Amazing as always!

We come here every time we are in town for an Eagles game and it never disappoints! The roasted pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe is outstanding!

Roast Pork!

By Daniel A |

As a fan of Roast Pork sandwiches had to make it over to Reading Terminal to give this version a try. I got here on a Thursday around 1 so expected it to be busy with a wait but not so much. Most likely given current times. So ordering was fast and easy. I got the Roast Pork with greens and provolone. Pork was just right seasoned and cheese and greens gave it the extra kick. Not a huge sandwich & had a good meat to bread ratio and the roll was super soft and fresh. One of the best I’ve had! Gentlemen behind the counter were friendly. Added to the list of must stops when in Philly!

Overrated

By harpazhadar |

This sandwich was such a let-down… totally disappointed – tasteless meat with broccoli!!! And was served with a little hair on the side… really don’t understand the hype of this place – do yourself a favor and try the Philly tasty cheese steak instead!

Not a cheesesteak

By iTraveltheworld195 |

Since I arrived in the Philly area a few days before my visit to DiNic's I kept hearing that the roasted pork sandwiches with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe are better than a traditional Philly cheesesteak. NOT...or just not my thing. Came to DiNic's because they are touted as the expert on this roasted pork sandwich. I found the pork to be a bit dry (yes, there was plenty of juice on it to make the bread soggy-yuck- but the meat itself was dry). With the sharp provolone on the bottom, I barely tasted it. The broccoli rabe (greens) were fine but a bit bitter for my taste. They have sport peppers on the counter for you to add to the sandwich, if you want some spice. I found they did help the flavor of the sandwich for me. They also have three squirt bottles of sauces - one a homemade ketchup, one a hot sauce and the last a spicy mustard. Of the three, I liked the spicy mustard the best on the sandwich. But really never found a way to raise the sandwich to the level of the almighty cheesesteak. Loved our server though. Super friendly and kept up easily with the constant flow of customers. We were there towards the end of the day so we were able to grab a couple of stools at the counter. Nice to have a place to sit.

Spicy Italian Pulled Pork!

By P7525GFjohnl |

There was a long but efficient line both time we went. We went specifically for the Spicy Italian Pulled Pork Sandwich. It was so large that a whole one was a lot to eat.

Make the cheesesteak second on your list..

By Goose |

The DiNic's roast pork sandwich is amazing. Yes, it was voted best sandwich in America by a travel channel personality. I’m sure you will agree with him after your first bite. I had to order a second one, call me glutinous, I call it being thorough. The staff was very friendly and the setting is a foodies superstore. A visit to Philly isn’t compete without a visit to this historic market and this destination..

Best pork sandwich ever

By Walid R |

First time I tried it I had not read or known about this place. But the ambiance and food display simply stood out of all the other nearby great eateries in Reading Terminal Market. Their roast pork or Italian style pulled pork sandwiches are a MUST try. make sure to ask them with provolone cheese and spinach and sweet peppers (I honestly was not a big fan of their Italian broccoli as it was slightly bitter). You will NOT regret trying this place out.

pork with broccoli rab

By JCR |

I wasn't a huge fan of the pork with broccoli rab sandwich. I can't believe this was touted as "the best sandwich in america".

Dinic's Pork and Beef

By Ernestsworld |

I stopped by Dinic's Pork and Beef Restaurant located in the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, PA. We shared their signature pork hero sandwich at the hotel after a long day of conferences. Recommended by Bartender Don at the Four Points Sheraton Hotels, Cherry Lounge on Race St. Enjoy.

Very good sandwiches 😋

By msubulldog25 |

(10/18/2018) My second time at DiNic’s (and not since 2010), this time introducing my wife to the place that so many of our Philly-native friends and acquaintances have recommended as “better than any cheesesteak in town”. After 2:00pm on a Thursday and all the stools were taken, we waited for two to clear, then made our move. Server was quick to greet us and friendly enough, but ready to take our order right away. I got the Roast Pork with Broccoli Rabe and S got the Roast Beef with Sweet Peppers; added Sharp Provolone to both. With a couple fountain sodas, we dropped $32. including tip. We split the halved sandwiches equally... sharing is caring!😆 So were the sandwiches good? YEP, especially with a few pickled peppers and a little horseradish. The provolone REALLY adds flavor - probably my favorite part! Good bread, ample portion. So why not rate a 5? Flavor, texture, presentation, counter staff, the character of the decades-old stall - all were “good” - “very good”, without transcending beyond. It was a fun experience... and necessary one; we both came hungry and left satisfied. Would gladly return, but the food at DiNic’s wasn’t as “amazing” as a memory from 8+ years ago had me recounting.

Half the experience is the food, the other half is the show

By stephenmac |

Sitting at the counter in the madhouse of Reading Market, eating a very juicy provolone, pork, and broccoli rabe sandwich was a load of fun. Strictly speaking I prefer a cheesesteak myself but it was worth it to try this Philly-centric specialty. The crowd at the counter, the crew making the food and working with the customers is all worth the price of some sit-down good food.

Simply The Best

By David N |

Simply the best roasted pork sandwich in all of Philadelphia. Located in the Reading Market, grab a stool at the counter and order it with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone cheese.

Interesting place.

By dreamer8313 |

Located inside Readings Market Terminal, this place was suggested by a colleague. I had a pork sub with green peppers and it was good. Not my favorite type of food, but I have to say it was much better than I expected. Extremely busy at lunch time, but the servers managed to serve everyone very quickly, so the wait was about 3 - 5 minutes to get a seat.

Pulled pork sandwich = A+

By MyZiggyMan |

We went to try the roast pork sandwich, not knowing they sell out early each day. Instead, we tried the pulled pork with garlic brocolli rabe and 'long hots' peppers. It was the best sandwich we ate all week. Yes, better than the 3 main cheesesteak places that are hyped in all the tour books. Hands down worth a trip to Reading Market for this one.

Great sandwich

By gablenlombard |

Awesome setting(Reading Terminal is a MUST if you are in Philly!). The food was soooo good. The meat in the sandwich was some of the best i have ever had. Go - NOW.

a very good sandwich but not quite up to the hype

By mlpbjm |

many food shows and lists in the last few year's have highlighted DiNic's in the Reading PA Terminal Market. the market is a spectacular place to shop and eat. especially eat! lot's of choices. i headed straight to DiNic's to get the highly touted Roast Pork sandwich. chose to order mine with the sharp provolone and peppers but no broccoli rabe. not my thing. so sandwich comes and it looks beautiful. bread is fresh and crusty and the pork is juicy. but i bite in and it's not anywhere near as flavorful as i expected. pretty mild almost bland. peppers added some flavor but the pork was mild and the provolone flavor just disappeared. i enjoyed it quite a bit just a bit underwhelming. i'd sure try another sandwich for comparison on another visit.

