It worth every minute waiting!

By Adriana L |

It worth the line that is always at the door. A tiny restaurant with excelent food, not expensive and the staff is 5 stars!

Solid basic Thai

By JPatti1 |

Four of us ordered pick-up during the COVID pandemic and were pleased with both the prompt and easy service and the quality of the food. While we did not eat at the restaurant due to the pandemic, I did pick up the food there and would note that it is a very basic narrow storefront with the kitchen right at the front window - sort of the typical family-run Asian restaurant that turns out solid but not spectacular food. Considering its location, it is perhaps attuned to the workday crowd more than fine diners. Again, good solid if unspectacular choice.

Simply the best Thai Curries in SF!

By Kevin1969 |

Arguably the best Thai curries in San Francisco! So good, we went back to try the Thai Red Curry having tasted the amazing Green Curry earlier in our trip. Everything about this place is gorgeous. The food, the staff, the ambiance. And the fact that it is so busy with eat-in diners and takeaway custom, is testament to it's fantastic food!

Staff is friendly and attentive. Food tastes and looks good. The portions are filling and satisfying. What more can you ask for. I’ll be back.

Cozy but lovely tent!

By Floortje O |

A cozy but lovely tent that doesn't really stand out among all the buildings! Highly recommended. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and we were seated quickly. There is actually a line all the time and a lot of food is ordered as the delivery people are constantly coming in to pick up orders. Wide choice of different dishes and even vegetarians can enjoy a delicious meal here. Portions are large and we couldn't finish it

Great Thai food.

By Martine T |

We had a takeaway from this lovely Thai restaurant. We were very impressed with the Green Curry and Pad Thai. Generous servings and great taste.

Very good Thai

By ruthandvern |

We stopped in for dinner in October, the indoor seating was limited and all procedures in place. I had the shrimp pad Thai and Vern had duck Raad Na. Very good.

Great food. Wait if you have to.

By Anne A |

Great food, very fresh and not overly sweet as sometimes the case in the US. Small inside so you may have to wait for a table but it is worth the wait. Noodle soup was great as was duck curry. We went back 2 nights in a row. Staff friendly.

Good Thai near Union Square

By CentralCATraveler |

Had dinner here on a Friday evening. Got there at 5:15 and there were tables available, but by 5:30 there was a wait. Only seating for 24 people in the whole restaurant. I had the green curry which was good. My husband had the duck which was very good. Also had the Moo Ping pork appetizer. About a block from Union Square. Reasonable prices and service.

Thailand in San Francisco

Very good Thai restaurant in San Francisco. The restaurant does not take Reservation and you must mark yourself on the waiting list. Very good pad thai. Recommended!

Do Not Miss Out

Good things come in small packages!

By Rio O |

Having just eaten here, I was shocked to see this restaurant only had 3 reviews...it was great! It really doesn't look much from the front, blink and you'll miss it... actually I did, thankfulky my boyfriend spotted it. Its right next to our hotel and we went in on a whim after a long day walking round the city and having no desire to walk much further. We timed it just right as got the last available table and there was a constant queue waiting to either be seated or get takeaway the whole time we were there. The service was fast, polite and cheerful and the food was delicious! Hot, good portions, full of flavour and so reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Tiny place. Great experience!

By just_da_fax |

Tiny place. Great experience! Service was quick and attentive. Food was fantastic! Had bbq pork fried rice, pork with string beans, and cashew with chicken. Flavors were delicious. By the time we left at 5:45pm on a Friday, there was a line of people waiting outside.

Great Dinner for between the two parts of HP!

By Lisaannie1997 |

We were in SF for HP and the Cursed Child, and this was our choice for dinner between the two play parts. Excellent Thai, great service, and we were out in plenty of time to make the second curtain!

Waited..But Good Food

By James B |

This restaurant was only a block away from our hotel, JW Marriott. It is rather small inside so you have to place your name on a waitlist. We waited 30 minutes along with several others outside. But once we got inside, the service was nice and the food was tantalizing. The portions were sufficient and the food came out very fast.

Best hidden gem in San Francisco

By John R |

3 nights in San Francisco and two of them were spent here as we had to come back! Really good selection of Thai dishes. We had 4 different dishes between us and all excellent. Plus with exceptional service and good value, what's not to like!

Great tiny Thai restaurant

By pjm55 |

We enjoyed a delicious, inexpensive Thai dinner (Pad Thai, Pad See Yeuw) in this tiny restaurant (6 tables?) Service was friendly and food was delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat if we lived in San Francisco.

Very tasty Thai

By Dante55 |

Excellent and modestly priced. Great fried rice, hot and sour soup, and shrimp rolls. Beer could have been colder but overall a wonderful dinner.

Delicious lunch!

By Sharon S |

Lunch here was delicious. We had the pad see ew and the yellow curry. Service was fast and friendly. Small place but worth the short wait!!

Hole in the wall.

