We ordered three different kind of waffle and they were good. We enjoyed our food. And both my daughters they liked waffles too.

Fun place with great food. 1970's style diner with waffles and more. Everything is in the large side so beware. Breakfast and lunch served all day.

Went to the Waffle for Sunday brunch since it was around the corner from the hotel and got good reviews. The reviews were right, the double wide breakfast sandwich and breakfast pot pie were amazing and the $6 double mimosas were delicious (meaning not too much orange juice and decent sparkling wine or prosecco. Will definitely visit again next time I am in LA.

This place looks so good in the photos that are posted online, but I was very disappointed when I actually ate there. The service is just not good at all. We were seated fairly quickly but it all went down hill from there. I had a blueberry/lemon waffle (which was quite tasty), but the eggs, hash browns and bacon that came with it were not. The eggs and hashbrowns were cold, and the bacon was undercooked. We were ignored the entire time we ate and were never offered more coffee, water, etc. I believe they are probably understaffed. I was not impressed at all and will go elsewhere the next time I am in Los Angeles.

This was a great old style breakfast joint right on Sunset Blvd. Next to where the Walk of Fame starts, it's the perfect place to part and walk to see the stars. The waitresses were busy and it was hard to get their attention sometimes. The waffles made up for it. If you're like me, and you can't choose because of the amazing selection, get 1/2 waffles. I was concerned about getting the Baked in Pecan Crunch waffle, since I loathe waffles that are so drenched in sugar they hurt your teeth (cough, IHOP, cough). They did a great job of making them tasty and unique, but leaving enough waffle to balance the toppings. They also serve bottomless cocktails for $12 if you want to jump start the day in that style. Great seating right outside on the Blvd.

Really good spot for breakfast. We both got the breakfast burrito and it was really good. The lunch menu sounded good too. Definitely pop in for breakfast

While the venue is lovely, the food is just not good. I ordered the corned beef hashbrowns. The meat was tough and the hashbrowns were so tasteless, ketchup, hot sauce, and salt could not save them. Service was lacking. Not a fan.

Everyone here is really friendly and the portions are rather large. Would recommend their cobb salad, just be prepared that it is massive and could easily be split for two. Their drinks are really good and the atmosphere is nice and bright. Would definitely recommend for lunch, although I hear their brunch is very good too. Like I said, a little bit pricey, but you are getting rather large amounts.

There are a lot of good things about this place. It is very very cute, we didn't wait at all to be seated and service was super friendly and quick. (Oh and their lemonade is so good!) But, you have to be careful on what you order. Waffles are huge, which is good if you have a large appetite, but I don't. So it was way too much for me. I learned way too late that i could've gotten only half of a waffle for a discounted price. I had the chocolate one and it was so bittersweet. It didn't taste like milk chocolate (or at least sweet) but straight up like 90% cacao. My boyfriend got the chocolate chip one and it was very good. But I was left dissapointed with mine.

Made a mistake and DIDN'T order a waffle. The chicken tenders tasted like they had been fried in oil that was a month old. Not good at all. And I'm all for crispy, but the fries were so hard they were more like chips. Odd. My friend had the Chicken Pot Pie and she said it was average and didn't finish it. MIGHT try it again for a waffle, but not in love with the choice.

Stopped in for a late breakfast with the family while on vacation. It was about 11:15 am, so the place wasn't too busy. Was seated fairly quickly and left after 25 minutes. The host sat us down with menus, and then nothing. No offer of water, coffee, or anyone to take our order. It would seem that having three waitresses chit-chatting and filling sugar containers is more important than serving waiting customers. Terrible service ...........................

Excellent glutten free options, especially the waffles. Can have eggs and bacon, fruit salad and of course waffle. Soy coffee also available.

We had the pleasure of eating at Waffel twice while in LA. The food was incredibly delicious! We got, among other things, tried their french toast, buffalo chicken hashbrowns and of course their waffles. The waffle with lemon curd and blueberries can be strongly recommended. The level of service was incredibly high. Will definitely come back!

Nothing short of amazing. I got the sweet flight of mini waffles. Putting maple syrup (which I love dearly) on any of them would have been superfluous -- everything was self-contained with flavor.

Walked from our Bnbair rental and sat outside on Sunset for breakfast, the best part. Coffee bitter, waffles good, $2 for 2 ounces of maple syrup. Home fries were just awful, soggy, and did not like the flavor. Waiter was Daniel and very friendly and did a good job. I would not eat here again, sorry.

Five of us had breakfast. We ordered five different dishes. Two were world class. The other three could rate best in the US. And it was breakfast. Amazing. Plan your first visit when LA. And plan a return visit. The banana mousse! Tres Leches!! Attentive service!!! Everything was perfect. They do add 12% to your bill to provide the staff healthcare. Just an FYI. The staff exudes quality. ENJOY…then post your review. This is well worth enduring LA traffic to treat yourself.

Usually this place is my favorite place to eat, but today, I had a blonde waitress who was extremely rude & put me in a bad mood with her attitude. Extremely blunt, didn't say goodbye, rudely slammed down my check with the cash (not even the correct amount) & digged at me how England and America are different with service charge. Just a extremely rude waitress, I'll refuse to eat there again if I have her serving me. Brings the place down.

Waffles were very good and service was excellent. Waited for a few minutes to be seated but once we ordered the food was delivered in a very timely manner. Would visit again.

This is a great place for breakfast. The variety of waffles and savory dishes is great, it really has something for everyone. We tried the Waffle breakfast that includes two eggs, fruit, potatoes or hash and ham or bacon or sausage and toast or pancakes i believe. For $1.50 you can upgrade to one of their house waffles. I had the blueberry waffle with blueberry compote and lemon curd, kids had tres leches waffles and my husband had the savory cornmeal waffle with friend chicken and greens. Everything was delicious! I will definitely go back and try their lunch items!

2 eggs, 1/2 waffles, bacon and a bowl of fruit for ~$13. Tasted great, and great service. Would go again!

