Stayed in the Mid-town Atlanta area for a few days and found this great restaurant - Tin Lizzy's. Very casual and relaxed with lots of great Mexican food. It was no too hot the evening we were there, so it was nice to sit out on the open air deck. The place was a bit crowded, but not too crowded because it was a weeknight. A bunch of folks were hanging out by the bar, which seemed pretty lively. The food choices are quite interesting. We went with some soft shell tacos and a side order on chips and salsa. Everything was reasonably priced. It was a very good meal for not a lot of money. There were lots of other interesting items on the menu, too If you want a soft shell taco, try the "Southern Comfort" - very interesting ingredients, but tasty!

3.5! While not anything mindblowing, we liked the atmosphere and menu options here. It also was easy in a pinch when we couldn't find another option for food. We really liked the chicken tortilla soup. Our service was also great, and our waiter gave us extra chips :)

I loved the food! I had a chicken taco and a side salad. I wish I would have tried another taco! Service was good.

There are two Tin Lizzy restaurants in Atlanta and since it was fairly crowded downtown, we went to the location a little further out. We were seated immediately (and it was noon), had great service, and a great meal. We really enjoyed the chips, which had a light and crispy texture and a dusting of delicious seasoning. We both got the Lobster tacos and were very impressed. The cilantro bacon cole slaw was ridiculously delicious! We highly recommend enjoying a meal here!

I absolutely love their queso and their soft tacos. It's awesome how you order them individually so you can try different ones.

Nice environment, fun decor with tin accents of old license plates covering the walls accents with pendant light fixture cover made from old buckets if everything variety. Our foursome imbibed on a trio of dips with fresh, hot, spice-dusted chips. We chose hot salsa; chorizo cheese dip; and thick, creamy guacamole. The choices of tacos were overwhelming: About 5 for each of the pork, shrimp, beef, and chicken and 3 for veggie. Among our group we had a variety of pork tacos, beef tacos, a shrimp skillet, and buffalo chicken salads. We were all underwhelmed. The chicken in the salad was dry, too spicy, the lettuce was not cold, the black beans too scarce, the bleu cheese dressing tasteless. Tacos were mostly tortilla ( little filling) and the shrimp skillet mostly rice. Chips were the best thing at our table.

I was staying midweek at a nearby hotel. Decided to carryout food from Tin Lizzy. It was a good decision. My party had a sizzle, 4 different tacos and a quesadilla. Everyone was happy.

Very yummy tacos! 16 oz margaritas! Super fast food. great atmosphere with live music. I would love if one were near me.

We stopped here for tacos as we usually do when we need a fast, relatively inexpensive meal. We started with chips ($1.29) and I had a "Fall off the House" margarita ($9). The best of the margaritas, it still isn't that strong and could use some more lime (and less sweetness). We had two tacos each; I had the Chicken Queso Taco ($3.29) and the Fajita Shrimp Taco ($3.59), my husband had the Low Country Boil Taco ($3.89) and the Korean BBQ Pork Taco ($3.49). All were good but it looked like they got interrupted doing my Fajita Shrimp one; there wasn't a lot of filling. Service was good but not great. We sat on the patio, and unfortunately the people at the building across the street had someone with a leaf blower start working after we were seated. Very noisy. (It was 6:00 p.m. and we didn't expect that.)

Their selections are good. I had a couple of different tacos. They were good. Nothing special. Great service, though.

Took the family out for dinner. Lots of options for tacos, appetizers, a few salads, quesadillas and skillets. Our order consisted of tacos and a chicken skillet (rice, chicken, tortilla strips, tomatoes). Everyone agreed the food was great and we would come back based on the food alone. The service (if that's what you want to call it) however was lacking. We were seated without any silverware. Ended up getting it from another table ourselves. Asked the waitress a few questions and she wasn't very helpful. Food did come out quickly. One order was wrong, a different person had brought the food out and she quickly rectified it. Our waitress came out once right after we received our food. She was never to be seen again until we stood up to leave. At that point, she brought our bill. Never had refills, never really checked on. Very disappointing.

food was lackluster, skillet portion was small and loaded with carbs, little protein. service very good

One of my coworkers suggested I try this restaurant for dinner. I ordered the quesadilla CBR (grilled chicken, bacon, jack cheese, onions and peppers, side of ranch). My order was fast and the food was amazing!

At the recommendation of the hotel where I was staying, I went to this Mexican restaurant. I was starving after a day of travel and ordered the Buffalo chicken nachos. It started with the kind of thin chips that you might get for free at the beginning of meal instead of bread. They were covered in some kind of sauce like white cheez wiz along with some chicken and tomato salsa. Incredibly salty. I ate about a quarter before deciding hunger would be a better option than trying to finish. Very disappointing. The beer I ordered usually comes with an orange wedge - didn't happen, which is not big deal, but the server said "We're just slicing some fresh oranges." What does that mean? If they were slicing fresh oranges, there would have been an orange slice on my beer. Just irritating. And then they brought me someone else's bill at the end of the meal. I suggest giving this place a pass.

Excellent place for a business meeting or just a great lunch with friends. Everything is good. Disappointed that they changed the chicken tortilla soup, but still love this place.

Had a chance to eat at Tin Lizzy's while in Atlanta for work. It is a nice, easy walk from the High Museum. Definitely try the tacos--you can get a trio for a little over $10. I mixed and matched--the Korean BBQ was my personal favorite, followed by the Southern Comfort. Portion size was great, and the service was top notch! Definitely worth going!

I've been hearing about this place from friends, finally was able to try it when I was in town 2 months ago. Food and drink is superb, Margarita was delicious! We tried the skillets as well and it was amazing! The southern comfort skillet is my favorite!!! This place is a walking distance from our hotel and the concert venue we went to. Highly recommended!