My Idea of Philly

By Jon L |

If you want a taste of Philly go to the Reading Terminal and take a seat at the counter of DiNic's. You can get a cheese steak anywhere is Philly and the arguement over those two places that have been around but most locals don't go to. If you want a SANDWICH DiNic's is the place. The menu is short...roasted beef or pork. The have added pulled pork and brisket since the last time I was there. Keep it simple and don't ask for something that is not there. They will not yell at you for ordering incorrectly but when it's busy...you may get a dirty look. Best two sandwhichs - Beef with spicy peppers. Pork with Broccoli Rabe. Provolone is your option but I don't do it. Meats are slow roasted, thinly sliced, and stored in their own au jus. Do yourself a favor and skip the cheese steak and get a real sandwhich at DiNic's

Great Pork Sandwich

By RJames1950 |

after an invigorating couple of hours at the Philadelphia Flower Show we headed to the Reading Terminal Market. Hungry for a pork sandwich we found it here. Very tasty and on a terrific roll. With sharp provolone, long shots, hot peppers and horseradish this sandwich fit the bill. You won't go wrong here.

Bring an appetite!!

By Afoodie65 |

Stopped for lunch while attending Philadelphia Flower Show. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and was overwhelmed by its size! Enough for at least 2 people (I only ate half). The pork was tender and juicy and the roll only ok. Was able to grab a counter seat; while attending the Flower Show in the past, the lines have always been too long that I didn't wait.

Philly Dining Must

By Russell R |

Was referred to DiNic's in Reading Market by a Philly knowledgeable friend. Absolutely fantastic pork and beef sandwiches. Ate here twice during four day Philly visit. Will return next trip to Philly.

Great Sandwich, Great Service!

By FCT |

The roasted pork sandwich is fantastic--especially with greens--and the price very good. The counter service was quick and friendly. We ordered one sandwich, and she served it in two baskets without our asking. We would love to try all their sandwiches.

THE rost pork sandwich

By Damir R |

Well they have a rost pork sandwich which is something else! Oh boy, it is so good! So simple yet so original and fresh. Apex!

Roast pork, provolone, and broccoli rabe

By Joanna C |

That is what you will order, and more than likely what you will split with somebody else in your party.

Ordered as Recommended...Perfection!

By Pat B |

Watching some travel/food shows to find the best in Philly, my husband I decided several places we wanted to have cheesesteaks. We also show the roast pork sandwiches. So when we stopped for lunch we found this place...boy were we lucky! Our waitress suggested we get the roast pork with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. I ordered the rabe on the side since I wasn't sure...no way you should have this any other way. Garlic sauce was amazing. But the star of the show is the bread, it really sets off the whole dish. Seeing the size I wished we had only ordered one to share...however, in the end, not a morsel was left.

SO GOOD!!

By Fenwick/Lewes visitor |

On March 3rd 2 friends & I went to the Philadelphia Flower Show. For lunch we went to Reading Terminal located across the street from the convention center. I loved Dinic's pork & broccoli rabe sandwich. I am dreaming about the sandwich today!! Mmmmmm

Pastrami is not bad

By BHUANG69 |

Shared a pastrami from here with a friend. The portion is good for two adult males for breakfast. It tastes good. Would buy again.

Best Food at Reading Terminal

By markbkeller |

The sandwiches are delicious with the meat plentiful My favorites are the roast pork and roast beef. The extras like extra sharp cheese, broccoli rabe and peppers are well worth it. If you are in Philly a trip to the terminal is a must.

The best sandwich I ever had

By Orisha - The Poshmaven |

Prior to coming of began, I had best roast pork with spinach sandwich at Dinic’s. It was absolutely sandwich delicious. Highly recommended.

This is the real Philly Sandwich

By ChefFred |

Cheesesteaks are great but if you want the best sandwich in town- it's DiNic's Roast Pork with Broccoli Rabe and Aged Provolone. Hands down the best sandwich in the nation.

Forget the rest, this is the best

By JohnRG |

Where do i begin, just thinking about Dinic's pork sandwiches has my mouth watering. The pork is slow cooked and melts in your mouth. Dinic's pork runs neck and neck with the best cheese steaks in Philly.

A lot of meat

By PancakeRoll |

Had the roast pork sandwich. It was big enough for my daughter and I to share . Lovely moist tasty pork. Service was swift and very friendly. Not as expensive as I anticipated . Thoroughly recommend it as an alternative to the long queue for cheesesteak.

Meatball sub

By GeorgiaRed |

This is located inside the reading terminal market (somewhat in the middle). They have a few counter seats but mostly to go. The line can get long but they are seriously efficient. I got the meatball sub. It was really good. Only downside is that there wasn’t enough cheese. I would ask for extra cheese. The bread was soft. It’s a big sandwich so you can probably share unless you are super hungry.

Didn't live up to our anticipated hopes!

By April |

While staying right across from Reading Terminal Market, here in Philadelphia we were so excited to come across Dinic's. My husband being a big fan of Man vs Food, instantly recognized it from an episode. After rewatching the show we returned the next day with high expectations for an amazing roast pork sandwich. We headed straight to Dinic's to grab one. Friendly staff moves the line along swiftly. We ordered just as Adam (from the show) had: sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. Because the market was packed and we couldn't find a seat we just went back to our hotel to eat. The bread was great, fresh and crusty and the pork was juicy. But the flavor was so mild, pretty plain actually. Our anticipation was not met with anything that blew our minds. The sandwich was good, don't get me wrong, but nothing to write home (or rave about here) for.

Not What I Expected

By Teacher91 ❤ |

I wanted to love this sandwich more. I found the cheese to be too strong for the meat. When I got a bite with just the broccoli rabe, meat, and bread I thought it was very tasty. If given a second chance to order, I would have them leave off the cheese. Obviously, this is a personal preference. Judging from the long lines, I'm definitely in the minority.

roast pork

By WTH9 |

roast pork, peppers, sharp provolone. not as well known as the cheesesteak but equally as good. get one.

