Yes, Yes, & Yes!

By Yrstrly |

This will officially be my place every time I am in Atlanta! I was there for the first time on a Saturday night during the M&P fight and was presently surprised! The view from the rooftop patio is Phenomenal! I only snacked that day, but returned on Monday for an early dinner before my flight and again the whole ambiance of the rooftop makes this place special. The BBQ was fresh off the grill and the dessert was great! I will definitely return on my next trip to ATL. FYI, it's right down the street from Turner Field, so on braves game days the parking can be a bit tricky.

Great service and great food

By Mike G |

Just had dinner tonight and the service was outstanding. Our server did an excellent job, she explained the whole menu and recommended things for us to try. Super friendly, I wish I could remember her name, all I remember is that she is originally from New Jersey. I had the brisket with baked beans and collard greens. It was all great. Try their house beer too..

A Gem Next to Turner Field

By rudybeaz |

My family and I visited this restaurant today. We were greeted and waited on by a very friendly gentleman named Alonso. He treated us so well! We had the chicken quesadilla, pulled chicken sandwich and chicken sausage. Let me say that everything was amazing! Their house made chips are very delicious! For the finale we had their peach cobbler. The fresh peaches inside were amazing! The décor and ambiance at this place was great. And, FYI, it's not on Ponce de Leon....

\Great food.Good Price and Friendly Professional staff

By Afonega1 |

Often times small.minority owned business fail at customer service and professionalism. Not here.I was so happy with my choice for my weekly meetup here on a Thursday night pf NBA playoff games a few months ago.I forgot about that when I chose it and the place was crowded. Its kinda of a sports bar themed place so that's to be expected with all the large screen T.V.s and such. We were a group of at least 15 but they went out of their way to get us seats together. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.I wish I could remember her name. The food is so good,Especially the sides which I find at too many places they are mediocre at best,The chef paid attention to every detail it seems because everything I had and my guest had was very good. Parking can be an issue and I do think they should turn the volume down so you can have a better conversation with you dinner guest ,but overall this place is top notch.Kudos guys!

First visit to the Main Street Location

By Nita2013 |

This was my first time going to TDH, and we went to the main street location in College Park, had a great time. The food was great, the drinks were on point, the wait staff was wonderful and the DJ was jamming.. Great neighborhood spot when you need that middle of the week relaxation!!!!

Tasty Surprise

By RacquelAnderson |

Nice food, good atmosphere and good service on the day I was there! This place is very tasty and had a smoked flavored southern cuisine theme. I had BBQ Turkey Ribs that were smoked great and feel off the bone. Mac and Cheese was good and seasoned Zucchini and Squash was perfect! The rooftop is nice but it's Atlanta so the heat was getting to me. They could have turned the air up on the inside not sure what was going on that day but it was rather warm downstairs.

Quick bite

We were in town for the weekend and found this spot in a search on Google for " food near me ". We went for crab legs, but they were out that night. Tried the mac n' cheese, grilled shrimp, smoked wings, spare ribs...all were delicious ! Great soul food spot. Seating was very limited, this is a small local sports bar. Parking was even smaller. We had to street park, since the lot was full and only other option was pay to park. Will go back back if we are in the area, still looking to try the crab legs ! Glad we tried this local spot.

Horrible Service, FANTASTIC Food

By DwyaneD67 |

I walked into the restaurant and no one greeted me or said to seat myself. I had to chase a waitress down and I don't even know if she heard what I said because it was loud and she never stopped to properly answer me. I seated myself at the bar, where I waited. And waited. And waited. The gentleman sitting next to me told me that the place was always like that, and that he was a regular. I couldn't even get a menu from the 3 people who I saw behind the bar that never even looked my way. The guy gave me the menu orally, and after a very long wait, Ashley the waitress was finally corralled over to take my order. She was very stoic, he said she wasn't having a good day, but I finally got my order placed. Had I not taken an Uber, I would have left, but I was out of town and the place was close to where I was staying. I have to say, the wait was well worth it when the food finally reached its destination. It was the best smoked wings, mac and cheese, cornbread and banana pudding cheesecake I had ever had. It is sad what I had to go through, but again, the food score is off the charts.

