Good Food

By SmartGenius |

The food here is good I would say that it’s just basic nothing too fancy but did meet our needs for eating.

Ok

By ajpm18 |

Wanted to check this place as reviews seemed solid but wasn’t impressed. Strong selection of food but when I received my order was just ... ok. Ordered a beer and was disappointed when it came out warm.

Absolutely horrible

By MammaMelly |

We had a group of ladies in town for a Boutique convention and didn’t even get a water for one hour! We received chips and salsa one hour after placing the order before getting any drinks from the bar. When we confronted the staff, they were very very rude. It was a horrible experience. Very disappointed.

Decent enough

By bcslider |

We had a decent size group, mostly just drinking. Bartender was good...place wasn't crowded while we were there so that's good. I personally didn't eat, but saw some food that did look good.

Good in a pinch

By Matthew P |

Is a nice place with lots of TVs to watch your sporting events/news/etc. Food was good, but certainly nothing to write home about. Service was very nice and welcoming - albeit a little slow as I was in a rush. It's a good spot if you want to watch the game and have some texmex food.

They took care of 60 people after a soccer game right before closing

Amazing staff and food. Angel is as good as his name. Recommend this place for kid friendly and large party needs as well as for a good time in general. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Great Food...No Service

By K G |

First and foremost, the food and drinks were fantastic! I had 3 different tacos, the executive and 2 Fajita Bandidas - shrimp and chicken and a Thin Lizzy Margarita. Let me say again, the food was wonderful! The poor rating is from being completely ignored by our server after being seated. In fact, we never met our server. It was 9pm on a Thursday night. There were some customers, but Tin Lizzy’s was not busy by any means. A young woman was sweeping up around the tables near our booth. She saw we hadn’t been helped, so she came over and said she would take our drink order. She said our server would be over to take our order. Ok. Cool. She brought our drinks over and asked if our server made an appearance. No, no one had been by. She looked over to the other side of the restaurant and said the server would be by soon. 5 minutes later the young lady came back to see if we put in our order. No, no we hadn’t. No one stopped over. She took our order. Anyways, the food was great, which is why we were so disheartened by the service. Unfortunately, no one came by after we had eaten, so 20 minutes after we finished eating, I got up to find someone- - anyone- -to bring our check. I asked a woman dressed like a server to have someone bring our check. She looked over to the other side of the restaurant and said someone would bring it over. Sigh....10 minutes later, the manager came over with the check, and gave us a 25% discount for the amount of time we waited for the food.... ummmm, how about we never saw our server once! The booth next to us had a server and got checked on regularly. One is left only to speculate why our server never came. Though the food was great, there are several other places with great food and the service killed any thoughts of returning. The young lady sweeping the floor was outstanding and should be a server. Whomever our server was, should not continue as one.

Excellent food, good value

By Jim B |

I was impressed. This place was almost empty the night I ate there, but the service was good and the quality of my meal (the shrimp) surprisingly good. I highly recommend Tin Litzy's.

Very Nice Surprise!

By Karen J |

We had a great waiter and the selection of tacos was rather vast. I ordered the southern comfort taco and the super Greek. My son got the southern comfort, the fish taco, and the super Greek. Since he picked three his came with beans and rice. The chips and salsa was very good. The chips tasted like they were made in-house, nice, warm, crispy, thin, and light. I wish we had found it earlier!

Decent Food, Slow Service

By TGAllen |

We arrived to find the host stand unattended for at least five-six minutes. Our server was so incredibly slow and not prepared to anticipate the guests needs. It took half an hour to get our orders taken, a drink from the bar, and had to ask for chips and salsa. The food was good though, but the restaurant needs a manager who can train and execute.

Affordable Eats in Downtown Atlanta

By Jay B |

Tin Lizzy's offers a very airy and open interior. This place doesn’t feel like most Mexican restaurants, really fun vibe with booth seating available. We wanted a cocktail and had the margarita that was the $5 special. It was really great on the rocks. They offer several chips and dips combos. The chips are lightly seasoned and crisp. We settled on the queso blanco (white cheese) and guacamole, outstanding! Their menu offers a great and unique selection of soft tacos. We sampled the Fajita Bandida, Southern Comfort and Grilled Portabella tacos, all very good! They serve the tacos in clever “v” shaped dishes to help keep them in one piece as you eat. They are in a great location in the heart of downtown near America’s Mart and the Peachtree Mall and other attractions. As a bonus to the great food and service, they are much more affordable than most downtown restaurants!

Waaaaay better than expected

By A B |

I was shocked at the quality and freshness of the food. They just gave us the chips and salsa and said try it. I never like chips and salsa but theirs was great. New taco spot on deck

Decent Tex Mex with Ok Service

By ddmullis |

I held a business dinner for a group of 35 folks. The setup was arranged nicely for the dinner. They served a taco and nachos buffet. The food was decent however nothing special Overall the service was decent although long waits at time to get alcoholic drinks refilled Prices was reasonable

Awesome value for money

By Mathieu M |

Loved our dinner here. Prices are very good for delicious cocktails and meals. Our table tasted 6 different tacos and 3 were a grand slam (chicken con queso, my favorite, with gyro and Philly steak), 2 were delicious and only one slightly disappointing given how good the others were. Overall, a terrific casual option I’d recommend on the area compared to other options nearby.

Typical Tex-Mex

By Travelcritic78 |

Noisy, high energy, low cost, under staffed, (couldn't get water from the waitress so stood at the bar for ten minutes), average quality.

No Complimentary Chips & Salsa?

By knucklebusted |

Back home, chips and salsa are brought to the table before you can order drinks. This place didn't. Maybe it is an Atlanta thing. The tacos are $4 a piece and up. Sides are separate. My wife had one cheese steak taco and I had a grilled chicken taco with rice and beans. The food was good and service was decent and friendly but she forgot our limes for our water. I would go back again.

Awesome

A nice lunch break

By AJHORL |

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much came here on TH and FRI during a 4 day conference. They offer a wide variety of soft tacos to satisfy a wide variety of tastes. Tried the beer battered lobster, the executive and the buffalo shrimp soft tacos. Each were very good. Same with the chips and guac for a starter. Listen, if you’re wanting a fancy place, this isn’t for you. If you like good food, variety, a fun atmosphere all at a reasonable price, you won’t be disappointed.

It was OK

By By_His_Grace |

Three of us went here for dinner. My wife picked it out. She and our friend liked their food better than I like the tacos I ordered. They were OK but difference between them and ones from Taco Bell was definitely not worth the difference in price.

“Deep in the Heart of Atlanta “

By HARTCREEK |

Simply great food! Found this on google maps close to hotel. In town for the Natty 2018! We had some of the best TexMex food ever. Have been to Dallas/ Houston hotspots with Tin Lizzy’s being second to none! Chips seasoned with in- house “chip salt” accompanied with great guacamole, queso, and the best green chilies salsa. Benchmark! Followed with Korean bbq and Santa Fe tacos. Really good. Flavor city! Margaritas topped it off. Service was as good as the food. Plan on second visit before we leave town!

Popular taco and drinks spot

By Stuart S |

Nice ambiance, friendly staff, great tacos. Place is only open in the evening and is very popular, so you may need to make reservations

Very good, unique Tex Mex

By Cindy B |

Love their chips and salsa and unique variety of tacos that include feta and blue cheese.the person I was with thought everything was too spicy, but not me. Enjoyed it all

Lots of unique choices!!

By Lori W |

Yummy!! We started with the Amigo trio, which came with white cheese sauce, salsa, and guacamole - and a huge basket of seasoned, warm tortilla chips. They were not too thick and not too thin. All three dips were bigger than we expected and extremely tasty. We decided to wait until after the chips to order. They have many single tacos to order from, and you can order three for a set price and get beans and rice. Tacos can be ordered in flour or corn tortillas. Selections included many chicken, shrimp - buffalo, Asian, or fajita; several steak versions, lobster and vegetarian, to name a few! I had the Asian gulf shrimp and my husband had the fajita steak - nice normal size, stuffed and delicious!! They have many other appetizers and entrees. All at a reasonable price compared to the local hotel food. Lots of drink specials and selections. We will be back! All was delicious.

