I couldn’t decide on which tacos to get so I tried one of each. Fish taco, chicken taco, steak taco. They were all extremely good so I can’t pick a favorite. Yummy!

Food American style, great choice of beers, allways a favourite place to hang out while in Los Angeles. Try to get a table front row on the terrace and you will be perfectly positioned any time of the day. Staff allways dedicated and friendly.

This place is a bar, first and foremost. Don't expect a good meal beyond standard burgers, sandwiches, and (cold) fries. Too much German beer too - how about a California craft beer? Anyway, we were hungry and there's really not a lot in/near Venice Beach, so we toughed it out.

Venice’s Ocean Front Walk has some very decent eateries sprinkled among the tacky food vendors along the strip. One of them is “On the Waterfront” at No. 205. It’s a pleasant place with an eclectic menu that includes --of all things—Swiss specialties. (By the way, in case you're a movie buff and were wondering, there’s no discernible connection between On the Waterfront and the Marlon Brando film with that title.) You can opt for outdoor seating, which is where I found a table for lunch. A parking lot separates Ocean Front Walk from the beach at that particular point, however, so the ocean view from the patio is not direct. With regard to parking, I discovered free on-street parking on Westminster Ave., between 5th and 7th Avenues, and walked to Venice Beach from there, avoiding the $5-$7 parking lot charges. There is also indoor seating, an interior courtyard, a pool table in the bar area, as well as an adjacent outdoor Biergarten. The menu has some standard pub food items, such as burgers and pasta, as well as the Swiss dishes. Average cost per plate, excluding beverage, is $10-$16. I ordered a salad and a potato pancake topped with diced potatoes creamed in a mild curry sauce and mixed with fresh fruit. It’s one of those unlikely but delicious combinations that the Swiss do so well. (I overheard the German couple at the next table ordering cheeseburgers. Exotic is in the mind of the beholder!) My salad was very fresh, and the beer was excellent. Among other brews they serve Erdinger Weissbier, Bitburger Pils, König Pils, and Kostritzer Schwarzbier on tap, which are not easy to find in the US. Service was friendly and competent, but slow. I had the feeling the waiters were doing their best but that the café is understaffed. It’s one of those places where you walk in and wonder if you’re supposed to take a seat or wait for someone to seat you, and there’s no one to ask. (Just take a seat.) If you need a quick lunch, this is probably not the best choice of places, but I happened to have time to kill, so I just kicked back with a beer and enjoyed the views while I waited for my food, which was worth the wait. It was a quiet place when I arrived, but circumstances on Venice Beach change unpredictably, and as I was finishing my meal a street singer plopped his soap box down next to the patio, plugged in an amplified guitar, and started belting out the blues. (As I was leaving, guests at the restaurant were shouting at each other to be heard over the music.) However, if I’m ever back on Venice Beach, I’ll stop in at On the Waterfront again.

Without doubt the best bar on the Venice Broadwalk. Good selection of beers. Lots of different seating options inside and out. Very good music and cool vibe. We also had some seafood Tacos. Excellent quality and fresh ingredients. Staff were all super friendly. In addition there was a superb street band playing outside the bar. Great entertainment. Top place.

A very decent iconic spot. Food and drinks are good, not great. But, you can't beat the location. Some part of me wants to see it remodeled, other parts remind me of the Venice I knew 20 years ago. Definitely worth a pretzel and a beer....

Lovely location. Where you can just enjoy a very nice cold draught beer( excellent selection). Also had the steak sandwich, which was just how I like it. There was also a very good band playing across the promenade. Nice afternoon.

We love this place to drink a beer, have some lunch, and people watch. In the heart of Venice beach. We love this place to drink a beer, have some lunch, and people watch. In the heart of Venice beach.

The only way to describe this place is that it is fun. The food is good and the atmosphere relaxed. It is a great place to simply relax if you have had a demanding day either seeing the sights or on business.

Stopped in for a couple of cold beers. Ordered a pizza to share. It was surprisingly good. Took care of three of us and held us over until dinner.

This was a cute little waterfront restaurant with a view of the beach. We were there around 3pm for happy hour. During happy hour, margaritas are buy 1 get 1 free, so they automatically deliver two to your table if you order one. I also had their Ceasar salad with added avocado. They didn't skimp on the added avocado which was great. The croutons on the salad were great, but the dressing wasn't very flavorful or plentiful. We also had the appetizer with chips, salsa, and guacamole, which was flavorful and very tasty. Our server was a bit flat in her personality, and she became a bit hard to find despite the patio not being that big.