Best Sandwich

By Gail P |

Every time I go to the Reading Terminal I get a roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. Was going to switch it up my last visit and try another vendor. Well I switched it up with the roast beef provolone and broccoli rabe!

Best Roast Pork Sandwich Ever!!!!!!

By ExpoNationals |

Hands down, Tommy Dinic's makes the BEST Roast Pork sandwich in the world!! When you are in Philadelphia make sure to head to Reading Terminal Market and grab a seat at their counter. You are in for one of the yummiest treats ever!!!!

Best Sandwich In America

By fiamma11 |

I love DiNic's Roast Pork sandwich; the pork is sliced thin after being beautifully roasted, and the meat is succulent. Load it up with sharp provolone and cooked greens or chilis. It does not disappoint!

Disappointed

By Jholls |

After seeing the roast pork was voted the best sandwich in America this place was on my bucket list. It was my first time in Philly and we stayed right across from the market. I ordered the roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. I was very disappointed after the first bite. The pork had no flavor...I mean no flavor at all and the broccoli rabe was so bitter I had to scrape it off. I don't know how this was voted the best sandwich but I will never order it again if I ever find myself in Philly again.

Disappointment

By Felipe G |

By far the worst sandwich I’ve ever eaten. NO FLAVOR! Soggy bread, the meat had no flavor whatsoever. Barely any cheese and the broccoli rabe was tasteless. After trying Carmen’s Famous Italian Hoagie yesterday and feeling so underwhelmed by the lack of flavor I conclude people in Philly are the ones that haven’t tried a real good sandwich, where salt, pepper and other seasonings are used.

Delicious!

By Gil L |

We tried the food here when we visited Reading Terminal Market. We tried both their roast pork and their roast beef sandwiches. They were both great! Can't wait to go back and try more of their sandwiches!

Delicious pork with greens and cheese!

By peachkoblerpie |

Came in for the pork sandwiches. The line was really long but the wait went by fast. We even got a seat at the counter. Service was good too. Would definitely come back and we definitely recommend.

People swear by it

By JJTP |

Everyone swears by it. It wasn't my thing but I would saw give it a try. After going to reading terminal 4 times I finally gave a roasted pork with again not my sandwich of choice in general but it was well done.

Great treats while visiting....

By Misael |

So, this location is located at the Reading Terminal Market; parking is not cheap, the line and wait was NUTS!!! We ordered two subs, one was the pork sub with cheese and peppers, and the other was their signature philly cheese steak, the Spataro, with bacon, provolone and onions. The cheesesteak was amazing!!!

Something different

By teach1211 |

This was our first time having a pork and broccoli rabe sandwich, my husband and I both enjoyed it! We split one so we could sample some other stuff while walking around the market. We got lucky and were able to snag two seats while waiting in the long line that wrapped around the counter. Service was quick and friendly!

Wow! Great Food!

By Arvilla F |

Inside the Reading Terminal Market, you'll find Dinic's with lines wrapped all the way around its bar. That tells you they are doing something right! While you might wait awhile, you also might get lucky & see people getting up from the bar stools & be able to snag a seat. You'll pretty much have to sit down to eat these monster sandwiches, which are loaded with either pork or beef. You can add additional toppings, but the menu is not that extensive on other choices. I would recommend you try this at least once!

Philly Sandwiches At Their Freshest Best

By miguelacho1 |

Freshly cut meats tastefully piled high on fresh bread rolls. It is an amazing experience and a wonderful example of enjoying the Reading Terminal Market fun. We ordered a second deconstructed combination, taking it back to enjoy in the quiet environs of our hotel across the street, Home2 by Hilton, along with some fresh flowers from a nearby stall.

Not What I Expected

By macnjac89 |

Pork sandwich was the "go to" recommendation, but lacked in flavor even with cheese and broccoli rabe. Good sized and fresh rolls, but nothing special.

Great roast port with rabe.....

By letsgoazcardinals |

Great roll, great meat, great “greens” all fresh and in my tummy! Long line, but it moved SUPER fast! Well worth the trip into the Reading Market.....

Man, this was good

By Frank A |

Had the brisket beef sandwich, great taste and value for money. The service was in a hurry and the order was not correctly taken, but still we had a good meal.

tastes as good as it looks

By 1of5fishnhouse |

Did not get a chance to eat this sandwich until 6 hrs later. It was still delicious warmed up. I look forward to going back to have this sandwich fresh and try a few more of the items we saw them making while we waited.

Reading terminals must eat location

By Richard H |

Loved it, so much choice it’s difficult to know what to get. Normally there was a short queue but don’t be put off

The ABSOLUTE BEST Roast Pork, Broccoli Rabe and Sharp Provo sandwich in Phila!

By Caz_Diner |

I used to go here often for lunch when I worked in Phila. It's been years since I'd been there. My daughter goes to school in the area. I kept telling her about Dinic's. Finally got the chance to get there. Nothing's changed! STILL the best sandwich around! Yes...Best Sandwich in America!!!

Roast Pork

By dogorman |

The roast pork sub was incredible. The line looked long but they moved it right along. Quality did not suffer for how fast the food came out. There are many choices in the market but I am so glad I chose to eat here.

Yo! A Great Roasted Pork Sandwich.

By Fallywalker |

They make a great famous Philly roasted pork sandwich. Fresh sliced pork, dipped in au jus, topped with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, and peppers on a fresh crusty roll. Mmmmm.... a must have if in the Reading Terminal Market.

Amazing Pork Sand which

By Robert F |

Great setting as well. Find a seat and go for it. One of the best sandwiches I have had if not the best. So much flavor. Get the roast pork, with provolone, peppers and the long broccoli.

Wonderful Lunch with my wife !!

By BrianB7661 |

Oh Boy, the Roast Pork and Broccoli Rabe w/ SHarp Provalone Cheese Sandwich was Heavenly !! No wonder it was voted "Best Sanwich in America 2013" ... You Must try this !! Highly Recommened !!

The reviews are correct.

By Rebecca |

Read about the amazing pork sandwich online and wanted to stop in to see what the fuss was about. Ordered the sandwich as-is with provolone and broccoli rabe. It was worth the long wait as the sandwich was outstanding. Definitely recommend!

Great pork sandwich!

By Cocoa W |

Had the roast pork sandwich with greens and let me just say GOOOOOOOD! This was really good food here

Forget the Cheese Steak! This is the sandwich you can't miss!

