I came here for a bachelorette party brunch and we had such a wonderful experience. The restaurant decor is adorable and filled with cute succulents. We dined in their private room and enjoyed pastries, mimosas, eggs, avocado toast, cheddar grits and more. I would highly recommend this for a large party but also for a casual Sunday brunch.

Very nice. The food was great, the atmosphere bright, airy and very nice. I loved the place. The cookies and pastries are very good. My fruit bowl was excellent. There were many options for lactose intolerant people as not everything was smothered in cheese as it is many places. I’d have given it 5 stars if it hadn’t taken so long to get coffee. The rest of the service was great. I would definitely go there before going to Kirby Lane.

I'm so sorry I haven't written before now... this is just great ... the man behind the counter makes one feel so welcome... and the interior is great ...there are several little shops all in a sort of compound so one can make an afternoon of it ... the food ??? It looks great I had a Cheeseburger and it was wonderful and the super crispy fries ... my mouth is watering ..., try it you'll want to go back ....

This is an excellent restaurant and I have enjoyed many a fine meal there. My complaint is with this Mother's Day "reservation" policy. Tiny Boxwoods does not take reservations. That is why I called Saturday to find out the best way and best time to arrive to assure a table with minimum wait. I was told they did not take reservations (which I knew) and that SEATING WOULD BE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. Knowing that I arrived around 10:50 AM to find numerous open parking spots (most unusual) and expected to get a table in a short time. To my surprise I was told that while they did not take reservations, they were allowing people to sign in, leave, and come back later for a table. This smacks of reservations to me. ALL THIS CONTRARY TO WHAT I WAS TOLD SATURDAY. Very disappointed, we left and found an equally good place to celebrate. Needless to say, Tiny Boxwoods will not likely see our smiling faces for a long, long time. If ever.

There’s nothing “tiny” about Tiny Boxwoods! The architecture and decor is huge on simple, clean and airy design. The menu contains a gargantuan amount of creativity, with emphasis on freshness and innovative pairing of texture and flavor. Wood fired artichokes were carefully prepared and brought to table at a perfect temperature so as to allow a full appreciation of both of the huskiness and delicacy of its flavor. Shrimp risotto had a perfect nuttiness in its texture and was infused with layers of spice and citrus. Each bite nuanced with a slightly different taste which added up to a subliminal whole, remembered a day after the meal. Desserts are fun but not fanciful, thereby yielding a comforting sweet ending to the meal. The house lemonade should not be missed!

My niece had a Baby Shower here and it was so lovely! There was a private space in a side building with a private patio that made it more intimate, perfect for the ~20 guests. The servers were friendly and helpful. There was an awning on the patio to provide shade, which allowed us to spread out in/outdoors. The space also had a powder room, which was convenient. The food was great! Caprese Kabobs, yogurt-granola cups, avocado toast, an array of pastry, along with other tasty hors d'oeuvre. The vanilla cake was pretty (but a little dense, but the frosting and lemon Curd filling was delicious! ). They even had warm, individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies as party favors. I would definitely look into booking this space for another event. I've never eaten at the restaurant, but now I can't wait to try it out.

Stopped in for dinner one evening. Ate on the beautiful, quiet porch. Started with the meat and cheese plate. All good - while obvious, sometimes it's hard to get a meat and cheese board just right. We had The Watercolor. Oh-so-good. Definitely not spicy. Well balanced by the coconut rice. The whole bronzino was a little over done but had fantastic flavor. The service wasn't rushed. They were happy to let us taste the wines by the glass before committing. I'll definitely be back. Better go before it becomes insanely busy.

We were at Tiny Boxwoods for the office Christmas party. They have a private room one can reserve for special events. Though this space is some distance away from the main restaurant, the service throughout the evening was impeccable. The event space itself looked gorgeous and was set-up perfect for our small party about ~20 people. We started off with the cheese & meat board with drinks. They only served wine & sparkling wine (rose) for the occasion. Both were top notch! The finger food was finger licking delicious - blue crab bruschetta & oysters. The main course was wood fired tenderloin and/or salmon with mushroom risotto, grilled potatoes, kale caesar salad. This was followed by slice of cake & cookies for dessert. The salmon was especially good. Though it was grilled, it was not dry. Mainly it was the service that made the event so memorable. They had 2 servers dedicated to us and throughout the evening they paid attention to each one of us - refilling our drinks, offering appetizers, making sure the plates were brought in timely manner & cleared away when done. This kind of service is extremely hard to come by unless you're in some fancy place. I was extremely pleased with the overall experience. I will definitely be going back to experience their brunch/dinner menu. But till than, I would highly recommend this place.