Came back there after a nice experience a month ago. Unfortunately on Sunday June 12 the manager in place was the worst I have ever seen. Pushing is trolley like Spicer in SNL, he ignored all waiting clients, was rude and doing nothing. After 20 Minutes of not been seated when many tables were available and no rush was going on, we left. That manager should be out of business or the restaurant will...

Went here for our first breakfast in LA and were not disappointed. We had the sticky bun waffle (seriously good) and the pancake breakfast (best bacon ever). Just off of the walk of fame.

Bit of a get them in and out fast place. Food was good but nothing outstanding. Service fast but servers have one mission. To turn tables over. Plenty of other breakfast places so no return visit for us.

its 2 AM and this place is still fully alive and full of energy. They serve some great options to choose from for waffles, its bit over priced but at 2 AM its fine :D as it fulfills your craving with some tasty soothing waffles. Do check out and you will not be disappointed. Serving portions size is good enough.

A typical gringo style breakfast place. Very good attention. Very spacious place, very good food. We ordered steak and eggs and the meat was delicious.

Our first visit to The waffle was a great dining experience enjoyed by all. My Jalapeno Cornbread Waffle was outstanding, as was all the dishes we tried. The double Mimosa's were also very good for the price. Would highly recommend this restaurant if your in the Hollywood/ Sunset Blvd area and looking for a great dining experience.

The chocolate waffle's delicious. So was the blueberry lemon waffle. Pleasantly surprised by the favors, they were not overwhelming. The chocolate was incorporated into the entire waffle. However, for the blueberry and lemon waffle, the base of the waffle was plain with blueberry topping and a lemon custard/cream on top. Good, but not what I was expecting.

Ate here twice whilst in LA, both times were great. Portions are huge, so if you don't pack an American appetite you might like to share, something we did, and our meals were brought to us already split without even having to ask. Waffles were amazing, and was particularly surprised at how good the steak with the steak and eggs was! It was slightly over cooked, we ordered medium Eras and it came medium well, so perhaps factor that in if you're ordering steak. Fast and friendly service, would go back if in LA again!

The waffles were pretty average but the ambiance and staff were great. I asked the waiter how the woofles were (waffles for your dog) and he didn’t miss a beat. He just said he hadn’t tried them. It’s a little pricey and, if you’re not familiar with L.A. (that’s was the case for us) there was a 1 dollar healthy LA surcharge. I found that odd. The waffles were good and my fur buddy loved his woofle. Overall, 4 stars. Well done guys.

The waffles here are amazing!!! Great, fast service. Staff are very welcoming, there is a large variety to choose from and the prices are really good! There is a car park literally round the corner if you struggle to park on the street. There is an outside area where you can eat as well however there was a wait whereas inside we sat straight away. Definitely recommended for any time of day!

Waffles are great with lots of specialty waffles to choose from. Egg scrambles have lots of fresh ingredients to choose. Sugar-free syrup available (so that you don't feel completely guilty). Short wait compared to some other highly rated restaurants and the food is equally great. Good service!

While visiting LA we ran across this place one day and decided to have brunch here. Our party of (5) were all completely thrilled with everything about this place! Everything was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and all worked well together. Parking was simple and free and the food was so good we all kept talking about it all day long. What a great unexpected find in the heart of LA! Hope they keep doing what they are doing because we all will surly be back again. Great job!

Seriously good waffles, casual and friendly. Highly recommend the hash brown waffles. Nice staff too

Perfect small place right off of Sunset Blvd to grab breakfast before starting your day. Amazing service with food to match. Make sure you give your self enough time, the wait list is usually about 30 mins and you must write your own name down. Plenty of parking and big waiting area outside.

The Waffle has many things about it I like. 1) It is open late, I mean really late, 2:30 AM during the week and 4:30 AM Fri & Sat. That makes it a great post clob place. 2) The Mac and Cheese is made with cheddar, fontina & gruyere and is awesome! 3) Meatloaf to die for. 4) Great breakfast in a neighbor that is breakfast challenged ever since Off Vine burned. I read the complaints from others that it is expensive, but I don't see that. It seems like standard L.A. prices for breakfast. Maybe if you were expecting Waffle House (a Southern chain that makes Denney's look fancy) it is expensive, but it seems reasonable to me.

Great waffles. Light and crispy on the outside and buttery smooth in the inside. The savory waffles are great. Highly recommend the “Original Double Wides”. Excellent place for a memorable breakfast!!

Atmosphere is great, very 70s. Service was excellent. Also a bar - this place has it all! The breakfast waffle is a plain belgian waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon on top. Simple yet delicious! My husband loved the red velvet waffle with cream cheese frosting and I loved the sticky bun waffle. They offer a "Wee Waffles" where you can sample three mini waffles of different flavors. Highly recommend!

Our little group just needed a good breakfast...WOW, no problem here! A great Counter and Wait Staff. Really nice people. And the Kitchen is manned by folks who really like to do good, interesting breakfast delights. Don't be put off by the waiting line outside...it just means BREAKFAST HERE IS WICKED!

Waffles, pancakes (gluten free), and service was good. Busy shop on Sunset Blvd. Just what we needed before a busy day hiking.

I was in the Hollywood area for the week and someone recommended that I visit The Waffle. I'm really glad that I did. I ended up eating there multiple times during the week and everything I had was great. The staff was friendly and even though they were very busy at times the wait was never very long.

Choose to sit indoors or outside and enjoy a large portion of an excellent meal. The waffles are fantastic and available gluten free. The service is fast and cheerful. A great value for your money and wonderful place for breakfast or lunch.

The waffles are SO GOOD! It's so nice to be able to join in and have waffles being vegan. And they were out of this world! Light and fluffy! And the double size mimosa went down a treat too! Lovely staff!

We came here especially to taste the famous waffle and chose the strawberry cheesecake waffles. It was delightful! The waffle itself was made to perfection, the strawberries were fresh and sweet, the cheesecake scoops were delicious! The coffee was good too. I believe they have other wonderful dishes but we couldn’t handle more. You must stop by if in the area!

