My wife and I recently had the pleasure of eating at Wolfgangs at Hotel bel Air. Beautiful ambience, excellent service, and the cuisine was creative and well prepared. We also added the wine pairing to the evening and was very impressed with the innovative pairings and quality of the wines. It would be easy to be lazy but they really though this through and had fun with it.

You start by selecting the hotel Bel Air as your location, making it comfortable and calming for all (dress up or dress down – they don’t judge) and retain some of your signature dishes like Weiner while catering to others with the freshest Sashimi. The quality of the food is a given. The service makes it relaxing. You will be greeted by the most attentive staff and by wait staff trained to make a connection with the diner.

This is our second year we selected to host our family's Easter holiday at the Hotel Bel Air's Wolfgang Puck restaurant. Unfortunately, this year's experience was sub-par at best. Key takeaway: Better off going to Culina at the Four Seasons..... 1) My husband's appetizer did not come out with the rest of our dishes until we asked a waiter. Further, my father in law's main entrée also failed to come out as well with the rest of our dishes and could not locate our head waiter. 2) My son who is 4 was charged $65 for simple eggs and bacon and had to ask for a children's menu from our head waiter. 3) I ordered the taglette mushroom dish which was then added on an upcharge +$50 without a notation from the waitstaff. 4) My mother in law made reservations for us well in advance and we had specifically requested the alcove booth. We were curtly informed that those were already reserved despite the fact called 2 months prior, this is our second year plus we hosted an very elegant brother in law's wedding at the hotel. 5) All in all, I spent a total of $900 for 4 adults + 1 kid (which I would not have minded for great service and food) however, this was for an aggravating / unmemorable meal for our Easter annual holiday outing :(

Francesca was a fantastic waitress! The food was delicious and elegantly presented. Appetizer heirloom tomatoes were ripe and juicy. Angel hair pasta with truffles was creamy and to die for.

We stayed at the Hotel Bel Air during our staycation in LA. We celebrated my birthday at Wolfgang Puck. Our server (Christian, I think) was wonderful, and went through the menu extensively. He also had some good recommendations on wine. The place is very cozy and romantic, with lots of candles and fire columns. The comp'ed me desert for my birthday as well. Thank you. Nice, romantic place to go dine.

Classy hotel restaurant that’s currently offering outdoor dining service in covid. The staff is very diligent in ensuring everyone is wearing masks and there’s a ton of hand sanitizer. Came here for a small work dinner and it’s a good spot to have an intimate meal or to do some business. You may spot a few celebs since the hotel is a bit out of the way, and offers a good amount of privacy (we saw James Corden). The food was fresh and high quality. The complimentary bread was warm and I would recommend partaking in the seafood. The Santa Barbara uni was a standout and I liked the salsa that accompanied it. The oysters were also super fresh, and the prawns were standard. For the main course, I did split the wiener schnitzel (which is apparently a Wolfgang Puck classic) along with the summer truffle pasta that had handmade tagliatelle. The pasta was delicious and creamy, but the wiener schnitzel seemed like any other schnitzel (the only difference being that it’s made with veal). The sides included arugula, cherry tomatoes, potatoes, and some thinly sliced cucumber in a yogurt dill sauce that I liked. For dessert, the hazelnut chocolate bar is small so get a coupe to share. The creme fraiche gelato was delightful and the dessert itself reminds me of a Ferrero Roche with a light chocolate mousse inside. They have a fully stocked bar and they have some pretty good mocktail options. Service is prompt and professional. If you’re getting dropped off at the hotel entrance, just go straight down the hallway and up the stairs then turn right. Bathrooms are right next to the courtyard on the left hand side (the lighting in the ladies room is quite nice). Overall, it’s a good spot to feel like you’re leaving LA and indulging in a quiet meal.

We were staying at the Hotel Bel-Air, so we celebrated our 32nd anniversary over dinner at WP at HB-A. This restaurant is beautiful! It’s an indoor/outdoor restaurant. We sat in a big, cozy booth, and had awesome service from Christian and Julian. Manager Daniel stopped by a few times. Those three men truly made our night. They treated us like royalty. We felt so very special, and savored every minute. That night was one of those life-long memories, thanks to Daniel, Julien, and Christian. Thank you, gentlemen! The food was outstanding. Everything was perfect!

I’ve been to the Bel-Air hotel, to Wolfgang Puck‘s restaurant on my birthday several times over the last few years. It’s not good enough to offer beautiful surroundings and combine them with low standard food and extortionate prices. I have had so much better there. The food was mediocre at best, and the crowning moment was the dried out piece of king salmon. A great chef is no longer a great chef if he takes his eye off the kitchen and spends too much time launching new restaurants. We will not be back

Loves this place we stopped here for a great birthday party the service was the best we have had in the area the food fantastic the setting magical

The hotel is much better than this restaurant. The restaurant is overpriced for what you get...the salads are just so so, lots of lettuce and skimpy on the protein. I also had an omelette, lots of egg and not many mushrooms. And the prices are high which you wouldn't mind if the choices were better.

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights and decided to have lunch here one day. The service was fantastic, and the food was equally impressive. I ordered the baby kale salad with grilled shrimp, and it was delicious! Overall, it was a great dining experience during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

We had an excellent dinner, I have a gluten intolerance, the chef made an amazing corn and halapino bread. The service was v good, the setting stunning and the food fabulous. We were recommended to come by the GM of the Beverly Hills Hotel. The Bel Air is a magical place-fantastic and well worth the visit.

The New Year’s Eve dinner was very poorly organized and executed. The description was misleading. According to the description, the astronomical price was justified because it included a live bad, party favors, etc. In reality, we got no party favors, choose to tune out the band and spent another $300 on champagne to liven up the mood. The seating was broken up into three sections. You were either on the patio under white/blue/purple light made to make it feel like a party where your conversations were overpowered by a very loud jazz band; or right behind an artificial hedge wall where you could still hear the band but could not see it; or inside where the New Year’s Eve ambiance was attempted by scattering some black and gold balloons throughout the room. The servers did not know the menu they were serving and served one of the courses while we were away from our table. Since it was a pre-set menu that meant no explanation of the dish we were eating, which would be fine if we were at a Joe Shmoe restaurant. This used to be my go-to restaurant. I have loved coming to this restaurant in the past and have recommended it to friends on many occasions but after my New Year’s Eve experience I think I’ll be celebrating special occasions and having date nights at hundreds of others food-worthy restaurants in LA where they actually care about the service they provide.

This hotel is nestled within the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, but it's so surrounded by lush greenery that you feel that you're out in the country. As you enter, there's a pond with swans! While we were there for a weekday lunch, there was a wedding and the staff was also ramping up for a big BBQ in one of the garden areas. Yet it still felt really tranquil. We chose to eat at the patio restaurant. Food was delicious and service was attentive but relaxed and friendly. We asked a lot of questions about the menu and were given full answers and time to make our choices without any feeling of being rushed. You won't want to leave!

Margarite pizza is great, crust tastes like French pizza crust! Their version of the club, is to DIE for! Their juices are fresh, creative and can be made without some of the ingredients.

We wanted the Restaurant at Hotel Bel-Air to be something other than a nice hotel restaurant in a fancy hotel, but at the end of the day that is all it really is. The food was all good and presented well but $15-$20 per item overpriced which is hard to justify when the food isn’t incredibly special. Service was good but not the memorable service you expect at these price points. The ambience was great however and it was fun to walk around the resort afterwards. Do I feel like I need to rush back? No. Was it fine for what it was? Yes.

Wolfgang Puck,s have a marvelous menu for everyone. Food is fresh, service is outstanding, you won,t be dissapointed.

Great food and a fantastic setting! You’ll see plenty of high rollers dining here, and you'd never guess who they are. The food is amazing, and the service is top-notch. I brought some foreign friends who had never experienced fine dining before, and I was really pleased with how they were treated. The waiter made them feel comfortable, explained the menu items with humor, and handled everything flawlessly. The level of class here is truly astounding! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

Haven't been back here for a year and I realised I mustn't leave it so long between visits next time. We were there to celebrate my brother in laws 60th birthday. It was nicely busy. Tables aren't too close and the area is lovely bright and spacious. Once again the food and drink didn't disappoint. Our waitress was top class - very friendly and professional. Food was delicious and even Wolfgang himself came out to make sure we had all enjoyed his delicious food. Soft shell crab sandwiches were particularly good as were the peanut butter ice creams. Fab

Happened to visit during the Dine L.A. weeks in January. My companions and I enjoyed a fantastic tasting menu comprised of four courses, and an amuse bouche that certainly could have counted for a fifth course. The whole experience was superb: fantastic wine pairing and generous pours, wonderful service, and best of all was the food: carpaccio with sauteed enoki mushrooms flawless, delicious spaghetti with lobster and creamy goat cheese in a creamed red sauce, a classic Wolfgang Puck vegetable pizza, and grilled tuna or Sonoma lamb with quince (both were winners), and the grand prize desert of the deconstructed apple pie with caramel ice cream. It was a fantastic menu and beautiful presentations. What a great evening. Thanks to the great crew at Wolfgang's at The Bel-Air.

If you want to truly enjoy LA dining at its best - and don't mind paying for it - this is the place. Just a charming and lovely place to sit and enjoy a perfect LA evening. Booths are best. Best bread basket in LA. Great service but every dish has Wolfgang's distinctive and remarkable flavors. Even a side dish like the mushrooms. The chicken pot pie is delicious even if you just want that flaky crust.

This place really is a treat the way it's hidden up in the hills. The menu offers a wonderful tasting menu with wine pairing that is delicious, or you can go a la carte while letting the sommelier customize something for you personally. The service is top notch and it's definitely worth arriving a bit early to have a cocktail in the bar and enjoy the live music.

