Things you must know before you go..... 1. It is LOUD in here. That is the first thing you will notice as you walk through the door, which is a shame because it is beautifully decorated and has a great layout with different "rooms" or areas of the restaurant, each giving off a slightly different vibe. There is a back room which almost feels like a patio and an upstairs room which I believe they often use for private parties. This upper room is the only area where you can kind of hear the people you are with but this area was not open to regular dining the night we went. There is a huge bar in the center of the room and nice seating all around. Every table has speakers above it blaring. I am not hard of hearing but you either have to yell across the table or just settle to speaking to the person next to you. This was on a Sunday night. It can really ruin a nice dinner out with friends to not be able to hold a conversation. I wouldn't even consider this an option for a larger party - you will not be able to interact with anyone not sitting directly by you. 2. It is DARK. Ok, I get it's atmospheric but at some of the seating, we were near the main door but up against the windows, we had to use phone flashlights to read the menu. The overall darkness also means that you can't tell if something is dirty. It did seem that some tables had better lighting but not many. 3. It is EXPENSIVE. I don't mind paying for good food and yes, we enjoyed all the food but it's not really spelled out that the meals come with nothing. The waitress had to tell us. So, the steak is just meat, all sides are additional and it can really add up. Plus, because they are very bar-centric, the margaritas and specialty cocktails were on average $19-$24 4. Food and Service - both were good. The waitress was knowledgable and had good recommendations. The calamari was really good, many places don't get it right and it's over-breaded or chewy - here is was tender and crisp. We also had the flatiron steak - good but difficult to see how it was cooked due to the darkness. The salmon was delicious - I would highly recommend it. 5. Overall - We will most likely not be back.

I visited Toca Madera twice last week once for just a few drinks and the place was buzzing so booked it for dinner the day afterwards. Food was good portion sizes tiny and the service was appalling - how can you wait 20 mins for a round of drinks twice? Waitresses all stunning but lack of timely service would keep me away from future dinner reservations

You will definitely enjoy your experience at Toca Madera. Food a cut above, presentation sensational (could not wait to dig in). All food was fresh and well prepared. Now, the margaritas are a little pricey but delish! Get your's with salt (lava salt right in the glass...extra special!

They totally ruined my best friend’s 35th bday. We had signed a contract for 8:30pm reservation for 18 people. The day of the bday they call and tell us where are u guys at 6:30pm because they had our reservation for that time. After waiting for 10 minutes the girl comes back and says we can come in at 9:30pm we had to fight to keep our 8:30pm reservation since we had other plans. We got there at 8:30pm and guess what they did not sit us down until 9:15pm worst service ever and the food was terrible. The queso was full of onions and no cheese worst food ever skip going here.

This is a great Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood. It’s chic and has a fantastic cocktails list as well and some very tasty tacos and other Mexican plates. Worth a try and it also has a good vibe and atmosphere.

the ambience in the restaurant&bar was wonderful. There is a tree in the restaurant and plenty plants on the wall. Light is very well used. Restauran has Modern mexican r cousin. there is a DJ in the house playing great music. Hooters girls are nothing compare the ones here. We are lucky as found table without reservation.I syrongly suggest the food served over hot lava stones.Oaxacan Margerita is my favorite cocktail in the list

The food was amazing - the tacos were amazing, the beef plate was different and very interesting. The hot stone plates were the best however, we ordered the wagyu and the shrimp - but because they were so good, we went and ordered the chicken and another beef. We were stuffed at the end but absolutely loved the meal - would recommend to anyone.

Service was fast and the staff very nice. Food is good... Mexican with a twist. Deco is eclectic. Atmosphere great for drinks and dinner with friends.

The interior design is beautiful. The food is top notch. Very clean and organic. Had a great dinner here. Had a beautiful cocktail called La Bonita garnished with lovely flowers. So good!!!!

While admittedly the food at this small plate Mexican restaurant is pretty good, and it has a vegan menu with some good choices, the volume of the place makes it almost impossible to enjoy. The music is an obnoxious techno-pop, which is blasted beyond the bar area. The menu is small plates, some creative in a good way but others less so. The guac for example comes with plantain chips, and if you ask for plain chips you pay for those despite just paying for the guac. We enjoyed the mole enchiladas, and our dining companions liked the steak. Parking is $9 additional, plus tip. All in all, I would probably give this restaurant a 2.5 if I could and would not return. If you want really good Mexican and to talk to your dinner companions go to Gracias Madre, which was fabulous.

Tasty food. The Service was terrible. The sad part is the wait staff didn't seem to know just how bad she was. Did t bring menus until asked....forgot drink orders....missing in action.

Food was ok. But I was really disappointed in the management. After spending more than $300 on a dinner for four, and doing so in a normal amount of time, the manager told us that the restaurant was busy and asked us to get up from our table. I’ve never spent so much money at a restaurant only to be asked to leave. Was really disappointing to be treated like that. I’ll never go back.

The only reason I gave this place two stars is because of the food. My experience here last night was dreadful. We had made a reservation for a friend's birthday and there was a miscommunication with the date, anyhow, the people at the door were disgustingly rude! I am shocked and horrified by the way the door man treated my group and I. He would not let my friend in because "he didn't have a reservation" and clearly everyone else walking in didn't have one either since this is a place you can also just grab a drink and mingle... I approached this employee and asked for his name and was immediately attacked with insults. I have never never ever ever in my life living in LA been told by anyone that hispanics are too sensitive and need to go elsewhere. Are you kidding!? Who talks to people this way especially to customers. I didn't want to ruin my friend's birthday night so I decided to let this go and have a conversation with the manager instead who was also rude and had no reaction to what had just happened. Luckily, the birthday turned out a success with slow service, but the food was great. I will never be returning to an establishment that treats their customers in such a demeaning way. It nauseates and revolts me that a business with a Mexican style environment is being organized by such an incompetent staff. Please hire qualified people to represent your restaurant at the door who bring a welcoming atmosphere and experienced managers who don't call your clientele liars.

I met a friend here who lives about 5 minutes from here. She said this spot is the latest West Hollywood scene. She is part of the scene. We sit down, and are approached by a serving beauty. We start with their Guacamole and Salsa Flight. I give them average because the salsa was good and original. We both enjoyed it, and the guac was good too. On the Taqueria menu, I had the Chipotle Shrimp. I was disappointed. Part of the soft tacos come with a jalapeno cabbage slaw, well, to make up for the small portion of shrimp, they overload the slaw. I will give them credit. I had two beers on draft, a Modelo and a Limelight IPA. Modelo on draft keeps them at average as well. Once we were done eating, a local celebrity stopped by our table that my friend knew. Even he walked through after we talked, then he left. It's a stuffy trendy scene. I wouldn't repeat, but that's me.