Tiny Boxwoods just opened in Austin but originates in Houston from what I have learned. The name is so appropriate as there are tiny(and I mean tiny boxwoods everywhere)and you can purchase them next door at Thompson + Hanson. I brought three home with me to Chicago and they now adorn my back door planter!! Living memories! The menu at Tiny Boxwoods is eclectic southern and American fare. My shrimp and risotto was off the charts delicious with a light lemon sauce!! The fried green tomatoes for an appetizer a hit and the white burgundy a perfect compliment. We sat inside as it was 103 outside but the patio area so charming and people eating there that couldn't get an indoor reservation so that tells you it is very popular already despite the extreme heat! They are famous for their chocolate chip cookies which the gals I was with had and raved about. A nice looking and attentive wait staff and they really know their stuff! I will definitely go back on my next trip to Austin and highly recommend it!! Dressy casual meaning a sundress or pants and a fun top!!

Tiny Boxwoods was a great choice for lunch that my friend had recommended. It was a beautiful afternoon so we were able to sit outside in their backyard patio area. They have a wonderful menu and the food we ordered was plated beautifully and it was delicious! Our server, Dillan, was attentive, friendly and professional. I will definitely return to Tiny Boxwoods on my next visit to Austin!

So I am a neighbor who has been to this restaurant 4 times. First time was a 5-star experience, second time was a 5-star experience, third time was a 4 star experience, last time was a 1-star experience, averaging this out at not too happy. As a neighbor I want this to be an excellent place and I want to be able to go back and recommend (I had recommended this place a lot after my first two visits, after my third visit I have opted to not return when I had a couple of options.) The place is beautiful, they have a lot of attention to detail and they get an A+ in decor, ambience, and just a nice feel. It's not until my 3rd visit that I happened to go at a time where you order and pay at the counter, however we waited standing there with no one at the counter, or around for a good 4-5 minutes, quite awkward to see waiters walking around, a mostly empty restaurant and more than us waiting around not knowing what the heck. The last time I went we went for breakfast, ordered delicious breakfast (food has always been excellent) and 2 lattes. It was around 10:30 am and there were only about 6 tables of people. We got our breakfast but our lattes hadn't come yet (first red flag), then I asked a waitress about the coffee and she showed concern and told me she would go chase it. She never got it and once we were done eating our entire breakfast (30 minutes after we placed our order) I had to get up and ask her again about it, and at that point I said we would have one to go and to cancel/refund the other one (I don't want my coffee after I am done with my breakfast.) She came, was very nice about it, came back to take our card for the refund and then again disappeared, she said the manager had to run the card. Adding insult to injury, and making us feel really cheap about our refund, we had to get up, go to the counter and collect our card (ps. our card was refunded the latte but not the tip we had added to our entire bill ... not a big deal moneywise but not ok.) Also, the manager was kind enough to give us the receipt in some sort of card envelope thing that was dirty (either smeared with soil or chocolate.) Talk about attention to detail. EVERYONE can forget about a latte, no harm done. However when it's forgotten by about 3 staff members, and then the "manager" doesn't show the proper manner of apologizing about the experience it shows there is indeed an issue. If I didn't want this place to be fabulous I wouldn't spend the 5 minutes on this review...but as I said I am a neighbor and we need good places like this in the area. I intend to go back and give it one more try, and I hope that whoever spent so much time making sure the place was decorated with just the perfect large windows, wooden planks, and landscaping doesn't forget that at the end of the day a bad experience will take someone (and all their friends) away. PS. left my name at the store also for someone to contact me so that the landscaping company would do the landscaping at my home...this was 5 weeks ago, no one called. Clearly staffing problems.

Some girlfriends and I had a wonderful happy hour & dinner at this charming spot! We sat out in the garden area and their menu was fantastic. Food and service was great!

I loved the delicious migas. They were perfectly whipped and had a tart tasty tomatillo sauce. The sausage was also flavorful. The biscuit I ordered was also good with their own strawberry preserves.