Probably the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I had the shrimp skillet and the shrimp were the typical frozen shrimp from Sysco. The margaritas were too sweet and weak. If I was back home the place would be closed. It was Sunday night and the place was empty. Won’t be back.

I was last at Tin Lizzy's about a year ago, and it was a treat to eat here again while teaching in Atlanta. It is a comfortable, down-to-earth place to eat. The service on both nights I ate here in November was super fast and super friendly. My meals, taco's, soup and chips and salsa, were all well prepared, spicy and delicious!

We went last Friday after flying in from Australia , stumbled across it and were attracted by the live music in the front bar , went in and were out in the back room where the ambience was ridiculously loud so much so I count hear a thing my wife was saying so you may want to ask to sit outside . The food was nice and plentiful however if your not used to American portion sizes , you may want to scale back your order as we ordered far to much for two people !

Friday evening, after watching Casablanca at the ASO, around 11pm (we were staying at the AC Hotel around the corner), we stopped for a bite at Tin Lizzy’s (1st time). The only good thing was my Stella in a bottle. The salsa for the 3 amigos ap was straight out of a plastic jug. The Guac was tasteless, cold & cheese dip indescribable. After a very long wait (they weren’t busy at all), received a CBR Quesadilla that had very little red mush-looking stuff in its center in lieu of chicken as requested. Disgusting! My wife’s Street Chicken tacos was equally inedible. We weren’t looking for 3,4 or 5 star resto. We received a -2!! Yet, still tipped Nick 20%+.... buuuuut it was so.... it has left an unfortunate lifetime impression. But to add a straw to the camel’s back, I forgot my Amex there that night. I left VM’s - the promise of a call back within 24hours never materialized. Par for the course it seems! Don’t eat there. Awful, inedible & mis-managed.

Was in town for a conference and decided on dinner at Tin Lizzy's. Live band was great, seating was fast, food was good, but that is about that best I can say. We were seated originally in the back of the restaurant and there was a medium sized party who was being extremely loud and incredibly vulgar. So loud in fact that we couldn't talk amongst ourselves. We asked to be moved and we were with no issues. There is no free chips and salsa at the restaurant that you typically get at Mexican places. And, the service was slow. But, the food was good and inexpensive. Lived band performing was also a plus.

very good customer service and food very good. parking can be a little tight in the area.very good lunch specials

Our first time eating here and the food was GREAT! Plenty of food. It was a little crowded when we went, but still we only had to wait 5 minutes for a table.

The food was amazing and the service by Cam was great. He was very attentive to us and made sure we had everything we needed. Cam is a great server and anytime we come back I am asking for him. Overall the place, staff, and food was off the charts

Everything was great, the food was great, I'm used to a little larger selection of food, they do have a large selection of mixed drinks though!

I stopped in for dinner intrigued by the unusual selection of tacos. Started with a Modela Especial. Ordered a Korean pork taco with Asian slaw, Philly cheesesteak taco, and a side of rice and black beans. Those tacos were awesome!

Great food choices and delicious margaritas. The live band was excellent. We had a fairly large party and they were very accommodating. It is a fun venue for a large group.

Our favorite, by far, for margaritas, guacamole and cheese dip. Makes a great happy hour location. Food here is always superb!

We stopped by and sat on the patio. The one server was somewhat slammed with tables but she kept up and the food was served quickly. I thought the food was good and the service was fine. The patio is nice when weather allows.

Food came out hot. Very good. Nice staff. Drinks were great. I will stop by again when i go through atl.

Went on a Saturday evening. Relatively crowded but no waiting. Sat on the patio area with good views. Service was kind of slow and server not very personable. The original margarita was not impressive but I prefer very fresh, hand made cocktails. The tacos were good, as was the chicken tortilla soup. I might try again...

Not necessarily anything to write home about, but overall a decent dinner in a family friendly environment, so no real complaints either! Our waiter was friendly and helpful as well.

First of all, I work across the street and find myself here a couple times a week. Still have not tried all the different tacos...but, now they have chili. Oh, the chili is really good. Have a cold beer at the bar with Jess and be sure to say hi to Aaron, the GM. Plenty of tequila and the chips and queso are good as well. Cinco de Mayo gets crazy...

This restaurant has great Mexican/American food, wonderful chips, great salsa, and deep, rich flavors to everything I have eaten here. The service is amazing. I had my food in the perfect amount of time after I started my chips and salsa. And all I can add is YUM! For this kind of restaurant, easy and casual, it is spot on!

The food was great and the margaritas were on point. Tristan was also a great server. A great place to hang out and get some food and drinks.

This restaurant is more a bar scene than a restaurant as it sits across from the Opera night club. Great for people watching as the late nighters line u to the club. Atmosphere looked dingy. Food was not very memorable and I don't think I'll be back to eat.

went here for retirement lunch. Very wide choice of Mex food. Price would have been very high without our company discount...

In Midtown with my teen daughter and looking for a yummy place to eat that wouldn’t break the bank. This was perfect! The tacos were so good! We met friends so there were four of us and we all got different tacos and we all loved them. And the Guac was amazing!! Would definitely recommend this one!

My husband and I ate here when we were in town for a concert, staying at the Marriott Hotel Suites nearby. We had a hankering for Mexican food. My husband had the steak quesadillas, with a side order of cucumber salad. He said both were excellent. I had the three street chicken tacos, made with soft corn tacos, with a side order of black beans. The tacos were pretty good, but pretty basic--cooked chicken with tiny chopped onions seasoned with a little cilantro. I don't like the latter but fortunately, there wasn't too much. I got a little cup of mild salsa and some lime wedges to go with them. The tacos are supposed to be like typical Mexican street food. I don't know about that, but the tacos were fairly good, though a bit on the dry side. I had to ask for more salsa. The black beans were tasty. Service was fine.

I cant say enough about the nachos...I think the secret is their seasoned tortilla chips. I am a big sauce, salsa, cheese person but these chips...I can eat them alone with nothing on them...try them, you will like them! This is a regular lunch spot for me! Dont forget to sign up online and get a $5 coupon!