This restaurant reminds me of something you'd see in Vegas. Walk in through the dark wood doors into a moody, chocolate brown and purple room filled with loud music, bottle service looking tables and lots of people. If you are in the mood for a lively nightlife inspired dinner this is the place for you. I have to be in the mood for their environment, but one thing they've got all the way right is their food and drinks. The cocktails are amazing, the food is incredible with traditional Mexican options on the menu, the price is fair and the dessert is amazing.... the churro ice cream sandwich is to die for. I will say that this is a good spot if you are dining alone and want to be surrounded by energy. The bar is perfect for that.

Celebrated NYE here with a group of 8 friends and it was great! Great vibe and food - would come back here for a regular meal. A bit pricey, but I think that's pretty standard for LA. All the appies were delish and the carne asada was especially good too. Service was really good, especially given the gong-show of NYE.

Enjoyed the experience at Toca. The service, drink and food was excellent. The chicken tostada, rice, beans, street corn and the tequila based drinks were must do.

We stopped in for an early dinner before a flight out. Food was pretty good. Each item seems to have a different twist, but it was pretty good. Tapas style which was good for the three of us. Service was a little lacking. She would come by about every three minutes asking if we were ok, but forget what we had asked for the last time. This happened repeatedly. It was good, but not $215 dollars for three people good.

I've been to this restaurant now two times in the same month, based on a girlfriends' suggestion for dinner. The first time, we were without a reservation on a Saturday night and were lucky to find two seats at the bar where you are able to dine as well. The weekends are quite busy. The second time, we had a reservation for 7pm on a Wednesday evening and we were able to sit on the patio which is lovely. All of the food is very fresh, we've tried: Fresh Plantain Chips with Guacamole, Fried Calamari, and various seafood dishes. They also make amazing craft Tequila based Cocktails. We will continue to come back!

Our daughter and son-in-law are vegans and my wife and I are not, so we are always looking for good restaurants where we can all get what we like. Toca Madera is the perfect spot. So many options for us all. The vegan dishes were not just salads with tofu, but wonderful Mexican creations. Great space, with different feels to each room, but all a great fun atmosphere. Service was excellent and a full bar. Each of the four of us selected something different and all four dishes tasted great and the presentation was beautiful. We'd go back again and again. We went for lunch and I didn't think it was too expensive for what we got. A must try whether you're vegan or not.

The restaurant is very trendy and all of the wait staff and many of the patrons are good looking folks. The lights are dim and the music is thumping and it gives off a sexy vibe. The art work on the walls is excellent and the live plants and trees in the back provide a gorgeous setting for dinner. Despite the beauty of the restaurant, the quality and taste of the food is average. I expect better given the price of the dishes. The wait staff could be a bit more friendly and attentive. Valet parking is $9.

Had dinner here, recommended and booked by Concierge at The London, West Hollywood. If you can see past the pretentious clientele, the 'too cool for school crowd' who probably sponge off the parents or trust funds or whatever, then it's pretty decent. Decor and ambience etc are impressive, service was OK, but the food was very good! Cocktail list was also reasonable, but probably on the pricey side? It'll probably be closed in a year when all the patrons find another hipster joint to frequent?! I would recommend, just take it all with a pinch of salt

3 distinct areas, ranging from pumping DJ music, a quieter dining area, to an upstairs space, also for dining. Interesting take on Mexican food, great service. A little pricey. Worth a try

The restaurant apparently turns into a Night Club at 9:30. I didn't experience much of that as I left around that time. Our reservation was for 7 pm. and I really had a hard time enjoying myself as the music was extremely loud and there were speakers on the walls towards the top of the ceiling and placed in multiple places. Yes, I was sitting at one of those tables.. oh well. I believe I would have enjoyed it much more if I was in my 20's or 30's sitting at the bar. Our group could barely hear each other. It is a Mexican style restaurant with what they call sharing (smaller portions). I love Mexican Style food but was not crazy about their food or concept and found it to be very expensive.

I had been looking forward to dinner here. The first impression was the obnoxious crowd. D-bags and the women who flock to them. So much attitude. I was hoping the food would elevate beyond the fellow diners but was sadly let down. The mushrooms were nice but the seabass tacos were average at best. The tortilla shells were mealy and thick. Our server suggested the shrimp special appetizer. Bleh. I won't be going back. Try Petty Cash for some of the best tacos in town.

This is more of a social scene and a club than a restaurant. The food is good, but far from their focus. And while it might have been an enjoyable evening, when seated we were informed of the time we needed to leave, which foreclosed our ability to order dessert or end of meal cocktails. Being rushed through dinner is simply an unforgivable restaurant sin. If I want that kind of experience I'll stick to a drive through.

The food was amazing! Great ambiance. Staff is very attentive. If you have a small party (30-40) people, they have a room in the back that is for you!

Average quality food. Very expensive. Service is terrible. we asked for utensils and they throw them on the table. We were a group of 8 friends and there was not space on the little tables for what we ordered. Music is too loud. Unfriendly staff.

Superb experience, food awesome, bar to good , all plus about this place , had great time family , tender coconut starter was super duper

This is a great place for a night out with friends or a date. The drink options are extensive, the food is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is fun. The front of the restaurant has a lounge area in addition to an extensive bar with great music, while there is a quieter dining room in the back if you're in the mood for quiet conversation. Be warned that on a busy night, your table time in the lounge area is limited to 2 hours from the time of your reservation.

It’s clear that the manager of this restaurant trains the employees to upsell the customers. Our debacle began at the bar while we waited for our table. I asked for several different anejo tequilas…the price of which was listed on their menu as $18. Well, the bartender told me that they were out of all of those- but had some that were $24. Ok, I said. So he pours two (wife and self), and on bill I see I’m charged $27 each. The round of drinks- two tequila shots, one margarita, and one beer came to $88 (before tip). Next came the upsell pitch by our waitress. At every opportunity (how about you add some steak to your chicken order? No, I don’t eat meat much. Ok, then how about you add some shrimp? The manager should realize that people who can afford $300-400 for dinner are smart enough to know when they are being hosed. So, how was the food? Frankly, not great. Won’t be going back.

