We will happily return.

Excellent food and service! We, three world travelers, had the superb (and quite different) fried chicken, the Dungeness crab roll, rice cakes and cesar salad. The only change I will make on my next visit will be to ask that the green olives not be inserted in my cocktail--the first listed in the drink menu, the name of which I cannot recall. Before drinking any of the liquid I ate one of the olives and did not think it was to my taste, probably because it had been sitting in one of the alcohol. Without the olives the drink was very nice.

Award Winning Food Adventure

Excellent food adventure. We loved everything about TOMO. The food was the result of a very talented chef. We enjoyed the set menu with wine pairing on a very cozy well heated intimate setting in the patio section of the restaurant. ( blankets were available but not needed with the heat lamps ) We enjoyed crab, salad, albacore ,steak, lovely dessert and coffee. Each serving was just the right amount with excellent attentive service. The presentations were beautiful and we felt relaxed and not rushed thanks to the excellent pace as each course was presented. This is a must visit restaurant for anyone visiting Seattle.

Fun tasting menu - enjoy the adventure!

TOMO’s set menu is delightful - packed and filled with various flavors. Loved not knowing what was coming next and seeing what creative way they interpret each dish. So fun and tasty - highly recommend getting a Ressie and wait until you number is called for this great treat!!!

Outstanding flavors

It took some time to get a table and the commute to almost West Seattle was a little horror on a weekday coming from the East Side. But the meal made up for it. Every bite was absolutely delicious and well balanced. The food is Japanese fusion with bold flavors and textures that really hit the spot. Portions on the small side, but I left happy. Service was friendly and the space modern. You would almost miss it between a porn shop and a tattoo parlor. Overall well worth another visit.

Not a wise dining choice, Dick’s for you.

Tomo means “Friend, Wisdom” in Japanese, this restaurant run by former Canlis staff has an eclectic atmosphere. Sadly the service is irregular and slow, not friendly. The cuisine is amateur at best, odd ingredient pairings, poor temperature management, low flavor profiles and overtly expensive leading to poor dining value. Be sure to plan a stop at Dick’s post dining at Tomo. Not a wise dining choice.