Aside from the strange way of ordering + getting seated, it was a real nice experience with good food and good service. Also really like the decor of the place. Recommended!

This place is fantastic to start your sunny day in LA with. Enjoy the outdoors under the canopy with freshly made waffles served with a smile. We ordered for the big sunny breakfast and chocolate waffles, the portions are really good. The overall ambience was so good, just made us enjoy our breakfast even more!

Are brunch with our teens, we all loved the food and enjoyed sitting outside. Service a bit absent at times (had to go find waiter to pay) but not a big deal. Close to the strip but quieter, parked right in front at a meter, easy!

Nice spot for breakfast. It was recommended by the taxi driver. It was not dissapointing at all. They serve great waffles. Belgian waffle with chocolate chips is super. Courteous staff. Fast service.

When you walk into this place it's very obvious what food genre they're going for. The ambience is half the fun. I loved the old school diner vibe. It was cozy and clean. First thing I noticed when we sat down was a sign noting their famous double mimosa. Of course my friend and I immediately ordered one, but it came with a warning from the waiter. He said "resist the urge to use the straw to stir that mimosa...it will explode." After taking one sip I knew what he meant. It was super bubbly champagne with just a splash of orange juice. It tasted fabulous, but the straw would have sent it into a fizz explosion! All of us ordered waffles and there were no complaints. The waffles were just the right amount of crisp, and any mix-ins were not overwhelming. Immediately after being served we ended up treating it more like Tapas than breakfast, because it was obvious we all wanted a little of everything. So that means I tasted a whole lot of waffle! 1. Their red velvet special was way better than expected. They serve the cream cheese frosting on the side so it's not overwhelming. Both our red velvet lovers were very happy! 2. Chicken and waffle. Not your average waffle, it's akin to cornbread for the waffle, the chicken was nice and crispy and the gravy was yummy! There was definitely enough gravy for all of the chicken so I was happy (and very full). 3. Bacon waffle! Simply perfect combo of the best foods in breakfast. Not too salty and the bacon didn't ruin the waffle texture. 4. Hashbrown waffles. Served with eggs, sour cream and chives, this change to hashbrowns was a very welcome flavor. Filling and tasted kind of like potato pancakes. As for the service, our waiter was quick and attentive. In addition, he added a little bit of humor to our morning. All in all no complaints here, this place deserves its hype.

Wonderful for breakfast. Great scrambled eggs. There are gluten free options like waffle, which was very pleasant! Good place to eat.

Huge menu packed with all kinds of tasty breakfast foods - prices are reasonable for portions. We sat at the counter and service was good. The double mimosa is a heck of a deal.

we had breakfast the first day we're in LA and we liked it so much that we came back also the second day ! the restaurant is so nice with its seventies style. Maybe the prices are a little bit high but portions are really huge and the food is delightful ! the staff was really nice and the second day they gave us a kid menu because normal portion was too huge. so definitively I recommend this place if you're looking for a waffle breakfast !

everything I tried on the menu was great, I loved the red velvet waffle, the veggie sausage, the country potatoes that are unique, even the orange juice :) We waited for around 10 minutes for our table and the service was good and fast, I will visit again soon !!

I'm not sure what I was expecting. Maybe I should have tried breakfast? But my tuna melt had more onions than cheese, and it was quite expensive. The service was fabulous though, always bringing more water on a steamy day.

Came here at 9AM on the morning of the Academy Awards on the way out of town, along with my 9-year-old grandson. We got an outside table on a nice day after a short wait. I ordered the red velvet waffle... it was fantastic, came with some cream cheese topping. The kid got a small order of chocolate chip waffles that came with chocolate sauce, along with a creamsicle drink which is orange soda blended with vanilla ice cream. We shared an order of hash browns topped with chili, cheese, and jalepenos. I must say that everything was great. We were not able to finish all the food, and the check came out to around $35. The service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely return to the Waffle next time i'm in Hollywood.

This place is in my building... we went during the second week it was open and they were out of burgers, soup, chicken, and biscuts. Food was good.. just hope they get the kinks worked out soon!

I'm one of those people who believes that everything is better or (or in) a waffle, and The Waffle in Los Angeles does not disappoint. You can't go wrong with the Classic Malted Belgium Waffle, but trust me when I say the Applewood Smoked Bacon Waffle was heaven on a plate. We got there right when it opened and were immediately seated, but there was a wait when we left, so I'd recommend getting there early. I live on the East Coast, but I will be returning here the next time I'm in L.A. for sure.

My daughter is gluten free and finding her options is always hard. I found the Waffle online and it was near our hotel. We ended up going every morning for a week. The non gluten free breakfast was very good too. Service was just ok.

Good food with a twist on the waffles. They also serve mimosas here!!!! Staff is super friendly. They have a patio or indoor seating. Overall good breakfast with awesome staff and not too pricey. Worth checking out.

Great breakfast AND lunch! Great portions, super staff, tons of options, loved The Waffle! We walked past this on the way to dinner in the area and decided to hit it for breakfast the next day. It was a great start to a busy schedule and we kept returning as it is just that solid.

Decent place for breakfast. Me and my wife like a lot of veggies in our meals. Selection was ok for that. Ok prices. Food was good. Easy place to bring a dog. The offer a dog woofle for the pups.

I really like this place....lots of fun waffle creations, all fresh and yummy. the outside patio is great. if you like waffles, this is the place!

This is a nice place to go for breakfast that's not a chain. Loved the food I had and the waffles are big so I recommend a half one. All the breakfast you need a one place. Plus they serve lunch and dinner and have a bar.

I'm hoping we hit an off day on the first week...but the waffles were burnt, the food stock low (no jalepenos!), and the space cold. Fingers crossed it gets better with age.