Toca Madera is a trendy, high-end Mexican food restaurant with a chic aura, beautiful bar, good-to-excellent food, and, usually, very attentive and friendly service. Due to the restaurant's current popularity, they impose a 2-hour time limit on your meal when making a reservation. OK, that's not exactly "welcoming," but the restaurant has their reasons -- faster turnover, obviously, which means more money. I get it. So, if you make a reservation and you're fine with that set-up, great. I have never had a particular issue with the imposed time-limit until last night. Toca definitely lost a step and picked up some bad rep. First, all of our food, except our table-side guacamole, came out before the drinks and were clearly rushed to the table. This was the first indication that our experience would be "rushed." I can live with the food coming out quickly, however, but the "vibe" of being rushed isn't comfortable or pleasant. Second, our table-side guac was not made table-side, and we had to ask for it when it was clear that part of our order had been overlooked. Still, we had a great server, really friendly, fun, and overall excellent (Gino), who helped make for a very good dining experience. Let me first say this. Even though there is a 2-hour time limit and customers agree to it, Toca, please don't expect your patrons to watch the clock and keep track of the time! That's your rule and that's your job. We're supposed to be having fun, right? Or are we only supposed to be helping your bottom line? Because last night, that's how it felt. About 10 minutes after our expiration time, we had not one, but two hostesses come up to us within a few minutes of each other, and rudely remind us of the time limit AND shame us by telling us that another party was waiting for the table. Of course, neither one of the hostesses seemed to care that we hadn't been given our check (first hostess), and then we were waiting for return of our credit card (second hostess). Again, not the job of the patrons. When we attempted to explain that we were waiting to pay, the hostess simply didn't want to hear it, and my friend who was there with me had to cut her off and tell her that she was being rude. We are easy patrons. We make no crazy demands, we don't ask for a "different table," we're respectful and low-key when we're out. Time limit. Fine. But Toca, you need to get your act together. If you want your patrons to leave their tables promptly, make sure you facilitate the process in such a way that doesn't completely ruin the patrons' dining experience. And, better still, please don't be rude to your patrons. It's completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Diners don't want to be confronted or chastised. The fact that I even have to write that is laughable. Get the check to the table when you deem appropriate, and figure out a way to handle your traffic flow better. None of these things are the duty of the paying customer. 99% of our experience was great. Unfortunately, that 1% of rudeness ruined our evening. Every LA restaurant goes through a cycle. They're hot and trendy, then they're comfortably busy, and then their popularity dips. There will come a time when Toca will not have to impose a time limit. I hope, for their sake, they cultivated a regular, loyal clientele that will continue to patronize their business. But, from what I'm seeing, that won't be the case. Hoping for improvement because i really do like this restaurant overall.

Something a bit different. Very good all around. Good service.Friendly staff. Great drinks and delicious food. The churros for dessert are a must. Every one checks on you regularly to make sure you are 100% happy including the manager.

This restaurant is totally amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Loved the DJ and the music kept the Restaurant alive. Beverage choice was Toca Margaritas. We ordered Guacamole, Mushroom and Sweet Corn Taquerias, Grilled Cilantro Chicken Taquerias Enchiladas ++ and finished with Churro Ice cream sandwich Such a great vide

After reading the reviews I was a bit hesitant but turned out fantastic. Went early actually 5:30 so we had there attention. Place fills up quickly it was a Friday evening. Definitely Hollywood crowd, everyone beautiful including the people working. Not slutty and not too clubby and really nice atmosphere! Music was appropriate, food was fantastic. Definitely a great date night.

Enjoyed all of the food we tried. Tacos were delicious and so was the mole. Guacamole was made very well and served with chips and plantain chips too. All dishes were unique and flavorful. Yummy cocktails too.

Had dinner here with two friends this week after a long day at work for all of us. Checked in with the host stand, had to wait a few minutes to be seated despite quite a few tables that were obviously open. Table was good, and the environment was lively—almost to the point of being so loud we had to scream at each other just to be heard. Could be cool for some, but got a bit tiresome for us after a while. Service took a while to even get our order placed, and the wine list was under-stocked so we had to settle for a backup wine at the end. But once our order was in, service picked up and we got all of our food quite quickly. Food was solid. Quite good on the enchiladas and queso. The ceviche was pretty good as well to share to start with. The dessert churro pops were a disappointment for us—basically just a cinnamon-loaded cake pop versus that crunchy fried churro sensation we were hoping for. Overall a solid location for the food and the energy of the place. Just could use some improvements in some areas.

I absolutely love this place. When you first walk in, the marble bar is so cool, it's a trendy vibe with a DJ playing music. It's a club feel. Plenty of lounge type seating around the perimeter of the bar. We asked to dine in the back room as it was a bit quieter. The decor is amazing, there's a tree right in the middle of the dining room. Food is good, not great, but definitely good enough to enjoy your night. Margaritas were delicious. We ordered empanadas and tacos to start. The street corn and black beans are a must. So good! Our main dish was just so-so the chicken fajitas. I wouldn't recommend that. After dinner, be sure to hit the bar and just people watch, you'll probably catch a celebrity or two in this place. Great vibe!

It was so fun the food was amazing they had a DJ with a rock guitarist and a fire eater the place rocked! My new favorite Calif restaurant packed Such a great experience!

This was my second time here. First time was a great experience, so second time was a no brainer, right? Wrong. We had a good server, Gino & food was good. But the hostesses were beyond rude at the end of our dinner. In fact, it wasn't even the end. We wanted dessert, but we had our bill slammed on our table by a hostess, before we could even be offered dessert & then another hostess told us we had to leave, because people were waiting for our table. Ok fine, but, we didn't get our credit card back yet. And yet another hostess came & yelled at us & guess what we yelled back, "We didn't get our card back already!" Yeah, not going back there.

Chic atmosphere, posh Mexican food, gluten free menu, excellent service too. My seared shrimp in a huge bowl of salad was delicious and very healthy. The staff were very friendly. My only criticism is they are slightly too keen to clear the tables before one has finished eating. I would come again.

Amazing ambiance, professional and entertaining with live DJ. Toca Madera was classy sexy! atmosphere and service was on spot; bartender made strong and hearty cocktails. She smiled while serving customers, checked to see how everything was going, love customer service. I strongly recommend TM while eating healthy. I will place this restaurant in the line-up of great food when I frequent Los Angeles.