Yummy!

By S I |

The nachos were delicious. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great food and great service. We had a confusing order with some orders dining in and some order to go and they kept it all straight and the whole group enjoyed their food.

Worse than Horrible

By Chizzle |

Awful service, customer service was non existing. When we walked in, nobody greeted. In stead a guy asked "do you need something?" What kind of service is this? If I was a manager, this guy would be fired immediately. Then we asked if we could look at Menu, the guys were just ganging out, nobody even paid any attention or anything, Horrible. When we decided to stay and eat, we had to ask for a table. Hostess was so rude, no friendliness, I wonder how she can even hold that position. Very very rude. Food was okay. I ordered tortilla soup. It was cold. Salad was good. Waitress was okay, but when we went up to the bar to pay, because waitress didn't come, the bartender said "what this?"...... WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE,!!!!!!!!! Oh, and waiters and waitresses don't wear uniforms or name tags so you won't know who work there.

Incredible Tacos and Fantastic Service

By Erika C |

My husband and I visited Tin Lizzy's on a whim, as it was just up the road from the hotel we were staying at, and we're so glad we did. We were seated quickly, and our waitress Junie was absolutely amazing. She asked if we had ever been there before, and gave us recommendations of her favorites along with some of the popular choices. She checked in on us to make sure that we were enjoying our mixed drinks and our food, and was overall super friendly and helpful. We each started with two tacos: I got the Korean BBQ and the Grilled Mahi Mahi, and my husband got the Low Country Boil and the Korean BBQ as well. They were -so- good we had to try some more. I ended up getting a Fried Chicken taco, and he got an Executive along with the Chicken Con Queso. We've been to a lot of taco places, and these tacos were some of the best we've ever had. I highly recomend getting the Fried Chicken taco, it seems sweet and simple at first glance, but it was so incredibly flavorful. It was definitely my favorite of the ones I had. With the tacos being so good, we wanted to try their cheesecake for desert, (which sadly had already sold out for the night.) Junie then suggested trying the 6 layer chocolate cake, and oh my gosh it was absolutely delicious. We were very impressed by the quality and flavor of the food, and really happy with the friendly service. :) I wish we were in Atlanta a little longer so we could've visited again!! Definitely would love to come back next time we're in the area.

Fun with great food!!

By RML1995 |

Wonderful place with great tacos and drinks!! Fun place with great music and tv’s but it is loud. Service was a little slow but worth it.

Great value

By Candleligh |

Tacos are five dollars each. I had the mani magi and then a steak and mushroom one. Steak one was excellent well seasoned and so good. Did not care for their chips and salsa as chips heavily seasoned with a salty hot spice on them. Service very slow but overall I would go back.

Great lunch and great service

By 667curtist |

Just had a great lunch at Tin Lizzys. We order chips, cheese dip, guacamole, and salsa as a appetizer, this could of easily feed 4 of us as a great appetizer. I also order The hot mess skillet, it was really good and fresh as well. To top off the food we had a great server named Jason that really gave us some great info on the local food/bar scene. Would highly recommend!

Avoid

By pundit705 |

Horrible service. Left without ordering even though I told the server twice that I was ready to order. The server was more interested in taking another drink order from intoxocated patrons that arrive after me. Instead I left with a dirty suit and $20 dry cleaning bill from some tar-like substance that was spilled no the restaurant.

Unique taco selection

By kbed303 |

Loved the mix and match tacos. You pick three, and they come with a side of beans and rice. The taco selection was unique, including everything from buffalo chicken to fried chicken and fried pickles. The bartender was fantastic and personable; EXCEPTIONAL service.

Fantastic

By Kvacay |

Loved our food and drinks here. Stopped in on the way to the Atlanta United game and seriously was surprised. Good food, nachos had lots of toppings and loaded with liquid cheese. The tacos were good some really unique choices but I went with chicken and beef so i wasn’t adventurous but they were great. This is divided into a bar seating area and dining area.

Best customer service

By gar006075 |

We received the best customer service at this restaurant than any other we visited while in Atlanta. They were friendly and attentive even though we were wearing opposing team attire (this seemed to be an issue for service in other restaurants).

Food mostly average but excellent service

By Lives4Travelling |

Dined here yesterday evening. We ordered chips with salsa rojo and we each had a taco with a side of rice and beans. The chips were some of the best we've ever had at a Mexican restaurant - warm, thin and crispy with a great seasoning and not greasy at all. The salsa roja was not to our liking. It was very bland and the tomato sauce consistency was off putting. The tacos (mine was a chicken fajita and his was a chicken classic) were under seasoned and bland as was the rice and beans. They all really needed seasoning and a bit more spice to liven them up although the ingredients were fresh. I really liked my "THE JUICE IS WORTH THE SQUEEZE" margarita - very good. Our server Aleah was the tops!! She was super attentive and personable and brought us everything we needed!

Kayla was amazing!!! Attentive and was able to handle a last minute party of 17! Great attitude. Food was delicious. Kayla made sure she was vocal and clear about where our order was and even split the tab for us!!!!

Keep the receipt in case you get foodpoisoning

By yvonne s |

My son, aged 10, got the most awful foodpoisoning and was up all night throwing up in the hotel just two hours after eating here. This was particularly great as we had just flown in from London that day so we were exhausted, and we stayed up all night holding him while he puked in the bath. He said the chicken on the children's menu tasted funny but I thought he just meant it tasted spicy. I soon discovered we were wrong. He was sick for at least a couple of days. It really spoilt a special family Xmas trip. When we went to the restaurant to let them know the manager didn't seem to care what had caused it, or seem keen to look into it--for us or for future guests. He said the manager wouldn't even give us a refund if we hadn't kept the receipt. So if you eat here, keep the receipt in case you get very sick.

Fun place

By Mary Ellen W |

The atmosphere is fun and our waiter was great. The food is good but a bit overpriced. If you are nearby and need a place to eat, it is fine, but I don't know that I would go out of my way to eat here. I had flautas and they were good but average.

Food good and bad, music is TOO LOUD!!!

By Nighthawk416 |

Some friends and I went to this restaurant at a high-volume time of the weekend. I've never been to a Tin Lizziy's before but I've heard about it. We were able to get seated in about 25 minutes which was not bad. We had a toddler with us and they offered a high chair though we didn't need one. The music was very, very, very loud. We couldn't hear each other talk, we couldn't hear the waitress, she couldn't hear us. It was a real chore to communicate. Eventually the music really began to annoy the child and we had to take her out multiple times. The food was equivocal. We ordered a triple dip appetizer, which was great. I had a steak quesadilla which was outstanding,. My friends ordered tacos and did not think they were very good at all. They didn't even eat them all. I don't drink beer but in ordering beer, there were a lot of "we don't have that" answers. The server was there only occasionally. It wasn't easy to get anything done and it was slow. The noise alone will keep me from visiting here again.

Unique Mexican Food

By Mdl99344 |

Excellent selection of beer. The chips had some type of seasoning on them? I would have preferred them plain. The salsa, guacamole and queso was very good. The tacos had an orange sauce on them? I would have preferred them plain. Also they did not offer ground beef tacos. I felt like the menu was limited and I will probably not go back to this restaurant. Others in my party felt the restaurant was average.

A Cantina With Horrible Margaritas?!