By lezli246 |

This place is a no frills no fuss small restaurant serving excellent food. When we first got there we didn’t think there was room and almost left. Glad we didn’t. Such lovely food, friendly staff and value for money. Don’t be put off by the frontage. If you do you’ll miss some wonderful food.

Highly recommend

Superb!

By hmltnangel |

Absolutely superb tiny little Thai place, just a minute or two from Union Square. Great prices, great food, pleasant staff. All you could ask for. Very busy on a Monday evening. Green Thai curry, sharing platter were brilliant. Loved it.

Top Thai

Delicious food. You may have to queue outside for a while, but it's definitely worth it! Fast service, deliciously fresh.

Good food, open late

By RoamingTheGlobe |

We appreciated that this place was open late, as our flight was delayed and it was probably 10 pm when we got here. It is tiny, but there was a table available, and we liked knowing that everyone inside was vaccinated. QR code menu at the table, but order from the waitstaff. Very friendly staff, and yummy food with vegan options that hit the spot after a long travel day.

Thai Riffic

By Len J |

Sorry for the dad joke in the review title, but the food, service and pricing were all first rate at this wonderful little restaurant

Great little Thai restaurant

By ScorpioNorm |

So small but wonderful food, reasonably priced. Great service. Nice Singha beer. The staff work so hard and are so organised. Lots of takeaways and not many tables but we managed to get in twice without waiting. Everything so fresh and tasty.

Great little hole in the wall

By IMIUBU2 |

This little Thai place was very good and we are big into Thai. Excellent lamb, fried pumpkin, and eggplant dishes. Oscar our server was very attentive. Loved our dinner at this little and I do mean little gem.

Excellence Simplified

By S T |

Don't let the looks of this small, family run place fool you. Service and food are fast and efficient (and without rushing you!), served with smiles and simply the best Thai food I have ever had in SF over my many years of visiting. And it ranks near top in my experience eating Thai food elsewhere stateside. Cannot believe this was a new discovery for me. Looking forward to visiting The ThongLor again on future visits to The City.

Great little spot

By klpopp |

Although the place is tiny, we were able to get a table. The service was friendly and prompt, the food came out of the kitchen quickly and it was tasty. Very convenient to a number of local hotels and a lot less expensive. We will return.

Highly recommended to visit this business

By A V |

It's a small matter. Sometimes you have to wait a while but it is definitely worth it. The dishes are prepared quickly and well. The taste is particularly good.

Good food, fast service

By cdematt |

We tried our go-to Thai dishes when we go to a new place: Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao. PKM had good flavor and a nice spicy kick and the PT was classic. We’d definitely come back! The inside of the restaurant is a bit small and there was a ceiling leak that had a bucket under it, so the environment wasn’t as nice as some of the photos - but that wouldn’t stop us from coming back. Yummy.

Great little Thai restaurant in the theatre district

By Annette W |

You can easily walk past this little restaurant that literally has about 8 tables. You have to just turn up and wait (which we didn’t have to for long) and then you squeeze into a table at the back. We had the appetiser combo and then a selection of main dishes. All were cooked fresh and were great and large portions (well, we are in the US after all!). It was very busy for takeouts too so it’s a popular Thai option in the area for locals as well as tourists. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Very good food

By sicilianprincess1 |

If you’re going here for a great atmosphere, this is not for you. However, if you’re going for excellent food and authentic Thai food, then this is your place. We eat a lot of Thai food and this place is one of the best I’ve ever been to. it’s very small and very tight seating, but you won’t be disappointed in the food.

some of the best thai food i've ever had

By hem0008 |

saved us for a late night dinner as a lot of places were closed but this place was open until 10 or 11 i think. there are a few tables for dine in. service was great and food was amazing. we had crab fried rice and pad thai. plenty of food, we took home leftovers. wish i lived in SF so i could come here often.

Great Thai Food 👍

By KiwiFlashpackers |

It is a very small restaurant and the first night we decided not to wait in line as it was a 45minute wait. The following night we got there at 6.30pm and got a table straightaway. The food was really good and nice and fresh. Would recommend the Penang Curry and Roti pancakes and stick rice

Server is rude and condescending!

By Chelsea B |

HORRIBLE customer service! I came in to grab takeout today. I walked in and the served was right next to me and completely ignored me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt just in case she was serving another customer. I saw my name and order on the counter OUT IN THE OPEN and went to grab it and she yelled all me. It was as if she was waiting for the opportunity to snap at me because she ignored me until I went to look for my order. It was extremely rude and all of the other customers looked because she yelled so loud at me. I was so embarrassed. That is no way to talk to people like that and it was extremely condescending. I could understand why she would want to check to see if it was my order but she should have not yelled me and at least used her manners.

Nothing special but ok

By T.A. |

Okay food that however lacks creativity and spirit, is more filling than actually full of taste. Overstrained staff unfortunately.