We were in the Los Angeles area Oct 2-4 , and decided to try nothing but resturants we had never eaten at before. Wife saw The Waffle in a magazine at our hotel so we thought we would give it a try. Intereior while trying to get that retro look , just looked old. However our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We had the french toast which was very good , bacon crisp and also had hash browns covered with corned beef , which in my opinion was overpriced for the portion served. Price wise even for LA prices were alittle on the high side. With as many resturants in the area I'd would skip this one.

I've seen The Waffle on the Food Network, and a colleague told me it was worth the 2 hour wait she had last year so I had to try it! We went on a Tuesday morning and there was NO wait, so definitely shoot for a weekday. Everything was deliciois (including my husband's pancakes...yes...he ordered pancakes at THE WAFFLE!). This is a must visit location next time you're in LA. And DON'T forget the double size mimosa ;-)

We made a friend and they have the best waffles. We love the waffles and drinks very cold and refreshing!

An amazing find for breakfast and first class service from our server, Steve. The Waffles are the best. Highly recommended.

ok, seriously - they need to put a waffle sampler plate on the menu because i couldn't make up my mind... it was between the red velvet waffle and the sticky bun waffle. sticky bun won. breakfast was delish, service was friendly and attentive. will definitely return for more!

We enjoyed a fabulous brunch in this cafe located in Hollywood. We decided to check it out after reading great reviews about it. We didn't make reservations (not sure if they take them actually...), but that was okay. Even though the wait was about 30 minutes, all of us waiting for a table could enjoy the sun in their nice outside patio. And oh, before I end this review: the food was out of this world!

My friend and I tried this place out before catching a movie at the Arclight. Its location is perfect walking distance, not too close but not too far. The servers were friendly and accommodating. The portions of the food could have been larger, it felt more like an appetizer rather than a meal. It was enjoyable and convenient.

Waffles were very good and service was great. Didn't enjoy the potatoes (hash browns) but server did her best to make it right. Had a very nice dining area and nice outside seating on Sunset Blvd.

Excellent brunch. Excellent treatment. Everything we ate was very good. I would repeat. Standard price for the Los Angeles area where it is located.

Yes, there is a wait here. However, with terrific food and service - waffles, eggs, and everything else - it is worth the wait.

Friendly staff, great breakfast and neat environment! They have a list of signature waffles to pick from but also their whiskey sticky bacon as a starter was delicious!

Yummy. We stumbled across this place and I'm so glad we did. Nice and clean compared to some of the eating establishments we've come across. Waitress was amazing and very attentive. Portions so big me and my mum shared and it was still more than enough. Food that all 4 of us had was hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned. We were looking at IHOP and Dennys but they weren't any good on reviews and we've visited before in the past those places. We will return here probably a few times throughout our stay for American breakfasts you won't be disappointed 😉

I'm hesitant to write this review just because, selfishly, I'm not sure I want more people to even know this perfect brunch place exists. We go here A LOT on weekends for brunch, mostly because the food is awesome but also because we love the music, we love the host (just seeing his face makes me happy!), the seating is comfortable and the whole vibe of the place is warm. Definitely family friendly but also cool and very Hollywood, if that makes sense.

Great Service! Great Food! Great Environment! I really love this place! I highly recommend to anyone I'm sure if you come you'll love it as well. The will have my business in the future.

This place was excellent breakfast! We had waffles, eggs, French toast, and a breakfast sandwich. Fast, friendly service and very tasty food!

We wanted something different and delicious to set us up for the day and we weren’t disappointed. I chose a lemon and blueberry waffle with fruit and turkey bacon on the side and my husband had a strawberry cheesecake waffle with sausage and hash brown on the side. We queued up outside, ordered, paid and then we’re seated and lots of options for indoor and outdoor dining. Felt friendly and very covid safe. The portions were big, but you can opt for a half waffle and set us up for our day so we didn’t need lunch.

My teenage son read the review in his high school newspaper and Loves waffles. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon...and we were the ONLY customers. The food is over-priced; portions are small; the coffee was not fresh...'Is the Coffee fresh? I asked the waitress...'Oh yes; it was made 20 minutes ago'. The Chef explained the syrup was a mix; obviously sugar water diluted with something. 'Real maple syrup is $180 a gallon; we would have to charge you $20 for your waffle.' he informed us. It took more then 17 minutes, after ordering to get our food; the waffles were cooled down. Very diappointing...very expensive. Go to a Beverly Hills Deli...or the Peninsula Hotel...same price...but you will not be disappointed. We found a one hour parking spot on the street. They do validate...for $2.35 per hour underneath the building. The Waffle Graphics/Logo are cute....That was the only good part.

Great food, service and prices! Glad we found it! Huge menu, lattes to chili! Real maple syrup, massive waffles and breakfasts:-)

Three of us visited early on Sunday morning where there was initially going to be a 15 minute wait which was fine but fortunately some space at the bar became available immediately and after that the service was friendly and fast. We all ordered different things and were giving each other grunts and nods of approval as we stuffed our faces. Points on the Bloody Mary too which sealed the deal of awesomeness after a beery Saturday night.

I've had lunch here twice - both times it was really good. I've had the roast turkey sandwich which came with cheese, avocado, bacon, coleslaw, lettuce and tomato on toast. It was delicious and more than enough for two people. Second visit I had the original waffle sandwich - fried chicken breast on a bacon waffle with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and gravy. Crazy good. All of the sandwiches come with fries, onion rings, or salad. Great meal for $15 or less.

It's so good to be able to have breakfast with tasty waffle and strong coffee. Everything is tasty here from the juice to the waffle with multiple choices. It's good to start your day here before going to the Chinese Theatre (not so far) ... And you can skip the lunch because you are really full when you leave the place

How I wish they had one of these in DC. This place was freaking awesome!!! We took a cab here, but after we ate so much, we decided to walk back to the hotel. It's not super expensive and the food was absolutely amazing.

My family and I are visiting Los Angeles and came to this place in Hollywood. The pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, and breakfast burritos were delicious, tasty, and fresh. The waitress was courteous, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our needs. She was so pleasant and helpful. Everyone was so full that we skipped lunch. I know the next time we are in Los Angeles we will definitely have breakfast here.