By Mrs_Ware229 |

My husband hyped me up to go here. We arrived around 3... not many people. The bar was dirty but we sat there. There is a limited bar selection. I ordered the beach bum margarita... it should be called juice bum. The plus is that the fried jalapenos were great. #disappointed

Overrated

By Ricardo S |

I ate at Tin Lizzy's in downtown Atlanta. Ample, organized and clean space. Immediate, friendly and efficient service. For appetizer, a Margarita, well prepared, to accompany nachos with guacamole. The nachos are very good, they come warm, well seasoned. The guacamole was also quite acceptable. For main course BBQ chicken and goat cheese Salad. It was not bad but it's also nothing special. The intense flavor of BBQ sauce "suffocates" the flavor of any other ingredient in the dish. Excessive price per person for a chain of restaurants, almost € 20 per person

Dirty restaurant

By Sulmx |

Super dirty restaurant. Bad attitude from the hostess. None of the waiters approached us to ask for ordering. Nasty table... not clean. Nasty floors. We had to leave. One of the worst restaurants we have ever been

Cinco De Mayo

By ewallace100 |

stopped in early for a taco and margarita. Service was friendly, but the taco was nothing special- I was let down.

Good Contemporary Mexican Southwest Fusion

By gregoryg92 |

Clean, fast, high quality food in a noisy clean urban enviroment the food is typical Mexmessy so I would avoid this place in a suit.

Perfect!

By Culinaristje |

Delicious Mexican meals. Good and fast service and very friendly staff. The menu is clear and the dishes are tasty and fresh. The price quality is very good! I was very impressed with this restaurant. Keep it up!

Not a great atmosphere

By Amanda C |

Look- I like some good music and a fun time as much as the next person- but at 4:30pm the music in the bar doesn’t need to be so loud that I cannot hear the waiter talking to me and when the bass plays my salt shaker vibrates across the table. Also-our waitress only came by three times- which means I almost never had a drink. Also, our table was basically in front of a door so we got to eat with 100 of our closest friends who were going in and out of that door. This was my first time going here- the food was great, but I probably won’t be back.

Customer Service Needed

By Kathy G |

Server tried to talk us out of what we wanted to order. Food was delivered to our table that contained part of what we ordered. The food was removed and taken to the correct table even after I touched the plates. Had to track down utensils, napkins, and our server to pay the bill.

Boooooo! Bad service

By Jennifer W |

I really hate to give bad reviews but we are visiting from Texas and came in for lunch break during a conference. The waiter was rude, slow, and seemed very bothered to serve our table. Will say the food was Very good, chicken nachos and shrimp skillet. Maybe eating at the bar would have been the better choice? No Atlanta hospitality at Tin Lizzy's

Sunday Funday

By Krystal M |

Tonight was a completely random dinner choice, but hands down a terrific one thanks to our waitress Shea, and TL’s manager, Logan. We initially entered the restaurant waiting for someone to seat us, but was told by the bartender that their host called in sick this evening... enter Shea. Without hesitation, she quickly grabbed us menus and showed us to our table for the night. My partner and I ordered a few starters - all fantastic! Especially the grilled chicken nachos. So much flavor and freshness. The manager, Logan brought over my margarita (only $6!) and was such a joy to joke around with, all while making sure our food was up to standard. Thank you ladies for making an unexpected night out a fun one. Your hospitality is greatly appreciated. We will be back for Taco Tuesday to try the specialty tacos.

Good food, good value!

By Travelnut1965 |

Kayla is terrific -- great service. The menu is very nice, great options, reasonable. Convenient location to AmericasMart and several downtown hotels.

Good Food and Service

By Steven D. C |

The food was good. The Thai Basil was absolutely dreamy. My only recommendation is that "mule" offerings should be served in a copper cup or call them something else—otherwise this is not a mule.

Take out

By 63Kathyd |

We ordered take out and it was great. Told them how many people we had and they got the amount of food right- except for tons of extra chips but they get eaten Anyway. Everything was fantastic

a must try on peachtree

By Candeeluve |

was working in the downtown area, peachtree center, wanted to try something new in the city and glad I came here. the feel of the restaurant is kind of relaxed. had enough seating that there was no wait even during the busy lunch hour. they serve all sorts of tacos but I didn't try that. I had the A HOT MESS dish, was basically loaded tater tots. came with pulled pork, queso blanco, slaw, bbq sauce. next time i'm in town would definitely try this restaurant again.

Horrible

By Adrian W |

Drinks- horrible Service- horrible I did not enjoy my service at all. My water was even nasty and my waitress took forever to bring me a lemon and lime to make the tap water better. Absolutely unhappy with my experience.

Amazing food

By YannickZoldermans |

This place offers some amazing food. It’s Mexican fusion. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s definitely worth a visit. Prices are oke to.

Horrible Service, Limited Menu

By Meowy |

Was in town for business and went here on a recommendation from a local. Huge mistake. We waited for quite a while to be seated. Once we were the waiter took forever to get back to us for our order. If I was by myself I would have left already. The menu itself is very limited. I think this is the only Mexican restaurant that doesn't serve a single burrito. The waiter took our order and got our drinks wrong. The food itself is unmemorable. Nothing great, but didn't cause gastric distress, so a small victory. We were getting ready to pay when the waiter asked us if he accidentally gave us an extra credit card because he lost one of the other patron's credit cards! We told him we didn't even attempt to pay yet, but would surely pay with cash! Horrible place to eat at. Avoid at all costs.

just average

By Linnea O |

The first time I ate at Tin Lizzy's I really enjoyed it, since then I think it is just so-so or average. The food is a bit expensive for what I think should be charged, the chips are typically over seasoned and the meal is average. I love Mexican-American food so for me it is somewhat hard to mess up, if that helps you decide.

Fun place

By Randee B |

Staying at the Westin to avoid hurricane Irma this place was down the road...friendly young staff, casual atmosphere and surprisingly good tacos (recommend the shrimp taco and steak taco) fried pickles also good..margaritas were great..sports on tv and a cool DJ one night...a pleasant surprise in an otherwise standard mediocre joints area (Hooters and Hard Rock being 2 nearby places) would visit this place again

YUM!

By SGSvo |

A group of colleagues and I stopped in and were all happy with the food and service. Everyone was friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious. I had the fried chicken taco and wished I had ordered two or three!

Ok food but nothing special

By Kinalat |

Based on positive reviews from TripAdvisor and recommendations from locals, we decided to try Tin Lizzy's for our last evening in Atlanta. Maybe we went in with too high expectations but the restaurant and food failed to impress. The food was ok: I had two tacos, the Philly Steak (tasty!) and the Santa Fe (ok) while my dining companion had the lobster taco (so-so) and the mahi-mahi on salad (ok). However most of the items on the menu were variations of several basic dishes. Also our table felt a bit sticky. The ambiance was so-so. 4 to 5 TV screens around us kept showing various sporting events. As I'm not a sports person, I found the broadcasts a bit boring, if not even a bit annoying.

Very Good Mexican

By Paul R |

Went here because I wanted something simple and easy for dinner with good drinks. Tin Lizzy's did not disappoint. The food was good and the drinks were good. I had the fried pickles and three tacos. All very good. And the margarita was very good. A good value for the amount of food.

Great selection of tacos!

By Bob H |

First off, service was great! Polite, friendly and always smiling! Had the tacos! There were plenty of different kinds to choose from. Went with the fried fish, chicken and beef brisket. All were amazing! Perfect size. I would go again for sure!

Yummy tacos

By Joy T |

Great tacos, good, safe location, and reasonably priced. The tacos were unique and tasty. Our service was a bit slow and neglectful but he was friendly and did d his best. We sat outside which was nice and good for conversation. Looks like they have a good happy hour and maybe an active night life spot.

