Great restaurant. The food was amazing especially the lobster fazoletti! We had excellent service too. A young man by the name of Orlando was our sever and he made us feel special. Very friendly and made sure we had all we needed. Will definitely be going back and recommending this restaurant to others.

Love the vibe of this place! Loved the chairs as well. The music was just a hit too loud for our taste, but oh well! We sat at a table in the bar area, which is where I would want to sit again. The patio looked inviting though. Speaking of the bar area…Kaleb was our waiter and he worked the bar as well. He was excellent. Knowing that they were opened only for a month and had some more learning to do, we offered constructive criticism, which he gladly accepted. We appreciated his honesty and willingness to learn. He is really nice and always had a smile on his face. He is definitely a gem for this restaurant. The two mangers we spoke with (I’m sorry I forgot to get their names) were very gracious and willing to please. All the employees seemed very gracious as well. The food…. Ohhhh the food!!!! So, being Christmas Eve, they had a menu for the Feast of the Seven Fishes, which could be ordered a la cart. We started with the stuffed zucchini blossoms. We definitely recommend them… delish! We split the Flora’s salad … also delish!! I ordered the mussels (off the Seven Fishes menu with a side of house made pasta. Really tasty but beware….super peppery hot!!!! Wish they had warned me. The side of pasta I ordered cut down the spice a bit. But I’ll tell ya…. my sinuses were clearer than ever! My husband had the Butcher pizza. Great crust, right amount of cheese …he loved it. We brought home a sampling of their desserts. We were so excited to see that they had sfogliatelles!!! But they described them having a sweet creamy filling in them which are not what we were used to but to our surprise they didn't have a “creamy filling ” as described…. They were authentic custard like!!!! You are missing something if you don’t try these (but more for us if you pass on them!) all the Italian cookies were authentic and delicious. We had to pass on the gelato because we were full but we may have to drop in sometime soon for some. Plus, there’s so many more dishes I want to try.
Great salad, neat atmosphere but that was it
First experience at Sicilian Butcher in SA and I probably will not go back. We went at lunch and had to ask for the lunch menu after the people next to us told us about it. We ended up ordering off the lunch menu which consisted of three courses, a salad, entree and dessert. I had the tomato salad which was definitely the best thing I ate and could have been the whole meal as it was very large. Then I had the meatball sandwich which was what they are known for....not in my opinion! It was bland, barely any sauce and the bread it was on was like a very large hamburger bun with no taste. Dessert was a cannoli which was delicious, but the size of a mini dessert. My friend had the chopped salad which was good, chicken parm sandwich which she did not like either, no the best bread (same as mine) and hardly any sauce. Her dessert was lemon gelato and this was very good and a good portion. Needless to say we were not impressed and at $27 per lunch, neither of us would go back.