Wow! Amazing vibe, great staff and awesome food and drink! Had a wonderful dinner here and the Everything's Bigger In margherita with blood orange juice, just get it...you'll enjoy it. The Thin Lizzy is also quite good!

This is a great location for a quick lunch. The servers understand when you have more time to relax and when you need to hurry. The tacos and salads are delicious. I highly recommend the guacamole here!

Saturday night dinner. Very packed. Service was slow from menu to checkout. Food was good, not great, but good. Had appetizer, tacos and drinks. $40 range. Good price for what we got. Had to literally go get waitress for more drinks and again for check. May have been better service on slower night.

Had lunch with my family and none of us were impressed... ok at best. The menu had some very basic things tacos, quesadillas, etc but none of it was prepared in a way that made us even talk about it on the way back to the hotel..

My Wife, 10 year old Son (Will) and I ate at Tin Lizzy's last night. It was our first meal in the USA and was a great experience. We both had glasses of Blue Moon with the obligatory slice of orange, makes such a difference to the taste, and Will had a Coke Zero. Nice and refreshing drinks with Nachos and fresh guacamole to share as a light starter... but still too much for us to demolish without wrecking our main course! Will chose the kids meal of steak taco and tatter tots, which are a cross between small potato croquette and hash browns. Plenty for him to eat and he really enjoyed it. My Wife and I chose the 3 x mixed taco deal, choosing Buffalo Chicken, Lobster, Southern Comfort, Executive Steak, Baja Fish & Philly Cheesesteak which came with a side of rice and beans as standard. All delicious, with the Lobster and Executive Steak taking centre stage! I added a glass of Freshwater 420 to our order, something I'd tried on the flight over and really enjoyed, and the check came to a few cents over $50. A really tasty meal and good value for money, recommended!

We got tacos and they were just ok - nothing special and needed some sauce, but they have great prices.

Dropped by for a quick bite. The good news: they were quick and the wait staff is great. The food is just fair. Had street tacos that were not especially flavorful. They had a few import beer selections but nothing outstanding. My friend’s salad looked pretty good. I’ve been here before ... their location near Perimeter Mall seems to have a better menu.

Oh so good! And great value. Guac was the best I’ve ever eaten. Chicken con queso tacos were special. Margaritas were perfect.

We had training in Atlanta for a week and stumbled across this gem of a place. The tacos were delish and the waitstaff was cool as a fan blade. Would definitely return if I’m ever back in Atlanta.

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch with small group on the patio. Great food, music and service. I was afraid we'd have to wait and miss a deadline, but the service was quick and accurate. Food was really good..... My first time trying the shrimp tacos here. Def going back. Check out Midtown location.... Nice vibe

Food was superb! Staff even better Held a pre wedding bash here and could not have loved it more..10 stars!

the menu has a large variety, it is hard to choose. Everything ordered tasted GREAT!service at lunch was slow, the wait staff rushed us in deciding and did not give us time to look over menu. atmosphere was casual but loud and unable to carry on a conversation at the table.

Tex Mex style food with good service. The guacamole and salsa are very good. Boasting a variety of Margaritas, I would say that is their specialty. They do not serve frozen margaritas which is little odd - especially given some of the soaring Atlanta temperatures. If you are looking for something different try their sangria. It is very flavorful without being super sickly sweet. We visited for appetizers and conversation and Tin Lizzy's delivered!

A low-cost place to have dinner. I had two tacos Korean beef and chicken quesadilla taco with chips and a very pleasant salsa I would recommend to anybody in the area

Half eaten chicken tortilla soup, i was too hungry to take the pic prior to digging in but I really liked it, this new location is very clean

Wandering around Atlanta we stumbled upon Tin Litzy’s and were glad we did. Friendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating and great service. The soft chicken tacos were excellent and the Catalina Skillet with shrimp was excellent. We are only here a few days but will go back.

Restaurant was very busy at lunch and had several large groups in the room where we were but our server was great. She was attentive, took our order quickly, checked on us and food was good.

After been sit for 20 minutes with the menu in hand, I stand up and left. Waiters were going around and talking between them. There only two other tables served. Therefore the place was not in a rush.

Very reasonably priced good mexican food. Four of us enjoyed lunch ranging from salad, skillet and tacos trio. Service was friendly and unrushed even though the restaurant was packed.

We were tired and hungry after a flight from the U.K. Our server, Kayla, was excellent. We really enjoyed out quesadillas. A good start to our holiday

Enjoyed our family meal at Tin Lizzy's. Great variety of tacos. The Mahi Mahi very delicious. Also tried Southern Comfort not your traditional taco but yummy with fried pickles. Great prices.

The service was prompt and efficient. The food was good but not great. The portions were plentiful. The chips and salsa are an additional charge but were worth the money. It was a pleasant experience and a good value.

Early evening mid-week visit. My wife had the lobster tail and I had the cowboy bowl. We both enjoyed our meals and service was good

This restaurant has a menu with many options for dishes. The portions are large. The service is great.

Small, beer garden feel with great food and good margaritas. Try the skillets! Easy walking distance to midtown hotels

Wandered into this place by accidentbon a Friday evening. The service was sharp and the food quite good. The sizzling meal I had was a bit like a fajita, but with a southern twist. Surprisingly tasty. The live music was great, but too loud for easy conversation.

Casual atmosphere, great place for dinner before going to a concert. Try eating at the bar. Great, personal service. Timely. Soft tacos were delicious. Thanks, Brets, for great service. You'll enjoy your visit.

Really find the margaritas here to be quite good - especially if you order the Patron version on the menu. Combined with Tuesday cheap tacos, this is a go-to in the midtown area. That said the service is really quite slow, and frankly not that attentive. While the food is good (and I love the white queso and chips, for some reason extra good here), it is not stellar - especially given the hundreds of comparable restaurants in the Atlanta area. But if you need a place that stays open reasonably late with decent food, I would not pass this one by.... that said, likely not a destination location, either.