Visited Tiny Boxwoods yesterday w my 89- year old mom. It is a fairly new restaurant with lovely interior as well as a nice outdoor space. Convenient to Seton hospital area. Did not notice any signage yet, but we pulled up because I thought, “How interesting! This looks like Tiny Boxwoods at home!” (We are from Houston.) So, we are glad to share our little restaurant with our friends & family in ATX!! I always enjoy Tiny Boxwoods, although my hubbs always says he would rather go to “biggies” as portions are small and rather pricey. That being said, it’s a nice spot for ladies for lunch, or date night to take the gal to a pretty restaurant, or to “see & be seen. “ The cookies are ahhhhmazingg! Sometimes we go to Tiny’s Milk & Cookies, & glad to know this part of the company will also open in ATX on the same property.

In a word, "DIVINE!" I surprised even my wife with this stop for a late breakfast / early lunch. My wife is a certified Sommelier and appreciated the thought that went into the wine list, and she was even attracted to the cocktail list. The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and there's a background of low-key laughter that pervades the atmosphere in a great way I've simply not seen elsewhere. It's just a happy place. We ate at the bar with a lit fireplace to our backs--so nice on a cool Winter day. The vibe is simply pretty, rustic clean, and bright. There is outdoor seating too we'll try on a sunnier day that looks so inviting. I had migas while my wife had a Cobb salad (chicken substituted for the petite filet)...and we had a pastry tray, wine, and a cortado (espresso). My slightly deconstructed migas were great...creamy eggs, a healthy serbing of carnitas, and good tortillas. The pasries were decadent. We'll be back for sure.

Recently went here with a girlfriend for a girls dinner. Made reservations via RESY without issue. Atmosphere is very cute and white. The place can be very loud and difficult to have a conversation if you have hearing issues. Our first table was right under the air condition vent and before we were able to order I was getting dripped on. We asked if we could move and thankfully they let us. We also asked if we could lower shades as the sun was right in my eyes. Our waitress did it for us. Later in the evening the manager came by and just opened it and blinded us. Why didn't he ask before he did it? So odd and then he sort of gave us attitude when we asked for it to be put down again. On to the food. As it was 100 degrees out we didn't want a lot. My friend got the herb roasted chicken and she said it was delicious. I got the shrimp & risotto. It was good. I thought the sauce was a tad salty for my taste. We then both got a desert. I got the chocolate cake with caramel sauce. My friend got the cheese cake. Both deserts were better than most places. The biggest issue here is the service. Our waitress was to the point and slow. Extremely slow. We sat in front of our dirty dishes for half a hour and finally waved her down to get the desert menu. Why didn't anyone come by and see if we were done? Between the waitress and the manager the service is at best a 2 out of 5. Parking is not an issue at night. Both of us were able to park without issue. Overall I would say a 3.5 but the desert saved the night so giving it a 4.

There is a little walk up window behind Tiny Boxwoods that has the desserts and then some that you can get when the restaurant is open and closed (which is when we went). We had the tiny's icecream which was vanilla with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies mixed in. Hands down the best icecream I have ever had. We also had the gluten free blondie which was so yummy and fresh. A++++ Tiny's, you sure know how to do cookies!!!

Just a wonderful spot in Austin inside or out. They don’t take reservations so be prepared to wait but trust me it is well worth it!

Idk how to begin. I love this place yet I dislike this place. I've never had the food tasting bad. I have always come for brunch. It's always tasty. I've gotten the Mothers Breakfast several times. Avocado toast and morning grain both good. But...can I justify paying the hefty price for them? Not sure. I think it's overpriced. But then are we paying for the cute chic place? Perfect lighting for every event and picture? Cute patio outside and yummy pastries and cookies? We've had them billing us incorrectly 1 time. Way overcharged our jam we ordered to go. They fixed it Thank God. We've had impatient waiters circling our table during a Girl's lunch. We've experienced the water tasting odd in the cute water jugs we took to the table. And we've gotten odd glares here too. But will we come again? Most likely because it's a cute place for showers and ladies outings. It's picturesque. It's central. Hip. Austiny. It's a place I've recommended many to try too if they are in town. It's also the place where my dear friend had her last anniversary dinner before losing her fight to cancer. I suggested this place to her. And they had a very delicious romantic happy dinner here. :( So...take all that into account. We will be back but ouch it's pricy...

