Tommy Bahamas bar has been popping up everywhere and we are fortunate to have one here in San Diego. You can have retail therapy and enjoy food and drinks! Located inside Fashion Valley Mall at the corner next door to Vince and across from Loft. There’s a large u-shape bar seating in the front and tables in the back/side. Live music as well and of course the retail store. Happy hour is daily from 3-6pm at the bar. There’s also daily specials from M-Th for drink and food. I came on a Thursday so it was $6 house Rita which is their lime version. Food was $6 any taco but the filet. You pay and order your first order at the bar. Then sit anywhere. From there, you can order more from your table. We came here for drinks. Got the Rita. It was nice ambiance with live music. Aside from their daily specials, the pricing here is a bit steep but understandable because of the tourist area and the name.

I had a great time. Good choices of beer and as well everyone was great. Alfonso treated me amazing. Everything was just a great experience. This guy can put a smile on your face even on your your worse days

I was able to snag a barstool right on the corner of the outside bar during Island Time Happy Hour 3-6pm every day. There were no food specials but my favorite Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager draft beer was $5. I was waiting on my appt at the Apple store so this was a good way to kill some time and it was great fun people watching. It's right in the middle of Fashion Valley Mall on the lower level. Who doesn't need a beer break in the middle of the day?

I felt like we were lucky to be waited on by them like they were the customer. Drinks aren’t cheap my wife says we always need to tip. I wouldn’t have done anything

This place is always good vibes . You can get away from the busyness of the mall and relax with some quality food and drink . On my most recent visit Zach and Monica provided excellent service as well as quality conversation and made me feel right at home .

On Tuesday night, singer Melody and Waiter, Aleks, and others really did an awesome job in giving us a "chillax' environment to enjoy company of friends, fantastic food, and marvelous live entertainment. Definitely one of our "go-to" places!

I stopped in for an afternoon refreshment. Cucumber Smash (hold the cucumber) sounded like something I would enjoy and it did. But, since it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), I also enjoyed a couple of shots of Patron Anejo. Very smooth and quite tasty. I also had the Buffalo Cauliflower and a quesadilla. All in all, it was the right choice and not very crowded.

The Marlin Bar is an escape. It’s has a laidback, island feel with the cuisine to match. Interesting choices from Cuban sandwiches to ahi poke bowls, filet mignon tacos, and mix of appetizers. They have the BEST frozen Mai Tai’s (one is enough; two is a party) and incredible desserts (try the Key Lime Pie). On top of all this, their waitstaff is professional, friendly, and happy to help with recommendations.

Live music Monday, day after Christmas, was a bonus! Enjoyed the fabulous Mai-Tai and some blackened MahiMahi tacoes

I felt like I was sitting on the beach getting served my favorite food and drink. The staff were very friendly and quick. The whole experience was top notch.

Unfortunately, it's getting popular. The reason is its fun and friendly. Drinks are good and food is reasonable.

My wife and I decided to stop for lunch and the Tommy Bahama "Marlin Bar" was our choice. We received the various menus and time to make our choices. My wife chose Sangria and I ordered a very dry Martini with Hendricks gin. Both drinks were excellent. Our lunches were a Chopped salad and a Cuban Sandwich. Both were excellent. We were glad we stopped for lunch.

Have been here several times. Unexpectedly great drink AND food! Have tried several menu options and have never been disappointed. Very happy that they are dog-friendly—my Yorkie loves it here, too! Great service from Zach and colleagues!

I forgot I was at the mall. Zach initially welcomed us and made it comfortable from the start. Food was surprisingly amazing and planned on being out in 30 minutes. We ended up staying for hours. The ambiance was so fun with the live music and the heaters surrounding the place. I’ve been before but will definitely be back frequently. The cherry on top was the check ups and great conversation from not only our bartender Zach, but the manager George. please please check it out if shopping or close by!

We have never had a bad experience here. Love all the employees. The service is excellent. The food is excellent. Love the fillet mignon steak tacos. Best we ever had.