No Señor

By Bellasarius |

We headed to Tin Lizzy's on a whim, it was close to the hotel and whenever me and my 3 amigo's travel for work we always try to head to a Tex Mex place, its kind of a tradition. We got in the place around 4.00pm and it was empty so we sat at the bar and took a look at the menu. Not a very large menu but it looked like it covered most of the staples, we ordered 3 margaritas and thought about it for a while. And thought more about it and waited. And waited.... Then the bartender got on her cell phone and so we waited some more. We finally got our drinks and quickly ordered steak nacho's and figured that would be it for tonight. When we got the nacho's they were pretty good, plenty of steak and the fixings were fresh, but we'd made a decision to split and go somewhere else, and i'm glad we did as some local's dropped in and although the place was empty proceeded to yell as if there was a band playing. So this on top of slow service did it for us, shame really, i'd like it have tried some more food, but maybe next time......maybe i should order the drinks now...

Tin Lizzy's

By Gerard H |

Great meal. Our waitress was very pleasant and offered great input regarding options. Prices were below what we were expecting and the food was better than expected. Atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting.

Average nothing else to say

By Cheryle H |

I love my Mexican food and this was just average. They do have a large Taco selection. I got the Cantina Skillet which is steak in a cast iron on top of cheesy rice. The steak was a bit grisly and fatty. My Margareta came in a rock glass which was different but it was tasty just really small. The meal for a Skillet and one drink in a rock glass cost me over $30 with a tip. The service was average so I cant really say much about the experience.

Long wait, no food, jackhammers

By Sarah H |

Seriously my worst restaurant experience ever. Waited one hour to get in because it was recommended by the hotel concierge. We looked at empty tables the whole wait and was told they couldn’t seat people because they were understaffed. Should have left then. The food took a long time and then only 4 of the 7 of us received food. The jackhammering started about this time and continued nonstop the rest of the night. It was so loud it made conversation difficult and you could feel the vibration on the bench. The waitress said they have been working like this for months now. The rest of the food came after everyone else had finished eating. The food itself was good. The waitress was trying, but it was a sinking ship and she could only do so much. We did get the three late meals comped after asking for this.

Tacos and Margaritas

By Ckline95 |

Tin Lizzy’s is one of our favorites in the downtown Atlanta area. Taco selection is awesome and margaritas are great. Nothing better than hanging at the bar, drinking margaritas with a la carte tacos! Gets busy in the evening but early afternoon is excellent.

OK taco dinner

By #EnjoyingRetirement |

After a bad experience at a competitor we decided to eat at Tin Lizzy's. We were immediately greeted and taken to our table by the hostess at the door as we entered the restaurant. We were immediately greeted by our server Jared who inquired about drink orders. One person in our party wanted a frozen margarita which Jared replied that the while they had many different margarita's they didn't serve frozen ones. We ordered a beer and regular margarita. We ordered a plate of three little pigs nachos and everyone enjoyed them. Everyone enjoyed the different tacos they ordered. There was one little mix up as I ordered three different tacos and received only two. After telling Jared that I did not receive my full order he immediately brought out the missing one. The food was just ok as the fillings and tortillas weren't very warm Jared was friendly and efficient but didn't do anything to build a rapport with us. All in all it was an ok experience.

Hot taco’s!

By TheChoclateFactory |

Love this place. A lot of different taco’s you can choose from. I chose the classic with shrimps and jalapeños and a steak taco with blue cheese chunks. Both were crazy nice! On top of that a mildly hot margarita with green peppers and you are good to go!

Excellent service! friendly staff!

By cgdidier |

Visited this restaurant with my husband and the nachos with added mahi is excellent and the staff - very attentive! it was so good we went back the next day for take out!

Horrible service!

By Wendi V |

Our waiter was rude and we waited a really long time for cold food that was spicy with no refills on our drinks. No napkins or silverware and no waiter in sight for about 20 straight minutes.

Amateur Hour

By Jake R |

Went here for dinner with some friends. There were four of us in the party on a Saturday night about 8 pm. The hostess said it would be an hour and a half wait. I got on the wait list. As I walked around to look at the restaurant I noticed several dirty empty tables. It looked like they did not have anyone bussing the tables. We went to the bar area to have a drink while we waited. The bar seemed understaffed for the crowd and the bartenders were very slow to take orders and make drinks. While we were standing there some people got up from the bar so we sat down and ordered drinks and food. My wife got the house margarita and I ordered beer. We ordered tacos for dinner. I was not impressed with the food. The tacos were just OK, nothing special. I guess I was just expecting more from a restaurant that appeared to be quality from the curb appeal and the crowd. I think it was just crowded because of the location and there isn't any other option for Mexican food nearby. I never even received a notification that my table was ready. Needless to say, I won't be going back there any time soon.

good restruant for a quick taco

By Justin Towne |

figured we would try this restaurant due to the good ratings. it has a limited menus and the selection is mostly tacos, americanized tacos and the ones we had were good. i had a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup and it was good. the chips and salsa were extra charge, which normally a mexican joint give you but here they charge you. they were good but should at least give you more the. the small bowl of salsa. service was good and place is clean.

Night out with the girls

By Stephanie A |

Great food! All 9 of us enjoyed our meals. Most of us tried different tacos. All of the tacos were filling and tasteful. I especially liked the chop-chop shrimp. The salsa, queso and chips were very good. Also one of us is gluten-free and the menu has plenty of options that are delicious. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our evening memorable!

Mmmmmmmmm

By Dennis K |

I wish I could eat more! Three different tacos. So fresh and so much flavor! Low country boil was out of this world. Also had the fried chicken and fried fish- both delish! RO was our server and she was also amazing. Can’t wait to visit again

Live DJ

By TLinds |

This was our second visit. The DJ played great music just like the first time we went. The bartenders were great and the drinks were great. This is a great place to listen to music and have a beverage. I did try the Southern Comfort taco. It was good. The guac and fried pickles were good as well.

Great!

By Elizabeth G |

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Very good food. Great staff. Good selection of items on the menu.

Average Mexican

By TXMARTINS |

Great service, but average food. The salad was soft iceberg with some cheese, tomatoes & a light amount of meat on top. The chips are great with a season salt & the queso standard. The TLC Margarita is strong & cheap. If you want great Mexican this isn’t the place, but if basic quick Mexican this will fit the bill.

Great Tacos!

By ScreenNameReally |

Ishmail was our server and he is damn good at what he does. We took his recommendation for the taco trio. The southern comfort and Philly cheesesteak tacos are very well done. Very reasonable prices and good quantity. We will def try them again

Our waitress should be a stand-up comedian

By psudino |

I wish I had the receipt from this meal so I could name her, but our waitress was freaking hysterical! We were there after a business meeting for dinner and I don't know how it got started but our waitress was making us laugh like crazy! Every time she came by, we are waiting for the next thing for her to say. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but what I remember the most is our hilarious waitress!

Taco Tuesday

By jlcarter1975 |

They have 5 different tacos on special for $2 each on Tuesday evenings. The tacos were flavorful and chocked full of ingredients. We both got three each and were not able to eat them all. Service was a little on the slow side. The manager was outside when we were looking at the menu in the window and she stated that she promised the food was good. She found us later and asked us about the food and where we were from. We spoke with her for several minutes. The manager was very friendly and outgoing. If you want some tacos, I'd say this is the place to go in Atlanta.

The tacos were very good!!

By Eva C |

The tacos were very good!! I was not expecting them to be this good. The Korean taco was a little bit of a disappointment, since I was expecting Korean spices like cochujan or other. Don’t get me wrong, they were delicious! I think the name is just misleading. Call them Asian tacos or sweet soy sauce, but not Korean tacos.

Great Tex-Mex, superior service

By Grant F |

Good downtown Atlanta location, Tin Lizzy's offers an interesting menu of tacos and pan meals that our party found very tasty. The noise level is a little high, but the service was great and the prices are quite reasonable.

Ok...but nothing spectatical

By Tonya B |

First... there is very little open in downtown Atlanta on the weekend. We made a reservation for 6 as we were at a large conference. I stood by the hostess desk for about 15 minutes just to check in and the server was not friendly at all. Our waitress did a good job. Food was OK, nothing spectacular. There were long waits for drinks, silverware and food. This was also the first Mexican restaurant that I have ever had to pay for chips. First pitcher of Margaritas was great, 2nd was awful and we waited almost 20 minutes for. Food was ok, but definitely would not go back to again!