Coffee was thin, waffles could have been warmer and there was missing that special ingredient. It wasn't made with love...there was just average food. Wouldn't come back, only really positive thing was: the staff was really nice!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on our last day in LA. Cute restaurant with friendly service. Food was very quick. Prices were reasonable.

My daughter and I went here for breakfast during our trip. Excellent food! Atmosphere like an old diner - loved it. Wasn't busy when we were there (weekday morning 8:30a). I had the hash brown scramble (hash brown waffle with egg scramble on top with a dollop of sour cream). It comes as a half waffle. I also ordered a half of a chocolate waffle (comes with sliced strawberries and whipped cream). Was too much food but wanted to try both. My daughter had an egg, bacon and potato breakfast that came with a half waffle - she upgraded to the red velvet. Coffee was very good also. We will most definitely be back and would highly recommend for any waffle lover!

I've see reviews for this place about how terrible the food is and the service but we had the complete opposite experience. Our server was the only one there and yet we got great friendly service and when the next server arrived she even stopped to make sure we had drinks and were enjoying everything. My husband got the tres leches waffle which we thought was very good play on a tres leches cake it was awesome I got smothered has-brown with rich gravy and peppers and onions they were cooked to perfection and a huge portion and then we split a flight of wee waffles the red velvet sticky bun and blueberry lemon we both loved the red velvet the sticky bun was to sweet for me but my hubby liked it and the blueberry lemon was nice and tart I really liked that one but my husband didn't they have outdoor pet friendly seating as well so next time we come we will bring our fur baby

The flavors here are unmatched. I had the banana pecan which was perfect with scrambled eggs & bacon, my friends had the pecan waffle and the other the jalapeño vegan hash brown which had so many layers of flavor. Can’t wait to return to try the other flavors!

Pretty good food. I got the blueberry lemon waffle plate. My food was warm. Should’ve been hot. Taste was good tho Mimosa was good too. Prices average for Los Angeles. Service was decent. I would go back.

Oh my gosh so many waffles to choose from!! The gigantic mimosa was awesome. If I lived in la I would come every week to try a different Waffle for brunch.

Seriously, some of the most amazing food I have had in a LONG time! I split an order of the red velvet waffles and also a vegetarian tofurky ruben sandwich with waffle fries with a friend. Best idea ever!!! got my salty and sweet fix. Food was amazing! So glad I tried this place. The red velvet waffles are to die for!!!!!!!!! Highly highly HIGHLY recommend if you like red velvet!

I ate breakfast here two consecutive mornings and had a very pleasant experience both occasions. The service is prompt and friendly and the food arrives quickly and is excellent. This is a great spot to check out if you’re staying nearby.

We walked here from a local place we are staying while in town. The inside seating is on the smaller side though there are additional tables out front. Good food and friendly staff. The Breakfast Pot Pie crust was light and flakey. I ordered it with scrambled eggs and bacon. They pepper season it for the average person, I added more to my taste. The gravy could have a little more flavor (sausage and salt) but overall a good dish. My husband ordered the Hash Brown Waffle and it was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the waffle added a hint of sweetness. If I were to go back again, this is what I would order. Watching food leave the kitchen, the portion sizes are big. Some of the sandwich lunch orders seemed to be sharing size.

too pricey, less than average food.

Came here for breakfast and loved everything about the restaurant. It has a 70s vibe and the food was great and filling. Mimosas are great as well. I highly recommend the red velvet waffle.

GREAT FOOD and Service on Sunset Boulevard. Three of us had a nice table on the patio. Food was great and served in plentiful proportions. The waffle items were served with two waffles (4"x6"). The egg dishes had one waffle as an option. The double wide chicken waffle sandwich was HUGE and could/should be shared. Onion rings were among the best that I have eaten in years. Mimosas were indeed champagne with a splash of OJ. Waitress was cheerful, polite and efficient. Truly a pleasurable experience.

Me, my husband and two kids had a great breakfast here. The waffles are delicious! Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Lots of yummy choices. Weather was perfect so we sat outside. It was a weekday morning so we had no issues with waiting and were seated right away. Service was friendly.

I went on a recommendation from my friend, and honestly I was expecting just a waffle place. When I saw the menu, I was impressed that it was both a breakfast and lunch cafe, and I loved all the types of waffles. They're big, but man are they good. Also love the interior decorating and apparently they validate parking in the structure for their building! It would have been nice to know ahead of time, but at least we have a heads up for the next visit!

Serivce was poor, waitress was slow & chekced on us once. Kiddo had to run over twice to counter to ask for stuff we needed. Waffle chckn sandwich was on the bland side. Onion rings were delish but super salty (which is prob why they were delish...lol). Kiddo did like her choc chip pancakes. Friend had choc pancakes which were also tasty. Seems like their sweets are better than the food. Ok to try, prob not a return trip.

Stopped here for breakfast after staying overnight to see Last Comic Standing. The food and coffee was good. Waffles were good, but I wish the real maple syrup wasn't extra (didn't purchase it).

Sunday breakfast became brunch after a forty minute wait to be seated. No problem though lots of locals hanging outside in the sunshine. Food was spot on the waffles are a must try.

Great place for brunch! They serve their mimosas in mason jars and any kind of waffle you can think of. For about $15 bucks the meal was very cheap. I tried the hash waffle mixed with hashbrowns, egg, and bacon- it did not disappoint. It was a great place to fuel up before a busy day of walking/touring. You can sit inside or outside and its right near the Hollywood walk of fame!

Staying close by, this was a perfect breakfast place for us! Large mimosas for only 6 dollars - we loved it. Lots of yummy waffles, pancakes and so on. The food was really good! However, the last time we visited we were kinda surprised by the waiter. When getting the bill - she had crossed over the total price with a black pen and she wrote on the tips manually. All the others time we were there, we would write on our own tips - according after the service we got. But the lady on our last visit didn’t let us do that, she wrote it as the total - and also when signing for the credit card bill the tips was already added and it was fairly high. Didn’t know this was a standard?