Father's Day Dinner Take-Out

By cyntaylex |

Being the only vegetarian in the family, I was very excited to find out that none of the side had any meat in them! I was prepared to feast on salad but was also able to eat some of the sides and they were awesome! Parking is a challenge so be patient or park across the street.

3 Words... DRY RUB WINGS

By Broderick Santiago |

Stopped in for a post Falcons game bite and beverage. The place is small but nice and has rooftop seating with views of the city. A regular patron HIGHLY recommended the dry rub fried wings but warned me that they can be addictive. He was absolutely spot on. The wings were AMAZING! Woke up the next morning thinking about them. I highly recommend this spot for some great food and hanging out.

New location in SW has good space and atmosphere

By worldtravela69 |

We had more drinks than food but the upstairs terrace is better for that given the layout and the amount of smoking. DJ's pump old and new school to create a fun atmosphere. Service is attentive and consistent. Not upscale but a fun night out

Delicious, savory, smoky perfection!

By caseyh06 |

Atlanta Burger Week brought us here but the amazing food will ensure our return! We didn't know what to expect when we arrived at the restaurant (which was a bit confusing to get to from the highway, but we made it). We did have to pay $5 for parking by Museumbar but my understanding is that there is free parking on the street somewhere. When we stepped out of our car, we could smell the delicious fragrance of smoked meat. The inside is cozy and there is a warmly lit bar with a few beers on tap and a full bar selection. We got the "Monster Hank Burger" which was amazing! Two patties with some succulent pulled pork and bacon in between, topped with cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and jalapenos, sandwiched in a toasted bun. I was impressed with the rich flavor of the smoky pulled pork and bacon. We also got the mac and cheese which was great too! After the meal, I was pretty stuffed but I could have definitely eaten some more of that pork because it was so delicious. The service was great too--everyone is really friendly and made sure we were enjoying everything. There is also a rooftop bar which has a full bar and a nice view of the baseball stadium. We went on a Monday night so it wasn't crowded at all but I can definitely see it being popular on weekends, especially now that the weather is warming up. If you go to a game at Turner Field during this final season, make sure you come check out this place! We will definitely be back.

Smoked Wings!

By Bernard H |

This spot is very deceiving from the outside The interior is very well decorated and it has a rooftop bar. The smoked wings were amazing. They don't need sauce but paired with the mustard bbq sauce, they're even better. The fries were seasoned well and the zucchini and squash medley was so good. They char them on the grill. I'll definitely be back.

Authentic atmosphere

Great atmosphere with local people, good service and nice music. The pulled turkey and chicken are great. A fantastic place to spend your evening at!

My Food Experience

By DeAndria A |

This place has excellent food! The wings, collard greens, Mac& Cheese, corn muffin, pound cake, and nachos lol just some suggestions. My only complaint is that my family and I had ordered a to go order that took over an hour to receive because the waitress never checked on our food. When I complained to the manager he went and got our food immediately. It had been ready but the waitress never brought it to us. The manager was nice in accommodating us with drinks, dessert, and a sincere apology. Overall I would give them another try!

New policies are ridiculous!!!

By Montoya S |

Found out they have now switched from a restaurant to a lounge so they can no longer provide you ice water even if you do not drink bottled water. I bought friend a meal and a cocktail, since I was not eating. I ask for a cup of ice water and they only gave me ice but now water per their new policy. Spent $60 due to a mandatory 20% gratuity but could get a cup of ice water while there. Make it make sense.

Really good food, my kids loved it

By WestTN |

There were 5 of us, and we tried a variety of meals. We exchanged some samples to try various things. The smoked dry rub wings were awesome! I also enjoyed the shrimp tacos. I went there on a second trip and had the pulled turkey tacos which were great. They out their own spin on BBQ meals and sauces, and it works out well. The kids couldn't wait to go back again.