Ate there for first time recently. Definitely a very nice eatery for the well heeled west Austin clientele. Our service, food, drinks, the atmosphere, and decor were top notch. We definitely will be back! The people watching was great, too. (Celebrities perhaps?). This place is a great choice away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The only thing I can complain about is that the pizzas (2 out of five ordered pizza) didn't meet our expectations. Ingredients were creative but the crust was too thick at edges and burned to a bitter crisp. Several remarked that the crust was bitter even on the non burned areas. Not sure what's up with that. The menu is pricey- $25 hamburger? Overall I highly recommend. You may have a better experience with their pizza.

Ate dinner here with my wife last night. Sat on the patio, which is a great place to enjoy the wonderful food. Luis was our server (see photo). Friendly, efficient, which is expected at this restaurant, and great conversationalist also. Luis clearly enhanced the dining experience. Artichoke appetizer and Gem salad were delicious. I had chicken, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, along with Brussels sprouts. Yum! My wife had a Provencal salad, which she was too full to eat, so brought it home, but it looked great. Strong coffee, which was to my liking. And, cookie for dessert was a nice touch. Continues to be one of Austin’s best restaurants in my opinion.

Wow! My wife and I went to Tiny Boxwoods for our first visit. The location is pretty cool, just off a major street a block or so. Attractive, appealing, and comfortable. We ate outside. The menu is relatively small but interesting. The wine list is also relatively small but reasonably diverse. Wine prices are, by my values, a touch on the high side at three times retail. We ordered a Spanish Cava and the Oven Roasted Artichokes to share. The Cava was very good and the artichokes were exceptional and are highly recommended! For mains we ordered the Sausage and Goat Cheese Pizza and the Provencal Chicken. Both were very good. It should be noted that the wood fired oven is used for both pizza and other cooking which requires a lower than ideal temperature for pizza. However their oven management is excellent and they cook everything nicely. Their pizza dough is very good. Dessert was a very good Crostata (Galette) with blueberries and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Service was excellent. All together a great experience. Our only glitch of note involved an incorrect price on the bill for the Cava but that was easily corrected. We had a great time and meal and will gladly return. Highly recommended.

My wife was enjoying an u usually cool night and said, “Let’s go to Tiny Boxwoods and have the wood fired artichoke hearts.” Great idea! Outdoor seating and a cozy setting. Service was fantastic, as it always is. Thanks, Andrew! A friendly caring server. The food is always well prepare prepared, timely served, and well-plated. Artichoke hearts, oh my, great dish. Crab cake appetizer delicious. What was my wildflower?Watercolor entree is a must try, crab meat me one and grilled shrimp. Latte for dessert. Andrew, see (photo) was a wonderfully kind, genuine server. My wife is now 2 years cancer free so part of our dinner was to celebrate that occasion at great milestone. Andrew brought a glass of bubbles on the house. One of the managers, Luis, came by too. So friendly and engaging. Thanks guys for being part of a wonderful evening.

Had our anniversary dinner here a few nights ago. Let me start off by saying that Shelby is an outstanding server and I would ask for him, as he knows the menu, is easy to talk to, not pushy, and genuinely friendly/likable. Made a delicious meal and a nice outdoor setting even better. Inside looked nice, yet simple. We chose outside to get some fresh air and to continue to be Covid careful. They allow dogs on the patio which is a nice touch and we had our dog join us for dessert. My wife and I thought everything we ordered was extremely well prepared, served at a proper temperature, tasty, and a nice portion size. Brussels sprouts, artichokes, fresh bread all yummy and memorable. I had the watercolor, a shrimp dish on coconut rice with a crab sauce that had a slight spice/heat, that warmed my mouth and didn’t overpower the food. My wife had Sea bass, a special, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The chocolate chip cookie for dessert was world-class, maybe the best chocolate chip cookie we’ve ever have. Good coffee too. Some reviews say that this place is pricey. Well worth the price in my opinion. While certainly not an inexpensive meal, the enjoyable venue, great service, and delicious food maybe the price or non-issue. Just go. And, ask for Shelby.

Just discovered this place. Busy, busy, busy and all by word of mouth. That makes it somewhat noisy. A trifle overpriced but food quality and presentation were excellent. Only open a year ago with dinner and just added breakfast and lunch five months ago. Really global wine list and soon to add cocktails. Fabulous pastries and coffee, too. I ordered decaf and it was really flavorful. Can’t wait to go back.

