We went to celebrate a birthday and job promotion. What a spectacularly beautiful place. We had an early reservation and were taken to our table upstairs promptly on time. Our waitress was terrific. She explained a lot about the restaurant and menu. There are a lot more exotic drinks on the menu than food. The drinks are really works of art with beautiful edible garnishes. We started with a Pu-Pu Platter. It's a mix of some really interesting foods: Taro Tots with coconut ranch dressing (delicious), chicken wings (very tasty but a little too hot for my taste), barbecue beef skewers (awesome), little riblets (marvelous), crab rangoon (fabulous) and interesing house pickles. After devouring one Pu-Pu Platter, we ordered another and that ended up being the dinner for the table of four. A truly unique place. They turn the lights out when delivering a huge drink with dry ice smoking in it to any table. Service was really excellent and attentive. This place isn't cheap. All the drinks are expensive and the Pu-Pu Platter is $65. It was worth it though because everything was really very tasty and the experience was quite memorable.

So this place literally told me they could not hand me a menu because their menus are hand made and too fancy to just be handing me to look at. Lazy rude. "Go online and check out the food menu if you want to see the menu." Very rude. That was from your new male GM and female manager when I asked what they serve. I will not be back on any occasion to be spoken to so poorly. Owners please fix your management problem. I cancelled any plans I had to bring people here.

this is such a fun spot. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you have entered a different world. Their staff is nice. We tried Pain Killer and Cobra Kai cocktails. Pain Killer definitely tasted like a cheap bar rail drink but Cobra Kai was nice.

This is always a great experience. The owners really nailed the tiki drinks and it's a must-visit for tiki enthusiasts. it isn't cheap, but always worth it. The food is what you'd expect from a tiki bar with pupu plates and skewers.

Came here for the first time on a date and the environment was great. We sat at the bar and contrary to other reviews, I honestly found the service to be pretty good! The drinks were unique and delicious.

This was an awesome surprise. Met some friends for drinks and I must say it was an incredible experience. The tiki bar experience includes sounds and lights and overall was just a treat for all senses. Bar food was delicious and the drinks superb. definitely coming back when I am back in Austin!

Awesome food, awesome service, awesome atmosphere! Definitely would recommend and definitely will go again! Perfect!

This is probably the coolest, most unique experience I’ve had at a bar! From the moment you enter, you’re on an expedition with a Travel Agency. The entire place offers an incredible attention to detail, not only with the décor, but the lights, sounds and acting by all the staff as well. We were told to order a shared drink, so we got the rum bucket and it has the best of all their shows… the entire place goes dark, the sounds get louder and louder and the server sprinkles cinnamon on the drink, causing eruptions of sparks to fly from the flaming drink. They have a decent small plate menu too. The items we tried were tasty and enjoyable. Prices are slightly high and you definitely need a reservation before coming, as this place seems to stay packed. But it’s highly recommended, especially for those visiting from out of town!

WILD ride, this place! It’s a full immersive experience and VERY fun! So don’t go if you’re fighting w anyone in your group lol 😆 I made this resy a month out so keep that in mind too and once we go there everything was great! Food was good, and drinks were great too, 10/10

I love coming to this tiki bar. Not only are the drinks delicious, the food is excellent, too. The ambiance is great and loads of fun. Do not skip it! Oh and prices are pretty reasonable, too.

It's funny that this restaurant is hard to get reservations for......bc the food tastes like dog food. Literally. Waitress.....horrible. Manager....horrible. Ambiance.....whatever with a bit of a pungent smell. Thank God I brought some saltines, otherwise I would have starved to death. Also, pay close attention to your bill....especially the drink orders. Little Honey Pie back there likes to pad your bill. And I hate these places that provide you an electronic bill, which starts with 30% tip. Excuse me? hello? How about 5% tip. That is what you and your dog food are worth.
Waste of time and money
I wish I had the time or cared enough to write down specifically why this place is SO awful. Just another example of bandwagon behavior. This guy Tatsu Aikawa has been Annointed and so he can do no wrong. Mr. Aikawa - PLEASE, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS DECENT - PLEASE teach your staff some basic hospitality. PLEASE.
