courtyard by Marriott. The service was hit and miss. The bar botched one of two cocktails and the shared appetizers were brought without plates. Both hiccups were fixed right away once brought to the server's attention.

This steak house is phenomenal! The menu, food, and service is a 10. If you choose the best cuts of steak, understand you will pay for what you get. The steaks my colleagues and I had were worth every penny and amazing flavor. The atmosphere is great with open kitchen seating views or traditional restaurant seating. The sides and salads were also fantastic. I would totally recommend this steak house to everyone.

Started with the bacon sampler which was a good way to start the meal . We then went on to a couple of larger aged Steaks and split them amongst the 4 of us . They were good but we did have a 1/2 order of the oxtail ravioli which I thought was the best part of the main , so I am going to return to try a pasta dish and maybe a burger . Service was very good and a place you can go smart casual or dressed up .

The dry aged steak was amazing! The bacon taster appetizer was good, the bacon jam was awesome! Did not care for the crab fries, but everything else was top shelf!

first time here gabe and charles took very good care of me they made a good custom drink for me and made accommodations for me on the menu whatever you do ask for them.

The steaks were okay but I can do much better. The presentation, service, and sides were terrible, not to mention they didn't didn't have 3 major liquors available. Said it was covid related. On top of that they over charged me on drinks we did have and then they said they took it off but they had already run my credit card. Asked for dessert and they said they had none as they were without a pastry chef - really!! I live in Dallas and will never return. Terrible!!

Greta place, great atnosphere! We sat at the bar, where you can see all the crazyness happening to bring you the most amazing steak, you will eat. This is the place where you will see, hear and taste your food. Very nice Wine Menu, and you need to try the bacon platter! It is a must.

I had the wagyu skirt steak and my son had a burger. Steak was a little salty as were French fries. Yellowtail was fine. We tried the fried avocado, I guess that was ok. I feel like the menu is a little gimmicky. We didn’t have a reservation, we sat outside in the patio, which was fine.

Was looking forward to eat @ The Knife, but it was very disappointing. The atmosphere has a lot to be desired. We were seated at a scratched, peeling wooden table without tablecloth. Was given a paper menu with food stains. The lunch menu was limited and could not ordered from regular menu. The stakes were overcooked, the sides came at different times during the meal, one arrived at the end because the kitchen forgot to make it. And the worst of all, we had to constantly swat flies off our food. Extremely overpriced, overall terrible experience!

My wife and I arrived early, to be seated 10 or so minutes later than our reservation. The dining area is quite loud, and less personal than one would expect for the reputation Knife carries. We were promptly attended to by our waiter, who was rather knowledgeable with the menu and proper pairings for each item. I will say that I have been attended to much more diligently at other restaurants. We ordered the bacon crusted bone marrow and caviar, along with the avocado fries. Prior to their arrival, a complementary vegetable side was delivered, and was quite good. The appetizers were amazing, in both presentation and taste. Unfortunately, as we would learn, the entrees did not follow suit. My wife ordered the yellow tomato crab risotto, and I ordered the 45-day, dry aged Akaushi ribeye (med-rare). Though the risotto was quite flavorful and held ample amounts of crab, it arrived clumsily plated, pooling with water. The steak ($150) arrived off temperature (rare v. med rare) from what was ordered, with minimum seasoning, and poorly cut and plated. Overall, the entrees tipped the scale towards more of an average experience than anything else. I will say that the appetizers were well worth it and that if I were to visit again, I would focus on them. Quite disappointed with the steak from a steakhouse.

I went back and forth whether this was a 4/5 or 5/5. I went with 5/5. There was only one “issue” and in hind site it wasn’t an issue just something to be aware of. We were in town for a concert and this was the night before. Really liked everything about this place. Front of the house and service were great. Attentive, polite, checking in frequently. The decor and atmosphere were great and the smell in the dining room was of cooking dry aged steaks. We arrived a little early and had a drink at the bar to start. Probably about 12 seats or so with a TV off to one side. Properly made drinks and also a decent bourbon selection. We moved to our table and were greeted right away. We had done somewhere a little earlier for a drink and snacks so got right to dinner when we sat down. This is the one the things that isn’t a knock but just for awareness. They specialize with dry aged steaks, which is great. However the majority of the steaks are of a size for sharing. Multiple 32oz ribeyes of different ages and beef sources, a 26oz dry aged strip. The problem is my wife’s just likes filet, which is fine and they have a 6 and 10oz option. That left me either getting a huge dry aged steak for me or one of the non-dry aged options. The only one for me was the 20oz strip. There is a skirt steak and flat iron and another 32oz ribeye. My steak was fantastic. The crust on it was impressive. Cooked perfect. The potato purée was great too. My wife’s filet was order medium and came rare. They took it back and made it right. I also had the au poivre sauce and actually questioned if was the bordelaise. Didn’t taste any pepper and looked and tasted like a red wine sauce. I mentioned it and the server brought a replacement and looked and tasted the same. Another thing is the wine by the bottle list is pretty good but many red Cab options below $150 so be prepared for that. Overall, a very good experience and meal.