We were turned away because we were wearing shorts. We were tourists in LA on a hot day and night. Googled 'Toca Madera shorts' and saw images of celebrities in shorts in and out of the place. Thankfully, in our 3 weeks in LA this was the only place that discriminated us. There are a lot of finer restaurants and cafes in this area try Esterel, Berri, Berlin, ROC and Modern Convenience.

For a Sunday brunch, try the enclosed "patio" at the rear of the restaurant. The patio has a glass ceiling, planters on the walls, and is quieter than the front of the restaurant. As to the food, try the chicken and waffle. The chicken breast is spicy, and the cinnamon waffle is perfect. Bon appiteat!

The modern mexican cuisine is great, with super flavours. We came for lunch, not realising how cool the restaurant is. The concept and flavours are great. The service exellent and the environment is modern and cool.

Amazing décor, Very friendly staff, and Awesome drinks. Next time I'll try the food lol!!!! Ace the door guy is the best!!!!!

Very gorgeous, hip, bar/restaurant in West Hollywood. Terrific ambiance, excellent music/dj, and very spacious restaurant. The problem is that the staff is extremely rude. Even if you have a dinner reservations, the hostesses are not willing to accomodate any changes. You will be treated like crap, given complete attitude, and if you ask to speak with a manager, you will be told that the manager is "busy"?!? True story, we made a dinner reservation for 12 people on a Tuesday at 5:45pm. They wouldn't seat us until our entire party showed up. The restaurant was completely empty. Additionally the table they gave us was in the back of the restaurant and not conducive for our party so we politely requested to move to one of the many empty tables. The hostess gave us more attitude and stated all the tables were reserved until 11:30pm. Now the restaurant was completely empty. It was shocking that she would say something like that. Absolutely Incredible how rude and insensitive the staff is at this place. Overall, it a sexy bar/restaurant but don't expect to have fun. Everybody working there makes you feel insignificant and all the food is completely overpriced. If you want to look cool and end up paying top dollar for it...this is the place for you!

We arrived late into town and looked for a Mexican close to our hotel. It was Thursday evening and the place was rocking. No tables but we sat at the bar. We were not disappointed, food , cocktails and whole vibe were amazing. Highly recommended.

Sadly on walking into this place I felt disappointed in the door staff who were pretty rude. Things got better with a lovely waitress, great food which came fast but was delicious and some good tunes being played on a decent sound system and by a live DJ. I'd love to go here on a girls night out or sit round the bar after work. The prices are good and it's nice to feel a party atmosphere. Just a shame about the decor - although once you accept the cheesiness of it - it's actually quite fun. Change the door staff tho! First impressions!

We visited Toca Madera as guests in a party of 5. The ambiance and staff are both perfect. I loved the enclosed patio at the back and also loved the artwork hanging on the walls. We started with their specialty cocktails. I don't drink so they made me a virgin version and it was delicious. Everyone else seemed to enjoy theirs as well. Our host ordered and all dishes that came were Vegan. The food was all very good (we are not Vegans), but I really loved the plantain chips, salsa and Guacamole. I can't say much about the specific dishes as I was not sure what they were, but all tasted great. I can say that the staff was impeccable and I would recommend Toca Madera for any occasion.

We had the guacamole, calamari, ahi, mole, ceviche, chicken tacos and the carne steak on rocks. We had the Winnie the Pooh drink, and the one that’s on fire (I forget the name), and a something like a mule. The presentation of drinks was creative and taste was 7/10... food unfortunately gets a 6/10.. there are other options for better food at the same price point. However the vibe is cool.. if I went back I would just get tacos, guava and some drinks with friends. Oh, and dessert we had the churro icecream sandwich and peanut butter mousse... they came out completely different times, and the sandwich has nearly melted by the time we were given spoons... we had to flag down another waiter for spoons... honestly, I think a mistake like that, it should be removed from your bill.. all we got from our waitress was ‘oops, sorry’... definitely needed some refinement of service from her.

We went to this restaurant as a first date. The restaurant was pretty loud with music and the energy was very good. We were surprised at how tasty the food was, despite the modern decor and loud music. It wasn’t conducive for conversations, but, it was a fun atmosphere with good Mexican food with a modern twist. This is definitely not an authentic experience, but, rather fun and a tasty experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking to have deep conversations, but, for a fun night out with a date or friends, it’s a perfect place.

Visited this very trendy and up class Mexican cuisine restaurant. The vibe is fun, loud, beautiful people and trendy. Food was great and very well priced, but their cocktail list is probably the MOST unique and creative list I have ever come across. We enjoyed a margarita infused with hot serrano peppers, fresh basil and of course the highest end tequila one could ask for. Service from the wait staff was terrific, however, our hostess exuded a tonne of attitude!! She sat three of us on a tiny table meant for 2, and gave us major attitude when we asked to change to a different table suitable for 3 people. Eventually we did end up with a slightly better table, but this could have been completely avoided. Overall: great food, great vibe, amazing cocktails and I would visit again

Excellent food. Friendly service. Only downside is that a lot of the sitting is "lounge style" with small snacking tables. Makes it difficult to indulge in the amazing food. My favorite is the steak, where even the grilled veggies on the side are worthy of being the center of attraction.

Terrible service. It took me a 30 minutes before we even got our first drink. They dragged it out so long until Happy Hour was over and we had to order from their normal, way overpriced menu. Good food and drinks but absolutely not worth the money. Wasted so much time eating around. It’s a wanna be place. For sure won’t come back.

Guacamole is the only reason I would come back to this restaurant. Unfortunately, service was horrible, especially if you are paying $24 for three average tasting tacos with mediocre rice and beans. I had highly expectations that vanished in the first half hour.

Been here on a Saturday evening … great ambience, fantastic food, service gorgeous … in a nutshell, a place to go out for dinner in Scottsdale

Husband and I were spending the weekend in la and I saw this resturant it had great reviews so we thought we would try it out as we love Mexican food!!! It's defiantly unique upscale Mexican food and great if you love to share! The cocktails and tequila list was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome.the staff were organised and everyone was friendly and fabulous. We are from Australia and Defiantly will be back next time we are in la!!!

Had dinner here for a friend's birthday. I was very impressed with the decor and it was definitely a fun place to people watch. Everyone was dressed to impress! The restaurant was packed and we were seated as soon as the entire party was present. Our waitress was very friendly and knew the menu well. The drink menu is impressive and I ordered a spicy drink with tequila, jalapeños, and smoked sea salt. It was divine! I ordered the Caesar salad, the albondigas, and the sweet corn for a side. The food was delicious and everyone at the table was raving about their order. There was a DJ that spun great music and after dinner we stayed and hung out at the bar. I will definitely go back!