The best waffles and breakfast we have ever had. My family were super happy with the food and service. Special shout out to Paige who was exceptional. We will be back soon. ❤️

it's OK

My family of five were in LA/Hollywood from June 5-8 and we ate at The Waffle 3 mornings b/c it was so yummy! Great Service! Great Atmosphere! Would go back for sure. The menu is vast with lots of variety, everyone was able to find something they loved.

There were an amazing variety of waffles available. I appreciated the fact that you could order half of a waffle. The service was good, and the server rightly told me to not put maple syrup on the sticky bun waffle since it was already quite sweet. The hash browns and eggs were so so. I should have just ordered a full waffle.

Although the name of the place is the Waffle, this place has one of the best burgers in town! Great experience and value with an upbeat ambiance. I had the Works Burger with a side of waffle fries. Patty was thick and juicy cooked to perfection! Alternatively, if you have a sweet-tooth they have one of the best strawberry waffles I've ever had. Staff is friendly and location is on a busy corner of Sunset and Vine.

Okay, first of all I have to admit that I didn't get a waffle. (Pause for heavy sighs from the audience.). But the rest of my family did - blueberry, chocolate chip with whipped cream, and chocolate. They all proclaimed them to be out of this world. I believe this to be true because there was not a crumb left on anyone's plate. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich (a dish I frequently get at restaurants) which was amazing!! The sauce was just the right amount of spicy, the chicken juicy, and the blue cheese they use - different - in a VERY GOOD way! Loved it!!!!! We also had excellent service, which is always appreciated!!

I went to this place by chance due to close proximity to hotel on my visit to LA and loved it! Tried the red velvet waffle and my friends strawbery cheesecake waffle as well as eggs, sausage and hash browns. My red velvet was amazing! Still had sime traditional waffle tasted mixed in with the red velvet. I wish I could try all of them!!

Went here today to get The Waffle Breakfast which included 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and half a waffle. Excellent breakfast

Very nice waffle place walking distance from our hotel. Nice variety of food and non stop coffee. Service was impeccable.

Stopped in for a spur of the moment Sunday breakfast, and was so glad we did! The waffles are awesome. I ordered the blueberry and lemon waffle and my friend ordered the corned beef hash and the applewood smoked bacon waffle, because she couldn't decide between the two. It was all awesome. My waffle was simply the best I've ever had.And we washed it all down with delcious bottomless mimosas. A great experience!

came here on a sunday morning. The place was busy, but we only waited a few minutes. Service great. My husband loves waffles and he liked his breakfast. They dont have my favorite breakfast, eggs benedict, but they do mostly waffles. Good food, good service.

During our stay at the W Hotel, someone had suggested The Waffle for breakfast. The service was great and the food was good, but not "outstanding" as I was told. Overall we weren't disappointed and would definately go back if in the area.

Woah- so many inventive and delicious options! What I enjoyed most was being able to order two half orders. I wish I had a bigger stomach to try more during my visit. The red velvet truly tasted like a red velvet cake and the salmon and chives totally hit my more savory craving!

The food here...is amazing. The red velvet waffle was absolutely perfect. My sister had the tres leches waffle, a friend had blueberry lemon, and another had plain. Everyone loved their food... but let's talk about the important things here...THE MIMOSAS! Our server told us they use a half a bottle of champagne in each mimosa and they were NOT lying. The mimosas coe in a cute little mason jar and instead of just the traditional champagne and OJ, you can do grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, or even apple juice. Everyone at our table tried something different. I had the grapefruit mimosa and I loved it. The next time I'm in LA, i'll definitely be back.

Located on Sunset Blvd easy to find don't let the construction fool you the Waffle is open during this time. Brought my mom since she's a waffle lover. She ordered a plain waffle and loved it. The Waffle offers all types of waffles from Pecan, Jalapeno etc. The plates are a good portion, however, I think it's over priced. The waffles are la carte. Our server Daniel provided great service and great energy. Loved the whole experience and 70's feeling.

we ate there twice within a week. the service was friendly and efficient. a few C- list celebrities were sighted including a contestant from the bachelor.

We had a yummy breakfast here. We ordered red velvet, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate and tres leches waffles. I sampled them all ...they all were great. Red velvet probably my fav.

We went for dinner before a show at the Pantages---only a couple blocks away. The staff, while not very friendly, was professional and courteous. And the food was really good. I had their cornmeal/jalapeno waffle, which is actually chicken and waffles with greens and gravy. Really, really good. Chicken was cooked perfectly, a boneless breast that you could cut without a knife. Hubby got corned beef hash that he liked, but I guess did not love. You could not tell by the way he nearly licked his plate. We also shared a waffle sundae and were completely stuffed. Oh I had a cocktail too that was fairly cheap (maybe it was happy hour?) and STRONG. Loved that it was not crowded---checking this place out for the first time for dinner was the way to go for us!

Clean and friendly casual diner, with plenty of breakfast options such as waffles, pancakes, and omlettes. Good selection of vegetarian options for my husband. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Reasonable prices, with the pancakes being especially good. Be prepared to feel very full after ordering The Waffle signature breakfast! Plenty of tables. Quiet at 7am but gets busier quickly.

Had the most breakfast here one morning when I was in LA. Quiet place with a fun wait staff. Great vibe. Delicious food.

We were taking our niece out for lunch (she is at the Los Angeles campus of Emerson College down the street), and she recommended The Waffle. So, of course, great waffles (we had the sticky bun waffle, not subtle, but great), but also great chili, great sandwiches, pleasant service, and very reasonable prices. We all really liked it.

I had the pesto ham and scrambled eggs. My BF had the vegetarian scramble and we split the sweet wee flight of waffles! the three waffles sampled were the red velvet, the sticky bun and the blueberry/lemon - which i liked the best. All were mouth-watering melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The pesto eggs were good, but I would probably branch out on a return trip.