So, we are not from L.A. and we normally do not go for the fancy places. But we went here on a whim because we wanted to do something nice for our daughter who does live there. This restaurant filled the bill in all categories. Starting with the friendliness that greeted us at the door. We were treated like we were regulars, which we surely are not. But the next time we are in L.A. we just might go there again. The food was fantastic and our server really knew the menu and his professionalism is to be commended. Hard to believe we were sitting in a hotel. This place is upscale but the bill was not that bad. Please enjoy.

We went once for a birthday dinner and once for an evening out. I like to order the crudités because the vegetables are served upright on a mound of crushed ice so it looks like a little forest. The food is rich and yummy with ample selections without being overwhelming.

As a group, we've visited several LA venues for their Afternoon Tea. We've experienced and tasted a myriad of teas, finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries in beautiful settings, I have to say that this experience hits the top of the list across the board. The Bel Aire Hotel, grounds, and amenities are beautiful, stately, and comfortably elegant and the service is impeccable. The Afternoon Tea is very relaxing as you pre-select and pre-pay for your afternoon when you make the reservation. When you arrive and are seated, the only choices you have to make are if you'd like champagne, and your selection of tea. There are a variety of black, white, green, and herbal teas to choose from and each person selects their own. The waiters are very helpful at describing the food as it is brought to your table and then they leave you alone to relax and enjoy your group's conversation. The sandwiches are delicate and scrumptious, the scones are cooked perfectly and served with devon cream and jams, and the dessert pastries are little delicious works of art. Our friend was presented with a luscious piece of chocolate layer cake in honor of her birthday. Tea is served Friday and Saturday and you have to make reservations and pre-pay. For us, the Bel Aire Hotel Afternoon Tea was a truly enjoyable treat and afternoon escape. We'd highly recommend it for a festive celebration and suggest you arrive hungry!!

Had dinner with my brother in law and husband. Dinner was fantastic especially the tiger shrimp appetizer. The only problem was that my husband's steak was overcooked--but they resubmitted the order and the steak was done perfectly the second time.

The menu changes frequently. I recommend coming a little early and sitting up at the bar for a cocktail. The Pepino's Revenge is a must for tequila lovers. It's refreshing with cucumber and I love the presentation. There's live music in the bar most nights and a roaring fire place that sets the mood. The dining room is mostly outside with ample heaters if they are needed. Settle back and relax as you look over the menu and nibble on some of their foccacia with goat cheese. There are always a few choices of pastas. You must order a pasta. I suggest you order all of them and do family style for starters. I promise there wont be a single bite left. For entrees I've tried the quail, the loup de mer, the lamb, short rib, the duck and I have yet to be disappointed. Portions are the perfect size so you can enjoy an appetizer and a main without being uncomfortable. Beautiful, serene atmosphere with incredible food and drink. What more do you need!

Great food, great setting. Lots of high rollers without the tabloid-brand dine here & you just couldn’t even guess who. Food is amazing, service is brilliant. I’ve taken some foreign friends who’ve never experienced fine dining & I was extremely pleased with how they were treated with so much respect -they weren’t familiar with some of the menu items and the waiter made them feel extremely comfortable, he joked about the dishes & flawlessly handled them with care. Astounding level of class.

Perfection is hard to achieve but Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel Air comes very close. A stroll down garden paths dotted with exotic flowers, guides you to your table in a beautiful indoor-outdoor setting. The hosts greet warmly and escort to table, where waiters and wine steward quickly, but quietly, converge, The service was perfection--efficient and friendly but without being hovering or overly familiar. Then there's the food. Although maybe the food should be listed first. Everything was superb. The fresh Maryland crab cakes were the best I've had. Sure the garnish was good--a little schemer of avocado. But what stood out was the flavor of fresh crab. Instead of the usual virtue of crispy friedness and bread crumbs, this was crab without discernible filler. You would expect superb Wienerschnitzel from Wolfgang and you wouldn't be disappointed. However the lamb, the fresh Sonoma lamb, was a marvel--made marvelous by the purity of the ingredients and simplicity of the preparation. With a side order of fresh Morels, well, it doesn't get any better, The desserts too soared in quality and intensity. A chocolate cake, comped in honor of the birthday of one of our party, and a chocolate, banana and ice-cream was perfect for the last of the red wine. Again, the concept was simple but made special by ingredients and preparation. The wine list is not cheap but there are good and drinkable wines from $50, some very nice wines hovering in the $100-$120. There are, for me, some expensive wines that are fairly priced and some cult and classic wines for purchase by people on expense accounts or the Bel Air locals!

Superb service that couldn't get any better if they tried. Good food with prices we didn't fuss over and really when you are staying at this beautiful hotel you have got to enjoy all that it offers. Great welcoming, ambience and style.

Good friends invited us to celebrate with them and we were excited to go. But this meal was a total disappointment. The menu was limited. On line there were many more choices, but when we sat down there was nothing especially appealing -- and very little to choose from. My husband had steak -- it was fine. As expected. But absolutely nothing with it. I had fish. Boring. Tasteless. Nothing to it. My friends had a lobster pot pie and steelhead trout. Pie looked ok but gooey and too rich. The trout -- dry. And it comes with nothing. A peach bellini to start -- sans peach. Just watery champagne. Prosecco would've been better than this flimsy boring champaign. And then the sides. $20 for two tablespoons of potatoes? Come on!! Two stalks of broccolini? Mushrooms bland and under-done. Everything was so bland and unimaginative. I felt like going into the kitchen and showing them a few tricks. And then the bill -- 2 drinks between us and 3 sides -- well over $100 per person. For very little and nothing great. Life's too short.

Had an amazing experience here with the 6 course tasting menu. The food was gorgeous with fabulous service. to make it even better, i would of liked to have seen it matched with different wines for each course.

There are such great restaurants in LA that I'd only go if I were staying at the hotel. Friend had a great steak but my fish was tiny and so dry. I think it was a timing thing, getting both meals finished at the same time.

My wife and I stayed at the Bel Air and booked the restaurant for our first night. Fabulous night, great food, impeccable service. Highly recommended.

We only ate breakfast there but it was incredible with interesting juices and a great menu that you would expect from Puck. At the same time it did not break the bank. A great value and what a wonderful setting to start the day off.

To celebrate my partner's birthday, we had a wonderful morning at the Bel Air spa with excellent service. We followed this up with brunch. Things started well when the lovely hostess, Zoraida, sat us in one of the best booths. But, all is not well with this restaurant otherwise. The service is remarkably slow. Everyone, including our muted, personality-less French server, seems in La La Land with no attentiveness or instinct for what its well-heeled customers need. The server forgot specifics about my partner's burger - which came rare with mayo, despite his order for well-done without mayo. No apologies from the server. The crudite is nice but served with a tiny spoonful of dressing. The eggs benedict are good but served lukewarm. The soup was barely warm. They now have a prix fixe which is fine, but the dessert options are paltry. The other wait staff hardly looks after the booths. Even a power Hollywood CEO next to us complained about not being able to find anyone to pay his bill. This is unacceptable for this hotel and these prices. We will go back to the Bel Air spa and to stay for special occasions but will avoid this restaurant.

Wolfgang Puck is at its finest at the location within the Hotel Bel-Air. If on the menu do NOT miss getting the pasta with truffles. All the other dishes are well presented and delicious. Service is outstanding - if you can get Christian to be your server you are in for an amazing treat. He made the meal a truly memorable night we will remember for a long time. Would come back here even if we were not staying at the hotel to have a repeat experience

Went back for brunch after a looooonnggg break and it was definitely a pleasant experience. I'm not sure if the management changed but service was faster, food was on point and def felt like the first time we visited the restaurant and made us remember why we fell in love with this place. Hopefully, it stays this way and doesn't change back to how it was the past few times we've visited here. The views and ambience are bar none and service was impeccable which made for such a great brunch! Now I cross my fingers and hope that it will stay this way!

While staying at the hotel, we tried their restaurant twice (+ breakfast of course). It was stunning, especially on the evenings. Their filet mignon was the best I have ever had and the potato pyre was mind blowing. I still dream about that after 2 months. Also their cookies and ice cream, just incredible. This might be my all time favorite restaurant

We have been subjected to Puck in a number of countries and cities. This one was no better. Poor food, worse service.....as it was in the Hotel Bel Air, a wonderful hotel, we hoped the standard would befit it's setting. How wrong we were. Give this place a wide berth.....

Had some great service tonight. Quick and to the point. The lamb was cooked perfect. Had a nice plate of mushrooms as well. Always a good place to enjoy. Thanks