Visited here on a Wednesday night with friends for drinks they were very accommodating as were staying close by in a nearby hotel. Went back the next night with friends and they decided it was reservation's only, I could see through the windows and it wasn't busy at all. I get with holding a clip board brings a lot of responsibility but businesses rely on people like me to spend their money, otherwise people with clipboards wouldn't have a job. I think in this case a bit of business sense should have been justified and let common sense prevail. There are a lot better places in the area that welcome you with open arms like Tortilla Republic and will survive long after this business becomes less fashionable. In my line of work as in all lines of business the cream of the crop always rises to the top and this place isn't it, try somewhere else.

Funky cool interior ... great margaritas, guacamole with plantain chips and corn tamales! Looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu! (Music was a bit too loud at lunch)

booked a table for me and my wife for a nice evening out and good dinner, on their website it looks like a good restaurant but in the end it is an extremely lud and crowded place. The music is so loud that we could not even have a converasation without screaming. After the starter we left because we were not able to talk. If you want to eat in a club this is the ight place but not to go out for dinner.

Really good restaurant. Enjoyed the atmosphere, design, service and of course the food and drink. The waiters are very polite and friendly. The dinner menu is very good.

If your wanting to sit down for dinner you absolutely need to make reservations. If you go for drinks and appetizers it is a great spot with lots of entertainment from both the DJ and the other patrons. Great spot for after work.

My husband and I love Mexican food and of course margaritas... so we decided to try somewhere other than our regular Mexican restaurants right down the street. First of all, we showed up at 8 pm... there was already a door guy like it was a night club. He asked if we were alone which we proceeded to let him know we are. Once inside we waited about 20 minutes to get seats at the bar while drinking a margarita. We ordered their Cadillac margarita which was nothing special. After sitting at the bar, it took at least 7-8 minutes for someone to clear the plates in front of us. There was a female bartender was inattentive. I told her twice that we would like to order food and she said she would come back and then forgot because she started serving people around us. There was a married male bartender however that was attentive and recommended some different options for us as we always like recommendations. He recommended the carne asada tacos, Mexican corn and guac. All were ok but again nothing blew us away. Overall the service was bad, its very loud inside, its not cheap and its just ok food. Go to Mercado instead.

Brunch was outstanding! Ordered the avocado toast and chicken and waffles. I usually don’t like chicken and waffles, but these were amazing. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the spicy sauce was the perfect amount. No grease whatsoever! Avocado toast was really good as well, but I definitely ate quite a bit of my husband’s chicken and waffles. It surprised me how much I loved it. Decor is really unique and interesting- lots of skulls, it’s neat. Service was super fast, too. Didn’t have to wait for our food or the check. Not busy on a Sunday surprisingly, because it was amazing. They also had a DJ which was cool. Can’t wait to go here again.

I sat at the very busy bar, and eventually was able to order sea bass tacos and a very good mezcal. Can get loud.

Hard to find a place in Los Angeles that offers something new. With the exception of the unnecessary LOUD music, this is a perfect place to visit and enjoy. The food is different from other run-of-the-mill Mexican. The service is superb. House wine is fantastic.

Horrible customer service. Drinks took 25 minutes to come. Food took over one hour. When asked to general manager a unprofessional guy calked himself Dan claimed he is the manager and General manager walked to our table with his hand in his pocket walking telling us due to holidays it is short staff and if we do not want to come next year it is ok!!! A service business with this attitude does not and should not stay open.

Had chilled eve before last without a reservation. No drama. The place is actually quite nice. Wanted to go back this eve but was refused entry. The bouncer cited the lack of reservation..... The place was empty and the 8 people ahead of us didn't have reservations either!!!! Me and my friends are from out of town but our dollars have the same value! Poor experience and a lot of the reviews on Facebook are similar too. Glad I didn't waste more money in there. Bravo Toca, Bravo. 👍👏👏👏👏

Rocking place. Loud. Quieter in back. Food very good. Drinks good. Lots of staff but at times we could have used a bit more attention. Waitresses in little black cocktail outfits, looked like Vegas, a throwback that rubbed us wrong way. Prob wont go back.

Great food and service Came on a recommendation and could not have been happier. The brunch was good and looking at the dinner menu it was fantastic. Cocktails on point and the music very high energy and well mixed. Highly recommend the place

Spent a wonderful evening here recently while celebrating a birthday in our family. This restaurant offers everything one wants in fine dining:outstanding service, delicious and authentic cuisine, superb cocktails and a very relaxing and unique vibe. The salmon is delicious as are the scallops( as I told!). Their tacos are outstanding as well. The margaritas were the best and another guests enjoyed the martinis. You can easily park next door using the valet. Reservations are recommended.

This dining experience stands out as my favorite so far. The atmosphere exudes a swanky vibe that adds to the overall enjoyment. The bartenders demonstrate their expertise in crafting drinks, and the food dishes are simply excellent. The only challenge lies in deciding what to order, as everything on the menu seems enticing.

Great food great cocktails music too loud and arrogant staff except the bar tenders ! Beautiful decoration

We stopped here for an early dinner before a show at Largo. The interior is really well done. We had a table in the back and it was like sitting in a courtyard. We knew going it this was not inexpensive Mexican food, but were hoping for some real real flavorful takes on old favorites. We were not disappointed. They have an impressive list of tequilas, and we started with a couple mezcal margaritas that were fantastic (Latin Lover and East Los). We shared appetizers of Empanadas Oaxaca and Taquitos El Gusto with braised short ribs. Both were super flavorful. We learned afterward that they also have tacos with braised short ribs, that we’ll definitely want to try on a future visit. We then shared the Chicken Tinga tacos and the Shrimp Ajo Crispy Shell tacos. Again, both were very different with very unique flavor. They’re small, like street tacos, but it makes it easy to share several different kinds. The entire menu is designed tapas style, making it easy to share. They have some more hearty options that we didn’t try, as well as a full vegan menu. But if you’re looking for a really good Mexican and a fantastic atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed.

This place was amazing. Best Mexican food I've had in my entire life, hands down. The guacamole was so fresh and we had it with fried plantain chips instead of tortilla chips. Sooo good! We also had some tacos that were great and enchiladas de Suizas. The meat was so fresh it literally melted in my mouth. Margaritas was delicious too! Definitely coming back the next time I'm in LA.

amazing atmosphere, great food and drinks! We ate at the bar as they resturant was fully booked and the bartender was knowledgable and didnt leave us waiting long!