By Laura B. |

I never go to Philly without getting the roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe. I gave up on the mediocre cheese steaks at other locations years ago. One is perfect for two people to share, and it leaves room for ice cream at Bassett;s. Make sure you get a seat at the counter for wonderful people watching! But eat and leave, those seats are highly coveted. Must importantly , don't forget to add the free peppers to your sandwich. Ahhhh perfection!

As delicious as I Imagined. | DINIC'S

By Daniel Kahn Nelson |

I absolutely loved this sandwich! I first saw is featured on the Travel Channel's "Best Sandwiches in America" listing. I personally had never tasted broccoli rabe before but I was blow away by its wonderful pairing with the pork. They dipped the sandwich in that awesome brine and boosted the flavor impact to biblical levels. The cheese at the base in the bread was an excellent touch as well. Definitely one of the best bites I've ever had.

Broccoli on Roasted Pork?!?!?! Yes, please!!!

By C_Razzano |

There are so many option in Reading Terminal, it may be hard to choose where to go. Let me reiterate why this is always a top choice! If you can, grab a seat at the counter so you can watch how this well oiled machine runs! It’s a bare bones operation but so very efficient and effective. I ordered the roast pork as that’s what is always recommended in the guidebooks. I asked my counter server how she’d recommend it. Provolone with broc. OK! It’s sitting in front on me in less than five minutes and it’s massive! Sure enough, itnhad this amazing broccoli relish on top. For two seconds, I’m skeptical... until it’s in my mouth... it pair beautifully with the pork like a fine wine and cheese... champagne and strawberries... just a match for the ages. As you eat, you can watch the team in action. I have a hunch I know who makes the turkey on their families on a thanksgiving..

Pretty ordinary

By Gazza |

This place and the Italian pulled pork and broccoli with cheese roll was recommended to us by one of the departing patrons offering us his seat. The service was very good but the sandwich/roll was pretty ordinary to say the least. It was very fresh but the green component was very bitter and the pork quite tasteless. I heard it was the second best food in USA according to a TV food show.....hmmmm who were these foodies?

Legit

By Les M |

DiNic's is where you want to do for an authentic Philly sandwich! The location at Reading Terminal Market is really cool. Be sure you leave yourself plenty of time to hang out and walk around the market. Speaking of time, be sure you leave yourself plenty of time to wait in line. We were there at 2pm on a Saturday and the line was crazy long. It moved fast though and we had our food in less than 15 minutes. Also challenging is finding a place to sit and eat in the market. The place is just crazy busy. I had the pork sandwich and it was amazingly good. Among the best sandwiches I've ever had and waaaaay better then the steak sandwich we got at Pat's. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Overrated?

By karl zimmerman |

DiNic's is a very popular spot at the Reading Terminal which is often standing room only during lunch rush hour. I had the roast pork with spinach & a coke. The pork didn't have much flavor--maybe I should have got it with sauce. The waitress was courteous & efficient. Frankly, not sure what all the fuss is about, but I think there are more flavorful foods in other places there.

top Notch sandwiches

By zrib |

Philadelphia has great walk around food. We found the center of it to be Reading Terminal Market. Inside the market, is Tommy Dinic’c sandwich shop which by the roast pork, meatball, Italian sausage, is one of the best in town. The roast pork is absolutely fabulous! The star of the show! The meatball and sausage sandwiches were very good, there’s a lot of meat in their meatballs, and the sauce was just one of the tastiest I’ve had on a sandwich.

Nice Find

By superman2177 |

We were in Philadelphia to watch the Dodgers play. Went to Reading Market to look around and someone suggested this to us. I went up to the counter and asked for his best sandwich. The server got me a pork sandwich with provolone that was very delicious. Would definitely recommend.

How bout dem meatballs

By @diningonadime1 |

I know that people come from near and far for their great pork sandwich, but I was given a tip that they had a delicious, homemade meatball sandwich, so I ventured there on a rainy day to try it and I must say that it was incredibly delicious and definitely homemade, so the next time that you are there grab a pork and meatball sandwich

Enjoyed this more than the cheesesteaks

By rexcab |

My sister and I went here for dinner around 515pm. The Reading Terminal Market was closing up at 6 so we got there in time. There was plenty of seats at the counter. Ordered a pork sandwich with spinich since they ran out of the broccoli rabe. It was still really good. I did add some banana peppers. Service was friendly and excellent, even though they were prepping to close. It looked like they were giving away the leftover bread as one of the employees placed 2-3 big bags of Galasso loaves and told us to go ahead and take them.

Stopped in to get Italian Pork sandwiches to bring home.

By earnhardtatdaytona |

Di Nics serves the best pork sandwiches in the Philly area, and there are a lot of places to chose from.

Agree with all the rave reviews!

By PG-NY |

We will echo what others have already said! Go for the pork sandwich, add the sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, and sweet peppers. Grab a handful of napkins - then grab some more - for a juicy delicious sandwich like nothing we’ve ever experienced before. We split one sandwich and it was more than enough! Good thing we don’t live closer, we’d be eating them all the time!

Just So Yum....

By LCH |

There is no longer counter seating. You get in line around three corners of their area, and your order is taken while you are in line, then you follow the line to the register and pay and then handed your food. While there are other things I would like to try, I always get the roast pork - it is just so good. People outside of Philly think cheesesteaks are the big Philly thing... Nope. It is the roast pork, and DiNic's roast pork is among the top best!

WOW!!!

By Robert C |

OMG, the best Philly roast pork sandwich I’ve had. But that is their specialty. This was just really great. Served with broccoli rabe & sweet peppers and sharp provolone on a nice crispy Italian bread. We also had a meatball sub that was also amazing.

Wife wanted breakfast; I wanted lunch

By Daniel B |

That's why the Reading Terminal Market is so great; she got her bagel and lox and I ordered a roast beef with provolone sandwich here. Was excellent and stuffed full!

Cool experience and yummy sandwich

By Von1287 |

We got the original pork sandwich with all the fixings on it. This was a very good sandwich and I enjoyed the flavors of the meat and the veggies on it. I would definitely recommend this since Philly is such a sandwich city!

Great Sandwich

By Daniela P |

I was in Philadelphia for a conference that was close to the Reading Terminal Market. I stoped by the market for lunch and had the roast pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe and it was delicious. The combination of the pork and broccoli is great with a nice spice to it. If I am every back in Philadelphia I know the first place that I am going to eat.