Having dined here before and had a great experience overall, I was frankly appalled at our experience on July 18th. I mostly rave on Tripadvisor wanting to share good experiences with other travelers and remind locations if something could be better as I'm sure they'd want to know. We chose to come early evening as all of us had early commitments the next day. The restaurant was empty apart from one dark table under cover that they placed my husband and friend next to, until I arrived and requested an alternative. Had I wanted us to sit in the dark at 5.15pm I wouldn't have selected a place with an outdoor patio. The ambience seemed dingier and characterless compared to the lovely bright ambience the previous time when it was also later. Service was incredibly slow and our waiter seemed disinterested and it was like pulling teeth to get a word and menu out of him. Cocktails were below average - maybe a lychee martini comes in many forms and this was just a bland one, so will let that go. Menu was fairly limited - we started with some delicious tortilla soup that wasn't on the menu - a discovery from our last visit and it was great, so worth trying again given the limited choices available. My husband and friend had halibut which they both felt was adequate but the dish and presentation pretty bland overall, I tried the special fried chicken dinner at $89 which was ok although the chicken batter seemed too dark - maybe it was slightly burnt or that's the way it comes. There were some tasty side dishes with the fried chicken and certainly too much for one - I tried it for fun. Our other guest enjoyed a pasta dish and she was happy. My chicken dinner was supposed to some with dessert, but the waiter brought dessert menus rather than reminding me that this was the case. As it was my husband's birthday, we ordered a dessert despite not needing one. It was fine, a heavy pancake dish with some fruit, suitable for sharing. After this, the waiter brought my husband something that looked like petit fours and said that was a birthday treat and then came back and said 'oh I forgot this, this is your dessert included with your chicken'. First of all, that 'included dessert' should have been brought to us first and I just happened to find the bill for the meal, which included an $8 charge for the birthday dessert, which I found bizarre. We waited forever for our bill, having been there almost 4 hours, that's how slow this experience was, so I went to ask the hostess for the bill myself. This was going to be a special occasion and so I didn't expect this to be inexpensive. The bill was around over $550, for 4 and stupidly I added an undeserved 20%. Dining in the bar is basically far better - we've done this a number of times over the years but basically with lower expectations you have less disappointment, I guess. Should anyone from the hotel respond to this review I would be happy to share it with them in more detail because a hotel of this standard needs to do better. The only two staff that were remotely engaged or pleasant were the sommelier and a bus person who brought a course to the table. As a post script, let me say that on arrival at the hotel our extremely experienced driver was given a dressing down by a valet attendant, Landon. He directed the driver to moved forward, which he did, and then ran around yelling at him him (first through the window where I was sitting), because he had moved too far forward for his liking. He then told off the driver while he was letting our guests out -I waited behind for a moment to see what would transpire to hear Landon telling the driver not to move when we got out because he needed to speak to him. I exited the car to see Landon rushing back to our car to tell off our driver before he drove away. Another driver who may have been blocked by our driver, said not to give it a second thought. This was a horrible way to start our experience for the evening. I reported this to someone in reception, who probably didn't do a thing. Whenever we have arrived at the hotel our supercar, even just to use the bathroom, the reception was wholly different. Bel Air, you may have plenty of clientele, but you need to up your game, starting at the driveway.

Absolutely beautiful venue very romantic for dinner. Staff at first were a little aloof but the Sommelier and waiter were just great knowledgable and accomodating. Food was superior and couldn't be faulted. Very impressive wine list too!

The Wolfgang Puck restaurant at the Hotel Bel-Air is everything you would expect it to be. The food is inventive and truly great. It is also wonderfully presented. The service is extremely attentive, but also warm. The setting is beautiful. The prices certainly are high, but you should treat yourself once Ina while.

Went there for Brunch.Amazing place with a special ambiance even at lunch time.waiters were very attentive to detail.Nothing too much trouble.Very informative about the specials of the day. Gardens and landscapes are amazing as is the pool area. Highly recommended. They do not advertise. All people that go there are recommended or have visited it before. As it does not advertise you are expected to know where it is.we were invited by our nephew who lives in LA.We are from Australia 🇦🇺

Two of us each ordered the Turbot. For a $70 main course, this small, overcooked/dry and oversalted piece white fish with a small swirl of sauce was so very disappointing. There are multiple excellent restaurants in Los Angeels- but Hotel Bel Air is not one of them.

We booked for our anniversary and my husband’s birthday what can i say it was amazing the service is exceptional and food gorgeous after we finished our meal we moved to their bar and cocktails were very good.

Ambience, cuisine, the whole experience . All the food was spot on, but try the pretzel bread and ‘hands in cookie jar’ dessert. Just epic - if you can go - just go!

Half indoor, half outdoor beautiful patio. Even a trip to the bathroom is worthwhile-it’s stunning. Our fish was cooked perfectly but it took so long to get during a modestly busy Saturday lunch hour.

nice location, friendly staff, but i had steak and eggs for breakfast - and for $40-50USD, i expect my steak to taste amazing. it didn't, so i guess if it di - I would have said the place was great...

This restaurant is in an amazing beautiful setting, just gorgeous, you feel like you are on vacation just sitting there under the fans. We went there for lunch and I think that is the best time to be there. The service is impeccable, but the food was a disappointment, I expected it to be FANTASTIC, it is not, it is pretty blah for lunch, very disappointing...I know Mr. Puck can do MUCH better .....

The restaurant is beautiful, with the flickering gas fire inside and white tablecloths with beautiful china. Quiet and elegant setting, which is a welcome change from Spago Beverly Hills's noisy music. Thank goodness no babies or children in sight. On a cold night if you ask, they will bring you a wonderful blanket to drape over your legs - every time the front door opens, chilly air blasts in, so you may need it, depending on where you are seated! It was raining, and they didn't have enough black non-slip mats on the walkways or floor outside the restaurant - from the valet area all the way to the restaurant, there are several quite slippery areas. Function should take precedence over appearance on rainy nights! I made a point of mentioning this several years ago to management - nothing has been done. I wonder how many people have slipped and fallen??? Delicious food on the whole, from the hot fluffy inside perfectly and delicately crusty outside choice of hot from the oven breads with great butter; clever spoons of amuse bouche avocado tartare with cucumber appetizer from the bar menu soup (the bowl is big enough for two people to split easily) the 8 ox. "butcher's butter" steak - and perfectly cooked fish, a very light caramel soufflé for dessert with green apple sorbet. Hot fresh mint tea and black coffee were both excellent. Lovely generous selections of complimentary mignardises. Service was somewhat unpolished. Our waitress was darling. However, I made the mistake of saying we were hungry and wanted to eat right away. I hate a 2 hour meal where it takes forever to get your food as there is so much time between courses. So all the food was brought together. Big fail. Soup should come first, followed by other courses once that was finished. Instead soup, meat, potatoes and fish were all brought at once. The waitress didn't ask how I wanted my meat cooked - and brought it medium rare, saying that was the default setting. (I like my meat rare). They took the meat and fish away - but left the potatoes to get cold on the table. The mashed potatoes were light and fluffy as can be, btw. Dinner including one champagne cocktail for my Mom and one $40 alcoholic beverage for me came to $400 before tip. We left $100, which seems appropriate for a Saturday night. So not a perfect evening for that price - but on the whole, on of the best you will find in Los Angeles in 2019. We will return.

Bring lots of cash and expect obscene prices. How about ordering the salmon- 6 ounces and $56 and you get zero accompaniments- not one piece of vegetable or rice or a potato! OR choose the steak- merely $82 and you need to still add a side dish. And the quality is nothing special. We had no drinks and no desserts and the bill exceeded $300 for two people. And when you are leaving after having been thoroughly disgusted and left much poorer, you encounter the unannounced and unrevealed $15 parking fee(tip not included). Now I understand how the Sultan of Brunei, the owner of this place remains a billionaire. Run- don't walk past this restaurant.

Loved the setting and attentive service at table. Menu was very varied which is good. Would love to go at night but abit of a drive on curvy roads. Day time is great

Title reflects the best line of the evening when my wife asked a question regarding a special dietary request. To us, this was the perfect response. Our meal was fantastic, service was top notch, and the environment was both romantic and relaxing. As expected, the meal was a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. I will return.

The worst Christmas lunch/experience to date. For $290 (with tip) per person the food was average at best and the setting/atmosphere so disappointing. Insanely overpriced for what was delivered. The tables lacked any special Christmas decor or festive feel. For the price, one would expect a touch of class at each seetting - possibly a small box of chocolates with "Merry Christmas" written on them or a chocolate ornament. This could have been any lunch at the Bel Air Hotel, except I've always loved going their for lunch or dinner in the past. Will not return again for Christmas!

California, at its best, is displayed here in the iconic Bel Aire Hotel. Wolfgang Puck runs a delicious restaurant. The menu was varied and interesting. The usual salads, pizza and hot entrees are available. The Nancy Regan chopped salad is highly recommended. The pizza with smoked salmon was a crowd pleaser. The crab cakes were reportedly good but so tiny they looked like scallops. As we concluded our delightful lunch Chef Puck came through and greeted the guests. Use the spectacular Art Deco bathroom. Unforgettable.

It probably sounds ridiculous to say this, but we really enjoyed the simplicity, and quality, of the Puck Bel-Air food, after a disappointing three Michelin star experience the previous evening. My wife loved the sashimi, whilst my home-made gnocchi, with confit canard, was delicious. My butcher's steak was superb, and my wife's quail was perfect. The piece de resistance, however, was a divine plate of petits fours, with a glorious Royal Tokai, recommended by our superb Hungarian waiter. A bottle of outstanding Gigondas, at 75 dollars, completed a pretty perfect meal.

First thing to say is that this great restaurant is worth visiting just to see the Hotel Bel Air, gorgeous. But the food is divine, top end and surprisingly down to earth. I had the smoked salmon and the Wiener Schnitzel, both tremendous. We were with kids who had the Pizzas which they loved, great wine list. Simply menu, great service, beautiful surroundings… special.

We went to the Hotel Bel Air to enjoy dinner at Wolfgang Puck and what a fantastic experience it was! From walking over the bridge and enjoying the swans (not to mention bumping into Wolfgang himself) to the lively bar and serene setting of the restaurant, this hotel is still one of the best in town. Don't miss Chef Hugo's delicious menu served flawlessly by a top notch staff!

Stayed at the Bel Air for 2 nights and had breakfast at the restaurant each morning. The pancakes are lovely the waffles are amazing and my husband loved the eggs benedict and the fried egg sandwich. Fruit plates are wonderful. The dinner was amazing the service the best and the dessert was so lovely Eat here for sure

Had Christmas brunch with our adult children. We had a wonderful experience, from start to finish. The facilities were impeccable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Everything on the menu looked so good, we had a hard time choosing. We eventually picked the wagyu steak, and the sirloin steak. The sides were also mouth watering; deviled eggs with caviar, butternut squash soup. The dessert table was also impressive, with a variety of clever (and tasty) truffles, cakes, and cookies. This was a holiday menu, but I will definitely go back to try the regular menu.

Had lunch there on Saturday. Made reservations same day. Staff warm and friendly. Busy restaurant, seating outdoors and indoors. I had a booth where the back shade was raised letting in a lovely breeze. Although the plant pollen 'decorated' the table it was fine. Food was outstanding, super yummy. Waiter warm and friendly. Expensive for sure !!

A great dining experience with both in-door and out-door options. An unrivalled level of service and food was on offer amongst the most stylish of surroundings. Exactly what you would expect of a restaurant in the grounds of the Hotel Bel-Air.