Tin Lizzy's Cantina

Tin Lizzy's Cantina in Atlanta has delicious and flavorful food and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure you are well taken care of.

Last time to Tin Lizzy’s ....the menu is changed and disappointing

By Kristi H |

My husband and I LOVE Tin Lizzy’s until today. This might be the last time we come. They have completely revamped their menu and took off some of the best items. I personally love the “low country boil” soft taco and that is gone. So, I went a TOTALLY different route and tried one of the skillets today and I was bummed. The waitress was very sweet to take the skillet off our bill, bc they didn’t leave off the red peppers that I asked to keep off, but the experience is not the same. So, everything you might have loved about TL is changed and doesn’t do it for me anymore. Again, thankful that our waitress was very nice and we left her a nice tip. It’s not her fault.

OK tacos with some variety.

By theasp00 |

This is another place that's usually boasting a great staff when we go. The food is really just OK, but it's better than some of the other surrounding chains in my opinion, and you get some variety if you go with a few of the more inventive tacos. We usually stop in about once a year for Dragoncon and enjoy the downtime.

Their Mexican tapas are quite good.

By Mark D |

I had excellent service, the food was fresh, hot and tasty, and their taco sauce was perfect. If you want hot -- add some of their Tin Lizzy's hot sauce. This was the first time I've visited and I have no complaints whatsoever. I'm sure it gets very busy there, but eating at off times will certainly be a good experience.

Food is quite good, but they have problems with the service!

By LarsRo |

We went there very late Saturday night. Two tables were empty but it took the waitresses almost twenty minutes to seat two parties of guests. Then we waited for twenty minutes until we could get the attendance of the waitresses. A very friendly waitress helped us, despite the fact that our table wasn't hers. Anyway, she was very friendly and served us the food quite quickly. Without us having to argue, she knocked down the price by 25 % because of our extensive wait for service . So my feelings are mixed. Some waitresses are very, very slow and some are very nice, quick, friendly and service-minded.

Good veggie tacos

By Lauren W |

For a budget and time-friendly lunch, this hit the spot. I enjoyed the veggie tacos and gave the fried jalapeños to my co-worker and he enjoyed them. The tacos are small, so I would recommend getting 2 for a light lunch.

Quick service, great tacos & margaritas

By julia_robertson15 |

The variety of tacos offered was awesome, there's something for everyone. The margaritas were strong & delicious, and the food was made quickly and was delicious

Yummy and unique tacos and margs!

By 639rebeccal |

We just popped in here for lunch while wandering downtown. Thai Basil marg was amazing, order the chips and queso or guacamole! They have an awesome array of tacos, we tried a handful but they’re bigger than the street tacos we are used to so it was quite a bit of food! Monique was our server and was attentive and a delight! We would definitely go back if we visit again.

Excellent tacos. Sports bar feel.

By Rowena S |

Casual, informal dining. Friendly staff. My husband and I got a bit peckish around 4 PM. Tin Lizzy's Taqueria was on the way back to our hotel so we decided to stop in. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated at a large booth that was clean. They had Blue Moon on tap, so that's what I got. My husband had a Sprite. We ordered lobster tacos and a Korean BBQ taco. The tacos are priced individually so mix and match was possible, and if you're not that hungry, you can just order a single one. The lobster tacos were VERY good, and the Korean BBQ (which held a generous amount of meat) was also good according to my husband. The food was served in an acceptable amount of time, and our waiter was very friendly. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely return.

Mexican, margaritas and more!

By SoBelle27 |

Popped into Tin Lizzy's to wait out the horrendous 5:00 traffic. Glad we did - I started with a basil margarita which was one of the best margaritas I've ever had! Chips were light, warm with just the right spice. My friends and I tried several of the street tacos and all were very good. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. Next time I'm in the area, we will definitely try again.

YES ~ Go to Tin Lizzy's Cantina!

By SMEHancock |

We were in town for the CFP Championship game. Mexican is one of our favs, the restaurant was close to our hotel...so we made reservations. The place was packed and the carry-out business appeared to be brisk. I would recommend giving Tin Lizzy's a try. Lots of TVs, so you can even keep up with the game. Great vibe!

Hit or miss

By 4honeynugget |

The first night I sat at the bar, which was slow. After being ignored by bartender for five minutes the women next to me said she was having the same issue. So I left. Went back a few nights later and had Jason as our server. He was amazing and attentive. The food is good but not great. Like the service it seemed hit or miss. Nice space and one of the only places open in this part of town.

Great Service for a Large Group

By Just Being Christy |

We were in town with a huge high school group competing in a state level event. We were seated quickly and our service was prompt. Absolutely no issues with our orders - everything came out exactly as ordered (which is rare when there is such a large group). Food was delicious and our waitress was pleasurable and friendly. This is the 2nd year in a row we've been in town for this particular event and we also choose Tin Lizzy's to eat while here. Highly recommend this place for good food.

Campaigning for one of these in my town

By Mamahadley1 |

Our Irma evacuee group has visited this place several times in the past week. The Three Amigos appetizer is plentiful and tasty. The house margarita pitchers are yummy (though a bit weak - we need booze right now). All of the tacos we've tried have been fantastic. The service has been consistent but was particularly good at lunch today. We had a group of 9 and they were short-staffed because of the storm, but Antoine rocked it. I need a Tin Lizzy's (and an Antoine) in my town.

Great gathering spot

By mbink11 |

During my trip to Atlanta for the 2019 AHR convention, I invited clients to dinner. As the group continued to expand from 10 to 16 I found it hard to find a restaurant equipped to handle that size group. Tin Lizzy was able to seat us with no problem. We had the 2 long gathering tables in the bar area which was perfect. Lily was our server and awesome in handling all the food and drink requests! The food was great! The guacamole is good, and the margaritas excellent! For all of you finding yourselves in downtown Atlanta, try Tin Lizzy!

Delicious food and great value!

By JSoisse |

A group of us stopped here for lunch on Sunday after the Atlanta Half Marathon. We ordered the Three Amigos as an appetizer. We all had either tacos or the skillet. I asked our server for recommendations and she recommended the fried chicken tacos. They were absolutely delicious! The manager stopped at our table to ask how everything was as well. The service and food were fantastic.

No Service. Walk Out.

By Chris M |

After getting seated outdoors for lunch, waited 15 minutes with no sign of a server. Went inside and tracked down a server, who apologized that he didn't know anyone was out there--be right out. 10 minutes later, nothing. We walked out. On the way out, i tried to tell somebody we were leaving, no servers to be found. In fact, the hostess who seated us was frazzled, which should have been a clue, understaffed and/or poor servers. I give very few negative reviews, and this was only the second place I walked out of in my 50+ years.

Not your traditional Mexican Food

By mootooaj |

Arrived around 2:00pm and it was fairly empty. We picked our seat and were waited immediately. The waiter was super nice. We started out with salsa rojo that we ordered and it was not spicy at all. When requested some additional spicy sauce, they graciously brought us really hot sauce and once added to the salsa made it very spicy and tasty. There were four in our party and three of us ordered fajitas that were served in a cast iron deep dish skillet-different than other places we had been to. The rice was place at the bottom and topped with cheese sauce. Then the veggies, or meat, or shrimp was placed on top. There were options to add various types of veggies at no additional cost if one preferred. Some items were extra such as meats and cheeses. Some of the veggies were mixed with the rice while others were placed on top if vegetarian fajita. The skillets were served with the side of freshly cooked fajitas. There was more food than one could eat. We had ordered chicken, shrimp and veggies fajitas and all were excellent. There were plenty of shrimps and chicken to satisfy the person who ordered them. One person ordered three different types of shrimp tacos and she thoroughly enjoyed them especially the buffalo shrimp. The food was not spicy at all but tasted good. The waiter was very attentive and always there if we needed anything. Great service. Even the manager stopped by to make sure we were well taken care off. We shall return again.