The only reservation we could get for last night was at 8:30 pm, which was late for us but our friends really wanted to try it. When we arrived, they said it would be just a minute for the table to clear. It turned out to be 30 minutes. The restaurant was packed and the noise was deafening. The waitress left us with the menus and a couple of suggestions of her favorites, and then returned about 10 minutes later. (We already had drinks from the bar). Two of us had decided to try a couple of their pizzas, since the waitress had bragged about the wood fired grill. When we ordered she informed us that they weren't recommending the pizza's that night because "the dough wasn't right". She said we could order them, but they wouldn't be good. The pizzas make up 1/3 of the menu. Could have told us that in advance. We ordered some fries to eat before the meal came. They were cold and got sent back. The replacements were hot and crispy but took another 10 minutes. The food was OK. The shrimp and crab over rice had 4 shrimp, a lot of rice, and I never tasted any crab. $34 seems like a lot for 4 shrimp and a lot of white rice. The kale caesar was pretty good. At the end the waitress brought each couple a box with 3 chocolate chip cookies to apologize for the long wait and the cold fries. They say they are famous for their cookies, but not quite sure why. The cookies are your basic chocolate chip cookie without nuts. I'm addicted to sweets but am pretty picky about making sure that the calories I consume are worth. I don't think these are worth the calories. Their breakfast and brunch menus look interesting, and I might be tempted to give them one more try at a time when it's not so crowded and loud. Quite a few college aged kids in there and I guess they handle the noise better than a middle aged cranky woman who isn't used to eating quite that late. It was 10:30 before we actually finished.

I love Tiny Boxwoods in Houston! I was so thrilled they are now here in Austin. BUT, they are still working out the kinks. Some of of food was inedible. Since they were new, we told the manager and they gave us free desserts and appreciated the feedback. Eventually they will serve breakfast and lunch so I plan to come back! Suggestions: get there early or make reservations. We arrived 10 minutes before opening without a reservation and barely got a seat for 3. Small bar area for drinks. I absolutely love the atmosphere- Beautiful architecture building and lovely patio. Dress UP, Austin. This is the see and been seen locale. Not your typical, casual bistro. Basically channel your inner Houstonian fashionista! Can't wait til they get the food figured out. I'll be back for another try! PS- REALLY pricey!

We had a great meal at Tiny Boxwoods. The appetizer ..the French Picnic was delicious, especially the bread. The entrees – the Seaside ( Seafood Stew ) and the Scallop special were very good. But we had a big problem with the wine. We ordered a bottle of the Orin Swift Mannequin Chardonnay listed at $93 on the wine list…one of the most expensive white wines they offer. $93 is a lot for a wine that you can buy in the grocery store for $30 but – we did it. Our call…no foul….yet. When the bill came – they charged $102 for the wine. So do you point this out….or let it pass…since it is only $9 on a bill of $240? So I ask for the wine list to confirm the price was $93…the waiter brings the list and says nothing. When I point out the difference… the waiter some how already knows about the problem and is ready to correct it. So…..you are knowingly overcharging and are only going to correct it if I catch it and wave the wine list in your face? This ruined what was a very nice experience. You do not pay $250 for a small dinner and for two people and a bottle of a very moderate wine just for the calories. You want a nice experience – which does not include this sort clearly attempted deception. The great thing about Austin is that there are a million good restaurants. Even though the food was good and the service was good ( other than this issue ) at Tiny Boxwoods….it will be very hard for us to go back.

Simply the best restaurant we have been to in Austin. A massive shout out to Marc who went the extra mile on just about everything. We are a party of 9 and sat inside to celebrate a graduation. The restaurant is straight out of Conde Nast travel design….but what about food and service? Food We had the Gathering Board - this was on another level - not just top quality but full of deliciously wonderful surprises that I won’t ruin for you, also added the Wood Fired Artichokes (why don’t mine taste this good at home?) We mainly had the coffee rubbed rib eye steak - that melted in your mouth and was bursting with flavour. Whilst the scallop risotto was cooked to absolute perfection. Portions are very generous, however don’t leave this restaurant without the cookies - even if you need a to go box!! Service Warm, friendly and efficient- our waiter made excellent recommendations based on a thorough understanding of the menu, was friendly without overstepping the mark and helped to make this such an exceptional experience. If you’re visiting Austin book well in advance and thank me for this review - I genuinely don’t think you’ll find a better restaurant. Thanks again Marc!!!!

What’s good: a lovely building, a beautiful garden setting for tables (weather permitting), well prepared American food,, quickly served after ordering, moderately expensive. Not so good: very loud and music on top of noise, polite yet inattentive staff. Best to eat outside.

