Great place, clean, best customer service, great price

By katherinejimenez19 |

Came here for a birthday celebration. Everyone was very attentive. Carlos was are server. Very attentive!! As a matter of fact, the whole staff. The place is clean. The meat taste great and fresh. Not what you would expect from a buffet. All you can eat fresh meat. Would definitely come again!!!

A SERIOUS bargain for the meat lover

By jan_klincewicz |

Certainly not as elegant as Fogo or Chima (by a long shot) and at $16 (10 for just the ample buffet) the rodizio experience is, IMO, better. As to value, there is no contest. Meat was far more flavorful (thanks to charcoal and not gas) and tender. The silly red/green puck schtick is replaced by an attentive chef/server who recognizes when your table stops chewing and brings another sword of delightful meat. He also knows how you like your meat after the first serving, so you are not constantly educating a "gaucho" that you like a little crispy crust, and the rest blood rare. Picanha and rib eye are the winners, but chicken, pork ribs and the (not too garlicky) linguica sausage are also delightful. Staff is charming and friendly, and you NEVER feel like you are being ignored, or "having your pace slowed down" because you are eating like a starved glutton. You pretty much have to force the issue that you cannot eat another bite. Many of the locals were just there for the buffet at lunch, and if it were not for the temptation of the meats, it would be a great bargain in itself. The buffet is constantly replenished, and the contents are authentic, fresh and flavorful. The place, while spartan, is VERY clean. I consider it a notch above the nearby Picanha grill in many respects. We will absolutely return as often as my cholesterol level will allow.

Better than Expected

My husband, cousin and his wife went here yesterday to celebrate my birthday and my cousin's birthday. My cousin had a Groupon for $74 for the four of us. As we drove up it looked disappointing to see the outside here. Were we pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked in we were welcomed with a genuine smile. Their salad bar was immense with tons of choices to pick from. Whatever I chose I thoroughly enjoyed. Foods were fresh and constantly replenished. What I loved was the garlic sirloin and garlic chicken. The sausage also was tasty. These were the only choices I picked. All the others liked everything else that was offered. Our waiter was friendly and made sure if we needed anything else. All four of us were shocked that our dinner included desserts and beverages. What a bargain for all four of us for only $74.00. Definitely we will be back.

Bad location, run down building , Good food !

By FamilyTime23 |

Lets start by saying the location is in a run down strip mall.....not the best section of town....parking in the rear ( At your own risk this is Philly ) .The inside is very worn out.... major roof leaks.... old furniture. On a Friday night 6pm only 3 tables filled. Our waitress was OK....told us to go to buffet , than other meats will served. Missing simple things like napkins..glass of ice water...salt / pepper. So the buffet presentation was great....seemed really clean but some of the food was dried out. When the meats start to arrive 1st dried out chicken... then sausage....than dried out beef cube of something. Now the better meats showed up....3 beefs , 2 ribs ,grilled pineapple all were wonderful. Desserts were also great ! Bottom line the chef should find a better location to work

Fantastic Food

This place has great food. Fresh and flavorful. I'm not sure how they can do it for the price. We went there to celebrate a birthday. No regrets at all. Much better than Rodizio at a fraction of the price. Only thing lacking was it was located in an older shopping strip. It was clean and the food was fresh just older looking. Don't let that slow you down if you are ready for some great tasting meat and Brazilian dishes.

Poor Service

By Luis G |

I bought a Groupon for my husband for Valentines... 1. I made a reservation about 4 days ago! We got there and there were no table, so we were put at the end next to bathroom. 2. Part of the food was food! 3. I asked for dessert, was told that I needed to speak with the front guy, I did that and he stated he was going to send the dessert with waiter! Waiter 10-15 min... no dessert! We left as waiters kept passing by and asking what we were waiting for. There is very little to none organization! Customer service skills....left a lot to be desired!

A veritable festival of meat

Love going to Casa. Olivia looked after us extremely well. Great staff,.lovely atmosphere and the food, as always, fantastic. Make sure you fast for the day before going and the enjoy the meat-parade! Save some room for the pineapple at the end.

A neighborhood gem

By Daniel S |

Lots of great food served Brazilian steakhouse style. This is a less expensive alternative to the fancy Center City Brazilian barbecue restaurants such as Fogo de Chao and Chima. While it's a lot more diner than upscale, the food taste is perhaps a touch better since the meats are grilled over coal rather than gas. This place is well worth a visit for your meat fix.