This is a beautiful restaurant in a great hotel. The food is outstanding and it is really wonderful to be there. I can't wait to return.

This staff is second to none, They set us up with an amazing cabana table. The food was absolutely perfect and service was total perfection. Highly recommended

One of the great restaurants in LA. I was here for lunch with my wife and daughter. Wait staff is very professional. The lunch menu is great - lots of options and choices. And with a restaurant of this quality at a hotel of the same high quality, they are more than willing to modify and adjust the menu to meet your needs. Among us we had a Caesar salad, sashimi/ahi(?) plate, and an omelet - all impeccably prepared and served. The location is incredible - check out the grounds if you have the time before or after your meal. This is a good place for celebrity sightings if you are looking for that as well.

I had a business lunch at the Hotel Bel Air and was truly taken aback with the food, service and ambiance. We sat outside on the terrace with a great view of the entire restaurant taken over by Wolfgang Puck. The menu is varied and full of choices. We had everything from entree salads to wood fired fish. The setting is truly magical and I highly recommend as in the Hotel Bel Air so private, elegant but with a casual air. The service was fantastic and even-though expensive it is truly worth the experience,

Last month, I went to Los ANGELES for a 2 weeks trip with my dad. As a surprise, he told me we were going to eat at the Bel Air hotel, as one of his client wanted to give him something special to thank him. His idea was great: I will organise you an unforgettable experience at the Bel Air. I will never forget it that is for sure, but not for the right reasons... from the moment we arrived until the minute we left, I felt judged and treated like a nobody. They couldn’t find the reservation, then couldn’t find the wine my dad’s friend selected for us. They talked to us like we were stupid. My dad is a hotel manager so I had the chance to go in a lot of nice places, so I know the way we were treated was not right. We asked the chef to make a selection of first course and we took the special steak (250$!!!) for main. We got a salad, which was pre-cut and tasted like plastic, with some pomegranate seeds which were rotten. Seriously, a salad!!!! And then truffle pasta, with truffle without a taste and lots of truffle oil. The pasta were cold. The steak was not good and the sides were small and basic. Deserts were a joke: 2 ice creams that looked like magnums, cookies, and something with chocolate and caramel that we did not touch as it was horribly sweet. The waiters kept coming to our table asking if everything was ok, literally every 2 seconds. Service was even poorer than the food... I am sad as it was to be a great evening with my dad, but I left with the impression I was no one. I will never go back to this place. No need to say that it is outrageously expensive as the bill was over 500$ EXCLUDIND the wine.

Food is excellent, no need to go out if you stay at the hotel. We ad the tasting menu with wine pairing, fabulous choice, wine was spectacular, food was great, must try!

I'm so sad to write this but Im writing this as a public service so others wont make the same mistake...it's been a family tradition to go to the Hotel Bel Air for lunch during the holidays. Not having been for a few years I'd totally forgotten how awful and "un-Chistmas-y" the remodel of the dining room is...it looks like a mausoleum. Gone is the bright, warm room, and gone is any sort of nod to the holidays other than a sprig of pine and a purple ball on the austere table. Also gone are the patrons..the week before Christmas the room used to be filled to overflowing with local people, but this time it was empty except for one other table.I asked the Maitre D' could they at least play Christmas music, instead of the sort of euro club music that was currently on, he said "Oh.. of course, it was on earlier, I dont know what happened". They switched to some elevator type music but there were no Christmas songs, and when I asked the waiter he said "this is our Christmas station". Also gone is the egg nog in the lobby, where we always stopped to look at the decorations after lunch and before retrieving our car...yep, you guessed it, no more lobby decorations either. The food was delicious, and the service wonderful, and I will probably still go in the summer and sit outside on the patio. But never again for a festive holiday meal, the decor is depressing at any time of year.

Only had breakfast at WP but the food & the service were excellent. It's always fun to sit at one of the tables at the far end of the room that overlook the lake.

Everything about this restaurant, from the setting to the service to the food, was outstanding. While not cheap, the prices are not outrageous for what you get. Will certainly go back. Highly recommended.

This restaurant would be fine if the prices were one half the amount. It's normal to pay a high price in this area, but the food isn't worth it in this case. The food is at the level of an average Paris bistro with the prices of a Michelin 3 star restaurant. The best part of the meal was the bread. There are several other options in the area, you should consider something else.

When you come to the Hotel Bel-Air for dinner, you just feel special. The entrance from the valet is very romantic, country, beautiful, and serene. Are you still in LA? The service is top notch, the wine list can hit every taste, region, country, and price sticker available. We have a small group that visits once a year, and each year, it only gets better. I highly recommend for a group dinner, special occasion, an amazing date night, or a Staycation weekend.

We ate here and what more can you say other than excellent. Every course just got better topped with an unbelievable dessert.

We had a Saturday afternoon brunch that was nothing short of perfection! The patio setting is absolutely beautiful, creating a lovely ambiance. The service was friendly and highly efficient, making us feel well taken care of. The food was wonderful delicious and beautifully presented. What more could we ask for? It truly felt like a slice of heaven! This place is my favorite hotel and my favorite restaurant all in one! Highly recommended!

I was this Morning for Breakfast there. Amazing location and delicious food. You feel real in Oasis. I love Wolfgang Puck restaurants and his chefs ! There are enough choices on menu. Try also for lunch :)

I would give the beautiful setting and the delicious food 4 or 5 stars, but I am giving only 2 stars because we had an inattentive waiter who did not feel that he could be bothered to provide us service. Four of us had tea on a Saturday afternoon. The waiter seemed bothered to explain to us the different types of tea available. A server brought out our sandwiches and no one was available to explain to us what was on each sandwich. This resulted in one of us who does not eat shellfish eating some crab because she thought it was chicken and another of us who does not eat chicken eating some chicken because she thought it was tuna. Also, we were charged $12 for a bottle of still water, when we asked for tap water. After about 40 minutes of having our tea gone cold and waiting for the next course, we flagged down another waiter who explained that our assigned waiter was on break. Fortunately, this waiter was very friendly, helpful and kind. There are plenty of great places to get tea and Wolfgang Puck should step it up.

The restaurant of the Bel Air hotel has several dining spaces: a covered terrace (my favorite) and an indoor closed room with a large fireplace. Their Sunday brunch is really good and packed so better reserve in advance; went there with my sister and saw several celebrities. The menu is extensive and so is their wine list; I recommend their green apple salad with caramelized fruits, the 28-day aged steak and kale pasta. My sister had the Nancy Reagan chopped salad (it’s huge so should be shared!) and the Alaskan salmon. Service is very attentive, impeccable; the atmosphere is elegant but relaxed.

We came to celebrate a birthday dinner. Had a big booth outside, with heat lamps and shawls and lap blankets provided in case we got cold. Lighting was unfortunately dim. I don't find that romantic or atmospheric. A bit brighter and being easy to read the menus are preferable. It doesn't have to be daytime bright! Service was excellent for the most part. Presentation and china is beautiful. Bloody mary was a bit TOO peppery for my taste. Corn salad had too much arugula for my taste. Corn pasta was incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked and fabulous. Green apple sorbet at dessert was flawlessly tasty, icy cold, couldn't be better anywhere. My Mother and brother didn't particularly like their caesar salad as it wasn't cut up, (they should have asked preferences before bringing it, I'm sure they aren't the only people who don't want to cut their lettuce at the table) but they did both like the caesar dressing. She didn't like her entree, and said the coffee was terrible. She doesn't want to return as last time she didn't like her meal either. I will return for the pasta:) Meal was quite expensive, which is to be expected here.

It is not often that I post about an experience, my family and I visited the Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Hotel Bel Air on the 28th December 2018. Our Family had flown in from London, and we wanted to make sure they had a wonderful meal experience, OMG Amazing, on arrival to the restaurant we were greeted, with warmth and smiles by everyone, when we were seated, Candice was our server, settled us, she went through al the menu choices, her menu knowledge was fantastic, we were also with our 6 yrs old nephew, who she also engaged with, following Candice making us welcome, Sean the Sommelier was on hand, we started with Champage, he also served our nephew a non alcoholic version, so he felt included, a very nice touch, then he offed the most amazing wine and WOW the decanter he used, was breath taking. We order a selection of different dishes, Chef Hugo and his team created the most mouthwatering dishes, Candice and Michael, were impeccable in there service delivery, with Sarah overseeing the wonderful service. Having been in LA for a year, we have visited many restaurants, but Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel Air, by far the best, a total hidden jewel, I would give them 10/10 and most certainly will be back, thank you Wolfgang Puck team for making us feel welcome and delivering impeccable service to our family dinner, something we will never forget. Thank you Mr Carl Smith

I had the pleasure of dining at Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air for the first time a few days ago. I've been to the area many times, and while I've always wanted to dine at WP at Hotel Bel-Air, I never had before, but I made a point of doing so on this particular trip. I was so glad I did! My friends had already left town, so I was dining alone. I made a reservation and showed up on time...was pleasantly greeted at the hostess stand when I arrived. They showed me to a lovely large booth, and I was thrilled to have such comfortable seating. But here's the great part: the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Since I had never dined there, I consulted with the waiter about something light for lunch, and he recommended the Japanese BBQ Salmon Salad, something I likely wouldn't have ordered without the suggestion. I was so glad I listened, because when it arrived, it was beautiful and delicious...absolutely perfect! I see several reviews complaining about the pricing, but I knew it wasn't going to be an inexpensive meal, because it was at the very luxurious Hotel Bel Air. It was worth every penny. The service was excellent, and a young lady named Francesca went out of her way to make sure I was happy and comfortable. It was a fabulous experience in a beautifully serene setting! I can hardly wait to return with my family in November! I highly recommend this experience!