First time for brunch and first time to sit inside, having eaten dinner and lunch hear several times in the past. Great experience! Thanks Fallon (see photo) for excellent food recommendations, your delightfully engaging personality, and all around commitment to enhancing the dining experience. You made a great meal even better! We (my wife and I) started with the grilled artichokes, which we have had before. Good size portion, plenty for 2, perfectly grilled to tender perfection, with a wonderful “garlically” edge. Yum! The chicken enchiladas in a green chile sauce, with rice and black beans was one of Fallon’s recommendation. The right amount if heat, with tender, tasty chicken. Very good. Provencal salad, also a Fallon recommendation, was fresh, filling, and had a tasty dressing … and was great as a take home snack later in the day! Good, full-bodied coffee too! Loved the cozy table by the window/glass to the outdoor area. Brunch was a totally satisfying meal. Nicely done … as always! And, thanks again Fallon …

Steel windows provide lots of light and combined with the high ceilings and wide plank old wood floors give the restaurant a lovely ambiance. Menu has slight twists from the Houston locations that I frequent - a ribeye hamburger rather than the lamb burger in Houston or shrimp and risotto rather than shrimp and grits. The food was good — the negatives were a 45 minute wait for the entrees and a steak that came out rate when I ordered medium rare. Those prevented a level five rating.

I wish I lived in Austin! I recently had breakfast at Tiny Boxwoods and it was excellent! I am still dreaming of their Avocado Toast with Salmon. So good! All of their food looked amazing. Simple, classy and bright atmosphere. Friendly staff too, especially considering all of the kiddos in there. Definite winner!

For a restaurant in this price range, it's a little odd to order at the counter. They do bring your food to your table though. The restaurant is extremely noisy, and takes away from the enjoyment of the food and atmosphere. Very limited wine selections, and again, very pricey.

Even though you have to stand in line to order your food the ambience is still wonderful. The dining space is a bright, airy room with lots of windows overlooking their outdoor dining area. There is a small bar as well. Wonderful coffee, breakfast pastries, eggs and other healthful items for breakfast and a full menu with salads, a burger, delicious enchiladas, and specials for lunch. This is a delightful place for ladies who lunch as well as couples. Catering to a well heeled Austin clientele both young and older, you will not be disappointed when you eat at Tiny Boxwoods!

We visited for a birthday dinner. Service by Erin was 5 star and the best part of the experience. The food itself and the kitchen's performance were disappointing. The Caesar Salad @ $14 was the only decent value of the meal. It was large enough to share and was quite tasty. Two of us had the Burger which at $21 was a poor value. The Burger itself was okay but the fries it was served with were soggy and limp. The kitchen also had a very hard time delivering mustard and my Burger was cold by the time Erin finally got some. Cold Burgers aren't good. The Bucatini Carbonara at $28 is another poor value and the dish itself is quite sparse. It is tasty, but they skimped on the Pasta and other ingredients. All told, this is an average restaurant with a limited menu that is over priced and masquerading as a 5 star experience.

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant three times since my last review, most recently last night. The food is always excellent, and the service is always genuinely friendly, in a casual professional sort of manner. Our server last night was Jordan, see attached picture. Knew the menu as if he had worked at this restaurant for years, and was enthusiastic, as if he had only been at the restaurant a few weeks. Excellent server, that added to a great meal. Brussels sprouts are a must get, and the fried green tomatoes were done with a tempura batter that made them interestingly different, and tasty (and they were also Jordan‘s recommendation). My wife ordered a pizza, first time for that at this restaurant, and thought it was delicious. I had the coffee rubbed steak, which was really good, and the large fried potatoes were deliciously seasoned. Chocolate chip cookie for dessert is also a must have, and the latte was very good also. Even though on a busy street, the hedges, which I think are boxwoods, make for a very private, cozy outdoor setting. It is also pet friendly. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Austin for both dinner and lunch.

Dined here with friends. Lovely atmosphere and good service. You can eat indoors or outdoors.Portions are not particularly generous for the price. The menu is not extensive, but covers the bases. Probably better suited for foodie than someone wanting a hearty meal. Did enjoy the appetizer- fried green tomatoes.

Our new favorite place!! Food was incredible! Service was great! The atmosphere was so lovely and we can't wait to go back! Don't miss the avocado toast, Turkey club, and of course the cookies!!