Dinner

Great little place! Very Clean, great service and great food. Good quality and great tasting! Affordable, full bar, cold beer! When in Atlanta and your looking for a very local Burger/BBQ joint don't think twice! Go for it!

Over IT!!

By Crystal E |

Over Atlanta Lounges Restaurants or whatever they are!!!! Not really a critic of restaurants/lounges but In this case I felt compelled! Been coming to TDH since it opened and as a matter of fact I celebrated a couple of birthdays here !! I decided to pull up and grab a drink and a bite to eat for happy hour…. Welp I missed happy hour by a hour 🤣🤣. Nevertheeless, it’s 100 degrees outside and I found out today they don’t even offer water as an option! You have to purchase a $5 bottle of tap water bottled up pretty. But the kicker is I ordered a pulled chicken plate which the smoked chicken wasn’t bad but I had to pay extra for a bun to put it on , there was an additional charge for extra bbq sauce as you only get one small 1oz container, the sides were baked beans which were ok , MacNcheese was totally tooooo starchy 🤮. I opted to sit upstairs in the rooftop area to totally catch a vibe (RIGHT) well as my luck would have it …… As soon as my food comed we were totally totally attacked by flies! All the extra fees and Noooo insect traps! Over IT !!! Won’t be back

Quality BBQ with a Twist

By Torrie W |

The food here was amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. The waitress was amazing, she even gave us corn muffins to sample before ordered them. I added the coleslaw to my sandwich for an amazing twist.

We lucked into this great little resturant

By BruinSeniorTraveler |

Tom, Dick, and Hank was a Google “restaurants-near-me” 4-star choice that we located on our way into town from the airport. It is easy to miss this place. It is on Ralph Abernathy Blvd. in a small, aged building with limited parking and very little exterior ambiance. Shay was our waitress and she was delightfully helpful. I had the BBQ chips, which although it is a starter, was a large platter of homemade fried chips covered in smoked pulled chicken, cheese, and chopped tomatoes. It was outstanding. It is a full meal without question. My wife had the smoked pulled chicken tacos which were equally tasty but consisted of two taco shells filled with shredded chicken lightly covered with BBQ sauce. No tomatoes, lettuce, or cheese. She enjoyed it nevertheless.

BBQ Nirvana

By Mike H |

Don't blink or you will miss this place. It is across from Krispy Kreme. I am a BBQ enthusiast and Tom hits a home run. This is the only spot I have ever had Turkey Rib and next to good burnt ends, it is now my favorite. Everything is takeout and very well priced. You will not be disappointed!

Great Food Great Service

By livelife h |

This was a nice place has a roof top. Has a real intimate setting we celebrated the Birthdays of my company. Food was affordable and was delicious.

Bad service, bad food, bad practices

By JDK1969 |

Bad service. Had to ask someone to wait on me and then food came and had to find utensils to eat with, had to take my drink to the bar because it was diet and I ordered regular. Mac n Chz had a hard cold crust, the beans were really good but the pulled pork that had waaay too much fat had a soggy bun, was cold, didn’t have bbq sauce and had a very small beetle looking bug in my sandwich - server seemed not to care. Said it happens when ya sit outside. Except it was under the bun so ??? They ad a 20% gratuity so there is certainly no motivation to actually provide service. Keep driving and find something else..just left dinner and im heading to McD’s to get food - that’s sad.

Tom Dick and Hank --- Have you met them?

By Monica S |

I actually stumbled upon TDH while trying to visit another spot close by. Well the other spot was having a private party so I walked into Tom, Dick and Hank -- and man am I glad I did! The first time I went, I sat at the bar and had a craft cocktail while I checked out the menu. I ordered smoked wings, mac and cheese and collard greens. The food came out looking delicious and once I bit in to the chicken I was hooked! Been there several times since and almost always order the same thing cause it's so dang good! LOL! The rooftop upstairs is really cool because it overlooks Centennial Park and if there's music in the park you get the benefit of that while you're on the roof. Took a girlfriend her daughter and my son last night and I switched up a little...still got the mac and cheese and collards but this time I had the fish and we got a couple orders of the dry rub wings as appetizers. Yum, yum and yum some more! But no since going on and on about the place - just go and check it out for yourself -- and you'll see what I'm talking about! :o)

AWESOME!!!