NOE is an excellent bar tender and server. This is the second time we've had him. He not only makes excellent drinks, but serves both drinks and food with joy and compassion. Having him as our server at the bar always enhances our experience and enjoyment. A great way to relax after shopping

Sat at bar for 5 min when there were only 3 customers around the bar. While 4 workers behind the bar and no one asked me if I needed anything. Weird. So I left. Went back to shopping But the workers were having a good time chatting with each other. I came back and was served quicker but when explaining the lack of service I had earlier the bartender didn't want to hear it. Just tell me what you want. .food and drinks are really good.

Always enjoy going to Tommy Bahama's, this time in the Fashion Mall in San Deigo. Very friendly bartenders, and quick with their service. We enjoyed their "Nashville" Hot Chicken Sliders, Cajun Crinkle Cut Fries and Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos. Outside covered seating adjacent to the store on the ground level, of course ample parking being in the mall ( blocks from Hotel Circle )

We are so happy that Tommy’s Marlin Bar has come to Fashion Valley Mall. It is one our favorite place to get drinks and appetizers!!!

I love this TB store...it's my favorite. The added side restaurant is a nice touch; even though it is small the food and drinks are delicious! We had coconut shrimp and cocktails - so good!

Every dish and cocktail was great! The service was awesome. We will most definitely come back soon!

I had such a pleasant lunch today at Tommy Bahama Fashion Valley. The Mai Tai was perfect, the shrimp bowl was tasty, and the service team of Monica, Nick, Zach, and KT all worked together to deliver a wonderful experience. Thanks to all!

i’m a regular.. but Monica and Zach know my drink and always takes good care of me. In fact, the staff here is always friendly and fun… This is the only bar I will come solo because it’s a great atmosphere with great drinks. I love this place. Coconut Cloud is 10/10

It was a nice place to stop and take a break, during the Christmas rush. All of the staff were friendly and allowed us time to decide on what we wanted. The food was excellent! We have stopped at the Marlin Bar, quite a few times and everything on the menu has been wonderful.

My sister and I did some shopping at Fashion for our upcoming trip and we decided to stop and have a drink/snack at this bar which is conveniently located in the middle of the mall. We sat at the bar and were helped by D'Sean. We ordered the grapefruit basil martinis which were delicious. D'Sean made sure we liked our drink and was very helpful when we were deciding on an appetizer. We went for the jerk chicken wings which were super crispy and flavorful. I love blue cheese with my wings in which he informed me that they didn't have. He offered to bring me blue cheese crumbles in which I mixed in with ranch and that worked! He was very friendly, professional and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be back and hopefully it's a day he will be working!

I loved the store! The styles were many that I have not seen in the Honolulu store. I loved the vibe and the restaurant attached! I felt like I was in a very tropical location and the staff were great! I had a $50 card that I left in Hawaii but they looked up my name and I got the discount! I love the Tommy Bahama Store in Fashion Valley. They have a good selection and the employees are really helpful! Also, if you have time stop and get a bite at the bar.

Amazing and marvelous experience, totally unexpected in a mall eatery! We were looking for a different restaurant and noticed how clean and appealing it was. The bar area was attractive, and the restaurant seating inviting so we looked at the menu and found all kinds of good healthy and tasty options. Such nice service! Clearly very well managed, everyone was kind, hospitable and good at their jobs. In particular a big shout out to Justin, Tom and Monica, who were above and beyond in seeing to our happiness and comfort. The food was fabulous, we had wings with the jerk rub and a mango and chicken salad, mahi mahi tacos, and burger sliders. All were excellent. Even had a shared slice of the signature piña colada cake, yummy! Plus, excellent live music every day. It was a truly unexpected quality of experience in a mall and we will be back again!! Kudos to this team for clean facilities (restrooms were sparkling) and excellent customer care!

The food and drinks were phenomenal (didn’t expect it to be) , but the staff really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with everything. We will be coming back for the delicious martinis and food for sure!