A Mexican food must stop!

By Michelle |

We stopped here for lunch after a visit to the Georgia Zoo, and we were so happy we did! We enjoyed everything about Tin Lizzy’s. The selection of tacos was amazing - and in combinations I would have never thought of. We all enjoyed our meal, and would defiantly stop by again if ever in downtown Atlanta.

BEST EXPERIENCE

By Ronald S |

JT is the best manager to ever serve this place… Anias and Kennedy are who you should request during restaurant hours! Bar far thee best.!!! Also don’t forget about Bri Asheli and Laney!!! This three trifecta is also amazing as well!!!

Taco combos

By Mudfoot4 |

Loved the combination taco dinners, where you can mix and match three different tacos. I had chop chop shrimp, mahi mahi and tilapia, husband had low country boil, executive (with steak) and a third I can't remember. All were delicious. Was served fast and the cost was reasonable. Good selection of draft beers too. Wasn't super busy even during the NBA finals.

Way overpriced for what we got!

By Joy |

Our server was very sweet today, but wasn’t straight up with what we were ordering. I asked that she suggest a pitcher of margaritas shy wasn’t too pricey and we discussed the $21 pitcher that was on the menu. She then suggested that we order a strawberry/mango combo margarita. It tasted wonderful, but the pitcher was full to the rim of ice. We had 4 1/2 small margaritas (in a small glass, not a margarita glass) out of the pitcher. When we received our check the price was $40 for the pitcher of margaritas. This was WAY overpriced. My husband asked her if it was the correct price and she said yes. She was very nice, but we didn’t feel she was straight up about the prices. The food was just okay. The server disappeared once we were finished with our meal and we sat there for over 15 minutes before we saw her again when she brought the check. I think this is the first negative review I’ve ever written for TripAdvisor. Not trying to be negative, was just expecting more for what we paid.

Great food, reasonably priced

By A3701ENjenniferm |

Good food, big servings! I ordered a plate with three tacos, and I had a hard time finishing them. They were delicious, though.

Great Tex-Mex

By travelwilder |

We wanted Mexican for dinner! We walked from our hotel and saw Tin Lizzys. It Was great! The hostess was sweet and we waited less than 5 min for a table. Our waitress, Shay, was excellent! She answered all our questions about the menu options and even helped me decide on a tasty drink! She was quick and continued to check on us throughout our meal. We had the lobster tacos and shrimp n the skillet. Two delicious choices! We also started with chips and a duo of dips-salsa and queso with bacon! It was awesome! It was a fun atmosphere and excellent service! Food was fantastic and can’t wait to go again!

Delicious food, great service

By Michelle B |

My daughter was homesick for TexMex sp we asked the concierge to recommend a place and this was one of his recommendations. We started with the queso and salsa duo. Blanco queso and rojo salso. Very good! The chips had a chili powder type seasoning on them that we liked. I had the steak fajita quesadillas. They were very good. The bell peppers were sliced a bit big for my taste but still good. My daughter ordered the chicken con queso. She thought she was ordering soft tacos but missed the part about it being fried chicken. She said it was good but just not what she was used to. All in all would recommend. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Also they had great southern sweet tea.

Priced right..good

By Sonny_circumvehor |

A stumble across by accident location, was wonderfully surprised.. 3 speciality tacos for 10.50...Mmmmm greek tacos... Hugely recommended

Enjoyable lunch!

By Lisa M |

Stopped in for a quick light lunch while visiting Atlanta. Tacos come with just a single taco no sides. There were a lot of very interesting tacos on the menu that interested me, but I wasn’t super hungry. I ordered the fried chicken taco which seemed the most “Georgia” of the various taco offerings. It was delicious. Juicy chicken that was light and crunchy with an amazing sauce and just enough cole slaw to fill it out. I got a side of the Baja slaw to complete my meal. The slaw wasn’t anything special. It was a vinegar rather than mayo based slaw. My waiter was friendly and attentive.

Delicious!

By Navigate146470 |

My ATL Cruzer tour guide recommended this place. She specifically said to get the Lobster taco. It was off the chain...it was so delicious! I got a fish taco, queso and chips too. I wish we had this restaurant in my city.

The good and bad

By Otisss |

The good is the chips and salsa. Queso and guacamole were good too. The Texas margarita was excellent. We never ate dinner, but I’m assuming that would have been good. The bad was the service sucked. There were two bartenders. We got the crappy one to wait on us. Constantly waiving him down. The place is on the dirty side. It just didn’t give you a good feeling. I guess there are several of these restaurants around the Atlanta area. Maybe the others are better. That whole area downtown sucked. I’ll try a different one based on the food, but once again this particular location blows

We will be back soon!

By Dwayne W |

The service was great, prompt and pleasant. Our food was served fresh and hot and the drinks were delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Less than $100 for 4 people. We'll be back sooner than later.

Good tacos, good service, excellent price

Both of us ate the three tacos. Recommendations from the waitress were spot on. Came with small bowl of rice and beans. Portions not overly large which was great for us. Price with 1 sangria and 1 beer was

Great prices and service

By Dane A |

After spending way too much money the day before at all the touristy places on Peachtree, I meandered over to Tin Lizzie’s and was very happy to feel like I was saving some money by going there. I sat at the bar and the bartenders are super nice and friendly and fast. I know that it can get packed in there but at this particular time it was not. I like that they have an outdoor seating area in the back as well. Now for the food... I always order tortilla soup if it is on a menu. It seems everyone makes it a little different and so I like to try and compare. They get an A plus plus for their soup! No weird veggies or weird texture and nice fresh avocado on top. The flautas were an entirely different story. Maybe I should have mentioned my preference for crisp stand alone flautas that I dip into guacamole or pico or salsa. These flautas were more like chimichangas- they were very large and they had them swimming in cheese sauce with all this gunk on top. It was like a layered mountain of soft squishy Ickiness. I tried to eat it but I did not like it. I have never seen flautas served this way. I didn’t complain or send them back because I ate enough to be full and didn’t want anything else. I saw someone’s tacos and those looked really good so I think I just ordered wrongly for my taste. Other people might love the flautas served like soup. Anyhow.. I was definitely happy with the service and the price and there is a lot on the menu I would like to explore. I also know that it is supposed to be a fun little bar at night as well. I recommend it and I would go back, I just wouldn’t get the flautas.

Surprisingly Delicious!

By mbrodyw |

Our server was very nice and helped us pick good appetizers and helped us choose from their wide variety of taco's. Their location is right downtown and is very easy to get to. Surprisingly delicious!

Hopeful, but it wasn't happening

By LorrainePlumeria |

Good engagement with the three staff with whom I interacted. Takeout service was timely. The restaurant atmosphere is comfortable and appropriate. But...I came because I was looking for a good meal. The server recommended the "any three taco" deal. 3 tacos from the menu for $10.49, rice and black beans included. I was drawn to that which would rock my taste buds. I ordered a Mahi, Korean BBQ and Sante Fe chicken taco. The Santa Fe chicken ended up being the better of the trio. I would rate it average, too much sauce and not quite enough spice. The Korean BBQ was soooo disappointing. Expecting the flavor of a good Bulgogi I received what seemed liked straight up pulled pork. The standard sauce covered the product and there wasn't even a hint of kim chee among the toppings. The Mahi - the fish was probably the best part but the same sauce was too overwhelming and destroyed the opportunity for a great fish taco to present a great taste. The rice and black beans were next and equally disappointing to me. Bummed in ATL

terrible service and not allergy friendly

By Susiewoozie12 |

Came for lunch on Sat late afternoon. Waited forever for server. Asked about allergy to soy and was told chips were safe- got queso and chips. Manager later said they were NOT soy free. Tacos had to be remade because they could not guarantee cross contamination. Barely ate and the manager took the queso off of the check. WORST SERVICE ever. You would die of thirst waiting for a waitress here or try to get your check in under 20 minutes. Food was not good, either.