We stayed at the Bel Air en route back from US to New Zealand (see review) We had dinner on our final night and breakfast this morning DINNER Everyone loved dinner - quality of food was fantastic, wine delicious and the service excellent - we couldn't fault any aspect of the evening at all Breakfast was just as big a hit with the entire family Whether you are staying at the holtel or not this is a recommend from the entire family

If you want to have a special occasion lunch or dinner and escape the "city" this place is the best for a girls lunch, romantic date, business lunch or any special occasion. The food is delicious, and the patio is delightful. Only complaint I would have is that the menu does not change much! The service is impeccable! It is on the expensive side! Try to get a reservation for one of the alcoves, it is especially nice for a group of up to 6.

The first time I visited Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, I dined alone, but I was made to feel so comfortable that when I returned to the LA area recently with friends, I could hardly wait to take them there. I'm so glad I did! Every employee we encountered was warm and friendly. We had a reservation and were shown to our table immediately upon arrival. The restaurant is lovely and serene, and we had a perfect booth. There was live music that helped create a peaceful setting. Everything about our visit was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed the crudité, some tacos, and some salads...and finished with warm cookies. Special recognition to FRANCESCA, who was the most delightfully sweet server. We can hardly wait to return later in the year!

I've never stayed at the Hotel Bel Air, but I've been there for dinner several times. It's a charming, high class venue which aims to offer the 'perfect' dining experience. Unfortunately, I think their standards have started to slip. The management need to improve their attention to detail or the restaurant's reputation will start to suffer. Let's start with the good points. If you choose to dine here, you'll enjoy the beautiful grounds, the charming cocktail bar, and the spacious, relaxing and well-run restaurant itself. The food is excellent, the staff are attentive and efficient, and it's certainly a special, high class dining experience. It's not inexpensive (you'll pay about $250-300 for cocktails, dinner and a bottle of wine for two), but no-one comes to a restaurant like this if they're concerned about money. However, my most recent visit (August 2016) suggests the management have stopped paying attention to small details. This isn't good. (1) The waitress brought out two cocktail menus, one for me and one for my partner. Mine had several pages missing. (2) The 'piano' cocktail bar had tinny pop music playing (before the pianist turned up for his shift). Some soothing classical music or light jazz would have enhanced the ambience of the place, but just piping pop and rock music into the room isn't a smart decision. (3) At one point, one cocktail waitress came to take our order and then, two minutes after we'd ordered our drinks, a second one came along to ask if we wanted anything. This doesnt suggest good management. (4) The wine list isn't well thought out. There were literally dozens of Cabernet wines but only two Zinfandels. The waiter said this was simply because their wine buyer doesn't much care for Zin. This simply isn't good enough for a place that aims to offer high quality. The aim should be to offer a wide selection of wines to suit all tastes and preferences, not just to suit the whims of one person. (5) We ordered a side of broccoli with our main courses. They forgot, so the broccoli turned up late, five minutes after everything else. This isn't good enough for a place that aims to be 'high quality' and charges accordingly. The Hotel Bel Air is a wonderful LA venue, and dining here has always been a wonderful experience. However, as I've shown in this review, the current management team seem to have let their standards slip.

The Bel Air Hotel is set in beautiful surroundings well away from the hurly burly of Los Angeles central, which is an advantage, but could be a disadvantage if you were staying there, which I wasn't. Wolfgang Puck's restaurant at the Bel Air is surely his best, certainly one of the best. The food is absolutely delicious and I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you order. This is a wonderful place for celebrations, and you can expect to see noisy and famous people at just about every table. Of course you need to book well in advance, and you may well get to meet Mr Puck himself, as I did a couple of weeks ago. Ask for a booth if at all possible.

Wolfgang Puck restaurant at Bel-Air is a real hidden gem in LA. We didn't stay at the hotel, just went there for a Sunday brunch. At about $95 per person, the brunch has a fixed-price menu where you choose two courses and desert. Everything we ordered was very fresh and tasted amazing. One of the highlights was the tortilla soup and deserts. The patio of the restaurant is very private and there is live music on the weekends. I saw that some people were dressed up, however some were pretty casual in track suits and sneakers. Overall, relaxing and non-pretentios but classy. Bel-Air hotel itself is worth a look too - beautiful grounds and a nice pond with swans!

We came for dinner to celebrate my husbands' birthday, and were very impressed. The waiter was very friendly and approachable (that is, not stuffy, yet still appropriate) which isn't always the case at a high end restaurant. Wow, what a wine list! The wine we ordered was so good, and the meal I had was excellent. It was the Butchers Butter, which is a very flavorful cut of meat. It was cooked to perfection with a sort of carmelized char on it..delicious! My husband enjoyed his meal also, the sea bass..very healthfully prepared, and flavorful. The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasing as well. It feels like Italy or Europe in that it's sort of outdoor, but still indoors (or so it feels because they have excellent patio heaters). We would recommend and return!

We celebrated my husbands 60th birthday at this restaurant recently. The staff were so amazing and made him feel so special. The food is fantastic, a very extensive menu, great quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. Great wine list and fabulous cocktails.

Everybody come to visit Bel Air, absolutely stunning hotel! Enjoyed a very California style lobster salad at this beautiful classic restaurant, refreshing! Food was good, service is average. It doesn't matter, in such a beautiful day, we had fun! Love the tropical gardens!

I think it's mostly been said, but this restaurant at the Belair has it all. Beautiful outdoor terrace and setting, incredible wine list, amazing service, innovative menu...I had duck, it was so tender and flavorful...my lovely wife went with sea bass - also amazing. The wines were sensational, splurged on dessert...super romantic!

The quiet elegant garden setting is so lovely, and the service is excellent. Dinner was superb. Every single item sent out by the Chef at this $95 per person family style dinner was flawlessly prepared and delicious, from the deviled eggs to the corn muffins to the cole slaw, baked beans, fried okra, macaroni & cheese (white cheddar), tomato salad, corn salad, honey fried chicken, baby back ribs, tri-tip, peach pie, etc., etc. A definite winner and well worth the cost. We are looking forward to returning!

Great atmosphere...the Hotel Bel-Air is a legend and just to walk the grounds would be enough but then you get great food as well. Win win as far as I can see.

This has to be one of the most romantic spots in LA for dining. We stayed at the Beverly Hills Hotel and were fortunate to have a car take us to its sister property for dinner. The drive at night from busy Sunset Blvd to the quiet enclave of Bel Air is magical, as you enter the hotel grounds you are met at a foot bridge which takes you to this intimate hotel. The restaurant while only half full had a subdued but energetic vibe yet highly romantic. The servers and the wine list is highly approachable: yes there are bottles at $6500 but there a MANY at the $100 price mark as well. I can tell you the butternut squash soup was amazing with a terrific hint of apple and bright acidity that complemented the velvety soup. The American Wagyu sirloin is generous in portion and the homemade reduction sauce is a wonderful compliment to the rich cut of beef. My partner and I celebrated our wedding dinner here and were met with a great surprise dessert brought out by the pastry chef which consisted of our favorite flavors apricot creme brulee, salted caramel ice cream and a rich and decadent dark chocolate brownie cake. Spot on service, romantic location and setting make this place truly special

Simply an outstanding experience too to bottom. The indoor and outdoor dining areas are beautiful. The service is top notch and professional with no request being too much. The food is Puck. Simply delicious and some of the best anywhere. One of the top restaurants in the city. Get an alcove table outside and in the back for privacy. It is wonderful.

Ate form appetizers to desert and all was good as always. Started with some chef's amuse-bouche and ordered Sashimi and Pizza Margherita. Mains were from Filet Mignon to USDA prime. Service was a little slow because it seemed to be very busy, but we were in no hurry. Can highly recommend.

Nothing but class. Lunch on the patio was fabulous and relaxing. Excellent food and exeptional service. Love the vibe of this beautiful restaurant. What an enchanting experience !

Since Wolfgang Puck took over a few years ago it has gone from a good neighborhood place to a great neighborhood place for dinner or brunch. The staff is young, on their toes, not pretentious. A great experience every time, and we have been there very often.

I have been an ardent fan and customer of the Hotel Bel Air for at least 65 years, but we now live in Santa Barbara & had not seen the Hotel Bel Air since its remodel. It was a disappointment as was the lunch . The Hotel Bel Air had the tastiest Tortilla soup that I have ever tasted. The new chef decided to spice it up to the extent that it destroyed its great flavors. The loup de mer was a small piece, was grilled and came with nothing. I ordered a side of spinach which was tasteless. They were overpriced ($54 for the loup and side). The rolls & bread were OK - not great. Neither my wife nor the other lady in our group ate much of their salads. I tasted my wife's salad. I understand why she did not eat much of it - it was tasteless. While we were being seated, we were told that Nancy Reagan no longer comes to the restaurant. She lives nearby and I assumed it was because of her age. The menu has a salad named after Nancy Reagan. After I tasted the salad, I decided that she no longer eats there because the food is not very good. The service was excellent and the swans are still beautiful. The new decor is stark and cold as contrasted to the warmth of its atmosphere prior to the remodel. There was no comfortable seating in the lobby (all too low). I could tolerate what was done to the decor, but I will not pay for average food at restaurant that once had one of the highest ratings of any L.A. restaurant. Prior to the remodel, we enjoyed staying in the rooms at the hotel because they were so comfortable. Based on what I saw of the redesign, I doubt the rooms are as comfortable as they once were. I came, I saw and do not plan to return to what was my favorite hotel and restaurant in Southern California.

On a busy Saturday night we were able to get a table near the faux fireplace (inside dining) and enjoyed a leisurely dinner. Our server was very professional and all the staff were attentive. For those who love bread, there are 3 excellent choices including a great pretzel bread. Had both breakfast and dinners here and both were outstanding.