Great Sandwich’s

By Brandon Godward |

Tommy Dinic’s never disappoints!!Awesome little sandwich spot located in the heart of the historic Reading terminal market. I Love the roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and hot peppers. Many people consider this the best place to eat in the market, and that’s saying something. Their roast pork with broccoli rabe has been featured on food network’s best sandwich in America(it actually won), but personally I found it lacking. Broccoli rabe just doesn’t do anything for me. Lines can be pretty long and intimidating, but they move fast. You can also get your sandwich to go. Philly is a amazing sandwich town, make sure to get a roast pork and a cheesesteak when you visit.

nice and succulent... but add some sauce (if you like it that way)

By Vipula d |

this place gets a crowd in, especially in the mornings. the steak burgers here are quite popular... if you have a palette for the spicy stuff, then you better add some sauce for a saucy flavour, otherwise the flavours might feel too light in your mouth... the good thing us that this counter is just in front of the seating/dining area

Super sandwich!

By Abby S |

Had an awesome brisket sandwich from these guys, great flavor and high value. They were friendly and efficient as well! Don’t miss this gem of a place in the market!

The hype is real

By Keith E |

Their Italian roast pork sandwich is delicious. Make sure to order it with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe.

Dinic's Pork and Beef

By Mkiladitis |

When visiting Philly you must stop at Reading Terminal Market and sit down at Dinic's for a meal. Hands down the best brisket sandwich I have had outside of Texas!

Busy Sandwich shop but Yummy is you wait

By Prudence S |

I have eaten here a few times and it has never been disappointing. My go to sandwich is the broccli rabe pork sandwich. Its perfectly done and I look forward to it each time I hop in my car for a two hour drive from nyc. It is always busy, there is a small seating area around the counter however, there is lots of seating in the market.

Great Brisket sandwich.

By Lawrence C |

Great brisket sandwich located inside the historic Reading Terminal. Enjoyed our lunch as we sat at the counter. Staff was very friendly.

Mmm, so so

By Donn D |

We thought we ordered Philly cheesesteak with Italian sausage and maybe it was but certainly was not what we expected. It was an actual sausage in a bun. Not too bad,but not a cheesesteak, at least in my mind.

NSBA conference

By Bamadawgatl |

I tried this location in Reading Terminal Market based on their Roasted Pork Sandwich being named best sandwich in the US. It exceeded my expectations. The meat was moist, bread crisp, peppers and provolone were nice adds. It is very very busy but the staff is probably approaching Chick-Fil-A in their efficiency for moving tons of people through the long lines. Most folks were take-out but they do offer small counter service. The paper they wrap the sandwiches in kept it warm enough for an eight block walk to the hotel. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Excellent Alternative to Cheesesteak

By Donald |

This was the second time I have had one of DiNic's roast pork sandwiches. It was excellent. The pork was sliced very thin and was very flavorful. The sharp provolone, broccoli rabe and juices from the roasted meat make this a delicacy. This sandwich is huge, but worth every penny. Go get one if you are in Philly!

Juicy and yum

By boymomdfw |

The sandwiches are very filling! We got a pork sandwich for each of us but I couldn't finish. I'd recommend splitting one. It was very juicy too!

Delicious Roast Pork

This may well be the most delicious sandwich in Philly. The thin slices of roast pork are delicious. Load it up with sharp provolone and/or cooked greens or grilled chilis ($1 for one, or $1.75 for two) and you have some seriously good eats. You can sit at their counter or queue for carry-out. Staff is friendly. Lunch perfection in my book.

Disappointed.

By bea96720 |

Went for a sandwich there from reading other reviews. Kinda disappointed. It had lots of good ingredients, but it had little to no flavor at all. We had the pork sandwich. I was kind of bummed because it did look good.

Disappointing

By John B |

I was excited as I’d been told that the pork sandwich was not only the best sandwich in Philadelphia, but possibly the nation. It wasn’t even the best sandwich within the market. The meat was fine but the sandwich was incredibly dry and mostly tasteless (other than the overly strong and off putting cheese). It desperately needs some sauce, au jus, or in New Orleans, de bris (a much superior poboy sandwich). Won’t be back while there are so many good cheesesteaks in town to be had.

Roast Pork Sandwich

By mspaccamonti |

While in Philly, I had to stop off at Dinic's and get a roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. The sandwich was delicious, juicy and flavorful and the broccoli rabe and provolone put it over the top. I would recommend and will be back next time I am in Philly.

Pulled pork was most satisfying

By Aged_Trout |

I had the pulled pork sandwich with cheese, red hot peppers, banana peppers, and their hot sauce. Totally satisfied! Ask for hot sauce, not really hot to my standards but great flavorThepwtendertendertender

Average

By ugablevinsdawgs |

My party waited in a long line to order one of these recommended sandwiches. I ordered the brisket sandwich, 2 others ordered the meatball sandwich, and 1 person ordered the pork sandwich. My sandwich was average. The cheese didn’t compliment the brisket. The meatball subs seemed to be enjoyed more by the others in the party. The sandwiches are very large for the price.

Pork Sandwich--Worth It!

By Lynnette |

Don't let the line deter you--it moves quickly and every bite is worth it. The staff was friendly and fast. We also had the sausage with hot peppers and it was yummy too. Highly recommend going before 2 pm, as items sell out.

Love this place!!

By Alex L |

I’ve been here a few times and each time it’s been pretty consistent, given there has been a rare miss here and there. It seems a lot of people have issues with the components of the sandwich so if you’re looking to try this sandwich let me break it down below. 1. The sharp provolone is very strong and pungent, if you don’t like pungent smelly cheeses you may not like the sandwich. 2. Broccoli rabe is bitter, it’s part of the mustard family. If bitter isn’t your thing ask for spinach or mixed greens for less of a bitter taste. 3. They don’t have additional toppings except peppers and if you have concerns about it being dry you can ask for it “wet” for extra au jeux. Hope this helps!

Disappointing local dining experience

By Olivier B |

Rather disappointing. We did not try any other dishes from the food court and followed the recommendations. But the sandwitch is rather fat. As French, we didn't like

Loved It !

By dave a |

We went on a bus tour and stopped at the reading market we have been here before . this time we decided to stop at Dinics . We have had cheese steak and Brisket so it was time to try the roast pork I have been hearing so much about. It was awesome ! Everything I heard was true. We split one the young girl serving us brought it out cut in half on 2 plates . We got the spinach and hot peppers on the side. The sandwich was hot and fresh and the sharp provolone was great never had it before > With the spinach and hot pepper and some horseradish what a meal. Price was fair $ 9.95

Great service. Quick and fast.