By Karen J |

Before we flew out for our vacation to the Dominican Republic, we all met for dinner at Tom Dick and Hanks, and it was a Great Experience!!! The smoked wings are awesome, everyone ordered something different and everyone was extremely pleased. The Greens, and Mac & Cheese were also excellent, and some people in our travel group ordered a second plate. I am looking forward to my next visit, I just wish they were open for lunch!

Hands Up

By nabenom |

Or maybe a better title is Not Going Anywhere. They better not. March yourself right in here and get sum. Then make a blockade outside to keep them here. This is hands up and down, some of the best barbeque I've ever had. It's simple, straight up, cramped and crowded. It's a bar, a patio, a place to be kind to strangers and friendly with everyone. I'll come here every trip to Atlanta. If I lived here, it would be my once a week hangout. We sat on the balcony in the temperate sweet air. A light breeze moving pleasantly over the wood and peopled scene. Turner Field gasping it's last on the horizon and the city framed out before us. Hardwood stairs separated our little clique from the other great crowd downstairs, but we were all there together. The place brought us there and held us like we were dancing in the streets. I had the pulled turkey sandwich with the homemade chips. My tablemates had pulled pork sandwich with fries and wings. We always make agreements to share. The chips had a barbeque rub on them and were delicious. The fries were recommended by the waitress and were every bit as good. I was stunned by how good the homemade cole slaw was. You'll never catch me with it on my sandwich, until now. It wasn't southern. It was completely excellent. I can't say enough great things about Tom, Dick and Hank's, you'll have to show up. Oh, the recommendation to go there? It came from the parking lot attendant next door. The guy said it was the best. He knows his stuff.

Minority owned happy hour spot

Vegetarian-Friendly BBQ

By Amy Arr |

Excellent vegetarian options, and my meat eating colleagues were also happy. Friendly service and good drinks. Wished there had been room to sit on their 2nd floor patio — with DJ spinning and drinks flowing, that was the place to be on a warm spring night in Atlanta.

Nice surprise!

By Zimbim |

It’s a local type of pub with great food!! We stopped by because we were going to a concert and ordered the wings, quesadilla and nachos made with potato chips and brisket. All were really really good!!!

Good BBQ

By SmartGenius |

Had this barbecue, new restaurant that I have not been to. The flavor was pretty decent and the portion sizes of the plates were also adequate for eating and getting full.

False advertisement and incorrect information given by staff

By Roslyn R |

Went to celebrate my son birthday .prior to purchasing a $100 certificate from restaurant.com I called a spoke to someone at the establishment. I informed her that the only chioces that were offered was $10 and $15. I was informed that I could print in inclement of (6) for 15 and (1) for ten now after eating and presenting the certificates to be told by the owner RICHARD. that he could not honor. This is very unprofessional because a customer should not have to be forced to pay out of pocket when that had the certificates. To make matters worse he kindly adds tip to total. I have contacted restaurant.com ad exchanged all my other certificates. Oh yeah the waitress was nice until she tried to hit on son in front of his wife. Never again

Good Stuff

By Pearl B |

Stopped in on yesterday with a friend who had suggested I check out the place. Very reasonable priced items, friendly staff and tasty food might I add. I ordered the smoked wings, greens and Mac & cheese which I immediately clobbered down as I was famished, the corn muffins are delightful, I could have eaten a dozen of those alone. The rooftop is a draw but I dined in the heat of the day, consequently I opted to eat inside instead. Overall I give them 2 thumbs up, signed a satisfied first time customer.

Smoked Chicken Wings

By Yolanda T |

This place has the most awesome smoked chicken wings. They are DELICIOUS!!!! What I love the most is they are not smoked too hard. They are tender and juicy.