A great dining experience in my view is a combination of atmosphere, service and quality of the food. When the three components are in sync, then the table explodes with pleasure and enjoyment that is greatly compounded into a fantastic evening. We enjoyed such an experience last night at the Wolfgang Puck at the fabled Hotel Bel-Air. It starts actually before you get to the Hotel Bel- Air. If you've never ventured this way, you can't believe that the drive up toney Stone Canyon Road will actually end up at a restaurant. This neighborhood is Bel Air posh to an extreme degree with large estates behind high walls in a lush, tree filled canyon. You pull into the entrance at the Bel Air and once out of the car you start the iconic walk across the bridge, with gardens and streams below you, towards the posh Spanish style buildings of the hotel. The game is on! I would highly recommend a pre-dinner cocktail at the Palm Bar, a spectacular, old school bar where you can describe what you like to the bartenders and sit back and let them create something new to stir your tastes. Separate view on the Palm to be done. Once it is dinner time, we were seated in one of the cubby hole like have circled tables, which was perfect for four of us. These tables are back by the larger separate dining alcoves, which can fit up to seven or eight people comfortably in a semi private setting. These are worth it if you want a bit of privacy but not be totally cut off in a separate room. The service was outstanding right from the start. Attention to detail is obvious. The restaurant manager brought by the table an immensely large truffle that the chef was using that evening on a number of truffle featured dishes. He said it was the largest single truffle in California, and I wouldn't have doubted that as he showed us a cauliflower sized gem. Wine list is outstanding, We enjoyed a Kistler chardonnay. We split appetizers for the table, and enjoyed the varied breads that the kitchen served up. Entrees were outstanding, from scallops to the Butchers Butter steak, and I had an outstanding veal chop. There were sides for the table. Dessert we shared also. This isn't a cheap dinner. We went all in and for four came out at $800, including two $150 dollar bottles of wine. For a special evening, this is as good as it gets. Book in advance, and once you settle in, remind yourselves that you aren't there to eat.....you are there to dine!

Not sure that the overall service, food or ambiance could be better anywhere in Los Angeles than this. The service is top notch, highly professional, warm and friendly. They think of everything. The menu us varied, delicious and the food is of the best quality anywhere. The fish, meats and produce are unrivaled, and the meals themselves are outstanding. The restaurant itself is incredibly beautiful. It really is as good as it gets.

My wife is still talking about this dinner one week later. Made reservations and were caught in traffic but had no problem getting them to hold reservation. Greeted nicely and congratulated us on our anniversary. Complementary champagne was excellent. Bread before dinner extremely fresh and tasty. Wife loved her beet salad. We shared the T-bone special that was carved at our table and melted in our mouths. Had a very nice Bordeaux with dinner. Had a soufflé for dessert and they also brought a nicely decorated slice of cake. Seating area was interesting as they had sections that were more private than others and other open areas that were covered but open to the outside. Heaters made the temperature nice and toasty. Ambience of the facility was quite nice overall. This was not an inexpensive visit (approx $250) but it was a treat for us that was well worth the price. I would highly recommend this to anyone for a special night out.

Lovely Bel-Air setting and wonderful welcome by the concierge and valet staff. The piano bar service was excellent. The restaurant wine service was very poor, we ordered a Pinot Grigio and were presented with a Gavi, our wine server insisted that it was the wine we ordered and that Gavi was a region. The wine was warm...The food was average - Abbot Kinney restaurants are far superrior in terms of service and quality.

The restaraunt was very busy, and we were seated around 9 pm. We were staying at the hotel so it was all good. O ordered the "Butter Steak" and it was the tenderest steak I have ever eaten. (and I have eaten at all the big name steak houses) The mushroom side was excellent also. My wife had a lamb chop and she loved it. Yes it cost a fortune.. When in Rome, you know...

We dined At Pucks this past Thursday with one of LA's top Chef's and Style trend setters. Two of our meals we served perfectly cooked, two were way over cooked, and were to be the same temperature of one that was perfect. Puck should be embarrassed. The service is extrodinary, but the management did not do anything about this miscue on the bill. We sat and ate as our guests waited 13 more minutes to be served. I expect more when spending $500.00 for dinner at the Resturant I first met my wife at,

Celebrated our friends birthday with lunch and champagne. Lovely setting and excellent service. The champagne was fabulous!

Dear Wolfie, I am writing you because I am so sad about what your kitchen did to your Wiener Schnitzel and what your staff did for our experience. I was so excited to select your restaurant for a number of reasons- I was taking my mom out for a special occasion who craved wiener schnitzel. So few special occasion locations offer that anymore. Also, the Hotel Bel-Air held so many lovely memories as a place of elegance and warmth, and loveliness. And your reputation as a great restaurateur piqued my interest. What a promising combination! We were primed for a great night- anticipating a memorable experience, and great food and wine. But Wolfgang, not only did your kitchen make a wiener schnitzel that would have been the scandal of Vienna, the team in the dining room didn't do you any favors either. It was a cold and rainy night. The host stand was chaotic. The host attempted to seat us outside because I placed a request for a quieter table. When I asked to be seated inside, she said it would be noisy there. We didn't want to sit outside on a cold night and we asked to be seated inside anyway. The dining room was empty. I think because, we were neither celebrities or regulars, it appeared to be a signal to the dining room staff to make us a lower priority. A man came to our table and said "It looks like you closed your menu. What do you want to order?" I think the service at CPK has more warmth. Wolfie, it eventually got busier but there were many people working in the dining room- bussers, servers (actually really just order takers), and food runners- but none seemed particularly interested in creating a memorable experience. Oh, wait! Did I mention our experience with ordering wine? No, I didn't. And that is because there was no experience. Though we were presented us with a wine list never bothered to ask us if we wanted wine with our meal. So we just drank water. And then the schnitzel. It wasn't pan fried. It was deep-fried, almost like a tempura. The breading didn't adhere to the veal. Wolfie! The veal was so tough that I gave my mom my steak knife which didn't really help. I don't remember her ever meeting a Schnitzel she didn't like. This was the first time I saw her leave food on her plate. This is where it gets even funnier- or sadder. Another order taker (perhaps a food runner) came to the table and asked how was our meal. When I said, "uhmmm...okay I guess?" He replied, "What would you like for dessert?" I smiled and said, "No thanks." It was then I realized your dining room has little to no interest in creating a dining experience and that the reputation behind your name and the Hotel Bel-Air was more than sufficient. And at that point, we were looking forward to getting out of the dining room. I think we were done with the whole meal in under an hour. I had unremarkable lamb chops with a dollop of an eggplant spread which was listed on the menu as roasted eggplant. And finally Wolfie, you should know, the person responsible for your Social Media did not try to respond when I wrote the restaurant privately with my concerns to Open Table. I had hoped to limit my remarks privately, but since there was no response, I now felt compelled to write you this open letter. Wolfie, I think you better fly back from Las Vegas or New York or wherever you are spending your time these days and see how your team at this location is not doing you any justice. I am sorry I am calling you Wolfie. I am thinking that may not be very respectful of a notable chef, but it is consistent with the way your team made us feel. Mom and I drove back home and stopped at In N Out for a burger. The service there and value proposition was so much more satisfying. If you are in Las Vegas and you are driving to Los Angeles, it would be a good place to stop and search for possible replacements for the team at your restaurant. If you noticed, I didn't complain about the price. If you select a restaurant for a special occasion, it comes with the territory. But I probably would have given the same feedback if this was an Applebee's and if they served food of the same quality and lack of interest. By the way, Applebee's does a pretty good job. Hmmm, by now you may be thinking I am an unsophisticated diner since I am talking about CPK and In N Out and Applebees. But really it is that particular experience that made me think of those places. If you are feeling more ambitious, you could make a visit to Gary Danko in San Francisco and experience people who love to make their guests feel special- all their guests. I wish you all the best and hope you can get a chance to do a training session on how to do a Schnitzel for your team. That, or take it off the menu and add something with Grilled Chicken Breast instead- maybe more in their wheelhouse.

The Bel Air Hotel offers a gorgeous setting for Wolfgang’s restaurant. However, do NOT accept seating in any of the booths as they are the most uncomfortable, worn out seating on the planet. The booths belong in a bad fraternity movie set, not a gorgeous restaurant. Food was average. Service was very good and the staff were super friendly. Dear Wolfgang.....Spend a few dollars and buy some booths that actually provide a comfortable experience!

If you are staying at the hotel this is a great place to dine, But I am not sure I would travel away from downtown just to eat here.

We stayed at the Hotel for a couple nights and had lunch here one day. The service was great and the food matched. I had the baby kale salad with grilled shrimp. It was very good.

When checking in for dinner to celebrate my wedding anniversary, I was told by the hostess that the alcove booths were not available because they were all reserved. I pointed out that we were celebrating a special occasion, as indicated on the reservation. The hostess responded that “everyone is celebrating a special occasion.” So, my wife and I had dinner for 1.5 hours while two of the semi-private booths were completely empty. When leaving, I asked how to reserve one. I was then told seating was on a first come first served basis so even if I reserved one, they wouldn’t guarantee that it would be available when I arrived. Although the food was excellent and the waiter very attentive, this was an extremely disappointing experience and a waste os $500.

I was fortunate enough to hear about wolfgang Puck at hotel bel air from a friend who goes to UCLA. I have to be honest I had no idea Wolfgang puck had a restaurant there. Once I looked on line and saw the setting I made it a point to come up here while entertaining family and look good maybe catch a celebrity or two. We came for dinner on a Friday and it was very busy. I made the reservation a couple days before but didn’t have any issue getting a table. We arrived early and had a cocktail in the bar which was a bit pricey but given the setting I guess I get it. Had a great bartender named Ron I think. Recommended a great tequila cocktail very refreshing . The service was on point and as expected given the prices . I didn’t catch any celebrities although there were some people that I just couldn’t put my finger on. The food was the star of the show for me. Amazing sashimi and they had Jamón like in Spain and uni from Santa Barbara . My family shared the lobster pasta which was plenty for them and I had the highly recommended “Butcher butter”? Whatever it was it was amazing. Came with a big piece of marrow and a spicy Armagnac sauce. The spot prawns were a real treat. Well worth it. Desserts were amazing as my family has never tried rhubarb and we even got little treats with the bill . All and all I like how easy access it was. I would of thought it would have been harder to get into. Will have to try in the day time

Situated in and around the courtyard of the delightful Hotel Bel Air, this restaurant delivers great and sometimes superb food in a lovely setting. I had both a dinner there- which was well judged in terms of the meats and desert. The lunch menu sitting in the courtyard on a warm May lunchtime was particularly good- also an ideal vantage point to watch tables of 'ladies who lunch', lunching and at the sight of Mr Puck coo with delight and of course have their photo taken with the great man. Well judged wines are pricey but not if you chose well astronomic. Deserts here are excellent -even chosen by someone who is normally not tempted by this course!