We were seated promptly, attentive service and excellent tacos. Nothing at all seemed to be lacking in any area. Busy lunch rush and we felt a little pushed out at the end but i suppose the staff need to keep the tables rotating.

Olivia was a fun and knowledgeable server and was patient with us since the is was our first visit. All the cocktails were delicious esp the “I’m in love with the coco” and “everything’s bigger...”. Kale and mushroom quesadilla was extra cheesy and the trick is to sprinkle cheese on the outside and let it char a bit in the pan. Amazing addition and I’ll be taking this trick home to my homemade quesadillas.

This is a good place to meet with a few friends. It can be noisy, and the acoustics are not great - but the waitstaff are well-trained, efficient but friendly, and will make you glad you patronized the place. Food is above average and reasonably priced. Parking can be a little tight, so be careful where you do put your car. They have a decent selection of beer, including a few local craft brews. In nice weather you can sit on the patio. Tin your lizzie!

Managed to get in here during Dragon Con for some much needed "real" food (not convention food) and a drink. Great place. Friendly bartender provided quick service. Good variety of specialty tacos that were quite tasty and good margarita to go with them.

The staff was so welcoming from the second I walked in. Service was wonderful and the food fantastic! The music on the patio was also really enjoyable. Thanks so much to the Tin Lizzy's staff! You guys are great!

Good margarita ( but I admit I've rarely had a margarita I didn't like). Guac was only ok ( I make much better guac at home). Interesting dishes, but my cowboy skillet wasn't great- needed something more or different( was kind of dry). Service was fine.

Great service and food! We had a party of eight with four younger kids. They gave us a private little section and even asked if we wanted to lay a sleeping two year old down in an empty booth they had nearby. Our food came out quickly and service was great. I’ve had great experience at all of the Tin Lizzy’s I have been to!

It can be a fun place to come and hang out with friends for cheap margaritas and edible food. Temper your expectations and come through for a date night when you are not feeling like doing the fine dining thing but still want to go out.

Wednesday evening ,on the third of July, decided to try the Tin Lizzy's for some Mexican food. The food I ordered was not properly cooked and the salad was not fit for a rabbit to eat. Overall the food was not edible. The music is way above threshold. I don't recommend eating here to anyone unless all you want is a beer and some bar food. Overall seems to be a miss-managed establishment

For the location just beside Hard Rock Cafe specifically - this has become a staple in our trips to Atlanta. This trip - we’ve already been there twice. I love the atmosphere, the low key, easy going and happy-to-please servers, and the food. If you go in during off peak hours and wonder why it may not be packed…please, don’t doubt it, just go on in and enjoy it all. The three amigos dips are a must, the quesadillas are exactly what you hope for, and the kids love the tacos - and mine usually don’t go far from chicken tenders or burgers. They’ve been happy to avoid the louder restaurant next door and just enjoy the atmosphere at Tin Lizzies. Wonderful all around experience.

In Atlanta with my wife and daughter for a little vacation while on a business trip. We were looking for a place to have lunch and stumbled onto this place. We had 2 tacos each, plus a couple of beers, the food was fantastic! A special shout out to our server, Sarah, who was exceptional. Realizing we had never been there before, she really helped us make good choices (amount of food, what were the faves, etc), as well as making certain that we were 100% satisfied.

Love, love, love this place! Easy walk from the Wingate. Live entertainment on the terrace. Food it great as are the margaritas!

The cantina skillet although tasty - barely had any chicken in - i had to keep searching for it - margarita was just average - disappointing considering the type of place it is. Don;t sit by the speakers if you want to have any chance of having a conversation

If you're looking for amazing tacos, there's much better. If you're looking to drink lots of beer while watching football and sop it up with some pretty good bar food, this'll do.

We had lunch at the downtown location. It was fantastic, wait staff was fast and attentive. I had a Spicy Chicken skillet and the food was great, and very generous portions. I will definitely try and eat here again. Loved it!

I eat lunch here every Wednesday with a few friends. It a nice place for a quick bite at a reasonable price. The menu, while not large, is varied with a good selection of beef, chicken and fish items. The staff is alway friendly and the service is pretty quick. Mel, who works the bar is a gem.

This is a great lunch place and they have a large selection of tacos and skillets. The chicken tortilla soup is always a good choice. Be aware that you have to pay for chips and salsa, but they will separate the cost among your entire group

It's hard to find a reasonably priced restaurant for lunch in this area and we were staying at a nearby hotel for a wedding and looking for something the day we got there. Tin Lizzy's fits the bill. Once you get past the fact that the place could use a good scrubbing, the food and the service were very good. I was going to split the loaded nachos (with the added steak) with my daughter, but also ordered the chicken tortilla soup and I was glad I did for two reasons. One, the nachos were sharable but only if you weren't that hungry, which never happens with me nor my daughter and two, the soup was terrific! It was done perfectly with a good flavor to the broth and loaded with chicken, fresh avocado, cilantro, etc. Other favorites at the table were the soft taco and the boneless chicken strips. Jarvis, our waiter, was a joy, with an infectious smile.

I used to eat at Tin Lizzie's at least once a week when my office was downtown. When one was built in Kennesaw, I was thrilled. Ate there tonight after an absence and was heartbroken- the yummy tortilla soup was changed. It used to be a clearish, very chicken brothy soup with rice and lovely stuff floating in it. Mild, refreshing and totally awesome. We always ordered the large bowl. Tonight i ordered a bowl- only size available now is cup. Which was just as well- the soup tasted like salsa, was a heavy tomato base, no rice and very average tortilla soup one would find out of a can or at any other restaurant. The fabulous, light soup was no more. It was the whole reason I went to TL. Guess I'm done going there. Bummer.....