Children played pool while we relaxed over a delicious appetizer. Not sure I would bring young children; teenager appropriate!

Going to Venice is a hassle, (hadn’t been to the boardwalk since 2016!), but we made it out to the Juice Skateboard Mag monthly event and it was so great! Such a community friendly event that seems to rope some tourists into the fun. If you happen to be in town for one, stop by. Cool, beach clubhouse vibes all around. Not to mention that the 2 for One happy hour is also great, but skip the rosé. Nacho and quesadilla snacks hit the spot. Will probably return if I ever find myself over there. Stoked that the boardwalk has a cool updated local spot that feels super welcoming and not touristy.

We were traveling with friends for their anniversary dinner and they wanted a restaurant on the water. After reading trip advisor, we went to On the Water Café. To people watch and drink it is a perfect place, but to get a meal go somewhere else. My husband asked about the chicken wings in which the waitress replied she wouldn't recommend. We ended up getting chicken tenders that were not good. My friend got a German dish that the menu described as one thing and it was something totally different. There were plenty of characters to watch as we ate, but bottom line is we had to go somewhere else to get food and our friends had a disappointing anniversary dinner.

The highlight here is the Erdinger Weisbeer. On a warm Venice Beach day, there is no better beer. Food is hit or miss; appetizers and salads are good (awesome beer batter onion rings), the european specials are good, but the sandwiches are iffy at best. It doesn't matter tho, because you came for the beer and the front row view of the passing people parade that makes venice beach. Getting a table can be a little tough; there is no waiting list so you have to snag a table as soon as someone gets up to leave, or be friendly and cozy up with other people in the beergarden.

Great place to hang out with locals and make new friends. Reasonable priced (during happy hour), food is excellent.

Cool location right on the Venice Beach boardwalk. We sat for a few hours to watch the people go back while listening to great music from the street musicians. We had giant glasses of German beer and shared one of their enormous pretzel with stone ground mustard - of the best things I've ever eaten! Only regret is that we didn't actually eat a whole meal there. Fun place!

Wind from the sea The atmosphere of freedom friendly service but not very efficient Excellent pretzel and a winning location

We had a great dinner at this beautiful restaurant with delicious drinks and food. As we were leaving the club vibe was kicking in. The kids really enjoyed it!

Everyone seems to go here for brunch at the weekend. We just went for drinks each day. Good range of beer and food available. Position A for people watching on the boardwalk.

We've been there during the happy hour( between 6 and 8pm) and so the prices for our drinks were really cheap. Although you can't really consider it a café but rather a "biergarten" the service is really good and you have a nice view of the ocean!

This is a bar/restaurant. Advertised as best view of the beach. We arrived at 7:00 and were seated in the backroom (which was more quiet). This is primarily a bar atmosphere for the young with loud music. I wouldn't recommend for a family. Food okay. Server was efficient and pleasant. I felt the overall atmosphere of the Venice Beach area was seedy,

On the calmer Santa Monica side of the Venice Beach walkway, On the Waterfront Cafe serves a full line of German beers on tap, and a full menu of German and American bar foods. Try their Bündnerfleisch sandwich! Great burgers, soft pretzels & the like too. Bbt the beer, the sun and the people watching are the big draws. You do pay extra for the on-the-beach location, but it's well worth it. Good service, good food and great location combine to make this a heartily-recommended stop if you are in the area, and hungry and/or thirsty.

Dropped in with family (2 adults 2 children 4/7). Food was great. Burger and salad for the adults. They made smaller burger meals for the children. We had 6 beers during the weekday happy hour which saved $33 plus tip and taxes. Having dined elsewhere, I’d rate this place as very good. The food was generous and tasty. The atmosphere was great. We were sat at the front but venture back into the venue you’ll find lots of different areas with their own personality including quite a swanky area! I’d say good value and good food. Would definitely recommend.

One of my favorite bars on the Venice boardwalk to chill out and have a Erdinger beer and people watch. The fish and chips and the calamari is pretty amazing.

This place is good for a quick beer on a long walk. Other than that, no thanks. Too expensive, dirty and hard crappy seats.

More of a bar than a restaurant, most people stop for a beer or 2 or 3 and to watch the boardwalk passers by. The food is ok, Burgers and fries, but nothing to write home about. ( but still deserves a review ) Service is acceptable for the boardwalk

TripAdvisor places this cafe in LA, but it is in Venice. Great service, fairly good food, great beer, and a view that is amazing for people watching! Highly recommend the place. Can't avoid having a nice time here.