Possibly the best waffles in town. Went there for breakfast and it was a very enjoyable experience

This was the highlight of Los Angeles for me! They have the most delicious food, and not just waffles! Be prepared for a little bit of a wait, but it is worth every minute! I have the sticky bun waffle and mac and cheese (hey, don't judge). I was not a fan of California as a whole, but I would go back to eat at The Waffle!!!!

Best hash browns so far. Very slow service, and only 4 tables in. Asked for my eggs to be softly scrambled, arrived the texture of an omelette. Waited so long, I couldn’t be bothered to send them back,I was so hungry. Proud Mary cocktails very good. Service too slow, for so few tables and pretty awful eggs, not cooked as I asked.

Very good service e and food. I've eaten waffle and drunk capuccino. If I'll come back in L.A. I'm coming here for breakfast

If you like waffles, The Waffle is the spot. Great selection of waffles, they are very light & fluffy like a waffle should be. We went for breakfast, sat outside & enjoyed our breakfast. The red velvet waffle was amazing and if you like STRONG coffee, this is your place. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

Went on a Sunday morning- we did first available for sitting and ended up on the side outside. Perfect- no wind and ended up warming up. Glad we were outside since when we went in to use the restroom we noticed it was very loud since the acoustics aren't great. The food was so delicious! There were 3 adults and 1 child. Nothing disappointed. The only issue was all the food was brought out minus my waffle but when it did come after a bit and the waiter realizing I still didn't have it- it did taste wonderful! Everything was fresh and large! No complaints and definitely recommend! Not your average waffle house and glad we found this place!

Great place for breakfast, large delicious servings. Large cup of coffee. Friendly staff. Loved the diner decor. Highly recommend.

Quite the interesting experience. Everything somehow involved some type of Waffle. We went around 11am on a Friday and the wait was around 10 minutes. The waffle breakfast comes with 1/2 a waffle, choice of eggs, potatoes and meat. We opted for red velvet waffle with cream cheese icing and the chocolate chip waffle with ganache. Both very tasty. I would definitely recommend checking this place out while in L.A.

This was my first time coming here. We came for afternoon brunch on a Sunday. There was a nice little wait but they have a nice seating area outside and it was a beautiful day. They normally have parking but there was construction near the lot entrance so it was blocked off. When you walk up the host tells you to write your name & pick your option of seating. We opted to pick either or in hopes to shorten our wait. Bad decision. Idk if it was where we were seated or they didn't spray the morning of but we were literally harassed by flies. Like I actually ended up sending part of my meal back because before I could cover it the flies had attacked. Literally the most aggressive determined flies ever & I just went horseback riding so I know a little something about aggressive flies. Long story short eat inside. The food was kind of mediocre well at least what I had which was the half waffle with bacon eggs & country fries. I was underwhelmed. My bf had the short stack with the chicken on the side. He said the pancakes were good but the chicken was dry & under-seasoned. I personally just wasn't happy with the entire situation. I would however give them another try, sit inside and maybe try something from the lunch menu instead. I try not to let one bad experience deter me especially when I saw people enjoying themselves. No but seriously they should spray outside each morning before opening.

I was a little hesitant to come here since I'm more of a savory breakfast person but we were looking for "bottomless mimosas" for brunch and they have "extra large" mimosas for $6 ALL DAY! Well it' turns out there are savory waffles! I got waffles w/ hash browns inside topped with eggs, bacon, and sour cream. DELICIOUS!

The expression goes, “start the way you want to finish”, and that’s exactly what happened here. We started off with the best fresh squeezed orange juice I have ever had at ANY restaurant, EVER! French toast was great along with the red skin potatoes and scrambled eggs. In and out in about an hour and off to start our day in LA. Friendly waitress and the option to dine inside or out.

I ate breakfast here with a colleague this morning. It was a beautiful sunny LA day and good to sit outside. The menu is extensive but we both opted for scrambled eggs. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. Our waiter was very good and helpful. The place wasn't very busy as we were quite early. No clue what it would be like when busy. It is a convenient and affordable breakfast spot in Hollywood that I will eat at again in the future.

We had a great time eating brunch here. The service was very friendly and quick. The mimosas aren't bottomless for brunch, but we did some science experimenting and concluded that each one of their double size mimosas is the size of three regular mimosas. So it really evens out cost wise. The waffles were delicious. It was really just nice comforting breakfast food and a casual sit down diner feel. I would definitely go back.

We were visiting LA on holiday and was after a quick and easy breakfast, the service was very good and the food came out in under 10mins. The waffle breakfast was very nice with a nice mix of a waffle along with eggs saussages and potatoes!

The servings were large. The food was excellent. The best breakfast I’ve had traveling. Cute decor and warm atmosphere.

We walked here from the W hotel. We had a group of 8 that they seemed to have a hard time accommodating. I will say that the food was excellent. I had the strawberry cheesecake waffle. The only downfall was that they spilled the strawberry sauce all over my lap when they served me my waffle but did apologize and bring club soda to help clean it up. Overall everyone loved what they ordered.

The service is pretty bad. We sat for almost 15 min before we were even acknowledged. 30 min in I had never got my coffee. When we flagged someone down they said they were brewing some. A waffle house on a Monday morning doesn't have coffee? Then we watched them deliver coffee to people that had only been there not even 5 min.! Once the Bfast came after about 35 min. the Waffles were barely warm. The butter was in a ball that would not melt so cold. But the Eggs, country potatoes and sausage were Hot and really good. SO....IF the service was better it could be great. But we got no coffee and cold waffles at the Waffle House!

Staff were eager but in an almost awkward way. Between a group, ordered about 4 or 5 dishes. Stand out was a chive waffle with smoked salmon. Everything else was diner style food, came out lukewarm and was cold by the time it was finished.

You can't find a better breakfast than the fresh orange or grapefruit juice and the eponymous waffle here, especially if it is sunny enough to eat outdoors.