I live 45 minutes away but always stop here when I’m close for the coconut cloud and tater tot’s. The other main stand out is the exceptionally amazing service at the bar. Everyone helps everyone and it’s perfection. Love this place.

This place is a great little spot to visit in the middle of fashion valley mall. It’s newer, it’s cute, it’s clean, and the drinks are yummy! Take a break from shopping and get a drink, bring your husband and let him get a drink while you shop! Stop by and have a drink before you go to the AMC movies It’s a fun little place, on the corner in the middle of the mall also great for people watching!!!! 😂

I typically want to sit down and be served, but this was nice and easy. It was great to sit outside. The food was really good. I had the mango salad and my friend had the poke bowl, but great. We both had cucumber smash cocktails. Yummy. We were celebrating birthdays and tried key lime pie (the WINNER) and Pina colada cake (which I expected to like the best).

Zach was wonderful! He took very good care of us and made our experience fun. He was a true delight and was incredibly thoughtful with his recommendations and consistent check in .

We held our end of year appreciation dinner for our office here last night and I can't rave enough! We were a large party of 25 (reserved ahead) and everything was set up for us when we arrived. Tom, Izzy and Janae were absolutely wonderful! They were highly visible, efficient and friendly. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner, with everything tasting incredible. Most importantly, the Big Bosses at our table were very pleased with the experience. Thank you to the staff for putting up with us and giving us a seamless meal. We will definitely be back!

We went to Fashion Valley specifically to go to Tommy Bahama store and decided we were hungry when we arrived. From the moment we sat down at the bar we felt like we were regulars. Everyone behind the bar came over chatted and checked on us. Zach and D’Sean were so sweet and kind. They visited with us and even taught us some history about Tommy Bahama❤️ The Manager George stopped by and wanted to know how we were doing and actually stopped to listen. What a treat today! We loved every minute of our time at the Marlin Bar and shopping in the retail store! Amazing team that clearly cares about their customers and each other!

Horrible service... drinks very water down... beer glass was hot , as for a new beer in a cold or regular glass and bartender told me I was being picky.. really ??? Food wasnt anything special . Mediocre at best. We saw 2 other tables leave without being waited on after 10 minutes. Mentioned it to our waitresses and she said it was her problem cause it wasn't her area..

My friends and I are obsessed with this vibey, casual dining and scrumptious outdoor restaurant in Fashion Valley, San Diego. We regularly meet up here for a delicious lunch, dinner, or just to get away. We often bring our laptops too because it's a fun place to get things done--and I'm here for all of it. We also enjoy fun chatter and banter with other shoppers (or hubs and wives who need a drink) between getting our "shop on" at the incredible FV stores. We especially love hanging with the bartenders and servers who take expert care of their guests--the food and drink here always deliver! The blackened shrimp chopped salad is a fan fave and their Marlborough Sauvi B from Spy Valley is on point! (It's also on their happy hour menu from 3-6, which is rare...no more crappy chardonnay HH here.) The entire bar crew is amazing: Zach, Mariah, O'Sean, Edward, Manny, and many more who are under the expert eye of George, the restaurant manager, make sure everyone feels welcome. They deliver exceptional experiences EVERY TIME to EVERYONE. Pro Tip: Come early to find a seat at the bar. The live music is a bonus too -- it's hot and happening here at the Tommy Bahamas Marlin Bar in FV....COME ON OVER, GET SOME WORK DONE (or not), AND HAVE SOME FUN! My wife and I had just finished a small shopping spree at Tommy Bahamas (next door) and thought the best way to celebrate our latest purchases, was to have a beverage before heading home. My wife had a Margarita and I had a Cucumber Smash (less the cucumber). We also had the Buffalo Cauliflower for an appetizer. Everything was excellent (as usual). The staff were helpful and very courteous.

I was greeted when I entered the store and promptly helped with my return. The cashier was efficient and friendly!!! I will definitely return to make a purchase!!!