Enjoyed a late dinner. It is posible to sit outside. You can choose between several beers and drinks as well.

We walked from the zoo to have lunch here:) server was friendly and the food was very good. I had the steak taco. Thankful we walked as their is no parking. It's a little pricy but all in all, it was good.

Excellent place for drinks and dinner. You can't beat their $4 margaritas! The menu offers a wide variety and their chicken tortilla soup is the best I have ever had. The skillets are good too!

This place was recommended for good Mexican food! The food was good but the service was slow and inattentive by the wait staff during the lunch hour. Not all it's cranked up to be!!!

My friend's and I ate here while at DragonCon. We LOVED it. We split some Korean BBQ nachos and each got a taco. I can't recall what taco I had but it was good and the nachos are a must in my book! I'll definitely come back.

We arrived early evening about 4:30. Service was fair and there were very few people in the restaurant. The service went from fair to poor we could not get refills on drinks even when we got refills on drinks they would not remove any dirty glasses. The food is basically tacos or some kind of taco skillet it is fair at best.

Tin Lizzy's was a short walk from our hotel in midtown. The food was delicious. I had veggie tacos and they were very flavorful and a great vegetarian option. The staff could have been more attentive, but other than that it was great. If you get hot easily, do not sit outside. It was only about 68 degrees outside and they had the heaters on with the porch shut up so it was pretty stuffy.

We shared the nachos that were excellent! Our entrees were delivered only a few minutes after the nachos were delivered...I would have preferred more time to enjoy the nachos. I had a chicken taco that was over powered by the barbecue sauce in it but my steak taco with blue cheese was excellent. Very inexpensive meal!

Great, unexpected gem, menu items were great, I tried the Greek gyro and chicken taco's, as well as the black bean soup and had Glass Texas Margarita-awesom

This is a nice place to visit if you live or work in the area. Service is good, interior is a bit cramped, food is OK, beer selection fair.

Great seasoned chips, salsa was good also. Good menu with lots of choices. Staff was friendly and GM came around and introduced himself and asked if there was anything he could do to make us more comfortable. Would definitely come back!

We went with a group of 12 at 6:30 on a Thursday night. They were busy with a big student conference in town. Food was very good, but we had a few issues, but they were prompt to resolve. One nachos was cold when it arrived at the table, they promptly brought out a fresh plate. We had one person who did not get their order until everyone else had finished and it was not complete, It was steak tacos, but there was not even any cheese on them? The management did not charge that patron for the meal, but the wait team service was just sort of all over the place. I know it may not seem like too big a deal to some, but it was to me. I dropped my napkin on the floor shortly after arriving and asked for another, and asked again, and again, and again and never was brought a simple napkin. I asked the waiter 3 times and the food runner twice. Finally someone just tore me off some of their napkin. It is just a little something, but made eating a messy taco and spring rolls difficult to manage. As I said the food was really good, with a couple of exceptions that were promptly taken care of. Just had issue with a really scattered wait staff and service that made it a less than pleasant experience.

The server made this a fun place, but when she was agreeing with our critique of the food, it was clear to us we weren't just being grouchy after a long work day, but the food is is just OK. Still, fun and if you don't know what real Mexican food tastes like, you can have a great time here.

We visited Tin Lizzy’s on a Saturday evening. We arrived with a party of 6 at around 5:00pm. We were told it would be about 15 minutes and that’s fine. 30 minutes later no word from anyone. We stopped the hostess and asked again. She said we would be seated shortly. Another 10 minutes passes and we bypass the hostess and ask a waitress. She seems shocked we had not been seated. You see there was a table on the deck that was built into the wall that would seat us easily. However Tin Lizzy’s was going to have some entertainment that evening and the entertainer had placed some of his equipment on that table. No one had the foresight to ask him to move it until the waitress did. We were finally seated after a 45 minute wait that was totally unnecessary. Not a good start. We did sit down and another 10 minutes pass and we have not been waited on. We flagged down another waitress who was cleaning up an adjacent table and asked if we were going to be waited on. She apologized and took our orders (not drink orders, but entrée orders). We order cheese dip as an appetizer and told her we needed to get our drink orders. She took it all and left. After about 5 minutes another waitress shows up, says she has been on BREAK, and wants to take our drink order. At this time I guess a manager shows up (we think an apology is coming) but he tells one of our party to get up, he needs to plug some stuff in behind her chair. We mention the service and he just shrugs his shoulder. Well you can imagine what happens next. Our appetizers arrive the same time as our drinks and entrees. Then the entertainer starts (a Bob Dylan wannabe who was poor) and we cannot hear ourselves think. The food was fair and the entire experience had been ruined. To top things off where I was seated there was a hole in the plastic covering and I froze to death. Really what makes this bad is I have been to the Tin Lizzy’s on Memorial Drive and have always been treated well and had great food. I guess they think we should just worship them because it is in Buckhead. Oh yeah the parking is terrible!

Much to my shock this location of Tin Lizzie's has lots of margaritas but does not serve any of them frozen. I love Tin Lizzie's and there food is outstanding but there are too many good Tex-mex restaurants that have frozen margaritas for me to bother with Tin Lizzie's anymore.

Had lunch with family and kids. Sitting on the patio and having great weather and great food was easy to take. The salad was plentiful and the chicken tasty, nachos were full of stuff and the queso was creamy and tasty.

Stumbled upon this by chance...AMAZING FOOD!!! We tried to go to the place next door but it was a super long wait. So we decided to try this place. Everything was delicious. Bursting with flavors and deliciousness. Definitely a great find!

This place was recommended from our hotel staff. This was a basic menu and nothing great. You even had to pay for chips and salsa for the table. Service was slow, and we were only one of three tables! My order had to be sent back and another persons was completely forgotten!