I went here looking for good pecan waffles and good pecan waffles is what I got. They were cooked to perfection, crispy outside-doughy inside, and bits of pecans inside. You can add sides as the waffles only come on their own, but if you do rest easy knowing the bacon is nice and crispy. Parking will be a bit of a challenge as Sunset is a pretty busy street, but around the corner from the restaurant on Argyle Ave. there is a lot where you can park for I believe $10 flat rate. I would recommend parking there and after breakfast or brunch taking walk around the Sunset strip, lots of shops and sights to see. The CNN LA location is also located on Sunset.

The waffles were good we ordered the strawberry cheesecake waffles and applewood bacon waffles. Nothing to rave about, but enjoyable. The service was awful. Our waiter took our order and brought our check. Anything else we need came from the bus boy or another waiter we had to seek out. I would return.

$62.00 for a waffle with two eggs over easy and regular coffees for the two of us … OK that’s $31.00 a piece …. Place is freezing cold inside with zero atmosphere . Do your research in advance, people !

Savoury, sweet or spicy, The Waffle has it all. Excellent breakfast place not to be missed in Hollywood!

There's always a long wait here, but it's worth it for breakfast. Lunch not as much, in my opinion. Their waffle fries are so-so and the burger I had on my one lunch visit was meh. But the breakfast is amazing! I've had the pecan waffle as well as the blueberry lemon curd. Both were delicious! Wish they did online reservations, as I would go far more often. As it is, the 40+ minute wait is a bit of a deterrent.

Had breakfast here during my stay in Cali and HAD to go back a second time. The first time I had a breakfast potpie smothered in sawmill gravy and hands down was the best breakfast I had my entire time in LA. My friend enjoyed her red velvet waffles and her Mimosa. Next time we went I had hash browns with mushrooms cheese and bacon. The food here is wonderful. Service is fast and friendly and the interior is nice and clean.

Everyone in my party had a different flavor waffle so we could sample each one. They are made well, very light and lovely flavors but nothing so outrageously good I'm sad to say. I was so excited for the red velvet waffle but it didn't live up to my expectations. I mean, it was good, not great. As was everything. For the price and hype, I expected more. I'm used to NYC brunches so I guess I have super-high expectations. I give it all a B+.

I heard about this place on Food Network on a show called the 'Best Thing I Ever Ate'. They absolutely raved about the red velvet waffle. So, since my fiance and I was on vacation and in the area we thought 'why not'. We went late in the evening around 8 o'clock. There was no crowd at all just us and 1 other customer so service was prompt. We already knew what we were going to order so things went pretty quick and smoothly. The waffle was absolutely excellent! I've never had anything like it and it wasn't overly sweet like you might expect. They also had a wide variety/selection of menu items and the prices are reasonable. The employees were cordial and attentive and the restaurant (including restrooms) was clean. The ambience was oh so romantic, with low playing music and dimly lit. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely return when/if we're in California :-)

Just as the name indicates, this is a waffle joint. Many varieties of waffles and served in large portions. A few of the waffles we ordered where a combination of fresh waffle and jarred fruit. Others were unique and OMG tasty. Worth a visit to get you days calories in one sitting.

Went to the Waffle for brunch while visiting friends outside of Hollywood. They had a good many with great Waffle selections. I got the Sticky Bun waffle which was pretty much desert for breakfast. Definitely recommend it if you have a sweet tooth. Other selections were great to, and not so sweet. Avoid the Bloody Mary unless you really like cocktail sauce, it's extremely sweet.

Now I'm a breakfast person, so any restaurant called the Waffle had my attention right away. It's a little place on Sunset around the corner from the W on Hollywood Blvd, and yes, it has great waffles. I had the Sticky Bun Waffles, which as you can imagine tasted like a fresh sticky bun, but I also ordered the breakfast burrito (couldn't decide). Didn't finish either, but wish I could have, they were both amazing. Great food. Really reasonable prices (my meal with a drink was like $25). If you find yourself in Hollywood on a weekend morning and need a little relaxing breakfast, hit the Waffle. Keep your eyes open, this is a big destination for the local stars as well.

Nice place to eat. They have a great choice of food here...including lots of different waffles :) Personally i loved the breakfast pie.

I don't really like waffles unless it's chicken and waffles, so I got pancakes which were decent. I got pancakes, scrambled eggs w/ cheese, and some bacon. They went overboard on the cheese in my eggs, like it hardly seemed like there were no eggs. Then I wanted some cranberry juice which was not refillable, I originally wanted orange juice but that was like $3 and it's not refillable. My friends got the red velvet waffle which she said was good, and my other friend got the chocolate chip waffle which she said was good. It was kinda expensive but we wanted to try something new, so I wasn't that bothered by it.

We stopped by here as a large group of 8 people for a late breakfast. Our waitress was really friendly and we also appreciated the free coffee refills! The breakfast arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection - also offering vegan waffle options for some members of the group. I’d definitely return to The Waffle!

This is a gem of a place. Unbelievable food and drink. Top class service. Will definitely be visiting again on my trip.

I normally stay in the neighboring hotels when I travel to Los Angeles and I am not a fan of hotel restaurants - especially for breakfast. I found this place on an app on my phone and I have never regretted it! I have visited this place 3 times since late December 2012. Cool artsy crunchy type wait staff, and awesome food! I have the lemon blueberry waffle breakfast. Pro's the menu Cons's music may be a tad bit too loud if you are hungover.

1st impressions really count which is why a miserable host who makes you feel awkward for being there and unsure whether you should leave it not is not the best way to start breakfast. Sadly the host was then couple by the news that the expresso machine was broken. Double whammy. Luckily the waffles were great, the price was right and I'd definitely go back. Just would like a smiley face at the door! Would make all the difference.
Blueberry lemon waffles to die for!
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, great food! Love this place! The blueberry-lemon curd waffles were so great we had to visit again and again! Bacon crispy, eggs Benedict looked delish, the couple next to us seemed to enjoy them. Three times in five days...yes, the calories are so worth it! This will be our staple breakfast place in LA.