This restaurant used to be cool when there were fewer people visiting the place. Now there are too many people, the service has deteriorated, and the food is awful. I would not visit this restaurant. Not worth the expensive prices and the ridiculously high mandatory tips.

This is a cool restaurant / bar location right on the boardwalk on Venice Beach. There is a full bar inside and everyone was watching the NBA finals when I was there. The pretzels are so big they use a pizza box for take out. Good service and fun food.

If you want to eat and/or drink along the beach and waterfront and to watch the sunset, this is a great place. If you're looking for any kind of a good meal, this is not the place. The food is tasteless and, frankly, pretty bad. But actually kind of worth consuming for the view alone.

Right on the waterfront! Not gourmet food, but ok, and location rocks! I'm from Colorado and the beer selection didn't really impress me since we have so many microbrews, but the wine was nice and pizza was ok.

this is the 2nd best German restaurant in the US. Excellent beer, excellent food, perfect view right on the ocean walk. Schnitzels are excellent but even the pasta is yummy. Erdinger beer on tap.

We were seated outside with great viewing of Venice Beach, I hadn’t been out to Ca for 2 years. Keith P was our attentive server. Drinks & food was excellent, ahi tuna & guacamole, just what we were looking for. I felt completely safe out there especially after what I had been reading in the news.. Would definitely go back.

Everything was delicious - we had a copious plate with delicious selection of breads. Service was quick and polite. Loved it!

The welcome is good, as is the beer and the food. The oceanic view is really great, and the neighborhood nice and peaceful.

This restaurant has a great location! It is settled at the end of the Venice shops so a little less commotion. The food is ok but the German beer is excellent.

We were staying at Venice Beach and our place had bikes that we used to take in the beaches and activity. This place was full of activity during our stay. After a ride to Santa Monica; we stopped here for a beer and to watch the Belmont before riding back. We ended up staying a couple of hours as we chatted it up with locals waiting for the Kings game to start. Congratulations to all of the peeps there that day; we really enjoyed hanging with the locals and the pretzel was delicious!! Warm, made to order. Several other items we saw going out looked good also. We liked the busy sidewalk portion also as a band across the boardward was very good and it was nice to sit down and have a cold one, take in the music and people watch until we decided to go inside to see the race. If you are on the Venice Beach boardwalk, this is where the locals go and the staff is very nice; some we recognized from our stay 3 years ago. They are always accomodating with regard to the TV and games to put on to make everyone happy. The also have an indoor patio setting as well as a front bar and bar in the back with pool tables. We'll go back when we visit Venice Beach again.

Took a break from the bike path to grab a cold one. Met a traveler from Spain and had a very interesting conversation. Wound up staying for lunch and a few more beers. California BLT was excellent as were the cold Erdinger beers! I sat outside in the 'bier garten' and really enjoyed the sun, people watching, and listening to the Rasta band that was set up just across the sidewalk. Overall a great time.

The Waterfront is definitely the place to go when kicking it on the Venice boardwalk. Great place for a lunch or to grab a drink with friends. Part of the appeal is the different vibes and atmospheres available between the two outdoor patios, indoor bar, and indoor lounge/dining areas. The staff is great, the food nicely prepared and well presented - what more can you ask for? I’ll tell you. Live music! Well come any Tuesday morning at 9:30 and eat from the specially prepared buffet and enjoy unusual live music on the beautiful back patio. The Waterfront hosts something called the Composers Breakfast Club on those mornings. Where else can you hang with music pros, eat great food, and hear adventurous music on a Tuesday morning? The answer is, of course, nowhere!

Starters (including Guinness Beer Battered Shrimp and Jalapeno Bottle Caps), Soups, Cheese Pizza with Tomato Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese, Burgers and other sandwiches, quesadilla. Great view and people watching. Awesome atmosphere for watching the game or just chilling. Staff were flooded but did a great job keeping up.