By Shaun D |

Great service. Quick and fast. Read where it was voted best sandwich America by travel channel. It’s good but not the best. Definitely worth a try if you are there!

Best Sandwich in Philadelphia!

By katsusanna |

Although cheesesteaks get all the publicity, Philly actually specializes in TWO kinds of sandwiches, the other being roast pork. And after spending a week in the city (and trying numerous cheesesteaks), my husband and I both agreed that the roast pork sandwich from DiNic's was by far the best sandwich we ate all week. It was SOOOOOO good! I don't even usually like pork, but if it always tasted like DiNic's, I would become pork's biggest fan. The meat was so tender and flavorful -- just perfect! The roll was fresh and warm, and the provolone cheese was the perfect addition. After eating that sandwich, then trying a bunch of cheesesteaks during subsequent days, we regretted not returning to DiNic's to get another roast pork sandwich. It was so much better than any of the cheesesteaks! As others have noted, there is usually a wait to get a seat at the counter, but we just stood in the take-out line, which moved very quickly, and then carried our sandwiches to the common seating area, which was just steps away. (We had to share a table with some other visitors, but that wasn't a problem! We made some new friends!). Service was very friendly, too! We would definitely recommend DiNic's! If you only have time to get one sandwich in Philly, get the roast pork from DiNic's! You won't regret it!

9 Am Lunch

By Stan Tecza |

Arrived at the terminal and made the obligatory lunch beeline to Dicnics. Ordered the roast pork sandwich with sweet peppers. Would have ordered the pulled pork too but it wasn’t going to be ready until 10:30. Next time I suppose. The roast pork sandwich was delicious.

Amazing

By LAFAMILLEG11231 |

Must have an italian pork style sandwich here with hot peppers if you like hot. All for under $10 can't beat it.

Wonderful sandwich!

By marsha |

Recommended by two friends from Philly. Fantastic roast pork sandwich - get it with the broccoli rabe. So large my husband and I could have shared one and still been full! Will definitely go back next time we’re in Philly.

A local spot

By Stephen N |

Dinics is a counter in the middle of the Reading Terminal Market. They serve a bunch of different sandwiches but we came to get the roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe. We sat right away but could see this place developing a long line. We almost immediately ordered and sandwiches came not long thereafter. The pork was nice, flavorful and juicy. The provolone was pretty sharp. While my friend didn't like the broccoli rabe, I thought it was nice - just a touch bitter but accompanied the sandwich well. The bread was a nice soft hero which soaked up all the juice on the bottom. 2 sandwiches, a soda, a water and tip ran us about 30 bucks. I would come back. In fact, I probably liked this more than the cheesesteaks we got later in the day.

I have always wanted to come here, but the lines were always too long.

By Frank Masters |

I have always wanted to come here, but the lines were always too long. This time, we were able to find two stools at the counter so we ordered after we sat down. We had the tradition pork with cheese and broccoli rabe with long hots. My wife and I both took half the sandwich home on the train. I got lucky and had both halves. The steak sandwich or the meatballs is what I will do next time there. If there are two of you, the best thing is to each split a different sandwich. But your first time here, The pork sandwich is the way to go. The lines are usually long, so good luck getting a counter seat or two. New in Philadelphia and at the Reading Terminal. Put this place on you bucket list.

Dinics Pork Sandwich

By Too Poor 2 |

A Philadelphia mainstay, we each ordered the pork sandwich with cheese and rabe last week. It was good size and flavorful. Inflation has caught up as the sandwich was now $12, but still worth it to us as we only come into Philadelphia twice a year. Fast service, fast order.

Didn’t get what I ordered

By Jaime C |

I was SO excited to try their sandwiches after reading reviews but wow. I didn’t get the sandwich I ordered. I got someone else’s. So after leaving with what I thought was my food I couldn’t even eat it. SUCH a bummer.

Best sandwich in the market

By GiancarloBuonarotti |

The pork broccoli and provolone sandwich is the best sandwich in the market for me. There are plenty of good things to eat in this market but I always go for this one because it’s so good.

Pretty good

By Cliff K |

With all the hype and long line I expected a delicious sandwich. Pork was tasty, good bread but it needed something. Kinda bland and I got hot peppers, raab, and provolone. With all the options at the market I wouldn't go here a second time. My friends both felt the same way.

Excellent

By Shannon K |

The roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe is amazing!!! We come here every time we visit Philadelphia!

Very disappointed and dry—below minimum expectations!

By Jorge Z |

Was very disappointed with the so called “unmissable-must-try” pulled and pork sandwich w/ sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. Very dry, way below my minimum expectations. Could not even finish half of it and gave the other half to someone on the street who would undoubtedly appreciate it more. Customer service from the girls on the counter could too, be much nicer (better experience).

Not the best roast pork sandwich!

By Tim H |

Not the best roast pork sandwich to me. There was no broccoli rabe on my sandwich and it was very dry. I make this sandwich at home and mine is way better.

The Provolone

By Angelo R |

This is a nice sandwich. I think my expectations were thru the roof for this sandwich so I was a little underwhelmed. It was overall very good, but the provolone is the real star here. I think the greens were a distraction and the pork was under seasoned.

Fun atmosphere

By robert m |

The Reading Market is a fun place to go. My wife and I split the huge sandwich. I wish we got the broccoli on it as well. It was a little tough getting a seat at the counter, but after a wait we succeeded. It was fun to people watch while you ate.

Amazing as always!

By Shannon K |

We come here every single time we are visiting Philadelphia for the roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe, it is amazing! If you have not tried it yet, you absolutely must! See you next time!

The best pulled pork sandwiches

By Kapil |

Awesome food, loved the sandwich. The hot peppers and baby rabb added a kick to it. Good and quick service.

Only OK

By crazywannago |

I have to say I was disappointed. The food was only OK. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t the best sandwich in America. I have eaten way better sandwiches right here in Philadelphia. The service was good, the staff was very efficient and friendly, but it was very hard to find a place to sit and when I did sit, I ate a mediocre sandwich that I had been looking forward to for years. Overall a disappointing experience.

Excellent sandwiches and service

By Ina_31 |

Back for excellent sandwiches, we enjoyed our pork and beef brisket sandwiches, very tasty. Great, quick and efficient service, highly recommended, not to be missed in Philadelphia.