Delicious dinner and beautiful surroundings. Perfect ambiance for an anniversary celebration. The food and service were excellent.

Had multiple meals here while staying at hotel. Food was delicious and there is an amazing wine list. The best was a pasta with truffles which was simply perfect.

Our first night stay at the Hotel Bel Air was on Jan. 1st. Many restaurants in Los Angeles were closed. So, we stayed in as it were. The service was good, as was the food. An excellent wine list was available. The wait staff were delightful.

We had a Saturday afternoon brunch that was a bit of perfection! The setting is the most beautiful patio. The service is both friendly and highly efficient. The food is wonderful. What more could we ask for? A slice of heaven! My favorite hotel and favorite restaurant all in one!

This is a beautiful restaurant with light, open-aired seating. The food and wine was delicious. Top notch ingredients, prepared flawlessly made for a wonderful evening. We dined early as we had our three small children in tow (who exercise appropriate manners in upscale restaurants). They were treated with kindness and welcomed into the space. It was fun to watch the crowd filter in...you could practically see the anticipation for a wonderful evening glistening in their eyes. Definitely would eat here again the next time we stay at Hotel Bel-Air.

I wanted to take out my wife for a nice lunch at the Patio of the hotel since I had been there before and liked it. The fish I ordered was dry and had a bad fish taste, my wife only had a special salad which was ok and the coffee we ordered must have stood there to be picked up quite a while because it was cold. In a restaurant like this there should be no chairs with the seating pillow torn. Service was very friendly and good. All in all not to be recommended for lunch.

This pace is always amazing. Quiet and upscale. The wine list is great. The food exactly what I'd expect from Wolfgang..

Dining was wonderful - we had breakfast and dinner. Great service and devious food. Very romantic too.

Outstanding dining at the Bel-Air Hotel! One of my favorite high-end LA dining experiences. Service is impeccable, drinks were creative and tasty, and the food was outstanding. Every single dish was exceptional (and we tried many). Not to mention the bread selection (bavarian pretzel bread, focacia with goat cheese, olive bread - all great!). The tables are great, but if you can get a sexy, romantic booth tucked away in the corners. Outstanding ambience! Hotel Bel-Air, and Wolfgang...well done! Great 5-Star experience!

The booths are the best and the food bar none! Great service, gorgeous in or out door dining... we prefer outdoor. Great selection of beautifully plated food to choose from. Service and staff are excellent. Always a treat to eat here.

Food: over cooked pork chop; Yukon gold potatoes, tasteless, puréed, served in a soufflé cup; bread basket terribly overpriced. Overall the food lacks creativity. Would never go back. Service: overwhelmed by wait staff, wanted to order a drink, asked waiter if we could order with him he said no he would get someone else. Told waiter we were disappointed with quality of food, he said “I asked you before and you didn’t say anything.” Service staff continued to walk behind me, our corner table ended up being a through fare for wait staff and the kitchen. The wait staff were dressed in gray jeans & mostly black shirts, not business casual. Overall the experience felt very rushed, we received entree’s immediately after receiving the appetizer. Over priced food and terrible service.

A return visit and we sampled the Latin Flavors Dine LA menu - it was very impressive! We expected the impeccable service, beautiful surroundings and unsurpassed romantic ambience of this Bel Air institution - but then we got the additional flavorsome and fascinating creations presented on this menu - and passionately described and presented by the excellent waiters. A wonderful experience.

Wonderful experience! This restaurant is very romantic. The Bel-air hotel property very beautiful. The cocktails very good. Wine list decent. The service was very professional. The food very good. The kale pasta and lamb Oh my!!!! The seasonal bean salad so fresh. If you chose one restaurant in LA it should be this one.

Great Steak And Fries ! Service Is Outstanding & So Is Decor This Is A World Class Restaurant With Great People Watching But It Is Really Expensive !

We arrived to see Wolfgang Puck on his rounds. No absentee chef, he. After eating three dinners, two lunches, and four breakfasts here, I can say that every ingrediant was perfectly cooked and impeccably sourced .

I can share the excitement of the people who have enjoyed this restaurant. We spent here an amazing evening on my birthday in late October, on the terrace. The atmosphere is very warm, the service is impeccable, the food is delicious. And, having said all that, the bill was definitely not outrageous. Highly recommended for special occasions! Will go back :)

Always more and more difficult to find a good happy hour those day specially in LA but in this please they still know how to do it and how to treat customers Well done Nikki special thanks to you because you made a great effort to make it really really good We will definitely come back.

A family member comes to town every other month and stays for a week at the Bel Air Hotel so we have had many lunches and dinners in the dining room over the last six months or so. First, the positive -- the ambience is outstanding. A truly lovely room with subtle lighting and very attractive touches. The staff is extremely friendly but elusive at times. They seem to disappear quite frequently over the course of a meal. I am not exactly sure what the problem is -- the kitchen too far from the main dining room area or perhaps the room is under-staffed? There does always seem to be an abundance of staff present. But, the most important component of the evening for me is the food. I have had very delicious meats, vegetables (delicious mashed potatoes) and outstanding mixed fruit for dessert. But the chicken pot pie is passable and the lobster salad is virtually tasteless. My suggestion would be to ask the staff for their thoughts about what to order. We will continue to go there and I am very interested to see how our next few visits go.

Had Breakfast here everyday of our stay. Staff were happy to tweak the options to accommodate our wishes

We went for the $99 DineLA menu on 1/11/19 and thought it was really a bargain. The food was so good everyone kept saying "They have really thought a lot about this dish." We left stuffed, but very satisfied. The service was excellent. It reminded you what good service was about, especially compared to what you normally get in LA these days. If we did it again, I would take the pizza home for lunch the next day. I wouldn't skip the opportunity to have dessert, if you have a choice (I usually skip). We haven't been there for several years; last time was before it was a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. I find it annoying that the price for meals is not posted on the website, nor do they say if it is pre fixe. I think it is normally quite expensive; so the DineLA dinner was really a steal. It has always been a special and beautiful place, especially for brunch or lunch, when you can see the swans.

The title says it all. A great location with a lovely ambience - both on the terrace and inside by the fire. Food was innovative and cooked perfectly. Service really stood out also - particularly our server, Christian.

My family brought me here to celebrate my birthday. I have never experienced worse service in my many years of dining out in fine restaurants. Among the highlights were a 40 minute wait for rolls, the waiter never putting the order in for my son’s dinner, making 3 young children wait 30 minutes for ice cream and bringing out the wrong birthday dessert. I can’t comment on the food as I lost my appetite.

This is a cozy and elegant restaurant, with a minimalist decor. The service was impeccable, attentive, and professional, without being intrusive or pretentious. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the wine pairings. The whole experience was a treat that I will never forget. Restaurant is not cheap, but it is worth every penny for the quality and exclusivity of the food and service. It is a place to celebrate a special occasion, or to treat yourself to a once-in-a-lifetime meal. This is one of the best restaurants in the area, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fine dining.

What a lovely place to dine. The ambiance was incomparable and the food was really quite delicious. The service was top notch and the menu was not large but quite versatile.

I stayed at the Bel Air for two nights and enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant each morning. I also loved the wonderful fruit plates they were so fresh and delicoius. it was a fantastic way to start my day, and I can't wait to come back for another visit!

I had the tastiest lamb joint ever at this restaurant. It was so nice that I had it 2 days lunch in a row

This is my absolute favorite breakfast in LA. Beautiful courtyard, excellent service and tasty food.

Wolfgang! Hurry up and get over there! If I were you I would not want my name on this restaurant. We went for a special birthday dinner. Staff could not be more cold and unaccommodating. Menu was overly fancy for what it was--the food was ridiculously bad and overpriced. Main courses came out cold, the steak that two of us thought we could share (given the price) was the size of a tiny filet mignon. All in we spent over $800 for 6 people -- we ordered no appetizers, no bottles of expensive wine (only 3 of us had second cocktails). Had to beg and plead for the "special dessert" they said they would bring with a candle on it for our birthday guest (waiter forgot, even after a reminder). If highway robbery is your thing, have fun. We'll go elsewhere.

My wife and I have had many meals at Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, the service is outstanding and the food and drinks are exquisite. Over the years we have got to know many of you, Beatrice, Juan, Daniel (Left), Page, Liz and recently Alexa. We have also had several special gatherings, the most memorable was my oldest daughters 1st Birthday party and yesterday 10, September had a very intimate birthday party for both our oldest and youngest daughter. The restaurant front desk staff (Beatrice/Page, Alexa and Liz) did not let us down, it was also a treat to meet Alexa for the first time. Our daughters fell in like with her immediately! We were sat immediately at a nice quiet gazebo-like table which was exactly what I'd asked for. Juan, our favorite waiter, greeted us. He's known us since our oldest daughters 1st Birthday party, stil citing it was so memorable! Juan took great care of us all the way through and even joined us in singing Happy Birthday to our daughters. The food was exceptional, everyone is so friendly and at the end when we took the girls to the grass to stretch and play, Alexa came and complemented how polite our girls were, that they touched her hearty asking Alexa what her name was and even shared that a few patrons had complemented our daughters too. She then provided a really special surprise for each, Bel-Air bears!!!!! Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air doesn't disappoint, it's quiet, it's private, the service unparalleled to any other establishment, and the people go well out of their way to please their customers.