Funky, friendly and great food!

By SavvyTravelerReviews |

Tin Lizzy's is chain with locations around Atlanta and as far afield as South Carolina and north Florida. The location we visited was in the heart of Atlanta's Peachtree Centre and convenient to everything. This was our first visit, and we were very impressed. One of the first things the visitor notices is the place is friendly! Everyone smiles and looks as if they actually want to help you have an enjoyable visit. And, it's kind of cool. All the colours, accessories and decorations come together to make the place comfortable and interesting at the same time. Finally, and maybe most importantly was the food - ours was great! Everything was fresh, the servings were ample and we were actually surprised at the value. We had more lunch than we even needed to eat for around $20 in downtown Atlanta - that's fast food prices! If you like Mexican food in a fun place with a friendly staff, be sure to visit!

Excellent Margaritas!

By RxDive |

Excellent Margaritas! The house margarita on the rocks with salt was very good. Chips and salsa (mod heat) were fresh and crispy. Three tacos for $10 were excellent. The fried chicken and cheese taco was the best of the three I tried. Big screen TV's are a plus.

Not too bad

By Diane S |

The food was not too bad. The chips and salsa were good. Service was a bit slow but looks like they were short handed but we did get everything we needed. Location was great for our hotel for being at the Hilton.

Great place for tacos and fun

By Blue H |

Tin Lizzy’s is a great place for friends and family to stop for food and drinks, especially after work. It’s location in the old Azio’s space is perfect for happy hour, bonding with Co-workers and finding a new place to eat or hang out. I previously enjoyed going to the Grant Park location, however the manager Andrew makes you feel welcome, and want to visit again. The atmosphere at this Tin Lizzy’s is also perfect for the myriad of conferences and games that take place in downtown Atlanta. The selection of tacos are great, and fit all palates (meat, vegetarian, seafood).

Bellow standard

By Andre O |

They claim to be a taqueria and cantina?? The menu is extremelly poor and less exciting than taco bell. I was seated at the bar and had a goid service.

Unique Tacos

By Ebony M |

I love to visit this place when I have the taste for unique tacos. Very friendly staff and they have live music on some nights. I usually get the low country shrimp tacos. Delicious.

Great margaritas

By segbonie g |

We frequent this spot to have margaritas after work and we love it. We usually sit at the bar and service is good but the beach bum margaritas are amazing and the shrimp skillet is my fav dish

Pretty good

By Jym F |

I ordered the cowboy skillet. It was really good. If you like spicy food, this is for you! I would also suggest soft tortillas with it. Service was a little slow. The prices were very reasonable!

Good food and drinks

Chicken con queso tacos and southern comfort tacos melt my heart. Skillets are a must. $2 dine in Tuesday menu. Delicious drinks....thai basil yummm!

Great margaritas!

By kimber_b85 |

Thoroughly enjoyed my tacos and pineapple margaritas from this place, though this was a while back when we visited so things may have changed since then! Will definitely be back next time we visit ATL!

Requests money while your puking

By Odyssey09794058495 |

I ate at you restaurant today and ordered 4 tacos all of which I specifically asked not to have cilantro added that it makes me violently ill... well the tacos were delivered and I seen cilantro on 2 of them and asked her to change it. She said she didn't see it on the other and assured me I would be fine... she lied. I started violently vomiting and her only concern was cashing out my husband for the meal I just puked all over your bathroom which was disgusting 🫣. I had to take several benadryl and rush to my condo for my epipen. Not only was my dinner ruined but I was with potential clients and it ruined the rest of my night I am extremely disappointed in tonight. I was so Very Clear about my allergies

By Ronald S |

Trinity, K2, and Bri are by far thee best bartenders and sever of man kind. Please don’t hesitate to ask for the trio. The best server you can ever ask for.

Okay

By Jodi C |

Stopped in for lunch while in town for a conference. Service was slow. Had nachos with steak...they were tasty, but nothing spectacular. Lots of small crumbly bits of chips and temp made me feel like it had sat for a bit before it made it out to my table.

The Fun Is Back In Town

By Steven G |

We had a party of 5 at Tin Lizzy's. Everyone had a great time with great food, great service and reasonable prices. Our Server, identified as 'Baby Usher' on my receipt was excellent keeping our glasses filled, and quickly delivering on all of our requests. For great Mexican dishes (my shrimp with rice was very good, and those that took advantage of Taco Tuesday were very satisfied), try this place.

Tasty!

By Andrea D |

We spent three nights in Atlanta and found our best meal at Tin Lizzy's. When we arrived, we were nearly turned away by the hostess because they were entertaining a large group in the back, but the manager intervened and we were seated immediately. What a relief! We started our meal with chips, queso and margaritas. The margaritas were well made and inexpensive (yay!) and the chips were lightly seasoned and delicious. My husband and I both tried a trio of tacos. My favorite was the fried chicken taco, I have a feeling I'll be dreaming about it for a while. The kids' menu was nice and our boys loved the Rice Krispie treat surprise that came with their meals. I hope this restaurant chain ventures north, we would be regular guests if there were one nearby!

Taco Heaven

By Tseman |

Family and friends stopped here the night before the Peach Bowl for dinner. We were able to make reservations for 10 at 7PM with no issues. Service was prompt considering it was packed with Florida and Michigan fans. Food was very good and made fresh. Atmosphere was fun and the music selection was also on par. Food portions and pricing was also a plus. Definitely would come back again.

Great Tacos

By Dr William Lo |

Friendly, casual and lovely tacos being served in this good value for money restaurant. No reservation and quite popular so be there early. Great for a large party of friends if you don't mind to shout cause it's very crowded and therefore noisy! Good selection of tacos and drink list... apparently quite good service here as well (I ordered something wrongly and they just volunteered to change it without charge)!

Excellent Friday night

By Amelia P |

Stopped in for some beers and a light dinner on a Friday night after a rainy drive from SC. Had a great time! Walked in- DJ was playing which was awesome. Bartender was prompt and friendly (receipt said Enrique? If that’s you- thanks!!). Beers were of course delicious, food was awesome. Manager made the bar a round of shots which kicked the night off well. All around excellent Friday night here!

Mexican in Atlanta

By dambanker |

I was downtown looking for something different and not trendy. I was about to enter another establishment when their sign caught my attention..always liked Thin Lizzy so I knew I had to try this. The atmosphere wasn't quite what I expect from a Mexican Cantina, It was too concrete and glass for my liking. But the food was great! I wanted the Tins Taquitos before I realized they were listed as an appetizer. To make sure I had enough I also ordered the Southern Comfort Tacos as it sounded different. The Taquitos were huge for an appetizer and they came in four large pieces. They would have sufficed on their own for a lunch. But I was happy I ordered the taco as they were great too. All in all the food was very good...Mexican with a nice Atlanta twist. Would recommend

Great service even better Food

By kkenneth1985 |

Had a great time here.. the server Tristin was very helpful and knowledgeable.. food was great.. I had the fish tacos

Lots of food

By Karen C |

This place wasn't far from our hotel. The front entrance has steps but if you go around to the side you can get wheelchair access (but someone has to open the locked door for you). I had the chicken skillet. I don't like spicy so they made it without the hot spices for me. My husband had tacos. The chicken skillet was huge, lots of food and filling, quite good. I couldn't eat it all. My husband enjoyed his tacos (and some of my skillet). The menu didn't seem huge but I'd eat here again. Our server was very friendly.

Excellent mid-afternoon experience.