Small Local Place, worth the price

By Patrick J |

There are other Brazilian restaurants in town, that charge 3 times the price, with little more than ambience. The meat here is good, with several authentic items that you cant get at other similar restaurants. If you want to know what it is like to truly eat in Brazil, this is the place, but be willing to try some new things, because this is far more authentic than fogo de chao.

Nice place to eat

Food was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. Expected the ambiance to be a little more upscale based on my experiences with other Brazilian restaurants of this type. But to be fair we didn’t research the place before going. Would Visit again.

Celebration

By judedude79 |

This restaurant is on Groupon as Taste of Brazil. In any case, a Groupon for 2 with rodozio , 2 beverages abd 2 desserts for $37 is an amazing bargain. It is in a strip mall so not those high priced Brazilian steakhouse for sure, but we enjoyed every bite. Eveything on the buffet was delicious and the meat was so flavorful. The wait staff were personable and charming. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and that our sons had each just gotten engaged and happily toasting each other with our byob wine. It was half full when we arrived at 6 and packed when we left. Reservations required when using Groupon btw. We will return!

Food and Service Were Great!

Yes, this restaurant is in a strip mall, but the food was really good and the service was really good. Everyone that worked there was really friendly and attentive. We totally enjoyed ourselves. The meats were all really tasty and there was a great variety of other food on the buffet. I would go back again for the Tres Leches cake alone!

Sub par to other Brazilian Steakhouses

By Mary Ellen S |

Yes this little restaurant is in a strip mall... and it's small and friendly. But the food was not great. Salad and sides bar was unappetizing except the fried plantains and green beans. The steak was salty and tough. Chicken was OK. Sausage chewy. Limited choices. Guess we have been pampered at higher end Brazilian Steakhouses with grilled pineapple and more tender selections. Thank goodness it was on a Groupon.

Not one of the big chain Brazilian Steakhouses, but very good.

Went for dinner and was greeted by a friendly waitress who sat us and explained how everything works (although we've been to many other Brazilian restaurants). We started with the "salad" bar (and has both cold and hot items). The food bar was clean and all items were fresh. Our Gaucho, asked how we liked our meats cooked and was very attentive and made sure we had what we wanted. The meats were carved/served tableside and all were properly cooked to mine (medium) and my wife's (medium well) liking. My negative comments are that the meats came out quickly (we were still eating our salads) and that this restaurant did not have a Serve/No Serve stick/item (as others do), so we had to tell the Gaucho, to hold off at times. But he was very willing to pass until more food came out. We'll be going back.

Great food and wonderful service!

Went here after a trip to the flower show. Currently on keto, so we needed a low carb opinion. Perfect choice! The food and service were great and the place was immaculately clean. Definitely will go back when in the area.

Excellent food!

Now called Taste of Brazil Delicious Food Friendly Staff!

By LinnyR |

We have a very good experience here. The name is now Taste of Brazil but it's the same location. I tried some of the food from the Salad Bar - plantains, black beans, beets - all very good. The servers come to the table with a variety of meat and chicken. Every bit of it was delicious. The staff was so friendly. We had flan for dessert - also very good. The place is BYOB which we love! We brought along a bottle of Malbec which went well with our dinner. I would give the place 5 stars but it was cold inside- I am usually warm so for me to be chilly it must have been cold. Also there is not much in the way of atmosphere here BUT we that won't prevent us from going back. Food was terrific and the price was very good. They accept credit cards, I believe open every day until 10 pm. Awesome experience!

Good taste in food

By Santanasxy |

I had bought a ticket for 2 on Groupon just because. When I got to the restaurant it didn't look inviting. So I went somewhere else.but then on a Sunday afternoon I went back. I have to say I Love , love the good taste of food. The environment and good service. It was so worth it and yes I will be going back again

Not fancy, but good

By Brian D |

I already went to other Brazilian places to eat before like Fogo De Chao and Nabrasa so I already had an idea of what kind of food I would be eating. So me and my wife decided to give this place a try. When we first saw the place we were not impressed with the decor. It looks like just a run down place to be honest, but the food was good. The workers were friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and hot. Definitely worth the bargain if you want a cheaper version of the fancy Brazilian places to eat. We would go back again for sure. We paid for the both of us for the salad bar and meat buffet with two drinks (bottled water and a coke) $40.00 with the tip included. Not a bad price and we left stuffed.

Good value in Brazilian food

By Nick C |

This restaurant is now part of the Taste of Brazil group of restaurants. Our Groupon provided meal was quite adequate, especially when compared to what a radizion costs on Center City. We enjoyed the large variety of meats and sausages brought table side and there were other meat dishes we liked in the somewhat sparse salad bar.