We have been a few times for lunch. We just love it! Love the interior and space. Wine spritzer and iced coffee great. Food is great and we love everything. The warm chocolate chip cookies to die for. So lucky to have this gem in Austin.

Cozy and cute setting. Overpriced for what we ordered-artichokes presentation was not very appealing and charcuterie board not very inspiring.

Delicious food, lovely layout inside and out, and excellent service both times that I have been here with my family for brunch. Definitely my favorite spot. Scrumptious pastries, yummy french toast, and good-sized portions for the full breakfast plates as well. Coffee is superb.

My husband made a reservation here based upon the reviews and type of food offered thinking it was in the city of Austin (we are not from the area). When our Uber driver dropped us off we were surprised but decided to go with it and we are glad we did! We chose a seat outside in a lovely garden area with a nice patch of grass and plantings. Our server was great as was the food. I especially loved the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES!!!, wood fired artichokes and the shrimp risotto. My husband loved his salmon. We had no room for dessert but ordered some anyway..wound up bringing back almost all of the HUGE BUT DELICIOUS donuts dipped in chocolate sauce and chocolate chip cookie (we ate the ice cream sampler that came with it since it would have melted). We ate the treats for breakfast in our hotel the next morning. Worth the long Uber drive in rush hour for sure.

Birthday lunch for my wife and me on the patio (and a great outdoor dining atmosphere). The woman that greeted us outside was extremely pleasant and we enjoyed the 10 minute wait for our table. My wife had a glass of white wine and I had the Bramble, which was a tequila-based drink that was delicious, served in a copper mug. Our server, Melody, was genuinely friendly, and seemed eager to please. Everyone you come in contact with at this restaurant seems to enjoy working there, which is always a plus. Shannon, who I believe is the manager, was also delightful. The staff appear to be selected, in part, based on their personalities and ability to carry on enjoyable, not pushy or annoying, conversation. The atmosphere is great. The people are great. But, really, the food is better than the great majority of restaurants in town, and in my opinion this place deserves a top 10 rating in Austin (and most everywhere else). Let me start with the coffee. Why? Because so many nice restaurants with great food have lousy coffee. This place has great coffee, which apparently was something that was focused on by the owner. Desert was amazing also, chocolate chip cookies, which I raved about in my review in April when we came for dinner. Best chocolate chip cookie around. I can’t think of a second-best. We had the artichoke appetizer which was perfectly seasoned and the artichoke hearts were tender. The champagne dressing on my wife’s salad was mouthwatering. I’m not sure how they did it, but I would say the green beans were worthy of requesting them next time. The chicken entrée, which was a wood-fired roasted chicken that had a great (artichoke pesto crusted) seasoning, was world-class — tender, juicy, served at a perfect temperature, and was a nice portion size. And, my wife’s gourmet grilled cheese sandwich, on the sourdough bread, was a “yes please,” dish. Crunchy bread (in a good way), expertly toasted, with yummy white cheddar cheese and basil pesto. Anything else? Absolutely! The sourdough bread, brought to the table at the outset, was fresh, slightly toasted, and had a perfect outer crunch. Also, coffee to go and a little sweet treat for my birthday to take with us, was a really nice touch. Very classy! This restaurant is a winner and we will head back again sooner than later. Well done, and three cheers to the chef and staff!

When you step into this restaurant and see the pastries on display, the worries of the world disappear. I don’t think I have ever seen a more perfect, tempting chocolate chip cookie. The menu has many different tasty sounding options. I had the salmon salad. The dressing is outstanding and perfectly portioned. The salmon is well seasoned and has the perfect amount of crisp. It comes with a piece of baguette toast with a dollop of creamy goat cheese. It was a bit cold outside so we dined inside, which is loud and makes tabletop conversation a bit challenging. There is a wonderful warmth in the decor with the fireplace, and it feels so clean. It was full of beautiful people completely enjoying themselves. It is a little tricky to find, but worth the hunt.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner- in a beautiful setting- So good.
I was in Austin last night and had been very excited about going to TB. I am not going to go in to the menu- it is short- but perfect. Everything we had was AMAZING. It was loud, as mentioned, but they are putting in some acoustic fixes on Monday (the 19th of Sept). Such a gem in Austin. Again- food was amazing. Went back for B'fast today- and it was so good. OMG. Simple food, done right, flavor explosion. In a beautiful place... love.