I remain a die-hard fan of the Bel-Air despite having been one of the many Angelenos to balk (and mourn) the design of the once-classic interiors of the hotel. And, the restaurant is fundamental to my Los Angeles lunch scene. However, my most recent visit has compelled me to write in hopes of, hopefully, propelling the team there to pull the overall experience back to the glory days when Reagans and Bloomingdales graced the room. It was during those days that the maitre d' or hostess would answer the call with interest and attention, not indifference to the spelling of my name, nor a triple interruption to take another call, respond to a colleague nearby or simply drifting off. Nancy would never need to point out that the table cloth needed dusting off, let alone be taken to the furthest corner of the restaurant (private, but not elegant) while empty tables abound in the main area. Betsy would not need to call the restaurant to find out if her credit card was left behind (the host/ess having my phone number on hand from the reservation) much less need to endure the hostess singing along to Katy Perry while waiting for the card to be retrieved. This on top of the irritation she displayed at my having turned up at the stand, at her directive over the phone, versus the security office. Now, this is not to say that the food wasn't terrific and the service equally stellar. But, to "top and tail" the experience with people who clearly don't appreciate the hotel's, or it storied guests', legacy, is a real pity whether or not the Bel-Air is your weekly lunch haunt or a once-in-a-lifetime treat. Time to sharpen focus Bel-Air and Wolfgang!

I had come from Toronto so I did not want to eat inside. The staff had propane heaters everywhere, making the Terrace toasty. The staff circulate like a three star Michelin restaurant. There when you needed them, in the background when not,I had breakfast and lunch there. Its hard to make breakfast exciting but they did, even the oatmeal was was outstanding. Every ingredient at both meals was fresh. This is one of the few hotel restaurants I would dine at!

Just a wonderful place to be served in comfort with good food and great service. Wine list is extensive and the foods are excellent

We had a fabulous meal with impeccable service. The entire staff made you feel as if you were someone special. Two people in our party had the tasting menu which they both raved about! Each course was exquisite! I had the apple ring salad which was excellent and for my main course I had the veal. Another masterpiece. If you are ever in the LA area I would definitely make it a point to visit this amazing restaurant at the Hotel Bel-Air.

When I need a restaurant for a special occasion, Wolfgang Puck at the Hotel Bel Air is my go to place. We recently took my daughter and her boyfriend to the restaurant to celebrate their birthdays. It goes without saying that the location is magical. To walk through the garden then to sit at a table on the terrace is really an extraordinary experience in Los Angeles. The service is impeccable. The prices are quite high but I don't mind because the food is so delicious. (It annoys me to no end to pay high prices for mediocre cuisine!) If you have a special occasion, a birthday or an anniversary, I highly recommend this restaurant.

….to try and work out what was going on at the Bel Air Hotel restaurant. Was I missing something, or simply not understanding it? Sadly, it didn’t take long – far from being an excellent restaurant in a first-class hotel, this is a steak-and-salad joint, serving declassé dishes, a limited and uninspired menu presented in the most charming surroundings, but dull and repetitive none-the-less. The limits are clear – a salad as a first course, or soup, like a cheap steak house, followed by three kinds of steak or a hamburger from the bar menu, with one pasta dish and a bit of fish and chicken. No mention of the specialized Japanese grill – they have a specialized Japanese grill – and no mention that the steaks don’t come with anything – the steaks don’t come with anything so order some frites or other vegetables and salads, if you haven’t already had a salad to start with. Once the reasoning lobes of your brain have worked all this out, be prepared to sit back and watch, because nobody will come near you unless summoned – well, that isn’t exactly the whole truth, as the very charming boy who deals with the water was doing his job on every occasion I was there recently, but the rest of the staff – and there are a very great many of them – were swanning about chatting amongst themselves, undirected as there was no evidence of an controlling figure, all too busy to come to the table of their own volition to: take an order, clear a dish or two, re-fill wine-glasses, take more orders for coffee or dessert or offer the check. They looked lovely, though, I must say, but they are an idle bunch, bar the water boy, who is still charming. And clearly embarrassed that we took charge of our own wine bottles in the end, which is what one does in an ordinary steak-and-salad joint, which is what this is - sadly.

We were so looking forward to dinner, we left beyond disappointed.Positives first , the wine list and sommelier are good. I am afraid that’s where it ends. Obsequious service, tasteless kosher food, shame on you Wolfgang. Hideous experience.

Christmas eve dinner 12/24/14 but you would never know it at the Bel Air Hotel.....no Christmas trees, no lights or ornaments, no carol singers,.....it could have been July 21. But they did manage a $160 dinner prix fixe dinner that was a wonderful dinner. BUT.....what were they thinking to charge my 9 year old grandson $45 for a hamburger, Must have been the Christmas spirit that was lacking every where else in the restaurant, except the cash register on this very special family evening.

Went there for a very expensive New Years eve dinner….. we sat for a good 30 mins and were just served champagne and bread rolls. 9 bread rolls for 10 people…. Are we in a 3rd rate restaurant??? After 30 minutes the appetizer arrived… tasteless sashimi… then half a baked potato with a tea spoon of caviar, ravioli, a 1oz piece of halibut, followed by a piece of steak that was rare and cold…. It was sent back to the kitchen and then presented overcooked and dry. I told the waitress that I did not eat meat and she proceeded to tell me off for not having told her that earlier when she asked the guests at the other end of the table… a decent waiter asks each guests individually and does not expect the patron to Yell across the table. Then the waitress started arguing with me that I just ate meat… “what meat?” I asked her…. “Halibut “ she responded…. “Ah… that’s fish” I said “it’s the meat if a fish” she snapped back… at this point I was beyond ticked off and would have left the table but did not want to make a scene…. This waitress was either a genuine moron or was really trying to get on my last nerve. My final answer to her idiotic comment was “ I am talking about a cow… I don’t eat the meat of a COW!!!” The hi light of the whole meal was the dessert Mango sorbet, a quarter sized serving of fudge and gnache. There was a live jazz band also ….but unfortunately the speakers were so ridiculously loud no one could hold a conversation. Music at a meal should be background noise…. Not drowning out any chance of communication. On the whole the dinner was a very expensive fiasco and Puck should be ashamed of to have his name associated with such unrefined and plain awful Food and rude and disrespectful service.

I've had lunch, dinner and brunch at the HBA. There are 3 constants: 1) It feels classy without making you feel like you need to be a British Lord or as famous as Robert Downey Jr to be welcomed. 2) the food is something excellent. 3) it is priced to match the quality of the establishment. Have a date night, enjoy a fantastic brunch or make a lot of money and go there regularly, but DO visit this wonderful restaurant and take some time to walk the amazing grounds of the hotel. They are also incredibly nice with small children. Two small pieces of advice: 1) At dinner, the appetizers are "meh", but the entrees and desserts are worthwhile. 2) The bill seems to like punishing those who like caffeine. Dont overdo it with the cappucinos if you are on a budget!

We enjoyed a delightful breakfast here. Their outdoor seating is perfect for a sunny morning. The service was top notch. We enjoyed delicious pancakes & coffee. It was the perfect choice for a leisurely, romantic breakfast. Afterwards we enjoyed strolling thru the hotel's beautiful gardens. Truly delightful !

Ridiculous. Evidently it's peak season for sugar. Everything was sweet - overly sweet- from the Salad to the scallops to the Brussels sprouts. Sugar was the predominant flavor. Add to that the absurd wine list...Not a fan.

This is one of my very favorite places to come to whether I am staying at the hotel or not. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, the people are great. LOVE THIS PLACE!

We had dinner here because we were staying at the hotel, but what a happy accident -- it turned out to be superb. The sole negatives were somewhat slow service, and that we had to ask to have the ceiling heaters turned on, as this is essentially an outdoor restaurant and the weather was chilly. Everything else was first rate. The crab and corn soup was excellent as was the halibut. The veal chop could have had more seasoning, but it was still very good. Cocktails are creative and delicious. When our server got to us (granted, it was a Saturday night and quite busy), he was very friendly and accommodating and gave helpful advice. Add to that the beautiful setting, romantic lighting, and the buzz of fellow diners clearly having a wonderful time, and the sum is a truly memorable evening.

The restaurant is beautiful whether vyou eat indoors or on the covered terrace. For breakfast, lunch or dinner there are dishes to satisfy all palates. Many are simple, like the tagliatelle Bolognese but perfectly prepared and just the right portion size. Others are more complex and innovative using interesting ingredients. A diner never feels rushed and service is first rate.

a very relaxing aesthetic, like the hotel. Service is very gracious, food is good. The pastry basked is worth the trip and it is included along with 3 house made fruit spreads. I greatly recommend the ricotta blintzes and the salmon benedict. Doing it on brioche versus muffins is a very nice touch

My husband and I had many meals from the restaurant because we were at the Bel Air Hotel for a week. They give big portions so many people take food home. The food is modern California cuisine. The restaurant is set in a garden but you can also eat indoors. It is expensive but worth it because it is very nice for a special occasion.

As always a pleasure to be here ....delightful food ....what you expect you always get in hotel Bel Air ....will be back as always ! ✨my favorite!

Disappointed in this version of Wolfgang Puck. . .so many reasons. We ordered a glass of wine and drink. . wine came immediately. .over 10 minutes for the drink and no apology -- just like it was normal to serve one and wait 10 minutes for the other. Chicken Pot Pie was more crust. .albeit attractive. . than ingredients. Friend had the wiener schnitzel, which she had liked at other of his eateries. .This time it had been cooked too long and was tough. Apple pie and ice cream was good but certainly nothing like I would have expected from the touch of Puck. Overall feeling was trendiness and being seen was more important than the food. . I like Puck food but would pass on this one the next time.. .You can spread yourself too thin
Classics done with flair
Excellent renditions of classic dishes that satisfy in a very pleasant breezy setting. Profess all service adds to the experience. A tad too expensive but overall you should leave feeling refreshed and well fed