My husband, sister and I went for their happy hour and we were very impressed! The service was excellent (thank you Joe, Zach & Ang!), the drinks were tasty (+ strong) and you can’t go wrong with the coconut shrimp! We were having such a great time sitting at the bar chatting and enjoying the live music that we didn’t end up making it into any of the stores that we originally planned to stop by, haha. Looks like we’ll need to plan another trip (back to the mall), get the shopping done first and then celebrate with Mai Tais and coconut shrimp!!!

I just came for the first time to Tommy Bahama with a friend who is a regular. She said that service and drinks had never been better so I had to see for myself. I was taken care of right off the bat by Zach, followed by Makayla and Aleks. I personally work at a fine dining restaurant and this was no different, even though it is in the mall!! Food and service unmatched. Clayton the manager stopped by a couple time to make the experience that much better. Thank you and will return!

We visited the Marlin Bar while in San Diego for a water polo tournament. The food was fantastic and the service both while eating and shopping was amazing!

Change of management I've noticed the customer service is average. They don't stay up with the rewards visits.

Popped in to listen to some lovely music with a friend. Opted for the tuna style tacos, which were very nice. They make an excellent margarita, have a few a nice wine selections, and the service was great, with several waitstaff checking on all the diners regularly. I will definitely be back soon. Zach was working the bar and very personable and knowledgeable .

Who would have thought that Fashion Valley Mall would be home to a little slice of Aloha. The Marlin Bar at Tommy Bahamas is the breath of fresh air for the mall. It’s a quick escape to paradise, if only for a hour or 3. Hands down their classic Mai Tai is delicious. Having lived in Hawai’i, I know when this cocktail is done right. They also have a frozen Mai Tai, which I’ve yet to try but I’m sure it won’t disappoint. But if this isn’t your preferred drink, there is a nice selection of other signature cocktails, wines, martinis, beers and whatnots. To accompany your libations, there’s a nice selection of good eats - from snacks to desserts. The “World Famous Coconut Shrimp” as touted on the menu defiantly lives up to the title! They’re perfectly battered and fried, but not too sweet. You won’t want to share this appetizer so make sure your friends get their own! The Ahi Tuna Mini Tacos are also a must! If you’re not into seafood, then make sure to try the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders. If you’re lucky, there will be live music to serenade your time there. What are you waiting for, go get your aloha fix!

I’ve never been happier with a bar’s food and service. I’ve only been to the full restaurant in Newport and was confused with the smaller menu, but happily surprised yesterday… I usually get the goat cheese dip and they heavily recommended the corn dip they have here at Marlin bar, which was AMAZING! I was taken care of by Zach, who had provided the best service I’ve had from Tommy Bahama and beyond in at least the last year. He was professional with some very refreshing humor. Will come back to SD again soon and this will definitely be a go to for me!

My husband and I ate lunch at Tommy Bahama’s Fashion Valley this past Tuesday. We had such a great experience with Nick and Jake, great service, food and Melody sang and played guitar beautifully! We stayed for several hours met some wonderful guests. Bought some nice clothes. We left, and decided to go back for dinner! We’re natives of San Diego, it felt like we were on vacation. Really fun day! We’ll be back!

My wife and I, stopped for afternoon drinks and food. We had a great time at the Tommy Bahama's "Marlin Bar." We stop here often. The bartenders (Victor and Monica) are really great and friendly. They are attentive, but not pushy. The food was also wonderful. You should try the Blackened Shrimp Chopped Salad or their latest revision of a chicken quesadilla. And there other items on the menu are great as well.

Great selection of men and women clothing accessories. The sale associates are very friendly and helpful. I like to pre-shop online but go into the store to try on and view in person for my purchases

Nya is so personable and attentive. She offered us last call on food and drinks, and got us anything we needed. Her personality is warm and so sweet and kind. We all want a server like Nya and we’ll be back for sure! The food and drinks were great as well, and the live music was soooo good tonight.

Zach, Joe, Victor, and Zahira were great and very friendly. The drinks were on point and the atmosphere was perfect. The food was great! Definitely be back!

It may seem a little weird at first with a clothier hooked to a bar.... but it was outstanding food, outstanding service and the live music was also excellent.