Second I m going to this place and I’gave to tell I had. A food moment . Nice bartender for a loverly time . Food is delicious . The menu is diversified

we waited for half an hour to get a table here, were sitting at the bar waiting, when we got to the table there were plenty empty ones so i do not know why they made us wait. if they take you through the back the menu is different to what they show you at the front and you cannot order from that menu if you are put in the back. the food was only average and nothing special. the waiter did not return we had to ask another waiter, the waitress could not get our cups apart for our bottle of water, she did not return with those ethers we didn't drink our water

We arrived on Venice Beach late and were tired and hungry. We went a couple doors down from where we were staying and saw Waterfront. It was busy and had a diverse and interesting crowd. We liked the patio that was right on the boardwalk for people watching. I knew from reading TA that it received decent reviews so we tried it. We were greeted right away and cold beer was served promptly. I got the giant pretzel and the steak quesadillas. My husband got the schnitzel. We loved all the food. First of all, that pretzel is huge. We shared it. It came with yellow mustard, spicy mustard and butter on the side. It was served very hot and soft. It was awesome. The quesadilla was loaded with cheese and a generous amount of tasty steak. It was served with a good sized helping of sour cream and guacamole on the side. I really enjoyed it. My husband's schnitzel was served with a generous helping of French fries. He thought it was very good. He also commented that Bitburger was a beer he'd enjoyed when we were in Germany but was hard to find here (in Phoenix at least). I guess that because so many Europeans seem to vacation in Venice Beach is why they have such a diverse selection of beer. Waterfront has inside and outside seating. They also have the option of opening up the glass doors to make the inside more part of the outside. They also have at least one big screen tv on the wall. People staying nearby really seemed to flock to this place to hang out, people watch and have a beer. Their patio seating is right on the boardwalk. This is not a fancy place at all. You can even say it's a dive but we thought the food was great and the servers were friendly. Don't judge a book by its cover.

I have been coming here for years and love their Erdinger beer. Can't go wrong with it and the're usually some musicians playing music right in front. Talented people that enjoy life while you get to enjoy it with them along with a good beer.

Nothing to complain about here. This is a nice, reasonably priced place. Conveniently located right on the beach with indoor and outdoor seating. This is a German food themed restaurant. We all enjoyed what we ordered. Staff was friendly. There was nothing that stood out to me as “amazing,” but I would go again.

Stopped here for brunch before exploring muscle beach. I had the breakfast burrito and a black coffee. Service, food and the view were all amazing. It is about a 15 minute walk down to muscle beach.

The Waterfront Venice boasts that it is the best bar on the famous Venice Beach Boardwalk. As a non-drinker, I can't vouch for that appraisal. But there is no disputing the fact that Waterfront Venice is one of the most popular destinations on the beach. Located at 205 Ocean Front Walk, it features a laid-back beer garden, a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean and a menu that offers quesadillas, nachos, guacamole, Caesar salad, all-day burritos, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. Beach food, to be sure. But my choice was traditional fish and chips with beer battered cod, tartar sauce and French fries. With whipped vanilla custard, fresh strawberries and meringue for dessert. Open from 3 to 10 on Thursday and Friday and 11 to 10 on Saturday and Sunday, Waterfront Venice is a tourist's delight.

Stopped in to have a quick seat and listen to the music being played on the sidewalk. Enjoyed a quick beer and a song. Lovely.

This casual, welcoming restaurant is SoCal at its best: friendly, casual, and tasty. We were seated promptly and handed a menu of healthy, delicious fare that included a wonderful variety of plant-based options. Our friendly waitress patiently answered our questions and helped us decide what to order. We ordered Beyond Burgers, which were cooked super-well and came out promptly. Our waitress didn't hustle us out after we were finished, which was great, as we wanted to soak in the sunset and beach vibes. They had a great drinks menu as well!

We stopped here for lunch and a break from the baking sunshine of LA. The three of us ordered different things, I had a budget which was great. The drinks were large and the staff were friendly. We sat outside on the walkway under an umbrella and we were lucky enough to have an old timer play jazz/R&B on his guitar for our whole visit. He was the reason we stopped and he made the lunch extra special.

Perfect spot for brunch. Music outside, views and friendly staff. Tasker/ Shandy is a must try. Delicious!!

The food here is hit and miss; some was really good and some was just okay. The menu is HUGE! My husband loved the fried egg sandwich. I had the Carnitas fajitas. They were good, not great. People watching is the thing here! The service was very friendly and helpful. Loved the staff. They need to add some better wines by the glass, but the beer choices were good. I would go back--the burgers looked good!

This bar was really chilled out, not to bad price, nice cocktails! We didn’t have anything to eat but the the staff were friendly and the place was busy, good scope for people watching onto Venice Beach!

Located right off the beach on the boardwalk near Rose Ave. this is a nice little spot to grab lunch a people watch. The waiters were very friendly, seemed maybe under staffed but the 2 that were working were hard workers. The food was good, not a huge menu but had some different options. They serve several beers and most are served in large glasses for about $7. Musicians set up in front of the restaurant on the boardwalk, so there is live music non stop if you sit outside. The outdoor seating is an added plus on a beautiful California day.

