Good spot for interesting, different cocktails and a distinctive menu. Most people order a variety of small bites here but I was hungry and the burger was really good! You can’t go wrong with any of the small bites.

All four of us were delighted with the food, service and cocktails. The extremely delicious pork dumplings, creative avocado toast, scrumptious burger and crunchy, juicy fried chicken. Our drunks ranged from mango lassi to mezcal cocktail to a mojito-like refresher and the jalapeno-spiced, sunset-colored Tropic Like It's Hot. We've lived in Houston for years and this place was a real discovery. Still emerging from the pandemic, we love patio dining, and Coconut is perfect with great seating and a rain-protective palapa roof. Lovely landscaping and even a sandy beach spot.

The Coconut has a pleasant, compact food menu. The staff is very helpful with good explanations of the offerings. Their cocktails are the main draw, with lots of fruit based offerings.

Best fried chicken I've ever had. Uniquely Flavorful and crispy. Bartender Rob remembered not only my cocktail preference but what food I'd ordered after only being there once! cool, goovy, and great music off the turntable!

First time here, but will not be the last. We dined outside under the palapa roofed patio. The service from everyone we met was friendly. Nice option for beer and wine. Their specialty cocktails are very good. I had the painkilla 4.5/5. All the food flavors are great, but in our opinion a few flaws. We ordered pork dumplings 4.5/5 (a little doughy), OG fried chicken 4.5/5 (a bit over fried), and the cubano 5/5.

Dined at the Toasted Coconut last Friday evening. The restaurant was easy to find but we found it difficult to park immediately near or around the restaurant. We had to park across the street in an empty parking lot designed for clients of the Toasted Coconut. This parking lot was full of pot holes and not well kept. After entering the restaurant and being seated, we ordered one appetizer (Spiced Fries) and two Aguafrescas (non-alcoholic). We asked the waitress (Montserrat) to bring the two Aguafrescas without ice, just the drinks. We received each drink just slightly over half full in each glass. I asked the waitress why the glasses were not filled to the top and she stated that if the ice had been included, the drinks would have been full in each glass. I have never heard of anything more ridiculous. As it was, even after adding the ice (which she brought in a separate glass), the drinks did not get near to the top. We paid $6 for each Aguafresca and felt that we hardly got any beverage. Again, these were non-alcoholic drinks. Aside from the drinks, we ordered two Crispy Chicken sandwiches and a Lamb Bread. The food was good but none of the entrees came with any accompaniments such as chips. Not a big deal but feel we paid a lot for the little we received. The waitress too was unresponsive when I asked her to inform the manager about our dissatisfaction with the drinks. Overall, we were not overly impressed with the food and service at this restaurant.

limited parking. indoor + outdoor seating. 30 min wait for inside seating around 8 on a Friday night. nice + friendly wait staff. pet friendly patio - saw about 4-5 dogs outside. delicious mezcal “vamos a la playa”. quiote speakeasy located inside - ask for availability at host stand.

But best of all the food. Excellent Pork Dumplings, Lamb Flatbread, Honey Butter Biscuit, and Toco Fried Rice, Yummy! Then top it off with Great music and Atmosphere!
