Service was super. Jaclyn took good care of us. Food was delicious and high quality. Happy Hours was definitely worth it and the Heathman library has a fabulous vibe!

Angelica provided awesome service and cocktails at the bar! We’ve been staying at Heathman for 20 years and continues to be a favorite.

Jackie was great. Engaged on the description of the menu, but allowed us a romantic time. Drinks were awesome and ambiance was very nice.

The bar at The Tavern is a great place to hang out and chat with other folks or just read a book. I have been there several times and enjoyed myself. Angelica is a lovely bartender who is always so friendly. She let made me a key lime pie drink that she came up with that was delicious! Great atmosphere in a classic tavern with could company, food and drinks.

I am in town visiting family and someone mentioned to check out the Tavern. I wasn’t going for much. Just a drink and something to distract me from my family. I had an aperol spritz and was greeted by Angelica. She was very attentive and easy to talk to. Next time I’m back in town I’ll have to come back and try the food

Small but diverse breakfast menu. The tavern omelette was excellently as well as the bacon potatoes and egg. Friendly and professional service.

Our bartender, Jackie B., was knowledgeable and friendly, our snacks were delicious, and I loved being able to talk with my friends. Wine selection was eclectic and good.

My boyfriend and I did a date night here, and it was nice. We hit their happy hours for some decent food. The wait time was very short because I made a reservation for dinner. The atmosphere was very loud. It became very crowded very fast, but I did not realize that this place was so popular. Since there was a lot going on this Thanksgiving weekend. This place is a bit spendy, so even with the Happy hour prices, just be aware. Overall, a very solid place for a date.

Jackie is a gem! The Heathman is so lucky to have her behind the bar. Find more like her! So nice, patient and knowledgeable. A very pleasant experience.

While the food was noteworthy, Sam made our experience. Sam reminded us of the difference a server and a smiles makes. You won’t be disappointed!

I recently had friends in town for the weekend and they wanted to see the city. We had dinner and then stopped by the Heathman for a late night drink. We were greeted with a very professional and friendly bartender named Angelica. She asked how are night was doing, and suggested amazing drinks from the menu. The service was top notch, and it was a wonderful way to end a great night. Thanks again Angelica and the Heathman for the memories. We shall return! Our best, thank you!

Jackie was an amazing server. Friendly, knew her drinks, and recommended the perfect late night food. The mac and cheese was stellar.

A great place to stop before the symphony. Jackie B. was great! The food was good as were the drinks. We had the salmon dip, carrot tartare and some wine and cider.

Friendly, great service. My steak frites were a bit tough but my waiter told the chef. I asked him to let the chef know it wasn’t due to poor preparation. I told him I did not want another entree but the waited said chef wanted to comp a desert. I always appreciate good service! I will be back.

The Tavern serves as a nice choice for a pre-show meal. The food is good and reasonably priced. And the service we received with Jaclyn was exceptional. We will be back!

Great spot for a drink. The bar has a nice bottle selection and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great smash burger, and the duck confit is one of the best in Portland. Angelica took great care of us at the bar.l, and made it a memorable experience.

We always stay at the Heathman and so happy they reopened the restaurant and bar. Service is great, be certain to look for Angelica Castillo. She is professional, fun, always quick to listen.

My friend and I came here after we found out our tickets to the show next door were invalid. Feeling fairly disappointed, we were happy to meet Angelica who was so friendly and kind to us and actually seemed sorry for us that we missed our show. We had some great drinks and a few laughs and felt much better about the situation. I was really impressed with the personal touch here and could happily spend all night at the bar. She really turned our evening around. Thank you!

We came in for drinks after the symphony and Angelica took care of it. The drinks were great and qe had a friendly conversation.

It’s wonderful to have a place adjacent to the theater for an easy and quick pre-performance meal. It’s busy of course. A couple of suggestions: 1) order your burger medium well if you don’t want it extremely rare. And 2) loose-leafed pots of Smith tea are very tasty but also get very strong— I suggest the restaurant either remove the strainer before serving or also deliver a pot of hot water.

Loved the atmosphere. It was very quiet. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so she completely broke down the menu and an amazing drink pairing. Very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I will definitely be returning

Angelica was my bar tender and server. She was incredibly attentive and also made an amazing surprise drink for me which was a Moscow mule with cranberry and blackberry, one of the best drinks I’ve had. She is a genuine soul who cares about her people. I feel so so happy to have come down and go to the bar for amazing food and talk.