Wanted to like it, but the sharp sharp provolone overdid the meat!

By Clair B |

Had a pork w/broccoli rabe and a roast beef sandwich and the meat was tender, the bread soft, but neither was tasty mostly because the sharpness of the cheese overwhelmed the meat so it seemed flavorless. The line moves quickly. The sandwiches are large, but neither of us could get over the overwhelming sharp cheese taste.

For $15 it better be a GREAT sandwich...

By Daniel C |

...It was a great sandwich. Not what I would normally think of when I hear cheese steak, but you can't argue with the end result. I wish I could have made it back for a Roast Pork before I left.

Great sandwiches

By Gerard A |

Went to Philly for a day trip and visited the Reading market. What a buzzing place. Had great sandwiches here, would definitely call again.

Delicious

By Karen H |

I had the pork sandwich. The bread was soft, the pork was tender, the spices were right on. You can add peppers or cheese if you like but also great just plain.

Love it here

By njsfinest3 |

This place has some amazing food, we est here every single time we hit the market. Cant go wrong with this place

Pork Sandwich

By James L |

Like many, we sat at the bar and had to try the pork sandwich. I was a bit bummed that they were out of Broccoli Rabe and had to substitute spinach. It was still a fun experience and I will say the sharp provolone is an interesting twist for sure.

Go eat a classic pork sandwich.......

By lfbmonkey |

Stand in line and wait your turn. Order the pork sandwich with provolone, broccoli di rabe, and pepperoncini. Served warm and cut in half, it is served on a soft Italian hero.

Off night?

By Ternick |

I've been here before and was disappointed this time. We paid additional for pepper and sharp provolone. There was hardly any cheese on the sandwich and the peppers were in huge chunks which made it messier. The pork wasn't seasoned very well either.

Fantastic food.

By Zatara88 |

Tried the Italian pulled pork, meatball and brisket sandwiches (not all at once), all amazing. Great service and prices. Highly recommend.

The best roast pork sandwich, hands down!!!

By GlobeTrotting738505 |

This place never disappoints. Make sure you go for the roast pork sandwich with sharp cheese and greens (I prefer the spinach, but a lot of people like the broccoli rabe). There's no wonder why Adam Richman voted it the best sandwich in America!!! While you're there, stop by the many other vendors in the Reading Terminal.

Roast pork sandwich

By Questa321 |

Roast pork sandwich lived up to the hype. Highly recommend trying this. You may have to wait a bit but we’ll worth the wait.

Sandwich absolutely sucked. Not worth the hype at all.

By Slythe777 |

I ordered a roast pork "wet" with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. The horseradish flavor absolutely overpowered the sandwich from the rabe. I could only force myself to eat half the sandwich.

Highly recommended

By Eric F |

Definitely must try if visiting Reading Terminal. My go to every time we visit. Excellent food and great service. Highly recommended.

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had

By b2mishra |

I was in Philadelphia for half a day, and this place was highly recommend by a colleague. Tried the roast pork sandwiche with sharp provolone topping. Its unadulterated meat, with just salt and pepper. The flavor was rich and easily one of the best sandwiches I have ever had

Good service, fair food

By NanaVaY |

We hit this stand on a Friday afternoon. Our server was pleasant and efficient, and service was quick. Our food was a bit disappointing, though. The rolls were pasty white and soft and got soggy fast, and for Philadelphia breads, that is unacceptable. The meat (a mix of pork and beef) was plentiful, but it seemed like a thick lunch meat quality. I left here totally unsatisfied after not eating much of the sandwich. There are better choices in the city.

Great roast pork

By TobiasFuenke |

We tried roast pork with sharp provolone and spinach, roast beef with sharp provolone and spinach, and roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. The roast beef was decent, but the roast pork was better. Pork with broccoli rabe was great, but we thought it was better with the spinach. Overall great sandwiches.

Awesome food!

By Vincent W |

Tommy Diniks is a Tony Luke competitor. Both places have great food. You won't be disappointed with either choice. Tommy dinic's has excellent food. Depending on the time of day and the line size I would choose either or. But both places are a philly at landmark.

Fantastic!

By Brian D |

We stopped here for a sandwich while at Reading Terminal Market. It was great! The sandwich and the staff were outstanding.

Must try sandwich

By G8523SUpeterp |

As I was traveling to area, had to try the roast pork sandwich. Not disappointed. So tasty I would go back.

yummmmmmmmm

By KBinMB |

some locals recommended Nic's at the Reading Terminal Market. there was a line at lunch but they really moved us through. there are seats at the counter but we took our food to go. the roast beef with provolone was AMAZING!!!

Eat Tommy's pork, peppers and cheese - you'll never want another cheesesteak!

By ebseymour |

Fresh rolls, marinated pork roast, oven roasted peppers and sharp provolone shards - been eating them since the early 80's. Get there early, the line moves quickly and ask for your sandwich "wet" - the pork sits in the most flavorful au jus - and some extra soaked into the roll never hurts! Making me hungry!

Very cool but not the best sandwich in America

By Chris A |

I just finished the famous Dinic’s Pork sandwich loaded with “the works” which consisted on provolone cheese, peppers and their special greens. The bread, pork and peppers were great but the greens were a unique flavor that I’m not used to. Eating at the bar was definitely a good experience I would just stop short of calling it one of the best sandwiches in the country. I’m not even sure if it’s the best sandwich at the Reading Terminal market...but I’m going to find out!

Still the best

By David N |

Came in from Orlando and this was my first stop. As usual, Dinic's remains one if not the best sandwhich in America. Fast friendly service coupled with a great staff and tasty roast pork.

Tasty Beef and Pork sandwiches

By John C |

Very generous portions and tasty sandwiches in a long and fresh roll. Good value for money and there are places to sit down and eat in the market. We were there on a weekday so assume the weekend is probably a lot busier.

Juicy Roast Pork

By Alison K |

Tried the roast pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe. A well rounded sandwich - juicy tender pork, crunchy broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and some notes of garlic. Best eaten right away when it's hot and so it doesn't get soggy. The pungent cheese really boosts the flavor. There was a line but it moved quickly. Hard to find seating in this place though, as it is always busy.

Hush my mouth

By jean m |

mouthwatering sandwiches cooked to perfection. Soft delicious buns. I prefer mine without a lot of sauce but you can't lose.