Ate here after realizing the hard way that South City Kitchen doesn't open till 5 on Sundays and we had Fox Theatre tickets at 6:30. Tin Lizzys is on the same block. Service was fine and the food was good, not excellent. Guacamole was good but nothing special- very chunky. Wife and daughter had a selection of 3 tacos. They liked all but the low country boil ones. I had a bowl which honestly Taco Bell's are tastier Really no complaints but I probably won't rush back.

Friendly staff, quick service, great drinks, and the least authentic but most delicious tacos ever. Definitely a must a visit place.

We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and fresh food. Many different menu options. Entry from mall and streetside.

The staff was nice. The food was small, very small. Rice and beans delicious. Tacos needed more food in them but taste was good. Very casual place , walking distance from Westin hotel.

great drink menu, good food- don't really consider this a mexican restaurant- more of a taco, nacho, quesadilla place. It got a bit loud at one point but a fun place overall

I had the tacos and my friend had a salad. Both were very good...nothing exceptional, but very good nonetheless. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly.

Convenient walk from the Marriot Midtown Suites we stayed at. Came for drinks one night and then dinner the next and enjoyed it very much.

Excellent food and drinks. The chips and salsa with guacamole and cheese was fantastic - and was more chips than anyone should ever eat. Was particularly a fan of the cheesesteak quesadilla, but all the entrees were superb. They have outside seating and lots of TVs, so it's a great place to watch a game.

Steak taco with onion straws,, outstanding. Tortilla soup excellent. Casual joint in midtown. Better than expected. Hard to make mexican food stand out, this place did. Good service also.

Great little taco shop. They have some other Mexican inspired dishes, but are mostly tacos. There was a large number of tacos on the menu. We tried a few different tacos. The best to me was the Korean bbq taco. It was packed with flavor and had a little extra heat in it. The chicken fajita taco was very good as well. Loads of flavor and ingredients. The baja fish was my least favorite. The fish just didn't have much flavor and seemed a little watery inside of the breading. The service was fantastic and helped to make the meal more enjoyable. The young lady was working her tail off especially having one arm in a sling. The water problems in Downtown Atlanta while we were visiting didn't help any of our dining experiences, but that wasn't the restaurant's fault. w

Went with some friends for Sunday fun-day. The food was good, the margarita pitchers was amazing, but what irritated my bottom was a couple bringing their dog into the restaurant. This was not a service animal (dog). I think its very unsanitary to bring a pet into a restaurant, if the restaurant is pet friendly then a special section should be assigned. The waitress went to the kitchen and got a salsa bowl and filled it with water for the dog per the couples request. So after the dog finish the waitress is going to take the bowl to the kitchen and I'm pretty sure salsa will end up in it at some point on some other customers table. I immediately lost my appetite and went and spoke with the manager, he apologized and offered to prepare me a to go dish if I wanted or sit us somewhere else, one of my friends have bad allergies to pets so we just end up leaving, oh yea they sat them right behind us when there were several other tables open on the other side of the room. Very disappointed in the establishment.

First visit, of many more to come. Sunday afternoon, not busy. Host/Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great, a couple of TVs, high top tables, and regular tables. Server made a few great recommendations, which we took him up on. Several different taco options. Kids meals are good sized and filling for them. Really nice experience, we will visit this again as well as other locations to compare.

Got a table right away, found parking, enjoyed the live music and drinks. I wished the Margaritas came in Margarita glasses though.

Tried 3 of their creative tacos and was not disappointed! The flavors were to die for! My only wish that I could have sampled even more but was way to stuffed!

The drinks were good, on a busy night they only had one bartender on and the margarita was gross. They did have a good sauvignon blanc wine that was very good so it made up for the bad margarita. The service was fine, the bartender was very nice but it didnt blow me away. Great place for drinks after dinner at another place.

We were grateful to find a place without a long line on Mother's Day at lunch time on a trip into Atlanta! Mexican is usually an easy vegetarian option for us. The servers were all super nice, though we waited a ridiculously long time (with multiple requests and getting up to try to get them ourselves) for waters on a 98 degree day. The queso, guac and salsa dips were good. The veggie tacos were OK, nothing to rave about. The margaritas were OK too. I was surprised there weren't many vegetarian options to choose from, but regionally, I know Atlanta isn't a veggie mecca. All-in-all, OK meal for 2 starving people and will do if you're in a pinch. Oh, and the parking lot is super small, so you'll likely have to find street parking.

Waitress was AWESOME. Very attentive, very interactive, very comfortable, you could tell she loved her job. I requested for her to switch the TV to the Braves game and she did (that's a plus!) The food was great. I got the Cantina Skillet and added grilled chicken and tomatoes. I ate about half of it, it was a lot of food. Amazing value for the price, too. There was a large group at a table near us that almost ruined our whole experience. They were celebrating a birthday, and though they were adults, they clearly didn't know proper restaurant etiquette. They were YELLING and cheering the entire time, jumping out of their seats to take shots at the table and to take pictures. They were really so loud that we couldn't focus on our own conversation. I thought management may step in and remind them that this was dinner hour, (not bar time), but their behavior was never addressed. That was unfortunate, but we still enjoyed our food and our waitress. Our Bachelorette's meal was on the house, which was an extra fun surprise. I would definitely go back!

We came in a at 9pm for a late dinner. It took about 25 minutes to get the beers we ordered and almost an hour to get our food. The chips were very good (cost-not complimentary). The cowboy skillet was very good. We all Liked our food but just know you could wait a bit.

Great menu, many items to choose from, not your everyday taco place! Lively atmosphere, good services. Will return next time in Buckhead.

Good food. Good price. Try the "hot mess" appetizer. Different variety of tacos. Atmosphere is nice. Not to loud. Clean. Service was fantastic.

I come here for their fried chicken tacos. They also have some good seasoned nachos. Gets really crowded at lunch time so be prepared.