I love this restaurant the food is delicious. Great quality food and quality service! The drinks are awesome, the bar tenders are generous with the liquor which I love! The ambience is very chic and classy.

Looking for a trendy bar? Hungry at the same time? This is the perfect place. I have been here a few times before and i know why I keep coming back. Great service, good variety of tequila, mezcal and Ron. Tasty food and one of the best margaritas. There are two drinks you MUST try. “The ghost ridder” with its unique flaming presentation and “La Bonita” (pure blue agave tequila, strawberry, lemon juice and basil with a smoked salt rim) The ambiance is superb, good music being mixed by a true artist, Travis Emmons some of the mixes where his own original creations. Worth following! If you are in Los Angeles make sure to check this place out. Near the Beverly Center. Tell Gino Ulti recommended this place. They will take good care of you! Let me know what you think once you have gone! Meet for a drink? 🤓

This place had an amazing vibe to it. The music, decor and people in general gave a really fun, sexy, young, chic atmosphere. I love how authentic the Mexican food is, even if the place is modern. Everything we ordered was great. The hot sauce was Yummy, it was very HOT, and I loved it. My favorite thing that I have tried here is the Amante Picante (spicy Margarita). One the best cocktails I have tried. The service was incredible, (I really wish I remembered her name, I had a lot of Amante Picante) she was so attentive, checked on us bunch of times, and had a fun, positive energy. Overall, I would definitely recommend everyone to visit this place, don't forget to make a reservation, its kinda exclusive.

I had an amazing experience at this place. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the DJ and guitarist provided fantastic entertainment. The food surpassed my expectations, especially considering it was in LA. I highly recommend trying the truffle fries—they are an absolute must!

My 31 year old sister picked this place, I am 20 plus years older and thought I would not like it because it was too trendy and had too much vegan food. Even though the medium age was much younger than me the food was excellent. I am definitely a fan and will be back.

First you have to get past the bouncer and the red velvet rope....yes at a mexican place on 3rd street. Then you have to wait for a seat and a server to sell you the minimum cost margarita of $15. Then the food...it is really pretty good but really small portions and overly pricey. The space itself is also really beautiful too. Too bad it comes with very high prices and a little too much attitude. I went once and will never return and i live right behind it. So sad that it was not a better neighborhood place.

I loved the vibes and the decorations, we ordered the Guacamole and the chicken wings it was bone less and spicy, and the the hot rock with carne asada was yummy and the scallops its a must here, Thanks Cait for the great service 👍

That was awful. First, the host stand can't even handle the basic task that every other restaurant has figured out of remembering or noting guests, and instead basically goes guest to guest the figure out who they are on wait list to be seated. Once seated, our waitress appeared to be high on something with weirdly delayed reactions to basic questions. I ordered a wedge salad with carne asada and my wife ordered the salmon. i also got a margarita and a wagyu taco appetizer. The drinks didn't come out until after we finished chips and salsa and the appetizer. By the way, the salsa had so much salt I think they were trying to give me. coronary issue. A woman then came and asked if we wanted more chips and salsa. We said yes, but 20 minutes later, no chips and salsa. Also, no entrees. 30 minutes later, no entrees. I asked about out entrees, kind of annoyed. Our waitress said it had only been 55 minutes (for a wedge salad and salmon) and the restaurant was busy (not my fault). She said this rather peevishly. Ten minutes later she came back and noted that they had mistakenly but dairy on my salad (specifically noted dairy allergy) and had to remake it. She kindly said she was taking the salad off the bill. The salad and my wife's salmon came, but I then realized that the carne asada had not. I pointed this out to the waitress. About 3 minutes later some burly guy came buy and basically threw down a little tray of some steak slices on our table and annoyedly said "the steak was coming" as if I was totally typical that when you order a salad with steak, that the steak comes minutes later and I was the jerk for thinking / expecting otherwise. The salad was also inedible salty. And the carne asada was about 6 pinky sized pieces of flavorless stead for $17. The who experience seemed like a. bunch of people playing "trendy restaurant" but having absolutely zero clue how to do it and getting annoyed that anyone would expect them to.

We visited this restaurant on Halloween and the Dia De Meurtos theme was a great fit for the day. We didn't have a reservation but were given two seats at the quartz bar with plenty of space for food. The food was genuinely some of the best Mexican I've ever eaten. We started with a big portion of guacamole with crispy plantain chips, spicy salsa and chips, and warm tortilla with honey butter. For mains we chose a selection of their pork and spicy turkey tacos, along with a portion of the black beans. And of course we washed it all down with some of their tequila cocktails. Everything was so fresh and full of flavour.

After traveling extensively getting a meal and experience like this was much appreciated. Portions are well above what you would expect from such a chic place. I was full with guacamole and 2 amazing tacos. Food quality was 5 star service was right up there. Mike and Johnny r great bartenders and fun. A L.A. must visit.

This is such a fun place. We came on a Sunday for an early dinner and it was definitely going strong. If you're looking for quiet, not the place for you. To be fair Maybe on other days but not when we were there. We had a great time! The steak you prepare yourself at the table is a don't miss for sure.

Great overall experience! Great drink choices ( some are on fire!!) High quality food and very good service! A little pricy but the beautiful people make up for it! Would return if in the area.

I will return to this place again and again! The very best food, I've eaten in LA! This place has a great atmosphere along with a DJ of music. The food is at its' very best... I even had seconds. My friends and I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting LA.

Seriously, a cool place if you are looking for a place that offers a new dining experience that combines good food, good cocktails, great atmosphere and really good music from a DJ. Its a bit louder but that just is part of the newer dining scene that you either like or don't. If you are looking for a great evening out and are not worried about a busy place that may not tick all the boxes for a finer dining experience but offers cool people and great tunes, this place needs to be on your list.

We went with friends for the first time and were very impressed with the food quality, despite it being fusion, I thought the dishes were authentic especially the Mole, the tacos, the flautas, and the margaritas were pretty cool. We all loved it and yes perhaps a bit pricey than what you would get in the city of Angels but it was worth it! We had kids with us and got seats in the garden which has a very cool decor. Would definitely be back.