This beach-side café has plenty of outdoor seating and is a good spot for an afternoon beer and watching the Venice Beach crowds go by. I stopped in with two others and we received quick, very friendly service, even though we were not ordering food, just a few beers. Other customers were very friendly as well. Tables were crowded, so we asked a couple if we could share their large table. They welcomed us and we had a nice visit before they left.

I enjoy coming here every year when I visit Venice beach. It's a nice little shabby bar and restaurant that is a perfect to get a bite to eat and people watch , which is never a let down in Venice. The staff is usually friendly, but it's a busy place so don't expect much attention, the food makes up for the wait, the Veggie burger is actually fabulous!

Delicious selection of beers. I had a grapefruit beer and my husband had some sort of stout... both were delicious. Food was average and overpriced. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and my husband ordered a brat sandwich. Nothing spectacular.. just, eh...

Stopped by on a week day for an early lunch and found out that they were also having a children's singalong in the court yard. Well we happened to have a 2-1/2 year old with us so it worked out perfectly. Entertainment was great for the toddler and we had beers and lunch while sitting in very nice courtyard.

I stopped in for a little bit while touring the area. Matt was my bartender and he was extremely hospitable and went out of his way to take care of me. Hilda, a manager, was also really kind. It was a great environment and a cool spot to grab a beer!

We went to this place two times during our recent three night stay. There are lots of happy hours in Venice but some of them aren't really great values and this one truly is especially if you like good beer. The Erdinger German beers are only $3.25 for 17 oz or $10 a 60 oz pitcher. Great views of the sunset. We had a giant pretzel each night - these are a tad pricey but soooo worth it. Comes hot and fluffy from the oven with butter and two kinds of mustard. The second night it was cool out and we had soups also from the happy hour menu - I had broccoli/cheese and my husband had the clam chowder. Both tasted fresh and you get a nice bowl with a basket of bread for about $5 bucks. We had great service on both visits too. Seemed like lots of the people knew each other so it may also be a locals hangout - seemed very friendly and casual.

We had lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it, BLT sandwiches were well done, generous and fresh, the clam chowder was so good, it reminded me of our vacation at the northeast, The staff is nice. It was fun to have lunch under an umbrella in a rustic outdoors setting. Price wise, we feel it was fair.

I would not write a review for this cafe. but I enjoyed it very much. The onion rings are very successful with spectacular Erdinger beer. The important issues while sitting, you listen to great jazz music from the other side of the street performers venice beach. smiley-faced people and good service.

Absolutely LOVE this seaside Euro Brew Emporium! Happy Hour is amazing and comes with a free & spectacular sunset. Also included is one of the great VB sidewalk spots for bands right out front. If you like German beer or decent Vino at a great price RUN don't walk to On The Waterfront!

Great spot for taking a break and still being able to watch the activity pass by. Food was better than average but the perfect place to take a break on the beach!

We popped along here for brunch. The food was very good and the service was one of the friendliest we had whilst in L A. It's also nice because it's situated right on the boardwalk, so you can just sit there and watch the world go by or in the evening watch the sun go down.

I did not have food here, but the drinks and atmosphere is definitely what we were looking for - a casual beach drinking day. The staff and manager were very accommodating to our large party.

The people watching is like a never ending circus going by. Rose Avenue and the Boardwalk is the heart of the action. The great thing about this place is the parking lot at the end of Rose which is directly across the street from the restaurant.

This is a great spot, right on the front. Excellent service from really friendly staff and a decent lunch menu too. The portions are good and there is a good choice of European beers. If you're lucky then there will be a live band playing on the street outside like there was when we visited, really adds to the atmosphere!

Had lunch here while walking the promenade on a beautiful sunny day. Sat inside to stay cool. Beer and fried fish and shrimp were good. Beer was cold and local. Service fine. And we could see straight out to the promenade and the beach from our table for two! Perfectly good lunch choice at Venice Beach.

Front Beach restaurant bar and breakfast place with a great Ocean view, good sandwiches at breakfast and we had a great dinner as well. The espresso was really strong but good to wake up. Cool staff

If you're walking along the Venic Beach boardwalk, make sure you stop and have a beer (or two) here. There's a great selection, great atmosphere, and tons of great people watching as you enjoy your beer with a delicious pretzel!