By Ken N |

Tin Lizzy's looked good for a late Tuesday lunch. I was cheerfully offered a table, but, as a solo diner, I tend to favor counter or bar seating. With a handful of other customers and just one barmaid, it took a couple minutes to get a menu, but that gave me time to survey the taps and bottles. When my turn came, we chatted about the beer list, and she let me sample two IPAs to guide my final decision. I chose "Elysian Space Dust" IPA to accompany a buffalo chicken taco (one of the $2 specials on Tuesdays), a Korean BBQ taco, and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Each of these items was hearty and delicious. As my order arrived, so did a regular customer, for whom the barmaid prepared his favorite margarita without him having to ask. After a polite waiting time (guided by the fact that I'm an old-school Minnesotan who lives and works in Japan), I struck up a conversation and we passed the time pleasantly for the 15 minutes or so that he spends at Tin Lizzy's before going home. Yes, I can imagine slow service and warm beer described by other reviews, but I enjoyed great food, drink, and conversation.

Never served

By Tammalam |

Came in on a Sunday afternoon around 4. Not busy at all. Was seated fairly quickly but never had a server come by even after the hostess came back by to check on us while we were waiting. Not so much as a drink was offered after waiting for 15 minutes while the couple at the next table over who was seated after us was able to get drinks and chips. We left and went to Meehan’s, which would get 5 stars for the service alone. Would only recommend Tin Lizzy’s to my ex-husband.

Good quality Mexican food at reasonable prices. Pleasant atmosphere and good food. Limited size menu but food was great. Worth a visit.

I’m from the UK so never been to a tin lizzy before. Food was nice at a good price. Place was clean. My waitress could have been happier hence not five star.

Dragon Con Snack

Taco cantina conveniently located near the Peachtree Plaza. Spot on for that tex-mex craving. Try the korean bbq taco with asian style spiciness or the fish taco with extra pico-awsome. This establishment caters ro all diet needs. Food is cheap-drinks are not. Excellent service with great food.

Best food on peach tree street area!

Great waitress:Mia! The menu offered much variety. The trifecta tacos were perfect. Any three tacos off the menu of a dozen to choose from made up your platter. The buffalo shrimp taco blew me away! It was popping with flavor as I brought it to my mouth! Super tasty ! I had a shrimp skillet too and it was delicious. The food was crisp and clean tasting and honestly The best value in downtown Atlanta! Those complimentary chips with the salsa had some kind of secret spice dashed in here on those chips and that was different too. If Tin Lizzy ever makes it to Nashville it will be my go-to restaurant! It was exceptionally good food!

Great Service & Reasonably Priced

Stopped in for dinner during the weekday. Not many people were there yet; nice atmosphere, most reasonably priced food I've found in Atlanta so far. Chips and queso are recommended!

Outstanding Drinks and Service

The margarita's were out of this world and our service Tiffany did not disappoint. We were doing a little bar hopping and the drinks here by far were the best!

Mango Shrimp Bowl is a must!

By Juan Filipe |

I stayed at Tin Lizzy’s during the day for lunch and loved the mild and relaxed atmosphere of the place. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. I ordered the Mango Shrimp Quinoa Bowl and it was an excellent choice: fresh, well seasoned and with a delicious tropical combination. The Mood is very pleasant. A great option for those looking for something tasty, uncomplicated and with good cost-effective in the heart of Atlanta.

Great tacos

If there’s one thing you want from a taqueria, it’s good tacos, and Tin Lizzie’s does not disappoint. Lots of variety, and all well prepared and delicious. The second thing you want is some good beer to wash them down with and again, there’s a good selection. If you want quick (not fast) food, and something that has food sizes without being over generous - that is, value for money - this is it. Not too fancy, just good tacos!

Loved it!

Great place for a variety of Tex Mex options. Tacos were good and the drinks were refreshing. Cool place to hang out.

Amazing Chips and Salsa!

By motherpw |

I don't know what spice they put on their crispy chips but it is amazing. They have street tacos, lots and lots of them. They are amazing but my favorite with the Southery Whiskey ones.

Expected more, food portions small, hardly any flavor, questionable service.

I had high hopes for this place as it was close to the hotel and my family was in the mood for Tex-Mex style food. The other plus, I felt, was that since I was in town during a very busy weekend, that they accepted reservations through Open Table, which I certainly used. Great thing is that there was next to no wait when we arrived, but they did put us at a high top table near the entrance. Not really an issue, but I would suggest that if you're looking for a more comfortable experience, ask to be seated at a low top or inside the restaurant. After a while, I felt like our table was on the fringe or no man's lands between the bar area and the restaurant. Our server was decent, but after we placed our order, he kind of disappeared. He reappeared when our food was ready and brought it to our table, but then poof, he was gone again. Food portions are really, really small. Which again, I don't have an issue with, but it's important to understand this so you don't leave hungry. I got the "authentic street tacos." Now it says on their menu that you can't mix and match. Why not is my question? Server said, "computer won't allow us to input order that way." Okay, fine, I got the carnitas tacos. They have a decent kids menu too, which satisfied our kids, although make sure your kids like tater tots, as this place doesn't serve fries for the kids. Again, no big deal. My wife got the fish tacos. The food was not special. I've eaten authentic street tacos in the heart of Mexico City DF and sorry, these were not even close. Obviously, an Americanized tex-mex joint is not going to be able to duplicate a street taco experience from Mexico. But you should be close. The tacos were about double the size of a regular sized circular beer coaster. Two bites, and they are gone. So I got three of this with my meal. I had to add hot sauce to give them a kick, otherwise there was just no flavor. Same went for my wife's fish tacos. The kid's are oblivious, of course, but they were happy, so that was a plus. It took FOREVER to get our bill so we could get out of there, and we skipped the desert, which I think were only two options, a chocolate taco and churros. No thanks. I've crossed this place off my list and don't intend on going back. The bar area actually looks kind of cool for a place to hang out and watch sports as they've got a lot of TVs up. However, I'm not sure what food I'd order if I had to sit there for a few hours. Meh.

Don’t waste time or money!

The food was mediocre, almost freezer food! The service sucked! We sat at the bar and watched the bartender repeatedly make drinks in hot steamy glasses(no they weren’t drinks that warranted hot glasses). They allowed a non service dog to sit at the table in the restaurant. Just don’t bother!! Go somewhere else!

Service could definitely use improvement

The food was alright. It was basic Mexican fare with me having soft tacos and my wife having something called a cantina skillet. It was comparable to other Mexican restaurants I've eaten at, okay but not outstanding. While the server was friendly, the service was not good. While we were seated immediately, no one came to take our drink order until 10 minutes later. Even after that, it was another 10-15 minutes before we actually received our drinks. Servers were walking around like they were confused, serving wrong sections, etc. On more than one occasion, it seemed as if either they had gotten orders wrong at other tables or simply forgot who ordered what. I overheard the hostess tell our server to see to another table in a completely different area of the restaurant because they also hadn't been attended to since they were seated. The unfortunate thing is that the restaurant was not very busy at all when we arrived, just very disorganized. Quite honestly, my wife was thinking about leaving but stayed because we had finally gotten our drinks. It also took a while to get our bill so we could leave. In our experience, it could have much better.

Excellent tacos

By jvpritc@aol.com |

This is a terrific place for tacos and located right downtown in Atlanta. It was so good that we dined there on our last night in town. The service is friendly and informal and the food is excellent. I was particularly impressed with the décor which was rustic and interesting.

Good tacos - great value on Tuesday

Tacos are really quite good and an excellent value in Tuesdays ($2). Service at tables is very slow and of poor quality.

Mix and Match Tacos

By Steve5863 |

For a bit over $10, we were able to choose three different soft-shell tacos from a list of a couple of dozen different choices, some quite creative, which were served with black beans and rice. The tacos were fresh and tasty and I was surprised by the quality of the rice and beans. Service was satisfactory and the portion sizes were just right.

Great for meeting up with friends

We stopped here after a networking event. All of us were still a little hungry and ready for a drink. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. The food was extremely good, and the drinks were delish.