I have reviewed many hotels and restaurants. But this place took top prize in bad service. Service is what distinguishes a good restaurant from a bad one. This place needs a major management shakeup. While the bar scene at this place likely makes it profitable, its only a matter of time when management style infects the entire restaurant. I know I wont be back and I have already told at least a dozen people to stay away, as I am sure the couple we were with are doing with their friends. My review is over the restaurant. Not the bar. This place is more a bar then a restaurant. The bar is very busy with what seemed like no one over 30. Most of the restaurant is the bar area, which has tables to eat at. And is noisy. There is a room in the back which has a dozen or so tables for a quieter dinner experience. The service we received went from bad to worse to outrageous. It was at least 5 minutes before someone came over to take our drink order. We ordered three drinks and guacamole while we looked over the menu. Between 5-10 minutes later they brought over ONE DRINK. After another 5 minutes we asked the waiter about the other two drinks and the guacamole. He went to look into it. After another 5 minutes the two drinks arrived and the waiter took our order. He mentioned we would get “complimentary tortillas”. Before we got the guacamole (now about 15-20 minutes since we ordered it), a server brought out a box with…two cold tortillas for 4 people. We caught a waiter and complained. They said they would bring us some more. Shortly after we got the guacamole and …three hot tortillas. A little while later the waiter who had brought us the tortillas asked if we wanted some more. We said ok and they brought them some time later with our meal but we did not eat them as it was now too late. Dinner finally arrived. at least for one of us . After about 5 more minutes two other dishes arrive. And we waited and waited. Eventually we caught our waiter and I complained about the service. He tried to justify the 3 out of 4 people having their meals as the style of the restaurant (its not quite tapas style by any means). He returned a few minutes later with the 4 entrée and said they would comp us deserts for the inconvenience. Nice gesture but the coup de grace came with the bill. Yes, those complimentary tortillas that we effectively only got 3 to eat for 4 people, they charged us $6. At no time did anyone say we are going to charge you to give you more “complimentary” tortillas. Let alone doing it right from the beginning with giving us 4 hot tortillas. for “complimentary” tortillas? . $6 for 3 tortillas? Or even the 5 extra they gave us over the 2 original cold ones. Are they kidding. Its not the money but the principal of it. We were so shocked we did not complain and just wanted out of the restaurant. As for the food itself, when we finally got it, it was good and tasty although the portions for the price were more like expensive tapas then entrees. And nothing we saw indicated it was a tapas type style nor at the time of ordering did the waiter indicate such was the case. anyway, it was just small portions (not sure how you do an order of enchiladas a tapas but think the size of what you get on a Lean Cuisine frozen dinner). Needless to say we all were hungry but never would attempt to order more food.

As long as one knows the rules of the game, all is well. When one makes a reservation at Toca Madera one is reminded that guests are asked to limit their dining experience to a two-hour span. I have no problem with that since it's stated up front. Upon arrival it's quickly obvious why this is necessary. Toca Madera is VERY popular right now and the joint is jumping. We arrived for early dinner on a Friday. Happy Hour had started and the bar at Toca Madera is very trendy and popular with the young, upwardly moving crowd in the area...everything from young executives in suits to young medical staff from Cedars-Sinai in scrubs to stylish hipsters out for an early start to the weekend festivities. If you are not of this ilk and not an alcohol consumer, this can be a bit daunting. However, you pass through the loud and festive bar area to the dining room in the rear and the noise level drops a bit and dinner can be enjoyed in relative peace. For me, two things stand out about the menu here: traditional Mexican dishes up-ticked to higher level and a decent number of vegetarian/vegan options that are a welcome addition. I ordered all my dishes from the vegan menu and was blown away by how good and tasty everything was. Most commendable! Also, very imaginative cocktails and desserts to enjoy. A fun place with lots more on the menu I want to try. Definitely worth a second visit during the week when crowds might be less rowdy.

Due to unfortunate circumstances (my husband lost his wallet), we were 25 minutes late for our reservation and they give your reservation up after 15 minutes go by. I wish Open Table, the reservation company they use, made that clear. It was packed but they did let us know we could wait at the bar, and then would know in 20 minutes if they had an open table for us. The bar is set up in a large rectangle, with chairs on 3 sides and one side you can stand at. There were no bar chairs available, so we stood at the bar and ordered drinks. I ordered a happy hour bar special Guava margarita that was fantastic, my hubby had a bourbon on the rocks. Our bartender was friendly and accommodating. After 20 minutes the hostess let us know she had a table for us so we were asked to settle our bar tab. Turns out the bartender had taken care of my husband’s drink as he felt bad we’d lost our initial reservation, which was so great of him to do! (We tipped him accordingly). We were taken upstairs to a nice table and had a fantastic meal. The chips and salsa brought to the table were fantastic. I ordered the Jalapeño Asada tacos and my husband ordered the Chicken Tinga tacos. Both orders were of two corn street style tacos, and both were delicious. Our server was great and attentive. Only slight negative would be that the prices are somewhat inflated for what you get. Other than that we enjoyed our food and drinks, and the restaurant has a cool, hip vibe great for a weekend date night.

Appalling experience. I am 71 years old and visited with my business partner aged 36 and my wife. We were told we could not go into the restaurant with tailored shorts and we would have to change into long trousers. Despite the fact the scantly clad lady in front of us was wearing hyper short shorts. Even if we changed we were told we could only sit at the bar. Discrimination or what. We normally spend $200 per head so find this outrageous and discriminatory in 21st century California

Guacamole but with plantain chops, FrenchTtoast/ Tres Leches =Brilliant Just an idea of how they carry along the original Mexican fare and turning it up a few noches., Reaalllly good! Trendy hot spot in a great location. Awesome drinks. Great DJ.

My goal in LA was to eat as much Mexican food as possible. I actually ended up here by accident, I was going to a different restaurant down the street and ended up here. I felt a bit awkward at first because I wasn't quite dressed for such a cool spot. Staff was friendly, food was really good and it was just cool inside.

Good. Pretty good. Definitely not amazing. Bar scene good. Guacamole, very good. The rest okay. Would probably not come back when in town again. Servers were super friendly. 👍🏻

This place is so great. Not only is it visually stunning with all the thousands of different textures on the walls and treatments, Etc. The food is just amazing. Perfect portions and absolutely delicious.

This place is super stylish and manages to bring sophistication and coolness to Mexican food. The tacos have been stepped up and taken to a whole new level. Full of flavour and interesting ingredients . The restaurant has great vibe with a really cool bar with fun cocktails. Toca Madera is the sort of place where you need to dress up, cause you might just stay until closing.