Great alternative to the typical cheesesteak

By Import R |

Put this on your list of “must see” places at the Reading Terminal Market. Their offering was a welcome change from what you would expect to find on a roll in Philadelphia. The broccoli Rabe was flavorful and a really nice addition to the sandwich. Pull up a seat at the counter and enjoy!

OMG, it’s heaven

By heaterguy100 |

I moved to Orlando from Bucks county in 2018. Prior to that I used to come to the Reading Terminal Market a few times a month to eat and DiNic’s was always my go too. You just cannot find a better Italian pulled pork sandwich anywhere. I was in town for 2 days for business and as soon as I checked into my hotel, HGI next to RTM I headed in and ordered my taste of heaven. I savored every bite of it. For lunch today, I took an out of town vendor to RTM and straight to DiNic’s for another pulled pork sandwich. He told me he never tasted anything the delicious. Living in Orlando, the biggest thing so miss about Philly is the food and DiNic’s just didn’t disappoint. Till next time

Great sandwich.

By Scott K |

Do yourself a favor, stop by Dinic's for a great sandwich. Fast service. You can tell by the people waiting in line...it has to be good.

Good roast pork!

By Alan W |

The price doesn't break the bank. The roast sub was pretty good. It definiely taste homemade and works out if youre in a pinch. Overall, good experience.

Great

By Kevin F |

Had sausage with provolone and peppers. Cooked to perfection. After lunch rush got immediate seat and served promptly

Best of the best

By Pyramidion |

The roast pork is easily the best sanwich in this sandwich heaven; the Reading Terminal Market. Prefer it plain on the roll altough toppings of all sorts fom cheese to salad are available. Pork is tender, juicy and flavorful. See the stack of roasts ready to be sliced and served. Pricing very fair. Service speedy and friendly but thre can be a line to order.

Great Pork/Broccoli Rabe/Cheese Sandwich

By funtootravel |

You should make it a point to stop at the Redding Terminal Market and then make sure to get one of these sandwiches - we like them even better than the traditional Philly Cheese Steak. Yummy!!!!!

Broccoli Rabe and Provolone Sandwich was AWESOME

By 2020worldtraveler2020 |

Highlight of Reading Terminal. The Broccoli Rabe and Provolone Sandwich was the bomb. Really enjoyed the experience!

Stopped in for an Italian Pork Sandwich

By earnhardtatdaytona |

Dinics in Reading Terminal Market is by far the best place for a pork sandwich. None Better in all of Philly.

It's been rated "best sandwich in America”

By Sheryl S |

The "best sandwich” rating is based on their roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe. It's great! It's enough for two hungry people to share, although you might want to try one of their other excellent selections, like the brisket.

AMAZING...so good I went TWICE

By Craig J |

You simply HAVE to do this. Pick a lunch where you want a great and not messy sandwich and an ice cold Coke. Squeeze in a counter seat and watch the show.

Wow!

By McBone |

Went with the intention of having a roast beef sandwich, but saw the roast pork, and called an audible. And I am glad I did. It was probably the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Juicy, tender, flavourful. Had it with sweet peppers and provolone. Amazing!

Not sure what the hype is???

By Seunghye H |

I was told I needed to try the pork sandwich here and I don't know what the hype is. It was ok. They make it so quickly that when you unwrap the sandwich it's all mashed together and it doesn't even look good to eat. Glad I tried it to know what it was like but won't eat there again.

Delicious. Recommended by a local and it was perfect

By jacksonfive491 |

Dinic’ s in Reading Terminal market was out of this world. Forget the cheesesteaks around town and go straight to Dinic’s for the roast beef. You’ll thank me later!

Fantastic

By Joel M |

The roast pork sandwich I had here was the best I've ever eaten. There's not else much to say about this place other than how fantastic the food is.

Best roast pork sandwich in Philly

By James D |

The roast pork is exquisitely flavorful, tender, virtually melt in your mouth. I've eaten a lot of roast pork sandwiches in the Philly area. No one comes close to Dinic's

Delicious!

By atlmichelle4571 |

Love how easy this location was to get to and it wasn't busy at all. My husband and I both tried the famous pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. It was delicious. The pork was so juicy and flavorful. The cheese and broccoli rabe made the sandwich even better. Definitely a must try, at least once. I think a standard cheesesteak is still my favorite though.

Roasted beef was simply not good

By nadavit |

Following recommendations i ordered the roasted beef sandwich. Was a disappointed. Tasteless. The free radish helps but it is overcooked.

Classic Philly sandwich

By lonk55 |

The other classic Philly sandwich is the Italian Pork, and this is the place to try it. Efficient ordering process got me the Italian Pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. Finding a place to sit was a bit of a trial in the Reading Market, but I really enjoyed my sandwich. Thin sliced, juicy pork with just the right amount of bite from the melting provolone inside and the broccoli rabe on top of a super fresh roll. Perhaps not as sublime as a perfect cheesesteak, but earns its place in the Pantheon of sandwiches around the country.

Lunch between 6 hour layover 🤤

By heaterguy100 |

I used to eat here a lot when I lived in Pa, but we moved to WPB, Florida this past June to my work. I flew into Philly early this morning for a quick meeting. Got that taken care of and stopped here for a fantastic lunch before catching an Amtrak all the way back to Florida. This food is so good that I will spend 36 hours away from home just to get eat here. Probably a one time trip, but I really do miss taking the Septa from Colmar to Jefferson station and then stopping here for lunch.👍🏻🤤🤤

Not worth the hype

By Relax35071759594 |

A bit disappointed in the sandwich. Pork was dry and lacked flavor. The line moved quickly during a very crowded lunch rush. Service was just ok. Not worth the price.

Dinic's is Number 1

By PegBK13 |

Dinic's didn't win the Travel Channel's "Best Sandwich in America" in 2012 without a good reason. Yes, their sandwiches are that good. I prefer the roast pork, whereas my husband prefers the roast beef. You cannot go wrong with either one. Be prepared to wait for your meal, though, Even at 10:30 in the morning it's tough to find a seat. Grab lots of napkins. You will need them. The meats are placed in a sauce that will eventually make your sandwich soggy, but who cares? It is worth it. There are some things you can add to your sandwich (such as sharp provolone, long hots, or broccoli rabe), but I don't thing they are necessary. If you travel to Philly this is a must do. (Hint: Try not to go at the height of lunch. In addition to the local offices being close by, The RT Market is a few blocks from several criminal justice locations and across the street from the PA Convention Center. You can barely walk around most of the Market from about 11-2.)
