The Matcha beer was incredible and the milk toast cream Yuzu cheese is to die for it! Truly an exceptional restaurant with a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

Asian Fusion Options Right Near the Riverwalk

By sundaelay |

I was really craving Asian food. There aren't many options near the Riverwalk. However, I stumbled upon this joint right off the Riverwalk. I am a sucker for Asian fusion food! I went during Happy Hour. The only thing I ordered from the Happy Hour menu was the chicken karaage. It was delicious! The portion is very generous. Each piece of chicken is pretty big. Perfectly fried, but slightly lacking seasoning/flavor on its own, so the kewpie dipping sauce was a great touch. My favorite dish here is the shredded vegetable salad. The vinaigrette they use on it was FANTASTIC! Seriously, it was so much better than what I expected, but everything I had hoped for. Very similar to Vietnamese goi salad. The shrimps are a nice add on at an additional cost. The green beans were yum and healthy. The Krab roll with the crab ponzu butter was really good, especially that crab ponzu butter. I've never tasted anything like it! I started dipping all my food in that butter. The only thing that I didn't really like were the chicken dumplings. The dumpling paper is way too thick for such a small amount of meat in each of them. Overall, I enjoyed the food. My server was kind. The food came out all nice, hot and fresh. The vibe of this restaurant is modern/chic. The booth chairs were not that comfy; I sunk quite deep into them which made the table a bit too high at that point.

Super cute spot to go with family , friends or even on an intimate little date ! Sat outside got to see great views of the river walk and people watch of course. Please forgive me I cannot remember our servers full name but I believe it started with a D she was so kind and sweet very informational and had great recommendations. We tried the kimchi salad , the crab rolls , and spam musabi ! All were a hit perfect snack / light dinner left feeling perfectly full. Would definitely check this spot out , also they have a cute sister a tiki bar to check out as well right down stairs !

Good little place for happy hour. The small bites were tasty. Service was good. Fun people watching as you can watch all of the river walk boats.

We came here on a Tuesday night and the place was packed, always a good sign! The cocktail menu was super creative and fun. The menu was small but awesome. We tried a bunch of different dishes to share, and everything was amazing. Great flavors! Service was great, shout out to Michelle our waitress who guided us through the menu. Highly recommend!

Japanese - Southwestern = Great Mix of Flavors and Food!

Great food! We started with the crispy eggs and they were excellent. Next was the brisket eggroll with a spicy sauce. and it was good. The best was the crispy pork chop (katsu style), large enough to share and came with a fantastic curry apple sauce and pickled red cabbage. Sampled a couple of very good Japanese whiskeys. Mark our waiter was excellent. Give it a try we will be back. Great atmosphere!

Good food/drinks. Pricy

Thought this place was cool. Not a lot of space but they maximized it well throughout the restaurant. Our server Gailen was so helpful to answer our questions and be attentive - with us being there for a friends bday and having a table of 14-18 people, that’s not an easy task but he crushed it. My wife and I split a few things. The pickle plate of picked veggies was nothing to write home about and the brisket egg roll was pretty good, but felt it was missing something to put it over the top. The New York strip steak was so good! Tender, juicy, cooked to a nice medium rare and seasoned ever so well. I tried a friend’s Mac n Cheese and it wasn’t good. As a self proclaimed Mac n Cheese connoisseur, I didn’t like it at all. They attempted the Japanese flare with a full noodle (not sure the type of noodle) but it was rubbery and took like 70 chews to take down one noodle. The libations were cool with several Japanese whiskey options and beers. Overall, a really good experience but felt a little pricy and that may keep us from coming back.

This place was great! We popped in while wandering the Riverwalk and they seated us right away on the balcony. Grace was our server. She was terrific! So sweet. She offered helpful suggestions and recommendations. Hubs had the Mogwai's Night out. He enjoyed that it was sort of sweet on the front and a little spice at the end. I had the Toki highball. I loved how effervescent it was! Literally had smoke coming off while the extra carbon bubbled off. I loved it! Light and refreshing! We shared the brisket egg roll and the house pickle plate. They were both terrific! I could have eaten those egg rolls forever! And I do nitbkniw what the sauce with them was, but wow!!! I sort of thought all the veggies on the veggie plate would sort of taste the same but not so! It is definitely worth try!Grace was so sweet a yuzo meringue pie to celebrate with. I can't wait to go back and try more. The flavors were absolutely amazing!