They make really good Tacos and very good variety and fine tacos. They are pretty pricey though. We ordered Taquitos, Carne Asada Taco, Grilled Jalapeno Mahi Taco.

LA native! But I live in Miami Now. I had my Bday party here a few years ago. Recently came back and if you are looking for the best Brunch experience EVER!! Ask for Ryan his smile and charm is all you need! He is very attentive and kinda. Such a sweet soul! If you wonder where he gets it from ask for Gino the manager! He is just as kind! He will make sure ALLL your needs are met and you have a terrific experience! My friends and had a wonderful time! See you very soon Ryan and Gino :) thank you! Of course awesome menu!

What a great all round restaurant. This place grabs your attention from the minute you walk in with its layout and fittings. It has such a great feel and atmosphere it sets a great tone. The service and food was also outstanding which all combined makes for a fantastic dining experience. We are from Australia and would love to come back soon

Wow! Toca Madera, makes for a great social gathering. We truly enjoyed the food & the drinks we had. The place has a such a unique style, I will be back when in LA. Thanks to all the staff!

While from the outside looks like a shuttered nightclub, inside a world of people-watching, contemporary take on Mexican favorites all on 3rd St a revitalizing street in West Hollywood. Upon entry the front room offers a lively bar scene as well as tables. The rear room with skylight and grade and mezzanine seating is great for couples, friends and groups. The menu as mentioned contemporary Mexican i.e. Mexican favorites with a nouvelle twist (I have included a pic of their Churro). The chips and salsa, amazing. The main courses oriented towards sharing with decent portion sizes and fresh flavors. If in the area i.e. close to Off Fifth, Nordstrom's Rack as well as a mall be sure to consider. Only issue, not much time between courses; may wish to advise more time between dishes as more time to enjoy the hand-crafted cocktails as well as both draft and bottled beers.

I went with two other women in our 40s on a Sunday at 6:15. The place was happening. I have never seen such a cross mix of people at an LA hot spot. Beautifully designed. The hostesses were nice and we had a drink at the bar. Great people watching. We then had dinner in the back where it was a little more quiet. This place is loud, there is a DJ. The food was so good. Banana chips is guacamole. Chilean SeaBass, corn tamale and the churro dessert were my favorites. A fun night out.

Place is actually otantic and magical ! DJ is excellent with the last and top songs. Especially mexican foods are so delicious. Workers are so respectful and beautiful also with lovely smiles! Mescal oaxacan margarita really delicious. Prices not high but also not cheap just what you expect! For us its a magnificiant experience! But you dont forget that do reservation before!

After the dinner last night with my husband, I will NEVER go to that restaurant again. Since they open at 5 pm, I called the restaurant to make the reservation for 2 for 7:30 pm. Nobody called me back so I called them and I made the reservation. We were there 7:30 pm and we our waiter came at 7:45. At 8:30 pm the waiter just showed up with the check saying he will leave on the table and whenever we are ready. I didn’t know why he had a check on our table that early. I was drinking my coffee and some lady approached to our table and asked us to move to the bar area because they may need a table. The Restaurant was EMPTY it was even boring. So from 7:45 pm till 9 pm we were at our table. Then we had to leave. I didn’t even finish my coffee. My husband was for Javier’s but I wanted this HORRIBLE PLACE. I was there for New Year’s and so many other occasions. I was telling everyone about this restaurant. But NEVER AGAIN. Don’t go there if you have something special, because you never know. If you love Mexican food go to Javier’s!

What an awesome restaurant. Amazing food. Very reasonable $$. You must book though. They have a different DJ every night. Best deep house tech music. The food was great. Good appetisers and mains. We arrived at 8pm and it started pumping around 9.30/10pm. Staff was good and there is also a free photo booth. Good food good fun and we will definitely be back.

Tuesday nights is packed with beautiful people enjoying the Taco Tuesdays, a great DJs plays all night and the food is really good ! Try to avoid sitting at the bar, the actor "wannabe " bartenders are arrogant and barley serve you while they wait for a producer to walk in and discover them, lol. Toca Madera is worth visiting the decor is fantastic.

The food was so great! They have a decent happy hour with lots of variety! The branzino was absolutely delightful! Took away one star because of the very slow service. The tacos are quite petite, but very flavorful! Overall, a great night!

Really a fun place to go for drinks and snacks and spend time with fun friends. It has a great ambience and a trendy, cool vibe. I like it there.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. We got a nice little table in the upper part of the restaurant which is just a bit quieter and more intimate. Lighting and atmosphere were very romantic and chic. Our server was fantastic. She was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Drinks were great and food was even better! Our friend is vegan and states it's the best vegan food she has ever had! The other three of us had the hot rocks - two of us had the carne asada which was done to perfection and the other one had the jumbo shrimp which was great. We split the flan and the churro desserts and both were delicious and of a good size. It was the perfect little posh restaurant with excellent food and service.

I like the atmosphere here. I come here often when looking for quality food. The steak was very tasty. Many waiters know how to help you, ask you if you like sweet or spicy and then recommend something. Nice place to have a drink at the bar. Great restaurant for a group of friends.

Hard to find a good ratings level when the food is good but the service so compromises the experience. Felt like they couldn’t wait for us to leave and let in the cool kids. Cocktails fun and tasty ($16 range), attractively served. Had guacamole arrive with the cocktails, just ordinary, although the chips were warm and good. Then we ordered and everything we ordered arrived at the same time. Starters and entrees morphed and the too much food at once and the surfeit of plates created a melange of flavors never intended to be together. All individually good but together, a hot mess! If you go here, either ask for a more serial-like service or just order each course at a time, so not inundated with a meal meant to be enjoyed more leisurely in 5 minutes. Was this because they couldn’t wait for us to vacate the table for the next wave of hip patrons, which I guess we weren’t? Idk, but sure felt like that. Spent $600 for 7 of us to dine here. Would have expected more. And, btw, if you want to actually talk to each other, sit in the rear of the spacious restaurant, but if you want to be seen, stay up front. Disappointing. Server should have been forthcoming. But, yes, good food.
Clubby yet classy
We tried all tacos we can try, Bass and chicken are to die for, they just transform those to a high level. Drinks are excellent. One part of the place is clubby but on the back end is more businessy, more quiet high ceiling. However they only give 2 hrs table setting so we had to switch to other place for after dinner drinks as we cant hear each other if we chose to stay at their bar. I love the wall of skull decor they have. Amazing staff.