We had lunch at the Midtown location recently and it has a varied menu with several unique dishes. It was hard to narrow down what to order but my husband and I decided to share the Buffalo Chicken / Black bean Quesadilla and the Three Little Pigs Nachos. The quesadilla was really good and the portion size was large. The Three Little Pigs nachos had pulled pork, bacon and sausage, but those flavors were overwhelmed by the Honey Chipotle BBQ sauce. The menu described it as “drizzled” with sauce but it really overpowered everything else and we never got a full taste of bacon or sausage. Next time, I would order a different nachos dish as they had several to choose from. The portion size for the nachos is huge. The service was good and mostly quick; it took a little while on our beer order and they were out of Dos Equis beer. We sat out on the patio and I had requested a shady spot and a fan and the hostess accommodated us. A manager came over to speak to us and to check on things and that’s always a nice gesture. Overall, a good, casual lunch spot in midtown. .

Open air 2nd story casual dine with a kick-back relax type atmosphere with TV & bar & great food & great selection & service.

Friendly service fun atmosphere. More bar Mexican than real Mexican. Fun place and staff really nice. No outdoor seating. Located in Emory Pointe . Short walk from Emory Conference Center. Very reasonable.

We went here for dinner and were seated in the porch right next to a large table of drunk women. We couldn't move as the other small tables were either occupied or dirty. There was music, so that helped. It would've been nice if the hostess had recognized that a table of 2 might not want to sit next to a large and loud group. Our food was greasy. We ordered the Shrimp Skillet ($9.99) and the Hot Mess Skillet ($7.99). Not good. The margarita I ordered was made with lime. After both I and my husband tasted it, we concurred the lime had spoiled. Yuck. Our server was nice enough to offer another drink, and I received a glass Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. It was a short poor, even for $9. Service was slow and spotty but the server was nice. We still gave her almost a 20% tip. This place has really gone down hill. Too bad.

Enjoyed the margaritas & unique tacos! Fried chicken taco = southern food meets Mexico, amazing Chop Chop Taco & a darn good fried tilapia taco! Plus great margaritas!

Great atmosphere on the porch.good tacos and i agree with another reviewer- lots of variety. Friendly staff. A local favorite.

I have always been a fan of Tin Lizzy's, most often going to the Perimeter location, and sometimes the Buckhead location. Last night was my first visit to the Midtown location on Crescent. Our server could not handle our group of 8, and appeared to only have maybe one other table. She could have tripled her sales on our table if she paid better attention, because someone was always wanting to get another drink, but she was nowhere to be found. My husband did her pre-bussing for her, collecting everyone's app plates and empty drinks, and put them on the corner for her to easily collect. She came back to the table with a new round of drinks, and walked away without grabbing the dirties. My husband got up and walked them over to the server station and put them on the table there. The food took way longer than it should have for a not-so-busy Monday night and was awful. I knew while I was eating it, that it wasn't good. Sure enough, I got sick. And I have had the trio of gauc, cheese dip, and salsa many times at the other locations and it's usually delicious. This one had maybe one large spoonful of gauc, congealed and cold cheese dip, and the salsa which was fine. I had a Southwest Chicken Cobb salad, and I could just tell it didn't taste right. My husband had the Buffalo chicken tacos and he said they were also terrible. I will never visit this location again, and am afraid I now have a tainted view of the small chain. I will need some time before going back to even the Perimeter location.

Delish, Delish, Delish! Walked in seeing a nice ambiance from the street and realized I am in a total new fusion, Mex with Southern Modern Taco place... Mike Maycumber, the Manager (got his card) greeted me at the door and offered a free appetizer to hook me on. And he didn't need to! After I ordered Lobster Taco, Korean BBQ Taco and a Fajita Taco - I was instantly hooked. What a joy on your palate! Not your typical tacos and a great fusion they call a Flex Mex. The place is a great neighborhood hang out as well as a biz lunch spot. The dinner I had was very reasonably priced and the service was superb.

When we pulled up, I was a bit nervous based on appearance. However, you should never judge a book by its cover. This place is awesome! The tacos were so good. My kids loved the the impossible burger taco and so did my wife. I loved the steak tacos and the fried chicken tacos. So good!!! The staff was super nice as well.

Ate our first meal in Atlanta here after a long flight from U.K. Waiter was really sweet when I explained I need a very small dinner......food was enjoyable, beer was good , bill was reasonable.......would go back , nice atmosphere.

This place was very tasty! We went on a Wed where they had 2$ tacos!!!! Everything you could think of they had in a taco. Me and my friends loved the food and the drinks, the staff was also nice. Places wasn't very busy but food come out quick and was very good.

My wife and I walked to Tin Lizzy's from our hotel. We had lunch inside. There is an outdoor seating option. I had a combination of different tacos. They have a tremendous selection of tacos. My wife had a quesadilla. We were both happy with our meals. My wife had a Thai basil margarita. It was very good. I don't like margaritas but this was good. Decently priced and very casual.

We ordered a Coke and a Corona. We got the Coke right away. Corona took over 10 minutes. We ordered guacamole and chips and two tacos. THE CHIPS ARE AMAZING. The guacamole was good as were the tacos. I ordered another Corona and after 10 minutes went to the bar to see where it was. I saw my server with one and figured he was bringing it to me. Never happened. We got up and went to the bar and asked for our check. Another guy asked what we needed and we told him what happened. Turned out he was a manager and took the original beer off the check. Our server said the bartender was busy. There were four people sitting at the bar and only four other tables occupied. They did the right thing by us. Go try the chips.

Came across tin lizzy's by chance and glad we did. Great selection of food and strong margaritas all reasonably priced, friendly staff quick service and excellent music selection! Wished we had found it at the beginning of our stay as we would have defiantly returned!

Being from California I was skeptical that I would find great Mexican food in downtown Atlanta. Tin Lizzy’s surprised me. Their chips are seasoned and the guest was awesome. I had street tacos! Service was outstanding even during a busy lunch crowd. If I’m ever back in Atlanta I will return for my Mexican food fix.