Good Brunch. Cute spot. They messed up one of our orders and he didn't get his food until we were all finished. We waited until our food was getting cold. Otherwise good service, food & location. I would go back.

Food was ok, we tried a green salad and shrimp tacos. Probably didn’t try enough to properly review. Service was friendly. Noise a little high.

Located just across from the beach, this place is one of the best "watering holes" in the area. After baking yourself in the sun for hours, if you don't want to risk a hefty fine for having beer on the beach then this is your life saving alternate. Tasty beer, the popular Erdinger Weissbier but also the dark Kostritzer, so cold and fresh, yummy! It is a nice, relaxed and friendly vibe in the beer garden, everybody is in good mood. The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists of all ages, from kids to seniors. It may be a challenge to get an individual table on a week-end day, but you can always share a long table on the patio. The food is so-so, pretty good to go along with the beer. The giant pretzel is the crowd favorite. Mozarella sticks, french fries and nachos are also good choices. Pizza and wings are not that great here, sorry. Service is fast and helpful. Overall the right place at the right time for your needs. Too bad there are not more in along Santa Monica Beach.

The food was really good, tons of great beer options, a neat outdoor seating area, great atmosphere and fantastic staff. It's a great place to people-watch and relax for a bit and we even saw a celebrity! The table, menu and floor were sticky, though. Would be 5 star if it weren't for that

This bar was a great stop in our walk along Venice Beach. They have a range of European and American beers and serve it well. There was a fun but noisy band outside but we were able to move to the quieter shady patio. All in all a lovely hour on a hot afternoon.

Having walked from the Santa Monica pier to Muscle Beach and on way back we stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Chicken salad for my wife which was fine with enough chicken and avo in it. Burger and chips ok as burgers go but nothing special. Still ok to have a rest and watch the crowds walk by. Passable drinks menu with few beers on tap. Bill for two mains and couple of Corona's plus soft drinks USD49.

Stopped in after a day at the beach and ordered up a cold beer and a pretzel. Sit on the patio- it's the best place to people watch. Super casual/divey place. The pretzel is amazing and the beer is perfection! It was a pretty quiet afternoon so the server was attentive. Definitely a must stop when in Venice!

Great location, right on the boardwalk. The beer was good, but the food was terrible. I ordered spaetzl with wurst and my partner ordered a pepperoni pizza, both served swimming in grease. $100 later the pitcher of beer was empty, but we left the food mostly untouched.

Stopped in for a snack while walking the boardwalk. My table by the boardwalk had great people watching and a nice view. Grabbed a basket of fries and an Arnie Palmer. Fries were cooked perfectly. Nice spot to grab a snack.

Loved this place for a beer or drink but the food was just average. Had a burger and pasta. But if you're just after a snack and an informal place for a beer in the sun? Go for it!

Typical of the area full of local culture! Great beers and good food. Excellent place for people watching! Local pavement band very noisy but most patrons seemed to enjoy it.

we have just recently taken our group of students here - stefan and his staff were fantastic in having our meals out on time. We had just under an hour and they were fantastic. the fresh pastas and salads, chicken with mushrooms was all delicious. Would definitely head back here again. Thanks so much

This place is right on the boardwalk in venice, so we stopped in for a cold beer after walking all over venice and back. the waiters were fast and the beer was cold and tasty. they had a live street band in front of the place and the guys perform songs for tips. so it is a cool place to hang out and chill. just drank cold beer here but i seen alot of people eating fresh pretzels and assorted hamburgers and fries as well!!!!!!!

We had really great food, good service and really tasty beer. A little bit of the venice beach goofballs but the staff controlled well. The seating was not great, they should invest a little in better chairs. We had a pretzel appetizer that was really good.

Yummy food, good service. The place is large, though doesn't look it from boardwalk. Place is packed weekends with long lines to get in Food is well prepared with just the right combination of ingredients.

Best spot in Venice for watching sunsets and having a German Hefeweizen. Food is good, beer is excellent and spot is perfect. A must be place for Venice. Try the Schnitzel or the Penne Bolognaise with some Erdinger. Yummy!
Best beer at Venic beach!
The best part of this restaurant is that they serve our favourite beer, Erdinger. We were out bike riding, on the most wonderful sunny day in March, during our California spring break vacation, and were delighted with this little cafe. Great outdoor seating, great people watching, beach right there. Live street music and great Venice beach atmosphere. Kids ordered pizzas and they were HUGE. I had a wonderful tomato/boccoccini salad. Was nice to dine with both locals and tourists. One of our best dining experiences on our seven day California vacation.