Was in ATL for a big volleyball tournament and stayed at Marriott Suites in Midtown. This was a 5 minute walk. We had 3 families with 9 kids total which always makes me nervous but this place was lively and loud and we fit in just fine. Great food and great prices. Loved the Mediterranean Skillet and the Taco options. Priced perfect for a family of five.

Great variety of deliciousness! We were in town visiting family and made Tin Lizzy's our first restaurant stop of the trip. Way to set the standard!! Staff was friendly and attentive. The food options and quality were great. Quite the yummy introduction to Atlanta!

We tried a dip trio and an assortment of tacos. Good warm chips came out with the three dips (really good guacamole) and our tacos were all delicious. It was a Friday night, so it may have been louder than normal, but I could yell and barely make it above the din. That said, the food is mighty good.

We were able to get in quickly on a Friday night and the food and drinks and service was great!! Will definitely be back!

The restaurant was very close so we walked from our hotel. There were many other choices around it but we decided to try Tin Lizzys because it liokef inviting and fun. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the different types of tacos. They were very good. Service was great and they also have different types of margaritas and other drinks that you can get. Cons: You have to pay for Chips & Salsa which is different from what I'm used to but they were very good. Pros: Service was very good. Our waiter always had a smile and offered suggestions. The service was also very quick and the prices werent bad. Would definitely visit here again.

Nice little place, we stopped for a late night munchies and got the Guac and Chips. Guacamole needs more flavor. And the chips were flavored with some herbs/spices but too much salt.

This is a taco place in Midtown. The food is fine and the drinks are cheap-Monday night was $4 margarita night. Service was excellent, and the setting was casual and comfortable.

Some of the food our group had was really good here, but got $$ soaked for chips and salsa, which was a surprise. What true Tex-Mex or Mexican place charges for chips and salsa?? Anyway, I might go back, but way too many other good Tex-Mex / Mexican restaurants that don't charge for chips and salsa, that also have free parking. Tin Lizzy's kind of mixes "chip-dipping" options with choices of salsa, queso and guac that can get up to $14 and change for one basket of chips with dips. Nuff said about that, except no refills offered on the one basket! The "one-off" tacos were crazy good, the featured skillet meals kind of mediocre since they were mostly rice (our table had 3 orders, and nobody finished their meal .. go figure), and the one salad at our table looked fantastic. Hard working wait staff, but no gratis chips and salsa is a deal breaker.

Not only were the tacos great, but there was a great selection. Our favorite was the Korean BBQ taco. The three amigos, queso, guac and salsa with fresh, warm chips was. Terrific!

Went to have dinner with family who live in Atlanta. Good meals and great service. So much dip and corn chips that im glad i only ordered 2 tacos. very filling

Went here for a business dinner. Chips and queso for appetizer were great. There is a spice on the chips that I was not used to. Chicken quesadilla was so so. Food seemed pretty expensive for a Mexican restaurant. Staff was attentive and could not have been more helpful. Manager came over several times to make sure that all was good.

I was in town for business and stopped here for lunch. The tacos were excellent, and there is a large selection of them on the menu. My favorite was the "Southern Comfort". I loved their chips and salsa, too.

Walked here from the hotel we are staying at around 3pm on a Saturday —- we were seated and served right away. I will say we have no complaints about the service it was very efficient but don’t expect southern hospitality they were not warm and fuzzy people. But we went to eat not make friends! Had a yummy lobster taco, a semi spicy Santa Fe one and a fish taco. I would recommend all but the fish taco— it lacked flavor after eating the other two... The chips and salsa was also good. Very casual sports bar atmosphere.. I would recommend and I would eat here again.

Maybe they were slow to seat me because I was solo and did not want to sit at the bar, but it took a while. My server was fast and courteous. Very friendly gentleman. The food was good i had the skirt steak with beans and rice and plantain. The rice was good the beans made it awesome the plantain wad a little to ripe and sweet for me but I know a lot of people like them like that. The drink was just ok. Not sure if it was just my selection or not a ginger margarita I believe it was. I'd go again. Would like to try the tacos. Price was great too. My dinner was 12.99. The tacos were around 3 or 4 dollars.

I tried the buffalo chicken taco and it was excellent. They have so many-I wanted to try them all. My friend and I ate upstairs on the patio which was a cool atmosphere. Drink specials were great too-$4! Great service too.

I just stopped in for a beer and sat at the bar. My server was Rodolfo, he was friendly and helpful as I was from out of town. He suggested a beer and spent some time talking about the local sports teams. I did not eat there, but they had a good dinner crowd for a Monday night. Give it a try!

Fajita meat was nothing but gristle. It was horrible and I will NEVER again be a customer. Don't waste your time and money!

JUST GO ! This Mexican restaurant was extremely tasty. The tacos ( Korean bbb, chicken cheese and executive ) were out of this world. I also experienced their queso dip which was great. Fun staff and fast effective service. This place is awesome.

What an unexpected gem of a restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. The specialty tacos were unique and delicious!!

Didn’t taste bad, but you get very little for your money you pay. Didn’t have ground beef, didn’t allow flour tortillas unless you paid extra or altered your entire meal. If you do go, go on Tuesday for the two dollar taco night. A little more worth it.

It was a little loud, BUT the service was fabulous!!! Food was very tasty. Lots of different options for dinner as well as appetizers. Drinks were a little on the strong side which is not my taste but the bar tender was rather quick to mix it up so that's a plus. Overall it was a lovely place if your in the area.

Nice place to get a variety of tacos. The guacamole was also good. We had beautiful weather that day and the partiall indoor/outdoor seating was perfect.
Good cheap food but very noisy
Like the chip and all that comes with it. Very noisy most of the time. If you can, sit outside, if not to hot. Great mix of items on the menu, nice staff
